Avoid These Behaviors Email Marketing

Today we’re going to talk about avoiding certain behaviors when you’re doing your email, marketing, now email marketing very quickly. I’ll explain that, because that’s not what this article is about, but email marketing is when you start to market people through email, and you know yourself that you might see an ad and it might say: oh just click here and we’ll give you the free checklist on How you can lose 10 pounds in 30 days and you’re like yes, I want that.

Well, when you click it, it’s going to say, wait a minute. Give me your email address. Okay, you give your email address, you get your free thing and then you’re on an email marketing list and that’s what that’s all about. So, if you have decided to do online marketing, affiliate marketing anything online, there’s all kinds of different businesses you can get into you. Definitely want to use email marketing as part of your strategy for selling to your audience, but there are some behaviors you want to avoid when you’re sending out emails and we’re going to go over six of them.

Okay, the first behavior that you want to avoid when you’re sending an email – and you can look at this yourself when you get emails – start paying attention instead of seeing them as annoying. And I don’t want all these emails and I’m going to unsubscribe, get the emails and start following people that you like with their subject lines. Look like you like how they communicate and model those behaviors.

One of the behaviors you don’t want is needy. You do not want to act like you have to have the sale that you’re needy and you want it, but some people they don’t really act like they’re needy, but they try to act like they’re, not needy. Does that make sense and they come across as pretty desperate needy, so nobody tries to be needy, nobody tries to be desperate, but sometimes by trying not to be.

You come across that way, just be natural just offer whatever it is, that you have the answer to a solution to a problem that they have. You want to give them the solution to that problem, and you don’t have to be needy if they take it great. If they don’t want it, that’s okay, because you’re in the business of helping people solve problems. Think of that so don’t come across as needy. Don’t make exaggerated claims in your emails like your, you will earn a thousand dollars a week.

You can earn a thousand dollars a week, but I doubt if anybody will earn a thousand dollars a week, just learning how to do affiliate marketing in their first week. There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that has to be done. A lot of learning of skills that have to be done first, so that’s kind of exaggerated. In my opinion, alright, the next one is coming across as being sleazy um. I should have put a picture of a used car salesman.

I think sometimes they come across as being too pushy telling you how wonderful you look in that card, it’s the most perfect car in the world and you fall for it and then you get it home and it’s a piece of crap so don’t be pushy just Because you believe in that product or you believe in something or it’s worked for you, it’s not going to be the best answer for everybody, and I say that, especially in the healthcare industry.

Why are there so many different programs? Why are some people successful and some are because different people are successful with different plans, and it doesn’t mean yours is any better any worse. You don’t have to be pushy. Maybe it was the best thing for you, but it’s not the best thing for everyone. So just share it naturally of all the nice neat things. It’s done all the testimonials and then let that person decide the next one.

You don’t want to be manipulative, and this is very important. You keep hearing how it’s good to have a sense of urgency in your subject line, and that is true, but you don’t want to be sudden and unnecessary urgency. You don’t want to be fake about it say you know you only have 24 hours when in reality they have more than that. I know I sent out an email a month ago that they did have just 24 hours to respond whatever it was that I was offering was going away.

So it was a true urgent subject line and I did have a lot of people click it, but when they opened it they saw the truth that it really was going to be gone so make sure you’re not manipulating. When you have your headline like that, make it be honest, you don’t want to come across as cheap either you you want to make sure that whatever product that you’re offering in your email or whatever you’re offering in your email is not you don’t prequalify it, as Is just being cheap if that makes sense, when you start saying you know, yours is the cheapest, then it makes people think well, it must be the cheapest.

If that makes sense you you don’t want to over price things, but you want to be careful about coming across as cheap as well, so be careful there. All right, we’ve got two more one is far-fetched. It’s like too good to be true. If you can read those two little birds, stop your article now and the one says: what is the opposite of far-fetched and the bird on the right will give you a lots of different ones.

I’r going to bend over and read it, but she says believable plausible, realistic, likely possible, credible probable, imaginable natural and reasonable. That is the opposite of farfetch’d. Farfetch’d means it’s too good to be true. Like there’s there ain’t, no free lunch, there’s no magic pills. You know make sure what you’re offering is realistic and here’s the last one. You don’t want to be shady.

You don’t want to come across as unethical or legally questionable. Okay, so make sure that you follow those six behaviors. You avoid all six of them and you shouldn’t have any problems before you go make sure you subscribe to. My blog. 3 Tools You Need For Email Marketing

Alright. Today we’re going to learn three tools that you need for email marketing. We’ve talked a lot about how emails marketing is crucial to your online business and your affiliate marketing business. You have to have an email list and what are the tools that you need to use to put that system into place and that’s what we’re going to go over today.

The first tool that you need is an autoresponder. Now I have two here that I like to use: one is called active campaign. Active campaign is really nice because it automates your campaign or your sequence, and it thinks for you. If that makes sense it’s. It has really good deliverability rates and very easy to use, and it automates, and this is what I mean by automate. So if you set up your sequence, you will set up each step like I want to send out this email.

There are certain times of the day that I wanted to go out. What happens is you’re going to have some people that will buy what you have offered them and that will swing them over here and take them out of the sequence and maybe put them in a different sequence, because now they’ve become buyers, and then you have over Here, where the system will even redeliver it may be at a different time until that person opens it.

So it’s automated, you don’t have to think you don’t have to go in. You don’t have to separate anything. So I want you to connect active campaign with the word automation, because it’s very very good at doing them now. Another one that I like to use is called action. Etics action, Attucks is actually part of the click funnels software click funnels has a software where you can create funnels home pages sales pages, landing pages, all kinds of things.

Well, within that software program they have an autoresponder called action etics. The reason I like that one is it’s a one-stop shop. Everything you need is right there in the same software. So it’s really up to you what you’re looking for, if you’re looking for both. Maybe you have two different types of lists, and maybe you want some of that automated some of it to be in a one-stop shop or if you prefer one over the other, it’s up to you, but I both links below you can look at both of them.

They both have trial periods and you can check them out and see what’s best for you, you definitely need to have an autoresponder. I do not recommend going with a free one, because they’re not going to give you many options. You’re going to build this, your email marketing system into that free account and then you’re going to find that it’s not doing what you need and then you have to take the time to move it.

So I say start with a good one in the beginning. Learn it use it, and that saves you a lot of time in the end, if you’re serious about your business, if you’re just playing around, maybe go to the free one, alright, and then this is called Glock apps, calm and what it does is you can put Your email in there and Glocks apps Glock apps calm, will test it. It will test it for deliverability if, for instance, it will say yeah if you send it out the way it is ninety seven percent of those will go in an inbox there’s some that will go to a tab, and then you want to see if it’s going To go to spam, so if you’re new, you may find that you may be using words that are spammy and that Glock apps will tell you that, like your, these are things.

This is going to be a spammy email. You might not want to use it and you can go in and tweak it and edit it. It’s also going to do a content analysis for you and tell you things like. If you do have a lot of words in there that you need to change it. Might tell you that hey yes, this looks like it’s your spammer and you don’t want to look like that or maybe you are a spammer and you don’t want to look like one, and it also will test your subject line in there.

So it’s pretty much a tester app and it’s free so definitely check that out. One more thing that I have I’m going to pull that one up live: let’s go ahead and pull it up, this one’s pretty cool, it’s called subject line comm and you can test one subject line of your email per day. Now, if you want to test more a lot of people like to batch their emails, they like to do a few at once, go to an incognito window and test it in there or use it again in there, and it won’t pick up on your computer.

So, let’s test the one that we’re using here, so I haven’t even tested it three tools: you need for email marketers. Now, if this comes up that it’s not a good one, I’m going to change it. Actually, this would be the subject line of an email, but you could still put that in there. This is a article. If I want to share this article with my as a broadcast in my email marketing, I could do that and use the same headline.

Let’s see what it works, I don’t know what ok there we go, we’re going to evaluate and see what happens. It’s a negative 9. So, even though it might be good for YouTube, it may not be the best thing. It says: there’s no capitalization detected. Ok, that can be fixed, it has more than 8. Characters does not contain a sense of urgency. You use the word. You were your that’s good and it contains a number, that’s good, so it contains an on round number like 3, 11 or 24, and that’s 8 points.

So it’s kind of cool. It’s telling me what I did well and what I didn’t do well and let’s go down a little bit more good job. Your subject line is close to meeting all industry standards, so I can go back in. I can tweak that if I’m using it in my email subject line make sure I use my capitalization see I just typed it in real, quick and make sure that I put some kind of a sense of urgency in there to make it better.

So any subject line you can go in there and test them for free. So what did we just go over? We went over one. You need an at an autoresponder to use Glock, apps, calm and three subject line calm. So, let’s talk about email, marketing, email marketing so often, and I work with lots of clients and they have a hard time figuring out exactly how to use email to sell, and it’s actually very, very simple. So, typically, when we’re starting to send out an email, we need to first have one overarching goal that we’re trying to achieve so sending out email for just for the sake of sending out.

Email is not helpful, and so there’s a few things. People ask well: how often should I be sending emails and how often should I keep in touch and all kinds of other questions like that and they get really complicated, but it’s actually pretty simple. So first I suggest, as a rule, for almost every business out there that you’re sending an email once a week. If you can now, I say if you can, because hopefully you’re creating content and doing other things like that.

But if you’re not sure what to sell then sell engagement right, we typically have three levels of funnel, so typically an email will be targeting whatever you know, stage of the funnel or the segment that you’re that you’re trying to reach, and with that you need to Have an appropriate goal so, for example, if you have somebody who signs up for your newsletter, it may not be the right time to send an offer.

That’s hey sign up for my highest level, coaching program so, depending on the relationship that you have with this segment and kind of what your end goal is you’re going to have to really figure out. What is the best objective, based on the funnel stage that we have right now, a lot of times, people don’t segment their email lists and so, as a result, they’re just sending to everybody their best customers and people that are brand-new in their funnel.

So make sure that you’re segmenting your list, because it’s very very important to be communicating properly with different groups of your list. Now, if you have analysts list, that’s just awareness, it’s good to send people to awareness content, to drive them further into your funnel and to build a better relationship with them. So, for example, with that kind of an email, you could send them. Two additional articles to Facebook pages to Instagram profiles, ask them to connect and take the further step in your relationship and it’ll help you to build and diversify your traffic as well so they’re going to be able to see offers there if it’s evaluation a lot of Times it’s good to start with a medium range or a small range product.

So if they’ve know about you, maybe they’ve been on a webinar. Now I’m sending them offers and things like that is a great way to engage them. And then, if they are current customers – and they know – you know your best kind of customers – that you have send them higher priced ticket offers and get them to buy more from you, because when you can get someone to buy more their average lifetime value goes up And if you’re able to increase the average lifetime value of client, then you can spend more to acquire customers, which is great, actually created a article if you click on this card up here, to check that out, but with the email figuring out.

What that end objective is first, is most important and there’s really only three steps after you figure it out what the objective is to get people to take action. So the first thing that you have to do is you have to get the email open. There’s really. Four types of emails that I like to send out and I use them over and over in different variations. I don’t tend to send these every single time, though, because people will start to get worn out from them, so the first type of email is a blind curiosity, and this is like the BuzzFeed clickbait article right, you’ll, never believe what we’re up to this week, or I couldn’t believe that he actually did this or you know something like that right, you’re like what could it be and it makes you want to open it and see what the rest of the story is.

People want to be included in the story and so having a headline like that is helps to get opens. The next is direct benefit. So if you want to say something like this, will clean your carpets better than anything, you’ve ever used right, we’re using a little bit of curiosity, but we’re also giving a direct benefit. People will say: hey. I have a dirty carpet. I need to clean my carpets. Awesome, I’m going to open this email, the Latin next one is urgency or scarcity.

So if you have a product that is you truly have urgency or scarcity? Maybe you have a special. You could say this offer ends tomorrow at midnight. Then people will say. Oh man, I don’t miss out and they’ll open your email and then the last one that I like to use. A lot is proof or specific results, and with that I say like you know, let’s say you have a business opportunity or something right. He made five thousand two hundred twelve dollars in six minutes.

It’s really specific and it’s results, and so people that are interested in making money would be interested in opening that email. So again getting the open of the email is the very first step. If people don’t open your email, they’re not going to be able to read what’s inside of it, and that brings us to step two so step two is to get them to read. What’s inside and then click so doing both of those things.

There’s a few things that I like to do to increase the clicks on emails number one. Is I like to use a variety of links inside of it now it’s important that you don’t put only links in there because you can get flagged for spam, but typically I’ll do a variety of both buttons and also text links. That say, you know click here. So, instead of having a button, it’ll say the actual word I like to be testing those just to see what the audience clicks more and it’s good to have both visual call-outs that are there buttons that are different from everything.

So people can see, but in general people are viewing emails on their mobile phones a lot more than they are on desktop, and so, if you create an email, it needs to be very easy to read on mobile and the button needs to be there. That’s easy to click, but again the whole purpose of the email is to sell the click to take the next action so figuring out. Just that one specific action that you’re looking for them to take and then selling that click is, is very very important and it’ll help you to get more traffic to your your web page.

Now there are some exceptions to this rule. I think that if you’re trying to get somebody to respond to you having them like right, write back and respond is actually a good tactic. A lot of times. If you have the ability to respond, dracs people so asking them to use email like a medium that they use it with their friends and family, that’s a cool thing. So if you’re not going for the click, ask for the reply, so in general you don’t need to sell everything once they’re on the page.

So the the email body that you’re writing and creating all that you’re trying to do is to sell the click to the landing page. You don’t need to do too much. You can again use the four elements that I spoke of in the email headlines on how to get people over to your your web page. So it’s the Curiosity, direct benefits, urgency or scarcity and then proof and results. So you can use all of those elements to drive people to your landing page as well, and then once they’re at the landing page, they’ve made a decision right.

So they’ve already done an open they’ve done a click and now they’re at the landing page. Let the landing page do this sell and you can use tools like articles and a lot more long-form content and there you can really do the heavy lifting of selling and have all of the elements that help to make an effective sales page or landing page and Really at that point, it’s it’s time to take. You know that that uses the additional tools that you have inside of a web page instead of trying to do everything inside of the email.

So one thing, though, is that emails that are boring never get opened and if they do get opened, they end up actually harming your brand, so make sure that you’re not selling sending boring emails, but also don’t be too high, P or clickbait T that you’re not Actually, providing what you’re talking about so it’s a very, very fine balance, I’d, say being useful, being educational being entertaining are sure ways to get your emails opened and to have people trained to use your email.

5 Email Marketing Examples

I’ve already made a article, a couple articles about what email marketing is and I’ll put those at the end as a reference. What email marketing is very quickly before I give you five examples.

Basically, email marketing is a system, that’s automated. This is where passive income can happen and that’s what most people are looking for when they’re looking for online business, not everybody is looking for that, but this part of your business would definitely be passive income once you set it up, it keeps working when you’re doing Something else and that for me, that’s what I’m looking for now.

What is email marketing email marketing is, when you use your platform, your social media platform that you’ve decided to build up, whether it be YouTube or Instagram LinkedIn. Instead, Instagram didn’t I Facebook, okay, Twitter, all those different social media platforms. What you’re doing is you’re offering people on those platforms, something for free or maybe you’re running ads, and you said: hey I’ve got this small cookie book that I made of recipes that will help you lose weight.

If you follow these recipes for one week or thirty days, whatever it is, you could lose ten pounds and most people are going to say: hey she’s got all the recipes written out, I’m going to go ahead and and give her my email address. For that I mean that’s a no-brainer, it’s free, and what do I get out of it? I could lose ten pounds and I’m looking to lose 10 pounds see how that works. It has to be something that’s going to solve a problem for people and that they want to give you that email address.

Now. What do you do with the email address? Big whoop right, I got an email address. I didn’t sell anything. What does it do? You then set up an automated sequence of emails where you introduce yourself, you start warming up to people, get them to know like and trust you and then you can link some little sales things in there. So you might, you know, get that. Give them that ebook with the recipes and then you can keep talking about you know, introduce yourself and then start talking about other recipes that could be helpful or different nutritional foods that you want them to keep eating, and then you might say hey.

This is a shape that I use. That has been very helpful. I get all my nutrition and boom there you go. You try to sell that shake as you’re talking about the same content. So that’s how email marketing works. Let’s turn that off. Okay – sorry about that. Anyway, and then you have it all automated, I have a free course below where I show you how to set that up, but sometimes you want to do what they call a campaign you might might want to come in and use different styles and things of emails.

That’s what I’m going to show you today different things that you can do you don’t want to just keep blah blah blah doing the same thing you want to start putting in some different styles of emails. Now, why do we use email marketing? It’s proven that email marketing helps to improve, increase, subscriber engagement. Now, why do you want that engagement again, people buy from you after they get to know you like you and trust you and they might have to have seven or eight what I call touches or contacts from you before they’ll, even start to feel that way.

Think of yourself, I know a lot of people compared email marketing to dating when you date someone you don’t right away on that. First date fall madly in love. Maybe some people do they think they do, but in general most people need seven or eight different contacts. You need to go out with them and get to know them, and it takes a few days it takes. It may be a month. It takes some people longer than that, but the more you are in contact with someone, the more you either like them or you don’t right.

It’s a friendship works. The same way hey I like that person. I want to spend more time with them and that’s how email marketing is so. It really is a wonderful way to build relationships and get people to know you like you and trust you and then they’ll buy from you now here’s example number one. I call it after the free thing, so let’s say you gave them something for free. Maybe you gave them some workout exercises to do totally free.

Maybe you made a PDF with 30 different yoga exercises or weightlifting whatever you’re into okay, but now you’re going to say to them. Hmm see that maybe you’re starting to hurt – maybe you weren’t in in shape, so doesn’t feel too good. Does it? Are you experiencing sore muscles because you’ve been out of shape and yeah? Of course they probably are, and so then you can offer them a foam roller which adds to helping them still exercise, but the foam roller will have different, stretching exercises and things they can do and they can buy that foam roller from you.

That’s just an example. Now this person probably happens to sell all kinds of exercise equipment, but maybe you’re in the exercise or healthcare industry and you’re, not really selling products. You can always go to Amazon sign up as an Amazon associate and offer that foam roller to kind of complement. The business that you have, if that makes sense, and then you can make seven to nine percent off of each sale that you make so pretty cool.

So after you give somebody that free thing, what can you follow up with with something that you could maybe sell them that still helps solve a problem? Now this next one is from Rent the Runway and I couldn’t copy it because it’s kind of scrolling. So if you want to read it as I talk, but basically in this one they’re telling people don’t go, buy a dress and that’s I catching to me. What do you mean? Don’t go, buy a dress, I need a wedding dress or I need a dress to go to that wedding.

You tell me not to buy one well, this company, rents, dresses and what they’re saying is they use some of the catchy phrases? As do you want to be like the 27 dresses girl in that movie, you could rent a dress for the wedding for the rehearsal for the you know, for the bridal shower and you could rent three dresses cheaper than you could buy one. So that’s what they’re trying to sell is renting, but it’s kind of like reverse psychology, that headline because most people think oh, I have to buy and we’re in that mentality we’re not used to renting things like dresses.

So I thought this one was pretty catchy and I wanted you to see how they even had it scrolling, but that’s something you could do with your own business. Maybe say you know you don’t need to do such-and-such. You could do this and said um so kind of use some reverse psychology, especially in the healthcare industry. You know everybody thinks that they have to do heavy, lift with late weightlifting or cardiovascular exercise when you can still lose weight and still get in shape without jumping around.

If you eat right and move see what I’m saying you don’t have to jump around and do all those hard exercises, which is really why a lot of people won’t do it, they don’t want to jump around and have to do that kind of exercise. So I call that one reverse psychology tell them they don’t have to do something and then tell them what they could do instead. Now number three is share your pain. I thought this one was pretty good.

This person wrote this out again, you can stop the article and read it, I’m not going to read it to you, but share your pain on your journey on on on why you are where you’re at instead of trying to sell an item say this is where I was, and these were all the things that I did wrong to get to where I’m at today and you’re, sharing all the things you did wrong and somebody reading it might say. Well, what did you do right and that’s kind of where the catchy tagline is at the bottom after they hear about everything you did wrong, maybe in the next email the third email could be.

You know this is what I did to solve the problem. So the person that wrote this probably has a good 3 to 5 email sequences that they can write to finally get you where what is it that you did that worked because this person keeps sharing. I think it’s Paul Paul’s story. I know Daniel okay, so Daniel is it’s making them want more right at the end and he’s going to keep pulling you and hooking you along until you finally found out what did Paul Daniel do to finally solve his problem.

So that’s a kind of a short sequence of emails within your bigger sequence, or you could run it that way as a campaign now number four is using an email that requires a double opt-in. Here’s just an example from Chipotle. Of course yours would be different, but a lot of people there’s a lot of mixed messages on this I hear some people say: don’t do double opt-in because then you’re going to lose a huge amount of people.

Other people say they prefer double opt because then you really know that people want to be in your email list. So that’s just a decision you have to make, but the advantages of double opt-in are one. You know people really want to be there. It really cuts down on spam because those people opt it in twice to say. Yes, I want these emails and then three there are some countries in some regions of the world that require double opt-in, so you’re kind of losing those people.

If you don’t do it, but again it’s up to you if you want to do a double opt-in or a regular opt-in. It’s up to you. I would think that, as your list gets really huge, you could start doing double opt-in, because then you can afford to be picky about who comes on your list, especially if you’re new getting fifty people is exciting right and when you’re new or a 500 or when You hit that thousand, but when you start hitting 1520 thousand, I would say then double opt-ins, probably not a big deal so anyway, that’s another the fourth email and now share the fifth.

Now I found this one it again: it’s somebody that sells things, but maybe your email list isn’t about selling a product, maybe you’re into affiliate marketing or something like that, but you can still use this for any market. Show appreciation tell your customers that I really appreciate you, you know being on my newsletter and it’s been a year since I started this, and I really appreciate it know that now the person here said we’re going to donate three million pairs of of a product.

Okay, to show our appreciation and you’re like wow – that’s a lot, but how could you use it even if you’re a small company, you could have a an organization that you send ten percent of your profits to, and you could say for this particular email, everybody that Clicks through because you can see that click-through rate I’m going to donate $ 1 to this organization. That’s nonprofit, because I really appreciate you hanging in there with me and – and you know, becoming my friend blah blah blah and everybody that clicks through on this email.

I’ll donate an extra dollar, so that’s just a way of showing appreciation and then showing them that you’re the type of person that likes to give as well. So, hopefully, those five different emails will start making. You think outside the box and not just sending sequences and and kind of being the same, all the time change it up a little bit, do something different and make it a little bit more exciting.

I haven’t talked to some of these these clients, these past clients, acquaintances, people that might have shown property to never bought anything stuff like that. That’s the name of the game. So I’m loving this moment. I am to be honest with you really excited to get back to work. I’r excited to get back into the office, I’m excited for the market to come back full force. It’s not dead, I’m still selling a few things, but I can’t wait for it to be full force. But the point is: is that as I’m calling these past clients and acquaintances they, it sounds like there’s this feeling there’s this there’s this moment in the call where we feel like we just really really know each other, and it’s because they’ve been getting this weekly email And they know what I’ve been up to.

They know how consistent I am. They know how hardworking I am all these past clients are talking to me like I’m, their long-lost child or their best friend from high school and and that Effie that I always talked about that friend or family effect that you want to give people the weekly email Is doing it for me on a large level, I’m able to scale that I’m able to scale my business like this, because I create the email I hits in and it goes out to thousands of people and I can send it out to millions of people.

If I wanted to – and it doesn’t take any more effort – so this is a scalable effort, a scalable activity, that’s so powerful and when you do it the way, I do it and you actually create it every week. Instead of trying to do a drip campaign that has generic information on it, you know what really wins – and I’ve talked about this before what really wins on social media and emails, and any kind of content that you put out is originality and your two cents.

Your opinions stories inside information, that’s what people want, not the generic market information or you know the, how to’s and all this stuff they want real, authentic original content that comes out of your brain and your mind, and – and it comes to them in the form of Digital, it shows them who you really are and who are you and you’re? Somebody who really cares about them wants the best for them.

You want to help them through whatever it is that you’re they’re going through anyway. I just wanted to share with you how much power goes behind this weekly email and that benefits you in so many different ways. It takes your past clients and keeps them connected. It takes you, know, new people and shows them how hard-working and honest you are and dependable and consistent. It does so much for you and if you, if you lose connection with someone for a decade, but they still been getting the weekly emails, they still when you talk to them.

Ten years later, it still feels like you know, you never missed a beat you. It feels like you almost talked to him last month and what I love about the email part as opposed to social media, which I feel like you need to do both. But what I really love is the fact that the organic Reach is so high with social media you’re. Looking at you know, 10 % even 1 % on some some platforms – 1 % organic reach up to 25 %, probably as high as it gets, is about 25 % organic reach.

When you look at email, you’re, probably looking at 90 % organic reach, you know you got 10 % that might go to spam folder or something like that. But you have a huge huge advantage in the organic reach Department with email. That’s why I feel like email should be the foundation of your business and then build all the social medias and all the other different things on top of your email strategy. Anyway, I’m going to get back to work.

Email Marketing Copywriting HACK FASTER! How to do Email Marketing!

Calm, and in this article I’m going to show you an email, marketing hack that will allow you to literally write emails in under one minute. Stay frickin tuned show you guys an email marketing hat that was taught to me by a seven-figure digital marketer, and this hack is specifically for a few people right, whether you’re brand new to email marking, and you don’t know how to write emails or number two.

If, let’s just say, you are short on time or you have an extremely busy day, there’s going to save you hours of time or in minutes of your time to where you can go ahead and get an email send out to your list. Because consistency is everything right, it’s called emails, whites now. What is it an email swipe? I want to go and read a quote to you guys right, Pablo Picasso steal quotes. So basically, one of the most famous quotes ever is by Pablo Picasso he’s one of the most famous authors, one of the most fav painters ever and his famous quote – is good artists.

Copy great artists, steal right now, guys take it for what it is. Some people might like, oh my god, that’s not original, and then people who value their time, effort and energy – and I know successful digital marketers to do this all the freaking time right. What they do is. I have a Rolodex of email list that I’m currently on of people in my space. Now, what I mean by that is I’m going to make money online space.

So what I do I often to the list of people who are on to make money online. This now there’s a couple of things right number one: is you want to make sure that you’re opting into people’s lists who are actually getting results within their business and number two if they are getting results within their business? That means, then, you know what they’re doing within their email marketing right. So what I’m going to do is save so much time right is create a message in my a weber.

Account know if you always have to be already pre scheduled and the way that I do my email marketing is, I had to value and then I do one pitch right now. Let’s just say, I’m pressed for time today, I’m like holy crap. I don’t have time to write a freaking email, but what I can do is go to my my gmail account and I simply have a couple of how do you say a couple of emails that have been sent to me that are starred right.

What I’m going to do is simply open one of them up right, so it says read today if you’re still unsuccessfully chasing and that’s not my style right. So I’ve already read this right. So what I’m going to do is I’m going to go to swipe the email copy now what that means I’m going to go in and simply swipe the headline and put it in my word so boom read today if you’re still unsuccessfully chasing the laptop lifestyle, so Guys remember, I did not write this email right.

So what does lots of lifestyle mean to you for me? It is when I wake up sliding semester blues go downstairs and fire up my. So I want to change this up a little bit right. So I’m going to model this to my actual life. So for me it’s when I wake up slide into my slipper slippers go downstairs and fire up my laptop Wow. Let me see so instead of the Ness Nespresso machine, I don’t know I don’t drink coffee.

Why? What’s one thing that I do in the morning Wow my right after I’ve completed my morning rituals boom and then I checked my earnings reports and nod my head as the numbers appear on my screen saying I made five hundred twenty five hundred dollars since last night, Which I do have those type of days, so I’m going to go and keep that do. I have to work for her for these twenty five. So I’m going to say instead of B’s, I’m going to say this one, a five hundred nope are the clients.

Are their clients? I need to talk to you nope, unless I want to. Is there no idea what that is, but I’ll keep it so, instead of ego or obviously you don’t want to have the wrong person, so I want to say okay Eric, but this is a dream right I mean this stuff is out of a fairy tale. Nine out of ten times or excuse me nine out of ten times it’s a fairy tale, so we’re going to actually fix the grammar fairy tale, but there’s one exception, believe it or not.

I happened to know a guy who is figured out to make completely passive income. You make seven figures. Works 10 hours per week, takes four vacations a year and four vacations here. So I’m going to actually optimize this for my affiliate marketing VSL right. So, whatever you’re promoting right 48 vacations a year and live a life of complete time and location freedom, would you liked him to rebuild a secret, so what I want to do is you guys want to make sure that you unlink hold on or actually insert hyperlink We’re going to remove link, so I definitely not want to be sending them so his offer in this free training or going to do his links for my per link remove link.

So what I like to do is I, like the bold free training, so there’s two call to actions within this email guys remember. I did not write this email, and this literally has taken me like three minutes instead of and sincerely so I have my specific call to action. Your friend and mentor Eric Ellis jr. PS. Look. I did not write this email. Here’s the email, marketing hat guys that all the six and seven-figure digital entrepreneurs do not want you to know, and they are too proud and bold to teach you this or tell you that they’re even doing this, but they’re all frickin doing it. And how do I know this because I learned this from somebody who is a seven-figure digital entrepreneur, so that being said, instead of reinventing the will right, do it works so boom? I have an email created now.

What I’m going to do is I’m somebody going to go to my links and I didn’t write this email just I just edited it now. It’s taking me a little bit longer because I’m actually explaining what’s happening, but literally. This would take me two minutes of my time, which would usually take twenty to thirty minutes of my time, and I already have an email so and then what I’m going to do with what he didn’t do is with my pitch emails, I like to always have A call to action in the beginning, so I’m just going to link laptop lifestyle to my article sales letter now guys what this is good for is, if you don’t not add right, email marketing copy, you can opt into people’s lists who are in yours space.

What you can do is you can go ahead and start leveraging their emails and commenting it to yourself or your a lifestyle, and then, as you continue to do, this you’re going to continue to read, continue continue to read the model at yourself to where this is. How I actually learn how to do email, marketing right, because I kept on reading other people’s emails, who were successful within my space, so doesn’t matter what your niche is guys right, so modeling successful people within my space and then once I got comfortable then I started.

Writing my own emails and from time to time for the most part, I usually write all my emails, but from time to time I actually when I’m freaking pressed for time, but I need to make sure I need to get my list emailed. What I do is, I simply swipe emails and, as stated before, Pablo Picasso said it best good artists copy, great artists. Still there was no shame in my damn game at the end of the day, it’s just like funnel hackers.

If you know russell brunson clickfunnels, it’s called funnel hacking. It’s called modeling. Yes, i’m modeled what he did and yeah. It’s called swiping its email market, you’re swiping people’s copy modeling it for yourself it’s going to teach you how to do email marketing and then once you learn, you can do it yourself and then, if you’re, a good email marketer most likely people are going to swipe Your fuckin content, so with that being said guys, that’s an email, marketing hack, that’s you guys can apply to your business.

They teach you guys about email marketing. She trying to write email copy and the best way is opting into the list and getting on email list of successful email, marketers or digital marketers or late marketers, and then once you get on their list from time to time, there’s going to start being some really Good emails and then what you want to do is just create a rolodex of all these freakin emails and just have them to the side and your little honeypot to where, if you ever need them, you just pull it up, really quick and instead of taking 30 Minutes to an hour like at first when I first started email marketing literally takes you 3 freakin minutes.

This might surprise you, 86 % of consumers actually want an e-mail from you once a month. That’s pretty incredible, But that’s getting ahead of ourselves.

How do we really build that contact list and that subscriber list Right contact list? So there’s a couple: Of things to point out, First of all, Yes, you Do want their permission, So a couple common ways Start with a form fill out a form. Maybe it’s on your website. I know we have that with GoDaddy. True I’ve seen a lot of those Yeah somewhere on your website like if you want to Subscribe to our newsletter or be the first to know, what’s happening, You can sign up and they opt-in.

Another way is to, of course, promote across your social Media platforms as well, You wan na stay in tune, subscribe here And really, I think, about call to action. Okay, What can you do? One that definitely reeled me in recently was a local pizza shop in San Diego, where I live As they do ( laughter ) And they basically were promoting that “. Hey sign up for our Newsletter and on your birthday “, you get a special deal.

”. What’s that special deal, Free slice of pizza, duh, Nice, (, laughs, ), I’m all about that. I prefer the whole pie but…, So you can do kind of The same thing right Like you, build your list: You have your service, your products, You can give either a discount or your own version of A free slice of pizza To kind of like sum this all up, is you’re giving value of Some sort to your audience In exchange for charging for it they’re giving you their e-mail, That’s basically the cost.

If you will So the more value you Bring to your audience the easier and more Willing they’re going to be to give you their e-mail so that they can get you On that contact list Exactly Now, what do we do about creating the actual e-mails themselves? Yes, the content Right, So you know what Why don’t just show an Example of a business crushing it with content on their e-mails. Let’s go All right, All right Nealey, So I thought it made.

Sense, after going through all these best practices, With e-mail marketing to actually pull up an example, So I was looking at this. Well actually, my whole inbox, (, laughs, ) And I was like which subject lines are Grabbing my attention: Okay, This is a e-mail from Canva and the subject line was “ People, heart,”, so use emoji, “ Quotes” period. So with this just to Go through an example, what I love about this Canva e-mail and it caught both of Our eyes is the banner And look how clean it is.

“ Inspire your followers.”, It’s crisp, it’s cool And then also I love The little call to action in the top right says: “ Weekly newsletter, Learn and be inspired,.”, Just kind of subtle call to action, right, [, Nealey, ], Yeah, [, Emma ] To sign up And then, as you, scroll down notice that there’s not a ton of text and it’s again very visual, And so they have these bullet points Of what they’re trying to get across for to get people excited about the tips? “ Be a force for change.

,” “ Use a positive metaphor:,” and “ Make it visually stand out.”. So this e-mail is educational, [, Nealey, ], Absolutely And right below it. A Giant call to action: Why is that super Important in our e-mails, It’s super important because You want to think about: what’s the purpose of your E-Mail in the first place, What are you giving your audience And if you’re going to Provide a call to action like Justin just pointed out, it’s a very clear big Button “ Give it a go.

” And then, in addition, they Have these awesome templates So they have some for Facebook. Posts Instagram posts and essentially, when you click on it, then let’s say you went To the Instagram post, one From there they’re going to Give you a template to apply Canva for your business in an Instagram post. Also, Instagram story helps. So you see it’s very, very cool It pops. It’s not a ton of verbiage,’cause! That’s when you’re Going to lose the reader Yeah, We don’t like to read just A giant block of text, It’s really cool to see.

It just sectioned off bullet points, nice and easy, nice and small to read and a lot of just visual Elements to keep my eyes engaged Absolutely And then you’ll notice too. On the bottom of their e-mail, they have their social media links, So they have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Linkedin. So this is a great opportunity right. If I’m opening your E-Mail and I’m a customer or potential customer I wan na go and check You out on other sites Make it easy for me to do that.

So e-mail newsletters are Great to cross-promote, [, Nealey, ], Absolutely Ooo, also Nealey. Another thing I know you’re familiar with this, but you’ll notice above the social links. What do we have here? A giant? Well, not so giant It’s pretty little, But it’s an unsubscribe button, but there’s a giant meaning behind it. So the Canned Spam Act says that every e-mail marketing Newsletter you send out has to have two things at the very least, An unsubscribe button and a location.

Now I know some of your Are just solo-preneurs or your home business is at home right, So you can put PO boxes here, but it does have to be A legitimate address that you can receive mail to.’Cause if you don’t follow these you’re, essentially becoming Spam and we don’t want this’cause, we know you’re A legitimate business All right Emma That was an awesome demo. I hope it really helped you with creating your own e-mail Newsletter campaigns So now you’ve got the subscriber list.

We’ve got the content. How do we know it’s working Great question? So definitely wan na look At unsubscribes right, That’s probably an obvious, And this is something you Want to keep an eye on.’Cause, it’s going to inform You that maybe your audience isn’t exactly as organic as you thought, and you need to continue building it And also maybe reconsider the content which we’ve just spent A lot of time covering what makes great content Also looking at open rates.

I know we do this a lot. On the marketing team, when we’re putting out E-Books and webinar invites Check it out, you know, Are they opening the e-mails And then, if they are in Fact, opening the e-mails are they actually clicking. On your call to actions Your links And I would encourage You not to be discouraged about the open rates Because with e-mail, it’s not Going to be a 90 %, 100 %, 80 % Open rates are going to be Pretty low but that’s okay, You’ll get! I don’t Know anywhere from like 10-to-20 is about Average percentage-wise That’s right, But even if they’re Not opening your e-mails, they’re still seeing your headline and they’re still seeing your business, which increases that brand awareness which your top of mind All right Emma.

So what are some other best practices? You can give the audience here on just really killing it. With their e-mail game, Yeah list maintenance So about every six months, go in pay attention to look who’s. Opening your E-Mails who hasn’t been, And the ones who aren’t Opening your e-mails isolate that list and let It chill for a little while ( laughs, ) And then remind them Down the road like hey and see, if they’re interested Gauge, it again feel that out, But definitely do that.

Every six months, Yeah And most e-mail providers that you use for your marketing campaigns. You can set up groups, so you Can easily move them into a haven’t heard from me group or a hot leads group Or a cold leads group or, however, makes sense to Really organize your listing so that way you can kill the game. If you guys stick around here until the end right, But really quick before we dive in here, I wanted to share with you guys the simple strategy. This is actually 40 times more effective than Facebook or even Twitter, any of the social media networks and Is already within your reach that all you can already use in your business. So this was actually a study done by McKinsey and company. So there are some very, very smart people, much more than me And it’s interesting because I talk a lot about Facebook advertising a lot talked a lot about the marketing and brand yourself on Facebook, But they went through and they found that blank is actually 40 times More effective at acquiring new customers Than Facebook or Twitter, and by the title of this article you guys kind of already know it, but that is email marketing Makeba, like that’s kind of crazy right, like if you think about it, okay, Facebook and Twitter and all that Stuff, It’s just a hot topic right now, Then emails been out for a long long time And if you look at the open rate, so the amount of people that actually open your emails and click on the emails It’s gone down dramatically.

However, McKenzie is saying that there’s 40 times more effective at acquiring new customers for your business Right. And if you look at this, it says that 72 % of people prefer to receive promotional content through email Compared to 17 %, who prefers social media and honestly guys when you jump on social media a lot of times if on Instagram Facebook, Whatever it is, people Are kind of searching through just because they want to like just kind of like have that brain dump Just like just chill and not have to really worry about anything.

Okay, they’re going through and they’re wanting to see pictures of the friends and all that other stuff, and So that’s why email can actually be a lot more powerful and why people actually sometimes prefer it over Just Facebook posts. Okay, so it says emails, ROI was twenty. Eight point: five percent Compared to 7 % for direct mail, and so that kind of just goes through shows the comparison. There is four times more effective for ROI And if you think about that I mean how expensive is direct mail, That’s pretty expensive, ready to go through it and send all those different mail pieces, whereas with email You can just go through and do an email blast.

It is an essence free for you to go through and use for your business, And then it says a message is five times more likely to be seen in email than via Facebook, And that’s part of this whole new face book out of the grid of algorithm Updates, Which I get questions about all the time like well, How does this affect my real estate business? Well, the really the way it would affect your real estate.

Business is, if you go make a post on your Facebook page Pretty much. Nobody is going to see that unless you put money behind it right, whereas with a email, It’s going to Go through to every single person’s inbox and the chances of people actually seeing that goes up dramatically now. I just want to really quickly share with you guys, a cool storage experience That happened with email, marketing and in my business And why it’s so important to go through and effect.

We use it in your business and guys Here just a second I’m going to show you how you can get access to all of these email templates here right. So I’m right now, I’m reading a book by Grant Cardone, It’s called seller, be sold and in the book he talks about your power base K And your power base is kind of like what we’ve talked about Before on this blog is just your warm market, people That already know like and trust you and then it’s good.

It’s a lot easier to go through and do business with them as opposed to your cold market right. So he goes and talks about how you need to be effectively leveraging that that power base and Email is an amazing way to do it. Okay, And even if you’re going through and you’re sending emails and you’re like well, I can see that They’re not really opening or clicking on my emails or doing anything like that when the time is right, They’re going to be your best easiest customers, especially in real Estate right, because Not every single person’s always ready to go through and buy a home, not every person’s ready to go through and sell a home.

But what actually happened with me recently in my business, and this actually happens all the time Is there was this guy? Who he’s been on my email list he’s been following me: He’s kind of been my warm market for over a year now over a year, but he has not spent dollar with me, Okay and then just this past week, He finally signed up and he jumped on Our full-service plan that we can go through and help him right now He’s been on my email list for a long time.

Okay, I’ve seen like you know, occasionally hope my emails occasionally He’ll go through and click on them, but it was after a Year that he finally jumped on and honestly like. What I saw. Will we work with is a lot lower ticket item and is something That like people can jump on and get started with a lot quicker than going through and buying or selling a home. So I just kind of want to like kind of put that in perspective with you guys, When you’re going through, then you’ve got your email database.

You’ve got your contacts. You’ve got all those people that that know they like you. They trust you. So what we can do is come over here and Create another sequence, so you can see, we’ve got, buyer leads email series, So it leads other leads for like leads coming in through Trulia Zillow, real calm by monthly updates. So this is really cool because what happens is inside of here.

We got all these email templates of real estate, Specific information, just updating and staying in touch with all of your leads. Okay, so You just put these people through the sequence, and then you don’t even have to think about it. The emails are going to go out on Autopilot every 15 days, and this right here is a six-month-long Sequence that you can just have that little touch points with all of your customers And you can see, we’ve got first-time little buyer or even the single emailing right Here You can go through and create your own custom Email sequence right, so you can either go through and copy/paste all the emails in here, Or we also have a pre bill in here And then also as part of the Arsenal CRM.

If we come over here to the listings or not the lists inside the lead section, What we can do is say: Hey, ok, this James guy, maybe Bob Eugene and Jason. We want through and roll them into The bimonthly update, section kaor, and so we just hit enroll leads And then it’ll enroll those people in that sequence and then, for example, James right here. If we click on his name right here, It’ll come down and you’ll be able to see the emails that are sent Delivered open, clicked on all that Information right here in the history, and we can add tags, we can add notes and follow up with this person.

Okay, So anyway, guys as far as if you want to go through a use, email marketing in your real estate business, I highly recommend it because You’re able to go through and have all these little touch points throughout the year Where you don’t have to necessarily be Thinking about it, You can just enroll them into these automated sequences that are already pre-built and done for you in your business, And so you can have these touch points and take advantage of this 40 times increase in acquiring new customers Compared to Facebook or Twitter.

Now that doesn’t mean you don’t do Facebook marketing doesn’t mean you don’t do with these other social media marketing. But the thing is, you need to be doing it all because, as we’ve talked about in previous articles, There’s just so many ways to communicate with your customers. Now, There’s email marketing, There’s text marketing, There’s phone calls, There’s facebook messenger, there’s a number of different ways and Each person they prefer a different method of communication act like some people are going to be old-school And they still prefer the phone call talk to somebody one-on-one.

Some people for prefer email, some people prefer Facebook, messenger, Some people text messages, and so you need to connect with every single one of your clients and potential clients Where they’re going to be hanging out and where they prefer to communicate with. So you need to be on all these different platforms, But the nice thing about email, guys, It’s basically free, okay and comparing it to direct mail, It’s four times as effective when you’re talking about ROI and the cost is like pretty much non-existent.

How to Make an Opt-In Form for Your Email Marketing

They can Just sign up right there, you can have it at the end of your post. You can have it in your Social media profiles – Really, you can put it Anywhere that there’s a link, So I heard that you can buy A list of email addresses: Is that really the best practice Yeah? That’s a no We’ve all been added to lists where you get these Emails and you’re like who the heck is this from That’s true: That’s a one-way ticket to spamville.

So don’t do that. Don’t be that person. The easiest way is just To give your readers the opportunity to sign up and then they’ll enjoy the Content that you’re sending and most likely read it Now. I know I’m already a part of a lot of different email lists and I wouldn’t really Wan na join another one. So what do you do to make someone Or entice them to sign up Yeah. Obviously your Fans are going to join’cause, they want your content, but some of your readers and fans may need a little extra incentive and that’s where an Opt-In incentive comes in So this can be anything where hey sign up and You get this freebie or you get my checklist on How to be more productive things like that, Just give them something that Encourages them to to sign up so that way, they’re not just Signing up for another list And a lot of times you Will have people sign in get the little freebie and Bounce and unsubscribe, But a lot of the time you Will have people who will stay And if you have great content, They’re going to stick around and that’s more opportunity for you to market you and your business As you’ve often heard content is king.

So now Morgan, you have Your email subscribers, but now how do you keep them Yeah, so you wan na make sure number one is that you have a really eye-catching subject line. I think one of the easiest way to do this is to throw an emoji in there, because when I see that Those emails stand out And don’t just go. Emoji crazy’cause, that’s a little too much, but you wan na have just a little emoji, just get a little color a little pop and then also have a subject line that really says ooh.

I need To click that I want that, So yes, content is king, and so you wan na make sure that content is super relevant to your audience. They signed up and they wan na stick around for what they signed up for That’s what they’re expecting. So if you have a newsletter that has the top five articles of the week and then you change it up on Them and you’re just saying hey: this is what I did today and here’s a vlog about my life.

You may find people who Aren’t really into that, because they actually really liked your top five articles of the week So make sure that your content is relevant and really driving to not Only what your users want, but also what you want for your business. This is a huge opportunity to convert these users Into paying customers so you’re going to have to balance that And another way to get people To opt-in to your email list is to have subscriber-only perks.

I know I’m a part of some email list where you get first chance at merchandise or opportunities to see different articles before everybody else does, and it kinda makes you feel special Part of the cool kids club Exactly And the next thing is: don’t Email, your subscribers everyday [, Morgan ]! No, You don’t wan na be that one That floods, everyone’s email, We know who you are company X, (, laughs, ), Unsubscribe So make sure to space it out and give your subscribers a Breather every now and then So guys you need to get started.

Creating your opt-in, And your email list now It is so important, Even if you don’t have a product, yet you have people who will be following you and you want to start creating And building that list, even if your product is a year out so that way when it is ready to launch boom, you have an Instant base of customers that you can now sell to Don’t wait, And I know it’s a lot of work in coming up with these emails and I’m already doing social media, I’m already doing blog Posts but make the time It doesn’t have to be like we said.

Definitely don’t do once a day.
