Keith Dorsey: Managing Over 20 Social Media Influencers And Artists | Brand Or Die Ep #1

What’s up Matt man appreciate it appreciate everything good, a man like you have you have managed, but at this point he said about 20. Influencers connected with you know, 40-plus influencers. Of course the Rabi whirls lit twins and now you’ve even moved into management. You have in a very social world right, a very social media landscape. You have one of those unique perspectives where we hear so much on the front end from I want to be an influencer, I’m going to be an artist but you’re one of those guys behind the scenes that have been able to help get an impact from not Just the views but make money right and obviously you’re needed, because so many people don’t know how to make that connection.

So I’m interested to hear first and foremost what what made you get into it. Knowing that I Robbie world was a friend of yours, but what made you truly pursue it and say I see this as a true business. Well, I guess the budgets got, the promos got bigger and more starts to come and it was a guy. It came, it started to be more just like a little. Oh can you shot me out type of thing, like Brian started, to reach out okay and what really shifted like everybody knows.

My story see my other articles of how, like Robbie world is my best friend and how he began to blow up on vine and the rest is history, but like it really started to hit. When I got my first budget from Atlantic Records the biggest bucket from a budget from Atlantic Records, so we actually met Jordan and Justin overhead. We met them at rolling loud in Miami. That’s why I will forever go to every rolling out in Miami for the rest of my life because we met them there, and then we got a big budget for Sherlock mafia and I was like wow and they say how much is it going to cost for The main ones – and I sent them this this budget – that was at this time, a big budget and they approved it, and I was like wow.

This is for real. No, this is for real, say y’all. We need to tighten up and we need to really start doing more of this and start and and and then it’s like. That’s it’s a business now yeah! You know if you promos that come to the DM for, like smaller music artists, that just wanted to put the song in the skip, but that really hate all that once I was like. I can continue to do this all over and over again, and I was just just what I thought for myself, but they actually needed it.

I had one email, one of my influences. You know they creators artists. Did they don’t like to do certain things? I don’t like to check the email, so I just went email. So, let’s go through this email see we get. It was a contact from journey’s journey’s yeah, one of my influences that work with Brandon got fans and I responded to the lady and they say yeah. We want to give him out, I think it’s, they flew him out to Philadelphia, really nice check with other Creators, and he was in the winter 2017.

I believe campaign for journeys. He was on all the banners in all the stores, all the magazines that they sent out all over the United States, and that was a big deal and I was like man. We have to go higher. We have to go bigger when it comes to this. Okay, before I get tonight’s, the next question I want to say is not me, I’m it’s not you as me. Okay, can you project a little bit just for the mics? Okay? Absolutely! No! No! I want to make sure they good, okay production, I’m sure you’re.

Alright, you mentioned something that was extremely important to me. You said this isn’t just like posting paying for promo there’s a real business. How do you know that it’s that transition, or can anybody who’s already getting a certain amount of hey? Can you pay for my arm for a shoutout type thing and those people just transition into the business? How do you make that transition happen? Well, I truly believe that anybody can do it.

It’s how you go about it, but you can get a promo and it’s like. Oh, I just draw it up, but let’s really sitting and think about how I could make this promo very creative and how I can get put my thought into it and how you handle like oh yeah. Let’s just do just send me any money, I’ll cash out know y’all. Send you an invoice, you know. So it’s just how you handle the situation, yeah, how you carry yourself, because you can always just throw something up and then, when you don’t live that way, and you look at it as a real business, even like just not with the promo, just overall being a Creator is a business because there’s so many opportunities that can come if your portfolio, like your Instagram, like your social media platforms, those are portfolios.

You know, if you look at it that way, you’ll start to attract the bigger the bigger things. Okay, so you have to take the quality in mind: you have to start building the portfolio and then handle those back hand, systems like invoice, and things like that right. So you can can look legit exactly look that other side of this right. Let’s see that, okay, even for myself tuna, add this in I like to look for a while and it worked.

You know I was using a Gmail, but now I got a business, that’s in like it’s influencers at Keith, Dorsey calm and I realized like Wally’s. Bigger agencies won’t even accept emails from a gmail account over spine. And now, since I have my business, email, everything’s, look like okay, these people running a business and it makes me as a manager. So what I’m trying to negotiate things for them. It makes me look professional like we know what we’re doing.

So. That’s that small stuff is very strong important. It could be a deck, a media kit, all that it just it changes everything it’s important here, because at that right, people who already have a certain level of business things like that like getting your own email. It’s not that expensive right, but when you’re we’re coming from mentality, I’m just trying to make money and I’m trying to save money at the same time.

You really want to know. Is that really worth it? Cuz they’ll get an email, but that stuff like that? Yeah! Okay, I mean – I even makes me think about some of the emails that I use on cyber parties yeah. So what for you, especially alright? What well actually can kind of touched on this, but it brings me back to the idea of the brand for the fans. All right and look at summer side of things and the brand in terms of dealing with business, the professional brand right, how different are each of those things now? What’s the polished? Look like it on each side, um? Well, it’s! It is a it’s a big difference.

Now always learned by trial and error. When I first started to submit to labels like I used to like just send the links, copy and paste, but then they will come back. These people didn’t know a shout-out to max at 380. When I first actually started to do this, they would respond and say: could you put it together in like a PDF for me, so I had to polish it up and say actually create a deck that had all their pictures.

I spend like hours on this thing on publisher on my Mac and put their analytics together, put this together and put their best in and not just that, but not doing pictures they took on the phone with professional photos hit shots, you know, taking the Getty image Photos that they’ve gotten over the over the past year and putting those things in there and polishing it up it changed it. Just it makes the presentation like everything’s about presentation.

You know, even when we come into a when I bring them to certain places like the presentation of how you walk into the room, how you guys work together, even if, when it comes on the phone going on a plane, because people realize that what I mean, What does that look like look, I like the fact that I mean shows that you, actually you know you do this right, because you have such small details that you think about.

I notice. What does that mean how we well, I make them. Look like the stars that they are so when we come in we’re just not doing anything. It looks like okay they’re on a mission there, so they’re they’re booked to be here. You know they’re already famous people know them, but it’s how we move about like I make sure that we’re all together and we’re there’s different activations in the room I’ll make sure that they’re doing the activations they’re taking the pictures I’ll see who the photographers are.

Even when it comes to music, see who the DJ’s are and get the people who just read different things and how I know, because I get feedback even when it comes to as small as it became like some subliminal now, because on the plane we travel together. Like we always travel together – and I had this – it was kind of weird, but there is this girl that sat next to me on the plane in like the Dayton next day, I got a DM for her.

I was like who is this she’s like? Oh, she sent just long messages. I don’t know who you guys are, but I saw how you work with with your with your group and how much how you took care of them, how you made sure that they had their seats first? How do you make sure that it was just a small sounds like wow? It was creepy at first, but I was like how does she found my butt that happens all the time and people see they see me not necessarily demanding them to do things, but how I’m working with them like pulling them to this back up I’ll.

Do this all the time like this is what we’re going to do. I prepped them before we. This is what we’re going to do. You’re going to walk into the room, there’s going to be interviews, there’s a red carpet. This is how you do your red car, because a lot of the first time doing this stuff is new for them. Like I had two girls that I worked with their mom famous ocean and kongfu, they have a hit song called savage out.

Car active get active and we were able to get activated through fresh Empire for the BT Hip, Hop Awards in Atlanta. They booked them to come there and then walk through a cup. They had never done anything anything before on that scale, so I say hey. This is what I want to do when you’re doing interviews. You need to make sure that you’re listening. So it’s like a development in a way you know, and people really kind of know this debt.

So I want to switch gears a little bit because obviously there’s all that that goes into management. But when we get into the things that people see on the front end that people get so curious about influences from and that’s these platforms from an artist standpoint from an influencer standpoint, we’re how do you look at Instagram, first and foremost, because we hear everybody knows That most people are on there, but then you hear people like Gary Vee saying if the graph is going down and then we start talking about other platforms, how do you look at Instagram and what’s the actual impact you’ve seen it had have on your business and Moves well, Instagram is definitely how sold name and just like wake up in the morning.

Is it’s just automatically in that thing like you want to go brush your teeth, you’re, going to check your Instagram, your Instagram lose to be take your tech messages, Facebook and Instagram. You know, but the thing is it’s been big for us: oh it’s, it has its own ups and downs like the algorithm. You know, but if you study it and you create make it a business and you make it a lifestyle and you keep up with it, then you’ll you’ll go with the flow.

Just like one of things. Oh, we were moving views and likes everybody else going crazy. My team we’re studying it when we look at it was like well, it’s going to be like story. I was going to hurt our brain. No, it won’t because guess what you still get story, promos and all the company’s going to do is see the analytics. Now you know it’s nothing’s going to change, so we’re really had to be. On top of you have to study it.

You got to be ahead of the curve because it’s in it for me for business like I, I can make sure it also helps me connect with other Creators too, like I usually can connect so easily, like I have so many DMS, especially from artists now, who Want to work with me, I have our build relationship with other micro influencers in I saw artists who small, but they have really good potential, so I don’t necessarily work with them like IQ the relationship I’ll give them some tips and ideas.

This is what you need to do, I’m looking at your page. You know so I’ll. Do some free consult, you know, but it helps me to connect to help me to actually stay relevant okay as well and for me knowing, what’s going on like it’s my business, to go down the timeline and see what’s going on, see what’s going viral, so I Can filter that back to my group into my life as well? It also helps me with business, because I don’t when other companies hit me up say: hey wan na do this campaign.

Alright, this thing is going viral. So, let’s use this when, when it’s time to create to help blow whatever product or brand that they have do you think there will be any point where it starts to fall in terms of almost like a bubble right. We know if launchers become more and more expensive on a platform like Instagram over time as they start to learn the game. They were super under price, and now they learn you know, then it start to charge more as they get bigger more money comes in, but then, when Instagram starts to mess with its algorithm and of course, if you’re like you write, y’all are learning it, which anybody Should be doing that artist or whoever, if you’re serious about it, you should take that approach, but just a general macro perspective of it is: let’s go to other platforms.

So do you think the price that y’all or a lot of influencers will have to charge will go down? I think it’s very competitive now, because, especially with a lot of labels like they, some of them are like tight budgets, but my group. Well, I tell them to adjust to who it is like. We like Warner, contacted us through TIG. Now you think it’s a game through Lucchese label and for our artists name poster, and they told me that we only have a thousand like we have more, of course, but we want to start with a thousand, because I want to test it out.

So I said usually roughly a lot of the bigger ones. They only got like maybe three hundred dollars for the post and uses a no less than 700 750 to 1000 and 2500. But I said you know just work with me: they’re going to test it out. They’re going to come back with more, they did and guess what they did. They came back with more so my group knows how to adjust and not just oh, if it’s not 5,000 for the post, I’m not doing it.

You know depend on who it is. You know now, if it’s somebody, that’s like small and like didn’t, of course, take it hard to just kind of wait, but they even if they are small, they still work with lemonade. Sometimes they they’ll just do it because they like the song, you know or they like the product, but it’s just like. I hate it because there are some influences who are just like a hose and they just won’t do anything if it’s not like you don’t have to do that.

You never know. What’s going to happen, you never know this person can blow up in their name artists and then now you like, damn I missed out on opportunity. I could’ve just posted it for him, like you’re, going to make content anyway. So just take the money you know. I know you’re not going to undermined yourself like Oh $ 50, for it now you know, but sometimes you just have to kind of work with people, because it is, it is super competitive, there’s, a lot of influences that are there are getting paid and there are Figuring it out so my group, why we create long term, like we’ve, been working with these labels in these brands for years, because they know how to just when it comes to price.

So that makes a huge difference, I’m here, because I definitely like doing influencer marketing and things like that. I’ve definitely ran into people with or been working on, something for an artist and seen them hit a certain number or or the people say hey. You got this and if you don’t have that for that budget they don’t even respond or I or now this is it this is it and you know some people will do like test campaigns and things like that.

But what you said made me really think about is the fact that that long-term relationship over time yeah, of course, oh, you can’t do it with everybody, because even when people reach out to me for certain um for certain things, you can’t do with everybody. You know diem get flooded, you got to still take care of yourself and what’s going on, but you never know what’s going to happen with somebody you know and where they’re going to be, and also you never know which you’re going to need.

Sometimes you’ll have a tighter budget, sometimes you’ll have a greater budget for you as a manager. Is that kind of one of your did? You feel like you ever had to Train influencers to think that way? Yes, okay, because they don’t know like a lot of them. Just blow up out of nowhere, they had no business skill, they will not respond to stuff they’ll. Just do things very sloppy, like a lot of my time, I’m like really are cuz they’re, especially younger ones.

They don’t know, but I mean well and they know that and I’m you be going at it consistently, but is the ending we’ll get to this later, but like a lot of them, they’re like my brothers and sisters. So it’s like, we have a relationship, so I can do that, like I like what y’all doing like I had so few craters over here. They release a song, but they say here dance until another song said what the heck are ya doing: y’all released a song y’all you’ve made not one trill on your own song, you what’s this dog, it’s all I get to it like.

So it’s just like. I stay on them and I did this jacket available. You have artist development, that’s influenced your development and that’s something that we focus on too, because exactly even when it comes to creating the content like make sure that you created like cuz, it’s like they’ll do a lot of things and they’ll just put it up, and Then the people will come back and they’re like sometimes three or four times, and they didn’t like it.

I’m sorry we’ll put effort into it, don’t just just because, even if it’s I don’t care, if it’s, even if it’s three hundred, if you’re 300, our project should look just the same as your your your ten thousand dollar project always give quality, no matter what it Is and because people it’s about your image, you know they can’t even decipher keep it consistent like one who answer he poses something, and I said he they always saw some of them.

They had to send for approval. I say you know you know you didn’t want to do that, whose are you right you right, I’m going to redo it. I’m like come on just do it right the first time I get it out of the way yeah cuz. They they a lot of them. They so spoiled that they say, oh even when it comes to YouTube articles like oh, it’s just like a job time like what you don’t do, nothing you get up from your room.

Now I would say it is work, but you rather go work at Taco Bell or you will. Wake up out of your bed, create a dope article and post it and get paid to your PayPal, cash shop or whatever or a wire transfer. And you move on about your day: you’d make a decision, oh god, so as you found success personally, how how? How have you changed right and your approach to the game and how you see the industry, as you start, to work more and more with them? Music, as you way before this, I was, I started as a like network marketer.

Okay, like I sold like all the super juices, all the weight loss stuff. Yes, I had that skill, so there that’s the basis of my last interview. I did that that’s the basis of my life. I did that since I was 18 for like 10 years, so all the personal development, like I mean I so well, I got BMWs from companies like I built and I was able to qualify several people on my team. So that’s where the the personal development came to be able to work with people and be a to cross-cultural communication, because the companies were so big we would go like if so many different international law different nationalities.

A part of the company like I had to learn like all these people from Japan, these people from here, so I had to learn very to communicate. So that’s where the communication – it’s straight-up – transferable they’re, not yet. I can see that already then yeah. How have you adjusted as just a business person in general? Have you thought, hey there’s this greater level that you want to do with the music like? Is there still or entertainment? Is there a higher ceiling that you have there, or are you trying to immediately start to flip into outside other industries um? Well, I have other things going on which helps me focus on what I really love like.

I have never been B business like being different. Real estate things so I have other stuff, that’s operational and I still receive residuals from companies that I’ve done network marketing, but when it comes to influencers and the music, like my goal, like I’m shifting into the next level things I’m learning like at a 3 C, I was really learning like I’m learning from these. I have several mentors in the industry that I look up to like you know, QC, like Coach, K and P.

I really look up to them to have several other ones that I am super close to like footy over. He owns any a, never eat alone studios. They have artists, 24 heavy cash, talk and Mari, so lil. They know that mentor me because they hey. I listen when I talking I’m really listening and that’s the thing is, I don’t know nothing about music, I’m really listening. Even boo, a country like he works with the girls that I work with as well, and I’m really learning I’m literally listening.

Like I’m quiet like I’m nothing about music, nothing that I like, I do so they’re actually mentor me. They don’t really know it. So it helps me to go to the next level and I ask questions even though even working with Jason over at stream cut like I’m literally learning and I like women. Maybe they don’t know that when I asked a question, I’m listening, you know and I’m going to apply that. So it helps polish me because I’m going higher like my goal for 2020 is to get at least three of them.

Sign to a deal are three of the artist influences. A lot of everyone that I work with are influences. They just started you you music, now in it. Yes, some of your music in it really talented, yeah, really dreams of going like eat. Clams ocean come cool, like their song. Savage has over a million streams on Apple music in like a 900k on Spotify. They released this stuff and they wanted articles. Has four million views on these articles for music views on YouTube, so they release stuff, it’s good and they put the same quality of work in as like these bigger artists in and how the industry is a lot of the artists.

Big artists are trying to do the social media trying to get the social media, but they already got it. So a lot of labels are signing them just because of that and they’re getting bigger deals and the best deals that makes sense they bring value. Yes. So for me, what changed me like, I’m shifting from just all just doing this, to trading a solid management company in a solid label, so we’re the ones who are managing I’ll, be able to shift them to the label and hidden.

You know how all those different layers of things work, however, that works, I’m still learning it’s going to happen. Trust me because a lot of them are already being contacted by the law and I’m facilitating a lot of a lot of the label stuff when it comes today. Philosophy because it sounds like it’s what you’re doing or how you think. Primarily you work within the influencer market with translating that into music right and it sounds like that’s the business that takes most of your day-to-day attention.

Yes and but then you mentioned other things that you’re doing Airbnb business, the residual income from network marketing, and maybe any other thing it sounds like you have put energy into other things, but the other thing where you put your money elsewhere, it doesn’t require your attention. Is that correct right? So it’s like you always want to have unlimited, like streams, income, multiple streams of income, so I for the first part of my life, I focus on one thing and then is what it begins: typical my base and every now and then I’ll.

Just kind of like go in and do small things to kind of keep it going. They’re going to be businesslike is just automatic for me, like it’s really easy to do long, as I make sure that I’m managing it. But this is like my main focus because things go up and down. Excuse me, even when it comes to the influencers, there’s different phases of different markets that sometimes it’s high market, like like first of the year spring summer summer, like movement and then like right, now, is kind of like it’s like it’s not super slow.

It’s like not as much because they’re who reached out to me, you got any promos, no I’m working on them nobody’s, especially when how the music industry flows like when it comes to the end of the year, nobody’s really kind of dropping campaigns. Could I want to wait to the first of the year to do that run so I’ll. Make sure that, like my businesses are because once one business here, the other business skin here and keep it going, you know and then in a best world all I’m doing! Well, with the you’ll be all over the place, but do you have to put people in place to kind of run different things, so I put my every business.

I have cleaners that I can hire to come in here and do all these things. You know so. Yeah, it is, it’s super important to make sure you have all that, but that helps me focus on cuz. I’m super passionate about the management, business and the social media, influence and management artists, because, like everyone, I work with this. I’ve been knowing them for like five years, it’s four or five years, and because what Robbie has I’ve been knowing the longest, but I’m it’s a passion when it comes to it like, I really want to see them win because they’re connecting me.

That’s like somebody who I just met not like some people. Some people actually go out to find people to manage my oh. Let me go here, I’m with our managers person. No, they all came to me or or we all knew each other and we figure this thing out. Let’s, how do we make this work? You know and because there’s a different approach, a different passion and it hits different way. Your family with who you work with yeah, so you it’s almost like building from a lifestyle, stand yeah a philosophy.

It’s like I’ve built my life, so I can focus on the area, I’m most passionate about yep and unfortunately, they area that you’re passionate about it’s. Also, a good business yep good, all right. So what do you we’ve talked about these these platforms and obviously you know tik-tok and trailer. We had that conversation which one do you have a favorite one o the other and then, if so, why? In terms of just your personal use, not necessarily saying that other platform is bad um when it comes to like, I just started to really use.

I like tik-tok, because you can really get kind of creative Triller. I like, because it’s for the it’s like more like for the culture like a lot of the artists or using Triller and not just to be biased, but like the trailer fam messes with us, like they work together. So, like I kind of like truly really took us to the office there, and we, you know, told us about you know and it’s simple a lot cuz the platform is very simple and anybody can use it even like an older person can use it.

I think that’s why all the artists, even though the the veteran artists are jumping on and they can just use it or click this you get the song boom, unlike tik-tok, is like all these different things you got. Ta put all these. It’s just it’s crazy that you really have to learn it, but once you learn it you’ll do it. So I mean I would go with trilha first, because it’s it’s a lot simple and it’s like more for the culture and more really what we do.

You know. I work with a lot of the dancers. You know when it comes to social media, and this is a way to go, but they’re, jumping on shoe tick-tock now and they’re, getting a million for holism my mom and going it one of them create as soon as she created. She was at 10,000 followers in an hour. She just started. Posting announced a once on her story and boom. It just started to explode yeah, but tick tock is, is the next wave I like it, because it really can take you to that next level of content, but results.

Oh yeah, each one is just different. It’s going to do something different, I believe, definitely YouTube. You, like YouTube, will change your life and its total is like 9 day, though, because, like ideal is 90 day cuz, I deal with a lot of these real life youtubers in real life instagramers, and sometimes the youtubers looked down on creators like instagram creators like because It’s one of my bros just shake frost and like Robbie that we’re all frenzy to shake shout out to the shake hill.

Why are you doing this like you? Just they don’t they don’t like there’s too much work on Instagram. They believe for a little of nothing because they see it differently but like if you are creator, you were created a lot of the Instagram. I must look at the youtubers, like oh they’re, little douchebags, who do nothing and have no creativity. You know so it’s like night and day like and they battle each other.

Then it’s like clicks like. Oh, this is a youtube click Instagram Cleo. We don’t click together. Like it’s so we’re, like you see this blog, I can go to LA you’ll notice it but they’re all still friends, but it’s like there’s a like dial. We had the YouTube exactly so it’s like it’s it’s night day, but YouTube. Would I’ve seen it bro instagram has changed lines, but I’ve seen a lot of the creator’s get on YouTube and I mean they’re, making twenty thirty thousand a month like we’ve died, read the shade like.

I saw all this do this, but I read the shade, like literally go for nothing to jump on buying a new g-wagen moving his family from one part of the LA to it in the best part of LA and we’re all the parties, because we like we’re Seeing this and I’m like bro, I’m so proud of you just out of nowhere just start to blow up even lana the –, i’m running a lot of the the two girls famous ocean and kungfu.

The two sisters like they have literally they did nothing like – went that they had like almost 300,000 subscribers on youtube and they didn’t even create, but they just started to create these dope articles and like one hit, and we did a prank actually, if this our last Week came from a prank, she did like this prank on her boyfriend. He got really mad. He was like he’s like. I tried to get him down, and this happened, but that article is about to hit a million yeah about the hit of million views.

Is that six hundred, maybe several hundred K now in like a few days and that one article has made, is making like thousands of dollars and I’m like y’all, you see if you create creating, can’t keep pumping and she pumped the next article. It went like a hundred thousand like two hours like if using I keep pumping I’ll keep pumping, keep pumping cuz, that’s money in time. We all have these goals yeah, I want to buy g-wagen.

I want to move your family here. Y’All want to live in these condos, it’s so easy to do because YouTube and came to become like that residual base of your life, where you know you’re going to get 5,000 to 10,000 a month, and then you can go and create yeah just off that article. In doing those articles, that’s going to make you go viral they’re already going viral just to copy. You know it’s so easy to do it.

You sit here and put a ring light up and do whatever it is, and just pranks challenges vlogs like because people wanted their fans can see another perspective of their life. They see the inside. They really want to read that you know and that’s why YouTube is it’s hard though it doesn’t convert, don’t think you’re going to go on Instagram and didn’t blow up your YouTube. No, it’s a whole other different algorithm.

It’s a whole nother different way of doing things and once you’ve figured it out, you can master. You could really do some big things with exactly yep, because they just did one for the first time famous ocean kung-fu, and they had to do what’s called lash BAE with these lashes and they want it like this 30-second 10-second clip in the front, and it was Like honey, that’s like well, it goes in the front, it’s like it was like.

How do I say it? How do I do it, so they got paid a couple thousand to do that. There’s a lot of artists right that have a perspective against doing what your influences are actually right. There’s this conversation where a lot of artists feel like you can’t translate over from an influencer to an artist. It’s my true! I don’t understand he still give themselves to believe that the proof is going to put him that hat.

But what do you? I don’t know? What do you say to this statement like? Well? It’s not true, like I know for a fact, because a lot of the because you could take in like you didn’t notice like a lot of the influences, there were artists they blow it like look. Narthex technically was an influencer troll. That’s why he does the things he does, because it is, you know, and you master and you put things out on certain platforms.

It’s going to blow up and they’re really take talents. It there’s. No, I mean, even if you are not talented, you can get a writer and you can go into the development phase and get a dope beat and it can go. You know it’s just because anything can be created nowadays, but then a lot of them were really passionate about music. So if you’re passionate about it, it’s nothing you can. They can do it, you know, and they got some good stuff in the streams in there I mean I have an influencer that I work with Lovato like he was waiting and freaking Philippines doing.

He was on a YouTube stage exposed to event in a in Asia. Like from a song like, it’s crazy, got verified and blowing up as an artist and with no label. None of that just management. Do you think so, obviously he’s moving a lot of people might not know him right, but do you think that maybe they might kill a lot of artists before they even get started by trying to see that type of popularity and for approval that you don’t really Have to have like, oh this art with the guy you talked about, but oh he’s, killing it and what he’s doing and he and there’s more growth to happen.

But another artist might say: oh well, this isn’t a little baby, alright and I’m trying to be a little baby, and I hear – and I want to have this – this traditional type of record label proper popularity that I’ve seen growing up well, it’s a world is so Big and if you leave that concept alone, you’ll make you’ll do well, you look at artists like Russ. Like live, people don’t even know who he is, but he has stadiums that are packed out and he’s making money and without being like this mainstream name, he has a mainstream name was like mainstreaming in certain niches like us.

We don’t. I never was like it’s weird, because the world is so big like a lot of artists who power like when it come from. They have a million followers and they do a show, and people show up like your fan base. As long as you focus on catering to your fan base and everything else will take off – and it’s good to be like that little baby name or like like that arm, whatever the big names, are it’s good to be that? But you know sometimes if you set your own goal and you said you get what you want like you may just your goal may just perform in front of 30,000 and make you know enough money to live like a superstar and you happy and it didn’t do That somehow, I don’t think some people want to be like, like super super stars, but if you tell us it, you really we’re at some point it’s going to come to that point.

You know whose talent will really take you to the next level. I think that’s important this whole idea that people are still in prison by their own, like local geography were in a world where you don’t have to do that. Yeah right and if you have the time when you said you got ta, find your family. And now you can monetize it without even going and overseas, if you don’t really want to, but of course then going overseas get touring checks or yeah.

Whatever kind of show you can do, give you’re just an influencer, but that’s it’s interesting that people are still confined to those ideas where the door is opening. You look in the other direction, yeah. Okay. My last question that I would like to get to it do: is I brand? What does that word mean to you and how do you protect it? Okay, so brand is super important. So it’s uh, it’s like a speaker spotlight that amplifies the perception of what you’re doing not necessary so a product but like how it’s perceived overall to people in this also like a culture in a way like the experience.

So the brand is like a culture experience. This is like a speaker, that’s speaking, that’s amplifying everything about you, what you’re doing or what you have to offer with a spotlight on it. Yes, because you’re kind of choosing that amplification area versus the other aspects of you myself, all right, just like Apple in a way Apple Bryn is not the iPhone or the iPod is the brand, is the coolness of the product.

The way it’s perceived like? Oh I’m going to getting the Apple, because this is the best for creativeness. It goes beyond the products, even the boxing. Oh, this phone looks cool or the camera like it goes beyond just what it is. How do you protect the brain? Well, you protect your brand by knowing well first doing what’s right in serving the way you should serve and providing a product or service to people the right way and things happen, handle it because all brands go through phase with this bad press, but you just handled It respond, you know or fix a lot of people take like different reviews and different things that they’re saying that’s wrong offensive.

No, it helps you to become a greater greater product, a greater brand, a greater person. So, like I mean you protect it by responding the right way in and adjusting and also being putting yourself in a position to where you could stay relevant. There’s a lot of these brands like go obsolete because they don’t adjust to what’s going on just like Blockbuster and Netflix. You know so you have to be ahead of the curve you have to understand, keep reading it, keep studying, what’s happening in the world and shift what your brand to roll with the flow.

Everybody is keep Dorsey once again, really dope social-media, influencer manager, but obviously an artist manager now, and I think he’s going to be somebody that is just going to be one read over the years and obviously the people connected with them because he’s already killing it already With your IG is young, young buzz doesn’t see you. I know I was going to forget a part of it, so I’m going to put all that.

You know I’m on the bottom of the screen, make sure y’all follow them, reach out to them. Hope they don’t flood you too hard. You know, look it’s all of that. Just do what you need. I can handle it. I can handle it, but this is the first of a series brand or a die again. We’ve talked to meaningful and individuals. Who’ve been a part of building, I’m a great brand or have great insights on branding themselves.

Thank you once again appreciate it. Everybody say too

Why shoot a blog

The number one reason you should article blog is going to be told to you at the end of this article, but all the other points are really important to like it will help you stand out from your competitors last year.

Seventy percent of internet traffic was article, but only a fraction of business owners were using article to promote their business. So if you use article, you are going to be doing something different from your competitors. The next reason why article blogging is great: it’s because it gives you so much of that lovely Google juice. You know when you put something on the net and Google finds it above somebody else’s now, because google owns youtube and you put your article on youtube and you also embed it in your blog.

You have two opportunities for your article, your blog, your information to be found, one on youtube and one on google and there’s another thing. You can share your article. You can share on facebook, you can share on twitter and people are more likely to share a article than they are any other media article blogging, and this is a good one. It’s a very cost, effective way of marketing your business.

Now, if you were john lewis, you could spend a million pounds getting a wonderful christmas, animated advert may and a further six million to make sure it was in people’s homes on the telly at the time they were sitting down reading it, though peak times yeah, but You don’t have seven million and if you did you wouldn’t be reading this blog and wait if you do and if you do have several million – and you want me to help you tell you happy to I’ve – got a BAFTA nomination for animation.

I digress, set up your smartphone on a tripod, get a little microphone from some vlogs chat about what you do. Stick it on the Internet. It costs you nothing and you are getting your message out there. I said at the beginning. I was going to give you the number one reason why, like article blogging works, it gives potential clients the opportunity to decide whether they want to work with you or not.

When people read you on article, they feel like they know you that step number one. You want people to think they know you, then, after a while they start to like you now, hopefully you like me, you, if you didn’t, you probably wouldn’t be reading unless you just decided you’re going to learn something and that’s fine too, once you know somebody and You, like somebody, the next step, is trusting them and over a period of time through article people get to trust you and they get to trust you far quicker than if they were reading articles or blogs that you drink.

So once someone knows likes and trusts you that’s the time they put their hand in their pocket and starts paying you to do something if you’re an entrepreneur, sole trader or run a small business, and you want to start using article to help your business stand out From your competitors and you’re not sure quite what to do, click on there can I help you tab below register for a 303, a free free, a free 30-minute consultation with me and hopefully I’ll be able to talk properly by then, and we can chat about any Article related issue: I look forward to hearing from you my name’s Neil, been I’m a article coach and I under tell you something I’m going to sleep, hey Rula.

Excuse me: it’s an awful lot to bother to set up a camera. Oh excuse me, I’d better start again. Have you ever heard of a photo going viral? No people share articles. Okay! Aha! Excuse me now, I said at the beginning I was going to give you the mum lump mumba member you’ve been reading this article for a while, and maybe some of my other vlogs and you kind of like me. If you don’t that’s fine, we can’t love all like love.

Do you love me if you do and you’re about to my foot, one you’ve got blonde hair. Don’t know it’s pretty nickel again, I digress ah got to do it again.

How I Tripled My Youtube Income – How To Make Money Online

This article is just to share with you guys how I was able to triple my YouTube income and the sort of strategies that I used and implemented. So if you are reading this – and you were also somebody who was trying to up their YouTube game going to figure out tick, tick, try to figure out tricks and tips on the ways to grow your blog that have worked at least for me.

I figure if I can help at least one person out this article has done its job, I’m going to say the sentence I have never uttered before that. I never thought I would uh derp, but here it is YouTube just paid my mortgage payment. It just did during the month of August I kind of changed my strategy. I decided mid to late July that I was going to upload a article every single day Monday through Friday, and each Monday was going to be a specific theme.

Tuesday was going to be a theme Wednesday, Thursday Friday and I sat down with my Google Calendar. I will outline this along the way, so you know exactly how I did this and if I miss something and if you have any questions, let me know down below in the comment anyway. I sat down two weeks before August first and I opened my Google Calendar and I viewed it on the month like not the week not the day.

I can see the entire month of August on the screen and I went and color-coded all the Monday’s in one color Tuesdays, Wednesdays, so on and so forth from there. I knew that Monday was going to be this topic. Tuesday was going to be this topic and from the knowledge of the topics I made lists of you know, I need five Mondays for this month, but I’m going to have six or seven different ideas and I kind of just organized all the Mondays Tuesdays Wednesdays.

So, by the end of the week in July, I had the entire month of August planned out with articles that was step one step. One is kind of the easy part of the game sitting down and saying: okay, here the days they’re going to go up, step, twos Rick, it’s a little more complicated. That’s when I sat down and said okay, what days of the week am I going to film these cuz? I need one day for each week I work a full-time job.

I was doing a show. I work with clients online, so I work full-time job, music, business, YouTube clients and I was in a musical all at once, so I actually decided I didn’t want to cut out any time for family and friends. So I woke up at 5:30 or 6 o’clock on filming days granted not a morning person. I actually did a article on how to become a morning person which I will link right above in the cards, because I had to become one real, quick anyway.

Jumping back on track, so I believe it was Wednesday, Thursday and Friday three days a week, I would wake up two hours early and getting up two hours earlier, for those three days gave me six hours of time and in those six hours each week. I would film five articles edit plan their uploads like their thumbnails, their copy their SEO. All that stuff would be figured out, and then I use the YouTube scheduler once they were all set and done.

I also made it really easy. Some people like to use like their iPhones or their iPads, to write out their ideas. I was keeping lot of my stuff on steno pad, so I would know it would say the day of the week like the topic like if we were talking YouTube or money. Your budget or self-improvement it would stay down, it would say down here then I would have the exact title of the article and then all the notes, so I would have it all there for me and it was just very organized.

I think one of the biggest misunderstandings with youtubers is people think, oh, we just sit in front of a camera and talk and upload it and that’s great, we’ll figure out a topic when we get there. There is so much writing and planning and strategy that goes into this, even if you’re just doing a article by yourself July, I did a collaboration article with nine other blogs, so that was planning and scheduling for not just me, it was ten.

Ladies, we are going to get a gentleman in the next one. I promise anyway so step. One was the planning on the calendar step two was implementing when the filming was going to be done and waking up and becoming a morning person and getting myself six extra hours in the week, and if that was enough, Sept 3 was figuring out when to edit. It’s one thing: you just sit down and say here are my filming times, but then, if you don’t have time to edit it, that filming was for nothing.

So I sat down and said here are the times I’m going to dedicate strictly to editing and, to be very honest, I’m a little bit of an ad D kind of person like if I know I have a lot of stuff to do. I have to put everything else away and focus like I’m. Not super ATD like see a squirrel and freak out, but if I have a lot of things to do in one day, I have to like have it on a list and dedicate times and blocks to do them.

There’s an app I’ve actually used on sponsored app. I’ve actually mentioned it in previous articles. It’s called tide, it’s just a free productivity, app it just times out 25 minutes. Camera died, that’s fun anyway, it is a free productivity app and what it does is it times out 25 minutes for you and it’ll play music. Without any words or just background sounds for 25 minutes, then it will ding once those 25 minutes have passed and then you have to schedule yourself a 5 to 15 minute break.

What I like to do is I’ll make a list and I’ll say: ok in this 25 minutes, I’m going to focus on getting a done once everything on list a is done. I can start the break early or if the timer goes off in list 8. Isn’t done, I will go back and finish it once I take that 15 break. If you guys do want to try tied, I will have it linked down below. If you wanted to look it up, it’s free in the App Store – and it just really helps me – keep focused then once the planning, the filming, the editing is all done, then the fun part of just uploading it and then scheduling and designing the thumbnail and when It’s going to go up all that stuff kind of took place afterwards and finally, after all, that work was done, I did everything I could to optimize views on those articles.

I feel like I’m mentioning previous articles in this one, but if you missed my how to optimize your YouTube views and get more views to your blog I’ll link it up here only because I don’t want to have to re-emphasize all those things and that article is Just very focused on it, but I wanted to try and get as many eyeballs on my articles in the first 24 to 48 hours, because that’s what helps it show up in search later and again.

That is all talked about in that article up above, but things I did. Is I utilized all my social media forms. There are certain ways that I would post to my facebook or my Instagram or my Twitter again. Those are discussed up above in the card. I’m just going to keep sending that over and over again, because there are certain ways that work better on each platform. If you’re interested good and check that out – and then the last thing I did, that is kind of new for me to do is I was emailing my email list like every Friday, just updates hey, if you missed it, here’s something new Instagram stories.

I would just screenshot the picture or the icon of the new article going out and I would say: hey guys new article link and bio. You know all that fun stuff, but the email list was really nice because I could see who opened the email who clicked? What article so I could see what kind of topics my followers were interested in and then I would hand those articles over to my clients as well to show them.

You know here’s what I’m working on is there anything that you would like to UM that you see on these articles that you want to do for yourself or include in your articles, I’m finding it really rewarding to just sit down with clients over Skype and just Kind of discuss their goals and my goals, but it is also nice to share with them my article, so they can see you don’t here’s what Kristen’s doing here’s, how she’s implementing here, all the steps she is taking and this article is kind of just like scratching.

The surface everything that we talked about in those sessions, but I did want to share with you guys this kind of milestone again. This is not a brag. Look at me sort of thing I just want to share with you guys what I was doing, because I’ve been getting a lot of emails. 99.9 % of them are really nice and encouraging, like hey girl, saw your blogs really grow into putting a lot of work into this. I can tell, and there’s always the one or two that are just emailing and saying things like.

I know that you’re cheating the system and you’re buying views you’re buying subscribers curve. I were buying subscribers. I would have more than five thousand subscribers. Anyway. I try not to really respond to the haters or the trolls, because they’re going to be there, I feel, like I got this far from that hard work and on top of everything we’ve just previously talked about in this process, I was taking at least three or Four classes online, like during my lunch breaks or in between projects at work, I would take like 15-minute breaks and take notes on just online classes and interviews that talked about everything from SEO: the best ways to market social, a marketing, a filling marketing like I feel, Like I got a third education, I feel like I not have a third degree just because I sat down I’ve on my third notebook of notes.

People would think I’m absolutely insane and they’re probably right, but I wanted to sit down and kind of make a article explaining here’s why there was so much growth. Here’s what happened to my blog! If anybody wants this to happen to them, here’s how I did I’m not saying it will happen for you, it might or may not. You might have a better. You know response than I did, I’m just letting you know here the things that I did and I don’t regret it.

I feel like that was the biggest challenge I’ve ever given myself for a summer days. That would start at 5 o’clock in the morning and not end until 11 o’clock at night. Those were tough days, but now that the hard work is done, I’ve never woken up in the morning and said man. I feel really bad that I got up and caught all that stuff done just put in the work put in the work. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to leave them down in the description box.

If you want to email me any specific questions, personally, you can email them. My email address is also listed below. *urgent INFLUENCER TIPS: How to Work with Brands on Sponsorships and Collaborations

It means you’re under valent yourself. You don’t know what to measure. When you don’t know what to measure girl girl, you’re going to get run over by truck alright guys. You seem to really like it when I talk about social media growth and doing my makeup, so we’re going to do that. Hey guys, my name is Jay nice to meet you. What’s up welcome to my blog today we’re talking about influencers and brands and how to properly price yourself.

This is something that I’m so passionate about as influencers. Maybe we don’t price ourselves enough. We don’t know how much we charge I wish we should charge. We don’t know our value and as a brands, we don’t know how to come up to these influencers. I kind of make this small little thing happen. I think it’s important to finally bring justice, so this is different than most other youtubers they’re going to be like.

Okay, you subsetted see how much you charge. Okay, no, no, no guys need to understand the number one problem we’re going to go over is finding and communicating the right kpi’s business. This is called key performance index. I don’t know that term. It’s about to get real freakin repetitive up in here a little bit of background if you’re curious, why I’m talking what I? Why I’m here, my name is Jade.

I’m an entrepreneur and I’ve been helping people grow on social media yeah like the if you’re curious, to know a lot of the knowledge I do have his first-hand experience. This is not some well. No. This is first-hand experience. My family owns marking agency working with two to five million dollar revenue brands anyways, if you feel like an influencer and not knowing what to post, not only what to price yourself, how to come up to brands or on the reverse you’re on our brand.

And you don’t know how to communicate to the influencer, make sure you give this article a like and subscribe this blog if you’re excited to just dive right in you know what this is hella value right here, hella freakin value, all right, I’m just currently getting ready For a coffee meeting, and then I have a few other coaching calls. So if I look a little crazy, I’m just playing with makeup, let me let it be: let it be grace the way this article is going to work is first, I’m going to tell you guys a story to really give you guys some context.

So you really understand it. Sorry, if I talk a lot, it’s just really for your own benefit and I’m going to go into how to price yourself and then, lastly, I’m going to go to how to negotiate and keep going with brand and the benefits hey. The car also I’m going to eat and drive. If this is what do I favorite things ever, it’s dairy-free ice cream looks like this dairy-free and beautiful. Don’t you worry, I’m getting into the meat the core value of this article, I’m just going to eat this? Okay, so what I did is I took some of your GM’s and put them into question.

Okay hold up. Is that chocolate on my lips, a hack, I’m such a mess. I have truly apologized. I think one story I did what at all was just one that kind of got me a little bit mad. Why I wan na create this article like it truly got me upset like have you ever like burnt a pissed off, but then you started thinking about a mourning. You started overthinking and then you were like really pissed off. Think what I hope.

What happened was just actually was a few months ago, I’m Brants occasionally send me emails through my personal brand. They would have sponsor great right and I was responding to a few and one of them started off good. It’s a brand that I can’t do their neighbor non-disclosure, but what I do know is this brand was selling a product. It was a subscription model, it’s kind of like Netflix. You know like their monthly subscription model product.

I think monster days I was like cool cool. Like I was agreeing with everything they’re saying, they’re sending me their product now, what really come each throat office after I said. Yes, they felt like they had to undervalue my my audience and my skill. So they started asking for more saying: okay, that’s not enough! They were adding more and more on top of it, and so I couldn’t have enough. They were literally asked me to link this product like this.

Also use this okoto so make multiple posts, and I feel like there’s a limit. You can get free products forever and ever but there’s a limit. So, oh okay, so what I’m going to say is but the story with a subscription bottle brand. I just realized there. Everything is fine, you can charger self. Whatever you want. There’s no rules. You can barely you, don’t even have to listen to me, but there’s a limit.

Oh influencers on your freaking employees, I’m going to do whatever you want. You have to treat you with fairness, which brings me to my first languages and I think brands going to do their research. So many of them – I don’t know if you guys saw xx. Some of them are just like. I love your gotten so much. I love like your fashion, and it’s just so generic I feel I have brands, did their research on influencers and, if ones we actually feel like they they weren’t cared like.

I don’t know if you guys ever get some random-ass emails, but they weren’t. They were personalized. They weren’t for you. It was a vast distribution you’re like a big company. Then I get it, but a lot of you guys don’t give money. I know a lot of your brands out there. I know have no money you’re, not so treat your filter as well and make them feel value. I’m telling you, when you make your team feel a value and they will promote your product.

You can sell brands to your research. I think it’s also needed a better KPI know. What’s a KPI, you might have KPI stands for key performance index. This is using every business. I think that not enough influencers know what KPIs worries me. This is what you’re going to make money off of they’re, not going to make money off of the likes sulloway’s that you have to know your value and wherever you please say you have to be strategic.

For example, I worked with a brand and you like them and they’re going to pay you per view. You have to know, that’s your KPI, your key performance impact, but you measure success upon that could be like that can be followers, but that could be legitimate sales, but the fact I’m not enough influencers know what the KPIs are. Is scary means your undervalue yourself. You don’t know what to measure when you don’t know what to measure girl-girl you’re, going to get run over by a truck people are going to take advantage of.

You say my brand. It’s all I going to do is just take. Take take as much as possible. So you have to be good fair. So that’s what ever attempted to know your KP honestly. This is not something the tutorial. If you guys want. I can do a whole article on how to provide yourself cusp influencer. Just let me know in the comment section: if you have any questions, let me know I’m really here to help you regardless.

I just don’t know if you’re so far enjoyed this article in this article, like I truly appreciate it, it’ll be the world to me. Comment below her attention is my oxygen, so something’s up accrual back to how to price yourself in general. I think a keep after everything. So what I would do is take your KPI, an example of what could be followers right. Your followers are giving to Braille to do comments and share it’s, not even that ego so due to the sales, if you do, how many sales are you bringing to them? So you pick one and the suppose this I can go into the steps later, but you want to know how many true fancy companies just do simple, math, ready, ready.

Okay, take the number of two fans you have times the average cost of the product you’re working with equals. How much you’re up to charging up the key word is up to ransom. Do your research make people feel value and influencers know what your value is simple as that and don’t ever under face yourself. I would have actually finished this conversation, but we’re going to go meet Brett at first, I’m going to show you guys he owns my sock company, hey guys in a second stay tuned.

You guys know where we are. This is like my favorite coffee shop right now called Oracle coffee. I ordered my latte and I like this place because look this drawers are metal they’re like metal, save the environment. No straws are horrible for the environment. There should have worn a bra with this outfit. Like I’m going to flash the world, I don’t know why just okay, everybody out of my vlog I’ve, never been in a vlog.

Hey guys, I’m here with Brennan. What do you do? We take white socks and actually fifteen okay is that these are Jade. Socks supports your fine. What you for this picture, Instagram wow yeah, I think, wait. Wait! You’re like a size, 9 yeah, missing shoes, I’ll put a pop time right here, all our Brennan, okay, listen! I just found this fidget Birkin spinner in my garage literally my parents. Not let me get a pictures better when it was cool and trendy, because about stupid you know chief asses and now found one thanks.

I’m really happy okay, so today I’m going to crap off this conversation for earlier. I think this leaves us with one question. I think it’s just what, if you’re too small, for a Brit, what, if you’re too small bits for this or what, if you don’t have any more followers? What, if you just don’t, have any much like foreign influence there. You know, and you just can’t be an influence if you don’t have like some followers like janitors question, I’m going to backtrack a little bit.

I think I saw I mean Brendan. Had coffee, not really. We actually just had outside and talked didn’t get coffee, but um, but I wanted to say was: I think he and I were talking just about starting your personal brand, and one of the questions Vernon actually asked me was like Jay would have like this YouTube thing. Doesn’t work or does it lose credibility if you do YouTube and like got bad reputation? What if you lose followers what, if what have you lose just? What have you is? The thing I have to just say is you guys have to realize what you’re doing with influencer marketing being in brand is basically entrepreneurship.

You got ta be able to take risk literally the word entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship means risk risk risk equals willing to fail. A lot of you guys are trying to like sugarcoat buffer this like okay. Let me like minimize my chances actually just finishing up a coaching call with one of you guys, one of my students and I think, she’s just asking how to like safety jacket around my results, and I want a clear direction.

I don’t got a clear path if you wanted a clear path: go get a job. You chose this path because you want to clean your own. So don’t act like this is so easy. So what I’m going to say is what, if you’re too small or what, if you have enough likes or what, if you fail, you build a bridge and get over at Karen. I’m sorry I’ve been hanging on to Ryan a lot and then we just been saying Karen. I don’t know why I can pick these names.

Oh is a Karen or Susan. I think too many people have the what-ifs and they don’t start. So I guess, if you’re too small of an influencer think about your KPIs, are you measuring the right thing? Brands don’t give a about how many followers you have they care about the attention you hold? How many people are you actually having the attention of? Because you got to know, know these things Millennials they scroll, fast or Instagram.

Just because someone likes your photo doesn’t mean doesn’t mean you can do it all over any sales. You have to know your value first, you have to be confident on what you do. Take a risk and don’t look back just you know, move forward. If your brand says no move on boo, Karen there’s a thousand other brands, you can email. This is a numbers game. You try one who wants the next, that’s what you have to keep your PR list full.

So this brings me to my last point: if a brand rejects you do the following, get over it you’re going to have to do this over and over again, if you can’t take a slap in the face get the out. This is competitive and you need to build yourself some confidence and armor, because nobody wants to follow anybody that doesn’t have what they want. People will follow someone because they won’t have the lifestyle they want.

They have something they want if you’re, not confident in the product or selling, especially and just if you’re, not confident in your product. Your own articles, your own content. No one wants a follow. No, you need to love your product. Love yourself love your own account of what you’re selling with a brand. If you don’t actually love it, you’re not going to get that sale, stop mentoring. Kpi is y’all.

I’ve got tired. I actually just want to leave this off on a positive note, and just let you know I’m here for you, I just I don’t know why are reading this article. Sometimes it blows my mind that, like thirty five freaking thousand of you are here reading me, you guys are amazing, and all I want to do is keep creating content to help you as much as I’m busy with my own business, and I actually just posted a Podcast about the similar topic about failure and losing likes check it out.

Red Dead VS. – Legendary Wolf

Series so today we’re going to be trying to tackle the legendary wolf and is going to be interesting. I believe he’s up here, bingo yep up here, so we’re going to be tackling this big boy yeah. So it’s going to be knife versus big boy. I’m here to see. If I could out maneuver him, I will so let me explain: the rules are arriving there.

So my knife versus series I’m going to try to kill you know a specific animal that would not be the game mmm, it’s mostly bugs and legendre animals, but you know I might do other animals wants me. Don’t let your animals in essence, I have to kill the animal. Wouldn’t I pretty much, but I am allowed to use certain buffs since I’m at a technical weapon disadvantage. So I think he’s like health buffs things like that.

So I’m going to kinda, you know get myself really buffed up really roided-up in preparation. For you know the fight there should be a lot of fun. You know, I don’t see a lot of people try and a challenge like this per se, but you know I the other day you know with bright day Redemption. There’s there’s a lot of flexibility herbs on how you can actually do things and a lot of people where they want to be.

You know get legendary pellets and you know the game and get like you know, go a star in all the missions, and you know like followed a normal hat of achieving or you know, completed that assignment or task within red dead. I am going to lean more towards doing that in the uncommon sense, with my bad John. Well, originally a bad art. This is my badge on, but a beard played out, so my bad John will be doing that job with a beer is going to be doing.

Uh, you know these knife versus challenge as well as we have the fists of fury challenge, we’re kind of legendary animals with nothing but my actual fists. If it’s at all possible to do that, so the I will have multiple tries or I don’t have multiple tries or both by knife versus as those my fists of fury challenge and only because out at least one. You know, I think at least give us some three tries and if I can’t kill the animal in three tries, reassess and see if there’s another way for me to possibly kill animal with a knife.

If not, then I guess it’s not doable all right, maybe not. Three tries – maybe I tried more than three times, because I do think that you know the animals they do have a certain attack pattern. I think you can study that you know if you should be able to have my new grandma beat them, assuming that you could get John to do what you want John to do what that was easier than I thought really does. That was it.

Maybe I shouldn’t have used miracle tonic after all, Wow kind of feel bad for him. Okay, so miracle toddy and knife did the trick. Okay, I wonder if I could just be on my fist and investigate it. Wasn’t too hard? Okay, so we see um Wow literally three month, three slice and then it was over all right. Let’s run that back all right, so we’re going to take miracle cute miracle tonic with just our fist and see what happens.

I can find you shit, okay. What, then, why do you, betting goes far: yeah yeah, no shit, Sherlock that one I kept drawing my gun for some reason. I was like I’m trying to follow my fist. Maybe I can’t actually fight it with my face. That could very well be the case with a legendary animal different. Let’s do this round too bitch. Let’s go! Oh, what effective, yeah, okay, alright! So first time you got me second time taught him who’s boss, alright, so round.

Alright third trial is wit, a thorough weapon to see how that goes. Let’s go buddy see how you deal with a hatchet lost to the knife and the fist time for the hatchet, technically you’re, not damn to swings hatchet ain’t, no frickin joke okay, well, hatchet! For the victory Tim’s hatching this room didn’t show the damage how they do you showed it damage. I didn’t realize. Okay, hatchet does do more damage the action after that has more damaging than the shit shit, damn Oh to die to ready if it wasn’t for friggin miracle tonic which life it took see like literally, I would be dead, if was for miracle tonic, so yeah.

This doesn’t be pretty impossible without miracle. Tonic, be honest, all right, let’s go last round there, Kotani anyone find more without time all right got them. Let’s run this back without any miracle tonic see. If could actually do the same. All right, it seems like miracle. Tonic is definitely giving me the advantage just to power through its attack, because I only have to hit him twice, so it’s a good way to kind of get familiar with his attack pattern.

So that way, I could try to beat him now without miracle tonic kind of a way to test yourself. So, first we’re going to start off with fist which that’s going to be really hard but whatever, because I definitely don’t want to create a situation where I’m going to have to probably be slick cuz. I can’t take too much hit from him can’t cut him. I got him without anything: okay, Wow! I am surprised. I actually won that.

Okay, I feel like it’s going to be worse when I get a load weapon now, let’s try on that time chasing that guy got a three-piece combo right there. That was kind of close, though you came close. I thought hiding behind just little log right here, will throw him off and prevent it from attacking me, but I guess that all right on to the hatchet – oh, my goodness, I couldn’t get any swing off. My hatchet.

Doesn’t have a lot of reach Wow the hatchet doesn’t have a lot of reach. Wolf got me. Okay! All right well played well played. He’s won one out of the series so well that cannon. When I was pressing the wrong button to attack he’s won one in natural series. Two kills overall per this episode. Okay, all right, Wolfie, not bad. Like literally, I was pressing the art too, but he’s like, because the hatchet did have less range in his attack.

His attack can’t power and true, so we could even they were pressing like prior at the same time, even before his like spamming are to to attack attack, attack attack and his TAC kept like hitting me seriously. Damn it in that right, save my life friggin bad job indeed, he’ll just happen. Just get like clothesline by a tree is that one literally Tuzla, ghost riding the whip in that one and freakin attack man, geez stik-tek, bastard, all right, machete, one now successful.

Okay, this series you’ll see when you kind of work because of the cleavers range good. They said to think about the cleave. The cleaver is I’m hoping that it’s a little bit faster than hatch, because the hatchet had a little bit more range in the night, but it wasn’t quicker in terms of attack speed. So I felt like it ultimately like lost on you sure I could probably rematch with a hatchet or maybe come out victorious, but then I’d be a little unfair.

You know we match until I win versus just letting him have that that win and me have that ELQ. I guess L of a series for Ella bat match Iren hatchet. Do not fail me now or cleaver sorry for that hatchet yeah cleaver! Technically she do as much damage she means it’s. The most powerful melee weapon see. I knew it. A new fuckin range, the fucking range I was swinging, but the rains like you see a swung.

He was out of range alright, so without miracle tonic, the hatchet and a cleaver are not a good weapon. Hmm, it’s good to know all right, we’re going to run this back one more time last match of the series. Well, actually that was the last night upstairs now that I actually killed a legendary wolf for real and move on that I tested out that my theory, so I guess you could say, is he loved matches? So, to actual I mean if I killed him, then in there with a hatchet, then yeah we’ve got a would be two girls, namaha boy.

Let’s go, I can actually spoiler. The tomahawk didn’t realize that hey can I swing with the no nearly there a bit? Oh, that was perfect. That was perfect. That was perfect and there we go boys Wow, one tomahawk kills it yes right at me. Oh ladies and gentlemen, there we go Wolfie times out sorry about the extra weight shit. That’s like almost poetic irony. To be honest, no ain’t happening all right.

Thank you guys again for reading my vs. Series against the legendary animals will have episode 2 up as soon as possible, probably like a week or two once I get back to it. But again, thank you guys to supporting serious NSA guys in my next episode. Bye,

5 Signs you have a Useless Website (and how to fix it)

You can’t understand why they are not getting any new clients, despite having invested a lot of money on a shiny new website. Well, here is one of the reasons why this is the number of new websites being published every minute of every day. So, if you think publishing a website alone is enough to drum up some business then think again as you’re, probably not the only one.

There is so much competition out there that your website is probably drowning amongst many other sites like yours, but beside the competition. How do you truly check if your website is working for you and if you’re, getting your money’s worth in today’s article, I’m going to show you five key signs. You can check to really understand if your website is effective or if it’s simply an overpriced online brochure that nobody is looking at and what you need to do about it to make it work hi there.

My name is Luke Duran, the founder of ranking academy UK, where I talk about the best tools, tips and ways to promote your local business online step by step and sync by click. On my blog, I cover everything. Any local business owner needs to know from search engine optimization to social media. My goal is to help you thrive online, so you can drive more visitors to your business and ultimately make more money if you’re new here consider, subscribing and clicking on the bell button.

So you don’t miss any of my new articles. One last thing don’t forget to check out the description below, which is where I put additional notes and links I refer to in this tutorial. So if you’re ready, let’s jump right in sign number one. Does your website get any visitors? Yes, I know for some of you, this is a very basic question, but for many business owners. When I asked the question how many visitors on average does your website get daily, the response is just a blank stare.

Why don’t you know if you open a brick-and-mortar store and no customer walk through the door? Wouldn’t you be worried, same rule applies to your website. If you’ve built a website and you have no visitors, then you should be worried and you have no excuse. Since you have all the tools you need at your fingertips, the most common one being Google Analytics. If you haven’t installed, Google Analytics yet check my article called Google Analytics setup and install for WordPress and Wix.

That should help once installed simply log into your business profile and click on the acquisition section on the left hand, side, menu and take on overview. You will see at a glance if your website is getting any visitors where your visitors are coming from and much more. It should only take you a few seconds. You can even install the Google Analytics app on your phone and check your site’s performance from anywhere.

So you really have no excuse. If the number of visitors is low, then the chances are. Your website is not working for you and that may be, because your business is not ranking well in search engines or more specifically, in Google, which is the second sign. We are going to look at sign number two: is your website ranking for any keyword for most local businesses? Organic traffic is the biggest source of visitors to their website, but that’s only if your business ranks for keywords.

People are searching for. If you don’t know whether your site is ranking for any specific keywords, just go to neil patel comm, slash booba suggests enter your domain name in the field and click on search on the left hand, side, menu, click on keywords. This should bring up a list of keywords. Your site is ranking for, along with their positions in Google search. If you cannot see any keyword ranking between position 1 and 10, then it means your website is unlikely getting any traffic from google.

Why? Because the top 10 results are on page 1 of Google and hardly anyone goes to page 2. Even if you see keywords ranking between position 5 and 10, you will only get a tiny amount of visitors because most people who conduct a search in Google click on the top 5 results. So what can you do if you are not ranking for any decent keywords between position, 1 and 5 backlinks to your site influenced greatly your overall keyword rankings.

It is likely you need to build links pointing to your site to reinforce your website Authority and increase your rankings. If you want to know how read my article called local citations and link building, but if you do have keywords ranking between 1 and 10 and the phone is still not ringing, it may be because of sign number 3 sign number 3. Is your website content good enough? Most people who search for local services online have a very clear objective in mind.

Their intent is often to call a business to either request more information about a specific service that provide make an appointment or fill in a quick form to request a quote. It is therefore extremely important. You include a call to action in a form of a button or a phone number on your pages that sits above the fold if you are unfamiliar with the above-the-fold concept. Here is a quick explanation in web design.

What is known as above the fold is a portion of a web page that is visible in a browser window. Once the page has finished loading information accessible only by scrolling down the page is what is known as below the folder. Having a call-to-action above the fold. Will ease the decision making process of the users? They won’t have to search frantically where or how they can get in touch with you, as it will be right in front of their eyes.

All they need to do is click or tap. So if your web pages don’t have a clear call-to-action on them, just add one. This applies to both desktop and mobile devices, which now accounts for more than half the visitors. Any website receives, which leads me to sign form sign number four: is your website mobile friendly with explosion of mobile phones and tablets? A few years ago, Internet traffic coming from handheld devices as exploded and even overtook desktop Internet traffic? If you run a website, it’s paramount.

It is compatible with multiple screen resolutions and, more specifically, with mobile phones. The way your website will be seen on different screen types will affect the user experience, but it has also become part of Google’s algorithm, so it shouldn’t be ignored if your website is not compatible for smaller screens you’re going to lose out on a big chunk of Visitors look at this example. Half the content cannot be accessed on a mobile phone.

Here is a quick tip to check if your website is compatible on multiple screens. Go to google chrome, install google chrome if you haven’t yet and type your web address in the search bar right click anywhere on the page and select the option inspect on the right hand, side panel click on the phone icon in the menu bar. This will show you what your site looks like on a mobile device on the Left panel to change the screen.

Resolution type just use the drop down menu above the website, where you can check what your site looks like on different mobile screen sizes and tablets. So what should you do if your site is not compatible with handheld devices? You simply need to redesign the whole thing, so it is mobile friendly, but beware having a mobile-friendly site nowadays is not enough, and this is what I will be talking about inside number.

Five sign number: five: is your website fast enough? You’ve probably heard this expression from the great fabulist named Aesop. You said slow, but steady wins the race. Since Aesop was born in 620 BCE, there was clearly no internet, otherwise he would probably say something different in today’s digital world. Speed is everything, and that includes how fast your website is. Loading. According to a google study, 53 percent of mobile site visits leave a page that takes longer than three seconds to load after three seconds.

You will lose half of your visitors. That’s not a long time to make an impression. So how do you check if your site is fast enough, use the PageSpeed insights tool provided by Google enter your website address in the field and click on analyze, wait for a few seconds and you should get a result ranging between 0 and 100, the nearer your Site is to a hundred the better. It is don’t panic too much if you see a law-school, even some of the major web sites out there, don’t get it right.

Look at Amazon, for instance, you can see the full breakdown of where improvement can be made. When you scroll down the page, to be honest, a lot of the breakdown data is meaningless to me. So if your site is very slow, the solution is to either talk to your service provider and see what can be done by showing them those numbers or ask a professional for help with optimization. The importance of speed is likely to increase significantly in the coming months.

So the sooner you do this, the better it will be. That’s it for today check those five signs now to see. If your website is working hard for you and if it isn’t then start acting today, it will pay off very soon. I promise, if you have any questions in the meantime post them in the comments below, and I will personally respond to them. If you want to see more articles like this one don’t forget to subscribe.

If you can give me a quick thumbs up, I will be really appreciative and until next time happy marketing,

Fast Final Cut Pro Editing Workflow

Welcome back. Would you like to speed up your workflow in Final Cut Pro? Actually don’t answer that question I already know the answer. Speed is the name of the game, and time is money. So here’s a quick rundown of things. I do in Final Cut the speed up my editing, so I’m spending less time in front of a computer and more time getting content out there. Guys that have been using Final Cut for years will see a couple of these tips and go huh.

I knew that because I do cover a few of those bread and butters hits, but either way I think you’re going to get a kick out of seeing how I did it. So, let’s do it something I highly recommend you switch on. Is your background lenders? If you go up to Final Cut Pro preferences playback and then make sure this button is ticked for background render, and that just means that if you leave the computer, it’ll render Wasps you’re, not there and you’ll come back and everything will be nice and fast and You’ll be able to play back no problem if you’re, someone who still collapse at the beginning when you hit record so that you can sync up your audio and your article, it’s the future.

You don’t need to do that anymore. Get with the program. So forget spending time on zooming and really close to line up your audio and your article perfectly. It’s not necessary. Instead, just select your audio track and your article track and right-click and she’s synchronize clips just go with all of the default options and click OK and BAM, fully synched up audio and article, and I know for you guys, who’ve been using the program for a while.

You can obey it this stuff, it’s easy, you know, but for those who haven’t seen this before this is a mind-blown moment. You’ll love it if you’re still in the habit of adding effects directly to Clips it’s time to stop it’s time to start using adjustment layers. Adobe Premiere Pro has had this function for so long and it’s really useful now for Final Cut. You can get lots of free versions for some reason.

It still doesn’t come with the program, but just Google adjustment layer, Final Cut Pro free, plugin you’ll find one just a stretch. If your footage and apply your effects to it, I guarantee this will save you. So much time, plus a Final Cut Pro seems to work faster with this in place. I don’t know about you, but I feel, like I spend way too much time on color grading when, in actual fact I should be uploading, you know delivering to the client.

I should be just finishing products and getting them out there, so what I’ve been working on is having a really repeatable style of filming and I’ll mention this again, but it’s about having it a consistent exposure having consistent white balance all of those kind of things so That we can have a template and copy across and then we only have to make minor adjustments to the grade. When I film this session, I made sure that I used exactly the same settings as previous sessions.

I’ve written them all down. I copy the grade over and bam. I’ve got my color wheels, my color curves my lot and a little bit of sharpening, and that means I’ve got so little work to do, and this has saved me a huge amount of time. I get a lot of questions about my audio quality people saying they like the way it sounds. How do I do this? How do I do that? The truth is it just takes a bit of practice and a bit of time, and obviously time is not our friend.

The time is the enemy. So how do we speed things up? Well, for me, it’s about having a repeatable style of recording audio and what I mean, whether it’s by having similar levels having the mic in a similar distance to a talent every single time, so that you can go back and actually copy settings from project to project. If you can do that, it means he won’t have to mess around adding tons of eq compression and a limiter whatever you need to make your audio sound good for every single project.

You’ll have almost like a template that you can copy across and it’ll save you. So much time so in our project, you can see that this audio is going to be way too quiet and way too dynamic. So it’s going to need some a huge impression and probably a limiter. So it sounds good on every single device, and here we can see the audio from the last project they did and you can see it’s going to be a lot louder.

A lot more consistent can sound better on a phone, a tablet laptop or big speakers. So this is what I want for the new projects, so I’m going to hit command C to copy those audio settings, but with our original projects and we need to copy our audio plugins in. I will go into shortcuts in a bit, but for now we’re going to hit shift command V and what this allows us to do is to selectively paste plugins into our clip.

Obviously, we only want the audio attributes to be copied in so we need to deselect all of the article attributes and bam a working template for our audio. Of course you may need to tweak from here, but it gives you a nice template to work from, so it probably would have taken the best part of ten minutes to get the sounding really good. So that’s 10 minutes saved on this project. There are so many shortcuts, you could remember with Final Cut Pro, but I think you can get by with just the basic ones.

I’m not going to run through many, but these are the ones I use all the time and they we’ll save you so much time. If you just memorize these ones, of course, there are the obvious ones which everyone should know: command C to copy command V, to paste command Z to undo come on X to cut, but by far the command I use the most is command B, which is the Blade tool, if you hit come on B, it will just make a blade cut to your main timeline, however, select multiple layers and it will cut through the lot super handy.

I use it all day. There are a couple of copy and pasting shortcuts that you definitely should know. The first is to use option command and then V and what this does is it actually paste all of the effects from one clip to another? This includes all of your plugins, including your audio ones. The other is to use shift command V and what this does is it pastes the attributes, and this basically lets you be completely selective about what you actually pasted onto your clip.

Of course, both the option, command and shift command variants work with the X or cut tool, and that means you can either remove all of the effects from a clip or just select the ones you want to remove it’s brilliant. Let me show you a couple of examples: let’s say you’re working on a project which has multiple areas each with its own adjustment layer and you decide you actually want to make some quite big tweaks to the plugins you use in this example, I’m going to go For a drastically different exposure, instead of going into our adjustment layers and doing all the tweaking manually, we’re going to use option command X, and this will remove all of the plugins from our second adjustment layer.

Then just highlight our first adjustment layer and press command C. To copy all of the effects and then simply press option command V to paste our effects on to our second clip and we’re done of course, if you want to be more selective about what you pasted onto your clips, we can use shift command V. So again, let’s clear the effects off our second adjustment layer by pressing option command X once again hit command C to copy the effects from our first adjustment layer and then hit shift command V to select what we want to paste onto our clip.

As you can see, we’ve got color wheels, color curves our lutz and sharpening i’m just going to add the LUT just for a laugh and then we have it ridiculously handy. Bear in mind that this paste attributes function works with everything, your plugins, your audio plugins, your crop, any adjustments, you’ve made to your clip. You can paste selectively and I love it for super shortcut junkies. If that is such a thing, you can actually customize the shortcuts yourself just get into final cut, commands customize and there you have it the full control panel, where you can just go nuts and create your own crazy, shortcuts, it’s just so amazing and customizable.

It’s honestly not a function. I use myself, but I know people that do and love it. So it’s just good to know that it’s there. Lastly, something I do all the time is to open the clip and look at our article animation and the reason you’d want to do. This is to edit things like fade-ins and fade-outs, and you can also edit your keyframes from this panel. You could just right-click the clip and choose show article animation, but then I feel like it’s easier to use shortcuts on the keyboard.

The shortcut you need for this is ctrl V, and that opens and closes it. So it’s really quick and easy. Of course, adding fade-ins and fade-outs to Clips is super. Easy, just drag the slider along and that will control the opacity of your clip. So super easy and looks good. However, I think there’s an even better way of doing it and that’s to use keyframes at this point. You’re, probably thinking behalf keyframing, isn’t quick, that’s not going to speed things up! That’s going to slow me down, but I feel like if you know the shortcut and you’ll practice in it.

It’s just second nature, and it won’t take you any time at all, so we’re going to create a really slick. Looking fade-out so just hit option K to create a keyframe create another one right next to it, drag the keyframe, that’s nearest the end of your clip down and that will create our fade out. But, of course that’s not going to look slick enough for me. So just right click somewhere along the line and select ease, and this will add a kind of ramping effect and it will look super classy.

Another function I use all the time to keep me efficient and organized. Is the workspaces function, so I thought you’d really appreciate. Seeing how I use them in my workflow to keep me speedy. Let’s say I’ve been editing for a little while and I’ve moved all my spaces around, and I want to get it back to my standard, editing layout. This is when you can use the workspaces function to your advantage.

I’ve actually got three presets for I use. My half standard covers all the bases, workspace, a specialized workspace for grading and then another one for audio. So if I select half it’ll snap back to my, does everything all-purpose workspace, then if I select my grading workspace you’ll see that my waveform pops up automatically nice and big, so I can see what’s going on. But finally, when I select my audio workspace, you can see I’ve got a nice clear view of my timeline plus my audio meters are really clear and big.

I can monitor it nicely and that’s it for now. Thank you so much for hanging out with me today, as always, I’ve loved making this article for you and, if you’re still in the mood for more dope articles about article I’ll pop a couple of interesting ones over here and if you’re not subscribed just hit. Storytelling For Sales Success with Brian Parsley | Sales Expert Insights

My name is John golden from Sarris pop online says magazine and pipeliner CRM, and today I’m joined by Brian parsley, who is in lovely Charlotte North Carolina. How you doing Brian top of the morning to you, Brian’s Irish as well? Well he’s not he’s South African there / American right at this age, I’m American all the way right: okay, so Brian’s a professional career! So he you started at the bottom.

Worked your way up from temporary staffing agencies, you did door-to-door selling and from that you you experienced and founded successful startups, and now you are consulting you, help organizations with sales, optimization and another sales related and leadership related things. Well, I thought we talked about today. Is okay, we’re at the at the beginning of November? A lot of people have, you know, just under two months, left of selling for this year and desperate, trying to close hit their quota or or hit those accelerators.

So closing is obviously a big issue right now. So Brian, when we were talking beforehand we’re talking about the use of how to use a storytelling, can actually increase your your probability of closing. So do you want to talk a little bit about that sure? I think that, as we go here to the end of the year, there’s a couple things we need to make sure we keep in check number one a lot of times. People see the end of the year as time to start pulling back holidays here in America, Thanksgiving and then creative and even overseas.

You stopped Africa as an example. No, you know December till mid-june where things just shut down, and I think that’s a mistake. If you want to have a strong first quarter, you need to end, and at least 10 the momentum going into that fourth quarter. So that’s one day now just want to throw out there yeah just push harder than you’ve ever pushed ever in your life. This sort of thing when you talk about people are looking too close when you talk about closing in a moment, but storytelling in general isn’t necessarily closed concept.

I would, I know from experience, has been this our goal itself. Professionals is not really the cell. Our goal is twofold: number one to connect. I want to be a connector, I’m going to look for ways and opportunities to say: oh gosh, this guy is an insurance agent. Maybe he needs a realtor, this guy’s a doctor. Maybe he needs an insurance agent. So I’m constantly pivoting my my contacts to make introductions to be what they’re nothing your business together is one thing, but I want to be known as the guy that puts them all together if that makes sense, yeah totally that’s why networking events networking not that tricky People go to there and and and and they tend to hang out with other people like them, but but there are great opportunities to meet folks just by going out there trying to connect with other people.

The second thing is: what’s your biggest goal in sales? Well, you might let chop this down. You ready. John yep goal is to manipulate other people. That’s what you’re supposed to do as a salesperson to manipulate, but there’s a little back into that before you start throwing tomatoes at me. It’s manipulate with good intent right and the best way to describe that is, if you’re, a parent. You manipulate your children with good intent and guide that to the decisions that you believe in know in your heart are the most important things for them to keep them safe, ldiots smart as they grow older.

So keep that in mind here as we go forward. You know, I think, it’ll make a lot more sense when we talk about story time. No, that’s that’s great, because one of the things we used to use in in another role I was in with another company, is one of the rules of communication. Is that you know people believe conclusions they come to by themselves and anything you or I can say to them right so part of your job is to guide them to come to those conclusions and, as you said, if you manipulate a good intent or you guide, Somebody to conclusion with good intent, because you know this is going to help them.

Then that’s that’s a good thing to do a hundred percent in you’re dead on. So let’s talk about storytelling, here’s, the fact the fact is facts are forgot. Facts are forgotten. Stories are retold and when you load down the when you look down the prospect or your customer with facts, figures, values and the features of benefits and all that Mister forget it they don’t. You know why, because they really don’t care the business infomercial czar so powerful to do nothing but tell a story.

Don’t your native of tomorrow with it. I’ve never trusted tomato all the way down the tape, but you start reading it go that could happen yeah. I want that yeah because they’re establishing a pain through a story. You live the story by curiously and they don’t talk about the price. They just tell you the story and then you want it, and I also believe that by telling stories it helps people relate now.

Actually, I take it back before I tell you the story part. I want to share with you an example, and this is a real example that happen for me. How do you connect with people? Well, one way to do – and this is going into your answer to the question about November and event year – closing things you have to make sure that you’re connecting with people and there’s a pre called preparation is a big thing that a lot of people need to Get better at mmm what I call rapport investigation before you go meet with your clients.

You want to connect with them. Part of the storytelling is connecting right, so I want to find ways that we can connect together. So how do you do rapport investigation or internet stalking, as it’s known, we of course, that LinkedIn and Facebook, and things like that, and – and certainly I would never say to you that I’m looking up your Facebook right now and go? Oh, my goodness, he loves, he loves Italian food.

Hey John! I like Italian food. Do you that’s creepy yeah? But if I do see like as an example, I’m a freemason and if I saw on your page that you’re part of a freemason group, you know or a club, then then what we call it objects. But then I would look at it and go. Maybe I’ve thrown out a sign or symbol or something anyway be pretty hard to do. The funny handshake go through virtually yeah [, Laughter, ].

So then, but I’ll give you an example. So I was with the financial advisor and we were going on a call to a lady, and this is something I throw in a road kind of show with these folks and she’s, like one meeting this lady’s the third time she’s not friendly, she sees me. I think out of obligation gee, I can’t seem to close her and I don’t know what it is. I’ve done everything that’s like well, let’s look her up on Facebook and sure enough.

It was locked down. I couldn’t see anything but I said, click the about likes and we moved in their lives and they were all kinds of cool things like. I think it was two wall with this and chill all a rescue wow. That’s weird, and I don’t why she just. I have a twat, I do, and I say do is: take a picture of your Chihuahua put it on your desktop right and when we go before we get started just open it up see the manipulation with good show up sure enough.

She opens it up and lady goes. What is that Chihuahua? She is yes, that’s my chihuahua. Now you wouldn’t want to do this. If you didn’t have a, are you serious best friends, they created this report and they were able to push through and then you shelah WA as the common denominator or the story or the vessel and the nice. And so just going to say – and the nice thing about that Brian is that that has that has taken some of the tension and maybe the wall away.

So now you can have a real conversation. It doesn’t mean that you’re going to sell to them or close them just because you have the Chihuahua but you’ve created the best environment. I will tell you this. I always say that you can act professional, but you got ta talk, Fredman mm-hmm, you know like people, people can see through that. I have a 13 year old and I was just telling me the other day. I said her name’s Alexis unless it out you’d have to be careful the way you come across.

I know your heart. I know your intent, but sometimes you come across as an authentic, hey. How are you – and I know, you’re trying to be polite, but it comes across fake itself. Professionals, I see it every day. Do the same thing, not intentionally it’s not their intent, but it’s what people see you have to remember that. You know you know 52d. I think it’s 54 % of communication is nonverbal or 53 and another 38 % is.

How do you say it yeah? So maybe vast majority of our communication aren’t even the words. That’s why stories are so powerful. No there’s five parts to any story, and this is nice. It’s really easy. Once upon a time there was the hero, the hero went on a journey right and on the journey they met a challenge that could be a dragon. It could be her hair, whatever it is mm-hmm, then the hero somehow someway figured out a way to slay that dragon, and then they lived happily ever after mm-hmm.

What’s fun at I’m a hero. When I was a journey by the challenge you know just solve the challenge, then there’s the five parts to a story everybody’s like that everything’s, very just like that, so we say, and every sale is like that. Well, here’s why once upon the time we had a customer very similar to you, they were looking to achieve this output X Y Z, and this is the challenge that they face. This is what we did for them, and now they don’t happily ever after.

So what you do is you create stories around objections? Your costs too high. You had a bad experience in the past. Only use this other competitor. No, we don’t have a need right now. So let’s say we used you in the past and five years ago and and we have bad experience, you know I totally understand. In fact I have a customer very similar to you. Then we’re looking to you know, build what I don’t know what we’re selling but sure we’re looking to achieve and they had a challenge.

The challenge was: we dropped the ball. The challenge was our company failed them, but then I did a little bit of research and I figured out it wasn’t the company. It was that Account Executive, and this is where they dropped the ball, and this is what we did for them, and not only do they love what we put into play, but now there are a loyal customer because they know that not only am I responsible, but I’m accountable for everything that happens within this organization and then so I’m basically saying that won’t happen to you, but the truth of the story, their inner mind.

You know envisioning this so that they’re going to say, oh well, that makes its automatic proof yeah and you’re. Not and you’re not trying to deny that there were issues in the past right. I mean you’re as you you’re, explaining how you learned from those how you overcome them and how you’ll ensure that they never happen again and when you said about you were just saying about the authenticity: that’s more authentic! Isn’t it then saying like oh well? No, you know, we’ve never had issues like that or that absolutely one it’s much or more, that you just say yeah.

We had those kind of issues and here’s what we did to solve it. I you know get more frustrated when I have a problems for where they want to give me the reasons why I’m wrong, when I’m a customer, yeah and or the excuse, it’s not just apologize and move on and take responsibility, and you know I always love this. I say I’d rather take and I work with companies. You know helping them create more loyal customers.

So when the biggest challenges is they ignore or they try to avoid upset customers. In my my I would postulate imma take a a very upset customer over and okay customer, because I think an upset customer and turn them into someone loyal way quicker than a transactional customers a way to defuse. It is to obviously agree with them. Now I’ve used two different examples, but but they both come down to the to the end.

Where I had a lady just escalated up to me, they said, can you please deal with her? She cuts us and screams and that’s like hey. My name is Brian, and so I’m sort of asked me to give you a call and then she let inter and I’m talking about. I don’t think she took her breath for three minutes straight, just yeah. Every other keywords: okay and – and I didn’t say a word in fact – I didn’t even acknowledge service list mm-hmm or anything just quiet and at the end I was quiet even after she stopped and if she thought I hugged up she’s like Hello, that’s like go.

I’m here and she’s like well, what do you have to say about that? And I said I’m silent because I have nothing to say I said I’m. I can’t believe you’re not more upset than you are now when you say that to someone and it comes across something weird. I said: how dare you agree with me? Yes, I can’t believe you’re not more upset than you are, because if it were me, I wouldn’t even have this phone call.

I would just move on right. The fact that you are taking this phone call shows me that you care you care enough, that you want to make sure that you, let us know, and even though I may not be able to save you as a customer, and never what this to happen to Anyone else, in fact, to tell you that this happened one out of ten thousand times it’s irrelevant, because you’re the one and it’s a hundred percent of you and I get that she’s and and then typically what happens when you do that? Not only do you are you telling this story by, you know relleno wrinkle, but but typically they’ll, then back off and say well, what do you think we should do and and in the goal, obviously is to manipulate your customer and I’ll share with you? This other part of the story assist, have you ever gone to a restaurant or store, and you had such bad service such a bad experience that you swear.

You never go there again, oh yeah too many times, but is it plausible that no one else in that organization subscribes to that same belief that that person created four year, meaning that one-off experience could be that individual then yeah we’re judging the whole cup that one? Incredibly important every other, actually you have with the customer every time good and in fact the once entertainment but still get food.

Let’s answer our phones good afternoon, thanks for the food table, yeah absolutely and it’s it and it’s intro because, as you said there is you know if people are upset. If customer you know, if we’ll take ourselves right, if we’re upset with an experienced, what is the one thing that we really want we want to? We want to be acknowledged and we want to be heard right. That’s what we want and when people fail to do that, it just makes you more angry and then you just go away and you say forget it, but if they acknowledge it and they listen to you, then they there’s a chance of rehabilitation and not just that.

As we know, I let me ask you about that particular particular customer. Did they remain a customer and lay one of your loyal secretary or the crisis control guy so when they have an escalated issue, this is a pretty substantial a lot of times. My clients will call me into but again you know feeling like you’re feeling valued appreciated, appreciation as a currency. That’s accepted around the world and and it’s so easy to give, and yet you don’t really share it very often, because I just as an aside on this, because I had an experience recently where I had to follow this was my owner to follow up on something That I, that I thought was wrong and I was really annoyed about it and I called up and the guy who dealt with it.

Walk me. He was really calm. Very friendly, very empathetic walk me through it and then showed me actually at the end that it actually was my fault. What’s that actually my fault, but the way he did it in the end, I was like, oh my goodness, you’re correct. I’m really! Sorry, it’s actually. My fault and I was, and I had started off pretty angry and I’d. Actually, you know maybe being a little less class and denied to say.

Listen, I’m really sorry for snapping at your beginning. I didn’t understand, and I thought I thought you guys were in the wrong. It was actually me and after that I said, what’s your name, he gave me his name and I went immediately and sent a message to his. Yes, exactly snap, so I mean I sent a message because I was like: oh, my goodness, this guy handled that brilliantly he handled it fantastically yeah, but those are four G between typically whether the right or wrong in by the way.

Let’s say they are right. How do we react to respond to customers, even if I know you’re all grace? Yes, you know I have to say. I totally understand how you feel and I would probably feel the same way. I saw it, but you know quite honestly, let me walk you through the process and then let’s reevaluate, where we are and because I want you to be a customer I really did and and so I think that if you’re dealing with people, here’s the other thing, That’s a self professional if you’re going to start a relationship with a new customer here would be my advice.

You tell them. I want you to know John right up front that I will let you down at some point and you know that’s not my hope. It’s not my desire, but I mean human and by me it should be the business, it could be the deliverables, but I will let you down. The difference is, is that you will have my mobile number. You can call me 24/7 and I’m going to solve your problem and I’m going to take accountability as well as responsibility when something happens, because that’s the difference because everybody tries to be like we’re better than them, we’re all you’re, not that special, yeah and and so Tell me a little bit about how so, as you said earlier, so we’re in the situation towards the end of the year.

People are, you know, they’re getting ready for vacations or they’re in parts of the world. Like you know, it’s Ireland’s, the same as like South African that you know you won’t get anything after mid December right people are just switched off, so if you’re, if you’re selling and it’s Thanksgiving or whatever and people are your prospects are going well, you know, let’s Just pick this up in the new year, you know what are some of the ways you can help to make it more urgent that they address the issue this year and they kind of give you a little space.

Well, ironically, we say it’s one of them that people disengage and November all the way through the end of December, because that means they’re not getting hounded by every other salesperson has given up yeah. I see a better window to actually talk to people because in thir maker chances are they work. You know what I might call CEOs in the morning before 8:00 and then in the evening after 8:00. That’s when I reach out – and I coach as CEO of a publicly-traded company and he’s actually just sent me a text before our called said.

Let’s talk tonight at 8:30 Friday, night 8:30. That’s when I got ta talk to her right and, and you have to get into any salesperson – that tells me oh no, after 5:00 is my time. That’s cool enjoy being broke, because this is a different time. Now it’s connected world and you have to be available. They hate you for that, but that’s the truth and yeah. So it should be your question: how do you do that? Well, number one ask you know and if you’re from overseas awesome so call you until I get a restraining order and I’m going to constantly follow up and one of the things that I recommend even an email or voicemail say John.

I try to reach. You can get you, I know you’re busy. I don’t hear back from you. I assume you want me to follow up next Monday and I can show you. I have a guy for 14 months that I did that with and he finally got back with me and he said first, I want you to know. Thank you. I appreciate your due diligence. Second of all, he said it wasn’t you. It really was me, and this is what was going on I’m ready to to me and that’s important.

I have I’ll give you one more job. I want to show you something here. I wan na be careful, you don’t see his name, but this is a CEO that I’m retained. By that you can see the Blues. I think anyway, right that you, hopefully you can get all the best time he’s texted me back, it is was August 26. Was the last time that he texted me back, but I text him tried to reach out here’s the update. He pays me everybody, it’s my responsibility as a salesperson to and now you to give to follow up, and do it not to say well, it’s busy as the end of the year.

You need to call your clients and set it up. Give them that sense of urgency and do it with great. You can’t go in there and be bossy. You have to be subservient, we are but kissers, that’s what sells people are and if you can’t do it don’t do it don’t do the crime, it’s fun yeah. It’s so funny what you just said: they’re back! If you don’t answer this, I presume you want me to follow up Nick, because I get these all the time where I get like three in a row and the third one is seeing, as you haven’t answered.

My last two emails: this is a lot, I’m not going to bother you anymore and I’m like great thanks, but it’s completely the opposite approach. Right call, other people I was actually in cops. Where were we? We were in Charleston South Carolina two weeks ago. These guys Raley guys – and I I want to say, sick, but it’s like this sales process. I’ve ever seen they have a they. Have this young lady, that’s out on the street with a little club dressed up and she’s in a princess outfit.

You know samples of soap and they were selling like so like handmade so different. The other thing she’s enjoy free samples. So so my daughter’s, like oh I’d, love to have some so she’s. All that’s awesome. She make them in house, that’s what, if she’s not might get greasy on your head, why don’t you come in and we’ll wrap it in Mysore box? You take back to the hotel, so this plan. Even me, I’m like it’s really nice and he’s just really guys tours like hey, I need, or they start showing me like the skin care stuff.

Everything by the way was seven hundred and fifty dollars beautiful. It’s working, obviously a target of princes. Given me a free sample, so looking at Israel for the answer and if you’re willing to push through – and you have that confidence, why do I want to be? I want to meet with you for going to pitch me. You want to any value. You want to connect, call me up, let’s meet yeah and by the way I love because we’re bumping up against the end here, but I love that idea of the fact is that yet, there’s probably all around the world and certainly you’re around the states, as probably Salespeople who are giving up saying, oh I’m, never going to get through to Brian.

At this stage you know Thanksgiving is coming up or whatever, and the one piece of advice is to those motivated people listening or reading is yeah they’re clearing the field for you. If you keep you keep trying to talk to you keep trying to get to Brian because of all these other people who’ve quit. You know, guess what you’ve just got a far better chance of being heard. Yeah before I even responded to there, you go we’re pretty well.

Have you did you check your bank account since we started talking so listen Brian? This has been great. Thank you for the insight before we go. If you want to tell people a little bit more about yourself from what you do, that’ll be great. Well, I’m probably the worst myself, but I will say this Brian parsley, which is my website. You can subscribe and I send out a freaking you every week, usually they’re couple minutes all ideas, best practices, all based around sales and customer service.

Excellent. My name is John golden says. Pop online says magazine, pipeliner CRM Brian. This has been fantastic. Hopefully you come back and we’ll talk again soon, love the conversation and see y’all again soon. Thank you.
