How Local SEO and Average Time On Page Work Together

I didn’t start YouTube. Sorry, okay! Here we go so that’s kind of what we’re going to discuss today. It’s the amount of time spent on the first page, which is also known as time on page yep. Can you hear me yep? I can hear you okay, okay, I mean you can’t see my yeah start my article so so yeah. What crystal saying is is that is that bottom line is that you’ve got to be it? You know you can do all the local SEO that you want and everything, but if you get people, don’t see you, okay, if people aren’t staying on your site, then you know one of the one of the biggest by the way, this is kind of one of The secrets out there that people don’t know is that you know one of the biggest data sources that Google uses to determine if they’re going to rank you in the search engine is just scroll, Scroll, scroll rate, in other words, how much of your page that people Scroll down and how much time do they spend on the page itself so time on page bounce rate? All of these, the all of these types of parameters, Google, is paying attention to to determine.

Make no mistake about it, not only for you to show up locally for local keywords, but also organically for your website. So if you are creating an experience on your website where people are just bouncing, meaning they go to your website and then the immediately immediately bounce off, so Google Analytics actually keeps track of your bounce rate and you love bounce rates all over the board. You know from you know all kinds of percentages bottom line.

Is you want that bounce rate to be as low as possible so that what what again? What that means is a bounce is when somebody goes your website. They stick there for a little bit and then they just immediately go to somewhere else. That’s the bounce okay, so you want to make sure that people are going to your website. Conversely, and they’re staying on your website, they’re going into internal links, they’re clicking on the tabs they’re staying on the site, they’re not bouncing once they go to your site.

In other words, they see what’s going on and they you you want them to stay there. They see the website, they see that but and you want to engage them. This is the reason why I recommend using chat on your website, because what is chatting cat lives on your website. It keeps that person on the website and a lot of times, it’ll actually get them to potentially even scroll. This is the reason why we say you know above the fold, which is anything that is, that is visible when you first go to a website.

You want all your call-to-action to be above the fold so that and then have a little bit that one of the secrets is: it have a little bit like half and half there like, so you can only see half of what of what is actually showing up Based on the predominant number of you know of browsers and there and and the screen size they have so, in other words, one of the secrets that a lot of really good marketers do is they’ll put a article like right there, okay, that is literally only showing Halfway when like only showing half the article so that they so that you’re, when somebody goes to your website, when they actually see that you know what’s above the full so that they have to scroll down, and what does that do it makes it so that you Know so that when people go there, they actually have to scroll down, and that says to google that so that person is interested right, they are scrolling.

So what we want to do is you want to not only make it to the people scroll. You want to make it so that people also just stay there and they read a article where they chat, and this is the reason why I wanted to talk about this topic today. Is that chat is so powerful when it’s on your site because think about it? You can have a chat conversation with somebody. It can be like 10, 15, 20 minutes long when you won your average time on page is like a minute and then all of a sudden you’re having people stay on your website because maybe 10 15 percent of them are chatting and they’re spending.

15. 20 minutes. In a chat that immediately increase in doubles, triples quadruples, 15-fold, 20 fold increase in time on site or time on page and that’s what crystal is clicking on right. There is the chat, so that’s the chat functionality right there now crystal can actually start a chat there. I will get a notification on my phone and I can immediately start a chat with her at any time and not only her.

Not only can I do that, but anybody on my team, because we have our entire team, we built that we built a a chat culture. Okay, so just like we talked about a review culture, we built a chat culture and I was looking for the name yesterday. Crystal and just there you go, this came to me so yeah, so we’re building it we’re building a chat culture and we’re really proud of that, because by doing that, we’ve doubled, we can double the number of lead, double them and double the number of those leads.

Actually, converting into customers, okay and that’s the bottom line. So if this is the real value of having these type of chat, conversations is is that it does actually bleed over into helping your local search engine optimization so that you show up on the maps as a local business. More prominently higher up and in for more keywords: okay, that’s the bottom line, so, for example, for a property manager.

We work a lot with, so that would mean that they would show up for the keyword, property management can Diego or a property management Miami. That’s their money keyword, that’s like literally 70 % of the traffic that those guys get is from that particular keyword on Google being in Yahoo, so it makes them now. The other thing that it does is because here’s the reason why they’re, actually getting a benefit or a boost for their local of their local search engine optimization, is make no mistake about it.

It’s because they’re getting a boost for their organic searching their website SEO another. What I mean by that is is that this is, and it all has to do with their on-page SEO, because it’s when people are on the page we talked about this a couple days ago. They’re at this is benefiting not just what the keywords, but with the time on site and this, the the the scrolling etc and and the bounce rate when, when the balance rate goes down, the time on site, good time on site goes up, then their website is Going to rank higher in the search result, you notice.

I didn’t talk about Google, my business, Google. My business is a separate entity that Google gives you at owns so that Google, my business page for your business, it owns you, so that’s basically something that Google gives you to show up on their Maps system. Now there is a very tight correlation between your business showing up higher organically for your website and that website being connected, because you literally when you set up your Google, my business page, you connect your Google matters page to a website URL and when Google sees that It’s ranking your website higher.

It ties the authority of that website. Okay, yep see, there’s the length of the website. That’s attached to their Google, my business listing there that crystal circling and make no mistake about it. When your website is ranking higher, then your Google, my business page, will rank higher as well. That is what Google looks at when it’s determining if it’s going to rank your business higher or not, let’s scroll down cliff, so I want to see if there’s any.

I want to see, if there’s finally starting to show off our stars for our for those first parties and use that okay they’re not not yet, hopefully soon, though so anyway, I just you know, I wanted you guys to see this. I want you to see the you know that again just to wrap it up, and just to summarize, you know when you actually pay attention to the details of creating an experience for somebody when they go to your website, so they can start a chat conversation with You or anybody on your team it’s available at that time by clicking, so you know yeah Chris yeah right there, so there’s a little chat button in the bottom right hand corner of our of our website.

Somebody can start a chat right there and they’re going to spend more time so on the page, so their time on page is going to go out. Google Analytics record that they also see that the balance rates going to be lower because, most likely, you know, once you engage in a conversation with me, or anybody on my team you’re, going to explore further just by mere fact that you’re actually gotten hold of somebody.

So your curiosities and then raised so the bounce rates going to go low, it’s going to be lower and most likely they’re going to scroll a little bit more as well. So all those things contribute to your website ranking higher in the search results, not your Google! My business page, but again your website and when your website is connected to your Google, my business page, Google, my business will rank your Google, my business page, Google will rank your Google under the page on the maps higher and why is that important? It’s important because that means that group like, for example, crystal if you go to, if you go to google.

Com, that a you and let’s do that, search that we did yesterday last night. I think it’s really telling okay property management, Rockingham, there’s a property manager in Australia that we really worked hard to get them to review. They’ve done a great job, getting reviews and yeah. I think it’s Rockingham w-a because you got to make sure yes, yes, W ask there, you go be specific there, you go okay, so if you scroll down there, okay, you can see the ads at the top of the screen right there.

Those two there’s two of them: okay and then, oh, so the ads, not there right now, but you can see there. There’s professionals, Rockingham 113 reviews, 4.8, star rating way way more than century 21 or whom to home to home and there’s a look at look at. Are we surprised that their Google, my business page, is showing up where it is when you can look down right below home to home, and you can see professionals Rockingham website? That’s exactly what I was talking about showing up organically.

We call that the organic section thing – it’s not the maps above this section right here at the maps, what we’re just looking at that’s the Maps – okay and this down below here – that’s their website. This is like, if you most likely 60 to 700 times when your website is ranking in the first. You know one two or three positions there you’re going to rank on the maps as well. Look at their central 21.

Are you surprised? Are we surprised at chapter 21, even though they’ve got a bad reputation or not as good a reputation they’re showing up in the maps as well, because look they’re right below professionals, rockingham and and so there’s about five major factors that determine whether or not you’re going To show up on the maps, which is really the money game, you know you want to show up there like I’ve talked about before, but this is again the reason why you want to get that time on site high.

You want to get the bounce rate low. You want to get the scroll rate, you want to get the scroll rate high and get people scrolling all over your website, because Google sees all of that in analytics and, as a result, that’s what’s giving them the rankings for the website right there and that correlates Into the improves on my business page ranking higher as well and that’s it and if you have any questions, what do you think crystal crystal? I don’t know if this is, can you hear me okay? So if you have any questions Mary yeah, can you hear me yeah? So if you have any questions, go to em me forward.

Slash, accelerate marketing. Again, that’s MDOT me forward slash, accelerate marketing and will answer any questions there that you have and we do have some really cool. You know ten mistakes you want to make you want to avoid, so you can type in either the keyword, mistake or mistakes in order to get that download. If you want to take the reputation quiz, you can type in reputation quiz and you can take the quiz there in order to see you know how you stack up in terms of your reputation for your business and yeah, it’s pretty much it any other.

Anything else crystal nope, nothing else, I think all those links in the comments if you are joining us, live through Facebook. All those links are in the comments as well. Cool awesome thanks crystal alright, well create a great rest of your day. Everyone

5 Email Marketing Examples

I’ve already made a article, a couple articles about what email marketing is and I’ll put those at the end as a reference. If you’d like to look at them, if you’re not sure – and I’ve also have a free course that you can hit below on how to set up your email marketing automated system now, what I’m going to do right now is review. What email marketing is very quickly before I give you five examples.

Basically, email marketing is a system, that’s automated. This is where passive income can happen and that’s what most people are looking for when they’re looking for online business, not everybody is looking for that, but this part of your business would definitely be passive income once you set it up, it keeps working when you’re doing Something else and that for me, that’s what I’m looking for now.

What is email marketing email marketing is, when you use your platform, your social media platform that you’ve decided to build up, whether it be YouTube or Instagram LinkedIn. Instead, Instagram didn’t I Facebook, okay, Twitter, all those different social media platforms. What you’re doing is you’re offering people on those platforms, something for free or maybe you’re running ads, and you said: hey I’ve got this small cookie book that I made of recipes that will help you lose weight.

If you follow these recipes for one week or thirty days, whatever it is, you could lose ten pounds and most people are going to say: hey she’s got all the recipes written out, I’m going to go ahead and and give her my email address. For that I mean that’s a no-brainer, it’s free, and what do I get out of it? I could lose ten pounds and I’m looking to lose 10 pounds see how that works. It has to be something that’s going to solve a problem for people and that they want to give you that email address.

Now. What do you do with the email address? Big whoop right, I got an email address. I didn’t sell anything. What does it do? You then set up an automated sequence of emails where you introduce yourself, you start warming up to people, get them to know like and trust you and then you can link some little sales things in there. So you might, you know, get that. Give them that ebook with the recipes and then you can keep talking about you know, introduce yourself and then start talking about other recipes that could be helpful or different nutritional foods that you want them to keep eating, and then you might say hey.

This is a shape that I use. That has been very helpful. I get all my nutrition and boom there you go. You try to sell that shake as you’re talking about the same content. So that’s how email marketing works. Let’s turn that off. Okay – sorry about that. Anyway, and then you have it all automated, I have a free course below where I show you how to set that up, but sometimes you want to do what they call a campaign you might might want to come in and use different styles and things of emails.

That’s what I’m going to show you today different things that you can do you don’t want to just keep blah blah blah doing the same thing you want to start putting in some different styles of emails. Now, why do we use email marketing? It’s proven that email marketing helps to improve, increase, subscriber engagement. Now, why do you want that engagement again, people buy from you after they get to know you like you and trust you and they might have to have seven or eight what I call touches or contacts from you before they’ll, even start to feel that way.

Think of yourself, I know a lot of people compared email marketing to dating when you date someone you don’t right away on that. First date fall madly in love. Maybe some people do they think they do, but in general most people need seven or eight different contacts. You need to go out with them and get to know them, and it takes a few days it takes. It may be a month. It takes some people longer than that, but the more you are in contact with someone, the more you either like them or you don’t right.

It’s a friendship works. The same way hey I like that person. I want to spend more time with them and that’s how email marketing is so. It really is a wonderful way to build relationships and get people to know you like you and trust you and then they’ll buy from you now here’s example number one. I call it after the free thing, so let’s say you gave them something for free. Maybe you gave them some workout exercises to do totally free.

Maybe you made a PDF with 30 different yoga exercises or weightlifting whatever you’re into okay, but now you’re going to say to them. Hmm see that maybe you’re starting to hurt – maybe you weren’t in in shape, so doesn’t feel too good. Does it? Are you experiencing sore muscles because you’ve been out of shape and yeah? Of course they probably are, and so then you can offer them a foam roller which adds to helping them still exercise, but the foam roller will have different, stretching exercises and things they can do and they can buy that foam roller from you.

That’s just an example. Now this person probably happens to sell all kinds of exercise equipment, but maybe you’re in the exercise or healthcare industry and you’re, not really selling products. You can always go to Amazon sign up as an Amazon associate and offer that foam roller to kind of complement. The business that you have, if that makes sense, and then you can make seven to nine percent off of each sale that you make so pretty cool.

So after you give somebody that free thing, what can you follow up with with something that you could maybe sell them that still helps solve a problem? Now this next one is from Rent the Runway and I couldn’t copy it because it’s kind of scrolling. So if you want to read it as I talk, but basically in this one they’re telling people don’t go, buy a dress and that’s I catching to me. What do you mean? Don’t go, buy a dress, I need a wedding dress or I need a dress to go to that wedding.

You tell me not to buy one well, this company, rents, dresses and what they’re saying is they use some of the catchy phrases? As do you want to be like the 27 dresses girl in that movie, you could rent a dress for the wedding for the rehearsal for the you know, for the bridal shower and you could rent three dresses cheaper than you could buy one. So that’s what they’re trying to sell is renting, but it’s kind of like reverse psychology, that headline because most people think oh, I have to buy and we’re in that mentality we’re not used to renting things like dresses.

So I thought this one was pretty catchy and I wanted you to see how they even had it scrolling, but that’s something you could do with your own business. Maybe say you know you don’t need to do such-and-such. You could do this and said um so kind of use some reverse psychology, especially in the healthcare industry. You know everybody thinks that they have to do heavy, lift with late weightlifting or cardiovascular exercise when you can still lose weight and still get in shape without jumping around.

If you eat right and move see what I’m saying you don’t have to jump around and do all those hard exercises, which is really why a lot of people won’t do it, they don’t want to jump around and have to do that kind of exercise. So I call that one reverse psychology tell them they don’t have to do something and then tell them what they could do instead. Now number three is share your pain. I thought this one was pretty good.

This person wrote this out again, you can stop the article and read it, I’m not going to read it to you, but share your pain on your journey on on on why you are where you’re at instead of trying to sell an item say this is where I was, and these were all the things that I did wrong to get to where I’m at today and you’re, sharing all the things you did wrong and somebody reading it might say. Well, what did you do right and that’s kind of where the catchy tagline is at the bottom after they hear about everything you did wrong, maybe in the next email the third email could be.

You know this is what I did to solve the problem. So the person that wrote this probably has a good 3 to 5 email sequences that they can write to finally get you where what is it that you did that worked because this person keeps sharing. I think it’s Paul Paul’s story. I know Daniel okay, so Daniel is it’s making them want more right at the end and he’s going to keep pulling you and hooking you along until you finally found out what did Paul Daniel do to finally solve his problem.

So that’s a kind of a short sequence of emails within your bigger sequence, or you could run it that way as a campaign now number four is using an email that requires a double opt-in. Here’s just an example from Chipotle. Of course yours would be different, but a lot of people there’s a lot of mixed messages on this I hear some people say: don’t do double opt-in because then you’re going to lose a huge amount of people.

Other people say they prefer double opt because then you really know that people want to be in your email list. So that’s just a decision you have to make, but the advantages of double opt-in are one. You know people really want to be there. It really cuts down on spam because those people opt it in twice to say. Yes, I want these emails and then three there are some countries in some regions of the world that require double opt-in, so you’re kind of losing those people.

If you don’t do it, but again it’s up to you if you want to do a double opt-in or a regular opt-in. It’s up to you. I would think that, as your list gets really huge, you could start doing double opt-in, because then you can afford to be picky about who comes on your list, especially if you’re new getting fifty people is exciting right and when you’re new or a 500 or when You hit that thousand, but when you start hitting 1520 thousand, I would say then double opt-ins, probably not a big deal so anyway, that’s another the fourth email and now share the fifth.

Now I found this one it again: it’s somebody that sells things, but maybe your email list isn’t about selling a product, maybe you’re into affiliate marketing or something like that, but you can still use this for any market. Show appreciation tell your customers that I really appreciate you, you know being on my newsletter and it’s been a year since I started this, and I really appreciate it know that now the person here said we’re going to donate three million pairs of of a product.

Okay, to show our appreciation and you’re like wow – that’s a lot, but how could you use it even if you’re a small company, you could have a an organization that you send ten percent of your profits to, and you could say for this particular email, everybody that Clicks through because you can see that click-through rate I’m going to donate $ 1 to this organization. That’s nonprofit, because I really appreciate you hanging in there with me and – and you know, becoming my friend blah blah blah and everybody that clicks through on this email.

I’ll donate an extra dollar, so that’s just a way of showing appreciation and then showing them that you’re the type of person that likes to give as well. So, hopefully, those five different emails will start making. You think outside the box and not just sending sequences and and kind of being the same, all the time change it up a little bit, do something different and make it a little bit more exciting.

Before you go make sure you subscribe to my blog, I would really appreciate it and don’t forget to hit the free course link below. Definitely if you haven’t started email marketing, I have strongly recommended the course is: free, there’s, no gimmick or anything and it’ll help. You get set up as well, and then you can start collecting emails and start sending out those awesome emails and getting an audience that will get to know you, like you, trust you and then buy from you.

Bro…Here’s How to Become a Freelance Writer and Get That Cash Money

Whenever you want in today’s article, we are going to be talking about the six steps you need to follow to become a successful freelance writer. So if you’re curious about starting your career as a freelance writer online – and you want to start making money from those writing skills, this is the article for you.

So the first step that you need to master to become a successful freelance writer has to do with your niche. So if you’ve been around on this blog for a while, you will know that I hop on about niching the down whether you want to be a freelance writer or anything else in business having a niche is super important. So what the is a niche a niche is usually the problem that you solve or a segment of the market that you help.

So when it comes to freelance writing, it will look a bit like this. Maybe you are a travel writer or you are a b2b tech writer or you help real estate companies with their content marketing. That is one way you can niche down by the industry that you are writing content for. Another way that you can do. It is the type of writing that you do, for example, maybe you are a case study, writer or a white papers writer or you help people with their sales pages.

These are different ways that you can take the whole market of freedom’s writing and really funnel it down to a small group of people that you help with your content. Marketing services step number two is that you need to create a professional website. This is another thing that I keep on going on about on this blog, because it is important people you need a website. I know a lot of people say that you don’t really need a website as a freelance writer, but you really do it will honestly change the game for you, because it makes you look more professional.

It also helps you position yourself as an expert for your niche, and it just gives you a place to host your services and your portfolio in one place. So what you want to do on your freelance writing website is that you want to make sure that, on your home page above the fold, which is that portion of the page that people see immediately as soon as the page loads, you want to have your niche Statement there so, for example, if you are a b2b tech writer, you want to have something along the lines of hi.

My name is lauren. I am a b2b tech writer or I help you to be tech companies with their content marketing. Something like that. That is going to tell whoever lands on your website that they are in the right place, and another important thing that you want to make sure is on your website. Is your testimonials your social proof, the results that other people have had from working with you now? If you are a completely new freelance writer and you haven’t had any clients before and you have none of this super valuable social proof, there are two things that you can do number one is that you can create niche specific samples and host them on your portfolio Site so, for example, if you wanted to become a cbd content writer like me, you would go and write an article about cbd and then post it on your website and then share that link with potential clients when you are pitching your services.

Number two is that you can work for free, so what you can do is that you can approach your ideal clients and offer to work for free for a short amount of time so long enough for you to actually get a decent testimonial from them. But you also don’t want to be working for free for too long. So maybe it is that you’re only going to write like I don’t know two blog posts for free for them and then you can transition them onto a paid model if they are happy with your work.

So another thing that I talk about a lot on this blog is pitching. It is a very, very important skill as a freelancer to know how to pitch your services, because it is something that you are going to be doing constantly, whether you are replying to job ads job ads, whether you are replying to job board ads or you are Cold emailing potential clients, or maybe you are trying to pitch yourself for a guest post on a site like problogger.

You really need to know how to sell yourself and your expertise, and if you want to learn more about the three important elements that you should have in every single pitch, make sure that you read this article right over here. I break down the three things that I include in every single pitch that have helped me land clients that pay as much as 400 dollars per blog post. So it is super important that you have the skill in your toolkit so that you can close those leads and start making money as a freelance writer and then tip number five that you want to make sure you are doing as a new freelance writer is that You have optimized your links in profile, so what you want to do is you want to go onto your linkedin profile, and you want to make sure that you have your freelancing writing niche in your headline, and you can also include a few additional keywords.

Like a content, marketer or content, strategist or blogger, anything like that, because linkedin is a super searchable platform like people are typing, in those keywords all the times into the search bar. So you want to make sure that your profile comes up. All those keywords that are related to your freelancing business next, you want to add more keywords that are related to what you do in your about section.

So as a freelance writer, you might have things like blogging or byline blogging or ghostwriting. Anything like that. You also want to make sure that you’ve reiterated your niche in that about section. And, lastly, you want to include your best, testimonials and results in that about section so that you really drive home. That point that you are an expert in your freelance writing niche and then a few other things that you want to make sure that you are doing on linkedin as a freelance writer is that you are connecting with marketing managers, because those are usually the people that Are going to be hiring freelance writers, so you want to make sure that you are connecting with those people and make sure that they are in your niche.

You want to be super relevant so that you stand out to them and really start nurturing that relationship with them and then, lastly, you can also use links in publisher to your advantage. So, for example, if you were a cbd writer, you could potentially publish a linkedin post like three mistakes. Cbd companies are making with their content marketing, and that is a way for you to then attract leads to your linkedin profile, and they would see automatically that your headline says that you specialize in content marketing for the cbd industry, they’re going to click on your website And then again, they’re going to see that headline.

That says, I am a cbd writer, so that is what’s going to establish you as an expert and it’s going to make it much more easier for you to get that lead and to get hired at the end of the day. And if you want to learn more about freelancing, remote work, location, independence and all that good stuff, make sure that you turn on those bell notifications and subscribe, because that is what this blog is all about.

And in the meantime, if you want to learn how to land your first client as a freelancer and also how to improve your productivity as a freelancer, make sure that you check out these two articles right over here, anyways guys. Thank you so much for reading this article. I hope that you found it super useful and I will check in the next one cheers you

How To Find Instagram Content Ideas That WORK | Restaurant & Small Business Marketing 2020

I still remember: we Would spend like two or three hours trying to figure out what we should be posting figuring Out about the caption to write and figuring out whether the pictures that we take are Polished enough and whether people actually like them, Sometimes we post content and it is engaging Super well people like it a lot Other times. We take pictures and we think It’s going to be a hit, but it’s a dud.

We don’t even know what works and what doesn’t Work, which is the reason why I’m shooting this article Last week, I shot a article about how do you Create 30 days of content for your Instagram feed all in one day And after that article went out so many of You guys have been emailing us and asking us “. How do you actually plan for content?” And that’s what this article is all about? So let’s dive right into this okay Number one thing when it comes to content: Creation is to figure out what people are looking to see And what I mean by that is: go into your current Feed right now and see what types of pictures people are actually engaging to Not just random troll comments: okay, We’re talking about comments that are people Actually enjoy your product, People are like “, Oh my god.

This is amazing. Oh, this is really cool. How do you do that??”? When people ask you questions, you know: they’re Engaging When they give you the likes, that means they Like it, okay Check out the types of content that has the Most engagement that has the most likes You’re going to be able to find a pattern. From there onwards, Sometimes you’d be posting behind the scenes. Pictures sometimes you’d have long form, messages and content, or it could be articles.

It could Be pictures It doesn’t matter what it is Find that common thread of what people are Actually, looking for in your specific content and that’s how you’re going to be able to Do it Go on your competitor’s feed and check out Basically, all their posts and see which one has the most engagement, which one has People talking about And then we can categorize, that type of post Whether it be a long form post, whether it be a short form, whether it’s a quote whether It’s a behind the scenes, whether it’s a how-to article Figure out specifically what your demographic Are looking for Now that you know the types of content that Engages the most that gets the most likes, that’s the cue of the types of content that You need to start creating more of Whether it be a long form post or whether It be a behind the scenes.

This is your customers telling you what they want So when, in the future, it should influence The type of content that you’re creating That’s how you find out the types of content, The second way of planning your content is This crazy tool called AnswerThePublic And what this is does is basically, you put In there, a keyword and once you put in your keyword, it automatically generates the way That people search using this keyword Anywhere from “.

How do you make ice cream?” To “ What types of ice cream is the best “ or “, Which type of ice cream is the fattest?” And from all these questions, these are all Ideas on the types of content you can create, because these are the types of content that People are actually searching for online And this tool allows you to never run out. Of ideas, because it has hundreds of questions in there just for one keyword, So imagine if you’re running a restaurant You have tons of ingredients in there.

Then now you have tons of content that you Can actually shoot for your demographic? This is a super powerful tool, You’re not going to run out of topics to talk. About because, after using this tool, you can put in any keywords and you’re going To generate tons and tons of keyword, ideas of how people are searching for this specific Term So next time, if you’re thinking about creating Content, this is a really good tool that allows you to come up with content ideas Now the third way to content plan for your Instagram is to look at all the events, I’m talking about all the events from National Hot Dog Day to National Ice Cream Day to National Strawberry Day.

These are all crazy ideas that you can actually Implement and create content for for your Instagram feed and for your food and beverage. Business Be creative with this whole aspect. This is what makes you become relevant. This is what gets people talking about you And that’s the whole point of us running. Instagram Is to be able to stay in the loop, be in front of customers and be top of mind. That’s how you’re going to get them through The doors all the time And, ultimately that’s why you’re doing this So make sure that if you’re doing your content, Planning this is a super crazy tool that we always use is to be able to check the Types of events that are happening on a daily basis and we’ve planned this a whole year, In advance So go on, Google check out the types of events That are happening and then, from there onwards, find the type of events that actually you Can have different spins on So, for example, if there’s a National Ice Cream Day for us, we make a nice National Ice Cream flavored right.

If it’s National Strawberry Day, then we make A strawberry ice cream So on and so forth right So then also there are the big holidays that Are happening as well Mother’s Day, Halloween Christmas, Those are all opportunity for you to be able To create content for Instagram and to stay relevant Now that we’ve talked about the three types Of content that you can create, whether it be your own engaging content and your competitors, Engaging content to what the public is actually searching for to the types of events that Are happening within the area now we’re going to dive into the type and the format of content.

You want to be able to create for your Instagram feed. There are basically three types of content: Format, article story and pictures Now of a article article is super important. And it is the future because of the fact that everything is fighting for our attention. Simply having a picture is just not good enough. Video is the way to go, which is the reason Why so many people are creating articles out there nowadays because it captures your attention? Because this is the way to be able to come out from the noise.

So if you have an opportunity, definitely Go hard and go double down on creating articles for your content, because, if pictures says A thousand words, then article is times a hundred of that okay, Some possible article ideas could be behind The scenes You can be taking articles of your chef, cooking Or it could be taking pictures and articles of your customers enjoying your products. Or taking a article of you creating a product or taking a article of you or your team, going Out there and shopping basically telling a story.

The whole point of doing article is to make It engaging and make it fun So make sure that if you have an opportunity, Shoot more articles for your brand. The second format of content is pictures. I’r not going to dive too deeply into this, Be creative, with your pictures Make sure that it’s actually fun and it tells A story And picture is only one thing: focus on the Caption Tell a story within the caption.

A long form caption is what really connects With the people and that’s how you’re going to be able to get more engagement, Tell a story, teach something be: educational, At the same time, The third format of Instagram content is IG. Story, This is something that is so underrated at This point: This is something that a lot of people don’t Utilize because they think it’s something that is so unpolished and which is why they Don’t post so much on IG Stories, If you think about pictures and articles as The finished movie product, then IG Stories is the bloopers.

It’s the stuff that engages with people It’s the stuff that actually truly connects. With people, because it shows the rawness, the realness And people love that. So if you have an opportunity, shoot some Behind the scenes, articles on your IG Stories Show people how you make the products Show. People where you shop, for your ingredients, Show people how people are engaging with and Trying your products and loving it Show them what you’re going through.

That’s where you’re going to truly connect! With your customers is by going on IG Stories, The whole point of you doing: Instagram content And planning all these at the end of the day, is to connect with your customers, And why would you want to connect with them It’s to make sure that you make them feel A certain way to have that trust that credibility for them to come in again and again, That’s the whole point of you shooting and Planning Instagram content is to connect with your customers to develop the raving Fan base Today we just shared with you: how do you Plan your content and the types and the formats of content that you can distribute out there.

I really hope you find value in this. If you do give us a thumbs-up, Leave us some comments below and tell us how You connect with your customers, Otherwise I’ll see you in the next article

Chrome OS: Ready for Web Development (Chrome Dev Summit 2018)

Everyone I am Dan Tuscola school, I’m a developer advocate at Google and tonight we’d like to talk to you about why Chrome OS is an awesome choice as a web developer platform, and there are too many reasons for why you should develop on Chrome OS. The first is that Chrome OS is an unprecedented convergence of technology stacks.

It brings together web applications because it’s no less. That has a browser as its UI, but you can also run Android apps and with full Google Play support. You can install and reprocess that you can test your web apps on and starting with chrome 69. You can install Linux and you can run your familiar. Development will workflow there, and this is a sneak preview of. What’s coming into the talk, you can see here a terminal, an IDE, a couple browsers and, of course pwe.

So the second reason why you should develop on Chrome OS on target Chrome OS is that it powers a very wide variety of devices. You might have seen. Chrome, most laptops or Chromebooks from a variety of manufacturers, and also you might have seen some convertibles again from various manufacturers and also all in ones like the LG chrome base and small form-factor pcs. This is the chrome box, which was diluted by Samsung 2012 and then HP, asus and other manufacturers followed suit, and this is the mini form factor PC.

It weighs three ounces, you plug it into the HDMI port of a display, and it turns that one into a computer. You can attach a mouse or a keyboard via USB or bluetooth, and then there are mega displays. This is the chrome box, commercial, it powers, digital signage or qsr displays, and this summer we saw the first tablet powered by Chrome OS. This is the Acer chrome top ten and, of course, Google has our own language of devices.

This is the pixel book, the flagship device which is at 75 % off for you guys, yeah and our latest, offering the pixel slate, which was announced last month. So in one slide, what are you from os because of a large and increasing market share? You probably heard that we have a very extensive presence in the edu space. Condos are very popular there. Then, if you optimize for promise you’ll actually target a variety of these convertible form factors, devices that have or have not, that a keyboard or a mouse or a stylus or internal touchscreen.

So this could also future proof you from devices that haven’t been invented. Yet, though, after I put this slide together, Samsung actually released a foldable screen phone that becomes a tablet, so the future is here already so again in one slide, the reason is diversity. You can develop apps on Linux and test them on a variety of Android. Linux. Browsers so Chrome OS brings together your own development workflow.

The one you’re familiar with your own development tools, a variety of form factors from mobile to tablet, to convert the boat, to desktop and browsers on Android on Linux, and there are quite a few of them edge and Samsung. The internet work on the pixel slate. The others should be able to be installed on Google picture as well, and this is edge and you see browser and Firefox running going on the same Chrome, OS machine.

Then you can install so desktop browser, so you can test in full, desktop Firefox. You can install the Linux version of it. This is Firefox, and this is Epiphany okay, gnome web, and you can also install docker, which I’ve heard many of you are interested during the forum. This is I’m official support for it, but there is a thread on reddit if you search for on docker now working in the crostinis subreddit you’ll find this thread, try out your own risk, but it does work.

So how does it work? How does Chrome OS managed to stick to his principles, which are speed, simplicity and security? How can it run all these different web, apps and Android us from play, and Linux apps like GIMP, while staying fast, simple and secure? This boils down to the containers architecture, which shall let Steve tell you more about next n. So when we were bringing Linux apps to Chrome OS, it was really important that we maintain all of the things that make Chrome, OS, Chrome OS.

So simplicity was first, it shouldn’t feel like you’re running a separate OS, but instead have the Linux terminal and GUI apps seamlessly blend in with chrome and Android apps, and we’ve managed to do this while keeping things fast. So Android and Linux support. Don’t do any emulation by using lightweight containers and hardware virtualization support your code will run natively and, of course, security is always on the mind for Chrome OS, so crostini uses both virtualization and containers to provide security and depth so to expend a bit on security.

We’re starting from a secure foundation and we’re working our way up with features from there so right now, Linux is pretty isolated from the rest of Chrome OS, but we’re working on the ability to share files and folders with it and soon we’ll be adding support for Google Drive as well so you’ll be able to keep all of your dot files projects and other important work safe in the cloud. So let’s take a look under the hood real, quick.

The first time you launch a Linux app after logging in we’ll start up a lightweight, VM and container, so this VM is actually providing the outer security boundary and gives you a real Linux kernel and it’s actually a minim minimal version of Chrome OS. That was designed specifically to run containers, and the container inside is where you do all of your work. This container is very tightly integrated with the rest of Chrome OS, so things like launch icons and graphical apps work, just like any other Chrome, OS or Android app, and the most important thing, of course, is that you get a terminal.

So how does it actually feel? What’s it like, an answer should be like most of their Linux systems, so crostinis based right now on Debian stable, because a lot of developers are familiar with apt package management and Debian based systems and for now we’re starting out targeting web developers because Chrome OS is A web-based OS and we think it’s appropriate – that you should be able to develop web apps on a web-based OS.

So to do this, we provide some nice integration features like right now, we’ll do port forwarding. It doesn’t seem like you’re running a container. You get local hosts to connect to and that’s treated as a secure origin, just like it should be. But if you do want to treat your container like a separate system, you can and we provide a penguin Linux test. Dns alias and we do want to support more developer workflows than just the web, so we will be adding USB GPU audio support file systems in userspace and better file sharing and upcoming releases, and now dan will talk a bit more about using Chromebooks for web development And show us what crostini looks like in action.

Thank You Steen. So we know how it works. We know why it’s awesome. Let’s see how to actually use it for developing web apps. The goal is to let developers do everything they need locally and the crostini support is still in development, but most things work as expected. You can run editors, IDs databases like Mongo or my sequel, local servers and pretty much anything can install with apt to set up crostini search for Linux in settings and then you’ll see this dialog.

Once you tap install in about a minute or two depending on your network, speed you’ll have Linux installed on your Chromebook, and this is a terminal. So we have a terminal whoo-hoo, let’s build the desktop web app for it. So books write a bit about how these apps are usually built. A lot of development of desktop device is done with electron or node WebKit, but the problem with that is electron means chromium plus nodes.

So you ship a rendering stack along with your app, and that might be useful if you have needs for low-level access, but consider Carlo, which is a Google project that is essentially a headful node app framework and provides applications with chrome, rendering capabilities. So with Karl, you don’t have to ship chromium or any rendering engine with your app. It uses a locally detected instance of Chrome and it connects to a process pipe and then expose the high-level API for you to render in chrome from your node script.

But if you don’t need all this low level or as features, you can do something even simpler, which is to build a progressive by that, and this is what Spotify has done. You can see here that I’m going to open open the Spotify I’ll, come in a tab and click that install a button, and once I accept the install prompt, the tab becomes pwe without URL bar and it has its own buttons like close, and you can find It in the shelf, you can launch it from there and once you launch it, there is no more install app button because it’s an installed progressive web app and it’s also accessible from the shelf.

So this system level integration features are provided by Chrome and they are available on chrome, OS things from 67, which is Asian by now and Dorgan on some windows, starting with Chrome, 70, the current version stable and on Mac with chrome 72 or, if you wan na, Give it a sneak peek check the Enable desktop it always flag. This is thanks to Service Worker support, which has implemented by all major browsers, and they are also working on a stance features such as payment request.

Firefox is working on that age. Has both notifications and out of home screen now and Safari is also working on authentication api’s, so, ok, we’ve talked a lot, let’s try and do a demo and see if anything blows up, so I’ve set up Christine already, because that will take two minutes which I Don’t wan na waste we’re going to install node and you have already vs code NPM and then we’ll check out Skoosh.

You might have seen it in one of the earlier talks. It’s an imagery compression app will open that in vs code to check out the code run. The webserver and the most interesting part is we’re going to open Skoosh from an android browser on the very same device and if things work also going to do some remote debugging. So these are the instructions to install node. Now what would a random? Because it takes a bit and I’ve switched to the demo station, I’m going to run NPM install NPM build, does take a while, then npm start to start the web server for the Skoosh app, and you see that it tells you it runs at port 8080 heat Bound to all local addresses, so let’s run chromium for linux.

This runs in the reno’s container and once squash has started, which seems to be the case. Let’s go to a local host 8080 and there Skoosh an. Why is it failed, but it certainly works. You can open images or not. This is a live demo after all, the point here is that you have access to localhost from the Dinos container and now, let’s try running chrome, dev from play and then choosing chrome dev here to be able to distinguish.

The icons looks like we need to update it. Hopefully the update won’t break anything, so I’m going to launch it before it gets a chance to update now. Localhost’ here will not work and that’s a non-issue steve is working on it. We need to get even mean to put you on the spot if we need to get the IP address of the Android container, which is this one. There is this command IP address show. So I’m going to just copy that and paste it in chrome dev, which I thought I launched somewhere a quick.

Has it updated? Okay? Well, I hope you didn’t break anything. So this is who’s running in chrome and all let’s try something even more dangerous. Let’s try to remote the bucket with chromium on the same machine. I know it’s called remote debugging, but it’s on the same machine, because these are different containers. So to do that, we need to put a device in developer mode and then enable it to be debugging.

Here which I’ve done and then we need to run this command, that fixed IP is actually documented on our Android setup page, it’s the IP of the our container and we set up an ADB bridge to it. So now, if things are on my side, you’ll be able to go to chrome, inspect and see a number of remote targets here, and we actually see two of them. So it’s open the squash one, I’m not click inspect, and this appears to work surprisingly well for a demo, so I’m going to resize the window and try something really spectacular, I’m going to scroll.

So this is live, not an animated gifs. This is actually remote debugging and, whatever I’m doing here, whether this app works or not, you can actually remote debug it with chromium on Linux. Debugging an Android browser running your progressive web app doesn’t make sense. This is what I wanted to show and let’s get back to the slides. So these are the instructions for installing note, there’s nothing special here.

You follow what no publishes on their github. Then you check out who’s using it again. Your visual development, workflow and Oh something else, maybe Steve, has to show this. We can run vs code to check out the code so until we switch to the demo disk Rancher shows what we actually are going to do, but great. Why not do it live now? So still is going to double tap that after he copies it to the Linux container and in the Linux container.

If you double tap a Dib file, you are prompted to install it as a Linux. App so Chrome OS supports that out of the box and once the installation completes you should be able to see visual code in the launcher and even a cancellation, prompt will say, fine, visual coding, the launcher, and this is not network dependent. So we should be as fast as it was when we rehearsed, though 58 percent is not terribly fast.

Okay, 91 cool so show us some clothes. If I only wait one second for two seconds there it is had to search – and here we go yes, code yeah. I have a manifest: that’s why it’s a progress. App has a start: URL, ok! So let’s switch back to the slides for some best practices for on. Oh, No, let’s actually look at this once more. It’s really cool right. How you can draw those in sync yeah! I had to brag about that, so the way to set this up is not reveal, which is why I posted a medium post this morning with complete instructions.

It’s about 17 steps. You need to follow so check out bit: / b, dot li /, CR, OS remote debug, or take a picture of this line. Okay, I see the phones down next, how to actually optimize PW is for Chrome OS, which is not really a topic. It’s more of an on topic. You shouldn’t detect that running on Chrome OS. You should use lighthouse as used for any in PW. If you only have five minutes to spend on optimizing, your app check out lighthouse the auditing tool that will give you a checklist of what to do and make sure that your app installs.

This is one bit that might be different on Chrome OS. I, like on all the versions of Chrome on mobile, your users will not be prompted automatically at the bottom to install the app you need to catch it before install prompt and then save that front and call the prompt method. And this is the code to do that. So you add an event listener for before install front, then you prevent default for all the browser’s.

Save the prompt in this deferred variable and then show your install button. So here we just set a display to block and then, in the click listener for that install button, you hide it call the prompt method from that save variable, and then you check the user choice, property and particularly the outcome field, to see if the user has Accepted your installation, okay, so, as I said earlier, the answer to this question is no.

You have your app installed on Chrome OS, but you should not do browser sniff it, but doing instead feature detection and the reason is there is a wide variety of input devices and form factors that Chrome OS can run on. So you might have a touch screen hole. You might not some lower end devices, don’t have a touch screen, there might be a trackpad or you might be the Acer tab. 10 tablet that I mentioned earlier.

There might be a keyboard, so if your app can use keyboard shortcuts, it’s go to a support for them. There might be a mouse. So I support for that. If it makes sense, then also be a stylus useful for drawing apps also make sure to build, responsive and take advantage of all the screen real estate. This is an example of an app that supports a large or wide display rather and displays a number of days in the weather forecast, but also, if it’s resized to a phone size screen, it shows less information and you can even support a rolled up state.

If the user just wants to glance at the weather of continuously, but for a media player out to be more useful example, you can have previous and next controls, and this is an example from Starbucks. They found that building responsive pays off, because users would actually order. On the desktop and use their mobile device to pick up their order so build responsive. It also pays off to optimize your forms because nobody likes to fill in the forms, and we have some guidance that G dot cos.

/ amazing web forms and some amazing URL and if you want to handle, touch in an optimized fashion, check out G Delco slash web touch. There are also pointer events, and these are a unifying model for also two pointer. Input touch trackpad, Mouse stylus, and you have a lot of events that are supported in Chrome, Firefox, Opera, ie edge and Samsung such as pointer move. You simply add a listener for it or sorry.

You have a pointer, enter pointer down, pointer up, cancel out, leave and so on. More at G dot go slash, pointer events, and this is an example of code that distinguishes between the pointing device you can check if there is mouse or touch or pen or something that has not yet been supported by the browser. Okay. So, what’s going to happen in the future, we are working on improving a desktop PW support.

One improvement is keyboard shortcuts. Another one is badging for the lunch icon, so you don’t have notified the user for everything we can display a number of notifications just like for Android iOS, apps and then also link capturing, which should make Twitter very happy. They have a great little way, but when you click on a link is not captured yet so in the future. We hope to enable this such that, when you click on a link that I wrapped in handle your app will actually open and handle that link, and for that you need to define the scope parameter in the manifest and the scope parameter is used to determine when Your user has left your web app and needs to be bounced in a tab.

We are also working on low latency canvas contexts which are introduced in chrome 71 beta, and these are very useful for how interactive apps they use OpenGL ES for rendering for a string and how it works is that your pixels get written to the front buffer directly. So this bypasses several steps of the rendering process and chrome writes there in that piece of memory that is used by the Linux, rendering subsystem and is scanned out the screen.

So this low latency context run the risk of tearing, but if you don’t interact with the Dom, such as in a game or rather have interactive app, it’s useful to use it. This is an example of how to set up a low, latency canvas context. You pass the latency parameter through and also on. It needs to be opaque, so you pass alpha and false, and this is the last slide. I had no idea what to put on it, but I figured that I should add that Chromebooks are these Convergys machines that run Linux, Android and Google Play natively without emulation, so they run very fast.

You should totally take advantage of the 75 % off discount and please do explore Chromebooks and give us feedback. We love feedback. We have the chromium, OS death group in the Google Group and also the reddit, the subreddit crostini. If you find issues, please check it. They’re very reported at CR Balcom, otherwise file them using the shift out. I and add the crostini tag and we are done and Steve and thank you

Learning Chess from data

My name is Tom Ron and I will present the Rosati who couldn’t attend. You can see both our slides, github nib m-learning chess. So what are you going to talk about today? Is learning chess from data, but what everyone wants to make computer we’re a bit modest and we just want to make the computer play chess, okay, um! So, what’s on our mind, we want to know if a computer can learn chess only by looking at data of chess games.

So there are many questions that can be asked in this domain. We’re going to focus today on two of those questions. One is giving a board state: can we make okay, we do a specific move. Is it a legal move and that one is game over giving a board state? Is it a checkmate? Is the game? Has the game ended? Of course, if those are possible, then the sky is the limit, and what else can we imply learn about other systems, maybe some physics and other things? I want to mention this that this is a work on progress, we’re still working on it.

We have additional and further ideas, but I came here today to show you what we have done so far. Ok, so, let’s start and what will know about chess – and there is first done at this – there is some constant tension between feature that we allow ourselves to know when doing this learning process and features or other things that we wanted to know. But first we know that there are two sides to parties who play the game.

We know that could and with either one winner or a time, no two winners or other situation. We know that the board is eight by eight and doesn’t change through the game. We know that there are different pieces that have different unknown properties such as: how can our the species move? Can they eat other pieces? What happened to them when they get eaten, maybe promotion, four pounds and so on? Okay, okay, so the data set we worked on is given in algebraic chess notation.

If you have some time in the end, I’ll show you how it looks like, but the idea is that every square on the board is represented by a letter, A two to H and the number one to write and the move is basically done from one square To another, usually only the two square is written, and while there is only one piece that can do the truth or if it’s not clear than the both the two and the from square is written, we ignored the metadata on this set, such as Flair, ranking, location And so on, we had just a bit more than one thousand one hundred thousand games with full or partial description.

There were many games that didn’t end. I do it checkmate or tie just ended in the middle and had a bit more than eight million most with distributes tribution between the different pieces. We use a pie tomorrow package, which is called chest. It allows us to parse chess McGavock notation and provided the board status provided methods like is this as chances making so on, and some pilot mainly site by some mud float for plotting and the 9pi.

Basically, we thought we would head. We would have not enough or big enough data for doing MapReduce and all we build it as your first we’re going to to do MapReduce, but for this time it was enough to do it on a single machine, maybe some in the future. So this nurse think we wanted to do the first question we addressed before the game on. Can we do a simple move, so the most naive think would be okay.

Have we seen that smooth before? By saying this move, I mean the board status and the move? I want to do if so, yes, good, do it no try again, maybe there’s not enough data, so I haven’t seen it move or maybe it’s not legal and therefore I haven’t seen it. It’s not efficient on neither running time or memory so well and, of course, there’s no learning down here. So, let’s move to our second try you and so for each move for each move.

We made. We checked the difference from the to describe farm square and to square, and we drove the diff histogram. For example, if the pound move two steps on the first time a pumpkin move, then the X difference is zero and the y lift is two and we did some adjustments of the black and white. So it will be relative it, and now you can see those histogram. So this is a least 1/4 pound a pound can move either one step forward, two step forth or one step forward into the side and two to each side.

This is how the Bishop move. This is how the workman only stretch. This is how an I night room it’s a kind of nice, the king, and you can see that the king can move one step to each side and cast a link to one of the sides. Okay, so the price of these approaches, it’s very good for common moves, and it’s getting better as this data size files, of course, and it’s fairly time and memory efficient, we can code all this really really simply and, however, it doesn’t take into account the word status.

So if there are pieces in the way, I cannot answer this question. I can answer it strongly, so so it’s a necessary condition if we have enough data, but it’s not sufficient so did next. Take we did on this idea. Was that for each move we have not only looked at the move, dick, but also into the surrounding of each piece. So you can see here and we have three possible states. One is occupied, one is 3 and Y is out of the board.

If we’re standing off the edge of the board, then some of the squares ma can be out of the board, and this is some of the results. We got aggregating those histograms and doing some working on it. So, for example, for the Quinn, if the Quinn wanted to move to at least 2 steps, then the square above it and on the right must be free, and that makes sense knowing the chess rules. Another thing about the Quinn: if you want to move seven steps downward and right, then this dis means that she’s moving cross of the board.

Therefore she must stand in the court in the corner and this square must be free. Okay, cool um. So is the the King: if there is custom link and the King move, then the one near it should be free must be free also for the pound. If the pound go goes forward, and, oh surprisingly, nothing for the night and no chess rules, we know that the the knight can jump over pieces. However, not having this rule doesn’t tell us anything, because maybe there is not enough data.

Maybe there is nothing relevant, but that’s nice for us, knowing the rules of the system that the knight can skip over pieces. Okay. So the premise of this approach is also. We keep it efficient, not too much. Doesn’t that win it and we store and of course run time we take the surrounding into account, so we can argue whether the surrounding is one reduce to reduce more, but also doing this says tell us that we have the trade-off.

I talked before that we have some external knowledge about the game and about the environment. We are in so again this trade-off and the main comp about this or these strategies is that to assume that moves are independent of one another and while it we can usually say that true, it’s not true for all. The moves, for example, cast a link and a kink and not to castling if there was just before or if the King moved before, and there are several more more moves that are limited by this limitation.

So, okay, this is how we’re going to discuss about moves today and we still have an idea to improve it. But but we know that this gives you roughly good results, and it’s of course, let’s generalize, which I mentioned before. Okay, so now for learning checkmate – and here we ask giving state of a board, is it checkmate or not, we’re not asking whether if it is a checkmate who, on the black or the white, we might be asking that in the future? Okay, yeah, we used several datasets 10k a 30k, a 800 K, the training set.

We use 40 % of its, we used for training 60 for testing, and we had 50/50 of true and full samples. Of course, the real distribution. The probability is much less because you only have one checkmate at most at each game, maybe less and we use SVM classifier with linear kernel. We won’t probably won’t use it in the future, although we had some nice results. Just with this naive, classifier now crash course about classification for people who don’t come from this domain, really crash course um.

I know I speak too fast and I apologize. We have a lot to talk about tonight. Ok, so we start with data and then we extract features and we’ll talk about the features we we use in a minute, but features can be current. Reachable and features categories met, many others may be. A combination may be. The features depend on one another. There are models for each problem and then there is a classification.

Some of the data is used for training some for testing some. You predict we use side pipe for this mission and actually we’re able cipher is very, very general, and we were able to use very a code that we used before for a total of different tests, just applying our feature extraction and pushing it to the classifier. We had and actually another good feature of cyber. It is very easy to tackle between different classifiers.

They all have trying and estimate and fit functions so just play with it. Okay, so here again we have a few versions. So the first version we had was a simple count, features what what that means. First, we counted the number the total number of faces that were on the board. Then we counted how many white pieces, how many black pieces for each type of piece we counted. How many piston world, for example, door, five white count and three black pants, so we had total of eight pounds.

We also counted the number of different white points, five and three black pounds. So this process to something that well, is a bit better than a monkey with accuracy of 70 we had for the cases forward checkmate. This is a checkmate and we were four not checkmate were able to say in 59 percent of time that it’s not a checkmate, but then we had some misclassifications so well. We want to be much better than a monkey, so we moved to the next thing and the next thing was using the previous features and you think that about the first-degree neighbors in this case we didn’t looked out of the board and we excluded it.

But we’ll do that on the next versions, and so we looked on that of empty. Is it of the same side of the piece we are looking on or from other piece around it and we aggregated the data for all the different pieces on the board from each party, and we also built some boolean features based on this data, for example, is Is there more pieces around me from my side or from the other side? Is it mostly empty and such features, and we did had improvement? We can say see that the checkmate rises to now able to classify well on 87 %.

Remember we had 59 % previously, so we’re doing much better now, and this third version was doing taking the same as before, but extending the radius to two and three. This make much more features, however. 300 features is not that much and maybe in the next versions. We can add more features without it’s not as much and but it’s I said four, it makes it less journal. I generalize, as we assume something bigger about the game and the board, and indeed we we had improvement.

Curacy is eighty nine point. Five and both has its improved. We can ask further questions if increasing the radius to four five six eight would improve it. I personally don’t like this approach and don’t want to do it because we assume more about the board and about the game and about the system as a whole, and I would rather think about or suggest different features so having this benchmark. What what we think about or what we suggest want to do in the future? Okay, so test different classifiers, you used SP and maybe changing the kernel, maybe think of nearest neighbor, may be using some deep learning as a password.

I don’t know this is a small change, but I think that it would have interesting effect and the result integrate out of the board. The edges of the board into the different counts, we’re doing. Okay asking who is the winner, which I mentioned earlier? Is it the black the white? We can either approach it as multi classification problem, where the white one, whether the black one or it’s not a checkmate or we can use it just as black or white like if we have checkmate.

Is it black or white who won okay, asking whether a specific situation is just not necessary, checkmate, complex, smooth detection, okay, history, starting writing the history, or maybe we can think of other features you have to represent us what we have done, maybe, for example, counting how Many time this specific piece moved or something else, of course, as I said in summation, we want to reduce the data.

We have external data, we have on the game: okay, more efficient parsing. We use the chess package which it, which is nice, but on some cases we did something like bootstrapping. We took the data we put it into. The chest will produce what we wanted. Maybe we cannot not do this lap and just do it ourself scaling. So for classifying the 800,000 samples, it was really hard for our computers and sci-fi.

It eventually happened, but it was hard. So maybe we need to think about distributing it about using something likes like shaman that was mentioned here earlier. I think there are many tools that we can think of and surprising. We have time for question and thank you for listening so far, but and of course the question is whether we can like to honor system. Can you learn physics just by looking at me? For example, Chesson Giants generally are stateless.

We just get a position and make estimations neither except for the first part of the game, which is very easy, any stage just the Inquisition and not that yeah, but knowing what they can do doing strategy we’re focused on you. You

5 Tips To Improve Your Digital Marketing Offers

So when you’re sending traffic to your website or sending traffic from Google or Facebook or anywhere, you want people to opt into the offer that you’re driving you’re driving them to you, and so this is going to be very helpful for creating offers that work better and Hopefully reduce the cost per lead that you’re getting so, let’s get into this article, hey there buddy, my name is brandon brashears.

I make daily marketing articles here. So if you’re looking to grow your business with digital marketing, I talk about everything from pay-per-click ads to email, marketing to conversion rate optimization to SEO to basically anything related to digital marketing. So if you’re looking to grow your brand with business or your business or brand with digital marketing be sure to subscribe here, alright, let’s get into this article.

So when you have traffic that you’re sending to a web page, you should have an end offer in mind. If you don’t have an offer in mind, then you’re, probably wasting a bunch of money, so number one make sure that you have an offer. But once you have an offer, let’s do a few steps that are going to help you to get the most out of it and convert as much as possible. So the first thing that you need to do is the offer needs to be consistent.

So if you say, for example, on your ad hate, we have a free book, come and get the free book and then all of a sudden they get there and then it’s 1995 and shipping and handling it’s not really a free book so make sure that the Offer is consistent from the ad to the landing page throughout the whole process: you’re, not adding things to it or adding a lot of terms and conditions to it. People are going to see through that and they’re going to say this is not true.

It is a scam and they will not buy from you, so it has to be number one very consistent in the entire way through again, if you’re trying to drive traffic to a web page. What’s the point of driving people under false premise, so you’re, basically lying to them, make sure that you’re not lying to them. Make sure that you’re, honest and open about what the offer is, because you’re trying to attract those people, you don’t need to sell something that you’re not selling.

The second thing is, it needs to be really clear: what are they getting? What is the benefit for them? If you haven’t done so already be sure to read this article, I talked about three questions that you need to ask yourself before you run any ads. It helps you get really clear about who you’re serving how you’re helping them and the best way to deliver that. So be very clear in what you’re giving them.

The third thing that you need to do is make sure that it’s congruent it has to be congruent to your brand. It needs to make sense why you’re offering this it has to be relevant to your core offers and really be congruent with your brand. So if you have, for example, a luxury hotel, if you’re offering a free timeshare, stay, it’s not going to be a congruent brand offer for your business right. So you’re going to want to make sure that every piece of you offer every piece of the ad.

Every element within your website is going to match your branding match your positioning and the offer that you have it’s like if you’ve ever been somewhere and you’re like hey, this isn’t adding up, and this seems kind of sketchy. That’s the same thing. If you don’t have congruent offers with your website – and it doesn’t look good so make sure everything is congruent and well branded number four: does it make sense? It has to make sense in order to deliver value to people? I can’t tell you how many times I say: okay, what are the best offers that you want to be driving people to for your business, to the small business owners and they’ll say well.

I have this package in this package and this package – and I can do this and I have this, and can we pull up the website? I have everything listed out there. That is not very simple and easy to understand. It needs to be very simple. The simple more simple, the better: we need to be able to convey what the value is really really quickly. We only have a short amount of time, typically to do that with cold traffic, so it needs to be very, very concise on what it is that you’re offering and how you deliver value to these people.

So for it to make sense, you should make it as simple as possible, and I like to make things as simple as possible in every aspect. So if you’re able to convert them natively right, so we don’t have to send them to a landing page. If we can convert them, natively, that’s even better and so simplicity inside of every aspect of the digital marketing, helps you to increase conversion and attract a lot more customers and clients.

Add a better price so make sure that it is as simple as possible and the last tip is to make sure that it’s described well, so you need to really deliver your value as far as what is the before look like and then what does the? After? Look like and if you’re able to convey what the before and after is it’s a problem that your target market is actually having. Let’s say that you were a dentist right and you were going to help people that had been afraid of the dentist.

So you can talk about all of the fears and the troubles and the worries and talk about what it’s like to be there, what they will go through and and where they will end up where they will finally be able to put this stress aside, because we’re Not scary – and you know they’re like talking about all these emotional things – that’s just an example there, but if you are able to describe the before and the after well, if you’re going to have such a better time converting these people that are visiting your website or Your web pages your landing pages because they’re going to feel and understand, what’s in it for them so many times people talked about offers in their business and they just talked about themselves.

Instead of talking about what’s important to the client, so make sure that you’re framing all of the conversations that you’re having around the customer and around the client, they need to understand. What’s in it for them, because that’s ultimately all that they care about, especially the colors of the traffic, gets right, so the less people know about you, the more important that it is that you’re telling them what’s in it for them.

If you have people that are friends and family that know like and trust you already, you don’t have to work hard to sell them. They’re interested in you. The reality is, when you have a business in your online people, don’t really care about you, I’m sorry. They don’t care about me either. It’s okay um! You just have to understand that they are all about. What’s in it for them, because they don’t owe you anything, they need to understand what is in it for them, so make it very, very clear and, and let them know exactly what’s in it for them alright, so I hope you enjoyed this article if you liked It be sure to hit that thumbs up button and if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything.
