HOW TO REQUEST ACCESS TO A FACEBOOK BUSINESS PAGE

You guys shout out to you who you who go you who go commented. Um commented on one of my older articles, but I thought it was a good one. I thought it was something I could share with you guys. I dropped a article in fact that article specifically goes over um. You know how i, how I request access, but i’ll just show you again. You know mid 2020 still doing the same thing focused on one niche since 2016, helping them with their social media, marketing, helping them with their facebook advertising one niche um since day one, and so this article that I dropped um.

In fact, let’s see if I can show you when this was made, this was made um, let’s just click on it. This was a article that I dropped um in back in 2019, so december 2019, not that not that long ago, but I wanted to kind of just give you an update um on how I how I request access so shout out to shout out to you yuhu. Shout out to you who, for commenting you guys any questions whatsoever, social media, marketing, um, building an agency.

You know affiliate marketing. Those are things that I focus on on this blog um. Helping people take their business online right, helping them capture leads, um, create landing pages, create sales, funnels, create email, automation, mainly mainly for real estate agents. That’s who i’ve been helping since 2016, but these same strategies apply for every small business owner. That’s why I focus on kind of keeping a general here on my youtube blog, so most businesses can can can benefit from the same.

You know value because I truly believe it’s all the same. It’s it’s paid traffic to a to a landing page to a lead capture page giving out some type of free offer that free offer can be a seven day pass to a gym. It could be a seven day pass to your yoga studio. It could be thirty. Five percent off your next burger. When you come in with your family and re redeem, this coupon, it could be a free seller guide if you’re a real estate agent, a free buyer guide.

You know if you’re a real estate agent, it could be. It could be a free consultation. It could be so many things man add to a landing page to offer that offer in order to capture that lead. That’s what this is all about, and so um again i’ve been focused on one industry. It’s all the same um. This is a question right here, a comment from from you who go hi david, I i am already an admin of the page on facebook.

However, when I go to facebook business, I do not see my page being reflected there. Um added the page, but the message I got: let’s see what it says, but the message I got was your request was access. Your request for access is pending yep. I know exactly what you’re talking about okay cool, so i’ll help you with this you who all right didn’t get any requests on page roles. How can I do with this? Okay perfect? So i’m going to i’m going to simply just walk you through and again that article was pretty much showing you how I do it, but i’m going to do it again, give you an updated version of 2020 um how I do it now um! So here’s what I do my whole initial pitch my whole initial um offer to to to you know my my clients to to the business owners that i’m helping with their you know marketing with their digital marketing.

My whole first approach and first product is the lower ticket. It’s a lower ticket. It’s it’s! It’s designed to break the bread. It’s designed to build a relationship. It’s designed to build rapport. It’s designed to get my foot in the door right. It’s offering a low ticket to to us to to a real estate agent, for example, um, but again the same you know, strategies apply for any business, but i’ll help them knock out a few optimizations on their social media platforms.

I’ll help them run a few basic, simple facebook ads just to give it a facelift and so in the very very beginning, as i’m onboarding a client i’ll request access to their business page so rather than asking for passwords, because I don’t want to do that right. I don’t want to ask them for their facebook password or anything like that. What I do is I tell them, especially in the beginning. It’s only in the beginning, when i’m, when i’m requesting access to their business, account to run a couple ads.

It’s only in the beginning, because what I do is I run those ads from my end. That’s that’s what this is all about. So what i’m going to show you over here yuhu, let’s go back to his question um. What i’m going to show you right here is how I request access so again, the first few ads that i’m running for them. It’s just to it’s just to get my foot in the door. It’s just to give their pages a facelift, i’ll run a like ad for them i’ll run.

Maybe a facebook article ad for them and and get thousands of people in their local area to see it right. A handful of first basic ads, low ticket um that gets that client on board and then and then I have a value ladder. You know from that point on, but um i’ll show you right here how I do it without asking for passwords, and so this is what I do all i’ll be on screen share. First of all, so if you’re not using this platform, which I just got done telling my son about it – um he’s a gamer.

You know shout out to christian he’s, building a youtube blog, um gaming and and just crushing it right, but I just got done telling them about this platform. This is a platform i’ve been using since 2016 since 2016.. Actually, since yeah yeah, let’s just call it 2016.. Since 2016, i’ve been i’ve been using this and and um rather than talking on the phone, rather than trying to explain my marketing services to a prospect over the phone over the telephone right over the old school phone, rather than doing that, i’ve always used zoom.

I’ve literally closed hundreds of clients, hundreds i’ve, i’ve done business with hundreds of social media clients again all in the same niche since 2016, and 100 of them came from zoom so, rather than on a phone call trying to verbally pitch what i’m offering. I always use. Zoom, so I can visually screen share and I can show them what i’m offering right. That has been a game changer um since day one so as I as i’m on line as i’m on zoom with them and kind of going over their facebook page going over.

You know what I can do and how i’m going to be able to help them and all this stuff right, i’m doing it all through zoom, i’m doing it all through through screen screen share and at the very end, when i, when i’m getting ready to onboard That client, when i’m getting ready to process that credit card right, I already onboarded them now, it’s game time now, i’m about to just run a few, a few basic ads for them again, i’m doing it on my end, um from their page, but from my ad Account and so here’s how you do it, you guys you just go to go to the client’s business page right and I tell them to go to their page as well, and I always want to double click home right here.

Just so I can get the full link. I don’t want all those characters at the end 972-129 right. I don’t want all those random characters. I only want this url right here. Facebook.Com forward, slash taft group, okay, so that’s what i’m looking for. So i’m i’m on screen share i’m showing them this. I’r also telling them to go ahead and hit escape, because I need them to open up a browser and go to their business page as well.

So i’m walking them through this as i’m online with them, and all I do is I grab this url and then I come back here and then I this is my ads manager. I click on the dots right here. I go to business settings and then what i’m going to do is i’m going to click on pages to the left. So writing your business settings – and this is one page you want to bookmark. What I would do is, I would create a facebook ads, which is my folder right here.

I would create an an ads manager folder, if I were you guys park it right here at the top book. You know create an actual folder and then start bookmarking a bunch of different pages inside the ads manager. This is one page. You definitely want to bookmark. This is your your business settings. Okay, so in here you click on pages and all i’m going to do is i’m going to click on the blue one add i’m going to request access to a page, i’m going to paste in that link and always make sure you see the drop down always Make sure you see the drop down? Okay, you’re, going to click on that and then you’re going to click you’re going to come down here to manage page.

You want admin access, okay, you don’t want just create ads. Just you know, freaking um, editor or whatever. You know you want everything just just request everything manage page admin, access, get the full shebang. Okay. Now here’s what’s going to happen right when I click on request access, in fact, let me just do it for the heck of it. I don’t know this person shout out to the taft group, but um, i’m using yours as an example, and then I can always remove remove it real, quick right right away as well.

Let me just show you guys for the example so bam right there. I just requested them now. What I do is, I tell them and this what so. This is what i’m thinking you’re saying: uh yoohu. This is what i’m thinking you’re saying because over here in your question or in your comment, however, when I go to facebook business, facebook business, I do not see my page being reflected there out of the page, but the message I got was your request for access Is pending so look? This is what I see right here.

Your request for access is pending so boom. That’s what i’m going to see on my end right now on their screen, i’m telling them i’m saying: hey, okay, cool share screen! If you want and i’ll walk you through this, so when they’re looking at their page, in fact, let me go to my business page because, when you’re looking at your own business, page you’re, looking at it from the editing editing, you know perspective whereas right there.

I I didn’t have access to the taft group right, so I i don’t see what I see now right here, which is business manager, because i’m not an admin, but when you’re looking at it from your page from your from your perspective from your site, you’re looking At your business page this, what you see you see everything here at the top page ad center inbox. So this is what they’re seeing right, i’m telling them! I’r saying: hey! Go to your business page and here’s what you’re going to do! You’re going to click on settings right there in the top right, okay, you’re going to click on settings and then what you’re going to do is over here, on the left hand, side you’re, going to click on page roles and right here in the page roles.

This is what i’m telling them. I’r saying: click on page roles and as you scroll down towards the middle of the page, you’re going to see right here, respond to request you’re going to see inspired digital, which is me right. You in your case. It might be your business page or it might be your name, but whatever it is, you tell them. You say: hey man, you see my name right there and and you’re at that point.

It’s not going to say remove. Yours is going to say, respond to request. So this is all i’m telling i’m saying: okay, cool! Look at look for my page right there under agencies. Look for my page and all you’re going to do is you’re going to respond to request. They click on that it takes them through a process where facebook asks for their password. They enter their password on their end and they accept your request and then here’s what you have to do.

This is what’s super important. Then you have to refresh this page right here: okay, follow my lead, you have to refresh this page and then it will say access given or access granted. It will say that right here at the top now this one’s going to say it’s still going to say pending, because these people don’t even know me right – the taft group so they’re not going to request they’re not going to accept me at all.

I’r just doing this for the example but you’re going to see right here. It won’t say once they do that on their end right once they respond to requests put in their password, and then you come over here and refresh the page this right here. It will no longer say your request for access is pending. It will now say you now have uh granted you now. Your access has now been granted or it’ll say something like that.

You’ll you’ll you’ll know it looks different than this right here: okay and then what you have to do, which is mandatory required or you’re not going to be able to to to attach yourself what you’re going to do is you’re going to scroll down and you’re going To simply add read, let me let me look at this client so right here, i’m going to add people, that’s what you’re going to see. This is exactly what you’re going to see right here: you’re going to see you’re going to see owned by individual and then you’re going to see permissions given.

This is what it is. So you end up seeing this right here and then you add people. You won’t see your name right there just yet until you add people, you click on, add people. You find your name over here to the left. You check that circle and then you assign that is it? Okay, that’s how I do it. That’s how i, and and the reason why I do it this way again, is because i’m only running a handful of ads for them in the beginning, and i’m doing it for my ads manager from their business page, which this allows me to do it from their Page once I add people and add my name and then I add people then boom there’s my name right there.

I have access to the page, i’m good. Now I can run it from my ads manager, but from their page. Okay – and this is this – is when I run a like ad – this is how I run a like ad i’ll. Take them from 300 likes to 3 000 likes i’ll run like ads like this, and then i’ll run a handful of article ads for them. Just in the very beginning, and then once I get them as a monthly retaining client, then i’ll teach them how to do it from their end.

Okay, um! So that’s how I do it there and then once you come over here to the ads manager. Once you add your name, okay, you have to add your actual name right there, where it says, add people once you do that and then you come over here and run an actual ad. Let’s come back over here and let’s just go through the setup, just um. This is a brand new account. Let me just try this one. So as I go through the setup hit, the green button create, let’s say we’re going with um.

Let’s just say: let’s, let’s say engagement, let’s say we’re doing a page like ad um. So there goes engagement, we’ll scroll down. There goes page likes, we’ll click, the blue button and then over here it’s going to ask us which page um do you want to run it from and then you’re going to just simply hit the drop down so right here? It is um okay, so let’s get on this part we’ll hit next and it’s right here.

So it’s going to say, facebook page and all i’m going to do is hit the drop down and i’m going to find that page. So all of my pages are right here. All of the pages that I manage are right here in my inspired digital. Now again you might have a business name right there. You might have your name right there, just look for the multiple pages and you’ll see it there, so I click right there and then I find that one page taft group or whatever and then boom.

I choose that and now and then I keep going and then I run that ad again, a like add a article ad i’ll. Do it like this just to kind of get my foot foot in the door just to just to start that that business relationship and let these people know exactly how how much value I can bring? And then again, if I end up taking them up my value ladder, that’s when i’ll get them as a monthly, retaining client and teach them how to do all this from their end.

Okay, so hopefully that made sense. You guys again, i’m dropping bombs like this. Every single day social media marketing, um, affiliate marketing, making money online um and and just keep it simple, whatever type of business you’re building, if if it comes down to, if you’re, looking if you’re building the type of business where it comes down to capturing leads, because You have some type of offer.

Maybe you own a local yoga studio. Maybe you own a local ice cream joint. Maybe you own a local restaurant. Maybe you own a local gym, maybe you’re a local real estate agent and you sell houses. Maybe you do solar, whatever it may be, you’re in business to sell a product or service to do it online. We need basic tools and that’s what i’m dropping on this blog is is what does it take? What type of web page do we need? What type of email automation do we need? What type of landing pages do we need? How do we run these basic facebook ads that are going to drive traffic to our website, so we can capture leads and make money? How do we do all that online? Social Media Trends to Watch Out for in 2020 – Time To Get Social

Your business you’ve probably sat down your building your marketing strategy of all these new ideas. I want to make sure that you understand the top trends of 2020 that you need to look out for as a business in terms of social media. Marketing and a lot of these are things that we’re looking at for our clients that we’re going to be rolling out.

I want to make sure that you understand them and that you are using them, because these things are going to be huge in 2020. Okay, the first one of these is tick. Tock tick. Tock is super powerful. It’s going to keep growing 20 20 hundreds of millions of users. The organic exposure is unreal. It is Instagram five years ago and we all know how that turned out for people who hopped on five six seven years ago, now’s your chance to do that with tick tock.

It’s a younger demographic, but a that’s great. If your business already targets younger demographics, you’re spot on but B, if your business doesn’t that’s okay, because there’s also an aging demographic coming onto the platform, but the younger demographic is sharing this content with their friends, their family they’re, sharing it on their Instagram and their Facebook as tik-tok allows that, and so it doesn’t matter what you’re targeting forget the age of Emma graphic.

If you can get content content on tick tock in 2020, do it it’s going to be worth it you’ll. Thank me later. Okay, number, two long format. Article continues to hold strong long format, article being 8, 9, 10 minutes plus right YouTube, LinkedIn Facebook, so many more platforms now are allowing this even Instagram as Instagram TV right. They are now allowing series you can upload series of articles.

Like basically TV shows, people are just content, consumption monsters and your business can take advantage of that, create more long format, deep-dive stuff, that’s actually meaningful and valuable. 2020 and you’ll see a huge result from it. Okay, the third one is paid advertising. As you know, Facebook and Instagram have been cutting the organic reach of the business accounts, especially to a ridiculous extent.

It’s almost impossible to reach anyone anymore you’re, not going to grow your business if you’re not paying for advertising period. The platforms are insanely powerful, but you have to pay to get the most out of them. We’re talking Facebook Ads, Instagram, ads story, ads messenger ads. You can even run tik-tok ads by the way through Facebook, which is pretty cool. Okay. The fourth thing is multi-platform strategies right in 2020: it’s all about being every where that doesn’t mean you need to create unique content for every single blog, because who has the time for that? But it means you need a smart strategy where you can produce content once that works for every platform.

That’s what we do here. I basically film like four articles a month and that gives us all of our content for YouTube. Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, emails, everything right! Everything so come up with a great strategy. We figured out. You guys got ta figure it out I’ll. Do a article on my strategy at some point this year and show you what we do here. Number five text. Marketing text marketing is again becoming massive right.

Very powerful, as email, open rates, kind of decline and emails are becoming less responsive text is where it’s at people are still checking these. This is the TV of 2020. This is where everybody’s attention is so, in addition to being on social media. You also want to be in people’s texts right. You want to start building a text database instead of just collecting your customers, emails collect their numbers, so you can text them.

You can market to them where they actually respond, who doesn’t check their phone when it goes ding, and you go oh, what’s that everyone still checks that right now take advantage of it. Okay text marketing there’s a ton of great platforms to look into from the complicated ones like Twilio, which lets you custom code, all kinds of cool things too easy texting, simple texting. I’ve used a bunch of them slick text.

I’ve definitely tested a few. I think we’re using easy text right now or easy texting whatever it’s called, but basically you integrate that into your marketing. Someone opts in through your funnel make sure you get their number put it in this marketing system, so that you can build a database of numbers that you can market to okay, very important in 2020, that you do that partially also because we want to start moving Towards gaining attention on social media, but then as quickly as possible, pulling that off the platform and owning it, because we don’t know what the future holds for a lot of these blogs.

What they’re going to! Let you do what they’re not going to? Let you do you want to use them to get attention for your brand, get names, emails, numbers and then own that so that no matter what happens you still own your own audience, okay, and that’s why it’s very very important texting is going to be crucial in 2020, the last strategy is the last big trend is alternative. Advertising platforms are growing in popularity, so things like ways like Spotify.

Those are huge ways is great because it’s great for local marketing. If you’re in a tucked away spot people drive by they, don’t see you you’re a restaurant you’re, a golf club you’re, something that people actually become into a retailer Waze make sure that as people drive by you pop up on the map, every single time, that’s crucial Right now that everyone is using Waze on their phone as they drive, you want to make sure you’re coming up and that you’re visible and it’s still relatively cheap and easy to use.

So I recommend it as well as other platforms like Spotify. Definitely look into that. These are all platforms they’re now allowing advertising that can bring some diversity to your digital marketing strategy and it doesn’t hurt to test they’re working well. We have seen and worked with clients using it, but definitely recommend trying it out. For yourself, I’m not saying it’s going to work, it’s just a trend, that’s happening! More people are jumping on board, so that’s my big six things coming up for 2020 will definitely be diving deeper into these, as I come out with more articles every single week, but that’s all you need to know for now.

3 Critical Metrics to Follow With Google Analytics

With the analytics In a week, I check our analytics On our site all the time, but I feel like I’m just sort of Poking around and sometimes I ’ ll – find a nugget Or things like that, but I do feel intimidated. Because it’s such a you know versus something: Like a Facebook, where you’re just guided Through creating an ad In analytics, it’s like you’re in A fighter cockpit in a way right, There’s a lot more stuff.

Going on there, So I think what people Are really interested in are sort of systems That you know “ Here’s how you do A 10-point check on your analytics.” or something like that. Can you talk a little bit? About your framework, when it comes to actually Setting up analytics and what are Some of the key metrics that people need to be focusing on If there are any Yeah sure So, first of all, what we got to do, Is make sure that Google Analytics is tracking correctly When we do install the code? We do some initial testing, we go ahead.

We visit from mobile phones from the desktop To see, does it get the country? Does it get the divide? Does it get all that kind of stuff After we enable The eCommerce tracking, which is not enabled – and I don’t really know why But you have to do that manually. There are a few things: Really really simple things that no one has to be Really intimidated by these First of all, Conversion Rate, Super important We have to know How many people, out of a hundred and because some of the people? That might read the interview, are not really tech savvy or don’t really know.

What a Conversion Rate is Conversion rate is what the amount The percentage of the people that they get to convert, What does convert mean They get to do a sale, They get to buy something From our websites and we’re talking, About the eCommerce, So is it 1 % Like 1 out of 100 people, Two out of 100, One of the simple things that you can do, If you have 1 % Conversion Rate, which is an okay Conversion Rate, It’s sort of like the industry baseline In a way right, -It’s an industry baseline, let’s say -Yeah, I know those sort of things You get.

One person Out of a hundred people, but you paid for those A hundred people to come into your store and you get 1 % Conversion Rate. What, if you look At your numbers – and you figured your website – In that way, you get a 2 %, I won’t go into 5 % or 10 % Literally with just that move the amount of money That you are getting into your revenue simply by one thing, So Conversion Rate Is super important? The other super important thing is Average Order Value or AOV So AOV.

Why? Because, if I get an average On a customer, let’s say he buys something: Which is $ 20 every customer, and even if I can give That $ 25 or $ 30 literally, I don’t have to change anything else. In my whole other strategy, I’m spending the exact same money, but I’m getting more From every customer Conversion rate, Super important Average Order Value Super important, Then there are more technical stuff that they don’t have to be.

Super intimidating, so one of them Is Bounce Rate I will stick To those three, obviously, there are way more But I don’t want to over complicate it So Conversion Rate Average Order Value and Bound Rate. So what is Bounce Rate How quickly people bounce They get off your website? As soon as they see it, The Bounce Rate is measured. By a percentage, The biggest the percentage The worse, our stores are performing An average in the industry.

Let’s say it’s 65 % to 70 %, but still it means that 70 % of the people Were just paid with Facebook Ads with Google Ads Or whatever that is, They just came to our website. And they didn’t even spend more than one second In our store, So even if you get an average Of let’s say, of 80 %, which means 80 % of Google Didn’t even see your landing page, You get it down to 75 % Even 70 % even lower, it means that you start making More more and more money for every visitor and potential customer That visits your store, It doesn’t really have to be intimidating.

If you translate everything to money. Then it becomes way easier Way: sexier And those three metrics are the key ones. That people need to be looking at. I think that’s a really valid point. I don’t know that You’re the biggest Marvel movie fan. But if you have to be an Avenger Which one might you choose? Probably I would be Doctor Strange, I like to think of myself, like The geek I am, and the nerd I am When people go out, And have fun and they party I go work.

Or read webinars or look at things: I could change in the store, somehow we can make More things, I think, I’m living Like Doctor Strange People call me The Mr. Google Analytics -Doctor Analytics -Doctor Analytics Doctor analytics, So that’s one of the things That I really really enjoy because I said Google Analytics Is not sexy but making money is, and I like making money 100 %. How to Use Facebook for Your Online Business

What’s up, How are ya Good, No surprise we’re going to Dive into Facebook today The book face But I also ( laughing ) The face book. It is your favorite right, It is my favorite No well, I don’t like To choose favorites So we’re talking about Facebook for your business – Maybe I just have a personal page and I’ve decided – maybe it’s Time to create a business page for my business right, What are kind of the First, steps that I need to really think about Well you’re, already, Off to a great start, You wan na go to a business page And that’s really important.

Because then, you get the ability to track metrics and analytics So absolutely business. Page over personal page And then from there You wan na make sure you set up your profile. Get that profile photo. Usually your logo works great or maybe, if it’s your personal brand use a great headshot of yourself and then take that cover photo to really showcase your Products or your services and then from there make Sure all your information is up to date And that Is really important? Your hours, your website, Your phone number 100 % And make sure that lines up with your Google And your Yelp listings too Right I went into a coffee shop recently I Was in northern California, You drink a lot of coffee, ( laughing ), It’s true And the cashier was looking At me, like I don’t know like, maybe she wanted to rush me and I’m thinking they’re Open for two more hours, what’s the deal, ( laughing ) Sure enough, they were Closing in five minutes I go, but your Facebook says and I wanted to Go into my spiel like this, but I saved it got a quick Coffee to go fortunately, but that’s the whole point.

I left with a customer experience that wasn’t as ideal And then onto probably one of the largest most impactful components: content Right, always preach Quality over quantity Yeah, so you definitely Want to make sure you vary your content, So mix it up. You know you don’t Wan na become predictable; Okay, And you also don’t want to turn into just a business always talking about yourself right. It becomes so salesy.

When it’s always about me, me me So salesy me me me: yeah, Buy this, buy that Yeah sell, sell, sell; Rather you want to Tell tell tell Exactly ( laughing ) Throw something out there. That’s entertaining I mean social media is escapism. Exactly Or whatever you do, You could also ask a question: What is your “ go, to” order when You come into our restaurant Or, what’s you favorite thing on the menu and your favorite person to dine with, And so it’s your customers Spreading word of mouth about what’s great to eat So on Twitter and Instagram Hashtags are super relevant, but I don’t always see It as often on Facebook Are they a thing.

Absolutely I mean here’s the thing when it comes to using hashtags Whether it’s on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook, Or if you’re just posting either way you got ta monitor it, because it’s going to be Different for each business, It doesn’t hurt to use Them just be mindful and use relevant, hashtags Perfect and probably only one or two Don’t go overboard. So without any further ado, let’s go ahead and get started right now, alright, guys, first and foremost, I want to walk you through a few of the principles as to why and how email is so important and how it should be incorporated into your store to align With your brand and ensure that you’re doing things at the right way and not diluting your email list, killing your conversions and making sure that you’re getting the most out of your ad spend now just like many of the drop shippers, all of us are going out There and spending a good amount of money on advertising to go ahead and get traffic to our stores.

Now, if you’re not utilizing automated email on the back end for all that traffic, that comes through your store, then quite frankly, you’re wasting a ton of money on what you went ahead and acquired now. Yes, you have all that data from your advertising, but, quite frankly, you also have these emails, whether it’s through abandoned carts or purchases, that you can leverage to increase your sales on your store with absolute ease.

So with that being said, I’m going to walk you guys through the principles as to how all of this works and the basic automated funnels that you can go ahead and set up to make sure that you’re not doing this day in and day out and breaking Your back trying to make sure that your emails are up to point when all this could very well be automated a lot of people, overcomplicate, email marketing. Quite frankly, it’s one of the biggest mistakes to go ahead and look away from it.

Just because you think it’s complicated because in this article I’m going to even give you my free email templates that you can plug and play to make sure that you’re doing this all properly. You want to make them feel welcomed and build that connection now. Email marketing is one of the most important touch points that you should be incorporating into your business, because there are a lot of things that you can go ahead and do through the post purchase process. You do things such as educate them on the product that they just purchased, give them some sort of tutorial on how to use it and build up that perceives value and excite them to actually receive their order.

Second, you can also reduce their buyer’s remorse. I know that there’s a lot of people reading this article right now or I’ve done it myself, I’ll confess to it. There have been plenty of times where I’ve purchased something online and then a few days later, I’m wondering did I really need this or should I have really purchased this, and what you can do here is send those post purchase emails to begin to inform them and Let them know rest assured that their products on the way and that’s what they should be excited for it or even offer them a discount or welcome to your community by giving them some sort of education or value to your actual business.

Now this can be any sort of medium of content, maybe a article, a blog post, a tutorial on how to use your products and so on so forth to make sure that they actually feel welcomed and that they’re actually building a connection with your brand. Now. This is going to allow you to go ahead and build the longevity of your brand and gain a higher LTV out of your customers, which is a lifetime value of your customers, meaning that there’s a higher chance that they’ll come back and purchase more products from your Store, rather than just that, simple one-time sale and that’s one of the big advantages that we have over people that are selling on Amazon is that you could simply go ahead and find one customer that could purchase from you over and over again.

Whereas Amazon, you don’t get to build that relationship in connection with your customers and build a brand that is to last a long time. You can only live off of one-off sales for so long and supplementing your sales with repeat. Customers is one of the most valuable things that you can do to build a real sustainable business online. So, second, we’re going to talk about abandoned cart emails, which is how you can go ahead and regain lost sales if you’re, just letting your abandoned, cart, sit there or you’re.

Sending basic Shopify generated, abandoned, cart, emails you’re, simply not doing enough and not trying enough to actually regain that sale. Now, some people maybe didn’t want to pay shipping, or they got distracted and didn’t get to complete their order whatever it may be. You want to make sure that that is a personalized email, making sure that they are ready to go ahead and close that sale and the best and easiest way possible.

So in this article, once we go ahead and jump into my computer, I’m going to walk you through exactly how to set up a successful, abandoned, cart funnel, which is going to be super super important for people that are losing sales on the checkout page. So with that being said, let’s go ahead and dive into my computer right now. We’re also going to be diving, some other fundamentals, in addition to the stuff that we just talked about, such as sending flash broadcast emails to make sure that you’re spiking up your sales on times that are potentially down for your ads and also how to go ahead.

And set up dynamic, high converting emails, rather than generic emails that you may send every other day and stuff that might break your back because, quite frankly, all of this should be automated. You shouldn’t be going into your Shopify dashboard, pulling out your customers and sending them emails through your personal email account every day, because it’s just stupid and it’s wasting your time and money.

This should be automated stuff that is literally plug-and-play, so that once customers go through your funnels and go through your store that you have everything set up to maximize the value of every single store visitor with your business. So without any further ado, let’s go ahead and dive into my computer right now, so I could walk you through setting all this up right now so before we dive into my computer, don’t forget to drop that insightful comment to be eligible for a 30 minute.

So we have product purchase, we have product refund and also cart abandonment. These are the three primary ones that we have right now and also in the coming week. We’re going to be able to go ahead and send emails and create new triggers based on newsletters and also the minimum amount of money that certain customers have spent on your store or the LTV of your customers. So, for example, if someone has spent over a hundred dollars on your store and the entire duration of them being an existing customer, then they’re going to be put into a unique email series themselves.

And, of course, you could go ahead and customize that amount to set up to whatever you want to be able to be essentially a value threshold that will go ahead and send these customers an email based on what they’re doing, and you can go ahead and mark It to them accordingly, so for this example, we’re going to go ahead and just do a basic cart, abandonment, email and you could go ahead and even move forward with actually segmenting that specific, funnel with the specific products that you want, the funnel to be built for, But in this case we’re going to go ahead and do any product and we’re going to create a new email list so that we know every one that goes out and abandons cart is going to be on their own email list in our store.

So with that being said, we have that set up now we want to go ahead and build an email for that funnel. So let’s go ahead and build our drag-and-drop email with mail funnel. So this going to be our AC number one round description. You forgot this for the subject and then we’re going to go ahead and move forward with actually building this actual template now believe it or not. This is super easy for you to go ahead and do because we have all these pre-built content templates for you to actually work off of if you’ve never built good, looking emails or emails in general before so with that you can go ahead and check out our Dump for you email templates, we have a abandoned, cart, template right here, a post purchase and also a refund template, and that’s for, like all of our three basic triggers, and also in addition to that.

You have all these other categories that you can go ahead and check out to build the emails you desire, but, most importantly, one of my favorite ones that we have is the dynamic cart. So when we go ahead and plug this into our actual email template. This is going to adhere to whatever your customers are engaging with, so whatever products were in your customers. Cart, it’s literally going to pull the first three items that were in their cart and then plug them into this email, with the specific variance, the quantity that they had selected and more and then also at the bottom of this email.

It has a dynamic button over here and then also in this sub headline here that will direct them back to their actual checkout page with all of their shipping information all of the products in their cart and the variance already fulfilled in there, rather than bringing them Back to the actual website, or back to the cart page and everything is already pre fulfilled, reducing the hoops to jump through for your customers and also increasing your conversion rate on these emails into actual sales for your store.

So this placeholder right here is actually going to pull the first product image listed and Shopify for your product, so they’ll be reminded of exactly what’s in their cart: it’ll pull the product name, the variant, the color and the quantity or whatever options that you have for That specific product and actually go ahead and give them that button so, rather than leaving guys with just this template and all these placeholders, I want to show you guys how this actually looks in real life action.

So I’m going to go ahead and send a test email to myself here and you guys can do this if you have an account as well so literally just go to this little drop down menu and you do send test email. So you can go ahead and see what your emails look like before you start sending them to your customers. So we simply just go ahead and select any random product on our store and then we’re going to go ahead and send it to ourself.

So we’re going to send it to mail funnels at gmail.Com. This is just a junk email. Don’t send any emails here. Our real email address, if you wan na contact us, is support at fungals. Calm so be sure to go ahead and do that rather than spam. This email address cuz, you won’t get a response so over here we have this email that just came in and it says you forgot this for the subject and then right there.

We have our actual template here for the email address. So this is our dynamic. Cart. Template and both this link right here and the button at the bottom of the screen, will take them back to their checkout page. Alright. So with that, that is exactly what our dynamic cart template looks like, and if you wanted to go ahead and enhance it or add stuff around it, you could literally drag and drop whatever you desire below or above it or even within it.

So let’s say you wanted to go ahead and add an extra image somewhere, for example, and maybe show an entire collection. You could go ahead and add that at the bottom of your email, so that’s just a simple example of how to go ahead and build an email on mail funnels and then you can go ahead and simply plug it into your funnels here. So, let’s go ahead into our abandoned, cart, funnel and we’re going to add our first action to our email sequence.

So we’ll simply just label this, you know follow up number one, and then we select our email template, which is our EC one, that we just created and we’re going to go ahead and send this 10 minutes after someone abandons cart and we simply connect the nodes Right here and press save – and next thing you know people are able to go ahead and get this email on complete auto-pilot without you ever having to dive into your store and send some generic email that doesn’t convert or really adhere to what your customers been doing.

In their activity on your store, so with that being said, this is literally just a simple one: email sequence for your abandoned, cart. Funnel. Of course, you can add a bunch more after this literally, you could build out a seven or ten or 14-day sequence after this very first email and make sure that you’re doing your best to regain sales without being too spammy and making sure that you’re actually engaging With your customers – and you can do this with post-purchase emails, abandon cart, emails or refunds, and then soon to be in our next update in the coming week, is going to be newsletters and value-based triggers for your email funnel.

I know it is Anyway, I’m going to get straight to the first question, So I Know that you don’t have a background in marketing, You are an engineer by Profession and yet you choose social media marketing as a career. How exactly did you Learn the tools and develop the skills to become a social media, marketer Well, To learn courses, there are multiple courses available online, Free and paid Depending on what you want to go for it depending, if you have a budget or not, I Think going through those courses and actually applying it and working on A portfolio because that makes a big difference.

Fortunately, for me, I reached Out to a couple of friends who were starting out their own businesses and Also people who had taken up to their family businesses So that way for me, I Got a chance to experiment and explore and try out whatever I was Learning on these different, you know these different businesses and that Became my portfolio right, It would be difficult for me to go. Get a client Because I would not have any credibility, but this way you know I was doing as Much as you know, these people got their work done at no cost or probably free It was actually a bigger favor for me to have a portfolio to present to people.

Beyond that, Let me ask you a more basic question: Because a lot of people don’t really know what a portfolio is and how Important it actually is, so if you can tell us what a portfolio is and how Exactly you built your portfolio a little more specifically, if you could Do that for us All right, so a portfolio could be very specific based On which vertical of digital marketing you want to go to because, like I said, Digital marketing is a large, you know it’s a large field, it has its own Verticals within it, You could be a person specializing in Facebook ads in Search engine optimization in affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, You Could also be building websites in general, which is your basic web Development right – and it depends where you want to showcase your, how you want to showcase your portfolio but, more importantly, where a portfolio Stands out is if you are able to showcase how you were able to present or You know showcase a growth of a business.

You associated a partner with from point A to point B during the time you are, you know you helped and worked on it. Right so that gives a better vision or sense of better standard for people. Wanting to understand what a portfolio is supposed to look like, So just to simplify, basically a portfolio, is you know your practice? It’s like a practice pitch. You create a lot Of things based on your experience and then you have it to show for your Clients in the future right Yeah best practice, because also you need to show The right kind of portfolio going forward, For example, if I have a Portfolio, for example, of of ten different kinds of businesses and if two Or three of them could be portfolios of real estate and, if I’m not too keen on Working on the real estate side, although I might have worked on it, it’s not Something I’d necessarily want to show as my portfolio, So I’ve heard that you Went to a lot of friends when you started out to get their portfolio, I mean to build your portfolio, you kind of went to them and asked if you could do Their website is that true Yeah, it worked both ways.

They said: “, hey, you’re, Doing this, your jobless, why don’t you do this?”? I said “, Yeah, great” and also I requested People, if I could try out what I was learning on their Businesses, because I was also certain that it was going to work and also it It didn’t come to all these people at a cost, so they were willing to Experiment also, So it was a win-win situation. Both ways.So portfolio is really really important when you are starting out as a social media marketer.

Yes, it goes. It holds much higher weightage than any certifications you get online. They don’t Matter: Okay, so now you’ve been in the industry for a while. Now can you tell me How long it actually takes for a freelancer to make money out of working As social media marketer as a freelance Well honestly, since I got into Digital marketing, my first three months, I think, was a lot of learning on pure Basics and it and I kept learning I I started taking projects three months.

I Mean three months into the learning phase. So if you ask me, I think I Actually started, you know making my first buck as a freelancer, probably five Months after I began my learning process, It could have begun earlier too, and This is something I would like to share you. I don’t think anyone needs to be in A hurry to earn that quick buck, because the way I look at it there are enough Businesses around us, everybody needs marketing, it’s not a big deal.

If you go Out there and actually get a client, I mean it’s really nice, but you know it’s Not too difficult What actually matters is getting the right kind of client by Showcasing the right kind of work. So if you actually end up working on yourself, Understanding tools and processes better in digital and are able to build your Portfolio well and then go and get a client that that would be a normal flow.

But if you ask me six months, I think it took me six months. I could have done it. Earlier I just chose not to That’s nice, but for people who are looking for something more specific. How much would someone with your experience make in a month just to be just to know how much that would be Sure as a freelancer, you know You can a freelancer can bill a client or a brand at you know: 20,000 Rupees a Month to 50,000 Rupees a month, even a lakh, a Month, so it depends on how much work you can handle if you can Handle two or three clients who are paying you about 40,000 Rupees a month.

Yeah, you can learn about a lakh and 40,000 Rupees a month as a freelancer, but then Again, you know, being a freelancer. Has your pros and cons, I mean you’re, a Single man team, which is going to be difficult because you can’t you know Take days off you’re going to be, you can’t handle the crisis of three Clients at the same time, so it has its pros and cons, but yeah I mean it. Depends on the individual, so anything between like say, even if you charge Three different clients: ten thousand rupees each.

You can start with at least At a thirty thousand rupees a month, So as a freelancer, you can make 30,000 a month. That’s really good! Ok, so now to get into something more Serious Now, once you developed the tools and you developed the skills to be a Social media marketer. How? And where did you find the clients? Because you know They’re not like sitting there waiting for you. How did you find your clients To be honest, with you most of my clients, I found that at a party My First client I found out at the bar quite literally and most of them, but When that that’s quite true right, I think for me personally, personal Connections has worked a lot because if you’ve done work for somebody and you Know, there’s a very and if they’re happy, there’s a very high chance that they Will refer you to their peers in their network because again, if you refer Someone good you know it’s a pat on the back as well right, because a good Referral goes a long way.

Apart from that, I did. I did use different Facebook Groups I mean everyone should be aware that every city town has some localized Facebook group or the other right where people are probably wanting something to Sell wanting a service or wanting help or whatever Every city has it a Bangalore has it Bombay, has it Bangalore, has even more localized groups for every Area like in Indranagar will have their own groups right so tapping into these Groups and not selling your products right, You want to be offering value.

People will post a question or a problem on their group. Go there help them out. Get on a call with them solve that problem. For them you never Know I mean if you manage to build a trust which I think, for me at least, has Been the biggest in a factor, because if you, if you give someone value, they are Able to trust you and they would like to work with you in the long run and then Referrals come So word of mouth is the best way to you know to get across your clients, but to make a start, you have a lot of Facebook groups that you know where People inquire and also there are there are freelance platforms: upwork.

Com Freelancer.Com are platforms, they are very competitive. You need to be, you know, Good at closing your deal to be able to get your projects on on these platforms. Because it’s a bidding, it’s a bidding way. It’s a way. You bid for a particular Project and at the same time, it is how you communicate to them to actually land Your gig, so these things matter on on platforms like this, but why I choose to Prefer, like you know, a Facebook group over and up work personally, and this is What’s worked for me is because, if I, if I establish a connection over a Facebook, Group – I don’t know it’s just that I feel there’s a friendly approach already, if Someone’s on Upwork or on freelancer.

Com, the chances of them There, on that platform for a one-time, gig is very high right On any of the Other blogs, you could look at having associating on a longer period of time. But it’s not entirely true, because you know what if I I recently did a gig on Upwork where the client said: hey, listen, I’m calling you the next time. I’r Launching this, so you know it depends on your rapport with the client Okay, so I guess, like you know, it was very interesting that you said that you Started with you know, socializing with people and that’s how you found your Clients – but I guess now, with the lockdown pandemic social distancing, that would Be impossible, So the best bet would be Facebook groups and freelancing websites & job sites, like you said, so that’s really helpful.

Thank you and The next question I have for you is, you know: a lot of people say that having a Mentor in a certain industry that you’re entering having a mentor is a Great thing, because they’ll help you, because they have experience in that Field, so do you think that having a mentor is you know, is required for Someone who’s starting out. It’s a tricky question. I can speak for myself. I don’t think it’s important to have a mentor.

I don’t think it’s important to Be confined to one person for all your advice and needs. I think it’s important To have an open mind, get your information and resources and You know advice from different people, irrespective of the kind of expertise or Industry they come from because you never know where you can find value and Pickup some information and work on it. Having said that, I do come across you.

Know I mean I’m sure we all do come across times where we, you know, we Glorify a certain personality or a person, and we are enamored by the kind Of work they do, and you know we go crazy about that. Right and it’s normal to feel that way, and I feel that too, at times with Certain people and the point is I’m aware of it, and I also choose not to be Attached to that – and I think that’s important Literally a few days ago, I was Sitting with a eight-year-old, you know helping the eight-year-old on on Something on the computer on a tool and that eight-year-old taught me a tool.

I Was really searching for on the internet for a long time right and specifically For my system requirements and I said wow thank you, you made my life a lot. Easier right, So I think anyone who can give you some kind of direction. Irrespective of who they are where they’re from they are your mentor, but Don’t restrict to one That is the best thing I have heard today. I think that we can learn Anything and everything from the people we meet from the books, we read whatever and everything and that’s really good advice.

So you know the life of a Freelancer is really glorified on social media. You know how they tell you that You know you can sit by the beach and you know you have Your laptop and you can work, and you have couples traveling the world and making Money as freelancers, so I just want to know what is the reality behind this What is your experience been like as a freelancer About working and sipping Margaritas by the beach Did you do that I have, but then you know it’s One day in your life, you’re, probably one day in your year, I mean it’s not every Day I mean you have to work, you have to be realistic.

You have to be practical, Right Yeah, there have been a few days like that and I can count the number of Days or probably 2 or 3 days in the entire yeah, but but no you know Especially the freelancer life is over-glorified on Instagram. It is I mean there are two sides: there are true and false sides to it. You have your freedom, So you can literally do what you want. Yes, but the whole flashy cars and you Know big pools the spontaneous traveling, I think a lot of it isn’t actually what It is, I do know, a couple of people who lead such lives and are very good at it.

But I also do know that a majority of people, you know, don’t actually lead Lives like that, so if you ask me, Instagram is Instagram because it’s Supposed to look good people put out their best pictures, That’s very true, okay, so now that we know what your opinion is on that, can you tell me what a day in the life of a social media marketer is a day in your life A day in My life yeah, I mean it’s, I mean just like every other job has its Own challenges and is probably hectic in its own way for us, it’s a lot of screen.

Time right I mean it’s a lot of phone times, a lot of communication and all of That, especially if you’re working on a brand where things are being launched, Posts need to be live, ads need to be live, there’s a lot of coordination and Communication right, so I begin my day by you know literally going over my tasks. Lists and things I need to be done. Normally, I have a preset set of calls. That I have scheduled for the day, which I have to Take make and that’s normally set over the weekend.

I make sure I set my calls. Ahead but then, during the rest of the time, it’s making sure things are going. All right finances are in check, clients are happy, marketing strategies are in Place coordinating with the team and every day is this probably something new A new problem to solve so there’s no definite way how the day goes. But yeah, that’s in a nutshell: that’s how it is, But you enjoy this life that you’re leading as a social media marketer I do I enjoy.

There is some method in the madness here Nice. So is there any book or you know, Resource you would recommend for someone who’s, starting out as a social media. Marketer, because I myself am very interested in the topic. And if I want to Learn usually I pick up a book or two to read about it. I am better with reading books, so is there any book or resource you would recommend You know for a person Starting out on social media and digital marketing, books are a great point to go.

For if you want to understand something in principle, the only way the only Reason is because I feel oh, and this is what I genuinely feel Digital is so dynamic, and technology updates itself so fast that if someone Has to write something down: publish a book. Go for printing, get it on the Shelves I mean that’s a lot of time. Things are redundant, they Are not updated anymore right, so I think, on the Digital side, I personally read a lot of blogs.

I read at least a minimum of 5 to 10 blogs. Every day – and I have to I read from marketing land from social media today, From social media marketing world from SEM Rush has a couple of nice blogs. Written Neil Patel writes nice stuff. Of course everyone knows These are Some of the blogs, because blogs are written more spontaneously and updated Then and there so as opposed to books Books have that principle defined.

I am But if you want to something that you want something, that’s updated, I guess Podcasts or blogs are more up-to-date. Is there any podcast that you listen to? You know religiously, I’m a person that gets bored too Quickly, I need to consume information too, and keep moving over there’s One there’s business voice is a nice podcast, but of course it’s more the business Side of things There’s an interesting podcast by Sean Ellis.

The person who Wrote who wrote the book Hacking Growth? Oh by the way you asked about the book. You asked for books right, so here’s a book called hacking growth by Sean Ellis Which is which is nice Sean has also also has a podcast, I’m not sure what It’s called, I think we can figure it out and we can put it here by But it’s it’s! It’s it’s! It’s a podcast by Sean Ellis and that’s really. Interesting for those looking at scaling startups understanding how the process The behind the stage and the behind the scenes of scaling and growing these Businesses, so that’s that’s an interesting one.

I I’m not getting the Name but yeah, I’m sure we can plug this. I will find it and I will link it here in the article, so they can go and hear the podcast Okay. So now, looking at the scenario you have had experience in this field, based on your experience and the current Scenario, what advice would you give someone who would like to start out as a Social media marketer Still a great time. There are enough businesses that are out There needing these services so yeah, it’s a great time to be getting into Social media, marketing or digital marketing any of these verticals – I don’t Think the person should look at you know making a quick buck, because there’s no Shortcut to it, Learning the tools, well, understanding them.

Experimenting, you know that that’s that’s a process. Someone needs to look Into a look into, and not look at one of these, how do you become a millionaire Overnight schemes, that’s not you, so you know, keep growing I mean, I don’t think, there’s anyone who’s an expert in this field. The industry is so dynamic, there’s so much to learn so yeah, I’m just you know. Adding this to it, what advice would you give your younger self? So when you Started out, if you know, based on whatever you have learned so far, is there Anything you would go back and tell your younger self, you know advice, you would Give your younger self basically! So it depends.

This question: are you asking me Before I did engineering after I did engineering Coz its two different answers, Say after you did Engineering After I did engineering. So after I did Engineering I applied with the two companies. Actually I applied with the Minimalist from Bombay I applied with Facebook, Singapore, Both of which I I got To quite a decent part of the interview I think, for Facebook it was the top Something thirty or something like that for the Singapore role and I think for Minimalist was the reason why I made my first trip to to Mumbai in the first Place – and we had an – I had an interview, I think, with Chirag of minimalist at that Time, I think my objective was to to find a job if I was going to be associated With companies with good visions – and you know, were here for the long run, Otherwise, I would want to choose a freelance route or an agency route that Was my objective? So if I had to do anything differently, that’s going to be Hard because I don’t think I couldn’t I would do it, I’m happy with the way we Are progressing Of course, my there are more micro level decisions.

I would have made differently. Probably I would not have signed off for signed off on certain clients. I would Not have taken on certain work because a lot of clients can slow you down. You Know and hamper your growth so that way, I think I would have avoided certain Certain clients, So now for those who are listening and reading right now, if you could give a few steps to start out as a social media marketer that would make it easy for them to transition and to get into the industry.

What would Those steps be The first first step is to learn, learn, study some courses, There enough courses, free courses online – you can put yourself through a paid Course or you could do a free course, but but then it depends on you know if you Have the bandwidth to go through a structured course and if it suits Your budget, that’s that’s a route you can take If you and soon after doing This course, or while you’re doing this course, it’s important to at least get Yourself, two clients or two prospects, or you know your uncle’s father’s friends.

Business and work on it experiment on it, so you can learn while you’re. You know, While you’re working on it, because you don’t want to be Experimenting on a person who has just given you a business and paid you and You know goof it up right If you do it well, that’s a different case, but you Know, that’s you would want to not. You would not want to get into that kind of A situation Once you finish your learning process finish your portfolio.

Building process and then decide if you want to get into a job, freelance or Start your own business, Each of them have a beautiful career path and you Know and they’re each nice in their own way. It depends if you want to work with An agency or if you want to work with a brand, if you want to freelance yourself Or if you want to build a team together and offer the same services to other People or if you have a product in mind and if you understand digital marketing, You can always sell that product using these skills right, but then you know it Again, I’m going I’m just going back to the first point of having to learn while There are so many courses paid courses out there, it’s not necessary to actually Buy a paid course there’s enough resources for free and, having said that, I mean I mean, and this is despite saying that, because we have our own course too- And and and we follow a very structured approach of how A person can learn Facebook and Instagram ads effectively and also we Teach them how and where to get clients, and you know about proposals and all of That right, So it depends what you want at the end of the day and how well you Are determined to be learning, and that would that that would be a decent start.

Saying, that your course that you launched recently in that course you’re. Basically sharing All of these things that you learnt over the years and you’re making it easy for The people who want to learn so that they can apply it very easily Yeah completely Because I didn’t know a lot of things, I didn’t work at an agency. I didn’t work. I Didn’t have a freelancer to guide me. I figured it out myself.

I compared Business models with other business models, with brands with with the Marketers, I I learned from a lot of different marketers, because one thing in Digital marketing people need to understand, is it’s okay, Learning a digital learning, digital marketing from a course from an Institute because they are teaching your basics, they’re teaching your Fundamentals, but when you learn from another marketer and I’m not just Putting myself on a pedestal, yeah, I’m just generally giving you my perspective.

If you learn from a marketer, you get a different point of view because It’s it’s at the end of the day, the job is very similar to like say a doctor. Right, If you and I have the same illness and we go to two different doctors – those Two doc doctors are going to have a different approach and give it and start And give us different prescriptions right and it’s the same thing with Marketing as well, you might have your approach and I might have my approach.

And they can be completely different and it’s okay to be completely different. But At the end of the day, you want to be learning from people who have tried. Tested those you know the and have tried, tested methods and learn from them. So Which is why I mean we are putting, in a few case, studies we’re putting in examples we’re telling people what to do, what not to do and also tell them what they can do.

It is your favorite right, It is my favorite No well, I don’t like To choose favorites So we’re talking about Facebook for your business – Maybe I just have a personal page and I’ve decided – maybe it’s Time to create a business page for my business right, What are kind of the First, steps that I need to really think about Well you’re, already, Off to a great start, You wan na go to a business page And that’s really important.

Because then, you get the ability to track metrics and analytics So absolutely business. Page over personal page And then from there You wan na make sure you set up your profile. Get that profile photo. Usually your logo works great or maybe, if it’s your personal brand use a great headshot of yourself and then take that cover photo to really showcase your Products or your services and then from there make Sure all your information is up to date And that Is really important? Your hours, your website, Your phone number 100 % And make sure that lines up with your Google And your Yelp listings too Right I went into a coffee shop recently I Was in northern California, You drink a lot of coffee, ( laughing ), It’s true And the cashier was looking At me, like I don’t know like, maybe she wanted to rush me and I’m thinking they’re Open for two more hours, what’s the deal, ( laughing ) Sure enough, they were Closing in five minutes I go, but your Facebook says and I wanted to Go into my spiel like this, but I saved it got a quick Coffee to go fortunately, but that’s the whole point.

I left with a customer experience that wasn’t as ideal And then onto probably one of the largest most impactful components: content Right, always preach Quality over quantity Yeah, so you definitely Want to make sure you vary your content, So mix it up. You know you don’t Wan na become predictable; Okay, And you also don’t want to turn into just a business always talking about yourself right. It becomes so salesy.

When it’s always about me, me me So salesy me me me: yeah, Buy this, buy that Yeah sell, sell, sell; Rather you want to Tell tell tell Exactly ( laughing ) Throw something out there. That’s entertaining I mean social media is escapism. Oh yeah, Throw in a good laugh But also educate me, So I always tell my friends: That I follow my dentist on Facebook and they look At me, like I’m crazy, Why right What And it’s because my dentist Shares really educational tips and tricks like how to whiten my teeth without spending hundreds of dollars.

I saw also my yoga studio was just giving a friendly Reminder to stretch how to maintain the zen, which Is really important in life? Absolutely Also, sharing testimonials that you’ve already Received on Yelp and Google and turning it into a Facebook post Right repurpose that content Take that review. Let’s Say it went on about your your ice cream, you’re an ice cream shop, And the review goes on about How you have the best flavors, but the ultimate flavor Is definitely rocky road, Absolutely Yeah, it’s the best Hands down.

So you have that review that the customer went on About your rocky road ice cream and then use Canva or Something and in the background of that review and select A picture of the rocky road on a nice ice cream cone. It really brings it to life. For those of you that don’t know, Canva is a free website that Has all sorts of templates and kits and graphics For literally all things that you could possibly create Like social media templates, Facebook headers all that Good stuff and it’s free – I use it pretty religiously, Also article, So I’m a huge advocate, Of article I love article Just keep it on the shorter Side, attention spans are short Seems like under two minutes: Or so under three minutes Yeah.

Definitely I would even a minute is good and also doing behind the scenes footage. That’s one of my favorite things about following local businesses is like well, I wan na know how This all comes together And showcase your staff And also repurpose anything your customers take User generated content And I think what gets A lot of people hung up on, creating article is, maybe they don’t have a production set like we do right, (, laughing ) And that’s okay.

Our smart phones are Pretty darn good right, Yeah they’re, pretty smart, Take a article with your phone and even it doesn’t have To be the best quality Go behind the scenes. People like that story like to see the other side of things, and it really helps them. Relate to who you are as a business owner You’re, not just some faceless company. So next up we have these groups. Can you tell us a little Bit about what the Facebook groups are and how I can potentially leverage It as a business owner Yeah, so definitely Encourage you to pay attention to other like-minded Businesses, but also groups to piggy back off the Engagement, you already have, I will say, content is Where you wan na spend most of your time, but Groups can be an advantage to getting your business More exposure for sure, So next up we have advertising.

What do we do with the Paid advertising aspect Yeah, so it’s no secret. Facebook has gone on Record to say organic reach is on ( whistling ) the decline Don’t give up on it. Organic content is still Alive and well and breathing, but I think Facebook posts that you boost has a lot of potential and you Can reach a targeted audience, which is one of favorite things about it? You can start off with like five bucks and you can get in front Of a specific demographic age group, zip codes and That way, you know your post is going to reach the right people And with I would kinda Look at the post that maybe have done the best And then boost those and get those that reach out.

That’s a really good point. Thank you for bringing that up. It’s usually ( laughing ) Wait you’re the expert ( laughing ) I dabble So with Facebook. It’s you wan na go ahead and let the post that you’re Doing hang out organically for a little bit, Let it chill see how it Does garner some reach Now once it garners some Reach then boost it, That’s what we found to work best While a lot of people. I Speak to think, there’s no way to track this to ROI.

That’s a total myth. You can actually go ahead and look at it’s called your insights tab and it breaks down everything. You know what your audience is liking engaging with. Are they Clicking on the links, what time of day they’re doing this, and when you look at all of that and really understand it, the insights you can truly be informed about. Where do I go from here right Like? Where do I go from When it comes to which days work best to post, what Time of day works best Does my audience prefer The entertaining posts more than the educational And on which days And from there you can truly Come up with a great strategy, What happens if I’m not Getting maybe the engagement that I want? Are there any like, like Just great pro tips or boosts that I can do to help me.

Just skyrocket and get in front of those people Yes, Contests: Okay, how so So recently, I saw this cafe that had a special music guest coming in and they encouraged their Audience on the Facebook post, which is like promoting the music, Okay, yeah Comment below and tag a friend and then they’re going to do a random drawing, and it’s like two free Tickets to the show That quick little tag, A friend now becomes just free advertisement for you and it’s costing you a couple tickets or maybe a free, drink or free burger.

Exactly Or whatever you do, You could also ask a question: What is your “ go, to” order when You come into our restaurant Or, what’s you favorite thing on the menu and your favorite person to dine with, And so it’s your customers Spreading word of mouth about what’s great to eat So on Twitter and Instagram Hashtags are super relevant, but I don’t always see It as often on Facebook Are they a thing.

Absolutely I mean here’s the thing when it comes to using hashtags Whether it’s on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook, Or if you’re just posting either way you got ta monitor it, because it’s going to be Different for each business, It doesn’t hurt to use Them just be mindful and use relevant, hashtags Perfect and probably only one or two Don’t go overboard. Just a few Yeah, you don’t need to go overboard.

It is man now, if you’re teaching, unethical stuff or if you’re teaching stuff, that is not right at all. You’re charging a lot of money if I dude you’re a freaking crook, but whatever you’re teaching, we all have something to teach man. You don’t have to be the smartest person to teach something like at all like you could put together any simple tutorial: teaching someone how to yarn and sell it for $ 19.

99, like people will buy it 20 bucks for articles teaching people a yawn are not freaking Yarn, I’m talking about yarn, you know the freaking yarn, like you net. Are you not you freaking knit? You know blankets and stuff like that yarn right people could teach anything man, people could teach anything, and I just truly believe that there is opportunity – and I just truly believe I found my niche in the basics in teaching people the basics, like that’s what I do With my social media agency, I teach people the basics and then it grows in gross gross from there right the the value ladder you have to have that value ladder in place man, and so when it comes to Facebook’s Facebook ads.

I totally believe a lot of people gurus whatever you want to call it a lot of people out of people. You know teaching leave out the basics and I’m like dude like this right here. That’s why I shot to my boy Joshua, because this is such a basic basic question and it’s such a powerful question. It’s such an important question. It’s such a question that tons of people have on their mind because they’re just beginning they haven’t, you know, ran a facebook ad.

Although you’ve been reading 15 million articles on how to run a Facebook ad, other people haven’t right, they’re just getting into it. Just like you have shot to Josh looks like a younger. You know younger kid. It’s like dude, he’s, probably just getting started, and I just and that super cool you’re definitely asking the right person man so shout out to Josh. I love teaching the basics. This right here is basic and this is super powerful man trying to run a regular Facebook ad.

I’m a beginner, don’t know anything, you know about landing pages or pixels. So, let’s start, let’s start regular Facebook ad. Let’s start there. First, all right, I’m going to take you guys through it, I’m going to break this down into three to four parts. Okay, this is the page right here you want it. You want a bookmark, and the way you get here is just come to your Facebook page. Let’s go to your Facebook page and all you’re going to do is up here at the top click on create and then you’re going to hit the drop down and you’re going to hit you’re going to click on add if you guys are on Instagram man.

You could be a teacher at the at the local community college and still provide a tremendous amount of value to an individual from what you could. What you could teach right like knowledge, comes in all shapes and forms man, whatever the heck. You want to teach other people want to learn and that’s why, when it comes to building it online and now turning it into an actual business, you just want to make sure that there’s a demand for that.

You want to make sure that okay, yeah people want to learn it, but is there a shitload of people that want to learn it and and in learning it? What does it mean to them to them? What does it mean for them to learn it like a business owner? What does it mean for him and learn Facebook Ads dude? It means the world for a husband and wife going through a divorce. What does it mean to invest in therapy or coaching or counseling? What would that investment be right like? What’s it worth? That’s how you want to kind of break stuff down dude? What’s it worth, you know to invest and and and start learning this stuff right, because I’m telling you man, this is basic stuff.

This is something you guys all need to be all need to be learning, and it’s like Facebook Ads is one thing: if your new FB ads for beginners, let me take you under my wing that link is in the description, but whether you’re learning this for yourself And your and you’re investing in yourself or you’re, investing in yourself to bring value to others, I’m both I’m investing in myself and I constantly keep learning so I can bring value to my clients, and so I can bring value to myself right cuz.

I have products I’m trying to get the clients. I got to get them first right, so it starts with me right. It starts with me. It starts with you right. You got a better yourself, you have to invest in yourself, you have to make it happen. That’s how you’re going to find that client. That’s how you’re going to be able to use your experience and be like hey. It worked for me, I’m going to do the same thing for you right and that’s that’s a lot of that.

A lot of that! You know comes down to how I even present to clients I’m like dude. Look at this page. Does it look a little better than yours? Look at my page. Does it look a little better than yours? I mean just these little basics, you guys, I’m telling you man. This is where it starts so bookmark this page, okay, depending on what industry you’re in this special ad category. This was at. This was added at the end of 2019.

If you’re not complying with this, then your ads will be disapproved, but if you’re in any of these three categories – housing, employment, credit, obviously comply and just check that box. But to answer his question: let’s go back to to my boy Josh, I’m just trying to run regular Facebook ads okay. So what is a regular Facebook ad? Let’s start there man? What is a regular Facebook ad man at the end of the day? I truly believe that, no matter what type of business you have and that’s why I shot to shout out to Debra, I was on a strategy call with her yesterday and I’m like dude.

Every business is the same when it comes to marketing we’re all looking for attention. You either need a lead. You name it. You need to take me somewhere and you need to. You need to get me to click on something. Let me go back, you got it. You got it, you you’re, trying to get me to click on something to opt-in, right, you’re, looking to capture that lead right or you’re. Looking to have me, do that and schedule an appointment right.

This could be. This could be an appointment page where you’re driving traffic to a page, to schedule an appointment same thing, man, how many of us take appointments? All of us do that’s what I’m saying every business is the same chiropractor. They need appointments dentists, they need appointments, yoga gym. They need they need appointments, they need people coming into the class real estate agent.

You need appointments loan originator, you need appointments, you work at the bank, you need appointments, like everything consist of a lead grabbing, a lead or getting that person to schedule an appointment or making a sell, bottom-line. Dude, it’s very black and white. That’s kind of all. There is to it now, if you’re talking brand awareness and and in personal branding and going out there and putting 50 hosts up a day on 50 different platforms.

Okay, you better have a ton of content, because that’s going to take a lot and your your glue to your phone all damn day right, because you’re posting all damn day on 50 different platforms, all damn day who got time for that Jerry be right. It’s like dude, if, if you’re not doing that, then for sure you’re simply you’re simply doing this you’re you’re driving traffic and it’s going to be for one of those things capturing a lead, making a sell or or even capturing a lead, aka scheduling, an appointment.

Okay, anything outside of that dude to run a Facebook ad would be would be some type of brand awareness, you’re they’re, going to you’re, either going to promote your brand organically 50 times a day 50 different platforms or you’re going to run Facebook ads for maybe brand Awareness, reach or or or or or or you can even you can even do an engagement, but at the same time you guys that’s, like you better, have some money like you.

This is for a business. That’s coming into Facebook ads that actually have you know a few bucks to spend, because not many even focus on Brian awareness or reach, or even engagement, because, again nine out of ten of us, no matter what type of business you’re building is looking for, that lead. You’re looking for that cell you’re, looking for that scheduled appointment, so if that’s the case, that’s either traffic conversions or lead generation, so it just comes down to what is a regular Facebook ad Josh.

You know I mean what are you trying to do? That’s the objective! This is where it starts. That’s why this this is what I call it three pillars campaign ad set ad okay, and so this is where it all begins: men bookmark this page. I truly believe that this this part right here, I probably spent an out – I probably spent a year and a half going with the wrong objectives on different campaigns and ads, because most people that I was learning from weren’t, even teaching these basics, it’s like dude.

Here’s the deal Josh most likely you’re trying to do one of those one of those three things. What was it get a lead, get an appointment or make a sell right. Are you trying to do? Are you trying to do one of those three things? If you are here is a regular Facebook ad to me, okay, a regular Facebook ad to me would be either traffic or conversions bottom line. Okay, I’m running traffic to a landing page right, so my facebook pixel, because he also had that question.

So what we’ll address that? But I’m running traffic ads, I’m running traffic like it says right here, send more people to a destination such as a website. Okay! So that’s what I’m trying to do! That’s what I’m telling Facebook? Hey man, here’s 10 bucks a day! Here’s five bucks a day: here’s 20 bucks a day, drive traffic to my page and when you’re driving this traffic to the page make sure your Facebook pixel is embedded and make sure that Facebook pixel is tracking everything.

Okay. Now what what? What? What is there to track on this people who landed here? So what what I want Facebook to do is I want Facebook to create a custom audience of people who viewed the page, and so that’s a that’s a custom audience so make sure you have a custom audience set up in fact, stay to the end of this Article and you’ll see you’ll see a article come up. That’s I’m walking you through how to set up a custom audience and if you’re new to Facebook, man, Facebook Ads make sure you’re on my VIP list right, I’m going to have a ton of training coming in.

Coming out of that, coming out of that list, FB ads for beginners dot-com, that link is pinned at the bottom, but stay to the end. You’re going to see custom audiences because that’s what’s super important – is that yeah, I’m going to run a traffic ad to this page. It’s one page: it’s not a website. Okay, so we’re not running it to a website and that’s another thing that Josh brought up was landing pages.

If you’re looking to capture lead schedule an appointment or make a sell nine out of ten times, it’s going to a landing page, okay, one page one page – and this doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter what business you’re in one page, all right, I’m driving traffic, I’m capturing The data of people who now not named a number there’s privacy law right Facebook’s: it’s not Ali dad Facebook’s not going to give you freaking.

You know it was John Smith. Here’s his phone number heard his address. No, but what they’re doing is Facebook is going to categorize all this data and put all this data into what they call a custom audience, but you have to set it up. So read that article at the end of this one, that’s setting up your Facebook custom audience. That’s number one. Okay, number one is installing the pixel and the number two is making sure that you have a custom audience set up because here’s what’s going to happen as people, let’s go to a let’s go.

Let’s go look at some random ads as people scroll through the newsfeed and they come across a sponsored ad. Okay, here’s what’s going to happen! There’s your learn more button! There’s your image! There, your text, there’s a link to the business page. I click on learn more! Okay, this person could be running Samsung. They could be running for what I’m thinking it could be brand aware, see. That’s what I’m saying if you’re a little guy like me, then you’re not really running brand awareness or reach Samsung being a freakin multi-billion dollar company right Samsung they could easily that ad could easily be a brand awareness or a reach.

Now why would they even spend money on that? Because they have the money bottom line because they have the money that that’s why they would be running a brand awareness or a reach just to get the brand out just to get the name out whether people click? Whether they buy it doesn’t even matter, that’s not what we’re optimizing for we’re telling Facebook came in just get people aware of our name and and and that could be a brand awareness.

But us little guys were not focused on that, because we are more of the direct marketer and the direct response type of marketer, where what I’m doing is I’m putting an offer in someone’s face right now and I want them to click now, like there’s no awareness. There’s no freaking! Let me you know butter. You up, unbutton, you up through other content that you’re seeing me from that you’re following me from right: I’m I’m creating content in these other places, which is creating that whole authority figure for me right.

But as far as my ad, as far as what that person seen and again, that person could be seen my fourth fifth sixth, seventh ad by this time right because I’ve been creating custom, audiences and retargeting them. So there’s a lot that goes into it. Man there’s a lot that goes into a, but let’s just keep it on this one. These guys could be doing a brand awareness or reach, but here’s where they they take me when I kind of they’re, when I click on, learn more and I come to their full-blown website.

It’s not really a landing page, a web site. It has multiple buttons of a website. Has all this going on? That’s a website, so any of you guys reading this, you guys got this. That’s your website right, but your landing page, your landing page to us little guys we’re not driving traffic to a page like this at all. We’re not driving traffic to Adel to a website like this at all, because we got the budget to mess around we’re running paid ads directly to a page like this, where there’s only one button, only one call-to-action and that’s to opt-in.

That’s it not to come to my site and browse like ain’t. Nobody, ain’t got! No, no! I ain’t got money to have you just come to my site and browse like. I need to take you directly to what I’m what I’m trying to try to share with you right, but these guys they’re taking me to a Webster taking me to a website now, here’s the thing at least their Facebook picks on me now, if they’re smart, which I would think they’re smart.

I mean Samsung right if they’re smart, they’re, putting me in a custom audience right, because now they have my IP now Facebook, the pixels tracking me right. So what these guys done is if they’re smart, which I know they are they’re now, I’m now in a custom audience I’m in a custom audience of people who clicked I’m on I’m in a custom audience of people who viewed the page. Now what these guys can do next next week, what they can do tomorrow, what they can do right away what they can do, the following ad is they can retarget that custom audience with traffic or they can now retarget that custom audience with conversions and rather than Taking that person to maybe this website, maybe they take me when I see the next ad look, because I click devices and their Facebook pixel in my every move.

Look at this up here in the top right there, Facebook pixel in my every move. Here’s what’s going to happen next because I’m clicking through – and this is for you – ecommerce people, man, so those of you that have Shopify stores any type of online physical product store this. What you need to be doing you need to be putting that Facebook pixel on every single page, because here’s here’s here’s a power, here’s how how powerful this could be.

Let me let me close this out real quick. They know exactly where I’m going right, I’m coming over here, I’m clicking on this galaxy s20. They know exactly what I’m doing so. What these smart, smart folks would do at Samsung is now I’m in a custom audience. Now I’m going to actually look actually here we go okay. Now now it lit up. Look so they’re pixel is tracking the view if these, if these dudes were smart, what I’m going to see next in my newsfeed is a link where it says buy now.

Instead of learn more, the damn thing is going to say buy now, and it’s going to take me straight here: that’s retargeting at its finest that’s retargeting, and that would be conversions. Okay, so that would be conversions now. Let’s say they ran brand awareness. They ran reach. They ran traffic, let’s say they ran a few weeks or, let’s, let’s say they ran a few hundred under those ones right to get people to click, come to the site browse around and then create a custom audience of all those people who landed on a specific Product and then again, the following ad would be conversions, retargeting all those people now getting them to buy that right.

There is what it’s all about: Josh, that’s what it that’s, what it’s all about man, every single business owner, wants to run a Facebook ad now and get a lead today like sometimes it works out ways. Sometimes it doesn’t like Facebook. What they want you to do is they they meet, what it’s not that they want you they need to. They need to warm up the pixel you’re coming over here and saying: okay, Facebook, here’s my audience: here’s my demographics! Here’s the targeting here’s my message who’s to say: that’s even a good message: it’s you on a cell phone article right like or you’re saying here’s my image and you’re, bringing all this to the table and you’re saying: okay, Facebook! Do your thing or you’re, saying Google or you’re saying TV, commercial or your scene rate or you’re, saying radio, ad or you’re saying freakin newspaper freakin ad, like dude? What are you guys doing for marketing, like whatever you could be doing? It’s like? Okay, in this case online in front of people audience but at the same time who’s to say that that audience, just because you know that demographic who’s to say, they’re, going to they’re going to resonate with you like, and and how are you going to base that Judgement in two hours of turning on an ad like how like like hell, unless, unless you have a crazy, crazy budget and you’re, putting let’s just say a hundred bucks a day, then you’ll get a ton of let’s say twenty bucks a day.

Twenty twenty-five bucks a day and you get a ton of data fast. You can do that, but there’s so many people that Mickey Mouse sit and they’ll start at super small budgets. Three bucks a day, one chick said she was spending one one dollar a day and and I’m like dude like really like and then she’s wondering why she’s not capturing leads, I’m like really like so everyone’s different man, but at the same time we all have the Same well, not at nine out of ten of us, have the same objective man and again as to capture lead, get a scheduled appointment or make a cell and and and to warm warm up the pixel to start gathering data to start letting Facebook gather gather data Of who is landing where that’s what you want to invest a little money up front in doing is is running, is running some traffic ads, not brand awareness or reach, so forget about that.

It’s not going to be brand awareness or reach it’s going to be traffic. You can run traffic and and again, if it’s for any of those three reasons, you’re taking them to a landing page, okay, you’re, not taking them to a website. I guess you can based on what I just told you right: if you’re taking them to a website, make sure your pixel is tracking everything and just create custom audiences around everyone, who’s clicking on anything right on that website, because there’s fifty million pages and it’s a Full-Blown website your pixel has to be tracking everything, and then you just create custom audiences of the most popular product and then in then, and then and then that’s all from traffic and then after you you’ve gathered a decent custom audience you go conversions! Okay, you go conversions, that’s where the money is at you guys, that’s where the money’s at okay, it’s not it’s, not an engagement when, when you run an engagement ad, those are the posts that you see the ads that you see.

Let’s see if we can find one, those are the ads that you see that have a ton of engagement. I mean it has. You know freaking 100 shares look. This is this perfect example: perfect example secure the bag, here’s a sponsored ad, here’s the image right and here, if here are the numbers – absolutely ridiculous numbers that right there is an engagement ad; okay, that’s an engagement ad and again for those of you that have the Money for those of you that want to spend – and you just want you know – to spend more than really you need to up front.

Then engagement go with an engagement and get these get these sexy ass numbers over two thousand likes a hundred and six comments. 457 shares that’s crazy, right, that’s absolute social proof and, and those numbers like that people like to see people like to see those types of numbers and and and and if I had the extra hundred bucks or extra couple hundred to make that happen. And and – and I just had – let’s just say you know whatever to spend per month – I would do that – I would do that.

I’d. Go engagement, run that for a couple weeks, because this right here two thousand likes again. It’s all about your budget. If you’re spending 100 bucks a day three days, there’s 300 boom you’d have those types of numbers, but if you’re spending five bucks a day, dude and you’re, trying to run it for four days come on, I speak to people. Do that spend $ 30.00 on an ad they’re selling a $ 3,000 product, but they’re spending, or they make 3,000 per deal, but they’re spending 300, but but but but but they’re spending 30 bucks but they’re spending 30 bucks and in trying to assess you know data From from a return they’re trying to justify not seen a return on investment, I’m like do you spent 20 bucks like what the hell, those small numbers aren’t going to make.

These big numbers happen you got to spend. You got to spend a couple hundred to make these big numbers happen, but again, there’s there’s benefits in doing that too number one you you have that big number, which is social proof all these shares. I look at this atom like damn dude. These people are really crushing it and then what these people can also do is create custom audiences around everyone, who’s engaging.

So all these people, who actually click to actually comment it, who actually shared they’re, also all in a custom audience that these guys can then turn around and run conversion ads for why conversion ads, because damn well, they got something to sell or they’re looking to schedule. An appointment or they’re looking to capture a lead bottom line. Okay, so you could go engagement. If you had the extra you know dollars.

If not go straight. Traffic man go straight. Traffic go straight conversions, test test, one one go traffic and then run conversions at the same time. Go ten bucks a day traffic, ten bucks a day, conversions run that for a few days and then assess it from there. If anything, traffic for the for the first couple weeks would probably be good because that’s driving traffic to the landing page. That’s that again, Facebook needs to know, as I was trying to mention earlier, just because you have all this stuff and you’re bringing it to the table.

Facebook still has to find your audience. They still have to find the people who actually like you right. So it’s like how how does Facebook even know who likes you yet right, you’re, putting out selfie article, which is the best, and you have your own audience out there. Let give Facebook a few days to freaking find it. You know what I mean so a lot of times. Even Facebook will tell you to start with traffic start with traffic, just so you can get the pixel warmed up and just so facebook can start seeing.

Okay, these are the type of people that are viewing it. Facebook system dude operates like a it’s a machine. As you know, it’s a freaking robot, it’s AI, it’s a freaking machine. They operate. It operates fast man, it operates fast and once Facebook, after, if once facebook, once that pixel starts picking up a certain type of person that is, is landing here. Facebook ends up finding you millions of millions more of them, and so that happens that happens in the beginning, with traffic driving traffic and then once you have that audience, then, and once that pixel has been used a few times its conversions, okay.

But here’s the thing with conversions with conversions: you you have to have your custom audiences set up and you also have to have a custom conversion set up. If you’re looking to capture lead schedule, an appointment or make a cell, that is conversions. Okay, that is, conversions, drive valuable actions on your website. That’s a valuable action, an opt-in right. So that’s that’s conversions, but to do that, you need to set up a custom conversion and that custom conversion is set up around the Thank You page. So, for example, whether I’m opting into something okay, whether I’m opting into something or whether I’m buying something I’m coming over here, I’m hitting this blue button to opt in, I could be coming here and buying the Samsung, adding to cart entering my check.

My entering my credit card number and then hitting buy, and then I go to a confirmation page when you’re running conversion adds everything everything is about that confirmation, page, okay. So here’s what you have to do this, what you have to do? Okay, so again, whether you’re, opting in or buying something or whether they’re doing that on your on your page right, here’s, here’s what it’s all about this person option and they’re and they’re brought to a thank you page.

This is my confirmation page right, so I created all this. I did all this through through through frickin, through cartridge, a simple thank-you page man, it’s great to connect with you check your emails and stay in touch. I have a ton of valuable. I have a ton of value coming your way and three basic steps, and then this right here is a link to Carter. Okay. So what you got to do, man is for sure for sure back over here revisit your objective. What is your objective? Is it one of those three or is it not one of those three, and rather than going brand awareness or reach, I would put out a article and just go article views, because, with article views, you can create custom audiences around people who viewed a certain percentage Of it, people who readed three percent of it, people who readed the first 20 seconds of it, people who readed 50 percent of your article.

You can start creating custom audiences around all these people who viewed your article and that’s powerful. You create custom audiences and then you retarget them. You run multiple ads in the future and you retarget those viewers with conversions, okay, so that’s kind of what you want to do, man is is is, is have have a landing page software for sure, and if you don’t have a landing pages offer, if you have A Shopify store or something like that.

Okay. Well, then start it’s! It comes down to the content. Obviously, what type of what type of content do you plan on putting out? Are you putting out images with images? What I would do, if I are you man, anyone putting out images? I would brand yourself with the image like, even though even though it could I mean it’s, that’s why ecommerce is a little different man, because you’re dealing with physical products – and sometimes I mean it’s just a physical product right like a mug, I guess it’s just a Mug like how can I brand that right like, but but at the same time so just depends on what you’re selling also men, because that’s going to your content, what you put out and how you’re able to put it out is going to make the difference.

That’s that’s what that’s the top of the funnel your content is the top of the funnel. So my content over here, my top of the funnel over here, is YouTube. What am I doing? Long-Form tutorial articles teaching you some right, teaching you and trying to stay on topic of social media, marketing, Facebook, advertising and and making money online right, and so that’s my content, and so I’m putting it here.

So it just comes out of your content. Man, your content and what you’re trying to sell and what you’re trying to sell is going to really come down and what a regular Facebook ad is to you. I would do article for sure, like I would do article man if your if your personal branding yourself in any kind of way its article, it’s article views and so article Facebook ad. This word would go okay, article, Facebook ad any other, and in also that same article I would also Park it over here on YouTube and, if you’re doing article on your cell phone for Facebook and for YouTube always hold the phone, horizontal, alright always hold the phone Horizontal not vertical this for Instagram but hold the phone horizontal for YouTube and for Facebook article, but that’s a great way to that, could be your regular ad right there, man that could be your regular ad, is article views and you’re literally creating custom audiences around every Single article and around different viewers of those articles and then just retargeting with conversions, conversions, conversions, conversions, okay, so lead generation is, if you don’t have a landing page.

So if you don’t have a landing page, you can use lead generation. Facebook provides a forum, and you can capture leads that way. Only reason why I don’t do it. That way is because then I have to export that lead off of Facebook, and then I have to import it into my into my email autoresponder, which I don’t want to do, or you can connect it to a third party email out, responder, which I don’t want To do everything I do is all in one it’s in Carter, so I just stick with I just stick with with traffic conversions and article views.

Man, that’s what I do. I don’t do I don’t do I don’t do I don’t do anything else? But again you know based on your business, what are you trying to do? You know? What are you selling and what are you trying to get them to do? Learn more is always the best, and so, when you put that learn more button, this is where the link is going to go you you can actually put it right here as well.

How to use facebook ads business manager (power editor & ads manager) with examples 2017

If you don’t now, just go to your Facebook, personal account and click on that sit in button, and you click on manage the ad, and it will direct you to this page right here.

So, first of all, if you want to switch between the ad manager and the power editor, you click on this three lines right here and you can switch between them now. The difference between the ad manager in the power editor is not a really a big deal. Unless, if you are interested in the data, the data analysis and well, I paused the article – and I forgot where I left off, so I’m just going to recap for quick.

As I said before, guys you can switch between the accounts from here and then Facebook. I believe that gives you the ability to have two different accounts. Two different business manager accounts that you can switch between from here or from here. You can switch between them. Now I have two different totally different niches and two different websites, and I don’t want to mix up between the between the pixels.

Now, if you, if you have like one one account you can, you can manage you, can you can advertise any any Facebook page, any Instagram accounts, and, and this in this account I have two competing running one. They are basically the same. Are the same lead generation ad, but the only one difference is that I’m split testing between Facebook and Instagram and see which one is the best: that’s why they have this one for Instagram, lead generation in this one for Facebook and that’s it for the power editor Different accounts now how to really use all this commands right here.

First of all, if you want to change or edit anything, you go and select the campaign that you are willing to work on, and you want to select it from here. Just check that and then you can quick edit from here if you want to turn it off, just like that, you click here and you will turn it off. You want to change the name or find find in droid please now, if you want to change anything inside the inside of the ad, like the description or the photo or the interest or anything like that, you have first to go to the abscess.

I mean you can’t change anything right here if you click a unit first to select that and you go here, you have two ways: either you click on this pin right here to edit or click here or click here, three weeks. So now I’m going to click on this one as I used to do and if this one will open up – and this is just the performance review of what the ad is doing right now. The difference between auction or limited limited amounts in the auction automatically Facebook calculates the amounts, but if you want to put a certain specific amounts per lead – and this is something that I want – I don’t want to miss round with because I tried it before and it Didn’t work for me so basically you’re going to sit. For example, one dollar per lead and facebook is going to optimize that and bring you people per one dollar, but I prefer to pay to make it automatic and now that’s it for the power editor.

If I go to the ad manager, it’s just the same thing, but less data, the data that is here it’s list and it’s loading right now, just waiting for it and that’s it so guys the difference. How many people were rich in the amount spent, but and during the day time here you you, you will see the countries if you are using multiple countries or the country’s.

😱Facebook Ads Demographic Targeting Going Away! #1 Facebook Ads Targeting Technique You MUST Use…

Just some housekeeping, I just want to kind of get this out of the way, as you guys can see here on my screen. I am wrapping up. I’m working on a Facebook Ads live train for you guys I’m going to be doing next Wednesday, So Wednesday July 18th, at 12 p.M. Eastern time, 9 a.M. Pacific time So mark that down on you guys, calendars also I’ll, add a link down below in the description As well as in the comments that you guys can go through and register for that, because I share a lot of my blog different Facebook ad strategies, but I think it’ll be beneficial To break down some of the things that I do like the exact strides.

I use and also be able to do it live, So you guys can ask me questions and I can kind of give you feedback and answers and let you guys kind of know what I’m Doing on the daily basis. So if you guys want to attend that, There’s a link down below to register for that training in the description as well as in the comments and if you guys are reading This after July 18th, which I’m sure a lot of you guys are because that’s in About a week and a half I’ll add the link to the replay to that training, So you guys can go through read that and still take advantage of every now, let’s dive into this guys.

So this is the this image right here, where I’ve got this pulled up this little segment. That is part of that live training, and You look at like the red ocean versus the blue ocean, And this is really like what I want to break down. Explain you guys when it comes to Facebook Ads Targeting so when you’re going through and you’re targeting with Facebook’s interests, so you’re targeting homeowners Are you’re targeting real estate agents or you’re targeting like weight loss or people interested in fitness? That’s a red ocean guys Like there are so many people that go in like Facebook’s made it super easy to go through, Create an ads campaign, and then you know you go and choose your targeting.

You choose the age group. You choose all that stuff, But with it being so easy you’re literally in a red ocean Just competing with everyone, It’s out there, Okay, so the strides I want to show you guys in today’s article is Taking over to the blue ocean right like this. Is I don’t even ever use Facebook ads interest targeting or any of those little demographics? Anything like that in my ads and when I tell people that even like advanced Facebook, marketers are like what like? What do you even do Like? How is that possible? You don’t use interest targeting Okay Now there there’s something: that’s called Look-alike audiences and if you guys have heard of look like audiences, this is going to be a very different article.

It’s going to be a lot more unique than you probably have even heard or thought before. So just keep that in mind, But this is going to take you from that red ocean of competing with literally every other person out there. That’s advertising on Facebook To this blue ocean now also guys is a special favor to you guys. I was talking with my brother. He readed my blog too, and he kind of like started.

Business He’s got his Facebook guys in the last stuff, And he says sometimes I go way too fast to explain things So I’ll try to go a little bit slower I’ll, try to go through break down everything step by step and photos. You guys are like hey. You like that fast pace just put on like one and a half speed All right. So, let’s jump over to the Facebook Ads manager, because this is really key when we’re going through and setting up our Facebook ads and actually first really quick.

This is another slide I forgot about in the presentation. This is the exact strategy of how I went through, and this is two years ago So June of 2016. I made less than $ 1500 that month for my business and then you can see I start implementing the strategy in August. So, two months later, Okay, So August, I did if you can see the right there, It’s probably a little small, It’s a little over $ 8,000 Okay, so that was the first month.

So I went from 1500. So in essence, I almost call that zero, because I was obviously with ad spend all that stuff You’re, not really making any money. And then I went up to $ 8,000 and then, from August of 2016 to October of 2016 October 2016. I went and did over $ 25,000 in revenue for the month. Okay, So guys. This is a way that you can go through and grow your business extremely fast and once again, If you guys want to jump on this live training or if you’re reading the the kind of like this later after July 18th click down below I’ll have the registration Link to go regi for that live training or for the replay, whatever you want to go through and read, so You guys can see Some of these strategies broken down in a lot more detail, then I’m even ever covered on my youtube blog Okay.

So, let’s just jump over here to Facebook, Okay, now in Facebook, what we’re going to do is come over here to the ads manager. Okay, Now a look like audience: Let’s just break this down right, Let’s jump! Actually, I’ve cut it another good slide, So Facebook, anyone that is your existing customer. So I’ve got like Jim right here, Jim from the office right, So Jim he’s going to go through and buy something from your business Right or maybe you haven’t your like brand new business, And so you haven’t sold anything but he’s a lead or some of the Shown interest in your business, Okay, now, Facebook, the cool thing is, is they literally know so much information about Jim Okay? So they know that, like he’s a male the age like if he’s married or not, if he’s college educated, I know how much money he’s making.

He knows they know pretty much for the most part, What products he’s bought online, because a lot of companies they’ll use the Facebook pixel okay to track whether people have become leads if they purchased something and so based on what ads people are clicking on and Based On what products they’re purchasing Facebook’s got a pretty good overall idea of what’s happening Kay, They know like okay, he likes basketball, He reades the office right, So they know all this information, and so now what we do is we take Jim, okay or our existing customers Or clients or leads, or Even people that, like maybe you don’t, have customers yet cuz, you’re brand new or maybe don’t have lee Juck’s you’re brand new, but people, maybe that, like your Facebook, page or people, even that have gone through and readed a article that you’ve Posted on your Facebook page kay, that’s like an audience of people and then what Facebook does is what we call a 1 % look-alike audience.

So they’re going to go, find 2 million people, or sometimes even more, that looked just like Jim Okay, so but whether they’re male like it’s not going to necessarily be only males or only females or whatever. Although you can go through and target whether it’s males or females but they’re going to find out, Okay, what’s his average, You know salary which it’s crazy, But they actually have a lot of data on how much money you most likely make okay And they know like What the products you purchase, what you like, what your behaviors are online.

What links you click on what you don’t Click on. They know all this information, So Facebook they go and they create this look like audience of people that are very, very Similar to Jim. Okay. So then, what they’re going to do? Is you go take this ad? You show it to this look-alike audience. Okay And then your ads become even more Profitable because you’re able to go through and scale things that much more so if before you were going through and showing your ads just to your existing clients or your existing leads or existing database and you’re spending, maybe like.

Let’s say five dollars a day With this, because you have now an audience of two million plus people you’re able to go through and scale it up to $ 75, a day or $ 100 a day or two hundred five hundred or even a thousand dollars per Day and So you’re able to go through and make a lot more money. Okay, so hopefully that kind of like break broke that down and that kind of like makes some sense. But let’s jump in Back over here to the Facebook Ads manager and show you guys exactly How this actually happens case.

So we’re going to do is come over here to the search bar And we’re going to type in audiences. You can see it’s already popped up right there, But if it’s not showing up right here, we’re just going to type in audiences, Okay, cuz. First, what we need to do before we create a look-alike audience is we need a create, an audience Right that we’re going to say, Hey. We want to create a look like audience that looks like these people.

So Before we go through create the look like audience. We need to go through and say: hey, Jim is our ideal. Customer ideal lead our ideal client and we want you to create two million people: 3 million 4 million. Whatever The number is a people just like Jim okay, So basically you’re going to go through. You were just going to create an audience, will just say: custom audience right here: Okay and then you can go through and like customer file, You can upload their emails or their phone numbers.

You can say website traffic. So if you’ve got a blog, if you’ve got a website, a landing page, whatever You’ve got you can go through and throw the Facebook pixel on This exact website and I’ll link out to my tutorial on how to get that Facebook pixel installed Because it walks you through step by step and then you’ve got even engagement. Like let’s say you don’t have any clients, any customers whatsoever, No leads or anything and you’re just starting out brand new, you say Hey.

I want to just target people who have readed a article that I posted on my Facebook page. So let’s just say that, for example, it’s just say a article And then we could come in here and we say we want to target anyone who is viewed at least read 25 % of my article okay, because sometimes like three seconds of your article. It’s someone just scrolling through in the article autoplays and so they’re, not really reading it 10 seconds, Depending on how long your article is.

That can actually be a really good option if it’s only a minute long, they read 10 seconds Of the 60 seconds. That’s a pretty good percentage of the article, but I typically like to do 25 or even 50 % To get a bigger audience That then we can go through and create a look like audience after ok He’s like, if you think about it. If we just give Facebook one data point, so basically we say hey only Jim.

I want you to create. It looked like audience of people that only look like Jim There’s, not really a lot of information to go off of right, like it’s just that one person, whereas if you have 30 people Okay, They find these averages of what those people like their ages, their Income, Their interests all that stuff and they’re able to get you a lot better data, and then, if you have a hundred people or a thousand or the more people That easier, it is to go through and get this data put together and have this Hotter audience that You’re able to go through and mark it with your Facebook Ads.

So with that said, I like to do kind of like a 25 percent or 50 percent, So I’ll just do 25 percent here And then we choose the the article right here actually up here. Sorry guys choose the article So we’re on to choose the Facebook page So we’ll come down here. All I think you’ve got my main Facebook page on here. So we’ll choose this and then you kind of look at the articles right. So you can see the three second article views So like if we’ve gotten these different people, we’ve got.

You know. Eight thousand people have readed this article, so this is probably one that I probably want to go through and create a custom audience often because there’s going to be a lot of data points like if there’s 8,000 8200 article views, there are three seconds We’re probably going To have you know four or five thousand people that have readed 25 % of this article? Okay, so we’re just going to go like this.

We’re going to choose that we’re going to hit, confirm, Okay and then we’re just going to give it a name. We’ll say 25 % article view and then I would usually do the name of Video, like whatever you want to call it. That’s kind of like what I like to do And then the nice thing is, you can do like hey everyone. Let’s read it in the last 365 days or if you want it like more recent, like hotter market, you could say hey in the last seven days last 30 days last two days, even so, if this one I’m just going to actually Do last 30 days, because If somebody’s read this article in the last 30 days, they probably at least remember it somewhat right, probably seven days or even 24 hours, 48 hours is even more ideal, but they probably at least remember Like at least readed it, whereas like if it’s too long ago, If it was like 200 days ago, six months or whatever They’re, probably not even going to remember you the article or anything else, I’m going to create this audience and Now what we do is Facebook is going to go and they’re going to populate this, and it’s Going to take a second or whatever, but we could say, hey, create an ad using this audience or Expand your audience.

Okay, so we’re going to click on, expand your audience, And this is how we can create a look-alike audience right here. So the source is the audience of everyone. That’s viewed the article At least 25 %. Can I think that is actually a short article is like 30 seconds long, so Really didn’t have to read a lot. Just probably like 10 seconds 10 seconds Actually probably would have been a better audience to go with, and then we could say hey.

I only want to target people in the United States and typically, what I like to do when I’m starting out is just do a 1 % look like audience. Okay, Now you can scale up to 2 %. You can see that number went to 4.3 million. The 3 % to 4 %, but the the larger the audience, the less accurate the data, and Typically with a 1 % look like audience of you, know: 2.2 million people. You can have your ads running for a fairly long time to that audience, even spending like $ 100 a day and And you’re still totally good, like that’s a pretty good size, audience.

Okay! So now we’re just going to go through and click create audience right here And so it’s going to go through populate the audience You can see up here kind of in the background It says fewer than so. This is the audience We just create the custom audience. So 25 percent of article view There’s a fewer than a thousand, but it’s still populating Okay. So it’s going to take a little bit of time. It could take a couple hours.

It can take as long as 24 hours to go through and populate this audience and then, but you don’t have to wait To go through and create a look-alike audience. Okay, So that’s one thing to really keep in mind. Then you can see this audience right. Here is updating, They look like audience, but it told us is going to be about 2.2 million people once it’s finalized and once that audience is completely updated.

So We really don’t have to wait to go through and create our Facebook ad campaign. We can jump in and start creating an actual campaign, So I want to show you guys exactly how I do this, how I don’t use any Facebook Ads interest targeting or any of that And I’ll actually set up a campaign right here with you guys. So we’ve got this custom audience right here. Okay, that we created we’ve got to look like audience and, if you don’t, if you’ve already got an audience that you want to create a look like audience off of, you can just come here and Click on this.

So check that you just hit actions and you say, create a look like okay, so that’s another way to go through and do that if you’re like well, I’ve already got an audience and I don’t really know how to do that, because it’s not taking me to Do the same flow? That’s another way you can go through and do that? Okay. So now what we’re going to do is we’re going to come back up here to this little hamburger menu? Okay, we’re going to go back to the ads manager to go through and create a Facebook Ads campaign.

Okay, so we’re just going to click on this green button. Right here create a campaign, makes it super simple And then for this one. I’ve got all these articles guys on like which objective to use, but this is not necessarily on that’s Training, so I’m not really going to dive in all that I’ll add another article to Kind of like what marketing objective you really want to choose. But let’s say for this: one We want to generate leads, So we’re going to go with conversions here.

Okay, so we’ll just click on conversions and then we give it a name. Okay, so we’ll say, conversions and we’ll say it’s a demo campaign, because it is obviously and now we’ll hit continue, and Then you can name your ad set for this one, I’m not really going to worry about it and then through the website. Okay, look like! Ideally, you need to go through and install your Facebook pixel, like I said I added a article to that up in like the little the top corner, so you guys can go through and check that out, But we’ll go through and we’ll choose The lead conversion right.

There takes we want to go through and generate leads, then we come down here to this Targeting, and this is typically where most people will go in here and they’ll type in homeowners, right, Where it’s like 98 million people that are homeowners and and the homeowners association. So a lot of these interests and demographics and all this stuff is what Facebook is taking away and that’s why so many people are completely freaking out because they’re like well, It’s not going to work for a real estate anymore.

It’s not going to work for this anymore, or that anymore, like It still is guys, can actually work way better. Once you kind of learn and nail down this solution that I’m showing you guys right here because, Like I showed you guys a little bit earlier, You’re not competing with everyone in that red ocean, Okay! So now all we got to do. Is we come here to the custom audiences because remember we create that custom audience? Then we created that look-alike audience from the custom audience right.

So we had. You know all those people like what we call Jim right and then create that look like audience, some people that look like Jim or very similar to him, and we feel like right here and then you can see right here. The look-alike 1 % us ok, 25 % article view and then name it article. Okay, you can see the size, It says fewer than a thousand people, That’s just because it’s still pre-populating.

So you don’t need to worry about that. So we click on that. And then it’s going to say, potential reach unavailable this, that’s just because we just created it. So Don’t worry, Don’t freak out like I do this all the time guys and it You know, pre populate and once it’s populated, it’ll update and Facebook will just automatically everything together. Okay, So now we come down here and honestly, I don’t really even touch the age or even the gender, Because Facebook’s already identified these people that look like this ideal custom audience.

Okay, so Another way to look at this guys – Let’s say we’re not doing article views but, let’s say like you’re a real estate agent, because I know I’ve got a lot of real estate agents that read this blog as well. What you would want to do is go and have past clients or pass leads of people that you’ve worked with and Get as big of a audience as possible, Whether that’s a hundred people, a thousand people, five thousand people – maybe you go and collectively get leads of Past clients of People, everyone in your office or your real estate team or whatever just to get this ideal Demographic and then upload it just like we showed you guys with the custom audience and then create a look like audience off of those People.

Okay. So that’s really like an ideal way to go through And set this up, especially like. Let’s say you Kind of like hit the high end homes market right up, people that buy in one or two or three million dollar homes. That’s a really good way to go through And give facebook this audience and this data of people they can create a look like audience off of that You’re going to have similar incomes, similar behavior, similar, like interests of buying those expensive homes.

Okay, so that’s just like one thing: I wanted to kind of share there So languages. I don’t touch anything detailed targeting guys. I really don’t even touch any of this Okay and then this is one where I always unchecked. I just have seen it works better and, like I’m tested a lot, So I would just highly recommend that and then coming down here as far as placements go You guys know if you guys been reading this blog, I like to come down to edit placements and I’d like to just target the Facebook news feeds and Then even if you’re, really what wanted to branch out and target more people, you can even do the Instagram news feeds Okay.

Now, once you go through, and it’s all about testing right like once, you find that okay, The Facebook news feeds are working, The Instagram news feeds are working, You can go through and test out other placements, Like don’t don’t think like this is the only way to Do it, I have some campaigns where I go through and I’ll test out all the different placements, But I like to first start with a smaller amount, So I usually start like with fifty dollars a day.

The test out is, is this even a winning ad or people are going to react and engage with this within this audience. So I’ll start at the Facebook news feeds, because I know that works the best and then from there once. I know it works Then I’ll expand it to you know maybe 100 200 dollars a day and I’ll hit more of these placements. Okay, so now coming down, We hit this the budget and schedule. Obviously this depends on your guys budget.

Literally, you can go through and start with as much as $ 100 a day, Just fine with the two million audience person audience Lots. You guys might not have that budget right away And if you don’t know, if your ads really going to convert or not, I probably want to start there. I’d probably start at depending on your budget. I’d probably start like twenty twenty-five dollars or even ten dollars. If you’ve got a smaller budget right and Ten dollars a day with the two million person audience guys, You can let that run pretty much all year round and you’re not going to see that ad really fatigue, because it’s a pretty big audience For such a small Daily budget for your ad spend Okay, So coming down, We just do conversions and then that’s it guys.

We just hit continue. We set up the ad hit, confirm, confirm, purchase and we are done. I think it’s going to have me name the, maybe name the thing or something like that. Much Weiss, not going me hit continue. Oh my it’s just my internet there. So so anyway, we go create the ad and, Let’s just say we’re going to use an existing post just so we can go through this whole process for you guys. So let’s say this post right here that I did and Then I just hit confirm now.

It’s saying, like my my ad is not going to run because I’ve got way too much text Which I typically wouldn’t run this exact post as an ad or anything like that. So the objective of campaign requires creative with external link or call to action Yeah. So I got out of like a link and all that stuff. But anyway you guys kind of get the idea of what’s going on if going through and creating that your own BlueMotion.

Okay, because you are the only person that has that custom data of your past clients, your past leads people have interacted with your facebook page they’ve shown interest in you, Okay, so now, instead of competing with that red ocean of everyone of that Interest, targeting their Facebook’s Doing away with a lot of it Anyway, this is the best strategy to go through and use for your business Right.
