How Joanna Hawley Made the Jump From Textile Design to Blogging

Okay. This is heaven like amazing, but my personal life was a freaking trainer. I had a roommate pull a knife on what everybody welcome to the show. As always, this is a show about screwing up making mistakes in the bottom coming back out again and and shinin. So your your mom knows that your tenacious, I I think in general, this is the show about being human, because that’s what we all do like, even though we like to tell people the great things that we’ve done in the world and we’ve made it there and It’s all been perfect, that’s never ever ever the case, that’s what we tried our covering and having to gets on the show and figuring out exactly what they did to be successful tonight.

We will be talking to Joanna Holley, who runs Joe Joe tastic she’s, a fashion blogger designer small space for the she’s, an influencer. I’r really really excited to me. Everybody welcome to the show I am here with Joanna from Jojo Jojo tastic welcome. Thank you for being here thanks for having me oh, this is going to. I can already tell there’s going to be a lot of fun so before we get into like all the fun messed up kind of stuff and everything we like to talk about, tell me a little bit about yourself what you’re doing now and actually just start there.

Yeah, what do you? What are you doing now so now I am a blogger, influencer social media person and I do some prop styling on the side. Okay way back when I was a textile designer for companies like Nordstrom anthropology and a few others like, and I went to school for industrial designs so like I spent a lot of time in the woodshop building, things like yeah, just feeding things through the table saw At 3 o’clock in the morning, I’m like all of that and then went into textiles after school and just kind of loved it and spent all of my day like in an office drawing and photoshopping stuff yeah yeah.

I have so many questions now. This is so good. I so first I’m not even going to remember all of them now so textile design. I have no idea what that is. What is if you’ve ever bought like a shirt with a pattern on it. Okay, chances are a textile designer touch that so either they picked the fabric that the print is printed on yeah or they like designed the weave like. If you have a plaid shirt yeah and it’s it’s a woven yeah that shirt they design that or it’s like.

I did a lot of what’s called fabric manipulation you walk into anthropology and there’s those quilts with like a bunch of like texture and stuff. On that, okay yeah. I did a lot of that so tough fabric and I would like tuck in and pin in yeah all that and then I’d send it to a factory and be like copy. This make this yeah. So that’s textile design wait spell designer is a textile designer and then I did the print design as well.

So that is like the tiny little flowers on like a t-shirt yeah, and I did that for like ladies underwear and pajamas yeah. How would like? Where would you okay, how did you get into that? Like? Did you just see an open position and you’re yeah, or is it like? I saw an open position and the HR person had accidentally put her email address in it, so I emailed her Wow yeah. Why not like? What are you? What’s on your resume to say, hey, I can put little tiny flowers on women’s underwear.

I have been creating artwork for bedding at a catalog company yeah, and so I had like a portfolio of printed duvets, yeah and then candle packaging printed. I seriously it’s so look at everything. Everything that you’re saying makes it sound like you, should be much more pretentious than you are you’re like printed duvets or, like your shape style. The Euro metal is a Euro sure yeah, yeah yeah, but yeah, obviously you’re not like that at all.

It’s I mean it’s underwear, so you did that and then you said prop prop styling props style, that’s like kind of a newer thing: okay, well, a byproduct of blogging, where it’s like. Basically with my blogging, it’s like I’m a one-woman like marketing machine yeah. So it’s like a company or a brand like reaches out to me and they want to do a photo shoot, and so I, like I’ll, shoot the photos. I do the whole concept in write.

The copy edit the photos like everything, yeah, and so that has turned into oh well. We like the way your photos look. Can you make our photos? Look like that. Okay, I got you which is fun. It’s basically it’s making stuff look pretty and then just like walking away and not having to promote it on social media. What, before that, what screw you to this like work, I mean, did you start off by I didn’t like as a kid I was really into ballet and really into like being creative.

I was really lucky because my mom, I I don’t know how she met this guy, but she met a guy whose son had gone to my college, Carnegie Mellon, and he like mentioned this program of industrial design, to her yeah and like communication, design and she’s. Like oh, that could be interesting for me and they do this pre, which program so between your junior and senior year. You go for a summer, know all about it, and I came back for rent and I was like nobody can tell me anything now.

I’r important like I’ve been to college I’ve lived on my own. No was it was an industrial design that you studied there for that kind of both yeah, like they cuz at CMU, the it’s a four-year program right and the first year. You do both industrial design and communication design, and then you decide sophomore year, and so it was like a little bit of both and I just was like this is amazing yeah and it clicked now we’re at the drinking part of the show.

This is sober. This is going to be the best jack. What are we? What are we drinking? Yes tonight I’ve got the candle and pitch for you, so we’re going to start out with our ghost whiskey, two ounces. We keep this one very spirit forward in life. Point five of our cedar cordial house-made, one dropper of our allspice tincture quarter, ounce of our cherry and kaffir lime, shrub and wasn’t of our Regan’s orange bitters and we’ll find strain that into our glass here the espuma and then we’re going to add a few allspice Berries and a little cedar, frog yeah, but cherry kaffir lime shrub, is a part of your base here, served in a lantern, so to speak, that’s the candle part for sure.

Thank you. Thank you all right. Oh it has a straw. You ready! No! I am yeah pick that part up. Oh cuz, it’s in there all right, favorite way to say cheers. You got 100, oh you’re, great, all right! Oh bah! Here we go! Oh wow! That’s really good! If you were to write a blog post about this drink like how would you do it like, where would you start it’d, probably be a recipe post? There’s always the glamour shot recipe pose yes and recipes perform very well in Pinterest.

First, you tell me: what’s the construct of a recipe post like how’d, you do like how it’s actually yeah like one of the parts and how they go together, because there’s the glamour shot, okay, which encourages you to click. Okay, there’s an introductory paragraph and that’s usually where we pack the SEO keywords and then usually I like to do like four to five images: they’re all they’re, actually, all glamour shot that one you know and sometimes I’ll do the ingredient shot like if the ingredients are Especially pretty yeah I’ll, just like do like a really messy shot on like a piece of marble.

You know like: where does the recipe show up halfway down the post uh-huh? We need to make sure they spend the time on the site. Yeah, you know maybe it’ll be a few other like links to other things as a consumer. Maybe they’ll subscribe to my email newsletter while they’re there does it pop up on the screen. I think go back only like every like fifth visit or something like that’s very kind of you, we’re subtle, yeah.

I should’ve brought UX for my chickens. Oh wait! You have chickens, oh yeah, oh wait! How many chickens? Do you have five? You have five chickens. I have five: we’ve had a few um. You had more than five House Rules he’s lately. We should pour one out, but you know you have lots and lots and lots of eggs. Well, it depends like oh, my god, okay yeah, so well, and some of the chickens don’t lay because they’re duds, like Nancy Kerrigan, is just like nope we’re not going to do it.

You have a chicken there, Nancy Kerrigan, well, they’re, fancy chickens, so there’s named after figure, skaters, okay, so the tiniest one that just died was Tonya, Harding, Nancy Kerrigan. I call her my like emotional support chicken because she lets me hold her like a baby and like she follows me around she’s like a big fluffy white chicken and then there’s Dorothy Hamill. She like rules the roost, it’s her world, we’re just living in it.

Michelle Kwan, she has this like weird raspy voice, where she sounds like she’s had like a pack of day a habit for like years. It’s really weird. She lays blue eggs she’s like she’s, like a beard like the Kathleen Turner um Chris Yamaguchi she’s. Am I allowed to kurtis she’s? She really is she hisses at me: she’s like she hates me yeah, but, and she eats everything like she won’t let any of the others eat and then there’s Katarina vet, who is like kind of the lowest on the totem pole and she gets picked on a Lot yeah, but she’s like she lays eggs the most consistently.

The the the the big question for me here is: did you name them after you saw their personalities? Yes, oh it’s even better yeah great yeah, that’s the figure! Skaters see totally well, I don’t Kerrigan and I’m like Nancy. Can we be friends yeah, but no, it didn’t work out now: yeah yeah cuz. You named the chicken yeah after a problem, but the prettiest chicken yeah yeah. I love that we’re no longer talking about like the Jojo testicle.

I mean this, oh my word. Well, I mean you have to put that together: yeah yeah, yeah, yeah cuz. I do like hashtag chicken TV on Instagram stories and people like just send me their own chicken TVs. This is so great. You have chickens and you made underwear so getting to where you’re at now, with Jojo tastic influencer lifestyle. Blogger tell me a little bit more. So what I’m curious about, obviously, because of the show it’s on the way to that, but did you have like what were that? What were the missteps? What were the mistakes? What were the things you had to learn where you’re like? Oh, my god, I totally screwed that up.

Why, like what could I have done differently? I learned that I’m not great at like working for other people, I’m really good at working for myself. You know so it’s this constant thing of like I have this vision and I like desperately want to share it and like be part of these team to help with this vision, your vision, right and just not really being able like within myself to like communicate it Or to feel like, I am part of the team, like any of those reasons you know, and so I left Nordstrom and went to anthropology, because I they put me in this like super technical role, where it was just like emails, emails, email at Nordstrom’s yeah.

It felt like I was hitting my head against the wall, and so when I went to anthro it was again like I’m drawing all day. This is heaven like amazing, but my personal life was a freaking train wreck. Oh, I had moved to Philadelphia. Yeah. I’ve never been to Philly, except for, like the job interview yeah, I get off the plane and it’s like 90 degrees, a hundred percent humidity yeah, there’s like a drunk man yelling in the airport.

I have my cat in a carrier and like two of those like really big, like expedition like body bags of my personal belongings, yeah, and I’m like what have I done. Yeah yeah. We have made a terrible mistake. It was not my place, it didn’t work for me like I just I had like really a living situation like I had a roommate pull a knife on me. What like, I was connected with some friends of a friend, and she just wasn’t like why why to take out the recycling I took up the trash and I forgot to take out the recycling, because I got distracted no seriously.

No, she like woke me up at 3 o’clock in the morning when she came home from the bar and was like hella aggressive, and so I was like I’m done and there was like a week span where the cat – and I always with the cat, always we Slept in my Volkswagen Golf yeah outside of my office, not many people know this. That’s a speck actually you’re going into anthro anthropology, after sleeping in a golf with a cat, and nobody knew I’m like nobody knew yeah.

Nobody knew yeah, and I just was so supremely unhappy. It was like it was just really bad and it felt it honestly felt like it was like the deep dark period of my life, like I still think of it as like. This is the deep dark space. We will never go back here. Yes around that time. I actually got a huge contract for the blog and it was a contract that was more than my yearly salary. So you were all right, so you were blah.

I was blogging while you were there yeah and what did you? So? What did you start blogging about? Was it about really this weird thing that I fell into when I was the climbing bum like living off unemployment yeah, I emailed joy, Cho of oh joy, calm who’s, like the og, blogger, yeah, and I was like I love what you’re doing and I’d love to Be a part of it and she’s like okay, and so I wrote for her for three years, something like that on her site and just learned everything about blogging from her yeah and she invited me to Pinterest early.

So she somehow got on Pinterest really early. I like think as like a consultant something like that. Yeah and she invited me. So I have this like corny joke which, like I’m not the first person on Pinterest and the second interesting, was growing or and growing all right right and suddenly. I have 3.8 million followers suddenly, and I was just like look: what’s it? What’s the? What was the drive like they? What’s the most things that people were following, was it designed into fashion? Yes, because for my day job I read to runway a lot yeah, and so I would pin runway looks that I could then like get inspired and translate into a pillow yeah.

So it was like I was always pinning fashion, and so then I became a fashion. Influencer, it’s a lot of pressure, so you start you end up with your own blog all the way and eventually so was it easy at the beginning to to monetize your blog, oh right, yeah. So – and this is super rare yeah. I had my first sponsored post within three months of launching oh wow. What was it was just like a gift guide for a company that does like a bunch of super gifty things like really weird gift ideas, and I think it was like for $ 300, and I was like we’re rich, that’s amazing, yeah, and so from there just Kind of, and then I’m in this period like the past couple years of diversifying yeah so that you know it’s like in summer blogging slower, there’s fewer sponsorships yeah.

Let’s have something else yeah you know so I like to have a lot of things can’t sit. Still. I actually am thinking of taking like a sabbatical type situation, and I don’t know what that looks. Like hashtag ban life right, I was like a social media like personality like what does that look like yeah, because it can be depleting to be like posting every day and feel this need to like constantly be sharing, and there is definitely like.

There’s the Jojo tastic Johanna and then there’s Johanna Johanna and it’s like not everybody knows that I’m, like sleeping in my truck in Montana yeah. You know, but that’s what fuels me, and so some of what I’ve been doing is pulling those things together a little bit more yeah, so that if I take a sabbatical in the van or the sailboat or whatever, whatever it feels more natural yeah. I’r also just thinking of ways that, like, like I miss making things yeah.

You know like I used to draw painting yeah and I don’t know if you know, but I use my hands a lot when I talk, so it’s really misusing my hands. So it’s like. I want to like: is it ceramics? Am I painting again like something like that? Even it’s just personal yeah, I missed that yeah there’s a when it comes to social media or personalities. Influencers things like that we were. The idea of authenticity is, I know, where’s the like earner.

I know it totally. It’s like. I want to see authentic right yeah, like here’s me in the loo right like, but nobody, I think in general that there’s a not only a tolerance, but people want to see people recharge. They want to see them be human. They want to see that but like through all of my trips to like the hospital and everything like my followers have always been there like. Essentially it’s like a cheering section, yeah, it’s incredible yeah.

You know because it’s like I can have a day and they’re, just like you’re amazing, and these people have really become a part of my life or it’s like I, I really, if I could. I would just like thank them every day, because I I couldn’t do this without them, like I’m freaking, lucky yeah, you know well uh Opa, Opa Opa. Let’s do it one more time, thanks for being on having me, this is wonderful! All right, Oh bah! Well, that’s a wrap thanks Joanna for being on the show.

If you liked what you saw and you did what we’re doing here then subscribe or hit like button, or I think, there’s a bell somewhere that you can ring on the page. Do that and if you have mistake whatever it is, then go to epic calm, you

How To Close A Social Media Marketing Client With Cold Calling

I’r going to open up the lead seem like I’m just well at my selling there is she and your pipedrive no well. I look like I don’t know if she knows, but she isn’t mine and on that note guys this is my sales guy, I’m ashamed to say navigate. This is so guys. This is my sales guy Esteban. Now we’ve got really cool article. I brought him over to the crib, because I wanted to talk about the topic of cold calling of sales.

What not, because I’m going to have very, very happy to announce that end of January they’re about I’ll, be releasing my social media marketing course. So so so many fucking people have asked about it, because I have a very interesting approach to my marketing agency. You know I talk a lot about like the systems. I’ve built to literally just get clients like through the door consistently and I’ve never done a sale.

A cold call in my life ever but you know who has my sales guy and, as I said, that’s why I thought I would bring him on here to talk about sales and whatnot. So I guess just to introduce yourself yeah okay, so my name is Esteban and I’ve had a past in sales for the last couple of years. Never really know. I never really went deep into cells until I opened up my own marketing agency on months back and I realized how big of an issue is.

Cells are especially for start-up businesses in the marketing industry. Businesses, like I’m sure you guys, are running so I started getting really passionate about actually how to solve that problem and yeah. That got me what took me deep into the rabbit hole, and Here I am now doing sales for mr. Demon yeah. So the way we actually connected is he came to my event here in London like two and a half three months ago and followed up with me, he did very well to actually land a meeting with me.

After yeah, we went for a quick coffee and he basically proposed the idea of cold calling, and you know coming on board as my sales guy I’ll be honest. I was skeptical as fuck when he first brought it up, because in my head and cold calling doesn’t work right and that’s actually the topic of this article, like the limiting beliefs around sales and how you’re limiting beliefs are holding you back right, because you know it Was unknown territory? For me, I had gone a completely different route in terms of my customer acquisition, so yeah, I brought him on board.

I said: look if you can land me like two meetings like like you know, let’s roll with it. Let’s do this. I think in the space of two weeks he got me six fucking meetings, all super solid, leads and actually went on to assign a few of those. So look, I thought I would bring him on and first of all, just ask him like. Obviously I had a bunch of limiting beliefs. What do you think as someone getting new into social media marketing like what are some of the new limiting beliefs that are holding people back and how did you initially face them sure? Well, the main limiting beliefs, guys is that cold calling doesn’t work.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of gurus out there. There push this belief out there that cold calling is not the way to do things. As I told you, I had a marketing agency myself, so I experimented with all the while all the methods now on but did cold emailing networking references of which I mean references are the highest. They got the highest conversion, radio, but in terms of getting a client really quickly from zero cold.

Calling is the way to go. You know, as when you’re starting a business, you want to get cash as quickly as possible, so the best way to go from zero to 100 is to start getting on the phones. Visiting businesses is, I know something that you guys do a lot as well, but the the bad thing about going to businesses is the amount of time that you waste on the phone. On the other hand, you can instead of going one day only visiting five to six locations.

You can ring up 20 in one hour, so I mean you: can you can put things together and see how cold calling can be soupier yeah? So um? Look. You know when you go down your sales process and we’re taught like obviously, everyone starts somewhere and a lot of people on the other side of the screen are literally at like Ground Zero like what did you do to train yourself within the realm of sales, with, Like getting comfortable with all this stuff, you know okay, so the number one thing you have to do when, when you start selling something is you have to believe in what you’re selling okay so get comfortable? Believing in what you got? Bro start believing in your service.

It works just be comfortable with the fact that you’ll be able to do it, especially with this guy’s help. You will get the right information and you will get the right strategies to pull through once you got that belief. You just have to pick up the fucking phone and do it and also built yourself a little script just so you can have that extra comfort behind you, that extra confidence and to actually happen to have some sort of strategy to actually get where you want to Go because without a strategy you just won’t be able to close any deals: okay, yeah and now that script that he talked about.

That’s big because I have been studying, that’s kind of like my new big thing is sales over the past. Like a few weeks because, literally like two weeks ago, I closed seven and a half thousand on the phone, which is roughly ten thousand dollars in. Like five days right, but these are all warm leads or hot leads, like people were going to buy anyways so um. But you know last week like I had like, I think, like four calls.

I’d only closed like to Kate on the phone last week and you know like the results weren’t as solid, and you know I like, I didn’t feel as good and, like you know, things went off the sales process and whatnot. You know if you could look at like Durham Buffett’s like straight line. Persuasion, I’m you know I’ve studied that one know like, and so obviously I brought you in because you’re a master at sales like I just really really respect what you’ve done within that room, and you know all the help that you’ve given me and I you know Obviously I brought you into the crib last week and I’m like you know like do.

I need a sales script like how important is the sales script and obviously you were like well fuck yeah, like you, you can’t like yeah. Can you ever heal anything yeah? 100 %, you can’t just go in there and fucking wing it like if he again, if you don’t, have some sort of strategy, you’re never going to get to your end goal and that’s the most important thing number two you’re not going to get you’re not going To feel as confident on what you want, you have it to say: number til! You won’t see what you’re getting wrong every time you make a phone call because there’s some objections that are very common, so you can actually write those down right.

How you’re going to resolve those objections and then the next time they appear? You can actually feel more comfortable with dealing with them now. Another very important thing that I really want to put touch on is follow-up. Follow-Up is probably the biggest and most important thing when you’re trying to sell something when you’re trying to sell yourself when you’re trying to sell a product with anything, okay selling involves a lot of rejection, so a lot of the cells you won’t make them on the First phone call: that’s just the nature of cells, but if you follow up, you can turn a hundred phone calls into 400.

Obviously, because you got you got a hundred people that you can, you can talk to and with follow-up. That means you can call each guy five to twelve times, so you automatically made yourself have all the higher chance of actually closing a cell, if that makes any sense, but this is a really important fact that I want you guys to remember and when one comes, When it comes to follow-up, it takes usually around five to twelve times to close a deal.

Okay, so you have to call the same guy five to twelve times to close that deal on average. Once you got that in mind, and once you start actually following up on those leads, that’s when you’re actually going to see the real real big results, all right, yeah and that that’s big, like he always presses me on the follow-up. I’r just because, as I said, I guess I’ve been very lucky because I put I have like I’ve put such incredible systems in place.

I put such incredible email follow-ups in place. I’ve put such incredible follows in place. So such incredible social funnels, where socially, like I’m, building all these systems so that people are funneling to me they’re, like you know, I I never really had to follow up like the in like people, came to me with the interest. So that was something he pressed hard on guys. This is his first time on YouTube, so, like most people shoot themselves in front of camera, but it would be fun if we just did a like a little a little roleplay of a phone call.

So whatever I’m a I’m a local gym, let’s say, for example, so yeah, alright, okay, so obviously it might come across as I’m actually just winging it. But remember I’ve done this so many times that there’s always some sort of structure behind what I’m actually saying. So if I’m going to ring up – let’s say a gym and let’s put this in the let’s put this in perspective – let’s say I get the the decision maker on the phone call straightaway.

Alright, so I’m going to be up like hey hello good afternoon. My name is Julian: can I speak to the business owner and he’s going to be like yeah? That’s me, it’s Eamon and, like ok, great great. Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you now. The reason for my call is that I actually came across your business online and I saw that we could massively help you get more customers every month using social media marketing and advertising.

Now I don’t know if you do anything like this. Where have you done anything like this before yeah? I have someone in-house handling it. Ok, that’s perfectly fine. Actually, a quick fun fact is that most of the businesses, I call today actually they’re working with somebody else already and the reason for my phone call right now. It’s actually not to sell you my service. I merely want to have 15 more minutes of your time, just so that you can maybe consider and see how we can actually make your business better, because one of the main reasons why I created this agency was because all of the other agencies out there, they Cannot deliver results, they just don’t.

Do the word grill pretty much now. Well again. All I need is 50 minutes of your time. I know you’re a busy guy. When can we do a meet-up, so you said you found my business online. Why did you decide to call me after looking at my business? Is it did you find something wrong or well I mean, then there is a lot of stuff that I have to point out. I mean there’s, there’s obviously stuff that you could do better again.

I’r not here, I’m not trying to I’m not trying to give you a phone call just to dis your business. I know your business down there and I respect you for that, but there’s obviously a lot of things that I’d like to show you this point by the way, guys like there’s a checklist that he goes to so, for example, close check stuff like is their Facebook Pixel installed on the upside and there’s no Facebook pixel install like 90 % of time, they’re not doing Facebook advertising or if they are, and they don’t even have a pixel install on their website.

That’s that’s an immediate like a towel that you should be calling me. So this one enjoy, I mean I said I put I’ve completely put him on the spot, guys like they just remember it’s first time on YouTube for a second for a camera King. But like look as I said that he would no, you know he tracks the analytics of their website. He tracks stuff, like their Facebook pixel, he tracks stuff. He looks at their social media, their engagement, you know their overall branding stuff like that, and he has you know through tools that we’ll talk about in the social media marketing course like.

He has a lot of actual info on the business before he even calls. So when I asked something like that, like you know like why, why did you decide to call me he can actually point out that info with it yeah yeah and also something that’s very important, the more you know about the business once you get and just once You get on the phone with the decision maker. You can pre-plan the objections that he’s going to have.

Obviously you can tell as a marker when they already working with a with a marketing agency, so you already know what to expect from that. Okay, now do prepare for a lot of objections pretty much. What we did right now is objection handling, but yeah the more you know about their business they’re, more capable you’re going to sell on the phone, the more comfortable you’re going to be, and the more they’re going to notice that you actually care about their business.

One of the things I always notice with you is you never you never block an objection which I find super like he never like, and I you know guys I have like so many coaches, so many mentors – and I have friends like he’s literally like he sorry Office my sales guy, like now one of my closest friends like like I like study and I learn from these people and one of these one of the things I always notice.

Is you never go like? If I, if I go, you know my audience, isn’t on Facebook like you, you would never go. No actually robot, you always know just kind of like loop around it. Well, yeah, you got ta, you got ta, you got ta, take the customers perspective right, like whenever you’re arguing with somebody. Whenever you got you a discussion, you’re not going to get anywhere just by saying that the other guy is wrong.

The other guy only cares about what you just said. So as long as you acknowledge it and then find a way to deal with that objection by offering some more information, the guy’s going to be cool with it again remember most of the objections you’re getting are just complaints. So as long as you have that in mind, okay, really good question: what’s the difference between an objection and seriously like fuck off like no well, I mean you can tell straight away like if you’re opposed to girl of the club and you grab her by the Arm and she almost tries to slap you or she tells you like – a solid.

No I’m not interesting on being with you, then you’re like okay whoa, like I shouldn’t just like, go ahead and try to go for the kiss now. Okay, she’s, actually he’s actually objecting a complaint, on the other hand must be like you come up. You come acquit, you come across. You talk to go and they’re like. Oh, no. I don’t have time with my friends, Olivia they’re, just complaining dude they just they just trying to see what your ration will be is like.

When you talk to somebody on the phone, it’s what’s known as a shit test yeah, it’s like a shit test, dude like if you go up the street and some guy just stops. You hey, what’s up man, your natural response, you don’t even know anything about this. Guy he might be about to offer you a million bucks. Your first response is going to be all no dude. I don’t have time. Okay, I’m not a jack thing, because if he told me he’s got he’s going to give me a million bucks.

I’d stop straight on my ass and give me a my give me money, but uh I just have a natural. I just have a natural tendency. Humans have a natural tendency to just create complaints, and that’s that’s what sells that’s what people do when you’re selling to them they’re going to complain, all the time doesn’t mean they’re, not interested, doesn’t mean they don’t want by your service, doesn’t mean that you’re fucking up.

It’s just what Nash does is just a natural, a natural thing for humans to do yeah and guys just remember they’re going to test like, and I even look, even like cold coal or know. If I’m at a meeting, there’s like they still give me shit tons of shit tests because they need to see how long can I keep up like my character for, like anyone can play a character or have an amazing seal script for for X amount of time? But then they’re going to throw these shit tests at hue, these difficult questions which you should have a sales script to prepare for.

You should know your objections, the more and more like he knows how to handle every objection under the Sun, but they’re going to do that kind of like test your character cuz. You know perfect analogy like if someone some random person on the street is about to give you a million like you need like, like what they’re going to give you something incredible in the same way, you were about to give your clients something incredible.

They just don’t know it yet and they need a nessam. You know they need some like they need it settled in their heart that, like you, like, you actually are who you say you are like. They need to sense that congruence and that’s that’s what we need that belief, though, because if you don’t have that belief, you’re not going to be able to push through the objections pushed through the sales process, because you know that you don’t actually believe you’re offering the Guy, a million bucks wish you bar guess.

I mean the guests. You’ve worked on your business enough that you think you are even if you’re, not it’s just if you know what you’re doing yeah and once again I said: that’s something we’re going to go over like hard on the course is the fact that, like most of you Guys are underpricing yourself, you don’t even realize the value that you’re bringing to these businesses and like that’s something, we’re really diving deep into in the course so that when it comes to picking up the phone well you’re about to give them the fucking world, like a Fuck, it’s not hard to sell this stuff, but um yeah.

Is there any like last closing, closing points yeah for sure, because I know it’s a lot of information and sales is something that is usually something that you guys don’t go deep into. So I don’t want to overwhelm you with all this. The main thing that you guys should walk with from this chat is that cold calling works, number one get out start getting on the fucking phones, no matter what your excuses and number two just do it.

Okay, sales at the end of the day is always a numbers game. You can you can you? Can you can race your closing ratios, depending on how much you know about your product about how to handle objections, but as long as you tomorrow start getting on the phone, even though, if you don’t know what you’re doing as long as you got a good attitude, You know what you’re talking about you know your product and you get in front of enough people you’re going to make sales period period so stop doing whatever the fuck you’re doing, stop sending those emails that get no response whatsoever and start getting on the phone to Do something different, your main issue is obscurity.

That’s it all right there. We have it guys. So I said my cool little way to announce the social media marketing course coming end of January. As I said, I would never fucking like tell you guys something that I’ve. Never practiced, which is why we’ve got this guy on for literally like six seven modules right like he’ll, there will be an hour of content straight directly from him, and I said I kind of put them like I’m going to be honest with you guys.

I kind of put him on the spot here like never done YouTube like this guy like take like it should mean a lot coming from me like this guy knows a lot, a lot about sales, and I was like I was just stunned by what he was Able to do for my agency personally, so we’ve got a little a full section on sales straight from Esteban hope. You guys enjoy this article and yeah I’ll, see you tomorrow.

Publish Typescript Package to Github & NPM | Typescript package publish | Common JS and ES6 support

Okay. Recently github has provided this feature that you can also publish the same package to github as a github module. So we will try to explore both the options, how you can publish a package to npm, which is a node package registry node, package manager right and with there we have all the packages are available.

If you look at the express react, angular all the packages, we are doing the installation and we are fetching from the npm registry right now. You can also think about how can I publish my own package? You created some kind of utility, some kind of a commander tool, some kind of helper tool, cli tool which you wanted to publish like. You created some kind of a mock library which is going to mock your database in local storage or any other kind of http library, which is helping you same as xeos cache apis and all you wanted to publish those kind of packages.

So how can you publish and what all kind of module system you can support like uh? Consider this particular package react, or you can say express so express – is a npm module right and this some somebody has published this particular package, and now you will be able to install this particular package and use in your application right. So somebody has published it, and now, if I wanted to use, I can use it just like using require commonjs module or you can also use it in the typescript support ufi.

You can see import express as alias from express, so it is supporting everything because the alias type type script – typing type definitions are available for express. Similarly, if we just talk about angular angular has at the rectangular, where we have all the packages like angular c lines. Now, if I wanted to install it, what I will do is, I will simply do npm install minus c, it’s like a utility package, so you will install it globally and then you can.

You will be able to run all these different different commands right. Similarly, all these packages are published by someone you can see that this is the reference repository. This is the home page last published versioning. You can see the semantics versioning where you are actually major minor and patch version right. So all these things you have to manage now to support all these different things like your package, should be able to be imported as a common gs modules or the esx module.

When I talk about es6 module means you will be using the required syntax as a common gs module right if you are using import, export import, react from react or construct equal to require react. Both both are different right. So simple, like i’m just using this writer import react construct equal to require it. This is a common json view of common gsb of importing the module, but your module, which you publish to npm, should support common gs export so that you will be able to use it like this or otherwise.

You will do import react from react. Library – and this is what you do – this is a es6 view of import right, so we will see how you can publish a simple utility and which can support both and what we are going to do. We are going to support both the system, common gs and esx import, and we will use typescript for it because if you are using es6, so you should also be providing the typescript interface and typing the type definition for your library.

So, if any typescript project you are writing for the node.Js or the client side, you should be able to provide type definitions for it. Okay, so we will take a look, the basic things before publishing any npm module. So, first of all, you should have a npm account. Npm account means you should be able to login like you can do the sign in and you should be able to create a package. So I do have my account just try to see.

If I can do, I don’t have password on the system, so you should be able to do a login right. So how you can you can do all these logins using just simply npm login, okay here it will ask you your username. So if you have account, then you would be able to provide it and your npm password enter password. When you create your account, you should be getting it and your email id okay. So I am logged into this repository to this registry.

It’s npm global registry. Here I can publish my public project, a public library or private library. Okay, now coming to the code code, can be as simple as basic type script code or basic javascript code. What I am doing is, I am creating the build for common json eses es6 support. So I am using the typescript here if you can see the package.Js the definition here, I am using the type config right so few things which you just need to take care.

While you are publishing a typescript package, because you are writing code in typescript, you will be uh exposing the interface all the type definitions. So you should always make the declaration. True four types of packages – and this emit metadata decorations, experiment and decorations if you’re using any third-party module, they may need these flags as a tool so that you can expose the typings used by those modules and target is 2015 module system.

Is this strict true? So you will not be using any everywhere. You will be defining the types. These are the compiler options which you have defined and what you are including and type root. You will be adding a type root so in in index.Ps on your both the packages and output directory. When the compilation typescript build is done, you will get a liv esm, okay, so this is the kind of utility you are going to build.

Don’t treat these library as that they are. You are going to get an output as a ui, it’s just a cli library or some kind of utility and you’re just writing those classes which whoever is going. The end user is going to import this module and you you will be using these classes to execute some function, so your code can be as simple as just a simple like this functions, calculator or anything. Also.

I should consider that I am just exposing these two things. One is a function and one is a class okay. Now what i’m doing is, first of all the package.Json definitions and typing typing.Json, these two things you have to take care here. I will be supporting both the module system esm and here this cgs common gs and esm modules. So for common gs, this is another typing.Json. I will just extending the ts config, and I will be just overriding.

These two attributes in my compiler config, which is a model system, will be config and output directory for uh compiler types compiler will be cgs, so i’m using common js here here, i’m using esm. Okay, esm and cgs both outputs – I will be get when I do npm rental, so I did already npm install when I do npm run build for this particular code. So I i’m trying to get the build for both here. I’r executing both the things by passing both the configs in the tsc so as mentioned, output directory is different for both output directory and output directory for this ts, config is different.

So if you see the lib right, it’s a cgs common gs right. So if you take a look on to the index.Js, it is exporting like this, so whenever I wanted to use it, I will. However, I do it on hello equal to consider. This is a hello.Js file or library, hello. Okay, so I will just importing npm install uh this library name and then I will be able to install this package, something like this from that library.

Okay, this this library is just exporting one class and I will be getting it like this, so it is exporting, say hello and the class. So i’m getting two things from here: uh class, hello and the say hello function, so I will be able to import them. Something like this, like commonjs module way where you just use, require and in the require this particular module. Commonjs module is exporting two things module so how we do it module exports.

But here we are exporting two things say hello and hello, so you can selectively get either hello or say hello or both while you just require it. So you can write your code and you will be able to require. Similarly, if I just take a look on to my esm here, I will be getting the export import syntax right, so it is exporting two things. So what I can do is either you can just use import everything as uh.

All from this module, like uh module, name library name right now, I can just do – is everything dot here? I will just use the hello in my code or like everything, dots here. This is, how will I use, or I can just use import selective import either. Just like say, hello or hello, wrong library name, which i’m going to publish okay, and when you just put a library name, it will look into the node modules before, because you will publish this module, then you will install it.

This module will be available in the node modules and when you do it something like this, it will look inside a node modules inside index.Ts and it will find okay. Yes, I got the definition of hello and clo, so it will import that. Similarly, we can just do a selective impact input for this commonjs module here here you will just uh const like get everything constructs equal to, you can say, require this library name and then you can just do a dot around it and you can get see hello Or you can just get the hello okay, so this is the different way of importing exporting things, and i’m supporting my library, my library, supporting both things right before that you can also write your test coverage and all these things you can write.

So all the setup is done here. You can just look at the code if you want here, I have package.Json. So what is minimum thing to require to publish on the package to npm? Nothing, you just need a code. You don’t even need a repository, because npm is putting the repository what you have defined in the configuration. It is not saying. Okay, you just need to have a repository, but obviously, if you are publishing something we will be managing the version, so we create a github track tags and all and then from there we run a ci cd which indirectly publishing the module to the npm.

Now the data modules are also there, so you might be publishing the same module on the github as a getter module. So what I did is, I just did npm login, okay and one. The name of the package is test package right. So if you just look at the test package globally, there may be 100 package already there with name test package, but package name is unique, so I will be using my username as a prefix. So for tksarma, this test package is unique right right.

So i’m just putting my alias this is you can say the scope is my username or my own repository there i’m putting test package okay. So you have to select the name wisely. So i’m putting a test package in my repository and it is a public package. So, first of all, we have already done npm in it. What we need to do is, after once we are done. Npm init. We can just let’s try to do and claim publish so here you have to take care of publishing this package as the public package, so I have already written these instructions here how you are going to publish a package okay, so you just need to provide this Access public and if your package is already published, then you have to manage the versioning here.

I have a package.Json here. If the package 2 1.2.2 is already published, npm publish x is public, so you can see it is now published mobile package and it will publish the version latest version and now it is successful. I don’t see any error, and this is now package is available. You can just locate it or I can just show you okay. So this is my package name and it’s a public package so while defining it as a npm install npm, install minus minus save, you have to use this particular name.

Add that tk semaphore slash test package. The scope of this is around this okay, so my package name is unique. I don’t need to worry about the conflict you can see now you have to link it with some repository, so all these instructions you are specifying in your package.Json. The repository author registry registry is npm registry. It is common global repository, the repository url, because the same configuration will be published on the npm repository here.

You will see the link uh, the repository of the page. All the descriptions which you provide in the package.Json will be published on the npm site, and here is a description. Okay main will be the index.Js for commonjs and for the modules it will be index.Js in the esl. Okay, I just need a build instruction. Simply npm run build, so it will just generate a build for esm and cgs. Both and rest. You can do the testing and all these things length length fixed because you are, you might be writing a huge amount of code for a library.

So you need to take care of the linting library, uh linting testing testing coverage. You should be writing good code for this okay, so you can see see the author publish config repository and all right now, if I did npm publish, I did nothing. I just have a package.Json and you can create a package.Json using npm in it, and you can just provide the username basically tk server. Okay, there, you can initialize your uh basic package.

Json with the tksm as a username for the scope, okay, so publishing something to uh. I can say: npm is quickly very easy. You just need to have account. Second, you just log in npm, login and then publish npm login. Just you have just have a username password and your package will be published same as like this okay. Now, what? If I want to publish the same package to a gator module, okay, few things for the github module, it’s like a same process, but now what we are going to have, we are going to have it.

We are going to target github, only not npm as a publisher right. So few things which you need to change in your code is the publish config. So what published config is published, config is saying that now publish it will be targeting npm module, npm github, so it will be pointing to this domain npm.Package.Json.Com, and your repository name should be valid because before publishing, it will look at your github.

This is the username. Okay, do you have this repository there? The name of the package can be received, okay repository and you are now in the depend just just plug in with these things, so I already have this package.Get.Json with all the changes. So what we do is we will just rename it to package.Json and rename the existing one. Here I already have all the changes published config repository and the basic things, the package name and all it should be unique.

Okay and types types will be available in index dot d, dot ts, which is same in earlier version. Also in the package location, we were having lib integra dot d dot ts. So if you can see here here, I have whatever the code I have written. These are the types available for it, so whenever you import this package in the typescript project, where it will look for the default definition, typing is in the index.

Ts. So if you are using these classes, see hello and all these things, then it will look for the default typings here. Okay, the name is, it is expecting as a string if you are importing this library and passing name something else, and it will give an error because the typings are in the index.D index: dot d: dot, ts, okay, okay, so let’s get ready for publishing it to The github module, so what we need to do after doing all the changes, let’s rename it to existing package rotation to something, and here we can rename it to package.

Json okay. So it’s saying we have all the definitions here also, I will be publishing this library for both cgs and esm. Okay and library files will be in the live. The same instructions build a notch, only the publish configuration. The repository should be that available already, and I have this – is a typescript package. So if, if we talk about what is needed for the typescript library, okay, obviously you just need to have a typescript uh in the dependencies like.

I have a lot of things because i’m doing a testings and all these things – nyc moca, chai bluebird. All these things I need. But if you are writing a simple package without test and coverage and all then you just need to have a typings node.Js or a minimal typescript like here, okay, otherwise, once your package is published, if you see the dependencies dependencies are published here, you can see it.

These are the dependencies, and these are the dev dependencies – try not to increase by these too much, because your packet should be lightweight and you should not have a dependencies and on too many things too many external package try to write more on your own code. Okay, now, first of all, if we just go there, how to publish a github package, so you just need to have a github account that a basic thing, and now you can just follow the basic instructions npm login.

Okay, here is the command which you have to little bit careful about. You just need to log in first of all with the registry, it is npm login registry this and follow the prompts like this. Here I change the registry right now. It is targeting to npm.Package.Github.Com. So it is not seen as your npm login, and here, if you have two factored authentication enabled, then you have to pass your personal access token.

Okay, most probably yes, i’m logged in now. This is about when you wanted to use it. Okay. What I can do is, I can just figure the simple instructions: npm publish, okay, let’s see if we get any errors, so I think I bumped up the version, so it’s packaged or decent. So currently, the version is this: you can change this to one dot, one. So it is also following the same instructions, and now your one dot one is published.

Okay, it is quickly straightforward. You just did npm login. Just you just need to specify what you are targeting the registry is this right, so you will be targeting this registry and you are publishing npm package. This is also a public package. You already done. Npm run build so it will just create a live folder with the both the support, cgs and esf. Now we just need to do npm publish same as we are doing for the npm publish right now.

It will just see okay, where you’re logged in i’m logged in with npm, so it will just push this package now. If you wanted to see where it is published, and we can just see at github here, you can see. I have this test package and it is published auto product one right and I just have a dummy, redo file. I will just clean it just to see so if you wanted to use it, then npm install this. You have to use it in your code and this is how you will define it in your package.

Json okay, so your package is published here, 1.4.1 right, and so when you have a github package, you will just use the you can use the github actions to actually Create a tag for the previous package, so you will have you will maintain the the previous packages also and their code also right, so you can just create a github tag before publishing the new package and you should maintain the consistency of this versioning 1.

1 major miner And patch version – and you should be running all this – you can just configure a basic pipeline like this travis, where you will doing npm install and payment, build, npm, run test, and then npm pack or npm publish what it just needed. It just needed a github token, which you can just use the github environment variables to pass it okay, but here we just talked about how you can just create a basic package or basic library and can publish it to npm and github.

It just matter of your typing or ps, config and the compiler options. What you are targeting you just need to take care of very few things. Declaration should be true, you just define output directory your target and your module system. Module system can be a common js or can be. Es6 is 1020 here. For this I am using common js module pattern. I just creating the different different bundles. So when your package is being imported, you can import it as a requirements: module sorry, common js module where you are just doing a require, or you can use the import export like a es6 module where you can use it.

So the same code base, a typescript enabled where you have the typings defined, can be used as a es6 module as a common js module so most of the packages what they like is they don’t have the type type definitions available. So what they create is they create a type pack type definitions as a separate module right. Are they types? If you see so here around this, you will see type node s react react dom.

So if you have a big library, then you can define the typing separately right. So we have a node and type nodes, so it is providing the type definitions for all the node.Js core library things: okay, okay, so this is all about how you can publish a library written in the typescript and node.Js I mean we are just writing typescript and Javascript and you can publish it for the common json es6 module thanks.

Everyone thanks for reading. Please like subscribe, my blog, if you like the article

Top 10 Restaurant Marketing Strategies That WORK in 2020 & Beyond | Start A Restaurant Food Business

Today we’re going to be talking about the Top 10 marketing strategies for your food and beverage restaurant. So then that way, You can have lineups out the doors people begging to give you money because of how much They want to have your restaurant and your offerings A lot of times. We are spending thousands Of dollars getting people to be able to do our Instagram write captions for us create Content for us, Actually, you know what check out this article Here We’re talking about how do you create a month? Of content, all in one day by yourself, without paying thousands of dollars for these different Agencies that we’re talking about Anyways today we’re going to be talking.

About these top 10 strategies that are going to be timeless, for you We’re not talking about something, that’s been Working in the past, We’re not talking about something. That’s working, In 2017,,’18,’19, whatever the case may be, We’re talking about strategies, that’s going! To be timeless that you can be able to use for years to come So make sure you guys buckle up and start Taking notes because we’re going to be diving right in The number one marketing strategy are review.

Sites review sites like Yelp and Google, Because when we are deciding where to eat, There are three places that we look at First of all, is the word of mouth. Second, is through that restaurant’s social Media platform And thirdly, it is through review sites According to a very, very prestigious study. More than 35 % of the people that are deciding where to eat they go on and review sites. Before they make that decision, And what that means is that a lot of the times If you do not pay attention with how intentional you put up your content, if you do not pay Attention to engage with your feedback and with your reviews, then you’re missing out A lot of customers and potential people that are going to be able to enjoy your food and Beverage establishment In today’s world review sites play such a Crucial role in people’s decision-making process, So just think about the last time you chose Where to eat, You probably went on your mobile, You probably searched up the restaurant and The first thing that probably popped up would be the review site.

You read it And if it’s no good, then the review site Would be reviewing similar restaurants around the area And in turn you are so unforgiving. You would just click on that. Competitor’s Restaurant And when you click into it and you see a 4.5 star or you see a 3.5 star And you read some of the comments and you’re Like “, Hey, you know what They actually have really cool offerings. But their service is not that great, But hey, you know what Their owner is actually replying to it and They have a legitimate reason of why it is at 3.

5 stars.” And in turn, you’re going to be able to actually Make that decision right there and then This is the power of review sites Like it or not. This is what people rely on When they have a decision to make whether they come and consume at your restaurant or Your competitor’s restaurant, So if you have a bad review on your site, Make sure you guys reply to that If you have a good review, make sure you reply? To that as well, So how do you reply to bad reviews You’re, like “, You know what I can actually acknowledge when people say My stuff is good, but how do I reply to a bad review?”? Well, if the bad review is warranted, make Sure you guys acknowledge that and provide a solution to fix that, For example, if someone came into your restaurant Waited for 45 minutes and told you that they had a bad experience.

That’s the reason why They gave a two-star, then! Yes, you can own up to that and say “! Sorry about your experience! Sorry about this Because of the fact that our chef got into An accident he didn’t come in on time and that’s why we were super short-staffed that Day In the future, we’ll make sure that we let Our customers know so that way they can manage their expectation a little bit better.”.

That itself is a legitimate response and people Are much more forgiving if it’s authentic to actually what’s happening and people are Actually owning up to their mistakes, On the other hand, if this bad review was A troll, if that all they’re saying, is giving you a one-star saying they disliked their Customer service – and they didn’t really say too much, then you know what Feel free to troll back in the reviews.

Tell them “ Hey! You know what, If you want to try out our competitors here, Is the address of our competitor.”, Something along the lines to show the character? Of your business to show the other people that you’re not scared and you’re, confident In your food, offering That’s how you’re going to be able to take Care and take your review sites and intentionally provide that experience for your customers, So in turn giving them a much better decision-making.

Process So now that we know the importance review, Sites make for a customer’s decision-making. We need to have much more reviews. Okay And a lot of times how you get more reviews is by incentivizing Your customers, Whether if, for example, they write your view, Then they get an appetizer right, an honest review And when you’re able to incentivize your customers, To get something in return for them to write; something; that’s honest about your food and Beverage establishment a lot of times, they’re going to write their reviews.

Ask your customer to write your review And when you ask them to write your review. They’re much more prone to be able to write for it. When you ask you shall receive okay, If asking doesn’t work, incentivize them with An appy with a free drink with a dessert, whatever the case may be. This itself is a really really underrated. Marketing strategy that not a lot of people use So make sure when you guys go out there to Market for your food and beverage establishment to always incentivize people to write reviews, For your site, Because when it comes down to it, would you Choose someone that has a four-star review with only two feedback, or would you be able To choose some restaurant with a 3.

5 star, but has 4,000 reviews That itself is much much more authentic when There’s more reviews for your food and beverage establishment, The second marketing strategy for your food And beverage is to have amazing, beautiful photographs, And what I mean by that is so many restaurants. Actually skip out on this fact: They actually just take their iPhones. They Just go around their shop and just take the pictures of their food, their restaurants, And they just post it online.

This itself does not work in today’s age. A lot of our customers once again, the decision-making Process really comes back down to how pleasantly they interact with your food and beverage. Establishment on their phones – Okay, That’s because when we are always outside We’re trying to figure out where to eat with our friends with our loved ones. We re on our phone trying to figure that Out And if the pictures does not do the real thing, Justice, then, how are people going to be able to actually know and want to or be tempted? To come and try out your place at all, They won’t be tempted, So make sure you invest in a professionally Done shot Because at the end of the day, if you already Invested tens of thousands of dollars on renovating your shop in marketing in equipments in Hiring staff: what is another few hundred bucks for professional shots of your menu? Of your interior of your staffing, This itself goes a long wait.

So do not oversight! And underrate the importance of professionally-made photographs And having a beautifully set of pictures does Go a long way Because, for example, if I want to be able To wine and dine my significant other, and if I’m able to see that the core of how the Place looks like, and then I’m going to be able to see whether this is fitting for that Occasion And if it is, then it allows me to have more Information to be able to make a decision, which is the reason why it’s so important, For you to be able to invest in a professionally-shot set of pictures not only of your food but Also of your interior, And, of course, when you have all these professionally-shots Done, not only can you put it on your website review sites, but also your social media.

Also any of your marketing campaigns And that’s exactly what we do at 720 Sweets Every single time we take professionally-made Shots when we have new flavors when we have new promotions And we are able to recycle all these photos, And repurpose them for different outlets and repurpose them. So then that way people can And are able to see how amazing our food looks And, in turn, that itself draws in a lot more Customers, because of appealing pictures So once again do not ever cheap out on professionally-done Pictures, The third marketing strategy – that’s going To work for your food and beverage shop is your website and your SEO And what I mean by that is website needs to Always be up to date, When you are thinking about “, Hey, you know, What It’s fine, I’m just going to do my website! By myself And guys it can be outdated or whatever the Case may be, it doesn’t have to be professionally made.

”. I strongly suggest you to think otherwise, And the reason for that is because, when like I was saying when people are doing research on where to eat, they’re going to go on the Review site they’re going to go on your social media and they’re, going to go onto your website And when they come through your website and They see pictures are out of date. They see friction They’re, trying to figure out where your location Is and they can’t find your location They’re, trying to check out what you have To offer – and it’s completely out of date, they’re not going to have a pleasant experience And when they don’t have a pleasant experience.

They’re going to check out something else, This is your opportunity to impress your customers And, at the end of the day, you spent tens Of thousands of dollars renovating the interior of your food and beverage establishment. What is another $ 1,000 $ 2,000 for your website. A lot of times, websites are not up to date. For restaurants And when they’re not up to date, your customers Will go to your competitor’s website and they’re going to be able to have much more pleasant, Experience And when they do they’re going to choose To eat at your competitor’s over yours And key thing to note is that your website, Needs to be compatible with mobile nowadays In today’s world.

Many many people I would Say majority of the people are on their phones, scrolling and trying to figure out where to Eat And when they go on your website, it needs To be compatible with your phone, not just the desktop Okay, So this is something that you must note down And when you’re thinking about what to include Into your website always include directions to your website always include your menu.

And always include your contact information in case they want to call you for any questions. Or to make a reservation? Okay, These are the three key elements for your Website Now, when we’re talking about website we’re Talking about SEO as well, What is SEO SEO is search engine optimization. What that means is that if someone goes online, On Google and they search for best ice cream in Vancouver 720 Sweets would pop up because We are able to actually put those keywords into our website And in turn, when Google searches the most Relevant website of best ice cream in Vancouver, then 720 Sweets pops up.

If you’re confused about. How do you do SEO? Find a professional to help you get the foundational elements embedded on your website. So, for example, when people search for your Restaurant name, you would pop up When they search for your specific cuisine. Your website will pop up And if they search for anything, that’s relevant To you and your restaurant, your website will pop up as well. This is what we mean by SEO and this itself Would allow you to show up a lot more in front of your customers And the more people that are able to go and Land on your site and the more people that have a pleasant experience with your website, They are going to make sure they’re going to convert into your customers, So make sure do not oversee the importance.

Of having a properly done website with proper SEO for your food and beverage establishment, The fourth marketing strategy for your food And beverage establishment is social media. Like I was saying earlier, this is the top Area and platform that people use to decide where to eat. So, for example, when me and my wife decide Where to eat, we’re always on social media, We’re on their platform scrolling through Where we should eat, because this act as a digital menu for us to decide and a lot of Times we save all these different pictures of amazing-looking food And every time when we’re thinking about For example, a brunch place, then we open up our saved archive and then we click on The Benedict that we really enjoyed because it looks so visually stimulating, We click on it.

We see that it’s from a certain restaurant In Vancouver and then we go to that restaurant because of the picture. So what that means is the importance of social Media is that it really dictates how we shop nowadays So make sure that we are actually spending Quality time and nurturing our customers by posting out beautifully appealing pictures Of your food, Okay Or you can post pictures of how people feel When consuming your food offerings right, So this is all stuff that you can actually Post on your social media to engage with your customers, If you have trouble finding about what I’m Talking about finding content to write about or finding content to, post check out my article Right here We talk about how do you create 30 days of Content in just one day, Nowadays, people use social media to decide.

Where to eat so do not ever neglect this platform at all, So for the more advanced users on Instagram Okay, instead of posting pictures, you can actually post articles of how you prepare your Food or how you shop for your food and something that is a little bit more engaging aside from Appealing pictures And other very, very important and effective Tool to use is IG stories. Instagram stories. You can actually show how you actually go.

And purchase ingredients, You can show how the chef prepares the food Before the service, So then that way, it’s much more behind the Scenes much more exclusive and much more insider feel A lot of times. You can actually use more Interactive features of Instagram as well such as stickers and ask them “, Hey, know: What What do you think about the plating of this Food today?” Start a poll, so then that way people can Actually engage and when they are able to engage, they feel much more connected with Your place and they feel like that they are able to make a change in your restaurant, offering As well, Try reposting your customers’ posts.

Your Customers’ journey, because that allows you to show much more, that you have people who Love your product, Okay, And this itself adds to that social proof. Element to your food and beverage establishment At the end of the day make this whole process. Fun and make it engaging because that’s how your customers would be able to connect with You and your restaurant And in turn, they’re going to be able to decide To choose you over your competitors, because you much more engaged with them.

The fifth marketing strategy that you should Definitely, focus on is word of mouth By far, this is the most important strategy. Out there And a lot of times what other people say: About your restaurant has much more weight and strength than what you say about your Establishment, which is the reason why you need to be super intentful when creating this Whole customer journey, So every single touchpoints you should be Intentful with that, And what I mean by touchpoint, is how people Interact with your brand, What is that experience like from the moment? That they hear about your brand to the moment that they do research on your brand online.

How does that look? How does your review sites look? How does your social media look? How does your website look? These are all different touchpoints, which Allows people to have a certain experience and a certain feeling for your food and beverage. Establishment, so whenever there are any conflict or any resistant and friction that can happen So, for example, if people are trying to walk By and look for your restaurant, but the signages are not there and it doesn’t look good or That people have difficulty finding your signage.

That itself is something that you can improve. On That itself is a touchpoint which you can Improve on and in turn, when you improve on all these different touchpoints that itself Allows your customers to really praise how well and how good of an experience they had. With your food and beverage establishment, So that itself allows you to be able to constantly Improve in delivering a better experience for your customer And in turn this becomes a fly wheel cycle, Better experience that you serve the better Than word of mouth is The better the word of mouth, the more customer Comes to you And that itself is an amazing marketing strategy.

For your food and beverage shop, The sixth marketing strategy is to host events. At your food and beverage shop If, for example, your restaurant has down Times then, make sure that you fill those down times with events, Try reaching out to other establishments or Other talent or other suppliers or small business talent that can actually come in and provide A certain service So, for example, for us we invite and collaborate With calligraphy artists to make sure that they come to our spot and host an event And for them it would become a free rent.

Event and they love it because hey know what they have: an establishment which they Can actually host an event at In turn they bring in their own customers. And when their own customers come, then we can actually provide them with our service We’re able to expose our brand to their customers. And in turn, we’re able to cross promote And because of the fact that our place we Are offering events during the slower times we’re going to have this space regardless We’re going to have the sunk cost of paying For rent regardless, Why not promote and use this opportunity to Market to a different new set of customers as well, That’s the importance of hosting events is To stay relevant within different industries and within different timeframe, Super important to be able to host events.

Because it’s almost a zero cost to you. Okay, That’s the importance and effect of running A proper event all the time for your restaurant. So now that you know the importance of hosting Events at your food and beverage place it’s important to find people who want to host The event And how do you find these people Go on and meetup.Com Meetup.Com allows you to find events that Are happening locally around your area And you can actually reach out to these people.

Who are hosting events and offer your place either for free or at a fee or offer them An arrangement where every attendee that attends they charge them a drink or dessert or a appy Or whatever the case may be, So then that way, you can actually compensate Part of your cost, Okay, So aside from meetup.Com, sometimes we utilize Facebook groups, Facebook marketplace or we go on to Instagram and find different small Business people who actually need a place to host events So, for example, calligraphy classes, art, centers, Floral classes, a lot of these different talent need a place to be able to host events and That’s how we’re going to be able to grow and cross promote within their customers and Our customers, The seventh marketing strategy that worked Wonders for us is PR.

Okay, What I mean by PR is having a very prestigious Outlet featuring your food and beverage establishment, Why do we even want PR PR gives you social credibility? It gives you credibility because someone A publication media outlet that is well-known within your city is featuring you and that Has a lot of weight when it comes to how people perceive your food and beverage establishment For us, we got publication from one of the Biggest publication within our first two months of opening and in turn we were able to generate A lot of buzz because we were featured by this really well-known publication.

So, in turn, aside from this social credibility, You can actually use this piece as a marketing blog for you, a marketing campaign. You can actually run ads with it. You can put it on your social media outlet. And it’s itself really: it compounds the effect of getting PR. Now I know you must be thinking. “, Hey, know, What but Wilson I don’t have tens of thousands of dollars looking for a PR agency,.

” Good news, for you is that a lot actually All our PR is free PR. How do you get free PR? You may be wondering like “ Hey, you know, What How can you get so many publications featuring Your food and beverage establishment?” And I’m going to be telling you how you do That, First of all, have a wow element, an element That allows people to talk about you, Because if you do not have something that Is a talking point, something that is different, something that is out of the world, then why Are people even talking about you So make sure you’re not vanilla, Have some polarity So for us we were having smoke coming out.

Of ice cream Conventional ice cream in a cone does not Have smoke And if you combine something that is visually Pleasing and visually stimulating with a product that is boring, which is just ice cream, that Itself is a huge talking point back five 10 years ago. That’s the reason why we were super super Successful After you have a wow element, then you need To script and compile your own press release And after that you’re going to have your Outreach to the different publication and send it all to them and then you’re going To have this compounding effect, the FOMO effect that we’re talking about, If you guys want to learn more about how to Craft, your free PR booklet.

So then that way you can have prestigious and well-known publications. Featuring your food and beverage establishment make sure you check out in the link below. I put this all in the ultimate course below So check it out below, if you want to know how to craft your free PR, But nonetheless, really really important. Thing is to not neglect the importance of PR, because it is super helpful. It gives you compounding effect for your food And beverage establishment The eighth way of marketing your food and Beverage establishment is working with big vendors And what I mean by that is working with vendors To cater your service and your offering Whether you’d be offering ice cream bubble, Tea food, pasta, sandwiches, whatever the case may be, there’s always a need for your Product and your offering So, for example, for us at 720 Sweets, we catered To a lot of different weddings because we’re offering them a little tiny treat and people Love having our ice cream sandwiches at their wedding, because not only does it look, nice Does it taste good, but also it adds an element of some supporting local, which is the reason And angle that we’re approaching to all these different wedding planners And in turn, we’re able to land a lot of wedding.

Catering deals So within your industry and within your offering Reach out to different people and suppliers and offer them a catering service That itself allows you to diversify in terms Of having not just people dine into your place, but also having a revenue stream that you Can actually count on that is a separate revenue stream, Whether you have people coming into your restaurant Or not, you still have this catering revenue stream all the time and in turn it gives You a certain padding as well for your bottom line.

The ninth marketing strategy is collaboration. This is a marketing strategy that I absolutely Love and as you can see, on 720’s Instagram, we have collaborations all the time, And why do we want to do that? It is because of leverage. What is leverage Leverage is using and actually getting benefit. From your collaboration’s list, your collaboration’s customers, And by you, collaborating with each other You’re able to be able to expose your brand to this brand’s customers and in turn, you’re Going to be able to reach hundreds, if not thousands, of people much more faster than If you were to go out there to look for customers yourself, which is the reason why we always Promote collaborations, To give you an example, we collaborated with An artisan marshmallow company and we created a special ice cream flavor for them and they Had more than 10,000 followers in their Instagram account Because we collaborated our Instagram account.

Grew by 2,000 subscribers. Just because we collaborated and in turn people and their Customers were able to be exposed to our brand that didn’t know about us and they came and Experienced our joint venture of a collaboration of our product and in turn and fell in love. With us, and now they became our friend, which is the reason why I highly highly recommend You to do collaborations with any other type of people or vendors or other establishments.

Who have similar client, avatar and client profile, Then that way you can cross pollinate and Leverage off other people’s customer list, The tenth marketing strategy that I’m sharing With you today is running ads, This is actually one of my least favorite When it comes to marketing strategy, because so many people are running ads, just because Your competitors are running it just because other people are doing it And in turn they don’t have the fundamentals.

Right and if they don’t have the fundamentals right, then the ads are basically just burning. Money. Okay, So that’s the reason why I highly highly Recommend you to make sure your foundations are set understand why you’re running the Ads and understand that running ads is basically trading dimes for quarters, And what that means is you may be spending Thousands of dollars running ads and in turn you may be benefiting what about 10 $ 20,000 But if you’re not aware of the foundations and the structure of how do you structure Your ads and the intent behind it and the objectives of why you’re structuring these Ads then, it becomes very, very difficult and it really really really becomes a pitfall.

Very very soon, But nonetheless, nowadays, on the flip side, It is super cheap to be able to run ads, especially on Facebook and on Instagram and on Google Ads, if you know what you’re doing because of the fact that we can actually hyper-target People, And what does that mean? It is because we can actually target people That live within five kilometer radius of us, that loves Japanese food and that traveled To Japan recently We can actually target people to that specific Of a degree and show them that you know what we are: an authentic, Japanese restaurant.

Do you miss Japan, Come and try out our latest, offering We can actually market and target these people. Nowadays And that’s the importance And that’s why, in today’s world, it’s so Important to be able to actually know how you’re able to run your ads before running Your ads right! So if you want to learn more about running Ads make sure you guys actually learn more about it before you actually spend the money.

Running ads, So there you go The top 10 restaurant marketing strategies, That I’ve shared with you These are the timeless strategies. The platforms might change, but the principle Remains the same So if, in the future, the platforms have changed, Instagram is no longer the thing no longer the king, no one is on Instagram the new Platform, You can utilize the same principle and that’s The beauty of this whole thing that I’m sharing with you, If you guys, find value in this, I’m sure you’re Going to find value in the link below, because I talk about how do you build your restaurant From A to Z, We’re talking about how do you find your customer Demo, how do you find your winning matrix, how do you negotiate free rent and how do You choose a perfect location to much more marketing strategies, Everything that I’ve learnt in the last 10 Years, I’ve put it down in the ultimate course down in the link below.

You’ll have to look through the admin and select the site.

You can select all the different sites up here. Okay, so just go through it, it’s good! This is a lot more of a visual type tool now with the new dashboard that Google’s released probably dumbing it down a little bit for the everyday user, which is probably a smart thing for Google to do so. Anyway, it’s basically giving you a snapshot of the behavior of your website over the past 14. You can get you can do it from daily to 90 days, where you can create your own preset ranges of dates of time, so this basically, this first panel tells you how many users you’ve had in the last 28 days.

Nukid you can upper 290. How many sessions, so that’s how many different sessions from those users, the bounce rate, bounce rate is it depends on what sort of site you have. The bounce rates are usually one page views or less so one page views and that’s it. So that’s how many people go to your site and then just look over the front page without going further and it’s usually fairly high a good website.

I mean this is not to say that this is a good thing, but most websites, even the best of them. 40 to 50 percent and depends on industry, and it also depends what you display a page and when. If you display all your updates on your homepage, then maybe that is not a reason for people to delt dive deeper from on most occasions and what’s the average duration 42 seconds, you know that’s not very long, but anyway, that will change.

If I changed it to seven seven days to 28 as ninety days, it’s all the old changes now this is the time of day now in your Google Analytics in the admin section, you’ve got to make sure they’ve got the right time zone set, but and then Then this will be valid data, so this shows, when most people view the website now this websites in Australia. So this will be recorded for Sydney time so you’ll see that it gets.

It gets data in the evenings in the afternoon, and you know by the time everyone gets to work. It’s usually a little bit quieter, okay, and then it tells you what active you should have got on the site right at that time. Here is the sources, the traffic, organic referral, social media? Other you get also your acquisition reports. You can also dive deeper into those and learn more in this plenty of articles on YouTube.

You know if you wanted to get more information on acquisitions or audience overview is how to build. The audience overview in Google. Analytics would be a thing in searching in YouTube, and then you would then you would change the dates for that. You want to get rid of results in YouTube to the last year, so you want to get the latest version of analytics and that’s how you search for everything online through YouTube or through through Google search.

I always if I’m searching to something in particular information on something I always go into the tools that tells me more information here anytime past year, the same as on Google on Google on YouTube as well as Google search. I always do that. It’s just a habit. You get into and it makes a big difference because who wants to get information? That’s all with information changing so rapidly, and then you get to your referrals.

You know it depends what industry you’re in and where you get most your traffic from and then from the country I mean obviously from Australia is going to get most of their viewership from Australia. But I know for as an example, she gets quite from all over the world and active users how that’s trending over a period of Thailand, and you can look into the active user report. I’r not going to go deep right into it on how to build goals and values, and all that sort of stuff and conversions, that’s something you can search for online and you can test and then see how that goes.

And then this tells you up here, tells you okay, it’s always the week is always harder percent. That tells you how many people returned, how many people are returning from those and then by the devices. As you can see today, you know three or four years ago mobile was twenty to thirty percent. Now it’s fifty percent and that’s why all of our websites work on mobile phones as well and tablets are still fairly low, and then it gives you the most popular pages over that period of time.

You can also create pages report. You can also customize your dashboard on what other things you’d like to see on there and there’s also some also some pre-built dashboards. So it’s all about recognizing and understanding your user behavior, and then you use this in concert with the Google search console, which gives you some deeper understanding of where your appearing in search results, what keywords or that sort of stuff.

So there I thought I’d just share a little bit of an overview of the new Google Analytics home dashboard, that’s available now for all users. Thank you and have a good day.

Real Estate Blog Ideas: Ubersuggest

So, if you’re overwhelmed by the Google Keyword planner tool, no problem at all, this will not give you the popularity or how many people are searching for these keywords every single month. But it’ll give you an awesome awesome resource to find a ton of keywords that you can use in your blog post or your social media posts.

So let’s go ahead and get started. So just pick a word any word that you want. So I’m just going to start off with the city and then you know your farms, so you’ll know kind of a little bit about what’s popular and then you can start entering keywords and then just drilling down from there. So let’s go ahead and show you how to do that, so I’m going to type in my normal one is always so Rancho, Palos, Verdes and suggest.

And then, when you scroll down it takes a little second here. But when you scroll down you’re going to get tons and tons of suggestions, so this is really a goldmine, especially for blogging. So, let’s see so we have so many okay. So it’s like Palos Verdes, weather, zip code, hotels, City Hall, beach, hiking, news accidents abbreviation that’s important because a lot of people don’t call it Rancho Palos Verdes.

They call it RPV so or PV. So it’s little things like that. These are all things that people are searching for so building and safety breakfast with Santa. That would actually be an awesome one for Christmastime. Let’s talk about the bluffs: let’s see: there’s City Council, Church City, jobs, demographics, so dog park, I mean you can see we’re only on D here. So if I scroll down, there’s, like literally words for every single letter of the alphabet and if you go all the way down at the bottom, there’s even numbers and symbols too.

So it’s really really interesting to kind of see what people are searching for in your community. There’s going to be stuff here that you didn’t even know it. This is really a goldmine. So let’s say if I did rancho palos verdes hiking. What I would do is, I would say: okay, let’s see if we can drill down a little bit you’re, not always going to have a drill down opportunity. But let’s see what comes up.

So if I go to suggest it’s going to go through its little update process again real fast and let’s see if we can get anything that’ll come up for house parties, hiking here, perfect okay, so we have hiking trails, hiking Maps, hiking the parks, beach, hiking shipwreck Hike shipwreck hiking trail, so basically, what I would do is, I would actually make if I did a really long, foreign blog post on Rancho Palos, Verdes hiking.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DMwBFuTOV9Y

These would be some of my headings, so my h2 headings we talked about. This is what where I would pull those from, because obviously this is what people are searching for, so give the people what they want. Okay, I will see you in the next lesson and I’ll link above where you can get this awesome tool.

Best Outreach Methods For SMMA in 2020

I should had already tell from the title and the introduction today we’re going to be talking about outreach for your social media agency.

Now, for those of you do not know who, I am, I am Joshua Tango George, I own a social media agency called brand pannier here in the Netherlands, and they also have a coaching business where I basically help you guys. You know start and scale your own marketing businesses and, like it’s literally one of the most common questions I get from those who are just starting out with the coaching, but also from you guys, you’re just reading the articles and follow me on Instagram or are in The the free Facebook community is what is the best method of outreach and, like there are so many lists, I googled it obviously and to see what other people are saying on this topic.

The reason for that was obviously for keyword, ranking, etc, and there are so many articles, alright, the best method for outreach do this to get your face, clients immediately. This is the only method that you need like this is the golden method and all the other methods are like worthless and also like that, but it there is no real. Like no golden method. There is no like, like one method, that that soars like it better than every other method, and there is no best method of outreach.

You know for this year or you know last year you know it’s it’s it’s not the method itself, but it’s the person who you are okay and what I mean by that is. It depends on who you are as a person or you introvert. It’s all you extroverted, do you like being in front of the camera? Are you good, like you know, with like, let’s like on the phone, you know, are you someone who is really good with writing? You know closing copy.

Are you so on that write? Really good emails, are you someone that is reaching out to english-speaking countries or clients when that is not your native language? How fluent are you in English? You know, are you reaching out to people in your own language and so on and so forth? There are so many factors that play a role in this that it’s you can’t really say like this is the be-all end-all method for our reach, for your social media agency.

Okay, now there are like I said there are so many different ways of reaching out to all the agents or the clients and businesses, and just like off the top. My head, like I said, loom article outreach, you got emails, you’ve got cold, Facebook, outreach, you’ve, got cold, call and you’ve got an Instagram. You’ve got LinkedIn, you’ve got inbound beats where they come to your way, like you have like a case study funnel or you.

I post contents on social media like LinkedIn articles or blog articles, you post in facebook groups, and they come to you. They schedule a free discovery. Call this profile funnels as LinkedIn photos. There’s a freelancer websites. There are so many ways of reaching out to potential clients, and what you just need to figure out for yourself is what type of person are you are you introverts or extroverts? Are you good with, I said, are you good filming yourself? Are you good with cold calling, you know, are you showing that likes to pick up the phone and bring like a hundred numbers a day, or would you rather like sit behind your laptop and send out emails? Would you, rather, you know, engage with all the people that, like my other people, or help people out in Facebook groups, so they come to you? Would you rather like build up a case, so the answer shock a bunch of money at it and you know like listen, I have to pay traffic, you know, get you inbound leads, etc.

Okay, so all depends on who you are as a person and where you are, you know in your in your agency life. You know. Obviously, if you have the cash flow and you can leverage your cash, where you know, as opposed to your time, you can actually run ads and run as to a case study or a so. It’s like a mini webinar to get your inbound leads, or you can just list your own straight of legion ads for your own agency.

You know if you come if you are promoting lead generation as a service that why not just run leads for yourself. The Royal Legion ads for yourself get leads for your agency and in closing now, if you spend let’s say four or five hundred on lead ads for your agency, you get X, amount of discovery, calls X amount of leads and you close a client for the thousand. A month, you’ve already ran a profit and you’ve got profitable ads.

You know your campaign was profitable. Okay, but if you haven’t got the time the money, it’s a leverage, you will need to leverage your time, which means that you will need to do manual outreach or you know, I’m seeking get creative and get like appointment. Sensors that you know like basically get Commission on every appointment that they set and stuff like that, lay the draw ways around it. Obviously, but you know you need to just figure out that if you can’t leverage your money, you need to leverage your time or vice versa.

If you haven’t got the time where you’ve got the money, you obviously need to leverage your money rather than your time and then, like I said you know, there is no golden method. There is no be-all end-all method to do outreach or to get clients. Every method is effective. If you do it, you know, if you do it enough times, if you know basically crunch up those numbers, if you do like, let’s say you doing, Facebook outreach, angle, 2 and one method.

Thank you. One message every day like that is literally like 30 messages a month. That’s not going to add up. You know, you’re not going to get a high conversion rate with that, but if you, you know, send out, let’s say 80 or hundred messages a day. You know chances are that one of those messages will be with a client potential client that is actually interested in what you have to offer. Okay, so this all comes down to your numbers.

Okay, so if you let’s say you need ten Scully calls to close one clients, that is a conversion rate of 10 percent, and then you need to figure out okay. How, if that is, if those are your numbers, how many clients or potential clients do you need to reach out to to actually get those tennis chronicles that might be 300 messages or if you are really good with yours with your appointments, then you might only need, Like 20 messages to get those 10 meetings to get that one clients, okay or you – might only need 2 meetings to get one client.

You know if you have a conversion rate of 50 %, a closing rate of 50 %, and then you know you only need to discovery, calls to get that one clients, and you know for two incoming calls. You only need to send out, let’s say or whom, the message! Okay, so you need to know those numbers and then from there you need to just figure out for yourself what type of person are you? What method of Irish do you like, then? You just need to go all in on that and be consistent with it.

Okay, not just once a day like listen, you need to do it or whom good times a day, if you you know, if you’re just on outside, you really want to face clients, you can’t leverage your cash flow. You will need to do manual. Outreach. Are you building to spend some time on it because businesses they do not know who you are okay, they will not come to you when you are starting out, you need to go to them and you need to convince them that you’re, the right person for the Job, okay, so hope you got sort of this hope you enjoyed this article if you did make sure to leave this article a thumbs up and subscribe to the blog for more for those of you that are really serious about starting your own social media marketing agency And you basically want guidance on how to do it.

You want to cut your linen cave in half and rather than spinning your wheels actually get guides from those who actually do achieved it and I’ve done it. Then. I also have my own coaching program. I will link it in the scripture box down below, if you’re on the fence about it or you’re unsure. If I’m right fits, you know for you as a coach, then we can also just know schedule.
