What is Bounce Rate in Google Analytics

Based off of our research, we found the definition of “Bounce Rate” to be the percentage of visitors to a particular website who navigate away from the site after viewing only one page.

Now why is bounce rate so important?

In my eyes, I see bounce rate as an indicator of how well your website is put together and the quality level of users that are visiting your website. Basically, If your average bounce rate is 85% this means that 85% of visitors to your site are not going any farther than that first page that they were directed to.

So what does that mean for you?

Well there are two aspects that you should be looking at when you have a website that produces a 85% bounce rate. First, is this the rate you are looking for? For example, if you have a landing page and that is the only page you want your users to visit. Maybe it is a page with a subscription button, buy now button, or a web form to fill out. You would want a high bounce rate because you are not looking for your users to go anywhere else on your website. However, If it is to high and this is where the second aspect comes in. A really high bounce rate could indicate that you are not attracting the correct users, slow load time with your landing page, or your landing page is not designed correctly to take full advantage of the user’s visit.

In a nut shell, Bounce rate is a good metric to pay attention to. We shed more light on Bounce Rate in our latest YouTube video. “Tools & Tips – Episode 4 | What is Bounce Rate?”

As always we are growing and learning everyday. This is a great post for people to add their opinions about our video or bounce rate in the comment section below. We really enjoy this kind of stuff, so your comments are really appreciated.

The Four Benefits of Building a Facebook Business Profile

Facebook is the most populated social media platform to date. As its popularity grows and grows, it becomes an even more important tool for businesses. Bearing that in mind, here are the main benefits of Facebook for business:

Incredible Exposure

Perhaps the biggest benefit of a Facebook business profile is that your company now gets more exposure. Remember, Facebook is highly populated, with around one billion users on there, and millions of people using it every day. This means there’s the potential to expose your business to millions of people that haven’t heard of it before. As a result, you can expand your customer base by attracting new people to your company. It’s by far and away the easiest and most effective way of increasing brand exposure.

Find Your Target Audience

Not only does a Facebook business profile help you increase exposure and find new customers, but it also lets you find your target audience. Let’s be frank, the chances of every Facebook user finding your profile and following it are very slim. Instead, everyone that’s interested in your profile will be from your target audience. Why else would someone click on your business profile? The audience you attract will be the exact audience you want to attract. This is key for business, as it makes converting them into customers a whole lot easier.

Reduce Marketing Costs

The beauty of Facebook is that you can use it to market your business for free. Sure, there are ways you can pay for Facebook Ads, but a lot of your marketing efforts can be done without spending a penny. It’s totally free to signup and create a Facebook business profile. It’s free to post content and get people interested in your profile on this platform too. For small businesses with tiny marketing budgets, it’s such a cost-effective way of getting your company seen by as many people as possible.

Drive Traffic To Your Website

Every business should know that a website is the centerpiece of all their digital marketing efforts. Everything you do should be geared to getting people to visit your site. With a Facebook business profile, you have a platform to drive unprecedented levels of web traffic to your business website. It’s simply one of the best methods for increasing those numbers and improve your website statistics. Clever business owners will post links to their website or links to blog posts on their site that people can read via Facebook. Did you know that recent studies showed internet users are now finding websites via Facebook more than via search engines? This proves how effective it can be for increasing web traffic, which is great for your business.

There you have it, four benefits of a Facebook business profile. If your company is looking for a cheap and effective marketing method, then Facebook is a splendid idea. You won’t find another social media platform with as much reach as this one has. Give your business a far better online presence by creating a Facebook business profile today.

As always Allshouse Designs is here to help your business with a strong online Presence. Request a call back today!
