Revelation: Guide – Gearing Up From Levels 1-49

Mr. Easy for life come back at you guys once again with another revelation on live article got another guide for you guys, and this was actually requested by some of you. I’ve got this question through comments, as well as a couple of personal messages and whatnot, and that is gearing your character from level 1 to 49. So now a couple disclaimers before I get started.

I don’t necessarily know everything about the gearing up system. I’ve only been playing this game for like a couple weeks almost a month now, so I’m going to give you all the information that I possibly can. I know for a fact that I’m probably going to miss out on details. A lot of you guys can correct me if I’m wrong on any of them and of course you can add to it any. You can add any information to this guide in the comment section below, of course, where are you going to go and help me out and as I hope you write help me help you kind of thing, so I’m going to give you like the basics from what I know, and once you get the basics down, it’s pretty much the same thing as you level up between each bracket between 49 and then the 50s and then the 60s and the 70s.

It’s generally, in my opinion, all the same. It’s just a matter of knowing where to go and what to do right in order to get your gear, and we all know that best things like gear is actually crafting gear. So what I’m going to do here is I’m actually going to go ahead and tell you guys how to get some temporary placeholder gears in terms of raid gear, dungeon gear and all that and then the second part.

Well, we’re going to we’re going to talk about crafting gear writing like to how to get like the materials and what you got to do in order to my guess: unlock the ability to buy the materials right, because I’m a good thing about this game. Is that a lot of the materials before your crafting gear can actually be bought through your vendor and we’re to go ahead and we’re going to talk about that a little bit later on in this article but anyways? So I’m going to go ahead, let’s go ahead and get started.

Don’t want to make this too long. I don’t want to drown. You out. I will be spitting out a lot of information. Take some notes: rewind the article if you have to and overall our this with your friends. Of course, if you want to go ahead and let your friends know how to gear up, this is pretty much the basics of how to do it and let’s go ahead and get started. So, as you can see right here, I’m actually bring up the map.

I’r over here in this area right here, okay and this, why? The reason why I’m over here is because this is actually the the entrance to the dark fall dungeon. Okay, now the dark fall, a dungeon, keep in mind that we’re going to be getting four dungeons in CBT 1, it’s going to be dark, fall, misty hollow I deserted shrine and trial of the four kings. Okay, so dark fall is the first dungeon and when, of course, with the come when it comes to the first dungeon.

This is where your first set of gear is going to come from. Okay, usually, whenever you’re requesting and you’re leveling up your character, um you’re going to have some pretty bad gear, you’re going to have like some questing gear, it’s going to be like green grey quality items. It’s not going to be that great, and especially at level 40. If those of you have seen my how to get to level 40 in just under 4 hours or more go ahead and check out that article, the link is in the description below I pretty much go through how you can get to level 40 in just a Few hours of playing right and you can use utilize that into CBT, if you wanted to okay, so you’re going to have some questing gear all the way up until level 20, now keep in mind that the dark fall dungeon actually unlocks at level 20.

You’re going to go through your quest line, it’s going to bring you there, introduce you to the dungeon at level 20 you’re going to have some pretty shitty gear. Like I said the requesting and the dark ball area the dark floor. Dungeon is actually the first place that you want to go ahead and get your first set of raid gear dungeon gear, whatever okay, so as we enter through the the entrance. As you can see, it brings up this page here where it tells us the difficulties that we could do.

As you can see, this, one that I have selected is actually the the solo instance version, the one that you can actually do over and over again up to 99 times a day, and it’s made for one person you actually go through this with the this is The questing version, I have to say that yeah this is the questing version. You get a little bit of exp, but, as you go down here, you can see some rewards and you actually get um.

Depending on how many times did you do this solo version? You can actually get gear, that’s blue quality up to levels; 2:25, okay, right levels, 20 to 25. Alright, so you can definitely get some you this. This is definitely a good way to start out your gear right, depending on what level you are. Okay, if your level is 20 or yeah around this at level area 20 to 25, you can go ahead and get some gear from here for the solo instance, although I don’t necessarily want you to do this on this version over and over again, because I mean, Depending on what levels you are and I’ll be real with you guys, you can definitely get to at least level 30 to 35 within the first couple of hours the payout.

What the penny! If we get the spirit of essence, you may be even you may even be able to get the level 40 within the first day, but I’m assuming that you know you’re at least level 30 or at least going to hit up level 35 soon. So I don’t necessarily want you to get this. The first thing I actually want you to do is actually come into the easy mode. Okay, now the easy one is actually made for five people, but depending on what level you are 30 and above you can actually solo this.

Okay, even with your shitty questing gear that you have okay, this is actually a good way to start you off in terms of all your gear. As you can see it, Everage — is out to be levels 20 to 29. Okay in terms of the levelling of your gear right, so this is definitely a good way to start you off, you can go ahead and either solo this depending what level you are, or you can have a group of five people right.

You get your guild or use raid finder or whatever, but initially this is the first thing that I want you to do. Ought to get your first set of gear, okay, to get rid of those questing items, all those shitty green items coming there into dark fall and do the easy mode to get you some nice 2229 gear, so I’ve actually so load this dungeon this. This easy mode of dark form many times and you can actually get some purple gear from it, even though it doesn’t say it down here, there is still a chance that you can get purple quality on a level twenty to twenty nine gear.

Okay, so that’s still a factor that comes into play whenever you do this, I recommend, like I said I recommend you soloing this and you can get all the gear to yourself, but of course, if yet, if you want to do that, you have to be. I would say at least be level 30 before you attempt to solo this right, but either way go ahead and do that and if you want to right, I do recommend this, but you don’t necessarily have to if your level 30 right.

If you are level 30, you could actually do the hard one. I believe the hard one. You can only do a couple of times a day now and the Chinese server. It says you can do this five times a day, but I I’m not sure if that’s going to be the case for CBT right, they may change that. Maybe only you’re only able to do hard mode, Darkfall on twice a day, you’re going to get some pretty good exp. I will not lie about that, but with hard mode of course, you’re not going to get any indicators in terms of the mechanics.

That’s the differences and a few other things as well, and of course this is made for five people, so I’d like I said. Definitely, if you’re going to do hard mode at least be level 30, and I go ahead and get yourself use Raid Finder to make a guild, get a guild, get some friends and do some hard mode action together, because, as you can see, you can actually get Purple quality gear from levels 30 to 35, depending on what level you want? Okay, that’s what that’s really good starting out here in terms of your first time rating or your first time rating a hard mode in dark points.

If you can get some 30 to 35 gear on your first few attempts, then that’s awesome, okay and of course, the more the more you do, this everyday, the better, the easier it’s going to get high. If not, then it’s pretty much guarantee that you’re going to get 30 to 35 blue gear and yeah. So that’s going to set you up and by doing this, this is actually going to set you up quite easily for the the next, the the next dungeon okay.

So yeah alright, so I’m assuming that you know you’re pretty much you’ve gotten all of your you pretty much trashed, all your questing gear. You got one at least level 30 gear. The next thing I actually want you. What I want you to do is, as I come over here as I come up here. As you can see up, the road is uh. The next dungeon is misty Hollow. Okay, misty Hallows denied the next dungeon that you actually unlock as requesting, and I believe this one starts off at level.

25. Okay, so, as you can see here, the rewards here are quite amazing, okay, so this is the easy mode for misty Hollow. This is the Spider Queen dungeon that you’ve been hearing about. It starts off at level 25 and, as you can see, the rewards are pretty awesome right. You get some you get pretty decent exp, I’m not going to lie if you’re going to do a dungeon at least one dungeon a day. This is definitely the one I want you to do, because the exp here is quite amazing.

You also get. You also have a chance to get these materials right here now. This material is actually ties into your crafting gear. Okay, we’re going to talk about that later, but just now that this is a you can actually get this. This is very important because you need this. For your crafting gear this, by the way, if you’ve been sitting and you’ve, been wondering what this is. This is actually extra system points, reputation, points and what you could do with reputation points is, you can actually accumulate them and go to vendors and buy materials.

For your crafting gear, so this is very good to have and I believe, every time you run a dungeon you’re going to get some extras appoints reputation, points that you can use to go ahead in exchange for crafted gear material. Okay, this right here. I think this is a it’s like a fragment, and I believe this ties in to your legendary skills, your F skills right. I heard it’s a pretty low drop rate, but when you do get it, it’s very beneficial to unlocking your F skills right: okay, okay, so in terms of the gear.

So, as you can see here that you could actually, it says here that this dungeon actually does level 40 to 45 gear now, assuming that you guys are not level 4, it again, you can actually still come in here and get some 35 to 40 years. Okay, I do believe that you may actually be able to get level 30 to 35 gear if I’m not mistaken, but they’re going to be blues. But what I, what I’m seeing here is there is a chance that you could get 35 to 40 gear, blue or purple right there they’re pretty much putting all the good stuff on the table.

I think you can get 30 to 35 gear, I’m not if I’m not mistaken. I’r not totally sure about that. Though. You can correct me if I’m wrong, but if they don’t then you’re definitely almost guaranteed to get at least a couple Purple’s within the ranges of thirty five to forty or forty to forty five, depending on what your level is. As you can see here, even though this dungeon actually unlocks at level 25, you could actually do this from levels 25 and on.

So that’s why it says 25 to 79. This game is very um. The game uses the scaling system. I don’t know if you heard about that, but the scaling to making the the dungeons pretty much tailored in terms of difficulty towards your level right. So, for example, even though if this starts off at level 20 five, if your level 45 you’re, probably going to face off against level 45 mom’s and not level and not level, 25 mom’s, okay, you know what I mean or if your level 70, 76 or 56 Or 47, whatever level you are, you will be facing that level of mobs and bosses, of course, or pretty much right in the middle, depending on what what average level that you and your friends write.

If you come into a five man group, one person is like level 25, but another guys, level, 79 or 49, or something like that. It’s going to it’ll probably meet you right in the middle, like thirty five ish kind of something like that so yeah. This game is really big on the whole scaling system right, so that’s why you can actually come in here or in the later levels and still be able to get gear. I believe the max here, as you can see, is 40 to 45, though in terms of what kind of raid gear you can get but yeah, so you could actually do this, get some pretty decent gear and whatnot, okay and yes, so that is from 20.

That is from 25 and on okay. Now, let’s move on to another dungeon that I want to go ahead and talk to you about. So if I go up to the map – and I don’t actually have a teleporter here – but if I teleport over here and fly up over there right from here to there as we teleport there, that is actually the the entrance to desert shrine. Okay. So, let’s head over to desert, shrine and deserted shrine is kind of interesting to me.

Okay, it really is pretty much kind of interesting to me because, even though uh, if you are not, if you don’t have gear that is 30 to 35, you can actually get thirty to thirty-five gear guarantee from deserted shrine. It’s kind of weird because misty Hollow says that you can actually get thirty five to forty gear, but then it goes to. It goes to me saying that, like what, if people only have twenty to twenty nine gear from the dark fall, and they want that? Thirty to thirty-five gear, like I said, you can actually go to deserted shrine anomic and get it as a guarantee.

The problem with desert, enshrined, though why it’s the third, the next dungeon that on our list, is because, unlike misty Hollow that unlocks at twenty five deserted shrine, you actually have to wait until level 35 and not twenty five for it to unlock. Let’s see I’m looking for where’s the engine, the entrance is like in a mountain or something here we go here. We go all right right in here. Okay, here is the entrance to deserted shrine.

If any of you want to know that or as wondering as you can see right here, deserted shrine level 35, as you can see, oh that’s the hard mode, okay, so level 35 is when the easy mode drops or is when the easy mode is unlocked for You right and, as you can see here for the lubra wards, we have levels 30 to 35 gear, okay, and so this is something that this is something that’s kind of up to you, ish, okay, you know what I mean so, like I said with the whole Dark bar with the whole dark vault thing right: you’re, pretty much almost guaranteed to get an average item level of levels 20 to 29.

When you do your your dark mode, your dark fall easy mode. If by any chance you get a group and you actually do the hard mode and you actually have the levels 30 32 35 gear purple gear, then you can actually move over to misty Hollow and get some 35 to 40 gear. Depending on what level you are. But for those of you who actually only have 20 to 29 gear, okay – and you want to get that nice 30 to 35 gear – you don’t want to do the hard mode, darkfall dungeon – you can actually come in here.

The con with this is that you actually have to wait until you’re, actually level 35 to attempt it okay. So for awhile I would say you’re going to be stuck with levels 20 to 29 gear up until you reach level 35, and then you can come in here and guarantee get you some nice 30 to 35 gear, okay, alright, and that this is only if you, You pretty much can’t do the hard mode. Dark fault version right. Okay, so that’s why that’s? What I would say you should probably do is that if so, if you do, if you choose to do the dark fall hard mode, then definitely do that.

So you can get some nice 30 to 35 year and then move over to misty Hollow for some 35 to 40 gear. But those of you who can’t do that, I would say you’re stuck with that level. 30 gear definitely either weight to your level, 35 or whatever level. You are just level up to 35 and keep that 29 gear and come in here at 35 to get you some nice 30 to 35 gear. If that makes any sense, it’s kind of hard to explain, because it’s kind of the order of dungeons is a little bit reversed in my opinion, but you can definitely do this.

However, you want, in terms of this gear, keep in mind that none of this gear that I’m pretty much showing you or pretty much explaining to you, is nowhere near important. This is just kind of the foundation that you need to know it before you get to your crafting gear because, like I said when the game, the game is so big on scaling right the whole scaling system, you don’t want to be coming into misty Hollow where Or desert strong with questing gear, okay, if you’re level, 35 or level 40, and you still have requesting gear, guarantee you’re going to have a hard time.

Okay, so by doing these dungeons before you start crafting, your crafting gear is definitely going to help. You prevent you from going through that terrible experience of having shitty gear on a higher level, PvE activity right. Okay, so, like I said, overview, Darkfall levels 20 to 29. Once you hit level 35, you can actually come in here and get some 30 to 35 gear and once you’re 30 or once you’re 35 and above all of us 35 to 45, you can actually go back to misty Hollow and I get some nice purple gear.

Okay, if not, then definitely do dark fall, hard mode, get you some nice 30 to 35 gear and then go straight into misty Hollow for that 35 to 40 gear and all the way up to 45. Okay, now, by any chance now, once you reach, once you actually reach level 40. Okay, once you reach level 40, like I said, it’s definitely possible to actually reach 35 to 40 within your first day of playing okay, it’s definitely possible once you reach level 40, you can actually queue up for the hard mode, deserted shrine and, as you can see Here you can get some nice 35 to 40 gear.

Okay, not only that, but you can also get these nice rewards. As you can see, this is used for refining as well as this as well. These two items tie into refining and enchanting your gear, which is definitely very important. I know what this is you’re going to have to help me out on what this is as well as this item right here. This item right here. I think this is actually crafting material for you crafting material for your crafting gear, so Matt’s for your crafting gear could actually drop in hard mode and, I think, even easy mode.

If I, if I’m not correct, I know you can okay, you get extras and points. Instead, okay reputation, points alright, so reputation, points for our easy mode and then hard mode. I think you get some crafted materials, which is definitely beneficial okay. So if you hit level 40 within the first day right, you can immediately actually queue up after you do your darkfall for the day, you can actually try and get a group together and queue up for either hard mode or easy mode first and then go into Hard mode deserted shrine and get you some nice 35 to 40 gear.

Okay for those of you who are actually level 40 to 45. Like I said, I want you to go back to misty Hollow and get the levels 40 to 45 gear. Okay, if that makes any sense, okay I’ll put a list on the order that I want you to do it in okay, but as initially that’s what I want you to do so Darkfall first move over to deserted shrine. If you can’t do hard mode, if you can’t do hard mode great and then go straight, then go straight to misty Hollow for 35 to 40, then from 40 to 45 stay in misty Hollow, if not come to the hard mode, deserted shrine in and get you 35 to 40 gear, okay, that makes any sense all right.

So and of course not just if I go to my character, you won’t just only get like Armour pieces. You also get accessories as well. So keep that in mind you will get accessories. Maybe a couple of blue or purple weapons as well I’ll, be keep in mind that you should definitely always keep that level 37 craft weapon. You will get the level 37 craft a weapon, no matter what, if you follow the quest lines, you don’t have to worry about.

You know grinding materials for this one, but it turns of like your offhand and accessories. You will also get that as well as your regular gear pieces. Okay, so now that you are level 45, you have an average item level of levels 40 to 45. Now we come into the fun part. Alright, and if I fly down here and we’re going to be talking about, we will be talking about crafted gear: okay, let’s go ahead and fly down to the city, arm, side, teleport teleport to the city; and let’s talk about us, talk about some crafting gear.

All right, so the crafting gear actually starts at levels 45 to 49, and this is definitely what I would consider the top of the line. Endgame our content. Okay, I would say endgame for me, for you should start at like 35 and above right, but for some, maybe 25, because I’m misty Hollow you’re going to be doing misty Hollow quite a lot. But in terms of gear wise, I would say this is that this is it right here, man, okay, this is it right here.

So if I talk to this merchant right here, all the way to the right, I click on the first option. You can actually see this is. This is what we got going on right here, alright, so this is our crafting gear. We got our helmet right here and then we got breastplate and then we got hands. We got our legs and then we got our feet. Okay, and as you could see here, this all ties into an average item level of 45 to 49, so the the feet unlock at 45 49 legs, unlike at 45, and the hands on like at 46 breastplate at 46 and headpiece at 48.

Okay, so starting out from 45 to 49, you will be accumulating your abilities to unlock and craft your crafted gear, okay, so yeah and then the same thing goes with. You know the you know: 59, the 60 and then the seventies. It’s all the same. Basically, but yeah, this is pretty much the end game gear right here I would say, and yes, so that is the accessories or now I’m talking about the gear and the armor pieces over here.

If you click option 2, you actually have the accessory path right here too, so you get your necklace. You got your ring and then you get your earring right here. This unlocks at 45, this unlocks at 48 and then this one is at 49, okay, so yeah. Alright so, like I said now that you got your 45, your 40 to 45 rate gear, the next thing I want you to go ahead and do is a start grinding out. Your reputation points now, keep in mind.

I didn’t actually say this. You should have actually been grinding out. Your exorcism points pretty much as soon as you hit level 30. I believe the exorcism actually unlocks at level 30, if you click see on your character, go all the way to the end. This is your exorcism reputation right here. Okay, it starts at level 30 and pretty much what this is is it shows you your rank right here, and it shows you all your reputation points that you have accumulated 998 just by soloing dungeon by myself.

You get exorcism points. If you see it in the Duluth table what you can get right so so, once your level 30, like I said, doing, part of your dailies should be whatever the exorcism dailies are and, as you can see on the right over here, this is actually where your Daily exorcism quests are going to be, I’m pretty sure, so we have the daily and then you got like a god mode, hard motor with it. I think it’s like a hard mode and then this one should be like a weekly.

I think I think this would be a weekly, so it’s like that, so it’s like a daily dungeon, a daily hard mode and a weekly god mode. Dungeon will be in your brackets. I believe right, if I remember this correctly correct me if I’m wrong – oh yeah, this will be in your brackets and, as you can see, you will accumulate like a hundred points here and points there, and I think that’ll actually go towards your leveling.

Okay, your level and, as you can see, I’m only rank one, so there’s only a few materials that I can actually buy at Rank 1, but each time you rank up, you will actually see that this is the new materials that you can buy so that material. We saw at the desert deserted shrine. I can actually purchase this instead of looking for it in a dungeon drop at level. 2. Okay, but yeah now I’ll talk I’ll, tell you this I’ll! Tell you this much this material this this and that can all be purchased from a merchant.

Ok, that’s the best part about this crafting gear is that a lot of the crafting materials can just be purchased to reputation points. The only thing you have to do is accumulate reputation, points rank up, get the minimum required, ranking and you’re going to be able to purchase them. Okay, this item right here, I’m not too sure about this thing of this – is like a transformation stone from bns. I’r not entirely sure where you can get this.

I do know for a fact that you can buy it off the auction house, but I don’t know – and I and I think it actually comes in fragment, to fragments to like. If you get a certain amount of the fragments of this stone, you can combine it and make a stone right, but from here I do know for sure this is a dungeon drop as well as a dismantling drop so like, for example, if you get purple gear From the desert shine that you don’t need anymore, you can actually dismantle it and you have a chance to get this material.

I think I’m pretty sure correct me if I’m wrong, but in terms of buying it through vendors through extras and reputation points you can buy. This all the way down to here, alright, you can buy these for materials. I’ll show you which one of the vendor is this one like, I said, I’m not too sure about where to get it. Hopefully some of you guys know where to get it. I can, let me know, but yeah so, like I said once you get level 45.

I want you to go ahead and keep the gear that you have and pretty much level up. Do all your dailies. Do your afk spawn your guild dailies and level up all the way up to 49? Okay and the reason why I don’t want you to work on your gear, your crafting gear materials until your level, 40 49 is because I want you to have the ability to have all of your crafting gear unlocked before you start grinding out the materials.

Initially, everything here and the crafting materials is pretty much the same. You know you got these guys right here and then same thing with this with the breastplate and then this one right here, this item you can actually buy as well. You can buy this item too and yeah it’s pretty much all the same, and then, of course, when we hit the 50s right, they’ll add a few things, as you can see, there’s more materials added once we hit the 50s, but in terms of CBT we’re only Going to be levels 49, you only have to worry about getting these materials right here.

Okay, so that’s the gear and I’ll talk about the accessories, just real quick. So, as you can see, if I go to the ring this, you give three different options of rings, and I don’t know if you can see this, but each ring has a different set of stats. Okay – and this is what’s so amazing about the freedom of your build – you could actually craft three different rings with three different three different stats.

Depending on what build you have, okay, but what I want you to do in terms of material efficiency. I want you to craft the ring that has the stats, that’s tailored to your favorite, build okay before you start crafting more rings or whatever. I really do want you to craft your first one or two rings, that’s tailored to the build that you’re going to be using 24/7. Okay, like I said, you have three different options, but pick the one that suits your build.

The most okay and same thing goes for the earring, as you can see here, different stats right, but they both unlock at 45. You have the option of choosing between two different kinds of crafted earrings in terms of accessories, or I mean, depending on what you want. You can have one of you have one of this one of that. You know one of this, one of that or two of these two that you know you know what I mean.

The only thing you don’t really have an option is the necklace right, because you only have one slot to add your necklace in. So you don’t have one choice, but I’m just saying this is a pretty cool feature that gives you the freedom to choose. What stats you kind of want in terms of some of your accessories so definitely use it to your user. To your advantage, I would say so yeah and same thing. The materials right is, as you can see, you got this material then I want which can all be purchased right so yeah.

That is the gear for the crafted gear. I want to go ahead and talk to you guys real, quick about the the weapons. So, as you can see here, we have a level 37 weapon right here. You actually get this through questing. So don’t worry about this one or crafting this one, because you’re going to get this through requesting, but as soon as you hit 49, as you can see right here, as soon as you hit 49, you can actually use your level 37 weapon as a prerequisite material To help you get your level 49.

Okay, you don’t have to worry about getting this stone right here. You can immediately trade in your 37 for the 49. Okay, so yeah that’ll be used as a crafting material and then of course, this three right here like I said you can buy this through it through the the vendor. Okay, get this with the vendor, and this was, I would say, if you’re going to do a crafted weapon, or I mean I crafted gear, I would say that your very first crafted gear that you would you should probably make first, is your weapon majority of your Dps and all your damage or whatever comes from your weapon, so it’s very important that you actually utilize your materials to the fullest and I would say the easiest thing, but the most efficient thing to do is to focus on getting your level 49 crafted weapon.

Okay, so, as you can see and like I said since you’re going to have this, it’s since you’re going to have this as a prerequisite, it makes it even easier. You don’t have to worry about getting this. Like I said, you can just immediately do this and I, like I said you can buy all this stuff and then just make it okay, so yeah same thing goes with your main hand, if you can okay, because, like I said or I’m in your offhand because, Like I said, most of your damage comes from your weapon, so it’s very important that you utilize that so, as you can see here, this is my level 49 offhand, which is like the hand cannon, as you can see that actually, oh, that actually unlocks at level 46, so you could actually start crafting or getting mats for it at 11:46.

If you wanted to okay and another cool thing about the crafting gear, as you can see, it actually has two gem slots open, so you can there’s always room for gems right and you can actually buy some pretty good starting out gems from the vendor as well. A lot of stuff for the crafting gear can be bought through reputation bender. The only thing you really have to do in terms of like I said the basics, the basics of gearing up is getting a lot of reputation.

Points: okay, getting a lot of reputation points as well as ranking up to at least I would say four okay, so I yeah these are your three vendors that you want to be looking for in on the map here in in this wonderful city, and this is Pretty much cutting these. These guys will give you the best gear, okay yeah. So I talked about the vendors okay. Let’s go, let’s go check out those vendors real fast okay.

So if I come up the stage right here, alright fly up the stairs. As you can see, we have some vendors lined up right here. Okay, these are where the vendors are that sell the materials okay. So if I, if I talk to this one I’ll show you I will show you this one: first, real, quick, oops! Oh, if I talk to this one and I go to the second tab, as you can see, she sells gems this right here. These are some gems that you can use to put in your that you can use the socket into your your crafted weapons.

Okay, as you can see here, pretty much, you need 1/5, I needed 150 of whatever the hell. This is, and I can go ahead and purchase one of these gems. As you can see, it’s got a it’s got some stats and it has a bonus roll on it: okay plus 10, whatever the hell, it is and yeah same thing for this and that and, as you can see, I think I want to save the ones that Maybe have better stats, I don’t know actually need needs.

One of these, I’m not sure where the hell I’m going to get this, but this is something that you actually need in order to buy it. I’r sure this would be like a dungeon drop or a quest drop or whatever or like a daily reward, or something like that, but in terms of gems, some of it some of your nice starting out gems, you can go ahead and buy it through here. Of course, I’m sure you can get gems through like PvP or like PvE daily activities or whatever you can get a measurement wards, but if you want to buy them, you guys should come to this one.

This vendor right here, okay and same thing right here. These are gems as well right, two different kinds of gems, so yeah and I believe, okay and then the one next to her. She actually sells gems as well. If I go to the second tab right here, right CC sells more of these kinds of gems right. The different types of gems – this is what she sells and, of course, like I said, here’s that material I was talking about that you can get through dungeon or I’ll bite through your vendor or dismantling old gear.

Okay, this is that material that I said you can actually buy. So if I, if I open this up, as you can see, I have nine hundred ninety nine. Ninety eight exorcism points that I accumulated just by running dungeons and it cost ninety of them to get one. The one thing that I am missing, though, is rank. Three I’m only rank one, and I believe you need to be rank. Three ought to buy this material right here.

Okay, this is some nice crafted material. Okay. So if you do that, and if I open, if I come down here – and I go to the second tab, as you can see – remember those materials that was needed for the crafting gear, like I said you can actually buy them right here same thing and of Course, when it comes to crafted gear materials, it looks like they’re going to need not just exorcism points or rank four, but also 40 of whatever the hell.

This is – and this is something that I actually do not know how to get so we’re going to have to research that on how the hell we’re going to get this material, but in terms of the crafting gear meds. Of course, you can buy it through this vendor right here, as you can see, okay, so these this, for these formats are pretty much the ones you’re going to be buying the most and then, of course, you also have this one right here.

So pretty much keep these five this one and the four right here to keep these five items on the list of things to buy things to prioritize, I’m fine! Okay! This is pretty much what you’re going to be needing in order to craft your 45 to 49. Crafting gear, okay and yeah, I think that is about it guys in terms of the basic stuff that we’re going to be needing to know in CBT. I think that’s pretty much all you need to know.

Okay, so yeah guys. Hopefully you enjoyed that. I think. That’s all I wanted to cover these. Are these other vendors. They sell other useful items, but I’m not sure what they are, but in terms of like crafting materials and gems, come to this girl or come to this merchant right here and come to this merchant right here. Okay, well check out on the map. Like I said, we are right here in the city you will get to the city just by questing, from your first twenty levels and yeah.

I think this is going to be the city that everybody’s going to be in just because all the good shit is here in terms of crafting wise in whatnot, so I yeah, but either way guys. Thank you so much for reading. I think that’s all I wanted to cover I. Hopefully this helps you right before cbt launches and I want to go ahead and give wish the best of luck to all of you in terms of your leveling, your leveling journey and your crafting your gering journey.

Okay, any questions you may still have leave it in the comment section below. Hopefully I can answer them. If not, then I apologize but either way guys. Hopefully this helped you out right before CBT and thank you so much for reading. Please stay tuned for more content that come your way and hopefully you guys are all having a very very easy day. This has been a one-man army, mr eazi, for life and I’m not peace.

So, actually, before I go, I wanted to go ahead and make this quick announcement before I go. So the link to my twitch blog is actually in the description box below. If you haven’t noticed that already, I went ahead and posted that in there now keep in mind that my twitch blog is actually brand new. So no followers, no article articles, nothing like that. It’s brand new, I just set it up, and that is the blog that I’m going to be using when we start live streaming on CBT, okay, I’ll make another announcement on Thursday.

Live Production: In depth look at hardware & software of ATEM Mini & Pocket Cameras

In my studio and I interview them live so then in that case I only use the ATM mini just to be able to switch between the cameras, but but otherwise all the idea of stuff was actually done on a completely separate device. So right now everything is actually being done here through the ATM mini, including the audio. So I have my rode ntg-2 and it’s being fed through my camera. In this case, is the Blackmagic Ursa mini Pro, and the idea basically goes through like camera, including you know, and then the audio, including the the the article, obviously goes here to my ATM mini, which in this case it’s on blog 3 you’ll notice.

Here I have the the you know, the blog three or number three years as a red, which means that I’m basically right now showing this this defeat now here also, you guys will notice. I have a sort of my other two devices that are music, so in this case I’m using the ninja Inferno from Atomos and that’s simply you know you could use any monitor if you wanted to – or you don’t even need a monitor. But in this case I’m using this monitor because it’s kind of nice for me when I’m talking to my main camera, I can just click the glance and make sure that you know I’m actually looking at the right camera, for example, because I can see whatever eighth And Minnie is outputting in and I can see it here, so I can see what angle I’m in like, for example, of our you know, switch someone well, some of these go stand again.

I can see that let’s see right now with some close-up of there of my eight and mini here, plus I’m actually using the an inferno to record onto this. Basically all my whole article output. So whatever I’m doing during my live streaming setup, I’m using this Ashley to record it and that’s kind of like that, I would say the biggest difference between the 18 million and the latest, one that came out, which is the ATM mini Pro 8 and mini Pro.

I mean there’s a few other differences, but the biggest one is that it allows you to record directly to like a USB Drive with the 80 mini. You can’t the rock directly record within it, but you have to HDMI out so you can plug it into an external recorder like you know whether it’s a black magic article system. This case I’m using the atomos inferno and you can record there now the laptop kind of comes in handy when you want to do sort of some of the other advanced features, or you know a lot of other little settings you wan na.

Just that you can’t really do directly on the ATM mini, simply because there’s just not enough space for all the buttons. So in here you have just a lot more control, and so, if let me kind of just show you quickly sort of the layout, so you comes with the software. Well, you go you’re going to install the software when you get to 8 and Minnie and Satyam’s software control. It also comes with the ATM setup and in this case you basically would you click in here.

You have your IP address things like that. You can change. You have your you’re, basically panel preferences, so you have switching mode, you can have it to program preview or cat pass and program. Preview. Basically, just means that when you press on the button one of the buttons, it doesn’t directly switch, it’s kind of just arms and I arm is basically one of the cameras on one of the article feeds and then only once you press, cut or ro water would Be for your transition, then it would cut to it in the i/o usually use the cut path, simply because I’m give the operating in myself.

So I don’t wan na have to press once and then fumble and look for something else. So I just kind of have my fingers here on these four buttons for the four different article inputs and I can just switch the. Could you switch between all of them by just you know, tapping it right. So I just I don’t have to basically do this and then do that now. If I wanted to, I can also do it with transitions, because I can just put my auto here button and now, when I click you’ll notice, it does the the transitions nicely.

So, in this case, it’s set up just to do a fade. Some of the other things you can do up here is like I said you have fade to black, meaning just cuts to black. You also have for the actual transitions. You can change the duration of it right now. It’s half a second. You can do one second, for example, or you can do, let’s see two seconds so you’re going to be very slow, dissolve from one angle, to the other, and and again you can do all that stuff and actually a lot more in the eighth and mini software.

Basically, so it gives you basically more control over all those things here we have some of the other effects that you can do again. I’ll show you more once we’re in the eighth and menu, because I just prefer to do these things there. You have a key because you can actually do a chroma key like if I had a green screen set up behind me. You can in real time basically key it out and you can put whatever article or still photo image as a background behind you.

You also have a picture basically picture-in-picture effect. What that does is, if I click on it, you’ll notice, right now. I have it set up to my camera, one which is a close-up of you, know this camera here over my shoulder and then here. If I switch here – and I again turn on the picture of the picture – and in this case again you can see – I have my other angle but overlaid now over the part where I’m talking so in case you have another angle, you can do that and and Again, this is all fully customizable, but to adjust for some for, like the size of it exact position or stuff.

You would have to do that in the ATM mini, because, if I were to switch now, if I were to press any of these buttons right now, like basically here on the on the actual keyboard, the only difference really is that, like, if you look at it, I have these four buttons and I can I can do picture-in-picture, but the second I press and DC will just default, it’s basically to its standard setting or its standard size and and the location of of the picture-in-picture.

So right now I usually like to have it a bit bigger like you guys, can see right now, but I mean maybe switch to another angle and now, let’s say I press here, let’s say to be on the bottom left corner you’ll notice. Now it gets much smaller, and so it just doesn’t look as good. I don’t think it’s as visible, but you know I can switch to the bottom right corner bottom, the top right and left – and that’s pretty much all you have up here.

So, that’s why I find that a lot of these things I prefer to do in the 8m mini software and some of the other things do you have up here. You have a still image that you can cut to so in this case I actually have a lower thirds graphic, so it doesn’t make sense for me to cut there so I’ll show you guys that in a bit you have a black. Basically, we just want to cut to black, for whatever reason you can do that, and then you have here buttons.

Basically, for you know, I said the four different article inputs and in this case I only have three cameras, and then you also have above it is basically the audio follows article buttons I meaning. If you want to use the audio from one of these cameras, you would click that and it would always basically, whenever you switch to that article source, it would use the audio from that camera. Whatever camera is, are you using you can have you know we set button for resetting all the settings and you have little arrows up and down so you can adjust the volume on each of these.

Basically thing article input, so these buttons here above each of these article inputs are basically just for the audio and then this here for our for the two mic inputs that you can do so. The 18 million has a three-and-a-half millimeter input, jacks that you can input. Let’s say a lav microphone or something like that, and then you can also adjust the volume of it and then turn it on and off pretty straightforward other than that.

You have four HDMI inputs here on the back of the ATM mini and then you have one HDMI output which in this case again like I said it goes to my atomos here and Ferno or ninja, and for now to record it. And then you have a USBC cable and that’s for sending the the live-streaming or basically the article signal out and so that’s plugged into my laptop so that I can now stream this. You know whether, basically I can connect to YouTube or Facebook, and I can just directly stream it there or usually the way I do it is.

I actually have it here, basically, switching here to my camera or actually my keys. I usually end up using the OBS software because I prefer it and I can do some other cool things with it. So when I’m streaming, I kind of use that and then through that software, I send out my article signal and then the the one more thing they have appears. You have a Ethernet connection here on the back, which is again kind of allows you to do a loop.

It’s pretty much the same thing as a USB see allows you to do and and that’s pretty much it there’s nothing else there so like. I said it’s a cool little device state and mini because it’s so small light easy to travel with, and you can use it to do some really cool stuffs but, like I said, you’re, probably always going to have it paired with at least a laptop. But if you want to have, I think that even better kind of you know capability, I would say, get an external monitor, slash recorder, so that you can actually record your whole output.

So, let’s see if you’re a live streaming and you’re, you know you lose your internet connection. For whatever reason and and something happens, you you’re at least always recording your whole session. That you’re doing is that worst case scenario you can later on upload it to YouTube or whatever it is so people can still see that how the whole life stream want anyways here now going back to software so and the Athan mini setup.

That’s like a little software that lets you kind of change, some of the settings for me when it comes to the like the basic things, which is to switch camera angles. I usually do that by switching there. You know basically pressing the buttons, because it’s easy for me to do whether I’m doing your podcast with somebody you’re doing a article like this. I can very easily except cut to my hands now have to here my main camera, and then you know cut to my little side angle that I have so it’s easy for me to do that.

Just by you know, the kind of I can just have my fingers on there and I can remember where everything is now. If you want to do some of the advanced things, then that’s when the a-10 mini software is really going to come in handy. So, for example, what can you do here? Well, we obviously you switched the different views, so you have again your for a different article input, so you’ll notice right now, I’m on one article input 3.

So it says here, camera 3. If I go to switch to camera 1 you’ll see what it does does their it’s, which is there now you’ll notice that this thing also moves. That’s because I have my transition now turned on so you’ll notice here, there’s a transition style, so I can do a mix and I can actually, if it’s on poor I can are me now like. I can go to preview and let’s say I want to go from camera one to camera.

Let’s say to or came out it’s a 3, which is my my view, kind of my or actually yeah. Let’s go to my side camera here now. What I can do is, since I have a mix bit, which is basically a like a dissolve. If I slide this slider you’ll notice what’s happening here, is it’s basically kind of like right now right in the middle of I leave it, then it’s kind of 50 % showing them. You know camera 1 and 50 % showing camera 2 or like in C up here, but I can just we manually literally pull this and do like a like a dissolve.

So that’s pretty kind of cool. I think that you have you, have that kind of control and then, like I said I can keep on going back and forth and I can even you know, play around with it. Then I’m not DJ with it. So that’s one one of the cool things that you can do with this, that you can’t do directly on the 8 and mini you can do dip. For example, you can change the transition style, so you have mix which is like I dissolve dip is, if I were to ear right now, do Auto button you’ll notice, it kind of dips to a color right.

So in this case it’s a white color and then, for example, I can go and change it to the tail wipe. So again, if I click on it, you’ll see. Does this wipe transition and then I can also do hero. Is this dve? I forgot exactly what that stands for, but basically, as you can see, kind of slides in the other article source. Now you can change these settings. Like example, for the dip you can change the color of the light right or or that salt color.

You can change the drink, the white, what kind of a wipe it does like? You can change all these things by going further and here and adjusting all these settings. If here I’m just kind of quickly going back, preview is like, I said, just your arming sort of your next blog there you’re going to be your article, just basically signal you’re going to be cutting to or dissolving to. You also have the black right that you can, you can switch to.

You, have a dump also at the color one and two, which are the basically solid colors that you can put in here into the ATM software, and then you have also your media player one. So you can have one media player and I’ll explain kind of how that works in a second then here you also have your kind of a it’s called know as the next transition, and you can have basically different things, so you can have example.

Like your background, you can do your key in chroma keying, all that stuff. You know this if I click on right now, the arrow and it says now it’s on air and there was a transition here. That said, it’s one, second! Well, basically, what I did is now, if I switch even to my angle here and by the way right now, I, instead of cutting, I did to add on the transition, but I’m I’m I basically put you know I put it in there to the dve transition.

So because of that did that cheesy slight but anyways right now, you’ll notice, I can switched my different angles and I have my lower third graphic in there and now again by clicking here the arrow. I can basically dissolve that out and everything it takes about. A second for it to do because it’s here’s the the set in the duration, so you can adjust this, make it faster or slower. If I wanted to, I can just simply cut and actually like just make it.

You know basically to make that lower third graphic up here like this and disappear, but just by turning it on and off and Ty just simply means that you can tie it to one of the angles. Basically, one of your camera program outputs. Now, how can you change, for example, these graphics, so let’s say I’ll switch right now and you’ll notice. Here again, I have my little lower third graphic. Well, you can actually change that by going into the media, so in the media you can actually change the different graphics.

So you can see right now my media player and you can only have one media player. That’s why, if isn’t, but you get some of the more professional eight and many switchers from Blackmagic, then you’ll be able to have more of these things and you can load them. But with this one you were limited to only one, so you can resentful lower than one, but you can have a whole bunch of other ones, sort of ready.

So, let’s see, if I don’t want to have this or let’s see if you have like a guest and – and you want to have like a graphic prepared for your guests right so their name and their whatever website, and things like that. You can have all of these prepared. You can load in up to 20 into the 8 and mini basically software control, and then I can just grab it here. Quickly, drag it and you’ll notice. Now my lower third graphic automatically updated time.

Our free support can be. You know, like a graphic that covers the whole screen like in this case this one you see, and so that’s how you can easily kind of drag and drop it and change it now. Usually you’re not going to be just kind of switching them life like that you’re going to go again, turn it off right. So, for example it in this case I have it to dissolve out and then you can go quickly. You know, or or let’s see, if you have somebody actually operating this wall – let’s see a live stream is going on.

You could have another person doing this and then they can basically switch quickly out the graphic go back here to the switcher and then click Auto, and then you basically now nicely fade into your other graphic that you want to fade in and out. So that’s basically how this works going back to the transition styles. Here is also how you can also change the like. I said I can right now arm, let’s say camera one when I go: click auto you’ll notice.

It changes to that right. Now it’s sent to the dve so I’ll change it to just dissolve second dissolve and then in here I can change the speed of it. So, like I said on the ATM mini, you have presets for half a second one, second two seconds and when I click that you’ll notice, it changes here too. So right you know one and a half seconds once they can have a second, but you can also manually go in here and you can put whatever number you want.

So you can, you know, kind of further again adjust it. You have more control than you. You you ever have like directly on the 8 and mini, and that’s basically how this whole page works right. Now, here’s some of these other kind of settings. I have palettes, so you have your color generator. So those are the things that basically like, like. I said you can cut here to your four different camera input or you can cut to fit some poor black.

Just a black screen. You can cut actually to color bars and then you can also cut to your media player, one, which is your graphic. So, let’s see, if I go to my media player one and then now quickly, let’s say I want to you know loading this little graphic I can go in here and I can press media player 1 and you’ll notice. That’s actually now outputting here on the basically on my main output or basically that that’s what I would be streaming right now and now I can again change those graphics by going to my media upper here, tab and just drag and dropping whatever.

You know graphic that I want, so that’s that’s one of the things that you can do and you can also switch by the way to the pictures right here. Basically, by if I go and I go to see if I cut here to this angle of the 8 – a mini and you’ll notice, here of example – I can go and I have a still – and I have the black buttons here. So still is basically the media player one that the grad of a graphic you you, you load him there, so they clicked that you’ll notice again it cuts cuts to that now.

I can also dissolve to that so, and I can do my transitions right. So this basically acts like another article source kind of GP. You can think of it in those terms and that’s basically what this is and the colors. I said you have color 1 and color 2. You can adjust those here, so you have color one color two and you can make it man whatever it is that you want to make it so you can adjust these and let’s say I make this kind of turquoise color, and so, if I wanted to, I Could cut to this now? Why would you want to do that? Well, sometimes I don’t know, maybe you’re going to have a lower third graphic displayed over this or or something else that’s up to you or maybe, let’s see if you’re doing a chroma key and then maybe you want to just have like a solid color to know Behind you, you can, you can use it for all kinds of things so that that’s up to you and then the same thing is, for example, if you go, if you want to do, for example, like some of the other transitions example, switching from mix to dip, Like I said you can dip into the different colors and you can actually change the color of those of the dip.

So, for example, if I go here to transitions so over here on my palettes and I go to dip you’ll notice that I can also adjust the rate at which is, this is happening that did and I can change the dip source. So I can basically say color one color two or I could even go and sheep a example dip to media player one. So now, if I go and do auto you’ll notice, it will switch to my my little graphic that I love and very quickly there.

So you that’s how you can kind of thing or let’s see if I wanted to dip to that turquoise colors and I would go a color too and then again I’ll go here and dip me see. That’s that’s the kind of stuff that you can do. If you go, for example, to wipe, see wipe, you also have the all the different settings for what kind of a wife you can do. As you can see, you can do all kinds of wipes so go, go, let’s say top and bottom that kind of stuff.

So now, if I say cut to camera one you’ll notice here, I can do that little wipe like that from top and bottom there you can see. I can reverse it. So now it’s going the other direction. I can also again change the duration of it. So that’s very easy, so I’ll change it to two seconds, so you can see Goods going slowly now. I can also go if I want to – and in this case I’m going to go – maybe you’re the softness.

So I can change the softness. Alright, you could see it’s kind of a soft the border, but I can make it too. We set it to zero, and now it’s going to be this kind of a hard line right as its switching from one angle to the other, the width you can have like a border with so and then again you can choose the color. So let’s say I wanted to have that turquoise color, so color too, and then now, if I go and do my transition you’ll notice, it just has this kind of a color line there and I cannot even softened up too.

If I wanted to so you can do all kinds of things again. You can really sit in here and tweak a lot of these settings, but that’s basically what that does and then you know you can easily switch to another would see going from one corner to another, or you know doing this kind of what I would say kind Of more cheesy transitions, but if you wanted to whatever, for whatever reason you have this and then your DVD settings you can, as you can see, you can have it again going from different directions.

So let’s say I wanted to go. Let’s say again from top to bottom, so I’m going to go from my main camera here to close-up of the ATM mini. So if I do the switch you can see. Basically, it just slides that out like that right and you can again adjust the rate of it. You can change the like the direction of it here and like this, so you can play around with all these things. Now, some of the other cool things you can do is you can enable here the effects and in effects you can, for example, go to Mia player1 again as your fill source or you can be any of the other things with the one or the other cameras Or colors or the solid colors that you have, let’s see right now, I’m going to drag and drop my big sort of talentless films here, graphic.

If I use that and that’s basically saying that the fill source is going to give me media player one, the key the key for it is also media player. One and now, if I do this, you’ll notice what’s happening. So it’s kind of like that graphic goes by right. For me, it’s kind of a corny thing, but you could have like. Let’s see, I don’t know some kind of a graphic that you do and then it kind of dissolves one one shot to the other.

So you have that capability, you can even do up here with a DVD. You can switch from not just doing a let’s say a push from the corner or things like that, but you can actually go and also do let’s say a squeeze, don’t say: squeeze it to the left side. So you can do all of these things. Basically, using the hardware right but, like I said, to access all these settings, you still need a laptop. So just just keep that in mind, but that’s kind of worry word.

This software basically kind of again opens up all these possibilities that, but the ATM mini. Has you know kind of lets you let you adjust all these settings going to fine-tune? There’s a fine tune, this all so anyways right now, I’m going to switch the transition back to just a dissolve, which is something that I use myself mostly now. What I’m going to do is I’m going to go also the downstream key, so the downstream key here I can for some poor neighbor again, let’s say the media player one and things like that and that’s for the basically dead here downstream key one like I showed You so that’s you know like right now.

I have that big graphic, so if I enable it you’ll notice it just kind of going to sit there and cover my face so most likely. I would want to go and probably load in my lower thirds kind of thing there, bumper and then in here those how you can change it. So you can have that you can have a caller, but you can use, for example, ugly. You can use, but my let’s say turquoise color, but you know I can use a different key right.

Like let’s say if I were to use this graphic and you see it would basically take the shape because it would use the Alpha or the key from daya graphic right. So that’s how you can kind of play around with these things. So again, I’m going to you know: go is back to media player one and I’m going to use that as my lower thirds you can mask its meaning. You can kind of like see, cut off the top and the bottom and things like that.

So, let’s see the right side see, I can like cut it off. Let’s say I don’t want it to be like that, so those are all kinds of things that you can do. You can also that add a pre multiply key in this case. This would look bad, but in case you had a graphic that was like a basically over black and this in and here I was actually loading a PNG files which are just have a transparency built in. So you don’t need a pre multiplied key in there, but those are kind of things you can invert the key.

Obviously, all kinds of things like that that you can do and then the last thing you have here is to fade to black, which again you can pretty much only adjust the rate or the speed at which is it’s. You know the fade to black is going to happen. So that’s basically what you have here in your palettes, the upstream key by the way is for your your chroma, like so, for example, you’re going to be doing chroma and you’re going to have let’s say like a like a blue or green green screen behind you.

That’s where you’re going to go in there and adjust these settings. I can’t show them to you right now, because I don’t have a green screen with me, but it’s pretty straightforward. So you pick your color, you some porn all that stuff and then you adjust it and it does a pretty good job for busy creating a real-time mask. So you can adjust together the the mask, the keys, all that kind of stuff. You can again further adjusted in there.

You can adjust you luma key. So let’s say if you wanted to, I don’t know key out like some of these really bright areas or the dark areas. Maybe in my shot you could do that too. So you can in that, do it and those kinds of things and then you have other also things you can do like patterns and stuff. So you know, there’s all kinds of here things that you can use, but I’m going to let that leave that, for you guys to play around cuz.

I guess there’s a lot of settings going back to media player, which is basically to just tap all these settings right that you had so in the media player, you can again change the different graphics right that you have so you can also in here quickly change Them now, the thing that you have to be aware of is that, with a ten minute, you cannot load in actual article. Let’s give files for your media player, it can only be still images, JPEGs PNG, those kind of files.

If you had some of the other eight many that have basically bigger you, know more professional features and they have more memory, then you could actually load in article files and then you could even basically trigger to trigger those. So, let’s see if you wanted to have a background, but there’s not a still background behind you, but I kept moving article. You can do that now. You can also do that with data mini.

If you actually got one of the Blackmagic hypertech’s. If you did that, then you will have the options here and you will actually see it, but right now, as you can see, it says it’s and there’s no Hypertech detected, but that’s where you have these these features and then that would act actually as your as Basically, another media player, so you would have more than one media player and then those could actually be again stole graphics or article that plays or loops over and over, and you can control that then using up here again I don’t have the hypertext, so I don’t Have that functionality and by the way, that’s also how you could enable to have for some poll like, let’s see an animated, lower thirds graphic right, because right now, I can only have these little bumpers in there, but they’re still images so by attaching a Hypertech and Then loading in, let’s see a little article, clip that’s looped with an alpha in it.

You could then put that over your article and it would be you know, actually moving in all that stuff. So anyways, that’s that’s one of the other things that you’ll be able to do. If you get the Hypertech and then when you have when you go to output here, you can do the thing you have the different options which are as you’ll notice. This one is, is basically not enabled, because you would have to example, install the Blackmagic Design desktop article.

Then you can actually record that or if you got the Blackmagic 18 Mini Pro the new one that has the recording capability than in here and the output. You would actually have a recording tab, you’re going to actually go in there. You could, you know, adjust your recording settings all that stuff and you could trigger the recording on and after and now another thing you’ll notice here is, for example, you have this thing called capture still.

What is this? Well, that’s actually, for you can capture, let’s see something that’s happening here, and we know that basically, that’s what you’re happening right there going as a article source 3 or a 10 mini. So, let’s see in this case, when I look at the camera, I’m going to give a big cheesy smile and I’m going to click their capture still now, when I go to my media you’ll notice in my ear capture, basically six or my you know my fourth.

Basically, your window, that’s what I have there. So if I put this now, I can be, for example, now talking, but I can always cut to a still, which is just going to be that still of me smiling as you cannotice. So so those are the kind of things that you can do so again. That’s that’s how we and one of the ways of loading kind of these extra images in there and that’s by by going to the output and capturing one of the stills and then time code generator.

That’s actually was something really cool that is enabled with the latest kind of the firmware, with a TM mini and also, if you upgrade your Blackmagic cameras now this camera I’m using as day or so many pearls, so that doesn’t work to with it bad. It’s simply because I you know this doesn’t accept USB and SD a connections. I actually have an adapter that changes the SDI out to HDMI, but if you have like in here, I have two of the Blackmagic pocket cameras.

I have a 6k and the 4k camera they’re connecting via the HDMI, so they’re, sending the HDMI signal to date and mini well, at the same time to eight in many sense, basic article signal back to the camera. So I can actually is a get the timecode gem both of these cameras, so they are servos. Let’s just shooting on these two Blackmagic pocket cameras. I could actually have identical timecode on both of them.

That’s perfectly synced and that’s really cool, because then I can be recording on both cameras and – and you know, let’s say doing my life switching here or just maybe just recording on them and then later on. I can then in my editing, software go in there and I can tweak it and I can basically, you know, do my edit all over again and I’ll. Actually, you know, let’s see, load in my RAW files, but I can also sync those two or three or four cameras, depending how many you have connected perfectly because again, they’re they’re all jammed to the same time code.

So that’s a really cool feature of the fact that it’s that time code generator is built in and now I said the next year page is the media page, which I kind of showed you guys you load in your graphics, and you can hear how do your Page, so this is where you’re going to be doing all of your kind of audio settings, so in here you’ll notice that I have again three cameras. So my a camera is there so many Pro and actually no.

This is a packet for key camera, and this is just a audio. That’s basically coming off of the camera, so it’s never a good idea, but if I wanted to, I could enable it so turn that on so I’m going to turn that audio and turn off here. My audio. Thank you for me. The good camera probably sound like a 6 K and again, probably or in this case, I’m going to enable the idea from my Ursa mini Pro, because it has that you know XLR microphone here connected.

But that’s how you can kind of do this and again I showed you before you can also do that here by switching their their. You know, turning on and off to different audio inputs now gifts would you can also adjust the volume. So let’s say right now: my camera 3 I’m going to be adjusting. Let’s say I want to adjust my the volume up here, so you can see right now. It’s set of 0 DB, but I can go up and I can do that by clicking here or I can go down by again by clicking it on the ATM mini.

And if you want to have really fine-tune kind of control, then you can do it by doing this slider here I can adjust the idea basically levels of up here. Oh yeah, you got, for example, you can do your panning and left and right, so you can go from one blog to the thing right now. You see that it’s, even though it’s one microphone. Obviously, it’s outputting to both left and right blogs, but just the left blog right now or the right blog, and this is basically how it sounds.

So I can do that all that painting all that kind of stuff. I can also go here. Actually, that’s actually some kind of something really cool you can you have like these things? There are also built in into the DaVinci Resolve article editing software, but you can enable up here, like I’d, see different bands and you can adjust. You know the EQ, you know and again it will do all these things and it will process your audio in real time.

You cannot be now load in here so right now actually, and we turn this off, you can load input dynamics. You can have a compressor, and things like that again, I’m not going to be playing around with this right now, because this is basically the same stuff that you would do in a day that makes you resolve so pretty much all the same settings, but the cool Thing is they can do it here in real time, while you’re streaming, you can adjust all of that and adjust all your different audios settings, and then obviously you have your main here here.

Basically, the volume and other stuff for the input, so those are kind of cool things, and I also like it because it’s like, I said it’s like an advanced kind of a thing you you can adjust a headphone level like all kinds of stuff like this, which In this case, you see it’s grayed out why? Because the 8m mini doesn’t have headphone output, so in my case, for example, I would be listening to my headphone out out of my monitor here, because that one does have the headphone out.

So if you wanted to monitor audio, you could do it that way and then the last tab here, which is really cool and again. This is something that now is enabled with because of the the latest update for the ATM mini, but also for the pocket. Cameras is that you can now control these cameras. So let’s say if I were to switch to, let’s see this camera. Is you notice right now it’s less. He focused on this, but if I wanted to and then you’ll notice that when I switch there, it actually shows me even like which camera do now, I’m in camera 2 going back to camera 1.

It shows me which camera that I’m on you know at that. Given moment – and it here gives me four different for the functionality so here on, the bottom is your focus control, so I could try some for even like. Let’s see if I wanted to focus on my hand, I can whatever is going to be in the center. If I click this, as you get out of focus, you know it’s going to do that really bad job of focusing. But if you let’s see if this camera was not life and somebody was operating, they could click that just to make sure that the camera is going to be in focus before you switch right.

But let’s see right now, it’s you know, focus here on my hand, but let’s say I want to focus back to the ATM mini here, so I can do that by actually rocking this thing. So I can pull the focus as you can see, and it’s very accurate. Actually, I can go as you can see here. Back to my hand, the focus and here back to the ATM, mini or Gow, maybe even here to the keyboards and then back to the ATM mini, and I’m doing this just by sliding here, the focusing you can also adjust here.

You can adjust your hair iris and see I’m stepping it down. You can also adjust your zoom if that sound University work. If you had a lens that has a power zoom. In this case I don’t have one, but if you had that, then you can zoom in and out. So it’s really cool because again, whoever is doing your live article. Switching and all that stuff can also control your cameras. At the same time, all for example, you can also have one person, let’s say doing a article switching while another person can operate all the different cameras just using the ATM software here.

So it’s really cool. Now, aside from doing obviously they’re like adjusting the exposure, you have here your DB, so that’s basically going to be your your your eyes. So basically, so you can adjust your eyes so so you can make it a lot brighter and all that stuff. So I can switch here, you’ll notice, that it’s going brighter darker here. If I go back down so I can adjust that I can adjust here my shutter speed or shutter yeah and this case started speed.

I don’t know why they didn’t do it shutter angle, because I prefer that one anyway shot her speech. I can adjust it all right. Now I’m going to go to one sixtieth and and then you can gently adjust your your temperature, you Calvin, but another thing you can do is you can actually adjust here if you pull this to just adjust your your iris and then your your here overall here Gamma, so I can kind of make it washed out a lot of stuff in this case I want to here I’m going to reset this we set out and then here you can adjust your overall color.

So, let’s see if I want to take that article source make it kind of bluish or at a green tint or whatever. I can do that just by moving this wheel and again I know I know what you’re thinking looks horrible, but again probably you wouldn’t be doing it’s. These crazy adjustments you’re going to go in there kind of tweak. Let’s see if you have different cameras and they also look slightly different, maybe or because of the lighting or something you can kind of match them just so easily using these tools, the cool thing is that you can also expand it.

So then, it kind of hides the other things and you all have here basically then more advanced controls, which is which these are basically controls that you would have again and DiMucci resolve. So I can adjust like if I wanted to do. I don’t know about teal and orange. Let’s see, look, I can quickly add a little bit of this kind of a teal kind of blue in the shadows, a little bit there in the gamma, which is the mid-tones.

Let’s say like that: an and the gain a de leave and a little bit of this yellow look and I’d say you know I like this kind of a look right I created and you can adjust the contrast, and you know things like that, the the hue, I can adjust it what else you know saturation, all that stuff, so I’d say want to make it very saturated. Oh maybe, let’s see like slightly less saturate, it see somewhere there.

So you can adjust all these things and now what you can do also is you can go in here. You can go copy and I can go now. Let’s say to one of my other camera. So let’s say I switch to this camera here to the side, which is the pocket 6k well you’ll notice, that if I go back to this angle you know the colors completely don’t match. But let’s say I like the color grid that I did there so now I can go and apply actually that same color grid from the other camera to here by again going here expanding this and I can go and paste and once I do that, you’ll notice That now my package 6k has the same.

Look as the packet 4k. So has that same kind of color treatment that I did with that one and then you know, if you wanted to, you, can still go in and tweak it further and all that stuff. So that’s the kind of cool thing and then again, even with the pocket six key. By the way I know some people were wondering online. Can you adjust the Canon lenses? It depends on the Canon lens right, obviously or the canon EF mount lens.

If you have a lens that that, let’s see doesn’t, have you know again, it doesn’t have power zoom but doesn’t have you know, let’s say out of focus capability, then you wouldn’t be able to adjust a lot of the things, but you can still adjust. For example, there the iris – I can open it up close it, you can resume the Calvin all that stuff and yes, you can also adjust the focus, so I can make you go in and out of focus so right now it’s a pretty wide angle so, and I think there should be good so I’ll, just kind of leave it there and yeah.

That’s some of the really cool stuff that I think again. I I thought it’s worthwhile, showing you guys yeah, basically what you get by just using the ATM mini, like you see up here over by actually using the ATM software control. You have all these other functionalities that you wouldn’t otherwise get with, with just eight and mini. So definitely sometimes it’s, I think it would convenient for you to hook up I’ll connect this to laptop, and I think most cases you probably are going to be doing this because you’re probably going to be using this for live streaming or maybe recording the life signal To your laptop and then you know and then like I said this way, you can do that, but you can also, while sending the article signal, you can also control the different things, including control, the different cameras that are connected at the two year, 18 minutes, which Is really really really cool now there are a few things that I found out after I did to update it with the cameras and the ATM, meaning that I’m not so happy about, and that’s basically the fact that now, because the cameras are recognized as kind of These life switching cameras, it basically takes the a two mini-dates control over them and it changes a lot of the settings in your cameras and you cannot change them basically, so you cannot record in some of the settings that you might want to record.

So, for example, the first thing is, you know, while you’re doing real life switching, you can be recording on your different cameras, but keep in mind that at that point all the cameras are only going to be able to record in RAW all the other functionalities. Basically, turn off, so that’s kind of one thing that sax next thing is that it switches to 60 frames per second, because that’s what I hate, em mini kind of operates, and so 16 frames or frames per second and the pocket.

4K is not so bad because you, you know the camera basically can still go and record in 60 frames per second in 4k, and I can record all these other formats and different resolutions on the packet 6k, though the second you switch to 4k or 60 frames Per second, basically you’re, you don’t have to keep ability to shoot in full or record the full 6k, because the camera is not able to record 6k at 60 frames per second.

So I don’t know why they did that, because I would still want to be able to, let’s say, record the the real six key signals of I want to do again. I want to maybe do some life switching but same time. Have the older original footage from the cameras, so I can do an alternate edit later on. It would be nice to have the full six key signal, not only that, but if it switches it to only twelve the other.

I think resolutions are just three action, including the anamorphic, but on otherwise only two other resolutions, which are 17 by 9 aspect ratio, and that’s why I know you guys saw, but when I was switching all the different angles or let’s save our to switch right now. You’ll notice that it’s the top and bottom has these little black bars and that’s because again it’s it’s said: 17 by 9, you know aspect ratio, that’s that really sucks, and I can’t change that.

Why? Because the camera, basically the only way you can shoot in and basically 1080 or raise a 16 by 9 aspect ratio is if I were to shoot in full 6k, basically resolution. I can’t switch to that and I can’t even switch to the 1080p like it. Just won’t, let me do it, so that’s the kind of things that I wish that that they had they are not limited, so they would still allow me to switch like let’s say if I wanted to you know, do I do a livestream or record to all These different cameras and even record to an external recorder, but do it on 24 frames per second.

It would be nice to have that option to be able to switch that and if, unless you guys, finally figured out a way of to do it, because I have not found these settings anywhere and I looked everywhere then, but if you have found it, maybe I’m Missing something that let me know, but I’m guessing, because it’s like a just a few know the latest update they released, I’m guessing hopefully and they’ll, be listening to people like me.

Complaining about this and they’ll they’ll enable those kind of basically more control over that, because it would be nice for me to have these cameras. You know all connected to my 8m mini so that I can switch and I can like even sometimes, if I’m just doing like, let’s say a multicam recording and I’m not necessarily streaming or anything like that. But I just it’s nice to have the 8 a mini. Then, to kind of be able to like quickly switch – and I can see on the monitor here – how I look on one camera – the second camera another camera, but unfortunately I won’t be able to use that now, because the second I connected, like I said to the 8 and mini it’s going to go switcher to run only 60 frames per second and what stuff, and that really then limits that the cameras.

So so that’s that’s one thing that I’m kind of disappointed now. Another thing is, with the many pro you have the functionality to hit recording like I said record, you know there but records to another like it like a USB Drive or something, but you can also trigger all the cameras they have connected so that they, you know, You can basically start and stop them using this. Well, you can’t do that with ATM mini, basically the regular one, and I don’t know why, because they could have just added that functionality.

I know that differently. Reg is graded out, but I wish they would add that because I would be like a small little thing that you know like here in the switcher. If I could just go to the output and in there you know and like they actually added a little record. Setting basically menu that you get when you connect the ATM mini Pro. If it is, they actually did that then they’ll be great, because then I could actually go in here and you know basically trigger all my cameras and record all of my cameras.

At the same time, so that would be a nice functionality which again does not exist. So those are the sounds that my two little complaints or or wishes help the somebody Blackmagic listens, but otherwise have a lot of cool things coming with these new updates. Now you know again and just overall cool tools that black magic has created where there’s these are some different cameras, including the article switcher, and things like that.

So if you guys are looking for something like that, as always follow the links in the description you’ll help me out by by using those so when you’re, making any purchases and at the same time, if you guys want any other information or you want to see Some of my other posts and things like that, as always you’ll, find all of that and a lot more on my website at um at those films like um, and it’s also where you can subscribe to my newsletter.

My One Bushcraft Knife… CRK Pacific Review

So now I’m going to do my review and overall thoughts about this knife, so, let’s jump into it.

This is a pretty big claim to say I’m only using this knife, I will say the primary reason I am choosing to go that way or why I’m not running a whole bunch of different other knives from bush crafting or survival practice is because I truly want To get good with one knife – and my thing is: I’ve – just had it up to here off the screen with just having a whole bunch of different survival, knives that I’m never using and there’s a whole bunch of excellent once it certainly doesn’t have to be the One for you, but this is the one that I chose, and there are a few other reasons aside from me, just being fed up with the knife industry on why I chose this one.

So now, let’s get into those so starting off with this knife. One of the primary reasons why I was attracted to this knife and my original thoughts for getting this knife was that I wanted to work more on island survival being close to water and working with the water, more hand in hand and imma be rolling in pictures Showing you guys what I’m talking about, and so when I sat down and thought about what knife I need a for working so close to the water.

I wanted a knife that had a really good stainless steel. So it’s not only a good steel generally all around, but it’s also very rust resistant. This is a knife that I could get wet and not really fear the steel rusting, and so that is the primary reason. The s35vn is what led me to this knife next, to that, it’s also the world nests of this knife. When I did choose my one and only survival knife, I wanted to make sure, and it was a knife that was not going to break.

I wasn’t going to give me issues as far as the thinness of the blade, so that was my next consideration or thought really was that one of saying robust now this knife is close to 1/4 inch thick and definitely fits the criteria of being robust. So, lastly, I wanted a knife that also had great ergonomics, because the last thing I will say if your are choosing and one knife to be your bushcraft knife going forward, it does need to feel comfortable in the hand and it needs to feel natural and that It really is this knife, and I have to say as far as the ergonomics go, it not only feels natural, but the way this micarta was done.

It was not only left for broth, but it was also left textured. So there’s a whole bunch of essentially little protrusions in the scale that grip it to your skin, not in an uncomfortable way, but in a really positive way. So the night feels very comfortable in hand, but it also walks up into your hand very well and I’ve always enjoyed since day one I’ve enjoyed the hell out of these grips, and I really do love the grips on this thing, they’re absolute when for me, so Basically, those were my three qualifications: it had to be waterproof or very water resistant and a rust resistant and very keen was working in water environments.

It had to be robust and it still had to be very comfortable, and so that’s what landed me on the Chris Reeve knives specific and also I have had in the past emailing. Some of you guys know you know I’ve had Sebenza before so this isn’t my first Chris Reeves knife knife and I’ve always been very impressed with the quality and with the warranty on these knives. It’s just a really great brand. It came with a few issues of you know these different these different, these different guards kind of got in the way, but overall I was still able to find it a very easy time choking up on the knife, doing more fine tasks also due to the heavy Haft of this knife because, like I said it is a reasonably thick knife, it also did chopping very well, and I’ve always been impressed with the ability of this knife to just go right through material and just clean cleanly swipe right through material.

I think another thing that helps with that is the fact that this is a very finely ground edge and you guys can see it has a nice long grind to it and then a great battle. It’s very polished edge. It is extremely sharp, so it’s weight and it’s grind in bevel have helped it sail through materials like nobody’s business. It’s also not to mention a very good knife for beat awning, because it has been very great in the water.

Obviously, this this gun coat in my son. I do find interesting that this knife doesn’t have just some. You know like spray-paint coat. It does have a gun coat on it. I believe the gun coat is similar to a seracote. It has been extremely durable. There’s only a few places where the coating has minorly loved off, primarily on this, where the grind starts, and that is not too uncommon to see on. Basically, any knife you put Todd with because that’s where the most friction is put on when you put on with a knife, so it’s not to be unexpected, but the coating is very durable.

The rust resistance, as I seen it and listen. I have gotten this knife wet and I’ve actually crossed rivers with this knife and like in its sheath on my hip, and you know, leave like waters come up into the sheath. You know Gea here, and so the knife has definitely got wet in the sheath. Is the knife that I’ve unapologetically lat get very dirty, very wet and giving it a lot of opportunity to get all nasty and ugly and rusty, but the s35vn has performed very well.

The attention to is to be expected with CPM s35vn or really good. It’s definitely leaving really nothing because, like I was saying the performance of this knife in forced environments, which I certainly have taken it into the forest, a bushcraft is pretty much on par with something like a fall can even a one like. I said, though, the primary reason why I stress this as an island survival knife or as a water survival knife or you know, one that’s going to be in the water – is because the CPM s35vn, unlike vg-10 or the vg-10 laminate, that Faulkner even uses this definitely Output for so vastly before we finish up the review, I also will say the on the sheath I’ll give some notes on it.

I do really love this sheet. It is a very modular sheath. As that you guys have seen in the past. I easily connect my own condor, I pouch to this right up here, but this is a very modular pouch. It has Mali attachment running up the front. It has some webbing attachment areas in the back. The belt loop is really nice. I will say it has a double velcro, so essentially you set your belt in here, and this conforms to your belt.

So if you’re running an inch wide belt, this will walk around that belt. If you’re running an inch and a half to inch about whatever the this will conform to that, and actually we walk your belt in place, which is really nice because on other sheets that don’t have a similar system, I kind of get a sloppy sheath that when It’s on your side or attached to your belt. This sheath will kind of wobble like this, whereas with this and it closes around your belt, it locks your belt in so there’s no wobble, and then you get an extra secure meant like that, and it makes for a really tight securing belt.

So I do like that, and it does come with some extra cordage, of course, is a paracord, but I’ve just left it on here, because it came with it in whatever other than that. It does have a really nice and very secure button closure and just like on some other high-end knives. I have reviewed in the past, primarily, I think, actually just the pull force. Prepper one also have this, but the interior of the sheath or in here isn’t just plastic that rattles and bangs and makes all kinds of noise.

It does actually have a layer of felt in there to keep the knife quiet and keep it from just banging around. In there and being an obnoxious plastic piece of crap, so the sheath places the button fits very tightly. You can see that there is no play in this of a lot of Cheaper sheaths. You’ll see you know, the knife will come out and sometimes even expose a bit of the blade with this there’s. Absolutely none of that this is the most the knife gives and snap is really strong.

This doesn’t just pop on or off. It takes a really purposeful, pull and depend on it’s also very purposeful. So really do like this sheath, it’s actually one of the best stock, sheaths I’ve ever gone and just out of box it’s one of those sheaths that, aside from throwing on a thigh strap, I didn’t want to do absolutely anything to this sheath. I really suggested you guys take a look at this knife because it is definitely interesting and it’s one of the more uncommon choices out there, but I think, is really capable, especially for the money.

It’s a nice survival knife. I really have no complaints about it. Anyways guys, that’s all for now, god bless and come out.

Knives and daggers are awesome! Plain and simple, right? Let me say, I enjoy my dagger collection with a little music playing in the background.

My TOP 5 Neck Knives For Bushcraft

Let’s get started really saying this list is in no specific order than price point and to give you guys, quick rundown of these dives in case you’re, unfamiliar with any of them. This is, of course, the more a companion visiting Morra eldress. This is the S III. This is the LT right Camp muck, and this is the BRK bushcrafter, and these are my top five and I’m going to get into why I these five made it onto this list, probably know or have seen from this blog.

I have a lot of neck knives and I’ve used a lot of neck knives and so who really does take quite a special knife to actually make it onto this list, because I have many to choose from, but the more companion. The reason why this is one of the first on my list is because this was actually the first neck knife. I ever ran this one specifically in the first neck knife I ever ran alongside the Mora companion.

These were the first third, more companion, slash clipper were the first two neck knives for me to ever run and I ran them for around a year and a half, and I really liked them as far as performance goes. They are very good. The price point is incredibly hard to beat on them. Overall, this knife just was such an impressive knife and, like I was saying you know, I ran it for a long time, so I really understand how to use this knife and I think, for a good starting neck knife.

This one is extremely hard to beat. I really think the only thing that could really beat this as a starter. Neck knife is its newer brother, the L dress and the L dress. Once I got it, I was kind of one of the last people as far as youtuber viewers to go to actually get one, but now that I’ve got it, it is fastly becoming one of my favorite neck knives. Ever I mean really, as I see the more L dress, it’s like a every day man’s se as Azula.

You know it has a large handle, obviously for these mittens, it’s a little bit hard to show, but it actually can fit pretty well, even with very large men, unlike I have here today, but overall, as far as being a very small night list set around the Size of an ST masuleh, this knife is really really good and once again it keeps that characteristic property of more knives, and that is a very good value and a reasonably low.

When I was saying, I really love the moral dress and it is, in my opinion, really the only Mora that could really beat the companion as far as being a very compact, very lightweight, but still quite strong neck knife and one of the largest upgrades I see With Elle dress is not only that is a lighter weight than the companion, but they’ve actually sharpened the spine from factory on the L dress. So it actually throws me crazy, so I really have been in super impressed by it.

I think any of you guys have readed my a lot of my survival kit. Articles you’ll know that the L dress is pretty much the knife of choice for me, and it is that for that reason that it’s extremely small, extremely light yet extremely capable. So, though that is the companion’ /l dress, I really do love the companion once again, if you’re getting in neck knives – and you really want to get a good knife knife to begin with, you know: oftentimes a lot of neck knives are more expensive.

Like these. All three of these are over $ 100, so Neth knives can be more expensive thing to get into, but if you want really affordable ones, definitely turn to Mora. So number three is the S III. Ironically, that is not tying that way. It’s just how it worked out, it’s just a coincidence, but I really love the S III. This is actually one of my favorites of this entire batch just for the fact that I think it’s really good for bushcraft, but it’s also really good defensive, Neff knife and the reason why – and I’ve talked about this – I believe in the review – is because it’s an Ultra ultra slim night, I mean yes see the thickness on this I mean this is the thinnest as far as overall thickness like throughout the entire knife.

This is the thinnest knife. Here I mean you can see with all these other knives the handles they kind of swell out, and that is a little bit of a problem with long term use of the ac3. But when you carry this knife, it is super flat super low-profile. It does not. Stick out at all, so it makes it a really good defensive option, as well as a pretty capable field blade, and so this is how to make my list just for the fact that it, if it’s dualism it also in my opinion, is one of the most Perfect sizes for a neck knife – I know these smaller neck knives are great, but at the same time I do like personally just a little bit of a larger knife, and so that’s where the S III lines right off with me, and so I really like this One and if you do shop around normally these things are a little over $ 100, so normally like around 104 to $ 100 on Amazon, but I actually shopped around and found a killer deal on this one.

I got this one for like $ 70, so you can find good deals on se. Threes. You just really have to read out. You know, go to a lot of knife shops in particular. I got this one from knives ship free when they were doing like a blowout sale or this one I like, sell a whole bunch of excess stuff, so they were discounting it heavily. So I really liked this one. I was able to get it like. I said for a really good deal and this one’s a little bit of special one just for accelerations, it’s a green and Brent blaze orange as well as it’s a modified tang.

So I really like this one. I’ve been very impressed with it and, like I said what I like most about this knife, is that dual factor that not only can you carry this in a bushcrafting situation and still a very capable knife. But if you want a knife that also duels as your everyday carry neck knife or a defensive purpose, this is a very good choice. I want to a little bit more of an unusual one, I’d say in the LT right lineup.

This is probably one of their least talked about or more rare knives, and this is the LT right can’t muck. Now this is actually one and I’ll be doing the forward wellness and a bed, but this is actually one that came over from the. What is it long blind horse knife days and this one was the camp muck by blind horse knives, but of course, black horse knives no longer exists, but LT right took this design on and once again I think they killed it and additionally, a super capable camp Knife, it’s extremely good.

I’ve dressed several game animals, it’s extremely good at dressing game animals, it’s pretty good at doing just regular camp tasks. This is an a2 tool steel, so the edge retention is pretty good. Once again, it’s right around the same size as the SE. Through you can kind of see, you know it’s, it’s actually a little smaller than the S III and so fits right in there right in my kind of loved size range.

So I really like where this fall as far as the size range goes. It’s not too big, it’s not too small and one thing it’s a very unusual knife. It’s really awesome. I love that nest neck design. It’s not a design, you see very frequently anymore, but it’s still extremely capable and if you ever use an S, mukhda zine you’ll really love it. So that is the LT right can’t muck. This one, like I said, is an a2 tool.

Steel with black and blue g10 that is contoured, so I really love this setup. These are pretty tough to find like I was saying they are rare for a reason. I contacted LT right and they only make these every once in a long while in small batches. So if you want one of these, they’re really tricky to find, but just google them, you can likely find a company. Once again, one of my favorite places to get knives is nice ship free, not trying to do an ad for them, but I found both of the SE and this LT right there they only had this is the last one they had in stock, though so yeah.

These are pretty tricky to find that’s kind of my only hesitancy of making a review with them is. They are quite tricky to find and they’re not made very frequent. You probably one of my favorite. I guess you could say math knives. I’ve carried this or I carried this. This is decommissioned both of the companion and this one on our decommissioned. In case, you guys are wondering why you don’t see necklaces on them.

They long abundantly absolute favorites, but for a very long time it was one of my most favorite bushcraft knives. I guess a whole just an entirety of bushcrafting. It still is an extremely hard to beat night. If you really want to see the standard of what a bushcraft knife should be it pretty much is the bark of a nice bushcrafter, I’m not just trying to say that, because it’s an expensive knife, but overall the complete design on this and the way it’s laid Out the wave, the exit is just extremely good.

I have game animals with this knife, everything from grouse to squirrels, to hares every every really my shot, every type of animal except large, large game animals. I’ve dressed with this. It is an extremely capable knife, not just in stress in game animals, though it is also very good. At carving netting needles, try sticks really. This was a knife that I had to separate myself with, and so when I do a lot of like how-to articles, I don’t like to do it with this knife, just because I use this night so much I mean it is like my general purpose fix all Knife look: I just need a knife to do something.

I am 99 % sure this knife will do it and it’s made out of the excellent CPM 3v steel. It is an incredible steel. This 3 v it just goes forever. It’s an absolute trooper of a steel. It is a sharpened spine or at least a 90-degree spine, so it throws fair odds, marks very well. The handle’having. Now more experience I did when I first got this knife with handles. I will say, at least in the beginning of this, handle it’s a little too slender me, but still even now, it is pretty good.

Another thing I like about this knife as far as neck knives go. You can see that even with these gigantic mittens on – and these are a very large men in case you guys don’t know – these are not tiny little mittens, but even with these very large mittens on I solve a complete hold. None of my fingers are falling off. Even you know, with the mittens on the mitten is not falling off the back or really the front.

You know I can still fully use this knife, because this handle is quite large. This is, I think, the largest neck knife I have here, and this is probably honestly the largest size for neck knife. I would ever recommend but overall, like I said, if you’re looking for a standard of measure for a bushcraft or really not nice, this is it. I do think if you were to go with this knife, it’s really hard to go wrong with it.

It is expensive, I’m not going to lie it’s around 230 dollars, if not more, because some of the handle options, but it is 5 knives or neck knives for bushcraft. In particular, I could go into a defensive role like or everyday carry where I’m carrying neck knives for defensive or in a defensive role, and certainly it would change up a little bit. There would be other knives in this mix, but this one’s more specifically talking about outdoors knives and, like I said over my experience of years and bushcraft, would have been some of my favorite neck knives.

Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed that. Don’t forget to comment like share subscribe and tell me what your thoughts are. What are you guys’s, 5 top neck knives, or do you guys even carry neck knives? I’m not sure not. Everyone carries neck knives, but I certainly do and really love it. If you guys don’t carry neck knives seriously, think about it, anyways guys! That’s all! For now and I’m out you you

Benchmade 550 Griptilian Review and Use

Please do not forget to comment like share and subscribe if you want to see more awesome, Alaskan content like that right into this review. This is actually the first benchmade night I ever got and it’s been a pretty awesome.

Benchmade I’ve carried it for quite a few years. I don’t really religiously carry it anymore, as there are other options and, of course, being an EDC care reviewer. I try and keep more knives running through the rotation, but this knife kind of is special because it is my first bunch mate and I ever thought, and so that’s why I’ve kind of kept it around and the other reason I’ve kept around is because it is Still, even though it has hateful serrations on it, it still is a pretty capable knife overall, especially in an everyday, carry setting, and so once again does, unfortunately have serrations, but back when I was first getting this knife.

If I was kind of one of those kids at that time, I really liked the whole black blades and serrations, and all that kind of fancy stuff that really it was kind of a trend of being cool. But the trend didn’t really last because practically plain edges just end up being better overall, so yeah. That is, but it’s basically why this one has serrations on it and, as you guys will notice, I tried my hardest.

It still was a little bit hard, but as I was processing up that pizza box of an awesome pizza company, I was trying to actually split some of the testing between just the straightedge in just the serrations. It is a little bit hard because this blade is not the longest blade, and so it can be a little bit difficult when you’re trying to kind of slice through something to just keep it on just the serrations or just the blade.

And I also did a little bit of intermixed, so you know if you’re just a straight slash right through that cardboard, you’d first catch the serrations and then the plain edge, so there’s going to be a little bit of. But I wanted to kind of show you guys what it looked like with just the plain edge and what it looked like with just the serrations. I will say I think the serrations had a bit of an easier time with part of the cardboard.

I think they might be a little bit better and of breaking up the cardboard fiber kind of just going right through it. So partially serrated blades aren’t entirely bad, but they definitely are not my favorite. They do have some batter applications such as fibrous materials like cardboard and especially ropes. Serrations tend to go through a lot faster, but at the same time they can be a little bit harder to maintain and overall, I think they kind of just don’t look that good.

Anyways, so my overall experience with this knife has been, for the most part, really good. I’ve really enjoyed this knife and there’s a reason other than this. Just being my first bench made why this knife has stuck around with me for the past, like five or six years, bunch mates, really it’s just an overall great knife. Now I currently have this one on a lanyard, because I don’t really like the benchmade clips, and so I thought I would just run this one on a lanyard.

I don’t run it that frequently that one I do occasionally run this knife. I kind of like to mix it up and just kind of throw it in the pocket and just kind of run it that way, because every once a while I do enjoy a lanyard knife instead of one that has a pocket clip on it. So that is how it’s running as far as retention or in the pocket carry as far as overall organ of expulsion, a far n handles there, nothing special it’s just like a plastic handle and you can definitely tell they kind of feel a little cheap.

But at the same time that that cheapness does pay off, because these knives are still pretty affordable for what you’re getting and so that the cheap material and the handles helps you to have a better blade material and a higher-quality knife at a lower price. So I really can’t complain about the material as far as the material does go. It has to to test the time and I’ve abused the knife quite a bit and accidentally like dropped this knife in the closed position.

Thank the Lord on things like stone and rock, and it has a few gashes in the handle to prove of that, but the handle hasn’t shattered or it hasn’t really cracked in any ways, though other than that the for the most part, the ergonomic still pretty squared Away this is not really a tactical knife, but it could be used in that way. You do have jumping back here for your thumb, and so it could. I will say I don’t know if the 550 having a kind of reverse sheet foot blade, is the best option for a tactical knife, because it’s not the absolute most pointy, because your tip is kind of downward sloping.

Certainly not like another knife. That’s similar like this. One and the primary reason why the nsync Oh grind is so much better at penetration is because Chris breeze has actually gone in and put cuts on the both of the top to both sides of the top of this tip and helped thin out the overall blade Material here and put a false edge on the top, so it kind of AIDS in penetration, so that I will say is why that downward sloping tip on the nsync.

Oh grind works so well, but this one obviously does not have that so other plate features that I do really enjoy are not the serrations cuz. I don’t really enjoyed those, but I do actually love the opening hole. I am a big fan of Spyderco knives. I wish I could have more of them, but right now only have one of them in the current collection, and even though I only have one, I still love all these Spyderco whole opening knives and including when benchmade put a spider hole hug their knives, regardless to How controversial that is or isn’t? I still really enjoy that? I really do like that, and I, like that, a lot more than 5:51.

I believe it is the one that just has the thumb studs, which is not bad. I have a few thumb stud bench maids. This one included and the 5d sexes – and so some studs are not the worst thing in the world, but I kind of like these whole openers more, but I do like the the whole overall. It also kind of lightens the blade stock a little bit more and as far as the 5d justify 50 goes, I do like the blade shape a little bit more.

This one is in a black. I forget the coating that they use for this, but, as you guys can see, this one has been heavily used in a bit abused on the tip and it definitely has a bit of a we’re on this coating. But for the most part, this coating is a pretty tough black coating and it’s not too tacky. I know some people don’t like st coatings, because they’re really tacky and this one just like any coating – does have a bit of tackiness to it.

But for the most part it is overall pretty smooth and, like I said within reason, pretty durable – I mean most of this tip kind of we’re here has happened when I actually stabbed this knife into some tin cans. This was really early on and I stabbed this knife into some tin cans to like make a Hobo, stove air or a couple Hostos actually, and that’s what actually primarily wore off this coating was that contact with the tin can on this steel, just kind of tough To clothing right off, so that’s a pretty and good abuse to take the coating off.

So I’m not too surprised to cody wore off when doing that, and then on the back of this, I also induced this knife quite a bit for striking feral rods, because it does have a pretty sharp back on it. So the back of this knife is actually the coating is pretty beat up because I’ll use it a lot to strike Ferro rods. As far as the lock goes, this is, of course, an axis lock and I love axis locks. If you guys haven’t noticed, I have or have had a lot of bench maids in the collection, and that is on purpose.

I do really love benchmade axis locks in particular, so overall I really loved their axis. Lock, it’s a fun lock to use. I really have a knife that smooth without a bit of side to side place so like these types of knives will have. You know just a little bit of side-to-side play, but that’s that’s because they’re so smooth or if I said over all up and down play is absolutely nothing and very solid lockup for six years and I do go in and I kind of clean this one every Once in a while, when there’s kind of dirt built up on the actual axis lost, because acting kind of at times hinder your lock up, but that’s about all, I do, for it blade centering for anyone who cares this one’s actually pretty well centered.

Now, on to the actual blade, as far as it goes and at retention, this is, of course a 154cm version, so this isn’t anything special. I know they’ve made some like s30v CPM, 20v blades and higher-end Steel’s for the grip, Tilian and I’m sure those work just like CPM, s30v, normally works or just how CPM 20v normally works in itself, but the 154cm on this works pretty well. I did get one off knife of a bench made barrage that I still have, which was my second bench made – that I think they over heat treated, because that one is really hard to put an edge on.

But I have a few, a CPM or not CPM but 154cm from bench made and they overall they don’t hold an edge forever, but they do sharpen up pretty fast and pretty easily this one included and it holds an edge for at least an amount of time. It’s not the most amazing steel, but it’s definitely better than something like 440 C or even vg10. In my opinion, and so edge retention is pretty good in that regard, the overall blade on this.

I think I would have enjoyed a lot more had it been a plain edge and I do actually really like the 550 in-plane edge. This serration version. A serrated version is not the worst in the world. It definitely in an EDC. Type of format does perform pretty. Okay, like you, can see how well the serrations weren’t able to chew through, like cardboard once again, rope things like paper. It kind of struggles with because there’s just so many angles of contact with a serrated blade that it can cause the paper or thinner material.

So you’re trying to cut to kind of like crinkle instead of just slicing right to brew it other than that. Like I said, I really don’t have any complaints, I find the blade length to be just fine for most EDC tasks. Personally, I’ve always been more a fan of these kinds of more wider and larger blades, so like with this 940 here you can see how kind of like pencil then this 940 is and some people they love just having like a really thin blade, but I tend To like knives that are more like that they’re Tilian here and more like this Sebenza that have more kind of width to them to just overall, they seem like larger, more well-built nice.

It’s not does it. This is not a well-built knife. I’m sure this is but this overall kind of gives more of a just feel like you’re, actually holding more of a knife, and I kind of like that in a knife personally and that’s more aesthetics, so anyways, that’s basically all I have to say on the bench Made 550 grip Tilian with this awesome, lanyard mod that I did to it and that’s basically all I have to say on it.

As always, god bless and I’m not

Our Complete Everyday Carry Knife Collection Part 1… Gear Banter Ep.2

I would take you guys over just the entire collection of all. We have four different pocket knives and also neck knives. Slash this isn’t really a neck knife, but it’s a folding belt knife, so these over here we’ll be getting into in the second half of this article.

But these are the first half of the article, and these are all the pocket clip knives so and as a pocket clip on it is going to be the knives we’re going to be going over and we’re going to be starting off with the lowest valued knives. Over here and in this first rope here is all the lower valued knives and then all the higher valued knives are on this upper row here. So that’s how we’re going to be taking a look at, and hopefully you guys enjoy, taking a look at all of these awesome knives and you guys can get some ideas to add to your knife collection and we’re going to be giving also a commentary of what We think about each of these knives, both of us because, like I said this is our joint collection, even though I technically got everything but technically it is also her collection, as well as mine, anyways, guys, don’t forget to comment like share and subscribe for more this Alaskan awesomeness so anyways guys I’ve got cuffs punch myself to fit into this hole.

I kind of seen, but we’re going to be starting off with this. This is actually an Ozark Trail and this knife, I’m sure received I did not buy, but I know that people like cutlery lover, have done several articles on these knives and they’re, not actually the worst knives out there, especially for being under three dollars. They work pretty. Well and their overall okay knives, but it actually is in my collection, it’s just one of those knives.

That’s often forgotten in the collection, because it’s like I have this and then I have a whole bunch of really expensive knives. So it’s kind of like, and do I really want to carry this? No, because I have like some awesome knives that I would rather carry and take up pocket space cuz. I only have so much pocket space I can afford to use. So generally, they end up with high rent knives, but overall it’s a good knife.

It’s a really good knife for beginners and people who just kind of want to get a knife a knife. This is definitely not a bad one. It has an adequate amount of grip for people who aren’t knife nuts. They won’t really know that you know tip down, carries kind of lame and not really liked in this industry, but the blade centering on this is actually really good and the overall function so long as you don’t use the flip or the flippers really anemic.

If you use the thumb studs, it fires right, improper, but overall, I like it as a good beginner knife. What are your thoughts? My thoughts is that I, like that, it’s lightweight he is right about the flippers like, as you can see it’s just the flipper itself is clumsy. You got ta flick it, but the thumb studs do pretty good, but anyways. I feel like this would be a really good knife for just a younger kid or a low-budget person who just needed a decent knife and, as he said, it’s very cost efficient.

I really don’t know much about this knife, as I was only introduced to it like the other day but like he said he doesn’t carry it much, but I mean I think, for the most part of year she carry them, they’re, really good user knives and what I like about them too, is they’re really great knives to take. If you have a high probability or if you’re one of those people that likes an episode likes but ends up, losing a lot of knives is also a great knife for you, because it’s one of those knives that, if you lose it you’re only out like $ 2.

97, so it’s really cheap and easily replaceable, but that is the Ozark Trail. This is, I forget what this is my thing: they called it like. Those are Trail, flipper knife, something like that and it’s just a very basic name, early generic, but nothing too special anyways. I don’t really have anything in like the twenty dollar region, except this more eldress, that’s about the only twenty dollar knife.

I have the only thing that I really like the next cheapest step up is actually this Boger Kalashnikov and this things around like 50 bucks. I think they are around anywhere from 40 to 50 bucks, depending on which type you get there’s what they make a whole bunch of these different things, but this is a full size over Kalashnikov course. This isn’t Auto and overall I have not had this knife for a super long time, but I’ve really been curious about the kalashnikovs for quite some time and for the most part I like and putting it up against the afk which I’ll get to in a little Bit but anyways, so you know putting it up against the afk as far as fire speed goes they’re, both very hard firing, really nice, not as as far as auto action goes.

Of course, these are both afk and this one are both autos so check with legalities. Before going and purchasing an auto but for the most part, they’re really good knives and this Kalashnikov is pretty good granted. It is an us 8 steel. So I’ll say it’s not the worst thing in the world, but it could be better but yeah for the most part. If this, if I got this knife, I actually got it in a trade, but if I were to buy it, I definitely would not be disappointed.

My thoughts were surprised for such a compared to the afk such a low-end knife, how fast and how hard it actually did fire we put them up against each other this morning and we’re firing them just to see. You know which one came out: first, which and fired the hardest and they’re actually pretty evenly matched so for people. Looking for a low-end, lower, lower end automatic knife. This is actually pretty decent.

I noticed right away when he pulled it out of the box yesterday that it was definitely cheaper. It’s like like the handle grips and everything are not like not like as high-end or as nice. It’s like something on a Spyderco or a bench made ecology, but – and I mean even the steel. If you look at the steel, I mean it’s a little lackluster and it’s it is an Aussie. So it’s under the best in that retention plan overall, the fit and finish I mean it’s definitely a $ 50 knife and it’s a $ 50 on a knife.

So what I mean by that is, when you get an automatic knife, there has to be more to this than in a little flipper like this, there’s actually Springs and the locking mechanism is more complicated. The only other thing I’m kind of slightly concerned about is this pocket clip and because I like it, except for the fact that the metal is like really really flimsy and kind of bendy. I wonder if maybe over time it might Bend out real easily.

But I mean he’s if it bends out easily that it might be easy to fix, but that’s just the only concern I really have, but I guess only times to tell me for me personally I mean I don’t think the retention. Having a lot of experience. I don’t think the retention too bad, I will say as far as bending goes, it could definitely Bend because of its lane. This weakest point is like right up here. This is a very long clip.

If you see even this, Reata has a pretty long clip, but it’s not quite as long as this broker clash d’etat, so it could technically bend, but only time will tell on that anyways. It is a pretty solid knife, but I do like it for me. My pregame expectations before I got the knife were handled it at all. I was expecting to be cheaper than it actually was. I was expecting the firing to not be as good as it is, but this thing actually kicks out pretty good.

So our next knife here is the little tiny spider code dragonfly, and this is a pretty awesome knife for her. I actually really liked the dragonfly for years and years and years and years and years, but now that we actually have one. I have to say I’m glad she likes it, because I really don’t enjoy this knife as much as I thought I would it’s the reason. Why is it’s just too small for me really, I like to have a knife.

That’s kind of like this bench made 5d6 that I mean this for me, is about as small as I’ll go. You can see. I still have just a little bit of room hanging off, whereas with this dragonfly this is it like you’re choked up – and I mean I’m just suffocating the blade – and it’s really small, it’s great for fine, delicate tasks and stuff like that. But I really don’t like the dragonfly, I mean it’s a good quality knife, but for me it just doesn’t fit the bell, so I’m glad that she really enjoyed it because I actually do not like the dragon finds much as you can see.

It doesn’t really give me that issue as much I mean I can hold it back here. If I want – or I can hold it up here on the chipping, the Chim thing. If I want – and you know, I’ve really enjoyed this little knife – it’s it like. You said it’s really good for delicate work. It’s really good. It’s really really sharp. I was surprised for such a little knife. How sharp it is. It’s wicked, sharp, great it slicing and it is really great a slicing, very clean slicing.

I often carry one other all-purpose knife with this knife. This is just for smaller things. I wouldn’t want to use it for bigger, all-purpose tasks, but for a little tiny, itty-bitty things I always go to the Dragonfly and I’m really pleased with it. It was probably the best Christmas gift I’ve ever had they also. I also like that, it’s so lightweight, but it’s also like for being lightweight and so small.

It’s also really sturdy, there’s absolutely no play and whatsoever, and it is I mean it’s lightweight, because it’s small, but I mean you can tell it’s it’s good quality because it has a little bit of heft to it and I’m also really pleased with the pocket clip. I haven’t had any issues with the pocket clip at all yeah, that’s good, why your pocket clips from Spyder go! So do I – and I will say I will give it some credit to for being so small, this bi-directional patterning patterning that they have on these and Endura delica.

All those is a really great pattern. It’s really grippy so now onto the Centofanti by Spyderco, and this is another one, that’s newer for me, and this is another knife that I’ve kind of looked at for a long time and thought about getting. But honestly, this little Spyderco logo. Here is what honestly drove me away from this knife for a really long time, so I thought it was gaudy and it was really stupid.

I was like why Spyderco why I mean I would actually like the lines of this handle just fine if they would remove this Spyderco logo, but either way. Once again, this is another knife I got in trade, so I’m not complaining. I I definitely had the option to get this knife. This is one that I chose for sure and I do, for the most part, really enjoy it oops, but for the most part I actually really like it.

It’s a very, very lightweight knife, and it has a just about as thin blade stock as the Dragonfly. So what that leads to is a really really thin slice iikind of knife, and it does a really good job. Of course, it uses the same vg-10 as made in sake City, Japan, just like the dragonfly in the Endura and the matriarch and all those knives. So it’s really nice quality, even though it does not have screws in it.

Unlike these other two knives here, it has just fine lockup and everything really does not need to be tuned. So sometimes people freak out when there’s not you know screws in their knives like this or like this. People want screws, so they can take it apart. But for the most part realistically, we’re not really taking these knives apart. So I’m not that concerned about the pin together construction as some people might be, but for the most part this is definitely more of an elegant knife.

You can see that this is basically the inter handles, so this is basically an enduro looks like the most part, so it looks more like a user type of knife. This is more of like your high-end kind of or not as a high-end, but there’s more of your elegant knife or if you want a gentleman’s carry this would definitely fit that role and I think you’re really capable knife. That’s thin slice II. It could even go into a little bit of defensive, because this tip here does have a non destroy sharpened, but definitely false edge or kind of swedge on it that definitely helps penetration.

We only got this knife day before yesterday. I think it’s fairly new. I haven’t really gotten a lot of experience with it, but I do look forward to using it more in the future. I’m liking the chipping here right here. You know I mean there’s not a whole lot of grip on the handle like there is on these, but it’s not horribly bad. I mean it fits pretty comfortable, but it’s like I’m glad. I have this.

You know but anyways. I really liked how it looked when I first saw it us like it’s very elegant. It’s very gentle man, although the funny part is for pound for pound. This is almost as heavy, if not heavier than this, which I find kind of flares, but this is definitely just an elegant, thin knife and honestly, I don’t mind the Spyderco. Maybe it’s because I’m a girl – and I don’t care if it looks gaudy, because it really does not look that it doesn’t.

Look that bad. It just looks like in comparison to this and or a handle and like I like this kind of low profile. It’s not really a guy’s name. I got you a ton of that. It’s just like shiny silver. Looking and you know, but anyway, I like this knife and I thought it was cool to add another Spyderco to the collection and, if you solved probably, but you haven’t over here – someone’s close fighters, ironically also in arachnophobia in real life.

But seriously, though, this is not a really, this is not a bad knife and I wouldn’t mind carrying it. I’m going to carry it more. Like I mentioned with the Dragonfly, I like to have another all-purpose knife on hand, and I might try this for a while and see how it goes and I’ll keep you guys updated, but I’m pretty excited about using definitely reviews to come on all of these knives. That have not been reviewed.

None of these knifes here have been reviewed reviews to come on all of these – probably not this one, but now that one’s been reviewed and reira viewed and featured over well, I guess not a lot of overviews, never really any reviews, but anyways now to the Spyderco Matriarch and this matriarch to with wave feature, of course, lots of wetness on this thing, but anywho. So this is the matriarch, and this there’s not a whole lot to talk about.

This is really more of a defensive option than it is a knife, but really ashley is more to Santa cuz. I have not really carried this thing or messed around with it too much because really been her light. I carry it constantly and he hardly gets any time in edgewise because well, that’s because that’s really you need it more than me, because I can’t gotten some more, but not not recently, all maybe a little bit but not in days to come.

Anyways guys. I really am pleased with the matriarch, like I’ve said multiple times before and like he just touched on now. I do not use this for any all-purpose work. This is strictly for defense, but I’m really glad I have it. I’m continually impressed with the different ways I found. I can carry it the different ways. I can find activate the wave feature and snap it out really quick and bring up to slash and everything.

It’s like it’s just a one-time deal kind of knife. It’s like that! Commercial – and I don’t remember what company it is, but it’s like we hope you never need you, but we’re there. If you do, you know this is that kind of a knife, but I just am continually impressed with just how beautiful and savage it is, but also how effective it is, and I on one hand, I’m kind of curious to test it out. But, on the other hand, I really don’t want to go that route anyways guys.

That’s really all I can say about the matriarch, because it’s holding up like a champ and I’m really really pleased to have it. It’s a real, really great knife. It has a lot of the same awesome ergonomic features that sound like the dragonfly house, with the bi-directional patterning patterning and overall it will not slip onto your grip. I don’t that’s a really nice thing. That’s a good thing so now on to possibly one of my most loved knives on the table, or at least it was just kind of being replaced a little bit, but this is the benchmade 56 and this has been a really daily workhorse.

For me. For many years it’s only recently kind of been just a little phased out. Obviously we have a huge rotation here, so we we try and rotate everything in, but the most parts not getting as much pocket time, but it’s a really great awesome, just small folder. Once again, this is about as small as I like to go, but when I want a small folder, that’s super capable, because the blade length or the blade to handle ratio is really good.

On this knife. Benchmade took advantage of having a lot of blade to handle on this, and so that makes it a really small knife. We had a really really capable knife and not saying that I just love every time I use this knife. It feels like it’s actually a larger knife than it really is because the capabilities of the blade, the way it penetrates into things and just slices open boxes and all that awesome stuff.

I do want to note that I have modded it, of course, to have a deep, carry clip and I got another one, because this knife has a deep carry clip, and now this one has to have a deep carry clip, because I swear the deep carry clips. If you guys don’t already know they’re like a necessity on all bench maids, so if you want definitely ask benchmade because they’ll hook you up with them, but that is the only thing I’ve done.

It’s really. I love that deep character because it buries the knife and composite. I lovingly nicknamed this knife, the survival kit nice, because when I was first introduced to it, he had it in either one survival kit or another anyways. I’ve used it a little tiny bit, not a whole lot, but I’m pretty pleased with it. I mean I like the dragonfly a little bit better, but it’s a pretty good knife. I like benchmade as well.

I do recommend the deep carry clip a good all-purpose. It really is it’s. It’s coral, that’s all! I got to say about that. Ok, so now I’m moving on to the full size grip. This is actually my first bench made in my oldest bench made and I really love this thing. This is the zero fighter that 0:50. This is the 550 by benchmade and its really awesome knife. Of course, this one is just rock no lanyard for just a different style of carry.

It doesn’t really have it has a pocket clip, but it’s not on this knife, but this one. I don’t carry to it too much anymore, because it’s just a real beat-up Knight this one and the one I’m about to show are like my beater knives are kind higher-end beater knives. So I take it out for what you will, but these are knives that see a lot of use and they’re moderately expensive both of these that one more expensive than this one, but they’re really just good all-around workhorses.

And if, once again I wanted knife that is reliable and I know I can thump on or I know I can really put it into a serious situation – it’s not going to because that’s kind of like this knife right here. It’s like, I don’t know how much it can take. It’s a nice knife to go for for a beater, but it also may fail on you, whereas these two knives are really solid and I know they’re not going to fail on me so anyways don’t have a whole lot to say um.

This is just a really awesome workhorse. Of course, I got this one when I was new to knives and thought blackened. Serrations were really cool. Now I’ve kind of changed, as you guys can see, with like straight edge straight edge, straight edge straight edge. Even this is a straight edge. Everything tends to be a straight edge nowadays, except a handful of knives. This one, this one and this one are the only serrated ones I believe on this table, but overall, it’s a really great workhorse from what I’ve been told.

It seems like this knife is held up pretty well, because I mean he’s been carrying it for a lot of years. I don’t have really an experience with this knife, except for just messing with it a little bit in the house or whatever, but it reminds me honestly when I saw the black blade in the serrations. It was like an automatic you because I had a Gerber and it was the worst knife I ever had and it was blacked out with the serrations, and I saw this and I’m like ill, no way bro what the heck.

What what is this? What is this dratted, but honestly, benchmade and Gerber back then? I didn’t know the difference which is astronomical. I didn’t know that benchmade is such an amazing brand and that Gerber is just well trashed, so anyways guys. I think I got ta say this is the most unique knife on the table because of its blacked-out blade and serrations, and because of its lanyard and setup a clip and because, if it’s green handle, but it’s it’s a pretty cool knife.

I’ve I’m, like I said: I’ve never really used it, except just playing with it a little bit, but as soon as that gets held up pretty well and, like you said it’s a beater, it’s the true beater with the heater. Possibly this is probably the most beat knife on the table. This one I still really liked, and it’s a pretty awesome knife for those who don’t know this shape. This is obviously a micro tech, SOCOM Elite.

This is an old, it’s very beat-up, it’s very, very beat-up, but it’s a 2006 micro tech, SOCOM Elite, obviously a manual action. They do make some of these in auto, but this is a manual action d2 blade, and this is basically my high-end feeder, because I know this one’s not going to fail. It’s been around forever, like this thing’s been around eleven years now, and it just works really. Well, obviously, serrations on it – and this is a chisel grind blade that has a lot of its coating missing and all of its coating missing on this hikes.

It’s been resharpen a handful of times, as you guys definitely see, but it’s a tanto as well as actually, I think, the only tanto on the table unless you count like this. They kind of say that this is a modified can tell. But aside from that, if you count like this is the only true tanto blade on the table, but it’s a really awesome knife even is in its beat form. The grip on this and ergonomics are still really superb.

It’s an excellent knife for being a liner-lock and yeah. It’s just a really great workhorse knife. Now, the only thing I really don’t like about this knife is just like this one. It is a tip down. Carry I really don’t like tip down carry knives. It’s just. I mean you guys can see the pattern on this table. This is this one. In this one are legitimately the only two tip down carry knives on the table.

So all of my experience and real preference comes from tip up carry, so it kind of feels weird when I first saw this knife. The first thing that popped in my mind was like Matthew. You need to ask the guy how many people have you killed with this thing, because we were, we were supposing all kinds of cool stuff like? Oh, maybe it was an Iraq deployment knife and it very well may have been, but the person we bought it from didn’t, use it much so whoever he got it from probably did what I like the most is little handy-dandy glass breaking carbide tipped glass breaker.

This is a micro tech and micro Tech’s like to have glass breakers on their knives, but both of those are carbide temptin, but we’ll get to this one in a little bit, it’s a little bit of a different life anyways guys. This thing is pretty cool. To look at it, it’s it’s really really beat-up I mean I noticed from the picture and i’m still new to my gear. Even I noticed it’s like holy mackerel. It is missing steel, it has been sharpen and resharpen and research really the age of this thing in its a low production numbered Microtech, so call my lead, keep on to call it ultra tech, but to SOCOM elite manual action from 2006.

I was like this thing’s awesome, even those really beat to hack, I kind of wanted a high-end beat to hack night and make no mistake some of you guys out there who are like, oh, that thing’s, probably worth like $ 0. This thing is still worth quite a bit because micro, tech, so calm elites are average around three to four hundred dollars, something this old is like. I mean this was no longer foreigner dodging so beat up, but these things are still very expensive names.

I think before before we wrap this up. The only other thing I don’t like about this thing. Besides the tip up carry is the locking mechanism. Actually, the liner actually hurts your thumb. If you can coil back, if you do it a lot, it will kind of hurt. Your lock is actually will dig into your thumb a little bit over time that kind of rubs it a little raw other than that so life. You don’t play with it too much, so it doesn’t have a lot of play factor in that way, but other than that – and I will say just a quick final note on this – the the lockup is still perfect, there’s absolutely no up down or left/right claimant.

In that lock system, so that’s a real testament to an 11 year old micro tech. That’s been through hell. Thank you guys, it’s at least been through something either that are really crazy. Abusive night knife beating oh no gone like it’s gone through abuse until micro tech. You guys make some really awesome knives that can take just insane abuse and that’s a line. I lost not known known for being strong, so this one is my now manual brush, so this girl carried this for all summer.

She got it wet inside and these spring. So in case you guys don’t know the barrage, it’s generally a spring assist knife, and so the spring in there got rusted out. So when I took some wd-40 to clean out the pivot and make it better because it was running real slow. If you guys noticed in some of the later articles of this being featured, it was running real, slow and it just was not kicking out because a general benchmade spring assist or auto should kick out like that.

He should kick out with all Martin Stern wants and this thing was anemic, and so I took some WD for you, try and clean it up, make it better get some of the gunk out of there and it actually broke the string broke. So I think I’m going to be returning this one to benchmade for a replacement on that also, here’s the springs are stripped. That’s why it couldn’t open it to clean it off ya, wan na screws, aside, krishna and so anyways for now.

For the moment being this will probably return to being a spring assist, but for now it’s actually I’m you know give fairness. This is a very, very smooth, very, very smooth manual folder, but this is a manual bench made barage. So going back to this knife, I really like it. I didn’t carry it much, oh and now it’s locking up, but that’s the only other issue. That’s the flaw this but anyways. I didn’t really carry this knife a whole lot for too long.

I can get it to deploy again. I didn’t really carry it a whole lot. It was a good knife, but I didn’t really really really love it. The ergonomics are just fine, its overall, a really good utility knife, but I don’t know I just ended up liking. My other knives that I would get in just not really carrying this one. I also after a time really dislike to the spring, assist, because I think the spring it made a harder to put it away.

That is true. I did find that it’s actually easier to handle. Now that’s a manual. This was my high end. Beater, you know anyways, yes, I did especially, maybe that’s why I thought the Gerber was such trash too, and it fell apart easily because I was just really hard on knives. I didn’t really know how to take care of them as well. So I am afraid I kind of screwed this knife up and it’s all my fault, but whatever it’s like I’ve learned my lesson, but it’s still a good utility knife.

It’s not the most. Pretty it’s not the most functional as you can, as you saw. It definitely locks up now, but it will probably when it was a spring assist. It was easier to deploy, but it was harder to put away. I don’t know it just needs, it just needs some a little TLC, but it’s still a really good beater. So I enjoyed carrying it for all the time that I did carry it yeah. I also didn’t like the fact that this screw on this side stripped out and it seems like the blade, is over heat treated, so those didn’t really like it.

What makes you say it was over heat-treated it’s harder than has to actually sharpen it, and I have a handful of 154cm blades on this table like this one, this one, this one, there’s probably there’s another one here, that’s 154cm. I think, but if not else then – and I so I have some like comparisons of sharpening things and this one is substantially harder – the shock that these other ones, I’ve necessarily sharpened.

So if I have sharpened these both of these before and this one’s substantially harder to shards, it’s pretty good though it does, but it is harder to sharpen that is anyways forget stropping. I tried so now on to one of my other really favourite knives and a favorite of most people on this EDC planet is the Spyderco paramilitary 2, and this is an awesome knife. I loved it. I got it, of course, because everyone seemed to be ranting and raving on like it should not try this thing out, and it is a really great Spyderco.

This was my first Spyderco and what really led me to loving spider codes, because it’s just such a well put together knife, I loved the interesting lock. I loved everything about it. The s30v blade holds an edge really well, and overall, it’s just a great night. It’s it does everything you wanted to do how you want it to do. For the most part, I will see the only problem – and this is just a running theme with all spider codes is the tips are just very thin and very delicate.

So you don’t want to do any prying or hard work with the tips, because they will always snap, especially in these powder metal Steel’s, because these powdered metals are really really they’re, really really Steph. They don’t like to bend, but I really love the knife. It’s it’s great knife and it finds its way into my pocket more than other knives, so more than other knives. Actually, honestly, that is true.

I kind of traded up the benchmade ROG and I was going for the cĂ©vennes and I carried the spends for a while, but next thing I knew I was carrying the paramilitary 2 and I’m actually really pleased with the primarily military two. I saw the difference immediately between this and the barrage. It was a lot easier to handle for me and it was easier to do everyday tasks with it and cut with even sharpen and strop it and number things I’m going to be running the Centofanti for a while, but I’ll probably end up coming back to this Puppy right here, if he doesn’t want to commandeer it, probably one of my favorite worker knives.

Honestly I’ve grown really attached to it. So you can see I can make my Spyderco, but this is like an exceptional. This is this is the best of all of them. I must say, and I’ve been happy with it – just been a really good knife and I was a little bit against it at first, like I said I don’t like the blacked-out blades, but that’s pure cosmetics. It has nothing to do with the actual awesomeness. This one’s.

Actually pretty unique because at the DLC finish, so the black blade doesn’t just wear off it doesn’t and there’s no serrations, I mean if there have been serrations on it. I would’ve been like you yeah, I’m not going to use it. Just like this poor thing right here, okay, so that’s the p.M. Now on to the Reata event horizon, which is this knife. Now we were discussing another article that this thing’s a little bit hard to deploy when it gets cold, because this thing’s all metal.

But this is the UV aught a event horizon, and this is another pretty new addition. Overall, I really like anyways guys, like I was saying if I were to it’s just not my knife of choice. If I were to go for an automatic I’d, go for this one instead because it’s lighter and it has a cleaner blade, even if it is cheaper, but as you guys as I’m going to demonstrate in a moment these both fire about the same so so anyways Guys, that’s that’s that button locks and everything, but yeah um, I’m just really not I’m just really not um a huge fan of the yeah afk.

But that’s that’s! That’s not that’s just me style. So now on to my personal favorite. This is kind of like a grill knife. For me, too, this was the night that I really really wanted for a very long time and it’s once again all these auto knives they really freak they get frigid. You guys can see that on that first deploy it actually failed to go fully into action. It is sluggish right now, cuz this thing is ice, cold and once again, the grease and oils that go into these autos to make them fire.

So fast are the same things that I’m not killing them in the cold, but this is a micro, tech, ultra tech, and this is a try grip one. I really wanted to try grip because I actually one of those weirdos I’d like to try grip but um, not everyone does apparently, but I really liked this knife and it’s just been a grill knife for me. I really wanted an ultra tech for a very long time and I was able to get one.

I was like awesome, so this is a micro tech, ultratech, tri grip, I’d like to try grab more and it’s no TF as well. So this is also my first OTF. I really want ot F she’s, probably going to try and tell you a story about a avenge made infidel put this thing down because other than there’s just being a really great everyday carry knife. I mean this is one of those knives that it has to be a second kind of cool for you, and I told him I was like I swear if this ends up in your leg, I’m grounding you from that.

Wrapping you in bubble wrap and it’s going to be mine and you’re, never touching it out the front ever again. It’s so far, he’s been very good about not putting it in his leg, going on anyways, that’s the story and it’s a little humiliating, but I think even the best need to fall down a little bit. But I don’t I don’t I’m not a huge fan of the outs of fronts. I mean I think, they’re cool and all, but it’s like they really are not functional enough.

For my taste, I mean besides having a glass breaking and that’s kind of legit. I would really like – and I have to had one of those but the beater but anyways guys. I think it’s cool and I’m glad that he’s really happy with it and I’ll keep you updated. If it suddenly disappears from the face of the earth. It’s because he did something stupid with it, but in fairness, he’s not the only one to have done that the lady at the counter was saying people put them up to their palms, and oh man, anyways guys that stay out the friends.

Don’t worry yeah so now onto another one of my favorite, these top three, no, like it’s probably pretty obvious, but these tops are obviously some of my really really favorites like I love most of these as well, but the next one is the most expensive area spensive. These are all like $ 300 knives buy. This is zt0 552 CF and it’s a big nice. This is actually the largest excluding these knives. This is actually that one too it’s larger than that one.

This is a very big knife, but this is the zt0 52 and carbon fiber and it is an awesome, fantastic flipper. It is just really really smooth flipper, really awesome knife. I really like it. I also one of my things that I wanted was a carbon fiber knife or a knife that had at least a little bit of carbon fiber on it in this one, of course, has a full carbon fiber scale on it, so that makes it really lightweight, but It also has that carbon fiber touch that I really like, because personally I really like carbon fiber, and so my hands are getting so close.

I can’t really do in like so anyways. This is a really awesome. Knife has a full titanium and then a full carbon fiber handle scales on it and, of course, once again s35vn on the blade and just a really really big knife. It’s like tactical, awesome, really love this thing. I’ve been carrying, it haven’t, had a super long time, but it’s another night. I’ve been carrying pretty regularly pretty religiously.

This is actually our newest knife and I thought it was cool I actually when when he was able to get us like yeah, let’s do it. So you guys know we kind of like carbon fiber. I if I were to carry a big knife, because it is so it’s it’s kind of lightweight it’s not as chunky as like the Reata or the egg. I mean for a being a such a huge knife. It is actually light weight and it’s slender. So if I were to carry a bigger knife, it would probably be this one and I actually I’m really impressed with this knife.

I mean it’s what I thought it was beautiful over the pictures. I saw it’s even better in person. I am really excited to get more experience with this knife, and I know he is too as like. It is brand spanking new. We just did we just get it in yesterday yesterday, so brand-new, but anyways guys. This is. This. Is a nice little knife, I’m really excited to get more accustomed to it, and I know he is too and before you guys asked it’s not actually back cold outside.

It’s just we’ve been out here for quite a while filming so our hands, one of them handling these knives. Plus we’ve been doing this for 30 plus minutes, and these are oddities our metal or metal. So it is getting cold. So we’re going to wrap this up here pretty soon now to the classic, really expensive high-end knife, and that is the Chris Reeve knife Sebenza large, the bends at 21. This is, of course, full titanium, just kind of like this one and yeah.

It’s been a really great night. This is one of the knives I’ve had for a very very long time. I think around three years now and overall for the past three years, it’s been a fantastic performer. The only thing – and I have to talk to Chris Reeves about this – that I don’t like is the titanium tip clip bent out a little bit. So it’s retention is a little bit lost and I don’t really know do it’s a titanium clip.

I know what these steel ones you just like, put them in a vise and you bend them back. I don’t necessarily wan na do that to this one cuz, I don’t know how that won’t. Work might do the same thing but anyways. This is a really awesome night, I’m putting it down because it’s once again very cold, just like all these others, and just a really great knife, though, be careful cuz. I know the only thing that was what I was going to say.

The only thing I dislike about this is that the frame lock does not have an overt stop, which means it could be bent out and extended. That would not be good while they’re. In that I mean I haven’t carried it a whole lot, but I carried it a little bit and I really like it. I, like the blade, shape I like how it cuts it’s it’s hefty, I’m not going to deny it, but it’s it’s not that it’s not as have you this one.

I also think it’s funny it’s idaho made, which is where I just was, but this is a a really good knife and from what I know it’s it’s pretty decent. So who do you think I’m just kidding? It’s actually awesome. It’s not! Actually. You do really love that knife quite a bit now once again, because it’s such an older knife. For me, I have a lot of experience so when it comes to these knives – and I don’t have as much experience on a little bit more eager to choose these kinds of knives over that one, because I’ve had that one for years and years I want to Put some more use on these other knives anyways guys hold on hold on when I first met met, met Matthew.

He had this Night Man, so I kind of like this one, the best, maybe out of all of these, because when I see this knife I just remember when we first met, he was showing off all his knives and I was starting to really get out of The ignorant of knives – and you can shrug it off, but it’s important to me anyways. This is a pretty awesome knife and I think we’re going to do the buck in the next article yeah, because we need to wrap this up because it’s been running long.

We’re going to be doing a part two to this, explaining going over the folding sheath knife and then all the net knives, so those are not the pocket knives per se, so anyways guys. This is part 1 of this vlog collection article, but hope you guys have enjoyed it and as always, guys, god bless and we’re out.

TOPS I.C.E. Dagger Overview

You is extremely important even more now than after mentioned. There are a few other options and Before we jump into why I chose the ice dagger, I do want to just start off with the importance of having a self-defense tool and why. I think you guys should all have some sort of self-defense tool, even if it isn’t the ice tower in particular.

Now there are many different options I actually have a few. Another notable option is the matriarch by Spyderco matriarch by Spyderco is another great option for how a self-defense tool, but overall you should try to have at all times some type of tool tool on you for self-defense, because this hack can happen at any time. And it’s nice to give yourself an advantage of having even just a small little knife like these.

Now I’ve talked about why I choose knives in the past. I still fully love knives and I take a knife over a gun every day because of the fact that guns, while they are superior to knives in most instances, a gun cannot go everywhere like one of these knives can so that’s the overall importance and why I Just urge you guys make sure you do have a self-defense tool, even if it isn’t the ice dagger go with something like a Spyderco matriarch, just something that you can use to protect yourself now now, let’s actually talk about why I chose the ice dagger now this Has been out for a hot minute: it’s not the newest coolest latest greatest kind of self-defense knife out there on the market, but I was immediately attracted to this knife just for the fact that I wanted something that was very tough, very durable and honestly were a Lot of people prefer something that just has a single blade on it.

I really do like the dagger for enhanced penetration and the fact that I cannot only cut with this knife, but I can also make a deep stabbing and penetrating wound with this knife, and so that’s what it was attractive to the ice dagger. Another reason why I prefer the ice dagger over something like a matriarch is, like, I said, the increased durability and I’m doing some up close shots. Pictures Roland fuller to this, but the ice dagger actually has a reinforced tip.

So the tip the actual, like tip part of this knife from about here forward, is full thickness and it actually retailers down to a point into an edge. So I like about this is there’s no worry about you going in stabbing something in the tip just snapping off on you. This is the type of knife that you can stab into a very hard object or even hit things like bone, and it’s not just going to break off, whereas a knife like this matriarch, which also Roland’s in pictures for you guys, is a very thin, extraordinarily thin.

At the tip and will actually break off very easily if it hits bow and if it hits thick muscle, it’s going to just snap right off, which may be an advantage. It may not. But what I like about this knife is from multiple aggressors, or just even for one likes, that having a very robust tip in a very robust overall build is nice now another thing I have enjoyed about the knife as I carried it and as you guys can See I’ve hard used it a little bit for y’all.

Is I, like the traction on the g10, tops an excellent job on that, especially in the ice pick or reverse grip. I didn’t feel, like my hand, was going to go anywhere. I will say it can be a little bit slick in gloves when you’re doing like a forward thrust. But then again, your thrusts in your anything. Going forward, like this motion kind of thing, isn’t going to have as much power as a reverse grip and what I like about the reverse flip, as you guys can see.

There’S a nice almost Karambit ask ring, so you can leap your thumb into this ring and then close your thumb down like this, and that gives you a lot of positive traction. So if you stab it into something, when you pull the knife back out, you could actually let go of the knife entirely and pull just because if your thumb is caught on that ring, it’s going to pull right back out of whatever it stabbed into so other Than that they have made a few really great cuts in the g10 to make it very aggressive, and it feels really great now.

Lastly, the other reason why I like this knife is, as I said, about the concealed ability. Now you can run this on your belt and that’s another great way of running it. I personally use the neck knife option and we’ll discuss it. The mod that I had to make with it, because you guys will notice the sheath is a little bit different looking, but we’ll discuss that in just a minute, but overall, with the fact that this has very flat thin g10 handles and the knife itself bolts thick Enough not to be weak, it’s also not a very thick knife in general, so it’s it’s very very thinly either was pressed up against your body, there’s no profiling at all with this knife because of the way it’s designed and how flat the sheath is, how flat The handles are, there’s no profiling and when it does sit under especially something like a coat like this you’re going to have no issues whatsoever.

Thank you. Moving on to the last part of this is the modification. Now I’m going to roll in a couple pictures of the bond I did, and I thought you had to do this with a few tops knives. While I do love tops Kydex, I will say their molds can at times be a little bit weak as far as retention goes, and I did find that this one found out the hard way that I was actually running up a flight of stairs and Boop.

The knife popped out and hit the ground. I was like never again on that, because this is a type of knife that you don’t really the public to see because when they see both of these edges and they kind of see the overall profile, it’s so scary. So what I did was, I just took a couple brass screws. I took put the sheath on my drill press punched, a couple holes just at two areas. Where that I could get some extra clamping power from the brass screws, like I said, I’ve done this before on other tops knives.

It’S really simple, and it’s so simple. You don’t even need nuts on the back, because the brass screws thread through the Kydex, so they’re going to hold up just fine. I wanted to make sure that the retention wasn’t too loose or too hard. I wanted it to hit that sweet spot, because when I got it, it was just a little bit too loose. Now it’s right in that sweet spot where it’s not so loose that it’s going to fall out under normal circumstances or slightly strenuous circumstances.

But at the same time, it’s going to have a nice pull and it’s going to be pretty easy to get out without having a wrench on your neck. So anyways, that’s all for the it’s kind of my overview and general thoughts of the ice dagger. It is a really awesome life and, if you’re looking for a really competent and heavy-duty self-defense option as far as knives go, I would very very much encourage you to take a look at least take a look at the ice stacker because, like I said, I think It’S a very smart design, anyways, I’m out
