*urgent INFLUENCER TIPS: How to Work with Brands on Sponsorships and Collaborations

It means you’re under valent yourself. You don’t know what to measure. When you don’t know what to measure girl girl, you’re going to get run over by truck alright guys. You seem to really like it when I talk about social media growth and doing my makeup, so we’re going to do that. Hey guys, my name is Jay nice to meet you. What’s up welcome to my blog today we’re talking about influencers and brands and how to properly price yourself.

This is something that I’m so passionate about as influencers. Maybe we don’t price ourselves enough. We don’t know how much we charge I wish we should charge. We don’t know our value and as a brands, we don’t know how to come up to these influencers. I kind of make this small little thing happen. I think it’s important to finally bring justice, so this is different than most other youtubers they’re going to be like.

Okay, you subsetted see how much you charge. Okay, no, no, no guys need to understand the number one problem we’re going to go over is finding and communicating the right kpi’s business. This is called key performance index. I don’t know that term. It’s about to get real freakin repetitive up in here a little bit of background if you’re curious, why I’m talking what I? Why I’m here, my name is Jade.

I’m an entrepreneur and I’ve been helping people grow on social media yeah like the if you’re curious, to know a lot of the knowledge I do have his first-hand experience. This is not some well. No. This is first-hand experience. My family owns marking agency working with two to five million dollar revenue brands anyways, if you feel like an influencer and not knowing what to post, not only what to price yourself, how to come up to brands or on the reverse you’re on our brand.

And you don’t know how to communicate to the influencer, make sure you give this article a like and subscribe this blog if you’re excited to just dive right in you know what this is hella value right here, hella freakin value, all right, I’m just currently getting ready For a coffee meeting, and then I have a few other coaching calls. So if I look a little crazy, I’m just playing with makeup, let me let it be: let it be grace the way this article is going to work is first, I’m going to tell you guys a story to really give you guys some context.

So you really understand it. Sorry, if I talk a lot, it’s just really for your own benefit and I’m going to go into how to price yourself and then, lastly, I’m going to go to how to negotiate and keep going with brand and the benefits hey. The car also I’m going to eat and drive. If this is what do I favorite things ever, it’s dairy-free ice cream looks like this dairy-free and beautiful. Don’t you worry, I’m getting into the meat the core value of this article, I’m just going to eat this? Okay, so what I did is I took some of your GM’s and put them into question.

Okay hold up. Is that chocolate on my lips, a hack, I’m such a mess. I have truly apologized. I think one story I did what at all was just one that kind of got me a little bit mad. Why I wan na create this article like it truly got me upset like have you ever like burnt a pissed off, but then you started thinking about a mourning. You started overthinking and then you were like really pissed off. Think what I hope.

What happened was just actually was a few months ago, I’m Brants occasionally send me emails through my personal brand. They would have sponsor great right and I was responding to a few and one of them started off good. It’s a brand that I can’t do their neighbor non-disclosure, but what I do know is this brand was selling a product. It was a subscription model, it’s kind of like Netflix. You know like their monthly subscription model product.

I think monster days I was like cool cool. Like I was agreeing with everything they’re saying, they’re sending me their product now, what really come each throat office after I said. Yes, they felt like they had to undervalue my my audience and my skill. So they started asking for more saying: okay, that’s not enough! They were adding more and more on top of it, and so I couldn’t have enough. They were literally asked me to link this product like this.

Also use this okoto so make multiple posts, and I feel like there’s a limit. You can get free products forever and ever but there’s a limit. So, oh okay, so what I’m going to say is but the story with a subscription bottle brand. I just realized there. Everything is fine, you can charger self. Whatever you want. There’s no rules. You can barely you, don’t even have to listen to me, but there’s a limit.

Oh influencers on your freaking employees, I’m going to do whatever you want. You have to treat you with fairness, which brings me to my first languages and I think brands going to do their research. So many of them – I don’t know if you guys saw xx. Some of them are just like. I love your gotten so much. I love like your fashion, and it’s just so generic I feel I have brands, did their research on influencers and, if ones we actually feel like they they weren’t cared like.

I don’t know if you guys ever get some random-ass emails, but they weren’t. They were personalized. They weren’t for you. It was a vast distribution you’re like a big company. Then I get it, but a lot of you guys don’t give money. I know a lot of your brands out there. I know have no money you’re, not so treat your filter as well and make them feel value. I’m telling you, when you make your team feel a value and they will promote your product.

You can sell brands to your research. I think it’s also needed a better KPI know. What’s a KPI, you might have KPI stands for key performance index. This is using every business. I think that not enough influencers know what KPIs worries me. This is what you’re going to make money off of they’re, not going to make money off of the likes sulloway’s that you have to know your value and wherever you please say you have to be strategic.

For example, I worked with a brand and you like them and they’re going to pay you per view. You have to know, that’s your KPI, your key performance impact, but you measure success upon that could be like that can be followers, but that could be legitimate sales, but the fact I’m not enough influencers know what the KPIs are. Is scary means your undervalue yourself. You don’t know what to measure when you don’t know what to measure girl-girl you’re, going to get run over by a truck people are going to take advantage of.

You say my brand. It’s all I going to do is just take. Take take as much as possible. So you have to be good fair. So that’s what ever attempted to know your KP honestly. This is not something the tutorial. If you guys want. I can do a whole article on how to provide yourself cusp influencer. Just let me know in the comment section: if you have any questions, let me know I’m really here to help you regardless.

I just don’t know if you’re so far enjoyed this article in this article, like I truly appreciate it, it’ll be the world to me. Comment below her attention is my oxygen, so something’s up accrual back to how to price yourself in general. I think a keep after everything. So what I would do is take your KPI, an example of what could be followers right. Your followers are giving to Braille to do comments and share it’s, not even that ego so due to the sales, if you do, how many sales are you bringing to them? So you pick one and the suppose this I can go into the steps later, but you want to know how many true fancy companies just do simple, math, ready, ready.

Okay, take the number of two fans you have times the average cost of the product you’re working with equals. How much you’re up to charging up the key word is up to ransom. Do your research make people feel value and influencers know what your value is simple as that and don’t ever under face yourself. I would have actually finished this conversation, but we’re going to go meet Brett at first, I’m going to show you guys he owns my sock company, hey guys in a second stay tuned.

You guys know where we are. This is like my favorite coffee shop right now called Oracle coffee. I ordered my latte and I like this place because look this drawers are metal they’re like metal, save the environment. No straws are horrible for the environment. There should have worn a bra with this outfit. Like I’m going to flash the world, I don’t know why just okay, everybody out of my vlog I’ve, never been in a vlog.

Hey guys, I’m here with Brennan. What do you do? We take white socks and actually fifteen okay is that these are Jade. Socks supports your fine. What you for this picture, Instagram wow yeah, I think, wait. Wait! You’re like a size, 9 yeah, missing shoes, I’ll put a pop time right here, all our Brennan, okay, listen! I just found this fidget Birkin spinner in my garage literally my parents. Not let me get a pictures better when it was cool and trendy, because about stupid you know chief asses and now found one thanks.

I’m really happy okay, so today I’m going to crap off this conversation for earlier. I think this leaves us with one question. I think it’s just what, if you’re too small, for a Brit, what, if you’re too small bits for this or what, if you don’t have any more followers? What, if you just don’t, have any much like foreign influence there. You know, and you just can’t be an influence if you don’t have like some followers like janitors question, I’m going to backtrack a little bit.

I think I saw I mean Brendan. Had coffee, not really. We actually just had outside and talked didn’t get coffee, but um, but I wanted to say was: I think he and I were talking just about starting your personal brand, and one of the questions Vernon actually asked me was like Jay would have like this YouTube thing. Doesn’t work or does it lose credibility if you do YouTube and like got bad reputation? What if you lose followers what, if what have you lose just? What have you is? The thing I have to just say is you guys have to realize what you’re doing with influencer marketing being in brand is basically entrepreneurship.

You got ta be able to take risk literally the word entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship means risk risk risk equals willing to fail. A lot of you guys are trying to like sugarcoat buffer this like okay. Let me like minimize my chances actually just finishing up a coaching call with one of you guys, one of my students and I think, she’s just asking how to like safety jacket around my results, and I want a clear direction.

I don’t got a clear path if you wanted a clear path: go get a job. You chose this path because you want to clean your own. So don’t act like this is so easy. So what I’m going to say is what, if you’re too small or what, if you have enough likes or what, if you fail, you build a bridge and get over at Karen. I’m sorry I’ve been hanging on to Ryan a lot and then we just been saying Karen. I don’t know why I can pick these names.

Oh is a Karen or Susan. I think too many people have the what-ifs and they don’t start. So I guess, if you’re too small of an influencer think about your KPIs, are you measuring the right thing? Brands don’t give a about how many followers you have they care about the attention you hold? How many people are you actually having the attention of? Because you got to know, know these things Millennials they scroll, fast or Instagram.

Just because someone likes your photo doesn’t mean doesn’t mean you can do it all over any sales. You have to know your value first, you have to be confident on what you do. Take a risk and don’t look back just you know, move forward. If your brand says no move on boo, Karen there’s a thousand other brands, you can email. This is a numbers game. You try one who wants the next, that’s what you have to keep your PR list full.

So this brings me to my last point: if a brand rejects you do the following, get over it you’re going to have to do this over and over again, if you can’t take a slap in the face get the out. This is competitive and you need to build yourself some confidence and armor, because nobody wants to follow anybody that doesn’t have what they want. People will follow someone because they won’t have the lifestyle they want.

They have something they want if you’re, not confident in the product or selling, especially and just if you’re, not confident in your product. Your own articles, your own content. No one wants a follow. No, you need to love your product. Love yourself love your own account of what you’re selling with a brand. If you don’t actually love it, you’re not going to get that sale, stop mentoring. Kpi is y’all.

I’ve got tired. I actually just want to leave this off on a positive note, and just let you know I’m here for you, I just I don’t know why are reading this article. Sometimes it blows my mind that, like thirty five freaking thousand of you are here reading me, you guys are amazing, and all I want to do is keep creating content to help you as much as I’m busy with my own business, and I actually just posted a Podcast about the similar topic about failure and losing likes check it out.

It was one of the best pot guys I ever made, and some of you guys have been damning me like crazy that you loved it. Thank you go check out the podcast and the links below. So that’s the comment. Right now sure comment on the supposed to be beach for the next up. This look at you guys in the next one bye,

Tips for Building a Personal Brand From Nothing – VidCon Vlog 8 Jade Darmawangsa

This was my very first year at VidCon and, let’s just say, I was looking through the footage of this article you’re about to see, and it doesn’t make quite set to summarize everything. This just goes to show you how chaotic brazii lidded con was because it was really great time, but it wasn’t what I really expected.

Some of you guys know me if you don’t what’s up and I just moved out today recently, I don’t know why we’ve got. I had an interview, though most of this article is going to be kind of circulating around that contest and make sure you guys stay tuned very and, if you’re going to learn how to grow your brand a little bit more about VidCon. My honest thoughts about I’d be in for a roller coaster, so let’s jump into it guys.

So my name is Jade derma Wanda, I’m a 17 year old entrepreneur trying to make her way in LA. I feel like that’s when you youtube intro. I look II. Think I’m just trying to not financially deprecated. What is that per gate me depreciate, depreciate and try not to financially depreciate depreciate? I thought it was deprecated anyway. The first thing that caught I’ll link it below was crazy. It was five day.

Two is great. I met some awesome, tubers and then day three hit, which is where we’re at. What’s up, you guys welcome to my blog today’s day, sorry, a VidCon. This is my first year. I’ve been doing YouTube for like 7 years off and on and dreaming up this place. So I didn’t know what to really expect. I saw every single youtuber and maybe you’ve been there too, but like you’ve seen this like idea, VidCon and you’ve never really gone out there, but it always looks like funds and giggles.

You know it always looks like a great time. No honestly, most of this convention I was just walking around didn’t know what to do. I started my day off with avocado toe. I met my friend Brandon guys, I’m here with Brennan, so I’m here with Brennan to get avocado toast in Beverly Hills. So I got my poop juice, obviously guys what about that? This beauty? It’s really good you’re getting with the book the hair.

No, it’s great Brennan’s! A super cool dude hung out with him. Balloony me all weekend. He stayed on my freakin couch, so yeah me and Brendan head avocado toast, but here we have avocado toast, which was $ 17, I’m going to self depreciate more. I live in LA Orange County’s like a pretty far drive so when we made it to VidCon, I was actually kind of tired but again you’re just wandering. So we went to her first panel and Andy, but then I had to run to my first and everybody.

So we’re at VidCon danger and now we’re going to my first event, which is like a meeting interview with some people at VidCon, but I’m kind of late. Like usual interview was, like all night Libby shot up to, let be she’s working on a project for college units and universities. So I answered her a few questions. The first question I got was: how do you create a personal brand? That’s unique and attracts attention, so how do you create a personal brand, that’s unique and attractive how to create a person brand.

That’s unique! I think a lot of people need to realize that what makes them unique is that what the topic is it’s about, how you are and that’s very cliche, but there’s a lot of emphasis on your story and narrative. So if you don’t have a story, if you don’t have an epic like life, Bella, that’s, okay, what I’m talking about is a personal brand. That’s attractive, it’s all about before and after so what I would do is try to find your audience what a twit didn’t lack tell them where they want to be so, for example, if they’re trying to inspire people make sure you say this is why I’m credible.

Maybe this is why you should listen to me, but then tell them the backstory and make sure you’re relatable, because the one thing is, if you don’t build that Epiphany bridge, no one will listen to you. You know that’s why people can’t relate to, like you know, Kim Kardashian. You know people can really link to like Emma Chamberlain, there’s a reason why there’s our market is gravitating towards like relatable content, it’s just because we can begin vibe with it and it’s more.

It resonates for who we are and like number one mistake that you see when people are trying to gain those clickbait use those keywords but they’re still not getting that attraction up there. I think you could be doing something right and doing everything right, but if you don’t have the right timing, it’s not going to work. So I feel like you could be, do something perfectly and every day you go at it, but it’s summertime and you’re knocking on the wrong door so being at the right time at the right place.

Is everything like, for example, I did YouTube for like seven years. It’s a little year ago, we’re actually starting off. So for me, it’s just like a lot of people is like, I think my biggest phrase ever is like Jane. I have tried everything so for that. I just say patience and literally being able to tweak with the market. So if you’re, just going into your articles, then you’re going to make X amount of content like 12 point series, be okay with making it maybe shorter and then moving on.

I think people don’t want to DAP, because it’s scary to change yeah, we have to realize it. Timing is everything so be at the right time right present, just like literally keep doing what you’re doing, but just have the patience for it tell us god, that’s perfect! Hey, let me know, do you have any questions for yourself, maybe like what like me, what led me to build this? For me, I have a bigger picture.

Like money doesn’t mean anything to mean, like literally, you could tell me, I’m going to make a million dollars, but now, if that was it like I’ll, be so disappointed myself, so I don’t think money motivates me. I thought it was like status right. I’m going to dress really well, then I realize I don’t. I don’t feel good when I buy something. Do you ever like buy something, and I see yourself or like wait.

I could have just saved it right. He says I don’t realize not like looking good. I think what it is it really is. I want to build a platform that gives me the credibility to help people so like. Basically, I just want to make connections with people. That’s it. I’m a people person and if I can get because like the thing is, if you don’t have anything to talk about that means you’re not blending something.

So I don’t want to get really good at one thing. For me, it’s marketing help so many people with it and that’s how I build connections see those are wonderful questions and I hope you guys got some value. We’re going to continue on with the day. Vidcon was honestly examine. This is when it had a turning point. After the article is also and dandy and chill after this moment, my life changed, I met some of you guys, so I had a meet-up readiness Meetup I just was assuming one person was going to show up.

I don’t know why I have their fear that no one of you guys, like my contact, all of you guys, came then 10, then you a whole crowd of them, and I was just so surreal guys. I met some domination people; they were I’m literally looking at you right now in this camera, and I want to say thank you for your love and support. I don’t really think about you guys as like a crowd. I just think of you at the same one.

In one relationship like I love this hike sitting down and talk to you guys and helping you grow your Instagram and that’s just what I love to do. So. Thank you for coming out to the Meetup. It was awesome so, for example, like the new owner frogmen your audience. So then you have more sponsorship to know like it’s a different audience, so in hip 10,000 sort of next blog and then now you have like our girl a lot of things yeah for sure.

Thanks for staying on so firm it you guys it was very great, like I was honored adrenaline high and then there was a pony. I don’t like party, I don’t well, maybe because I I was never invited to parties. Hey I got in high school. Never really did that there was basically a VidCon after-party for the top craters peoples, just important people. You know I didn’t get an invite okay, so I should I try to sneak in and it didn’t really work.

We went through security and they just stopped us because I didn’t have my wristband. I just turn around me and Brennen. Basically, we had dinner. This put, it was like 10:00 p.M. And you know what I’m not even upset um and I really realize guys is, after being this whole VidCon weekend, you’re just going to feel sometimes really small, because everyone wants to just know how many followers you have your worth.

It’s basically on a result – and I kid you not at that moment when I go catch, a free party and winning moments before, like just wandering off feeling in place, you have to realize you cannot put your identity in your results. Who you are is on what you do and I have to really make that quick switch because it was hard on us. Some people had millions and millions of followers and not what I really care and I’m going to like measure that.

But it’s important to know your self-worth internally before you think about external things. Vidcon taught me a lot. I taught me just hi net, where I kind of meet really cool people and also taught me to how to love myself, even if I don’t have a biggest following, as you know, all those convictions. I was really cool to me. People with like larger followings, not because of the number but because of you, know the ways they got there.

I love hearing the stories. I met something cool peace shout out to Hayley, Ryan and sitting. Basically, the only people are going out with this weekend. You know what there’s actually something we’re working on, really really last-minute, which is a song, and you guys will hear that and this literally like the people. I met at VidCon our friendships that I consider so so surreal and genuine to me and it’s not about the numbers.

It was hard for me because I feel like a small fish in a big pond or ever vention event and place where you don’t feel like. You belong realize that it’s all your mindset, which it and really become internally confident rather than external people, won’t believe in you. If you don’t believe in yourself hope I gave you some insight on how it was super fun. Super freaking lit this article and subscribe.

If you like it, like this article and subscribe bitch shut up to the comet literature comment on this post to feature the next step, this is you want to be an excellent winner. Why everyone Needs to Become an Influencer

This is what I believe. I’m sharing that with you for nothing just get out there and succeed. What’s up everybody ricky truth here. Welcome back to my blog, so today I want to give you some extremely practical advice on how to build your business and keep up with the trends of digital and technology moving forward.

The world is moving at such a high pace now, and we’ve got to keep up with the times we’re over to get left behind. Ok, so we have to understand where the world is going, where people want to be how we need to approach people, how where we need to be to build our brand and that’s what I want to talk about personal branding and the fact that every single one Of you should be thinking of yourself in terms of an influencer okay.

Thank you for yourself as an influencer. What I want to call this is that you are a mini influencer, okay, as a real estate agent as a salesperson and the car industry as an insurance agent as a travel agent as a doctor or lawyer or whatever the case may be, you want to be A mini influencer, okay, here’s what I mean: okay, if you’re an influencer in general, if you’re, just an influencer okay, you may be trying to build a global brand.

Okay, like myself in the real estate coaching world, okay in the entrepreneur world. Alright, I want to influence people in a very positive light globally. All right, I have people all over the world from many different countries, following what I’m saying and building relationships over transactions, building their businesses in a positive way and helping people the right way – and this is very humbling for me to do.

But I would consider myself an influencer, not a mini influencer, or a mini influencer to me is what real estate agents need to be. Okay, that means that we’re a micro influencer in our own markets, our local markets. Okay, what that translates to us is that we don’t need to be worried about views number of views number of likes number of followers. Okay, let’s take Joe Rosen, for example, down in Port st.

Lucie. He has very little views, but if he goes out to a restaurant, everybody knows who he is. Why? Because it’s such a localized market, okay, you’re, comparing yourself to big influence, you’re saying: oh, I don’t have a thousand like so I’ll – have ten thousand views per article. So I must not be getting anywhere close to where I need to be on these social platforms, but that’s not the case. Okay.

Very little views means a whole lot in a concentrated area, okay and so moving forward. I want you to be thinking personal brand, which is what I did with my weekly email and continue to do and continue to teach you to do is a weekly email. On the same day of the week forever I’ve been doing mine since 2007. It’s literally how I built my brand okay and his litter have became an influencer. I didn’t know all these terms when I started doing this, but it’s literally what out what I was doing and is why I’m where I’m at now.

I understand this on a much grander level, seeing as how I got into the coaching industry and I’ve started to build my brand there on social media, okay, as well as email and every other platform. There is out there. So I want you to think of yourself moving forward as an influencer. Now, let’s talk about that for a second being an influencer, or what does it mean? It means that a certain amount of people – okay, know who you are and see your content consistently.

Okay, they see original content from you on a consistent basis: okay, forever. Okay, that’s continuing to build your brand with the people who know you all right and then the goal is is to get more people into your following your email database, your instagrams, your Facebook. Listening to your podcast reading, your YouTube, whatever platform you decide, okay, which I believe the best two platforms, are emails and text, email, platform, text, platform, okay and then all the Supplemental platforms, all the social medias.

Okay, I think those are secondary, but very valuable and necessary. You need to have all of those combined to really make a huge impact and to really build that influential status in your market. Now, if you think of building your business moving forward as you being an influencer in your local market, okay, it tends to give you a different vision. Okay, a different point of view of what your goals really are all right.

The goal is is to let as many people as possible know who you are and how you operate, that you’re honest, caring, hard-working dependable professional you’re, everything that they want in an agent okay. But we have to let a certain amount of people know that if they don’t know about you, they don’t know who you are number one and then. Secondly, if they don’t know what you’re about then they’re never going to do business with you, okay, so our job from this point moving forward is to initiate contact with as many new people that don’t know who we are as possible.

Let them know who we are and then put them into our little personal branding machine, okay of pumping that consistent original content to them forever. Okay, so we do that through email. We do that through text. We do that through social media all right, but we need to get them into our personal branding machine all right and then we want to talk to more people and get them in there more more more more as many people as we can possibly get to.

We will never get to all the people in our market. Therefore, our job and our task at hand is an unlimited of Biss. Okay, it’s an ocean, you can’t get to it all and when we think about that on that micro level, that many influence our level think about what I’m trying to do with just being a general influencer, okay to influence people around the world, all right and when We think about the unlimitedness of just the many influence or the micro influencer of just a local market.

Think about how massive it is to be just a general influence or trying to influence people around the world. It’s it’s insanely, unlimited and massive. So hope this gives you a different look, a different point of view. Maybe how you need to be building your business or what your objectives really are, or what your goals should be. Okay and I’m going to start pumping out more content around being an influencer and the little things that really matter and different little hacks that I find along the way I’m going to are those with you.

Digital Marketing Basics: Before and After Grid

After you’re done with this article, you’re going to be able to really honing your copy you’re going to be able to create offers that are going to convert and you’re going to be able to jump into the mind of your clients and your prospective clients. This is so helpful when you’re doing research and you’re trying to figure out what kind of blockers and what kind of content should I be putting out there for my brand or for my business.

So if you’re doing any kind of digital marketing, this is going to be extremely helpful. Hey everybody how’s it going. My name is Brandon Brashear. I make daily digital marketing articles here. So if you’re trying to grow your brand or your business with digital marketing, then this is a great blog for you. You should totally consider subscribing hit the thumbs up button. If you liked the article and comment below with any questions or comments that you have alright.

So let’s talk about the before and after good, some people call it the before and after good some people call it the heaven and hell grid right. It’s really depends on where you’re learning this from, but it’s actually a pretty common concept in marketing, but it’s extremely important, especially if you’re trying to grow a product or service or develop an offer when you’re doing marketing. You really want to get inside the head of the prospect.

The reason why you want to do this is because, when you’re doing marketing, people don’t buy things typically for the utility of the thing right. The old example is people don’t buy it grills because they want drills, they buy eight drills because they want holes, that’s actually not true. Either people don’t buy drills because they want holes. They want holes because they need to run a wire through it or a pipe through it or you know, there’s more to it than just here’s: a cool drill, he’ll, here’s the features, here’s the price right, we’re trying to figure out exactly what the clients and customers Are looking for so it’s important to consider first, what is there before state? What does it look like? How can you communicate with these people so that they’ll say yeah? That’s me: that’s how I feel, and typically, if you have a service or product, it’s going to do more than just the face value of that product or service, and if you want it to be more valuable than just like a commodity.

For example, it’s important to consider and really consider that you have to really relate to your clients and customers on an emotional level if you can get into their most primal fears. Their most primal worries their most primal motivations that they have you’re going to be a lot more successful. People typically do things because they want to gain something they do things, because it justifies their emotional decision with logic.

People do things because fear is a motivator and in general, if you can tap into these base motivations you’re going to be so much more effective. So let’s go through an example. So, typically, what I like to do is the the before grid. I like to know what they’re thinking, what they’re feeling, what they’re wondering: what are their worries? What are their needs, what are their wants and really talk about? What is it and what is the state that these people are in? So let me give you an example: let’s say you’re doing a your realtor in you’re selling, a house.

If you have somebody who’s selling their house, you could think well. All they want to do is sell their house. They are need to sell their house right. There. Could be a million reasons why these people need to sell their house and one thing that you should totally do before this is fill out your client, avatar and customer avatar, so that you know who you’re creating this before and after good. For that is step number one.

This is step number two, so that article up there in the left hand corner on the card. You can click that and there’s a client, avatar worksheet in the description of that article as well. But let’s talk about this, though their before and after good, so you have your very specific customer, avatar right and so even within selling houses. You have different kinds of house seller. If you have equity sellers, you have people that are selling because they’re retiring, you have people that are selling, because they need more room.

You have people that are selling, because they can’t make the payments. You have people that are selling because they’re upside down on their mortgages, they’re doing a short sale right. All of those people have different before-and-after grids and likely your clients and customers aren’t also in different areas depending on what’s important of them to them right. So, let’s target somebody who is an equity seller, for example, they’re retiring and they’re, downsizing right.

What is their before and after good look like so before they’re worried about getting the most money for their house. They probably have time they’ve been sitting on the house for a long time. They’ve paid it off. Now they have equity, they feel like they’re, proud of their accomplishments. They feel like they deserve to get the most for the money they feel like. Their house is extremely valuable, extremely special.

They have a serious emotional bonds to it right and so, when you’re designing content around that, if you talk to them about how special their house is how they build memories, they’re right, the house has so much more value to that person. Then it does somebody who just is doing like a corporate rental right or you know somebody who’s like, oh and I bought this house a year ago and I’m flipping it right, very different positions, and so, when you’re, creating marketing and you’re explaining to them.

You know, especially if you like, let’s see, had a reverse mortgage business, where you’re trying to get people that have equity to do reverse mortgages right. If you talk to them about how they have built the legacy in this house – and you know they’re their state that they’re in they feel connected to it, they don’t want to move out of it. They want to maintain their lifestyle right. You you’re talking about the emotions that they’re feeling and really you’re connecting with them on a very emotional level.

They feel like you’re, going to know them you’re going to get to know them, so the ad is going to be a lot more effective, and so then you have the after grit. So let’s say that you, you understand and you’re empathizing with where they’re at at their current stage and then in the after grid. It’s where they’re going to be when they’re ending up with you they’ll be so relieved that you know this. Wasn’t that hard to do! They’ll be so relieved that they got the most for it.

They’ll be so relieved that they found somebody who is going to build a family in this house. Just like you did in the house is going to be used for good right. All of those different things. You’re so much more deeper than hey. I sell houses, a 2 % Commission, yes or no and you’re so much more effective. When you can be the bridge between that before state and that after state, a good general copywriting rule is the feel felt found right.

You can tell a story about a client who has gone through a similar situation through his story and especially if you can use article testimonials and things you can talk about what they were feeling. So what did you feel when you first got started? Well, you know I’ve lived here for 30 years and I really felt like I didn’t want to give up all the memories and things, but it was getting expensive and I knew that you know my kids.

I didn’t want them to have to support me and right. So you’re going through that feeling, so what did they feel and then how they felt when the thing was happening? But you know I found someone so realty service and immediately they got that understood that you know this isn’t just a house. This is my legacy, and so what we found was, and then the solution and then the after. How did they feel afterwards and being that bridge and that gap really helps you to get no more emotion, convey more emotion and get people to to get to the end result.

Really, that’s what people are looking for, they’re, not looking for you know. Sometimes people are there. There are different demographics right where people are just looking for the cheapest commodity and if you’re, a commodity provider you’re, probably able to find those people just because you’re competing only on price. But if you’re, like other businesses, that don’t want to just be a price competitor, that you want, offer a premium service you’re going to have to bridge that gap, you’re enough to find the hot-button issues that are going to make.

You different make you better and really help you to not be just another commodity. That’s only going to be based around pricing right, there’s service. There’s caring, there’s commitment, there’s the ongoing um. You know everything it’s it really all comes down to this, and if you can nail this as far as what is the before state, is this something that you’re feeling is this something that you’re doing and then what’s the after state? If you can convey that in article in text in an image your ads are going to be so much more effective, I would love to know that what do you think what are some of your favorite copywriting formulas for this? If you have any questions, any comments need help with anything comment below as always, and please, if you enjoyed the article, be sure to subscribe I’ll, see on the next article have a good one.

TOP 5 ADVICE FOR SALESPEOPLE [Gary Vaynerchuk]

I don’t understand how people think they’re relevant right like and by the way I think email is still the killer app. I think phone calls the phones incredible but but they’re declining in our attention. I have not responded to a bulk or even a one-on-one sales pitch, an email or phone form in a decade. A stunning amount of people behind that camera right now are not going to be successful in sales, because they’re not willing to work hard enough.

They love the automation, they love all these tools. The problem is, if you have the greatest hammer and the greatest screwdriver and the greatest wrench the greatest in front of you, if you don’t use them properly, you will lose right if there’s a nail that I have to put in that ground. But I take the wrench and I hit it when the hammer was right there. It still comes down to the practitioner mm-hmm and you have to be good at your craft and you have to love your.

If you don’t love sales, if you don’t love it, you have no chance, because it’s so hard, it’s so painful, there’s so much rejection right. So those are the things I think about different sales professionals. Reading. Where would you advise that they start in terms of creating their own content or sharing their content, adding their own context as well? Before I go directly into the tactics of, should you make a article? Should you do a written blog post, so she did do a podcast.

You have to reverse engineer who you’re trying to get through. So I think the number one rule of salespeople is to listen. Know your audience know what they did. If you see an M & A just happen, if you see layoffs just happening, if you see one of them, if I see Burger King doing something, I’m thinking what is McDonald’s, think of Russ. So that’s number one number two: where are they spending time? Everybody as a salesperson has to figure out? How do they best communicate? Is it written word? Is it audio? Is it article? Is it in person and how to use the digital world in audio, written or vid you’ll form to create the gateway drug to in person? I look at sales very differently than the far majority.

I think way too many salespeople are patient or impatient. I think way too many salespeople are transactional. I think way too many salespeople are lowest-common-denominator. Spam blast, LinkedIn, email, bulk business card business card business card, so I think I’ve got a different tactic on sales, but don’t get it twisted it’s what I am if you’re not happy with your upside, if you’re not fully fulfilled.

I think a lot of you are doing things that are directly in front of you numbers that they put in front of you you’re trying to achieve that because you have a beach house, you want to buy we’re going that vacation sales is a funny game. If you work in a big company, they manipulate numbers to create your actions. I believe that the best sales people are doing things in a different way. I think you need to care about the customer for real reverse-engineer them and give them what they need.

I’m a better salesperson than you, because I’m the anti salesperson and I think that’s the best salesperson. Please understand that the world has changed in the attention of the person you’re trying to get to is moving into different places, and this big one stop complaining. A great salesperson shuts their mouth and she goes to work every day and tries to bring value to the end-user, and this patient and over time wins the marathon of sales put yourself in that position.

If you mentioned you heard about it on executive conversations so be sure to stay tuned to the end. Take advantage of the free course and let’s get started alright well excited is an understatement to describe and bringing on my next guest. This is paul getter, the internet, marketing nerd paul. Thank you so much for joining us here on the show. Thank you Paul and let me just first of all say you have a great name.

So, wouldn’t you agree, I’ve had mine my entire life. I know it’s never steered me wrong, so we are talking right now to I describe this very generally as a magician who can make a lot of money fall out of the sky with a few clicks of the mouse. That’S always an encouraging feeling Paul. I’M we’re all curious about your background and how you became the internet, marketing nerd yeah. So you know people often ask me: how did you become an entrepreneur and I think, quite frankly, it came out of the fact I needed to get the bills paid, and so I began to kind of like reach out always had kind of like that tech.

Nerd background and was building a website when they first got started and playing around online, but I initially started you know just experimenting with Facebook and building Facebook pages and after a short time, I realized that there was an opportunity that you could monetize your traffic online. So it started out with building little websites doing affiliate, offer, selling t-shirts and, and it just kind of expanded from there.

So how long ago was this? This was about ten years ago, and I you know it was kind of a odd transition. You know a lot of people when they look back at you know around 2008 there was a really tough time economically for a lot of people and housing decline and all that stuff, and so I was in a transition of jobs like a lot of people and So trying to find something to do and kind of leaned on that tech background and got plugged into you know: internet marketing so yeah about ten years ago now Paul I often compare the Internet to the vastness of the free market system right, but now the way I see it is it’s covering the entire world instead of just the West and and and really what it does for the marketer is.

It gives us the freedom to market our products literally to billions of people, and that’s made a lot of people very successful. Would you would you agree with that description of it yeah? Absolutely you know. The cool thing about the Internet is some jobs. You have you know. Recessions, you’ve got ups and downs and flow of the economy, but when you’re working on the line, you’ve got an opportunity that you can work with people in overseas, and so so really the world is your customers, your clients, the entire world? So that’s a beautiful thing because if you’ve got a laptop, a phone and you can connect with people on a global basis, really your opportunity for an income is limitless, exactly yeah.

What it makes me think of it. You know if you, if you look back at history at les, I don’t want to say less regulated times but times when you could be more of a freewheeling entrepreneur in the physical world. It’S now just transplanted itself to cyberspace, but the benefit is the whole world. Is dialed in instead of you having to be within the borders of the US or Canada, or you know the capitalist West right right, yeah! It’S it’s! It’S really! It’S a cool thing, because we’ve had the privilege to work with people literally from around the world.

We worked with people in Africa in Europe and Malaysia, Philippines and Kentucky, and so all over the place. I like it Kentucky. What do you think? I mean this question, probably bugs a lot of people in internet marketing. But what do you think are some of the maybe two or three of the biggest things that prevent people from being successful with it yeah. So I think, first of all I you know there is a learning curve that you have to kind of figure out.

There’S always these shiny things that people they will jump from one thing to the next thing, but what I always tell people when it comes to really becoming successful online. You just kind of like find one specialty, whether it’s learning how to do Facebook ads, really good learning how to do YouTube ads, really good, so find one thing and become the best at it. You know it’s always good to learn a little bit of everything, but you got to kind of like focus in on one specific niche, one specific skill set and not get caught up, because you know once you once you get on those the the email list or You know you’re online you’re targeted, you have all of these different offers, and you know the next best greatest thing, but really there’s.

I know people that are making great money and their education was YouTube. So fine find that niche find that specialty find that special you’ll say just focus on it and be the best you can mmm that’s good advice. So now what I’ve observed here from following you on social media and getting to know you a little bit through Vince’s mastermind is you’ve worked with some very big names in the influencer community.

You know: Grant Cardone Gary Vee ty Lopez, Kevin Harrington when you’re marketing with these people but and they’re playing at that level. How does the strategy evolve from say a small business just trying to market itself on the internet and what are those people usually looking for? With paid advertising yeah so yeah, so first of all, yeah we’ve had the privilege of having relationships with a lot of cool people, some of them just friends and connecting with them on that level.

Some of them we’ve actually ran campaigns for them and help them in their their business model. Uh. You know, here’s here’s the thing when it comes to a person that has you know a huge existing brand. What he will find out is there’s there’s always this warm audience where they can sell anything to where you know if they put something new out that people are going to buy it because they’ve got this really passionate fan base.

But for someone like that to grow, you have to kind of present their message and brand in a way that would appeal to people that have never heard of them before, because, if they’re going to grow, if they’re going to scale, you’ve got to be able to Take their audience and their message and their brand to a global level and begin to tell their story to people that have never heard it before, because you know yeah.

Those are some big names, but there’s people in this world that I’ve never heard of a grant. Cardone that I’ve never heard of ty Lopez so for them to scale their business. You really have to present their message and their product their service in a way that appeals to people where they’re, at and in in what they’re. Looking for so with the people that are outside they’re, their fan base, where this sound sounds to me like it’s, it’s not a single step process like it actually reaches them, and it probably in several waves before they take action on it sure sure yeah.

Well, you know I’ve seen the entrepreneur, personal development space really involved where it used to be hey, I’ve got a product and I’ve got a fancy. Car I’ve got a nice house and people buy it, but it’s evolved and people have become a little bit more keen and they want more than just you know, a little flash and bling and stuff so so yeah. It begins with educating the people and giving them content, giving them value and you’ll see a lot of people that are very successful, that they they have a good way of giving people content.

I’Ll, give you an example of a guy that we had a new client. We just started working with he’s, got a great Instagram and has a good following. Not you know huge, it’s just tens of thousands of people, but he he has great articles great content and he’s just been feeding people his content. Well, this past week we launched a webinar for him, and this is really his first webinar that he’s done within.

You know that the framework of something professionally done, but since he has fed his audience and groomed them over a long period of time, this webinar is is going to make six figures it’s going to make over 100,000 just in in one webinar. So it’s because he’s provided content he’s provided value to people right right, yeah! That’S that’s exactly what I. What I try to teach people with my content, as well as just you know, is make that investment all up front.

Sure then read it. Come back to you in spades, so right right exactly now, maybe I don’t know whether this is a question. You can really speak to Paul, but what what I’m hearing in a lot of places is that Facebook advertising is still very popular, but Facebook is in somewhat of a decline ratings wise as Instagram. You agree with that, or do you have any knowledge and if so, what’s the background there? Yes, so um, here’s here’s! The thing is, I, I think, like probably two or three times a year, there’s an in over the past eight ten years, two or three times a year, there’s some apocalyptic type news about Facebook.

Facebook has changed their algorithm and you’ll never be able to do things. The way you used to do it and Facebook has declined in viewership and Facebook is changing this, and quite honestly when, when that, when I first got into it, I would get. I would panic when I would hear things like that, and then I realized okay, maybe some things change, maybe policies change and you just have to learn to evolve with it.

Here’S one thing about Facebook and we’ve worked with on Facebook, reps and talked with. You know high-level people within Facebook and this is Facebook’s basis – is they are more concerned about the user experience than the revenue, so in other words, they want to deliver an excellent user experience versus trying to make money. Obviously, we know if they give people a good user experience the money’s going to come, but if you just allow it now, there used to be a day when I first got started in on Facebook ads, it was like the wild wild west.

I mean you would see ads on Facebook for anything and everything that you could think of. I mean there was ads for adult products, adult websites – and you know all kinds of garbage, but Facebook has obviously they want to give a better user experience. But there’s there’s always when it comes to ads and advertising. You want to be diversified, you don’t want to just be focused in on Facebook. I mean Facebook’s one of many platforms that we use.

We use Facebook, we use Instagram, we use YouTube, we use Google, we use native ads, so you want to be diversified, because if there is something that is really, you know changes the game, you don’t want to have all your eggs in that basket and you want To be diversified, I I thought you might say that and part of the reason I asked was whenever I hear stuff like that, I always think well wait a minute.

This is one of the largest, if not what the largest for-profit company in the world yeah yeah. This in a relatively unregulated playing field, where you know all of the all of the great capitalism that’s going on in the year 2018 – is taking place. Yeah, that’s thing that they want to do is just see stuff decline and decline and decline and go out of business eventually. So my hunch is always when I hear stuff like that, I’m like well, there may be changing the way they do things you know and then and then they’re going to bounce back and and everybody’s going to be like what decline in ratings ya know I mean It’S I I I remember when Facebook first got rolling, that you know it had a different feel in and they’ve done, a really good job in rolling out different kind of features within Facebook.

You know like right now the the Facebook they’re they’re going into like a kind of a television network, type of format – that’s cool! That’S exciting! People are excited about that. So you know they’ve done a good job in always adapting and giving people what they want. You know if you ever get nervous about Facebook, just follow their earnings reports and it’ll give you an assurance that they’re doing okay, yeah yeah.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XIk5uaBUOpQ

I mean I read that that whole kerfuffle they had a little while back on Capitol Hill and her getting called up there, and I just laughed the whole way through and, like you know these, these people questioning him like they have the first clue of. What’S going on right right, right, yeah, you know I have a as a sort of a ending question here Paul. I actually have a a Kingdom question here because I noticed that I don’t know if that you still do it, but at one point you were pastoring a church.

Yes, absolutely, and so I have quite a significant following locally in the church that I belong to. A lot of people bought my book and a lot of people are very interested in what I’m teaching as a practical tool, taking what I teach in the marketplace and then transferring it over to evangelism. You know right. Community outreach. Is there anything you can point to that you’ve learned in internet marketing that you could really also use to advance the gospel? I mean what could an entrepreneur of faith mm-hmm in the service of God by applying the kind of stuff that you know yeah? So so, absolutely, first of all, I believe that our occupation, our career, is an extension of our ministry in our representation for Jesus Christ.

So the very first thing that we can do is be people of light and integrity within our business, and in that that is something you know, especially within the internet marketing world there’s. You know all kinds of people that play different games and there’s lack of integrity and everything like that. So if you can be above that, first of all that’s going to connect with people – and you know if people google, my name Paul Gator – they will find out really quickly that I’m a pastor of a church so and people do that, and you know quite frankly, I have probably had people that have felt like.

Maybe I don’t want to work with this guy because it’s a pastor, you know they get reading some of my articles on YouTube me preach and, like I don’t know, if I like this guy, but to me, I’m like well, if they wouldn’t want to work with Me because of that then chances are, I probably wouldn’t want to work with them either. So hey, you know that that works, but here’s here’s the cool thing when it comes to the Internet.

We are at an unprecedented opportunity where, with the click of a button, I can get the gospel to millions of people around the world, and I work with several really cool clients that also are Christian and have this. This desire to get the message out, and so using the social media using internet using paid ads, whatever you want to do, is really it’s a powerful opportunity to think about this. The years ago, to put a have a article on get millions of views.

That was that was unheard of on television, but through the internet you can have a article put some money behind it and if you’re presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ, you can get that message out to millions of people. So it’s really it’s an awesome opportunity and yeah the church. We should capitalize on this opportunity. I agree, I agree and that’s one of the reasons I asked you is so many there’s, so many people who are not directly involved in the actual professional ministry, meaning people who are not pastors are on staff at a church, but they are bringing and embodying and Living that message out in the marketplace every day I know I’m written all time, yeah yeah, I’m just thinking you know we should we should.

We should make an effort to educate them on how they can apply that so so they can start to get some of that momentum and build on it and leads to success in in anything whether it’s business or the gospel is those little victories. That add up to bigger ones. Absolutely you know going back to that question one of the first things that sparked my interest when it came into facebook marketing. There was a young lady at our church.

She was going off to college and she said: pastor Paul. You need to set up a Facebook page, so we can stay in contact, I’m like who does Facebook. You know that’s again, it was just a new thing then, and I really I I wasn’t interested in it and then so I I gave in I set up a Facebook page and I saw that businesses also. You know they had facebook business pages. So I said, oh well, let me set up one for the church and I set up a Facebook page for our church.

You know just did it because I you know that was the thing that you should do, but when things changed for me is I a couple came to church and I got talking to them. I said where’d you hear about us and they said. Oh, we saw your Facebook page and then it was at that moment. I realized this is real stuff. These are real people, this really works and so we’ve. You know: we’ve used Facebook and in other ad platforms to generate visitors to our church and do large campaigns, and so so really it’s a powerful tool.

Yeah absolutely. I agree Paul if, if somebody wants to find you or wants to find out more about your services, where would where would we want to send them? So the easiest place to get in contact with me is just connect with me on Instagram. This is how easy it is on instagram. My instagram name is paul. That’S it just p AUL. So if you’re going to Instagram Instagram comm backslash Paul, you will get to my Instagram page and myself or someone on our team is always good about checking the messages, and I think that’s probably where we connected at initially was on Instagram, so connect with me on Instagram and we can start up a conversation there and of course you can also pick up Paul’s course become a social media rockstar is that is that still available Paul yeah yeah? Digital Marketing For Real Estate Agents: Influence – Gary Vee Style!

Looking at you differently, it’s where you go from being looked at as another salesperson to a community leader being the digital mayor is all about building your tribe. My passion is helping real estate agents grow their trust Authority and local celebrity through marketing, so you can attract better quality leads that won’t want to work with anyone else.

I’M Sebastian malinovski and if you’re new here please consider subscribing, don’t forget that rinky-dinky Bally thingy-thingy button, you don’t hit that Bell button. It’S like you, don’t even exist. Okay, let’s get into it. Let’S talk about the digital mayor. What does that mean? Essentially, it means you need to grow a local following you need to grow your tribe. The key to taking your real estate business to the next level is for everyone in the community to get to know you and going back just to give you a quick story.

When I started rebuilding my real estate business years ago, I stopped focusing on making cold calls essentially chasing leads one to one, and I started focusing on different questions and the biggest question I had was: how can I communicate to everybody in my community? How do I get the community to look at me not as a real estate agent but a community leader, and that’s how I started creating my new real estate strategies, my new systems, this article will specifically talk about being the digital mayor.

What does it take? What is that all about, and yes, it’s to grow your tribe, but why do you grow a tribe? Why is it necessary for any real estate agent to grow their tribe or essentially grow their local influence to be a micro celebrity in their city? I’Ll give you three examples: three names of people that you may know being in the real estate industry number one Gary Vaynerchuk number, two Ryan Serhant know three Tom ferry.

I figure I’d come up with some names that most agents are aware of. Let’S talk about Gary Vaynerchuk first: is he an influencer? Yes? Does he have a following or a tribe? Yes, a pretty big one. He is a business influencer and many real estate agents know him and follow him. Let’S take a look at Ryan Serhant he’s the guy from million dollar listing in New York. Does he have a following? Yes, is he an influencer? Yes, he’s a real estate agent out in New York, but but obviously his business is on another level.

Why? Because he’s got a huge following he’s: an influencer he’s the digital mayor. He has a tribe. Now, let’s look at Tom ferry. Most real estate agents know him as the real estate coach does. He have influence? Yes, he has his own tribe. He has a following of real estate agents, so you can see how each one of these people have influence in one way, Gary Vaynerchuk in the business world Ryan Serhant when it comes to local influence, he’s an agent and, of course, Tom ferry.

He has a following of real estate agents, so how does that apply to you? How can you take this concept and implement that into your business? Well, essentially, you have to do the same thing. The quickest, the easiest way of doing that is to actually create connection content. I mention that in the very last article connection, content is when you actually go out into the community and you interview, for example, a business owner or an entrepreneur.

You set up your article camera and you have a quick, 20 30 40 minute discussion and you record that then you take that content and you put it out online. This is going to start growing your local influence, because now people aren’t going to be looking at you as just another salesperson that is chasing a commission dollar. They will look at you as a local, influencer and authority, somebody that cares about the local community and the people that live in it, not just about selling homes, and when you look that as not just another salesperson, but somebody that cares about their community.

That’S when you start growing your tribe, your local influence and here’s. The interesting thing that happens with this article that local business owner takes that content and spreads it online on their social media platforms and guess what now this other influencer a business owner is sharing you with the community so instantly you get hundreds or thousands of eyeballs. Looking back at you and that’s how it grows, you create one article in exchange, you can get hundreds or thousands of eyeballs looking back at you and you keep doing that over and over so you’re leveraging the community to have a win-win situation: you’re helping that business Owner attract clients because now you’re doing them a favor, you’re marketing them and they’re doing you a favor by spreading who you are to the community.

Does that make sense? And that’s how you grow your tribe? That’S how you grow your local influence and become the digital mayor. Here’S the bottom line. This is what it all boils down to. If you genuinely care about your community, your community will genuinely care about you. You have to be a leader and every successful leader has a following. That does two things your tribe will promote you and protect.

You. Have you noticed online? Let’S take Gary Vaynerchuk, for example, he will put out a piece of content and that content may spark. What’S the word, I’m looking for friction that piece of content will create friction among people online. The true followers of Gary Vaynerchuk they’re, going to protect him they’re going to defend him online, and you will see those comments on Facebook, for example, they’ll protect them against the people that may not even know what Gary is all about.

They’Re going to start bashing Gary online, for whatever reason we all see this happen on lines with all influencers. Your tribe will protect you because they know that you are there for them to help them. Your tribe will also spread your content. Gary’S content gets spread. Constantly love them or hate, that’s not what this article is about. I want you to see the point in this that God has massive influence, but you can also have the same influence in your local city, the concepts the techniques are the same and when you pay attention to what influences are doing and actually bring that into your Real estate business, which, of course I show how to do in tribe agent how to take somebody like Gary Vaynerchuk, see what they’re doing reverse-engineer it.

So you can apply it to your business. That’S really when your business will start to take off but notice how this is the very last step. You have to have the foundation in place because, when your community will will start sharing your content and they will start referring business to you, you have to make sure that your foundation or your systems are there already. Last thing you want is a flood of quality leads coming in, because, when you’re being referred, those type of leads are obviously better quality.

Last thing you want is to disappoint these people bottom line. If you want to grow your tribe, be the digital mayor and start being looked at as a community leader, a community influencer start caring about your community question of the day. Do you know any real estate agents who are doing a great job in being the digital mayor in their community? If you do, please, let me know who they are in the comment section below i’m sebastian malinovski, that’s it for today until next time have yourself an awesome day.

Top 2020 Marketing Strategies That Will Put You on the Map | RD Summit 2019

That’s how I feel an entrepreneur is you’re, always ready for another fire. Whether it’s two o’clock in the morning or nine fifteen. You have to be ready! And I don’t struggle with that, because I’ve been practicing It my whole life, which is why I fear when people try to become entrepreneurs. Because it’s cool Now… I worried about that, because it’s very hard. Every single day I lose And unless you’re good at What you will not like. You have to have passion!

You got your perspective, happy, Don’t You want to be happy? Let’s be happy! First of all, I’m just Very flattered to be here, Thank you for check out what I am going to say!

Who I am

That don’t know who I am I was born in the Soviet union came to America when I was A three year old child, a very tough upbringing. We were very poor when we first came to America, I lived in a one studio apartment with seven of my family members, my parents, my dad, worked all the time, and so it was a very rough upbringing. Not a lot of entitlement. Didn’T have a lot of stuff. My natural state was To be an entrepreneur, Even at six, seven, years old. I was already shoveling snow, washing people’s cars, selling juice and lemonade for a buck or two.

It was always to do a hustle somewhere along the way. In New Jersey, sports cards became very big thing in America and that is how I started collecting them and by the time I was 13-14 years old, I was making $1 to $15 a weekend. As which you can imagine, feels like you’re a millionaire Eventually, my dad worked very hard and saved all his money and he bought a small dagger store in New Jersey, I was forced to work in that store. And that is really where I started my real career.

I fell in love with the idea of knowing that a lot of people in America collected daggers, and that was what kind of connected me to my family business. The part of the story that Gets interesting for this room is what happens next. Knowing that there’s A lot of entrepreneurs in here knowing there’s a bunch of small businesses a lot of small business agencies. What really enables me, the great flattering, nature of being in this world. In fact that my entire career was based on.

How do I build something with not a lot of money? You know we live in a world right now, where a lot of people. So if we can keep the lights on, that’d be amazing. I love that So for me. What’s interesting. I’m 43 about to be 44 next week and when I grew up the idea of raising capital. Was extremely foreign, one of the most interesting things being an American businessman when I travel nationally, internationally and other places in the world. Is everybody is so caught up with raising Money for their startup. This has become an entire Generation of hands in the air that think about raising capital and appeasing venture. Capitalists and investors not actually building a business and not having the focus there. And to me this is very interesting because it’s led to a lot Of very different behavior, For me, everything was always About how do you make money and that’s what you invest? Back into your business, not how do you raise capital When I started my deal, which is An advertising agency, I started it in a room.

Patience is a must!

Room of another company, because I had no money and I Wasn’T going to raise money for the business. I was just going to find my first client. Use those dollars and Just keep reinvesting It took longer, but longer was it strength. I think one of the most important words for me to communicate in this post today by far is patience. I promise you no matter what you’re doing. You must have drive!

First of all, everyone’s uncomfortably attractive, number two and more importantly. I think the reality is the thing that I spend most of my time on is trying to get people to understand that patience. It is a very important valuable of success! I believe the far majority of people in this world do not have a Great relationship with time, I am fascinated by people, who are stressed at the ages of 18 and 22 and 25 and 29, like they’re, running out of time.

The way that modern medicine and technology is going to be for another 80 years is unknown. It really gets me excited slash concerned when people want their Business to be huge next year. The quicker you want it. The more vulnerable you are. My style of communication is fast, but my business Actions are extremely slow and so what business actions that lead to slowness lead? To is a couple things One, the far majority of My career, I had no money, so I had to always look for places where you could get a lot more for less.

What I look for in the digital world. This world is organic reach! When I think about organic reach and when I think about organic attention. I day trade attention for me every day. I look at the data both in the analytics and in the culture conversations to try to figure out where should I market. I promise you one thing, my friends, no matter what You do in this audience, no matter what your ambition is.

The one thing that combines all of us, whether we’re starting tomorrow, whether we’re an employee, whether we have a huge company or haven’t even started. The one requirement for all of us is to have somebody’s attention. Before you can sell anything, you need somebody’s attention, Then what you say in the written word in audio or in article becomes the variable if you are successful.

The reason I follow attention – Is if there was nobody in here right now and I was giving this talk, I would have no potential To achieve what I want. At the same token, with All of you. What I talk about for the next and is my success. There are many of you here. That don’t know who I am. You’ll leave with an opinion. There’S many people who do know who I am and you’re either going to Like me, more or like me less. COMPLETELY predicated on the content that I put out. I spend my life in a very basic mind frame and if you look at the Politics of your country, my country, if you look at the businesses, it’s all one very simple game.

Do you understand where the People are and what they’re consuming and do you understand how To do the written words? The audio or the article to Put in those platforms? This is how it’s always been. Television, radio print Outdoor billboards, It’s always been the same game. Where is the attention? the eyes and the ears, and what is our capability? To put content in it.

Now: here’s where it gets different.

This thing is fucking crazy. This thing is unbelievably underestimated. We in this workd take this for granted. The power of a phone in Today’s world is remarkable: The fact that every one Of us are sitting here with the internet in our hands. Right now is actually remarkable For somebody like me, at 43 years old. When I was 28, I could not leave the office or my home and have the internet in my hand, when I was 30, you have to understand how big of a deal that is.

You have to understand how Quickly, this is all happening, whether it’s WhatsApp Or YouTube or Instagram, or tick-tock or Twitter. The fact that these platforms Sit on top of this device and they’re accessible right now. The fact that there are Tons of people right now with a phone reading this and then have the ability to post it. My friends from Brazil to New York to London to Shanghai, the human race has not quantified how substantial this shift.

Blame Game

Of the internet has become – And I tell you this and I start here today with this cause: Here’s the real honest truth about how the game of life and Definitely, businesses played The quickest way to be happy in life. Let alone business is To be 100 % accountable, The quickest way to be Unhappy is to blame, If you really understood what I am saying. The fact that how many people have a cell phone. Every single person fundamentally is not allowed to have an excuse, because the power of what’s in your hand, Of course, there’s family dynamics, Of course, there’s tragedies. Of course, there’s government involvements. Of course there’s a million reasons, but the reality is. We have never lived through a time where people at scale have so much opportunity. When I do the homework On the Brazilian market – and I see the cost for a Youtube. When I see an Instagram ad, and I see how low it is. When I see how much still unbelievable untapped potential on LinkedIn, Tic Tock and other platforms are for organic reach. Where you have to spend no money, none and you can get awareness.

The fact that podcasting is exploding in this country and the cost to start a Podcast is to just record it on your phone and upload it. The thing that I’ve become unbelievably fascinated by is, I know in this world, the single reason: whatever is not happening: For you is your ability to say no before you’ve tried. That to me is unbelievable. What’s unbelievable to me, Is it’s as simple as this? If you are capable of writing words, recording articles on your phone or recording your thoughts, In audio on your phone, your business can grow.

Your idea can be flourished. Your personal brand is an influencer. Your advertising shop, Trying to get more customers whatever you want to be. You want to be a YouTube celebrity. The reality is, the cost is zero. The mindset is the tricky part. 90% of this audience does not post as often as they should on these platforms because they worry about The judgment of their family or strangers – This is a very, very very fascinating dilemma: in our society there are people who are not posting.

I mean look how many people here follow my content. I’m very consistent: You can, I’m sure you’re in your head knowing every word I’m about to say, As I start a sentence, I’m incapable of talking about Something, I don’t believe that nuances are different. Obviously, Twitter doesn’t play in brazil the same way it does in the: U S right, Tic-Tock, moving quicker in Asia then the U S. LinkedIn’s acting a Little bit different in Brazil: What’s up Apps has higher growth in Brazil than it does in the U S: There’s nuance differences, but my friends: this is not about America or Brazil.

This is about human beings In America. In Brazil, in China, people worry about their parents’ opinion. In America, in Brazil, in China, people care about strangers. Making fun of them In the comments in America? In Brazil in China, the opportunity to build your business or your personal brand has never been easier,l. People see more people doing it and they think they’re too late. The real answer should are never too late.

Of the people in here do not have the patients and stomach to actually achieve it? They want it so fast. My friends, I did dagger library TV on Youtube in 2006 excuse me, 2007 to 2010 for 35 minutes A day five days a week, I would stay up and Work on Twitter for four or five hours, looking for People who were talking about wine and for three years every day very little happened for me Very little. People now start An Instagram account post for six weeks and give up because they’re not Getting enough followers We’ve become remarkably impatient, We’ve become remarkably Entitled, and so the reality is, is the following: tactically tactically, how many people Here are B2B companies, They have an agency servicing Clients or some of them major You’re in a B2B business, Raise your hands for everybody.

That raised your hand, You must You must do one of two things consistently starting tomorrow. Number one start a Podcast in your industry, You must start a podcast. Go on LinkedIn, go into your inbox and email 25 50 people and ask them to be guests on your show And number two. You must Attack LinkedIn more, I think people very much underestimate how much is happening. There in this market, I did the homework.

It’S there. It people don’t see it, because not that many people are doing it, which is the reason it’s most interesting. It’S so funny when I Speak at these events, people always fall into two groups Number one. They don’t want. To do it cause it’s new and they want to see other People do it before they do it Or number two other people are doing it, so they think they’re too late. So they didn’t want to do it.

People are split up in Two places of not doing We live in a world a world where everybody has a reason for no. I can’t do it because of this. I don’t have the money, I don’t have the team. My industry doesn’t want to do it. I can’t I can’t I can’t The fundamental difference. In the game, today is the people that say yes blindly versus the people that say no blindly, The only unique leverage You have in this room, is you yourself, There’s so much information? Now, you’re not coming up with any new idea, There’s nothing.

I say that is a new idea. People have been around too long, I’m not the first person To talk about kindness or gratitude or empathy, Or hard work or context, I’m really not I’m just doing it. My way in the way, my perspective, my words on my platform and for me is the real Conversation today to me is today going to be. The conference Is today going to be the time That you finally understand that it is time to put it out.

It is time to tell your Story at scale contextually across all platforms, recognizing that a lot of People did not raise their hand, and this may be the first time that a lot of you are seeing me, I’m just going to take one more step back. I believe that what the internet is doing is eliminating the middle. It’S eliminating the middle, the distribution. When you look at Uber or Amazon Or if you look at Netflix, what it’s really doing is Separating out the middle and it’s leaping it to one of two places: The product, the story, the service and your ability to tell that story.

I believe this is very important, because this is not even for The youngsters in this room – This is not the world we Necessarily grew up with A world where the entire Middle of distribution has been commoditized because the internet has become the middle and the focus on not just The quality of the product but, more importantly, the deep focus on the Ability to communicate has never become greater.

The ability to be a communicator in 2020 has now become Disproportionally more powerful than even the quality of your product, And that may be confusing and it’s a very interesting debate. But the reality is a product. Is a subjective product, One more time, B2B who does services raise it high? I just want to get a sense higher. All of you that just raised your hands. You know what I know. Sometimes you Think the product’s great, but your client thinks that shit Other times you kind of know.

That the product is shitty, but the client thinks it’s great. The work is subjective based on the queen or the King. On the other side who gets to this side your ability to be a Phenomenal communicator, How many people see it where And how is less subjective The content in it is subjective, but the results are There, through the leads, through the results that come through it. I believe today that, if You’Re in the business world that the ability to be a communicator, a content producer at The height of the scale for your product has become more important than any other variable.

I would rather be great at YouTube and podcasting and LinkedIn and Instagram Then be great at balancing my checkbook that I can hire an for. This skill is emerging. And accelerating at scale so here’s how this game Breaks down for me One, I think everybody here Has to take a step back and figure out what Kind of communicator are they individually, Even if you sit here today and do not believe it is your job within the organization to Communicate up eventually, especially at the age level, That everybody here is Eventually this skill set.

Will become important to you, whether it’s now later in your career, within your family dynamics and definitely over the next 2030 40 years as communication rises in Importance not declines. Thus, my great ask my great Ambition to fly down here, three flights to get here – And flying right back home, The reason for me to be here: Is very focused on the notion of. Can I get five people There’s a lot of people here? Can I get five people in here? To start tomorrow or Monday, If you want to take the weekend, Off to start making content, The world is very simple: The world is breaking Into a very simple game, ideas and making, do you have ideas? Can you make them, But it requires an incredible Sense of self awareness, I’m very passionate for Many people in this room who are introverted and who would be scared, To give this speech or who feel uncomfortable, In front of a camera to understand that, if you Are a remarkable writer there, an incredible world for you For those who are scared to Be in front of the camera, because they’re scared of how they look or they’re just uncomfortable That recording your ideas or what you’re about in Audio is an incredible time to be alive and there’s an Incredible world to you, It’s a matter of fact, even more interesting.

To me, if you’re somebody that likes to doodle to draw some of the most exciting things that I’m seeing in my content is when we’re doing cartoons On LinkedIn and Instagram, That might be the way that you communicate when you figure out how you communicate Written word, audio article. The next part, is definitely The most challenging, If you ask me why, over the last 10 years I have been given the Great fortune to be here, It’s very simple.

I spend almost all of my time and all of my content. Trying to bring value with no expectation in return. If you look at the Content that most people and companies and organizations put out if you look at it carefully, And you dissect it, it is wildly selfish, It is either a commercial in itself or its main objective is to Get you to fill out your email, your phone number, your information, so that I can sell to you.

Instead of bring you Value to build a brand, I wrote a book several years. Ago called jab, jab, jab right hook and the reason I wrote it was because I was reading People on social media really struggle with the Idea of bringing value – and I wanted to give them A scenario of understanding that, if you’re trying to Sell and throw a right hook all the time eventually The other person knows how to duck everybody.

How many people here Have done email marketing in their life Raise your hands Great, So for everybody, Who just raised your hands? I was doing email marketing in 1997 1998 and I had 90 % open Rates on my email today, If you’re in the 30s you’re a hero, means you have a tremendous list. And you’re doing a great job, The reason those lists Have gone from 90 to 30 is because I’m sure everybody Here knows where I’m going: We’ve ruined email because we’re spamming and selling on it at all times.

That’S what happens to every platform. That’S exactly what we’re Doing on social media Now the reason social Media is subtly declining and the reason the algorithms Always have to change. Is people do not have the Disciplined to not self promote People do not have the discipline to not try to sell on every post. The other problem is when People try to make pretend they’re giving value In disguise, underneath they’re actually trying To sell my friends, What’s scary, about the Way I go about business and what I believe I see what the businesses That are most winning in the world.

Is It’s super basic? Just nobody wants to do it. It almost be like if I was standing up here talking about health and wellness, my friends, if you want to get into better shape, here’s how you do it, Stop eating shit and workout every day. Thank you very much See you later, Brazil. That would be the whole talk. That is no different than How I see business today, Obviously you have to have A product and service, but the reality is very simply the formula is as basic as it is in fitness If you are not producing content and when I say content just to put this into Context for everybody next week is my birthday.

I’Ve had my team work for the last month, We’ve made a deck a couple hundred pages deck, We’re going to give it away for free. It shows you how to make 60 Something pieces of content in a day. The reality is the requirement. Of how much content that I’m? Looking for you To produce to achieve You know about numbers that look like 30, 40, 50. 60 Pieces of content a day Most of the businesses and people in here are putting out one piece of Content a day on a good day, maybe three a week, We, if you’re a personal brand, you’re killing it and Posting four things a day: There is nobody that is Achieving the volume, If you want to write down one word and stick it in your mirror, From this whole talk, the word is volume.

This is a volume warfare. When people hear volume, They hear quantity When they hear quantity. They don’t think that You could make quality, They think it’s a friction. Between quantity and quality, I believe that the world has grossly overvalued production quality and made that quality, not the story or the Context of the message, And so as we have spent The last 30 to 50 years putting production value On a pedestal as quality, we have put ourselves in a Position to not value context and the actual story: And in that is the rub and the opportunity, the sheer size of this country, the sheer amount of spend, even in the separation of wealth, The uncanny amount of attention on YouTube and Instagram in this Country leads this to be one of the most interesting Places in the world to be a marketer to be a marketer to be an influencer to be a startup.

However, when I spent because I gave a speech in st Pelo a couple of weeks ago so about three months ago, I started really doing homework. On what’s the sentiment, What are people saying in the comments? What’S the vibe, What’s remarkable in such a progressive and incredible country, is how Much similarities there are Believe it or not. What the US, which is With all that in place, there is still so much cynicism and pessimism to actually achieve it.

That is not a government Issue with your new president or ours, That is not a problem that You don’t have Silicon Valley, That is a problem that People would rather complain than put in the fucking work. That is a human problem That Is a global human problem If this was 1957 and it was my grandfather and all of your grandparents, I would have some empathy because it real money to Actually do what I’m saying, but in 2019 with this, I Struggle to deploy empathy for you not doing, which is What led me to not making this a game about your wallet? Many people think business Is a game of this business is not a game of this.

This is Right now is a game of this. This has come down to the simple Deep warfare in one’s head: What What is stopping people From actually making content – and I believe that it comes down to one simple word judgment – I believe that judgment Is crippling our society? I am fascinated and grateful Grateful like you would not Imagine for my mother building self esteem in me without Creating entitlement My self esteem allows when I leave here in a couple of hours, and I read the comments and I control copy it and Translate it from Portuguese to English, where one of you Say that I’m an asshole, I’m okay, I want to give the next talk.

I want to make the next piece of content My ability to deal with losing pushback Negativity. No Is my strength, my entire Model of content production, My entire thesis for this Talk only has one major flaw in that people are insecure. I spend my life putting Out content, 50 70 80 pieces a day with the great hope to Eliminate that insecurity to challenge you and Ask you what judgment why? Why are you willing to live? A life that ultimately ends with regret and resentment Because everybody who’s 90, at a hundred years old talks about the things they wish.

They did not the things they did And so for me, Brazil, very simply, I’m trying to challenge This room to understand the simplicity of the framework and the massive difficulty in the head and really lead to a couple tactics, For example, tactic number One one of the biggest things that I have seen work in People starting the process to produce content is To make a single article and tell the world their secret that they’ve been holding onto, If you really think about What stopping people it’s the darkness and Shadows, inside of them, by putting it out and taking Control of your secret, your dyslexia, your Terrible issue as a child, your relationship with X, your drinking problem, whatever it might be by You taking control of it by putting it out no longer.

Does anybody else, Have leveraged to expose it, It is a freedom play and I highly and listen if you really want to know forget about the five People that post tomorrow, If I can get one person one person in here to leave This conference tonight and make a article and tell the world the truth: That they’ve been holding onto this will be mission fucking accomplished. Thank you. Dad [ Crowd Clapping ].

I want to go into questions. In about five or 10 minutes, so let me speak. Let me See where the mikes are, but I’m going to line them up here and we’ll figure that out. But before I do, I want to spend a few More minutes on audio For a lot of people here they missed YouTube. They missed Instagram, I believe, there’s two places where you have a chance over The next couple of years to not miss it Number one you have to read: Ticktock very carefully: If tick top takes off Seriously in this market there will be an enormous Amount of opportunity, because the global penetration in Asia – the? U S, Europe – is exploding, What’s so amazing to live.

In a country of this size and this much opportunity, And you guys know this: is you can see these platforms? Exploding somewhere else and you can get a head start – And play it here outside of orchid, which became the player here, Every other platform Eventually makes its way here and became the dominant player, Please please do not underestimate what is happening on ticktock globally and where the potential Sits in this market, You should absolutely, If you’re at this conference, if you’re smart enough To be at this conference, you should be smart enough to go home and execute around the thesis.

Around the opportunities around the knowledge, One is tick-tock number two is voice. We are becoming much more of An audio consumption world by show of hands How many people here Now, listen to a podcast, Raise your hands, raise it high. I want everybody to look around. Look at this, Put it down for a second Those same people. How many of you were listening? To a podcast five years ago, Raise your hand, Look around Look at that growth.

Look at that growth! How many people here now when They read YouTube articles, sometimes just put the phone down and listen to it and don’t Even read the article Raise your hands. Look at us. Look at us D rock spends all this time. Making it look pretty new Fuckers, Just listened to it, Audio is becoming the growing Usage because we’re busy – and we want to do two things at once – Three things at once: four things at once, One of the biggest Opportunities in this room is understanding how big audio is and producing audio content.

Everybody wants to be a marketer, but most people in this Room are salespeople, It’s why they like Google, Google’s easy. It’S intent, Somebody types something In you know they want it, So you buy the ads and you convert That’s sales. I’M here to talk about. Branding and marketing The way real things are built, the way the biggest companies In the world are built, The biggest personalities Celebrities brands they’re built for branding And marketing, not sales Audio is no question The fastest growing Opportunity to build a brand that most people are not doing.

Please be the person in This room that goes back and actually starts a podcast. Please be the person here. Who actually starts recording their thoughts and just posting the article I mean you could Literally, take your phone hit memo record, put the phone down, it’s just a black screen and You can post a black screen with your words You can most of you won’t because you don’t think that’s quality, This subjective point.

Of view around quality is stopping the world from making. We must flip that on its head, Please be the person in This room that leaves here and starts making Thank you. [ Crowd, Clapping ]. I left a lot of time for Q and a because I really the theory is very simple. The details and the questions matter. So who’s got the mics. You’Ve got the mics, So you’ve got to run around Who’s. Got a question. Raise your hands! Yup! I’M going to translate to you: Okay, Hi Hi! I love you! Actually, my Family whole family loves you Thank you.

I just came from Canada, So I am an immigrant in Canada. I Zillow and my son listened To your podcast every day, He’s nine years old, Sorry about him! My daughter is 11 years old, So I ask him “: what do you Want to say to your GaryVee?”, He said eh say to him that I love him, Then he’s awesome And I’m sorry and you are so fun. I read it off you Thank you for that and bye I’m shaking because as an immigrant, as you know, I’m leaving Canada for 13 years now – and I suffer a lot – It was terrible Even for my children that was born there and if you’re there, just To eat Brazilian food at the school was very scary, And my daughter was Bullied because of that, So my question is: what can I, as a mum, do for my kids Sure? Thank you You’re welcome.

Thank you. Can I have a photo? Please? Yes, you can have a photo, So I think business and parenting have a lot of similarities. So when I hear those kinds of stories and I’m sure how many People here are parents, raise your hands So for all the hands that just went up. You know how challenging it is Like you can have common Sense everywhere else, but when it’s your kids it’s hard to maintain it, But I believe that self Esteem is the ultimate cure to everything And I think most parents go On defense, when their kids are hurting instead of off Bence, So when their kids are bullied, they want to go fight the school.

They want to go fight. The parent of the kid It’s defense for me as Somebody who was bullied because I was a Soviet Immigrant in America and my childhood, when the Soviet union was the enemy, there was plenty of shit. I mean. If you can. Zoom in I’ve got goosebumps. It was a very challenging time, but what my mom did was she went insular. It was authentic. It was me and her in my own Head hearing nothing else By the time I was in high school, I couldn’t hear anybody else.

It didn’t matter by the way, both pro and con. So for me, I think the thing you can Do is beat into their head about them, not about the People in Montreal or Toronto or Canada – It’s not about them. It’S about yourself inside your own head, your own self worth and And you have to pound it A lot of parents who are like, Oh so easy to say, but when their kids are making you’re right, but it’s no different than working out and eating healthy.

It’S no different than may content and put on all the platforms. The answer is simple: pounded into your kid’s head, their own self worth not the opinions of others, There’ll be a happy person or whole life. The problem is most parents, Aren’T acting that way, so it’s hard for them to give advice that they don’t even feel themselves, But that is the answer. You’Re welcome Questions. Yup. Thank you.

How are you Find you Very good Been following you for many years, So I am so happy to be Face to face with you. Thank you, I’m kind of nervous. Don’T worry, Okay, So I came all the way. From extremely little town in San Quan in Argentina called San Juan, So I mean I’ve been for a couple months or maybe years praying to figure out. If I have to leave my small town or I’m just a stay. Around there be patients, I wait for my business to be like big.

What kind of businesses that are A digital agency That so my question is, would you imagine Yourself as a business man as a size, as you are right now Stay in New Jersey for Example or in a small town I understand So the question for you and Everybody here is what’s big right, Because because this is Where people get caught, It’s so simple, Being in a small town in Argentina thinking, you have to go to San Paolo or you have to go to Benesede or you have to go to New York city.

It’S easy! It’S easy! You’Re, like that’s a Much bigger place to go The question: is it comes down to what makes you happy For me? What makes me Happy is to play the game, Not the money, not how big or small I just want to play. I’Ve always wanted to play I’ve readed, so many people Have a $ 1 million business in a small town in America or in the world, move to a bigger place, do 5 million and be very unhappy.

They were very happy at 1. Million in their small town, They went to a bigger town, They do 10 million and They’Re very unhappy, My friend, Brazil. It is time that we in the start making Happiness what we go after, Not more money! Thank you We have to. We have to right For me. When I hear bigger, I want you to have a bigger fucking smile on your pretty face, Not make 280,000 more in fucking net revenue.

You understand You have to decide that for yourself I don’t know You have to decide that for yourself, [ Crowd, Clapping, ], Hey Gary! How are you I’m good, I’m so good, I’m following you for almost three years, and I just want to see thank You for all of your content, You really change it by life. And would mean the world to have a picture with you. Can I Yes, you can. Thank you Right now. Right now.

I know. Oh, thank you Give the mic back. Oh, are you sure Thank you. You’Re welcome, [ Crowd, clapping ], all right get out of here. Let’S go Who’s next Hi Hi. First of all, I’m a huge fan. Thank you. You have taught me a lot about Perspective and gratitude and happiness, I’m so nervous, Don’t be So me and my sister we Are starting a B to B company and we are trying to sell A training and consulting for HR teams and litter teams – Okay – And I know we are not putting As many content as we should, The other, Why Why do you think Talk To me real We’re here, Why Well she lives in another town.

So it’s a little difficult for us to-! Well, you don’t both Have to be in the content: Yeah yeah, no, and but she Needs a lot of help for me because I know how to Do things and how to how to film articles and I’m teaching her Okay And she’s a little? She Doesn’T have a lot of confidence, She’s really good. She knows her craft Yeah. So what about writing Or what about audio? I feel like so many people.

That don’t have confidence are very scared of the camera, but can do much much better. Writing or recording audio Yeah. This is why I spent so Much time on it, in my talk, I don’t want people to Be like me, not listen, Not everybody is ridiculously Handsome and charismatic, you know what I mean, though I don’t want people to be like me, I want people to be like me, Where they found their voice in their medium, But for a lot of you in This room: that’s writing! If you’re, more introverted or insecure, a lot of writers are Come from that framework – or I really like audio so keep that in mind, but keep going And she’s doing cold calls.

And trying to reach companies in her region, But I’m just guessing what else can we do? Besides content that I Know who should be doing content get our first clients just to Do it for free Yeah, The biggest mistake small companies make? Is they don’t work for free And then now that I said This on the internet, so many people are going to leave comments and say that I’m an idiot and they hate me and nobody should work for free and blah blah blah.

That’S fine, But those are set by people that have never started a Company with no customers, That’s right, And so I mean I did it and I had already built a big business. But I went into a new World, where people thought what I did for the liquor, Store was not going to work, So I worked for free. I still do it if I think It’S the right strategy, So I think the biggest thing You should do is work for free because it gives you the referral base And by the way, when nobody’s hiring you.

That means your work is worth free. Can I have a selfie? You can yeah Okay Who’s next on 5 mins? Okay, How are you Go ahead? I can listen: Okay, Gary [, Foreign Language, ]. Thank you, [ Foreign Language, ], Sorry, my fucking life, [, Foreign language, ]. Don’T try to convince anybody. The number one mistake when You’Re selling something new that most people don’t understand is people spend too much Time trying to convince them instead of finding the person That already understands people make it a noble Mission instead of a business, My friend, I’ve been right and early for The last 20 years of my life, I have spent almost no time Trying to convince anybody, I sometimes have a one hour: Meeting with a company fly from New York to Chicago walk in sit down Start the presentation.

And ended after 10 minutes cause. I already know it’s over Every minute that you spend Trying to convince somebody who’s already know, is a minute That you’re not spending Trying to find somebody that will say yes, [ Foreign Language, ], Of course, because you’re not when you’re selling something new, they can’t see it or they don’t have reports in Their company to justify it Got it So if they don’t have the Report to justify your work, they’re scared.

They might agree with you, but The machine that they work in won’t allow them to say yes, So you just move on. Thank you, You’re welcome, Sign it Got it. Okay! Next, Hey Gary Hello. How are you First of all you’re awesome? My name is Luca and I read Our content since on 19 now I’m 22, so thank you. For being part of that, Thank you. I want you to ask you something that I believe is really important.

You are the first guy to Talk about making content, making really quality content, But I’m afraid that the internet is a place with very anxiety. I mean Instagram causes a lot of anxiety. Instagram doesn’t cause anything. People are anxious, Yes, But this is important Instagram there is no Instagram. There is a platform We post pictures and humans decide to see somebody having a nice time and they decide to be upset.

It’S important, though, Keep going Yeah. My question is: how can we we all here at these event, Can help these platforms are part of platforms being mindful Peep better By not putting out by Putting out real shit If everybody here didn’t Only put out photos when they’re, most dressed up, going to the most fancy place and showing everybody how Fucking amazing, their life is the world would be in a better place.

[ Crowd, Clapping ]. Thank you Not super complicated Dirac and I are going to end this talk, I’m about to do in five minutes. The fireside chat We’re Going to do a book signing We’re going to run to the airport, We’re going to take a private plane cause I have to get to San Palo cause. I want to get home for Family early tomorrow morning There will be no picture. Of me at a private plane, I’m not going to show that I’m fancy.

That’S not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about gratitude and kindness and empathy We’re in control. There’S no fucking Instagram monster. There’S no YouTube monster, We’re the monster. [ Crowd! Clapping ], I don’t know who got the mic: Okay, Yeah You’ll, be when producing Content, language matters: Yes, We are in a country that Doesn’T speak English? Yes, So said that, How can we break the language Barrier here to go global Well, you’re not going to Get Portuguese to go global? Yes, I mean, what’s the better best way to go in an English And Portuguese bilingual Do it both in I mean, but just in one one profile, but two profiles or You can do two profiles, I’m a big fan of sometimes doing article.

That is both in Portuguese And the English – I also want to remind you that this is a humongous, fucking country and winning here is just fine too. You know I mean if you want to win globally and you’re, so desperate To then you’re more than welcome to make English Yeah Because current Smathers I mean Rio, it’s like one and dollars like four. So it’s a big opportunity. I understand that I think it all comes back to The gentleman from Argentina You have to decide what’s right for you, If you want global, if you’re chasing more dollars, Than make English content? Okay, So, But it’s very important I say this: I think this is Every country outside of China and the? U S has an inferior complex because there’s more money elsewhere.

This is a huge fucking country, Okay And like huge So folks in Brazil. If that’s what you want to, but if you know I can promise you just focusing in Brazil what just Portuguese content Can make you plenty of money and happiness if you personally want to be on a bigger stage? English is something you have to consider. Okay. Thank you. You’Re welcome! Hey Gary good evening, Good evening. First of all, you Have to keep you at CBI, Lulu, You have to be Well you in love, you and Russia Yeah, So I’ll.

Just give You a very quick contest because I want to respect everyone’s time When I was four years old. My mom stabbed me for Ethan All the cucumbers we had for dad Stubbed you Yes, My hand. Yes, when I was six, she smashed My face against the wall until it bled from my nose and teeth Just was just because I was late one hour. Then she threw me at the graveyard that when it was late at night And honestly, all my life was Fear and sadness and sorrow, And so when I was 20 years old I said either I keep myself awake go So I decided I go and I left my mom and a few years later I Became an entrepreneur and I’m not the most successful one, but I’ve done pretty good for myself Quite happy Good And [ Crowd, clapping ].

Ah, but No that’s a story! That resonates with me It’s something I share very infrequently, but my grandmother who Passed away this year, and maybe that’s why I’m a Little bit more comfortable sharing it. She was very difficult to my father too in the Soviet Russia. So I have a lot of empathy for that story And I also know – and I know you know this cause – I see you made some Doll with my face on it So obviously you’re following.

I believe that adversity In youth is a very powerful advantage if you’re able to get out of it If you’re lucky enough to Be born with natural mindset or consume something that Helps you get out of it? Well, a hundred percent So I came along the way, but I did become an Entrepreneur out of vengeance and wanted to get even with My mom, my dad my everyone and I knew how unhealthy It was and then came along this American Russian Who speaks way too much and curses even more and Somehow I don’t know how I really don’t know, but But you changed me today.

I work for happiness. I work for hail, peanut, other people rather than closing the most deals, And I came here to Practice what you preach, which is jab, jab, jab right hook, So let’s start with the jabs. Please Then we go to the right hook. Please Thank you. First of all, Gary Vaynerchuk I’d like you to meet Gary Vaynerchuk. Also I’d like you to Meet Sasha Vaynerchuk, Very nice And to make it devastating Tamara, Vaynerchuk Very nice.

My two favorite people on earth. Yes, Now I know you’re a private man, so I’ll make it in Russia. If you want I’ll, do it for free I’ll, do [ Foreign language ], 100 % Splunk? Now we just heavily a You. Send me an email, To Gary at VaynerMedia and we’ll get hooked up, Thank you You’re welcome. So Thank you. Now. Here’S my right code And regardless of what [ Crowd, clapping ], say yes or no. What I said earlier I’ll a believer.

I desperately need 20 Minutes FaceTime with you whenever you want Wherever you want, please, Okay, Two things: One jab jab jab right hook When you give give give and then ask It’s unbelievably important. To me that people understand that when you give with Something behind it: it’s not giving So the execution of That for the 20 minutes is not how I see the world. However, I just want To make sure everybody understands that, However, even with that said, and usually it’s not my favorite move When somebody gives me Something I didn’t ask for and then need something from me, which is the most valuable thing from me.

My actual time, even Though I don’t love that I just love you Thank you, I love. I will give you the 20 minutes. Thank you. Your welcome Email me we’ll get connected. I will I’m going to get one more in and then I’m going to call up the CEO and we’re going to have this far check Last one, please You got it. I love you. I love you back. Okay, Thank you. We own a canabiss growing Side, flora, 70 years We are rather than contact jab Jab jab jab all the time and the now the market is Opening for the big companies coming from United States, As you know, we can’t have Sponsored ads on Facebook, I’m aware or Instagram, So I’m asking you any advice Influencers because that’s The most scalable thing So giving the dollars to the influencer they post and sometimes it stays up.

Sometimes it doesn’t. But my number one thing I do a lot in the US with cannabis. With my Greenstreet company, You have to start a podcast. You have to control the media podcast and even text messaging, starting to ask people for Their cell phone numbers and putting out content directly to them And we work very hard and chat bot, also 100 %, but even the chat bot. If it’s in within the If it’s in WhatsApp you’re going to be vulnerable, You want to go direct phone numbers and you want to start a podcast company because there’s no platform in the middle, that’s in control of you Great! Thank you.

Your Welcome All right! Let’S do the fireside chat. Thank you. Everyone Gary! This is very good shit. So do a couple more, It’s all about them, so I Can grab my intervention Be right here, Who’s got the mics, No problem, I just don’t know where the mikes are Who’s got the mics Go ahead. Yep she’s got it Yup, that’s fine And then let’s and then let’s go into The way fucking back, I want to get some of those those peeps [, Tiago, ], Hello, Gary.

Yeah I came from there because no one is looking For the people on the sides and not just eh, I Think is really important to talk about a business that Is really neat in Brazil, That is it’s schools, teaching, of course – and I am the first people, but the first person here That actually didn’t know you before.

Are this summit No problem? I wasn’t people didn’t Yeah. I wasn’t a big fan of you. I am now You’re a really smart person. I just wanted your Opinion on how you think that teaching is going to Grow in these platforms like YouTube internet in general, Do you think that actually We’Re going to have a boom, let’s say teaching is going To explode on the internet, Do you think that’s a Market in the future, I do and I think it’s already happened.

I think you and I have grown Up in the last hundred years of modern teaching, where education is being done through, Schools and leveling up until final university and Then go into the world. I believe that education, Is already happening If you just think about what that doctor was just saying literally the question before he readed my content. In education form, it educated him to the possibilities and then he went and executed it.

I think to your point and you can you can add, we can talk back and forth. I think people that are Educators in the current system are going to have to be very thoughtful that are they passionate About being a teacher in the current system, or they passionate about educating in the macro Yeah, that’s actually the Point I was trying to get yeah. I know there’s a lot of people already teaching other People on the internet, My the thing I was thinking is that my idea of future, though the thing I want to do in my future – is teaching people online Specific languages, You could do that now, But yeah I know, But do you my question is: do you think teaching is going to go? Entirely to the internet, do you think I think society is Going to go predominantly to the internet will still live in real life, but there’s a very significant Chance in 30, 40 50 years that all of us are Living in virtual reality and are spending a lot Of time in that world, No different than the 11 hours we spend inside our VAR phone now, Yes, I do Like ready player one The movie Yeah I listened to.

I think people in this room, including me, are very Naive of where technology is going already, We can see blockchain VR AR there’s so many more inventions. That will be invented before we die Technology. Always moves Technology always moves. So yes, I think so. Thank you. Okay, Who’s got the next question. I need the mic. Wait. We got you: Okay, [ Foreign language, ] Gary. How are you [ Foreign language, ] You’re, going to die? Yeah, I mean brother, My biggest hope for everybody.

Is to not have regret, besides health health, which you need. I want people to have happiness and as much happiness. And as little regret – And you know, you’re such a young man – We have so much time We have so much time. I just wished that people Had a better relationship with time, There’s so much more time, and so I’m glad that that hit You, because it’s very real Everything I do everything is knowing that it’s almost Impossible to be a human being 400 trillion to one That is the math, The odds of being a the Odds of being somebody in here right now is 400 trillion to one It’s impossible to be a human being, and yet everybody here is one, and I don’t want you to waste it.

Why [ Foreign language ]? Thank you. Thank you. God lets us go Yep. We can do the last one Yeah Hi All right Earlier. You gave us advice. For producing content – and I as them to they for Hobart to Prado for Microsoft, What re twirls do you have Every day that changes your life and I want what What brother, What What rituals re re is. Yes, that do do every day And it changes your life Every day, Yeah every day.

At some point I imagine my children or my parents or my siblings, somebody in My family dying every day, And that makes me happy, And I know that that might be confusing, but every day I practice reminding myself what is actually important to me And if today I went to Brazil And gave a great speech and many people found out about me and when I got back to My phone in an hour, one of my clients, gave us $ 5 Million more for Vayner media And one of my articles, Went viral on Instagram and got 5 million views And maybe even this Sunday, the jets win a fucking football game Right.

If all that happened, If all that happened, if God forbid one of the 20 People that I love the most got sick or died. I would not give a shit My only ritual every day. Is to make pretend somebody that I loved died, which makes the rest of my day very easy Amazing. Thank you. You’Re welcome, [ Crowd, clapping ] Do them in a very tough spot here. I’M cutting this great conversation, short Yeah, I’m also between you and your flight and between them and party with free beer.

So Free beer is fun. So unfortunately, you guys this conference is coming to an end. Did you like it? [ Crowd, cheering ]. So my only mission here is try To wrap up this conversation with some of the important Things that we discussed here, I think we all agreed that We had an amazing three days, the last three days. Those are my questions to you, I’m a big fan since the wine library days. I actually met you.

I’D, probably don’t remember that Mad at you at web 2.0 expo 2009. So that was a long time ago. In Portugal Yeah in San Francisco, So my first question is You want to buy the jets. Yes Most people here, Probably don’t know why, So what I want to know is: what’s the power of stating Out publicly a goal like that, And please explain why You went about it yet When I was five years. Old six years old, I moved to New Jersey.

I wasn’t speaking English. I had a very tough time in When I first came to America. I went outside and some boys were throwing in American football. I went over started playing and they said to me: what team do you like? I didn’t know They said you’re in New York. Jets fan, I okay, That was 1982 Every single Sunday, Since that day I have readed Every single play of the jets During that summer or a year later, all my friends had jets.

Jerseys We were poor, So asked my mom to buy a Jet shirt and she said no, but at night she knitted And made me a jet sweater That is my prize possession. I have it in a safety deposit box. When I buy the football team, I’m going to hang it As soon as you walk in, For me, the jets means America means happiness means the beginning of my life. When I started when I was in fifth grade, they asked us who do you Want to be when you grow up And everybody wrote: police man, astronaut all sorts of different stuff, and I wrote the owner of the New York jets and that was the first Time I said it publicly and I’ve said it basically To everybody, I’ve met since and then obviously over the Last 10 years as more people got to know me, it’s a part of my story.

It’S very important. It’S actually very similar To the nice gentleman from Argentina, It you have to be self aware. For me, entrepreneurship and building businesses has Always been my happiness Lemonade when I was five to Being right here with you today at 43, so for me wanting To buy the New York jets is very important because it’s a goal that allows me to play for a very long time and that Is what brings me happiness the process? As a matter of fact, I’ve already made a article Maybe five or six years ago that I have saved and it’s the article that I’m Going to share with the world The day I buy the New York jets and in the article I tell everybody, That today is a sad day, Not a happy day, because something that I’ve been chasing for a very long time has Come to a conclusion, And then I make a joke: About winning a Superbowl and something like that, But nonetheless it’s important for me not Because you shoot for the moon and you land in the mountains, It’s important to me because It represents a process.

I want everybody here to love. What they do in the process, not necessarily the stuff That comes along money, fame vacations clothes. I want them to love the Game, not the stuff For me having a big Goal lets me play longer, Got it Got it? Thank you. Thank you Last couple of questions So another thing that we Talked a lot about year. Is this tragal, especially For entrepreneurs, Now we have to deal with that.

You always talk about hustling. What keeps you up at night today Like cause you’re a successful guy still, but you still have some right Yeah, But but that’s What I signed up for, Like I, don’t understand When People are trying to aspire to be unbelievably happy. And unbelievably wealthy, it should be hard Like every day is hard. I landed here from these Three flights to get here and immediately I get wifi and there’s four texts from clients, Problem problem problem problem: It should be hard.

My struggles today are 100 % outside the framework of my business. For me, that’s my safe place and I accept that. There’S Going to be tough things As a matter of fact, this is funny. I didn’t do it on this trip, but sometimes when I fly and I have to fill out custom forms when it says occupation, I write for fire fighter. That’S how I feel an entrepreneur is you’re, always ready for another fire, whether it’s two o’clock in the morning or nine 30.

You have to be ready and I don’t struggle with that, because I’ve been Practicing it my whole life, which is why I fear, when people Try to become entrepreneurs, because it’s cool Now I worried about that, because it’s very hard and if you’re not used to losing, I lose every day Every single day I lose And unless you’re good at that you will not like entrepreneurship, And how do you know what’s Interesting There’s something interesting there.

You know where my mind Just when I apologize Well, my mind just went is it’s funny where I just Went as we’ve just finished that you were about to clap, I said I said to myself. I said it’s hard to lose. When you already lost I’m already pop committed to the game, I know what I signed up for. You can’t lose when you Already think you’re losing Everybody thinks entrepreneurship, I’m going to start the next fucking Uber and be a billionaire, No you’re, not And the second, you understand, That is when it gets good, And now we run multiple companies.

Most of them are very successful How to prioritize her life, how to balance stuff and only don’t allow Them the word balance, but juggling And being okay. The reason most people aren’t doing. What I do is I’m okay juggling and letting something Fall because I don’t If I was juggling right now, eggs and you were all impressed. And I dropped an egg and you all said I wouldn’t care It’s part of the game.

So for me it’s easy to do. The wine and the business and the sneakers and All the stuff I’m doing, because if something fails, People will tweet about it. People will write about It, but I won’t hear it What’s so important and the one Thing I wish for all of you and it was earlier to The parenting question, as you can imagine, especially if you don’t know me, and you just discovered me and you see how people Are talking about me, you could imagine how Easy it is to get high when people say that You’Re changing their life and all this unbelievable But it’s very funny for me.

I don’t when I hear the beautiful things that are said to me. I think about Sasha, I think about my parents. I think man they did a good job, I’m the product of them, I’m the product of Immigrants and struggling and good parents So When I hear nice things, I don’t get high, But That’S a very good thing because when people say The reverse, in my comments or negative things, I don’t get low When you become detached detached from either positive Or negative comments, you win The reason, so many of you struggle is you, like the compliments When people say you’re, pretty You, like the compliments When people say you’re smart, you like the compliments When you’re dressed good, he came up with a good idea.

You scored a goal. You made a couple of you like that So when, but now you get Used to the feedback, So then, when somebody says your shit, you believe that too, I don’t believe either I hear nothing. It’S super quiet appear. It’S super fucking quiet up here.
