How To Run A Facebook Ad Campaign For Small Businesses – Complete Facebook Ad Tutorial

So my goal here is to give you a complete Facebook ad Tutorial, so if you’re brand new to Facebook ads and you’re kind of like hi, I just don’t really know how to go through and set these up where you’ve heard kind of mixed opinions, Whether Facebook Ads work or they don’t work, I want to kind of break down those barriers.

Show you guys, maybe why they haven’t, worked and show you guys how to actually make those work. So I’ve worked with now over the last 18 months or so. I’ve worked with over 3,000 small business owners, primarily working with real estate agents, mortgage brokers and other local business owners, and also in the last 18 months, I’ve been able to go through and generate 1.5 million dollars in revenue strictly from Facebook Ads.

So guys, If you kind of heard like mixed opinions and reviews and all that stuff, like I don’t know if they really work or not work And all that good stuff, They work, They work amazingly. Well, You just kind of have to have the right person to break it down and explain it to you. So I hope that I’m that right person today, and also if you guys, want my free at Facebook Ads mini course. It’s a $ 97 value.

All you got to do is drop a comment down below and also, if you don’t mind, give this article a thumbs up If you’re brand new here my name is Jason Wardrop. I specialize in lead generation Going through and growing your business marking your business online, so make sure you got you guys subscribe to the blog where we launch new articles every single week. Helping you go through and Generate more leads grow, your business and all that good stuff.

So you guys do want that Facebook as mini-course drop a comment below give it a thumbs up and Let’s jump into things guys, Let’s break down. Why maybe you’re not having success with facebook ads Or if you’ve heard other people saying like? I don’t know Facebook guys don’t really work now. This is the typical story of what people do they’ll go through the creative Facebook page, Which is obviously pretty easy, because it’s a hundred percent free it takes about 30 seconds, go set it up.

They’ll go through They’ll make a post. If we come down here to one of my more recent posts, So this is my my pin pulse up here at the top of my page They’ll go through to make a post like this one right here and they’re like okay. I want more people see it because I want to generate leads. I want to make sales or whatever it might be, and then they’ll come over here. Like Oh boost pulse like that means it’s going to and more people are going to see this so they’ll click on this.

It is really easy to go through and Set up this post be boosted so that more people in your community or in your target audience are going to See this okay. Now, if you’ve done this before and you’re like Jason, this just does not work at all. I tried it, I’m didn’t get any leads or whatever you’re exactly right. Okay, Now, if you go through and you click boost post and click boost right here, Facebook has so much data on all of their different users, So they know which users are more likely to.

Like and comment on, a post, which ones are more likely to become leads, Which ones are more likely to buy something online or those even more likely to read a article okay. Now, if you click on boost post, you click boost right here on this little Facebook post and you target two People in your local community or people in your target audience It’s going to go through and show your post two people are more likely to like or Comment on that Facebook, post, okay, so That’s probably not what you want You probably are looking to generate, leads You’re, probably looking to make sales.

Obviously This is really good to get a lot of exposure on that post. But if you’ve kind of gone through – and you haven’t seen results, that’s probably because this is exactly what you’re doing and Facebook’s just showing it to the wrong people, because You know it’s not your fault. You just didn’t know that that’s who they go through and show it to right. So, let’s jump over here to the Facebook Ads manager, and I want to show you guys how to set this up So you’re, actually showing your ads to the right people based on what your objectives are, whether it’s to generate leads make sales or, if you do Want likes and comments, Or if you want people to view your article or whatever it might be, so you can see right here.

This is just a test account which I’m actually having it shut down here, because I don’t really use it, But just for the sake of this example, what we’re going to Do is come over here to create a campaign so that green button right There is to Create a new Facebook advertising Campaign. Now, if you went through and you made a post on your Facebook page so, for example like this one you still can use, You still can use this post by setting up things on the back end.

Can I’ll show you guys how to do that here in Just a second okay? So if we come over here, It says: what’s your marketing objective right now, remember How I said when you click boost post. That only is going to show people more likely to like and comment on your post. Well, look at all these other objectives right here: okay, So and awareness – that’s just going to get you tons and tons of reach kind of similar with this one right here or the consideration Traffic.

That means, if you’re, trying to get people to click to your website, to your blog or you just want people to go to a certain destination online engagement right here, this one’s just like the boost post, that’s going to get more people to like and Comment on. Your Facebook post app installs. Obviously, if you have a mobile, app They’re going to get more app, installs article views, people reading your articles and you can go through and say hey.

I want to shoot people that, or I want to target people. Okay, that are going to be reading three seconds of the article Ten seconds. The article 50 percent of the article 95 percent of article and the cool thing is actually You can go through and create custom audiences by how much people have readed of your articles. Now I Cover all that in detail in my facebook as mini course. So, as I mentioned earlier guys, if you guys want that, make sure you Guys drop a comment below thumbs up the article and I’ll share that with you guys as well so Um also, we have lead generation, okay, now lead generation.

This is using. Facebook lead forms. Okay, It’s a little perform that when they click on your poster, your ad, it’s going to pop up – And it’s going to have you know their name phone email. The cool thing about this: is it Pre-populates with the information that Facebook has on file? So if you kind of done stuff before and you’re like man, I’m getting bogus Lee’s or whatever, This is a very good option to consider to eliminate a lot of the the bogus leads like you know, test at gmail.

Com Or no bet note com or something like That right and then messages This is kind of tying in with Facebook’s messenger platform, which is really cool. You can have that engagement instead of following up via email or text. You can follow through Facebook message and then conversions. This is what I actually really like. I use this a lot. This is going through and using a landing page now, if you’re kind of like Jason, I don’t really know the difference between a landing page and my main website, my main home page.

That is also in the Facebook Ads Mini course, because when you use a landing page versus sending people to your main website, You’re going to see about 10 to 25 times more leads When you’re sending people to a landing page as opposed to just your main website Or your blog okay, So I cover all that I’d, like obviously there’s a ton of ton of information that I can go through and cover. But I want to get to Kind of choosing one of these objectives and then showing you how to target the audience.

How to stuff the ad and I’ve also got A few ad examples up here And kind of give you an idea of how to actually set up your ad is you’re going through and creating all this. So so, For this example, let’s just say we’re going for traffic. Ok, now traffic! This is not like you’re on the freeway right, there’s not like yeah. You know you got stop and go traffic all the red lights. This is Sending people.

So someone sees your Facebook ad or your Facebook post. Is there scrolling through their newsfeed on their phone or in their laptop, And then they click on that post and then it sends them to your website. Okay or your blog, or to your landing page or wherever. You’re wanting to send them all right, so That’s what this traffic one is all about. So if we click on this, we can give it a campaign name.

So, let’s just say we’re going to do like traffic and then it will just do demo right here. For this example, okay, So we’ll go through We’ll hit continue. Okay, so now we get to you can see like we’re breaking it down, so we got the campaign, which is basically your objective Right like what Do you want to? Actually, Do you want to generate leave some people, your website, people, to read your articles, Whatever it might be, and the ad set this is getting into your targeting like Who do you want to target you want to target people in your local community? What age you want them to be? Do you want to be male/female? Do you want to display target specific interests? What is your budget? You want to spend five dollars a day.

Do you want to do a lifetime budget of $ 100 for the whole month? All that different stuff and then once we have the campaign objectives selected, which we’ve already done that will dive in we’ll go through this ad set level. At that point, we can go through and create our Facebook ad okay, so Right here, let’s just give it a name, really quick. We can just say test demo right here and normally I like to give it a name based off of who I’m targeting.

So if I’m targeting people in Dallas within a ten-mile radius, ages, 45 to 55, I like to kind of go through and put that right in here. So when I’m going back and looking at my advertising campaigns, I Can see kind of a quick look at which ones are performing better than others. Okay, so we’re going to go through do traffic website Right there. We don’t need a messing with any of that stuff, and then we go down to the audience now guys.

This is where it starts to really get dialed in with who we want to target and in that Facebook, as many course was talking about. I Show you how you can go through and create custom audiences of people who have already readed one of your articles on Facebook. Okay, People have already visit your website, people that already are your lead, so your contacts, you can actually import all of your contacts, Whether you have their email, their phone numbers or whatever information you have Import that in so you’ve got this like warm market of people, That already know exactly who you are now those those ads are actually going to perform a Lot better than if you’re just going through and targeting a cold market.

But the nice thing is: is it’s nice to do a little bit of both, because then you can go through and get more exposure Or people that have no idea who you are, But then you can also have maybe an ad running for a dollar two dollars. A day to your warm market And be able to generate leads for a lot less Okay. So for this example, Let’s just say we are a realtor in Dallas all right, so Where we go through it, as I mentioned guys to look the custom audiences, They talked about in the Facebook Ads mini course.

That is all down right here. We can go through and create them, select them and do all that good stuff. But we’re not going to hit that right now in this article. Okay, so we’re going to say we’re a Dallas realtor or you could set your Dallas restaurant or gym owner or whatever business You’re in right. It kind of just is the same type idea. So, instead of saying locations United States, We are going to put our Local area.

Okay, so we’re just going to say: Dallas Texas, well, click right there. Then this is really cool guys, based on what business you’re in okay, like if you’re a restaurant, You probably don’t want to do a 25 mile radius, but you might want to do just a 10 mile radius K Or you can even see you looked up here. It says current city only okay, because you’re like hey, I’m a restaurant, so people are probably not going to come ten miles just to go to my restaurant, So you want to go through and get that super dialed in now, Depending if you’re, you know, let’s say If you’re a restaurant, you probably would want to use everyone in this location, Whereas, if you’re a local gym or a realtor like this example, you probably want to do people who live in this location, Okay, because everyone in this location, that means they could be there Visiting for work They just passing through or whatever it might be, which, if you have a business where you know like they’ve, got to be there to actually like buy a home or They’re there, for you know to go to a gym or anything like that.

You don’t really necessarily want to target Just everyone. You want to get pretty Specific now. Obviously, look at these cool things. If you have like a tourist business, you say hey. I only want to hit people traveling in this location, so you can do some pretty cool things with Facebook advertising right here. So let’s just do people who live in this location because we’re going to go through and give more of the like a realtor example Right.

So now we come down, We choose our age range. Okay, now someone looking to buy a home They’re probably going to be, I would say minimum age is about 25 right and it could go up to 65 plus You can kind of dial it in like. If you like to work with the younger community or kind of like the middle age community or more of the older community, you can kind of go through and target based on that and then obviously, if You’re going through and selling homes, you want just all genders Right, you don’t want to be able to be specific to men or women, But obviously, if you run like let’s say a fitness gym and the focus is just Women or just meant men or whatever it might be, you can go through and target that and then Also languages here I typically like to leave it open-ended, but you can come in here Just to kind of show you guys you can say hey.

I just want target English speakers. Okay or maybe you want to go through and work with the Hispanic market, so you would might type in hey I’m going to type in Spanish and just hit people that speak Spanish. So you can see. There’s 450,000 people, that’s a pretty good market right there right! So, let’s just leave it at that! I’m not going to target any language because you know whether they speak Spanish, English, I’m fine with that.

Okay, so we’ve got 1.8 million people there And then we come down. We can choose some detailed targeting based on what business you’re in you might want to target. Okay So like, let’s say home owners. Okay, so, like you can come in here, You can see hey the interests of homeowners or demographics right here, guys, people that own home. So, if you’re looking to go through and help people sell their homes, you might want to go through and target homeowners right there, Okay, So that that goes through and that drops it down quite a bit because not everyone obviously owns a home.

A lot of people are Probably renting in the area, And so just you want to think about. Okay, like what type of advertising campaign am I running. Who do I want to target and then go through? You can include some detailed targeting here now Lots of times what I like to do just right out of the gate. I don’t really like to include targeting I like Facebook just to go through their advertising. Algorithms are actually extremely smart, and so they, a lot of times, can go through and Find the ideal people based on your ad.

Just you just got to give it a few days, Maybe three, four or five days to go through and kind of like learn. Some information on who your target audience is and who’s clicking on that ad Who’s, opting in and all that stuff, and so a lot of times I like to just leave it open right here: Okay, now Connections, I usually just kind of leave this open-ended. I just don’t touch it and then placements now.

This is big guys When they say automatic placements. This is recommended. I don’t necessarily always recommend that okay, so basically that saying hey We’re going to show your ads on Facebook on Instagram on, you know on our advertising networks, all these different platforms, So I usually like to go to edit placements And you guys can get a general Idea of the different places you can go through and show these ads.

Okay, so you could even say hey. I only want to go and show people on mobile or only show to people on their desktop, but for this just to simplify, I Normally leave it on all devices right here which is recommended. Okay, so I’ll just leave it at that. Then you can see all these different options, guys likely this Facebook, You got the newsfeed instant articles. You got the right-hand column like when you’re scrolling.

Through on your desktop. You got the Marketplace. You got the Instagram feeds you can pop it up into the Instagram stories. Up at the top, you guys have probably seen some Of those ads that you got the audience network And then also messenger. When people are scrolling through a messenger on their phone, They can see an ad and you can see kind of like what the ads are going to Actually look like now.

If you’re brand news Just start now guys, I would just say unchecked everything. Besides The Facebook news feeds and if you want to do Instagram newsfeed, that’s totally cool too. If I go through and just uncheck all of this And then just keep it to like people scrolling through Facebook, on their phone or on their desktop or scrolling through Instagram – And I like to just kind of keep it basic at that.

Okay. So now we’ll scroll down – and this is where we can go through and create our budget right, so we’ve got a daily budget or A lifetime budget. Now, if you want to say hey, I only want to spend a hundred dollars total on this campaign. I would use a lifetime budget and you can go through and set the start and end date And how much you want to actually spend, or you can say, hey. I want to do a daily budget, And maybe you want to start out with just ten dollars a day: okay Or maybe five dollars a day or whatever the budget that works and fits within your advertising budget there.

But I usually like, if you do have the budget, I usually like to start out about ten dollars a day, just because you’re able To go through and get the data back from Facebook and see if campaigns are working or not working, You’re able to see it. A lot quicker, So you know if you’re spending only five dollars a day, It’s going to take maybe two or three times longer To see if that campaigns working as opposed if you’re spending ten to even 15 dollars per day.

Okay, now, if we come down here, I usually like to just kind of leave the optimization for a delivery, just just, as is a lot of this stuff. I just leave it as is and honestly There’s a lot of like high end advanced stuff that you can get into, But a lot of times kind of the basic general idea of what Facebook gives you it’s good enough And you don’t really need to go through And get all you know, particular about what’s checked on, What’s checked off, Setting like a bid cap and all that stuff just stuff that you really don’t need to go through and optimize right now, So we’re just going to hit continue guys and now.

At this point, This is where we can go through and set up our actual Facebook ad. Now let me jump over here. I wanted to show you guys a couple of these ads and just show you how they’re broken down and why I do The different things that we do. So this is an image ad okay, So you can go through and you can use a article here. You can use an image you can go through. There’s one, That’s called a carousel where you can actually add multiple images or multiple articles.

So some pretty cool different things there, But you can you go what you want to do. Kind of the structure of an ad is you want to call out your audience? Okay, so I would say: hey your city or your County homeowners and we’re looking for people looking to sell their home, We’re going to say, hey attention. You know Dallas homeowners right or if you’re a restaurant, you can say hey Dallas, foodies right or do you like to work out in Dallas, or you know just like calling out that specific audience And then what I like to do is kind of ask some type Of question to pique their interest: hey: Do you want to increase the value of your home? Now, if I’m looking to this, I’m seeing hey, I’m a Dallas, homeowner! Okay and you say: hey: Do you want to crease up out of your home? Of course, you want to crease the value of your home right, you kind of piqued their interest, And then you get initial call to action.

Hey go through click here, and this is taking them to a landing page. So I’ll just show you guys kind of what that looks like right here. This says it like seven, simple tips are raising the value of your home before selling Get the tips they put in their email or you go for the name phone email. You know what you’re going for this is obviously just a demo right here, but Then you go through and maybe add a little bit more value, Okay, so that they didn’t they’re like not totally sold to go click and opt-in right there, You can say hey by The way I’ve compiled a free pour the seven simple hacks.

I tell my clients to raise the value of their home or, let’s say, if your local restaurant, we do awesome like Taco Tuesday, where we have like fifty percent off all of our tacos or Hey. You know if your gym owner, Hey we’ve, got an awesome, seven-day, Free like membership or something like that. Just kind of like get you kind of peaked into there And then I always like to close out with another call to action Which is send them to see the same landing page and then thanks And then your name to kind of add some personalization to it.

Alright, so we break this down again. Really quick. You’ve got the you’re calling out your target audience. Okay, you’re peaking their interest with some type of question right, which is kind of like a no-brainer question. Like hey, You know: Dallas residents, Are you looking to get fit for the summer like that? That’s really targeting that that specific market right there, like you, know Dallas foodies.

Would you like to try the best new barbecue place in town or whatever it might be right And then you’re kind of sending them there? And then you can go through and send like Write. Another line of some different bonus or some value that they’re going to get when they go through and opt in so Another one I’ll show you guys really quick, I’m not going to break down exactly step by step like I did the last one, But it’s a Very similar one, but this one is obviously a article Which is cool because, like as I mentioned, that face book advertising mini-course I’ve got for you guys.

I show you how to go through and identify The people who have readed three seconds of your article. Ten seconds of you do 25 %, 50 %, and so on. So it’s really cool, because then you can know like hey this person’s, not a completely cold Audience right. They’ve actually seen my article. They have probably a little bit of an idea of who I am What my business is and how I can go through and help them okay.

So now, let’s jump back over to the Facebook Ads manager. So this is where we are going to go through and create our ad or, as I mentioned earlier guys, if you, you know already Made your post and you’re like hey. I just want to use that post. I don’t wan na have to recreate it. You can click on use existing post right here, Okay, Now what we want to do is we want to select our facebook business page that we’ve got you can see.

I’ve got. I’ve actually got a few two over here, but we come through. I select the Jason ward drop links, That’s the one I want to use. You can even go through and select what Instagram account if you want to run it on Instagram as well, And if you don’t have an Instagram account connected, you can just say: hey use. My Facebook page as that Instagram account okay, Then coming down We’ll just go through, and click select, post it’ll pop up all the posts that you’ve recently posted.

It’s like, let’s say for this one. I want to post this one right here And so now it’s just going to show this and then at this point all we got to do is hit confirm And that’s it, but the ad is completely set up. Now, Let’s go back, Let’s say you don’t have an existing post. You want to create this completely from scratch, So we first want to select the Facebook page right and then we can choose the format right here.

Okay, now I showed you guys. We have the image ad. We’ve also got the article ad. We’ve got these different options right here, And so there honestly guys, I don’t necessarily prefer one or the other They’re, both Good for different reasons, kind of depending on what you want to go through and show. If you want to go and give an insight Look at or of your restaurant or an open house or a you know of your gym or whatever business you’re in Obviously, a article would be kind of nice and kind of like just show.

People inside and the cool thing is guys With this. I don’t recommend so like this one right here. This is a very professional article. These actually don’t perform as well as just kind of like a normal basic article shot with your eye phone Or your whatever mobile phone. You use okay, so I would highly recommend Just going through keeping it basic. You don’t have to go through and have a massive marketing advertising budget for all this, so just go through And use your phone as you’re going through and setting all this up.

Okay, so now you can go through. You can choose Hey single image, single article slideshow. So I like to usually Start with either a single image, like I showed you guys earlier or even the single article and then right here You can go through and upload an image from your desktop. Like let’s say, maybe, you’ve got an image of your gym Or of a home that you’re looking to sell, or you know your restaurant, whatever It is or you can even go through and you can use some free stock images And you’re going through select.

Let’s say you are a Realtor right, that’s kind of the example We’re using. So we want to go through and use a home Okay. So we go through. We click on this and, like you can see, it’s got a watermark when it goes live It’s not going to show the watermark Okay, so you don’t have to worry about that. We’re going to hit confirm Okay! So now it’s going to pop up It’s going to show us the ad right here and then, let’s say our website I’ll just pull up my website right here, Arsalan kg comm – let’s just throw that in that’s! This is where we’re trying to send people to Okay and then well.

We use kind of like that same method now, just for just sake of time, guys I’m just going to copy and paste this right here and We’ll come back over here into this text box. Here It says home what we’re going to Do is just like go through and put that right in here And then the cool thing is, is we’ve got some of these templates for you guys, so we can say Dallas, homeowners and just kind of fill in your Own information, so you can say, hey get my tips here and link out to We’ve got our website up here, Which guys, if you guys go through my facebook, guys mini-course drop comment down below give it a thumbs up.

I show you guys the difference of why you should use a landing page as opposed to your main website. Obviously this one I’m just using our main website. I highly recommend not doing that. I just want it. Okay, and you can say down here: Hey thanks. Your name Jason Wardrop, okay, So now we come down here. You’ve got the headline right here, so you say, like hey: Dallas homeowners Increase The value of your home, Something like that rights like go through kind of grab their attention right there, And then I like to do for the call to action.

You’ve got all these different options, Or you can even say hey no button. I like did you learn more because if somebody’s interest is piqued like they do technically want to learn more right, and so, instead of saying like sign up or what, like you know, request time, it’s kind of a little bit like sign up almost is a Little Bit standoffish, so I like to kind of do, learn more because it’s like hey I’m curious.

I would like to learn more okay, then down here at an overlay image. I just leave that multiple languages just leave that I want initially show that now display link optional. I just probably leave that for right now, Then do speed, link description, so you guys can see over here. This is the mobile newsfeed and if we want to check and see like what it looks like on different platforms, We can scroll through, and so this is what it would look like on your desktop Newsfeed and that’s where this newsfeed link description would be okay.

So we can say, like hey, Increase the value of your home, something like that and then you’ll see it’s going to pop up down over here, But I think because our headlines so long, I think that’s why it’s not popping up. So normally, if your headlines Not super long, It will pop up down over here It’s not going to Sara Lee pop up on your mobile or you know, or even on Instagram. So this isn’t like super super important.

But if you want to go through an out of that, you totally can, then you can see right here. This is what’s looking like on Instagram, so it’s kind of nice be able to go through and sort through and see what it looks like on these different platforms there, and then all we don’t have to do is just hit confirm and We have now gone through And created our advertising campaign right guys, So that was kind of like a you know, a quick run through.

I wanted to show you guys all the different steps And why you should be using the Facebook Ads manager as opposed to Boosting your post. You want to make sure you get the right objectives, but if you’re looking to use like you know, lead forms like I talked about where it’s got, that little form that pops up and Facebook automatically fills in the information with the name phone number, an email address Or if you guys want to go through and create custom audiences With people visiting your website already or reading articles, Or you know, people that are already on your email or in your contact database, be able to market specifically just to them.

I have that all in my facebook ads mini-course to drop a comment below give it a thumbs up. I will get you guys that hundred percent for free I’m not trying to charge you guys anything, I’m just trying to go through help you out, I was I’ve, been actually listening to gary vaynerchuk’s new book. How To Analyze Facebook Advertising Data – Facebook Ads Analytics Tutorial 2019

That’s almost 5x the amount of results. What’s going to know if a mare gathers here with Willis academy.Com and in this article I’m going to go and give you guys a 24 hour campaign update to show you guys data right so that way we can look at data and analytics. So, let’s go ahead and step behind laptop boom, we’re behind the laptop now.

First and foremost, this is an update of the original campaign article that I created. So let me actually go to Dropbox, really quick. I don’t know if you guys recall, but we have two angles: three images, three audiences and 18 total variations. So if we look here right 18 different variations at $ 10 add sets is about 180 dollars spent. So if we look here so far, we have about 182 dollars spent, so we’re right on track to about that ten dollars per day spinning.

So this is roughly about twenty four-hours-a-day a day right and I personally don’t make any data-driven decisions until about three to four days once we actually have enough data, so we don’t have an updated yet, but I want to go ahead and actually just kind of step On the laptop here and kind of give you guys an update to show you guys within 24 hours, like what what type of data you’re going to start getting an update of of what I thought was going to happen happen compared to what did happen.

So first thing that I do want to go to an address is, in the last article we had the the affiliate marketing audience right, so affiliate marketing, affiliate marketing, affiliate marketing in the last article that was actually performing the worst that was performing the worst day. It had no actions performed no results, however, right, that’s the importance of not making any decision too early, because I personally thought it was going to do the best right, but and what and what I mean by for let’s go and actually look at the ad set.

Really quick, so if I open up the ad set or go to edit today of marketing, if we look here, the audience is simply affiliate marketing. Is that simple right so right now what we’re doing is we have a sandbox campaign and we have 18 different variations. That we’re trying to see we’re trying to find winning angles, which is basically ad copy and headline we’re trying to find winning creatives, which is a winning image or try to find winning audiences right.

So in the beginning, the audience’s were showing that affiliate marketing wasn’t converting, but if we take a look here and we go to cost per results, when we go to the top here, the top performing one right guys remember these. These had no actions, but the first time I shot the campaign overview campaign or article, but that being said since that article, the top performing audiences for the marketing, so with that being said, you have to give it time right.

You have to give Facebook enough time if you notice here it says active learning, active learning right so once the active learning is off right. It’s not it’s not learning any more, but it’s always learning. But with that being said, I want to go ahead and actually see which image is performing the best right. So I don’t know if you guys remember the three images are actually so, let’s go to I’m going to go to affiliate, affiliates, affiliate, marketing, affiliate, affiliate marketing and then affiliates affiliate marketing.

I just want to show you guys the three images right, but this should tell you guys something right: one of the images is performing out of dollar twenty seven one of the images is performing at 344. One of the images is performing at $ 10 right. So let’s go ahead and actually take a look, so the image that is performing the best so far me sitting in a pool right on my phone um luxury pool. I believe that was in the W in Miami right.

The one performing at on three dollars right is: I could have guessed this one. This is funny this is funny now I could have told you. Actually, I wouldn’t know whether the Tiger the tiger one or the one me sitting in the pool would do better, but I definitely thought that they would convert better than me with a group of people right with morale job, so the audience so far right, we haven’t, Gave it enough time, but the audience looks like this could be a winning audience, but sometimes you think your audience isn’t working, but it’s really not the audience.

Why? Sometimes you have a winning audience. For example, I should say this was a winning audience, but I had this picture right here and I was getting $ 10 $ 10 per result, which is what I’m getting right now. I like all this audience sucks. No, it doesn’t you suck right, you need them. You need to create enough variations, so the reason why you want to do different audiences, different creatives, different different angles, and you want to do it like.

So, let’s look at the actual campaign structure. What I did two angles right, so two different sets of ad copy. Next and let me actually go to the ad comics – I don’t even know what ad copy this is. I believe this is the affiliate marketing ad copy. It is the affiliate marketing ad copy. So if I go to the affiliate marketing ad copy, obviously right dear struggling affiliate marketers and I’m targeting the audience of affiliate marketing, so they like affiliate marketing, I’m targeting affiliate marketers and then now I have a creative and out of these creatives.

So we know that the angle right – we don’t know this yet, but based off of the numbers right, I don’t have an update attack to make data-driven decisions, move a sophomore or looking at right now. We know that the angle, which is the ad copy, as well as the image we know that there are not the images, the angle and the audience is probably a winning angle in audience. So eventually, what I’m going to do is split sense: that ad copy and split test that ad copy in that audience and I’m going to go to split just a whole bunch of images and see if I can get a winner out of that and out of That, if I can go ahead and actually beat this image with other images that I have right, some pretty dope images, then I’m going to go ahead and actually move it to another campaign of my winner.

So this this campaign right here is basically like split testing campaign. I guess you could say now another one right is over here right, another one that seems to be catching a little bit of traction is the overworked campaign. Now, let’s actually see what images right now, the two different audiences one is Tim Ferriss right. So that’s actually edited to show you guys the audience. So the audience is Tim Ferriss and the audience here is Russell Brunson right.

So two internet marketers. So with that being said, I’m going to laugh if they’re the same image right, but let’s go ahead and actually see. I knew it so guys we have found I’m not going to jump the gun of guys, but I believe we found a winning image right cuz. Let’s take a look at this guy’s right. Look at this look at how awesome this is data-driven decisions, so the top three converting ads. This isn’t a fluke guys.

This is just this is this is what the public says is what they want. So if we look at a fitness, we look at all of these three. So look: there’s two different marketing angles: two different marketing angles right: two different marketing angles: three different ad sets. If we go to the ad creative, we have a winning creative right. This one is outperforming every other creative so that guys, that is data-driven the sitter’s.

So what I’m going to do is I’m going to go ahead and use this image? I’m going to continue to use this image, but I don’t want to jump the gun yet right. Um but guys one thing that I want to go to show you guys is 182 dollars spent. I only got 25 leads right now. If we were to spin, if I was to get a dollar 27, let’s just say, let’s just round that, let’s just say I was to get a dollar 50 per lead right, that same hundred and eighty dollar ad spin would amount to a hundred and twenty leads.

That’s almost 5x the amount of results right. So what happens is guys. The whole objective in the beginning is not to make. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s not to make money. It’s to get data is to find winners. It’s to find the ads that are actually working and then what I’m going to do is I’m going to reallocate that spend to the winners, so files are reallocate that spin right right now. This campaign is not a profitable campaign, meaning if I’m getting leads on average.

For seven dollars and twenty-nine cents, I’m getting 25 leaves with one hundred and eighty dollars spent. That’s me losing money, but me split-testing has allowed me to find a winning image so far, right so far and a winning um angle right a winning angles. So what I can do is I can go ahead and actually split test that angle with that image and try to actually beat the actual angle and audience right.

That’s how I can that’s one way that I can optimize that and try to improve, but with that being said, what I’m going to do now is eventually, after a couple of days, I’m still going to go ahead and give a time right, but after I give It a little bit of time. What I’m going to do is I’m going to be able to actually re allocate some of that money and if I was getting instead of seven dollars on average per lead, if I was getting leads at a dollar, thirty ton dollar.

Fifty even below two dollars leaves below two dollars. That is a profitable marketing campaign for me, so I’m going to go in a scale at that level, I got ta find the winners first right, so I just wanted to do a quick, 24-hour update just to show you guys right what we’re looking for now. We’re not looking for guys as these I’m not even looking at the backend stuff. Yet I’m not looking at I’m not looking at the backend stuff.

Yet right. First, we’re going to go to look at the front-end numbers and then an additional things that you guys can look at from the very very beginning could be like the cost per click you guys can be looking at the UM, the click-through rate. So one thing you guys will notice if I go to the top-performing Li or the top performing ads here right, the top performing ads the click-through rate is one point one six three point eight and two point five: three right.

I would assume that these top three probably have some of the highest click-through rates because of this image click, the rate click the rate. Now I want to go to actually so these two right here. These two ads have pretty high click-through rate, so I want to go to and actually look at the image. So guys is that high, the higher your click-through rate? That means it may be a pretty good, pretty good image if you notice here five point: seven four percent click-through rate – and it has seven link – clicks now – there’s some sort of disconnect here, because this one’s getting a low cost per click, this one’s getting a high Click-Through rate, but the question is: why isn’t it converting I’m getting cost believes out for four dollars, so I’m going to go and actually look at that so affiliates and Russell so the target one guys.

That’s why it’s getting a high click through a just me. Petting a freaking tiger right, so this one is getting the highest click-through rate. That’s why I’m not going to go ahead and actually jump the gun to say the other one is the winner yet because over time this may actually change. So we have to give it enough time right and give Facebook enough data right. I like to be personally, I don’t like to make a decision, unless I at least have about a thousand impressions right, which is one CP, one CPM right cost per thousand impressions.

So with that being said, um yeah, that’s basically the article I just wanted to show you guys some of the analytics that you guys should be looking at. Obviously your cost per action, whatever you’re trying to accomplish did you guys go look at other things, I’m going to kind of give you guys. Some extra data, like the click-through rate, shows me. Okay, the Tiger the tiger ad may be a good image, but because it’s getting a high click-through rate, I just might have to write a different angle to that audience.

So this may be you what I mean right, that’s why you want to get all the analytics. The click the break shows me it’s a good image, but there’s this that there’s some sort of disconnect there right to where it’s not performing as high as the other ones. So one different angle that I could switch up is: I can go to actually in the actual ad talk about being in Thailand, petting Tigers and being able to travel the world and going from corporate slavery to traveling the world, because I have a laptop business or Work from home business that allows me actually travel work for my laptop work from anywhere.

That allows me to get experiences like paper tiger, so on and so forth. So if you guys want a – and I can appeal to people who want to actually travel and an audience that will probably work well with, that would probably be like the 4-hour workweek and I can go ahead and say so. If you want to go ahead and learn how to live, laptop lifestyle click down look boom and then it may be a little bit more congruent.

So I actually want to look at two more things right, so this is actually you never mind. So if you notice the one with the high click-through rates, this is talking about struggling with idiots, so petting a tiger and talking about struggling affiliates that may there may be a disconnect there right. So maybe I have to switch up the angle with this different net, but with that being said guys, we have two to three more days to actually wait.

Look at the data, I’m okay with losing this money, because I’m getting really good data, I’m getting I’m at because guys understand, sometimes you’re going to go ahead and actually put up three you’re going to put up all these variations and you’re not going to go and Get anything zilch is zero. I mean you’re not going to get a winning image, you’re not going to get a winning angle. I just so happen to potentially have a winning image and a winning angle.

So I’m super excited about that, so an a winning audience. So that being said, um the more variations you you create and the faster you spend depending on what your budget is, the faster you’re going to acquire data, the fashion you’re going to be able to make moves right. So the bigger your resources, the faster you’ll, be able to make moves. But with that being said, that’s basically all I got for you, that’s how you make data-driven decisions.

That’s how you look at your analytics. That’s a campaign. That’s been up for about 24 hours and we do have some pretty data and some pretty good insight on this campaign. Now it’s just time to wait a couple more days to look at the data and make data-driven decisions. What’s The Best Facebook Ad Placement?? Facebook Advertising Tutorial For Beginners 2019

Newsfeed could be on the mobile newsfeed or the desktop newsfeed.

Okay, it could be on the right-hand column. It could be on Instagram Instagram stories. It could be. You know a article, it could be on the audience Network, There’s so many different places that you can go through and show your ad Okay And I want to break down and show you guys. What’s worked really well for me And then also what you guys should consider doing with your business right now, real quick guys, If you guys want my hundred percent free Facebook Ads mini-course, it’s a complete run-through of the Facebook Ads manager.

It’s really it’s really for beginners! A complete run-through of the Facebook Ads manager. We show you guys how to set up the Facebook pixel, all the tracking, so basically a quick overview of setting up all of your Facebook ad campaigns just drop a comment down below give this article a thumbs up, and I will share that with you. Alright. So, let’s jump into this Okay, So when we’re going through and we’re talking about placements, whether we want to show the newsfeed or if we want to show the right-hand column or Instagram or the stories or whatever it Is we’re going to go through and we’re going to create a new campaign.

All right, so, let’s hit start over here Now, based on what your marketing objective is Like. If you want article views or if you want leads, or just people to click to your website or whatever it might be, different Marketing objectives can work better, depending on where you place them right. So I just want to give you a quick run-through, though, in this article of What’s worked best for me on pretty much all these different marketing objectives as a whole.

So for this one, since we’re talking about Placements this marketing objective, Let’s just pick traffic for this demo right here and we’ll hit continue And so at the ad set level. Okay. So this is that second step and then the third one you’re going to go through and actually create the ad the actual, creative Right. This is where you’re going to go through and choose which placement? Okay, whether you want to show the news, feed the right-hand column, The audience network on Instagram and the stories on the new Instagram news feed on mobile desktop.

You have all these different options and this office view also, where you choose your audience right now, I’m not going to get into you the audience targeting all that stuff of like who we should show these ads to that’s all in that And as mini-course facebook, as Mini course, So if you guys want that drop a comment down below give the article a thumbs up – and I will share that with you – but let’s come down here to Placements okay now by default they say automatic placements recommended Okay and I don’t always recommend that.

Okay, now, Let’s bring this down, You have a few different audiences right now, when you’re, targeting your warm audience. Okay, Now your warm audience is people who have already visited your website They’re on your email list. They basically have interacted with your Facebook page, So they know who you are Right when it’s that type of group, That’s typically a lot smaller audience. Usually it’s, like you know tens of thousands of people or, if you’ve been doing business for a long time.

It may be in the you know, one hundred two hundred thousand people, but that’s where I’m a would use all Placements. Okay, because they already are familiar with you. So if they see you on Instagram and the stories or the news feed or on Facebook ranking column, there are at ready, like they’re, going to their attentions, going to jump to you and what you’re doing right now, if you’re going to a cold Audience completely cold Out – and they have no idea who you are They’ve, never seen you They’re never heard of you Nothing and you’re trying to get their attention.

What I like to do typically, is go to edit placements and I Usually like to start out with just the Facebook news feeds right here: okay, So what I’ll do is you can see? They’re all checked. I come over here and I uncheck all these. I uncheck the messenger, the audience network, I uncheck Instagram, unchecked instant articles, all of these different ones – and I just start out with Facebook news feeds right now.

This is historically what I’ve seen work best for my business and a lot of other people’s businesses. However, Just because a lot of people are starting to focus on the newsfeed now The the cost of generating leads in the cost of doing business, It can be a little bit higher it’s going up because it’s kind of like the supply and demand right like if You’re going down A freeway and they’ve got like let’s say a hundred billboards on this 50 mile stretch.

Okay and There’s 200 people Go through and show their advertisement on these hundred billboards. Okay, the cost is obviously going to go up and it’s going to go up. Go up go up to the point where there’s not 200, there’s now maybe 150, and then, if there’s that there’s going to still go up to the point where you know They’re leveling out right that 100 And so that’s kind of what’s starting to happen.

There’s so many small businesses, So many people trying to advertise in the news feeds and that’s why I, oh I’ve forgotten check this one. That’s why it’s it’s good to go through and test out some of these different placements. So the second one that I like to go through and test out is the Instagram newsfeed. Okay, now, typically, What I like to do is go through and create a different ad set okay, So what that means is, I would go through.

Let’s say I’m going through and creating this this one with the news feeds I would Continue. I’ve set my budget and I would continue and create the ad, But I would go through and I would create a completely different ad set targeting the same exact audience. Okay, because then we just we can get a really good split test. Okay, So targeting the same exact audience. So we can really know which one converts better and instead of clicking news feeds We for Facebook, We’re going to do the Instagram newsfeed, So we’re going to uncheck that and you can see we’re just targeting the Instagram newsfeed Okay, so I’ve seen I’ve seen different results.

I’ve seen varying stuff, like so sometimes Instagram back in the day. Their advertising platform I didn’t feel like was that great, because the targeting stuff was a little bit off. I feel like it’s gotten a lot better, so you can go through and start targeting more with Instagram and in the news feeds and Then, if you go through and you find out later on, you’re like well – Oh It’s only like it like.

So, let’s go back and let’s say we’re targeting on Facebook, bad as replacement And you go through and you’re. Looking at your stats, Okay and I can – I can shoot another article for that – a little bit later, how to go through and look at your stats. And Let’s say you see, most of your opt-ins in the Facebook newsfeed are on mobile as opposed to desktop, So but more people are opting in like scrolling through on their phone, as opposed to scrolling around on desktop.

Now, Back a few months ago, the mobile newsfeed for Facebook and the desktop newsfeed, Those were actually separate that you could check, but they’re, not anymore. They combined them together. However, what we can do is come up here to Device types and we click on all devices which is recommended, and I typically recommend that as well. But if you’re, seeing like hey mobile, is working so much better than desktop, All you got to do is come over here and click mobile, only Okay, so you’re only showing it but then you’re, obviously you’re going to have to come through and uncheck.

All of these. So you’re only doing on Facebook, news feeds and it’s only showing up in the mobile feed Okay, so it’s not showing up on desktop or vice versa. So you could go through change this to desktop. But as I recommended story now, I would go through and do all the vices All right so guys. That’s basically a quick rundown, So Start out with Facebook. News feeds see how that converts and then, if you want to go through and expand and do some split testing and see some other Different placements, I would test out Instagram news feeds and then you can go see in your analytics, Whether it’s mobile that works better Or even or even desktop right and then another thing that I would do is just go through and and test things out, because your business is Different than anyone else’s business right, And so you might find that, like hey Messenger, messenger, just works amazingly well.

For me, right, like you, just might find that that just works super well. So, like basically messenger ads, you can kind of see this over here When you’re, going through into your Facebook mobile app into the messenger. A little spot like the third one down It’ll be an ad and I’ve seen that actually worked fairly well for certain ads. But keep in mind that the ad creative, so when you get to this next step down here and you create a new ad, Just know that it should probably be a little bit different than the ad that you’re showing on your Facebook newsfeed All right.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2M464s4dRHg

So anyway, guys, hopefully that was helpful for you guys kind of break down the different placements and What you should try. First, if you’ve got a small budget like if you got ten to fifteen dollars for twenty dollars a day, I would start out with the Facebook news feeds and then even merge into the Instagram news feeds. If you’ve got a bigger budget, if you’re spending, you know A thousand two thousand dollars per day or even more, then you can obviously have a little bit more of a budget To start experimenting with some of these other ad placements right.

So, anyway, guys this article is helpful, obviously Give it a thumbs up, drop a comment down below. Let me know what you thought. Let me know anything that you know you’ve experienced different placements that work extremely well for your business. I always like to experiment. I always like to try anything So I’d love to hear your feedback. Also, if you guys are brand new here to the blog, Make sure you guys subscribe, because we launched new articles every single week on how to generate more leads, Make more money and grow.

Your business, So thanks so much for reading guys and we’ll see you all later.

Facebook Ads Split Testing – How To Split Test Facebook Ads For Beginners In 2020

Now somebody asked on one of my previous articles. They asked about hey, we cover split testing, so I figured I kind of cover this in today’s article now, if you’re, like Jason, what the heck is split testing like what does that even mean? Basically, what it is is testing out two different variables in your marketing campaign: Okay, so that could be your whether you’re, using a landing page versus a leave form that could be on your ad you’re, using an image versus another image, or Maybe an image versus a Article or maybe, you’ve got some copy on one ad versus another copy, like you’re, just trying to test out two different things and See which one is going to convert better for you All right now.

The key thing that I would highly stress if you’re going through and especially if you’re brand new to Split testing, is only test one variable at a time Now. What does that mean? So if you’re going through it you’re testing out which landing page, looks better or works better, Okay, Only test out change out, maybe just the headline: Okay and then maybe in another test, you just change out the the call-to-action button Like what it actually says, really: click The call-to-action button then another time You can test out.

Maybe the button color or Something else, but you don’t want to test out too many variables at one time, because if you test out, let’s say on one page, You’ve got the headline and you’ve got kind of like your sand headlines. Centered called actions standard like bullet points and everything, But then you change everything on the next page. You don’t necessarily know like you. Don’t have like that That go to of that standard base of what you know, works Versus why if something else works better or not? Okay, so you want to go through and you want to have your standard chord like okay.

This is what I’m going to be working off of and then I’m going to change the headline see which headline works: better. Okay, this one works better. So I’m going to go switch it in here and change that out to my standard and then I’m going to test out the Call-to-action button see which one works better. Okay, this second one! It didn’t work that well, so I’m just going to keep with my standard and so that’s how you want to go through and do things so There’s a lot of different software’s.

You can go through and use as far as the landing page split testing, But this we’re to talk more about Facebook, advertising split testing. Let me show you guys how they’ve made it a lot simpler in the last couple of months to go through and split test. So Some different things that we can split test is our campaign objective, Whether we’re using link, clicks or website conversions. We can test off audiences, So one audience versus another audience and see which one really converts better.

We can test different ads like different ad creative. So if we want to see okay, Does this image work better than the other image or You know like this is creative versus this other creative or this, this image versus a article, So we can go through and test out a lot of these different things. So I just want to show you guys, really quick how to set this all up inside of the Facebook Ads manager And kind of some of these new updated things here.

So if we come over here to this green, Craig button I’ll go through create a new campaign and this one, let’s just keep it basic and easy, We’re just going to say the traffic campaign case. We want to send people to your blog to your landing page website, Whatever It might be. Okay, now legis. This is fairly new. This isn’t the last couple months, they’ve added this, but it says create a split test.

So it’s a B test, you’re creative Okay. So that’s the actual ad the placement, So is it going to show up in the news feed The right-hand column is going to show up on Instagram or in stories or where is it going to actually be shown the audience? So are you going to show it to people in Texas or California Or Florida, or it could be based off their interest or age groups or a lot of those other things or also delivery, Optimization? Okay, so that could be like clicks on the ad versus landing page views And so we’re going to like go through and cover a lot of this stuff.

So all we do is just click this on and we’re just going to say, traffic and we’ll just name. This, the demo okay, So now we’re going to hit continue. This is going to take us to the ad set level We’re actually going to dive through and hit a lot of these different things. So this is going to kind of cover some of the different split testing strategies and things that you can Kind of, learn and discover here.

So this is, you know, okay, you can go through and you know target different audiences. Those have a little walk through we’re. Not going to hit this right now because kind of already know what what’s saying right there But down here. This is where we’re going to choose the cases variable. What do you want to test out guys? Facebook they’ve made this so easy and they keep making things easier and easier, at least In my opinion, they kind of like walk you through step by step, So you come through and you say: okay, What do you want says like just really quick hitting this here? No audience overlap.

Your potential reach will be randomized and split amongst ad sets to ensure an accurate test. Okay, because they’re going to take a random portion of our people over here, random portion of people over here They kind of are similar and match. But it’s not like overlapping and so you’re going to get the best data possible Right, so we’re going to come over here. What do you want to test So creative, as we talked about before this? Is your actual app? Is it the image that you’re using a article Like? Are you using a carousel ad? Are you using what text are you using Delivery? Optimization, That’s more of like! Okay.

Are you you know going for link clicks? So if they click on the ad or landing page views, okay, so link clicks. There could be somebody that clicks on the ad and Then let’s say they’ve got bad cell service or just on their phone or something like that or the Wi-Fi is bad and it takes forever to load the page. And So they like exit out on the page before they actually even go through and see what the pages that counts as a link click, Whereas landing page views is somebody that is actually going to view the page.

That means a page loaded and they’ve actually seen your website. Okay, so audience right here, We’ve kind of talked about that and then placement So for this example, let’s just say We’ll, say well, sick placement for this one came and this works for all these different ones. So we come down here. Placement variable number one, Okay, so we could say hey automatic placements, which Automatic placements for Facebook What they want to do is they want to be able to show your ad on every location possible right Because really what’s happening with so many more people jumping on Facebook Is that newsfeed, Like the amount of people that are trying to go market on the newsfeed it’s going up, and so you know It’s supply and demand right, There’s only so much space on that newsfeed, so many users, and so it gets filled up.

So they want. You to advertise on Instagram on the right-hand column on the Marketplace on all these different locations. So maybe, for this one we’ll say add, say a we’re just going to leave it automatic placements and ad set B We’re going to actually test out something else. We’re going to come down here, We’re just going to do News feeds right here. The Facebook news feeds All right, so we’re going to test out Everything versus just the news feeds and then we can even add a testing here So like maybe want to go through and test the Instagram newsfeed versus the Facebook newsfeed versus everywhere.

So all we’re going to do is just click on test. Another ad set right here We come down here and instead of doing Facebook, We’ll just click on Instagram, So uncheck the stories and we’ll say the Instagram you see so now. We’ve got we’re going to measure out the histogram newsfeed versus the Facebook newsfeed versus on all Placements right, and so you can come over here and see like where our budget is going to be going.

Okay, 33 %. The budget is going to go towards ad set a 33 percent towards ad set B and 33 percent towards ad set C. Then we come down here and we’re just choosing our audience. Okay, Now the same thing works guys. If we were to come back over here and shit test out instead of placements, We want to test out audience right, we’re going to go through and we’ve got okay audience a who do you want to do maybe want to do a custom saved audience like Dallas, Texas, Fitness right Versus ad set B.

We want to do maybe real estate, Okay, so and obviously you want to probably split test those because we’re not really related, but you can see how you can easily go through and choose these different audiences where Facebook, the nice thing is they’ll they’ll, give a specific Amount of the budget to each one of these different audiences cuz, so back in the day, guys how this all worked is if you create an ad set and you would go through, and You have like three ads in the ad set.

Ok, Facebook and they’re, like first 24 hours, They would kind of just pick whatever ad was performing the best and they would just run with it. Okay, So you didn’t even know if, like maybe one of the two other ones, actually perform better than the one they picked, But they just didn’t really give you enough to run with. So what I did back in the day is, I only have one AD Per ad set. So if we’re come over here choosing more creative right here – Okay, I would just have one AD per ad set, But now it’s nice because they split it evenly.

Cuz then, after you, you can go through and you’re running your split test, you’re, seeing which one actually works, better you’re able to get a lot better idea of which one works the best and why it worked the best and they go through and Improve your advertising From there now, the reason why guys at today we’re doing all the split testing is the lower our cost per lead, lower our cost per click or cost per Engagement or cost per sale or conversion Whatever it is that we’re going for Alright.

So the creative same thing, if you’re doing this, we’re going to be actually hitting this later in the add section. Alright, so you go through, you create your normal audience. Okay, you set like okay. Where do you want to be placed and all this different stuff? And then you can say you know you want link, clicks, landing, page views. What do you want and then you would go and set a budget we hit continue And this is actually where we would set up the split test.

Ok, so add name. Ok, so a day right here We could even run it from different Facebook pages right. It’s like we wanted one from your Personal brand versus one from your company’s brand and then we can say hey. Maybe this one. We want to do an image, Whereas down here or we got to go over here to add B Okay, we would maybe want to try out a article Okay, So we can see like which one works better, Which one gets us the best Bang for our buck, Because it’s all, obviously all about return on our ad spend, So some people will go and spell that out.

Roas return on adspend, So ROI return on investment right, and so That’s kind of the key goal of why I want to go through and set all this up. Okay, So anyway, guys, if you have any other questions, drop down a comment below, if you guys found this article helpful, is pretty self-explanatory From here as far as going through and setting up your ad like if you want to go through and choose an Instagram account.

Okay, this is the one I have Integrating here. You upload a article. You go through, throwing it URL to your website some text, all that stuff, But keep in mind guys only change out one thing. So if on add, B you’re doing a article versus add a you’re doing An image, you want to make sure that this text is all exactly the same. Okay, You want to make sure your call-to-action bowl says, learn more.

You want to make sure that is all Exactly the same as well. You want to make sure it’s setting to the same exact landing page, Because you really want to get a good idea of. Is it the ad that we’re testing out right here, Or maybe you found an ad that works really well, And so you want to test out the landing page like? Is it the headline of a landing page, the call-to-action, the colors? The aim, Like the background, like what is it that really we want to go through and test.

Okay. Now, in my personal experience, The simpler the landing pages, the better just like playing back background of white, Very clear text, just very simple page – that loads, quick and I’ll, get you the right information. That’s what’s I’ve seen his work best So anyway, guys and also, if you guys, want my facebook ads mini course, I’m going to add a link down in the description as well to that Facebook guys mini course and walk you through the Facebook guys manager.

How does have the Facebook pixels? Obviously you got this article right here which helps you with split testing, but will give you a whole rundown of how to set up these ads, like the pros cons of doing different things and just kind of give you a little behind-the-scenes look of my business of What I do and Anyway so hopefully that’s helpful. How to Use Facebook Ads for Beginners (2020) – A Complete Facebook Ads Tutorial

I’ve spent close to half a million dollars now on Facebook. So I feel, like I know, a thing or two.

This is this: is an old old account? You can see right here lifetime. Just so, you know a little under 6000. This is back time when I was testing and then I made more of an official business account And that’s where I do most of my spending right. So that’s for me personally in my business, But then I’ve spent another. I don’t know hundred thousand, maybe four other clients, so We’ve really gone through and nailed down a lot of the different strategies and obviously there’s always more to learn: there’s always Things that are changing with Facebook and you need to stay on top of that.

But with this I want to give you guys a quick run-through from A to Z, so Right here guys Just to give you a quick overall view these. These are all of your campaigns alright And we’re going to walk through There’s good, There’s three types of things: There’s a campaign There’s an ad set and then there’s an ad okay. So, like campaign is kind of like at the top, And then you can have multiple ad sets to the campaign, And then you can have multiple ads in each one of the ad sets right.

So just to break that down. It’s actually easiest to go through and start creating campaign to explain each one of the different Meanings of what those all are cuz like you’re, probably okay, Just what the heck are those right. So if we click on create campaign right here, all right, It’s going to See we’ll start over. It says: What’s your marketing objectives, okay, So there’s a lot of different things here And we need to choose the objective that best suits us of what we’re shooting for.

Okay, so we’ve got Brent of awareness right here, consideration or conversion, so Facebook they have so much data that they know. If they’re going to show an ad in front of somebody. They know if somebody’s going to read A article like more likely to read a article or more likely to like or comment a post like for me. I don’t really like and comment on a lot of posts, but I’ll click on a lot of links, And so they’ll probably know okay I’ll, show Jason ads that are more traffic base of people.

So traffic is basically like you Them to click to your website or to a blog post or something like that where it’s article views. That’s like posting a article on Facebook. You you just want people to read it. You don’t want necessarily them to click anywhere Engagement. That’s just like clicking that boost post button on your Facebook page. That’s to get people to like and comment and share on your posts and Facebook knows the people that are more likely to do that came and right here.

There’s lead generation, That’s using Facebook’s lead forms Which we could shoot another article another day, if you guys want a article specifically on that Just comment down below, because I can go through and show you step by 7. The cool thing about this is: It gives you their name phone email address, whatever information you want, But it automatically pulls the information that Facebook has on file so a lot of times.

You can eliminate a lot of the bogus information When it comes to lead generation. Right now Messages this is kind of a newer one, but this is really hot right now of just like, you know, they click hey, I’m interested to call to action is send message, and then it starts a conversation in your facebook, Messenger, okay and I’ve seen some Crazy awesome results with facebook, Messenger and then Conversions right here.

This is using. This is diving a little bit deeper And I’ve got some other articles on this, but using Facebook’s, pixel, Okay, So they’re pixel is basically their way of tracking everyone that comes to your website. Everyone that becomes a lead all that stuff, which we can hit a little bit on that today, But will also I’ve got. I’ve got actually another article that I’ll link here Be able to show you guys how to actually make that happen.

Okay And how to set that up and use it on your website, so these are all the different ones. So, for this one, Let’s just say We’re going to go with traffic alright, And this obviously is based off of your goals of what you want to go through and do I didn’t really hit brand awareness. Brand Awareness is just getting like a massive reach, getting like more exposure than anything. You know it kind of like that in store visits, catalog sales.

This is a little bit more advanced And it depends on like what type of business you’re in so I’ve actually never used those Just because I’m not in that type business. But if you use you’re, working with like a physical location Like store visits, obviously are going to be huge or catalog sales. That’s probably going to Be really more to e-commerce. Alright, so let’s just say traffic right here And then we could give the campaign a name.

So we’ll just say: demo traffic campaign right So come over here and just really quick back I’ll show you, Let’s just click back right here. You can’t set a limit to the campaign. Saying hey, I don’t want to spend any more than 200 bucks, 500 bucks whatever or 50 or whatever the number is, But I typically don’t do that. I just kind of keep my eye on the campaigns and read them. So what does it continue here? Okay, So the campaign so like we’ve got the three Different pieces of the campaign, which is kind of like the overall, the highest part of the pyramid.

I guess and you’ve got ad sets where you can have multiple ad sets within the campaign. Okay and then the ad right here, So your campaign is the objective: do you want two people to read articles traffic get leads? What do you want to happen, then? Your ad set? This is where it gets into the Targeting of fining, like what’s the audience like. What’s the demographic you want to target? What’s your budget, You can see right here.

They break it down They’ve, actually they change this about a year ago And they made it really simple to kind of see all the steps like your objective. Okay, now the trap. Okay is traffic? Who do you want the audience to be? Where do you want to be placed? You want to be on your mobile phone, a Desktop on Instagram on all these different platforms, and then your budget. So it’s like hey. Do you want to spend five hours a day? You want to spend $ 100 a day like how much do you want to spend okay so over here as we come down, and we can give this a name to so we’ll say demo a Traffic ad set, and then you can.

I typically would like at this point to just give it a name based off the audience Right which we don’t know yet something just kind of create this on the fly. But it’s kind of cool because you see like the potential reach of what you’ve got so far and we’ll break it down. You’ll see how this number right here is: 200 million. How, as we go through and break this down, It’ll shrink but you’re getting more narrow.

More specific, Okay! So when I’m running a campaign, if it’s, if it’s like a national campaign like all across like the US or Canada or whatever country you live in, I Like to get a few hundred thousand people in that campaign, because Facebook works better with more data. Okay, So, like the bigger the audience, the bigger at work, it works. However, if it gets too big if it’s getting to like three four five million, Sometimes you’ve got to like nail injure your targeting a little bit better.

If it’s like a super broad market, then great Like if you’re selling, I don’t know like Weight, loss, stuff, cuz, that’s a pretty broad market. But if you’re like in more of a specific niche, you probably want to stick around like the one to two million on the higher end right. That’s at least what I’ve seen. But then, if you’re doing like local ads. Obviously, it’s kind of based off of How many people live in your town in your city, right like you, live in Chicago versus, I don’t know like it’s.

Some small town in South Dakota right like you’re, going to Have a lot fewer people, But you don’t want to be reaching out to people in North Dakota because this is not going to be within that right. Demographic, okay, So come down here traffic. I just leave this here. Nice thing is some of the stuff. You don’t really even have to touch It’s. It’s not like it’s super important so offer I don’t do anything there and then custom audiences.

This is a little bit advanced, so we’ll hit that in another article and then four locations – Let’s say let’s say this is let’s just say this is a local, app, okay, We’re running it for a local weather, we’ll say a real estate agent. Just because That’s I work a lot in the real estate space and the mortgage space. So let’s say: okay, We’re going to come down here and we’ll say. Or do we want to be a tape? Orlando, Florida, Okay, So we’ll type in Orlando Florida and lay this? They went from 200 million down to two million people right here now.

What, if I run in a local ad, this locations of this drop down it by default, is going to say everyone in this location, But I typically would want to do people who live in this location? Okay, because it’s like hey, I just want people who live in this location and that’s good for real estate. But if you’re doing like it for a restaurant – And you just want everyone that location, because, if they’re busy and as a matter if they’re visiting You want to be able to target them as well or you can do piece people recently in this location.

So if they were there But they’re, not there anymore or people traveling this location so like if you’re like running ad for more tourists type stuff, You can do that as well. So For this one with real, We’ll just say, people who live in this location And then you can see that without narrowed down to 1.5 million, because well That is kind of a touristy spot right. So now what we could do Is we can go through and say: hey.

I only want it with people in the current city, Okay, so which that’s going to nail down to eight hundred eighty thousand, or do you say hey, I want to do more of a radius Okay, so you can go up to 50 miles or down to ten Miles so just because this is a little bit bigger city Right, we can do a 10-mile radius, okay, so now we’re going down and As far as the age range you got to kind of think of, like your target demographic, Like how old are they like somebody? If we’re doing real estate, It’s looking to find someone, That’s looking to buy or sell a home, Then 18 year olds – probably not going to be in that demographic.

So I’d say that we like to go up to at least Like a 25 26 27. Something like that, and so you can see how you’re narrowing down This as well. You Go through. You could type in languages, It’s like. If you only want to work with people that speak English or you could say, hey. I want to work. I know there’s it’s a big Hispanic market in that area, so you could just say hey. I want Spanish, So you can kind of see as two hundred twenty thousand people or you can just say, hey, You know I work with, doesn’t matter what language they speak.

If they they live in the u.S, They probably speak a little bit of English, so I’ll just leave it at that. So I’ll, typically just cuz I’d speak English. I’ll just put that in Now guys. This is where it gets pretty cool right here: Okay, the detailed targeting okay, so the detailed targeting you could do some really cool stuff here. So What I like to do you go through and browse? You can browse by demographics, so somebody’s education, Okay, it’s education, level, They’ve got a college degree or they’ve.

Just high school or they’re in college They’re in high school They’ve got a master’s degree, So you can get pretty like bit and obviously this is not always something that you have to go through and choose, But sometimes depending on your ad you’re. Creating this can be really helpful, So it’s just good to know some of these different things that are in here or financial. You can say hey. I only want to hit higher income people, so people they’re making over half a million dollars a year.

Okay Or I can target the lower or like kind of like the middle-income or something like that or saying, hey net worth, okay, Because if you got like a high value, real estate property. For sticking with this, you probably like somebody – that’s only like – has a $ 100,000 net worth. It might not be able to afford a five-minute. Well, They can’t afford a five million dollar property. Okay, so that’s kind of cool right here and then also, I said what hits of these things, because these are like What I like found somebody stuff with some of these things in here I was like wow there’s a lot of stuff.

You could do so. I don’t want just open up your guy’s eyes And your mind is seeing some of the different things that we can do here. Alright, so you can do home ownership, Which is big for obviously real estate mortgage. You say: hey, I’m looking for people to first-time homebuyers home type life events Interests you see like okay, You want people like there’s one where let me find this There’s what old behaviors.

I think it is okay, Where it talks about people’s purchase. Behavior right this right here, So people that are like more likely to make big purchases online if you’re doing like ecommerce type stuff, see these buyer profiles, Coupon users that, like it’s crazy, how much data Facebook has because Facebook now has the data that you give them. But through Facebook’s pixel they can actually track What sites you’re going to.

They know what what links you’re clicking on What ads you’re clicking on so they’ve actually got a lot a lot. A lot of data on you, Okay, cuz. Some people last times were like well. How do they know that I, like I like skiing – I don’t like any of the skiing pages, but You know maybe you’re clicking on those those ads or something like that. So they’ve got. I mean I’m not going to go through all these, but they’ve got tons of things down here or you can just say, hey They’re, interested in real estate.

You could just type that in okay, so right here interests or Behaviors either. One of these, the difference between interested behaviors interest is basically they’ve liked. Something related to real estate on Facebook. Behaviors is kind of like they’ve, more acted upon something like they’ve, that’s more of like they click the link or something like that. It’s anyway guys, you guys could get lost in this forever.

I’m not going to dive in super deep more on this, just because we’ve already, I feel like hit that pretty well So adding the connection type this right here. I don’t always really do this, but you could say hey. I want them to be people who, like I wanted. I want to just target people who have liked my facebook page already, so it’s like that’s kind of your warm audience Or if you want to like expand a little bit.

But you know how have some of the ads that says: hey So-and-so, like you’re, one of your friends, also likes this page. This is where you can go through and do that so you say: hey friends of people who, like your page or if you want to just Expand and get new people say: hey only. Eight people Exclude people who, like my page, because this is not those like my patients only for new people coming in okay, so now coming down What we could do here so automatic placements a lot of times they have this here by default.

I like to do edit placements and Just so you can see like all the different places we can have these ads. You have it on the newsfeed, so this Mobile and desktop used to be separate, And now it’s just one of the same. If we want to make it just on mobile or just on desktop right here on device types, It says all devices recommended, which I usually leave it at that, but you can say only on mobile devices or only on desktop computers.

Okay, so that’s just something really! Quick there and Then, as we’re going down here, I like to just typically leave it on the Facebook news, feeds and uncheck everything else: okay, Just because I’ve seen the best results with that. However, I just wanted to show you some of the different places you can have these dad’s okay, So you could have it on there instant articles, There’s kind of like a newer blogging type platform Industry articles.

This is kind of like what YouTube’s already been doing. Having like the streaming articles before a article, you know right column, you guys have seen that on your desktop top right lot of times, you get cheaper ad Space for that, just because it not as many people click on that. However, It could still convert extremely well and then right here. This is where you do it on Instagram, okay, Facebook owns Instagram, and So, if you wanted to show on Instagram as well, you say hey, I want to show it in the newsfeed or at the very top on the stories.

Okay, so that’s kind of a cool little feature there. Then you’ve got all these different ones. You know, if you want to do messenger and say hey, I want them to click and go to messenger, or you can actually have it an ad. In essence, pop up in that person, Messenger box, Okay, which it’s kind of crazy right – okay, Now just scroll down here guys. I Don’t really touch this right here and then, as far as the budget, you can do a daily budget.

So I want to spend five bucks a day or a lifetime budget. Just saying hey, I Only want to spend $ 35 $ 100 $ 50 or whatever It is. I typically just like to do a daily budget. Okay and you can start out at whatever number, whatever suits your budget right now. If you have an audience of like seven hundred thirty thousand, you can start at like a higher number like you could start Technically, you know, let’s say 50 or 75 dollars a day.

I like to start normally like around twenty twenty-five dollars a day if I have like a massive massive budget, But if you’re reading this article you’re probably more of a beginner. So if you start around like the five to ten dollar range, That’s probably just that’s perfect. Right so we come in here and then this is. This is something That’s that’s cool Like what I like to do sometimes is when I start a new ad campaign, I like to give it the whole entire day so like right now, I think it’s like 6:00 a.

M.. On a Saturday. I I just woke up. I couldn’t sleep, It’s like I’m just going to shoot a article, So I like to get the full day and let it run so that I can kind of like see the whole day’s data. It’s so like. If it’s. If it’s right here so we say I like to start like, maybe on a Monday, okay and then we’ll say, look We’ll start at 8:00 a.M. Okay and then, since we’re a daily budget, Well, you can’t have a Start end date and then still a daily budget, or you could say, hey, run my ad set continuously, But I like to kind of like have a start date right, and so all that switched Up on me, so we come over here: 8:00 a.

M.. Cuz, then. So, if that’s Monday, at 8:00 a.M. On Tuesday, when I like kind of gets you my ads and stuff around like 8 or 9 a.M.., I Can see a full day’s worth now. Really quick, quick tip, if you guys are only spending $ 10 a day. I would give it probably three to four to five days before you go through and evaluate Whether your campaign is work Not because sometimes it takes a little bit of time for Facebook to go, optimize it and find the right people and the more data They have.

The better They’ll be able to optimize it for you, okay, so despite popular belief, Facebook actually wants you to succeed, because if you succeed, you spend more money with them and it’s great for everyone right. But at the same time you got to have a good ad that that really is fitting with your target demographic Which we’ll talk about ads here in a second okay. So That’s kind of like what I like to do so if it started on Monday from 8:00.

At 8:00 a.M, I could check it, Maybe that next Tuesday Just kind of get a quick glimpse of what it’s looking like. But if I’m only spend $ 10 a day But you’ll wait to like Wednesday or Thursday and really determine if it’s a winning ad or if it’s it’s, not right, okay, So coming down here, link clicks, I typically don’t really mess with any of this, and that Doesn’t matter it like, doesn’t matter what campaign I’m Ronnie, I just like leave it just because lots of Facebook’s basic stuff is kind of like already set to where you want to have it.

Okay! So then, we’ll come over here to the the ads section right and You need a business page, Whether it’s your personal and your business, one or whatever You need a business page in order to run ads, you can’t run it from your personal profile. Okay, now It’s nice because it’s super easy to go through and create your your own Facebook page free, easy takes like two seconds all right, Then, if you’re also advertised on Instagram, you can connect your Instagram account right here right now, the cool thing is is, if You haven’t existed like let’s say you made a post on your Facebook page and, and you want to use that you can just click on use existing post and That you can go through and select one of your previous post right here.

Okay, Now, if you go through and you’re creating a new ad inside a Facebook Ads manager, this is what’s called some people call it a blind ad and the reason why it’s called a blind ad Is because this is actually not going to show up on your Facebook page in the newsfeed Right so there’s the two types you can go: make the post on your Facebook page And then use it as an existing post and use that in your ad campaign or if you Inside here it actually does not show up And there’s Pros and cons to both some people don’t want it to be like if you’re, excluding people from your Facebook page, It’s only a special offer special something for people that don’t like you your page.

Yet then you could do that. Sometimes it’s nice to have it on your Facebook page, Because then you get some free, organic exposure, some likes and comments that you don’t have to pay for, and It looks like those posts, sometimes look a little bit more natural. It’s not like a straight up at Because they’re going to look a little bit different, like an ad inside of ads manager, you’re going to have like the headline The sub headline is going to like Be like I mean you’re just going to be, like you ask See that you see everyday, whereas in a post on Facebook, It’s not necessarily going to look as much like an ad and she kind of like almost, I guess, not trick people But like make them think it’s not an ad.

It is still will say sponsored at the top, But those are some quick little differences there Now we’ll hit these really quick. Just because this is a tutorial for beginners. I want to give a full Rundown of everything. It’s like the carousel. This is we’ll just kind of show: They’ve got like the little demos right here. This is where you can go through and you can have multiple little different images or pictures so like this is kind of nice if you’re in e-commerce and You’ve got like different products that they might be interested in right of like hey, We got this or this Or this, then, that you could just come down here and change these different ones Just through here you can add it, It could be an image or a article.

One thing I’d like to do in the past, with when I’m trying to get more clients is I’ll. Do a carousel ad right like this, But also have different testimonials, so all like going out four or five testimonials like Hey this person, this happened or this person. This happened this person. This happened like real estate. You could potentially feature multiple listings that you have right. Where I like to typically just do one listing, if I’m a real estate agent, Borrowing my business but that’s an option there, you do a single image ad, which I’m sure most of you guys have all seen.

Just it’s just one main core image: the single article Same type of thing, but it’s just a article. Instead of an image Slideshow, I actually have never really used slideshow, but it’s like kind of just that You can see like it says, create a looping article ad with up to ten images. Okay and then Collection right here. I’ve never used this as well. So I’m not going to like go speak to it. I’m not an expert on it feature collection of items that open into a full-screen mobile experience; Okay, so that could be cool.

Okay, Let’s start now, I would highly recommend starting out with a single image or a single article. Here’s the I guess. Basic simplest wants to do so. Let’s say single image, So you can go in here, upload an image You can see there free stock images or browse the library all to see. I don’t even know what images I’ve got Well, she’s like the core, the made the popular profile picture. I always use on everything.

Oh so, if it looks like this guys, There’s a tool, that’s called canvas, yay and va.Com. It will see if this really quick cuz. This is important Like this ad right here. This same thing was happening like this: lady’s head was getting like cut off Cave just kind of like how my heads getting cut off. So what I did on canva is, you can go through and they’ve got all of these Dimensions that are already pre-built for you.

Okay, so, like facebook, add a YouTube thumbnail, This is what I use. Do you make all my YouTube thumbnails. This is the old Facebook, a total dimensions. Facebook cover Facebook, post, Instagram post the college different things So I’ll just hit this and then what I’ll do is I’ll upload. You can just upload the image It makes it really easy to upload. Okay – and let’s say this – is the image right here: Okay, so now, if I go through – and I throw it in right here – and We can make a little background – Let’s see what the background should be.

Maybe this cool house – That’s probably not going to fit that great. I, Like this house, is my background. Actually, Okay, and obviously this is probably Anyway, You guys can see it’s pretty easy. You just like drag and drop everything, and then you can kind of like move. You around all that stuff and then You could even type text. Okay, so test ad Will change that to be white, so they can see it a little bit better to change the font.

Okay, we just maybe throw this up in the corner, and Do it also really quick guys if you have more than 20 % Text in your facebook, add image You’re going to get disapproved Okay, so I actually typically like to have as little text if no text As possible, So this is actually typically what I do on at YouTube thumbnail This doesn’t matter but on something like this I like to like, maybe have like. Maybe it’s like hey and obviously this is not like what I do for real estate.

I’ve got other strategies and stuff like that. But let’s say if you want to throw an image of you or somebody in there have a little background image And then you let your your headline and sub-headline do the talking? Okay, Which will show you guys here in a second now We can download this and Upload it into Facebook, Ads manager. Well, it’s just for this one, I’m just going to browse the library.

I want to show you guys that really quick, Add images we’ll just use something right here that we’ve already got in place. I Will just use this: It’s a it’s a home right, okay! So then we’ll throw in the URL like let’s say, for this example, We’re just doing it to Google. Obviously, you’re not you’re, going to put in the URL of your Your landing page and and I’ll hit another article on that. But you don’t want to send it to your main website or your blog.

It you’re going to waste a lot of money, You’re not going to generate any leads, but obviously it depends on what your goal is right. That campaign objective up here. So if you just want people to read your blog post, then yeah, you could just send them to your blog right. But if you want to generate leads, you want to send to a landing page which all I’ll have another article on that. But that’s kind of where we want to go there, so the text right here The Facebook’s made this pretty easy guys You just kind of go through okay.

What’s the website, you want to send people to what’s the text, you can say test text Copy right here. This is just like your main Facebook post, like what you want to say in there. You can make this as long as you want, can make it like a long long story. You can make it very quick, and what I like to do here, Just is, is a tutorial kind of for beginners, like letting you know how I like to write my my eat.

My copy Excuse me guys, so I like to go through first thing. I like to do is call out my audience. Second thing I like to do is do something to pique their interest and To give them kind of a call to action and then add some value and then another call to action so like, for example, Let’s say Orlando Homeowners, Okay, so that’s calling out my audience. Okay, so I’m targeting people in Orlando And if you’re a homeowner and I can go through back in my interest and say hey – I only want people that are homeowners, so you have specific.

But then, if you’re live in Orlando and your homeowner – and you see Orlando homeowners, That’s going to peak your attention right, that’s going to be like oh hey! This is for me, You could say. Are you looking to sell your home in the Next three to six months? Okay! So now that’s like weeding out through Orlando homeowners, kay, If you’re not looking to sell your home You’re going to keep scrolling You’re done.

I’m not talking to you Say. Are you looking to sell your home in the next three to six months and then, and obviously this I’m just creating this on the fly You could say like Alright look like let’s say, I’ve got somebody looking to buy a home Okay, I have a family of Three looking to purchase a home in the I don’t know where Lana that well so we’ll just say blank Area so like if you were wanting to get like specific to like a community, you know Who is hoping to purchase their Dream home within the next Few Months, okay and then we can say like full details, click here And then we can have a link, so we’re going to have the link.

So if they click on this image right here, That’s going to take them to the the site, but also Is sometimes nice. Add the link inside this copy too, because there’s a reading it lot of times people read Ads or anything online with their mouse. I don’t but a lot of times people do, and so, if you’re they’re going through and they’re like, Oh well, Do you look here? It’s just easy to click right, and So you can add like sometimes it can be as simple and click quick as that or you can add a little bit more.

Sometimes I typically just leave it at that. So light-cone have the audience and then of those people hey. Are you looking to sell your home next 36 months, we’re weaning it down and then we’re adding like it’s like a little value. Add like hey guys, get like if you’re going to sell. I’ve Already got a family of three looking to purchase a home in this specific area. Now, obviously you don’t want to like make that up.

You want to be like legit, But you want to be. Some value. Add there to get them to be like to pique their interest of like okay, What separates you from all the other real sage and stuff like? Why would I want to sell my home with you? You know I mean so then For the headline. This is where that google spot is going to be. We can say, are you Yeah we’ll just say? Are you looking to sell your home okay and that’s going to pop up right there and Then we could say: hey call to action.

Learn more. We’ve got several ones right here, We’d say no button. I don’t want it to look like an out-of-time, so we’re just going to say hey just like. Are you looking to sell your home or read more so this is kind of depends on like what your goal is right a Lot of times. I will typically do just learn more Just because, like it kind of like it’s, not Something of like hey, download now or donate now, or Buy Now or sign up or something like that, That’s a little bit you put a guard up or as learn more, It’s Like most people are fine Learning a little bit more about something right: Okay, so we’ll just actually I didn’t click that learn more, so leave it at that.

Okay And then I I took – we don’t hit this and then this display light link. You can change that if you want, I typically just leave it in then a newsfeed link in description, so we can say test Copy right here. That’s going to Pop up down here as your sub headline. This is the mobile view. You can see mobile newsfeed and this is only going to show up on your desktop newsfeed. So if we go through and we Scroll and hit this, this is going to show all the difference ad placements that we chose in the ad set level.

Okay, So we chose news feeds, It’s going to show this one right here, and this is another view of it. Okay, And this is what its going to look like on your desktop newsfeed, so I can see test copy. Let’s say we can say Orlando home owners. Looking to sell in the next three to six months, I usually do this like a little shortened version of what I’m talking about here. Okay, so It says Earl an emotionally going to sell in the next three six months.

We have a family Looking to buy something like that, and this is like learn more okay, So just like a quick, So I’ll give them they’re scrolling through and they kind of Skim past. All this then they see this. Are you looking to sell your home Line of home or just looking to sell the next few six months We have a family looking to buy and they’re like? Oh, What’s this all about, learn more, They go to your website, okay and then down here.

All this URL parameters – That’s super advanced stuff. You don’t need to mess with that. Honestly, I don’t really miss that even still – and I’ve spent a couple thousand dollars a day on Facebook, So facebook pics will leave that leave this I’ll leave. All that use hit confirm Good to go Okay, so some other little last tidbits of things if we come over here to ads manager. This is so like this is going to Be.

Will save leave this page okay, so This is taking you back to this area. You can filter through stuff by lifetime. You want to see everything for the whole lifetime Or you can see how your campaigns just performing today or last 7 days lost times. Last 7 days You got ta, keep in mind, It doesn’t show the day of ok. So that’s just going to show the last seven full days or last 14, full days Last times I like to look at it at the last seven days, Okay and see what it’s like this.

So you can see I’m not running any ads And then you kind of mix it up and say like okay, I want to see it by Performance or delivery, so delivery would be like how many people are being reached thrive or engagement. How many like Reactions comments, shares links like all the different information there, so you can kind of like Go through and scroll through what, by what you want to see it, and then you can see here, you can see your campaigns ad sets and ads Okay.

So if you want to go through and say hey I want to get. I want to nail down on a specific like let’s say this foreclosure leads. This is only going to show the ad sets that are within that campaign and then, if we click on this, it’s going to Just dive deeper. So, like you got campaign you clicked on so it says one selected, Adsense, There’s only one ad set in this campaign. We click on this, so it just dives deeper now We’re at the ad level.

So there’s just this one ad and if you’re like crap, I want to like see what it looks like. I can’t remember what it looks like we just hit this. It will hit preview and it’s going to pop up what this looks like a So we kind of see what this looks like. If you want to see what it looks like actually in the newsfeed You’re going to hit Hey click on this say Facebook post with comments, and This will pop up what this actually looks like.

So if you wanted to like, like it yourself right there, you could just throw in a like right there and This kind of it switches between what profiles or pages you have on your account. I’ve got a lot. You probably don’t have as many as me. Okay, so those are some different things and then also up here, this hamburger menu, You get all tools. This goes and tot kind of takes. You in different Aspects like you can create different custom audience so, like I’ve got a article on this.

Actually, where you can upload your All of your contacts into Facebook, you know Maps their name phone and email with the name phone email, But they have a file with Facebook, which is kind of cool Facebook, pixels, Which I’ve got a article on that’ll out of here. As well On tracking, so that’s kind of cool. So if you guys all add these articles like, if you guys, click in that top section, Where there’s like the little circle with the eye I’ll have some of those different articles here.

So you guys can kind of explore some more of these different things, And then this is where you can go set up like the billing and all at them, Like the admin type stuff, and so anyway, I’m not going to hit all these things. This is just quick. Obviously it’s a little bit longer tutorial, But anyway, if you guys want to learn something specific, there’s something that I didn’t cover in today’s article.

I hope I covered a fair amount, But if there’s something that I didn’t cover today, make sure you guys leave a comment down below Also if this was helpful, Go ahead and hit hit like and let me know I I want to bring you guys and help You guys up as much as possible And if you guys are not subscribed to blog, make sure you subscribe. So anyway, guys Thanks so much for reading today and hope you guys all have an amazing day.

FACEBOOK ADS MANAGER Tutorial (2019) – Campaigns Vs. Ad Sets Vs. Ads

So, let’s dive in and the easiest way to really explain all this stuff. You can see kind of you have the look at your campaigns, your ad sets and your ads right up here.

So you can just click and flip through each one of those tabs and The campaign, if you think about it like, should be drawing something like a board or something like that. It’s kind of like at the top and then you kind of like it’s like a pyramid right. So within one Campaign you can have multiple ad sets and then within each ad set you can have multiple ads All right. So, for example, like one campaign might be to get leads and then you’re targeting people in you know Texas, you’re, targeting people in Florida you’re targeting people in California.

Those would be different ad sets and then you would have different. You could have different ads within each one of those ad sets or You could have the same ads within each Mo’s. That says now. I know that’s probably confusing, Let’s jump in and break down exactly What all these are. So if we click on create’ right here, You can see so it’s start over. We have the campaign Okay, so campaign. It says: what’s your marketing objectives Like what do you want to do? Do you want to get people to click to your website? Do you want people to like or comment on your Facebook post? You want people to convert into leaves you want people to go through and make a purchase like.

What do you want So like that’s, basically telling Facebook, because the truth is guys. Facebook has so much data on all of their users that they know what users are more likely to click to a website. They know which users are more likely to kalaiy or comment a post, which ones are more likely to buy something online or by some Specific product online or to opt into a lead generation site. So all that different stuff.

So, that’s why you want to tell them exactly What you’re wanting to do And that’s why a lot of people actually fail with Facebook Ads as they’ll go through and on their Facebook page. So let me just pull up my Facebook page, really quick to show you guys this example So on their Facebook page here, They’ll come down and they’ll make a post And what happens if this will ever load up is you’ll. Get this little boost post button right here, Okay, on every single post that you make boost post and then people will be like, oh well, I boosted my post.

I, like you, know I put money behind it. I did the targeting all that stuff because they made it really simple: just click right. There Cuz obviously they’re going to make it simple, because this is an easy way for Facebook to make money. Then you just go through choose your targeting, who you want to target and you hit boost right. You spend five ten twenty bucks a day, However, when you go through and hit boost posts, this is choosing the market objective of Engagement.

Okay, Which means Facebook is going to show that posts of people more likely to like and comment on your posts, Not necessarily go and click to your website or generate a lead or make a sale or any of that stuff. So Sometimes you do want to do that. Sometimes you do want to go, get the engagement, the social proof behind a post. That’s really good for branding Right, but you don’t always want to do that So the campaign that is your marketing objectives And will hit those different market objectives here in just a second and then your ad set.

This is your targeting Okay! It’s who you want to target This is going to where you’re going to target the custom audiences that we’ve created the look-alike audiences. Alright, this is where you’re going to choose the age, the gender. If you wanted to do interest or a specific location, Any of that! That’s all in the ad set level: that’s telling Facebook who you want to target And then you can see and they’ve made it really simple.

That used to not have it like this, But they made the structure very, very simple, Okay, and So you can see this. The audience like I just explained in the placement, So what the placement is is. Are you going to place your ad on Facebook, I’m the newsfeed? Are you going to place into Facebook right hand, column? Are you going to place it in the Instagram newsfeed? So it’s kind of like old, traditional marketing.

Do you want in the magazine? Do you also want in the newspaper? Do you want it on the billboard? Do you want on the radio So just like all the different places that Facebook owns, which they actually own? Quite a bit of space right So, like you’ve got the Facebook stories. We’ve got the Instagram stories. You’ve got. You know the Instagram newsfeed Facebook newsfeed, So we’re ever. You want to place it we’re going to dive into which placements, I believe, are the best and when you should go through, and You know, expand it out to more places We’ll get into all that stuff here.

But then also your your budget and your schedule, like You, want to spend five dollars a day, ten dollars a day, a hundred dollars a day, or do you want to spend a lifetime budget of $ 100 over the course of a month? Or do you want this? The campaign spent $ 5 and ongoing until you shut it off Whatever it is, and then the ad is obviously what you actually see on Facebook or even on Instagram. So it’s the image, it’s the headline, It’s the text and the copy of all that stuff and we’ll get into the different ad formats And when to use each one and how to use each one.

What what things to really think about here in a later article! So with that said guys what, when it comes to what your market objective, there’s there’s several things that we got ta think about and, like I said, We need to know what our marketing objective is and Facebook has all this data on all of these users. So if we want to send people to our Website just to kind of check out a new blog post that we have or whatever We’re going to use traffic, if we want them to like or comment on our Facebook posts, We would use engagement.

Okay, if, obviously, if you guys have a app or something like that mobile app you’d use this one, I’ve never used it. If you want people to go through and read a article that you’ve promoted, you’d use article views because Facebook knows which people are more Likely to sit on their phone or souther computer and read a article on Facebook All right Now this one, as I mentioned earlier, If you’re brand new starting out, You don’t have any custom audience of any existing users or any existing buyers or leads, or anything like that.

This is a great one, because then you go shoot a you know two three-minute article talking about your product services, whatever it is, Promote it for, like five bucks, a day run it for ten days You spend fifty bucks and you’ll have a few thousand people. Usually you can get article views for about one penny per article view Okay. So if you look at that and that’s a three second article view, that’s not like a ten or you know, 25 percent view of the article.

But if you look at that, you Five dollars per day – That’s 500 people that are reading the article and it’s going to be exposed and reached a lot more than that. So that’s a really quick and easy way, simple way to go through and expand that audience lead generation right here is not necessarily using Landing pages kay we’re going to actually do as section on lead forms, because that’s a little bit a little bit different.

But basically, you run an ad and it’s to get a lead right: schisms, name, phone number, email address or even physical address and Then, instead of sending them to another website like a landing page to get that lead. What you’re going to do is there’s a pre-built form on Facebook. They click it, It pops open and then it pre-populates with all the information they already have on file with Facebook.

Okay, so it’s really cool. It’s really powerful. There are some pros to it. There are some cons to it, We’ll cover those as well and then messages. This is to get people opting in and starting that communication with facebook Messenger, Which is super powerful as well. If you go through kind of the facebook Messenger bot course that we’ve got the module in here, then that’s going to be able to help you as well with this piece and then We’ve got conversions, which this one is going to be more.

This one’s going to be big time with landing pages right or, if you’re, converting somebody into an actual purchase or sale or whatever. So that’s with the pixels, creating those custom, conversions all that That’s where you’re going to use this now catalog sales. This is going to be a lot more for e-commerce stuff, but to be completely honest, I’ve not done a ton with that, because I don’t run ecommerce stuff store visits.

This is a newer one. I haven’t done a lot with that Brand awareness and reach. I messed around with those a little bit, But as far as like going through and reaching a broad audience and building a custom audience, I like to use article views still for that. So So those are kind of different things, and one thing that I would like to just kind of like Just say so you guys kind of are aware On this traffic one.

You might look at that. You may like, oh, why would I ever use that? So I’m just going to use the conversions or the lead generation right here if you’re trying to generate leads. However, If you guys remember from the retargeting section, If you’re not spending enough money each week to get at least twenty convert, You actually want to do this traffic campaign. Okay, because Facebook’s their conversion algorithm, It really optimizes and really starts working which you’re getting about 15 to 20 conversions per week.

So that’s about two to three per day. So if you’re spending only like two to three dollars on a retarding campaign, That’s probably not enough money being spent to actually get those 15 to 20 conversions. So I would do is. I would spend two to three dollars on the the traffic campaign and run that okay, So those are just kind of some of the different marketing objectives, We’ll get diamond deep into each one of these will show you guys how to set them up.

I just kind of wanted to get to that and explain like why you would use different ones and when you would and Then even kind of break down the campaigns ad set and AD level. So with that said guys, I will see you in the next article

Daily #57 Facebook Ad Basics 3

So yesterday, or in the last article, article number two, I actually shared with you how to create a like campaign. But I just like to talk to you a little bit more because I’ve had some questions about the value of likes on your fan page and why? You would want to even have a fan page or run a light campaign to it.

So let’s just chat about that a little bit so, first of all, why have a fan page at all? A facebook fan page is a really handy attraction, marketing tool because it’s somewhere, where you can share your skills, you can help other people and while you’re branding yourself at the same time, so it’s an awesome place to share content and give value to your followers. So it’s also somewhere where you can get people onto your email list, and I think I actually mentioned in article to that.

A fan page. They are people on your fan page in any kind of followers in social media are a list in one way, shape or form, so it doesn’t have to specifically be an email list, but you can actually install what we call an app on your fan page where People can be directed immediately that they like the page. You can send them there to that app and they have the option to maybe read a welcome article and opt in for some extra value.

So that’s just a really handy little point there to know that you can get them to like your page and also get the lead all in the one step now. Also in your posts on your page, you can offer people other extra value if they opt into a capture page. So it’s a way of also getting people on to your list, but the moon. Our thing with it is to create a community of really dedicated followers who just really hang on every word that you say, because you’re sharing so much content and giving so much value now, like I said it’s a way of creating a community of devoted followers.

So you would set up, as I said, the new lights taken to the opt-in page when they liked the page and that builds your email list. And then you can move fans to your email list for office and more value really really important to have fans who are interested in what you do and offer so make sure that you’re very targeted. When you’re setting up your light campaign to only attract people who are going to be interested in what you actually do, talk about and share on your page and also remember that people have similar interests, like your friends, have similar interest to you.

My friends have similar interests and, if they’re, very interested in in online businesses and network marketing or whatever your page is about, their friends will possibly also have similar interests. And it’s very easy to read the friends of your fan page as well as their actual fans, which gives it a little bit of a capacity to go sort of viral. So that’s just a little bit more background about why you would want to run a live campaign.

It’S basically due to get more people to your page, so you can engage with them and give them offers where they might opt in to your email list. But you can share just as much value on a fan page, especially with what I’m going to show you now about promoted posts now promoted posts. Now that you have a fan page and people are liking, your page, it’s time to get them engaged now. I said before you want targeted, like so will be interested in what you actually post and you can then promote your posts to create engagement with it.

It’S like a paid advertising campaign. You’Ll remember when we went through all those types of ads page post engagement was one of the types now our promoted posts, an order for immediate sales and really neither is a fan page, it’s more for creating engagement and giving value. Rather than actually making immediate sales, so it’s for engagement, so let’s go in and we’ll do a live demo of a promoted post and I’m actually going to use article number one.

The post on my fan, page, where I made article number one and we’ll set up a promoted post around that so we’re just going to go um. Let me know i’ll just go back here and we’re just going to go, live to my facebook fan page now. We can either go in here directly to my page, or I can go in through manage adverts. I’M going to do this in power editor, so I’ll going through my page, which makes it a little bit easier now.

This might look different to you because I’ve actually got a business page and my other ones work more of my personal account. But this is my business page, my main fan page and over here on the left-hand side. We can go either to add manager or power. Editor now remember, I said: power editor only works if you’re using google chrome as your browser, so click here on power editor and hopefully everything will be up and working in here it’s been I’ve been a little bit obnoxious lately and it hasn’t been uploading everything properly.

So you can see here, there’s 27 changes to be reviewed. Usually, when I come in, I will go and have a look here, but I did try to delete some campaigns the other day, some old campaigns that I actually had created but hadn’t used, and there are some problems in there. So I’m not going to actually do that right now, so we’ll just cancel that now, because it’s not showing all of my campaigns for some reason.

I think I showed you this the other day. We can go up here and reset power editor. Now it will discard those unpublished, changes that are here, but I’m not worried about that at this Sophie, because I’ll have to go back and look into it a little bit further. So it’s just restating power now and now it should come up with all of my campaigns showing up so there we go they’re all showing up there. Now now we’re going to create a new campaign, so we’ll go up here to create campaign and we’re going to create a new campaign which is promoted article number 1 i’ll call it facebook article number one – might even just change that facebook article and number one promoted Post, ok, we’re going to leave it at auction buying type and we need to click on here and put the objective in here and we’re going down here to page post engagement and that’s an advert that boosts your posts.

Ok, click. There will create a new Adsit. So we’ve just got to check here to choose that to create new over and we might put this one in the news feed so we’ll just call a promoted post for the news, feed. Ok and now we need to just go down here and create the ad and we’ll just put news feed, add one and create now it won’t have made all of the creatives. If you remember from last time we did this, so we’ve got to go in here.

Now and edit up our campaign, so everything is pretty much set up in here. I don’t want to set a total advertising campaign budget for this one. So that’s all done now. If we just click here, this will take us to the ad set that we created and I want to edit it well. It’S actually got it all up here now, so we don’t even have to click on edit now daily budget. No, I wouldn’t want to spend $ 11 for this one five dollars daily um.

I will leave the end run. I can close it off whenever I want to now I’ll need to set up a audience, so I want to set up a new audience. So, let’s edit this audience now, it’s already got Australia there. As I said last time, that’s the default city. So I want to add: the united states are here perhaps the United Kingdom and Canada, so they’re the main sort of english-speaking country, so I’ll use those.

Now the mercy of people on my page is slightly older, so rather than 18, maybe we’ll set up for 35 and older and I’ll live it. It all men and all women English. I don’t know if you had to fill up on in, but I always do and now we’re going to go down here to detail targeting now. This article is about advertising on Facebook. So it’s going to be appealing to people who have a network marketing business or an affiliate, marketing business or people in specific companies.

You know network marketing companies, things like that. So, just depending on how you want to set up your ad and who your avatar is. I think really carefully about the targeting, so just for now and for times sake I’ll, just target affiliate marketing people are interested, so that’s an interest in affiliate marketing and we could also do network marketing so as an interest network marketing. So that will do but depending on who, your avatar is think very very carefully, because you want it to be appropriate to what the post is about.

Also are congruent with what your page is about, and we could also have a look in there and see if I’ve got anything about Facebook market and they do and perhaps even Facebook leads it doesn’t have. Facebook leads okay, so we’ll just leave it there at those three now we can include connections like we can include people who are like my page or friends of people who, like my page or I can even exclude people who, like my page, so i’m just going To leave that blank for now and click on save, so that’s our ad set audience setup.

Now we’re going to move down here and choose the placement now I’ve call it newsfeed, so we’re going to get rid of mobile, Instagram and right column and just leave it as news feed. No, it’s all set up here, page post engagement and automatic, so that is pretty much done now. So I can review those changes now. What is our there’s? No ad set up yet so that’s, okay! So we’ll click here on ad sets and now it’s going to take us to adverts.

You can see that and we’re going to need to edit our advert. Now this is a post engagement, so we need to choose the post, but first of all we need to choose the page, and this is the page. I don’t want to do it on Instagram and I’m going to use an existing Pope. So here we go here. We’Re going to select a post, so let’s just go down here and it’s this one here so we’re going to that’s the post that I want to promote and that’s pretty much it all set up and ready to go.

So then we would just click on review changes and it’s up and running and ready to go and our promoted post is being promoted to our audience. So basically, that’s the logistics. Now I’m not going to set this up because I would target it a little better. I’Ve just done that show you how to actually set up a promoted post now you can also do a boosted post just from the post. So if we go back here to use the page and if we just find one of our posts, you know this is a blog post um.

I could actually boost this post. If I wanted to and i’ll just show you how you do this, it’s not there’s not as much optimization and everything from a boosted posts. So it’s a kind of a quick way of doing it and kind of in a way, I suppose, a lazy way of doing it. But i’ll show you how you actually just go in and quickly boost a post, so you can have it either in desktop newsfeed or mobile news feed, and you can target people who, like my page, people who, like the page and their friends which is you know, Quite a broad targeting or you can choose people through targeting, but it’s not going to be as targeted targeting.

If you get what I mean as it is, if you go in and create an ad for a page post engagement, then here you can set all the same things you can set the budget you can set, how long you want it to run to so pretty Much it just doesn’t have as many options as the other way and then you just click boost, and that would be shown to Sean to whoever you indicated here in your audience. So that’s another way to just boost a post really quickly.

Okay, now just back here to the slides. Now I want to keep these articles quite short yesterday or in the last article I said I was going to talk about events and how to promote them today, but it’s quite involved, so I want to leave it until the next article. So why not now go and make yourself a fan page? If you don’t have one and on my Facebook fan page, there is a article there about how to create a fan page and then go in and create your first like campaign, and once you have some likes, then you can start engaging your followers with a promoted Post so there’s a little bit of homework there if you want to get started with that, so now, what’s in the next article, so in the next article I’m going to be covering facebook events and what they actually are and how to create an event and how To promote an event in facebook, so that’s all I’ve got for this article number three I’ll talk to you again really soon, with article number four I’m Katie Johnston,

10X Social Proof With Your Facebook Ads – Facebook Advertising Tips And Strategies

So, yes, obviously you can go through and you can go boost the post and get more likes, get more comments, But I’m not talking about that. I’M talking about how to go through and strategically Leverage and use that Facebook ad, so that we can go through and Compile likes and comments from all the different ad sets that we’re going through and creating.

Now. The thing is, is when we go through and we create multiple ad sets Like, let’s say we’re, creating a campaign, and we want to get conversions. We want to get leads on our landing page Right and then, if we go through, we want to use that same ad, but we duplicate the ad set. What happens is Facebook actually Duplicates that ad and so it’ll be the same exact ad, but it’ll it’ll create a completely new one.

It doesn’t carry anymore over of any of the likes and the comments. So We don’t want this because, like if somebody goes through and let’s say you’re targeting one ad set is targeting, Let’s say Texas right, another ad says targeting Florida or whatever It might be. You know obviously, ad sets are targeting different audience types, whether its geographic location or interest or whatever It might be.

If someone in Florida likes your post, okay Or they have a positive comment or something like that, You want people in Texas to see that same exact thing. Right like or I mean That’s, probably a bad example, because geographical location can kind of get iffy. But let’s say you go going through you’re targeting different interests. You want people to go through and see that there’s a lot of social proof That is the power of Facebook Advertising, or I seen that other people.

Besides us them are liking. It they’re engaging with it and they’re connecting with your ads, So what I just want to show you guys really quick. This is not that long, a article, because it’s very simple and easy to do. Let’S just come over here. Let’S click on this traffic demo page right here or this campaign – So we’ve got this. This is obviously just a demo and everything like that, but we’ve got this ad set right here, We’re just going to click to the ad level.

Okay! So now, once we’re here, we’re just going to come over here We’re going to make sure this is checked right there We’re going to click on preview, Okay, so this is going to pop up a little preview of the post or the ad or whatever you’re going Trying to promote Now what I’m going to do is click on this button right here. Click on that, It’s going to say: hey Facebook posts with comments; Ok, so this is basically to pop it up on your newsfeed as if it’s you know, just a normal pulse right here.

Okay – And so this is what this is. A post is something that we’ve been Promoting right here for one of our webinars, and this is Jason right here He’s a loan officer, You can see, we’ve got 23 likes, we’ve got some hearts and we’ve got even some comments and all this stuff. So we want to be able to carry that over because, like Richard right here He’s got a great comment. I’M a true believer. It works, you know, So we want everyone to be able to go through and see the social proof behind this net right.

We don’t want to go through and start completely from scratch with every single ad that we start over, because that’s Naturally what Facebook does, unfortunately right. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to take this URL, this ID Okay, so everything at the very end. Okay, so it’s right here, this long number and we’re just going to copy this okay. So once we copy that we come over here Back to the ad set level – Okay, So this one – I just have it as like: it’s it’s just super open.

We want to duplicate this Okay, so we would duplicate it. It says: okay, Do you want to do so like this is basically just creating a new ad set, so we can target different People different audiences and we just want to use the original campaign, We’re going to click duplicate right here and it’s going to pop up And allow us to go through and change up the targeting. So I’m going to come in here and say: Demo ad set number two right: Okay, then we can come down and if we have like a custom audience Like, maybe we want to go through on one of them.

We want to target people that have visit our website and another one. We want to target People that we’ve uploaded as leaves or people have readed our articles or whatever It might be right Or we can come in here and say hey. I don’t want everyone in the United States. I just want people and kind of like the example we’re showing before everyone in Texas Right. So we come down here and we can pick.

The age group Obviously go through. Do your custom targeting It doesn’t really matter. I mean this is not kind of the key part that we’re showing you right here and then we hit publish Okay. So now, once we hit publish on this it’s going to go through and because we duplicate it technically, it would go through and Create a new ad that doesn’t have any lags any comments, Nothing on it’s completely from scratch.

Okay! So now what I want to do is I, like, I like to refresh guys the new Facebook guys manager. Sometimes I don’t. I don’t love it. It’S kind of a pain in the butt, So I refresh it because it wasn’t popping up automatically like it used to Which I love the the way he used to work Now. They’Ve kind of compiled compiled the power editor with the new Facebook Ads manager, not my favorite, So we click on right here and then now what we could do is if we just go over here and hit edit and Remember how we grabbed this URL this ID.

We just copy that, and we could say: hey use. Existing posts enter the post ID Paste it in right there, Okay, so, instead of creating that we want to use use existing posts and your post ID hit submit Okay, you know I’ve got the target on Instagram. This articles longer than 60 seconds, That’s why it’s giving us the air right there Look at this guy’s we carry over all 24 likes. We carry over the comments We carry over the shares and then we hit publish and we are set and ready to go.

So that is how you can go through and 10x is social proof With your facebook advertising. With all of your ads, your campaigns, your ad sets everything that you’re setting up now I just went through, and just yesterday I had some URL issues with my webinar registration page, So I had to go through and reset all my campaigns. All my ad sets everything which is a huge pain of, but because I usually don’t like to work on Sundays, but I Had to get it back up and running so that we could get keep our business push it forward.

So anyway, what I did was go through, and I had a bunch of look like audiences right now. We cover that in a different article, if you guys were like what the heck are looked like audiences, I can go through and cover That drop. A comment down below, if you’re, totally confused on that, and I can explain that in another article. But basically these look like audiences are like your your just your audiences.

So, instead of targeting people in texas or Florida, Okay, I’ve got look like audiences of people who have bought our software program or people have bought another one or a program. So There’s all these different audiences, and so, instead of going through and targeting all these audiences and creating new blank ads started completely from scratch. I want to go through and take those ads that already have bikes already had comments already had everything and Just kind of carry them over Like I have some ads that have almost 2,000 likes on those which that’s a lot of social proof right there like.

That is a ton where you know If somebody hits that sees that ad, like wow, hardly like almost 2,000 people have liked this They’re a lot more likely to go through and pay attention, as opposed to you know an ad that has absolutely no likes no comments, Because then, like Humans, just out of nature guys, They don’t want to be the first one to take action, They’re kind of scared, They’re, hesitant They’re, like whoa, I don’t know, and so that’s why.

I, like all these little social proof, things where you go to websites now. You know like have a little thing to pop up at the bottom. It’Ll say like hey this person just bought five minutes ago, or this person just bought ten minutes ago And then or if you’re liking a live event and there’s a seller on stage. They sell something, and then one person runs the back. It kind of triggers that up those other people to go through and run back to the back of the room to buy whatever they’re Selling right, Because, like no one’s right in the back, You don’t want to be that awkward person like you’re running the back.

We’Re like, let’s say you know you are in a live event or you’re in some room Someone’s like hey, who here Does this like? Who here, You know, Choose their food with their mouths open or something kind of weird. You don’t want to be that weird person like raising your hand, So it’s the same thing with all this stuff guys. That is the point of Facebook. That is the point of Instagram all these social networks and the social networks, Advertising platforms.

If you can get that social proof, unlike you know, Google banners, You can’t really see how many people are clicking on those banners. You can’t see any of that other stuff, And so this is huge guys. So this is a quick refresher. All you got to do. Is you hit preview on the ad? You pull it up, So it just shows this look at this. It’S just showing this app And then this is the post ID right here. We just copy that come back over here.

We use use existing posts, enter the post ID paste it in there submit, hit, publish and we are done. We are good to go So anyway, guys. Hopefully this article was helpful if it was give it a thumbs up, drop a comment down below. Let me know what you guys thought and if you guys are brand new here, make sure you guys subscribe, because we New articles every single week, helping you generate more leads, make more money and grow your business with.

That said guys, I hope you have an amazing rest of the day and I will talk to you all soon.

Daily #54 – Facebook Ad Basics 1

So let’s move on and talk about facebook advertising.

So, first of all, I’d like you to remember that facebook is a social. It’S a social media platform and you need to remember and respect that when you’re using it for your business because I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of it, but I’ve certainly never heard of anyone going on to facebook with the intention of purchasing something. So, that’s why you know you don’t want to be sort of ramming links down people’s throats and things like that.

People are there to see. What’S going on in their world they’re there to interact with their family and friends and a lot of them are there to read cat articles and disaster articles things like that now. One thing to really remember is that Facebook protects its users, they like to protect their users experience, and if people complain to facebook about ads and spammy posts, their sin, Facebook are going to stop them now.

That will either stop the person who is placing the ads in this family post, or they will end up shutting them down all together, and we don’t want that to happen, so we need to go about using it in a very professional, straightforward and transparent manner. Facebook is not out to get your business or to stop people advertising, they are only predicting the experience of their users on the internet, so it’s really important that as advertisers and business people we respect Facebook’s Terms and Conditions.

So this is a couple of things. Actually, it’s quite a lot more than a couple of things to understand before starting, I understand Facebook’s Terms of Service now I know it’s always onerous to go through these things. But if you want to, I value your app tising account and your Facebook page and even your personal page, make sure that you understand Facebook’s Terms of Service and that you always stay inside them.

Money-Making opportunities, MLM bits home businesses, network marketing, anything similar to that are not allowed to be promoted, and it’s clearly stated in their terms of servants. The other thing I want you to remember is to never use an affiliate link for any of these types of businesses. In an ad you know, really the best thing to do is perhaps send people to a blog post or something and give them some value, or you could get them to opt in for some information for some training or some value with a call to action at The end of it that may refer to your business, but never send people from Facebook directly to an affiliate link and also using a quote or a shortened link, is really just being dishonest and it will get your account banned.

It may not be been today or even tomorrow, but it will eventually get shut down. Your account shut down, and this is why Facebook manually follows people’s ads and they opt in to see where they lead, because they want to know what experience their facebook users are. Getting on the back end of that ad, and if you have a capture or a sales page with make money online or email in my home business or even a page that has some unrealistic claims or something on it, that’ll be the end of it, snap that Will disapprove your ad and if you get more than a couple of ads disapprove, you will be shut down so be very aware of the correct way, and the honorable way, I suppose, to use facebook also be very careful of the copy you use in your ads.

Never mention any of those business types in your advertising copy all make money claims in them any kind of unrealistic claims, and if you are in the weight loss, snitch things like that, that’s also another niche that they don’t like advertising in. You have to be very careful with your images as well, so just make sure that you fully understand their terms of service and don’t go outside. It, be conservative with your advertising and make sure that you’re always giving people value and that way, you’ll be fine.

But affiliate links are a total. No, no, so the next thing I’d like to do is just show you. What ads look like now, there’s you can place ads in different places on facebook, and this is actually a desktop newsfeed ad. Now you can tell it’s an ad because it’s got sponsored here, and that means that it’s actually a paid post. Now I don’t know whether this is actually an ad and I think it probably is, or it could even be a promoted post, but this is an ad that is appearing in Facebook’s newsfeed.

Now I also want to show you a little bit more about how you can get into trouble if your ads are not appealing to the people who are seeing them, and this is another and sponsored ad on facebook, and if you click on this little arrow up Here this box drops down now. The last thing you want is people hiding this ad or telling people they don’t like it for some reason now, that’s why you need to be very targeted with your advertising and make sure that the right people who are interested in your head but see it, but We will get onto that in a more advanced fear, but this is where people would complain about your ad or hide your air and that’s how you get into trouble with them now, if they are want to know why they’re, seeing this or if you’re interested in Wine you’re seeing some of the ads that are appearing in your news, feed on facebook.

If you click on, why am I seeing this this pops up here and it will explain why you’re seeing the ad and this one is saying that adobe stock wants to reach people who are similar to their customers, and they think Facebook thinks that I’m similar based On what I do, the pages I like, and the ads and posts that i’ve clicked on our facebook so be aware that they’re following you everywhere around facebook, so they know exactly what you do, what you like, what you click on now you can manage your ad Preferences, you can ask not to see it adds a tall and really as a marketer yourself.

You don’t want that to happen. You want people to be happy with your ads. So that’s why very important to make sure that your ads are world targeted because you don’t want people not liking them, which gives you a really bad relevant score in facebook we’ll go into that later on. But it’s just something you don’t want to happen. You want people to be appreciating your ads, also important, why they should be more social and not all salesy.

So this one here is average adult receives 147 emails a day. What are you doing to stop it? We can help so these people are offering to help and giving some value. When someone clicks on here, it’s not a sales, a post, they’re, not they’re, saying bye. My stuff, some of this adobe stock won’t get 10 free images. So you would go here for free images takes people to the page, creates awareness of the brand and everything and people are they’re, going to actually probably have to opt-in to get those free images.

So that means that adobe stock has the email details. So that’s their benefit and you also get to have a look at their stock images and see if you like them or not and maybe deal with them in the future. So that’s newsfeed desktop now, where do these ads? Actually hang out on facebook have a tick, and, oh sorry, I’ll just take you here. Those ads would appear here in the news, feed and there’s one right there.

That is an ad in the news feed see. It’S got sponsored post, we can click on here. I can hide the ad if I want to, but I can also have more options. I can say I like this out. It’S useful, it’s helpful for me. I can also click here and say: why am I seeing it and it’s a very similar to that other digital marketer ad before Facebook thinks that I might be interested, so that is a news feed add they’re appearing in my news feed now to get my presentation Back again, ah here we go so we’ve talked about what two adds up jack on desktop news feeds.

So that’s then there now we’re going to look at right-hand column ads now this is a right hand, column and they’re a little bit smaller. They haven’t got so much text in them and they appear down here. So this is where the right hand column has. Now. This is a suggested page here. I can’t actually see any sponsored sort of ads at the moment, but this is, where the right hand column ads and then, from time to time you will have seen those kinds of ads before I don’t know why this! Oh there we go.

That’S the right column ad again, so once again you can check out why you want to see it now, the next one. We want to look at our mobile newsfeed ads, and this is just a screenshot of my Bible phone. You can see it’s got sponsored there. So you know it’s an ad they’re, giving away something free, ah they’re, not doing anything, that’s outside Facebook’s Terms and Conditions. So that’s the different placements of ads now how to get actually get started using facebook for your business.

First of all, you need a personal profile. So you need your own personal page now that profiler, I showed you that there, when we were on the facebook page, that is actually my personal facebook profile. Now, if you want to use your personal page for business – and I don’t really recommend it, but you can segment your friends so aren’t marrying cousin bill, won’t see your business posts. So you can set up your facebook posts, so certain posts only see to certain people which makes it quite flexible and it does allow you to do a certain amount of business stuff on your fat on your personal page.

If you want to and you’re not quite up yet to creating a fan page and actually creating it, it’s a good way to get started, but the best for Lucian for business on Facebook is a fan page or a business page now. A fan page is linked to your personal profile, so you actually create it from your personal profile, but no one can see that it stands completely alone and they can also ranked in Google just like a website.

So a fan page is a really handy tool to have, and you must have a fan page set up if you want to advertise on Facebook now, your fan pledge is a place to give value to your followers place where you can brand yourself talk about your Business as well as sharing some of your life with you follow us, and you need to remember that Facebook is social media platform just like I said before, so just going back now to facebook over here we’re going to I’ll show you where you go now.

This is my personal profile click on this little arrow up here, and this is where you go to create a page and if you just follow through so you need to decide if you’ve got a local business which, if you’ve got an internet business, it’s not really A local business, so you need to decide which part of these you, your business, belongs to and then click on that and then just go through. I do have a article in my youtube blog.

That explains how to actually create a fan page in facebook. So you can go and hook there if you want some step-by-step instructions on how to do it. Now, I’m just going to show you one of my fan pages. This is my main business pay. So I’ve got a few fan pages, all four different kinds of businesses that I have. So let’s look at this one. This is my main business fanpage, so you know it’s got a its got.

A nice cover photo. It’S got a photo of me because people want to connect with me, so that’s why it needs to have a photo of you there. So don’t be scared about putting yourself out there and then these are the kind of posts that I share on here. So you know some little bits of motivation is sort of stuff. This is a article that I’ve put up here about how to make a fan page on facebook asks. Some motivational quotes a little bit of value about a movie that my mentor can’t read is appearing in more articles here.

This is an article that I’ve shared here, so I’m basically giving value to my customers with what I post on here and also sharing a little bit of my life, because really we have an internet businesses, so we can enjoy a particular kind of a lifestyle. It gives us that freedom, so I post about what I’m doing what my lifestyles all about. So this is my Sunday morning ride up along the coast. These are supply, toes that I took there.

So that’s kind of what you use a fan page for now, um. It just bear with me for a minute, and I’m just going to move on to the next slide here and talk about the next article, because really that’s all I want to share on this first article. It’S just a you know, a quick one to get us started and it just explained the very, very basic fundamentals. So the next article is going to cover navigating the facebook ad platform using the power editor, which is a really powerful tool to use inside their ad platform, we’re going to talk about the different kinds of ads, all the different kinds of ads it.

You can do on facebook all the different things you can do with it. What you know whether you want people to go to your website or two, if you want to get more likes to your page or you want some people to read your articles, all those sorts of things we’re going to look at the different types of ads and We’Ll probably go through how to set up a light campaign to get targeted likes and followers on your page, because the first step is to get people liking.

Your fan page so you’re, starting to build a community there and it’s very important to get targeted likes. Because you want people who are going to be interested in what you’re putting on your page, if you’re putting business posts and things like I’ve got on my page, you don’t necessarily want lots and lots of cat and dog articles, although I’m not above posting one. If I find a really really excellent one there that I think my followers might enjoy, but you get what I mean you need people who are going to be interested in your business, what you do in your business and who will get actual value from what your Post on there, so this series is to be continued again tomorrow, with article number two, I’m Katie Johnston and I’ll talk to you.

How to Use Facebook for Your Online Business

What’S up, How are ya Good, No surprise we’re going to Dive into Facebook today The book face But I also ( laughing ) The face book. It is your favorite right, It is my favorite No well, I don’t like To choose favorites So we’re talking about Facebook for your business – Maybe I just have a personal page and I’ve decided – maybe it’s Time to create a business page for my business right, What are kind of the First, steps that I need to really think about Well you’re, already, Off to a great start, You wan na go to a business page And that’s really important.

Because then, you get the ability to track metrics and analytics So absolutely business. Page over personal page And then from there You wan na make sure you set up your profile. Get that profile photo. Usually your logo works great or maybe, if it’s your personal brand use a great headshot of yourself and then take that cover photo to really showcase your Products or your services and then from there make Sure all your information is up to date And that Is really important? Your hours, your website, Your phone number 100 % And make sure that lines up with your Google And your Yelp listings too Right I went into a coffee shop recently I Was in northern California, You drink a lot of coffee, ( laughing ), It’s true And the cashier was looking At me, like I don’t know like, maybe she wanted to rush me and I’m thinking they’re Open for two more hours, what’s the deal, ( laughing ) Sure enough, they were Closing in five minutes I go, but your Facebook says and I wanted to Go into my spiel like this, but I saved it got a quick Coffee to go fortunately, but that’s the whole point.

I left with a customer experience that wasn’t as ideal And then onto probably one of the largest most impactful components: content Right, always preach Quality over quantity Yeah, so you definitely Want to make sure you vary your content, So mix it up. You know you don’t Wan na become predictable; Okay, And you also don’t want to turn into just a business always talking about yourself right. It becomes so salesy.

When it’s always about me, me me So salesy me me me: yeah, Buy this, buy that Yeah sell, sell, sell; Rather you want to Tell tell tell Exactly ( laughing ) Throw something out there. That’S entertaining I mean social media is escapism. Oh yeah, Throw in a good laugh But also educate me, So I always tell my friends: That I follow my dentist on Facebook and they look At me, like I’m crazy, Why right What And it’s because my dentist Shares really educational tips and tricks like how to whiten my teeth without spending hundreds of dollars.

I saw also my yoga studio was just giving a friendly Reminder to stretch how to maintain the zen, which Is really important in life? Absolutely Also, sharing testimonials that you’ve already Received on Yelp and Google and turning it into a Facebook post Right repurpose that content Take that review. Let’S Say it went on about your your ice cream, you’re an ice cream shop, And the review goes on about How you have the best flavors, but the ultimate flavor Is definitely rocky road, Absolutely Yeah, it’s the best Hands down.

So you have that review that the customer went on About your rocky road ice cream and then use Canva or Something and in the background of that review and select A picture of the rocky road on a nice ice cream cone. It really brings it to life. For those of you that don’t know, Canva is a free website that Has all sorts of templates and kits and graphics For literally all things that you could possibly create Like social media templates, Facebook headers all that Good stuff and it’s free – I use it pretty religiously, Also article, So I’m a huge advocate, Of article I love article Just keep it on the shorter Side, attention spans are short Seems like under two minutes: Or so under three minutes Yeah.

Definitely I would even a minute is good and also doing behind the scenes footage. That’S one of my favorite things about following local businesses is like well, I wan na know how This all comes together And showcase your staff And also repurpose anything your customers take User generated content And I think what gets A lot of people hung up on, creating article is, maybe they don’t have a production set like we do right, (, laughing ) And that’s okay.

Our smart phones are Pretty darn good right, Yeah they’re, pretty smart, Take a article with your phone and even it doesn’t have To be the best quality Go behind the scenes. People like that story like to see the other side of things, and it really helps them. Relate to who you are as a business owner You’re, not just some faceless company. So next up we have these groups. Can you tell us a little Bit about what the Facebook groups are and how I can potentially leverage It as a business owner Yeah, so definitely Encourage you to pay attention to other like-minded Businesses, but also groups to piggy back off the Engagement, you already have, I will say, content is Where you wan na spend most of your time, but Groups can be an advantage to getting your business More exposure for sure, So next up we have advertising.

What do we do with the Paid advertising aspect Yeah, so it’s no secret. Facebook has gone on Record to say organic reach is on ( whistling ) the decline Don’t give up on it. Organic content is still Alive and well and breathing, but I think Facebook posts that you boost has a lot of potential and you Can reach a targeted audience, which is one of favorite things about it? You can start off with like five bucks and you can get in front Of a specific demographic age group, zip codes and That way, you know your post is going to reach the right people And with I would kinda Look at the post that maybe have done the best And then boost those and get those that reach out.
