The First Rule of Marketing Online

So I usually wear a seersucker shirt, but I wanted to record this real quick for my daily vlog, because here’s the deal whatever idea you ever have in life number one obstacle will be marketing it, because humans have a natural aversion to anything new.

That’s why brands? Like coca-cola keep winning, because if you come up with a soda, nobody naturally trusts it until it’s been proven over and over. So marketing becomes the key to anything, no matter how great your idea, if you’re an artist musician, social media person, entrepreneur online entrepreneur, you’ve got pizza, restaurant, you know whatever it is, you have to acquire clients and keep them happy, and so here’s the number one rule That everyone forgets don’t market narcissistically.

What I mean by that is don’t market, something that only you’re interested in, and I know that sounds so obvious people are like. I already know that time, but not really people don’t really understand the extent to which I’m talking about. Ah, I’m walking here’s a little cooler that are light. People understand the extent to which our brain will naturally build our marketing on narcissistically selfishly.

So, let’s just take an example, I saw the other day this mattress commercial, you seen those ever late at night. Look how nice it is out today they call this the magic hour because the lights real nice, but this mattress commercial, has the owner and he’s not very good he’s, not very good on camera and he’s there talking about why you should buy a mattress from him And I was thinking dude, nobody really wants to see.

You like you know, you’re, not good, at doing your commercial. Why don’t you stay behind the scenes? And I know why? Because he thought it would be cool for him to market himself in that way, but much better to make a persuasive marketing piece. You know commercial, you don’t see the shirt, you don’t see the CEO of coca-cola in all the commercials. Now there is a time if you’re good on camera, you can use your own.

You know you can use your own images, your own articles, but that was just an example that came to mind. I was thinking who’s, this guy building the marketing for himself and at the end of the day, if you build your market for yourself, you’re going to be broke period. So how do you get into the minds of people? That’s what it really comes down to and I’ll tell you. The simplest way to get into the minds of potential customers is to do rapid experimenting, Rapide Rapide Rapide.

You know I did some of you have seen some of my youtube articles that woman viral and they’ve had. I just looked check my stats in the last year year and a half did 540 million minutes readed. It’s a lot YouTube told me. They won’t tell me if it’s the most, but it’s a lot half a billion minutes, not just views minutes and part of that paid advertising and part of that virality. There’s a formula I’ll talk about that another article.

But when I first made my very first article, I even won with the Lamborghini. It didn’t not that many people liked it. It was me and Jeremy just driving around and it wasn’t that persuasive of marketing. So you know maybe got a hundred thousand views versus the other. One got over 100 million and I was in Paris. I shot that one first, one that did not go viral and I went to Paris for New Year’s and then I came back and I was like.

Let me just keep experimenting, get inside the mind of people, but instead of me presupposing. I knew what was inside the line. I built some rapid test. I record about 20 30 more tests, and one of them was the here in my garage article, which was kind of the beginning of a lot of the social media articles that I did and that one’s gotten no one knows exactly how many people viewed it. Maybe 100 million people globally lot 50 to 100, probably more but I’ll be conservative with that and that came from rapid experimentation.

I experimented that whole process was in two months. I did enough experimenting, so if you can experiment, then you won’t build this selfish narcissistic marketing. That just doesn’t work much time. You read TV you’ll, see it all day long and then you’ll see those few commercials that really catch your attention, so whatever you’re trying to market get inside through rapid experimentation. I was talking to.

I got a guy, a friend of mine, kind of a were loosely affiliated and his name is Adrian Morrison and he built out a system what he does. He goes on Facebook and he just like rapidly experiments products that people want to buy. He does Facebook advertising a different internet advertising and he discovers through a process of trial and error, but rapid trial and error what people want to buy and he can build businesses extremely quickly.

You know ecommerce businesses, someone will make whatever thousand bucks a month. Ten thousand and fifty thousand I don’t know the numbers are fairly big. I mean he’s out making 100 million bucks a year, but it’s making seven figures. Maybe eight, I’m not sure I’ll have to ask him. His exact numbers doesn’t matter, makes a good living just selling. All kinds of stuff that you wouldn’t think that necessarily it would be able to make that much money, but he does and he actually wrote a book, I’m going to put a link to his book.

He I got him to give a free download of it. It’s like how to build a profitable ecommerce business and it’s this whole system of testing. A lot of you asked me for how to stuff and the daily vlog is more just general advice. I don’t have time to always lay it all out, especially because I got to leave in a second but I’ll. Put a link now he’s going to take this link down. I got him to put it up for much for how many more days, but a few more days.

I got him to give it away. You can get the e-book free, so he can read all the stuff and he also has a link for a workshop. You can read, I told him, I’d, be an affiliate for it because he’s done some stuff for me on Facebook marketing, because I do a lot more on other blogs, but he really helped me with getting my Facebook marketing up. We work with them every week, just giving tips and advice so he’s helping me.

I can tell you that, and so maybe it’ll help you out there’ll, be a link somewhere here, annotation or below click that link get his free ebook, it’s completely free and then you can sign up for the free workshop. He has a paid version of it, but you don’t have to do that. If you don’t want, you could just get the free stuff and then for those of you really interested. I think he has a link to some paid more advanced program but start with the free stuff check get out and just remember whatever you’re trying to do.

You must be a marketing guru, a marketing master. You must understand persuasion. You must understand the mindset of your target market and very few people can do this, but those who can get a huge reward so wish you luck on what you’re trying to do trust me. I’ve been in the marketing game, my first mentor, Joel Salatin, was a direct marketer. I was 19 years old, I’ve been learning and learning. You know from mentors all different type of mentors that first mentor and I was a 19 Joel Salatin and on and on and on and go everybody I meet.

Who knows a thing or two about marketing, I’m picking their brain. Tell me I’m showing up at their conferences I’m looking at their online. You know I read you know. I read a book a day, I’m reading books, I’m investigating I’m reading TV commercials, I’m reading and clicking on internet banners trying to re reverse-engineer what the heck it is. These guys are doing and – and I look at celebrities – look at how Oprah mark yourself now Ellen Ellen DeGeneres Show you know dj khaled now killing it on snapchat I read movie stuff on office.

I was in a movie yesterday pop star that big movie – Andy Samberg, came out funny as hell. If you read my snapchat, I posted it, but I readed how they marketed that thing. Judd Apatow is a genius. He did trainwreck so make yourself a follower and a seeker of every marketing technique and tip, as you could ever come up with marketing. It’s not cheesy, marking his way of persuading people if you’re selling something good to do what’s in their best interest.

I’r so happy thankful that there’s good marketing out there, especially for good stuff. You know like this Rolls Royce. I just got it’s Branson custom. Look at 11 miles. Just came off the boat, the go series it’s on my snapchat and stuff um. I wasn’t going to get a Rolls Royce. You know I was going to get him a glaring and then I was at the dealership and they were telling about this Rolls Royce and they were so persuasive on how well it drives and all that – and I was like.

Maybe I need to look into this that’s marketing and I’m glad they did because it’s a badass cars better than a McLaren in terms of quality, ride and stuff, like that little different, apps, Turin jizz, but everything I’m glad you know Joel Salatin marketed to me to Go and work on his farm, I’m glad he was persuasive. I’r glad differ mentors at different times persuading me to take a different path than then I would have gone on naturally.

So click the link download his ebook learn how to use the Internet is powerful. Look. I’r here on the internet, connecting with you, I looked at 103 countries, I’m connected to people, I’m following my stuff and that’s all ecommerce, that’s the power of e-commerce. So learn how to do it for yourself. Even if you don’t want to be a huge entrepreneur. You know you could use it for art use for reading book.

I mean you can use it for art. You can use it for your music, you could use it like, I said stores you can use it even as an employee if somewhere else, the better to market yourself, the more promotions you can get so download it check out his but make sure you go into His free workshop, I told her I’m being affiliate because I like his stuff and then he’s got a paid program that I partnered up with them.

So you know, if you decide, and he shows you even if you don’t know what to do in business, he shows you how to figure it out how to source and decide what products will sell easily, that aren’t that hard to market, and so it’s kind of A you know, step by step approach, click the link. Let me know what you think leave a comment below after you check out his ebook and workshop, what you thought of it.

Okay, talk to you soon,

The Best Blogging Tips

Now I’m a computer science engineer, but after having worked in the corporate world for about five years, I quit my job and start this blog called digital inspiration. Now this blog mostly has how-to guides in software tutorials around all things tech. I start this blog in 2004.

So it’s almost 10 years now that I have been talking now. It was a very different story back then there was no Facebook or Twitter and the only way people could subscribe to your blog was through RSS feeds or through email newsletters. Also, Google was a mere collection. Google search results were a mere collection of 10 blue links, so it was relatively easy to get on the front pages of Google. It’s almost impossible now.

Also people would maintain blog roles and link roles, so if they found something interesting, they would generously link to you today. If I find something interesting on the internet, I either tweet it or put it on Facebook, but back then people would generously link to your stuff from their own blogs. So what does it take to become a successful blogger? Now, frankly speaking, there are no secrets or magic van that will make your blog a success, but I think it’s a combination of good luck, hard work and consistency in one of my recent interviews with Lifehacker.

They asked me how I work and I said I work enthusiastic Lee and I work diligently. I do not see my blog as work. I see that as my hobby, it’s like getting paid for your hobby, I’m always looking forward to working on my site. The next morning, I’m always looking to improve my site, and I think this this attitude has kept me going all these years. So in this article I will try to try to summarize some of my learnings and I will try to share some tips that will probably help improve your blog and take it to the next level.

So, let’s get started tip number one. I think this is the most important one you should move to WordPress if you’re on blogger, do your blog, a favor and move everything to WordPress. It isn’t complicated and will definitely help you in the long run, especially from the search engine perspective. Now. Blogger is a great platform, it’s easy and they have some great visual templates, but the biggest drawback with blogger is that blocks everything from search engines that not an article or opposed.

Also. It is relatively difficult to tickle with the back end and that may become a bottleneck once you want to take your blog to the next level. There’s another big concern that I have with bloggers, and that is it’s mostly a distraction for Google now Google. In the past have mercilessly killed products that have been very popular, for example, Google Reader, I’m not saying that Google will kill bloggers someday, but why build your business on something where you do not have enough control on the platform itself? The content you write is definitely the most important part, but at the same time you got to have a good and interesting writing style to really attract an audience.

You just cannot say that this is how I write. This is my site and that’s how it will be good. Writing is a gift that comes naturally to some of us, but if you happen to be in the other half, please get some good books. There’s the element of style. There is on writing by Stephen King. There is on writing well and also eat shoots and leaves right the drafts in a proper editor. You could use Microsoft Word or Poetica, because these will highlight all the typos and grammatical errors in your writing.

You don’t want them to appear on the main site, because that will convey a really bad impression. I would also recommend getting a style guide, something like the New York Times style guide or The Associated Press style book, because they will help you develop a consistent writing style. These style guides have accepted writing rules for journalism, and there is no reason why you cannot apply those rules to your own style of writing.

Don’t try to imitate someone else’s style. You have your own personal style and your blog readers are following your blog because they love your style. Make your writing your own. You don’t have to imitate someone. Not do you have to write your blog as, if you’re writing a press release make it personal. The most important part of a blog is actually the post headline in suddenly everybody is trying to do BuzzFeed style headlines.

This is why the Apple read is not round the chart that Google executives don’t want you to see. You will never believe what Facebook will and will next now with these headlines. What happens is that you raise the expectation level of the audience and when they read the actual content, they are often disappointed. Such headlines do invite visitors. But what is the point of a visit when the person is just glancing at your site and leaving it disappointed? My suggestion would be that you have boring headlines that are accurate, but they not be very cute or clever.

Everyone should be able to guess what article is all about by looking at the post headline itself: there’s a lot of noise in the blogging world and there’s a mad rush to report something new. But I take a step back and think. Are you really adding any value or just contributing to the echo chamber? It is probably the job of the mainstream media. Are the really big blogs to publish news, as happens, but for the rest of us? We can step back and only say when we have something interesting to say: you won’t lose much if you aren’t among the first few to reporter news, just say no to gas blogging, I mean think like a business when you aren’t getting anything in return by giving Away a content to other side for free.

Yes, it will help raise your profile on the Internet. If you manage to write for repeated and authoritative sites like TechCrunch or The Huffington Post, but 99 % of the guest blogging on the Internet is done to direct some link juice to your actual website, but that’s just waste also, as your blog will grow popular you Will see that big publishers are approaching you asking for permission to republish your stuff? Now don’t get too excited about this? They will promise you eyeballs in turn, for your content, but that won’t actually happen.

People will just read your content on their side and go away. What you should instead ask for is a two-way partnership. If they can republish your stuff, would they be? Ok if you republish their stuff on your own website, always make it a point to use good high-resolution images or screenshots with your blog post. This helps for two reasons: when people share your content on social sites like Twitter and Facebook, your story may stand out in the crowded newsfeed just because of that image.

The other important reason is that you can cleverly use images to draw attention to parts of a page that you want to emphasize and if your articles are really long, you can use an image to add break points to add visual break points, and it goes without Saying that you should only use images that you have either captured or those that are in the public domain or under Creative Commons and never ever use stock images on your blog.

They look good on corporate sites, but not on blogs. It is definitely important to rank well in Google search pages, but the problem is that none of us really know how Google works. They have some 200 plus factors to decide the ranks of web pages, and we only know about a few of them. The fact is that, as long as you have the basics right, the cream will automatically rise to the top. So here are a few SEO related tips that will probably help you improve.

The visibility of your blog in search engines 1 have an HTML sitemap so that all your pages are no more than two or three levels deep from the homepage. This will help the Googlebot and other search engine. Bots discover your content when writing content. When writing block was make sure that it’s well organized and that it has headings subheadings and your images should have titles and captions always interlink your content, so that both human visitors, as well as the search BOTS, can find the goal.

That’s hiding in your archives. Also, when it’s not just about the headlines, you should also pay special attention to the excerpt, because that will show up in search, snippets and other places when people share your content on social sites, because people will use that snippet as well to decide whether they really Want to click that link and come to your site or not. You should never rely on your blogging software to auto-generate that, except you should always write it on your own.

Any web page on your website has two parts. There is the main content which includes the actual article that you have written and then there is the common content stuff, like the navigation area, the footer, the sidebar stuff, that’s present across all pages on your site, so in your HTML source, you should ensure that the Main content is above the common content, because that will help search engines understand what your page is all about.

Also, he should use breadcrumbs because that will help search engines understand the organization of content on your site. Do pay attention to your site’s typography, because reading experience matters, google has released some good fonts like Roboto, open sense that look good across all screens, including mobile devices, and you can consider using these fonts on your website as well site. Speed is definitely important, because if your website doesn’t load in a few seconds, people will abandon your site and go to another one.

So what you can do about it? You can switch to a good host make sure that your images are compressed. Your sites, assets like the CSS and JavaScript files, are cacheable and also try to keep your site simple. I mean keep all the bells and whistles out of your site so that your pages load fast. It goes without saying that you’ve got to switch to a responsive design. It’s a Google recommended practice and it will also help you save time, because you don’t have to maintain two versions of your site, one for the desktop and one for the mobile.

While you may be drowning in email. There are a lot of people who still prefer to get the daily dose of News through the email newsletter and therefore important that you use a professional service to send your email newsletters. Now, services, like MailChimp have an RSS to email functionality that will automatically convert your RSS feed into an email newsletter, but I would suggest, is don’t use these services instead handcraft your email newsletter, because the response rate, the open rate, will be much much higher good and Useful content automatically spreads on the internet, but if that’s not happening with your content, for some reason, it will not be a bad idea to pitch people, but who should who? Should you pitch fellow bloggers? Well, there is no harm if you can keep your emails short and do it occasionally, but do you really know who you should contact when you have written something good and useful? You should contact someone who has previously commented on your story.

You should contact someone who has previously shared your story on social sites. These are the people who are really fans of your work and they will happily evangelize your content and I think it’s much better going after them than the influencers who are extremely busy and they may not even have the time to read your emails when someone lands On your website, for the first time, they are very likely to check your about a space to know more about you and whether you are really an expert at some topic.

So that’s your window of opportunity to impress him and to convert him from a casual visitor into a regular visitor, so make sure that you have written are really good about this page. But what should it contain? Well, it must have links to your most popular. Your most important posts that you have written you should make it easy for people to subscribe to your content. There should be a search button so that people can search your archives and, if you’ve ever been mentioned in the press of the media, make sure that you have a list there, because that will make your bio more credible.

To someone who doesn’t know you. This are probably the easiest way to get traffic on your website there easier to scan. They are easier to write and they’re more likely to go viral now, once in a while is okay, but if you are only focused on producing list post on your blog, readers are less likely to appreciate it if you’ve been blogging for a while. You know that there is old content in your archives.

That’s either not relevant or some of the links old articles may no longer be working. Now. I would suggest, keep updating your old articles so that they always stay fresh and relevant. This may be your personal preference, but if something is of no use, it can probably be removed from your blog, because you are not running a newspaper or a legal firm where every document has to be preserved. I will give you an example here.

I had a lot of Orkut related posts on my blog. They were relevant and useful when I wrote them few years ago, but now that Orkut is no longer available, those posts are pretty useless. So I had two options. I can either let them stay in the archives or I may get rid of them permanently and direct all that juice to something more relevant and more related. Think of the reader first and the revenue later now.

Advertising is definitely important, but if you only focus on the commercial angle for your blog, it is difficult to build a loyal audience in the long run. Adsense buy, sell ads and blog ads is some good advertising networks, but you should always stay away from those low and advertising networks that happily runs comets on the other side, because, ultimately, you are responsible for what ads are shown to your visitors on your site.

You can easily attract the attention of other website owners by generously linking to them, because your blog posts will show up in their site logs. They may check out your blog and ultimately help spread the word among their audience. You can also add depth to your post by linking to other websites that have covered the same topic, but may have a different perspective. Some people even suggest that Google prefers pages that have links and they see them as more trusty and more authoritative.

I will give you the example of a medical site here, so you have two sites that have almost the same kind of content, but in the first site, links to all the research papers, all the web sites that it has referred to before. Creating that page and the other site has no links, it has just text. So, if you’re reading these two pages, you are more likely to trust the one that has those links to the research papers and that has cited all the sources.

Right same is true. With Google, they may see pages that have links as most trustworthy, more authoritative, you’re, probably using Google antics to measure the traffic on your website. But are you looking at the right? Metrics pageviews are useless because somebody comes and just leaves that’s a loss visit. What you really need to focus is the returning visitor count, the bounce rate and the amount of time that people are spending on your website if they’re, just landing and leaving you got to diagnose, why that’s happening? Maybe they aren’t finding the information in your pages.

Maybe the title is something else, and the actual content is something else. Maybe they don’t like the layout of your site? Maybe the typography is bad. You got to diagnose the reason you should always strive to increase the amount of time that people spend on your web pages and there are a few ways to do that. You can add a related post section to your website so that once people are done reading a article, they can check out the other related articles on your site.

You can also try the approach that QC comment. Encom have taken up where the next article automatically loads. When somebody has finished reading the current article, Google is no longer sharing the search queries with their masters, but you can always analyze your internal search, queries through Google custom search and through Google Analytics to understand what kind of solutions people are seeking on your website.

You can then go a step further in Google custom search. You can use the annotations feature to automatically highlight such pages in search results and readers have limited time. So if you give them the information, they are looking for instantly they’re going to like you even more in all these years, I have tried to harness various publication blogs and I think that has also helped grow. My blog, I have written a book for the Kindle.

Our YouTube blog, I do a podcast on iTunes, which is essentially my youtube articles in downloadable format I curate stuff on Flipboard. I also upload my slides on SlideShare. Now only a few hundred thousand people probably know about my website, but these blogs are known to millions of Internet users. It does helps to have a presence there. You can automate all this with IFT tea and buffer, but always repurpose your content for other blogs.

Everyone can have a blog on the internet, but the thing that differentiates you from other blogs is, of course, your expertise, your writing skills and most important your credibility. The editorial should be completely separate from the business side of the blog, because your readers are 10x, smarter than you think. The blog world operates on the principle of transparency, and that should be a guiding principle as well.

Thanks you

Instagram Marketing YouTube Marketing Facebook Marketing What U Need To Know- Influencer Marketing

Let’s see, oh, oh, we got it. We got it there we go boom. That’s done today we’re going to talk about becoming an influencer. I was poking around on the internet and I didn’t really see a lot of people talking about becoming an influencer. You know it’s like.

I want to start a YouTube blog. I want to get the Instagram account. I want to make that bread, but the thing is there are people youtubers people on Facebook, people on Instagram who are making millions of dollars a year or month being an influencer, not necessarily selling anything? Now I am an influencer. I know right kind of crazy, but I sell stuff, and since I came into the game by just selling stuff, it’s going to be hard for me just to sit back and let someone else get all those Duckett’s.

But we’re going to do for you tonight is drop, how you can become an influencer, how you can make that money, how you can make that bread? Okay, that’s really interesting! But anywho. Let’s just go into the first thing: Instagram influencer! Now it gets a little tricky because I’m a media buyer and what that means is that I buy placements on ads YouTube blogs, Instagram, Facebook, whatever right. So when I’m looking for engagement, I’m looking for real engagement, I am looking for true engagement.

One two three percent because see this is another thing, because the influence of marketplace is so dynamic and so big that you have people who will inflate their numbers. Who will kind of just play around with some stuff and have you thinking that they’re bigger than they really are, and essentially, if you advertise, when your money’s just not going to go anywhere, but let’s start with Instagram? Let’s start with, you are Carl and Carl.

You you do brushes, you do hair brushes now. I know this is going to sound strange, but there are literally brands that do hair brushes that do reades that make millions of dollars per month using influencers. Now. This is how it goes: you’re, Carl and you’re just crazy about reades right. You like I got a. I got a rock my gear. I got a rock my gear and you start an Instagram account of you read of rocket and reades right and then you got a little swag and you got a little style and next thing you know people are approaching you and they’re, like hey Carl I’ll.

Give you $ 50, if you put a post on your Instagram account for this thing right and you’re, like okay $ 50, no problem, it’s free! So you put this post on your Instagram account and it’s $ 15. Well, they make $ 10,000 off of sales and, let’s say the cost of goods to the read. This was 3000, then marketing it whatever, but they they met at 10 grand and you got 50. So that’s one of the things about becoming an influencer depending upon who you are where you are.

You need to know your Worth and there’s a. I think I can jump into it hold on a second I’m going to show you hold on I’m going to come out of here. Also use social Bluebook. Okay, on that social blade, social Bluebook, okay, this kind of gives you here we go hold on a second. I will I’ll get this trust me I’ll get this alright. So we’ve got that and you will go here and this is kind of gives you value placements.

Let’s see join as a creator. Okay, I’m going to just go ahead. Good lord! I got to go ahead and put all this stuff in here. Alright, fine I’ll! Do this I’ll go ahead and join the platform and show you they changed it man changed it. So, let’s see what we’re going to do we’re going to do the storage unit income at gmail and, let’s see we’ll, do that class word, and it will do that password since they got me agreeing of stuff okay, okay uh! I guess I’m in there alright hold on a second apparently I’m in here login.

I hope that this is. This is important. Okay, it’s very very important, so bear with me as I get into this. I think I joined like two years ago, but I didn’t really. Okay, hmm well hidden, well hit. Never, let’s see! Oh you! Oh you got ta be kidding me. I got to do all this stuff, all right I’ll! Do it it just one you to be all over okay us here we go and we’re going to put Linden since I’m. Usually I am cool all right, it’s that enough for you all right, let’s see my values.

Ah, here we go alright. So this is the YouTube blog, and this is what, if someone came to me is like hey Glendon, I want to put a post on your YouTube blog or I want you to make a article. This is it, and this is hmm, I don’t even know, dedicate upload. Let’s see whether we get for a shout-out $ 50 for a shout-out and direct link. Oh 14 bucks and activity promotions. 7:00, 7:15 per upload, alright.

Now, based upon the way that my blog is, this is completely bogus, but that’s kind of like the marketplace platform. That’s uh, let’s see where’s it take. It took me to there so, but you know, one of the big things about this is: let’s see is let’s go into my projects. I have no projects, my finances, I have no finances, it kind of changed it around, but let’s see create a proposal. Essentially, they have choose the platforms you’re working with, but let’s just go ahead and come out of this and go into something a little bit better.

Let’s uh, let’s go to Instagram, it got to be better hey. Actually, this is a good one. Now, Mindy here is an influencer. Now what she does is she takes pictures at these exotic locale right. Well, a lot of these hotels and I guess retreats and such they actually pay her to come and take pictures I’m not kidding. This is one of the things I think she has like five Instagram accounts, so she gets paid to take these pictures to show off of these lovely hotels, resorts vacation packages so on and so forth.

Now that is one way that you can kill it with Instagram. Now here’s the rub: you got to build it. This is the thing you can make a lot of money doing this. You can have a lot of fun. You can go places, you can do stuff, but you must build the Instagram account. However long that takes you. You’ve got to build it, but once you build it and you get true engagement, you can make I’m talking about what the average person makes in a year.

You can make in a month or a quarter seriously, and I’m not talking about you have to have. Let’s say: she’s got fifty seven thousand followers on this Instagram account she has others. Let’s see what does what does this link? Take you to freedom, job lets. You do whatever you want to do wherever you want to learn it from get access. So all so, let’s do this: let’s go ahead and see what Mindy is doing behind the scenes.

So we’re going to go to similar web my favorite site and we’re going to put that in there let’s see and see what kind of traffic she’s getting she’s, not really getting a lot of traffic they’re, just checking just checking. So let’s come out there. But that’s one of the ways that you can make a lot of money. Now, let me go I’m going to do this hold on a second, and this is another thing that you can do on Facebook hold on a second.

Let me get back into my screen. Sharing application, so you savages can see what’s going down all right, so we’re going to present that to everybody and we’re going to go to Facebook and we’re going to go to keV on stage all right now, Kevin on stage he’s another influencer right now boom this. This is perfect now he uses his blog to create booking opportunities for himself. Now. Look at this September, 30th October.

13. 15. Now, let’s just do the math on this. Let’s say that these are really small venues and they have maybe 500 people right. So let’s say they sell these tickets for $ 30 right $ 30, 500 people. Okay, so we take out our calculator and we go $ 30 times. 500 is oh! No! I I need to show you this. It’s 15 grand 500 people. There he’s also had. Let’s say he does a 70 split, so 70/30 house gets dirty.

He gets 70 % minus 30 %. It’s $ 10,000. Okay. So let’s go back to because there’s so many ways to do this. I’r just kind of giving you okay there we go. I had to show you the math on that, so you can appreciate the greatness of keV online. All right. So s 10,000. Let’s say that’s! 8,000, that’s! 10,000! So that’s like 28,000. Let’s say: that’s! 10,000! That’s! 38,000! Let’s say that’s another 10,000, that’s 48! So, let’s just say all together.

This is $ 50,000 for working one, two, three, four five six days. This is the power of being an influencer, because I remember when he started his blog, the things he had on there. So essentially it does not take a lot, and I mean he could be doing way more than that. That’s just one way that you can do it because there’s another comedian, uh, I’m thinking I can’t rocket he’s got the bug eyes. I don’t even know his neck.

Wait a minute wait a minute. I think I think it’s coming. I think it’s coming hold on. I think that’s his name and no it ain’t, but it’s another guy he’s got bug eyes and essentially he books. He says he’s doing about a hundred thousand a month and I can’t remember his name, but that that is just one of the ways that you can do it all right so hold on we’re going to go to someone else matter of fact.

Let’s do me all right and yeah yeah that would be good, so hold on a second. Let me bring you up to date, all right. So here I am just going at me. Alright, so see the stuff at the top eight hundred bucks. Eleven point: seven, you see all this stuff and this this is kind of where I’m at so, if I was just doing YouTube with these numbers, I’d be at about fifteen hundred a month, but since I do more than YouTube at these numbers, I do so many Different things I have embedded salesmanship, I have all kinds of CTAs and articles.

I do twelve times that and that’s just getting started so you can now. This is something else to that. You should understand the new YouTube algorithm is so dope. That is allowing people to get to 400 500, 600, 700, 800, maybe $ 1,000 and Adsense money with relatively small subscriber basis, because it’s not so much about the subscriber base. It is about the views. It is all about the views because I was reading a young lady.

She has 25,000 subscribers, but she does about 38 hundred dollars a month in that sense, because she’s got like 12 banging articles that just keep bringing in that money. So it has changed. There’s a lot of things that you can do to make that money. It’s kind of crazy, alright! So I’m going to pop off well yeah, I’m going to pop off in here and let’s see oh yeah cuz uh the way that I named this stream.

A lot of people are not going to come, so let me go to the chat room, real, quick, what’s up, Jay Flemming, you’re, always first, that’s funny! What’s up Lucifer, what’s up naked? What’s up it’s not always with a lot! That’s funny! Tyrone, Browne naked matrix! I know you from Atlanta. Of course you do. Everybody knows me, I’m worldwide, Kindle vision. What’s up conscious, editor, what’s going on Tiger shocks was reading yeah.

What’s up Diana, what’s up Arch Angel three five, seven, six, I’m thinking about starting a podcast! Do it do it? Do it what’s up Glendon Ludlow Harrison Tyrone Browne yeah? What is that? The two? That’s two of my blogs influencer general day topics. Okay, two live streams from one day, I’m blessed like no, I’m going to be going out of town, not not this week, but that week coming up, so I’m I’m actually going to be busy, because I want to get ahead.

Oh yep. That was one all right for you, folks who are like go below and get on the email list, and also, if you’re on the email list, you’re not getting these going to your spam folder and bring those emails out. Because I’m like I’m doing everything you can. What’s up sorry, what’s up rugged collars, what’s up fully fully I’m showing you every time I do a livestream pay attention? What’s up, mica, sorry, I don’t have fifty.

I make money off eBay and Pinterest once again, there’s so many different ways. I just gave you three of them because after I get through with the greetings, I’m going to get into the whole thing of influence, but I’m getting tired of hearing your voice all day. That’s funny, John Francis! What’s up Damian Papp Ian PK 4-6, what’s going on? What’s up Tyrone guru? Actually it’s easy for males. What’s up Monica, you know that’s funny and country Wayne.

Thank You. Erica Nicole country Wayne see somebody knew who he was Rodney coy. What’s going on goddess, Jim collection greetings so glad I caught you live. This is my first time reading. Well welcome and thank you Diana Thompson. What’s up honest, let’s see: whoa whoa whoa whoa Cabrera, I’m singing about creating the website like Fiverr, but for colors, which you actually do who’s the cuddling website app.

You know that has been proven to work. What’s up delete a user, could you build an audience on blogger, great question, your brand? Don’t do it because you build an audience on blogger. You can’t take that audience anywhere else with you. Oh Lord, we’re killing the Giants. Yeah, it is country Wayne, that’s it you, you hit it Thanks going to brawn. What’s up Marquis, how can one learn to dispel the myths, all the secrets of society? True, look.

There proof suppressed we’ll talk about that later, no problem, okay! Now, here’s how it goes with being an influencer right now, and this is something that you’re not hearing you’re, not seeing anyone talk about. If you’ve seen a little people talk about influence, your marketing is essentially you create a following right: okay, you create a following, and then you monetize that, following by taking ads a promoted, post, all kinds of thing, Instagram YouTube, there’s so many ways to do it, but Essentially, you have to build a following now.

My following is worth more to me by selling my products and courses than it is to another advertiser, because let’s say I can convince someone to give me like maybe a hundred bucks for a post right. So I would need like ten of those or twelve of those a month for it to be a decent month, and it’s not really happening so part of this deal, and you should be really aware of this. Is it just started? You had stress in about 2010 because it what it’s called influencer marketing and it’s building and spreading, because it’s mostly on the Instagram, it’s on YouTube and it’s starting to come on Facebook, but essentially for those of you folks who are like hey.

I want to start a YouTube blog, hey. I want to start a podcast hey, I want to start an Instagram, but I don’t know what I want to do. Let me tell you something, and let me tell it to you now start with something, even if it doesn’t work out, even if you’re going to change what you’re going to do start with something, because you will be building skill sets that you can leverage on the Other thing because I was telling a client it’s like we did a lot of stuff that didn’t work out.

The way we wanted to, but we gained so much insight and we gained so many skill sets, and it was just crazy right and now it’s like the dots are connecting because there is critical mass of experience, points of data points so now we’re like okay. This is how this is going to roll, but you need to get started now. If you’re going to do you to get your camera phone start, making articles just write a goal, I’m going to create 30 articles, I’m going to do it for the next 30 days.

I’r create a article of it and just go through the ugly raw period, because this influenced the thing it’s just getting started. I know you look at someone who has like 50,000 people on Facebook or you’re going to have influencers okay, who are going to have more pull empower than cable blogs. Yes, it’s already happening. The epicenter is Los Angeles and it’s New York and some other cities plus South Lake City.

But the thing is you’re going to have youtubers with 50 60 70, 80 million subscribers right and then they’re going to drop a article and they’re going to get 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10 million people just like that. Dad is coming and the money and just alright, let’s just go ahead and say – que si nos that right. He makes these vlogs and everything every time he puts up a article. He gets a million dollars.

Alright, I’m going to show you something hold on. I will be in my my thing: real, quick, I’m going to show you something and it’s going to blow your mind. Okay, cuz, I’m going to well! Alright, I’m coming out here BAM. Alright, so I’m not sure I’m not going to the analytics right well, I thought I was going into the analytics now Casey does so. What is YouTube analytics? You can do this year, BAM.

Okay, so all right now, I actually had a lot of periods where I didn’t have adds anything on this. So this is way off, but okay, so this is 1.9 million average. What Casey gets per article right? So, let’s just conservatively, say he gets 10 to 20 thousand dollars per article drop in ad revenue. Let me say that again: 1 million 1.9 million views – and it’s like five thousand because you can see I just did not – have a lot of ass, so yeah because servant Lee and also actually I’m going to say he might get thirty to forty thousand dollars.

Because, since he has such high view velocity, which means people love him, they love his content, they’re going to read his article through the end, so he’s going to get a lot of non skippable commercials and ads, which is just going to raise his CPM up. So yes, Casey could literally be making between I’m going to say the low in $ 30,000 to $ 50,000 per article, so that is not even including all of the back inventory and the views and stuff for that.

That’s just new uploads, so he might be getting. I don’t know how much he uploads but 500,000 to maybe a million a month from YouTube ads. Now I bring him up because what he’s done, there’s going to be people who are going to outdo him, so that is how this thing is really flowing. So I’m just letting y’all know because influencer marketing, whether you want to be like me, so your own stuff or you want to be like Casey nas, dad or someone else.

It is just beginning, and you want to get on this gravy train cuz. Some people like, oh, it’s too late – you can’t get in mm-hm. No, so let’s see all right, let me get in here. Let me get in here because I know I missed some: what’s up: okay, a country weighing cool cool, the brand lovely books. Thank you. I’r just trying to see where we are her kill was cracking me up. Just do it. So immediate company needs to be an influencer marketing.

An influencer can become a media company. One person can become a media. Company B loves life 100 K target sharks, Wow yeah per article tiger, sharks per article me alone, building that audience didn’t market to that said audience. Yes, Eric I’m going to go dammit man! All this time. I was going to YouTube to get nice and that no one I could be getting funds to yeah, that’s crazy. His articles are usually pretty sure that best most people read the whole article.

Yes, the leader users stay away for profanity, religion, politics and sex be consistent, provide quality as far a visual audio verbal communication and you to zag remand favor your content, yes, and no. This is something that’s real funny because, like I’ve been testing the algorithm, because it’s a said in the article earlier today that I’ve gotten away from doing stuff that YouTube wants me to do because it’s diametrically opposed to me making money.

So I’ve taken the posture on that I’ll, just pay for traffic. Fine, I make money I’ll spend money. If there’s no problem right well, I did that and then it exploded. My blog, I got like no. I got ninety three hundred. Ninety three. Ninety nine thousand. Three hundred subscribers in one month – and I was just like whoa and then the paid traffic was subsidized by the Adsense, because I didn’t put ass on all my articles.

I had a lot of articles that ran paid traffic on they had no ads. If I had put ads on there and I’m going to test this, this one reason I’m doing this stream, I might literally net out meaning that whatever I spend in that sense, I may make all of that back in Adsense money. I don’t think you understand me when I say what I’m talking about, because essentially it’s like getting traffic for free plus, I’m making more money.

I mean it. Is it like blows my mind for real, because I was like? Oh my goodness. This is how – and this is why I’m sharing this with you, because some of you are looking for sure things, and this is not a sure thing, but I’m telling you you need to get started, you don’t know you could break through you could pop through. You could become one of those people making this crazy bread uh. Let’s see pretty much, not that that was someone that was here earlier.

I don’t know, I don’t know, because that is one of the things all right. So I will just say this: if you were marking someone traveling apps ate my bad, but I just don’t have time for that stuff because I’m putting out information we’re moving fast and then you got a lot of people out here who just want to play. Games, cuz, they’re bored. Let’s see, I have four streams. I want to look at my goals to look at my project again, because this is where I could generate more customers as well.

Okay, surely because one of the things that’s happening, let me just move that back a little bit, but so we’re all up in the grill and stuff. Let me see yeah, that’s a little bit better, that this is incredible. This is like crazy incredible. This is like I, I want you to think of something that you can literally pull out a camera phone and start making articles, and I’m actually going to show you someone he’s he had five thousand subscribers a year ago and because there’s new the thing is the New YouTube algorithm is it’s vicious, but if you can get into it, what it will do for your business is insane.

It is just crazy hold on I’m going to show you this guy, and let’s see I actually that’s funny. Okay, so he started I I could show you this because actually he’s going to be speaking at the event I’m going to and go here and let’s see, we’ll go to his oldest articles, see I’m giving you all kinds of ways to low key creep on people. Child just don’t know right all kinds of ways to low key creep, all right.

So, as you can see, he had a few articles up, but he really just got started right and this right here and that this did a lot to help him get to a million subscribers. That’s all right and you see that he got a silver play button. Six months ago, six months ago, so he just does a lot of vlogging photography stuff. Four months ago he had 500k. Alright, so we will go up to he’s, got a million. He did this in a year from 5,000 subscribers to a million subscribers.

Now you could check out this blog. You could kind of peep out what he’s doing, but he has a way about himself: a million subscriber I’m telling you what you know with PewDiePie Casey Neal stat we’re going to look back in three to four years and go like. Oh, my god. I really thought Kate, I mean you’re going to have someone who’s going to literally break out and they’re going to get ten million subscribers in the year.

It’s going to happen, it could be you so I’m just letting y’all know. What’s going on. Oh, let’s see Louie the seller. What’s up thanks Lynn, I’ve been motivated to meet regain my focus on YouTube drop, my first article today now I have to stay consistent, so I’m tired of failing with YouTube thanks for the modification cool. Oh there’s going to be much more with the American hustler, my cologne, that hustler mindset, let’s go with lemon, he believes in tribal.

It is crazy. It is crazy, but here’s the thing like you know: Instagram marketing, YouTube marketing, Facebook marketing. You need to get started. Don’t worry about being perfect, don’t worry about having the right camera, you need to get started. Actually, I’m going to show you something else too, because one of the things I do is I track blogs and stuff. So this is why I know where they all are.

Alright, so hold on we’re going to zoom in and we’re going to zoom out. So let’s see make sure that we’re presenting everybody, okay, so sad squad, right, Jenny Nicholson here: okay, uh last year, when this movie was coming out, she did this article. Okay. Now I saw this happen and I knew what was going to happen, and it was just really interesting because when she did before she did this article, she had two thousand subscribers just two thousand and what she did was a very good.

And if you can see it’s not that long, it’s just her doing a very nice thing. I mean what she did was brilliant. Now, the reason I’m bringing this here, the camera. Okay, it’s crappy, the camera is crappy like does she even have 720p? It’s 1080p she’s got she’s got 1080p, but she’s got really bad lighting. It’s the focus, but the volume is good. So essentially, this article, this one Suicide Squad sales pitch literally grew her blog to over a hundred thousand subscribers.

This one article so for those of you who are going, I don’t have a good camera. I don’t have the audio and stuff bump that you can do this, this article, that she did. You could do this article with your cell phone. I team iPhone team and draw, or whatever you can do this, so I’m just letting you guys know. Let’s see me, what do you think about reaction and prank blogs? You do reaction and prank blog at some point, you’re going to outgrow your demographic, just sayin TLE Osbourne Bauer’s.

How do you build a little following be consistent? Put up articles look for what articles hit look for what articles don’t hit and just you got ta keep putting out content, because this is why you got to do your own stuff at some point, you’re going to find a way that differentiate yourself and you’re going To be to get a lot of views, but essentially get started, stay started and do a lot of research do a lot of research.

A ton of research, J, Fleming Glynnis, like the knowledge will uncle. I never had that’s funny Belize. A lot of people like Google’s algorithm than Facebook of Facebook and Google and YouTube for all fighting. So it’s good for us, my quote from our friend Jake Parker. He created inktober challenge, finished, not perfect. The world wants people who finish and complete things. Your friend Jake Parker, I agree.

What’s up Baruch, oh yeah, I mean this thing is like insanely good, what’s going to happen with influencer marketing, so that’s just it! I’r just dropping that. I’r giving this to you guys, because I’m telling you like, okay, you know Lucy. I started with YouTube right, and this is my second office right, which I used primarily for the studio and I’m probably going to do some other stuff, but I started in my basement with a digital potato.

You can do this, it’s going to be hard. It’s not going to happen as fast as you want, and it’s just not just let that go. But the thing is, if you put your nose to the grindstone and you work and you learn from your mistakes very quickly and you do research and you present yourself because I’m going to show you another one. I don’t know how I got here, but I’m going to show it to you because it’s weird, I still don’t know how I got here, but let’s see and let’s go, what is her name Trinity, you d? This? Is it okay? All right just to let you know, Trinity is a trans, fest, tranny tranny she’s, a girl with a penis anyway, I came up on it and I was reading her articles now.

This is something that’s really interesting. Okay, she had you know you can come back and read it later, but she has such great delivery and she’d I mean her. Anything’s got to be crazy good because it’s like she has this way of delivering stuff, and I found myself reading these articles and cracking up at all the stupid crap. She was doing, but just look at people who do good article, because, let’s see we can go ahead and Pete Trinity, let’s see, is she dying cuz, I’m going to actually show you something else here.

If you want to know if a YouTube blog is doing well or dying, do this go to socialblade.Com and you put this in sociably is plugged into the youtube api, so certain numbers are cool, or these numbers of valid, like this number, is valid, valid valid ballot. Alright, so she’s Kanna she’s with a studio – oh yeah, she’s like nineteen years old, so she is dying. This is not good. If this is not good, so apparently she did.

I think I know a article that did that, but essentially, if you know how that what to look for you can see if someone’s blog is dying or growing or it’s going to explode like alright I’ll, do me, I can show you what my blog is doing. So yeah, like I said cuz I am in a mold of I’m growing because you know I was starting to slowly. Die, do go into degradation, but now I’m grown and there’s just a few little things that you can do.

Oh yeah they’re little they’re really little. That can make a big difference. Alright, so let’s see well we’ll see Luther so which is more beneficial to a blog using a brand name of your blog name, your real name, it really. It really doesn’t matter. It really doesn’t matter, because the thing is, it’s you. It’s not the name. It’s you! Oh you’re, funny, grant M Smith. Hey, really appreciate the info that live stream helps, carry a lot trying to figure out how to build a youtube blog for my recycling.

Business MF just start take out the camera and just start a kW beats. Instagram is like my number one: traffic source, yep creative and quality LC. Oh, what’s going on Linna hair’s long term, it’s dangerous to put all your content on a platform like YouTube, or is it safe to be going to be if it’s safe to think it’s going to be available forever good question, it depends now. None of my articles are really controversial and I don’t go down these dark roads or political things.

I can tell you a few things that will get your blog delete it. If you become a person that likes to call out people and start stuff and call out people by name put up their articles and mock folks, you will be deleted. If you like to be controversial, you’ll be deleted, it are you’ll, be d monetized. If you like to mock people, I mean essentially as long as you’re not being mean to people or you know, showing graphic images.

Chances are your blog getting to leave there pretty slim to none now with that said, if you get really big and you get haters other things can happen, but it depends upon your content. If you’re, like really raising hell doing a lot of damage causing people pain, you’ll grow very quickly, and then they will put the slap that the slap down on you instant. If you already helped me get from 7 to 13 K and two months from the old pimping, Craigslist applied to other performance working from my one car garage, awesome M Smith, mom, and these are wild.

He she, oh there will be merchandise, let’s see in local DMV nation is a blog that grew from a million year. Oh that this is going to be so many of them. It’s going to be crazy, because this is what’s happening. Youtube has new people coming in and they’re growing up, and then they have old folks who have blogs that you know or years old, and these folks have never changed and they’ve never gone to a conference and they never did any research and they’re literally just dying And they can’t figure out why not really I’m telling you sex sells okay, boys and girls? All right went ahead and just put this out here.

I meant for this to be much shorter than it is, but this is just to get started with some weather you’re going to do YouTube. You’re going to do Instagram you’re going to do Facebook, you need to get started. You need to go hard and you need to just do just do it just really do it, because I’m excited and I’m like real excited, because we got a project that we’re going to do and essentially and I’ll actually do another stream, because this one is just Pretty much introducing you to influence their marketing, whether it is how it works and the things you need to do.

But I’ll do something else about how to create an influencer, because that’s what we’re going to be doing as a company we’re going to create influencers, and I cannot wait. I am so hype so with that I’ll catch you later be sure to subscribe. To the blog. Be sure to like it and be sure to leave our well-thought-out comment haha when this livestream renders and I’ll catch you guys later, because it’s time to go

Marcel Pociot – Package design 101

So before I start my talk, let me tell you a secret Freak is not going to like to hear it, but package development is not some black magic in a small town in Belgium, so you can all you can all do it and I’ll show you how So we’re a quick intro about me.

My name is Massimo geode, I’m a managing partner and developer at beyond coach, which is my company, and earlier this year, together with freek and all the spicy team, we worked on Flair and ignition feel free to follow me on Twitter. If you want all right, so why should you care about package development in the first place? I think there are three major benefits. There are a couple more, but these are the three I want to focus on.

So the first thing is by stripping out parts of your application into packages. It allows you to come to concentrate on your core domain and on your core features. So let’s say that you work at a company that develops web shops and your boss comes in and wants you to create a CMS for one of your shops. Now the core domain and the core feature of what your application is doing is selling things online and making it easier for your customers to sell and make money online, and the CMS is not necessarily part of that core domain.

So if you would add this to the monolithic application, you would suddenly make the CMS a part of your core domain, or at least it will live in the same thing. So I think that if you strip that out to a separate package, you get a lot of benefits, because suddenly the CMS is its own core domain and it becomes a lot easier to maintain. It becomes a lot easier to add features to it, because it’s just a small thing: it’s just the CMS and nothing else, and once you start doing it, it becomes a lot you to reuse these things.

So let’s say a colleague of yours comes in to your office like six months later and says: hey, I need to add a CMS to another project, and then you start copy pasting things around from your old project. At least I did some time and when you do just use packages, you can just say: okay use this package, and even if you cannot apply 100 % off the package and reuse all of it, I’m pretty sure that you will still save some time by reusing Existing things – and even if you do this, you can then extend this package to make it work with other pieces of your software.

And the third benefit is that you can get documentation for free. Well, it’s not really for free, but because the scope of a package should be very small, it becomes a lot more enjoyable to document it. I guess we all don’t really like writing documentation as developers, but at least I feel when the scope is small enough. It’s at least easy to do it and more enjoyable than if I would have to document the whole shop with how the CMS is somehow attached to it.

So the package that I want to build with you today is called arival badges. It has two main features. The first one is, I want to create a badge, so I want to add some kind of gamification to my applications. So a badge would be a one-year membership and the second feature is, I want to define rules based on which the badge gets applied. So, for example, the one of your membership badge gets applied when a user in my system has been created less than a year ago.

The way we’re going to do this is I’m going to use a package boilerplate because they simply don’t have the time to start with an empty directory and start from scratch. We’re using TDD because that’s how we do it right: yeah, okay and then we will implement the actual logic of the package and then I’ll show you how you can publish the package if you want to open-source it. So let’s start to build the actual boilerplate codes.

I created a web. I called laravel package boilerplate comm, I’m also going to tweet that out later, and the website basically allows you to choose what kind of package you want to generate and what kind of boilerplate you want to generate. So you can choose between a level specific package which comes with a service provider and some predefined config files included or a generic PHP package, which is what I am going to do right now.

Then you can fill in the details, like your vendor name, the package name, information about the author and, last but not least, the license, which is really important. Whenever you want to publish something on the open, please always ensure that you have at least one license. If you don’t know which license to pick, you can click on this question mark which will lead you to choose a license com and there you can see which license allows you what to do what the user needs to do when they download your software and what They can do with it if you find software online without a license at all, it basically means you are not allowed to use it.

So please always choose license. If you want to and then next you can download the project as a zip file. I already did that because I thought it would be boring. Reading me do a composer install over the Wi-Fi here. So this is basically what it looks like. We have an empty class. We have a test that returns true and we have so a bunch of files that ensure that once we run this on some CI systems, it will make our lives easier.

So the important file is the composer JSON. Is this big enough for you in the back? I can see anything, but I guess silence to see yes, okay, cool, so the composer JSON file is basically what tells composer and packages. If you publish the package that all the files in here are a package that you can install. So we have the name of the package, then we have some meta information like description, keywords, information about the author, the license stuff like that, and then we come to the required section so similar to the require section in your laravel application.

This is the list of dependencies. My specific pack chassé, so in here, I’m depending on PHP, is some point, one which is a bit outdated and I’m depending on illuminate support in version six, which basically allows us to make use of laravel features like the service provider. In version 6, so everyone can install this in level projects from version 6 and up then we have the DEF section and those are the dependencies that we use while developing this package.

So we use PHP unit to run our tests and I’m also using Orchestra test bench, which is a very cool package that basically allows us to test our package as if it would live in a level package. I’ll show you later, then: we have the auto load section, which basically just says that everything in the Bianco Daryl badges namespace lives in the source directory and during development. Everything in the Beyond code level, badges tests, namespace lives in my tests directory and that’s pretty much all that we need for now.

So let’s start implementing our features. So the first feature was that I want to be able to create badges. So let’s create a test. It can create badges like this, so the tests would look like. I want to create a badge, and the badge has a name, something like when your membership and, let’s give it a description to grant it to users, are members for more than yeah cool. I just like alright and then the actual test would be that we assert that the badge exists so pretty simple test, but this would test the functionality that we have a model.

We have a database, we can insert the badge in the database and after inserting it, it exists. Please note that this test is not extending the regular PHP unit test case, but instead I’m extending from the orchestra test bench test case which, in the back when running the test, is going to boot up laravel. So, let’s see what happens when I run this test. Spoiler, it fails okay, so class badge not found.

Okay, that makes sense. So, let’s create the batch model now so create a new class badge, it’s going to extend from Alcuin model and I’m going to say that we don’t have any guarded properties just to make my life a bit easier during the test. So I don’t have to fight the math assignments. Then, let’s import the class in here and rerun the tests. It still fails – and this time we get the error that the access dinner is the night for forge at localhost, which is kind of strange, because we haven’t defined that we want to use my sequel or Forge or anything.

But this comes from Orchestra test bench. So the default level application under the hood has forged as the default username and it uses my sequel now when, like a colleague of mine or when I published this on open source, I don’t want people to have my sequel installed and the specific database just to Run my tests, so I want to use an in-memory sequel, Lite database and luckily enough level, ships with in-memory database.

So we can just specify that we want to use one in our PHP unit X in our file by adding a new section called PHP. And then we just define an environment variable, so we say the DB connection will have the value of testing and it’s still going to fail. But now we were able to connect to the database because it’s now using the in-memory sequel, Lite database and we don’t have a badges table which makes sense because we only have the model but no migration, so let’s create the migration.

Next I like to structure my packages so that they resemble the default laravel structure, so the source directory is basically my app directory and everything else lives outside of it like assets or even by babies. Migrations, that’s great database directory and there we have a migration stork dream, and in here we have a new file, all great badges, tabletop PHP. So let’s write our migration. Migrations are not namespace, so we don’t need to do that in here.

Create badges table. It’s going to extend from a migration, let’s import this, and then we have an up method where we create the table. So we have email, creates badges and we get the blueprint of our table. I’r going to import this, so there becomes readable, alright and our badges table will increment an ID. It will have a string for our name. It is going to have text for the description and some timestamps alright.

So this should be enough and then we need a second table that will hold the connection between the badge and whatever model we associate with it. So, let’s create that I gave it the fancy name, vegetables of the table, and now this is just an unsigned. Integer of the badge ID and we’re going to use a polymorphic relation that holds the model that we associate because we don’t know upfront which models we want to associate later on with our batch.

Okay cool. So I think that’s our migration, but our test still doesn’t know about it and the test will still fail. So how can we let our test know about it? Since migrations are just basic PHP classes, we can just create them and run the app method on it. So I’m just going to override the setup method and do this beautiful void, call the parent setup and in here we can just require our migration. Here there we go and then we can new it up and that one and run up on it and now, every time a test runs, we will load the class and perform the app method on it with a bit of luck: yeah, okay, cool.

So our first feature is basically done. Our package can create badges, but there’s a problem with that, because, even though we have the migration in our package, if someone would install the package right now, they wouldn’t know that a migration exists. So the way we do this with laravel is by using a service provider. So let’s create a service right in here. Let’s say: badges service provider going to extend from the service provider that comes with laravel and in here we have a register method where we can add things to the Container.

We don’t need this right now, but what we can also do in a service provider. It’s we can say: hey this package is going to publish some files, so we are going to publish the migration in this location and when it gets published, please copy it over to my database path migrations. Then we use the current time stamp, followed by create badges table dot PHP. So now, when someone installs your package and runs PHP, artisan, Bend or publish and chooses your service provider, laravel is automatically going to copy our database migration that we have in here to the user’s database, migrations, folder and giving it the current timestamp as the full name.

As the file name – okay, cool – so that’s pretty much. The first feature, the second one. That was that I want to be able to associate a batch to a model. So, let’s write the test, wait, it can associate badges, it’s going to be a test and the way this test would work is first of all, we need a batch that we can associate and then, in my packages I like to just come up with an API That, I think, is good to work with and then later on.

I try to make it work so for this I think something like this would be good. We have a batch provider where I want to grant the one year membership badge to a test user class when a specific condition returns true, so when the user created add, is less than now a year. So when it’s older than a year, I want to grant this batch to this user model, so we would have set up this and now to actually test this.

We still need to create a user, so we’re going to say test user create. I want to reuse the existing user table that ships with laravel – and I don’t have to create a migration in here just to test this feature and a default user of a level migration where the user has a name and needs an email, and we need a Password and we need to provide the Creator that date, because that’s how we based the page for later on, so then we say now: 12 month, ok and then the actual test would be that we assert that the count of the user badges would be 1 okay.

So this is how such a test could look like. We create a badge. We define the rule that it gets to find when the user was created less than a year ago we created the user, and then we have the batch. Ok, let’s see how we can make this work, let’s start with a test user. So I’m just going to create a class in my test in here. So here we just do the test user, which is going to extend from the default user that comes with laravel.

Since I want to reuse that table once again, we done we say we don’t have any guarded properties and I’m going to overwrite the table as well and set it to users, because by default, Errol would now guess the table name based on the class, and it Would come up with tests under score users, and I don’t want that so like this. So that’s basically to make this part work, but we don’t have the badges.

The way I imagined this to work is that every model that wants to create the relation between badges can use a trade. So in here we would say something like use: has badges and then this trade would give the relationship that we want in here. So, let’s create that trait, let’s put in traits territory as badges will be a trait okay, let’s import it so that phpstorm can do its magic. Okay and basically, all that this trade does is.

It provides one function called badges where we are going to return a morph to many relationship to our batch model. We called it model in the migration and the database table and the table itself is called vegetables all right. So now this should work. We should be able to access this, we can create our user, but this batch provider still does not exist. So let’s do that too. So we have a batch provider class, it’s not going to extend anything, and this class basically holds three properties.

We grant a badge to a model when a condition is true, and then our public API looks something like grants badge. Then we return this so that we easily chain our methods to a model. All right. You turned this again and then we have the wind method. With the condition and in here we would do our apply by just logic, okay, so this would be basically all we need to apply the badge. As Janek told you yesterday, we are going to use an eloquent event, so this is definitely not the most performant way to do this, but it works.

So what I want to do is I want to listen for an event, namely the eloquence saved event. So, every time this model gets saved, we’re going to call a closure, and in this closure we are going to check if the condition returns. True we’re going to associate the badge with this model. So, since we only have the name of the badge, we first need to pull it out of the database, so this would be fetch where name, that’s badge first or fail in reality.

You would have to do some more exception handling in here and throw a best custom exception, but I’ll leave it at is, and then we pass this badge to the closure and then perform the condition check. So this, then, basically, if a call to this condition with a model that just got saved returns true, we want to associate the badge with the model, so we’re going to say model badges, think without detaching.

So this is going to attach the badge without removing the existing badges and without adding it multiple times. So here we have the badge ID okay. So let’s go back to our test here. We I wanted to actually make this work like if shot now. I could use a real-time façades, I’m not a big fan of those so to see if it actually works. Let’s just create a new instance of our batch providers, so in here we have a new batch provider.

We grant the one-year membership to the test user when the condition returns. True, okay, cool, let’s see what it test says, all right: it fails no such table users, which is strange because it comes with laravel right, but Orchestra test bench actually does not migrate. These sort of default migrations because you might want to override it in your own tests, but luckily we can just tell test bench that it should do this by saying this loads clarify migrations, and then we have our users table.

So if we run this again cool all tests are green and to prove that this really work. If I do this with 11-month, it should fail, and it does so now the actual size is zero. While we assert that we have one perfect, okay cool now, I still have time to create the facade. So, as I said, we could use a real-time facade, but let’s take a look at how we can do a regular facade. So, let’s create a new directory facades, and in here we are going to create our batch provider, facade class, which is going to extend from the facade that comes with the luminate support, and all we need to define here is the ghat facade, accessor method.

So this method should return what laravel should pull out of the container when this facade gets accessed. In our case, we don’t have any interface or contract that we need to pull out, so we can just return the concrete implementation which, in our case, is the batch provider class itself like this okay cool now back to our test. So we should now be able to replay if this, by doing something like this and use the facade instead, so let’s run the tests and well it fails, because the class batch provider was not found so in laravel, these facades work by they registered themselves.

Basically, and so that you can access them as in the root namespace. So when we want to test this, we basically just have to tell Orchestra test bench that we want to do the same thing so in here we can just define a new method, get’ package aliases. We can return an array of aliases that we want to be accessible in this test. So in our case it’s the bash provider and it points to the batch provider, facade, class and look it’s.

There works, ok, cool. So now we can access and test that our batch provider can be used using the facade that we registered. It can be used using the regular implementation. Ok and, as I said, this is not the most performant way. I wouldn’t really use this in production, but it can show you what you can do now to actually publish this thing. It’s pretty easy: if you want to publish it on github, you only need to do is create a repository and gets up, which I did I’m not going to push it now, because that’s kind of boring to see.

I guess once you do this, you can then go to packages which is the composer package registry. There can create an account and login with github. That’s the easiest way to do it go to submit and then in here you just paste in the github URL press check and then it will check if an existing package exists with the given name or if the vendor name is already taken. If it does not, you can just add it to the registry tag a version and then you can use it, but even if you don’t want to submit it, you can still use private packages and points to the github URL in your composer JSON file.

Okay – that’s all I have so. I hope that it was able to show you that can create a package. It’s not like magic, it’s really more about knowing how you can test the package and what features or Crysta testbench gives you there’s a lot more. If you want to know more about package development, I created the article course that you can access at this bitly URL, which has, I think, $ 10 coupon for you and in addition, if you want to try out FLIR, this is a coupon code that gives you One month of flare for free, if you want to do that so yeah.

Thank you very much.

How To Start A Blog And Make Money In 2020 ($4,000 / Mo Blogging Income Or More)

I want to talk to you guys about how you can start a blog and start earning money in 2020.. So I have a blog. I started about. A year ago, uh that’s been making around four thousand dollars in pretty passive income per month, usd which is around 6 000 australian dollars. So in today’s article I want to you know: go through with you guys with about like seven or so steps encompassing how this is possible and using my experience over the last year in growing a blog talking to you guys about how you can start your own Blog, so a blog is a really good way to make money.

I’ve been trying to make money with youtube for a while, and it’s pennies, like you, make pennies per thousand people that you get to read a article, but with a blog you can make up to like 20 30 40 50 per thousand people. You can get to the blog, which is quite amazing, in contrast to youtube, which is only a couple of bucks with blogging. It has such a high monetization value. Okay, so step number one is picking a niche.

Now everyone says you got to pick a niche with blogging, it’s probably a good idea, and it’s definitely a preferable idea to pick some kind of topic that you want to talk about in in the blog. My whole idea about starting a blog is so that you can make money from what you love and that’s what i’ve done for myself in cycling. I have a cycling blog, but it’s much more niche than just cycling. For example, like you want to pick something like urban commuting or bike commuting, instead of just cycling i’ll get into a bit later about picking a name and stuff and hey you don’t want to pick a name, that’s too niche as well, because it’ll sort of narrow You down into a specific topic: if you want to grow later on and talk about other aspects of cycling, for example, then you know you can do that, but when we’re picking a niche, you want to start off writing about something.

That’s that’s very specific to a particular person, and you want to help answer their questions that they may have so, for example, some really profitable niches. If you’re wanting to get into making money it being more important than the niche topic. If that makes sense, then health wealth, those kind of topics around how to make money dieting working out all that kind of stuff, it’s very popular and one could say saturated, but that’s where you got to find a specific niche.

You want to service a specific type of person, so, for example, if you’re in like a cooking niche or something like that, you want to pick something. That’s like recipes for parents or something like that or recipes for couples without children or something even more specific, like that, you know what I mean now I don’t recommend a cooking blog or a recipe blog as your first blog i’m starting up one for myself, but I have previous experience building up other blogs, but you know if you love cooking, why not give it a crack and see how you go the way to get traffic? That way is probably through pinterest and youtube instead of trying to rank number one on google, because it’s very competitive and that’s where you need to weigh up the competitiveness aspects as well.

So, in order to do that, but also first, I should mention that i’ve just got some notes here. Some other niche ideas like home, decor, parenting, diets, diy gardening and i’ve got a list here of some other ones. You can just google something like um blog topic. Ideas or or blog niche ideas – and you got like um golf disc golf – you know how to train for a triathlon marriage advice, uh ghost hunting.

There’s you know whatever you are passionate about. You choose that well before you choose, it, consider its popularity and how we do that. We go over to something like google trends and you want to type in something like bike commuting, which is what I have here and, as you guys, can see. I’ll probably choose a different one here, let’s do ghost hunting. I just want to do that. One that would be very, very cool.

Did the supernatural stuff, as you guys, can see ghost hunting it’s very popular, so this is over um worldwide for the last 12 months and, as you can see like you want to try and aim for a topic that is over 50 over 50 there. The number 50., so you want anything over that. That indicates that it’s got higher search volume and, as you can see, this is very consistent and then you want to also go through to the last five years and see what it’s been like.

So look at that. How consistent that is! That’s that’s a really good niche to get into you know looking at those numbers and how good that is, it’s probably going to be competitive as well, so you want to which is what we’ll get to next. You want to do keyword, research and find keywords that are underserved and and what people uh or other bloggers aren’t writing about or they’re, not writing that much about and that’s where you can get in start ranking and start building up the blog and getting traffic.

That way, so step number two is picking a name for the blog and also your domain name, your com. So you want to pick something like I was saying earlier. That is not too specific to your niche, so, instead of doing so, for example like let’s talk about gardening, so let’s say you want to start writing articles about butterfly gardens which are planting flowers, that butterflies will love. So it’s creating a garden for butterflies.

You don’t want to like choose butterflygardens.Com, because if you want to broaden out and you’ve already, you know written a lot of content around butterfly gardens and you can’t really push that niche any further down the track. Then you don’t want to be stuck to just butterfly gardens. You want to do something you know create a name. That’s encompassing of just gardening in general would be my advice.

So then you can broaden out to container gardening. You can do water gardens organic gardening. You know fruit and veggie, gardens and stuff, like that. You can broaden out even further down the track. So pick a name, that’s a lot broader than what the niche is initially. If that makes sense, so you want to choose something like gardening, addict.Com or letsgarden.Com. You know something that’s just a lot more broader in the aspect of the whole niche.

Okay, so step number three is to set up the blog, so once you’ve got your name of the blog and the domain name, you’ve brought that I recommend going to somewhere like godaddy.Com or something like that to buy your domain name, it’s fairly, cheap to set up And get started with essentially hosting is is like rent space online for your domain name. I use hostgator.Com uh bluehost is very popular amongst bloggers.

Go to one of those two places set up hosting there’s a lot of like how-to articles on youtube about how to set up a wordpress blog um and get it you know set up through hosting and stuff like that. I recommend wordpress as a blogging platform to get started with um. You can do uh. I think it’s squarespace and wix they’re, more of like aesthetic sort of blogs that are sort of just have a couple of pages I found wordpress is great.

If you’re wanting to put out a heap of content and add value to the community, you want to build around your niche, so that encompasses a lot of blog posts. I have over 200 blog articles on my blog uh, so wordpress is great, for you know putting out a heap of content like that, so yeah just go to youtube type in like um how to set up a wordpress, blog and hosting and then follow. There’s heaps of tutorials online, where you can learn how to do that? Okay, so now you have your blog set up.

What you want to do is pick a theme for your blog, so this is going to this is going to entail what your blog is going to look like, and it’s pretty important, but it’s not it’s not something to get stuck on or get too carried away On uh, you want something: that’s simple, preferably pretty fast, although I don’t really care too much. If, if the blog speed isn’t that fast uh, a lot of people would disagree with me um, but I really think just you know.

Content is more important. That’s what you really want to focus on when you, when you’re starting a blog, is just the content which is next we’ll get to that next. But what you want to do is create a theme, so there’s a lot of free themes on wordpress. If you go to the themes dashboard there, you can scroll through and have a look and and see all the options that I have and see what tickles you fancy what you like there.

I personally have a paid theme, although I did get the free version that I liked and then i’m like uh, I might buy the pro version because it had a few extra features. The theme I have is called boston pro, which is what I use for my blog. It’s a pretty nice looking theme, I really like it, but there is you know many other options like divi themes. Uh is also recommended from a lot of bloggers. What I would recommend is get started with a free blog, you don’t want to.

You know, spend money uh in the beginning stages of your blog. First, you want to get the traffic start earning income and then once you’re making money. You can then start to invest that into a nice new theme and making the blog look much better. Okay, so step number five is probably the most important step and that’s creating content. But before you get carried away and start writing about your day or sharing like something great that happened today, you’re in your life, you want to avoid creating that type of content.

If you want to start ranking on google and getting traffic to your website, so i’m going to give you a couple of strategies that you can use a couple of keyword, research tools that you can use to start figuring out. What type of things to write about in your niche, but you want to create content or blog posts around what people are actually searching for on google now over 80 to 90 of my traffic comes from google seo.

If you don’t know what that is, it’s just search engine optimization, so it is essentially what happens when someone types in a query to google and you are ranking right up there in number one position, which is the goal, which is where you want to be so Uh, I have one article I wrote that gets over 10 000 page views per month and it’s a simple list post like the best uh 10 bikes. Something like that.

You know what I mean and it ranks near the top and it gets over. 10, 000 page views also on a second note that they’re really good type of blog posts i’ll get into that a bit later, but um. The best of sort of posts do really well for me, like best this best product in your niche and listing 10 products. Talking about them, then that’s also how you make affiliate income as well suggesting good products that people can buy, which is what i’ll get into very shortly as well.

But essentially you want to create content around what people are searching for so think about what problems are people going to have in this niche? You know what I mean like you’re, hopefully choosing this niche because you’re passionate about it and you know a lot about it or you know enough about it to create some content right, so think about what you, maybe when you were just getting into this niche, what You were searching for in the beginning stages, maybe check your search history and see like what things you were trying to search back.

Then that’s really cool sort of indication you want to sort of get into the shoes or where the hat of your potential audience potential. Customer you want to you want to think how they think and try and understand, like what their search behavior is on google. So some keyword tools, I recommend, is keywords everywhere. This is like a google chrome add-on thing where you can install it and whenever you search something on google, it will show you how many searches it gets a month which is not accurate, but it’s a good indication.

I wouldn’t solely use that as a gauge, because i’ve written, like I said, a blog post against 10 000 page views a month and when I typed in that keyword, it got a couple of thousand page views a month. It said in the search bar and keywords everywhere, but it gets like five times that. So just keep that in mind. It’s not that accurate. Then you can also use something like ahrefs, which is what I highly recommend.

It is a costly keyword tool. Have that in mind, maybe it’s a good idea to get that later later on down the track when you’re starting to make money from your blog, you can also use something like uh, the pinterest search, so you can go into pinterest, but what I recommend getting started With is just using google, because google wants people to find content right and it wants to help them in that aspect.

So if you type in your niche topic, so for example, you choose, let’s go with butterfly garden, okay, so just for example, let’s go to google and type in something like so, if you just type in butterfly gardening and press space. Now I have keywords everywhere installed and, as you can see on the left side here, you’ve got like a search volume indication so right here. This could be a good article right here, like butterfly gardening gloves, so you can type you can create an article like the best butterfly gardening gloves.

Do a list of the top 10 talk about like how they’re the best, and then you can link to the product on amazon and get amazon affiliates set up where you can make commissions from each time someone buys and if you’re ranking number one in google. For this keyword, i’m going to get into this a bit later on, but there is a sandbox period when you’re starting a blog and it takes a bit of time to get started but, for example, like um.

This is just one example of keyword. Research now uh the course I took for blogging at income school project 24. They show you some much more in-depth strategies towards how you can do keyword. Research like this, using just google, which is completely free, uh the course isn’t free, of course, but the strategy is free, which is what I highly recommend. If you want to check out that course it’s linked down below.

I am an affiliate, so I get a commission from that, but there is some really in-depth sort of keyword. Research strategies in that course that are really amazing is what I just used for doing my blog and it’s giving me really good results. But let’s blog articles – and this is what I recommend when starting out when creating content – is to create blog posts around very specific questions – uh, that not many people are trading articles about so, for example, what are the best plants for butterfly gardening? That’s that could be, you know pretty popular uh blog topic.

If you know what I mean, is it good to have butterflies in your garden? What is the purpose of a butterfly garden that could be a good blog post right there, so you can write a blog post about that now, obviously you’re going to have competition, so you need to weigh up whether or not you can rank for this or not. If you know what I mean so yeah, you want to do keyword, research, that’s just one strategy and it goes a lot more in depth.

That could be a completely whole different article, but you want to figure out what people are searching for, create blog posts about that start, ranking on google – and I must say this is going to be step number six create more content. You want to also promote your content, and the whole idea here is just to get more traffic, but my main emphasis on in this article, with starting a blog, is just to create more content.

You need to just create, create, create, create, create can’t emphasize that enough. When I first started off my blog uh, the first two months I barely got out, I think it was 10 articles. Uh it’d be great to see. You know if you’re starting a blog to get out like 30 plus articles over two months or even 60 articles. Just write an article a day really commit in the early stages of your blog. That was a mistake that I made.

I didn’t write enough articles early on because there is this sandbox period, like I mentioned earlier in google, where google doesn’t trust you, yet it doesn’t know what you’re all about. So if you can create a heap of content, it starts to give google this idea that oh, it’s we’ve got a serious blogger here and they’re adding value. Let’s start ranking their stuff, normally takes six to eight months.

I found around eight months before you can start seeing any results on your blog traffic specific results, so you need to be prepared for that half a year to eight month period of nothing. You know what I mean like you’re, not going to see much traffic at all, because it takes that long for google to start trusting you and for your articles to start ranking in google. Now you can sort of speed up this process if you like, not recommended.

If you want a long-term traffic sort of generating strategy, you can use the likes of social media like facebook and instagram, but really those platforms are starting not to work as much because they’re wanting their audiences to stay on their platforms so linking out to your blog, They don’t like that and they’re sort of cutting down on it, which is you know, not great, but I would recommend pinterest is almost a mix between a search engine and a social platform, so you can go to pinterest and if you’re, in those blogs that are Like diy home, decor recipes those sort of blogs uh those sort of niches work really well with pinterest, so you can start putting out pinterest pins.

That’s where a lot of bloggers get most of their traffic from is just pinterest. I’r not sure if I recommend it. I would probably recommend the longer term strategy, which is google search once you get something to rank in google. Google is a monster right, so everyone searches something on google. It’s like the number one place to go to find something out. So if you can get up there number one for a keyword, you’re going to stay there for a very long time and that’s the goal once you get ranked up the top, it’s a long term play where you’re just going to get this certain amount of traffic Month after month, it might dip and might get more traffic each month, but it’s going to be consistent and that’s where you’re going to get your passive income, because if you’re ranking there in google, the passive income comes in month month after month.

You know what I mean, so that’s the strategy right there is to go for the google seo and ranking number one on google. Also I didn’t mention but youtube as well. Youtube I found is pretty good um. It’s all it’s like a visual search of google. If you know what I mean and then also you can uh, if you do youtube articles, you can get them to rank in. You know right up there in the google search as well, which is also good, so youtube, google and pinterest is what I would focus on the most when you’re starting off your blog um.

If your blog is in that those those niches that work well with pinterest, not every niche works in pinterest, but you know like the home decor and lifestyle blogs and all that kind of stuff does really well so have that in mind. But if you’re starting a blog, just write content, you need to write content that people need help. People in your niche be a service to others. Uh, you know just add value, and that is how you’re going to get the traffic trust me.

That is how it works. Okay, so step number seven is to start making money from your blog. This is where it gets exciting. So it’s going to take a few months before you start seeing any income at all. I think it took me I i’m guessing here, but maybe four five, maybe four or five months before I started seeing my first couple of dollars coming in. Yes, it’s a long term game right. It’s not get rich overnight.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JeDbCXpbtyM

It’s going to take some time if you’re in it, for the long haul you’re going to be successful. Trust me not to give up. Okay, like you need to be committed to this. If it’s your passion right, you’re, writing about what you enjoy. It’s probably not going to feel like work right and you’re, going to have more energy to keep going and keep plugging away to create content. So also on the content. You want to try and set a goal for 100 plus articles on your website before you can start to expect any money.

To be honest with my blog, I had 180 articles on there before I started to see that 4 000 a month. If you can manage to write 180 articles in a couple of months, you’re not going to expect to make four thousand dollars, you know what I mean the next month. It takes a few months half a year or so before your articles start ranking. And if you do the keyword, research correctly and you’re targeting keywords that people are searching for that isn’t very competitive and you’re finding those cracks, then you can, you know, expect to see some pretty awesome results.

But when it comes to making money, I make money from my blog in two ways at the moment: it’s through ads and it’s through affiliate commissions, which is what I was touching on a bit earlier. So ads number one. I wouldn’t recommend using google adsense in the beginning stages because it’s just pennies on the dollar and it’s really not worth it. In my opinion, in the beginning stages you blog you’re not going to get much traffic and using adsense to monetize it.

They don’t pay. You much in the beginning anyway, even if you have a lot of traffic, so it’s just going to be sense, really not worth it. You wan na wait until you get 25 sessions a month. I don’t know what that is in page views, but 25 sessions. You want to try and get to that goals, try and set that as your first goal for traffic. So then you can start to put ads on your site and then you want to reach out to someone like mediavine and agency, like company, that puts ads on your website and they pay you pretty good money.

For you know each thousand sessions you get to your website so try and aim for 25 sessions in the beginning, and then once you hit 100 000 page views, you might want to change over to add thrive or just stick with mediavine. I use add thrive for my website because I get over a hundred thousand page views per month and it’s pretty good money, i’m making around twenty dollars per thousand people I get to the website or thousand page views I get to the website.

So just from ads. My website makes around you know: 2 000 us dollars a month with the 100 000 page views that it gets now. I’ve heard people making 30 plus per thousand page views, which is incredible now in the early stages of setting up your add thrive, account or mediavine account the rpms or the earnings per thousand, aren’t going to be the greatest they’re going to take a bit of time. For you again to find that rhythm and stuff like that, but once you um get going like i’ve been on anthra for just under or just over a month, so i’m still seeing that you know early stage period of rpm growth over time.

So that’s a passive way to make the money. So once you write the articles, you can sit back and just collect ad earnings month after month. If you’re, you know getting enough traffic in which is great and then you have affiliate commissions, and then you also have selling your own products, which are all sort of a passive way to make money. Once you do the work it kind of keeps coming in and then you can also do sponsored blog posts as well, which is you know, takes some work to do.

Um, it’s not as passive. I don’t do that. I don’t even sell my own products, yet I just do affiliate as well as the ads so with affiliate. You want to, like I said, before, write articles about the best 10 butterfly garden, gloves list the 10 gloves write about them, then link to them. You can use amazon affiliates, they just cut their commissions right down in pretty much half, so you make half the commissions that you did, which is terrible, but i’m still on amazon associates, and I still do that.

It’s not as much you might want to reach out to brands that are selling the products and you want to go to their website and look right down the bottom, and sometimes I have an affiliate link down the bottom. Then you want to reach out to them and and sign up to their affiliate program. If they have it now, some don’t you might want to just like search brand and then affiliate program in google and see if they have it.

That way, it’s hard to find it takes a bit of working out to find if they have an affiliate program if you’re liking an outdoors niche or something like that dot com has an affiliate rei for me is where I make a lot of my commissions, and It’s almost like four or five percent, so, for example, if you sell a bike for over a thousand dollars, you know that’s some pretty good commissions there. So that’s just an example, but you can also go into like share a sale commission junction and those these other things.

I’ve never used them. Some bloggers do, but you know I don’t really use them. I use event link, which is that’s actually. What you guys should check out is event link. This is where rei is set up with so they’re like the middleman between the online seller and you as the content creator. So they sit in the middle there and they join up to a lot of online retailers. And then you can search their in-depth collection that they have there and find whatever brand you’re looking for and if they’re on there they’ll be on there.

So that’s also another way. I definitely recommend checking that out. But then again you can sell your own products once you start getting traffic into your website, which is also good. You know, create your own ebook and course, and do that kind of stuff, which is what i’m working on with my blog at the moment. I want to create a a book and a course to help my audience a lot more in depth, so that’s also something else to think about and then, if you’re, if it is a digital product, obviously you can sell as many as possible.

You don’t need to print out books to ship them out and worry about all that stuff, like you would with a physical product. That’s also another one. You can sell physical products, which is something that I might be considering a bit later on down the track as well, but yeah guys that’s about it um you can also do sponsored blog posts. I don’t do any of that. I’ve also heard that’s a good way to make some income as well, but yeah guys.

Hopefully, this article was helpful if it was make sure to give us a thumbs up, drop a comment down below if you’re getting started with your own blog and you want to start making some income, I definitely recommend getting started and doing something around your passion. It’s a it’s an incredible way to make money from something that you know a lot about, or something that you’re passionate about.

So keep that in mind that thanks guys for reading and i’ll see you in the next one bye

Integrated Marketing Campaigns – An introduction

Before we start, let us just list the learning goals for this article. The goal is to understand what integrated markets in communications or campaigns means why we need to know about it and how we could go about using it. We will do this through establishing a general understanding of the essence and actual purpose of integrated marketing campaigns and it’s connection to the marketing mix.

Secondly, we will provide an overview of some additional available tools and theories. We as marketers can use when designing an integrated marketing campaign. So let us begin what is the purpose and essence of an integrated marketing campaign and what is the connection to the rest of the marketing mix? When you are asked to design the marketing mix, you need to make decisions on four or seven core elements, also known as the four of the seven P’s.

First of all, any issues concerning the product. This would include packaging and all other elements in connection with the products. Secondly, a decision on price. Thirdly, you will need to decide on the choice of place through which blogs will you distribute the product or service? We also need to make a plan of which promotional activities we will carry out, and this is where we talk about using integrated marketing campaigns if we’re dealing with an offering that is better described as a service or perhaps a product that includes large elements of service.

We might also want to look at the additional three P’s, the people that are involved in delivering the service, the process that our customers will go through in order to receive our service and the physical evidence any visible or tangible elements that the customer will see. Here. Point other ways experience when receiving the service. None of the four of the seven piece should be decided on in isolation.

However, promotion is the P which we will focus on in this article. So let us look at what an integrated marketing campaign is and why we as marketers need to know about it. We will use this cafe as an example. It is located in a large city close to a busy High Street. It is called the French cafe and it specializes in serving high quality, cakes and desserts. Let us imagine that the French cafe has asked us to help them design a campaign in order to increase sales.

The owner suggests three promotional activities and he’s keen to hear our thoughts. Firstly, he thinks that a TV commercial on national television would be great. Secondly, he wants to give discount vouchers to customers when they pay their bill. Thirdly, he would like to encourage customers to review the cakes online as marketers. We know that, before being able to give him any feedback or suggestions for an integrated marketing campaign, we would want to find out some more details.

First of all, we would like to know his objectives with the campaign. What does he want to achieve? He stated he wanted an increase in sales, but by how much and during which time frame, and would he like existing customers spend more? Does he want to attract a new target group or perhaps he wants to increase market share by stealing customers from the competition? If we don’t clarify the French cafes objectives, we are unlikely to carry out an effective campaign.

So let us say that the French cafes aiming for an increase in turnover by a hundred thousand euros over a six month period and that they want to steal customers from the competition. Another core element in planning a successful integrated marketing campaign is knowledge about the chosen target group. We need to know who they are and what makes them tick. For this short article, let us just give a brief description of the French cafes chosen primary target group.

They are 35 to 50 year old women who are out shopping with their girlfriends. They choose quality of a price they eat out, often, and although they will never admit to it its importance them that they are seen in the right places. This information is also valuable to us in more detailed planning regarding choice of specific media timings and the creation of the actual messages. This will enable us to carry out an effective campaign.

We are also keen on knowing the budget available to us. Let us say that the French cafe has allocated 5000 euros for this campaign. Knowledge about the rest of the marketing mix is also important. The French cafe serves high quality, cakes and desserts, created by educated confectioner’s prices are the level of high-end restaurants. The cafe is run by the owner himself and it’s located in a busy shopping area of the city.

The service and process is of a high standard and the interior matches. This will also guide us in the design of the integrated marketing campaign. So there must be a clear connection between the chosen activities and the objectives. What we want to achieve between the chosen activities in the target group. Will we catch the target group in the right place with the right message between the chosen activities in the budget and finally, we must make sure that the chosen activities, our choice of media and content, supports the rest of the marketing mix.

Another, and perhaps the most central aspect of the integrated approach is whether the different promotional activities are interconnected. Do they support each other? Maybe the different activities are aimed at different parts of the target group. Has timing been considered, or maybe they engage with the target group in different ways in different situations at different times or in different places? Is there perhaps a combination of online and offline activities? Does the combination of activities create synergy? So let us look at the promotional activities suggested by the owner of the French cafe: do they integrate with the objectives the target group budget and the marketing mix? Do the promotional activities interconnect as timing or synergy been considered? We can probably agree that we should be able to come up with a more integrated campaign than this.

So what might we suggest? One idea could be to encourage customers to review their French. Cafe experience not just the cakes, depending on some research on the type groups, media habits, a suitable online platforms such as TripAdvisor or similar could be used. We could prompt the customers to take part when visiting the cafe by personal contact and buy different types of print. We might also encourage them to post a review on selected social media platforms again depending on some research of the target groups – media habits.

In this way we would combine online and offline promotion. We would interact with the target group in various situations, various places and at various times this increases the likely success of an integrated marketing campaign. The allocated budget allows us to do more, so pause the article for a minute and consider what you might suggest in order to fulfill the objectives of this integrated marketing campaign.

We have now established the purpose of an integrated marketing campaign, what it is and why we need to know about it, and we have established that there are many factors about interconnections which we need to look at to ensure our campaign benefits from the synergy of an Integrated marketing communications approach, so let us move on in addition to the factors we have just discussed. We as marketers have some additional tools and theories.

We can use to guide us when creating an integrated marketing campaign. These will not be described in detail in this article, but let us just introduce an overview of some of those tools and theories we might want to use. We could use the framework for designing integrated marketing campaigns to guide us through the process. We should get to know the different promotional tools available to us, such as advertising sales promotions and so on, and we should study the advantages and disadvantages of each tool.

We have many media blogs at our disposal, such as the internet, mobile outdoor print and many others. So we should also investigate them in more detail, including the pros and cons of each. We also need to be very clear on the differences between push and pull strategy, as well as profile positioning strategy. We should learn more about how to create a good message. We might need to involve an ad or a media agency and therefore we would need to create a design brief, also known as a case or campaign brief.

We have now established an understanding of the purpose of integrated marketing campaigns. The different factors that make a campaign integrated and last we have presented an overview of some additional tools and theories available to us when designing an integrated marketing campaign, to learn more about integrated marketing campaigns and how to use the different tools and theories introduced. In this article, I recommend that you read chapter 14 in David Jabba and Fiona illest at wigs principle and practice of marketing manager.

Best Social Media Post Scheduler in 2020

It’s really awesome and I’m going to show you a program that I like to use where you can go in and schedule. Obviously, there’s tons of them out there. You can go out and do your research, but the one I’m going to show you today is called lumely, and this is the one that I use.

This is my favorite one of my favorites anyway, and I’m going to show you what it looks like and give you an idea of what scheduling your posts can do in your life. Alright, let’s go ahead and get started, so is: is posting on social media eating up your time, you’re trying to post to Twitter to Instagram to Facebook? Of course, if you’re brand new, you probably shouldn’t be posting to so many places, but maybe you’ve already got these platforms established and then you decided to start your business and there’s lots of reasons.

People have to do what’s best for them, so you’re in a dilemma. I you know even posting to one platform and being a what, if I could tell you, you could post out everything in one month in one day and then not even have to mess with them. That’s what this does for you. So, even if you’re only home one platform, this could be your thing. So let’s go ahead and look at lumely and see what it does and let’s try to get rid of some of that frustration.

Lumely makes your posting look like this, so you can go in and I’m going to show you how I’m not going to go in real detail like step by step and give you a tutorial, because every every software tool that you buy will have that. And you can follow it as you’re using it, but I want to show you what it looks like and let you see how easy it is. But this is what attracted me to lumely. I love third layout.

Here’s a layout of a calendar, so I’m going to show you the steps and what you can do to put your post in and see how easy it is. But then I want you to see. This is what it looks like when you go to your schedule. To your calendar, you can say: do I have enough scheduled for January? Do I have enough scheduled for March, and you can see exactly what you have scheduled and say you know what I might want to pop some in over here on January, 4th, the 9th or 10th, or something like that.

So this gives you a visual, and I personally am very very visual. I need to see what it looks like when it’s all put together. So that’s what attracted me was the calendar um. So where do we go from there right here? You can create a calendar, and this is what it looks like it’s step by step and when you set the calendar up, this is a cool thing too. You can have more than one calendar. So if you happen to be running a business, an agency and posting social media for other people, guess what those people are using they’re using a tool just like this they’re going to go into their clients, accounts and set up all their social media.

For the next three or four months and then go work on the next one, so you could even start a job doing this as a social media, scheduler or an agency. So you go in and you schedule your new calendar and again it takes you step-by-step, and it gives you a an opt-in that it says current scheduling options. It gives you different options that you can go to, and it’s example right here. You can start a new calendar or you can pop into your other calendars, so maybe you’re on five or six different social media platforms.

So let’s say you’re on Facebook and Twitter and Pinterest and LinkedIn and Instagram. So you have five. You can look at individual calendars for them or you can look at the whole calendar of everybody together or you can make calendars for your clients for other people. Why would you want to do that? Well, maybe there are certain things you didn’t want to put on. Instagram, but you did want to put on Facebook and things like that, but I’m going to show you how simple it is.

If you have one post that you want to share every place, I used to think when I was brand new well. Why would I want to share the same post on all of my social media platforms? Then everybody’s going to see the same post, but once you start building an audience, everybody is not on all of your platforms. You have your Instagram people, you have your Facebook people, your YouTube people, there’s different people on different platforms.

Now somebody’s really stalking you and they absolutely love you well and they’re, just going to get a dose of five times the same thing that’s just with, and hopefully they’ll realize that and stop being on everything, that’s their choice, so you can do that now notice here On Instagram Instagram does not allow people to schedule their post, Instagram wants people to be live and active and engaged and present.

So what you can do is schedule your posts in lumely and then lumely will notify you and say: hey, don’t forget to hit this button and post your Instagram post. So you can plan them and schedule them, but you have to manually go onto your phone or whatever for Instagram and hit the button and post it, but it is still nice that you can have it all planned out. You don’t have to keep thinking about him.

That’s the nice thing about your business. You want to start learning how to focus on certain tasks and do as much as you can bulk and then go focus on something else. Alright set your workflow, so here you can set how your workflow will be set up. So you can have an original workflow, a light workflow and a zero at workflow. Zero means that you don’t have to have anything approved the other workflows it.

You can put some parameters in there like maybe, if you’re running a business you might want it to go. Have the Creator create it, then you might want to have your QA person check it and then your third person is going to go ahead and post it or something like that. So that’s your workflow. If you’re just doing it yourself – and you don’t need anybody to approve it, then you’re going to pick the one down here at the bottom, so you create a new calendar.

It’s very very easy! You can see the steps here again, I’m not going to sit here and do it obviously. But I want you to see but posting details now when you go to do a post, you’re going to give go ahead and follow the directions step by step and as you’re following them and you set a pose so right here. Here’s all your post details, you’re going to say I want it on Pinterest. I want it on LinkedIn and you pick which social media platforms that you want it on.

When you set up your account, you tell lumely which accounts you have and you have to integrate them again. Every post doesn’t have to go on every platform, but this is the neat thing. When it does, it will allow you to go in and week the content. So obviously, when you put something on Pinterest and you put something on Facebook, the size of the picture is different, and maybe what you want to say, you want to tweak it a little bit differently.

Facebook. You might have this lengthy thing that you’re going to say about that post and maybe you have a shorter version, you’re going to put on Pinterest or Instagram, so you go in and it’s going to say. This is what it looks like on each of these platforms. How do you want to tweak it, and then you tweak it? But the neat thing is your one piece of content. So, if you’re on YouTube, but a lot of youtubers do is like well Monday, you might make all your YouTube articles and then, throughout the week you’re going to make sure you post it on all your platforms and get it out there and one way to do It is to schedule it out ahead of time.

Alright, and here you can fine-tune your blogs or or your each of your tweaks, each of your posts. It’s raining here and I just had a big thunder thing and it just made me jump sorry about that. It kind of took me off, hopefully we’ll make it through this article, alright, and then you can set age restrictions. Probably I typically don’t anybody can read what I have, but if you have something that needs to be restricted, some people do you have that ability to do that? This is something I like to the dashboard look.

How easy and user-friendly this dashboard is everything you need is right there. It tells you exactly what it is and you can just click it and go into that area. I love again that it’s all very visual. It’s not some tabs off to the side that I have to figure out what those titles mean. I can look at and go yeah. You know that. I I understand that I see what that is. So again, it’s just a preference.

Here’s your calendar again! Wonderful user friendly visual for your calendar and again you can go out six months at a time. If you want to now. You might say: okay, I’m going to sit here and I’m going to schedule all of my stuff out for six months. But what if I scheduled everything from January to June – and here it is March – and maybe there was something I wanted to post well, you can still go in there live you can still.

If you found something, maybe that you want to share you’re an affiliate marketer – and you didn’t want to wait till June to start sharing this particular product or content about it, go share it. You can go in there at any time and change the schedule. It’s not set, but the work, the bulk of the work is done, and you don’t have to have that hanging over your head every week I got to get in there so many times a week.

You don’t have to worry about it anymore. Here’s another view that they have as well. It lets you see what your posts are where they’re at and it’s just a different type of view instead of a calendar view, but again it’s a very visual lets. You see what pictures thanks you’re using and where did you post it and what your copy is. The part you write, your words is called your copy and, and you can see the posts and not just the schedule, so that’s cool too and maybe you’ll go in.

There say you know what I don’t like that picture, I’m going to change it and change it up, or maybe you had a particular post that had a lot of engagement and you want to talk about the same subject, but maybe elaborate on something and change. The pictures out of that the neat thing about posting too, is once they’re posted. They go into an archive. You can go back and recycle your work, so I know a couple: people have been around for a long time.

They will schedule things six months at a time and then they have like four sets of posting that they do and they just keep recycling it. So when they go back to recycle, they may go in and tweak it update it. It’s ready to go again, so it can save you a lot of time and if it’s something you don’t like to do, it’s all you know something you can hire hire it out. Let somebody else do it now. This is neat for Facebook.

You can choose your target audience and promote them on Facebook, so it isn’t an ad you’re, not really paying for an ad, but it works like an ad. So if you have a particular post on Facebook and you want to target an audience, this is awesome. You can use this in lumely, so Facebook will post it to people that would be most interested in, and you know how it is you’re sitting in your house talking to your spouse or one of the kids about a pic particular dog food that you like, and All of a sudden there’s commercials on TV, it’s all over your Facebook, because somebody out there heard you that you liked a particular dog food that happened.

It’s nice all the time, but that’s what marketing is and we’re in a technology world and so you’ll be part of it. You can find those people that, like what you’re, promoting and Facebook will put it right in front of their face, and again this is just a little over all of you for you. You know to see I wanted to let you know too, that you’re probably thinking yes, but how am I going to come up with all these ideas? You don’t have to worry about it.

Lumely has a whole library of quotes. They have pictures in their media library that you can use. You can change your text and all that again, I’m not even going into the mechanics of how to make a post I’m showing you what it does, but if you’ve ever used canva and you’ve made a post there. A lot of that is available to you right here in lumely as well, and you can still go get your own pictures, but it’s there.

If you can’t think – and you need stuff available right away – it’s all there right for you and other things that lumely does. It brings up ideas for you. It brings up, quotes the media library just like I was talking, and it also has analytics. So if you want to see which one which posts we’re getting more engagement, more views, you can get analytics attached to your post as well, which is any time you’re doing marketing.

You want your analytics, so I’m going to pull up the pricing, and I want you to see here some of the different pricing there. There is a 15-day free trial, which I love any time you use any software use the free trial if you’re seriously. Looking for a scheduler find two or three that you want to check out, make sure they all have that free trial use the free trial and just make sure you go in and cancel your membership.

If you’re trying out two or three of them, you could try them all out at the same time and go in and out and then cancel two and pick the one you want, but the I always make sure that I, like the one I want the first Month, I’ll go ahead and pay the monthly fee. If I’m positive that that’s what I like, then I just go ahead and get the yearly, because you can save a lot of money that way, but this one here the base, the cheapest, the lowest level, can have two users.

So you can have somebody helping you with you helping you with this. If you hire somebody and then you have 10 accounts, that means 10 different social media accounts. So even if you have like 3 Facebook pages, all three of those could be on there. So that’s pretty cool, there is, and you can run ads if you want to the only thing with this one. Well, you just want to look at what each one has and I think that, obviously the higher you go.

You can get into custom branding and things like that. If you’re running a business you’re going to want a you know some of these more advanced than premium and enterprise, and things like that, those are for people running a business. But again, if that’s something you’re thinking about this is the way to go. It’s not if you’d love to be on social media and you’d love to post turn it into a business and do what you love to do more than anything gosh.
