When people read you on article, they feel like they know you that step number one. So you don’t just want to be talking about your subject all the time, because that could become a bit monotonous and people really want to get to know who the person is behind the brand. So people want to know who you are. This is a great way of using blogs and article logs to get your creativity flowing so every now and again just chuck in something that is just getting your personality across, and it might be, for example, like miles, and I will take Bonnie for a walk over At the local park and we’ll think I know actually we could do a article on this.
You know we’ll be talking with so why don’t we do a article on that and we’ll just literally get our iPhone and start recording and you may have seen it already. You know throwing the frisbee for body in the background and you know, and that’s just you know, I think that when you are getting your communication across on a daily basis, you’re building friendships and you’re building rapport, so people want to see who you are behind the Brand and not just who you are on the face of the brand all the time so use your blogs and your article logs to be creative and have some fun with it.
So what other hobbies do you have? It’s like 8 o’clock, but I am so tired, Doyle’s behind me doing his Doyle dog things and I’ve just been jamming on my planner I readed. This is us because I missed it yesterday, because I had my hair appointment, so I wasn’t able to read it. So I just readed it like you know, NBC calm or whatever they have the episodes up afterwards.
I ordered some shoes on Amazon which will be here this weekend because, sadly, I actually already threw them away. My gray superga sneakers, like completely broke yesterday, like it was bad, like the part of the heel, came off on one of the shoes, as I was like trying to slip them off. I’m like what the heck and then I looked at the other one and the other one was all ratted up there to him like okay.
Clearly, these shoes have seen better days. It is time – and I was debating I’m like well, could I donate them or something? I’m like no they’re they’re beyond repairs, Oh anyway, yeah, so those needed to just go away. So I ended up buying the same super goes again and then I had these tennis shoes. I think they were adidas tennis, shoes, they’re, not very expensive, but I had them in my cart or like my wish list for a long time, and I’m like, I should just get those and try them on because the those ones like whoever the seller is.
It’s free returns like back, so I don’t to pay for shipping back, so I’m like well. If they don’t fit or I don’t like them, then whatever what else did I get it? Oh, I got furnace filters, but that’s exciting, but yeah. What else did I get? Oh and I also got a humidifier for my room, so I needed to grab one of those, so I did I just I was trying to get the cheap ones like the $ 20 ones because they tend to get all gunky like, even though I clean them.
It doesn’t matter so it’s like at the end of the season because I use it every single night. It just gets really gross, so I don’t know of a good way to clean them. I’m sure, there’s probably like YouTube article. I should probably read or something but I live in Minnesota and it’s really cold here and I’m constantly like outside walking the dog and all that good stuff. So it’s like going from warm to cold to cold, warm and all that good stuff, and it’s not good for the skin either so anyway, while I was reading, this is us.
I was jamming on my planner, so, as a bunch of things have changed due to me not having surgery tomorrow and then my mom not coming in today, which is unfortunate, but she changed her flight, so we’re good to go um yeah, so I just jammed on My planner and then this Friday I have an oil change, so this is like. Let me give you a better view, so that is my first half right there. So anyway got a bunch of stuff done.
This first half of the week got my hair done. What a girls night with some friends um this my tubal had to get rescheduled, so I had to talk to them about a different time. I talked to my mom also my pH test, which is supposed to be on the 30th, isn’t happening then, because I have my surgery on the 31st and I can’t have my pH test like still inserted in me. It’s a time so anyway, so yeah had a lot of good things and then this is today did a bunch of stuff.
We had cake day obsolete folder. My client, I cleaned like my cube, and then this is kind of what I’ve done. Oh and then I had an Instagram winner as well. I am currently giving away a simply gilded little pack of stuff. I typically do that. Every single time that I get a subscription box, like whatever I don’t, whatever, whatever I won’t, keep and use, I will gift to somebody else and I held the held it on Instagram.
I always hold on Instagram. So if you guys ever want to follow me it’s down below but um, I have a winner and I just sent them a message like maybe five minutes ago. So you’ve always got 24 hours to contact me back with their information and then, unfortunately, if they don’t contact them back within 24 hours, then I have to move on to a new winner. So um yeah, it’s just really all I’ve been doing yeah a headache is still there.
I know a lot of you are going to ask. The headache is still there. It never really goes away anymore, but you know I’m powering through trying to take just some advil and not take my crazy migraine medicine but um yeah. It’s it’s! It’s not going great, but you know I’m going to try to have a good attitude about it and power through guys. You just sometimes just got ta try to power through, and sometimes it really sucks, but you got to do it, but anyway, I’m just going to do this.

Without doing any of these things – and I lost a lot of opportunities to make money and to just get out there and meet other people doing the same thing as I am as I was doing so get rid of you guys, because I’m about to show you The five things that you need to know about, if you’re, just starting out on the world wide web, let’s get started. Ok, you guys here we go so the very first thing that I recommend, if you are starting on the world wide web, doing anything regarding the public is that you create a landing page.
If you do not have a website, if you have a website even better, but I’m starting, let’s say from the beginning, if you were just starting out and all you have – are your social media sites, I recommend that you create a landing page or a web site, But I’m not going to get into the whole website thing, I’m just going to give you the basics of a landing page for a landing page. I recommend that you use MailChimp.
It is free. You can create landing pages with MailChimp, as you can see here, and you can create beautiful pages like you can see here in just a few minutes. So the next thing that you need to do is you need to create your email list right. That is so so important you guys when you are working with the public. It is important to start getting your own contacts, don’t just depend on Facebook or YouTube or Instagram or LinkedIn, because all these things can one day disappear, and then you have lost every single contact that you’ve made every single connection that you have made, but with an Email list – this is yours, it is priceless right, so you use MailChimp to create a landing page use MailChimp to create a to start.
Creating your email list, one of the best ways to start getting people to sign up to your email list, is to give something away for free. So whatever John Wright you’re in, I recommend that you let’s go here. I recommend that you use canva with canva. You can create all kinds of goodies to give away to your audience as an incentive for them to sign up to your email list. You can create anything that attracts them in your in your niche.
So if you’re, a writer, maybe you can do a checklist of things to do for like say, NaNoWriMo, that’s coming up. If you are in the cooking industry, you can do a recipe and tell them to to sign up to your email list to get the full recipe and maybe five more and you can create all these beautiful things with canva and canva is free, oh, and so Is MailChimp by the way, all free? So, as you can see here, I use canva for everything I create my quotes here with for Instagram, I create my trackers.
I create an outline anything that I want to give away to my audience. I created first in canva and then I lose load it onto my email program here with MailChimp and when someone signs up to my email list, they get a beautiful PDF. The next thing that I recommend that you do is that you sign up with the affiliate programs with Amazon or Target or any any of these big companies that you can sign up.
They pretty much. Let everybody sign up. I’ve never heard of anybody not being able to sign up, so I think you’re definitely a shoo-in, but what I mean by this four years for five years, I was blogging and I was recommending products and books for my audience to read and I never got a Penny for any of it when you join with the affiliate program with Amazon or Target, and you recommend a duck a product and they that person clicks on that link.
Let’s say you’re recommending a book and they click on the link and they buy that book. You get a commission for it, so don’t don’t don’t not do this, you guys it’s so important. Even every little penny counts as you’re growing in the industry. Okay. The next thing I recommend that you do is that you join Facebook groups, so many different Facebook groups, like you, can see here. I have author youtubers when I post a article on YouTube.
I can share it here. A little side note here, not every single group that you join, will let you post on their group, but a lot of them do so. For example, when I joined author youtubers, I can post my youtube articles here that I upload to YouTube and let them know hey, I just uploaded a article. I would love for you guys to check it out if you’re looking for this or that or whatever my topic may be another one here.
When I blog I can share my blog on this blog live on this other one. That’s called share your blog post and I don’t blog family getting noticed blog support group also see like power of thought. I can share it there I can share, and so my con aren’t so many Facebook groups that I had no idea that I could do this. You do this. Furthermore, you can post your books and your promotions on these other groups.
Kindle reading club. You can share it on these free, Kindle books, book marketing, free Kindles book, Kindle publishers when you’re running a promotion on your books. You can post it here and that’s more people that get to know about you and your book and people that are actually interested in either your topic or the kinds of books that you’re talking about or Kindle or whatever it is so yeah. You guys.

I’ve been home for a little while – and I am just kidding well I’m on my computer right now, but I’m getting stuff ready for the electrician. He is coming over tomorrow morning at 6:30 and I am replacing that fan with this fan. But what I’m doing is I’m actually pulling out all the components and I’m I cleared this thing off there, so I’m going to put everything up here.
So it’s just so much easier for him. He doesn’t have to waste his time. You know opening up boxes and stuff so yeah. I am replacing the light also in the closet and also the same light in the master closet and then in the master. Bedroom. It’ll. Be a very similar fan as well. They didn’t have the same like I wanted the same fan in the master as here, but they didn’t have it like. They only had one I’m like wow, it’s weird and then like.
I think it was like a discontinued one or something but anyway whatevs so yeah and then um. Sorry, I’m looking at an email or the there’s a fan with like a long tube or whatever in the lofted area kind of I don’t know. I guess it’s more in the kitchen, if you will, I don’t know it’s in a weird spot, but anyways um that one I love that fan. But again it’s just like the plain white one and I wanted, like all the fans to kind of be cohesive, so that one’s getting changed as well, and then I’ve got a couple of things in the garage that I need them to change out.
So anyway. Tomorrow is an electric day and I will be working from home in the morning and then her running to the office after that, so yeah, that’s kind of what’s going on here, I’m like looking at things. I mean vlogging, multitasking, guys multitasking. So I am somebody from work friend work to me. He must be real friends now all right and then oh. I was going to look at this okay, so I have a meet-up this weekend, but I wasn’t sure it was Saturday or Sunday I’m like.

I have a remote for my garage so that it’s going to get done as well and then this light, that’s the Patriot lighting. I got everything at Menards, which is like a local hardware store in Minnesota.
I don’t know if they have them all over the place, but they do have menards.Com and yeah. This is the light. I got it’s a very fancy and this is the same light that is in the hallway downstairs, as well as the hallway upstairs. So anyway, it’s like a hallway light, and now I’m going to be a closet light. So let me show you what I’m replacing in here: it’s just basic lights, I don’t know, there’s a very yellow – and I really like this one.
It’s an LED one, so it doesn’t need any light bulbs or anything like that Wow. I just look really red um. So yeah, I don’t know, I just think that the light quality is going to be so much better and so much brighter, and that’s what I’m looking for so yeah these these little bad boys and then, where is so? I bought this thing on the Internet. Now let me take this down with me because I need this I bought.
Where is it um, so my uncle, unfortunately ruined my? What is it called? You know like the garage door, opener, that’s on the wall. He somehow magically ruin that. Oh I have there. It is I was like where is that day, so I’m going to put this oh and then here is the dismantled one that I just took out of the box. That’s going to go right there, that’s right, it’s going to go and that one’s going to have a light in it as well, and all of the fans that I got, because I guess we’re now in the modern age have remotes, so that’s exciting.
So anyway, the little you know like the little pad that’s on the door or not the door, but the wall in your garage. I don’t know he hit it and then it got ruined a piece broke off. So then, now I have a different one to be installed as well, so I figured they were doing that I wanted an another garage remote which probably took him like two seconds to put together. So this is all my electrical things, but I think I’m just going to do the one take vlog here, because I have a bunch of stuff to do.
I mean I just have to like unbox some things and whatever, and it’s already like 8:30 anyway. Doyle, dog is over there judging the world and my battery light just started flashing, so I’ve clearly been talking for a little too long, and I haven’t changed my battery in a couple of days, oopsies so yeah, but I will take you guys along tomorrow. Tomorrow’s vlog will actually be probably a little bit interesting because I am going to be home and I just might pick up the camera and like do like one-minute check-ins and just like show you.

I think I only need a gmail account, but what you do is you’ll insert that phrase in here. The matter be 2016, spain and landing page will be that page with the article on it. So we want to go. You just copy it out the browser’s just slightly out off the window at the top and this traveling tourism. So we go down a traveling tourism, just click it on that. You can actually go a bit further, but I’m just trying to do this quickly, so we tell it to go and get some ideas and what it’s doing is it’s searching for keywords that are relevant to those words and it will come back with some suggestions.
So here we are, you’ve got two ways to do this. The first one is the Apple II average month searches and then the other one is on price. So, as you can see here, this may only make and I’m sorry this one here and it makes one dollar 78 @ 1 pound 78, but it gets over 15,000 views so cost a blank is quite important. So the matter, costa blanca, would be a better phrase of word for a bigger monthly search.

So the fact is what I would probably do is cost a blanket but still get picked up with we’re. Sorry, I put cost of lankan the matter, but it’ll still pick up Kosta Blanco anyway, because although it’s got the matter, what happens? Is it just sees that bit in the Google search anyway? So I’m not really fussed on that, but if we go back to our YouTube article, we’re now add Kosta, blanker lemaitre Beach 2016 Spade now you can see about all the key words here you see.
I picked up toya Becca already 2016, because I know these are things people looking for. They don’t want articles from five years ago, they’re looking for the latest ones, and here’s a few about Spanish life because obviously got the kids and wife with me. But if we go into the keyword planner, this is where you still find these words, because they’re still here cost uh Blanca beaches there’s another nice one doesn’t get a lot of searches, though so maybe I’ve got better something better put Kosta Blanco.
Actually, I didn’t put costa blanca in the keywords that I am on my tags, so I put that down here, see now I’ve added that that’s another good one. So that’s how you find your keywords and you slop them in not only on their in there, but also in the conversation. So what you want to try and do is put them in here naturally, so I’m could have rewrite this. But it’s difficult for me to talk and rewrite at the same time, but what you want to try and do is say: insert cost the Blanco into this conversation.

I do that as well, but that’s predominantly because I’m trying to mix people when I first start the blog with my other websites and things because there’s more information, the stuff I’ve already talked about before which on those sites.
Ideally, if you slice huge, do that, because you’ve already got the traffic getting generated through the sheer volume of your subscribers. But if you’re just starting off you’re better off without any of extra stuff in there and concentrating on a good article. Almost because the these things get read by Google separately – and I know some people actually use their transcription from the text actually said in the article and then convert that into an article.
That’s fine as well, because it’s actually relevant it’s correct, but me walk along the beach. Obviously, it’s not going to be a lot of texts. There is there, because I’m just talking about the stuff that I see, but it it doesn’t translate into a good article. What does is talking about the beach in the sense that we’re going to the beach for the day, blah blah blah and ideally in life, says you want to focus on things that make your title stand out and I’m most relevant, make sure you’ve got at least 150 words, and it’s an article almost and the next thing is all your keywords.
Ideally, you do not want to sorry your tags, you don’t want any more than 10, so what I always do once I’ve actually prepared it. I quickly count 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. So I look at that and go okay. That will have to go. Google seem to like 10. I don’t know why it just does, and this is part of the SEO once you’ve done this bit. Just click on the save – you may even put your name in here because I know a lot of people search for my name so once that saved I’ll, just we’ll talk about something else, you’ve got these annotations cards.
Subtitles, let’s go here. We go to the subtitle. One first, with subtitles can closed captions. What you can do is translate it well, firstly, transcribe it into English or whatever language you are doing this article in and then you can get translated into other languages. It’s not going to be perfect, but at the same time the more is translated, the more chance you’ve got of meeting other subscribers, for example.
Here I am in spain. Obviously, I’ve got the entire Latin world that may be interested in Spain and some form. So from that point of view, it is worth translating this from english into spanish into russian, because we have a lot of russian tourists. Norwegian, Dutch, French, because we’re in a tourist area it is worth transcribing. Those google will have a tool for doing that now and I think they actually charge people for doing the translations.
But the main thing is to add new subtitles. You just put it on the side here. So let’s just click your english, united kingdom. I just wait for that to load. So then it will ask you: are you going to upload it? There is software out there can cover that end of the article actually to scram, transcribe and auto-sync, or create a new subtitles or closed caption. So, let’s click on this one transcribe and auto-sync.
This is where I’ll do it automatically? I think this one is the 1i. Normally is great new subtitle or closed caption, so what you have is the article is now going to load and you type the text as you hear it up here on the on the right. So as I speak, let’s find the word with me. Actually speaking so there’s the first bit we are down to the beach today and then all you do is click the plus and just check it in the right space.
So go back a little bit. You should let slide this back and it’s as simple as that. Once you’ve done all the article, you then save it, click, publish and away. You go. That’s something a lot of people don’t do, but it is quite useful for people that are hard of hearing or completely deaf, as well as people wanted to learn. I don’t know the language find it easier with subtitles, so there’s multiple reasons that this is quite a useful tool to use.
So we’ll leave that where it is at the moment and what we want to do is go over to cards because obviously I’m not going to sit and transcribe this entire article. While you SAT reading me so here’s cards, what is a card? So we know this article is about costa blanca LaMotta beach, and what you can do is add cards to it and now a card you can promote a article or playlist another blog. You could add a poll.
A link to an approved website so, like here, says spanish life and tourism. If I click on it, oh look, it’s my alicante, spain blog. It’s already been added to it. That’s a card and all you do. Is you just go ad card article? I playlist. I blog and then all you do, is you go up here? This is where my other blog is, when you load the blog for the main blog page, take the link out of the youtube window at the top, and then what you want to do is just drop it straight in here, then, you just put a custom message And that’s pretty much it and once once it’s in there you can see alicante spain blog and then it comes up with all the information relating to that blog, so that people aware they can go and have a look at it and get more information.
This is another useful way for getting people to hop onto other articles. Are the blogs, etc, etc, but it doesn’t just stop there we’re now going to go over to annotations so with this they’re actually inserted in the timeline, so I’m going to add an annotation. Let’s have a speech bubble type or no. Let’s have a note so we’ll leave that up there put it the shape you want and we’re going to link it to another article.
This article here is the pink lakes in Tribeca, so we can take that pink salt, lake’s silliness. Take that and then we’ll put that as the text. So people can actually click on that and it will take them to that article, which is obviously relevant to what the reading, because they’re, both in the matter toy, bear high area and we want to open in another article because I’m actually want them. To close this article down, but as you can see on the timeline, it’s only at the beginning here, so it’s a certain point.
It will actually switch off. So there is no like to try and let’s turn the audio, try and put it a near the beginning, but be let it go aways. They could click on that and i’ll open up in another window. They don’t actually have to close this one down, but they could all continue through the article and hopefully they’ve already opened it, but you could pull it the end. It could be other stuff relevant as you go along, for example, maybe i’ll well, it did.
I talked about the camper vans here you could put a link willing to camping in Spain or whatever, whatever you’ve got relevant. This is how you interweave your articles with each other, so that they’re all relevant with what you’re doing and make it more experience for the person subscribing and reading your articles, making it more interesting. So we’re just going to apply those changes. So now that is actually saves near the beginning, and if we go to enhancements or something it’s something we need to do on this, that’s pretty much it so we’ll go over to you can do some auto fixes and stuff it youtube can do some weird stuff To your article is now and again, though, as you can see, I’ve now changed to cross the blanket.
I did a cosplayer there, which is the main thing and obviously i’ve got these little bits added into the article. So we save that it’s already been done and we actually want to go and have a look at the article itself. So the article is now playing as you can see, I’ve turned the audio off for obvious reasons. There’s the bit we added earlier and up here on the right: we click on this one. It takes you to the other, candy blog they’re, not obtrusive.
This is the main thing these ads are at you too, but that’s part of getting you revenue, it’s nothing and do about that. But the the main thing is here: people can actually go. Oh I’ll, have a quick look at that and then pull it away out. The way it’s not in their face and the other one is not up there for ages, so you’re giving them more of an experience without actually having to do too much that is going to irritate.
Then you have all these bits and pieces. If I did the caption and translations, then obviously you should be able to see where I closed captions here, you can actually want to set up it’ll, actually give you the option to actually read it with the closed captions on all these things are very useful for Your YouTube blog – and I says you interweave it also you want to link in through your websites and stuff and which I’ll cover in another topic.
