Asking me how I sell my prints and, like I said I had to learn a lot about the process in order to start actually selling the prints.
Let me just preface this article by saying that this is not sponsored. I’M going to I’m just going to be talking openly about the different brands and the different websites that I like to use personally ones that have worked for me. I make other articles about art and stuff, so if you want to check out those, you can check out those and without further ado here is how to sell your prints.
So one of the main reasons I was so confused about this process. I wasn’t sure how people got scans of their artwork. I make some pretty big pieces, so I was like, oh god, I could never fit those on a scanner. I don’t know how to do this help. How do I scan my work, but you don’t have to scan it? In fact, I don’t scan a lot of my work. I actually just take the camera, the one that I’m being filmed on right now and I take a high quality picture of the work and some really important tips to remember when taking the photo.
It’S to make sure you get good lighting, make sure to avoid reflections. So you have to really play around with lighting. I prefer natural lighting for photographing my work just because I find it illuminates the work and the colors a lot better, but you have to be really careful that you don’t get any sort of weird shadows or reflections. It just has to be a nice flat, frontal light that captures your work as best as you can.
The whole key here is to basically just take a photo of your work that matches its original state. The best you see you see this reflection, you don’t want this reflection, you don’t want any of this business. You just want a nice flat like even this lighting right now is perfect, you’re going to want to avoid direct sunlight like literally this right now. It’S just perfect and it illuminates the colors so so well be careful because some lenses tend to warp it and kind of make it look like a fisheye effect.
If you’re having this problem, you can actually just zoom in the lens a bit and take a step back from the work I find. If you zoom in the lens a little bit gives less of like a warped look, you really want to avoid any sort of deformation or distortion of the word. So yeah you have a nice high quality picture. You upload the pictures to your computer. You open up the raw file in Photoshop and actually I recently added prints of this painting to my shop.
So you can check that out if you want something that you really want to capture – and I personally really like to capture: is the brushstrokes there’s a really good amount of texture to this piece, and I really wanted to capture that with my photo of it, because It kind of just makes it look even more real, even more painterly, so much fun I’ll, usually open Photoshop on my computer and I’ll have the painting right next to it.
So I can refer to it back and forth because sometimes – and you know, we’ve all been there – you can get a little carried away with the edits on Photoshop and then your colors end up being something totally different than what you started with and to have the Painting right next to the open, Photoshop file as you’re editing is a really good reference point to have. Okay, now it comes to the actual print making there’s a lot of different places where you can get prints done.
If you even do a quick google search, you can find so many different print shops near you, you, you could go into a couple different ones and you don’t get get one print done on each one and you know see which one you think is the best Quality, my first ever prints I got made at Staples, which is just like a popular office supply store in Canada. I don’t know if you guys have it anywhere else, but the prints were pretty good, like I really like the paper quality and it was really convenient and close to my house.
But now one of my very bestest friends works at the print shop at my school. At my university, so those facilities are awesome and the printers are designed to print art like it they’re designed to print beautiful, color images. So I started using that print shop instead and that’s been great as well. These are some beautiful, beautiful prints and the quality is just everything like it’s. Like the exact same as the original piece, you can see every little brushstroke and it’s just such good quality, and I also have able to get larger prints made.
I really like this one. I drew this one with marker and you can literally see all the little a little marks. I made it’s the biggest prints that I’ve made so far, I’m hoping to make bigger ones. If people wan na place custom orders like if you want something a lot bigger. It’S going to be a bit pricier, but it’s going to be worth it because looking at quality now moving onto packaging, this was the only available size of my prints when I first started out – and it’s actually pretty easy to find something to shoot this in, you Can either just get a regular eight-and-a-half by 11 envelope and cut out a sleeve of cardboard to put in the longest time staples carry these amazing envelopes.
They were like made of cardstock and cardboard. They were like nearly impossible to bend and they fit these perfectly, and it was so easy so simple, but then they like discontinued them and I never could find them again so but then things got a little more complicated once I got these different sizes. These are 13 by 17, which is a weird dimension like there’s, not a lot of envelopes that, like you, know, fit these dimensions.
So I have learned to make my own envelopes out of cardboard. I don’t know if this is like sketchy and unprofessional, but it’s been working for me pretty well I’ll, basically take the old boxes from my work make them into envelopes. So I’m going to show you guys how I do that. It’S simple: you know it’s all from scratch. It’S like homemade envelope. I don’t know if that makes it cuter, but it does the job and then the last step is just mailing.
It out you go to your local post office and you just ship out the prints. It’S a good idea to get a price estimate on the shipping costs before you actually set the price on your website. These aren’t that expensive to ship out this size, but once you package something like this up, even though it’s not that much bigger it counts. As a parcel, instead of just a simple envelope, so the shipping costs do go up and that’s something I had to learn the hard way because you know I just kind of took the price of these knocked it up a few dollars.
But you know these ones. These ones were quite a bit for shipping, so make sure you get the price estimate before you actually set the price online just go to like the post office and ask them how much it would be to ship out this. Then you can change it on the website and all’s Gucci. Now let me talk about the website that I use. I know quite a bit of people who, like manually, sell their prints.
If that makes sense like they will post somewhere on social media, that they’re selling prints and people can DM them – and you know like set up like an arrangement to pick them up and whatnot they’ll do um their address and then you ship it out. I’Ve been using this website called Big Cartel. Ever since I started selling prints and it’s been such a blast website for me, it’s so easy and it does all the jobs that, like I don’t want to do, and it lets me do exactly what I want to do, which is to get my own prints Done so I can assess the quality myself.
It lets me ship them out. I personally always like putting in a little handwritten note into each of my packages just thanking the person for buying and that’s just like a personal flare and like just so. You guys know like I package up all these prints they’re, all wrapped with love. Yes, so I really like having the control, where I’m able to get my own prints done. So I know exactly the quality.
I want exactly how I want them done same with the packaging. There’S no miscommunications, there’s! No, I’m not left out of the loop like I’m the one doing the hands work. I really prefer it that way and then Big Cartel is great for for just getting the payments through and then each person who buys one puts their information so that it like their shipping address, just shows up it’s nice and easy for me.
I just write it on the envelope. You can get a free membership. You can get like a $ 10 a month, one. If you want some more products and some more features. You can also customize your website so much which I have been loving. I’Ve made my website all pretty. It looks real good. I’Ve really been liking, Big Cartel and you can like settle the prices yourself and you get a hundred percent of the payments like they don’t take a percentage of it, which I really like as well.
When setting the prices for your prints, you have to take into consideration three things: the cost of getting the print done itself, the cost of shipping it out, and then the value of the actual artwork that you made. You have to just kind of add those all up. You can be realistic with yourself price it at a point where you know you’ll be making profit rather than throwing all that money back into.
You know costs of materials of printing of shipping yeah, so Big Cartel is a great website. It’S been a great website for me. Super easy to set up super easy to get everything organized on there and all the payments processed through there and then that’s pretty much. It you can do a lot of fun things like you know, I like leaving the handwritten notes in the packages. You can also like get a custom stamp made for your envelopes.
That’S something fun to do. I something important that I like to put on me. Envelopes is do not bend because they’re delicate lovely prints yeah. Many of you may not know what that is, but you wanted trust me search engine optimization is basically getting your business or charity or whatever it is that you’re promoting to come up first on Google, when people search on Google all right, which is obviously very very Valuable now I’m not talking about it, might be very clear. I’M not talking about the ads people get this confused, because when they talk about advertising on Google, that’s when you buy ads, it’s called Adwords and those are the sponsored links that appear over on the right-hand side, and some few of them appear even above the search Results sometimes those are pay us and we’ll talk about those later at the end, but what I’m talking about is different.
What I’m talking about is when someone searches, for example, if you are in the hotel business and someone searches hotel, you want yours to be the first one that comes up on the results, of course, because you’re going to get a lot more business. That way, and I’m talking about search results, so we’re not talking about money involved and not talking about paid advertising. Anybody can have an ad budget and pay for ads and show up on Google, and then I mean it’s it’s strictly a matter of how much you decide to bid for that ad.
So that’s a whole nother thing, but I’m talking about the unpaid not adds just the actual. What we call organic search results that come up. Okay, everybody wants. This is like the hen that lays the golden egg, because you know, of course, there’s a reason why people are paying. I’M somebody told me target paying a million dollars a day for advert. Oh well, there’s the. I think that you know carelessly they are getting results.
I better use google and I don’t know, billions of people hits a day they get and searches and so on, but everybody uses google and that’s how we find things and the everything is on the internet. So Google, you know, there’s a reason behind it all right. So anyway, it’s very very, very valuable for your business, your ad or whatever it is you’re promoting to come up very high in the search results.
Everybody wants this so as a result, there’s a whole industry. That’S evolved around it. They even they call it SEO search engine. Optimization and really you know I hate to say it, but there’s really only one search engine nowadays and it’s google for now. That’S the way things are, I mean sorry, microsoft and yahoo, but google really is uh. You know. Has the vast majority of the market share in search engine stuff? Well, okay, but we’re not talking about the paid ads, we’re just talking about your results.
Coming up first on google there, let me explain a little bit about google because everybody kind of uses it and they understand. If you want to find something, you use google, but there’s more to google that meets the eye. I say why Google is God Google’s, not God, but it’s like. I always say you know Google’s, not God, but God gets his information from google. The magic of google that has created this multi-billion dollar industry is really really really simple, but I need to explain it to you because you need to understand how Google works in order to put it to use for yourself and really profit from it.
Okay, so here’s the basic idea, which I was telling you the other day, I was beginning to explain it to you, but for you for our audience ultimate, basically, every website I mean I’m just simplify it. I’M going to use real simple explanations very over. You know highly oversimplified, but this is the basic idea um and also by the way, Google’s formula. They’Re already call it algorithms that they use to determine what comes up first change.
It’S like a secret. It’S like the cocoa, the other. You know seven secret ingredients of kentucky fried chicken or something like that. It’S highly highly guarded secret and it changes continuously because they’re constantly improving it I’ll get into why that happens is also but the basic idea doesn’t change. The basic idea still remains the same, and that’s the billion multi-billion dollar idea that made these two guys.
You know some of the richest men in the world all right. Here’S the basic idea, oversimplified all right explanation: Google is a set of machines or robots; okay, they go out there and basically read every website on the entire internet every night or whatever it on different varying schedules without getting too detailed um. Sometimes it’s every two weeks: it could be every 20 minutes. It depends on the website.
But anyway, basically, let’s just say overnight, Google robots read every website on the whole entire internet. Okay, now, as you know, websites contain links, so your website might have a link to my website. Okay, now what happens is if ord mean if, if your website has a link to my website, google counts that, as one vote for my website, like a pie, almost like a popularity contest, the basic idea behind this is, if many websites link to my website my Website must be important, so it’s an importance rating sort of like a popularity rating, but you know more about importance, so they scan every website on the internet virtually and they count up all the links.
Now, if you, and also if you have like 100 links on your website to mine, it only counts at once, because you only get one vote. Okay, so each website, which is a dot-com domain, I’m talking about com domains by the way it could be ComNet or whatever, but has to be a top-level domain. So it is you know whatever you know. If it is, let’s see trips, Europe, calm, /, something something /, something something that doesn’t count as a separate domain.
That’S still all trips to Europe, com, okay, so all of trips, Europe, calm and all of its pages. Underneath all the links to my way to get one go one count all right so now, then it that’s like the basic idea of how it ranks it, which website gets the most votes. Okay, then it takes that information and it says well, if I have tons of oats, then my website is more popular or whatever mine is more important.
Then it’s higher in the rankings so the next night, when it when it reads every website on the internet. My vote counts and somebody else some other websites vote. If you follow so like here’s an example, if um you know whatever, if check see market sushi calm has a link to your website. You might get one point of popularity vote. If CNN com links has a link to your website, you might get a thousand votes alright.
So it’s a weighted vote now, it’s so the more popular the website is that link to you the more important your website is. It makes sense in the real world. We would say you know a letter of recommendation from phyllis keeper. One thing: a recommendation from Bill Gates is another thing exactly so it’s a weighted vote all right. So I make sense – and this is that is that’s it. That’S it. That’S the basic idea of how Google works so the result of that magical idea.
It’S so simple! It’S like seeing the best things in the word in the world are so so simple, but the magical results of that are, if you want to know, what’s the most important, what’s the most popular, what’s the best of anything, you can pretty much type it into Google. It’S not just a search engine, people think it’s just for searching the internet, but it’s really magical you can put in anything.
You could put in cellphones New York and find the very very best site on the internet, about cell phones, Newark, and it’s based on the reason magical is because it’s human beings who are creating these links so web people create websites. They create website content. So if the most people are who are mentioning, that term are have linking to that website, it’s the best right now and because o evolved tremendously to the point where it’s it really is updated.
Like almost instantly virtually instantly, I can post a blog post and it’ll show up in Google within 20 minutes. It’S crazy how fast the slow process works. So all right! That’S the basic idea behind Google and you need to understand that before you can. If you want to figure out how to get your business first on the search results, you need to understand a little bit about the mechanics of how it works behind the scenes all right now, um, let’s see ah alright.
So this thing this idea of importance is called page rank, so every website has a pagerank. Google calls at page rank, and that is, I think it goes on a scale from 0 to 10 or 0, like google com is something nine. You know for sure. My point over ten point: oh maybe it’s the only one! That’S a ten-point house up like that, but there’s a pagerank. So obviously it’s that’s what I was describing the higher your PageRank.
If you get a link to your site from a pic from a site that has a nine-point-oh weapon – oh sorry, a nine-point-oh page rank. That’S a really really really valuable. It might be night, I’m just making up numbers – I don’t know, maybe nine thousand times as important as getting a link on a website that has a pagerank of one. So I have a question yeah. For example, if we get a request for someone that wants to link up with us, should I the ranking of that page I mean do I click on the link and see where that that is in perspective to like 985.
Before accepting it, hmm very good question that is a very good question um, and I want you to hold that question: okay, because um, the answer is: if you get an email from somebody who wants to link up with you and trade links with you, don’t want To do it under any circumstances whatsoever and oh so hold that question. Don’T check that off because we’re going to get back to that because that’s that’s covered later: okay, um yeah! You don’t want to do that and I will explain that a minute.
But that’s a great great question: um you do want to, I mean, will come okay, let’s just continue bumpy. That’S going to be kind of answered. Oh it’ll be made clear here when I get to this next part. Alright, so that’s what page rank is again we’re not talking about paid ads. Google adwords, that’s going to be a separate thing altogether, we’re talking about the organic results. Now i’m going to talk about two things that you um, you don’t really want to do.
There are because everybody wants to have to be first on google there’s an entire industry created of consultants. You know, basically, I what I always say is: if I know one thing more than you do, I’m the consultant. You pay me, that’s correct. If you know one thing more than me, you’re the consultant, you know if you can lift a bigger dumbbell you’re, the trainer, okay, whatever anyway, that’s how the world works.
So if I know anything more than you I’m the consultant, you pay me and I didn’t, and I could just beasts. I could be B essing my way, you know how about you know that happens. Obviously, tons and tons and tons of things are going on like that, where, if you just talk a good talk and you sound like you know what you’re talking about you could pay me and you don’t know if it’s like a car mechanic, you don’t know if I know anything I never seen a car before all right, so what happens is there are SEO consultants and I’m not saying that they are all bad but it.
But I am saying that there are a lot a lot, a lot of sto scams and manipulations. All right, so any kind of an sto, scam or manipulation is not going to work. Basically, I’m just saying: don’t do it because it’s not going to work anyway, you can pay money to do it. You can. You can read like how to things about how to manipulate the system, which it kind of is what we’re doing, but in a different way we’re doing it in a legitimate way that is totally permissible by Google.
You know I mean google has a lot of power. Google obviously controls all this, but they have to eliminate people who are absolutely trying to. You know automated use automated systems to manipulate it, because if they didn’t, then their results would all be skewed. Their Google would have no value. They would really destroy the value of Google. The whole benefit of it would be gone if just whoever comes up with an automated robot that can manipulate it, it would be irrelevant in the San.
The rankings wouldn’t mean anything, so they don’t allow manipulations automated manipulations and they that’s. Why that’s one of the reasons why their algorithms change all the time, all right, so, for example, of them are these things called link farms which are simply you know, because of course, when you figure out how it works, the links are what Oh Wow! Why not? Why don’t you just set up a thousand? You know computers, a thousand websites, 10,000 websites that all have links to you.
You know, and it doesn’t work that way because, first of all well, each one only counts for one vote and so on all that. But what happens? Is Google now has formulas to look for that they can spot it. They have really sophisticated our artificial intelligence. Really it’s going out there reading those web pages and seeing is this a legitimate website, or is this just a link farm? A link farm is simply website set up.
That has nothing but links on it. You know simply for the purpose of manipulating Google right. Well, they they it’s easy to spot those, a human being, can look at it. So what they’ve done is they’ve studied what they all have in common and they’ve seen the traits of them and they go okay. If it’s, if it meets these qualifications, Boombah Boombah boom, it’s a link farm, and what do you think they do they ban that they completely eliminate it from their search index Wow and the links that they’re linking to get banned as well and people are actually paying For this yeah yeah yeahs people are actually the service, and you know that’s why they pay like they sell for a certain price they get so many links, like you know, whatever its absolute insanity, you know, and it’s kind of like everything in life.
If you try and scam your way to the top you’re going to fall on your face, so instead of becoming first on the search engine results, you’re not going to be on Google at all, they could put in your name with your middle name and your birth Date and the town you’re born in and they won’t find you because you know they’re going to find your business, because if your domain name gets banned from google, they can’t find you even if they put in the exact name Wow.
So you don’t want that to happen. You obviously don’t want to get banned from google you’re trying to do the opposite. So don’t do that. Don’T don’t buy links. Don’T, and I highly recommend you don’t do those link exchange programs there’s a million link exchange programs. You sign up for them and they sent they send you emails and they say you know, exchange links with me, put a link on your site to my site.
Well, we’re up to that because, obviously that’s another manipulation and what’s happening is if your site has nothing to do with the industry that their site is in or if they’re linking to so many different things that are not related. Google has algorithms for that too. They figure it out, it’s really not hard to figure out, so don’t do it, don’t do it. It doesn’t really work and it really may get you banned from google and you don’t want that all right.
So there are a lot of other. What I call SEO scams and manipulations you want to avoid to things that you know these. These nitwits will recommend, like repeating keywords like putting keywords in the smallest possible fonts on some hidden page and having 10,000 copies of the same word over and over and over again, but that might have worked in 1970, but you know they were on to that. That’Ll get your website banned from google and you’ll have to go through a petitioning process to get them to restore your site to google, and you have to prove that you’re it’ll have to be reviewed by a human being to verify that you’re actually not doing anything.
That’S you know scammy or spammy or whatever, on your website um. The next thing is keywords like white on white. They put white on white background. Don’T do that? That’S automated! It’S so easy! Their computer can easily detect that you’re doing that and boom you’ll be banned from you know. Your website will be banned from google. Don’T do any of that stuff all right! The next thing is not something that’s bad.
It’S just something that’s kind of useless and that mostly not completely in I explain it’s called meta tags. Em, ETA tags, tAES meta tags. So if your SEO consultant tells you well here’s what I’m going to do for you by the way, let me tell you a little quick little story. A friend of mine who owns a bed-and-breakfast business wanted help with his you know, search engine, optimization and all that he he chose not to listen to my advice, which is fine, totally fine.
My place doesn’t come with strings, and but he decided that he would rather hire this SEO consultancy in new jersey, and so he paid them five thousand dollars up front and then fifteen hundred dollars a month and on top of that was his google adwords budget. On top of that, the only thing they did was they created. These meta tags for his website is what they were telling him. He was what they told him he was going to do.
They were going to do for him that he created these meta tags for their website and he they increased his google adwords budget. Well, he got a lot more hits. Of course you did yeah pay more money right, it’s like duh. I said why don’t you pay me? Fifteen hundred dollars increase your budget and you’ll, get more hits to you. Could pay anyone fifteen hundred dollars and increase your budget if you’re going to increase your AdWords budget? Of course, you’re going to get more hits from your AdWords budget, but that’s a whole nother story.
Those hits are not real. It’S like it’s like traffic, it’s like. If you had a retail store and you could buy, you could hire people to walk into your store and leave. That’S what it’s like! That’S exactly what it’s like! If you pay a hundred dollars and I’ll have 20 people walk through your store and leave walk through your store and leave? Oh my gosh, you could have 10,000 people walk through your store and leave.
They don’t buy a single thing, a couple of them shoplift, but nobody buys anything and you get the more money you pay, the more traffic, whether your store is that what you want? No useless hits people who are not even looking for what you’re selling coming to your website you’re buying that you’re absolutely wasting your money totally wasting your money. So some of these, this is a search engine, optimization consultant who’s.
All he did was he took his. You know he took, he wanted access to his AdWords account and he bumped up his budget. Hey. You know a thousand percent and bought a lot more ads and got a lot more hits and he’s like. Oh wow, look at all the I’m getting! Oh my gosh! So what exactly are the meditech? Okay? Meta tags? That’S the other thing that they you it’s a buzzword. That is simply in the code in the basic HTML code for the website.
You will see these little HTML codes and they’re called meta tags, they’re literally just tags that the web browser can read. Computers can read but they’re invisible on the page they’re not for the reader to read okay and they’re just to tag the page for automated purposes. All right, so there are two tags that are useful and about three, no 22 tags that are useful and very, very important that I want to talk about.
The rest of them are useless completely useless. They are once again they’re like ancient technology. This is how things used to work way back when website. When you know HTML was invented. The very first search engines used them and they’re a meta tags for things such as just I’ll have keywords in there and you can put your keys in there. Well, Google doesn’t use that people think they can manipulate if they have a website that sells um.
You know real estate. They think that they can put words in their keywords like sex. So when so many people search for sex they’re going to find my site about real estate, it doesn’t you know it wasn’t. That goes way for that. Google does not use your keywords: they make their own Kingdom, hey their computer reads your site and their computer will tell you what your site’s about, okay, which obviously is an improvement.
It makes the whole thing better. So Google creates its own keepers based on the content of your site. They don’t ask you to come up with your own keywords. That’S obviously, you know ancient ancient technology, so keywords is one example of a meta tag and there’s a whole lot of other meta tags to and SEO. Consultants will tell you that they’re doing all this tedious work on creating meta tags. For you, it’s absolutely useless.
There’S only two minutes, I that important, that you know your mission echo this all right. We here um, I go to go and I put in your site terms your own trips and I’m going to put a space in between. It is two different words trips this year. That’S what happens when I googled it um. Maybe I should spot Europe right, but either way it comes up. It comes that all right, uh wait a minute. Let me see what did I do around here? Oh see interesting, see when I put in trip space.
Your beers doesn’t come up. Well I mean I came up. Did it come up on the patient? Let me look again hold on one trip space: Europe. Let’S write them tomm where it doesn’t, it sure doesn’t see. This is the goal. Okay, yours doesn’t come up when I put in trip space europe, it doesn’t come up on the first page. Let’S look at the second page. It should be a different color because we went there earlier.
It’S not on page to page three you’re going to be a perfect guinea pig because we’re going to get you right at the top of page one and Zach remember the end of this project. You’Re going to be made one when I put in trips you’re nothing coming up and a title in your company right: it’s not even like apartment rentals; first, like the freaking type of your company quay. So if I knew the name of your company, I couldn’t find you what oh yeah, that’s, not good, that’s not good! Now, I’m going to do it again, i’ma put them first without a space because that’s their name trips, Europe, calm with no space.
It better come up first and there, of course, it comes up first, when you put it in as the actual domain name. Of course it’s going to come up. First, always alright! So there’s your website now, if you can see here, so what I’m going to do if you take, if you go to your own website, your own company’s website and in your browser you go up to like, for example, if you’re in firefox, you go to view And then go down to, is it of you or is it or is it edit wait a minute yeah, it’s a oh there.
It is sorry see even I can visit anyway, the bottom of the view menu the next to the last one is called page source view page source. That’S what you want Internet Explorer has a similar button to. You can also right click on the page itself and do view page source, that’s what you want and boom. This is what you could. I don’t know you probably can’t see that at home, but what it is. It’S the actual HTML that the website is sending to the to the browser.
This is the computer language, basically, that the browser is sending so at the top of it. You’Ll see, you know, document type stuff, and then you see in brackets, HTML and then in brackets head and then below that meta. Anything that starts meta. That’S a meta tag. So these are. These are tags and they’re called meta tags. They’Re. Just like information about the page, all right, so these are meta tags up here.
It says: um, meta tag, HTTP, equivalent content, type, blah blah blah character, set some details about the language it’s in and what character sets to use these are for the browser. Then you got meta name equals description. Content equals all right now. This is the there’s two meta tags that are important. You’Ve also got keywords: it’s okay to put keywords in, and things like that. That’S fine, but just know that Google isn’t really not using them.
That’S really not important the important there’s two important meta tags and they are, you, know, bracket meta space name equals quote description, quote space content, equals quote and then whatever is in between those quotes now and then the other one is title, which is a slightly different. It’S not uh, it doesn’t start up metta its its bracket title bracket and then, whatever the title of your page, is bracket, slash, title bracket, okay, so the two meta tags and report in our title and description.
If you don’t know how to do this yourself, you can have any geek who designed your web page or you know any any. It’S like one of the most basic things that a web page designer can do if they don’t know how to do that. You’Re not talking to a web page designer by any means, but I want to be able to set that. I mean you really you, you know you’re any web designer can do this for you or you know a lot of geeks can do it for you too, but the important thing about the total in the description is this i’ll show you i’m going to alt-tab back Over here to your page or actually to the google search results now see, this is the google search results for your page, and up here it says, trip cyracom is a paris apartment rental company in Europe, France and Paris.
We rent studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three and more apartments in deluxe, dot, dot, okay, and that is coming straight from this line. So the reason it’s important – this does not determine the ranking of of it on google, but this is what people be when we do get it to come up for totally whenever wherever it comes up on google. This is what they’re going to read. So it has to be something that’s going to it’s like a billboard for your company.
If you know, I don’t think you really wanted to say studio, one-bedroom two-bedroom through it, you want to waste half of your text. You know in redundant stuff. This is really important. This is the grabber, so from a marketing standpoint you want the descript. You want the title. Well, we’ll get to the title in a minute. The toggle has to be important too, but the description has to be something that they read about your company and say: that’s the one I want.
Oh that’s going to fill my need. That’S the one! I want all right now. That’S why the description is important, because the description is the dependency to the floor if they ever click exactly and that’s going to make them make the decision to click on your company. Ok, now the title it tighten up to the title is not the title. That comes up on here. The title, meta tag is the type that comes up on your actual site up here in the actual title bar at the very top of the browser up there is this beautiful Paris apartment for Paris, vacation rental, etc, etc.
That’S the title of the window and if you see here on the title line, that’s where that’s getting it beautiful department of it, okay, all right now that seems a little trivial, but it’s not it’s. Probably the most important SEO tip fr, write this down the title. Meta tag must contain the most important keywords people will search for, because Google gives very very, very high importance to the title of that page.
So the title that shows up in the blue or brown or whatever, but you have to title of the browser window when you’re looking at that web page that title every leg. If you make a list of the top 10 keywords that people were going to search for like apartment rental studio, whatever um all of those were need to be contained in that okay. So when they say paris studio, you better find the word comparison, any better and the words do yeah or it’s not best title.
The title has to be contain every one of those keywords and it should contain them in order. So if you want, you know, Paris, vacation rental is a phrase that they’ll search for they need to be in that order, Paris, vacation rental and contain all the keywords that are the most important. So the title is absolutely critical. That’S real important! All right! The title is important because of that the description is important, because that’s what they’re going to see on google before they click all right so but all the other meta tags they’re pretty much absolutely irrelevant.
Just you know let the computer generate whatever it generates and they really don’t matter. Google, in the terms, I’m sorry in the sense of from standpoint of search engine optimization they don’t matter. Google ignores them for those purposes. Okay, now those are the things that really don’t matter, except for the title in the description. Here’S what matters! Ok! This is what makes your site come up.
First, legitimate links, ll legitimate risks all right, so these are not sto scams or manipulations. These are not link. Farms, these are not repeating keywords: white-on-white, blah blah blah. No, this is legitimate links. How do you get legitimate links ever anyone’s hottie? Get legitimate links? Ok I’ll, tell you how and besides – and it’s also it’s not just legitimate links. It’S like you’re trying to get into Yale.
You need letters of recommendation. Ok, you don’t really need that many letters of recommendation, the truth, be the truth, be told you don’t need that many letters of recommendation. You just need really good letters of recommendation from really important people. Okay, so I need legitimate letters of recommendation. You need legitimate links from the most important sites. Ok, how do you do that? Ok, here’s how you do that! Take notes, people all right.
How do you get them, you get them from forums and blogs, etc. All right now here are the steps you take first make a short list of the best keywords for your business keywords or phrases: ok, so whatever your business is I’ll, make the short list of the top 12, let’s say the top 12 words or phrases. So you know phrase phrases with include vacation rentals if you’re in that business, Paris, apartments, etc, etc, etc, but make make a list of 12 words and or phrases they could be single words.
You know like apartments or whatever or rentals, with an S things like that single words and or phrases and prioritize them put a little number next to each one after you make the list you might, they might have come to your mind and they’re in the proper Order of which is the most important like what do you think your customers and here’s it by the way? Here’S a way to get that was to is ask your customers, the actual customers already paid the check cleared.
They already stayed at your place, you know, call them up and say by the way when you, if you were looking for my business and you went to Google, what would you type into Google and they’ll tell you exactly and that’s how you make that list? I mean you can make the list from your own the top of your head, but I’ll tell you. This is a better way exactly. You call your customers up who are already paying you and say.
If you’re trying to find my business – and you didn’t know the name of it, what would you type into Google there? How did you find my business yeah if they remember they? Probably I don’t remember, but so you just say if you were going to look for another one, you know, and you didn’t know the name of my business and then what would you type into Google on about what I guess I would type in um? You know flat, you go, oh my god that wasn’t even my list and you find out that all your customers are living in flat all right.
There. You go. That’S the okay and then based on the votes of what they tell you. That’S how you can prioritize them all right and it’s important to prioritize this list and here’s. Why? Because you’re going to start at the top of the list right! The first ha word that comes up: what’s the first one that comes to mind for you, what would you just guess? What would be the number one again furnished apartments? So if, if it’s furnished apartments, let’s assume that everybody all your customers are, they all said? Well, I would type in furnished apartments okay.
So if that’s your phrase, then here’s what you do it’s so simple step. 1. Well. This is actually step 2, because that was step. One step one is to make that short list and votes from your actual living breathing customers step to that. That’S to prioritize them step. Two is type in the first one into google. We’Re going to do now all right, so I’m going to bring up Google here and we’re to type in furnished apartments.
Was it yeah? I think that you need to be specific to where the furnished apartment would be so probably furnished apartment in Paris, Paris, okay, so I’m going to do, let’s assume we’re going to assume that most of your customers set up the google rich parents – okay, so that was That we, let’s it’s kind of like a cooking, show hey. This is what it looks like when it comes out of the oven. So what I’m furnished apartments parasite, so here’s step to Google furnished apartments.
Paris put it in exactly the way they said they would and boom all right now, you’re going to here’s your results. Now, as you, I don’t know if you can see this at home, but this part up here is kind of like in a in a beige or whatever had like an eggshell color. Is that your sponsored links ignore those make their invisible to you responsibly? These are the ones you pay for. These are Google AdWords.
These people pay the most and this people pick at most in the third most and then they go down this list in order that way, ignore that that’s a whole nother topic will come to later. Then you’ve got this section, which is local business results for furnished apartments or Paris right and these are. These are actual businesses that have come up under that under that phrase. So those are your competition really probably yes, they’re, okay, and then you look at what below that.
So you can see those are by a map. You see the google map and then a list of each business kind of ignore that unless there’s something that’s not a competitor but like a directory of those that might be when you want to target anyway. Let’S start here with the actual search results full right now. This is the hen that lays the golden egg. That’S your gold mine, those top results here, you scroll it down just a little bit: okay, so starting here right, um, those that’s your gold mine all right! Now what you need to do is you need to study each one of these, starting with the first one.
Okay, you I mean you, you don’t need to make a list cuz. Actually the list is right there, but this list is your mind. I’M telling you you start with the first one and you visit that what you can do is you can hold down the mouse button. I mean sorry hold down the ctrl button, the ctrl button and the corner of your keyboard hold down control and click on the first one, and you can actually hold down control and click the second one and the third one, the fourth one, the fifth one do: Five at a time all right and it opens what that does.
Is it opens them all into tabs next to you, so you go to the first tab and now you’re looking at the first one, which is you know, that’s what I wish it was. Isn’T it first, one is low juice? No, oh, that’s not. You know that does, but the first tab is the next one. Oh I’m sorry man, you ain’t. I had that open already oops. Well we’re visioning. What’S going to have in the future, won’t happen. It will be there.
Okay, sorry, only the first one is this one: oh jeez, all right now, that’s the first one and that’s the second button and that’s the third one and so on and so on. Actually that’s part of the same one. So, anyway, you get the idea, there’s there’s four different: these are the top four all right and they’re all open all right. So what we do is we start with the first one. This is. This is an ongoing project.
That’S going to take some time week after week, you have to put some time into it, but it’s going to be well worth it all right. You look at the first one and you study the website. You study this website till you know it like the back of your hand and here’s what you’re looking for it’s like an Easter egg hunts? Okay, what you’re looking for is ways that users can post content now. What’S the most common ways, users can post content are if the website happens to be a forum right or a blog or if it contains a forum or blog or maybe even links to a former blog, if there’s a tab, if there’s somewhere some way, people can Leave comments or feedback or there’s a forum button where the community button often leads to forums and things like that.
But you want to study that thing thoroughly, because this is the number one site on google about what it is that you’re doing. So, even if it’s your competition, it doesn’t matter as long as they allow public comment. That’S what you have to find all right, so you find the forums you find, the blog. You find some way that users can communicate with each other or post things review hotel to whatever any what the users can post content.
Then you look for the real winner. If your that’s the ferry ticket winning every ticket is, if you can find a place where users can focus content where they one link, so you can see it um. You know Betty Sue wrote about her stay at in Paris and blah blah blah blah blah, and she posted a link to it could even be to her own. You know web page or something any link at all. Okay, because that will tell you that users are allowed to post content or comments or whatever and they’re allowed to put a link.
A lot of them won’t. Allow me to put a whole bunch of links because they figure that spam. But if you can, if users are allowed like approved users, are allowed to post, even one link, that’s all you need. You just need one link. You need one link to your website. Okay, now all right now, there’s then, but it’s a little bit trickier than then. What seems okay, it’s going to get a little bit like peeling away the layers be all right.
So we’re talking about um and if it is something you can buy a list, it might be a directory of apartment, rental places and you can buy a listing. So it doesn’t matter if it’s paid or unpaid comments, this thing’s anything that you can post yourself and by any means possible, and I say if they sell listings and you have to pay for it, do it that will be money well spent. You know blowing away money on google adwords.
If you don’t know what you’re doing is absolutely just wait: flushing your money down the toilet but buying a paid listing website on the first side that comes up on google. Now that’s a gold mine that return your money thousand times over. So if it’s a directory that comes up first definitely want to buy a listing on there and look for other ways that you can post like. I said forums blogs all that alright.
So going back to the Google search results, if you find you know, if you’re really lucky somewhere on the first page, remember the first one is the most important one. The second one is the second most important one correct the eighth one. Don’T start at the AIDS. One right because the eighth one is a tempore tins. You’Ve got to start at the top and work your way down. Yeah. How did it if you notice the first one it comes up as cheap has actually first and second yeah, it’s indented, so yeah you can.
The indented ones you see they’re, both lodges comp, is the sub page of it. You can just ignore the subpage of it. Okay, just ignore that it doesn’t really count. The first one is lodges com. The second again, this is a google search. We just happened called furnished apartments. Paris is when we searched for the first one that really comes up is logis com. The second one is parisian home de Paris, furnished apartment parish, furnished apartments, calm in Paris, attitude, calm and so on, and so and so on.
Like that, some of these may be your competition and some of them might be directories, so maybe you know referral services or whatever, but these are the way you market you absolutely if you can get on there and find a place to comment post things and have That, especially if it’ll allow you really even but post it, even if you don’t have, even if it doesn’t allow you to link on there if it just allows you to be contacted by email.
You know you still might get referrals through that too. So it’s definitely worth to post it anyway, but if they’ll allow you to post a link, that’s brilliant now, even if they don’t allow you to post a link, how these will have like a lot of blogs, forums will have. If you go to your profile, there’ll be a your profile tab, or so you can edit your profile. There’Ll be a signature thing like an email signature.
You can put in your name and be very discreet about this, because you don’t want to look spammy, but you can put in your name and your link, so in the signature they might links in the content. If they do do it only one link, though, and only your site, of course, or else it’s useless, but if not or even if they do put it in the signature, also put Diana Acosta Miller trips, Europe com, nothing else, you don’t want any ads or you Know nothing look.
Spammy just looks like a signature, Diana Acosta Miller trips, Europe com, that’s it the great, discreet professional. I make sure you put in HTTP colon, slash, slash trips, Europe, calm, because a lot of software will automatically convert that into a click of link. Okay, if you do – and if you don’t put that in before it might not so you want it to be a clickable link for sure all right and then test it post, something and then go back as a reader and see that it works.
Okay, all right now, repeat, repeat: repeat you just keep doing that you got out the first one on up to the hundredth page. That’S that’s a project that is going to you know you could put in as much time as you have in your spare time. You could do a couple hours a week and you will see amazing instant results. You should you could have. You should have ten times as much business within a week or two.
You really well, and these are not just like Adwords clicks they’re, just like random people. Clicking on your site and then clicking off of it, these are people who are searching for exactly what you have to offer and based on the search word that came up, your customers said they would search for right. This is brilliant. This is absolutely a goal of mine. Okay, now there’s a couple more things really important.
Okay, some really really really important issues about this. When you see the content that other people have posted on these sites, you must mimic what they do. Okay, and what I mean by that is, you must be real – must not be a spammer. This whole idea is not original. I’M there are software system. People have set up specifically for this purpose. To manipulate Google, like, I said everything everything you could dream of has already been done: don’t even try to outsmart Google, ok, everything you could possibly dream up to manipulate.
Google has already been done. What we’re doing is not. It is not a legitimate. What we’re doing is legitimate and I’ll explain why this is really important, be real, don’t be a spammer, don’t write comments that sound like ads like a 10-second radio spot, no answer people’s questions. If it’s a forum or a blog answer, the question, if you’re going to make a comment about an article on a blog or something you leave a comment, make a comment about the article make it real make it legitimate.
What I always say is contribute something of value. Your comment must contribute something of value. Even if it’s asking a good question make it a good question, make it a thoughtful response, a thoughtful comment, answer somebody’s question help somebody refer them to the right place or whatever, but you must collect aust. You know that there is a cost involved. Besides just the time, if you contribute something of value to the discussion, you will never be banned any system administrator who sees that you are real person in you’re caught you’re, contributing something of value.
With your comment, they’re not going to think anything of it. They’Re going to add, because that’s the whole purpose of it that’s the whole purpose of it and as long you’re you’re not abusing the system. If you do that and by doing that, you get a legitimate, you know your name and your website link there. Everything is fine with that as long as you’re contributing something of value, if you’re not you could be, they may very well assume that you’re, a robot you’re, an automated system and it’s called even have a turn for is called comment spam.
So this is whole entire industry of comment spam. There’S this whole genre of software designed to defeat comment spam. It’S done by robots, but if you write a thoughtful comment that contributes something of value, they will know you’re, not a robot and they will never ban you and you will get the link that you need. Okay. Now let me explain why this model, why this method works by first explaining this okay, you might ask, can I just post links everywhere on the internet and get the same effect? Can I know yeah, you can’t wait.
Here’S the yes and no here’s the thing you can certainly post links anywhere on the internet, and I recommend that you do as long as they’re, not you’re, not spamming. No comments ban spam, you’re, absolutely contributing something of value. Go crazy, post, your stuff everywhere, every website. Every forum, every blog that you participate in everywhere on the Internet, make sure you’ve got your name and your link in your signature.
If they don’t have a signature, make your own just at the bottom of the copter. Put your name and HTTP colon slash, slash your website com on everything you post, where Twitter absolutely everywhere, every form of every blog and all that yes definitely do that, but don’t spam always contribute something of value. Definitely now will you get the same results as what I’m suggesting? No, you won’t you’ll get results and it’s all good and it every penny counts, but you’re talking about putting pennies in the jar and I’m talking about putting hundreds in the jar.
Here’S the difference! Here’S! Why? Okay, in order to get these enormous results, two things are required. Pardon me again, the websites that you get links from to have this superpower, two things number one: they have to be indexed by google. In my over simplified explanation, I said Google’s reads every website on the internet: it’s not true. Not every part of every website is read by Google. Some web website operators are intentionally make it so that parts of their site are not indexed by Google and some websites are eliminated by google.
As I was telling used, google can you unban certain websites so, for whatever reason not every website is indexed by google and not every part of every website, sometimes part of the websites indexed like, for example. Let’S I’m just making this up. Okay but like let’s say, CNN com is indexed by Google, but the forums of cnn.Com are not indexed by Google. So this is why you won’t guess this necessarily get the same results.
Okay, so not every websites indexed by Google and it must be indexed by Google, whether otherwise, what’s the point you get a lint, you get a link posted in a section that Google doesn’t read: it’s not going to help you all right. The second thing is that the website must have the highest PageRank possible. If you know, if you post it in a forum on your neighborhood, you know whatever little league team forum or whatever that’s fine.
You get one vote and it’s all good and doesn’t hurt anything. But again that’s a penny and we’re talking about hundreds. So the you want the links to come from website you’re going to put this. You know you’re going to it’s going to involve time, you’re going to put in so many hours a week doing this stuff wanting at the biggest bang for your buck right. You want to get the hot you knowing it pay the highest dollars per hour right.
So don’t work for minimum wage if you can, if you can get a hundred dollars an hour, so what you want to do is get links from the highest page rank sites possible. Now, why does the method I just described work this way, because, by definition, all right, these sites are indexed by google. Remember we put in the search for the that your customers number one search term by the way when we’re done with all of those sites, then you go to number 2, mp3 and every boy.
This is an unlimited project. There’S no end, there’s no end until your number one and then you actually even then you can’t die exact cause. If you, if you stop, somebody else is going to read my article here and they’re going to see that they’re going to beat you to it. Alright, so you put in a search and we went back what came up first right. So are the sites that come up on google indexed by google, obviously yeah, because the fact that they’re on google is proof for sure they are indexed by google.
They were read by google, that’s why they came up okay. So that’s number one number two well, and actually one more thing about that, though, even though the site may come up, their forum might not be indexed by google. You can test that there’s ways you can test it. You can go into the forum part or the blog part, where you’re going to comment highlight some text not too long but, like maybe half of a sentence, highlight some unique half of a sentence from the actual comment, content and google that and see.
If it comes up, then you’ll know that that part of the user content is also indexed by google. That’S another little sidebar trick. Alright, then you know, by definition, that the that is indexed by google, which is absolutely critical wasting your time. I mean not wasting it, but it’s not that great all right. The second thing is the highest page rank. Well, obviously, we’re going by number one. The first search term number one first, but that is number one page rank by page rank on the whole entire.
In okay, I’m google so that by definition, by doing it, this way you’re getting your absolute certainty that it is indexed by Google. The contents indexed by Google, and especially if you actually highlight the content, make sure that the content part of its index bike well and that that website is the highest page rank by definition. You solve that, so it’s not the same as just posting links randomly anywhere.
This is this is like mega thousand times on steroids, okay, so that is less than one. What questions do you have? They were all I think, they’re all later in then, in the game I mean, I think that I mean it makes perfect sense to me what you’re saying it totally doesn’t have a lot of work ahead of makeup. Today, you did like the question you about getting an email from one of those link exchange programs.
Obviously answer that question for you right, don’t even participate any kind of link exchange programs don’t participate even SEO consultants be very, very leery. They better be able to i’m going to hire an SEO consultant. They better have proof that they have current clients like like at least two or three like fortune companies as current clients, or else i’m sorry, and they should be on the top of the page.
Well, they should for sure I mean, but that’s that even that’s not enough is no client their clients definitely, but they might anyway cuz their first time ever. Come Syria mean if I was going to hi, I wouldn’t hire an SEO. I wouldn’t hire a consultancy to do this because I’m telling you how to do it, anybody can do it right and if from what I’ve seen it, I’ve spoken to a lot of companies and they all say they want like a five-thousand-dollar, retainer and $ 1,500.
Nothing like you said they want you to bump up your google adwords budget, so you’re paying all this money. You know what I would tell them. Is this don’t touch my google adwords okay, an SEO consultant has nothing to do with adwords. That’S like saying: well, i’m going to need you to spend ten thousand dollars a month on billboards on i-95, like what does that have to do with SEO. Google AdWords has nothing to do with SEO written.
No because that’s cuz, ur paid ads, remember the paid ads are showing up on the top on the side. They’Re buying these for you and then they’re going to get hits and they’re going to tell you they’re going to get random people traffic in your store. Random people hitting your website they’re, not even looking for an apartment right, but you can buy clicks. You can buy hits, but the random people that aren’t even looking for an apartment, i’m going to click.
You can pay exactly you’ve done that. First of all, you could have done it yourself. Secondly, it’s not going to help your sales and thirdly, that has nothing to do with getting your rank higher here that you’re buying ads here is not going to help this people get it confused, they’re, completely different things. If you’re trying to get somebody to improve your your reputation in the newspaper, you don’t you know you don’t let them sell you billboards on the University there’s completely different things search engine optimization has nothing to do with buying ads on Google.
You can do that you, I mean that’s like that’s an advertising, optimization thing that is a separate business and they should not be connected really because they’re just confusing you there intentionally confusing the public to say that you know what yeah you increase. Your your ad budget, you’re, going to get more hits duh. What are you do for exactly anybody can do that all right. I mean there are ways to optimize your google adwords and all that.
But you know what don’t do that try this first by this first, because it costs nothing except your time to time absolutely free, and I mean, if you don’t have the time you can you can. If you can don’t learn this yourself, you can train an assistant or a staff person to do it its rocket site but make sure they don’t get lazy, make sure they’re contributing something of value in those comments, because if they get labeled as a comment spam, it’s Going to hurt you you’re going to get banned and you to defeat your intention.
Okay, another question: for example: sometimes we get requests through our system and it’s spam I mean it’s like spam: it’s a link to sex or whatever or whatever it’s and it’s a request that comes through. Do we get charged for those or how to have substantive spam work? I mean no just take your type of email spam, I’m talking about email spam like we give it. Our system is automated when we get a request.
It comes through a system and we see it at ninety-nine percent of the time. If we’re not on the top of the list, it’s spam and we do pay for google adwords. So does that count as the google adwords it? Oh no will. Google adwords is different. That’S different than search engine, optimization, that’s buying these eyes on the right right and you’re paying. If I click that have this company just paid whatever they did.
Okay, I can click this one and that company paid google whatever they did right and that’s how it works. So, just by clicking on your website, they don’t even have to send you a request right just by clicking on your website, you’re paying. Okay, that’s why it’s really dangerous to evart I mean Google AdWords is dangerous unless you know what you’re doing, because you can spend all the money you’re you and your and your descendants will ever make in all their lifetimes and Google’s still won’t return.
Your calls but and you’ll get billions of hits on your website that are not customers they’re, not buying anything, won’t translate into income. There are ways there are effective ways to use Google Adwords, obviously, and we’ll do that on another show. Yes, but this is SEO – and this is not paid ads – we’re talking about okay yeah – we will get into that – will do that too, but this is different.
This is getting your your free listing to come up first that, and that is first of all, it’s a lot better than the adwords, because people ignore that. I always ignore that unless there’s something that really catches my eye, I ignore that stuff. I go for the real results because I know that that’s the most important, but that’s because you’re you know you know I think the average person I mean I don’t it depends on.
Where might they might not know? Exactly that’s true. I mean I’m not saying to not use google adwords, it can be a very effective marketing tool, but it’s a completely different science about how you optimize that very and it’s very, very, very risky. Do you say like what you interact with the Instagram ads or no most of them said? No, so I thought I wanted to make a good training course to teach you guys how to grow. Your like online presence the right way instead of annoying the consumer, alright guys so the first step I made an acronym, it’s always easier to remember its arc awareness targeting customer disclaimer. This is often doesn’t work if you have like a product, for example, if you’re an artist make sure if your tracks are fire, if you’re a youtuber, make sure your articles already good.
I hear a article editor make sure you actually have a really good feed and you’re proud of your work and you believe in it. Marketing just exposes the out of your product. Howling you right now. This doesn’t work if you’re not already happy with your product. Maybe if you just got started, wait a little bit and honestly paid advertising, which is this whole article is not needed to grow a successful social media.
I grew my blog from zero dollars in my pocket from last year to 7500 subscribers with nothing in my pocket. In three weeks, so I can do a whole article on that. If you’re interested just comment below, but I’m telling you you don’t need paint advertising, this is just to scale it and take it to the next level. I want to show you guys a good example of what exactly I’m talking about when advertising is done, kind of bad you’re, a micro.
You know what I like a lot more than materialistic things. I realized that the one way to annoy people is just to show an ad that has no relevance to them multiple times the first time. It’S alright. It’S like a time queue. The third time, I’m going to sue you, okay, so we’re going to fly. This thing is insert my tutorial. This is not a this is not a facebook asked or there’s so many other articles you can look at.
This is more of a mindset. Strategy implementation is on your end. It’S a lot of work, honey so be careful. These are my results from the last post. I did. I haven’t, ran it out in a while, so you have two options. You could use a it’s your going to promote button, but that’s not really going to work for you. The reason why it’s not because Instagram sucks Facebook bought Instagram, they only each other anyways, it’s actually the targeting so in regular ads on Instagram.
You can’t do this. You can’t target people in the industry of entrepreneurship women in 30 to 30. Everyone in this location, you can’t make a custom audience. You can’t use pixels, it’s just limited, so that was just a little bit of insight on why I don’t believe the promote button and you’re probably wasting your money, because you can use all that money. Instead of spending on a general audience, you can do a specific, targeted audience for a lot cheaper at the awareness stage, don’t sell anything just maybe just maybe do I mean here’s a few examples I mean okay, I made this for the article.
So just don’t judge. Okay, that’s what I would do for stage one éva humorous: keep it light, keep it do that if you want it on a funny person just give value, maybe tell them what’s up if you’re a marketer it made me tell them your results, but don’t sell them. Anything at awareness, age get them pumped up. That’S the most like off-putting thing, people trying to give a call to action. You don’t even need a call-to-action.
You just need their attention because then you can go over to step two Stage. Two would be again the retargeting. So you’re going to retarget people that have seen this ad, maybe 50 percent way through, and you know after they’ve seen 50 percent of this article you’re going to show them this one. So this one has to be more specific. You see what I mean like it’s just. If I was selling an e-book, that’s what I would do.
Okay, it’s kind of embarrassing cuz. I would never actually make it that, but you know you can use your phone. You can just record it. I mean all my edits using Adobe Premiere Pro, but you can honestly just use iMovie. So once you show the consumer the first ad, then you would target them. You want to close the sale. This one you can ask for you know the Jab Jab right hook. So you can ask for whatever turn itself if you’re trying to sell a product or e-commerce, maybe you to swipe up feature.
You have to remember your goal. Are you looking for an email list? Are you looking for likes on Instagram like what is your goal? Make sure that’s your call to action whatever you do, do not put your call-to-action in the awareness stage, but that’s going to trough your consumer really easily. Actually it takes the consumer, like think nine, to eleven times for someone to purchase project Stage. Three obviously is going to be the steamer, so you’re going to make them do the final call to action so you’re going to retarget people that readed this one, maybe 75 % amore, and then we target them in the cart.
So then you only show a certain amount of people. This one way like I get more desperate over the course of the time wait, but at the end it has a call to action and the swipe up feature. So there you go. I think up my main pointer just do not do this if you don’t have a budget for it, I I get. I organically grew by count you, if you know, if you have the money, pour it into ads like a lot of people, are like refusing to eat or buy the right equipment because they want to pour into ads.
You don’t need to you know, honestly. This is like you know you don’t have to. This is my role for most like good marketing. Good marketing should live by at least 10 XO tax return, the best or so say, you’d $ 400, an ass if you’re not making it thousand-dollar said honey like it’s. Not going to be good in the long term, I know you guys are like also with me on long term legacy, but long term legacy doesn’t work when you don’t have anything to eat for tonight right.
So I know if it’s actually but like I truly mean it like. Please bloggers help guys so don’t beat yourself down. If you can’t afford an ad budget, because you don’t need to always split test, you know if you’re not seeing results, people give up. People freaking give up on their ads the second day they post it like. What are your expired like give yourself two weeks, that’s why you need a lot of money.
So that’s why this is like not for everybody. It takes two weeks of really see results. Don’T start changing till you look at the results after two weeks give yourself time every once we got a rush they’re just like running on this, like freakin race, like take time when your ads split test wants you to see results after a good chunk of time And don’t keep changing it because all you’re going to do is ruin what you already have and never analyze the data.
Have you received all right guys back home? Okay, so I know this was very complex because it works. Not everyone. Does this most people actually charge like thousands of dollars? For me to say this? I probably shouldn’t be saying this right now, honestly, but I want to give you guys the best, and this is going to take a lot of work, but it only comes down to one thing. So, listen up this multistage template works so well it’s just.
It comes down to are you splitting enough? You need a split test, the targeting or the audience demographic, and you also need a split test. The ad itself, the article with split testing, means, as you put instead of posting one article you post to and out of the two you see which one performs the best: that’s all and you keep running the one that wins. So you need to keep testing on your demographics.

First thing you got to do is figure out if you’ve got the right length of rope for yourself now, depending on your height and depending on what a rope you’ve bought. They usually come in standard sizes of either 7 8 or 9 foot lengths and most of them pretty much all of them are adjustable. So what you want to do is step on the rope with one foot all right turn the handles upside down and you’re. Looking for three different measurements, depending on your level of technique and skill, if you’re just starting out, you probably want the handles to be up a little bit higher towards the top of the shoulder.
Once you get more experienced, your cord length is going to decrease so that the rope moves a little bit faster, so the next measurement will be mid chest and the next one would be lower part of the chest now. This is mainly for people who are jumping very fast, who are very experienced jumpers. So I, like sort of the mid chest area here, works from my height works on my skill level as well. The next thing you’re going to figure out is: do you have the right length of handles for your jumping skill level? I like them in to be about nine to ten inches long.
It gives me lots of extra leverage to help move the rope around and it gives you a little extra space when you’re starting to perform more complicated tricks when you’re holding the handles. You want to make sure that you don’t go up towards the attachment point, because then you’re really losing that whole advantage, that you have from having a longer look longer lever, you’re, going to rest it and send the center of the hand we’re not going to death Grip it like we’re trying to turn coal into a diamond.
Do you just want a nice light grip on there, so you don’t wasting energy by just gripping onto the handle. Alright next thing we’re going to talk about, is we called jump posture, basically standing straight up and down like six o’clock to make sure that we’re not leaning forward or leaning back and putting extra undue stress on the knees and the ankles? So, just like, I said chest up shoulders back nice and relaxed knees slightly soft next thing you do is even just work without the rope before just see what it feels like just start, bouncing nice and easy remember: the rope is only a quarter-inch thick, sometimes usually Less so you don’t really need to jump that high if we end up jumping way too high, as we can see because very stressful, the knee is very stressful, the ankles so we’re just to start just doing a little basic shadow jumping right here from the side And from the back nice and easy now we’re fortunate enough in here to be working with a nice soft surface.
So it actually voids quite a bit of the shock we try and avoid jumping outside on concrete, because that does create a lot of extra stress again. On the knees and ankles, and if we start getting into that territory, we get into the dreaded shin splints if you’ve ever had shin splints, you know how horrible it is and how painful it can be and how will definitely deter your further training with the jump.
Rope so we’ve got a nice got our nice soft surface here. So let’s actually pick up the rope again. So next thing we talk about is the timing, the timing of the jump and the rotation of the rope. Because, obviously, if you don’t jump over the rope, you will jump into the rope or the rope will whip you in the ankles or in the back of the legs of the knees, not always the best thing that happened, but it’s inevitable.
It will happen, however, so now we’ve got our rope, we’re going to continue the shadow jumping, we’re just going to rotate the rope in your dominant hand, so I’m right-handed, so I’m going to put both handles in my right hand and just start moving. It forwards. Nice and easy we’re looking at the rotation, we’re thinking about pushing the rope down, we’re not pulling it up and around we’re, actually just pushing it down.
If you put enough energy into this part, the rope will naturally pull itself back around. So the only time you need to put effort in is by pushing the thumbs-down right, now.We time to jump with that. So we’re doing what were you doing before right, making sure that the rope is making contact with the ground, but not too far out in front, or else it’s going to throw off the timing. Yeah now we’re getting used to this? That’S not so bad! Alright! Now we’re going to get really brave we’re.
Actually you jump over the rope now so, as I said before, you will hit yourself with the rope, so don’t think it has to be perfect every single time you just get used to it. So you’re going to start with the rope behind your knees, hands up just like so we’re just going to pull the rope over once to jump over it nice and easy, pretty simple huh, and this is where it all starts. All the fancy moves.
All the fancy, tricks and skills all start with the basic bounce step two feet: leave the ground and come back at the same time, nice and easy not jumping too high and not landing too hard from the side, jump, nice and easy. Okay, so also keep in mind throughout this article, if you can’t quite master the skill right away, that’s totally fine pause. The article here practice. The move a few times then hit play again and continue following along we’re.
Doing now is we’re going to do through our five ten fifteen twenty to thirty. What that means is we’re going to stop after five reps we’re going to reassess our technique and then modify the technique to make it more efficient, a little bit safer. So most people, when they start jumping we’re going to jump way too high. At that height, I should be able to get three rotations underneath or the coveted double under or triple under.
We like to hear about so starting, which is five simple, jumps one two or five stop. Okay, if you notice that you’re jumping too high press pause in the article and try this a few more times until you get to five without jumping on the rope and without jumping too high okay. Next, we go to ten nice and simple one. Two three: four: five: six: seven, eight and ten perfect: alright, we’re going to turn to the side here, because this is my good side and we do 15, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, and stop what you’re, also going to notice at this point.
Is that you forget to breathe, and so that’s why I’m very important to have little pauses in between these fives, because it’s not just the combination of the rotation of the rope and the jump. But you also have to breathe as well and we’re going to go up to 20. Let’S see how you do here: ready: 20, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20. Good. All right, like I said before, if you’re having trouble when you get to 20 press pause on here, try it a few more times and make sure you gave yourself a chance to breathe all right.
Let’S go to 25. You’Ve made it this far ready twenty five. Ten, twenty two three and five all right so again at this point in time, you’re going to start to feel a little fatigue in the legs, a little fatigue in the calves that is completely and totally normal, especially if you’re, just starting out so again take a Bit of a break shake the legs out a little bit, relax shake up the shoulders. Take a breath, congratulate yourself for choosing one of the best and most effective exercise programs in the world.
So now we’re going to go up to 30 if you’ve made it to 25 we’re definitely going to 30 jumps ready. Here we go twenty seven, eight, nine thirty whew there we go okay, so you’re going to practice the thirty reps, counting it out, making sure you taking this nice little pauses in between the sets of 30. Until you jump for about three or four sets again give your legs a shake out, make sure you give yourself time to breathe, get a sip of water and we’ll get back into it.
Okay, so you’ve been practicing your 30 jumps now. Your first goal is to do 100 jumps, unbroken, meaning you’re, not going to hit yourself with a rope and you’re not going to jump on the rope itself. Are you ready for this one? Okay, if you’ve got your 30 down we’re going right to 100 ready here, we go 10. 20. 30. 40. 50. 60. 70. 80, 90. At six, seven, eight, nine huh! No right on guys, if you’re able to follow along with that.
That’S fantastic means! You are this much closer to mastering the basic bounce step. Alright, so congratulations! If you got through 100, you do have another goal and that is going to be 500 unbroken jumps once you can do that, you’ll start to see the effectiveness of a longer jump. Rope set, like I said before, if you’ve been articletaping yourself or jumping in a mirror, always take time to readjust the technique, minimize the jump height and maximize the rotation of the wrists, and that’s going to make sure the rope moves.

I have to share this with you guys. So, like always in my articles, I do the Y house and then the additionals, so here’s the Y right – and this might be obvious to some of you – maybe some of you – it won’t be.
It is deductions. Deductions are crazy. This is how even fortune 500 companies are able to operate a loss and not have to pay taxes, sometimes even end up with refunds, which is insane you need to take advantage of that if you’re in the u.S I’m in talking to US law, it’s it’s. It’S really really cool in regards to ecommerce. What we’re doing in Amazon, it’s up to $ 5,000 startup cost. That’S so much money, guys $ 5,000! Think of the all the equipment you need.
You need an iPhone or an Android phone right. You need a smart phone. You need a computer, so all that cost can be deducted from the startup cost. Here’S the cool thing. I know if you just start it now or maybe a couple months ago, anything you’ve purchased in the year of 2017. Let’S say because you know we’re coming up on the tax season, you can deduct so that computer you bought in March. It’S now a company computer.
So if you have the invoice for it, you can deduct it. So you can add up $ 5,000 pretty quickly um. So expenses are anything from from defer. Your deductions are anything from marketing advertising travel. So, like you know, flights or mileage if you’re driving in a car the electricity bill right, everyone has an electricity bill, the internet bill. You cannot do e-commerce without internet. That’S a deduction seminars, classes, accounting costs even so much as meals.
So if you’re meeting say you and a buddy are doing the Amazon, FBA and you’re meeting them and you’re brainstorming, that’s a business meeting right! You can deduct it! Here’S another! Here’S! Another big wine paper loss right. I was mentioning that earlier, so you can actually operate at a loss and that loss of your LLC will compensate for your income tax that you have in your day job. So let’s say you made fifty thousand dollars in your day.
Job and you operate your LLC at a ten thousand dollar loss, keep in mind, we’re not in the business of losing money, but let’s say you’ve lost ten thousand dollars that ten thousand dollars in taxes. You can use the $ 10,000 that you’ve lost in your business. Can be used against your personal income, so you pay less taxes either way right. Here’S the how the boring part right, the very first thing.
Once you form you LLC, you need to put a corporate structure in place, so what that is essentially is you’re going to be paying yourself a salary. The next thing that comes – and I believe this has to be done within 75 days. It’S called an ECE. It’S an entity classification election. Now I don’t know all the details about it, but I can tell you needs to be done within 75 days and what it is is you’re letting the IRS know how you want to be taxed.
If you do not do this as an LLC, they will basically just decide to tax you at the highest rate, which is, I believe, as an individual and that’s a tax rate up to 15 percent. You don’t want that. You want the lowest possible rate. The help right this is this is really boring, we’re not in the tax business, at least I’m not. This is where you get help. I did it with 100 accountants. I would highly recommend them.
They set things up for you, they’re very personal, and you work with a team, so you’re working with a team, so you’re always going to be working with the same people. The people will already know about your expenses. They will go through your if you’re starting now they will go through 2017 credit card statements, alongside with you, and make sure that you’re getting the solid deductions remember they’re working for you.
Their best interest is to provide you with good service, so your remain on them. On the you know, on their payroll, your remain as a customer I mean, and and basically save you money, so the cost for that is about two to three thousand dollars annually. I know that’s a lot they do. You can split that up in payment. They do let you do that and then there’s a 30 dollar retainer. Now don’t freak out guys.
I know that’s a lot of money and that might not be the first thing you want to think of doing, but consider it as you know, as a cost to starting your first. You know your first product really right. You know you’re putting in such a financial commitment you’re going to drive yourself to success. Anyways right. It’S it’s another big thing. You know having no plan B, it’s it’s it’s a big thing, sometimes just jumping with both feet in and yeah it’s and then at it’s.
Just the 30 to 30 dollar cost. The cool thing is: if you need any so articles consultation, they don’t have any hourly fees. You just set up an appointment and you just talk to them. It’S it’s no problem, so there’s no hidden cost. Here’S the crazy thing on top of that we’re talking about deductions earlier right, you can deduct that. So essentially it’s done for you for free, it’s already a tax saving.
Not only will they do your personal business, you you Peart, they will do your business tax and they will do your personal tax. So if you’re already paying someone for your personal tax, you can scratch that right off you’re going to get that done with them anyways. She would have been eight months and now I am currently pregnant with my rainbow baby. So the first question: that’s probably the most asked question is when is my due date, so this baby is due October 30th, which is so exciting because that’s the day before Halloween and if you guys know me Halloween – is my favorite holiday hands-down. I love everything about it: the weather, the scary movies, the tricks, the treats trick-or-treating um, haunted mazes, literally everything, I’m obsessed with Halloween.
It is my favorite, so we’ll see when this baby’s due I’ve never gone over my due date. How many weeks are you so today, as I’m filming this it’s April 21st and I am pulling out my baby out because I’m 12 weeks and 12 weeks and four days, how did you know you were ready to try again so this one is kind of a Complicated answer after Everly passed away. I honestly wasn’t sure I wanted to be a mom again.
I just couldn’t envision being pregnant again. I couldn’t see myself going through that pain. Possibly again I just I couldn’t see myself being a mom again honestly, but after a while when I started working through my grief, I started you know talking to my husband. I was more open with my feelings because it takes a lot for me to be open with my feelings, which I know it’s kind of hard for you guys to understand, because I’m very open on YouTube.
But sometimes I have a hard time communicating my feelings. So, as time went on me, my husband started talking more and more, and I was really able to just you know open up to him. As time went on, I noticed go past the baby. I’Ll didn’t necessarily make me sad anymore. Talking about Everly brought me joy. Instead of just sadness, I started to envision the possibility of another baby being in our house.
I started imagining what it would be like being pregnant again and just thoughts like that. Didn’T necessarily make me sad anymore. It kind of made me excited for the future feeling like I was ready again. I had to feel it in my heart. I know that sounds kind of weird, but it’s true. It just wasn’t a quick decision. It wasn’t like. I woke up one day and I was like alright: I’m ready to have a baby.
Let’S just go ahead and do it like me. My husband talked about it for a while and for a while there we weren’t on the same page, like I had some days where I would tell him I’m ready for another baby, even though I knew I wasn’t it’s just my arms felt really empty and I Knew I said I wanted a baby for not necessarily the right reasons, and there were times where my husband would say: okay, I’m ready for a baby.
Let’S go in and try like right now, even though I knew he wasn’t ready either. We were just saying that, because we were so hurt and our arms were longing to hold our daughter Everly again, so we had to really you know, move past those feelings and work through them and we had to wait until we were ready to try for a Baby for the right reasons: when did you take a pregnancy test before or after miss period, so I actually have all of that information saved in my phone.
I’Ve been documenting, like my whole, first trimester, because I think I want to film a entire first trimester like article for you guys, because I get a lot of questions on how like I’ve been feeling. And I’m almost out of my first trimester already because in a couple of days already be 13 weeks, so I believe I’m technically in my second trimester 14 weeks, so I’m super close. So I think I want to film that article for you guys, so I have like everything saved in my phone, so I tested positive, very 18th, which was five days before my expected period.
How are your appointments with the virus going around so for my appointment? You have to wear a face mask, they won’t even like let you in the building without a mask, because they have like a little booth set up where you know they monitor everybody coming into the building. They make sure you’re, not sneezing and coughing. All of that stuff – and then another thing too is Benny. Unfortunately can’t go into my appointments with me, which makes me so sad because he missed a lot of appointments with Everly because he’s in the military and we were in the process of pcsing.
So we were in the process of moving from Hawaii to California. So if you kept up with my articles during that time, you know it was a crazy time because I had to fly out without him and he had to stay so you’ve separated for months. So he missed a lot of appointments with Everly, so with this baby he’s also missing out on ultrasound appointments, which makes me so sad. I wish he was able to go into the appointments with me, because pregnancy after loss is really hard.
So a lot of my appointments are nerve-racking. I have anxiety going to the doctors. I really wish I had that support and he was able to go in the room with me. So only patients are allowed in. Another thing, too, is once I get to my doctor’s office. I don’t have to sign in. I don’t have to touch anything. They literally put me in a room right away, so I’m not in any waiting room. They also are not booking multiple patients at once.
So, every single time I’ve gone into one of my OB appointments. I’Ve never come across another patient. Are you going to do a gender reveal? Yes, I am. I am not too sure how I’m going to do it originally, since this is our mango baby and we weren’t around family with Everly, so we didn’t get to do like a big gender reveal. The plan was to have a big party at our house. Have all of our friends and family over and do like a big gender reveal, but everything going on with the virus.
We obviously can’t have people over at our house right now, so I think we’re going to kind of just do what we did with Everly. I’M going to order some cannons like confetti cannons or smoke, cannons, something like that and then we’re going to just literally go in the backyard and pop them off and then I’ll film it for you guys upload that, where are you afraid to try it in 100 % I was terrified to try again, but I knew in my heart.
I was ready to take that step and I knew I wanted a baby, but yes, 100 %. I was terrified. Are you considered high-risk? Yes, I am. My pregnancy got flagged immediately as high-risk as soon as they learned the disorders that I really had so I am being monitored closely, but I’m not going in for more appointments than any other normal pregnancy would just because everything that’s going on with the virus.
They don’t really want patients to be coming in like every single week, just to you know be on the safe side. My doctor also has been ordering a lot of testing just to make sure everything is okay with this baby, so you guys know I did get my non-invasive prenatal tests done. I also did get my glucose has done very early. I think I was only like ten weeks. She just wants to make sure that me and the baby are okay, so I’ve been having a lot of testing done earlier than I normally would, and then my doctor also ordered us to go, see the genetics counselor just to go over everything with us.
Also I like I said I got the non-invasive prenatal test done and then I’m also going in tomorrow, actually for more testing just to make sure the baby is okay and then me and Benny are also getting tested to see. If we are carriers for the gene. For holoprosencephaly, are you considering having a CVS procedure at this time, 100 %? No, unless I need to, I never want to go through that again. I do have a article up on my blog of the CVS procedure.
If you guys want I’ll leave it get linked down below, but that was so terrifying and uncomfortable. That was probably the scariest thing. I’Ve ever done. So if this baby’s ultrasound looks abnormal and they see something again, then possibly I would consider getting a CVS procedure done again. But if all of my like non-invasive prenatal testing comes back normal and all my old sounds look good, then I would never willingly get a CBS procedure because it’s so scary and I just for the girls excited so excited.
I think a lot of people took Leila’s reaction, the wrong way. A lot of you guys thought she was very like anti baby and she wasn’t happy about this baby. That was 100 %, not the case before I actually found out. I was pregnant, both Aurora and Leila, both of them we’re asking us for a baby. I don’t even know where Aurora learned this from I don’t know if Laila was telling her to ask us for her baby, but they both kept asking for a baby brother.
So when they found out, I was pregnant again. They were so happy. So when you guys saw the article of us telling Leila, I definitely thought she was going to be more excited, but I 100 % understand where she was coming from in that article, because I felt the same when I found out I was pregnant. Obviously I knew there was a possibility. I was pregnant because I was trying, but once it becomes real, all the fears just set in what symptoms did you have before testing? So a lot of you guys were actually shocked because I did share this answer on Instagram.
Like I said, I tested positive five days before my expected period and they actually did have symptoms before testing and a lot of you guys were shocked that I was already having symptoms that early. But I was like that with Leila. I tested positive with Leila six days before my expected period and I was having a lot of symptoms with her my symptoms before testing was, I was dizzy so much especially if I stood up too fast.
I had to like just stand there and close my eyes and take a minute because I thought I was going to pass out. I was so dizzy for like a week straight, and I didn’t know why, like I thought for sure my iron was low and I thought I was anemic, because I was that way when I was pregnant with Arora. I was so dizzy to the point where I had to sit down when I was getting ready in the mornings because it was so bad.
I also was really nauseous like one day randomly um. Usually I think it’s because I don’t eat the best. To be honest, usually I’m even when I’m not pregnant, I’m a little bit nauseous before I go to bed, but this nausea was different. It was like when I woke up all the way till I went to bed and it just would not go away even when I was eating, so that was another symptom I had another one was I had headaches on and off and they would not go away.
I tried taking tylenol, I tried drinking water. I tried eating. I tried taking naps, nothing helped my headache, so that was another symptom that I had and then the last of them that I had before testing positive was for about three days. I was cramping on and off. Are your symptoms different than your previous pregnancies? 100 %? Yes, which kind of makes me think I am having a boy just because this pregnancy has been so different.
I don’t want to go into too much detail because, like I said I do want to film a first trimester, like recap, of how I’ve been feeling and stuff, but yes, 100 %. This pregnancy has been different, though cravings have been different. My symptoms have been different. Just everything has been different, so this pregnancy definitely has me thinking. Maybe it’s a boy, but at this point no we’ll see how do you cope with being pregnant after a loss? You kind of just have to take it one day at a time, and you have to let yourself feel those feelings, because all of my feelings are valid and I know they are normal.
I know it’s normal to be stressed. I know it’s normal to be scared. I know it’s normal to have certain things like trigger you. I know all of the feelings that I’ve been feeling as normal, so I just take things one day at a time I try not to stress, and I try not to dwell on the negative thoughts, because I know stressing isn’t good for the baby. So when I’m having a hard day, I just really lean on my husband and he gives me a break.
He kind of like takes over everything with the girls, so yeah, that’s kind of my way of coping is I just kind of give myself a break. Talk to my husband about it, I don’t really do like laundry that day. I don’t do like dishes. I just really relax and take that time for myself. What do you want to be a girl mom, or do you want a boy? So I get this question. A lot thought of being a boy, mom kind of like freaks me out a little bit because I literally never had to take care of a baby boy, because my mom has like all girls.
She does have one boy, but my brother is older than me. So I’ve never had to take care of a baby boy, so just the thought of like having a boy is so like unknown to me, but I think having a boy would be so exciting, but also having another girl would be exciting too. I think overall, all I really want is a healthy baby, so yeah it could go either way and I would be happy either way. You think you’d want any more kids, or would this be your last baby um me and my husband are kind of leaning towards this.
Is our last baby, at least for a while, but I also don’t want to go past 30 and, having you know, a newborn. So I don’t know it’s kind of hard to say because we are still young, but at the moment we are leaning more towards this is our last baby. You and Benny said y’all were trying for two months. Did you guys do anything specific to conceive fest? No, I wasn’t like testing my ovulation or anything.
I was keeping track of my periods just because my periods have been really irregular. I did breast feed my children and I breastfed both Layla and Aurora for an entire year each and for that whole year. I didn’t get my period and then, when I was still breastfeeding Aurora I didn’t get my period back and then I ended up getting pregnant with Everly and then obviously I didn’t have my period the entire time I was pregnant with Everly.
So I finally got my period after Everly and, as you guys can imagine, after not having a period for like over two years, my periods were insane and they were so all over the place. So I was keeping track of my periods, but I wasn’t tracking like ovulation or anything I wasn’t taking any ovulation test strips yeah, we weren’t doing anything specific and also I do want to say. I know a lot of you guys that read me have been trying for years and my heart is with you: I’m sending you guys, love sending you guys all the baby dust and prayers next question says I just hit my 19th week mark and opted to not Do genetic screening I figured my baby will come the way God intended him to.
What’S your take on it now, after carrying out your last pregnancy, knowing her condition, so you guys know I actually already did going for some genetic testing and then I’m going in for more genetic testing for this baby. So I personally would want to know as soon as possible if something is wrong with this baby. That way we can prepare and we can take the necessary steps to possibly bring home this baby.
So I personally would want to know as soon as possible. I liked knowing everything about Everly as early as we found out, I did find out everything at the ten-week mark with her, so I liked knowing early, because I was able to mentally prepare myself for the possibility of not bringing air home. I was mentally able to prepare myself for possibly bringing home a baby with medical conditions, so I liked knowing that way.
I was fully prepared of what’s to come. Another thing, too, is I liked the fact that I was able to talk to my kids about everything, because I feel like we were able to go through all of the feelings over time during my pregnancy, rather than not knowing, and then I gave birth to Everly And she passed away and then my kids would be extremely confused and I feel like that would have hurt them more because we wouldn’t have had time to process things.
We wouldn’t have had time to talk about things as a family. Are you staying with the same doctors as you had with Everly? No, we are not a lot of people. Ask me why we switch doctors and it’s because my doctors with Everly are about a three-hour drive away. So that’s just not doable, especially if I were to go into labor. That is way too long of a drive, so you guys kept up with my articles during that time, when I was pregnant with Everly, I was living with my mom because we are military family.
We were in the middle of moving states, we were in the middle of moving from Hawaii to California and I needed to get the proper care and doctors for Everly. So I ended up moving down to California. First, with the girls – and I was living with my mom for a few months, while Benny was wrapping up everything in Hawaii and then we had to find like a house when he was finally in California. So it was a really crazy time for us.
So now that we are living in our own house, I don’t go to those same doctors because they’re so far away are the Kogan 19 limitations going to affect your delivery? So my delivery is still months from now towards the end of the year. My due date is October 30th, so we haven’t even talked about labor and delivery. Yet so I’m not sure why did you have such an early glucose test? Do you have a history of Gd? No, I do not my dog there’s just taking extra precautions with everything that happened with every li.
So that’s why I had my glucose test done early, just to make sure that it comes back normal just to give us peace of mind. So, that’s why I had it super early. Do you feel any guilt getting pregnant so fast after Evy um? No, I don’t and honestly I feel, like we didn’t get pregnant super fast. Everly would have been eight months going on nine months, so I don’t think we got pregnant superfast. Will you incorporate every Lee’s name into the new baby’s name? I think this question is a little odd, so does Benny.
He thinks it’s a little odd, too um, even though Everly is not physically in our arms. She is still her own person like she is still our child, so just like our other two daughters have their own separate names. Everly is going to have her own separate name too. So no, this new baby, it’s not going to have a release first name or middle knee if you find out you’re having a boy, are y’all done, having kids for good.
So this is another question that I find a little odd. We are not having more kids for the sake of trying to have a boy like we’re having more kids just for the fact that we want more kids. So, even if this is a boy, there’s still possibility that we may want more kids in the future like just because we get our boy doesn’t mean yep. We’Re done we’re we’re good. Now, will you be doing pregnancy updates and a birth bug? Yes and yes, I love looking back at all of my pregnancy articles with Everly.
I love having those on my blog. I wish I started my youtube blog sooner. That way, I could have all of Layla’s pregnancy updates on here and Aurora’s pregnancy updates, but unfortunately I didn’t start my blog sooner like I wanted to. But yes, I will try to document as much as I can with this baby, because I love having all of those memories look back on. How does it feel to be pregnant again after a really a lot of emotions? I’M happy! I’M excited, I’m scared, I’m nervous.
It’S just a lot of emotions some days, I’m more scared than excited other days, I’m more excited than scared, it just it’s a lot of emotions, but overall, I’m so thankful and blessed to be pregnant again after going through a loss like that, you start to realize That no pregnancy is guaranteed to go all the way to the end, you’re not guaranteed a baby. At the end, sorry, I don’t want to get all choked up here, but after going through a loss like that, you just realize, even though you’re pregnant again you’re not guaranteed to leave the hospital with full arms.
So some days I am scared, but, like I said, I try not to dwell on those thoughts, so I’m just taking it one day at a time and I’m just trying to celebrate this pregnancy as much as I can and I’m just blessed every single day that Passes with this little baby, alright guys well, that is it for this Q & A that is all the questions that I’m going to be answering Trey. Is Twitter the only thing you need?
I don't think so! There are a ton of opportunities for you in the digital world. The best bet is to hire a pro.
Well, it is any question still a lot of teachers and education personnel are asking themselves that very question. In one fashion or another I mean it did help in getting rid of a dictator in Egypt, but what purpose can Twitter or micro blogging can possibly serve in education? You might ask yourself how something written in 140 characters or less can be interesting and relevant to education or your pedagogical practice.
Surprisingly, it is often enough to get us interested in reading more by following a link to start a conversation or to get us thinking about something new and that’s just by following a few people who tweet you don’t have to tweet a peep. Just as you don’t have to read all the blogs on TV, you pick and choose whose tweets you want to read. If someone’s overwhelming you with pointless tweets, you can choose not to follow that person anymore.
I think you’re better off following a few interesting people on Twitter who tweet mainly about one subject in our case education, you can also search the whole Twitter sphere for subjects you find more relevant. For example, the edchat hashtag is used for discussions on education. I for one and the professional Twitter user, not that I get paid to create in red ibly. What I mean is that the only things I do tweet have to do with education discussion that happens to be my job.
I use Twitter to link to some interesting articles, articles presentations and every once in a while. I tweet pedagogically focused epiphanies or questions to spark a discussion. I tweet parsimoniously a few times a week. Perhaps so. People who follow me are never swamped by what I think is tweeted. I keep things tidy by using Facebook for my personal stuff and Twitter for professional matters, and since I follow some very interesting tweeter Oddie’s, I also retweet some of what they have to say.
This is, of course, an amazing strength of micro blogging. Not only does your network of interesting people feed you with good ideas, epiphanies questions, discussions and references, but these tweets can also be shared from one network to another and another and another feel like sharing something but worried that the 140 character limit will cramp your literary Style, yes, it might seem like a big constraint, but it certainly is way easier than Shakespearean.
Iambic pentameter and nobody said you couldn’t tweet a few times in a row if need be, try it after a while you’ll, probably discover that we also need fewer than a hundred and forty characters to convey something of value to other people. And what about your learning? Should they tweet as well? Well, if access to technology was as ubiquitous in schools as it is in real life, I’d say they could pretty much use Twitter.
The same way I’ve just described for teachers, then again, I’m not convinced that it’s really easy to find Twitter users who tweet about math or language or other school related topics for learners. It could eventually happen mind you, one very different way Twitter can be used is for back-blog activities. This is when you let people share their thoughts as you are presenting something, and on top of that, there are some learning activities that make interesting use of Twitter Tim Burton’s, Kodama X key is an excellent example of that, so to tweet or not to tweet.

So let me give you an example, so let’s say I’m looking for a camera to buy and I’m confused between which one to get – and this is between maybe a Canon and a Sony, and you write an article, an extensive article where you talk about the benefits Of this one versus the other and then give your verdict at the end of it, so this could be an easier way for me to do the actual research myself because you’ve done it.
For me, another example is, let’s say makeup. So, if you’re, if you want to talk about makeup, you could actually make a lot of tutorials on how you do your makeup and based on how it comes out. People may be interested in actually buying the makeup because they want to have the same sort of style. The same look that you actually have so having these type of articles can help. You grow your affiliate marketing business all right so right now, I’m just going to give you an a quick example on how you can actually do this on your own website.
So creating a blog is very, very easy. In fact, if you want to learn how to create a basic WordPress website, I have a course which is absolutely free. The links to that is in the description below. So it’s a free wordpress course. This is the best way to get started on having your own website. So the example I’m giving you here is you creating your own blog? So we’re going to pretend that this is your actual text. That’S going to come over here on your website, okay, so I’m going to paste it! So that means that in your spare time or whatever time you can start creating tutorials, you can start creating how-to articles on how to do photography.
So in most cases, people want to see the tools that you’re actually using in order for you to achieve the results that you are, you are getting. So this is where you list all your your items that you use. So what I’ve also done here, because I create a lot of YouTube tutorials. So this is how you do Amazon, affiliate marketing and I highly recommend that you do it this way. But the most important thing here is to build an audience. So there’s several platforms, there’s YouTube. You can create just YouTube articles, giving your reviews talking about your content. You can actually have Instagram, so Instagram is more to do with images, but you also have articles in there, so you want to create or build an audience there and then direct them to the products that you recommend.
Another platform that you could also use is Facebook, so if you create a Facebook page, you can actually use Facebook as well and recommend all your products that you do so these are the tips. If you sell on Amazon, you know that dealing with Amazon seller support is a nightmare. They are incompetent, they are foolish, they don’t want to help, but because we got to play by their rules by Bezos in his gosh-darn unfair system. Did I make money on? We got ta do what they say and we got a fine tips to get around all this nonsense.
So here’s a few tips that I do the first overall tip is to bookmark seller support on your computer when you go through on the desktop. It’S like. Oh, have you answered our questions yet and they want you to fill in this stupid like automated FAQ flow? Were you like? Have you selected these articles to read like yeah? No, I know what the rules are Jeff. I know how to work this game bookmark. The page, you can totally circumvent that and you go to this other page where it has all your options.
It’S like FBA issues or account issues or make a suggestion if you’re feeling feeling kind, but I bookmark that page right here. It just says contact social support. So I can just click there and go to it. The second thing I do is I mean after having telling you that bookmark it I wait like a week. I always wait as long as I can. You know until I’m going to forget it or until I’m doing like a badge of reimbursements, that I want to do because it takes Amazon like 45 days, sometimes to get a refund, and I would rather wait for the money then spend five hours a day.
Complaining with someone across the world, but it just is frustrating and doesn’t really help. The third thing that I do to kind of work with this with this torturous system of customer service seller service, whatever it is seller support, is to call them if you’re. Like me, you absolutely despise talking to strangers who know nothing just I can stop right there, but on the phone you hate that, and so you hate phone calls with people who obviously are just reading off of a script.
It’S uh: it’s frustrating to know that someone does not give a about you, but only when they say they do like I’m fine, I’m like sorry. I can’t do anything, I’m an idiot who makes $ 3 an hour reading off cue cards. Okay, I can deal with them, but just don’t be like. Oh sorry, we’re trying to best support you and then, when you ask them a question they can so they go okay and then go on to their next talking point.
It’S so so frustrating so when I call I say, listen, I know you can’t help me. It’S not your fault. Give me your supervisor and that’s like a really shitty move because of things of like oh you’re, like some suburban mom. Let me tell you this: getting a cold chick-fil-a sandwich and someone taking two grand from me. Those are two different levels and I think it warrants talking to a supervisor. If you owe me $ 2,000, is that crazy in my wild? To my out of my mind? No, I’m not I just like getting my money, so I sake I talk to a supervisor, they say oh we’re busy and they call you back like the same day or the next day, and almost always those supervisors are are really helpful because they actually are our Capable of independent thought, the fourth tip always keep these.
This is like the return slip that I got in the box of one of these boxes. You see back here. I got a bunch of returns a day because I get them on the middle of the month. They’Re actually from the 10th, but whatever there’s no point these. This has the item name, it has the FN SKU and it has everything important that they’re going to ask you they’re going to say: okay, do you have the shipment ID? Do you have the order ID? The order ID isn’t actually on here, but you can easily find that by going into your orders and just typing in the FNS Q, which is going to be this number right here, it begins with the X and then a few zeros whoops.
I keep going to this Creek, let’s say: you’ve navigated, all the you’re. Finally, on the phone with someone who is competent and understands like how things work beyond just reading them off of a script, they’ve been given they’re going to say: oh, this is so shitty, I’m so sorry, bla bla, bla, bla bla. You have any pictures boy. Do I have pictures because I got a phone win so whenever I get these returns and they’re damaged I’ll show you what happened? I’M just going to show you pause.
I sold this. It’S a Sony DVD CD player, whatever that’s and the point. Look at that. It’S broken in the corner, it’s broken in the corner. Do you know how that happens? It happens from some goddamn moron and Amazon FBA fulfillment center, putting like one thing of an air pack or like two inches of a void filler in the box, and so it slides around the box smashes the quarter and it breaks that’s how this happens and the Only person who will believe you is a supervisor crazy.
Isn’T that crazy, but that’s how Amazon works and you just have to be. You know, reading people like me who get upset learning all this and then uh. You know you can do it yourself and just do all these steps. To recap: wait! Bookmark, seller support. Have them call you or call them well, they’re, going to call you back. That’S what’s good! That’S how it goes. You give me phone number. They call you back because they don’t want you having their phone number.
They call you ask for a supervisor. What they’re going to do then, is open. The case you go to the case on your view case page, you upload pictures to that. That’S how it works. I mean they’d, explain it to you, but it takes them three hours. Probably so I’ll just tell you right now, straightforward upload pictures and at that point you’re just in their their hands. You know it’s um. Are they going to believe you and believe in common sense, or are they going to screw over and try and get 80 bucks out of you or whatever? It is for this I mean, there’s way way way more items in just this – that I have that have been damaged over the past two weeks but hard doing business.
Everything has its ups and downs, everything has trials and tribulations and the people who can successfully navigate those they’re, the ones who end up making money and you want to make money.
