Business and Sustainable Development – Impact Film

But today the world faces enormous challenges that threaten to undo these games, including climate change and widening inequality. The sustainable development goals provide a roadmap for how to tackle our times most urgent issues by 2030.

The government’s can’t achieve them alone. Global goals need business and the business the sustainable development division was created to show the business. What we want to do with this commission was change the attitude of business to development, lift it out of the world of something we ought to do of corporate social responsibility of philanthropy and make it a business problem and opportunity.

A problem in the sense that unsolved the whole climate and opportunity for business in the world will will shrink as these problems rise in their seriousness and intensity, but solved through business engagement problems that offer literally a P & L. A bottom line an opportunity to make profit out of doing good, and, and so our challenge was to show that these development issues, far from being big, intractable black holes, can be broken down into extraordinarily profitable, dynamic business opportunities.

And that’s what we’ve done with this report. Blended finance is the marriage of philanthropic or public grant capital with traditional return, oriented capital and a mutually reinforcing structure that facilitates the financing of fun investable projects and the goal of the blended finance taskforce is to bring together stakeholders from the public and private sector together To overcome barriers to financing and to propose action already ends which would allow trillions of dollars of capital flows, to bridge the gaps in the SDGs and by accessing and blending these different pools of capital and creative ways.

I’m absolutely convinced that we can bridge the sometimes seemingly impossible financing needs that are required to meet the UN STG objectives. Well, the business and sustainable development commission was set up to do good. I mean business is part of society. It’s got to be a good ancestors got to leave a legacy, businesses being one of the greatest forces for good and history. We need to make sure we keep being met.

The company I work for Laerdal is creating a new master plan for our free zone. We’re going to be creating a circular economy based on the 17 SDGs that carries out high-value industrial projects, so we’re going to be doing some of the most challenging fabrication engineering activities in Nigeria, supporting the entire region, we’re going to be doing all of it in a Sustainable economic freezer, so the most important thing is that there is a generation that is coming after us, which we refer to loosely as the millennial generation, who are significantly more aware than we are of the importance of the sustainable developed, the need to protect society.

So the message that I’d like to give to that generation is, we are alert, we’re awake and as business leaders, we as a group of CEOs have created a framework whereby the world that they inherit will be a significantly better one than the one that we inherited And in turn, I think it’s extremely important for all of us to realize that this is no longer nice to do it’s a must do, and by doing so we will change the world for the better, as identified by the better business.

Better world report transforming the food and land use system presents one of the biggest opportunities to achieve the SDGs. In fact, today’s food system is not fit for purpose, and it is failing us environmentally as well as socially transforming food and land-use systems will take work from all the people who understand and shape those systems from scientists to policymakers, to consumers to business as well as Technology pioneers the new food and land use coalition set up by the business commission, aims to do exactly that by bringing together a coalition of over 30 organizations and I’m proud to chair this new initiative.

The business commission has some amazing women leaders involved and at some point we were talking about the SDGs and their leadership office agenda. We realized that actually the SDG agenda, as it is very commonly framed talks about women as being recipients of the sustainable development goals and empowered by the sustainable development goals, as opposed to necessarily taking a leadership role. We decided that the business commission should try and change the narrative, so women rising 2030 is really about encouraging women to stand up and lead for the sustainable development goals wherever they are well.

We’ve got 13 years to go, haven’t we and if we’ve only got 13 years, I’m a bit worried about how much we have to do in a short period of time, but it is gaining momentum and, as you gain momentum, these things tend to speed up. What do we need? We need alignment, we need far less talking a much more action. We need concrete plans and concrete goals and some of the especially the four key initiatives out of the business and sustainable development Commission.

They go some way to get in some concrete action plans, but there’s so much more to do. We still have time to save our planet. Let’s do it. Now. Water comes first in business and in life, a new social contract, the East ajiz, the Paris climate agreement act. Now business needs to look beyond our own operations to transform the entire value chain and to address the scale of the environmental and social challenges and places

Easiest Way to Earn Passive Income in 2019| Passive Income Online Tips and Idea

I talked about the stock market, personal finance, entrepreneurship, things like that. So here’s that kind of stuff here or not yet subscribed definitely consider subscribing but other than that getting into it. So, like I said I’ll, be talking about passive income and specifically I’ll be talking about what passive income actually is.

Some misconceptions about passive income, then how I make it and how you might be able to as well so one of the best investors of all time, the one of the goats Warren Buffett says: if you don’t make money, while you sleep, you will never become rich And I definitely definitely agree with this now, when I’m talking about passive income, I’m not talking about starting some, like amazon, FBA or some Shopify store, or some like that, I’m talking about actual passive income.

So looking at passive income in its purest forms – and I think there are a lot of different forms of passive income in different ways – it can be like associated with different incomes, but either way. The purest forms of passive income is just simply investing in the stock market in one way or the other or investing in real estate, so why? Those are the two purest forms of passive income? Well, if we look at what passive income actually means, it basically means putting X amount of money into something and then having that just simply generate you more money and that’s really what passive income in is at its purest form.

So, relating this to the stock market, you put X amount into the stock market, whether it’s an you know, it could be in stocks, individual stocks ETFs different kinds of funds, bonds, whatever it might be, and then having that money grow over time and maybe make you Make money through capital gains or through dividends, and then, when looking at real estate, it could be investing in REITs or literally investing in physical, real estate like apartments or houses.

Duplexes offices different things like that, then getting money again through capital gains dividends as well as perhaps some sort of rent. Now those are the two purest forms of passive income, and I think it is actually important to have you know one or both of those in your kind of like arsenal of income, because those of course are the, in my opinion, some of the best ways that You can make money over the long term and specifically I invest in the stock market.

I really do enjoy investing it’s really smart to do it. You know whatever age rap, it doesn’t really matter, but either way getting back to the passive income aspect of it. In order to actually make some sort of income that you could live off of or get you to quit your 9 to 5 or maybe get you to stop working a little bit less, you need a significant amount invested into the stock market and it would be Upwards of hundreds of thousands of dollars now I don’t think if you’re reading this article I’m going to have to assume – and I know I don’t myself – just simply – have hundreds of thousands of dollars lying around to invest and the stock market.

That’s why in 2019, I actually think there are some smarter ways to get passive income online and it’s kind of exactly what I’m doing right now. So, basically, I think the easiest way to create passive income online is basically to create a mini online business through a bunch of different ways, and it basically is what I’m doing right now. So I think the easiest way to actually create just overall income and even to start off of business, which I would consider somewhat passive in nature, because it’s not going to be your full-time job.

Just yet, it’s simply by creating contact online. Whether or not it’s through YouTube or Twitter or Instagram, it doesn’t really matter, but I think the smartest way by far to make an online business that could create passive income, for you is just simply by creating content online. Now, obviously, there’s a ton of different ways to create content, and I think personally, the smartest way to do it is actually to go.

Follow Gary v’s, like content structure, you could just Google like Gary Vee content. I think it’s like slide on slide shares or something like that. It’s this beautiful way to do it, but I’m not going to break down the entire thing, maybe in a different article, but either way. Basically, what you have to do is do exactly what I’m doing so, pretty much figure out something you enjoy talking about or writing about, or making pictures about doesn’t really matter.

They could be anything from the stock market. To you know, entrepreneurship, to astronomy, Harry Potter. You know NFL, it doesn’t really matter if you’re interested in it, there’s probably other people who are interested in it as well. The next thing you got to figure out is where how are you going to actually make this content online, so this is going to be through article audio picture, written form.

It doesn’t really matter now. Obviously, if you’re doing article, I think there’s some the easiest way to do is just simply through YouTube. It’s super easy to use. It’s convenient it’s free, then, if you’re using audio, I actually think a podcast is a great way to go as well, but this could be a little bit different if you’re, like an artist or something that obviously you need to use SoundCloud or some medium like that.

But I actually think podcasts are super easy. I personally use anchor for my own podcast, which I don’t post on as much as I should. But anchors are free to use one that pretty much allows you to post on every platform that you could possibly listen to a podcast on and then, if you’re going. Some sort of visual – that’s not article like perhaps if you’re trying to do some sort of pictures, of course, there’s always Instagram Pinterest.

I mean there’s literally so many social media networks out there that you probably use yourself. Well, you know Facebook, even you throw that in there as well, that you could post do, but I personally like YouTube and think it’s the best to start off on. If you are a beginner, but either way once you figure out how you’re actually going to produce that medium, of course, the next part you’re going to want to do is actually just simply start creating so a lot of people.

I know they asked me because I have like a reasonably: I have a pretty decent following on YouTube right now and on social media online in general, a lot of people asked me how I got my following and how I started: making money off youtube and honestly, The simplest way is just to simply start posting content, so when you actually start making content and actually start putting it out there, if you just go back and look at some of my earliest articles, my articles were really really bad and when I first started making Articles on YouTube is literally me just simply screen recording my phone.

It wasn’t even me sitting in front of a camera. So when you first start off posting your content, you know whether it’s on YouTube or not. It’s probably not going to get millions of views or likes or retweets, whatever it’s probably going to get none and probably the only people retweeting it’s going to be like your boyfriend or girlfriend or mom or dad. Whoever might you know you told what you’re doing, but either way you have to start off somewhere.

I think it is smart. Jesus simply start creating content, not necessarily worrying about if it’s the best thing ever, but just start getting it out, because your first article your first picture, your first podcast is going to be a whole lot worse than your hundreth one, and I could definitely agree with That, with more than ever and then speaking about actually how you start making money and actually start making income off of these, there are so many different ways.

Personally, how I make money from my youtube blog is one. The biggest revenue source for me is just simply through Google Ads. So that’s one thing that I really like about YouTube as well. Is that it kind of does a lot of monetization stuff for you. So when you I’d just simply upload articles and I’ve reached actual monetization requirements on YouTube, YouTube literally pays me just simply for uploading articles that are monetized and getting monetized views now, of course, not all websites and social media sites are like this, but there’s so many Different ways: another way to make money is through referral marketing.

So basically, I use m1 finance and acorns referral marketing links, so those links are in the description and when you sign up using those links and fund your account, you get either five or ten dollars, and then I also get five or ten dollars. When you do that as well and then similar to that, there’s also affiliate marketing, which I know a lot of people out there make a ton of money off of. But I personally don’t because it just doesn’t relate to my blog.

But I talk about as much but in the description to see as well there’s an Amazon affiliate link and basically, if you click that link and buy something on Amazon, I get a small commission from that. That’s usually under like four percent, and really I don’t make pretty much any money from that at all. I only make like 20 bucks a month off of that if I’m lucky, but obviously, if you’re making something that’s more product oriented if you’re reviewing or unboxing things, you probably make a whole lot more money off of that and, of course, you could also just simply Try to sell stuff, that’s associated with what you’re talking about which I actually think is like one of the easiest ways to make money.

So there’s a bunch of different things you could sell, you could sell physical products. So if you want to go out there and make a soccer Instagram page, maybe perhaps you can make a little site income off selling soccer, jerseys or soccer balls, and then you can also sell things that aren’t physical, like ebooks, like just literally selling your own work Online, so if you’re like an artist or something like that, then also you could sell things like courses and like free article chatting live streaming with you or something like that, and there’s youtubers out there in my field that make money from literally doing client calls with People like they’ll charge from 20 bucks for a half-hour or something like that, there’s so many different ways out there.

You could make money that it is absolutely crazy and I think if you are, you know complaining about your nine-to-five job or if you really want to create some sort of passive income online. I really do think this is the easiest way out there. Just do it by far and other than that, just speaking on behalf of my actual passive income and what I do with my youtube blog so right now, I’m making a little over a thousand bucks a month from just my youtube blog, and I really don’t post Too often on any other social media – and this is really the only YouTube blog – I have that generates any money.

So in the future. What I actually plan to do is obviously continue to grow and work on this YouTube blog, but also expand this blog out on different social media networks. So I do have an Instagram. I do have a Twitter, but don’t really post too much on them. I want to post more on Instagram more on Facebook, which I also have more on Twitter and then also branch out onto other social media platforms like LinkedIn and even other newer ones like tick-tock and then also.

Lastly, one other thing I’ll do to continue to branch out this kind of passive income stream, for myself is just to simply try not necessarily to you know, keep the revenue going with this specific YouTube blog, but also start off different YouTube blogs that might be associated With this one like, I want to definitely start like some sort of like YouTube social media, how to because I’m actually pretty good at that YouTube type blog.

And then I also have a gaming blog, which I’m doing a tech blog which I’m doing, which obviously you haven’t or fu. I don’t know if you check them out or not, but have not grown nearly as much as this one have. Yet. But again I don’t post on those nearly as much as I do on this blog. So that’s my pretty much passive income goals for the next year or so then also what I’m doing right now, and I hope this really helped you guys but other than that guys it’s really air for this article.

Will An AXE Split A Chain In Half???

How this all came about was unpicked was reading a movie Cool Hand Luke and, in this movie Cool Hand Luke. I think the Paul Newman Character was able to chop his ankle chains and free himself with an axe and three strokes.

Today, we’re going to put that to the test For this test, we’re going to use some standard logging chain. I believe that this is 5/16 pretty heavy-duty stuff and The axe that we’re going to be using is, of course, a heavy duty chopping. Ask -axe of the basque design. I chose this one because it has a lot of weight to it and a big cutting area. So let’s put it up on the Block and see what happens So, our first chop We’re going to use a big-.

This is about a 6×8 Doug Fir piece of cribbing, And I’m just going to go directly onto the wood and to see -this is a pretty heavy chain. I don’t know if Paul Newman’s chain was going to be. It was quite this heavy, but we’ll see what happens. I fear that it’s going to push it into the block, If that happens, we’ll put start putting some harder surfaces on there, but let’s give a swing and and find out We’ll Glove up here.

…. Alright, let’s see… [ Chuckles ]. I don’t know about this. That might be some Hollywood, but we’ll see Oh Man, What happened there, So that was as hard as I could swing…. Got- it aimed- right there hit right where I was aiming there right across that link, And the problem is that the force of the axe pressed the chain down into the wood, and it just wasn’t enough backing there [ Chuckles ] That really pushed it in There that you can see.

.. Where’d, we strike right there, So we got through not very far, not very far at all, probably about 35… 35 % through the chain. So, let’s put a little bit harder surface on there, a little chunk of plywood and try it again and see what happens All right if we put a little piece of plywood across [ t ] here that that’s pretty hard We’re going across the grain rather than Into it and I’ll get a new piece of chain here and hopefully hit it Right there.

.. See, if that doesn’t, do it, Okay, going to go right there for that one, pretty small target here Hard as I can go…, Oh Goodness, That is a lot Of force and that didn’t work very well, either It just mashed it down into the plywood Boy. I’d say if you were on a Florida chain gang and you had a block of wood, to cut your leg shackles with you might Well, you might be there awhile. There might be a better option.

Okay, there we can see So that right there actually cut through even less than the first one That -I thought that that would have Been harder than that Well, there’s only one thing left to do and that’s to put a really hard surface down, which is going to be a little bit hard on the axe, But…. We can always fix that. Alright, how about a piece of mild steel? What if we put a mild steel on there, That’s certainly not going to press through This was the first strike.

The second strike, the third one… We’ll try to go right through there To see. If we can chop through that in one hit, Even against the wood, you can see we’re getting uh, certainly getting a little bit of damage on that axe, but still plenty of edge there. I don’t think we have any prob-. I think it’s definitely sharp enough, but let’s see what happens here, You know what I’m going to put some safety glasses on There.

We go hard as I can. What happened there? Oh goodness, look at that that did indeed cut through that chain-link. Look at that. It cut all the way through on one side and Almost all the way through. On the other side, You can see the first two strikes here. It looks like maybe hit the same piece right there, But I want to see if we would like to see if it’s possible to cut through that chain in one strike.

Let’s try it again. Let me see if I can swing it even harder That steel on there Will cut, try to cut through this one right here. It doesn’t have any Nick’s in it right. There See what we’ve got there yeah again. Look at that! That’s a pretty amazing! That’s a clean cut right through that that deal, But it didn’t cut all the way through I’d like to see if we could get it one Chop. If I hit it perfectly and hard enough, I’ve bent our bar there a little bit hard enough.

I think We could actually do it. There’s a lot of force there a lot of force. Let’s see, let’s try this piece right here. Okay, let’s give it all. We got a one chop through a logging chain And a piece of steel. The white Dodge pickup, a lot of folks, have been asking about that. If I got a new rig, It’s not mine, it belongs to a friend of mine, Who is one of the volunteers, for the fire department He’s putting a new transmission and he doesn’t have a shop to work in so he’s.

That’s why it’s here he’s just finishing up putting a new new tranny in and exhaust system. So If you were wondering okay, let’s pull this tight, I Really liked it would like to chop this I’ll. Try it one more time And see if we can get all the way through it, nice big heavy axe. Oh we did it. Let’s take a look at that, so it is possible. It is definitely possible. It works Sure enough. So I guess Paul Newman actually could have chopped his chains off with an axe.

There’s a link. You can see, there’s a certainly the two pieces and That’s good to know. I guess I’m surprised, I didn’t think I didn’t think you could chop through that with one hit, but boy that axe sure put to Put the hurt on that flat bar. Let’s take a look at the edge. I’ve been really impressed with these Basque Axes. You know a little bit of chipping right there, nothing that can’t be repaired actually quite easily, But that is very interesting.

You Know what I would really like to know is: can you cut a big fat cable with an axe? You know all those movies where they cut the cable, So here’s an old logging choker, That’s pretty much served. Its purpose is starting to fray and every time I grab it. Stabs me in the hand, I’ll be glad to get rid of it, But I always read, though you see those old movies where they’re like a fishing boat or the old Sailing ships or whatever they were, there, always get the axe.

You know something It’s it’s dragging the ship down And they always have an axe at the ready and they cut through those gigantic cables. On that I don’t know about that. This stuff is pretty tough, but let’s try it and see. This is probably about a Maybe a 5 – that’s probably a 3/8 cable. So it’s not an insignificant bit of cable. But let’s put that up on here and see if that will indeed chop in one hit: Okay 3/8 cable hard, as I can How’bout that Indeed an axe will definitely cut a cable, it’s multi-strands there, it cut through all of them, except for one little piece.

So that’s that’s, definitely a truth too Yeah that actually cuts pretty simple. There huh that’s kind of interesting, So there we have it. I hope that answers your question. Unpicked and axe will indeed cut through a Logging chain in one stroke, as well as a stranded cable. So Well that was fun I’ll spend the next hour working the chips out of that axe. So, just to to tell you guys, what’s been going on lately, So I haven’t been putting up a lot of articles because, as as you know, I’ve been on two wildland fires And I’m.

I guess I’m happy to report that I think wildland season is over. For the year It has been raining solid for two days I talked to the guys that are on the fire and they’re pretty much pulling everything and wrapping up and everyone’s under the Pretty much in agreement that the season in this area at least, is completely over. Just starting to get snow on the mountains, I think it looks like to the north.

There Mount Fuji. There is starting to get a fresh cap on it and it’s just incredible how quickly the seasons change when we were just sweltering in the heat on that fire. Back to tin, pants and warm clothes and long johns and getting ready for winter, so there’s a look, got a whole bunch of stuff To share with you guys, We’ll be finishing, bringing in the firewood We’ll be doing some work with the firewood processor.

I got a whole bunch of stuff to get ready for winter. It’s just today’s. I don’t want to get out there and do it, because it’s raining and it’ll stop here in a few days And we’ll get out there and get those last things finalized. We got a whole new load of logging, a log truckload of some really great wood That I’m splitting with a couple of the guys at the volunteer fire department. We got some nice lodgepole from the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, That is a bone dry, so that lodgepole makes really wonderful, firewood, smells great And we’ll be cutting that a bunch of that here pretty soon Anything else to report, I’m really enjoying the poison oak that I Picked up from the fire We, I have it on my neck and covering about a third of my body And that’s always a good time, if any of you guys have a recipe To give me some relief from that.

I would be all ears because it is absolutely miserable If you’ve ever had it in this area. It feels What it feels like these little like little drops of acid Wherever it is all of your body, And I knew it. You know it happens to me every time the same way, And I knew I was going to get it. What I, what we do is we have the all those fire hoses and we drag them around through through the forest, and It’s got that poison oak all over and that oil gets on that fire hose and when we were doing a back haul, we’re pulling All That hose and bringing it back in when we were done with it, You know we were throwing those big bundles up on her shoulder and I got it all over my neck And I don’t know if it’s spreading and I’ve got it on my legs and on My arms and it’s just hateful, It’s absolutely people.

What else was there something else someone to share with you? Oh The van the welding, so I’ve got a welder coming Brian who, But you guys, know Brian. He works for me a couple days a week. He’s actually he’s a pretty good TIG welder. Apparently he hasn’t done aluminum, but he’s done a lot of steel and chromoly Doing bicycle frames. We’ve got a Lincoln welder coming that we’ll be able to do TIG And I’ve never done it before so we’ll do some articles on that and kind of I’ll be curious to see how how well Me not ever being able to not welding with TIG.

I can get up to speed on that. I’ve always been something I’ve always wanted to try. So we’ll share that experience as well. Maybe Brian can share a few tips with us that he’s picked up. Do Artists NEED To Become Influencers?

I believe this is a significant shift in the market. Now Warner Music has teamed up with an agency that specializes in influencers influencers okay, so this is showing what the market is valuing, they’re valuing what influence can bring to the table.

Reason being is because, with this deal, Warner has signed on 60 top social media influencers along with 3,000 micro influencers, and not one single mention of a musician in this story. So what does this mean for? You may have been trying to gain notoriety in the industry. You may have been trying to become a popping artist make music that you think is trendy. What this is telling is that the market is valuing being able to cultivate an audience, build a community and influence their engagement and purchasing decisions.

Those things are highly valued in the industry. I mean it’s everything that an artist could truly truly want to be able to do. You want to be able to cultivate a fanbase. You want to be able to build that community and you want to be able to influence them to actually engage in your content or consume your products in your music. Ultimately, so these are things that artists can learn from an influencer.

How are they cultivating this audience? How are they building the community and what methods are they using to influence the engagement and consumption of this community? Ultimately, influencers are obtaining things that artists desire, so that leaves a lot of room for things to be learned from influencers by artist. So take note where you can outside of that. How do I Rank in Maps?

Com followers, my name is ty Kilgore. Today, I’m going to be answering the question: how do I rank and local search or how do I rank in maps? Local SEO has been something that’s really taken off in the last year to year and a half and the search engines are putting more emphasis on the users to fill out the information than ever before. So I’m going to talk about five different things that you can do to rank in local SEO.

The first thing is that you want to make sure that if you want to show up for localized terms that you have a business address and a phone number that is local, so, for instance, if I were wanting to show up for a term in Lawrenceville Georgia, I would need to make sure that my business was located in larval Georgia and that I also had a phone number. That was local point number two is that you want to build out citations.

One of the main things that you want to build out is there’s many different popular citation sites out there, such as Yelp citysearch, yellow book insider pages superpages. The list goes on so essentially what you want to do is make sure that you have all of those local citations built out, and you have all the correct information listed there. The third thing that you want to do is you want to claim your local business on Google Places are being an owner, verified listing will rank higher than a non owner verified listing.

Smartphone Production, Simple Gear Basics for Interviews using an iPhone 6

I mean this thing, you know is 128 gigs of memory, and the article quality is actually very, very good and sometimes having this on hand, you know you can do so much with it, but the problem has always been.

You know really good audio you’re limited by whatever microphone has been on on the phone itself. So today I just like talked a little bit with regards to gear that you can get in fairly inexpensive gear, but really good gear. If you have like an interview that you need to do, but you don’t necessarily have the means to take all your regular professional recording gear with you, but you still want to get a capture, a good good article and maybe the the audio as well.

So what I have with my little bag goods today is first of all, I love these audio technica little pouches. You can get them about $ 8 online through amazon.Com, or maybe some of the other online retailers like B & H and and elsewhere, but I really really like these. They just they’re good quality fabric and zipper and they’re just really handy for carrying stuff. So I have a couple here today: first, talk about, you know: securing or mounting your phone there’s, there’s quite a few different options out there and I’ve spent several a lot of time researching and going through different ones, and this shoulder pod is the one that I Settled on eventually it’s a really well built.

Has nice rubber feet here to kind of grasp the the phone itself and it’s adjustable, so it can take quite a few different sizes of phones from iPhones fours to Samsung’s, Galaxy, fives and, of course, even iphone six-plus, which this one is here even with this case. On so it has a little justa bowl dial here you just kind of open it up there, and then we just go ahead and tighten the top just enough to secure it and that’s actually pretty secure.

You notice that it’s not going to go anywhere. The cool thing about this is too is on the bottom here it take, it has a standard quarter, inch screw mount and in that this is weighted so with the strap. So if you’re not going to mount it on anything, you can actually hold it. This is fairly comfortable with this weighted bottom here, but for myself I also got myself an open, titi, 100, a little mini tripod and these tabletop tripods.

I looked at quite a few of them and including the Manfrotto, and I felt that this one actually was just built better in some way and has a little bit better features. It’s it’s metal all metal and at this portion here with the ball, mount actually does come off itself, so you can bring it down further if you wanted to, but with the ball mount you can actually then mount this thing like this in a vertical or in A portrait or in landscape mode so go ahead, and just add this to here and then we position the phone in the camera anyway we want to so this is really nice.

I was really really impressed with the update Oban. I believe that’s how you pronounce it. Tt 100, they do make a model that has an extended riser for a few more dollars. It’s not very expensive. It’s I think about $ 40. I mean for that that model, but this is fine in terms of mounting it and they’re there other solutions out there, though this is the one I prefer, but the really big question is: how do you get really good audio quality audio in having a balanced mic? Is is really different, all the difference in the world, so I doing a little research.

I found the iRig Pro. They have one, that’s very similar. It is called the irig pre and it does almost everything this did does, but the exception is it analog input. I was looking for something that was digital, pure digital, and this is this fits the bill and it comes with several different connectors here. Mini-Din this one here plugs into the iPhone standard, iOS a new version, and they do have a legacy cable that comes with it.

Also plugs into the the older iOS devices, but this just plugs in into there and then, of course you have your option here to either a quarter inch plug and/or a balance mic and for just demonstration purposes. Today I have just a fairly inexpensive audio Texan Technica, Pro 70 lav mic. You can get these just about anywhere and, of course, these operate. They do have a battery and the pre fairly fairly nice system.

So if you’re doing like the interview and something this, this really would fit the bill and then, of course, a XLR cable like this here, which you can pick up but anywhere as well, in a music store for about $ 110. So, as you can see here, this plugs in fairly simple and it has a 9-volt battery in here and it does provide phantom power here, which is really nice, as well as a MIDI port in so this device is fairly compact.

Unfortunately, unlike the irig pre, it doesn’t have a means by which you can strap it by itself. You know if you wanted it like, strap it to a tripod or something like that, but a little bit of ingenuity. It wouldn’t be too difficult to do that. The only complaint I have about the iRig is that it’s got a smooth dial here and I perhaps they they purposely did it that way to keep it for somebody from moving it once the the settings have been set, but it’s a little sometimes a little bit Slick to try to move but overall, solid device – this is a little more expensive than the irig pre, of course running out about a hundred and nineteen hundred twenty dollars and the irig pre runs about.

I don’t know thirty dollars or so there’s a big difference in price, but with an all digital input, I mean, I think that really sets a standard in and also the quality build. This feels pretty solid. Now, for for audio or article input there, you can use a standard Apple camera mode in the article or I you can, you know, bump it up and pay dollars and buy the filmic Pro app, and this is a really solid, app and really pleased with.

In terms of this functionality, but you can see here that gives all types of options for both audio settings and in article settings alike, and just for this demonstration, I’m going to just going to show you. You know the benefits of having audio in direct audio. In so we’re going to turn this on and apply phantom power, and you can see the levels here go up as I talk, and so we don’t get any clipping.

Obviously, but you know you see over here on the left-hand side, you know it’s bringing in the audio in the levels are somewhat low. This point just bring it up a little bit more just gotten. The orange light or yellow light here indicates getting a little bit clipping so probably about right. There’s is a good indicator. If you have a gig that requires, you know where you don’t have a lot of time.

A good gather, your gear or or your you know, can’t carry a lot with you. I mean this is essentially all you need just a couple pouches worth of gear, maybe a cable or a key, and you don’t even have to have a cable. You can even use a wireless device like Sennheiser or some of these others. Now lighting too, is critical. Obviously these are a wonderful device here. These are the Chinese made, there’s called the HD VZ 96 and you can get a money, Bay and bunch of other places, but this is.

These are LED lighting with magnetic filters on them. They come with an orange orange diffuser as well. Of course, with a standard. You know quarter-inch there and they. As far as power is concerned, you can use standard Sony, lithium batteries which come at down dime a dozen I’m fairly inexpensive to buy or just use regular double-a batteries. In here or less case scenario, you can even plug in a power supply here for it.

So you have multiple options this this little light and of course, is it’s a dimmable, so you can adjust the intensity of the light there, but you can see adding that in the background you know you can bring a couple of these with you and then, if You wanted to go any further in and bring a stand. These stands are real inexpensive. You can do that as well. So just showing you what I use when I go on am a single shot and I don’t have the means to carry a lot of stuff with me.

You know just my phone mini-tripod, maybe in a mic and a cable, and then of course, my iRig Pro to come with me and and of course everything is built-in. I mean the cameras are the the recording capability, especially the iPhone 6 plus, is quite a long time. You can practically shoot a whole motion picture film and then some on this, so it really makes it convenient, and now, with the ability to put digital audio directly into your article, is, is really the primary thing of excellence, because too often times nothing kills a good Article with bad audio, and especially the clarity of the audio, so this will help remedy that completely and really in terms of cost we’re looking for all this gear, you know probably under right under about $ 200 for everything.

Here I should say the lav mic lab mics, you can, you know they have all that comes with flavors and you can go. You know over the top with with an expensive one, but I even find some used ones. That would probably work for you, but for the most part, you’re looking at a set up about $ 200. That will give you the ability to just do a simple, high-quality, somewhat high quality article, and you can course render this and do anything you need to in post.

But anyway, I just like to share what my setup looks like we. I hope someone finds this useful as it takes a little bit of the guesswork out of trying to figuring things out by themselves. Things

Covid-19 And FE Sales – Tips And Advice with David Duford and The Lead Jerk

Thank you so much for reading this quick article Matt at the lead. Jerk asked me to create this quick article for those of you out there. That might be a little worried about selling Final expense with this whole kovat 19 coronavirus crisis. In full force and the reason I’m putting this article together is to otherwise encourage you to not only continue to sell final expense but to ramp up your efforts, because I believe now versus all the time that I have been in the business selling final expense.

Is the single best time, at least since 9/11, to to get people interested in buying burial insurance, whether you sell them face to face or over the phone? So what I’m going to do in this quick little article is explain. Why that’s the case and to encourage you to go ahead and buy leads from that to get your business up and running and to continue selling, because people really are going to need it so right now, if you’re concerned about selling face to face, you should be.

I just got word from the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance that the ability to sell face to face for insurance agents has been restricted. That probably will follow suit for other states as well. So moving to a telesales platform is a logical solution. The good news is that again because of the circumstances surrounding the outbreak, more people now than ever or a at home, be there’s less telemarketing and B there’s more interest, because a lot of the people that have kicked the can down the road for buying insurance.

All these years now wish they would have done it. So, for those people who get in front of those clients are the weather over the phone or face to face are likely to see much higher conversion ratios, even if you’ve never sold over the phone before. So. What I want to kind of describe to you here is again not just encourage you that you’re going to see some results, good results in the final expense space.

I also want to give you some tips that I think would be useful to consider. As you place, your order with Matt, so the first one on the list here is, I believe, a local lies. Lead generation strategy is going to be your best bets. Explain what I mean. So a lot of you probably worried about making the transition. I’ve never done. Telesales so you’re not sure quite to what to expect is it’s the same.

You can say something like hey. This is David. Do Ford I’m calling because you had requested information on the phone about final expense coverage and I’m sure you’re, like a lot of clients that I’ve talked to that are concerned about coronavirus. They don’t want to get sick and die and leave their final expenses to a loved one. So I’m calling because normally I’d meet you face-to-face, but I want to serve you the right way and see if I can help you over the phone and before we get started.

What’s going on how how’s things going for you or you have you been impacted by this at all? Is there anything I can help with what this does? As far as the script goes, is it sets the stage to humanize the call? If you call in somewhat of a local area, you can tell them as much hey I live in Chattanooga. I see you look down in Dalton Georgia. People know about those two towns and both of the towns.

So there’s like that local feel, plus, if you’re sincere about the effort to offer to help them. You might help some people out in ways that you know they couldn’t get from an irregular telemarketer who’s. Just going to read down the script, not really take into account like the things that are top of mind for these prospects, so most people won’t take you up on it, but the big advantage is it’s going to build a level of trust and rapport.

That’s absolutely necessary in order to successfully sell over the phone. So that’s my recommendation as far as telesales go is buy leads format on the basis of a more local lized approached tryout statewide. If you like, there’s nothing wrong with that to kind of buying over a larger threshold or area, I just think it’s a bit easier, initially making the change to do that. A couple other ideas here: if you have to be in a situation again this this is day by day by the time you see this.

This could be an invalid sales technique, so understand, I’m not saying this is hard set in stone. This is all changing in the sensitive day to day on what we can do face to face if you are able to sell face to face. Obviously, when you talk to clients and they’re concerned, you could sell them over the phone up to the point where they need a signature on an app or to do a digital application. Then you can drive out to see em slide.

The paper under the door make sure you use hand sanitizer before and after and then send in the app that way. It sounds cheesy, but there’s agents who are doing that. That’s a valid method as well. We have been not mean necessarily, but others have been suggesting. You know bring a lawn chair with you park in their driveway. Do the sales presentation from the car might work? That’s probably going to be less and less of an option going forward, so the better bet is to just focus on telesales use.

Matt’s leads to focus on getting people to talk to, to have conversations over the phone to help, and I think, if you practice this now and start this transitionary process, you’re going to find that the business of selling insurance has not changed the method of how it’s Done has but the principle the fundamentals are the same. More people now than ever are wanting to buy burial insurance. More people now than ever sitting around the house got nothing to do and there’s less telemarketing calls being made, because a lot of these call centers across the nation are shuttered, because there are groups and trying to restrict the potential for an outbreak within that group.
