Introduction to online insurance marketing | life insurance training | ILIAA

I’r doing this presentation on the behalf of the independent life insurance agents Association. This webinar is the introduction to online marketing with this websites or what this website. What this webinar is going to cover is the way to get a start in online marketing, how to use WordPress effectively how to actually determine what to blog about so that when you do your blogging, you actually will see results and how to use other forms of Online media most your online marketing – is done by one of these things.

Either build a website. You go to some place. Facebook, Twitter, any other, LinkedIn Google+ YouTube. Those are social media sites, that’s kind of a second leg. Article sites YouTube began, and you got several other places that you can actually go like Vimeo, dailymotion, there’s, probably another 50 or 60 places you can go and post a article online to get backlinks or otherwise, or talk to people press releases.

You can do out of any of the content you use for blogging. You can put those in the hope is that they will get picked up and syndicated somehow on to a new site forums, places online, that you can go and talk to people obviously, but you can also use them in a limited fashion for marketing. It’s not not a good idea to run up in the forum and be the guy. That’s the obnoxious self promoter, but forums do have a value and their promotional ability.

Also, email email is something that you can use either via autoresponders through renting lists and doing bulk mailings or any other number of things that you can do with it. Email has a profound M hacked its it’s technically to me. I see it as the same thing as sending the letter. Now people do email to get the same response that would get by sending someone a well-crafted letter, although one of the big dangers of online marketing is that people do email badly.

So don’t do that, but email is a great thing to do so so where would you start? Let’s say that you have just you just started in business or you’ve been in business for five years, but you have never had a website. You have no content. You have no backlinks, you’ve not started anything. Maybe you have a Facebook account that you use for personal things and you’ve you’ve never done any sort of website at all.

They even track and see what kind of movements you were getting out of your keywords so where? Where would you start look? What’s that? What’s the first step and the answer? That’s actually pretty simple. First, step is going to be doing keyword, research now. The reason why that should be your first step is because you don’t want to rank unnecessarily for things that no one is searching for, because that completely defeats the purpose.

Furthermore, if you go out there and you create content to rank yourself either on purpose or inadvertently for terms that you will not make any money with, it could actually be counterproductive to your efforts, meaning you might go up for a term that no one searches for And down for the search term, that would have made you money, but all content creation should begin. If it’s done correctly, it should begin with keyword, research and that’s marketing.

Content like if you’re doing content, to be helpful to your customers. That’s a completely different thing, but when you’re trying to do marketing content, it really needs to be keyword. Optimized, honestly, your keyword research will probably take up 50 % of the time that you spend in writing a marketing article. If it’s done correctly, half your time is going to be in keyword, research, the other half of your time is going to be spent in actually writing the article.

So how do you do that? The first step would be to look at a keyword or google keyword suggest you can get there by going to google type in google keyword suggests, and it will show you how to open an AdWords account. If you don’t already have one or it will take you straight there, you can type the word in and search. There are other software’s, as you can use that primarily still are using. Google Keyword suggest, however, they are going to Google Keyword suggest and then they are using metrics that they have established or that you have established inside the program to help you sort and filter.

My favorite personally is market samurai on it. My second favorite thing to use is scrape box. However, scrape box is not a good example of a introductory software for somebody to go out with it’s just something you can use. One of the things I honestly like to do with scrape boxes go find a whole bunch of keywords, load them into market Samurai and analyze the keywords because it might find things that I wouldn’t have thought of.

Another thing you do is outsource. It awesome resource for outsourcing is Fiverr calm, its fve are are calm. You can go there and get people to do keyword, research for you for five dollars or you can go and pay someone 250 dollars to your keyword, research for you and waste. Two hundred and fifty dollars you could have gone to five or spent fifteen bucks, got keyword, research for three places compared what those three people said and you’ve actually gotten a by committee.

Keyword, research done that you can compare to each other and determine what the what the most effective keywords. Three people told you where for 15 bucks, rather than spending a fortune on it. Another thing you can also do one of the important things you actually do want to establish some sort of metrics to determine whether or not the keywords that you’re focusing on are actually valuable, a good way to look at.

That is, if you have a program like market samurai, no traffic, travis or some other method for tracking down how many websites target up a specific term in specific places, program eclis. Then you can take that information. Compare that with the number of or with the amount of competition overall, how many people target your specific keyword and what the page rank of those sites are, and you can determine the difficulty of ranking.

One of the best things to do, though, is to try to establish some sort of a metric for how difficult of something you were willing to invest the time in trying to rank, for there are search terms that are fairly unassailable. If you told me that you wanted to make a website to target diet pills, I would laugh at you if you’ve never done it before and didn’t know what you were doing. It’s likely never going to happen.

You could likely spend your entire life trying to do that and never pull it off, because there’s so many affiliate marketers trying for that term. However, if you’re trying to target San Antonio auto insurance, alright got a heck of a lot better chance, so that’s you got to establish some sort of metric, find a keyword that people do search for and then figure out what your competition levels going to be.

So you can see if you can rank for it. Why is this all important keywords? Are the importance of them’s established in two ways the? Why number one is people go to Google being Yahoo and they search for a term that gives you the search volume. Google Bing and Yahoo are all interested in providing user experience. The best way to provide a user experience for someone is that when they search you want it to be so that they’ve searched they find a page and the first page they find was the very best website in the entire world for what they search for.

It’s relevant, it has exactly what they wanted. They can go on that site and that site tells them exactly what they wanted to know. That’s exactly what the search engines want to do. They don’t always succeed, but that’s what they that’s what they would prefer. However, those search results are done by machines and you can only turn the machine to do so. Well, so you can think of it from the perspective if they know what people are looking for, but they don’t necessarily have a good way to determine what a site is about, because the machines cannot.

You can’t train a machine to read like a human or determine how good something is you could have humans go, do it, but it would cost a fortune now. Google is actually trying to do some of that to actually simulate it by having people use their own search engine. The every time that you use Chrome, it is sending information back to Google. If you opt it into their program, which I don’t know, if they’re doing it to people that just opt in or not, there’s no way to prove it.

They may be doing it to both if you opt it in they’re, using what your actions were when you were using their web browser to determine the search and reserved search engine results for other human beings by tracking it and using it as a metric and the Same thing is being done by Internet Explorer. It wouldn’t surprise me if the same thing was being done with Firefox and every other browser, for there is nothing.

Nothing like that ever surprised me, but as for right now, machines are reading it. So you’ve got to make sure that the words that people are searching for are on your web page, because when the machine is looking for the results, only thing I can look for is them words can’t find those words your web page is not about them. So this is an example of what you would get with Google Keyword suggest. Now I did a search for Tennessee Medicare.

You can see the Tennessee Medicare has thirty six hundred searches a month which, in my view, makes it a keyword that is worth targeting. The metrics that I prefer using is that something has search volume to provide in position one up to 25 clicks a day. That’s what I look for I’ve targeted things that I’m even only anticipating one or two clicks a day. I’ve targeted things before where I thought I might get three clicks a month to some degree.

You do have to base this off of anticipated commission levels when you’re talking about insurance or with any product. It’s how much you anticipate that you’re actually going to make when you do that. So if you’ve got a term, that’s for something like dental insurance, we’re going to make almost nothing. You would not necessarily want to target something where the search volume is this low or vice-versa, that’s an easy way.

The second thing you want to look for: you want to target buying terms. Cigna government services, highly vulnerable, gets almost enough searches to get 50 or so clicks a day. If you got lucky there, you can divide that by 30 and you can see how many searches a day top position normally gets 30 % of the clicks. So that’s the easy way to figure it out. You take that formula. 5,400 divide 5,400 by 30.

You end up with somewhere around 200 searches a day multiply times 30 % roughly 60 a little bit under 60 clicks. You could anticipate in position one, but this person searching for Cigna government service is going to buy anything. The answer to that question is probably not probably not in that one either, which is again is the signal government services. For some reason, Google is showing that one twice it’s, because this one’s a misspelling, then you’ve got Medicare region B region.

A Medicare pay increase your health plan that one actually might be worth targeting, but there’s no way to know for sure without seeing what already ranks for it tin care, terrible term. It’s that term is specifically about Medicaid and people, and this isn’t I mean not to sound like a bad person for saying it, but the people that are primarily searching for ting care are looking to sign up for the government program 410 care and are very unlikely To be purchasing private insurance, which is why 33 thousand searches, but almost no competition, even the PPC ads higher than I would think that it should be the only reason that I could justify a PPC ad being $ 2.

A click for this term is because it’s being purchased by lead vendors and being used to convert into leads to sell to insurance agents and they’re competing over it. There’s no justifiable reason for this to be a $ 2, a click term. This is a search that I’ve reversed it and shows you what not to target like you might think. Medicare gap insurance comparison that sounds like a buying term. No one is searching for it.

Competition is huge, Medicare replacement plans. No one is searching for it. Competition is huge Medicare for dummies competitions, mediocre, but no one searching for it. So the only time that you would ever want to target something no one’s searching for now is: if you think that there is a high likelihood than in the future, someone is going to search for it and you want to cement a position, otherwise is utterly pointless.

You don’t want to do it. The only reason that you would want to do it, like I said, is, if you foresee a likelihood of it coming in the future, or if it’s a term that you have a special interest in, even though it’s not being searched for many times. You want to catch all of it, otherwise, it’s not a good. It’s not a good expenditure. Your time for marketing efforts, the best place to start. If you’ve not got anything.

If you don’t have, I don’t have a website, I don’t have a blog. I don’t have anything best place to start easily is about blogging and the reason I say that I can say it so confidently is that what blogging does for you is allows you to create content and the content that you create. If you do, it correctly is targeting keywords that you wanted and if you’re doing that, part of it correctly and you’re creating it on a schedule you’re using the keywords you wanted, you’re getting links to yourself, you’re establishing a web page that in the future, Google is Probably already paying attention to you’ve already written your content.

So when you want to change that page, the content is already there, you don’t have to redo it. All you do is move the content into new places. You build a page around your content. The the writing of content correctly targeting keywords and getting the site to rank is infinitely harder than building a pretty website. Building a pretty website involves either going and buying a pretty template and sticking your things into it.

Building one yourself which again building the 10 page website by hand custom doing all the graphics is a ten-hour job for somebody, that’s moderately skilled that can do you can use Photoshop or GIMP, or something like that and actually make graphics. That’s how long it takes. Comparatively writing good content and getting backlinks might take ten hours a week or ten hours a month for a year, so you’re talking about a difference in time of 10 hours, one time and 10 hours 12 times and the content part is the part that, if you’re Going to focus on anything, everyone can write content.

The the importance is that any Content that you do right use your key words correctly, meaning you get your key words from doing some research. You can spend as much time as you need until you believe that you have found a key word that is worth targeting you’re, going to put that keyword in your title of your article you’re, going to put it in the h1 heading you’re going to put it In the description of the article you’re going to make tags in the article using it for WordPress you’re, going to make your wordpress tags, have that keyword in them you’re going to put that keyword in the body and anytime, you make a backlink you’re going to use This format, so that your backlink, which is where it’s going to, is your keywords so that when Google sees this link, they say: oh here’s, a link to this website.

It is about these keywords. That’s the point to writing them up that way. Whatever you’re doing, writing keep it as interesting as you can. It doesn’t have to be like a technical analysis, article of insurance or something that’s about product offerings or the most boring things you can think of. I was doing the live webinar. We had a technical issue, so my audio to get recorded, but one of my favorite bloggers out there as a guy I’ve, read several of his blog articles because I find them amusing he’s on the insurance forms as chumps from Oxford.

His name is Edie and not for the life of me can’t pick his last name now. At least I remembered his name earlier. I could even remember that Ed’s articles he will go out and write things that are Monty Python level or something that you would expect to see in a a comedy article written somewhere, but he key word targets correctly inside that article he posts consistently. He sends it out to people he links himself correctly, so he does all the correct things with it and he probably gets more success out of doing that than a lot of people get writing technical articles because they’re technical articles are boring and no one wants to Read you can write beautiful technical articles about all kinds of aspects of insurance, but the reality is that most people are not interested in that people.

Unmonitored. When they’re going on the internet and reading things with the vast majority of people want to know how something works and how it relates to them, and if you can condense that down and make it entertaining great, you can’t make it entertaining probably going to read it Again, but unless it’s a educational resource of some sort, that does them has some value to them, where they’re, actually they might need to reference that later so they’re.

You know there is a difference between a reference article and a marketing piece, but in most marketing articles, you’re better off being entertaining than you are being technical being overly technical makes people not really care what you say. I just bore them, so this is an example. Just a quick news posted in on my own website, you see I’ve. This is WordPress. This is my title here. I’ve got a permalink and in my WordPress I’ve got the settings set so that my permalinks are the date and the title, not the page equal to tag, because Google does and Bing does read the URL as part of the keyword decision.

So you want the keywords to be there. You want the keywords to be here. You want the keywords and your tags, you want the keywords in your article and you want the keywords in your header and in this particular article, I’m actually targeting two different keywords: I’m targeting Tennessee Medicare and I’m targeting Medicare annual election period. My hope is that by targeting them both because this is a blog post, I don’t expect to get a lot of direct direct visits or indexing on Google highly for the term Tennessee Medicare off of a blog post.

But when I backlink this, I can backlink it for both of those. I can also backlink it toward my main site. I can back link my main site for Tennessee Medicare or I can back like my main site for annual election period, and I can backlink this article for that and it’s relevant to everything. So Google sees it all as being relevant also, it allows me to – and this is a custom thing – this is actually an add-on.

You can download it for the plug-ins for WordPress, what’s called WordPress Twitter. What I’ve done here is took the URL the title and then made hashtags what these hashtags do. Is they actually tell Twitter that tell people looking at tweets what the what the actual tweet is about? I don’t even like using that term. I think tweet sounds silly, but it tells people tells people what this little post was.

So, for example, what this will come across as in Twitter is a shortened URL that goes directly to the article, the title, and then this article is about Tennessee, Medicare and Tennessee. Medicare Advantage and then I’ve done the same thing on my categories, so in every place the keywords are matching. So it’s it’s easier for google to ascertain what it is. It’s looking at, it’s easier for being to entertain what it’s looking at.

I can even look at it. This be critical of my own post. This is something I wrote quickly. I don’t waste a lot of time, typing up blog posts. I just I write things that I think people either need to know. Sometimes I’ll write articles. When I write an article, I spend a lot more time, but you can see this is not an article. It’s 117 word news post. It’s quick to the point: doesn’t talk about a lot of random things and gibberish and ramble on it just says: AP is coming, marking period starts this day, so that’s when we, you know, agents are allowed to talk to you and some plans have already released their Information but we’re not allowed to contact anybody to discuss it yet contact me or I can you know, schedule an appointment for October.

They’ve changed AP, that’s the whole article, just quick! This also gets posted out in my newsletter. That goes everybody out. I’r a big fan of leveraging all my content, so I can be reused, but even in my own article here I didn’t use the keywords in the body, so I even messed up one of my own rules but, as I said any any of these rules or Not they’re, not rules so to say, they’re, not setting set in stone, they’re just good guidelines to follow that you do get picked up, but that’s that’s it everybody that attended earlier.

Thank you. This is. This is going to sound a little different if you were at the live webinar, because for some reason I had a technical issue and the audio recording did not work, so it had to be redone, but this was a webinar that was done for the independent life Insurance Association and my name again was Brooke jolly. I have a website there at Brooke, jolly calm and I LOI a has their website most of people that are going to be seeing this know what it is, but for anybody, that’s one of the YouTube Watchers.

The il ia is actually an organization that is for training and support for life insurance agents, highly affordable and has more educational material. For somebody, that’s trying to learn this industry than

How To Read Google Analytics Data With WordPress Plugin Analytify

One of those services I offer is detailed, analytics suite. I use Google Analytics and upgraded and amplify it a little bit so that my clients have an amazing opportunity to get to gather insights and a really meaningful and visually pleasant way.

So here we can see this company has several hundred visitors a day on average twelve visitors at this exact moment in time, while I’m logged in they have one visit our online. That person looked up directly I’ll, show you some of the cool things that you can learn your the amount of data and insight they can find is really wonderful. For example, you see how many different sessions different times people logged in we can see the total number of visitors, the overall number of pages that those visitors viewed the average time on site.

Many of these are SEO. Metrics also that Google and the search engines look for and factored into their algorithms as they’re determining which nights to rank they like when people stay on websites and engage and consume the material, they don’t love. When people bounce off a bounce means someone lands on a fair amount of people are going to do that because they’re coming looking for information, something but part of the SEO game is figuring out ways to entice and engage people to dive deeper and stay longer.

On the site, so the average number of pages for this session is I’ve got a large number of new sessions. So it means new people who haven’t been to the site are finding it clean. It obviously good things. Expanding the brand. Look at that cool visual, their percentage of visitors, a new meaning, six percent, compared with returning thirteen percent they’re, so very helpful to know the devices are villiers.

Would you imagine that over 50 % of what traffic occurs on mobile devices now, and so many of us myself included often think and from a desktop point of view, a desktop image point, and it is important and critical to assess and optimize the mobile version of Your website because, for example, this particular website 627 percent of traffic cones via a mobile device. Now we can actually see particular pages that people are landing on number of views response time.

I can dive deeper, two more pages on the site and it’s really helpful to know which pages are bringing people to the site. For example, if you have a blog post or some other content, that is very valuable. That item we can see how many people are brought to the site via that particular post. For that particular page, and as your online presence and content power grows, you will have more opportunities to gather people to your site.

This is a really cool tool. It’s called a heat map and it allows people to see where people are actually moving their cursor and and clicking, and what what elements of your site are working for them, and so I definitely highly recommend that so these this is a good snapshot of analytics and What we can do for your company in terms of giving you data and insight and metrics that can help you develop and have continued to improve and expand your online SEO strategy thanks.

So much

lb: Blog System in Less Than 100 Lines of Shell Script!

So especially now that I’m starting my dissertation and I’m going to be like I’m basically going to be a neat like I don’t have to go to classes or anything at a daily basis, so it’d be nice to keep myself on task now.

I am NOT a big fan of a lot of blogging software out there. You know, I don’t want to use WordPress or anything. That’s too bloated. I want to have something that just generates HTML pages, really simply not even a static page generator, just something. That’s very. Like makes sense, I don’t have to you know, write anything and markdown and convert it to HTML and do all the silly stuff. So I ended up writing a little blog system that might be worth checking out if you’re interested, so it’s actually written in less than a hundred lines of shell script.

In fact, I think it’s. If I actually look at it, I think it’s considerably less yeah. It’s just 71 lines, that’s all you need, but it does everything that I need and it gives you some nice different interfaces that might be interesting. Let me show you how it looks on my website so right now. I just have it here so they’re different in are different ways of looking at it, so the pH I’ve linked here is a rolling blog page, and this is originally the only thing I wanted, but it has other stuff that, in addition to this – and that is When I put up in a blog entry, it appears here as a you know, a new entry, of course they’re in chronological order, auto generates the date, gives me a title.

One of the nice things at is it generates links so it generates. The first link is like a link to the header, so if I click on this link, it actually takes me directly to the header and of course you can copy this, I’m not even on my website, I’m on the offline one, but it doesn’t matter, but you Can just copy the HTML that it generates in the standalone link if you want to link directly to that entry, so you can just copy this share it with some Linnell and it goes directly to that entry.

As you know, you probably have seen in other sites, but it’s nice having this automatic um. Additionally, in addition to that, it generates a link to a standalone page. So if you just want to view one alone, you can do that just as well. Now I don’t have the kind of thing where, like it cuts off after a point, I might integrate that later. But really my goal like what I want to have like what I like in blogs is when they’re just everything is just on one page and if you only use plain text, it doesn’t really get that big.

So my idea is like write, my blog page here. This isn’t part of the system necessarily, but mine is 2008. The HTML and my idea is after 2008 I’ll start using 2009 or something like that. That way, the pages don’t get too big, but my idea is like on this page. Everything should be there, but you know if you don’t like it, you can probably change the the script around, but so it generates these links that generates standalone pages and stuff, like that it also when you finalize a link, it automatically R adds it to the RSS Feed, so you can check my RSS feed and you’ll see that all the syntax is actually here as well.

Actually, let me just open up my RSS feed manually, so you’ll see that it generates it. Of course it takes that AIT’s HTML takes all the metadata. It needs and puts it into some kind of you know, gives it a unique ID the date it’s stuff like that, then it needs to be read properly by RSS readers, so all of that is like totally automatic. Let me show you how you actually use oh and the other interface I should say, which is something I’ve been playing around.

I don’t know if you checked out my website recently, but I’ve been playing around with this for other stuff. Like you know, Apache has this. You know we’re all familiar with it. Probably, but people don’t use them much, often like where a putt Apache can just generate the directory contents for a folder. So you can see the content of the contents of my proto-indo-european folder here. But the same thing is true: if the blog posts, so you can go to slash blog and these are actually out of order because I’ve been playing around with them, but if you don’t mess around with them since you’re, not figure out the cyst like, I am It’ll automatically add them and you can list them in chronological order or something like that, if you don’t know how to do this, for you know, Apache just look up how to make an Apache.

What is it like indexes or something like that? But anyway, so how does this blog system actually work? What’s the actual interface, so I’m going to go to my website directory and you’ll, see here the script here lb. That’s the name of my blog system is symlink. T’, so if you just run it by default, it gives you some directions, but I’ll talk about those in a second to add a new entry. It really just has three commands new finalize and delete so new.

It asks for a title. Let’s say you know, this is a blog post title and you go into it opens up, I think, and it might be vim. I might want to change it to your default editor, but it opens up. You know a page where you can actually add the content. So this is the content and of course this is you know it’s just an HTML, so you can do whatever you want here, save that and now, when you’re done, modifying the file, it’s actually stored, as it says here, it’s stored in a slash blog, slash, dot Drafts now, if you want to get rid of that draft, all you have to do is just RM it.

That’s all you have to do, but if you want to finalize it, what you should do is run lb finalize and that will give you a list of all your drafts. Currently I just have one so I’m going to pick that one and it’s now finalized. Now what that means is, it adds it first off to the HTML like rolling blog page. So here it is here. This is the content artists that are generally a standalone page. This is the content average of that nice and simple.

As the author name below and stuff on the standalone page – and it also it’s not going to work on my URL link, but I can because I haven’t updated my website. But if I go to my RSS feed offline you’ll see that here it’s all been added to the RSS feed, read the RSS feed or whatever. So all of that is automatic. Now, let’s say this is just in an example. I don’t actually want to push this to my website, so what you can do is just run lb delete to delete an old post and that generates a list of all the posts that you have, and I want to get rid of.

I should probably have this ordered chronologically. That would be a little easier, but yeah I’ll do that in a second. So all you have to do is select the one you want to get rid of say yes and then it actually it deletes the file. The standalone file – and it also deletes all that information from the RSS feed and the rolling blog page. So if I go back to this this, that entry is now going to be gone.

Okay, so that’s pretty much all the system. Does it again? It’s really simple! You just create blog posts and it’ll, convert it to RSS syntax and whatever else you need, if you want to delete a post, it will do that automatically. So one thing the one thing it doesn’t do since it’s not like a database or it doesn’t generate pages on the fly is: if you want to modify a post, you would basically have to modify the standalone page and the you know the the rolling blog list And the RSS feeds separately – that’s not the intended interface just because, and it would probably be a little more difficult to add something like that.

Just because there can be there can be a lot that varies between files. So I mean I I’m the kind of person I don’t like revise things like, I don’t believe in correcting spelling checks, there’s spelling mistakes or whatever. So I don’t care, but you know whatever, so it might not be for you if you’re the kind of person who is like that. That’s what I’m trying to say um and the last thing is what is the last thing just two seconds ago in my head, I was like.

Oh, I got ta say this one more thing. What what is the the last thing? I have to say. I don’t know, maybe that is it I’m going to forget, I’m going to turn off the camera and come back in a second. When I remember okay, I remember the last thing is the the other things it’s sort of important to remember is like when it’s generating these entries in the web, like the rolling blog page. All of this is like I mean it actually creates.

If you look at the source of it, it is a div of the class entry or something like this, so all the user interface or not user interface. All the decoration. I have like the fact that this is a slightly darker gray and the the sidebar here. All of that is just CSS, so for a lot of this stuff, if you want like a your blog to look totally different from mine, you can change it all the stuff like how Andrew individual entries look or how you know if you want them all as Individual squares on a page or something something totally unreadable, all of that’s a possibility.

All the thing does and well I should say you can go into the actual script and change any number of variables of the things you know that are at stake. So, of course you know here you can set your individual website, which is obviously not the same as mine you’re, going to want to change that or the stuff up here. You can also change, I think, yeah things like the header or the footer to the the individual page, the date that is displayed on the website.

This stuff is lower down because it has to be called lower down, but yeah, so you can play around with it again. It is less than 75 lines, so it doesn’t have all the functionality and that again it can’t, like you know, like change the content. I’ve already published blogs unless you want to do it manually, but yeah I’ve really enjoyed like this is pretty much all I need for a blog, so it’s probably the kind of stuff I’m going to be using so anyway, but that’s about it and I’ll see you Guys next time hope you learn something

What Is a CMS? Which One Should You Use for Your Website?

” All right, so today, We have a special guest Alycia from Sucuri. Thank you so much for coming on today. Yeah thanks, I’m happy to be here Awesome, so we’re Talking about what is a CMS and which one should you Use for your website, Can you tell us a little Bit about what a CMS is So CMS stands for. Content management system and it’s basically an easier way to put pages, live on your Website or blog post manage your image media Library all that kinda stuff Awesome and now, let’s Go over the top three CMSs, I’m going to be a little bit! Biased in this episode, That’s my disclaimer right there, I’m going to start with WordPress WordPress is the most popular Content management system out there today powers Over 1/3 of the internet, It has tons of plug-ins tons of options and it’s pretty resourceful And probably my favorite Reason for why I use WordPress is the community behind it.

They’re such a large community that that just all comes Together, there’s meetups, there’s wordcamps and everyone just helps each other out For sure, and I mean with 40,000 plugins almost like you, have no end to the kind of functionality you can add to your CMS Absolutely. So what are some other CMSs that we can possibly use For sure, yeah,,’cause everybody’s heard of WordPress, so Yeah Drupal is another very popular one.

It’s been described to me as Kinda, like a Swiss cheese, you need to be a bit more Technical to use Drupal, but it does have a lot Of different features compared to WordPress, it has A different user experience and ultimately it’s been Used for a lot of things like government websites, And that kinda thing because of its ability to be a little more secure in some areas: yeah Yeah and it’s definitely One not for like the smaller business type sites as Enterprise or large Corporation type sites right, Yeah, yeah for sure Yeah Joomla – is another really Popular one as well, It’s got a really good.

Community – and it’s got, I think, the second highest Market share after WordPress, Although WordPress is Like 30 % – and I think, like It’s, a giant Joomla’s like 6 %, so just A little bit of a gap there between the top two but Joomla’s, also a really awesome CMS to use You wan na make sure that you’re using the most latest version. If possible, There are two active versions: Available that you can use Yeah, you definitely wan na stay on the most recent branch.

Of any CMS, if possible, Yeah that’s just a best practice there. All right. Let’s talk! About really figuring out, which one should you use right Like what are some of the first Steps we wan na think about. Definitely you wan na Make sure that you know what your requirements Are for your website, So how does it need to Be for your users to use! How are you going to go about? Actually creating posts and what are the processes that you’re going to use as part of that And then once you have all that you can kinda look at each CMS and see what are the extensions and Themes that are available And see if they’ll match the Requirements that you have for your website, That makes sense and It all comes down to figuring out what’s right for you Like, I will stand by WordPress all day, but WordPress may not be Right for your situations, Figuring out those requirements, With those applications are super important, Yeah and usually a Lot of the CMS websites have a great community Because they are open-source, So tell us a little about open-source Yeah for sure.

So all Those top three CMSs they’re open-source they’re, also free, which is very important, Open-source, basically Means that the source code used to build WordPress Or Drupal or Joomal, it’s all open and available, and anybody can contribute to it as well Right on So that just means it’s Constantly being improved by the community and the Community’s also checking to make sure that, what’s Being added is secure All right, so we want our Website to look good right, So is that something to think About when we’re choosing what platform we use and how easy it is to create those sites Totally so different themes will have different attributes like They may have a sidebar on the left or the right, Or they may be all one column in a never-ending scrolling website.

Different themes will Allow you to accomplish, maybe what you need by Having custom backgrounds or custom menus, so you Wan na look at the options for your theme and you also don’t wan na discount like premium themes, A lot of premium themes out, there will add extra functionality, So you’re, essentially Paying for the theme, even though the CMS is free, That’s an awesome option. There’s premium plug-ins as well, Depending on what you Need the default themes that come with it are Sometimes a little restrictive, so you wan na take a look at What the default themes are: Try some different free themes and see what the options are to get your site to look.

The way you want it to Yeah and what was kind Of controversial at first in WordPress and 5.0 remember Gutenberg, Oh yeah, Gutenberg is essentially The new WordPress editor, The whole point is to kinda mirror the printing press of just Blocks and everything else, Yeah, what you see is what you get So as you’re typing — Whizzy, wig, Yeah whizzy wig, Thank you So as you’re typing Yeah, you see exactly what you would see on the website, So that comes default by WordPress.

It has made the experience. Especially for first-time users easier to create, Then there are page Builders like Elementor or Beaver Builder or WPBakery Builder, that makes that user-experience A little bit easier, If you’re going on the WordPress realm and really want something: That’s pretty customizable, you don’t have to be a Web developer or guru to build that website For sure CMSs are having to Make things a little easier, You know, there’s a lot of Different places out there that are creating website builders that are super easy for people to use, and so it’s helpful for These open-source CMSs to make the user-experience a little easier All right.

So another thing we probably have to think about. Is the hosting requirements We’re going to need for our applications? Talk us through a little Bit of what that looks like For sure, so most of These are running on PHP, so you want the most Updated version of PHP, especially if you want The latest features and to make sure that you’re Getting those security updates? Yes, So that’s really important.

A lot of hosting companies will offer one-click Install for most of these major CMS applications, Some hosting companies Especially when I first started creating websites – and I Was on a super budget, but also a very secure host, it took me a long time. It took me like three days to install WordPress and they have a famous 5-minute install You wan na look and see, and maybe talk to your hosting company.

About what the options are for getting this CMS Installed on your server Right,,’cause, taking three Days to get a website going just the beginning is not Something you wan na do There’s a lot of places out there that will do managed hosting Especially with WordPress There’s managed WordPress that has just already automatically installed some extra security features And then what most people End up going with is like a cPanel type Hosting Since it does have that one-click install with Installatron or Softaculous, Whatever they’re, using Totally Couple of clicks of a button and then it’s there, You can start building and Designing, however, you want All right, so the real Reason I brought you on to this.

Episode is really talking about security with CMSs They’re open-source. You Constantly have to update them, so there’s lots of things. That we need to really think about to make sure Our stuff’s protected Totally well with It being open-source not only are all the good People contributing code, but all the bad people can Also, look at that code as well and find vulnerabilities. So that’s something that a lot of people are concerned about.

Especially with WordPress being so popular, it is a large target. The CMS itself is actually quite secure because there’s a great Community checking things out. You wan na make sure that you’re Not installing more plug-ins than you need Trying to make sure that you’re keeping everything up to date. If you have a managed solution, They’ll, do it for you, Which is awesome. Yup, You wan na make sure That you have something some kind of security plug-in That’s monitoring your site, letting you know if there is A problem that they detect There are some that can also Add features for protection like adding Two-Factor Authentication, which is a second password on your phone that you need to enter in Order to get into your website There’s all kinds of Cool security, plug-ins security utilities that You can use with your CMS Yeah, I know with WordPress the top security plug-ins That come to mind, of course, Sucuri has This security plug-in, but there’s also Wordfence And then with having an SSL on your site, super important just to Encrypt that password,’cause, you have to login The beauty with CMSs that You can access them anywhere right, Yup, So you wan na make sure that wherever you’re accessing’em Your password isn’t being sniffed out by someone in the middle Yeah.

You wan na, be careful. You don’t wan na. Maybe do It in like an airport or coffee shop, Wi-Fi Unless you’re using a VPN.’Cause, if you are sitting There on public, Wi-Fi and there’s a hacker sitting next to you, they could sniff your password As you’re typing it in And then the next thing you know, there’s a bunch of spam pages on your site that you need to deal with. So what about firewall? I’ve heard that it should be important.

Should be added to the site, What’s the validity with that? Definitely one of the nice things about a website firewall Is that it will virtually patch your CMS? So if There is a security issue, essentially the firewall’s Taking care of that, It surrounds your website. And if somebody’s trying to exploit a vulnerable Plug-In on your site, the firewall will catch. That attempt and block it They’ll see a blocking page.

Meanwhile, all of your legitimate Visitors are being sped-up because of the global Network of the firewall and content delivery network, So we’ve figured out what Cms we’re wanting to use We’ve got it installed, how Do we go about documentation, learning the program itself? There are some awesome Resources out there, You talked about WordPress WPBeginner has some awesome? Training guides and tutorials There’s an awesome community.

For all of these CMSs, with very active, like support forums, That’s a great way to go about it And then, obviously, if you have a developer, Or something like that, that’s helping you get some customization. They can usually help you. You wan na make sure that You’re documenting everything as part of your website as well, so It’s just going to help you Later on down the line, if you know you have a List of all the users, all the plug-ins and that kind of stuff and you’re keeping that up-to-date Yeah, especially if you Have people on your team that needs to access the site, Giving them documentation on What they should be accessing, what they shouldn’t be, because sometimes the wrong click can Make just chaos happen Totally and good user passwords making sure that you’ve Got the right role levels assigned to your users? Whether they’re just an editor or author or contributor Right Those roles are usually built into the CMS to allow you to make Sure they can only access what they should be allowed to access.

You only wan na grant admin privileges to somebody for as long as they need it, and that kind of thing Now, with this website, I know many of the entrepreneurs or even solopreneurs out there with their stuff, has Many hats to wear right, Sometimes maintaining it, isn’t always something that they have time for Yeah. It may not be top of mind Right. What should we be? Doing with those updates Yeah, definitely I would say that it’s very important to make sure that you always retain Access to your property, your web property, So I’ve seen cases where a developer will leave a client and Leave with the passwords and then you can’t get Into your hosting account, or you can’t into WordPress, It’s not ideal, so make sure you always have access to those things And make sure that you’re just practicing safe security practices.

Throughout all of it Right on and with WordPress and Joomla everything else, we Talked about it earlier, make sure you’re at least going in there every now and then to update It to the next latest version: It’s not only for performance, but it is for security Yeah for sure I mean with some CMSs there might be different branches that are still being actively developed So having a firewall That can virtually patch and make sure if there Are any vulnerabilities you have a little bit of an extra window.

‘Cause whenever there’s a Security update released, the hackers are looking going. “: Okay, here’s the old file; “, here’s the new file; oh look: “! There’s the security flaw!”, So it can be –. Then send all our bots out Totally it can a matter of minutes hours after a security patch is released before there’s active attacks in the wild So definitely update your Sites as soon as possible, Auto-updates are amazing, WordPress has auto-updates on most hosts, Yeah and or you can hire developers like most designers or Developers will have like a website care plan, so you Can them just do it for you, If you’re using WordPress, Godaddy ProSites or ManageWP has the one-click updates.

So you can update all your Plug-Ins and your themes, You even have a safe update option. So what it does is It’ll update your site, take a snapshot of before and after and make sure they’re all the same. And if there’s an issue It’ll retract, back to it It’s a free option for you Yeah, that’s perfect! You hit on a good point, It’s not a set it and forget. It thing with a website: You need to make sure that You’re maintaining it And that it’s part of your business, it’s how your business looks.

So you should definitely Make sure that you have some kind of plan for keeping It up-to-date and maintained All right. The last point that we should really talk about is really your time and investment with the CMS of your choice. Talk us through a little Bit of that about that For sure we’ll you Wan na go in and realize that it’s going to take you Time to setup all the pages that you want Right: It may take you time to find the right plug-ins, so you wan na kinda think through whether You want to hire somebody or get some help with that To find the functionality and the look and feel that you’re after Definitely budget when It comes to free CMSs.

Well, you don’t have to pay for the CMS. So that’s helpful Right! But it’s customization and security and all Those things that you definitely wan na consider as part of the whole package of having a website On-going costs for domain WHOIS privacy, SSL certificates, Right firewall, All that kind of stuff, All that good things Totally yeah, there’s A lot of accessories that go on with having a website, So you wan na figure like I said at the beginning what those requirements are And then make sure you have a plan for how you’re going to budget and the timelines around When you wan na launch Perfect and with Drupal And Joomla they are, they do have that smaller market share, So there’s really specific requirements of when you wan na use those applications.

Those developers that you hire for Drupal or Joomla might cost more than a WordPress designer as well For sure yeah, and you wan na make sure that you’re really looking at the work that the developer has done and make sure that it Matches what you’re, after There’s lots of great Websites out there that you know can tell you more About how to pick a developer depending on what you’re after Well? Thank you so much for Coming out on the show today and helping us figuring Out what a CMS is why we should use one You’ve been awesome Thanks my pleasure.

Well, if you liked this article go ahead and smash that, like button, add a comment below on Something that you’ve learned and subscribe to this blog and ring that bell, if you’d like to see these episodes first, This is “ The Journey.,” we’ll see you next time.

I love Canva, just because Of its ease of use, Anyone can go in and edit it I mean. I know Photoshop and All these advanced things, but Canva just makes it That much easier and faster to actually create this content. So what we’re actually going to create today is basically your featured images, we’re going to make them A little bit more branded and a little bit more elevated make them stand out a little bit.

We might have a little Extra bonuses at the end too Perfect, But I see these burgers Like Whataburger review, the In-n-out review Hopdddy All these different things We wan na go ahead, get in Canva and check this out, You can get there by just By going to Canva.Com but right in the top there Where it says design anything we’re just going to type Blog and see what pops up, We have blog banner and blog graphic, So I’m probably going to Use just the blog banner, So it’s not as big or This image right here, they’re, not that big, we Want them kind of small and choose blog banner And what’s cool about this Especially, if you don’t have that design eye is, it gives you tons of templates to start from So earlier you were telling Me some of your colors are those green colors right, [ Alex ] Right, [ Nealey ], So you can see here.

There’s not a lot of green and that’s okay, You’re going to be able Edit all of this content, So I’m going to let you kind of go ahead and tell me which style you wan na use. Let’s choose The Art, Exhibit one [ Nealey ] All right, so you Chose the art exhibit template. I like it We’re going to go ahead and edit it and make it kind of your own. So we obviously don’t Want the art exhibit Let’s check out, let’s do one of your most recent reviews, which is WHATABURGER review and then “ All about Their burgers and fries.

” A little bit there [ Alex ] Yeah, [, Nealey ]. So what’s cool About this is this font might not be your font In the upper left. You can actually go ahead and change that and it’s linked up with Google fonts. So anything on google Fonts, which is usually what most websites use what your brand uses you can add here. So, let’s scroll through And find your brand, So I know you liked Poppins So we’re going to go ahead and use Poppins right here, So Poppins’ bold.

So we’ve got that Whataburger review and maybe we don’t want this Whatever this background is it’s kind of blurry, Let’s go ahead and add in a burger, So we’re just going to pick a burger’cause. I don’t want to go to your website, I’m a little lazy, I’m going to go ahead. And search photos and just type burgers, I wan na keep it free and then search. So all these burgers are absolutely free. I can go ahead.

Add it On here, just like that And wallah We’ve got a Whataburger review all about their burgers All right. So that’s Just the basics of Canva, using the templates adding The background image adding some text change the font. Were there any other elements. You really wan na add to this image. I’r not really sure What kind Of options am I looking at All right, so, let’s just check it out. So, on the left hand, side, we’ve got different options and we’re going to go to elements.

Elements are just different. Images ingredients and all these other things inside of Canva that you can use So I wan na talk about grids for a second Grids are basically –. Let me just throw that on there. They looks like a little cloud and some grass and stuff right, But this is really for, if You wan na add an image here without having to style it yourself, It’s really great for templates. So if I had that post there And then I wanted to add another picture of a burger right here.

It throws it in just like that. So then, if I have another image, I could just put it right on top and then the template Changes with that image Super helpful when you’re Making your blog post, you don’t have to always going to edit it and style it move it around. Those little things help out tremendously. So, let’s move on We’ve got different shapes could add different Shapes on your website style, however, you want move it around.

Just like ( beat box music ), But you go ahead and change the Colors right at the top left, You said your colors are Greens, so I make that green green again. Maybe we want this kind of. I don’t know just randomly up here. Why not we’re just going with it And then, if you don’t want It there like, I, don’t You can just hit, delete and it’s gone So there’s all sorts of different icons and different elements you can have.

If I search burger, for example, I can probably find a Lot of different burgers. Remember you wan na click on that free icon. We’re try to do this for free [, Alex ], Absolutely [, Nealey ]! I really like This little guy right here That is only works. You Can’t see the content Cool, maybe that works But yeah. There’s lots of Different things, you can do You just search in the Top left under elements, if you wan na, add your Text you can do so there You wan na, add a different background.

You can go through all your uploads, I’m not going to go through uploads and you’ll, see all my randomness And then you can categorize your stuff by folders and things like that. So then, when you’re done, you would just choose download. So let’s download this bad guy and then go over to your website. Go to your Whataburger review, Let’s edit, that post! Let’s change this image upload ours! So once it’s uploaded, remember that all text Is super important WHATABURGER REVIEW Juicy burger posts for the caption and then select and update.

So now we can go back to our website. [ Alex ] Looks so much better. [ Nealey ] We have that Whataburger review is they can see that super quick and easy? Not everyone likes to read these. They, like flip through the images they’ll see that image and they’ll also see The Whataburger review So now, what’s super cool When it comes to Canva, if you end up upgrading To their premium license is the ability to resize your content, you’ve already created.

So if you say you wanted The same type of template on social media’cause Branding is super important. It’s super important to be consistent. You can easily resize this To say an Instagram post Click resize at the top search Instagram Instagram post copy & resize, and then it threw it together. And an Instagram post, You might need to update some of the different elements if needed, but it makes it super simple to really have your brand everywhere.

[ Alex ] Right. So that was awesome. What else can I do in Canva for my blog [ Nealey ]? Yes, so what a lot Of people will do in Canva, especially on a blog, is Create their own custom ads So those little things that will end up on the widget sidebar. So let’s go back to canva’s home and then we’re just going to Search Ads see what pops up, So we have a Facebook Ad That’s a little too wide a leaderboard Ad large Rectangle and a medium rectangle, You should probably just Do a medium rectangle, keep it simple, And then we have all of This different content, We kind of wan na, keep it consistent to the look and feel That we had with this So let’s actually just Do this from scratch? So when you go to elements I’m going to throw in this grid, keep it easy on us right.

[ Alex ] Yeah [ Nealey ], And then you had Your recipe book right, What was the recipe book about? [ Alex ] Taco, Tuesday recipes [, Nealey ], All right. So this whole Ad is going to be about your Taco Tuesday recipe book. So I wan na search for a taco image, Which one looks good to you: [ Alex ], All of them, (, laughs, ), [, Nealey, ] You’re, not wrong; [ Alex ]. Let’s do the One with the limes yeah [ Nealey, ], Perfect All right now I want to Make this a little darker just so that the white Will contrast on it, You do so with the adjust at the top.

Now I wan na add some text in Taco, Tuesday Recipes and that’s obviously way too big, not the font. We want And not in the colors, So we wanted Poppins’cause, it’s poppin’, (, laughs, ), I’m real corny, guys All right. We also wan na change the color. I didn’t change. All of it All right go back to Poppins Poppins Poppins Poppins. There we go All right and then we Wan na change the color make that white we wan na change the size.

That’s way too big That looks good, And now with this I don’t really want That extra space there, it’s kind of too much You can go over to spacing And then go to line height and then shrink or expand this as needed All right, so we got Taco Tuesday recipes, Let’s check on the other posts, so we make this consistent. All right! We’ve got these Little white lines here so, let’s make sure we have that It’s going to be over in elements and then shapes, I hope, Nope, I hope nope.

Oh, then, you go over two elements go down to lines That makes more sense And then also that white turn it around Got to shrink a little bit And then the regular Commands like CTRL, +, C CTRL, + V, things like that work here You hit CTRL + D. If you’re on a windows, computer or Command + D, it’ll duplicate it nice and easy for you And what’s cool about Canva is it kind of will make A little bit of a grid, so you can see it, it shows that it’s even With the other one, So you can throw that in there And now we have our Taco Tuesday Recipes.

Now, if there’s anything else, you wan na add you can always just kind of search, see what other things pop up. Maybe you wan na add Some random little tacos in the top left or on top Cool, and now once we have this we’re going to want to download that then go over to your website. Now we’re going to throw it Under the widget area, So we wan na go over to Your WordPress dashboard appearance and then widgets and then we wan na actually Add an image here So there’s an image on The left hand column just drag that right over I’m, going to put that above –.

Actually, let’s put it Below the recent posts, We don’t really wan na title and we just wan na upload that Taco Tuesday Recipe image Now what’s important, With some of these images that you throw on your Website in the bottom right, it’ll usually try to make It just the medium size Now our medium size is the full size, but for those you’re reading, if you have an image, you’re uploading make sure you put it on full size.

Otherwise, it’s going to Make it a lot smaller than it actually is, Let’s go add to widget save. If you wanted to link to your landing page that we created earlier, you can go ahead, do so there And then let’s check it out, It’s going to go to your website and then let’s check Your WHATABURGER REVIEW and then bam. We got your Taco Tuesday Recipes [ Alex ]. It looks good [ Nealey ]. So if someone click that it’ll go to your landing page, see all about your recipe book and then you’ve got it So Canva will let you really create almost anything you’re wanting to What I would recommend.

Is just going through all of the designs They have it right here. It’s like Canva print posters, logos, desktop Wallpaper blog banners Instagram Stories literally everything, But what I would highly Highly highly recommend is always keep your brand consistent. Now, there’s lots of templates to use and it sounds really cool. Don’t just go and start making all sorts of different stuff. It’s going to confuse your audience.

If you start doing that Perfect, do I think I’ve got it all I’m going to go home play with Canva, see what I can create. Let us know in the comments below if you’ve ever used, Canva before Yeah, and I really Hope this inspired you to really elevate your brand using Canva or whatever else you wan na, create it with You got some value out of this article.

How to Accept Credit Cards on Website – Stripe Payment Gateway Setup WooCommerce WordPress Websites

Now I have two thoughts. You have to create an e-commerce website now this in this article I’ll show you how you can accept the payment on your own website, because if earlier we were using PayPal in PayPal, what happens is when the user or the customer wants to make payment? They have to go to PayPal to make the payment, but today I’ll show you how you can accept payment on your own website.

Okay, so the user can make payment through credit card or debit card on your own website. They don’t have to go to some third party website. First, let’s understand the difference and let’s use this website as a demo. App. Sorry, if you don’t know how to create this ecommerce website, if you are interested in how to create a ecommerce website from scratch you very easily, then there is a link given in the article description below you can follow that link.

I have thought you know in detail, for, for there is a four hour long tutorial you can read that tutorial. You’ll learn everything from scratch: how to create an e-commerce website. Okay, now let me go to the shop page. So, let’s add some product in our card. For example, suppose you want to add this thing this helmet? How are this and click on Add to Cart now, as you can see, we have something in add in our cart.

So let’s click on View cart. So this is the product in our cart. Now, if you want to make payment, what do you do? You click on proceed to checkout and we have this PayPal option over here. So now, let’s see this is the website on which we are nitro, dot, Nisha, calm, and when we want to make payment through PayPal, we select PayPal. We click on proceed to PayPal. Now, as you can see, it has redirected me to paypal.

Com not on my website. Even if I want to make payment through credit card or debit card, I will have to use PayPal. Ok, now I don’t say: PayPal is bad or something like that. Paypal is really really amazing. I personally use it, but the thing is now: oh, this thing doesn’t work. Ok, if you’re creating our e-commerce website, you should you have some better option. That is what I am showing you today.

Ok now, this is what happens when you use PayPal. Now, let’s come back, let’s come back again now, instead of PayPal, you can use stripe okay. Now, when you use stripe, as you can see, if we have the credit card details over here, the user can put in that credit card or debit card details over here. Okay, this is just demo card. Okay, so don’t use this card and they can put all this information over here and click on place order.

Okay, it is taking some time, it is analyzing it. As you can see. Thank you. Your order has been received, so we, the user or the you have already received an order. Okay, the the customer didn’t have to go to some third party website to make the payment now today I’ll show you how you can set up this thing so to do so. Come back to your dashboard now to use this thing first, we need a plug-in called stripe.

So, from the left hand side you will see this plugins how our plugins and click on add new. Now, in the search plug-in the stripe in stripe as STR IPE now, when you do, when you do so, you get many different plugins called stripe. Now the one which you have to install is this one: Moo commerce, stripe payment gateway by mu commerce. Ok, it has got around 300,000 active installs, so this is the one that you have to install so here, you’ll get one button like this install now.

Click on that Install Now button then activate this plug-in. Okay, once you activate this plug-in from the left hand, side how our commerce and click on settings now click on checkout. Now you should see one more option over here called stripe like this one. Here we have stripe. Click on stripe now make sure you take mark this enable stripe and in the title we have credit card or stripe. Now we don’t want this title.

We will just use credit card or debit card. Ok, ok, pay with your credit card wire stripe. So again, we don’t need good, while stripe just type in pay with your credit card or debit card. Now I have enabled test mode because I don’t want to make any real payment. So if you, let me show you how to set this thing. First, go to strike calm and make a free account. It is really easy and very simple to create an account.

I have already done that. As you can see, I have made one hundred and fifty dollars sale. This is obviously test sale. So what I’ll do now? I will go to developers and under developers you have API keys. Now, I’m at present. As I said you I’m using the test mode, I’m not using the live mode. That’s why I am getting this thing over here. So when I click on this, I have publishable key and secret key so copy.

Let’s click on checkout now, as you can see, it doesn’t say stripe. Now it is saying credit card or debit card. Now we can just enter your debit card details. In fact, this is just a demo card number. You can use this card number. 4. 4. 4. All this for 2 and after that, you can put any month expiry date any month and any year and any CVC number and click on place order. Ok, the order amount was 2834, as you can see over here.
