Alright, so let’s come over here to the main Facebook part, I’m going to show you guys exactly how to Create your Facebook page if you’re, starting completely from scratch for like Jason, have a personal profile, But I don’t know how to create the business page. Let’S walk you through how to do that. Alright, so we’re going to Do is click up here on this down arrow in the top right and we are going to go to a create page okay.

So now we can go through, and this is really easy. Facebook’S made it super easy for us, They’re going to say: hey: Do you want to do a local business or place a public figure entertainment? What do you want? I would recommend a public figure because you want to go brand yourself Or if you have a local business or a place, then you can go through and do that as well. But I’m going to stick with a public figure right now.

We’Re going to Do is choose a category, So we just come down here. We choose What best fits our. So we can do you know public figure. We can do entrepreneur, which I believe that’s what I did Blog or chef coach, whatever you guys want to do so, let’s just stay well Just to keep it kind of generic or whatever We’ll just say, public figure right here, Okay, and as far as the name, I like to you, I, like I just used my own name, so I just use Jason Wardrop But let’s say you’re like in real estate.

For example, You might want to say Jason Wardrop And then you know Dallas realtor or Park City realtor like wherever you are located and then Realtors. So people know. Okay, like I know what Jason were drops page is all about. Okay, So we’ll say: Jason, Wardrop and then we’ll say We’ll go with Dallas Realtor right there, okay, because then, when they see like your posts on the news feed, They know like what you’re all about all right.

So now We’re just going to hit get started or you could just leave it your name guys what it’s honestly up to you, your preference. Okay, now We’re going to go through, says upload a profile picture. Okay! Now I think I’ve got one. I’Ve got one right here, so just make this easy. You can just go through Upload your picture now. One tip right Here is whatever picture you use on Like Twitter or Instagram, or any of those other ones make sure you guys use the same picture Because then it kind of like brand, you and people kind of recognize that profile picture mutant.

If you use it a different picture on Every single social platform, it really gets hard to keep it consistent and make sure it’s like a clear head shot. Alright, Nothing like with With you with, like you know, in the background or like that, your dog And then they like people can’t really tell it is people want to see who you are especially on your business, Facebook page Right. You can keep that stuff for your personal profile.

Help maybe like weird pic of you know something else, But with this you want to have a clear head: shot right: Okay, upload a cover photo me to show you guys how to do this here in a second. So we’re just going to skip this for right now and then this will take us to the next step. So we’ve got initially it says now. You can invite your friends guys, And this is an awesome, easy way to go through anything, Just kind of walk you through.

Okay: Here’s how you make your first post, which is fairly simple, and you guys probably ought to know how to do that. Alright, So what you can do now – and you don’t have to invite all of your friends, But you can maybe invite some family members, some people that you know would be interested in you and your business. But you just coming over here and just hit, invite on all these k. Now, I’m not going to invite these people, because This is obviously a demo Facebook page to go through and help.

You learn some of these different aspects, But this is an easy way to go: get your first 100 likes on Facebook without having to spend any money on Facebook ads or anything else right now. What I want to do is show you guys how to change this cover photo right here and how to make one really easily. So what we’re going to do is use a free tool, it’s called canva Canv a.Com, and then you can it’s really cool guys.

Cuz. You can go through. This is create a design, We click on more right here and they have all the dimensions already pre-built for you. So if you want to do like a youtube thumbnail or a Facebook ad Facebook, post, Instagram post, you got all these different options. So if we want to come down here, social media, an email, headers, okay, You got a Facebook event cover YouTube. Thumbnail. You’Ve got all these different one.

Facebook cover This is the one that we’re going to want to use right here. Cuz, the Facebook event Cover is a little bit different than the Facebook page cover right. So we’re going to want to use this one right here so we’ll do. Is click on this and They’ve got some pre-built designs right here, for you guys that really make it pretty cool, So you can kind of come in here. You know: choose these different ones.

They’Ve got a ton of options. They have a few options that I think costs a little bit money, But a lot of these you can honestly go through and use without spending any money. Okay, so it’s really pretty cool. You can just you guys could see this over here on the left. There’S tons and tons of different options and then let’s say we want. Let’S say we want this one right here: Okay, so we can say We’ll, say: Jason, Wardrop, Realty, we’ll stick with that theme right here, okay and they’ll say like Dallas, Realtor.

Okay, then, what we could do is, and if you guys look over here, one thing I tend to do like I added my my picture right here. It’S kind of goofy picture, but I just kind of leave This is. I don’t really need My picture there, because I’ve got a picture of myself right over here on the side. Okay, So what am I do since it’s real estate? I think I’ve got some cool real estate images uploaded over here.

So I might come over here and throw that in there and now you got a nice-looking Cover phone right there, okay! So now, if we hit download Go over here download This, you guys like that, took me literally what 20 seconds to go through and do that. Put my name on there put like hey, I’m a dallas realtor which guys I’m not by the way. Just this is demo right, all right, so that downloaded. So, let’s come back over here to our page.

All we got to do is click on add a cover as cool. You can actually add a little article on here as well, okay, but for this one Just keep it easy, We’re just going to add an image at first, So we’re just going to go: hey upload, a photo or a article, and then this is the one I Believe yep, That’s one We just created so now you guys can see. This is already starting to look a lot more professional And really nice and we haven’t spent any money right like you’re.

Getting your first hundred likes by inviting your friends here. You’Ve got a really nice background image back. Facebook cover photo using canva, canv a.Com. We’Ve got our profile picture right here and guys if I I’m in real estate, if I’m working with high-end real estate, I Probably shouldn’t use a picture of me in a hoodie right. You probably want to have a shirt and a tie like looking nice. You Want to fit the brand fit the you know, whatever you’re going after okay.

So now what we can do is come down here. It says create a username for your page Okay. Now This is really cool because, like see how says facebook.Com four slash, Jason, wardrobe, realtor and then a huge long number, we can actually make it. So it’s a lot easier for people to search so we say create a Username for your page, so we could say: Jason, Wardrop, Dallas realtor. Something like that Cana says hey check and you know it’s good to go.

So we hit crate username and Now the cool thing is is look, we could say hey. These are some of the easy links that people could go to. You could say: hey at the username jason wardrobe, Dallas, realtor Facebook.Com or we could even say facebook.Com for Jason. Wardrop Dallas Realtor, so we just use that URL right there. Now It should go to the page. We just crazy right see this. Oh that’s! That’S right here at this page, Okay.

So now what I want to do is go through and kind of, maybe like make some a few other tweaks here. So I’ve got this paid this post right here at the top, like I showed you guys, So you want to go through and he’d do a little bit of an about you Section you can see here what I did was like: hey guys, my name’s Jason port Drop, I’m your real estate mortgage broker, business growth, automation guy, I’m awesome an entrepreneur.

You can say: hey, there’s a link to my website Message me on Facebook of you, We’re looking to buy or sell a home and just have a few of those different intros there Right.

Okay, just so like it creates that consistent branding And I’m going to throw in this. All this copy and paste text you guys can go to my Facebook page check it out, See I’ll, throw a link down in the description, so you guys can have that so Anyway, and then I’m just going to hit publish now You don’t want to hit, publish And just leave it at that because then what happens is anytime.

You make another post, It’s just going to go down below alright. So what I’m going to do Is click on these three dots right here And I’m going to say: hey pinned this to the top of the page right. So now, if you come back over here to this one, like I did this July 27th of 2016 right now, It’s 2018, and so I like that normally would be like stacked way down in my feed. But what I’ve done is I’ve post this at the very top, so anyone new is going to come in and see this right So anyway, guys.

5 Minute Finance Lesson: Financial Statement Basics

The first thing or three things, rather, that you should teach yourself are the basic financial statements. The balance sheet income statement and statement of cash flows – these three statements are vitally important because they paint the financial picture of your company and help you to evaluate past performance and plan for the future.

So here are the basics to financial statements. In less than five minutes, you mm-hm, hmm. The first financial statement that you’ll need to know about is the balance sheet. The balance sheet shows a company’s assets, liabilities and shareholders. Equity has of a specific date. Its assets are split into current assets, which includes liquid assets such as cash and accounts, receivable and property plant and equipment which are left less liquid assets such as land buildings and obviously, equipment liabilities are also split into current liabilities and long-term liabilities.

Current liabilities are those due within the next year, while long-term liabilities are those due in over a year. So, for example, if you have a mortgage, the portion of the mortgage – that’s due within the next 12 months, would be counted under current liabilities, and the rest of that mortgage would be counted under long-term liabilities. The total assets and total liabilities plus shareholders equity must equal each other.

So if you create a balance sheet and these two numbers don’t match, you’ve made a mistake somewhere and need to go back and check your work. The second financial statement that you’ll need to learn is the income statement, also known as the profit and loss statement. The income statement shows a company’s profit or loss over a specified period of time, and it shows revenues and expenses split into operating and non-operating income operating income starts with sales and cost of goods sold to give the gross profit margin.

It then deducts operating expenses, split into selling expenses and general and administrative expenses tallying expenses – are those expenses directly related to sales and would include things like advertising and sales commissions for your salespeople? Administrative expenses include the cost of running the business that are not directly related to sales, such as office supplies and utilities. The gross profit minus your operating expenses gives you your operating income.

Then you add or subtract the non operating income such as interest to get your net income. The final financial statement that you’ll need to learn is the statement of cash flows. The statement of cash flows is vitally important, as many small businesses failed, not because of profitability issues, but because of cash flow issues. The statement of cash flow shows a company’s inflow and outflow of cash over over a specified period of time.

The cash flow statement is broken into cash flows from operating activities, cash flows from investing activities and cash flows from financing activities for cash flows from operating activities. You start with the net income and then you adjust for non-cash revenue and expenses such as depreciation accounts, receivable and accounts payable for cash flow from investing activities. You include things like the sale of a factory building or equipment and finally, for cash flow from financing activities.

You’Ll include things like the sales or purchases of stock or a distribution of dividends. This gives you your net increase in cash. Add that to the cash you had at the beginning of the period and you’ll know how much cash you have on hand available now. Now that you understand the basics of these three financial statements, you’ll better understand how your company is performing so that you can strategize for future growth.

Introduction to Service Workers

You’Ll learn what a service worker is and what it can do for your apps. A service worker is a client-side programmable proxy between your web app and the outside world. It gives you fine control over network requests. For example, you can control the caching behavior of requests for your site HTML and treat them differently than requests for your site’s images.

Service workers also enable you to handle push messaging now. Service workers are a type of web worker, an object that execute the script separately from the main browser thread. Service workers run independent of the application they are associated with and can receive messages when not active either, because your application is in the background or not open or the browser is closed. The primary uses for a service workers are to act as a caching agent to handle network requests and to store content for offline use and, secondly, to handle push messaging.

The service worker becomes idle when not in use and restarts when it’s next needed. Now, if there is information that you need to persist and reuse a course restarts, then service workers can work with indexdb databases. Service workers are promised based now we cover this more in other materials, but at a high level a promise is an object. These are the kind of placeholder for the eventual results of a deferred and possibly asynchronous computation service workers also depend on to api’s to work effectively fetch a standard way to retrieve content from the network and cache a persistent content storage for application data.

This cache is persistent and independent from the browser, cache or network status now because of the power of a service worker and to prevent man-in-the-middle attacks where third parties track the content of your users. Communication with the server service workers are only available on secure origins served through TLS using the HTTP protocol will test service workers using local host, which is exempt from this policy.

By the way, if you’re hosting code on github, you can use github pages to serve content. Their provision with SSL by default services, like let’s encrypt, allow you to procure SSL certificates for free to install on your server Service Worker, enabled applications to control network requests, cache those requests to improve performance and to provide offline access to cached content. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.

We will explore some things you can do with service workers and related api’s caching. Assets for your application will make the content load faster under a variety of Network conditions. Two specific types of caching behavior suitable for use are available through service workers. The first type of caching is the precache assets during installation. If you have assets, HTML, CSS, JavaScript images so on, and these are shared across your application.

You can cache them when you first install the serviceworker when your web app is first opened. This technique is at the core of application. Shell architecture now note that using this technique does not preclude regular dynamic caching, you can combine the pre cache with dynamic caching. The second type of caching is to provide a fallback for offline access using the fetch API inside a serviceworker.

We can fetch request and then modify the response with content other than the object requested use this technique to provide alternative resources in case the requested resources are not available in cache, and the network is unreachable. Service workers can also act as a base for advanced features. Service workers are designed to work as the starting point for features that make web applications work like native apps, and some of these features are blog messaging API, which allows web workers and service workers to communicate with each other and with the host application examples of this Api include new content notifications and updates that require user interaction.

The notifications API is a way to integrate push notifications from your application to the operating system native notification system. The push API enables push services to send push messages to an application service can send messages at any time, even when the application or the browser is not running. Push messages are delivered to a service worker which can use the information in the message to update local state or display a notification to the user background.

Sync lets you defer actions until the user has stable connectivity, and this is really useful for ensuring that whatever the user wants to send is actually sent. This API also allows servers to push periodic updates to the app, so the app can update when its next on line. Every service worker goes through three steps in its lifecycle, registration, installation and activation to install the service worker.

You need to register it in your main JavaScript code. Registration tells the browser where your service worker is where it’s located and to start installing it. In the background, for example, you could include a script tag in your site’s index.Html file or whatever file you use. Is your applications entry point with code similar to the ones shown here? This code starts by checking for browser support by attempting to find Service Worker as a property in the navigator object.

The service worker is then registered with navigator dot Service Worker dot register, which returns a promise that resolves when the service worker has been successfully registered. The scope of the service worker is then logged with registration, dot scope. You can attempt to register a service worker every time, the page loads and the browser will only complete the registration. If the service worker is new or has been updated, the scope of the Service Worker determines from which path the service worker will intercept requests.

The default scope is the path to the Service Worker file and extends to all directories below it. So if the Service Worker script, for example, Service Worker dot gif, is located in the root directory, the Service Worker will control requests from all files at best domain. You can also set an arbitrary scope by passing in an additional parameter when registering in this example. We’Re setting the scope of the Service Worker to slash app, which means the service worker will control requests from pages like slap slap, slash, lower and slash out, slash, lower slash low directories like that, but not from pages like slash, app or slash, which are higher a Service worker cannot have a scope above its own path.

This is in your service worker file, service worker, dot, j s now thinking about installation. Once the browser registers a service worker, the install event can occur. This event will trigger if the browser considers the service worker to be new either, because this is the first service worker encountered for this page or because there is a bite difference between the current service worker and the previously installed one.

We can add an install event handler to perform actions during the install event. The install event is a good time to do stuff, like caching, the apps your static assets using the cache API. If this is the first encounter with the service worker, for this page, the service worker will install and if successful, transition to the activation stage upon success once activated, the service worker will control all pages that load within its scope and intercept corresponding network requests.

However, the pages in your app that are open will not be under the serviceworkers scope, since the serviceworker was not loaded when the page is opened to put currently open pages under serviceworker control, you must reload the page or pages. Until then, requests from this page will bypass the serviceworker and operate just like they normally would service workers maintain control as long as there are pages open that are dependent on that specific version.

This ensures that only one version of the serviceworker is running at any given time. If a new serviceworker is installed on a page with an existing serviceworker, the new serviceworker will not take over until the existing serviceworker is removed. Old service workers will become redundant and be deleted once all pages. Using it are closed. This will activate the new serviceworker and allow it to take over refreshing.

The page is not sufficient to transfer control to a new serviceworker, because there won’t be a time when the old serviceworker is not in use. The activation event is a good time to clean up stale data from existing caches. The application note that activation of a new serviceworker can be forced programmatically, with self dot skips waiting service workers are event-driven installation and activation events, fire off corresponding events to which the serviceworker can respond.

The install event is when you should prepare your serviceworker for use. For example, by creating a cache and adding assets to it, the activate event is a good time to clean up old caches and anything else associated with a previous version of your serviceworker. The serviceworker can receive information from other scripts through message. Events. There are also functional events, such as fetch push and think that the serviceworker can respond to to examine service workers navigate to the serviceworker section in your browsers, developer tools, different browsers, put the tools in different places, check debugging service workers in browsers for instructions for Chrome, Firefox and opera, a fetch event is fired every time a resource is requested.

In this example, we listen to the fetch event and instead of going to the network, returned the requested resource from the cache assuming it is. Their service workers can use background sync here. We start by registering the service worker and once the service worker is ready, we register a sync event with the tag foo. The service worker can listen to sync events. This example listens for the sync event, tagged foo in the previous slide.

Do something should return a promise indicating the success or failure of whatever it’s trying to do if it fulfills the sync is complete. If it fails, another sync will be scheduled to retry retry syncs also wait for connectivity and employ an exponential back-off. The service worker can listen for push events, push events are initiated by your back-end servers through a browsers push service. This example shows a notification when the push event is received.

The options object is used to customize the notification. The notification could contain the data that was pushed from the service service workers can be tested and debug in the supporting browsers, developer tools. Screenshot here shows the chrome dev tools application panel. There are lots of great resources to help you get started and find out more access them from the materials that accompany this article.

In the lab materials that accompany this article, you can practice working with service workers and learn more about intercepting Network requests.

Amazing Customer Service With Bell Mobility

If you read my Instagram stories anyway, I vlogged a little bit about the fact that the SN that I had was broken and I figured I’d just keep you along for the journey for me trying to get it fixed with Belle. Oh, you know figured if it’s a good experience. That’S sherry! Why not give credit where credit is due, there’s too much negativity in this world and if it turns out to be, you know a bad story.

Well, we’ll just tell the truth and the facts. You know what happened. Oh I’m happy to report, it’s all over and done with, and it was excellent. It’S very very good. Unfortunately, that account, you know no longer is there they can’t hold or made the decision that you know we needed to split, which is okay. I agreed I should be for my own phone, but I still think I want to share this because again, there’s so much negativity out there and that goes for every single telecommunication company.

Everybody there’s always someone that’s mad about something so for once, let’s share good stuff. So there’s my name’s or whatever than now on the 20th of May so this has been a living truth, the 20th of May, and today we are the 13th of June. So I got the phone this one. So when the 20th Maine to the 13th of June, everything affects here’s how the phone came at yeah. I looked good, so the original problem that I sang in for cuz.

It was thunder the one year manufacturer, so we got it an August of last year. So August would be the one year manufacturer that comes with every phone at should I mean if it doesn’t ask? Oh, at least it doesn’t bail anything but when you’re a manufacturer, but it has to be something that you did not do. I was still under that one year manufacturer warranty and I was hiding problems from Lee GetGo.

I had called back in January and the whole thing was that call have to wipe your device in the bluff. That experience wasn’t necessarily that good that I could go through like tech support and he made it kind of impossible because he wanted me to like wipe the phone like while he was waiting on a hold and trying to tell him. You know I have to like sync this to my old phone, because I won’t lose my data that was frustrating.

However, they still open the ticket and I just never sent the phone in cuz. I was like you know what it’s not worth the hassle to not do anything, but I’m not like the beginning of May mid-may. I realized that no long, not only did I have like processor issues, there was a screen problem like it lagged from when I would touch no, I think, you’re trying to type in something and then there’s nothing at all this and like 16 letters would show up And there’s also the fact that the imprint of this keyboard was brought into the screen.

So if anybody out there is younger than like me, so if you’re under than like 35, you probably don’t understand what like burnt into a screen means. But a long time ago, when our computer screens were the CRT things, the big hunk of things, there was a reason why screen savers exist now screen savers are kind of just there to look pretty because that cousin it was a projection and long story short.

You can burn the image into the screen, so if you always had it on like you know that hello or Windows 3.1 screen, because I’m going that far um, it would burn the imprint in there. That happened on this phone, which is not supposed to happen on these LCD displays so by then I was like well, I may as well send it in so I started blogging in I I had to started going along with it, so it was good. I mean this account is you know my Mullins account and I’ve been lucky enough.

This whole time that I’m sharing the account with her and there had to be for myself, though um she did. That was really nice. That’S over other story um, but at the time I was still on the account. So I was always the one that dealt with everything and I don’t know if it helped or not, but our account that we’ve had we’ve had it for eighteen years. That’S a really long time to have it an account and because it was grandfather because it was grandfathered in from alliant to della Lian to everything in the middle.

We ain’t going to be in a small business account because that’s how they could only give you shared lines way back when again and we just kept up with them. Um the sort of over the years has not been bad. It’S called you know, and I was also one that called I’m the one that that made all the deals and figured everything out and whatnot. You know now I have my own phone. I was told that I had to get my own, so I did.

I went with Rogers, not that II mean I just didn’t, have a choice: cuz. Yes, there. It’S a penalty that comes with this phone because it’s the contract. Is it huh? However, I don’t have credit all right, we’re all aware that you know unfortunately invisibility I had to declare bankruptcy. There was no way than that could keep $ 37,000 car. I didn’t know I couldn’t so. I have no credit. I don’t have any credit.

Therefore, I can’t get this phone in this line, transferred over to Bell and open a brand new account and not leave her with the penalty, because I don’t spread it. I can only count whether I want to or not it’s not going to happen, so I had to go with Rogers because well, I have my home services with them, and I’ve had many services of them for like five years now, mostly because the building that I Live in isn’t wired for fiber.

Ah, you can only get Rodgers in this building and we’re not going to go into which company is better. Oh, what it’s a good! So that’s how I ended up getting you know another phone that had to get through Rogers, because I wanted to get my number all my social media, everything that is linked to everything that I’m trying to do um so for us successfully. That’S the hope it keeps going away, it’s linked to my phone number, so I really need to keep it, but the decision was made that I had to pay my own cell phone.

I had to go down so now that that’s out there, this one’s actually up for sale, you want it and it’s brand new. Now let me tell you why, because again we sent the ticket open on May 20th, and I took about a week and they were really helpful, but they had to do was wait for the back office to close off the other order that had been opened in January and then send me the box for me to send the phone in, and there was all these legal papers that I had to sign.

That said that you know I’m okay, if I lose any data on on that whatnot because they do have to reset it. However, I had already factory reset from the s7. Anyway, I’ve moved everything over to the old s6 and whatever complicated I know, and this time it was easy to deal with them. No, I thought it wasn’t in the past. Sometimes it is, you know sometimes just depends on the agent and this time you might have to do with me.

I hadn’t done the DBT classes. I’Ve learned so much I’m going to communicate on how not to get mad and all sorts of things that I handle things. So maybe it was partly the fact that I’m better and not angry or whatnot you I they did understand that I knew it. It was talking about when I told them that, like hey, I love trying for my thing, so they do listen and they sent me the paper and they had all the things a little square.

That said, like all the things that were – and I added in the park that the screen image was burnt in because that wasn’t in there but I hand, wrote it in and signed it and again you just said that lose any data. I can’t keep bail. You know responsible, which is fine. I knew that already, and it said that I had to you know if there was a pin or a password I’d had to provide what it was, but that wasn’t the case because I had factory reset.

I was actually pretty easy to do with an amazing question so off it went. I had a Weedle number now if anybody looks at the articles because I’ll, I might add them somewheres in here, because that was a day where I had to go out on my own okay, that was when the whole fiasco has been that no longer the support Worker everything’s kind of got a do everything on your own and yeah outside is heard. Okay, I’m good in my apartment, I’m good at my job cuz, I’m used to it.

The outside world is scary, super scary. It’S called agoraphobia, but I’m working on it. Okay, I’ve logged my day out cuz. I had to go mail it. The mail counter happens to be so V’s of the road. It’S really not that far. For me, it looks like whatever it got done. I survived I’m still here. All my body pieces are still attached, I’m good. It was a great experience. Do it again someday not right now say it was tough, so send that back in I had a tracking number, which I was able to track and also Bell actually sent me emails.

They sent me an email telling me that they hadn’t received it and, as per our conversation that I had with the agent, I’m not going to say her name. But I have her name here and I think after this I’m going to call Bell – and you know your rikuo’s – why not I’ve worked in call centers, and sometimes it’s great to hear that you know he helped someone instead of how was being yelled at so inner Conversation, it came the fact that some of these things that weren’t working could possibly be my fault and if they have to fix something, sometimes they do, but then the bill the charge for it automatically ends up on the bill.

Now I had a problem with that. Already, if we were at the point where you know my mother’s had had to pay for my own phone bill or whatnot, but I still respect the fact that this is my mom’s account and it’s her credit. So we had an agreement that they were not going to fix anything that needed money that needed a charge before they were going to ask permission for two reasons. One I mean again it’s my mom’s account it’s up to her.

If she wants to pay that if she can or if she can’t you know with bets, I shouldn’t you know, I have the right to speak in a decisions, but I’m not a jerk. So the second thing is: is that if they tell me certain things are broken, maybe I can just fix it myself, because I know how turned out I didn’t have to. They took care of everything. So this is a phone, I got it back and it comes in this cute little package, I think, is great: what do they replace on it? They replaced the processor because there was a processor issue.

They replaced the whole LCD screen and the home button, because the home button kept sticking and whatnot, so they replaced. All of that. Did it cost me anything nope, nothing. The phone is here it’s in perfect working condition, and I think I haven’t tried it. It put a sim card in because you know it’s for sale now. Could I have my own thing, but my whole point is that I dealt with bail, and this was what I was going to talk about.

Was that was it going to be an easy thing to do the words they’re going to need hoops to jump through? Was I going to have to prove that I didn’t damage it myself or whatnot? No, none of that happened nothing. I told them what was wrong. They said all right, you know, send it in now. The reason why this had send it in, however, it took a little bit of explanation because were in the Maritimes and we don’t have actual Bell Bell stores like Bell link.

We have Bell Aliant and that’s not the same thing, because it was an actual Bell. Bell store, I could have just walked in with my phone handed it to them and gotten a second link. You know, so there was a little bit of Hoops, but they weren’t difficult to jump her. They worked with me and I walked with them. So again they sent me the box for me to send everything I didn’t even pay shipping or anything.

I find all those papers put the phone in sent it in the mail and not even a month later I got the phone back completely fixed, no turn whatsoever, and that’s it. So my conclusion – yes am I dealing with Bell over the fact that the phone that you know we purchased from them was defected. They fixed it for free and the whole process was less than painful. It was extremely easy, um give or take I mean the beginning part I mean one of the technicians were a little bit snotty, but whatever okay there’s like 4,000 employees, three of them I mean I ain’t mad at that all right and even over the whole.

Other years of the eighteen years again, I was always the one that would call him, for you know: billing mistakes, billing mistakes, um data issues and you know upgrades and whatnot. I was always the one that dealt with that and over all those years I mean every once in a while. I did have to escalate to supervise him only because I knew I could get better and did I he worked for Bell for a long time.

Yes, am I trained in law, Realty and all four lines of business? Yes, so I did know that you could get more. That was a little bit of my thing, however, with an 18 year old accounts, they’ll give you the moon in the stars. I mean within parameters, but they’ll bend over backwards and they did this whole time. So I want to thank all of them. Thank everybody that was involved. It was a good experience to get the phone fixed overall of the whole time that we’ve been dealing with Belle.

It was frustrating a little bit. Okay, we did have her her things when it came to upgrading, but again that just has to do with the fact that were in the bird new brunswick, where we don’t have Belle Belle, we have Bell Aliant. So sometimes you know things kind of get. However, I do have to say that, however – and this is really really important to say that yes, we did have really good customer service over the years, because every time that we would upgrade – and this upgrade was done with foam – they actually nailed the them to me And my mom in the mail, but every time before that we always went to an actual Belle Stewart, operand um.

I would call we get everything you know, figure it out playing wise phone wise over the phone and then he’d show up to pick them up and then that’s where the problems always happened, and there was always like this $ 30 activation fee. That doesn’t need to be charged. That’S just the store charging you the speed for their tie. Insert I don’t know. However, this is one see me a good customer service because I would call them them you like a look.

Why would have to pay for that? They would always put it. The moral of the story is yes. My experience with Belle was great. Am I sad I’m no longer a cell customer of Belle actually yeah? I am, I really did like them and northern that we’re not going to get into it, because it’s not the point, but the experience itself over the years was mostly positive. I mean nothing’s perfect, but for the most part it was good and when I recommend Belle yeah, I would definitely um promo, jumping back and forth that it can give you.

You know: savings in the short-term, but after 18 years of being with the same company. That’S when they start really really giving you awesome, deals and awesome prices because they are rewarding you, for you know, being a long-term customer for not creating. You know bunch of accounts back and forth in or not so just because the grass looks a little bit greener on the other side. You know if it’s just like a ten dollar difference between two companies like stick with the one you have.

I mean unless there’s problems, you’re not happy, but if you’re meteor awkwardly happy with your your servants and your provider stay there, the longer you stay, the more they’re going to give you. This is from from this is an insider tip. Actually, I worked at loyalty so when I wanted to give people credits because I have the right to – I would look, how long have they been a customer? Have they paid them bill one time everyone do they complain all the time.

Do they ask for credits all the time if all those things weren’t there, I get the moon. The stars like, I have a lot of credit that are given some people get a lot so overall, they’re fixing the phone with bail with a good, really good experience. Like five stars out of five, my overall experience with Bella for the past 18 years, I give it a four out of five stars. As for my experience with Rogers, I don’t know we’re just starting on the cellphone journey with Rogers, I have my home phone, my home phone.

You know everything else with them, maybe I’ll get into that. I don’t know if you’re interested in knowing what my experience of all that is leave me a comment. Let me know because I I’ll tell it, I don’t have a problem. So I’m necessarily oh man, so that’s it. I promised all of you that I would let you know if their journey was difficult or heard or what it was it wasn’t. It was easy. I recommend it no hard feelings, I’m sad, I’m gone but license on.

I got to do what I can do. That’S all I could afford so anybody looking for an SM, it’s brand-new, they just fix it um, but yeah. So thank you very much and everybody

How to Grow On Soundcloud [Digital Dash w/ Kohrey]

Now, for those of you who don’t know who I am digital marketing myself, I specialize in helping artists, like you, guys, get their songs heard through platforms like Spotify, Instagram, YouTube and a bunch of others. What I want to talk to you guys about today is how to run up your place on soundcloud, and this isn’t a platform that I necessarily will recommend you guys to work.

I do personally have my own beliefs about SoundCloud and trust me I’ll be doing a article on that in the future. But I haven’t gotten a lot of questions from you, guys asking me how you can start to build your place up on soundcloud how you can start to get your songs out there so on and so forth. So I want to give you guys a couple of tips, some that I’ve noticed and kind of seen in my recent past working with SoundCloud and some they have come directly from SoundCloud themselves.

They recently put out a blog article talking about ways that you can optimize your soundcloud page, so that your songs are spread a lot more, so I’ll be digging into that as well. So with that being said, let’s get right into it all right now. The first tip comes directly from SoundCloud itself and it’s make sure that you’re as discoverable as possible, meaning that you want to have your titles and your descriptions in order.

Don’T have anything like track number one. The track number two and don’t add any unnecessary and extra characters or symbols that will make it hard for people to find you. So whatever your name is on Instagram or Twitter or whatever other profiles, you use make sure that it’s as close to it as possible within the track description and the track title for your song, so that people can easily lift you up and find you.

You also want to make sure that your album art is the highest quality and resolution, as you can possibly get. Soundcloud doesn’t really like to work with low res photos and I’ll make it a little harder for you to be discovered and for people to want to actually come and check you out when they do stumble upon your profile. The main thing here, guys is consistency. Consistency across your track descriptions, consistency across your titles and consistency across your album art will make you very discoverable on soundcloud, giving you a better chance of being picked up by the platform’s algorithm and having your songs actually spread out within the platform, and the second thing That you guys want to make sure that you’re doing is taking the advantage of sound clouds genre and mood now, just like all the other streaming platforms.

Soundcloud does in fact have its own algorithm that they used to determine how other people are hearing songs and what songs come up next after this song and so forth and so forth. So SoundCloud uses their algorithm based on the tax and the genres that you guys are using. So you want to use as many as you possibly can. That relates to your song and relate to your audience. So if you’re a rapper, your manager, I’m attack may be hip hop.

You may have a chilled mood or a sleepy mood, or something like that tagging it with as many relevant tags as possible, increases your chance of being picked up by the algorithm being spread to these people, who are looking for songs based on these types of tags. In these types of genres and increasing your chance that you actually hit the audience that you want to hit and that’s the best way to make sure that your music spreads on soundcloud, honestly so before each song release make sure that you have a list of tags.

And subgenres listed out that you can use with each song time and time again. This way, you’ll make sure to hit the same niche over and over spreading your music out amongst the people, who really care about the types of songs that you’re making and putting you in front of a relevant audience anyway. Now the next thing that you’ll want to make sure that you’re doing is taking advantage of repost networks and the repost function on soundcloud in general.

Now, in my opinion, they don’t work as well as they did. I would say two or three years ago, but they’re still the most effective way for you to grow your song on SoundCloud itself. You can either reach out to people who are bigger than you and see how much they’re charging for repost I’ve seen a couple of popular DJs and even like smaller lesser-known artists, who still have large fan bases who offer repost as well or you can take advantage Of repost network, which is a website that actually sales repost from different large SoundCloud accounts, just go in there and make a profile dig through the ones that make the most sense.

For you see how much they cost and get those guys to repost as long as well or if you guys, are trying to stay more inside of your budget or if you don’t really want to spend money on repost at all. What you can do is start the build your own repost network, using friends, artists, DJs and producers, who are all in similar size and demographic as you as well. This would make it easier because your starter kind of associate brands with people who are also trying to build themselves up and pretty much be sharing fan bases with other people who can pretty much pitch it into yours and you’ll be helping a lot.

By doing the same now on SoundCloud, your repost network is like gold, so they’re stronger, vennett way that you build the better chances that you have of spreading your song out outside of your own network, increasing its views, increasing its reach and increasing your chance of picking Up new fans, so just to give you guys a little recap. The first thing that you want to do is make sure that you’re as discoverable within the platform itself, meaning that you want to make sure that your titles are order, that your descriptions are in order and that you’re using the same name on soundcloud as the one That you’re, using on all your other social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter or whatever it is that you guys are using the second thing that you’ll want to do is make sure that you’re using SoundCloud genre and mood tags, like I said, SoundCloud has its own Algorithm that it uses to determine songs that played next with in other people’s on Play, listing and their track efforts, and things like that.

So, the more that you tag your songs or there’s many relevant tags as possible, the better chance that you have of SoundCloud algorithm, picking you up and spreading your songs in the platform without you even having to do much work. And the third thing that you guys want to do is make sure that you build a strong repost network. You can do this by hitting up DJ’s or rappers or other artists who are offering repost for whatever price.

It is that they offer make sure that you’re getting the best bang for your buck and it actually helps to spread your song or you can always tap into artists who have a similar genre and niche and same size following as you two start, the build you Guys it’s on repost network of similar style artists, or you can always use a website like repost Network, just go in make an account find pages that are actually offering repost and figure out, which ones make the most sense for you, your style of music and your Budget now make sure to leave their link to the original SoundCloud blog post in the description below, so that you guys can check out some of the other tips that they had.

I didn’t feel like really needed that much of a real description, but you can always go through it, read through it yourself and get from it. What you need now, as always guys if you feel like you, learned me pain today, please make sure you like to share this article, hit those post notifications so that you guys don’t miss anything. I want you guys to learn everything and anything that you possibly can with.

That being said, my name is Corey and I’ll see y’all next time.

3 INCH OCTOCOPTER?!? | You Build It We Fly It!

Are you excited, I’m sure, let’s see what, if I, what what okay? So it’s like a quark, so it’s two quad copters [ Laughter, ], some octo, a three-inch octo, but like half of its turned upside down, so the props can interleave, hey, guys, welcome to wrote a riot, I’m Loretta and now expand over today we are going to Be trying out a really weird drone, so this is something that was sent to Joshua Bardwell to check out.

He brought it here for us all to fly together. It was built by a guy named Victor, it’s his own, weird brainchild. So the idea is that this guy is going to sort of split the difference between a three inch and a five inch right. It’S not like your typical off to college. Rather, it’s like actually eight motors, like all facing up the same way. Half of its turned upside down, the other half is right right right, it’s got we had to offset plates and then the it’s it’s set up so that the prop disks overlap, because some of the motors pointed up at some point.

It’S super different, really weird, but kind of Awesome, yeah design. This is probably the weirdest drone that we’ve gotten to check out so far. I would say so yeah. So this is you build it. We fly it so he’s going to fly the octo first. Thank you. Wow he broke that Tommy’s hex the throttle, because Larry you’ve lost your pride. I want, I won’t crush it I’ll. Take it really easy there. You want car bells going.

First, no, that’s fair! Vincent did reach out to you and drew is a freestyle pilot. I’M sorry that I’m the only one that actually pushes it it’s so interesting. I did a flip. Oh no, he’s right he’s right. I crashed a lot less, but I also do a lot fewer. You impress the trick I like to take my quads home Andrew. Does it I just oh yeah, I mean I’ll fix them. That is so weird because it sounds like a three end.

Flip that thing Wow, not a lot of press coming down. Let’S do it again everything boogies now is this his chin I’ll make it up like this? No, no rough life, the ark that we’re flying today is actually on clean flight yeah. It’S not a beta fight or flight one or kiss, or anything it’s on clean flight, which I was a little bit surprised his tune and everything, though that’s the biggest thing. They may be that light features yep.

My big Victor set this up on clean flight because I think was the only one that is using that he could get eight outputs. You have to seal racing, you only get eight outputs and it is made for clean play, probably fix the rates. So I’m really impressed, especially with the handling it didn’t, feel slow. It picked up speed a lot had good handling and really good battery life and we’re flying a 1304 cell, which is you would we have your motors to? You would never fly that on, like a baby on three edge it’ll be way too heavy.

No, it looks pretty good for a good flight tests are using the same battery. You get use on a five inch flight time. Here is four minutes left 50m, where we’re resting at fifteen three, so I mean we could probably do I’m sure first impressions. What do you think when you flew it? It was different. It was. I was surprised first on how long it flew. I was really expecting. Yeah you’re going to be more inefficient.

I thought it was going to have like half the flight time of a five inch quad. It actually flew longer than some of my five inch wasn’t or about the same comparable times it had a lot of control yeah the biggest. It was the yaw authority, because there were so many motors. There was a lot of things that could spin up or slow down to get that because he all worked weird right. It spins up and slows down motors and uses that angular acceleration of the motors to counter spin them yeah.

It was a very locked and yaw feeling, and on top of that, it flew really good. It flew kind of like a five-inch resaw quad. It definitely didn’t carry it to momentum as well as a heavier quiet, even though the way no I’d be the same yeah, which was weird because it yeah felt like it would weigh the same. She thought it would toss right way, but it didn’t it kind of no in the throttle was low. Lighter did you think it felt it felt lighter in a white, but the throttle Kerr was a lot different as well.

It felt like you’re there’s really not much going on down low uh-huh, just kind of nice. You were trying to cruise down low and keep your line smooth, but then all of a sudden, the top and that thing is really really powerful. Well, actually, so then we started wondering: is it going to be faster than one of our five inch quads? So so we’ve kept my free stock quad with a GoPro up against the octocopter without the GoPro I don’t know exactly who won.

I want to say. I won but here’s the thing I definitely as I’m bad at going in a straight line because you would actually go and I would go up all this and what I noticed was at first. Your quad was faster. I was shocked, but it did seem faster. I would see you in front of me and then I think what happened was your battery would start sagging a lot more than my I did have battery sack and I we were using the same brand batteries it wasn’t it wasn’t the bad.

You know it’s the same battery, but I think that your your drone, the the 3-inch doctor after there’s, less amp, draw it’s not just pumping out thrust in four motors, it’s kind of less amps but two more points which God it doesn’t make sense it should. It should be, it should either all be the same. I still was make sense. I figured the octocopter would be way more inefficient, eight motors that sounds like more amps, and on top of that, because the props overlap each other, you should be losing efficiency yeah.

I noticed and notice with the freestyle too, I was able to do pretty long flights and it felt really consistent throughout the whole flight. In fact, I flew a little bit too long and over discharged all of a sudden yeah they’re, like oh, no you’re, dynamite, 14. Volts whoops, so you took the GoPro off and you went to just do some all-out ripping? Yes, Oh keep up with what you’re doing well as a spectator, you found the prop wash racist, trying to do as many corners as possible because, honestly, in a straight section, the speed felt a pretty pretty similar to my 5 inch claws and when I noticed the Corners is the control was really really good, but there’s almost terrified.

How did you do that? It just accelerated so fast? I was solving around the trees as fast as I could find going around a tree or something I’m trying to 180. If Ike the five-inch cloth kind of carried some Linton through, so it takes longer to stop it and then Rick’s are in the next direction. What was scary and awesome about the octocopter and I would stop, and they would just stop me there – it start it straight in the next slide.

I understand he reacts that fast. I just caught it Brent yeah. I clipped a branch as you’ll see in the DVR clip these branches. Turning in – and I I mean it flung me into the ground pretty good, but like not more than a five inch quad way it was moving, but not that bad. A five inch would have to that wasn’t going to take. It was moving like two arms yeah. You broke 25 % of this drone. The problem is because it’s a unibody as well.

It’S a lot harder to fix, wait and did you break one on each yeah? Yeah you’ve complete that’s 100 % destroyed, actually because there’s two unibody is that drone is 100 % destroyed. That is way way worse. Alright, by the way worse Jimmy, you can’t even feel the motors feel the motors, oh geez, that is nice and that’s not easy. It’S pretty hot they’re, really hot. I was just pushing it really hard, because I want to see how it would take a crash as well, and it was kind of fun to fly out of my comfort zone a lot.

It’S really really nimble. It’S really really fast. Do I like it more than 5 CH what I mean I’d like to until that, so I think what we could say is that if you race as hard as Alex Vanover, this might not be the frame for you. No definitely not. This is going to take a lot of words. It’S got a lot of potential, all right like it’s. It’S really. I think like on a on a course like this, where you have a lot of tight sections, but also a lot of sections where you’re going.

You know we talked about the prop wash and I wanted to address that. It looked like there was more props in like a tune, 5 inch, quad or something would have, but I have to note that it was turning a lot faster you through it. So I think, what’s happening is it’s turning so fast? It’S that’s a whole nother level of propwash that we haven’t got into it. Yeah in bracelet. You think it’s turning faster than you can turn your five inch quad.

I don’t think I can turn a five inch car around that fast, really, oh yeah. So there is a performance advantage. There is a performance advantage and there’s also the disadvantage, because it’s not because it seems lighter still than a five inch quad a five inch quad through us basics long will carry someone winsome a lot through this quad. I was. If you read the you VR, you can see it, I’m like forcing it through the slalom like pitching down into the psalm, to get it to keep going, keep the speed up.

So I really hope you guys enjoyed that. Actually I enjoyed flying it as much as I’m giving you crap for you being the one that broke. It look further, really record when you broken it, because you were going, it was all van over to frame. I hit this tree branch of actual well like I said this is just a passion project of a guy. It is pretty, it is pretty thin here, but let us say that for I’ve never seen anything like this before and for what it is.

It’S really amazing. I’Ll say this is really really great in and just because the first pass doesn’t stand up to the node and over full stand. Durability. There’S a lot. I don’t one I’m going to build one. We just tend to get so stuck in our our ways of life. Five inch quad five inch quad five and we don’t experiment yeah. I like I like experimentation me will that’s where that you build it. We fly it.

Series comes in Hindi. Absolutely, if you guys want us to fly something weird, send it our way and we are happy to just crash it. I mean thank you guys so much for reading this episode, thanks to Vincent for sending this awesome quad for us to fly and destroy, and if you enjoyed this episode, leave us a comment down below. Let us know what you would like to see us build. What we’re drunk, what we’re drone, would you like to see us to have sent to us what we were drawing? Would you like us to try and get a hold of and guys be sure to check out the rotor ID store link in the description down below alright guys, i’m Latrobe, I’m just Rivard? Well, I’m Alex fan over.

Are you guys for joining and we’ll see you next time?

LinkedIn Marketing: 3 Ways To Get Clients With LinkedIn FAST [2020]

It’S an absolute goldmine if you know how to use it. So in this article I’m going to talk about three ways: to use LinkedIn to get clients fast, hey, what’s up, it’s Sean Anthony and I talk about the best tools, tips and strategies to level up your business, your skills and your income. So that sounds interesting to you make sure you go down below right now and hit that subscribe button.

Alright. So in this article we’re going to talk about LinkedIn, why it’s such a goldmine and how to use it three specific ways to use it to get clients fast for your business. So let’s hop into my computer right now already so on the screen. Here I have my LinkedIn profile and I’m just going to go and walk through the three main things that you want to do to be marketing on LinkedIn and growing your business and getting more clients using the platform.

Okay. So I’m going to walk through each of these three things, I’m going to show you some examples of each and just keep in mind, there’s hundreds of different tips and tactics and strategies and cool little hacks. You can do on LinkedIn. These are the three main core things that you want to do as part of your client acquisition strategy. If you want to use LinkedIn to do that and to get clients and grow your business okay, so just keep that in mind.

There’S a lot of different things that I could cover. I might cover in later articles, but pay attention to these main three, because this is the main thing that you want to do as part of your strategy. Okay, so number one. Is you want to optimize your LinkedIn profile for your ideal client right, and the way you want to think about your profile? Is a lot of people treat it like a resume or like a showcase or a place to just show off right, show off about their awards and what they’ve done? Maybe they’ve written a book or whatever you don’t want to do that.

You want to treat your LinkedIn profile if you want to use it to get clients, you want to treat it kind of like a mini sales, page or mini landing page right, and the goal of your LinkedIn profile is to attract and convert your ideal clients. So to do that, you need to optimize your LinkedIn profile to do that. To get your ideal clients to come to your profile, see what you do and say. Oh that sounds like that.

Guy can help me right. So let’s just take a look at the main. There’S three main areas on the profile that you want to optimize number: one is just your image, your file image and your cover photo. Okay, don’t overcomplicate this! Your profile photo should just be something simple: if you like, looking professional, smiling, not like you just rolled out of bed or came out of a bar, it should be a clear picture to make sure it’s not like pixelated or you can’t see your face.

Just make sure it’s a picture of a of you, that’s clear and looks somewhat professional. Okay, your cover photo is the same thing for me. I just put a few photos. You can make this in canva. I put a few photos that show me speaking and with other entrepreneurs like this is Jesse at slur. He owns the Atlanta Hawks. This is Trey Llewellyn who’s, big in the e-commerce space. You can use something like this.

That shows your authority or you can link with a call to action to your website or whatever you want people to do. Okay, so just make sure these two areas, it’s not like the default, make sure that you optimize it to make you look good and position. You as an authority all right now. The second place you want to optimize is your headline most people. What they do here is they just put their job title right.

They might say: oh I’m, a CEO, whose company this is what I do well, you want to make sure that when your prospect reads your headline, they can answer the question. What’S in it for me right, and does this person help me so this is for growth response right growth responses are b2b, lead generation or drop servicing agency. We provide LinkedIn and cold email, lead generation for b2b technology, startups, SAS companies and agencies right.

So I want to make sure if this is my company and that’s who I target right: b2b, startups and agencies. I want to make sure that my top my headline on LinkedIn speaks to that right. So it’s the same exact thing here: helping startups helping the niche, who are your niches and agencies to get result? What’S the result, get more sales meetings with their ideal customers right and then you can even I couldn’t fit everything in here.

So I just put you know: founder high growth response done for you up on prospecting. Some keyword, SAS lead generation, LinkedIn marketing, cold email, copy sales, funnels okay, so you can put some keywords in here: a little hack. I don’t know if this still works, but if you edit on your phone, if you download the LinkedIn mobile app and you edit on your phone, you edit this headline, I think they, let you add, a bit more characters right.

I don’t think I could add this on on the desktop version. I think it’s a little trick if it still works, if it doesn’t oh well you’re too late, but try try downloading the mobile app and seeing if, if you could add more keywords into your headline here right. But the lesson here is: make sure that you can answer who do you help? How do you help them and what result do you get right? So helping startups and agencies get sales meetings with their ideal customers? That’S what I do and then I linked to growth response, which is the actual company that I’m talking about right.

So that’s area number two, now area number one, your photo! Your cover photo area. Number two is your headline area number three that you want to optimize is your about or your summary section. Okay – and this is where people go so wrong, like they’ll, just put like, for example, they’ll speak about themselves in third person, so they might say something like Shawn has worn won three awards. He started five companies he’s made like ten million dollars.

Shaun has is a TEDx speaker. He has this book in that book and he’s done this he’s such a badass right, like just talking about themselves in third person, which first of all, is just it’s kind of strange. It’S kind of creepy right who actually talks about themselves in third person and, second of all, you look like a narcissist when you do that, so make sure that your your profile summary talks about your prospect and how you can help them right again.

If you want to use it to get more clients and grow your business right, so let’s take a look at my example: I’m not going to read through all of this, but let’s take a look at what I’m doing here right. So the very first line. I don’t say anything about me or, like my background or anything, I talk exactly to the value proposition right. We help technology startups and digital agencies fill their pipeline with high-value, leads that turn into customers.

You get an expert team dedicated to prospecting and customer acquisition for half the cost of an in-house team. Now by reading that very first sentence, you know exactly who I helped exactly the result I get and how like why it’s relevant to them right. So half the cost of an in-house team right these SAS companies, these SAS founders, they’re so used to hiring like three to four sales reps at like four to five thousand dollars a month each and they still have to train them and buy them tools and all That stuff right so we’ll cut that cost in more than half and we’ll get.

We have a proven system that already works and we can get them exactly what they want, which is more customers right. So the the sentence should be a value proposition about you and what you do and how you help that market right. Then I kind of dive deep into the problems and pain points, so you’re going to have to do some research into this right. It’S not going to be the same thing. You want to make sure that you’re speaking in the language of your niche, so for our niche for b2b technology companies when we are talking to founders they’re, always like I don’t know where my next deals coming from, like we don’t know which source is coming from.

We don’t know if it’s from a webinar or LinkedIn or cold email or Facebook advertising. We don’t know where our next deal is going to come from and we don’t have a predictable system right. So we tie that into the pain points here right is your team wasting hours of valuable selling time when researching and instead of closing deals, do you wish you had a proven system right? So these are specific pain points that come up when we talk to our market right Ben.

You can read this, you can I’m not going to read all this, but it talks a little bit about our background. Why we created this service? What problem does it solve and we even kind of qualify people here right so we say hold up, must be but afford at least $ 1,000 a month, and this filters out people from booking a call with us if they’re, just like tire, kickers and just information Seekers right that aren’t actually going to become clients.

So take a look at the profile summary summary here again: it should speak directly to your ideal client and your ideal prospect and talk about how you can help them solve a problem that they want to solve right. In this case, it’s it’s lead generation and getting more getting more customers for their SAS business right. They should not be talking about yourself in third person or your awards or anything like that.

Nobody cares right. So that’s the number one area is is optimizing your profile. We talked about your profile photo your cover photo your headline and also your profile summary right. So that’s number one optimize your profile for your ideal client now number two: is you want to connect and engage with your ideal clients right, so you can use sales navigator options set up a separate article, doing a tutorial of sales navigator and how we use it In depth, but let’s just say that we’re going to use it again, b2b staffs founders, because that’s who we target for for growth response if I want to find SAS calendars, all I got to do here is type in.

Let’S see founder, okay and I’ll show you some examples of messages that we’ve sent I’ll go to all filters here and I can go to computer software. I can go to let’s say if I want to find people in my city of Seattle I’ll do that. I can type in their title here. I might do falender right and then what I can do is click apply now. What does this? Do? It gives me a list of 2509 founders in seattle of software companies and what sales navigator you can get even more grant and granular with like the size of the companies like how many employees they have more specific industries, more specific titles and seniority levels.

But I’m just showing you a quick example here, and this shows me two thousand plus founders people who fit my ideal client profile. So what do I want to do? I want to connect with these people. Let’S just say Dan here I might connect with him I’ll. Send him a connection requests, hey Dan saw your founder in the Seattle area of a SAS company. Would love to connect and share insights with you. Something super simple like that: right once they connect, you can send them a message and just see if they’re interested in having a quick conversation with you to learn more about what you do as what you deliver at your service right and how you can help them To provide value to their lives right, so let’s take a look at an example here right, so one of our clients here is Lynn.

I know she is in here she’s one of my favorite clients, because they have an awesome SAS product. Oh my gosh, I can get this typed out and then you can see here when we first started talking, so you can see here, here’s the connection message right. So I connected with there. I engage with there I enjoy connecting with founders, who I share. Mutual connections with love the opportunity to connect and share insights thanks for sharing, thanks for connecting with me on LinkedIn promise to keep this value an interesting blah, blah blah, and then I go into a little mini pitch right.

Are you interested in using LinkedIn to generate 10 to 20 high value sales appointments a month at Condotti? If not, or are you currently using that? If not, I created this free guide detailing how to do that right, so I’m providing her value, I’m giving her a value. So I had this little article here on LinkedIn tactics and I sent it over her way and this is what she said would like to chat more on your approach.

Let me know when’s a good time this week or next. So then we hopped on a phone. We set up a time to chat. We helped in the phone she became a client of ours. She’S been a client of ours for over a year now and she’s on boarded. You know multiple people within her company onto our service right, so LinkedIn outreach. It works. You know you have to just make sure you’re connecting with the right people with your ideal client you’re, providing value up front you’re, showing them that you care about them and and that you can help them get a result that they actually want.

And that’s what we’ve done here and this is exactly what we do for our service right, our LinkedIn service. What we’re doing is we’re connecting with people, we optimize your profile and then we start connecting with people and engaging with them to get you more appointments so that you can get more customers more clients right. So that’s number two is connecting and engaging with your ideal clients and trying to get them.

You know interested in what you have to offer yeah so number three, the third way to grow your business and get more clients if LinkedIn is content, write content and what you want to do here, there’s two types of content: this is the way that I break It down type one content is content that shows who you are as a person right. So talk, you’re, going to be telling stories about yourself, your business, your personal life, things that happen, things that are good things that are bad.

It shows people that you’re human and who you are as a person – I mean, of course you’re human, but it shows your personality a bit right, so you can look at my posts on here. I’M not going to go through all of them here, because I have I’ve made a lot of posts, but type 1 content is showing who you are as a person and letting people know that your hue and you’re, not just some robot on linkedin, trying to just Spam and get business all the time right.

Number two is what I call type 2 content real original right, but it’s content that positions you as the authority. So it answers the question. Why should I work with you to solve X problem? So someone might say why should I work with you to help me generate more leads on LinkedIn, so I actually provide a lot of content here on LinkedIn for free through my status updates right. You can see these get engaged with a lot.

50 likes 12 comments of 54 and 19. Comments have 17,000 views on this 147 likes and 49 comments. So this gets people interested in what you have to offer and they’ll see your posts. They’Ll reach out to you through your messaging here and they’ll, want to set up a time with you to chat right. So content is a very powerful way if you combine it with an outreach strategy right. So if you optimize your profile number one, you optimize it for your ideal client number: two! You connect and engage with your ideal clients, your ideal prospects and you grow your network on LinkedIn right.

You start connecting with people they get accepted into your network. You send them a mess. I’Ve seen if you can help them or provide value, that’s connect and engage and then number three you’re constantly putting content out there. Maybe one or two times a week even and you’re, constantly putting content in value out there and you’re helping your market out through your content, you’re going to get clients, people are going to reach out to you they’re going to want to work with you, because your Profit you’re putting goodwill and value out into the market right, so those are the three things number one optimize your profile for your ideal client right, your your your profile photo your cover photo your headline and your profile summary.

You should all be geared towards your ideal prospect. Your ideal client should be it shouldn’t, be talking or bragging about yourself. Okay, number two is a the connected engaged, so you want to connect with your ideal client and you want to provide some value. Maybe you found an article, that’s useful to them. That’S relevant to your service that you provide and also number three is to post content right type, 1 and type 2 content person, personality content and authority content right.

You want to get people interested in what you have to offer and stay top of mind so that when they are ready to move forward with LinkedIn lead generation or whatever you provide, you are going to be the first person they think about. Okay. So I hope this is helpful for you guys, if you guys like this, like this article subscribe comment below. Let me know what you want to see next, let me know if you want, if you have any questions around what I covered here today, I’ll be doing a lot more articles on LinkedIn and using it to grow your business, but I hope this is helpful for You guys take care and I’ll see you in the next article

Why We QUIT OUR JOBS to start a Woodworking Business | How to Price & Sell a Whiskey Gift Box

I guess that’s the last time I can say that on this subject, but airplanes have always been a cornerstone of my identity, see here’s a picture of me as a kid. Here’S a picture of the first airplane that I built and flew in my yard and then here’s a picture of my bedroom after I’d started building RC airplanes to fly in the lot next to our house. And if you try really hard, I bet you could find some terribly cringy articles of me in my yard, flying RC airplanes in high school.

So when a friend of mine reached out and wanted me to build a gift box for his flight instructor, it really struck a chord. It’S been years since I sat in a cockpit, but I can’t wait to get back the past couple of years. I’Ve been distracting myself with other things in the name of maturity, more realistic goals, saving money or some other adult sounding thing, but I’m not going to let those things deter me anymore.

Life isn’t a dress rehearsal, it’s a live, show, there’s no do-overs, no what-ifs no repeats. I need to be back in the air where I belong, that’s how at least best I can figure I’m going to be motivated enough to work hard at my other goals. Now, you’re, probably thinking to yourself what does any of this have to do with woodworking? Hopefully, one day soon, this venture will bring in a lot of money and employ hundreds of people.

We could put food on their tables tables in their homes and funnel the excess profits and cash towards helping others, and I can mean the air again. I don’t want to buy a huge house. I don’t want everyone to know my name. I don’t want tons of exotic cars or a bunch of other crap. I just want to find a way to help other people, while scratching the itch on my soul, to be in the sky, so we’re leaving our jobs and moving to the south.

I know we’ve talked about it quite a bit, but here’s the real story on our current career paths. There’S no feasible way to chase the priorities I just outlined, or stick to our life mission of helping the most number of people possible. It’S time for a risk for a lot of reasons, mostly because we’re young enough to rebound if we fail, because those who we want to help are worth it, because our future employees and their families are worth it and honestly, because her sanity depends on it.

We can’t be employees anymore, at least not in the traditional sense. We just can’t breathe so in our new jobs. For a few months, every year, Jenny now will be flying in a research aircraft gathering storm data to help millions of people evacuate and prepare. In times of natural disaster, but more on that someday soon with the rest of our time, we’ll be trying to build this woodworking business that, hopefully one day provides hundreds of jobs to Americans who know the value of hard work.

Who want to see the smiling faces of a family sitting around a table that they built? Who don’t need to take out giant loans to learn enough to make a living and who will make a ton of money with which we can try to make the world a better place for everyone? We’Re so grateful for our experiences here in the great white north and at our first job. It’S been an amazing testing grounds to prepare us to do this at scale.

The people have been great too, but it’s time for us to go, and projects like this have come along the way to remind us that, with the right priorities and plenty of discipline and lots of hard work, we can have our cake and eat it too, or Whiskey or I guess airplane, if you’re thinking big picture, but you get the point. So that’s our story, that’s our next chapter of life. I know we’ve talked about it quite a bit, but that’s what’s going on with us.

That’S why we’re moving? That’S? Why we’re trying to learn sales is because everything that we want to do in life becomes unlocked by this woodworking business succeeding. I appreciate all of you for coming along for the ride and hitting that subscribe button if you’re new – and this is the first time you’re reading a article of ours – sorry, you kind of caught us in our feelings, but this is where we’re at in life.

Right now, and if this sounds exciting or intriguing, we hope that you’ll hit that subscribe button and join us alright. So the price breakdown on this whiskey gift box right up front. We did not charge enough on this project. Originally I wasn’t going to do finger joints on the corners. I was just going to do, but joist with nails and glue. Then I just decided you know what hey we’re going to get this box joint jig eventually like this is a good project as any.

At this point, we had stopped taking more orders, so our free time was more plentiful and I I’m doing a lot of rationalization, but the bottom line is we didn’t charge enough? So if you use our normal pricing structure for materials, it was about three board feet of walnut, which is about $ 24 in my area and then miscellaneous glue and stuff. Like that five bucks, when you counter in the labor at $ 30 an hour, this box took six hours to put together, which is ridiculous.

All right now I counted time of assembling the box joint jig and getting it all set up and dialed in so now that it’s set, I don’t think it’ll take near six hours. This box is probably a two or three hour job. Now, if I were to do it again, so the total quote should have been $ 24 plus five dollars, miscellaneous expenses for materials and then $ 90. So what are we looking at there? So we’re looking at a total of 119 dollars just for labor and materials multiply that times 1.

4 to get our 40 % markup and we’re looking at a hundred and sixty six dollars. Yeah but probably would have shot for 175. Probably would have taken anything around 150 or over that, but in all honesty we only charged a hundred dollars back. When I thought this box was going to be a bunch of butt joints. I yeah. I just thought that that would have been a great price and it would have been, but because we use the Box joints and everything else, it really slowed us down.

I still think we could have gotten this under two hours. If I wasn’t doing the Box joints, especially if I already had some walnut that was milled up, I didn’t realize how dull my planer blades were, after the big rolling sliding barn door that we have just done before this. So I could have saved time on milling. It could have saved time on the box joints if I already had the jig set up so anyway.

All those reasons aside, we lost money on this project and that’s okay. I learned from it. I there’s a lot of really good things that we learned. We optimized a few things with the Box joint jig. We understood that hey, we need to change our planer blades after we do a really big job with really hard plywood. We learned that so, even though we’ve lost money, it’s still a really good experience for us.

Overall – and we would definitely take this job again – but we’d probably price it higher at like 150 175 – something like that yeah, that’s pretty much the breakdown on this one. Let me know what you think. I thought it turned out. Really nice theyed it’s by no means fine craftsmanship. He kind of wanted the client wanted it pretty rustic. You know it’s a whiskey box. It’S not supposed to be some like ornate, beautiful, like gold, inlay sort of like gift box.

This was just a hey there’s. Some shredded paper in here that’s pretty cool. Let’S make it rustic and it’ll set up on a shelf and yeah it’s a really cool project so anyway, other than that, thanks for reading the article please hit the like button. If you thought this was valuable, really helps us grow and share this information with more people who can help get their businesses off the ground. So thanks so much for the help, and thanks for sticking around

Are you looking for a Website management agency? Look no further.

TOPS I.C.E. Dagger Overview

You is extremely important even more now than after mentioned. There are a few other options and Before we jump into why I chose the ice dagger, I do want to just start off with the importance of having a self-defense tool and why. I think you guys should all have some sort of self-defense tool, even if it isn’t the ice tower in particular.

Now there are many different options I actually have a few. Another notable option is the matriarch by Spyderco matriarch by Spyderco is another great option for how a self-defense tool, but overall you should try to have at all times some type of tool tool on you for self-defense, because this hack can happen at any time. And it’s nice to give yourself an advantage of having even just a small little knife like these.

Now I’ve talked about why I choose knives in the past. I still fully love knives and I take a knife over a gun every day because of the fact that guns, while they are superior to knives in most instances, a gun cannot go everywhere like one of these knives can so that’s the overall importance and why I Just urge you guys make sure you do have a self-defense tool, even if it isn’t the ice dagger go with something like a Spyderco matriarch, just something that you can use to protect yourself now now, let’s actually talk about why I chose the ice dagger now this Has been out for a hot minute: it’s not the newest coolest latest greatest kind of self-defense knife out there on the market, but I was immediately attracted to this knife just for the fact that I wanted something that was very tough, very durable and honestly were a Lot of people prefer something that just has a single blade on it.

I really do like the dagger for enhanced penetration and the fact that I cannot only cut with this knife, but I can also make a deep stabbing and penetrating wound with this knife, and so that’s what it was attractive to the ice dagger. Another reason why I prefer the ice dagger over something like a matriarch is, like, I said, the increased durability and I’m doing some up close shots. Pictures Roland fuller to this, but the ice dagger actually has a reinforced tip.

So the tip the actual, like tip part of this knife from about here forward, is full thickness and it actually retailers down to a point into an edge. So I like about this is there’s no worry about you going in stabbing something in the tip just snapping off on you. This is the type of knife that you can stab into a very hard object or even hit things like bone, and it’s not just going to break off, whereas a knife like this matriarch, which also Roland’s in pictures for you guys, is a very thin, extraordinarily thin.

At the tip and will actually break off very easily if it hits bow and if it hits thick muscle, it’s going to just snap right off, which may be an advantage. It may not. But what I like about this knife is from multiple aggressors, or just even for one likes, that having a very robust tip in a very robust overall build is nice now another thing I have enjoyed about the knife as I carried it and as you guys can See I’ve hard used it a little bit for y’all.

Is I, like the traction on the g10, tops an excellent job on that, especially in the ice pick or reverse grip. I didn’t feel, like my hand, was going to go anywhere. I will say it can be a little bit slick in gloves when you’re doing like a forward thrust. But then again, your thrusts in your anything. Going forward, like this motion kind of thing, isn’t going to have as much power as a reverse grip and what I like about the reverse flip, as you guys can see.

There’S a nice almost Karambit ask ring, so you can leap your thumb into this ring and then close your thumb down like this, and that gives you a lot of positive traction. So if you stab it into something, when you pull the knife back out, you could actually let go of the knife entirely and pull just because if your thumb is caught on that ring, it’s going to pull right back out of whatever it stabbed into so other Than that they have made a few really great cuts in the g10 to make it very aggressive, and it feels really great now.

Lastly, the other reason why I like this knife is, as I said, about the concealed ability. Now you can run this on your belt and that’s another great way of running it. I personally use the neck knife option and we’ll discuss it. The mod that I had to make with it, because you guys will notice the sheath is a little bit different looking, but we’ll discuss that in just a minute, but overall, with the fact that this has very flat thin g10 handles and the knife itself bolts thick Enough not to be weak, it’s also not a very thick knife in general, so it’s it’s very very thinly either was pressed up against your body, there’s no profiling at all with this knife because of the way it’s designed and how flat the sheath is, how flat The handles are, there’s no profiling and when it does sit under especially something like a coat like this you’re going to have no issues whatsoever.

Thank you. Moving on to the last part of this is the modification. Now I’m going to roll in a couple pictures of the bond I did, and I thought you had to do this with a few tops knives. While I do love tops Kydex, I will say their molds can at times be a little bit weak as far as retention goes, and I did find that this one found out the hard way that I was actually running up a flight of stairs and Boop.

The knife popped out and hit the ground. I was like never again on that, because this is a type of knife that you don’t really the public to see because when they see both of these edges and they kind of see the overall profile, it’s so scary. So what I did was, I just took a couple brass screws. I took put the sheath on my drill press punched, a couple holes just at two areas. Where that I could get some extra clamping power from the brass screws, like I said, I’ve done this before on other tops knives.

It’S really simple, and it’s so simple. You don’t even need nuts on the back, because the brass screws thread through the Kydex, so they’re going to hold up just fine. I wanted to make sure that the retention wasn’t too loose or too hard. I wanted it to hit that sweet spot, because when I got it, it was just a little bit too loose. Now it’s right in that sweet spot where it’s not so loose that it’s going to fall out under normal circumstances or slightly strenuous circumstances.

But at the same time, it’s going to have a nice pull and it’s going to be pretty easy to get out without having a wrench on your neck. So anyways, that’s all for the it’s kind of my overview and general thoughts of the ice dagger. It is a really awesome life and, if you’re looking for a really competent and heavy-duty self-defense option as far as knives go, I would very very much encourage you to take a look at least take a look at the ice stacker because, like I said, I think It’S a very smart design, anyways, I’m out
