I will be traveling the modal devices and browsers. So let me introduce first of all. First of all, you have to click on, add type button by clicking on my exciting and so on, open for adding website to get drag. So the first bit is fine available with this time. It is complete and thousand see the available widget time is the total number of VC per day which you can send to the website.
This is the total number of traffic which can be generated with this software. On the current system, it is based on the system configuration if your PC is not having enough RAM or processors, then it may be quite low, so the basic mix, Pat from the basic one here, is a link, but here we can put the URL of our Website on which we want traffic from p.M. Putting my own website, it is yes, we are going to discuss only basic things here.
I am just adding being. You are a healthy number of traffic Itaewon. So currently I will set maximum here. You can see we have to just enter the URL and the total traffic so for now we will keep all this thing as it is and we will discuss in the next article regarding all the seekers. Now you have to just click on the ok button by clicking on OK button, you will see the official list is added here.
This is the unique number of PRS here you are, and this is open to you now you can see the traffic it started to come. I have made this slide. You can also change the number of traffic and other options. Similarly, you can temporarily stop each traffic being sent to be side, and you can also enable this.
It is showing total number of traffic year off of the total traffic. Please getting updated it’s a few time intervals and you can also share these settings and you can also modify the settings so here, as we are going here, you can see itto the number of traffic a minute and it is increasing continuously here we can see this Talk reddish and I have not configured it, so it will by the cold so subreddit.
We can get enable that we we need one two three sub pages when you move copy. Second, so that we can reduce our bounce rate. You can see here the globe. It is a high quality traffic on the US and also from all over the world. We can also consider this traffic. I will show you how we can do this later, so if we make it in two again Yeti double so this was the option home where we can create the traffic in Google Analytics.
We can also create the traffic to URL, shortener, Google’s or any kind of media. First of all, you have to do just a simple things. We will create um, URL, so unique Here I am completely taking any random mix. Then you can click here to copy me and moving change it to here. So now we can see the traffic will start bleeding here to paste to play in traffic engine directly click here on analytics data, and it is currently showing zero because we as soon as you interpret here, you can see here that it is updating.
So you can see the browser half of locations operating systems with a 30 minute which
Hundreds and I’ve been doing this for years and made millions of dollars and I’m going to show you the simple three-step process for starting a website based business. I’r going to be showing you what to do where to do it and how you can make money.
So, let’s get into this and there’s going to be a bonus tip at the end, where I’ll show you how you can make multiple streams of income from your website, so let’s get it hey marketers! So if you were like me, you love the idea of having a website based business for a number of reasons. One it works. While you sleep number two, it doesn’t complain and number three. It can make you money a number of different ways and it’s all automated.
So, let’s get into how to start a website business in this, if you’re not familiar with me, I’ve been running an internet business. I’ve been a full time entrepreneur since 2012 is when I quit my job September 2012 is when I quit my job now. The first step to starting a website based business is, you have to register a domain? Okay, real obvious thing, but you can go to different sites such as GoDaddy top recommended hosting company is down below, but basically you’ll, look up your website domain and you’ll see.
If it’s available most websites retail for about ten dollars, so you usually don’t have to spend more than ten twelve dollars, usually not higher than fifteen dollars to purchase a website now after you purchase website, usually bundled in is you’ll need hosting okay, so you also need, What’s called web hosting? So if you think about it, the website itself is like the real estate. Okay, your domain name, which you will pay generally speaking, fifteen dollars for ten to fifteen dollars.
That’s the real estate, but in order for the real estate to be worth anything, you need to have running water. You need to have electricity, you need to have plumbing. You need to have Wi-Fi if you’re living in the 21st century and that’s what hosting is hosting, is when you’re paying an internet company to actually hold your website for you and load it on other people’s computers every time somebody visits it now.
Technically, if you own a computer and you leave it on 24/7, you could actually host your own website and not have to pay any money. But to do that, I’ve tried it. It’s a real technical challenge and you need to know server-side, scripting and programming and all this sort of stuff databases – and it just doesn’t make sense so unless you’re super advanced you’ll have to buy hosting now hosting generally cost somewhere around 20 dollars a month.
Now, if you sign up with my top recommended hosting company, which there should be a link in the description, then you’ll actually get a free website and you’ll get hosting that costs less than five dollars. So I suggest, if you’d like, to get a website sign up with the website hosting company that I recommend down in the description before you. Do that we’re going to go on what you do next to start a website based business.
Now the second step of starting a website based business is you need to put content on your website now to put content on your website? I have another article where I show you how to set up a website in five minutes, and you can check that article out. It goes over a little more in detail exactly how I show on my computer, how to put content on your website and how to set up your website if you use my top recommended hosting provider, but some good tips on doing content on your website is, generally Speaking people put blog posts on they write words but Matthew, Woodward who’s.
A pretty popular blogger. Talking about how to create website based businesses gives a few different suggestions here. So, first off the difference between good content, bad content is good. Content is in-depth, provide value and we’ll talk about this a little bit later, when we get into my pro tips but offer more value on the subject, then you see other people doing one thing to not do is do not stuff it with keywords, because you heard That putting a ton of keywords in your article or your blog post or your whatever it is, is going to help you out.
Stuffing keywords does not work. Some other things that don’t work is doing a very short article, making it super spammy and full of links and having no multimedia. What I suggest you do is just as Matthew says, use all three content forms, meaning text image and article also keep your art cool, up-to-date if you’re doing in a definitive article, some things such as how to save money or something like that.
You know a very broad article. You can keep it up to date, but, generally speaking, I don’t think you always need to keep your article up to date. If the content doesn’t always change. Okay, keeping your articles or your content up to date really only applies to certain content where it goes out of date. But what is definitely good is referencing other sources, so the more third-parties you kind of reference in your article – you say – oh CNN, said this and NBC said this and Fox News said this Donald Trump said this Bernie Sanders said this: it’s actually good.
It helps your article in terms of ranking. It shows that you did research now. The third step is the most exciting and that’s monetizing content ooh. This is exciting, so the third step is the most exciting and that’s when you monetize content and what’s exciting about monetizing content, is you make money so I’m going to show you two ways that you can make money from your website and I’m also going to show You a third way in a few minutes here when we get to the pro tips, so the first way to monetize is using banner ads.
Now we see a big banner ad right here. This is ad space right. You see this is the New York Times. So this is just a screenshot of their website, but you’ll see right above it is this huge ad for whatever Ericka blacks jet car, whatever. That is now that’s a great way to make money. You can make money by putting ads at the top, and you can see there’s an ad over here is generally ads all over. So this is a great way and the way you do this is with something called Google Adsense it’s free to sign up for, and they will give you directions on how to integrate this into your site.
No matter what type of website you have. Google will be happy to place ads on your site and the way it works with Google is, you will get 60 % and Google will get 40 % of whatever money is earned. So if Google sells $ 10,000 worth of ads on your site, you get 6,000, they get four pretty good business for Google. They make a lot of money. There are other companies that you can work with to monetize your website to put ads on your website.
That’ll pay you better shares, but, generally speaking, Google has four million companies who place ads on their platform, you’re generally going to make a lot more money working with Google than any other provider, because no other provider has as many advertisers as Google. The second way, I recommend you monetize, your website is through, what’s called affiliate marketing. Now, that’s what I do for a living.
I make hundreds of thousands of dollars per month, yeah seriously through affiliate marketing and what affiliate marketing is it’s when you’re advertising somebody else’s company and you just link to it when you just advertise somebody else’s company and whenever they get a customer or a lead or Something they pay you, okay, so what’s great about affiliate marketing is, if you know your audience, and you should, if you’re reading this blog and there’s no reason to not, and if you want to learn a little bit more about affiliate marketing and how it works check Out one of my other articles on affiliate marketing but affiliate marketing.
If you know what products people are already buying cut out the middleman, instead of paying 40 % to Google, you can actually get rid of that and you can keep a hundred percent of the money that you receive from your affiliate marketing. Rather than pay Google costs to connect you with these companies, so you work directly with the company rather than working through an ad network such as Google, and that pays a lot more and almost every single blog and youtuber.
You will see, uses affiliate links if you’ve ever come across a website that recommends an Amazon product. I don’t know my wife, we were having a conversation about affiliate marketing and she says I never click on affiliate links. John III – don’t know it seems, like seems like a scam to me, and I said: okay, can I look at your computer. She said okay, she had like 10 browser tabs open and I look at her computer and I said honey.
What’s this site, it’s called a Lucy’s list com and she said: oh, that’s, uh. I was looking for new diapers for Fiona. I wanted the the current diapers are kind of chafing, her butt and I’m worried they’re, giving her a rash. So I wanted to find eco-friendly diapers that didn’t have chemicals or whatever in them. I said: okay, okay, which one do you like? Oh she says I’m getting this one there. I got that one and I said, and you’ve never clicked on affiliate links.
She said. No. I haven’t that’s an Amazon link. I said exactly it’s an affiliate link going to Amazon. The Lucy’s list is making 5 % of whatever you bought. She said no way so most likely, almost all blogs use affiliate links. Nowadays, it’s just the way to make better money and you can be an affiliate for Amazon, Walmart and eBay and Target all sorts of companies. So affiliate marketing is a great place and then the pro tips I’m going to give you so you’ve got two ways to monetize.
So, to get the most money out of your website business, I really highly recommend doing product reviews pay the more products you feature in your blog or in your website, the better okay, I’m not sponsored by Kido. I love these shakes, I’m on the keto diet. I just lost 15 pounds actually, but I’m not sponsored by them, but if I was a youtuber and if I was going for brand sponsorship deals, I would hang out with this all the time id place products around my set or whatever you want to call it All the time and with reviews review products regularly, you make a lot more money.
Brands will reach out to you even to pay you upfront money to review their products. Companies will send you free products and offer you affiliate or referral deals to review their product. You can get all sorts of opportunities, but the more you make your website centered around products and selling products, the more products you’re going to sell. Okay, that might sound crazy that it might sound stupid.
You know, are simple, but it’s true. I hear this so much. I hear life, coach or marketing gurus talk about, do what you love, do, what you love and you’ll, make a lot of money right and if I did what I loved I’d be naked right now, sitting in my jacuzzi, you know, probably you know smoking something and Then I’ll play some article games later and make love to my wife, okay, but it’s not good. None of that’s going to make me any money.
Okay, so the point is doing what you love that doesn’t necessarily make you money. Selling products does and if I can get an amen in the comments type in our men below, if you know what I’m talking about, you know, I still believe it’s do what you love that still makes money. I think the phrasing has to be off of it, but if you just completely do what you love, I mean I’d be sitting in bed. You know like hanging out, so keep that in mind.
You want to sell products, you want to start a business talk about products. Okay and reviewing products is one of the best surefire ways to make money with a website business full stop. Next, pro tip is youtube okay, so we talked about how you need to have all three multimedia types in your actual website text images article now, preferably the article – would be your own YouTube articles for every post for every product to review for everything you comment on.
For every article you write for every opinion piece you write for every whatever you’re doing have an accompanying article on YouTube. It makes your blog rank better. Your YouTube blog can rank for whatever you’re talking about and third off, you make money from YouTube. So it’s a third source of income. Okay, now YouTube doesn’t make people a lot of money right now: okay, for instance, I’m a youtuber or you know.
I do YouTube a lot. I get about a million views a month I make about $ 20,000 a month from YouTube. For me, that’s not a lot, because my main business makes me about five hundred thousand dollars a month, so really in the scheme of things in the scheme of how much knowledge on time I put into this, I get very little return now. It may sound like a lot to you, but in comparison to what I do, it’s not a lot, but it has monstrous potential monstrous huge potential.
So YouTube may not be a monster income source right now, but starting a YouTube, blog and growing on YouTube is a huge huge thing. You can do right now today, that’ll help pay off years in the future, because YouTube is growing. The future is moving towards article. The third pro tip I’d give you is offer extreme value now. Jeff Bezos has gotten rich because he’s has an extreme customer focus in his company.
The first principle of everything is customer obsession, but be obsessed with the customer, given what they want, and what they’ve done is what they realized very early on. Is customers want lower prices and customers want faster shipping? They just said okay. This is what we found out from lots of customers. This is what they want at first. They thought it was variety and then they thought it was selection, but really it was about low crisis and fashion.
That’s what customers want and he delivered it to them. He has gone to extreme lengths. I don’t know if you’ve readed the documentary, the PBS documentary on Amazon. It’s amazing check it out. It’s absolutely amazing, highly suggest you read the amazon PBS documentary, but what that documentary goes over is he goes to extreme lengths to get lower prices. He created his own factories. He roboticized his factories factory workers in Amazon, don’t walk through aisles.
They actually have robots, bring him things in boxes, so they’ll say take a teddy bear from this tray and put it in this box. Take a toothbrush from this put it in this he’s just completely reinvented American industry to give people lower prices. That is an extreme customer obsession he’s not just negotiating hard with businesses. He is reinventing the warehouse. He is reinventing supply chains, to figure out how to give lower prices and they’re developing insane technology.
They created their own uber called Amazon flex, which is actually something you can work for as a driver to deliver packages faster, they’re, creating delivery drones to give people packages same-day gue reason Main Street America is failing is because you have store owners, we’re resting on their Laurels who sit there and they’re not obsessed with the customer they’re sitting there, hoping people walk in because they put their shop on the Main Street they’re, hoping that they just can sit in the main store.
They can get good spot in the town and they’ll get customers. Jeff Bezos is extremely customer obsessed and just like Jeff Bezos, you can win too. If you create a website – and you are dedicated to offering an extreme amount of value – let’s say you’re going to teach people how to beginners rock climbing how to start rock climbing right, don’t just rehash the same information. Everybody else gives give tutorials give an equipment list.
Give a cheapo equipment list and give a all in equipment list show diagrams of like what the different things are called show terminology. If this sounds like a really long, you know content piece on your website. It probably is it’s probably 2,000 words. Okay, that’s what a good piece of content is: 2,000 words 1,500 to 2,000 words, so give extreme value, give diagrams make images shoot articles go above, and if you go above and beyond, with whatever content you’re creating you can actually do it for a living.
Okay offer value to people Google’s algorithm, picks it up, YouTube’s, algorithm, picks it up and last but not least, is get rid of the work that you don’t like now. I know I just spoke about. Do what you love? I don’t believe in that. I believe, if you do just what you love, you know, obviously I’d be sitting down: replaying baldur’s gate too, but at the same token, don’t do what you hate. Okay, maybe that maybe that’s my new phrase, don’t do what you hate now, if you hate doing image editing if you hate shooting articles, if you hate trying to design your website, if you hate actually going into your blog and just posting things, you can outsource almost Everything you want, if you even hate writing the articles, maybe just like kind of like concept amout and whatever you can outsource.
Almost anything you want on a site called fiverr.Com it’ll write it down here, fiber with two R’s com, and I also put a link down below it: activates an instant discount on Fiverr. So there’s a link in the description. If you just want to go to Fiverr and you get a discount, but Fiverr is a great site to outsource work for $ 5 $ 5. There’s people all over the world that are willing to go into your site and post content for you to do images to write content for you to shoot articles whatever you need they’re willing to do it so go out there and create your website.
Your website based business – I just showed you how to get three sources of income. You can have Google place ads on your site. You can have affiliate links within your content and you can have a youtube article like this embed it in your website in your post, and you could be making money 3 different ways and if you could become obsessed with offering extreme value to people, if you become Obsessed with going above and beyond and creating a better informational experience for folks you’ll end up winning, so I hope you took something away from this thanks for reading and if you enjoy learning about marketing, if marketing excites you, if making money online excites, you then make Sure you subscribe to the blog hit the notification bell, select all notifications, I do questions and answers sometimes but they’re impromptu.

In particular, I’m going to be talking about their two main slogans: low prices. These aren’t really slogans but they’re they’re, two main promises, low prices and fast shipping.
This has been their core motto from day. One Jeff Bezos has said: customers want lower prices and he realized they want faster shipping and all the company is focused on is purely low prices and fast shipping and they’ve never gone away from that, and one thing you’ll notice is in Amazon’s growth, particularly here in The United States you’ve seen that Amazon has taken their shipping down from days to one day, even same-day shipping on many items, but what’s even more important to understand, is when Amazon says that your product will arrive the next day or the same day is that they Uphold their promises – and they do so spectacularly now, if Amazon had a reputation for promising same-day shipping or next day shipping, but then having that delayed.
You know a couple days: they wouldn’t be a trillion dollar company today and if you remember it’s almost hard in American. Imagine life without Amazon you used to buy products on the internet and you’d have to wait a week or more, maybe even multiple weeks to get a product shipped to your house. It depended on the retailer, all sorts of different types of quality and concerns, but with Amazon they’ve kept it consistent.
They’ve consistently stayed true to their marketing message and they’ve, always under-promise and over-deliver. Sometimes you even get your shipment faster than what they claim so Amazon’s done. A spectacular job of keeping it simple now in order to grow their business in 25 years to a trillion-dollar company. Amazon’s done three things amazingly, and these are three things that you can do in your core business to help yourself grow, whether you are working for yourself or you’re, working a job marketing job at a major company.
First, off they’ve created very simple core benefits: okay, low prices, fast shipping – that’s it they’re, not focused on anything else than these simple core benefits. Another thing, they’ve done amazingly, is their consistency. I’ve been using Amazon for over a decade and over that entire time, they’ve never been late on their shipment. I haven’t ever worried about where something was they’ve been amazingly consistent with their service and their shipments, and the pricing has been cheaper in almost all cases.
I’ve ever looked on Amazon and the third thing is marketing and mission alignment. It’s not just the marketing department that is focused on promoting lower prices and faster shipping. It’s the entire company. It’s the business development team. It’s the technology team, it’s their warehousing. Every part of Amazon’s business is built to give people lower prices. When Amazon was trying to ship things faster, for instance, they realize the only way they could ship things even faster was building their own network of warehouses, and so they did it.
They spent tens and tens of billions of dollars building their own warehouses, and then Amazon realized that sending people walking through long stacks of shelves was a very inefficient way of getting products and getting things in boxes. And in order to move to a system where they could do same-day shipping, they needed to work faster or sorry next day shipping they need to work faster, so they actually innovate.
The whole factory model factory workers don’t actually even walk in Amazon anymore. They get boxes delivered to them, our items delivered to them by one robot and they pull those items off of the one robotic shelf and they place it in a box in the other, robotic shelf, and they do this all day with new, robotic shelves coming in. Every couple seconds there are new, robotic shelves coming in now, if you’ve seen the PBS documentary you’ll, see a number of workers saying that it’s sort of inhumane and the pay isn’t good for the amount of time they work them, but ultimately, Amazon.
Their core mission is lower prices and faster shipping, so they’ve built every step of their business around creating faster shipping and lower prices, and they do not waver from it even in the building of the factories and the automation of their factories. Their development of drone delivery technology, every part of their business is purely built around delivering the customers. These two things now this is a new article format.
For me, if you’ve been following my blog for a while, I haven’t really analyzed big companies marketing, but if this is something you enjoy learning about, and if you wanted me to break down more companies, please make sure you say so below you say you know. Hey guys, I hope that you are doing well. My name is Salim Shamy and for one year I’m doing one YouTube article per day related to SM MA sales negotiations. Just everything related to business – and you know articles that will help you start and grow your social media marketing agency, six figures in 2020. So I hope that you are doing well that you are having an amazing week guys and today I wanted to talk to you about the apps that they use and that I recommend to get your agency to six figures.
So there is no particular order, but it’s just apps that I have in mind and that I love and that I’m using every single day so before to get started guys. Make sure that you get this article a big thumbs up, make sure that you’re subscribed to this blog and whenever you have a question you can follow me on Instagram. Ask me your question there and I will make a article for you answering your questions.
So the first app that I recommend is fully led funeral ilex for the lytics, and I love this app honestly like before, to get a client like before to run a project for clan before to run ads. I’r always with my team doing a funnel if it’s econ, if it’s legion, if it’s you know, cultures or an online course, you need a funnel like what will be. What will be the road from you know, consideration to purchase.
You need to know that and federal ethics is just amazing and it allows me and my team to be on the same page to know which campaigns we will build, which are the metrics just everything alright. So I love these apps and I really recommend you to get it. Basically, you have a felon in mind alright and you just plot it on this app. So now all your team can go on, it can see the matrix and it makes everybody go on the same page and you can even sell your clients this.
You know it can be a marketing blueprint. It can be a strategy that you sell to your grind and honestly, if you’re good at selling, you can price it for 1k 2k, depending on which brand you are talking to. So I really like this app and I really recommend you that when you get a client like before to run any any ads like have the funnel plot and know what you are doing – and you know have a naming convention just have everything on paper so that Before to do something, you have a GPS, you know where you are going, why you are doing something, and I really recommend you this app too to get started like you know, you get started running ads for your clients, then I recommend you Squarespace.
So Squarespace is an amazing app, especially for you know, lead generation. So when you’re building a funnel, you can get also click phone. Also, I’ve tried both and I recommend my clients Squarespace, because it’s like half the price of tick funnel per month and you can basically do the same thing, but with click funnels, it’s really it’s a little bit. You know everybody is on click funnel. So in Squarespace, the design or, in my opinion, better better than click funnels like I prefer the design on you know on Squarespace than on click funnels, and I recommend you this app because it makes you stand out directly got the website the funnel that you can Build for Legion clients is so much better than with click funnels.
In my opinion, I know that quick funnel is number one, but this is a great alternative and also it will. You know for your client its how the price all right. I know that 100 or 50 dollars per month. It’s the same thing right approximatively, but I just love the design. I think that it converts better and there is not in. I think that there is not so much integrations as click funnels or so many you know, features, but you can do like you know from what I’ve tried you can do absolutely the same as click on also.
I recommend you Squarespace, then another app is simple invoice and or paid funnels. Alright, I’ve tried both personal is a little bit. You know it’s costing more than simple invoices, but with simple invoices you can do absolutely the same as a funnel, so I will recommend you guys to if you’re starting to get simple invoices so that you can do you know subscription I’ve done a article on it On my blog, and so that you can get paid directly and basically simple invoice will allow you to autofill your clients and also to to get paid automatically so Auto billing and Auto invoicing, and trust me for $ 10 per month like this will be really saving Your life, because you won’t have to be invoicing your client every single month.
Everything will be just automatic and trust me. It saves a lot of struggle. All of this integrated to stripe all right for payment, just go with stripe. This is secure. This is don’t go with PayPal all right. I had a very bad experience with PayPal where they just block your money. Basically – and this is a struggle, especially if you are taking, if you are in boarding high ticket clients, I would just tell you to go out like don’t use PayPal.
You stripe it’s perfect to put seven days for you to get your money, but you will get it for sure all right, four contracts. I recommend you DocuSign. This is a classic all right! Docusign! You can go on it. You know, put your template, have your send! It talk to your client, your client. Have everything fooled. He just click one button he put his name, so you know last name, he click one button and boom it’s signed.
Then you sign and you’ll have your contracts. You know sign and ready, and then you just have to send in invoice with simple invoice and boom. You can store the project so for the contract again DocuSign. This is great. This is a great tool. The refer to that web resource, the referent a web resource may be, for example, a website web page or web directory. A backlink is a reference comparable to a citation. The quantity and sources of backlinks for a web page are among the factors that Google’s PageRank algorithm evaluates in order to estimate how important the pages the PageRank score is.
In turn, one of the variables that Google search uses to determine how high a web page should go in search results. This weighting of backlinks is analogous to citation analysis of books, scholarly papers and academic journals, some other words for backlink. Our incoming link, inbound link in link in word link and citation search engines often use a number of backlinks that a website has, as one of the most important factors for determining that websites search engine, ranking popularity and importance.
Google’s description of its PageRank system, for instance, notes that Google interprets a link from page a to page B as a vote by page’ for page B. Knowledge of this form of search engine rankings has fueled a portion of the SEO industry commonly termed link spam, where a company attempts to place as many inbound links as possible to their site, regardless of the context of the originating site. The significance of search engine rankings is pretty high and it is regarded as a crucial parameter in online business and the conversion rate of visitors to any website, particularly when it comes to online shopping websites, often employ SEO techniques to increase the number of backlinks pointing to Their website, some methods are free for use by everyone, whereas some like link baiting, require quite a bit of planning and marketing to work.
There are also paid techniques to increase the number of backlinks to a target site. For example, private blog networks can be used to purchase backlinks. There are several factors that determine the value of a backlink backlinks from authoritative sites on a given topic are highly valuable. If both sites of content geared toward the keyword topic, the backlink is considered relevant and believed to have strong influence on the search engine rankings of the web page granted the backlink a backlink represents a favorable editorial vote for the receiving web page from another granting webpage.
Another important factor is the anchor text of the backlink anchor text is the descriptive labeling of the hyperlink, as it appears on a web page search engine BOTS that is spiders, crawlers, etc, examine the anchor text to evaluate how relevant it is to the content on a Web page anchor text and web page content congruence are highly weighted in search. Engine results page serve rankings of a web page with respect to any given keyword.
Query by a search engine user changes to the algorithms that produce search engine rankings can place a heightened focus on relevance to a particular topic. While some backlinks might be from sources containing highly valuable metrics, they could also be unrelated to the consumers query or interest. An example of this would be a link from a popular shoe blog with valuable metrics to a site selling vintage pencil sharpeners.
While the link appears valuable, it provides little to the consumer in terms of relevance.
When you start reading other articles about building an audience growing, an audience, etc, they will tend to focus on tactics such as buying Facebook ads to get people to like your page or guest blogging. You know speaking on podcasts, you know and also search engine optimization, and these are all good tactics and I’ll talk about that later. But the first and most important thing to remember is that you want the right audience.
Don’t you you? Don’t you don’t just because I have seen probably at this point, dozens of clients and colleagues who have built facebook pages of ten now thousands of followers, and almost none of those followers are engaging with their content. You might be saying wow. How can that be? Because it’s easy to get a couple thousand Facebook fans did you know that it’s not hard, you pay about $ 100 and you get a couple thousand Facebook fans.
Would you like to do that? It’s easy! You just start a fan, page click on promote, say I want fans and just advertise to any random audience. You know people in North America, 18 plus and you’ll get a couple thousand fans with just well. Maybe not I don’t know what the pricing is these days. It’s because I don’t do that because it’s fake fans, but it’s not hard. So when you look at people with an audience, please don’t be impressed unless their audience, you can publicly see that the audience is actually engaging with their content and finding benefit from it, etc.
A lot of the audiences out there are are are just what’s called vanity metrics. Have you ever heard that term vanity metrics is numbers that look impressive, but if you look under the hood, if you look at the behind the scenes, you realize. Oh, these aren’t it’s not a real audience. It’s just a lot of visitors to a website or a lot of Facebook fans or a lot of Twitter followers, and this is a real audience.
Member right here, Manko again, I’ve been working all morning here by myself and he has not jumped up and he’s like great I’ve got an audience now, I’m going to show up I’m all about consistency of content, so he’s here and I swear once I turn off The article he jumps off, even though I’m just continuing my work here, he has a very weird sense of how you know how to be on camera. Okay, so you know he’s jumped off all right because it doesn’t like I’m talking about him um.
So please remember that a real audience is what we’re going after a true audience. I call that true fans or a true audience and the you know you have true fans when you can count on them to engage with your content and to take a real look at your product and services when you are offering them okay. And how do you build a true audience? You don’t just use Facebook ads to buy fans or Twitter ads to buy followers, you don’t just do search engine optimization and you don’t just guess blog and all these other things.
These are all tactics, but it has to be under the right strategy and the right strategy is this of true audience: cares about what you’re talking about or writing about, okay or your images or whatever they care about your content, and they care about you right. They are not just a you know: drive by hey, I’m searching online for a solution to a problem. I found your article got the solution and I’m out of there what we all we’ve all done.
This we’ve all been: we’ve all been fake fans to other people and nothing wrong with that. It’s just we’ve all been drive-by fans for other people right because we’re just searching online for something we find the solution. We find an answer and we’re gone. That’s it right, but it’s rare that we find somebody we actually want to follow and keep following, and how does that match happen? That match happens because they are talking about something we care about number one and they’re talking about in the way that we really find resonates with us.
So they’re the content topics matter to us and the style really resonates with us. And thirdly, we feel like they actually care about what they’re doing, rather than trying to put us into a funnel a marketing funnel when you’re in a marketing funnel. You kind of know that oh this market is trying to get me to do this and then get me to do that and get me do this right doesn’t feel good. Doesn’t it doesn’t inspire trust and loyalty? But when you feel like somebody is sharing a message because they really care about their audience and then you notice they care because they engage back with you Wow.
It makes such a difference, and you know you know you become a loyal fan more and more as that happens. So it’s it’s it’s first. The strategy has to be right. The strategy has to be no. No. No, I don’t. I just don’t want numbers, I don’t care about 10,000 Facebook fans, that’s easy! Yet couple hundred bucks 10,000 Facebook fans, the numbers – are easy to get. They really are honestly to look impressive.
It’s really really easy these days, but to have an actual business. It’s not easy to have people actually caring about what you say and then buying your thing. You know and writing reviews that’s not easy and that’s where that’s what we’re really going after here, so okay! So how do we get there? So, as you probably can imagine what I’m about to say, content is king, okay, consistent content is king and consistent distribution is Queen content is king is not something I made up.
That’s well known. Even distribution as Queen is not is not something I made up. That’s well known as well. A lot of people don’t know that. Second part content is King distribution is Queen. Some of you are, some of you aren’t even doing either one you’re not doing content consistently and you’re, certainly not knowing how to distribute your content. So let me talk about this here. Content is king and it needs to be consistent, needs to be authentic and they need to be relevant.
Okay consistent. Why is that important? It’s important, primarily consistency of content is important for you to get better at communicating your content. We all have this fantasy that, just because we think something is good idea and we write about it. Other people will think it’s great content. The reality is that, if you don’t practice, okay, the reality is that, if you’re, not if your contents not going viral, if it’s one, when I see viral, if your content is not being shared or liked or commented on, it’s not that good.
I’ll be honest with you, and I say this to myself too: I have I do. As you know, eight new content pieces every month and probably five out of the eight don’t get much likes or comments compared to my maybe three or four out of the eight people actually do like and want to share forward. But I’m the same person. You know in a single month I don’t grow that much right, but it’s because the topic is right or, like my my my style or a skill of communicating, it was good, but consistency creates skill over time.
You can’t expect to have good content in a month. First month, you’re out of the gate, Wow great content – I mean, if you know, if you’ve, if you’ve been writing for a while or you’ve, been making articles for a while. Then maybe that’s the case that you, you are skillful already, but most of us need to become skillful, writing or making articles right. Consistency grows your skills. I promise you.
If you do something every day, you grow your skills, much faster than someone who’s doing it once a week, if you’re doing it once a week, yours goes faster than someone who’s doing it once a month, so consistency is key to becoming skillful and creating content. That’s people find interesting, okay, so consistency authenticity is going to set you, apart from everybody else, who’s just trying to copy what other people are doing and trying to write for search engines and all that stuff, so authenticity, so so it and the great thing about authenticity Is its longevity? If you’re authentic, you don’t have to pretend, and you just show up and you’re energized, because you you are actually following your passion and your you’re energized from within, rather than only seeking energy from outside, from what other people are saying to you right.
So authenticity creates longevity and longevity, of course, creates true brilliance and skill and quality over time. You can’t expect to be loved when you’re, first starting out the gate, you’re just figuring out, you think you’re, smart you’re, not I’m sorry, I mean okay, you. I should say this: I have a growth mindset rather than a fixed mindset. I don’t believe you are smart or dumb. I believe you can become brilliant.
That’s what I believe. Truly, I think you become. You can become incredibly brilliant and skillful at communicating and and charismatic and amazing, but you don’t start out that way. I don’t care how smart you think you are how good of a writer you think you are unless you’re lucky. You know you don’t start out with fans, people who you start out with silence. You know, hope people okay. So let me talk about this.
There’s there’s content creation in this distribution right, of course, if you use money and use Facebook ads and you’re smart about how to use Facebook ads, most people are not good at Facebook ads and they’re. Like George I’ve tried, Facebook ads doesn’t work, it’s not that it doesn’t work, you don’t know how to use it all right. So if you learn how to use Facebook ads skillfully and you use it to distribute your content, you can actually build a fan base pretty quickly who actually are loyal and actually like your content, that’s what I’m doing with my secret project and almost at a hundred Fans now that’s the second, I’m only in my second month, I’m almost at a hundred true fans, because people who don’t I didn’t ask them to like my page.
I just put – I didn’t – ask them to leave in. Like my post, I just shared honestly. My postings didn’t even ask for any likes or any signups or anything just shared my content. I distribute it out there. It’s a certain audiences in a very skillful way and I’m almost at a hundred fans of my page. They died. They had to manually come to my page. They they saw my content and they had to manually click on my page itself and decide that they want to like it right so anyway, skillful content takes time and then skillful distribution just takes learning.
I have a facebook ads course. You want to learn from me how to distribute your content skillfully, but so consistency of content, authenticity and relevance is the third part. Relevance is basically, as you get to know your audience. You find out what they really really need and want from you. You then tune your content over time to what they need and want. Then that takes time to get to know your audience right, so really the strategy overall, how to build an audience.
George George, please tell me in 10 seconds how to build an audience from scratch. 10 seconds ready content is king distribution is Queen and the content needs to be consistent. Authentic and relevant. Is that 10 seconds it’s about 10 seconds right and the article okay? So that’s the overall strategy. Now, let’s talk about the tactics now and the tactics are basically, it goes like this. What do you do now that you know the strategy is content? Is king distribution is Queen consistency, authenticity, relevance, great 10 seconds strategy.
Now? What do I do? What do I actually do on a daily basis? Okay, paid distribution is, is the first tactic if you have no audience yet, please don’t expect that you’re going to post something on Facebook and somehow people will find it. Please don’t expect that you’re going to just put a blog post up on your website and people will find it. It doesn’t work like that on the internet. It doesn’t work like that.
You’ve got to pay money for people to see it. Okay. So that’s one tactic. I’ll give you several tactics if you have zero money to pay for distribution all I’ll talk about that next, but that I please pray and hope that you will please spend at least a few dollars a month. I mean, if you can. Please spend forty dollars a month on Facebook ads. It will grow your audience so much faster. It will take you a few months instead of a few years.
Would you like to take a few years, or would you like to take a few months to grow a loyal audience $ 40 a month can can can can do that. I’r spending 150 to 300 closer to 300 a month right now on my new project, but you may not have that budget. So please spend $ 30 a month or $ 40 a month and it’ll. Take you a year to build a loyal audience, but it won’t take you 10 years. People who are not using paid advertising is taking a lot longer.
Okay, so paid ads paid distribution, learn how to use Facebook Ads, learn how to use Google I’m going to be teaching Google Ads that later this year, so you can learn from me too on how to do Google Ads. If you like Twitter a lot, you can do Twitter ads. If you love Instagram, you could do Instagram ads, Twitter and Instagram. Ads are much easier, so I don’t teach those courses honestly, they’re really really easy to use, but Facebook ads and Google Ads are not that easy to learn how to use effectively.
So that’s why I teach courses on that. Okay, so paid distribution is the number one tactic. I recommend for you to build an audience from scratch. Please set aside some money every single month for paid distribution. Think of it as your ministry, you know. Do you contribute money to a charity to your church? Can you take some of that charity and should men and money and put it towards your ads for your Facebook? Do you believe in your math? Do you believe your message well will benefit people’s lives just like your church does just like the chair, just like Red Cross or Greenpeace or whatever you want to distribute just like Habitat for Humanity.
Do you believe your content can actually maybe even change lives? Maybe even save lives. Do you believe that? Well, why give to your own charity called your own Facebook Ads your own Google Ads, because you reach people and you changed their lives with your message. It’s probably a better spend of your money, I’m this sounds terrible, but it probably is a better spending me money than putting it towards all of your money towards Habitat for Humanity, which is a worthy organization by the way right so take some of your charity.
Money put it towards your ads, okay, all right and then so paid distribution is one. Are you doing that? Are you doing paid ads for your content not to get people to join your email list, not to sell your stuff for your message for your look at my content on my on my on my you know, I’m not asking people to join my email list or Anything I’m just blessing them with content. Okay, pay distribution.
Doing that. The second one is cross promotion. That’s another tactic that can grow your audience from scratch, and cross promotion is basically if two people have a similar audience and they like each other and they they like. Each other’s content, then, why doesn’t person a promote person B’s best piece of content and person B, promotes person, ace best piece of content, so you reach out to appear, and you say: hey: can we have similar audiences? I really like your content.
Take a look at my content. If you like it here, are my three best pieces. Tell me you know if you, if you like any one of these three best pieces, maybe we can trade a promotion. I will promote one of your best pieces to my audience. So people can find out about you and you could promote one of my best pieces to your audience. So people can find about me. It’s a win-win and generally to trade promotion, means that you and that that person has a similar-sized audience, not the exact same number of Facebook fans, but maybe within several hundred okay with email.
If you have, you know 100 Facebook fans and they have 300 or 500. That’s similar enough, but I have 5,000, don’t approach me if you have 500 right. It’s not it’s not fair right. It’s not fair, but somebody who has 3000 might approach me with 5,000. You know within within right within reasonable range. The promotion could could work right. So I have 5,000 I might reach out to someone with seven or eight thousand or something with two or three thousand.
You know within range right that makes sense so cross-promotion. Please do this. It’s how I grew my audience really fast in the beginning before I knew how to use Facebook Ads. This is ten years ago before, before Facebook Ads really existed. That’s how I greet my audience: the fastest, so cross-promotion, guest blogging and podcast podcasts speaking, there’s another way to grow an audience podcast speaking less so I know some of you like to speak on podcast.
The problem I have a podcast speaking is that people who listen to podcasts are not in the position to join your audience at that time. Think about it! When do you listen to a podcast, you listen to it when you’re driving, you listen to it. When you know I’m listening to it, when I’m walking the dog, I might listen to it when I’m washing the dishes. None of those times are when I am at the computer, ready to join someone’s email list or to like their Facebook page or to go to their website even I’ll.
Listen to a podcast like washing my dishes. Listen, listen! Your podcast or you know, like Oh hiya. That’s a that’s a really wow what an amazing person Wow! I really want to follow that person and then I finish my dishes and then I’m cooking dinner now or whatever I’m doing. I forgotten. I mean this happens. All the time same thing, your podcast listeners, driving the car and then by the time they get home, they’ve forgotten about the guest speaker you had or whatever so podcast speaking in my opinion, is really good to network with the host of the podcast.
I I speak on podcasts on a regular basis, because the host tends to then hire me to become their coach and whatever that works pretty well, but but the audience that unless it’s a really big audience actually, this Sunday, I’m promoting a podcast that I spoke on, That had a pretty big audience and a lot of those folks decided to join my they do. They went to my website and join my email list without any kind of coercion.
They just mentioned you, the podcast, so just mentioned the website. You know that’s it. It was a big enough audience where that worked, but most podcast that you’re going to speak on. Don’t have a giant audience like that. You know they might have a couple hundred or a couple hundred downloads per episode. That’s a tiny, tiny audience, but when it burn a podcast has tens of thousands of downloads per episode.
Now you now that now you actually might build an audience doing that, but anyway, so podcast speaking, not so much but guest blogging for sure can build an audience, meaning somebody who has who wants to create consistent content, but they don’t want to be the one to Always be creating it, you can then step in says, hey I’d, love to write an article for your audience. Obviously, it’ll come from me and I’ll put my bio at the bottom, and people can then shoot me on finally I’ll learn about me on my website.
So guest blogging isn’t much more effective for building an audience than podcast speaking unless you’re speaking to a giant audience on the podcast right, but even even a small, a relatively small guest blog. You know someone somebody who has a couple hundred readers a month. You know you could build a little bit of an audience that way, because guess what, when you’re reading, when they’re reading a blog post, they’re read they’re at the computer or at their at their phone right, they’re reading and by the end of it.
Maybe you mentioned something on a post on your website. You know within when you’re writing a guest blog. I recommend that you try to link to your own website. You know try to link to your website, at least once during the article itself and, of course, in your bio as well right at the bottom and so they’re reading and they’ll click on the link and they’ll go to your website. So so they’re in that, when they’re reading, an article they’re in then they’re in they’re, capable of taking action, go into a website signing up for a newsletter or something right, podcast, listening, not so much right so anyway, on guest blogging, your podcast speaking and then the Last thing I’ll say is SEO search.
Engine optimization is another way of building an audience and the way to do SEO and I’m going to hope. I’r going to teach a whole class on this, but I’ll just be be really really quick about it, and I want to end the article search engine. Optimization first of all is a black box. You have to first realize that Google is not going to tell you what their algorithm everybody is guessing. Just like Facebook does not tell any of us what their algorithm is.
We are all just guessing why? Because if Facebook or Google or any other site, tells us what their algorithm is, guess what if they make it public, you know what happens spammers well. There are very, very smart spam, smart spammers who will then take advantage of the algorithm and then all the links you know all the content will be spam. That’s why all these companies have to make it secret and we are all of us marketers.
All of us are just guessing, did you did you know that we’re just like well based on what we’re finding? Oh, my god, how come this piece of content was so high on the algorithm well compared to all the patterns that I’m seeing it’s probably this every marketer every search engine expert is only guessing, but their guests they’re using educated estimates based on the pattern. Recognition they’ve noticed so based on our guesses.
Our best guesses right now is that Google really cares about other websites linking to your website so search engine. Optimization people used to say well it’s about keywords and it’s about having the keywords in a title of your article. That still does help okay, so you may want to do keywords: research, keyword, research, the simplest tool that I can give you. It’s called keywords everywhere. So keywords everywhere: com go there it’s a free tool, you install it and then, when you, google you’ll start to be able to easily do keyword research just by googling, once the plug-in is installed on your browser.
Ok: keywords everywhere: com, okay, um, I’m not affiliated with them, I’m just a user of their service, so so keywords. So, basically, the way that search engines work is people type in what they’re looking for and Google wants to help them finish their search as fast as possible. Okay. So, if type in what they’re? Looking for and your what your website comes up and Google notices, they click onto your website and they don’t come back to Google Google says that was a success and working that we’re going to reward this website with higher search engine rankings.
In other words, your website helped to terminate the search. Google has done its job, that’s what Google wants to do goes. Is we because, if, if I search for something – and I click on your website – and I’m like now that wasn’t helpful and I go back to Google and I keep searching Google says wow. That website wasn’t helpful, because this person is continuing their search like it’s taking them longer to find what they’re looking for so so they will.
They will downgrade the websites that don’t help them fully. Person has come back to Google and they will upgrade the websites that people don’t come back from because they assume that they have finished. You know, and so that’s one factor – that’s really really big. Another really big factor that Google says well. How do we know? It’s not just a spam website that kept the person there well, we know that, because other people, other websites, are linking to this website using these keywords to link to that.
So, therefore, we know that this website seems to be valuable and respected, because other websites are linking to it. So essentially, SEO is about trying to terminate people searches when they find what they’re looking for. You have to first figure out what people are looking for, which is more keywords, researches and then terminate the search by having such a valuable webpage. It’s like! Oh I’m looking for buh, bah blah and when I went to your page, your blog article talking about it or your page talking about it, was so valuable that I just decided to stay there.
I didn’t go back to Google, I just it was so great. It was so helpful, so is resourceful. That’s all I needed right. So that’s why content is king right. That’s why content is king because they’re like if the content isn’t good people don’t care and they go. They don’t link to it. They don’t come. They come back to Google, they keep going and then and then the second major factor, like I said, is backlinks right, which is basically going out to various bloggers and various websites and say: hey I’ve written a really, really valuable article.
Here I thought maybe your audience would benefit if you decide it’s valuable I’d, be grateful and if you were to link to it so that it’s that kind of work right, it’s its keywords: research, its modifying your article to meet the keywords. It’s not so much the words anymore. It’s the topic! It’s the idea, Google’s smart enough! Now that you don’t have to use the exact words anymore, but if you’re writing about that topic, and it’s really valuable, then then they will bump it up in the search engines.
Right so and then the people are linking to it, they’ll bump it up so anyway, um so to summarize, okay, you first have to get the overall strategy right, or maybe it’s even values, right focus on content content is king distribution is Queen if you have content, But you’re not using any distribution methods, get it out there. No one will ever see it. Even then, this is the most valuable article in the world right.
Nobody knows about it right, so content is king, yes, but the distribution is clean, equally important right and the contents got to be consistent for your own skills. Really it’s really more for young skills, but also for your audience needs to be able to count on. You. Remember an audience a true audiences, we’re looking for a true audience says. You know what I feel like an count on you. I can always count on you to come back and you have got new and fresh and valuable content for me.
So consistency is for your own skill building and for your audience’s reliability on you, okay, trust in you, authenticity, so that you can be long. You can have longevity, you don’t burnout authenticity, you show up as you are, so you don’t burn now. You don’t pretend to be anybody else. You don’t have to put on makeup. If you don’t like to put on makeup so talk about women here, some of you do like to put on makeup.
You enjoy it, it’s fun for you great, then. That’s part of your authenticity, but if you hate putting on makeup you’re like doing it just for the article, it’s not long, it’s not sustainable for you to do that, so stop doing it. People will love you anyway without makeup. Believe it or not. Your true fans love you. If you don’t again, if you don’t love putting on makeup, don’t put on makeup, your true fans will love you anyway, okay, hopefully I’m just giving you some of you women permissions to be yourself.
However, that means for you right authenticity in them and then relevance, learn about your audience over time. Make more content for what their wants and needs are matched with what yours are as well: okay, overall strategy and then tactics paid advertising, pay, tribution, cross promotion, guest blogging and search engine optimization. So those are the four key tactics for for growing an audience.
Once you get the strategy right so anyway, I hope this is valuable and helpful and let me know if you have any questions want to thank some of you who were able to join me live I see captain and Alejandra. Thank you. So much. Let’s see here, kappa honda wrote yeah, let’s see here what the hell, how long to wrote that something I notice is that the response I gift from my spanish-speaking audience is way richer and more active than the english speaking.
I may have to do with the fact that the english-speaking world there are many more people, teaching what I teach versus the spanish-speaking world that is not saturated. That definitely has something to do with it. Yes, so that certainly in other words, it’s it’s less cost for you to distribute your content to the spanish-speaking world right. It’s just versus you’re, competing with many more english-speaking folks, so Alejandro says, which would appreciate how to engage is speaking English being on so Alejandra.
The one thing I would say is this: you have to practice, I’m not saying it’s you, but I’m just saying that what the evidence is showing is that your English speaking audience doesn’t find your communication compelling enough yet interesting enough. So the the homework for you is to keep practicing different ways of communicating your message and noticing, observing which pieces resonate with them and noticing the patterns over time, o of all the things I talked about, these two or three things really resonate with my english-speaking audience.
Then say more about those things, so visibility, observation and then modifying your content. Based on your observations right, that’s really the thing for all of us to do, but so I’m not talking about you not being skillful, I’m saying all of us can become more skillful right. Captain thanks for your comment, says I recently joined a couple of Facebook groups made up primarily a fellow bloggers trying to help each other get engagement for their content, so, yes cross promotion right with them.
I jumped from page five from five page likes 121 right now. So the question is: this is a good strategy. I understand that not all of them are true fans, but I feel like I’m getting starting a feedback from people. What do you think yeah yeah cross promotion? That’s what we’re talking about here. So, however, you can brilliant. You know thank you for mentioning in facebook groups joining Facebook groups of peers.
You can find people to cross-promote with so. Yes, no, I think it’s, I think it’s a fine idea, but whether or not they’re true fans, it’s yeah. It’s yeah. I think you have to balance it. It’s true. I mean you, don’t want overtime, you know you don’t want a bunch of people who just are fella bloggers who are just trying to support you being nice. It’s kind of like that’s. Why I don’t invite my friends and family to like my fan pages on Facebook, or I don’t send my blog post to my friends and family cuz they’ll go right back, so I’m proud of you great way to go but they’re not true.
My true fan, I mean a few of them – might be a few of them might actually be seeking on my content, but most of them are just being nice, so you don’t want people just to be nice to you. That’s my that’s the thing to balance. Are they just being nice or are they genuinely like interested in your content? Those are the true fans that you want, because the ones who are being nice – that’s, not sustainable, and that’s us you’re going to work against you over time, because the algorithms also say based on how many people you’re reaching how many of them are engaging.
You want a bigger percentage of those you’re reaching engaging with your content for the algorithm that say. Oh, this must be valuable because, let’s say you have a 10,000 person, Facebook fan page and only ten people like your posts, the algorithm says: well, this person must have crappy content because out of 10,000 people, only 10 people like their post, so it works against you When you have fake fans, that’s on the irony of it.
That’s the that’s why we have to be really careful to build the true audience right, so you just you know, balance it out. If it’s a true cross-promotion with a with a real audience of people who might like your stuff, then I think it’s a good idea. So I hope this is helpful and Ian thanks for joining and saying hi and Jill as well. So thanks everybody, I have a great. I hope I wish you a joyful experience and consistency in your joy.
Coming back to the reason why you’re doing this is to serve people and to become a better person to grow, your known skills keep coming back to your purpose so that you can be truly sustainable in your audience building. You will take care of any questions. Let me know:
Okay, so how do I know insurance marketing tips that you? I know you want to know? Well, all we do is insurance marketing, so I’m Melana McCarter, the president and founder co-founder of secure agent marketing. All we do is insurance marketing, lead development. Everything we’re one of the you know largest in the country that specialize only in insurance.
So what I want to do is break down five important tips. The reason I picked these five is because, no matter how large or small, how new or old most people that I talk to are missing one of these five tips. Typically, you know you would be surprised. Even large companies don’t have some of these things in order. So the first thing that I want to go through is make sure that you pay attention and build your brand okay.
What do I mean by that? Well, people work with brands and people like you have got to make sure that your identity is passed through your materials, your you know. If you have a presentation, folder your business card, your website, your social media profiles, you have to have that brand developed. There really needs to be a strong brand presence. You need to think through that. What do you want people to feel whenever they, you know, go to your website? What do you want them to think when they go to your website? Do you want to present yourself as buttoned up professional, you know executive or do you want to be casual? You know fun and you know friendly or do you want to be educational or you got to think through that and all those things come through and your brand right so there’s nothing more important when it comes to brand development, then your logo, okay, logos, are not That hard to create you can have your friend do it.
You can do it on your with, with yourself in Photoshop, there’s plenty of free tools that you can use to throw up a logo. You can even go to Fiverr and have somebody throw up a logo for 5. 10. 15. 20 bucks. The main thing that you want to do is make sure that you’ve defined that logo and you put that logo on your business card. Your shirt, your website, everything it needs to be consistent. I can’t tell you how many insurance professionals I see, with 14 different logos between every interaction that I have with them.
They got their logo and there’s email signatures different than the one that’s on their website. That’s different from one of their t-shirt: okay, don’t be sloppy your brand, it really presents you are, and in the insurance business, it’s all about being a professional and driving confidence and then other individual that you’re talking to to potentially work with and having inconsistencies on a Subconscious level it does mess with your buying process.
It’s it’s like having a messy storefront if you were to walk into a storefront another thing that is super important when you’re talking about building your brand is developing. What’s called like a brand board now, a lot of you maybe haven’t heard of a brand board or know what that is what a brand board is in the marketing industry. Creating a brand board is basically one document that is essentially everything that has to do with your brand’s.
So if you have a web developer or a person doing a postcard for you or a person, doing a letterhead for you or a person doing some type of customer appreciation, postcard or email or website or whatever you have one place, that all of your brand key Components are, and so that that designer or marketing professional can then make sure that they’re, not using you, know different logos or different fonts or different colors, you know being off just a little bit, you know is actually a mistake.
So what a brand board is? Is it has your logo and your different variations of your logo? What’s your logo, look like on a white background? What’s it look like on a back background? What does it look like transparent, so you can put on a t-shirt. You got to think through all those things, so the next thing that a brand board has is your font. What is the actual font of your website of your letterhead of everything, a designer needs to know those things also, what’s the color scheme, what are the actual colors that I was to go, look and represent on you know if I was to put one color the Same color on your postcard that you’re just mailing versus your website versus your t-shirts or whatever, that is what’s the actual color number, but that individual needs to know to look it up whenever they’re doing their designing right.
You also going to have textures and images. I’r going to show you an example of our brand board, we’re going through sort of a rebranding process. That’s the curation marketing I’ll show you our branding board right now. If you look it, we have all those L all right so step. Number two: is you want to make sure that you want to implement that brand into your website? Well, if you’ve created a excellent brand board, then it’s really easy to you know if that brand board as a designer, it’s really easy to look at that brand board and then build a website that matches that brand board very easily, because it’s got your logo.
It’s got your color scheme, it’s got your shape. It’s got your images. It’s really easy for a marketing professional to actually build your website. That also is cheaper for you. It shaves off hours of revisions that you’re going to go through because well I don’t necessarily like that, but I didn’t really know why. I don’t like that. I just don’t like it. Well, all that’s solved if you have a brand consistency set and if your web developer comes back with a idea, that’s completely different than your brand.
You could be like no, no, no look. Look at my brand board like what are you talking about? Why would I like purple my color scheme? Is that purple see see here’s my brand right? That’s super important. So your website is what I would say. Like your digital, you know a handshake. So what happens in the insurance? A lot of insurance is done over the phone. A lot of insurance is done. You know there you’re letting people in your home you’re talking you’re, giving your credit card number you’re, giving your you know.
Bank account information, sometimes over the phone to people that are coming to your home. It is super super important that your website is put together. Crisp clean, you know, communicates who you are etc right, it’s really very, very important and moving into 2020, because we, you know the industry is moving towards a digital path where you know we’re not as likely likely to put this way. The trend in insurance marketing is being done more and more over the phone.
So therefore, I’m not having the opportunity to show up in my nice car with my nice suit or whatever you need to have a nice website. That explains who you are that people can trust you right so now, whenever you are talking about your actual website, make sure that you have your main pages built out and you’re really. You know communicating extremely clearly on what you do and who your target audience is cetera.
Okay, so what I mean by that is you want to make sure that all of your pages across your top of your website are broken out so like for an example, you want to have an about us, you know section, you won’t have a page for each Of your main services that you offer so, if you offer, for instance, final expense, insurance, Medicare and Medicare supplement, you want three different. Particular you know pages in your website that talks about those particular verticals and educates to that particular audience, because the person that’s interested in med sup is not the same person, that’s interesting, final expense and the person.
That’s interested in final expense is not the same person. That’s interested in term life, so you want to make sure that you don’t just have one page on your website that talks all about insurance services we offer and then as bullet points or whatever each major service that you have you want to have it have its Own page, all right, you also want to have a testimonials page and then, most importantly, you want to have a blog feed write that blog feeds we’re going to circle back more to later, but that blog feed is super important, because that’s how you create content, you Educate your customers, you actually get a lot of organic website traffic by blogging.
We’re going to get into that here in a little bit step. Number three: okay is going to be set up. Your social media profiles consistent with your brand board and your website. They all the main social media profiles. You know in LinkedIn, Instagram Facebook. They all have an opportunity to design your logo. There’s a header image. You can make that design. Look exactly like your website! You want your website to match your brand and your social media profiles to match your web.
Your website, your social media profiles, are seen as the personality of your digital presence. Your website is like the information. The social media is your personality: okay, whenever you’re doing insurance, business and the insurance industry, we are people, it’s relationships, it’s referrals. Okay, if I believe, or not, like your social media presence, actually matters in insurance. If you you’re in the fear in the insurance industry, you know that there’s a lot of influencers.
In fact, you know Cody Asche is my business partner, built his entire. You know empire on social media, digital marketing, etc. It’s because you took that very serious. When you look at his youtube, header looks exactly like his facebook header looks exactly like his website and it’s all and consistent. That’s not an accident okay, so you know you want to make sure also you’re leveraging those social platforms.
There’s tools that can allow you to schedule posts out. It is important if you’re a producer to have. You know three to four to five potential website posts per week, we’re going to get into how to actually do that here in a little bit. But it’s easy. If you just schedule it, so, if you create some content, just think for 10 minutes on what’s coming up this week, what’s the holiday whatever it is and then schedule out those posts so that you can, then you know not have to do it every day.
Just handle it on Monday morning you got all your post scheduled Poti was scheduled for the month for all that matters right. So that’s a tool that you can actually leverage to not make. It seem overbearing to manage a social media profile. You can schedule. Those point number four for insurance marketing tips. Working right now is you’re going to create some lead development activities. Okay. Now? What do I mean by lead development activities? Well, in the insurance business, you have to actually get people to talk to to be able to make money.
Your lead development is a direct correlation. How much money that you make? Okay, well, digital marketing and social media is extremely powerful to generate leads. You can do it through paid methods on social media. You can do it through organic methods, on social media and content. I’r going to touch on both the first thing you can do is build out. You know marketing campaigns with social media.
We obviously do this for a lot of our customers, so just as an example, if you’re selling, you know statewide, Medicare or statewide, you know final expense. We can be generating leads for five six, seven, eight, nine bucks, apiece per lead of people that are talking to you – can even get down to as small as a zip code to drive those campaigns. Now, if this is all intimidating to you, then you can work with a professional to make sure they’re not blowing through budget, because one thing that will happen is if you’re not super comfortable, is you will waste a lot of money? If you don’t know what you’re doing to try and learn, so we would love to help you with that.
Another thing you can do is organic activity. That constraint leads so that be making social posts. You know that would be creating content on your blog, we’re going to get into that next and just overall creating content and educating users creating articles, doing blogs, just creating sort of content that is built to educate and is built to get the individual to engage with Your content and educate tip number five is produce consistent content.
Now, a good content strategy is really not that hard. You just have to think about it. Okay, so here’s a content strategy that I would recommend this is going to help you with your organic lead, generating activities he’s going to help you with your referrals, it’s going to help you with just becoming an expert in the industry as well. So all you have to do is come up with four blog topics per month.
Okay, that’s not that many release one a week. It needs to be about 400 to 600 words all right once you create that blog topic go and write the actual blog posts. You know for 600 words and then create a vlog, whether it’s on your cell phone or a camera or whatever, and create a YouTube article. That’s talking about the same topic and embed that YouTube article in your blog. Okay, then take that blog content and blog content.
Chop it into five smaller pieces. Maybe it’s just points or highlights of the actual content, whatever it is, and then post those five smaller pieces on your social media platforms throughout the week right then email, the actual blog content to your actual user database as well driving them to more content. To read from your site so that way: you’re covering your social, your blogging, your email, marketing and everything that has to do with content marketing.
It’s not that hard to come up with four blog contents per month and write. You know 1800 words or whatever produce some articles only if do this once a month. You can knock that out in one day and you’d be surprised how many organic referrals you get organic website traffic. You get if it’s all structured the right way and I would just highly highly recommend creating a content strategy, because people work with the people that educate them now.
What I want you to do is make sure that you understand that if you have any problems with implementing any of this, we would love to help you so create your marketing is built to help any of the five. But I will also tell you you also don’t have to pay a professional for any of those five as well. Those are all things that you can do for free. So, if you’re on a budget, do it yourself and get a professional later if you have one to invest in your business, if you feel weak on one of those, five then reach out to us and love to do a consultation with you.
I’r talking about that actual particular project that you’re talking about and help you create your brand board or help create your website or help it create your lead, generating activity. I hope you create your blog content or article content, whatever we do. All of that. As a part of our services, so if you guys found value of these five insurance marketing tips working right now, and we will talk to you, hey guys.
If you enjoyed that article, which I know you did go check out, two of other articles, ones, demystifying search, engine, optimization and the other ones managing online reviews, I hope to see you guys over there.
So in this article, I’m going to show you step by step, how we use cold emails to get clients and grow our business hey, what’s up its Sean Anthony and if you were an entrepreneur looking to level up your business, your skills and your income make sure You head below right now hit that subscribe button and I post articles just like this: every Tuesday and Thursday.
So in this article, you’re going to learn how we use cold emails to get clients and grow our business by pretty much spending zero dollars and zero risk right. So the way that cold emailing works, the sales process is step number one. We create an ideal client profile right. We need to answer the question: who are we targeting? Who are we reaching out to right? We need to know the exact industry, the decision maker that were reaching out to how bigger these companies.
This is going to give us a real, clear picture and allow us to create a message that converts right. So that’s step number one is to create an ideal client profile step. Number two: is we need to create a list of prospects who fit that ideal and profile? So, let’s just say that we’re targeting home remodeling companies with 10 to 20 employees who are in California or who are in Washington or something right.
We need to know exactly who we’re targeting and once. We know that we can create a list of prospects who fit that criteria right. So that’s that number two is to create a list of prospects who fit that ICP step. Number three is to create a messaging sequence: a cold email, messaging sequence designed to generate appointments right. So we have. We usually have three to four messages that go out, so we have the main message that goes out, and then we have three two to three follow-up cycle after that right now.
The goal of these emails is to generate an appointment. It’s not to get a sale on the spot right, we’re nuts we’re not sending someone a link to buy now we’re sending them an email, we’re asking them if they want to get on the phone to learn more about what we have to offer right. So that’s step. Number three is to create a messaging sequence of cold email, messaging sequence. That’s designed to generate appointments and then step number four is once you generate the appointment right once you send these out you’re going to have percentage of those prospects, say yes, they’re going to raise their hand and say yes, I’m interested in learning more you’re going to Hop on the phone with those people down the phone with them and close the deal right for your service.
So we’re going to go over steps 1 through 3. How to set all that up, create your ICP, create a list of audio prospects who fit that ICP and then also how to create a messaging sequence, called email, messaging sequence and the tools that we used to do that. Okay. So, let’s jump into my computer right now, alright! So I’m in the computer now and I’m going to walk you through real quickly again the four-step process on how we use cold emails to get new clients and grow our business without spending money on ads and all that stuff right.
So first off arena cover steps. Steps one through three step, four will be in a separate article right. This is that that’s the actual sales portion of things but step one is to create an ICP, and I do plan profile to know who you’re going to be targeting right. No, exactly we’re going to be targeting step. Number two is to create a list of people who fit your ICP who fit the criteria right and step.
Number three is once you’ve created a list. You need to create a messaging sequence to go to those people on that list to generate an appointment right and it’s not to get a sale. It’s not to send them a link to buy now it’s to get them on the phone. So you can close the deal on the phone right, which is step number four, which is to pH get on the phone and close the deal right. So this is the exact process that we use, I’m going to cover steps 1 through 3 in this article right.
How to create an ICP, how to get the list, the tools that we use and then how to create a messaging sequence and then automate the sending of that right. So, let’s jump right into it. So I have this little Google sheet here, and this is actually what we use when we’re setting up a cold email campaign. This is a simple google sheet right. This is all you need now. What I want you to do first, is create something that says just create a tab that says ICP right and what the ICP is again ideal, client profile and you this is actually what we use when we first started growth response right, so you should know the Industries that you’re targeting what are their industries well we’re targeting computer software, internet and information technology, and these are this – is from LinkedIn right these these industry titles.
Where are they located? What’s the geography well they’re, located in the USA in Europe in Australia, we actually just started with the USA, though just to keep it simple, and that was a big enough pool for us. The target company size. How big are these companies, so we actually started with 11 to 50 employees? Okay, so how many employees are in these companies? I recommend you stick under 50 employees.
If you’re brand new, the bigger up you go, the harder or the longer the sales cycle is right. So you want to target the small business size, people who are in that, like 11 to 50, employee range, okay, job titles, who are you targeting? Well, we mostly started with founder level, but we also were targeting once we went through founders, we’re also targeting C CEOs. Chi, Sigma Chi chief executive officers and CMOS chief marketing officers right.
These are all people who can benefit or want to have a conversation about our service right. So we, these are all the titles for you. It’s most likely going to be like the business owner right or like if you’re targeting like medical practices. It would be like a dentist or like a I don’t know like oh, oh optometrists or whatever they call those things so there’s whatever you’re targeting you want to list the job titles here right, and you also want to have the pain points and the problems and, If you don’t know this, you need to research it okay, because this is going to be important for your messaging.
So what were the pain points and problems of our market of the these SAS companies? Well, first of all, I didn’t they’re not generating enough high-quality leads. Second, they’re spending too much time on prospecting and data research tests right we were taught we were doing research on platforms like kora and seeing what people were asking in our market and a lot of them were saying. Oh, I spent way too too much time too much hours on prospecting and building lists right.
So we added that to the pain points. Also, we were seeing that a lot of founders. They were just starting their companies or they’re just getting going and they didn’t have the time or the budget to spend on building like a large sales team. So then, one of the fast results they wanted to get leads coming in now they didn’t want to wait months and months to do that. Okay, so what do we? What are we offering? What are you actually what’s your service that you’re offering to the market to help them solve these pain points and problems right? We were offering done for your LinkedIn prospecting right, we’re generating leads through outbound and LinkedIn.
Messages now found connection requests, okay and expect the results. You should know this so if you’re doing like a drop servicing business, how you get this is you go to you find a white label provider or freelancer? And you ask them these questions right. You look for the service, what’s included in the service. What are the expected results from their clients right, and you can leverage that information to fill this in here? Okay, so this doesn’t need to be all you.
Do you want to find a white label provider? You can ask them: what’s the expected results, if I give you clients for it for this service right now, the benefits of eight to twelve appointments and well, why do they want appointments a month or extra appointment? Well, it saves time for their sales team, because that’s what the sales team is doing is jet is trying to generate appointments do prospecting, so it saves time for them.
It also saves money and time and resources on training right, so they don’t have to train their team and spend months three four months: training their team on how to use LinkedIn or how to prospect in general. They can get going right away right and then also they get more high. Quality leads and appointments every month to help them increase sales and that’s what they want right. So you can. You can see it’s the inverse of all these things here.
Okay, so keep it simple. Do some research, if you don’t know these things, but don’t this should take no longer than like a few hours or like a day to do? Okay at max so once you’ve done, this you’ve created your step, one right: we’ve we’ve done this cross that out we’re going to go to step two build your prospect list. Okay, now there’s a lot of different ways that you can do this, but what I’ll show you the different places that we use right? We use find that lead and that’s for, if we’re targeting like b2b, like soft b2b, SAS companies or like tech, tech companies and all that stuff, when we’re targeting b2b we’re going to use, find that leak and they source their in, I think they source their data From LinkedIn, that’s why we use that if we want very specific businesses that have very specific attributes, we use up work.
So let’s just say that we want to target only medical spas. Who are you who offer CoolSculpting, which is a certain type of procedure right. We if we want a very specific business that offers a very specific service like that, we’ll hire someone on up work for like $ 300 or so to create a targeted list of those prospects that fit that criteria. If we’re targeting local businesses right, you can use something called d7 lead finder, and this is very good for, like those local brick-and-mortar stores and local businesses in general right.
So these are the different places that we use for the most part. You can also just go on Google if you want to save money, because these all cost money to use like no more than like 50 bucks a month or so. But if you don’t want to do that, you can always just manually, go to websites and find emails that way. Okay, but these are the places that we use so for this training. For this article, I’m going to show you how easy that lead com.
Okay, so I’m going to jump into this tool here and find that Lee again is: we use it mainly for a bead to be right for targeting like agencies and other freelancers and information technology companies and SAS companies. We use find that lead. So what you want to do is I’m going to show you why your ICP is so important here, you’re going to click, start new list and here’s how I name it. You just want to make it easy to identify right.
So I’m just going to do this! Software 11 to 50 employees, USA, founder okay. So now I know exactly when I look at this list who is in this list right? You want to be able to identify that where they located where it’s going to be United States. Job title is the founder and Industry, computer software, Internet’s information technology, all right and then 1150 employees. So now what do we see here? We have two thousand nine hundred people who fit this criteria and we grab this criteria directly from our ICP right.
So we have the industry, is the geography, the company size and the job titles right now the pain points and problems these these things are going to be using the actual messaging, but you can see here now what we have. We can just click generate list here and I’m not going to do this right now, because I’m not trying to use credits on this, but if we call generate list it’s going to search for the best prospects who fit that criteria, then we click generate emails.
Here. We click FTL servers and this is going to create a list and grab the emails of all the people on this list. Okay, now what this looks like – and I just I’ll just – I just already imported a completed list here right. I just imported this, but I got this. What this looks like is, if we click on prospector, again see current. If I click export CSV, it’s going to allow you to export only the correct emails right that I have a hundred percent accuracy.
That’s what you want! So you, like you, don’t get like bounced emails and all that stuff right. So once your list is done exporting or done grabbing the emails, you can export it and you can export only the correct email so that you don’t have delivery issues and then you’re going to have a CSV. That looks just like this okay and it has their first name, their last name, their position, their company website, industry, company size location, their LinkedIn profile, their email, and I’m just going to delete this stuff because we know correct.
We exported only the correct emails, so I delete this. This is all the information that we need for the most part right. So what I’m going to do is copy this. You would copy this. I would copy it it to this sheet here to their first name. I would copy this into their last name. You don’t have to do it like this. This is just the way that I do it or you can just copy the whole sheet. I’r just show you an example of how we, how we have our virtual assistants do this oops title company and the reason we need this information is because we’re going to import it into a separate tool to automate the sending of these emails right.
So we have this now we have I’m just going to do find that lead okay. So what do we have here? We have a list of first name – last name company, title email address and the source of where we got them from find out lead com, and we have a list of people who fit our ICP or ideal client profile. We have a list of people, we can send emails to right. So that’s step number two. We just did list creation right now.
Step number three is to create a messaging sequence. That’s designed to generate appointments. So I have this tab here. There’s a lot of different messaging differences and variations that we test with right. What I’m going to tell you now is you cannot just copy and paste this and expect it to work all the time and then complain like. Oh those are work, I’m not getting appointments. I’r not getting sales, I’m not getting clients, you need to test things on your own and learn to just experiment right.
So what I’m giving you here is something that’s worked very well for us, that’s been very effective for us. That does not mean if you copy and paste it that you’re going to get the same results right. So that’s just not the way things work, I’m going to show you what we use. One of the sequences that we use. We use many different variations depending on who we’re targeting, but this is a very simple one that we use: okay, so the breakdown of every cold email.
You have a subject line, we have the intro, we have the big promise and then we have like a proof element right and if you don’t have proof you again, if you’re a drop servicing business and you have a white label provider leverage their proof leverage their Testimonials on their social proof right and then we have a call to action. We also have, if you have some kind of authority content like a guide or a white paper, you can add some kind of PS line with that that builds credibility and authority right.
So here’s an example here and here’s just some subject lines here – that we use we use again tons of different ones that we split test with you have to split test on your own. I can’t tell you what the best subject line is, but here’s a simple one subject line Shawna found you on LinkedIn and this would be the person’s name right, so this gets their attention and then it shows where you found them right.
This seems to this seems to work well because people want to know. Oh, this guy found me on a social media platform. What is yet to say, okay, so you want to get them to open the email. You want to make sure that you’re not saying anything like free offer inside right, those don’t work. You want to make sure it’s just like casual and something you would kind of send to a friend or someone that, like like a colleague, you just met right.
So Sean funny on LinkedIn intro, I came across your profile on LinkedIn and, given your background thought it made sense to reach out big promise. We have a done-for-you LinkedIn prospecting service for b2b SAS companies that can help. You generate eight to twelve more demos every month. Without wasting your sales reps time on prospecting, proof, we’ve helped similar companies like a B and C to automate their lead generation and book eight to twelve more sales appointments per month, which has helped to increase sales.
Is this something you need help with right? So the call to action we want to get them to say yes or say no right, they say no, we remove them from our list if they say yes, we set up a time to chat with them. Okay, so the PS line. We have a LinkedIn guide that we send out, so you just say: PS. Here’s a guide: we’ve created them, how to help SAS companies generate more appointments using LinkedIn. Okay.
Now, if I go back to my ICP tab here, you can see why these are so important. We play on the pain points and the expected the results of our service right. You want to make sure that you have these things in your email. Okay. So if we go back here once we send this first email, you’re going to have most people are not going to respond to that first email. So what we want to do is follow up right. So three to four days after that, first email and the tool I’m going to show you automate this.
We want to send a second email, and this is just the kind of bump bump the loop, the last email to the top. A lot of people don’t have time to respond right away, or maybe they just didn’t see it and what we say is hey. First name or hey Sean just quickly, following up on the email I sent a few days ago, any thoughts on that are done for your Linkedin prospecting service can help. You generate more leads without spending hours every day on prospecting, a data research task.
Would it be useful? The call to action is what it’d be useful to have a quick conversation on how we might be able to help you write, so you can see again very short and to the point and value-driven like how we can help them white. What’s in it for them, why should they care right? So if they care about generating more leads and they’re, not using LinkedIn – and they are spending way too much time on prospecting and data research tasks, they’re going to want to respond to at least hear us out right and again notice – we’re not pitching them right away.
We’re not selling them we’re sending them a bye link, we’re asking them to get on the phone, and so we can talk to them. Learn about their business, learn if it’s a fit, and then we can offer them an opportunity to work with us. If it does sound like it’s a fit okay, so the last message: email three: if they still don’t respond, we send one more email after a week and we might just say something like hey: first name, I’ve reached out a couple times.
I didn’t hear back and I realize I may have jumped the gun, my intent, my intent is not to be a pain, so there’s going to be my last follow-up, but if you’re open to connect about generating more leads on LinkedIn, please hit reply to. Let me know either way. I wish you all the best right, so you can see a really soft, just like like a an exit email. I guess I don’t know what to call it like us: a send off email, right, you’re, going to have a portion of people who respond to this, and, like oh sorry about that, I actually meant to respond, but I forgot about it right.
So I can’t remember what the exact statistic is, but it’s something like it takes 8 to 12 touch points before someone responds or someone becomes a buyer right. So you want to make sure this. The reason why we follow up – and this is why we use a lot of platforms like LinkedIn and cold email and Facebook and Instagram – is because it takes a lot of touch points to get on someone’s radar. If they’ve never heard about you before right.
So we follow up, you know through two to three different times and our goal is still to get them on the phone with us right. So if they don’t, if they don’t respond to this, then we stop contact again contacting them. After this, we don’t keep on following up like like to eight to ten different times, email, because that will piss them off and will mark you as spam. But you can see here it’s just very short to the to the point sweet value-driven like.
Why? Should they care? Why should they want to get on the phone with us right, but that is our process here right, so we just did this creating a message sequence. What do we actually use to automate the sending? There are a lot of different tools out there that you can use, but one of the ones that we use is called mail shake, and I believe this is like 20 30 bucks a month now and what this does is once you’ve created your messaging sequence here.
Right, you can go into mail shake, you. Can click create a campaign, I’m just going to leave it as this I’m going to click Next, you can import your lists. I’r just going to go here just to a test list here and then you can import like the email address and their name click Next. Okay! So now everything imported. I skipped it a bit because I didn’t want you to wait now. All you have to do is plug and play right.
So we have here. We have our subject line right and you want to make sure that this does first name or their name or whatever it is. This name found you think then okay and then we’re just going to copy our our email right. So we go name okay, they sit out a bit okay, so you can see here we have our exact email from our sheet. We just copied and pasted it into here and then we can add the follow-up.
So I’m not I’m not going to waste your time and do all this, but you just set the amount of days you have the the actual subject line of the email you copy and paste the text into here and then, when you’re done, you just click Next Oops next, then, you click Next again and you schedule the actual email right. This is going to take a while because I think it’s going to prep the campaign right, but you can see here.
Oh here we go so you can see hi okay, but it personalizes it to their name. You can have the follow-ups go X, amount of days after that automatically if they don’t respond, and then it has the exact messaging sequence that you created in the last step. Right, so this is step by step. This is how we use cold email to get new clients and grow our business without ads and without complex sales funnels and all that stuff right.
Cold email is still one of our best blogs for client generation, new client generation. Right because it’s predictable, it’s measurable, we can do it every single day. It doesn’t cost much like other than that, like the tools that we pay a little amount for every single month, but we covered the ICP we’ve covered, creating a list that fits your ICP. We covered creating a messaging sequence and I all should also showed you the tools that we use right.
I actually work with. This is actually what we run as a service. We actually do cold emailing for people in our agency right, so this you can take this and run with it. Obviously you have to experiment with a different messaging here right, but this is our step-by-step guide. This is exactly how we send cold emails and set everything up to send cold emails and get clients for our business all right.
