Ultimate Web Design: ClickFunnels demo with Brian McFarlane

I’ve got Brian McFarland, brian is part of the pro group and he’s been using this quite a bit recently. So brian has very kindly agreed to give us a bit of a whistle-stop tour, so we’re going to be looking at what it does and input.

More importantly, where and when you might use this okay, so Brian thank thank you again for taking the time to show us around good afternoon been hi, so I’m just what I wanted to do. First. Do is just wait to give you an overview of why why I chose click models and why I think it’s the best choice for for what we do. Obviously, for the business that I’m in, I have to produce a lot of landing pages for clients.

I’r not particularly I’m marketing savvy, but i’m not particularly a good programmer. So that’s not really in my skill set, so I started to look for solutions out there. That would allow me to quickly put up professional landing pages without having to do any heavy programming, and that wasn’t necessarily the case with applications like unbalanced and landing pages. And you know when you want to be able to adjust an element on the page and with a drag-and-drop WYSIWYG editor.

Most of these applications did had limitations on what you could do with them and didn’t allow for an intuitive interface that you could easily just create things. So with that being said on, what I wanted to do is take you through a live sample of a real client that I have right now that we have created a simple two-step landing page for so with that said, this is the interface for a click funnels.

The main dashboard, where all your accounts would be held for this particular account. I believe they currently sell it for ninety seven dollars a month as as of this date, you’ll have up to ten thousand visits with the accounts. You can create up to 40 pages and you can create up to 10 funnels with this particular account. Okay, so that’s one likes a maximum of 40 pages, 10 fun or 10 funnels right.

Ten thousand visits a month exactly, and I think they obviously have a tiered stressing model that you can obviously go to the click funnels com website and and obviously, at the end of this session Ben, can give you a link to that and that will you know, Take you there to get information on on the pricing structure if you’re, if you’re interested in pursuing this later yeah. So with that being said, so, let’s just have a quick look at one of the existing funnels that I’ve set up.

Just to give you an overview of the capabilities, so this is a simple opt-in with a Thank You page, follow up and in this interface you can see quickly below that. You have the overall and obviously, this campaign just started on october. Third, and actually we’re not even it’s not officially started, we’ve got the landing page setup we’re in the approval stage with the client and as soon as the client signs off on this particular landing page that i’m showing you then we’ll be able to activate the adwords Campaign for it and obviously do some split testing so, as you can see, we’re just testing it right now and we’ve already got an eight point: three percent conversion rate showing up and you can set up split testing with this.

So I haven’t really created one, but you can hear you’ve got an email component here, so you can set up your email marketing and you can connect it to applications like MailChimp plan fusion soft many, many of the the applications that use to having integration away and The major bonus for me is the ability to post the to WordPress to be able to take my landing pages and once you click here, it’s going to create an iframe, and then you just simply take this iframe and copy and paste it into your text.

Tab landing page and that will automatically create it. Obviously I’ll tell you guys a little bit later on in this article. The process that I use to get around a workaround that click funnels has in place where you have to create a custom white page to support your I frame, which I find again as it’s a technical difficulty that some people will encounter. That may cause some grief that I’ve found to work around.

So so that’s it I mean that’s and then now if we want to start editing this actual page, normally what we would do is we from the start. We would just simply create a funnel and would give us a standard design and then what i’ve done here is i’ve gone in and added in a specific elements. So I put in the logo of the client, which is here it’s just a question of just going into the editor and uploading the image just as simple as this upload image of, and once you up click on upload.

The image you’ll see that you’ll have a list of images here and then you just add the image to to the the page, and it will show up in the background here or sorry. The local show up here and then go so. The other element that I put in for this particular campaign was provided by service called call rail, which is a trackable whole number. The beauty of this is call rail, gives you up to 10 local call numbers.

You can also get a 1-800 number with their service. It works in both Canada and the United States um. I know that that for Ben is me being in the UK. I’r not sure if call rail provides service, but there are some web services available in the UK if you’re in the UK, but essentially the beauty of this car rail allows you to create an embeddable tracking ode in the settings of your website. That will enable you to track this in Google Analytics if you set up goals for phone calls, and we also will set up a goal for tracking the the thank you page.

That is part of this form. So that’s the beauty of that on all these. Every single field – that’s here, is editable, so if you go into other applications like leadpages, some areas are very fixed. You can’t adjust anything. You can’t change the color of a background. You can’t change an icon. It has very granular detail if you’re not happy with this. If I want to change this specific color of the button to my particular branded of color, I can do so in this case um for the client.

They wanted the headboard, which is in the background here they wanted to be the same color as the text. So what did I do? I just took a sampling of that color and couldn’t adjusted the the aesthetic so that it it matched up with the brand aesthetic. Oh, that’s, actually a really good design. Point barn. You know too there’s something that I’ll very often do is actually start with a photo. If I’m trying to pick a color scheme for my scene, if I want to customize it, if I’ve got the photo, then I will first look at that at that main cover photo to try and pick out a few colors and if you’ve got photoshop, you can Pixelh8 your image in photoshop and it’ll actually reduce it to a certain number of squares.

That’s a really nice neat little trick yeah and what are the issues that I ran into, which was a little bit of a technical glitch with this particular platform was example: i’m editing this button and see this area here where it says scroll option. I wanted to see it’s got a drop-down menu of the actions that you want, so I wanted this particular this particular button. Instead of going through to the form or the pop-up, I decided that I just wanted to scroll to the opt-in area, which is further up on the page.

So I saved it and then, if I go into preview here – and I loaded up my page, if I scroll down to where this is – let me just go out so you can see. This is how the page would actually look to the viewers. So if I go down i’ll just click on this and you can see, the scrolling effect is not happening. It’s not when I click on this. It should just simply scroll up to this position and allow me to fill in the form.

So there are a few little bugs. Obviously, on the software is not absolutely perfect, but it’s getting really close and those those little bugs um, you know just put in a ticket for them and they seem to get resolved they’re pretty good. At responding on. I put in a ticket this morning and they already you know they. They responded and I expect to get an answer tomorrow on resolving that unless you and obviously you know if I was a programmer, I could go in and probably fix that little that little issue um pretty easily, but I’m not.

But I was just thinking won’t link to be patient yeah. If one thing you might try is literally just just put in a pound sign on its own, as as the link that may that may work, you’d have to do that in the editor basic. It’s really interested in this editor because there’s there’s a kind of general rule that the more control and flexibility you have, the more complexity. You you, you know it comes along with it and therefore the bigger the learning curve.

Now, what we’re finding is that the very best products or platforms or editors that we’re finding now they don’t seem to suffer as much as you know, some of the other ones who user interfaces are so well designed that it really doesn’t feel like. There’s any learning curve at all. I’ve certainly found that, because I haven’t used this one, but I’ve used thrive. Content builder recently, which – and you know very, very much a fan of and in oblique, but what’s interesting about clickfunnels, I think compared to particularly leadpages, is, I think you alluded to earlier on league pitchers.

Doesn’t let you insert your own stuff, your own content in there? It gives you a template and you can edit the content, but you can’t add new stuff in there so well. This is it like, if you want to add visual elements, if you want to change the background color of something, if you want to brand it or make it your own leadpages makes it that process more difficult, because they only give you a certain level of flexibility.

Unbound gives you flexibility, but requires YouTube to have at least a strong knowledge in HTML and CSS, and to enable YouTube to do customization the difference with clickfunnels is it gives the user the layman, the person who is just just new to this. This, like myself, of working with these kind of applications, a very easy intuitive way to build a professional in landing page without you know, without bleeding about it, and the other aspect here is it give someone like yourself and who has 25 years experience the ability to Um to do very micro changes yeah and be able to if you do things that yeah yeah, if you want it, I mean I, when I I completely redid the whole web design from scratch theme the other weekend and that literally has 20 lines of CSS.

That’s the only custom CSS that I’ve done so the bottom line is that, even if you do have the skills – and you are capable of doing this detailed customization, do you even need to yeah? I have those skills and I really don’t tend to use those skills. If I can avoid using it, so yeah very, very impressive on this, so what are we looking at now, so we wanted to talk briefly about integration with third-party software um.

In this case, what we’re trying to do is obviously um part of our process. If we were going back to the methodology that we are that you’re teaching been about circle review and about modern mantra, monitoring and iteration, we really want to understand and be able to track all of what we’re doing here. So google, google code, 44 tracking, this particular outcome – is that we want to do two things we want to set up a UTM code within Google Analytics it’ll enable us to track this, and we need to embed that tracking code directly in our Thank You page.

So that’s what I’ve done here! I’ve just simply copied and pasted this UTM code directly from my my Earl builder in Google Analytics, and I just simply copy and paste it in here and now I’m able to go into my google analytics and set up a trackable goal in there for the thank You page, and also for our call real account where we’re tracking the phone numbers the benefit to the user is that we can now create split testing where we can put two phone numbers up against each other.

Maybe um change up a particular headline or a particular statement that we’re making as a call to action and just test them against each other to see which one performs the other, but the beauty of that is you know if we, if we’re getting 15 calls from One end, and only two from the other: well maybe that adds outperforming the other one and we should we should not be spending as much money on those keywords for the poorly performing phone call add.

So so that’s the benefit of that and, as I said before, um if we were to look at email integration you can see here. I haven’t set up the thank you page to have an email integration because it’s not really the form. So, in order for me to do that, um, like example, if this was a form all I would have is I just go down to where my MailChimp account is – is previously set up here – click male chip list.

I want to add this list to my set to my list and I want to get in touch with list from Colin and now you can see I’m connected. So now it’s already connected to my mail chimp API. This took me to second, like you know, five seconds to do on the cliq funnel side and it the first time I did it in MailChimp. It took me about five minutes to get it set up with no experience at all and the next time I did.

It took me about two minutes to do. Yeah. I’ve done a similar thing recently, also with MailChimp and the the the integration. The ease of integration with these leading platforms is is really very easy nowadays, yeah there’s. No. You know like one of the things that I and this is even as much as maybe six months ago, you had to do all these special integrations. You had to build yet to be building and managing all these paid tools.

Outside of you know, you had to have a leadpages account. You had to have a MailChimp account. You had to have all these paid accounts, and now click funnels is giving you that ability to have a one-stop shop for all of your leadpages and the benefit. Here too, is you don’t even need a website anymore? You could run you could set up um here I’ll. Take you out to on. Let me just go back out here, okay, so it’s like that this was a lucky so short funnel just it was a squeeze page with a form and a sign up, but you’re, also tracking telephone conversions, which is really really important exactly so.

It it’ll support some much kind of longer or more complex types of funnels here, yeah and, and the big thing that people have to be aware of is that I think it’s close to sixty percent of all transactions or or related purchases of services or products are Now being done from mobile devices, so you just can’t ignore that market anymore. One of the and one of the caveats here is that they haven’t overcomplicated this I no and leadpages leadpages has a lot of choices right now and it’s it’s adding a layer of complexity to an application that doesn’t need to be complicated, and I think that’s the Big benefit of clip funnel, since they did really they really dumb down the process simplified.

How to set up your sales funnels right from the get-go and they’ve. Given you in there in this particular package that, given you an opt-in, lead funnel sales funnel a webinar funnel auto webinar, funnel membership funnel a launch funnel and a cut of the custom funnel now, if I’m, I think you have to upgrade to get access to the Custom cut off – i’m not mistaken, but let’s just look at at. Obviously, the process for something like you’re doing been where, where you’re getting people to become members of your of your tribe, there’s a simple registration signup form here that can be tied into stripe, account or paypal, and you have your membership area, so you can actually create A membership area from this is up this tool.

It’s it’s that it’s that straightforward and that can be done not in days or weeks, but in in an afternoon yeah. So it’s really yeah yeah. So it’s real! It’s really compress the amount of time and as if you’re a consultant, I mean as an example. I did this to page opt-in sales funnel for this client in Toronto and, let’s just say I mean I’m not going to give you the exact number I build. But what’s just saying you’d give him a number of you charge him five hundred dollars to build a landing page click funnels a cost to me is ninety seven dollars, and so I’m able to profit four hundred dollars for one hour of work.

That’s a pretty good return for me, yeah, I thought otherwise might have taken me two days yeah. If I had to home hand code that I’d be losing money, I would have to charge the client three times as much to to make to make that four hundred dollars back. So so a lot of benefits, very quick, simple, easy to use um. I can’t say enough positive things about it. The other positive thing and that’s something I should also raise is some.

If we switch over to the wordpress account, this is what you’re, seeing in the backend of WordPress. Obviously, um Ben has had previous articles on on on a theme and content builder that he is critical seems to be crazy about, and I can admit that I’m crazy about thrive themes, which the reason why I use this tool also is that that it has a Wysiwyg editor, but it also simplifies the process of integrating iframes into WordPress.

The problem with WordPress currently is when you import a an iframe into into the standard editing page of WordPress, you have to put it in this text box. You have to copy and paste your code in here and when you update it, it’s going to create a box within your page. That is looks more like a frame with a slider on it. So it really doesn’t look that pleasing to the eye. So when you look at uh, when you go into the content builder of thrive themes, you see a similar editor to what you have in clickfunnels, but the benefit here is, I can just put in a custom HTML code, which is here which will give me my.

I frame, and all I do is I just simply go into the iframe itself and add in more pixels to the height to adjust for that. This frame will fit properly and then I preview, the page and – and it looks great – you know it’s – it’s simple. It’s nice and clean, and it gives me all the elements are clearly defined and it and it works. So, as you can see, I mean I’m just doing a little test here, just to show you how nice this is working, I guess it will.

Let you specify where the fields are required, not – and you know, customers your error, messages and stuff like that. So there’s my thank you page right, mm-hm and and then everything is tracks. So if I go over to my MailChimp account and here’s my MailChimp account – and here is the subscriber Brian McFarlane who just came in from Tufts right, yeah yeah I’ll, just whisk as it’s meant it just works fluidly.

So so that’s it in a nutshell! And the nice thing about this is all you have to do is just go into your MailChimp account uh. You know maybe once a week and make sure that you know that things are coming in, as they are make sure that those emails are all forwarding to your clients or according to you and follow up with those leads and and said you know, and this client Is going to be selling a lot of real estate, fantastic, so yeah? Thank you so much for that Brian.

I think just to just to put this in some context, then, if you need a a funnel building, a squeeze funnel or not in fun or whatever I I would say this is a rip, a powerful, quite heavy weight tool, but that doesn’t mean it’s difficult to Use it looks very easy to integrate the visual editor. I love, I think its superior to leadpages visual editor by by a long way. It gives you a lot of flexibility.

It makes leadpages look like you’re kind of a quick, quick version of this, but I’m certainly very very impressed so and then you know under one hundred dollars a month each to use to set up. You know multiple funnels. I think this should be a should be a no-brainer for for many marketers you’re just got to just got to make sure you use it yeah and – and I just find like I do local pay-per-click advertising for small businesses and they all need a landing page so And they don’t have they don’t have a you know, a three thousand of five thousand dollar budget to build a website yeah, so they might just need to have an initial sales funnel for their business to get them started once you get them income coming in then They’re more likely to upgrade with you than to go somewhere else like to build they’ll, come back to me and say: okay, Brian you know are averaging really well we’re Jim we’re, making a reasonable amount of money.

We want to reinvest now. We want to upgrade we’d like to purchase a website from you, we’d like to purchase other services from you and as a consultant, it just makes my life a lot easier to be able to offer those things to people and, and that goes out to the tribe. That’s here, and also to the people who are business owners themselves, there’s only so many hours in the day and if you’re a business owner who works 12 to 14 hours a day on your business, you don’t want to be spending three days on building a landing Page, so if you have a spare hour at lunch, you can create a landing page for your business.

With this talk yeah, even if you’ve got the skills, maybe you don’t need them, you know they make some redundant and here’s what’s interesting. I mean you describe yourself as a a local pay-per-click specialist. You know so really what’s happening. It now is that we’re all becoming marketers and our job is to deliver marketing campaigns. You’ll hear this again and again: we’re delivering marketing campaigns, not websites website is just one piece and what what you’ve done here in minutes can replace a website.

You know a few years ago, people would have charged thousands literally thousands of dollars for what you’ve been able to do for under a hundred bucks in a couple of hours right, so yeah, garrick great tool definitely want to keep an eye on Brian. Email Marketing System (Automate)

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in, but it’s the most important system that you can put into place for your business. I remember when I first started and I heard about email marketing I kept thinking. I don’t want to write letters to people and I don’t want to take time to do that and I don’t want to blog and all this stuff and in as I went on my journey in in creating my company and building it.

I realized that that is the most important aspect. Actually, that’s where all the sales take place, because in that email sequence that you have sent out to your customers, you have built a relationship and they have grown to like you know you and trust you, and that is why it’s more effective. Did you know that 34 percent of people worldwide have used email and that’s like 2.5 billion people? Think about it? Do you know anybody that doesn’t have an email account? There aren’t very many people, while the the rate of using email is going up in the business industry as its declining for personal use.

People are still using it for business, so people are still looking for those sales that they get from different stores or for content and information on different companies that they’ve subscribed to. So they expect to see those types of emails in their inbox and they’re looking for them. They have the option to unsubscribe. So if you’re providing something that they’re not interested in, then they can unsubscribe.

So that’s what makes it pretty cool you don’t have to harass or spam people, and I’m going to give you seven reasons why you need to get an email account setup. First of all, you own it, you own, the customers that are on your email list. Now what I mean by this, let’s use an example of Facebook groups versus an email marketing system – that’s put into place in your email or Facebook group. You could have 10,000 20,000 30,000 followers, which is phenomenal, and maybe your have built your business to the point where you can just offer something and talk about it, maybe you’re doing affiliate marketing and right away.

You make $ 25,000 in sales. I’ve seen people do that and that that’s why Facebook groups are so awesome, but Facebook can also come along and take that group away from you. They can shut you down for any reason they want. You can try to fight it, but you have no power. You have no control and getting that back. You have no list of names when you do an email list, you have collected emails from all of your potential customers and, you might say yeah there with an autoresponder like activecampaign or Aweber, or something like that.

How am I supposed to own it? Well, you can export that list of names and then have a backup system where you put them on a Google Drive or something like that. So if that company, that software company, the autoresponder shuts down, you still have those names and you can go off and start using a different autoresponder and import those same names right into the list. I also recommend, if you understand what email marketing is to keep a list of your sequence, the emails that you’ve created, don’t only put them in the autoresponder, but keep a keep a copy of everything.

Just in case something happens and you’ve got it all that work. You don’t want to lose it all right, so you own that list. You can take it with you now you might be in multi-level marketing and you have a business built up with your company. That company can shut down for various reasons, maybe things that are beyond their control. You who have built an email Act was at lists on the side. Can once that company shuts down, you can go back to your customers and share your story and tell them that this multi-level marketing company has shut down.

You know, but we have other options and I’ve done some research, and this is something I found instead, maybe you’re in the health care industry and you everybody loves the shakes that that company provided – and you found another company that is equal or better and hey guys, Follow me here and they will, because they they’ve learned to know you like you and trust you, so you can bring that those people with you wherever you go or maybe you just decide to get into a different business.

It’s amazing how that list is yours and will stay with you now number two, it’s more effective than social media for customer acquisition, people who use emails and build that relationship with people through that email sequence are more likely to build that person into a customer than If they only use a Facebook group – and I’m not saying Facebook groups are bad at all, I know people are very very successful.

They’ve got lucrative businesses there, but think about this. Facebook again has control with all the posts that you make not every single one of your twenty thousand followers are going to see what you’re posting, when you send an email out to twenty thousand people, that the percentage of people are actually going to read it or Higher because you have a little bit more control, you’re, sending it directly to their email account and hopefully most of them go into the inbox, and there are different strategies you can use, which is another training on trying to make sure that they go into the inbox.

Where they’re supposed to go all right number three is economic and cost effective. It is very cost effective to use email. Think of the other strategies you can use to acquire customers. You can use snail mail, you can send out bulk mail in you know you at the United States Post Office the old-fashioned way you can run ads and magazines. You can run ads on Facebook. You can put something in a newspaper.

You could have telemarketing. All of those other ways are going to cost you more money than if you just hit a button and send it to your entire list. It’s so much more cost effective. So much more, it’s easier and it’s actually automated and once you put somebody into a sequence, they just keep getting the emails that you have built. That system that you have put into place. They just keep getting them and you sit back and let the system do the work.

So it’s actually a lot easier as well number, four, its personable personable, personal and customizable, and what I mean by personal. You have the ability to actually put a person’s name on that letter. I know that in the email world email marketing world, we call a newsletter, but you don’t really want it to be like a newsletter, the old way that you would think of it like a little newspaper ad.

You want it to be more of a letter to that person, and so you can be more personal in that letter. You can tell stories about yourself and why. You know how you came to the conclusion that what you’re offering them works and why it’s better than such-and-such you may offer to embed articles that you have made so that they can get more information. You can also tag them according to their interest or according to a purchases they’ve made.

So here I have a sequence that I’ve started. Everybody goes in it once adorned throughout this same sequence, but then I can tag them. Let’s say somebody purchases a course that I made well, I’m not going to keep telling them about my course. So they’re going to go off onto another sequence and I’ll start talking about something else. Okay, they’ve got the course that I’ve offered now they can start building their business and looking at such-and-such.

Instead, maybe I have I know about different interests that my different customers in my list have. Some of them want to are interested in affiliate marketing. Some of them are only listed interested in email marketing. Well, I’m not going to talk about affiliate marketing with people that aren’t interested in it. If that makes sense, even though the affiliate marketers need the email marketing, it doesn’t work the same the other way.

So I can really customize my list and my message to my clients and you just get better at it. You start out with just general lists, but then the more you grow your list and the more you take the time to get to know them. The more you can be customized that list to their interest and to what they’ve purchased number five its action-oriented you can trigger your list, like. I just said that if somebody purchases something you can trigger that person to go off onto another list that you’ve made, you can go in later and do special campaigns.

Let’s say: you’ve got everybody running through your sequence and you’ve got all your tags in there and things like that, but maybe down the road. Maybe a year after you’ve started your email sequencing system. Maybe you created a course on Facebook Ads. Maybe you started really researching something like that and you’ve grown in your skills, and maybe you created a course that you’re selling you could do a campaign and only talk about that course and then only send it to people that you think would benefit from it.

A brand new person who’s, just getting their feet wet, probably doesn’t have to need to hear a lot about Facebook ads and and everything that goes into it because it can get overwhelming. So you have the ability to do that. It’s proven that action-oriented emails are much more effective than a simple newsletter, so you always ask them to do something, and it could be as simple as like. Hey comment below you know which one of these three different autoresponders do you like best or you could do a polling or you could do a little survey and things like that within your emails, which is kind of cool number, six, I’m losing my track.

There number six, it’s measurable. If you sent out emails or mail in bulk mail, like US Postal Service, you don’t have any way to measure what happened to that those letters or even if you do a Facebook ad there’s you have some analytics, but not like you. Do in an email sequence you can run analytics. You can get statistics on how many people opened your email. You can get statistics on how many people actually clicked the link inside and did the action that you asked them to do, and you can also find out how many people unsubscribe.

If you have a high rate of unsubscribers from one particular email, you might go back and look at that and say whoa did. I say something in that email that offended people – or maybe I didn’t give enough content or something like that or maybe you’re noticing. Halfway down a lot of people stopped clicking, there’s just different things that you can see. You can measure your business and measure what’s happening in the emails and last but not least, you can do a B splitting you could send the exact same email out with two different subject lines and see which one works better.

Sometimes it’s not the content. It’s the fact that they didn’t click in and read it because the subject line wasn’t catchy enough and didn’t pique their curiosity where they wanted to go in. But you have the ability to do that and see which one works better. So those are seven reasons, or that was six and there’s seven. That was seven reasons I want to give you one more actually a little bonus, one most people when they look at their emails are sitting on a mobile device.

This is just a big huge benefit. Think of yourself, when you’re sitting in the doctor’s office or you’re sitting waiting for your kids game or something like that, most people go right to their device that they’re holding right in their hand their phone and those emails are popping in on that device. So you’re you’ve got that benefit as well. If you did all those other things that I talked about, they’re not going to be right there in right in front of them all the time like emails are so that’s another benefit of using email.

Marketing is the device of the way that we can send it to people all right. So that’s seven different reasons, plus a bonus of why email marketing is important and why you need it for your business and I’m my personal opinion is number one was the most important reason you own your customers. I can’t stress that enough because, like I said I just readed a couple that had been making six figures a month in their business, their Facebook account got shut down.

Now that this particular couple had different revenues of income set up, they didn’t rely on just one. So it didn’t shut their business down, but they definitely lost a huge avenue of income by that Facebook group being shut down, so you own it and that’s what’s important about it. I have a free course that I put together e-mail marketing one on one. Yes, it is a way of purchasing them, but it’s not just purchasing a list of names. I don’t need to do that. I don’t want to send emails to people I just don’t want to, and it wasn’t until I was probably too long before I start at my list and realized. That was a big mistake not to do even though I kept hearing how important it was. So I’m going to tell you again how important this is: it’s probably the most important part of your business. Let’s go over how you build it and then we’ll talk about why it’s so important and then I’ll show you how you can build it by buying some addresses all right.

First of all, you have a free thing that you’re going to offer a lot of times. People will offer a checklist or a PDF or an e-book a course. I think courses are one of the best things that you can offer that I notice I get most of my results from offering free courses, so the bigger that free thing is the better, and this is why it needs to be bigger, because the online marketing industry Is becoming more competitive and I’m not saying don’t do it, but you got ta out, give everybody else so think of it.

That way, what can I give that’s better than what so-and-so is giving so people will click my link instead, when you offer that free thing you’re offering it on your platform, my platform is youtube. That’s my number one platform, so I usually offer my free thing in my links on my YouTube chat: YouTube articles not every time, but probably a good percentage of the time if you’re using Facebook Instagram whatever that other platform is that you’re using that’s how you bring Traffic into the free thing now you’re going to have them land on a landing page, I use clickfunnels for my landing page.

I always have my link below if you ever want to check that out and on that landing page before they get the free thing. They have to give me their email address and their name when they click it. It triggers a little a little trigger on there. That tells them to go to my autoresponder and I send them an email and give them the free thing. Now. What is the autoresponder? An autoresponder is like your mailman and mine is active campaign and I have that trigger that.

It tells it to put it onto my email list, put it into active campaign, and then there is a sequence of emails that I’ve already built. That will go out to that person. This is where sales are made. I don’t know if you’ve already tried to spam. Most people have in the beginning, they’re so excited about their product and their new business that they start telling everybody on Facebook and on Instagram hey.

You know I’ve got this great shake, that’s going to help you lose weight and you’re so excited about it, and you know it works, but just putting it out there and telling people they’re not going to buy it they’re going to go. That’s annoying. Why are you putting this on Facebook? That’s not why I’m here, I’m here to communicate and have relationships with my friends not to be sold things and that’s why that doesn’t work and that’s why that’s called spamming.

I think we all have done that in the beginning, especially because we were so excited not because we were trying to spam, but the right way to do it is to give something for free. So if you have health and fitness, you could give a checklist of some ways to help improve your list. Maybe ways to change your mindset. Maybe you wrote a little ebook that you wanted to give them and get them on through your autoresponder onto that email list, and this is where the money is made.

You are warming them up and getting them to know you and then every once in a while. You’ll offer something and they get to know you they’re opening up your emails and they’ll say you know what I really like this person I’ve connected with them, I’m going to try that shape that she was talking about now. Look, it took a lot longer to get there, but that’s how it works. Now, how am I going to get email addresses on my email list? I’r brand new and it’s so frustrating all right.

Now, I’m going to show you this. Is you and you have your new autoresponder set up and you’ve got your sequence in there and you’ve been giving away the free thing, and maybe you’ve got about five people on it? Maybe a fifty maybe of a hundred, but you know you’re, just starting. It’s new – and here is we’re just going to say Joe over here Joe – can be a girl’s name or a boy’s name right, Joe how’s.

That and Joe has been at this for a very very long time and Joe has a huge list. Joe has been very successful in his or her business. Joe has over two hundred thousand emails, maybe five hundred thousand. Who knows how many but Joe decided I have been selling through my email list, but now my list is so big. I’r going to start sharing my lists so that other people can take advantage of the names that I have on there, but I’m going to charge them a fee.

So joe says I’ll tell you what I will sell you for every click that you get. I will charge you fifty five cents and these prices are usually roughly forty cents to like 80 cents. I’ve seen right now, but Joe’s going to charge you fifty five cents for every person that clicks. You were email now, you’re saying thinking. What do you mean? Okay? So you’re going to tell Joe here I have here’s my website or here’s my product or here’s my funnel page, here’s the free thing, I’m giving away.

Will you please run my ad, I’m going to say ad or my email through your list and I’m going to buy a hundred clicks from you, so that would be fifty five dollars and Joe’s takes your fifty five dollars. Joe runs your ad or your email lit a little email, whatever it is through his list or her list and once there’s a hundred clicks, because you paid four hundred the run will stop and then right away.

I did this the first time I did this. Oh, my gosh, it was back within 20 minutes. It was that fast. It was extremely fast. I thought it was going to take two or three days and boom. It came right back in so out of those hundred clicks. A good average is about thirty percent. If 30 percent of those people now that’s good, I’m just giving you numbers every list is different. If you can get thirty percent of those people to opt-in to your list and then you’ve done well, if you get 20 percent fine, you might say well I’ll.

Try! Somebody else maybe joe’s list isn’t working for me. So I’m going to go to somebody else. Maybe you find somebody where you’re getting 40 percent and go hey and now I’m going to buy 500. Will you do it again, so you have to go in I’m going to give you a link below it says, buy email, lists below, there’s a link and you go into that site and you can find different people that are selling ads on their big long list And you can go in there and find the right person for you pay attention.

Some of them might say. I specialize in health and fitness, or I specialize or in online marketing they’re, going to tell you what kind of list they have. Some of them are called tier 1, the, where they’re, basically from European nations and from the United States and Australia, and some so pay attention to the details, there’s a link below, but that how you buy emails for your email list. As far as do I recommend it or do I not it’s really up to you, you will go in and you will see articles that say absolutely do not do that and other people say you know what it’s a great way to build your list.

So you really have to decide for yourself. Yes, I did. I have done it to help build my list when it was small and I got anywhere from 20 % to 40 % opt-ins on my lists. How To Automate Your Social Media Marketing Agency (HUGE)

I got car money, fresh start money. So what’s up guys, my name is Iman. I’M the owner of a digital marketing agency, based here in London, we’re currently just in my home office, sitting down, and I was doing some work and the idea of automation came to mind.

If you’re trying to build your digital marketing agency, you really have to pick and choose where you allocate your time and where your time is spent. So I mean not only a favor marketing agency, no matter what you’re doing in life, you want to automate things. You want to keep things as streamlined as possible.

That way, your limited willpower and whatnot that can be spent on the most important stuff. And what is the most important stuff for a marketing agency owner? Well, I’ll go into that in detail in another article, but really its sales and delivering results. So, firstly, it’s we get clients then make money. Number two, it’s okay. We had these clients now, let’s deliver results so that they stay for a year rather than a month, because trust me, it is a lot easier.

Keeping clients than trying to get new ones. So back in the day when I first started my marketing agency, I would have all my clients assets whether I created them. So basically, assets are photo article graphics, so I’d have them all stacked up, and I would have my schedule my plan for the month when I’m posting. What and every single day I would go on my phone. I never posted manually and fuck-me.

He did take a really long time, so really I was only able to take my agency to another level once I started using tools like sprout social now, there’s other ones out there like buffer and HootSuite. I think, but for me sprout social is like by far the best we’ll go into that later, so yeah. It was really only once I had time freed up that I was able to work on acquiring new customers or delivering results, which has nothing to do with.

Actually distributing content, that’s all for brand awareness, so yeah. I tried out sprout socials 30 day free trial. I also tried out buffer and, as I said, HootSuite I used that for a bit, so I tried all of them out and sprout social. It came out on top for me and it was just a game changer, as I said not only a time where I actually have to physically, like post stuff, but also just the mental energy of knowing that it was taking care of that day.

Now these days I take automation to another level and one of the people that actually works. For me. He he schedules all of my clients content a month in advance, but sprout social. You can post on LinkedIn, you can post on Facebook Twitter. The only platform that won’t actually post on your behalf is Instagram, so you get a post notification and you just put that to it’s super simple. But once again he actually manages that for me – and he writes all of my clients, social media captions to really automation like I’ve got that down now, but look most of you guys will be exactly like I used to be.

I couldn’t afford someone to do that. For me, luckily now I can, as my agency has grown, so you got to fixate on automation and making this thing as streamlined as possible. So that is why you need to focus on automation so, as I said how to do it, if you can’t afford to pay someone a monthly retainer like I do to handle this stuff for me, then use a service like buffer, HootSuite, sprout social, now I’ll, actually Kind of be reviewing sprout social today, what I like about it, no sprout social, actually represents everything that I stand for.

My agency stands for, which is like new, fresh, innovative dope-ass branding, really cool visuals, so sprout social provides that and I’m just going to throw up some articles and whatnot see. So you can see the sprout social interface, what it looks like inside and what not also grab some clips online of that for you so yeah and sprout social. You can pretty much do everything you can schedule your posts.

It even has a feature. Will auto post it at the time that gets the best engagement for your clients? You’Ll actually track all the data, and I hate end-of-the-month marketing reports, but it’s so easy with a sprout social literally rather than spending hours that I actually used to do. Just writing out reports pulling in different information from different places literally and sprout social. It’S got a reporting tool like I just print it off, stick their logo on and that’s it you can track Facebook ads in their track.

Leads conversions like bunch of bunch of cool stuff. This is a bunch of cool analytics and, as I said, just the amount of time that it saved me has been incredible whether that be on actually posting this stuff, myself reporting checking different stats. Optimizing like it’s been a lifesaver personally and really the best part. Is they offer 30 day free trial? So that’s an entire month where you can test it out, see whether you like it or not, and as I said, I tried buffer sprout social and HootSuite.
