How To Grow a Business Online (Various Marketing Strategies)

So this afternoon I will give you my top six tips for creating a simple online marketing strategy. My first tip is to make use of all of the masses of free web applications which are available out there and when I say all of them, I say focus specifically on Google, because Google’s spent billions of dollars developing a range of different apps, which are all Geared around kind of growing your business and shouting about what you do so um, google, it takes about ninety percent of the search engine traffic across all of the search engines.

This is particularly in the UK, so it only makes sense that you’re there’s no coincidence that, if you’re making use of Google’s other apps that it might actually boost your organic search engine ranking. So there are things that you can do like, and Google use google maps and google places or google for business those all of that and tools all allowing you to create a profile for your business upload, your logo, upload your contact details, opening hours put a brief And description about your business in there and send a link back to your website, you can use google analytics to analyze and how much traffic is coming through your site and set up goal.

Conversions for example, and also i’ve discovered that google analytics is quite a nice. Quick easy way of getting new pages on your website listed within its organic search engine index. So if you’ve got google analytics installed on your site, all you’ve got to do is browse to that page once it goes live and google and after a couple of days, will automatically pick up that page and add it into its index and also as another great Web tool, which Google’s critical google webmaster tools and you may have come across if you’re, using analytics something called the not provided and keyword in your list of it’s.

Probably at the top of your list of keywords that people are putting into the search engines. To find your website and and not provide, it basically means that and it’s hidden by mind and a secure certificate. So he put in a search into Google and you’re logged into Google’s Google Chrome, for example. It will. It does a lot of that securely and say then, when you search for a and end up on a website that search keyword isn’t passed to that website, because it goes through a secure layer.

What Google Webmaster Tools and does? Is it acts before and you go through to your website and it gives you a list of those keywords so using analytics and webmaster tools together is a with great way of just analyzing what keywords people are actually searching for and landing on your website. So my second tip is to use all of the various social media tools, for example, to complete your online business profile.

So the big four we got, google+ facebook, linkedin and twitter definitely get out even if you’re not intending to use them and at least get out there like Kenny’s. These are tools which people have spent billions of dollars on like creating like and they’re all out there. For you to use for free – and the key thing is that you can put your business name on there and a link back to your website and even if you don’t post to post, tweets regular, your and post status updates on facebook regularly.

Just having those profiles. There is going to raise your and your your profile and your PageRank cuz they’re, all free links back to your website and there are tons. There are hundreds of different social media applications out there beyond the big four like and use as many as are actually applicable to your business. So, for example, if your business is very like and image led if you’re a photographer, for example, you could be making use of things like Instagram and Flickr if you’ve designed that and creative you could look at dribble and Instagram again is appropriate for that.

So make sure the social media profiles you’re setting up are appropriate for your business equity, that again they’re free tools and and other people do use them. So it might be that if you don’t use, have a linkedin profile, you’re missing out and a good opportunity to network with other local business owners in your area. So it’s a good way for other customers to find you online. So do your best to make use of all of those different social media platforms and then just make sure that you do update them regularly.

There will be other people and other business owners using them. So, even if you don’t believe in it, you might see an opportunity there that you didn’t realize before my third tip is and make sure you create a fantastic online portfolio for your business and then get reviews again. Google is starting to build in this element of social review into it and into its PageRank, so make sure that and you’re getting reviews on things like and Facebook and Google+, for example, you can also use other review tools like Trustpilot.

What it does is it showcases? Your capabilities and your best work on your website and it attracts lead back to you so that, hopefully, and if your competitors aren’t doing this is going to make you stand out above your competitors and the more reviews that you get on those those three tools which I mentioned just now, then, the higher up you like me to be on Google’s organic rankings. Ultimately, what those organic rankings are going to mean is more traffic to your site, hopefully more sales, so it kind of makes logical sense that you want to be getting reviews and testimonials and publishing min and as many places as possible.

What this also does is, when somebody lands on your website or sees those reviews, it just builds trust with potential customers. My fourth tip is to share your knowledge and share your know how a lot of people hold back from sharing their their IP, because they think that somebody’s going to steal it and what? What exactly you afraid of? If you think that something’s going to steal your ideas, you afraid they’re going to do it better than you, but likely it is.

They probably can’t so by sharing you’ll know how it presents yourself as an expert within your field and, ultimately, what it will do. Is it will draw customers to you because your customers and sorry not your customers, your competitors, aren’t likely to be giving away free information. This again makes you stand out from the crowd and, and it just builds up that level of trust don’t be afraid to give away free advice to people whether you meet them, if you’re doing blogging, if you want to chop stuff up onto YouTube, give away free Advice what it does it just demonstrates the honest person who just wants to help other people help your customers and and what happen is it’ll, encourage referrals back to you and the likelihood is that you know you’re, probably very good, at what you do and even if You give away you’ll know how either your competitors or potential customers they’re not going to be able to replicate your methods and implement it as well as you actually could.

My fifth tip is to get moves away from the organic side of things, but perhaps invest in some pay for online marketing. Ppc is a good way of kind of bolstering your organic advertising. That’s going on already and and when you’ve got particularly quiet periods. You can invest a bit of money and PPC to drive actual traffic to your website and you can look at tools like retargeting, which sits inside and Google AdWords as a way of re-engaging potential customers who displayed interest in your products through your website.

They’ve left the site and then it’s a bit creepy, but the the pic you’ve put a pixel on their computer and you follow them around. They see your ad and then they realize they’ve made a mistake. Come back to your website and that’s where they end up. Buying your products from so retargeting is really important, and then, finally, you want to hire professionals for anything that you feel you. You can’t do well yourself, so see a lot of people trying to manage, like Google, PP, Google and AdWords campaign and just spunking loads of money on Google adverts and then wondering why it’s all gone wrong and why they’ve wasted their money.

And it’s because there are actually experts out there who do. Google, PPC advertising, facebook, advertising and things like that. And yes, you have to pay for them, but it’s what you get back in return, they’re experts in their field and will probably have a much better idea about how to make the most that some nice you’re targeting and and it will just save you money and And a lot of them will have guarantee so that, if they haven’t generated the leads which they say they’re going to generate for you within a certain specified amount of time, you don’t actually have to pay them so find somebody who is on a commission only basis In order to drive traffic back to your website, so to summarize, those key points tip number one make use of all the free web applications that are out there, especially the Google ones, because it will help your page rank tip number two make sure you complete.

All of the online and business profiles and through social media tools, which are available tip, number three, create an online portfolio, get reviews and that social proof is invaluable. Make sure that you’re sharing knowledge and in amongst your peers and to potential customers and invest in some paid for online and marketing as well. Google PPC facebook advertising, for example, and finally make sure that your hiring professionals for anything that you’re not competent at and so hopefully you found some of those tips really AM helpful and enjoyable.

8 Fast & Easy FCPX Shortcuts for Editing Wedding Films

Ok, while editing waiting highlight films goes on for the full article for the full wedding I use Premiere Pro. I have my reasons and for the highlight articles, which are usually short and trailers, as this is a trailer right here. The trailer as you can see – and it’s 2 minutes long.

So this is a trailer. So, for short articles like highlights in music articles, I use Final Cut. Pro ok cause. I, like the effects in here and all that stuff, so I use Final Cut Pro for all these short articles, but for the longer articles, like one-hour articles, I usually use on Premiere Pro. Ok guys. So that’s what I do anyways so here are the shortcuts that I use a lot while I’m editing wedding articles, ok guys so the 8 simple shortcuts that I use the most while editing highlight articles for weddings.

So number one is. You know the shift shift. Z shift plus the Z button, so how I use this it um. It usually just shows you the the whole timeline from here to here. Ok, so from there to there. So let’s say you are zoomed in right about here so command +, zooms in and command zooms out. But let’s say you don’t want to. You know, use these. You just want to see the entire timeline um from from where you’re editing right so let’s say you’re zoomed.

You know the way here and you want to see the entire timeline. What I usually do, while you use what I usually do is just press shift. Z is going to bring up the entire timeline shift C will bring up the entire timeline. So I use this a lot shift-z. I use that a lot. So that’s number one number two is shift end. So when I’m doing wedding, I do a lot of slow motion as you can see, so how I do the slow motion usually is they say I want to slow my that clip okay.

So what I do is on go here: let’s swim in here, so how I slow more. The clip is just um Shift, + n so shift and brings up this thing here. Where you can, you know slow it down to 50 percent or you can add a custom whereby you can. If you want to reverse the clip, you know forward I’ll, just leave it at that, so yeah so shift and like quickly just brings up. You know thing when you can just like: if you want you can even just like press here and drag it.

You know drag it to the percent that you want it to be slow. Let’s say you wan na do is 60 %, and then you just it’s going to be slow like that and then again, if you just want to go back to the normal, you can press the clip and just shift and brings it back to 100 %. So yeah so shift and brings up so we hear shift and 100 % and then from one I guess no more. A to 50 %, see that and I can move this clip to where I wanted to show.

I know that good stuff, yes guys so shift, and I use it a lot. Let me show you a clip that I actually already have this on there, which is: let’s see this clip right here. So, as you can see here, this is um. This is a normal clip right here, but it was, you know I had it on 50 %. So that way I could do a slo-mo and then I ramped it up right here. So I ramped it up here and when I bring when I click shift n.

It’s going to show you that you know this is this is normal and then I ramped it up there. So let me just um backspace here backspace, really, let me just you know undo so that way I leave the Edit as it is because I like it like that. So this is just like you know, ramped up shift N and then I had ramp that up so let’s go back again command Z. Go back to what I had edited it like whoa whoa. Look at that boy, killing it killing it killing it look at them.

Shots man look at the killing these shots anyway, so yeah shift n. I use that a lot guys. Let’s go back to the whole timeline. Okay, so now that auto timeline, we see the whole thing. Okay, so three is command for so command for just brings up this thing here when you can edit, you know Clips like you, can edit your Clips. So, let’s zoom in a bit here to where you can see eclipse here, okay, so yeah so so command for just brings it to where you can edit the effects of the article so command.

For you know you can get rid of that thing. If you want I’ll bring it up there, you go, get rid of it. Bring it up so command for is just to bring that up real, quick and then command five. Okay, let’s say we take this out so command five, as so. Ok, so number four is combined five, which is uh. It brings up the effects stamp for, like you know, transitions and all the transitions and more article effects so command five.

Alright, let’s wait for it. So it brings up the effects for the article and audio and stuff like that transitions over here, so that’s command v. You can bring that up and I usually don’t like having this here unless I’m using it at the current time. I just like to see my whole full timeline. That’s command! Five number four! So number five is command six, so command six. I use it usually what I’m doing color grading so command.

Six is to do the color great okay guys. So you can see this beautiful color great here. This is the original grade and that’s the calibrated, so they would go command. Six brings up the color grading here. What you can on the color board. They call it by scar grading same so. You can color grade your footage. Okay, guys, you can color grade your footage there. So let me just um bring this back to normal, so yeah, so command.

Six brings up the color grade, real, quick and then from here. You can go back to the effects as well. There you go okay, so that’s number five, so number six is command nine, so command nine. What I usually use this for is the background tasks. Usually what I’m? What I use this for is when I’m rendering the finished um article, and I just want to see how the sharing is going like – let’s say I go here and I share you know so I want to see.

I want to see these on things here. You know if you’re like – let’s say I did this here, so it has to like you know in this case, let’s just a shift and let’s bring this to like ten just to give you a sample. So when you leave it alone, here see it’s going to start rendering. So you I like seeing the percentage that is at or you can pause it if you want so yeah, let’s just undo that, because you know that’s not how I wanted it to be.

So. Just undo that and again undo, okay, so that’s number six, which is command nine, so number seven is command option V, which is two pest effects, so he passed effects from like on copy and paste effects. So let’s say you want these effects on this article here. So you just command C copy, and then you go here if you press command-v, it’s going to. You know paste this clip up there, so you don’t want that.

So what you want to do you just don’t you just want the effects from this article here. So what you do is you copy command C you go here and then so option you hold option and V, I’m sorry. You hold option and command and then press V and then the effects will be tested on this clip here from that to here. Usually I do that when I’m doing when I mom doing the color grading, so let’s just undo that when I’m doing color grading, I usually do that.

So that way I can just select all the clips. I want and let’s say, they’re the same lighting they’re. The same everything, so I just get the color grade from this clip and I pay Kyle paste it on all these clips, so yeah so command option V. I use that a lot, so I was number seven so number eight, which is the last arm shortcut that I like doing here, is option plus the move plus the mouse plus moving your mouse.

So when you press option, when you hold option and then let’s say you want to duplicate this, clip here right so hold option and just move this to where you want to where you want to paste it at you know. So then you go. I just copy pasted this again. I can keep you know, duplicating the file. So that’s how you duplicate arms. You want to duplicate Clips. So let me just back up here: let’s not get ahead of ourselves, so those are the shortcuts that are simple to use.

In Final Cut Pro that I usually use a lot when I’m editing wedding articles. So if you like this article, if this it was helpful to you, please click the like button and please subscribe to the blog. 6 EASY Ways to Increase Restaurant Sales on Slow Days | How to Run A Restaurant Successfully 2020

Today, I’m going to be sharing with you, the six ways to increase traffic increase revenue and increase profit for your restaurant on slow days. Yes, we have slow days as well. Yes, I suffer from those Mondays Tuesdays the early mornings that people don’t come in. I suffer from those like fly-swatting days and, unfortunately, that’s just part of the business. But that is the wrong attitude.

We can always do something about it and which is a reason why I’m shooting this article to share with you the six ways that we at 7:20, this ice cream chain that we’ve created, have used to fill our restaurants and to fill our ice cream shop. And hopefully unifying this article helpful for your journey and if you do just you know what smash the like button, because it’s just going to help my YouTube journey a lot.

That’s the only thing I asked for in creating these free articles for you guys, but nonetheless, let’s start right it. The number one way to fill up your place is a host event in your place. This is something that is super helpful for us, and I find that it is just that much better in creating a commodity with all the businesses around us and also exposes us for a lot of different new customers. Now, what do you mean by host event at your place? Usually, when we host event at our place, we’re not looking to host our own event, we’re planning and we’re hosting other people to host of in our space, because we have a space that we don’t use and we don’t have customers.

So what do we do? We tell people who would need space people like artists, people who has classes people that are running small businesses. That would need a space. What we’re doing in the strategy behind this is because of the fact that, for example, if we have someone that does calligraphy, okay, clear, you’re, free drawing and stuff like that, they love doing this and they want to be able to teach other people to do.

That. And they have, let’s say two to three thousand Instagram followers: they love doing that. Yet they don’t have a place. They don’t want to teach people how to draw and write calligraphy art out of Starbucks. They don’t want to do that. So we would reach out to this a few artists and we propose to them Mahina. What do you want to come to our ice-cream place and teach? How do you do calligraphy and all this crazy stuff and host a class at our place and majority of the time? They would really want to do that because it’s a free space for why not and then, when they host an event, they would be promoting on their own social media.

So now we a 720 sweets. Our ice cream shop are exposed to 2,000 to 3,000. Other people who are following this calligraphy artists, we are a place, is exposed to them now that we’re exposed to them now that this calligraphy artist has that say, 10 to 20 students that are going to be coming to our place to learn calligraphy now we can Sell to the people that are there as well, we can give them a combo price.

We can give them something a little bit more special. So then, that way, they can finally experience our product and in this format and in this way we’re getting exposed to other demographic and other people, new customers who are going to be able to come back and return as well. And we find the strategy super helpful and not just filling up our space, but also networking with other professionals and they’re working with complementary small business owners who are promoting for us now now after the event, what happens is that this clear giving artist is posting pictures On their Instagram on this event, majority of time they’ll be hosting an ice-cream they’ll, be holding holding our bubble tea and in turn, we our brand is being exposed once again to their followers, and this has been curved as exceptionally successful for us and that’s the reason Why we try to host three events every single month, if you want to be able to fill your place on the slow days, make sure that you guys host events places where you can find these local artists, local people that compliment your business as Facebook groups meetups? These are the places where people are hosting their events and in turn, you can reach to these individuals and offer them their place and for you, it’s at no cost pretty much because people don’t come in it’s a private event and in turn you get free advertisement.

So why not a second way in getting more people through your doors on the slow days is to collaborate with other businesses, collaborate with other chefs and other people that have food offerings, and what I mean by that is with 720 Suites. We have done in collaboration with a gourmet marshmallow producer, Archie mellows and with Archie mellows. What we did was we created a specific special flavor with Archie mellows having their marshmallow on our ice cream and in turn this became an amazing hit products.

At the same time, we were me telling their marshmallows at our shop as well, and that brought in a ton of revenue and bringing a lot of hype as well. Why do we want to do that? It is because, once again we’re using the same tactic as the first tactic, which is to cross pollinate the cross-promote. Now that we have done a collaboration with them. We’re now exposed to a new customer base because we created this new item with them and in turn, we kind of slowed days into very profitable days, because we were able to limited launch chain these days, these hours and intern trying to cut our revenue.

So a lot of chefs are doing this. A lot of people have been doing pop-up stores as well. So this is another opportunity for you to be able to actually collaborate with other chefs when you do pop ups right so nonetheless be creative when you’re suggesting these structures and these relationships think about ways and think outside the box, because a lot of times you don’t Need there’s no box that you need to sit within.

You can actually step out of the box. You can actually create something, really wild and be creative with this whole process and just try things out. It doesn’t really hurt to try things out. On the other hand, it it benefits you tremendously. If these collaborations do work, then a date when your place is slow, why not? It actually helps out a lot. So this is something that we’ve been doing quite a bit with our brand, and I think it has helped us a lot.

So you would want to give that a try as well so once again cross collaborate with other chefs and other friends as well. Third way to bring in more customers for your restaurant is to back away team pack a team or back a organization. So for me, I’m involved in this multi sport league and in turn they have, I would say, 2,000 different members throughout each season and in turn, because of the fact that we are cheap back, then we give them promotion and we give them percentages off.

They promote to the whole organization and when they promote to the whole organization, there’s these people and these players bring their family to a our ice cream shop and usually every season. What we do is ended the season party and we tell them to come in for some free ice cream, an intern when they come in for summer free ice cream. They started to their news and they expose our brand to a whole new demographic.

Just because of the fact that we back our team and that only or and an organization, so within your area, look at different teams that you support teams that you, like or organizations that you are involved in as well and back those players are back. Those people up because all you’re looking for our exposure exposure when you can actually have more exposure than that really adds into your look, your loyal fanbase, and it actually adds into much more revenues for your restaurant and the fourth way to bring people through your doors.

During these slow days is to run promotions, running promotion, that has been a longtime game. Okay, this is how happy hour is born. Restaurants realize that, from the period of three to six, that’s from the period from lunchtime to dinnertime no one comes to the doors, which is why they offer incentive half priced beers, half-price wings to the customers in an attempt to bring in more customers. And it has worked really really well, which is a reason why we now all understand the concept of happy hour.

Nonetheless, for your specific restaurant create a deal create an incentive to bring in customers drink your debt times during your slow times, create an incentive to bring them in whether it be in the beginning of the morning, or it could be mid-afternoon or it could be happy Hour, it could be Monday, it could be choosing it doesn’t matter what create incentive to bring people in, for example, this really well-known Korean barbecue place gyaku on mondays.

They offer full day happy hour, although they’re not making as much money. People are still going in to consume and in turn, when they like the experience when they like the food, they will come back to consume on a Tuesday on a Wednesday on a Thursday on a Friday Saturday, Sunday with their friends and family and in turn allows The company to profit during those times just because you’re running a promotion does not mean you should be losing.

It just means that it’s another attempt another opportunity for customers to try your product and your service. The fifth way to bring in more customers during the slow days is to host your own event. Previously we talked about hosting events for other suppliers, other creatives other businesses right now, I’m telling you to be able to host event on your own host events, for example, things like trivia night things like live Jam, nights things like sports state.

All these different kind of events would bring people and because it’s just an added extra and other value that they would not get aside from eating at your place, for example, if they really enjoy having live music, and if you have someone in to play, live music On a Monday and yeah they’re going to come, have a beer, have a have a plate of pasta and enjoy the live music. So, nonetheless, if you can host these event on a regular basis on the slower days, this becomes another added reason for your customers to come in and to enjoy your product, offering, for example, with me, my wife, we really love going to this Indian place, not just Because of their food, but because of the fact that they have this live belly dancing performance every Monday night and we love going there not just because, like I said not just because of their food, but because of the belly dance that we get to enjoy them Is super entertaining and for us we eat out every day every night anyways.

So for us, when we get to choose we’re, like you know what, aside from wanting to eat some Indian food, we also want to be entertained. It became at night, oh and on Monday, where else can we go that offers live performance and that’s how this company and this restaurant has won our business so in your business think about something that is creative, think about something that works within your demographic and offer That extra added bonus to your customers and give them that reason to come in on that slow day.

The 6th and final way to have more sales during your slow days is to work with professionals, professionals who have monthly meetings, weekly meetings, we’re talking about people who work in the bank, people who work for charities, people work for different organizations that are in charge of Buying catering or hosting different events at different places, so for us at 7:20 sweets we got to know the branch manager at the bank right next to us and in turn, because of the fact that we have a really good relationship, they order from us every single Month, the owner big batch of order to thank their customers to think their employees as well, because of the fact that we establish this relationship.

Now we have this monthly revenue that we’re able to to count on and to offset those slow days. So, in your case, establish these relationship with the professionals. Are your area, the bankers, the mortgage brokers, the charity organization right? So if you can host a place for them on a slow day and give them a discount, then of course they wouldn’t want to come in because they have a pleasant experience and when you can actually have these relationships, these organizations to come in or to cater For them, this completely offsets the slow days for you, because that has we have find tremendous success in doing this.

So hopefully this has helped you out be creative, with the type of offering that you’re offering them, whether it be coming in for twenty percent off or coming in for free drinks or catering meals for their meetings. These are all very helpful tactics for you to be able to use to offset the slow days that you’re going to encounter in your restaurant. So there you go the six ways to increase sales for your restaurant on the slow days.

I just talked about all the secrets that we’ve used. I really hope you find tremendous value in this. The only thing that I ask for is that you smash the like button, because it’s going to help me along this whole YouTube journey. How to Create Facebook Lead Form Ads For Beginners | Facebook Lead Ads Tutorial

Now, There’s been a lot of chatter over in the Facebook group about you know how to use Facebook lead forms And what are they and what’s the benefit and all that stuff, and so I just figured. I just make a article really quick to Show you guys how to set them up what they are and kind of benefit in all that stuff.

So Anyway, if you’re going through and using a typical landing page website, conversions, like a lot of the things that I show you, What you’re going to Do is you’re going to set up a conversion ad and when somebody clicks on the ad they’re going to go To a landing page And it’s going to ask for their name phone number and email address, or whatever type of contact info you’re going for right, The only thing is is they have to go through and type in their Info right, whereas a lot of times, if You they really want it They’ll put in the right info, but lots of times you get a lot of bogus leads, And so that kind of can be tough there.

So with the facebook lead form the benefit and the nice thing about. It is there’s this little form that when you click the ad it pops up and Then you can ask for their name their phone, their email, address or address. You can ask other questions as well, And then what Facebook does is that they have the information on file, like you know, when you sign up for a Facebook account You’re going to put in your name You’re, going to put in there your phone number a lot Of times You can put in your email address, so you can log in it’s going to pre populate that form and most people in my experience, They’re just too lazy to go like, even if they don’t want to give you the right info, They’re too lazy to Go through and delete it and go put in bogus info, So they just hit submit and you’re going to get a lot higher quality Information there right now, some of the pros and cons really quickly.

One look I mean. Obviously, we’ve hit some pros. One of the cons is, if you don’t, have a solid crm Connected with your Facebook account, Then what can happen is so what happens is when they, when you go, generate a lead with the leave form, It just goes into a CSV file inside of Facebook, which I’ll show you guys here in a second, But then every time you like want to go, get those leads. You have to download the CSV file, Extract it import into a CRM, and so, if it’s not completely sync, which will cover that as well in today’s article, Then it can be a little bit of a hassle.

You don’t have that automated follow up because you’re not going to really know when leads are coming in alright. So let’s say: Let’s just start from the beginning: Let’s surf from scratch about going through and creating a facebook lead for in campaign. So we’re going to Do is we’re going to click on create campaign right here, okay, So, let’s start over. So what we’re going to Do so is: what’s your marketing objective, its lead generation? So if you want to do the lead forms, it’s the lead generation, one Right here: okay and we’ll say: lead generation, give it a name We’ll just say this is a demo one and then we’re going to come through.

And it’s going to Ask you. Okay, what Facebook page Would you like to create this from right? So we come through. You know. You probably only have one Facebook page. I’ve cut a lot of them here, but, let’s just say it’s from the Jason Wardrop Facebook page And then as far as the targeting. That’s not really the concept of this article. I’ve got tons of articles as far as targeting goes and based on what campaign you’re running all that stuff, So we’ll just kind of leave the targeting, as is I want to show you guys more of the lead form creation.

So we just kind of go through Skip all this. This one will sleep on the news feeds which I like to do anyway. Okay, We’re just coming down. You set your budget. Let’s say I like to sit like start typically with the $ 10 a day budget. Just to get some good data coming through alright, so we’ll just come down. We just leave all this stuff, so a lot of the stuff Just I’ll hit really quickly. Okay, so like you’re targeting you want to go through change this stuff up right here, Your placements, you want to go through put that data in alright And then your budget.

You want to make sure you hit your budget, but in a lot of this other stuff, Optimation for add delivery. You can just leave, as is because Facebook’s going to take care of it for you, okay. So if we hit continue here, This is where we get into the add of the Creation, as well as the lead form creation. So if you think about it, like you, have your typical Landing page that you’ve got for your business right.

Well, let’s leave form we’re creating is going to be in place of the landing page Okay, so it’s going to have them put in their name phone email or whatever info they want. So we’re going to come down here, like I said once again, I’m not going to go through create the whole ad right here We could just go. Let’s say: Let’s browse the library, Let’s just use an existing image so like let’s say it’s for a home right here, We’ll use that home right there and we’ll say test ad and, like I said guys, I’ve got a ton of article unlike the ad copy and How to set all these ads up, So I’m not going to do this right here.

Okay, so we’re going to say test and then we’ll just throw test and Call-to-action. As you guys know, I like to use, learn more it just. I feel like it’s. It’s works really solid, Okay, so we come down here and we’re doing all this and we’re good to go Okay. So now this is just kind of the typical ad creation ad set up right, But what we’re going to do now is down here. This lead form. Okay, choose a form to use in your ad, so these are ones that you can see.

I’ve already previously created What we want to do, though, so like right here. This is what its going to look like: okay, So they’re going to go through, hey, download our copy and paste Facebook, ad templates or whatever it is. You want to generate more leads and then once they go through and submit their information. This is your thank-you page or the page. They see right afterwards and then down here.

We can actually Add a link to your website to your Facebook page to whatever page you want, okay. So what we’re going to do So? We’re just going to click, create new form right here. Okay, So we’re going to say I like to go through and name the form, just a really quick tip. Honestly, It’s a pain to go, try to change the name Later on, so I make sure you name it so that you know which form we’re dealing with okay, so we’re going to say test Lead it the form, alright, Okay, so now form type.

So we’re going to come in here and we can say hey more volume or higher intent. Okay, So, let’s see what this says use a form, That’s quick to fill out and submit on a mobile device. I don’t review stuff that gives people chance to confirm their info so Anyway, what I like to do is so like this is actually all this is new. I know it says higher intent is new, but all this whole concept is fairly newer.

I would go through and do the more volume one right here just to get like just get their info quickly, sometimes like it. This obviously is kind of going through, and this is like a Pre-qualifying step. You’ll probably get more leads with this one right here. This one, You could probably get more quality leads, but the thing is, though, Lots of times you could get a quality lead with this one, But just having that extra step, it kind of it turns people off and so they’re like.

I don’t want to do this right so anyway, this intro right here You could have the headline. Okay, We’ve got test headline and Really what you want to do right Here is just kind of our strategy of going through and using our different landing page headlines. So, for example, I’ve got this one right here, so let’s pull this up: Hey, get instant access to the price and picture this property. We just paste that in right there, okay, so in let’s see get us access the price, and then we could say because it only allows you so many characters and Property.

Okay and then you could go through and you don’t have like a paragraph explaining stuff. You can have bullet points, We could say hey. This is awesome because Link okay, and so you can just you can like underneath this. This is kind of like where we’ve got this sub headline right there, So you can do bullet points like you have on some landing pages or we could go through and say: hey. We just want a paragraph, and it says: hey home at his market, so learn more by providing your info below Okay, so we’re just going through.

This is basically Just copy and pasting of what you would typically put on a landing page, But you’re just doing it on this leave form within Facebook. Okay. So now we have the questions right here. This is Sorry. Excuse me, This is basically what type of contact info you want to have, and so what I like to do so By the order that you click them in is the order that they’re going to show up See if you do first name and then you do Email right up here and then phone number, Those are the typical ones I like to do.

You can go. You can see all these other ones. You can add, you can add their Address. You can add their. You know: state cities, zip code Data, birth, gender. All this stuff, But typically what happens is the more you ask for or the lower your conversions, okay, So right out of the gate like if you have their first name, you have their phone number And you have their email address. That is enough to go through and get in touch with them, get in contact with them and go Through the next step.

So you can also right here. You can add a custom question. Okay, you could say hey. I want it to be to be a short answer, multiple choice, so we could say like something like hey: how soon are you Looking to move right, So we go in there. We can add questions, But typically, what I like to do is Wait and just get their contact info and do this on another step or in a follow-up, email, follow-up text, message, follow-up, Facebook message or something like that: okay and then, as far as the privacy policy.

If you guys do have a privacy policy, so I like to just type in privacy policy, so if you guys do have a privacy policy on your website, so, for example, we got Ww2 okay right here. This is Arsenal’s privacy policy page, and so I just throw that in there right there, okay and Technically. Technically, you can use whatever link there and it’s still going to work and still go through. But don’t don’t Even hear from me So, like you got to go through, make sure you’re compliant make sure you use the right Privacy policy link and page and all that stuff you could throw in your Facebook page there And then, if they shut the I’ve, never Had an experience where, like the ad, gets shut down because I’m not using a privacy policy page But that’s something you just got ta, keep in mind there: okay, All right And then right here this last one! The thank you screen.

You can say you know: hey thanks, You’re all set, or you can say banks, We sent the info to your email Provided. Okay, because somebody was once saying I saw on the Facebook group. Someone was saying like here: Where is it right here? Get snaks to the price of pictures of the property submit They’re like well, like I’m expecting them to get that on. The Thank You page which yes, But the thing is, is if you give that to them right there on the thank you page, a lot of times, They’ll give you bogus info because they’re just like, oh, I don’t need to give them an info.

I I can just get on the thank you page right, so this is going to go solidify the quality of the Information and you’re still giving it to them instantly right, you’re still getting instant access. All I have to do is just check their email. Okay. So Thanks we sent the info to your email provided and that you can see hey click Click below to connect with me on my Facebook page or something like that like, Depending on what link you send them down here on the site link you can send to Your Facebook page to your website to, like You, know, a messaging bot.

You can send them to a lot of different things and say like hey And then to provide that next incentive to get them moving forward. So, on the landing page or this, this initial part of the leave form, we say: hey click here – to get instant access to the price and picture of this property. If You want them to keep moving forward, okay, you need to give them some incentive to actually click the you website, okay or Schedule a call with Me, and then you can go and put in your calendar link.

Okay, so we’ll just put like this calendar, the one right here So we go in schedule, call hey Thanks. We sent the info to you or you know, provided If you want to see this home this week, click below to Schedule a showing with me. Okay, something like that like something that’s going to be an incentive enough to get them to the next step and actually go through go forward with it right, because if It’s not enticing enough, people like they’ve been through these.

These forms before they’ve, been through the funnels They’ve, been through all the stuff, so it’s kind of like. Ah I’m just going to leave it at that. I got I’m going to get this stuff in my email. I just want to look anyway, but you need to provide that incentive to that next step. Okay, so now that we’ve gone through, I believe this is everything that we’ve got, that we need. Okay, I’m going to actually go delete the I Don’t want this custom question right here.

Okay, so you see if you’ve got the first name, So I’ve got get is next to the price of pictures of this property, learn more the first name, email phone number They hit submit. They go this hey Thanks! We sent the info to your email, provided, if you want to see this home this week, click below to schedule showing with me schedule call with me. It goes out to your calendar and They can set up an appointment with you.

Okay, so now we’re going to Do is click finish right, Okay, so now this one is all set up. Okay – and let me just see Okay so now, what we’re going to Do is we would just hit Confirm down here and then that would be running like a normal ad. So you’re not going to See this ad on your Facebook page, Because this is what’s called a blind ad. So when you create the ad inside a Facebook Ads manager, It actually doesn’t show up on your Facebook page, whereas if you create it on your Facebook page, It’s going to show up there.

However, with the leave form, I don’t believe. Let me see if you can use an existing one Yeah, I don’t yeah, you have to create a lead form ad within ads manager. Okay, so it’s completely separate! You can’t use an existing post on your Facebook page. You have to create it right here. Okay, so now one last step guys What’s going to happen and let’s just go back to the ads manager, because I want to show you guys this really quick.

So basically, you hit confirm You’re done Okay, so this is another one you can see this week. It’s getting pretty good results at just three bucks a day. So what you do you have to just click on this and go to the ad level, And then you have to go and download the the lead. So right right here I don’t have access this page anymore, but anyway you would download the leads And it would come into a CSV file.

Then you have to take that CSV file. You have to import into your CRM And it’s a huge pain in the butt to be completely honest. It’s like, and you never know when leads come in. There’s no notifications, There’s nothing. So what we did is simplify that with arson right here. So when you go to create a new landing page, for example right here, You come down and instead of choosing one of the landing pages, come all the way to the bottom.

You see, Facebook page lead, add okay, so now we’re going to Just choose the Facebook page that we created it with. So I believe it was just my page right here, So Jason Ward drop capture leads from the lead ads on page Jason, Wardrop, Yes, And then this is going to pop up right here, like it would, if you were having a landing page right. So this is going to sync with the the leave form that you created inside the ads manager and Then it’s going to any leads that come in they’re going to come in and populate inside of your CRM right here, Then you can click on them see.

What’s you know what the leads all about see all the info see the history see what emails They open. What what links I clicked on! So you can see. You know you come in here, enrollment, a sequence out of tag. You say: okay, deliver an email delivered email, you can add tasks all that stuff, But also another key thing is, you can add automated follow-up, so you go through nabbed. Automated email sent out the automated text message and all that stuff and it’s all synced up and Obviously with Arsenal.

When you get new leads, you get an email and text Notification, letting you know that a new lead came in okay, So this is just like. I’m not trying to like hard sell you obviously on Arsenal, But like this is just a big benefit. If you’re using lead, forms, You’ll be able to go through and have the leads automatically synced to your CRM, automatically get an email automatically get a text follow-up and Automatically notify you of new leads that were generated and also in that email or text.

It’ll have their name phone and email or whatever information you collected, And so then you can go through and get in contact and follow up that person right away. So anyway, guys. Hopefully this was helpful as far as the lead forms. If you guys have questions if you’re, like Jason, I’m not sure on this part, I’m struggling on this part Just go ahead and leave them in the comments down below I’m more than happy to go through and help.

The Dragon Tattoo Balisong – One Year Later

If you’re part of the ballas own community, then you’re probably not used to what we’re going to be doing today, we’re going to be, we are going to be doing a balisong review, a cheap dragon, tattoo trainer $ 10 on eBay or Amazon or whatever you choose To bond I bounty Bey, because I’m in Australia, but the thing is, is that this is not a brand new balisong.

This is it. I have been flipping for about a year now, so today we’re just going to be going over how it’s been doing. What kind of damage it’s gone over and how much it’s changed ever since I first bought this about a year ago, so yeah also guys sorry. I did miss one thing I’ll put this at the beginning of the article, because it’s not because it’s not important. It’s probably the least important part, but if you are planning on keeping the Dragon Tattoo in its sheath, then please try not to drop the knife, because what will happen is after you drop the knife, the first or the first few times, and your latch starts breaking Your latch won’t be able to close a beer, so you’ll be able to push it in, but the light will just come out or just spit out, and the thing is is that the sheath is designed to perfectly fit the knife, so it’ll it’ll perfectly fit it.

But obviously kind of the latch out, so you have to keep the latch closed right. So obviously, if your latch won’t stay there it’ll push out and it will actually break into the bottom of the sheath. As I remember just to keep that in mind, if you do want to keep this the sheath in good condition and also keep the knife in good condition – or you can just do what I’m probably going to do sometime soon and just remove the latch because it’s It’s busted, it’s just.

It’s gone, it’s busted, so before we get into this review, I just want to remind you all that this is a ten dollar a bad night. It’s not a quality, squid industries, trainer or anything like that. So remember just to keep that in mind. I know a lot of you. Basson community people already know that, but for those of you who are new and just want to see how it gets a review on that then yeah just keep that in mind.

This isn’t like $ 150 squid trainer, it’s just a regular $ 10 knife, so it doesn’t have phosphorous prongs of washes or quality tang pins or anything like that. It’s just a normal $ 10 and I made by some Chinese people in a sweatshop okay. So that was a little bit rude, so obviously this knife comes with a latch. So first of all I just want to talk about the latch a little bit. So obviously I, if you’re, if you’re part of the Bastogne community, a lot of you, would be used to flipping latch lists.

I know that there are definitely knives out there like the VRS, replicant and alphabet honor, that those have latches some come latch lists, but for those of you who prefer to flip latch lists, you can just skip this part, because I’m sure this part way – and really It’s part, one really, you know be useful to you, but for those of you who do flick with the latch. Let’s talk about that so, first of all, the latch is if it can be focus it’s very it’s.

It’s really busted. You can just tell it’s. It’s super busted, it’s like really close to coming off. It’s just that the the meadow hasn’t like it’s split, but it hasn’t split far enough for it to be pulled off. So it’s literally just passed the point. It’s like there’s no way to fix it. You have to get a completely new latch, there’s just no way um. The other thing about the latch is that you may notice that my latch is doing with these abnormal movements it’s going in places where it shouldn’t be like when I close it sometimes it’ll be already it’ll, be there or it’ll just automatically close, and that’s because the Spring on the latch to the spring, you might not be able to see it.

The spring on the latch is also broken to do with the actual knife the play there is a lot of play on these handles. Look at that. That is a lot of play. So there’s a lot of play and when it comes to the flipping that can get in the way, no all the time it doesn’t always get in the way, but it definitely can be annoying now from what I remember straight out of the box, because I’ve bought This this was like my first proper knife, so I didn’t know how to do like Chaplin’s and rollovers, and all that when I was first starting out but from the point where I did start to do it, I Chaplin’s sorry I’m trying to stand yeah so chaplains.

They were pretty, they stuck perfectly they weren’t too loose, but at the same time they didn’t stick too much and rollovers pretty basic. They they just were perfect. I didn’t really have any issues with that, but now the rollovers they’re still the same, but when it comes to doing chaplains, the chaplains are a lot more looser and it becomes a little bit harder. So you kind of have to move your finger around with it.

Instead of just keeping it see, cuz I keep dropping it. It just falls out of your finger a little bit looser so that shifting, when it comes to the actual physical damage, you could definitely can see the damage. If you look closely focus, if you do look closely, you can see marks on it. You can see damage, probably not as well as what I can see it, but that definitely is a lot of damage you can see on the blade there’s a lot of marks.

It definitely looks a bit, it obviously looks used. So it’s a bit rough and yeah. That’s the three of the only bad thing about it. Besides that, besides the markings and the latch and the plate, it looks pretty normal. I suppose that’s everything though, but neither the I’m pretty sure these are the tank pins yeah, the tank pins they’re, pretty they’re pretty beat up. So when it comes to actually closing the knife, I found that once the tank pin started to break down a little bit, the knife would close like that, like there would be no gap in between and when I was closing the mouth.

I found myself pinching a lot, so I would because I’ll do like this like that and then the math would be it pinched me or even like that. Even going back to that closed position, I would find that the mass would constantly pinch me and I found that really annoying, and I remember one time I forgot what I was doing, but I got a big cut right there in the middle of my thumb and Indexfinger, because the because of the pinch, the pinch yeah when it comes to flipping wise now, I guess it really depends on how good you are like it’s still a good knife and everything like it does flip.

There are times where you will you wait. There are times where you’ll you’re way you will choke so yeah there is that, because, obviously the play and all that, but a one year on it is safe to say that if you are, you know becoming a beginner in the balance on community, and you just Want to get into flipping, I would definitely recommend this knife, because you know it’s cheap, it’s ten dollars and then again, if you don’t like flipping, then you can always just you know it’s it’s not that big! A deal of ten dollars see ya very nice knife.

I forget the measurements: it’s not really important, but, yes, it is still a pretty good knife after one full year thereafter, you you know obvious problems with it, but all in all, it’s still a pretty solid knife. I was really surprised with this. Considering it was $ 10. I honestly thought that it would have broken down after about a month or two, but it’s still with me about a year afterwards.

I can still do my advanced tricks. It’s a bit hard for me because obviously there’s a big tripod and a camera in between me and the actual knife, but not it is still good for flipping. It’s definitely a good knife. I would definitely recommend again for anyone who’s like just starting out yeah, again $ 10 dragon tattoo butterfly knife on ebay or amazon – very nice, not very great, very good knife.

Obviously, it’s not anything as strong as like a BRS replica, an alpha beast like a squid trainer, but again, if you’re, just starting out and you want to you – know, learn a little bit about butterfly knives or ballast stones and like just how to or you’re just Looking just for something to pass the time, I would definitely recommend picking up something like this again, because it’s it’s $ 10, it’s really nice and cheap.

It determines whether you actually want one, because I knew that from this I wanted to start getting into more professional flipping, but obviously Australia. Our knife walls are really stupid, so we can’t get anything like the BRS replicants or alpha beasts because they’re illegal, but I have bought a squid train, a Triton and a squiddy, so I know that this will become just like Zoe, okay. I know that that will become just solely my sort of practice knife, which would just become the thing that I learn how to do like surgeon chaplains with because I haven’t mastered desert chaplain.

I can do one, but after my second one it all goes downhill from there. So yeah. I guess that’s really it. So. Thank you so much for reading guys, if you did enjoy this article, don’t forget to drop a like. Oh sorry, I it helps me know that you enjoyed this article and if you are new, you hit that subscribe button. I do plan to release more butterfly my articles, I in the future, as I did said before, I did buy squiddy and a trident, so I will be doing a review on those when they arrived.

So yes, so thank you again so much for reading stare at you, melons and I’ll see you on the next article bye, guys

Plan With Me | January 14th – 20th | #ECLifePlanner

Today is the 20th I’m hoping to get this article up for you guys today I was planning on filming it yesterday, but my furnace decided to break so that was fun. I do have heat now, everything’s good. I am replacing my furnace totally. If you guys follow me on Instagram, you would have seen my stories yesterday, but I’m getting a full replacement and that’s happening this upcoming Tuesday.

I believe so. It was just really really expensive and it was very, very adulty, but my furnace was over 17 years old. So it was definitely time it actually only cost me like. I want to say a couple hundred dollars more to replace the whole thing versus fix every problem with it. So I’d much rather do that, because it comes with some warranties and guarantees, and things like that. So anyway, that was fun yesterday, but also yesterday was Doyle’s birthday, so I am going to be using some Shiba washy and I think I’m going to use this sort of like black and white one.

I pulled out some orange ones too. These are all from my shop if you’re interested, but let’s talk about the planner right away. I know a lot of you guys read these all the time, but some people are new, so I use the 7 by 9 Erin Condren life planner. I got the gold coil in the hardbound cover this year. However, I did get. It comes with like a little thing here. I did get another plastic cover too just so I could, like I don’t know, use it for other things, but anyway, and then also I got the colorful version.

I did this washy myself. I did the colourful version and yeah. So we are working on this day or this day no this week, and you know we’re going to just get going with this. I’m going to grab my little thing. This is also an Erin Condren thing. It’s a it’s a bookmark, but I use it to cut washi because it just makes my life easier and where it was, this start cool. It’s so funny. I’ve had this washi for like the longest time and I have never used it.

So I figured it would be good because it’s Doyle de or it was Doyle’s birthday yesterday on the 19th and he turned 12 years old. He is an old old man that little Doyle dog he’s kind of funny. So he had a lot of visitors yesterday, because I had a lot of appointments yesterday with people coming into the house and checking on the furnace and everything. So he actually really enjoyed his day. Oh gosh and now he’s sitting at the front door because he thinks it’s time to go out and it’s like not even 9:00 a.

M. Y’all. So I don’t. I don’t know it’s like when I’m downstairs he’s like. Oh it’s time, it’s time to go. It’s clearly not time to go. He just wants to demand things yeah. So this is such a cute little Sheba washy, it’s so much fun. Okay! So let’s put in my work and then I actually got my hair done this week too, and all that good stuff. So, let’s put in some work um I have this washi, which I think is really cute.

It’s just like little X’s like little black and white X’s. I don’t know I thought that would be kind of fun with the Sheba’s situation and I always tend to write down my work schedule a little sticky note over here, because I have a flex schedule. So I just I never know when I show up and there’s some days that I’m like. Oh, I have to go in early because I got to finish this project or whatever and then there’s some days or I’m just like yeah I’ll show up at 8:30.

It’s fine actually Thursday. I started at 8:45, but that’s because I had a doctor’s appointment and I actually worked at home instead of going into the office so yeah and then some days I work really late and you know it just kind of depends, but yeah Wednesday. It was only their fertile 2:30 because I had a hair appointment at 3:00, so yeah. I was actually able to get in to see my hair gal weight earlier than I thought I would.

I sent her a message at the beginning of January and I’m like hey. You know, let me know when you have time in your schedule and I know like she’s the owner of the salon, so she kind of books up pretty fast, but she had one random day and I’m like I’ll take it. So that worked out pretty good. All right and then Thursday add in and then Friday, 7:45 to 4:45 that’ll, just cool yay work. Alright, so let me grab my work things that I need.

I should have pulled all this out before, but I clearly didn’t so whoopsie see I’m going to use these black ones, but then I keep forgetting to use these scripted words that are like some of my favorite things to use like work. Oh here, let’s use that one here we go we’re going to use this one. Instead, cuz, you know good stuff, alright, so they pull out five of these. I just think these look so cute together and these are all from coffee break planner.

I do have a discount code down below if y’all are interested in checking out her stuff. It’s a matte removable paper and it’s one of my favorites, so just just FYI how it works so yeah. I really like the coffee break planner paper. If you like, matte paper you’re going to like this a lot – and I love that it’s removable too, because y’all know your girl screws up all the time on these plan with me.

So if I need to you know, lift something up or whatever it’s just so much easier than you know, ruining your paper so yeah alright. So there is that and then duo had a nail trim, so we’re going to put that in, but I think I’m going to look and see. I have this huge dining table here but, like I never have enough room, I am going to pull all right. I’m going to use this from Chrissy and zion’s and use up my last little foil dog.

These are doyle dogs too, but they’re like the black and tan version of doyle dogs, so cute alright, so I actually have to take Doyle because he’s so ordering I have to take him to the vet to get his nails trimmed. So we did that. I have. We had an appointment at 7:15 on Tuesday, I’m going to use these. I actually got these at Michaels like years and years ago. They probably still have them, so I’m going to put a little black paw here too, because you know he like screams of bloody murder.

When we go there, but he just he just doesn’t like it, he just doesn’t like it. So I wish I could actually trim his nails myself, but that’s not happening. It’s been twelve years. That’s still not happening. Alright, then, on Wednesday I actually just saw the Caesar the Christian design stickers for Michaels, and I have this one that says: hair appointment so duh. Why don’t I use it right and um? So I had my hair appointment at a three o’clock on Wednesday and we did three o’clock p.

M. Oh. I guess I wrote through p.M. Right there whatever, but aren’t these cool little stickers, it’s so cute. I think I’m going to use this is what, because these are so cute, I’m going to heck right, tada, alright, so that is done and then also I had a doctor’s appointment on Thursday. So, let’s use the doctor’s appointment, one as well, alright, and that was at 7:45 a.M. And we had to do some like blood draws and medical check, some things.

So that’s what that one was and then we’ll use this like little stethoscope to and then that’s why. I worked from home because I sometimes will have to go back and do another blood draw later on in the day, depending on my like lab results and stuff. So I just stay at home because my clinic is really really close to where I live, and I live pretty far away. You know from where I work all right and then we are going to use.

I think I have like a little work from home thing in here, but I got ta find it. I know I have it in here been like consistently not on purpose been consistently working from home like once a week pretty regularly. That’s not something I normally would do, but it’s just like weird circumstances have come up and I’ve had to work from home, so anyway at least I have the ability to do that. Alright, these are from plan to plan sticker CO and I’m just going to put in this little gal working from home and then after work a rant at Target.

This – and this is Mayor, bear crafts. I know I got this years and years ago, but still love it all right, and I have these cute little stickers that are actually of Doyle sticking his little tongue out at me, and I got these from Erin Condren calm. You can, like you know, customize, that we all these stickers are different or they’re all the same, so I got them all the same, so she put in Doyle’s stinky little birthday here like this and I used last week.

It was my birthday, and I used this sheet from Christian designs – is from that celebrations. Collection binder and I figured oil turns 12, so we can put in his candles for 12 tada, so cute and we’ll put in some little birthday planner Steve’s, because why not right tada and then for the fun stuff. Well, first thing: let’s do some laundry because I did laundry all day so, let’s put in some non dray here we go grab an orange one, all right, so I put in furnace down here, but I’m going to use one of these.

Let’s see it’s the two-year anniversary favorites from once more with love, and let’s see here, I think we’re going to use this ugh little person. This is cute cuz. It kind of that’s kind of how I felt so what happened was in the morning. I woke up and I was like gosh – it’s really cold in here. So what took toil and a walk and came back and looked at the thermostat and it was down to like 54 degrees – and I usually keep my house at 62 like that.

Just feels good to me and I was like what the heck is going on so turn the thermostat on turn the feminine thermostat off. I was like what is happening here. Finally, it like turned back on, but then it was just blowing air. It wasn’t hot air. It was just like you know, room temperature, air, I’m like what heck it’s happening over here. So at that point I was like I should call so I called like a 24-hour emergency place that actually happened to be the same place that my parents have used for their home and I’m, like you know I don’t know, what’s going on, can you have somebody? Come out and they’re like absolutely not a problem, so I had the first technician come out and just assess what the problem was and his name was Nathan.

So I’m going to put that in here, and he basically told me that you know the repairs like the minimum repairs would be like $ 1500 and the maximum repairs to fix everything. Then it would be like I think he said $ 2,900. If I wanted to fix the unit completely and all that stuff, but new units started at about $ 3,000, so he’s like well, you know is that something you’d be interested in. Are you really interested in just repairing, and I said you know what for the cost difference I’d rather just replace the whole unit? My unit is, you know more than 17 years old and the national average, at least in the u.

S. Is about 12 years. Is how long they last some last like 40 and some last like two but whatever so then I had a guy named Bill, come out at 2 o’clock and explained everything to me and we have set it up where I am getting a new furnace on Tuesday. So I will be working it from home on Tuesday as well. See I’m and I like, keep it going. I guess right just keep keep working from home, I’m going to use one of these well stickers.

Unfortunately, this shop is not in business anymore and hasn’t been in quite a while, and but you know what this is perfect for this day right and then I called my mom to commiserate on home ownership, so that was fun she’s like way too adults, I’m like. I know right so anyway. Today I am filming my plan with me this morning and we’ll just put it in like right about here. I will edit at some point, but I’m not totally sure, and then this morning I did a little bit more decluttering.

So I’m going to put that right up here. Actually, you know what no I feel like I feel like. It would be better if I put this inside one of these. I don’t know why I just really like the way that that looks so much better than just on its own. Do you agree? I think that’s so cute so anyway, that is my week so far. I will probably put in whatever I do tonight, but I am planning on just enjoying my relaxing day and editing this article for you guys and oh I forgot to say okay so tomorrow the 21st is when tickets go on sale for the general ticketing for go Wild it’s in Vegas this year.

I will link the information down below where you can find it, so I am going to be going. I hope I meet some of you guys there I’m so so excited. I know some of you had sent me messages saying that you’re coming for the first time or planning on coming for the first time, so I’m so so excited to meet you all. So if you all are interested feel free to check that out, tickets are limited. So I am anticipating them selling out fairly fast, so I hope to meet as many of you that I can find there.

If you see me feel free to come up and say hello, I don’t know what you look like. So hopefully you know what I look like from all the instagrams and Facebook’s and articles that I’ve done over the years. But if you see me come say, hi we’ll take a selfie, we’ll chat for a little bit and I hope that you all decide to come. If that’s something that you’re interested in, I went for the first time last year and I had so so much fun.

I actually went completely by myself. Didn’t have a roommate, nothing, but I still had a blast and then this year it’s going to be in Vegas, which will be so much fun. Thank you guys so much for reading. I really appreciate it all. The links will be down below to all the shops that I can find, and I will talk to you all in the next article bye guys well, folks is time to kick it old school

2 Places Where Rappers Needs To Promote A Mixtape | Music Marketing Strategies

What’s up, my name is hit, play of hit, play, beats calm and my goal is to help provide rappers with the knowledge they’re going to need or to turn their dreams into their careers. So if you’re serious rapper make sure you go ahead and you hit that subscribe button down below and you click the notification bell to get notified every time, I release a new article.

Also, if you like any of the beats, you hear in the background of this article I’ll have all the direct links listed to each of those beats in the description below. So I wanted to make this article because I keep running into rappers, whether it be at local events or at local studios or online, and like there’s this one commonality that I keep finding in everybody that I keep meeting. And I don’t know if it’s just the people that I’m meeting cuz.

I know that there’s other artists that don’t do this, but it’s just the people that I keep running across. So I kind of wanted to address this. So I keep running into rappers that they’re really talented. They have really good music, but they’re only posting their music to SoundCloud. And while that’s great because I know it’s a free platform, you can put your music up, and I know that there’s this idea that you know if you just post enough music or you post music on soundcloud, that you can blow up through soundcloud.

And while that’s not entirely not true, it’s incredibly difficult because there’s so many people doing that and there’s so much music, that’s being posted to SoundCloud every single day that you have to get really lucky like you literally have to be one in a million just to Get that opportunity to be on that chart just so you can be exposed to so many people, and so one of my biggest pet peeves as of recently.

Is that hoping for that and hoping that you blow up? Isn’t a strategy right? It’s not bad to dream and hope that that works out, but there’s other stuff you can do in the meantime and that you should be doing in the meantime, if you’re serious about doing this as a career. So one of the other things that you need to be doing as an artist and like your main key objectives to have your music on as many different platforms that people can discover it on as possible.

So if you’re only posting your music to SoundCloud you’re, limiting the amount of reach and potential fans that you can get on a daily and weekly basis. That also being said, a lot of people are not discovering new music on soundcloud, a lot of people that I know that. Listen to hip hop and rap music on a regular basis, don’t even know what SoundCloud is and they didn’t until I told them about it.

However, these are the same people that come to me on a weekly monthly basis that hey have you heard that new song from so-and-so and they’re always finding new artists and new songs? And so I’m going to tell you in this article the two places that I keep hearing. Everybody mentioned that they’re finding new music and those two places are at YouTube and Spotify. So a lot of people find music through Spotify playlist, because once a song reaches a certain point and it gets a certain amount of plays in a week, it gets thrown into certain playlists and people can discover it a lot easier.

Not only that you have other people sharing music talking about it because it’s in different playlists and they discovered it and they’re, showing their friends right. That’s just Spotify on YouTube. It works a little bit differently where, if a article or your music article or lyric article or a remix, article gets a certain amount of views and a certain amount of read time within a certain amount of allotted time.

Then they’ll start promoting it on the related or like recent released page or like the front page of YouTube, where a lot of people would see it that are interested in hip-hop, music or remixes or whatever it’s because of these algorithms that are on both of these Platforms that it’s helping users find new music on a regular basis, and I wanted to let you guys know this, because, if you’re not on these platforms, yet you’re limiting the amount of reach that you have every single day, you’re eliminating the amount of potential fans and Listens and plays that you can get every single day because with YouTube as an example like with basic SEO, which stands for search engine optimization, which is how you get articles to be searchable right with basic SEO skills.

But you can literally Google, like you, can search on YouTube and say: how do I rank a article or how do I get more views on YouTube or like how do I do SEO for my articles and you’ll find a ton of things? 5. 10. 20. 30. Minutes you can go through learn at what you need to actually be doing to like start getting views and stuff on your articles on Spotify. It’s a little trickier. You need to have an actual fan base and you need to get a certain amount of plays on a consistent basis so that you can start getting into Spotify playlists and have the algorithm on Spotify recommend your music to people.

So, even though Spotify is tricky in the beginning, you still need to have your music there, because anything can happen, and I know a lot more. People listen to music on Spotify on a regular basis and they’re going to add your music to a playlist too. If they like your song, so that means that you can get more and more plays every single month because they added your song to a playlist. And so, if you don’t have any of your music up on Spotify I’ll, have a link in the description that’ll.

Give you a discount to district kid, it’s like $ 20 for a year, but there’s a certain percentage you get off and you click link in the description. So you can go ahead and check that out. If you don’t have any music up already. So I hope this article was helpful if it was make sure you go ahead and you hit that like button down below and if you have any questions comments or concerns ideas for future articles go ahead and drop that in the comment section below as well.

Until next time, guys here are some more articles,

dotCSS 2014 – Harry Roberts – 10 Principles for effective Front-end Development

Now I know this is um dot CSS. So I should really be talking about some hardcore sass, or maybe some really intricate CSS architecture. But one thing I’ve learned is that it’s really important every now and again to just leave our tool to learn, step back and take a much broader view of what we do.

So that’s why I’m speaking about these principles, they’re personal principles of mine – these are things that I do when I work and every bit of work I do, regardless of the technology, the stack, the tools I use tries to follow these principles. They’re very new. I’ve never shared these before. So if it interested to see what people think, but that’s I kind of that’s kind of thing, I’m going for today, less about tooling more about approaches so yeah, my name is Harry.

I’m a consultant web developer. That means that I spend a lot of time with a lot of different clients. I travel around a lot and learn about everybody’s problems. I’m like a developer therapist in doing this. I’ve realized that it doesn’t matter what stacks our company uses. It doesn’t matter what which preprocessor they’re used. They always have similar problems that can’t always be solved by specifics, and it’s really important to know specifics.

It’s good to know, flexbox why it’s valuable to know about SAS, it’s very, very valuable, to know different technologies, but specifics aren’t always that transferrable. One thing I’ve learned in the last few years, especially working for myself as a consultant, is that code is actually only a tiny, tiny part of what we do think about what you do. In your your day to day life, you might deal with clients, you might spend a lot of time discussing compromises with designers.

You might spend a lot of time explaining why things can’t be done to project managers. The actual code you write is a tiny, tiny part of your drug, so I think it’s important to realize that you know focuses, should shift and mind shifted a few years ago and much much for the better. I found that on a more effective developer, by ignoring the specifics and trying to focus on principle LED approach to development.

The interest is now anyone’s thoughts on this. So if you want to tweet during this talk, I’d be really grateful, so I’ve just 10 CSS will do. I know it says you know, principles for front-end development, but I only really write CSS. So all of these principles I applied directly to CSS start off with an easy one. The simplest option is usually the best. I got Hugo who’s speaking a little later to do some translations.

For me, if they’re wrong, it’s his fault, the simplest doctrine is usually the best. This seems quite obvious right. Let’s start with an obvious one. The simple option is probably the cheapest to implement the quickest and cheapest option to implement will be the simplest one. This is good for business and we’ll talk about business in a second that’s another one of my principles, but quick and cheap to implement is really valuable and it’s also easy for other developers to inherit.

When you pick up a system from someone, it’s really complex and over-engineer, that’s a horrible thing to try and work with, so always err on the side of simplicity. If you’ve got two or more options, two or more solutions to a problem, all let’s try and pick the simplest, it’s less likely to break it’s probably more robust. It’s just locks easier to work with also lessens the amount of cognitive overhead when working with a system.

It’s a really horrible thing to have to try and remember every moving part in a system which leads men to the next bit, always try and reduce the amount of moving parts in a system as a developer. It’s very easy just to do as you’re told, or it’s very easy to build the features that have been requested. I think it’s really valuable to say no to a lot of things. The best code is no occurred at all, so it’s a really good exercise for developers to get rid of unnecessary stuff.

Anything that could be removed from a project try and get rid that could be features in. I could be telling a client that you know we don’t really need this feature, let’s get rid of it or it could be actual lines of CSS. It could be reducing a 20 line mixing down into a single helper class right. Removing the amount of moving parts is a really valuable exercise. Every moving part in a system is a potential thing to go wrong.

It’s a potential point of failure. Everything you add to a system introduces the risk of something going wrong. It’s easier to men attained a system with fewer moving parts. I think it’s a really valuable exercise to get rid. The third principle understand the business now. In this context, the business could mean a few things. If you work for an agency, the business would be your managers and the client the person funding the project.

If you work in honks, if you work for a starter for a product like Kayla, get the financial times, the business is where you work every day, you’re surrounded by the business understand the business makes you a very valuable developer. It’s important to understand that every bit of work you do has a cost and a value associated with it. Try and understand the financials. I don’t mean you know, learning what your colleagues salary is, but perhaps knowing what the company charges you out on for a day right.

It makes you much more effective understanding. The cost and value of your work means that you can make very very informed decisions about what you do for the good of the company. Don’t waste other people’s money. I like to also make you a much more valuable developer. Imagine a company looks like this and you’re just a developer, you’re, not better than anyone else, you’re, no cleverer, no more important anyone else and unfortunately you’re, probably quite replaceable.

If you look around you right now, there are hundreds of people in this room who all do similar jobs so being a regular developer. Who just does their bit of the the task, isn’t necessarily a very valuable developer to have. It sounds really cruel, but I do believe it’s true um, so, instead of having this position within a business, try and have this position trying to connect yourself with everyone else’s problems, understand the cost and the value of your work.

It makes you much more valuable principle. Number four care, laughs and care appropriately. Another thing I learned in especially my time working in big companies. No one cares about your kurd more than you do. Your client doesn’t care if you’ve used SAS or less the business doesn’t really care. If you used an inline style or not, don’t stress too much about your own work and pick the right battles for everybody else, there are a lot more people working on that team than just you.

When you have. Whenever you have discussions, you have to balance everybody else’s needs and wants remain objective. When you do this care less about your own work and care about the good of the team, the stakeholders there’s a much bigger picture out there. The bigger picture looks something like this: we have the user, the person who needs the product you’re building the team. That would be you and your colleagues, designers developers, your solutions, architects, UX guys and then there’s the business.

The person funding this project. Now I’ve worked with a lot of developers who think in this degree they think about the team. They make decisions for the team. They want to use a preprocessor, because this is one we want to use good developers a bit like jugglers. Good developers will think here. The overlap, but great developers think about everybody else’s overlap. Great developers are very unselfish people, and I’ve found this in working with different companies that the most productive teams are the people who make sacrifices themselves for the good of everybody else, so care less about your own work and care more appropriately about everybody else.

The fifth of the ten principles – pragmatism, Trump’s perfection – it’s better to have good enough working today than it is to wait for perper for perfection tomorrow, get things alive. You’ve always got time to make things better. Perfect is a real real sort of misfire on the web. Anyway, think about all the different browsers devices network connections, we will never achieve perfect, so it’s not there’s no point even trying.

I worked with a client who delayed a release by nearly two weeks, because the color of the nav highlight was wrong. That’s insane! That’s! That is a you know, that is a very soft edge case thing to happen, but that’s expensive missing out on potentially two weeks of new signups, because the nav was slightly the wrong. Color is expensive users, don’t care if they’re now slightly the wrong color, because they never saw the PS DS, pragmatism, Trump’s perfection, something hacky that works today is better than something perfect that might work next week.

Never hold yourself back in the pursuit of perfection because it just slows teams down thinker, product level right. Some of these principles seem fairly interconnected. So this is a little like think about the business, but thinking up product levels, a really valuable thing for a developer. To do there’s a very sort of old but harmful view that as CSS developers, it’s our job to build PS, DS and that’s really harmful, because that’s not true at all.

We’ve got to think about the performance of occurred base. We need to think about the maintainability. The velocity of the team we’ve got a lot more to worry about than we realize so try not to put yourself in a bubble and figure out the entire product you’re in a very, very valuable position if you’ve started understanding the business and you’re a developer. So you understand the technology, you can make great decisions for that product.

True story. I once worked a company where a simple UI decision that I made save that company hundreds of thousands of pounds – it’s too long, a story to get into now, but you want to hear it over a beer I’ll. Let you buy me a beer, but yet we’ve got a profound ability to, in fact affect not in fact affect entire product. Use that wisely do what’s right for everyone. Seven do not design systems around edge cases.

I encounter this one quite a lot. Basically, don’t let the minority lead, the majority do not bet your entire product around statistical outliers or another example. For you, I worked with a company that was making a mobile website a mobile web app. They needed a spinner right, a little loading spinner. Now we had to accommodate a really old flavor of Android and a really old flavor of blackberry.

Now the Android didn’t support CSS animations and the BlackBerry didn’t support CSS and CSS animations or animated gifs, so the team spent nearly a month building a spinner that worked in every single browser. It was a combination of sprites, some horrible JavaScript and its really clunky and a really bad rendering performance, and this spinner went out to a hundred percent of our users. So, even though I only needed to be given to a small fraction of a percentage, this spinner went out to everyone.

Designing systems around edge cases is a really expensive thing to it can hold the quality of the product back solve every edge case as an edge case. Don’t let it leak in and influence the entire build of a system number eight another. Quite specific one. Don’t make decisions based on anecdotal evidence, another true story: I worked with a company who they really should have been using a preprocessor.

They had a big, a big UI and it would have really benefited from using SAS, and I got that I asked them. How can we don’t use SAS and the response was? Oh someone told me that variables don’t work very well in SAS. Well, of course, they do. Tens of thousands of people use sat every day, of course, variables working SAS. Did you not think to try this out yourself and they hadn’t they hadn’t fought to run their own tests.

They trusted a story. They trusted some box. I never trust stories, always trusted data. It’s very expensive to ignore the numbers. Another example you’re going out to eat a restaurant and you find a hundred five-star reviews for this place, and then you see one two-star review. You will obviously ignore that two-star review. The two-star review is a statistical outlier, get rid of anomalies, always trust numbers try and avoid trusting anecdotes and stories.

The ninth principle don’t build it until you’ve been asked for it. It’s really tempting, especially as a CSS developer, I’m speaking personally here to over-deliver. It’s really cool to say: I’ve made this mix in which does this, but if you pass in this parameter it does this. The problem is no one’s asked for that. So I’ve spent the business as money. I’ve made something that I haven’t paid for. I’ve spent an extra half day, sugarcoating some some sass, no one’s asked for that, but someone’s paid for it right.

So it’s a rephrasing of yeah. You ain’t going to need it. The the programming software engineering principle and it’s really valuable to try and follow it, can be harmful because you have the cost of the initial work upfront. If someone hasn’t asked for a feature, don’t build it because you’re spending someone else’s money, but also it can influence the rest of an entire project. If you build something now that has a certain dependency on a third-party library, your product is now hooked into that dependency.

So it might have a knock-on effect with future features. You want to add um and yet maintaining things that no one even wanted. Imagine having to tell your manager that I had to bug fix something, or what did you have to bug fix? You don’t really know about it, cuz, no one asked for it, but I built it anyway, and I’ve spent two days fixing it it’s a very unwise, irresponsible approach to building websites don’t build anything until you’ve been asked for it solve every single problem.

Only when you encounter it, you might be well aware that you need to support international ization in six months time. Do it in six months time, don’t do any work ahead of time expect and accommodate change. If this is the one thing that any sort of large-scale site developer should always try and do expect and accommodate change, I’ve been doing this long enough to know that clients will throw you a curve ball.

The business will make unusual decisions. Users will request odd features. Everything is subject to change, so expect it and accommodate it. Every bit of code you write, make sure you can undo it next. You can reverse decisions, keep yourself free to change direction, never tie yourself down, never put yourself into a corner. You can’t out of everything. Is subject to change so at least accommodate that, and you can use this as a really good way to just lessen the stress.

I get a lot of workshop attendees asking me: oh, we really struggle to find the right name for something. You know we spend a lot of time thing about the right name for something my advice is always pick something now right worry about something that fixes a problem right now, because they’ll probably change anyway, don’t try and predict the future always make make sure that you Can change direction, undo things and modify decisions that were made months ago because you’ll thank yourself in the long run? So just a recap, my ten principles, my 10 personal principles for effective front-end development, pick the simplest option.

It’s the quickest and the cheapest to implement it’s the easiest one to maintain its own, that’s least likely to go wrong. No one appreciates over-engineered kurd a website is not the place to show off, reduce the amount of moving parts, remove the amount of moving part from a system so that it’s more robust, more things going on in a system means more things that could potentially go wrong. It’s a really good exercise to develop as a developer, to build less.

The best code is no code at all. It’s the fastest. It’s the most robust. It’s the easiest to debug. Understand the business be aware of the fact that everything you do has a cost and a value associated with it be responsible with other people’s money. It makes you a better developer in terms of actually writing CSS, but it also makes you more employable more valuable. Member of the team, if it can be less selfish and spend your employees money wisely, you will get more effective products off the back of it and they will appreciate that work, care less and care appropriately.

When no one cares about your CSS more than you do. Stop being enclosed in a bubble and think about what you can do for everybody, pragmatism, Trump’s perfection, don’t be the guy who holds back, or at least for nearly two weeks, because the nav is slightly wrong. It’s expensive! It’s unwise and it doesn’t help anyone hacking something together. That works today is better than having something perfect in three weeks time: thinker product-level, the knowledge you have of the product you work on allows you to make very profound and far-reaching long-lasting decisions.

Do not design systems around edge cases? Do not let the minority influence the majority of your product, always design solutions to edge cases as edge cases themselves. There’s no point weighing down the entire product to cater to a minority. Good example would be if five percent of your revenue comes from ie7 users do not spend twenty five percent of your time accommodating those users it doesn’t make any sense.

I don’t make decisions based on anecdotal evidence. Anecdotes are, by definition, edge cases. Their stories always trust data, don’t build it until you’ve been asked for it. It’s tempting to build cool things before anyone needs it, but that adds blur to the codebase. It could always go wrong. You might have to maintain that for the next two years solve every problem as and when you encounter it and finally expect under comedy change.

You know full well that clients make weird decisions. They will change their mind. The business can change, focus and direction every bit of CSS. You write every bit of code. You write should facilitate that. Never tie yourself now, never put yourself into a corner, and that is me saying. Thank you very much for listening.
