March 2019 | Petite Monthly Planner #ErinCondren

To be honest, I’ve just been a little uninspired with my like regular planner. I just don’t like it, but you know I get in these ruts. Sometimes – and I know a lot of you do too, but today I wanted to share this planet right here, which I’ve actually really been liking, and I am going to be doing since I do back planning I’m going to be sharing my month of March.

So this is the Erin Condren, 2019 monthly planner. I believe these are called the petit planners they’re. Just like I don’t know like a bound flexible planner. Oh whoops, I already put the washi I want to use in here, but yeah, it’s just it’s a lot smaller than the regular life planner. As you can see – and I don’t know – I just really like these – and I think it’s nice because you could like throw it in your bag or put it in your like drawer at work or just even like leave it on your desk at work or whatever.

But yeah so I mean I think I did a article on this a while ago with a bunch of other things and, to be honest, I haven’t been using the other things at all, but I really like this, so this is what I did in January. You know not a ton but some stuff and then in February I really slacked but anyways in March. I haven’t done anything yet, but I have my other calendar off to the side here. So we’re going to fill some things in.

Let me see if I can kind of get this to lay a little flatter. I know we’re kind of in the beginning and then anyways all the way through. So it has the whole year and then it has like a ton and notes pages that are aligned, which is nice, and it’s got like a little flap right here. If you want to, you know, throw like an invitation in there or some paperwork that you need or whatever so anyway, let’s get to planning y’all, I haven’t pulled out any stickers.

I just pulled out some washi because there’s something that I need to put in for the washi situation, so the first thing I’m going to put in is on the same day I had two different kind of food dates with people, so I got ta find some Appropriate stickers for that you need to find myself some, like smaller event stickers. I think I have some here in my Christian designs, binder, not really sure we are going to see what I have, because these boxes are way smaller than like this, which is like you know, normally fits like an Erin Condren vertical, but I think, have some smaller Ones in here I’ve got way too much Christian design stuff in here, but I guess you can never.

You can never have enough right, guys. Okay, where does little that? Yes, maybe you don’t have any more use them up? Hmm yeah! Ah, this is what I’m looking for right here. These guys right there now, if y’all, are interested, it’s the ka D, 0, 0, 2, 3, 2. So all right, I’m going to pull this one out and use up what a can of that, and I got my pens as always alright. So the first thing was, I had lunch with my friend Heather and we just went to Panda Express we both kind of work by each other, so she actually works from home, but that week she didn’t.

So we made a lunch date, and this month I’m not going to be like really going with any specific theme at all. I have these little guys. I think this sticker company I couldn’t find a while ago. I don’t know I mean I’ll link everything down below whatever I can find so, but yeah. I got these a long time ago like when I first started planning and I still love them and then also that same evening um.

I did a little go wild thing with Jodi and Ryan and I don’t know if I’ve posted this yet by the time that this goes up. But these are like all my go: wild stickers that I have purchased for the trip, so I figured I would use. Maybe one of these some of these something like that, I don’t know and just see you see what I want to use in here – maybe able to use one of these that has like a little go wild on here.

This is from planner topia. I only have so much room to write, earn all right, I’m going to have to cut this one for sure, but we met up for some dinner that evening, which was delicious then the next day these are from my studios. I actually bought our pajamas because we talked to all about it, so I’m just going to put here by pajamas up just a little bit super cute all right and that Wednesday I also had a QC meetings.

I’m going to put that in lots of quality control at work yay. I have that and then actually at a doctor’s appointment on Thursday met with doctor lady, so much fun. Guy is so much fun, not really, but you know whatever right. I got these cute little doctor people who’s put that in and since were on the doctor theme. Because of that doctor’s appointment, I had an ultrasound everything’s, fine, I’m fine Dori! I had an ultrasound the next week, so we’re going to just put that in as well we’ll probably get questions.

No, I am not pregnant, because ultrasounds don’t necessarily mean that you’re pregnant okay, another doctor appointment sticker and do it like a dad I’ll put in another hello Doctor person, I think I said, was entirely a doctor’s appointment. It was just more of a like a tech appointment kind of a thing, but either way putting it in anyways all right. That was it for doctor stuff. I think yes, it was.

It was and then moving on to this week and I kind of jumped around sorry I was sick, so I had a migraine which really really stinks. So I chose not to work from home that day because migraine – and I didn’t want to look at a screen at all – all right and my Christian design spender. I’m going to use this. It says sick day, but there’s like a little tissue on here the suit these are like the Cindy lettering stickers, which are so cute, and I also have these once more with love headache stickers.

So I’m going to kind of put these together somehow some way I’ve never used one of these clearly. So let’s use a pink wine, and that was on this day right here. Oh I hate getting migraines you guys it just really sucks I’ll use. One of these little dudes – maybe I’ll, put it oh yeah yeah here I’ll, put it right over the little tissues because I didn’t have a cold. I had a migraine which made no fun, no fun, guys, no fun all right and then I’m Tuesday.

I had an oil change and I just found these stickers. I cut them all up, because I’ve stored my stickers in like a bajillion different ways, so these are actually from Adriana Piper, which are super cute and it’s like a whole. I don’t know if she still has the sticker sheet. Maybe she does I’m not really sure I bought these a long time ago like years ago, but it’s like a big kind of like car maintenance like auto maintenance sheet, so yeah but yeah.

I did that on the 12 and I’m just going to write that it was at 5:00 p.M. Okay, perfect and then I don’t really have anything notable for the rest of the week and then now I need some washi and this washi. I got from Michaels and it was part of the first Christian designs launch at Michaels. I know there’s like a second season right now. I don’t know if it’s a season, I’m probably calling it the wrong thing.

Sorry Kristen! If you’re reading, I’m not really sure, but there was like a you know like new stuff, which is kind of cool, I haven’t you know. To be honest, I haven’t been to a Michaels in such a long time, but I did get some of the Christian design stuff for Michaels. This is part of the washi that I had purchased and it doesn’t come on a bobbin like this. I just rolled it onto a bobbin cuz. That’s how I store my washi.

I you know, don’t prefer it in a full roll. That’s just me, and then let’s see, I should do this as well I’ll mark down what these are in just a minute, all right. So at work, my coworker that works remotely was here during this time and then I had to do some training with her remotely cuz. She was back in her home then, and she works from out of state. So we did lots of training together this week.

All right, her name is Sarah. I’m going to use one of these little cute stickers from mom. Let’s see here, plan about it. Burke there we go. These are the these. Are the tiniest desks that I have you cute cute all right, so we did that and then sadly, my cell phone, that I had it was like a Apple 7 plus. I think it was overnight that night. My alarm didn’t go off that morning, because my phone just completely like a blacked out, didn’t like you know like I couldn’t start it again.

I couldn’t do anything so anyways. I had to go get a new phone at the Apple Store, but first I like made an appointment at the Apple store and did all of that stuff. So I had to leave a work just a little bit earlier than I normally would that day. Just to take care of that, and then I ended up getting the iPhone X are ya, iPhone XR! That’s what it is like the newest phone. So anyway, I’m just going to like put XR on here and go for it looks good to me.

I don’t really need more explanation than that all right, so that what happened that day, how fun spending money I didn’t want to spend ooh, and then I need sports stuff, probably the first time. I’ve said that in a article and then Wednesday, I went to one of our sports stadiums. What is it US Bank Stadium here in the Twin Cities and the NCAA is going to be in town? At some point I don’t know my company, the company that I work for is providing some of the products to convert a football stadium into a basketball Stadium.

So anyway, I went there and got a tour of the progress and what they were doing on the 20th, and you know it’s kind of cool. It was really very, very interesting so and then Sarah and I both went so. It was kind of cool that she was in town while that was happening and then basketball, even though there was no basketball being played, there wasn’t even a court up yet ooh and then I need another. One.

Look good look at me and all my sports stuff. This month actually did a lot of sports stuff this month, cool all right, and then I had a meeting on the 21st about some HR stuff, but it actually was about something that was happening at my like building facility, so I’ll put a little baseball because it Was about a baseball themed thingamajiggy so put that there well there’s so many sports all right and then here I’m going to write in what I was doing.

I was shell training. Okay, my camera just cut off and I don’t know what the last thing that I said, but I’m going to put in here that I was Michelle training. So that’s what I wasn’t doing that day or those days I should say, did it for two days, but once Sara was here, she was like teaching me how to properly do the shelves so yeah that’s kind of cool. I also put a sign on my desk. That said, I was closed and if you needed any help to call Sara, but some people respected the sign.

Other peoples did not respect the sign, so it you know it took me. It took me a lot longer than I thought so, but that’s alright. I got the job done and yeah I’ll probably be doing more acoustical shells of it of it as soon so. My work bestie Jamie. We sit across from each other um. She is obsessed with Jonathan Venice from queer eye and she has gotten me on the jvn train so he’s actually coming into.

I don’t know it’s like not a concert, but it’s like I don’t know, he’s coming and he’s doing something. I don’t know exactly what he’s doing, but he’s going to be at the Minnesota State Theatre. This fall, but the tickets went on sale this day, so we bought tickets and we are going and we were both very very excited. So I have these cute little admit: won tickets plan about it. Jv antics to say that like she’s pumped, is like a little bit of an understatement, but I’m pretty pumped to I’m very excited.

We’re going to have fun fun, fun, all right and then on Thursday was the Minnesota Twins home opener, and that’s what I had to talk to HR about, because I was kind of like hosting it for my building, so they just needed some help with some things. So, hmm, I don’t have like a blue or a red which is, I know what I want. Let’s see what else I can find around here. Alright, here we go. There is red stickers right there yeah.

I just want to write lunch, so the company provided lunch for us this day, which was very nice of them, and then I have these from paper in clips and they’re like the Minnesota Twins logo. So just put that right there and maybe we’ll put a baseball, because I have him out why not there we go lunch, possum, okay and then on Saturday I had another go wild fun thing happen. I went over to Ryan’s house from a man with the plans and we had like a little brunch and Jodi.

Was there too, and we just kind of like discussed, go wild stuff. So it was kind of good and Ryan made this like really yummy egg bake, which was delicious and Ryan made this like super yummy, like egg bake thing, it was delicious thanks, Ryan, if you’re reading it was really really good, and then I actually just got these In the mail not too long ago, I had purchased these from Erin Condren and this is like the go wild set.

So maybe I’m going to use these hmm. What should I do? Oh that doesn’t fit. Oh you know what I could put it right here. That’s alright! I don’t have like things to do so. Maybe I want to use like some other go wild stickers that I have over here. Alright and I’m going to use this sticker right here that says: go wild Las Vegas from planner topia. Put that right! Oh gosh, look, I can’t do anything.

Okay, I got a whole new plan. Now, oh my gosh, losing it see. This is like real life of when you really, you know, mess up some things and you didn’t think about it before. So you done messed up. Mmm mmm I’m going to use a sticker now because that’s all right, though okay, so I’m just going to put this like little bit above it yeah, okay, cool all right. I like that, that’s good! For me! Oh and I forgot to put I purchased art.

I saw I bought pajamas on this day because we had like a conversation about it and then I believe that Friday yeah it was that Friday I purchased our airline tickets. You know so we could like all be in the same row or whatever. So that was good, so I’m going to use this from planner trophy, it’s just called air travel and, let’s see which color should I use. I don’t know, let’s use one of the pink ones.

That was just the first one here. Why not I’m just going to write Minneapolis to Las Vegas? Okay, I’m done now, oh, my goodness, alright, so that is it for my March monthly view in my 2019 monthly planner from the petite palana line. I hope you guys enjoyed this article, I’m going to be using this for the next month as well. So I actually have something in here already: hair appointment, 5:30 yay.

So yeah I’m going to be using this for next month and I will probably be filming a article if you guys are interested in this. I know this is kind of like a very different thing for me to share, because I really have never been in this before but yeah. Let me know if you guys are interested – and I can you know, make this a monthly thing if this is kind of what I’m going to stick to. So let me know down in the comments below, but anyway I am going to jet.

Thank you guys. So much for hanging out with me today. I really appreciate it. If you haven’t already make sure to give the article article a thumbs up. I cannot talk today and hit the red subscribe button. If you haven’t already – and I will see y’all in the next article bye guys well folks – is time to kick it old school

Adwords Signup – Keyword Research – How To Increase Website Traffic Series

What’s a key word, my best explanation of what a key word is a key word can either be a single word or most commonly a string of words or Freight. A phrase for example, that the search bots will travel through your website and determine exactly what your content is all about. What’s a search bot, a search bot is a tool used by the search engines.

For example the Google bot the Bing bot the Yahoo slur. Those are all BOTS sent out by those companies to determine exactly what content and and to collect and gather data from our websites to determine exactly where they should be placed in these search engines. So the search engines compiled all of this data and they take these keywords and and they’ll determine exactly what keywords your website might rank for now.

Believe me, it’s a lot more complicated than how they determine which websites will rank where based solely on keywords. There’s many more factors that go into it. In fact, there’s over 200 known factors involved in the algorithm at Google anyways to determine exactly where your website will rank in search. Ok right back to keywords, so we know already that a keyword can either be a single word or a phrase, and we know that search BOTS use those keywords to help determine exactly what your website is about.

The third thing about keywords is some keywords: can be much more competitive than others to rank for so what determines, if a a word is competitive, obviously supply and demand? How many people are trying to rank their websites or or competing for that popular keyword or a phrase? So for an example: if we were to take the term lawyer, let’s say we’re in the city of Orlando Florida and we have a law firm and we want to write our law firm for the term lawyer, probably very competitive.

It’s actually one of the toughest niches to write for it’s a highly competitive, very expensive niche to rank for if you’re, a lawyer, sorry lawyers, you guys do make lots of money, though so lawyer is a broad term that we want to rank for as opposed to Family law, which is more of a niche down, subject we’re probably not as much competition if you were just ranking for lawyer. So if we want to narrow it down a little more, we could go family law or business law.

So those are keywords and then, as we niche them down, you would have less competition, so less competition means easier to rank for right. So it’s something to take into consideration now. I do not want you to think okay. Well, we’re just going to avoid all the general terms, because we’ll never have a chance of ranking for them. For the most part, that’s true. There’s established large websites with lots of Link’s pointing to them that have been around for years and it’s tough to overwrite those kind of websites with popular keywords.

But that’s not necessarily true of me. If they are ranking for popular keywords, that pie, we’ll call it a pie, is a very large pie that has a ton of searches per month. For that keyword and a chance, even getting a sliver of that pie is still quite good, as opposed to going for the small little pie of, say, family law vs. Lawyer. You could rank higher, say on page one for a family law as opposed to page three.

For the term lawyer, if you’re a lawyer in Orlando and just coming up with a new website, okay, so what if I told you, there was actually a way that we could determine or measure how. Often a certain keyword or phrase was searched for monthly. So in our example, we use the term lawyer in the city of Orlando or also family law. So if we compare those two and I plug it in to my free Google Keyword planner tool, I tells me that the term lawyer is searched for five hundred ninety times a month in the city of Orlando versus a hundred and forty times a month.

For the term family law, so approximately you know four times more popularly. The broad term lawyer is so, but still family law at one hundred and forty searches per month is still a valuable term that we could try and rank for. So how do you get that access to that free tool? I’ll show you right now I’ll walk you through how you can sign up for the free Google search tool and just follow along okay, so beings we’ve signed up for a gmail account or also, if you already have one in the previous module in step one.

We can step our sorry. We can skip that step and just simply when you’re logged into your Gmail account open up another tab and simply make you do a search for Google Adwords. Okay. So up top here we have Google AdWords pay-per-click online advertising. Now we want to simply sign up and create a Google AdWords account doesn’t mean you’re going to do any advertising and they have this free tool. The keyword planner tool within the Google Adwords so I’ll, simply click on start now.

Okay, once you land on this page, it’s very important to get this point here, we’re simply going to click on skip the guided setup and that will allow us to get to the keyword planner tool much easier than if we, if we have to go through the Whole setup process, basically it’s asking for your website and your email address and and we’ll get to that later on in module 3. If you are interested in setting up google adwords completely so for right now, we’re just simply going to click on skip the guided setup, and now it’s simply going to ask you for your email address, select which country you’re from and I’m just simply going to select Canada, most, you will probably be in the US, select your time zone and then your currency.

Now your time zone and currency cannot be changed once you set those up so make sure you set them up correctly. Just quickly enter my email address here. This is a demonstration account, so actually this email address will be gone after. I create this article so do not try and get all of me there and then we simply click on save and continue now here it will ask us to enter our Google account so we’ll click on next they’ve already pre-loaded, the email and it’ll ask you for The password once you’ve entered your password click on sign in and then it asks about a having some recovery stuff.

We’re not going to worry about that right. Now, click on done, you can add a backup phone number if you want or a recovery email again. This is just a temporary account for demonstration purposes, so I haven’t set those ax and then you will land at this page and you’ll notice a whole bunch of options. You can click on. We will look at more of those in more depth in module 3, but for right now all we’re interested in is at the top here, where it says, tools simply click on tools, then the drop-down appears and what you’re looking for is the Keyword planner.

So click on keyword, planner and here it says, find new keywords and get search volume data. So we want to search for new keywords using a phrase website or category or get search volume, data and trends and here’s another option that we can get new keywords. So we’re just going to simply select this. This middle one here get search volume, data and trends. So click on that and the first thing it says, is enter keywords so I’ll just simply type in lawyer and the next thing we wanted to under targeting right now.

It’s has all locations, so this is would give us the results for the entire world. We want to narrow that down so I’ll, just simply: click on that little pencil or pin there and where it says, enter a location to target I mean you could enter United States. You could enter Canada if you’re, you know a global audience or most likely. You are a local business and want to enter your city, or maybe even state or depending on the size of the service area.

You service so right now, I’m just going to put in Orlando so right up here, Orlando Florida, United States and I will click on save and so right now I’ve got one keyword in here lawyer, we’re searching in the City of Orlando USA, and I want to Get the search volume, so click on get search, volume and right now average monthly search for all ideas. It shows up 100 to 1000, so it gives you a range now that number I got earlier.

My Google AdWords account that I have is a an AdWords account. That’s had thousands almost you know tens of thousands of dollars through it lots of advertising. It’s it’s many years old and beings. I’m a longtime customer of Google. I get a little more accurate picture of data, so here you can see. There’s a big range. There might be 100 to 1000 monthly searches so for new years users of Google AdWords.

Until you build up a, I don’t know a history with with Google. You do not have access to dead, accurate numbers like I do so anyways. This is the tool that gives you an idea, at least what that search volume is so let’s say we wanted to be beings. This is not that accurate. Maybe we could change Orlando, let’s go and change this to United States, oops. So we’ll add the country of United States and I’ll just simply remove Orlando, so click on remove here and then click on save.

So now we have 100,000 to 1 million. The reason I did that so, each month, average monthly searches for the term lawyer in the United States is anywhere from 100,000 to 1 million. So it gives us a little more of an idea in the whole country what kind of search volume that is, let’s add another term here, so I’m going to simply put a comma space and my next term will be family law and over here I’ll click on Get search volume, so we know if we’re comparing the two okay.

Obviously family law gets lower search volume than lawyer, so anyways. It can give us an idea of the search volumes if you just start typing, in related keywords, to get an idea how popular those words are and if you should be including them on your website and and which ones are the other most popular, also you’ll notice. Over the to the side, here, it’s got suggested bid. If you are actually running ads now lawyer happens to be one of the most expensive pay-per-click advertising categories.

I guess you would call it and you know eight and a half dollars seventeen dollars, twenty seven cents. For somebody in your city clicking on family law, if you’re a lawyer trying to gain clients, anyways just gives you an idea of this of the AdWords tool and how we can use it to determine search volume of certain keywords related to your website. Okay, I need to show you another feature of the Google Keyword planner so to get to this page again.

Just simply, you would click on tools up top here and go down to keyword, planner, and that would bring you once again right to this page. Here will be where we have the three options so the first time we went through the middle option. This time we will select on the top option here, search for new keywords using a phrase website or a category, so click on that this pops down this time. You know for your small business.

You can type in whatever, let’s say your lawn care business type in lawn care, your a painting, business type in painting, services or painting beings. We worked with a lawyer before I’m just going to punch in family law here and then, if you wanted you could you know if you had a product category, if you wanted to niche this down, you could enter a few things here or competitors website, even if He wanted to or your website and it will crawl your website or your competitors website and give you some keyword, ideas but anyways we’ll stick with this.

We we have a keyword of our key phrase of family law. Again, we have Orlando here selected and at the bottom we will so we’ll click on get ideas. Now, what its going to do is spit out a whole bunch of terms related to family law that you could perhaps target and you’ll notice. In my account, I have a much more accurate data here, collection of how many searches per month and you’ll notice in the second column here competition, you know how competitive is it to rank for that or to advertise more specifically to advertise for those terms, so you’ll See here you know, beings were in family law, you’ll see divorce in the City of Orlando, roughly three hundred and ninety times a month.

That term is search divorce lawyers would be an excellent phrase to rank for. If you were a lawyer in the city of Orlando 170 searches per month, obviously it’s high competition. Somebody typing in divorce, lawyers is looking for a divorce lawyer. Obviously, and chances are if they hire your services as a lawyer, it’s you know the thousands and thousands of dollars. You could end up billing your client and that’s why over you’re here, you can see and again these aren’t Canadian dollars, not US dollars, twenty dollars and seventy one cents for that click.

That’s crazy! A lot of businesses that I advertise for again. You know landscaping or whatnot one two dollars for a click. This is just a general guide. I mean it doesn’t mean every click that you get if, if you’re a divorce lawyer in Orlando advertising, for that term doesn’t mean you’re going to pay $ 21, it might only be $ 4 or $ 5. This is just a guy died. It’s not anything! You know exact science to go by so anyways just going down here.

We can click up top here and just like Excel. We can arrange all the terms in ascending or descending order, so child supports a huge one here, right, search for or 5,400 times, but the term child support. If you’re looking you’re a lawyer and you’re trying to gain clients, is that really a term that you think will land you paying clients? That’s why it’s only you know four dollars and 24 cents a click here.

That’s why it’s low competition, it’s probably not going to generate people, it’s not at the end of that sales, funnel where people have their credit card out and they’re. Looking for that term and trying to hire your services lawyer 590 times a month attorney 480, so it just gives you an idea. You know what people are typing in in your business. So let’s change this to painting your painting business.

So now I wasn’t too accurate here. I guess abstract art, acrylic paint, paintings spray paint, probably not the best one, how about how about lawn care and we type in lawn care. You can see landscaping, lawn service, landscaping, ideas if you look at these high ones. Those are the ones. No, that’s not a good example lawn mowers, not something if you’re a landscaping company you’re not wanting to put in the term lawn more on your website.

People are not looking for landscaping services when they’re typing in lawn mower. They would be looking for lawn service. I mean that they’re. Looking for your for your services again here, you can see that’s a seven dollar and twenty two cent click lawn care services, Wow almost twelve dollars, that’s showing again, it’s not searched a whole lot. Seventy times a month, these are just general guidelines by the way they’re, not exact dead-on, so one maintenance, 7oa, so yeah lawn lawn care can be an expensive category as well, just showing you basically in the city of Atlanta.

How competitive is now that can change from city to city depending again on supply and demand? How many people are competing for those keywords, so that’s the Google Keyword planner tool and again, that is just looking for giving you keyword, ideas to use on your website. So what exactly do you do with those keywords, once you have a list of popular keywords? That’s great your your a lawn care service here or landscaper, and you say, yeah okay, lawn service looks like a you know, really good one that I need on my website.

People are in the you know, looking for those services lawn care services just start writing all those key ones down that you think people would be typing in lawn. Maintenance is another good one yeah. I know it’s only search fifty times, but those are the people at the end of the sales funnel looking for your services write all those down and what do you do with them? Well, let’s have a look, let’s type in Orlando family-law whoops, and I really can’t spell here: can I so Orlando family law and let’s see what comes up so you’ll notice in this in the results? Look at this one, two, three four ads at the top.

This map thingy, which will go in more detail in module four, if you want to figure out how to get your business on the map here, you look, you’ll see different attorneys and you know on these little red dots here that are listed. The large dots are these ones that are the top three here I’ll show. You we’ll discuss that as well how to get your business on the map, so we go down. Ok, now we’re into the actual organic as they call them or organic.

Is you know, unpaid for we’re not paying for ads? These are the firms that are ranking at the top for the term family law. So what? Let’s figure out? Why are they ranking for the term family law, so I’ll click on the number one result? Let’s have a look at their website, okay, so this one he has the word family and the title up here again family. Here, it’s quite prevalent right at the very top. One of the first things you can click on is family law he’s ranking for the term.

He I should say he or she, or this firm is ranking for the term family law. I mean kudos to the web designer, whoever designed this website they ranked first in a large city for a very competitive term, and – and these are you know again right here – the term family law. So those search bots that I was talking about earlier – they go through. They crawl this site; they they see the term family law.

Okay, this this page must be about family law. Now I want to give you one caveat here: one warning: do not go and stuff your web page with the term family law. If you’re a lawyer, saying okay tom says, I need to you, know, put this keyword in here a bunch of times and then I’ll rank for it. That’s no! No, please do not do that, make it as natural as possible right, you’re content with natural flow and include that keyword.

You know two or three times, maybe in a clickable link, if that’s an important term, that you’re actually trying to rank for and that’s it do not overdo it. If you overdo it, you’re going to get yourself a penalty, the again the search engines are brilliantly smart. They’re there they will pick that up, they will say okay, this particular page has you know 300 words and the keyword has been used seven times.

That’s. You know obviously way too much they’re trying to game the system, and we will assess a penalty to this webpage. Just letting you know you know there are rules against it, so don’t get yourself a penalty just make it look. Naturally you know I would be you know with this many words. Three four: the most times I would use family law, but I think they’ve gotten away with maybe five times here.

So let’s go back again. This is you know. What do you do with these keywords? Look at that, so they ranked number one and two in a large city kudos to them. Excellent. Let’s have a look at this one. So again, the term is family law, their websites taking a little long to load but they’ve ranked fairly well in a large city. Here we go family law right at the top, so good for you, Donna, okay, again family law at the top here in a drop-down menu, family and right, family law here and family law and again another that’s just their menu family.

A lot at the bottom, just showing you what keywords do and why certain websites get ranked for certain terms of certain keywords, because they actually use it in their content wisely. They don’t overuse it they and it and again, like I say, there’s 200 different variables that go into deciding why a web shuts website should rank highly, and this particular website is not only using the keywords, but it’s an attractive website.

It’s it’s. It probably has great metrics from Google there they’re picking up that people are spending. You know a fair amount of time on the website they’re clicking through, and those send signals back to Google that that website is valuable for people looking for the term family law. So they rank it high every every new website. I find if you come up with a new website. It’s going to be you know, given a chance, Google says: ok, yeah your new.

If, if you submit it, you have to submit it first of all, ok and I’ll I’ll show you how to submit it later. That’s that comes in in later how you can, in module 3, how you can submit your website in order for Google to actually yeah crawl. It say: hey, Google, I’m over here, come check. My website out it’ll, give your website a shot and you’ll notice early on all of a sudden, maybe not necessarily the first week, the second week or even the first month.

Your website will appear, but then all of a sudden, it will be there up near the top for certain keywords and it will grade your website. Basically, it’s giving you a shot, saying: ok, you’re new, let’s see how you make out and people will have an opportunity. There’ll be a few people, just you know, showing in the search results. Oh there’s there’s your website, they’ll click on it and and it’s basically a rating.

You know how long did they spend on that website? Did they like bounce right back to they say uh? This isn’t a very good website, or it’s taking too long to load. Forget it, I’m hitting the back button button and checking out the next search results. If they’re spending lots of time on your website, that’s good for you! Google will give you some more time to evaluate your site and see if it deserves to be on the first page or you know in the top near the top of the rankings.

That’s just my experience, my gut feeling. That’s that’s from my experience. What actually happens? Okay, so we we know about keywords. We know how to find keywords: I’ve, given you an idea how you should use them in your site. Now, let’s say you have, you know four different main services, let’s say you’re a landscaping company and you want to rank for the term lawn care. You want to rank for the term snow removal.

You want to rank for the term landscaping. The those are all different keywords, so should you have one page with all those different keywords on it and then it gets kind of confusing. I find, if you focus you know to like snow removal, for example, would have its own page, and you would talk about some. Your snow removal services and your value to the customer and your snow removal quote form there and, and that would be the most effective way for Google to say.

Okay, this page is about snow removal and that’s in the search results we’re going to serve that up. For people looking for the term snow removal, surfaces of snow plowing, you get the point, but if it has snow removal, landscaping lawn care all on the same site. Google says okay yeah. It has snow removal on there. But it’s got these other things and it’s probably going to waste. You know the visitors time and they’re they’re not going to spend as much time on it necessarily so we’re not going to rank it as high.

That’s again, that’s my personal experience, try and focus if you have different services and within your business, dedicate a page to each that’s my my personal tip when you’re when you’re making your website so anyways moving on I’ve shown you what you can do with these keywords. Again, these keywords also come into play when you’re doing any pay-per-click advertising very important, that you have those keywords within your content.

If you’re trying to market your business in these ads up here, okay, so family law, firm family law, family law, those are right in the title – the term family law and this this ad. Here, I’m just going to guess: I’m just trying to see if the term family law is in it, I’m going to guess that this particular ad they’re playing a lot more just because they don’t actually have the term family law in it.

When we did the search for family law, so these three ads do and – and that’s important I’ll, show you and I’ll cover that in module 3. Why you want to include those keywords in your content and also in your ads, so moving on I’ll show you another tool. Uber suggests: okay, uber suggests dot, IO ubersuggest dot, IO, just a quick. You know tidbit here, dot IO. I said what what say. Oh, you know you usually have dot-com dot CA.

That’s Indian Ocean anyways. Just for those that want to know so uber suggests is a is a keyword idea, generating tool. So, let’s type in the term lawn care, and then we just simply you can select. You know on the web or what is this for we’ll leave it on the web. Yeah English select your language click on suggest, and it’s going to come up with a bunch of keyword, ideas for us, okay, so a long Caroline care service, lawn care tips, lawn care near me.

Lawn care companies, ok lawn care business. These are not necessarily keywords that you would find on the Google Keyword planner tool, and it just gives you some more ideas when generating keywords. Okay, my final tool that I want to explain to you a process that I to use that’s often very effective, is the good old-fashioned, noggin right, so try and use you know, put all your marketing cap and think put yourself in your customers, shoes.

You know your business best and try to imagine what kind of key terms would your customers be typing into the search bar in order to search for your business, your services, your product. So, let’s you know, you grab a pen, you grab a piece of paper and you you just start coming up with those a list of those key terms. Now keep in mind. Every excellent marketer will be using those tools that I just showed you and they’ll have access to those same words and phrases key words that you are also competing for.

So I like to be I like to try me unique, try to be different, separate yourself and come up with unique phrases. Sometimes they flop sometimes they’re that golden nugget that sets you apart. So lets. You know, okay, let’s, let’s pretend I’m going to pretend. I don’t know landscaping company and I’m just going to put on my marketing hat close my eyes and just start thinking of what I would type in if I was looking for some kind of services by a landscaping company.

So it goes lawncare’ lawn care, lens cake and company. No, no, keep in mind when you’re typing these in in your own city. The results that come up luckily search engines are smart enough to did sector okay, this person’s looking for a service, something that’s offered locally. So you’re not going to get results for if you’re living in New York you’re not going to get results for a Boston landscaping company on the first page, you’re going to get local results around wherever you are so ok, let’s continue on one care quotes.

Somebody looking for you know, they’re deep in the sales funnel they’re looking for they’ve got their credit card out, they’re looking for services right away, just start, making a list write those down and try implementing those and putting some of those into the keyword planner tool, see If they come up see what kind of volume they have and if you want to implement those put, those on your website give them a try.

Okay, so that almost concludes the second module on keywords. If you’re looking for some bonus material would like to see some of the resources that I use you’re, more than welcome. I have them listed on my website at Tong telecom, slash traffic, so type in your URL bar Tom Telecom, slash traffic and you’ll, see the all four modules will be listed. There you’ll have an opportunity to go through each and you’ll see at the bottom.

I I will list some resources that I would use for keyword, research, some of the experts in the industry, some of the people that I look up to and follow and you can check their stuff out too. One thing I will mention shameless plug here. If keyword, research is not something you’re interested in, I get it you’re busy, you’re a business owner, you’re an entrepreneur – and you say: hey Tom, I you know this is great stuff, but I’ve got no time for this and you would like me to hire me for Right now currently have a $ 99 package.

If you go to Tom Telecom and look under services, I will personally there’s a form for you to fill out I’ll, get to know about your business and your customers in your geographical location. Okay. That concludes module. 2. I hope you enjoyed it and I encourage you to move on to module 3, where we will learn all about pay-per-click advertising to me, the most effective tool in try and attracting targeted traffic to your small business website Bar None.

How Long Should Music Promotion Be?

Com, because I saw it myself and, as a matter of fact, this article right here was inspired by a conversation I had in brandman network.Com a Few days ago, hey it was just a few people. It was like five artists and, like a manager, was chopping it up having a conversation right and this artist expressed that she didn’t like the fact that she could drop something and then just like a week or so later, people forget about it completely.

I don’t even know it existed or they’re just done. They moved on to the next thing and then I made me ask her: how long do you promo? I just thought about. Okay, how long do you push your stuff and then you know she answered and then I started to hear other people talk, and I really came to the conclusion that you know what a lot of people that I hear they don’t push. They don’t do their campaign as long enough, so how long enough is a good campaign? How long should you be working to push us your stuff? Well I’ll tell you this me personally, a lot of things, whether it’s my festivals, when I first started that when I was a little certain artists, just a lot of things, I do like three or four months, three or four months I’ll, just keep it at that Straight simple, three to four months, is how long I push things when I’m pushing out of security out of obscurity, and that means unknown to known and getting people to convert right, unknown to known and getting to people to version each of those are phases.

So you have to keep pushing because when people see something one time, that’s probably not the time that they’re really going to soak it in or check it out. I see articles by artists. They drop articles that I know, and I actually like that. I don’t even read the first time I see them when I’m like scrolling through YouTube’s, and things like that cuz. I might be on for a different reason. So you have to keep that in mind because alright, so I’m going to break a few things out.

This articles off the fly, but I want to make sure you get everything you can at least from this article in terms of doing it for three months, all right. First, the way I even learned this was like a harsh personal experience, probably like seven years ago. Now I don’t know but um I did a panel. I actually talked about this a blog, but I did a panel so I’ll keep it short. Three people who want to panel three CEOs were on the panel and yeah.

Four people showed up to the event three people in the panel and, like some legit CEOs were on the panel on within in tech industry, mostly so I’m music, but four people showed up three of those people that showed up. Quote-Unquote was me and two people who are helping me me and two people that were helping me that third one was a, I mean the fourth one was a guy will just randomly walking by. I was like yo.

What’s going on, oh snap, this is dope. I’m going to get in so why was that for me? First of all, I didn’t put enough effort into marketing that particular event. This is where I go by the 10x rule that Grant Cardone talks about so much. So it’s a great book or just hearing him talk about that concept. For y’all we don’t know, but the rule is basically most of the things like it’s not this whole inspirational thing.

Yeah you want to 10x your life, that’s cool, but the the the part that I love it. The meat of it is most of the things that you’re trying to achieve are going to likely take 10x. The effort that you think it’s going to take. Why? Because you actually don’t know how much effort is going to take so you’re planning and say I’m going to do this this and this, but you haven’t done it before so you don’t know how the effort that it actually takes all right, so kind of plan.

For that and the reason that event you know I had some successful events a couple of days before in a couple days afterwards, which was a second lesson for me personally, but because I did have some except successful events. I was actually surprised to have like one of my first huge, huge failures, but part of that was because of resources right trying. That’s what I talked about focusing in on, where you want to put people’s attention to and where I learned that personally, because I had 300 people show up to this one thing: hey 120 people show up to this other thing, and then I had four people show Up to this other thing that I would have preferred most of the people show up to that like for real for real, so, but I didn’t have the resources to market that, like, oh, okay, I didn’t have the resources to market all three well right, so you Have to be able to understand the resources that you have at the moment to to you know, determine what you’re going to direct people’s attention to that’s another thing now, when we talk about this three months situation, everybody doesn’t have the resources to do it three months, Because we need the consistent, real legitimate push happening for three months.

So if you cannot start with like three months – and this is just this is just a number of course – it will vary. I so don’t start saying hey. I did this in one month and got these results, and I did it took me really six months. Of course results may vary, but three months is really a good time if you can start thinking and planning. But if you cannot do three months, whatever you have going on right now, I mean typically going to week pushes then you need to start thinking about.

How do I do three and four week pushes all right and now let me see if I could try to extend it to two months and then continue to grow your plan. That way, because maybe you can’t wait till you have a lot of money every single time like maybe only you’re going to take you’ll only be able to do it like once a year. If that’s your situation, I don’t know what the situation is, but what I can say if a lot of artists will find themselves in better positions a lot of times, especially when you’re, like no connections you’re in your room.

You’re is really just you. You’ll find yourself in a better position. Is if you take time you strategize you build up your resources, you get your catalog, you get you all your promo together, you get like all the money. You know you save a lot of money for the budget right, you don’t just! Oh I’m going to throw out $ 50 here and throw out $ 50 here, like that. That’s cool with your testing. But when we’re talking about your campaign and trying to build to actually make sure things get like traction, then you’re better off saving all that money and then being intentional about where you spend it.

To make sure you can add that to the push to the push to the push and you keep pushing that track throughout your campaign or keep pushing whatever that content is throughout your campaign and honestly, I mean regularly it’ll still do this right, so it’s not really Just a if you don’t have a resources is really the best way to go about it: okay, you’re trying to create a groundswell and a what’s the word, a buzz there.

We go a buzz it’s because all a lot of energy in a concentrated area right is going to have a greater impact. Let’s keep it at that. So please consider lifting your campaign. I don’t care. If it just means you can only do it two more weeks and usual, and maybe that’s going to make you think differently as well. It should because now you have to get creative well. What can I do to do a little bit of this or to keep things going? If I don’t have the money to bring four or maybe I need to wait an extra two months before I even drop this project because who’s waiting on the project most likely like, especially if you’re starting from nowhere right, nobody’s waiting on the project.

It’s only Hubie Nancy about getting it out. That’s why patience right is a huge thing we hear so many people talk about patience and mindset and all that stuff and patience, patience, patience. Well, it’s a real thing. If you talk about executing correctly, because this plan and extending the plan and making sure you put the right amount of effort, energy into the plan is literally that’s that’s the part where people win.

So many people have information and right read these reading these articles and things like that, but the execution is where it’s all one at the end of the day, that’s just what it is so I’ll leave this article that once again this was on the fly. I don’t want to add too much other information and random stuff, maybe we’ll get in deeper to some of that type, some of that strategy and planning in another article but uh yeah other than that.

Once again, this article is brought to you by brain man, network.Com cuz. I signed myself if you like this article, go ahead like better, maybe like in my school shared, not subscribed, you know what to do. Get-Get subscribe,

Long Form Content and Why You Need It!

Now those of you who are new to the blog, I’m a digital marketer. I specialize in helping artists, like yourself, get their songs heard through platforms like Spotify, like Instagram, like YouTube and a bunch of others. Now what I want to talk with you guys about today, is why you? Yes, you should be incorporating long-form content into your content.

Marketing strategies now long-form content is pretty much anything. That’s about 10 minutes or longer. I like to paint because of how short people’s attention spans are today that even seven minutes plus can be considered long-form content, but outside of that, I just want to give you guys. Some examples of what that would look like why it would benefit you to think of something to add into your game plan and just what types of growth and what types of relationships you can expect to build.

Your fans, through this long-form content, but before we’re getting all of that coming, follow me on Instagram. I made sure to put my name on the screen. Come talk to me. Come engage with me. You can’t give me some article ideas, all of that good stuff. Now, with that being said, let’s get right into it now, as marketers. I know we’re always on artists about their content and their content plans. Right, like you need more content, you need other posts on your Instagram, your YouTube, your Twitter.

You need stuff to pretty much. Keep people eyes on you, and one thing I often don’t see you get taken advantage enough from rising artist, is long-form content. Now, in the form of article, that’s usually content. That’s like I said earlier about 10 minutes or longer. I consider seven minutes. The longer could be long-form content just because people’s attention spans are short but we’ll get into why I consider that long-form a little bit later now, let’s get into the.

Why right the? Why of the long-form content? Why am I making you the artist who already has a million things to do figure out 10 minute plus articles to answer that YouTube, blog or Facebook whatever and the three wise or the three reasons? I want you to focus on our opportunity for fan, engagement and relationship, building our revenue and getting these platforms to reward you. So, let’s start with the opportunity for a fan, engagement and relationship building.

Now, I’m one of the things that you guys look into as you’re going out, it’s trying to figure out how to convey a message to your fans so that you can build your brand effectively right, because that is what brand building is. It is getting your message across to your target audience over and over and over to the point of they start to know and believe it and just like they. They know you’re a brand as soon as they look at you and one of the best ways to do this is through content.

That gives you time to express this message. You can’t often get your point across in a three-minute song. You can’t always get your point across in a minute article clip on Instagram, but when you give yourself time to talk these things out or time to kind of relate these messages a little bit more fluently. That gives you a better chance of building with your audience. On top of something where they have a lot more information to deal with you off of it, for example, there’s a producer right now who I pound on the article about by the name of Kenny beets.

He has a show on his youtube blog called the cave on the cave. He brings on different rappers and has them wrap over beat that he makes in like 10 minutes now. I was out of just the cloud that he gets from these artists. What’s really cool about Kenny Beeson show is that it gives him a chance to shop his personality. I’ve been a fan of Kimmy beats for at least two years like I remember his earlier work with ki and all that stuff, and I never knew he was funny until I started reading this show as I got through reading this show.

It allowed me to connect with him on a different level as a fan so well now I feel like. I know him a little bit more as a person as opposed to just another producer, and that is where the beauty of long-form content lies. It gives you a chance to build with your audience on a different level, how you do that is going to be a little bit up to your creativity and your resources, but just the fact that you are given an opportunity to do it helps in such a Tremendous way – and we are in a point where people will read this long-form content as long as it’s interesting enough, like you, would be surprised at things that people read on YouTube and on Facebook and on Instagram just because it’s there and just because it caught their Attention and that becomes a gateway point for you to start building them and selling them, among other things, that you’re doing now.

The second point that I want you to focus on is that these platforms, these social media platforms, will reward you for your long-form content. If it’s actually keeping people around and for 2 seconds, this example we’re going to focus on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube now on Instagram alone, I think the number is about 56 % of Instagram users come to Instagram for long-form content, and it’s actually up from previous years About like 26 %, something like that, you have to look the numbers up, don’t plug me directly on it now.

What’s interesting about Facebook and Instagram, specifically is a GTV right. Instagram has got to a point where algae TV is the new brainchild. It’s their new baby and they want it to do well. So you know what they’re doing they are actively rewarding people on Instagram who use IG TV with more reach. More engagement and faster growth speeds pretty much for the people who are using it right, which means you are at a point where, if you are figuring out your lawn fawn, constant strategy, you are playing around with algae TV.

You will get in on the ground. Work of it early and take advantage of them trying to push people out who are using it way before everyone else who’s going to jump on it once it’s already lit, because I look at it this way, people would joke on IG TV, but come on Facebook’s, Not going to let their idea die down, there got to keep it alive for as long as they possibly can, like. I said by rewarding people who are actively using it who are trying to make something of it, because that’s what they want to be the forefront of their product right now.

Now, very similarly, YouTube rewards users who have long read hours on their blog by pushing their content out through their algorithm. So they pretty much go hey you! You made really interesting content and you keep people on YouTube. We, like you, so we’re going to make sure thousands and thousands of people see your content and hopefully they’ll, spread it out and keep even more people on YouTube.

That’s how you to seize it. So the best way to get longer read hours on YouTube is to give your audience more content to read which it gets pretty hard to do with three minute: music articles or four minute lyric articles. So the best way to get around this is create a long-form content series that you can actively put out, through the blog, to increase your read time, to increase that engagement, to keep people on your blog, so that YouTube will reward you, and you can also take That same content put on your ID TV work that as well so that Instagram and Facebook rewards you, and I think Facebook has its own article platform, but you won’t even give in to that for it today.

I just want you guys to start thinking about putting out long-form content and thinking about deals on what that would look like for you, and the third reason on why I want you to consider making some type of long-form content is something I think a lot of You I want to hear that’s money more specifically at revenue, so pretty much when you make articles or certain links on YouTube and on Facebook they place as within your articles.

Now I don’t know if everyone knows this, but you get paid for those ads being around me. Your articles you get paid for when they get readed um. I think the rate comes out to be about three to five dollars per every, like thousand views or something thousand abuses on your blog you get paid for that. So the more long-form content you have on Facebook. You have on YouTube, I’m sure it’s coming to Instagram.

Eventually, because it’s on Facebook as well the more opportunity for pay that you bring yourself, meaning that your long-form content essentially becomes another source of revenue, for you becomes another way for you to put money into your pocket. To do the things that you need to do. A lot for just make an entertaining ten to fifteen minute articles that keep your fans on the blog fans that you were going to try to keep on your blog anyway, at least that’s how I look at it.

That’s that’s how I see this whole thing now, of course, like everything else, making long-form content does have its disadvantages, but the way I see it is there things that you’ll have to get over anyway. So there’s no better time to start practicing than now. One of those disadvantages is that more content means more of your time that is consumed and, if you’re, an artist who’s already doing a lot of things.

You’re writing your own music and making your own articles your handle your own marketing. I do understand that this can be taxing, so it may be something where you need to seek outside help to help you make long-form content, um, even the editing alone, or you know getting someone to help you with that side. Will save you a lot of time and help make it a little bit easier, so I suggest reaching out to a friend or looking for someone on something like Fiverr or something like that.

Just someone who can help offset some of that lobe and, secondly, is you will be battling people’s attention span, meaning that if it is not interesting, if it is not good, people will not read it, and some of your work will go in vain, but that doesn’t Mean that you shouldn’t seek to make long-form content, you should just seek to get better, get more, entertaining refine your craft or find your long-form content ideal and figure out how to get people more interested and more engaged in it, so that you can do all the Things that I just talked about – and I know I can already hear some of you guys but Cory – what are some long-form kind of saying ideas I can do.

I literally can’t think of anything and the ones that come off the top of my head, and you may be better than me. You may think of something more creative and more on brand for yourself than me, but I always suggest the people to look towards one podcast, which I have a article about that I mention to put the link in the description below um. You could do skits, you could do interviews. You could do analysis on your content, like how-to articles, for some of you producers and like articlegraphers.

You could always do like deep dives into your own music from, like your perspective or your friends perspective, but one of the easiest long fun contents that I think the artist can do is a vlog. Anyone can make a vlog. You can follow yourself around with your camera. You can get your friend to follow you around with his cell phone or his phone camera, and one of the points I always get from artists is that they feel, like their lives, aren’t interesting enough.

They feel like they can’t make vlogs and some things are lit and the one piece of advice I always get the people towards vlogs is that everyone thinks that life is boring. That is exactly why they will read your life, no matter what it is on internet because they want to escape their own troubles their own day-to-day by reading what you have going on and that all goes back to what Gaby cause documenting and people like seeing you Document the things that go in your life, people like seeing every process of your life, everything that you’re doing especially your fans, so definitely take advantage of it.

Now, for those of you who are already practicing your lawn for incontinent strategies, I love to hear about what you’re doing I was working out for you. Brave+IPFS v1, Browser Design Guidelines, WebUI updates – IPFS GUI and Browsers Weekly, 2019-10-30

If anyone wants to add something feel free to do so. I’ve added two first two items, so I quickly go over them and then we will go, spend some more time on the rest, so the first one should combine and recover from missing local gateway. So, for a background, we are working on improving resilience in like offline or like censorship and by maybe not driven, but like impacted environments.

So if request for ipfs resource files due to HTTP error or network error and request to a public gateway, we will recover from that and that will land or it landed in the latest beta. We which soon be published to Chrome Web Store and Firefox MO. But basically we recover requests for resources at the public gateway and the question is: what happens if local gateway goes offline? Maybe it was shut down.

Maybe it crashed how companion should act in theory, we could do similar thing if requests to local gateway failed. We could recover and open the resource using public gateway. This is like a seamless experience. The potential con for this is that it will leak information about which resource user was trying to open. It will link that information to the public gateway user has in settings such as a public gateway.

So that’s like an open question. I wanted to broadcast if there are other, like other considerations. Apart from this, like privacy leakage, I should or like how you X should work should that is it okay for this feature to be enabled by default, but behind it like a toggle, so people who can’t privacy conscious people can disable this behavior. So those are like questions I wanted to highlight and like ad-hoc thoughts on that, I don’t think so.

It’s do. We have enough local gateway usage like what’s the? What is the level of a threat? I guess every user we’ve active as desktop is basically using local gateway. Okay, when we install IP first companion, it checks if local gateway runs. If not it the on the welcome screen, we explicitly ask people to install ipfs desktop or go ipfs, and basically we communicate that that’s the default mode.

You should be using IP FS companion as a companion to IP first desktop, so I feel most effective as companion users will be running local gateway, but sometimes they will shut it down, forgot to run it or maybe they would they bookmarked linked to local gateway. But the local gateway is no more so I’d say like most of companion. Users will be having this gateway. We don’t have starts how many like request to local gateway fails because we are not tracking user actions can just desktop, have a log of where requests are coming from so like this Desktop know that it’s its companion requesting we could, assuming those api’s, do not disappear.

In manifest before we free, we could add a special header, informing local gateway, that this request comes from web browser with IQs compiled. So we could do that. We don’t do that yet, but how would that information be cool? It will like the implementation guide, which is, for example, we need to use an information to make it useful yeah, so you’d have to like expose this information to through like to the country.

Somehow the problem is like URL, that’s that’s pretty complex, yeah yeah and it’s like also the problem is, we would be able to track requests that reached like local, a gateway. We won’t be able to log request which failed. That thing needs to be locked at the companion level, so we are back to come like tracking, so the I think really maybe focusing on what they end user is trying to do. Might give us the best answer here: yeah physical, the the exposure, especially in the censorship mitigation, said it’s.

They really do want to get to that content, and that is probably the most important thing, but some of the design work that we have around letting them know the relative risk of doing that. It’s going to maybe help the situation and mitigate the level of danger. There, because I think, you’re right like there, is a leakage and exposure if you’re just constantly sending out these C IDs out to the Gateway that we’re intended to remain private, but without knowing why the user loaded it in the first place.

That’s very difficult to determine. Yeah, it may may be that it’s feasible to do this as an opt-in, because, like X, like leaking this kind of information as a default, we can just like tor project, cannot assume people reading caldera, docks and understand it fully. I don’t think, there’s a risk that people make certain assumption if we say that companion is able to recover from like censorship. I think there’s like a deeper discussion around what well one thing.

Also, what let’s say that the connection is made to the local gateway and in the case so everything’s working local gateways up companion, makes the request to local gateway. Local gateway makes that then you that’s talking to your desktop nerd and then you’re. Just talking makes that broadcasts that’s the ID to the public network at that point right if it doesn’t have the CID it’s default. Action is to essentially do the same thing yeah.

So the information leakage that happens at the idea, fest level is sort of like I want to like box it. I want to like keep that sort of separates cuz. We could imagine there would be a private profile in ipfs, which runs only let’s say: tor transport does not. It has a ephemeral peer ID each time it starts and things like that and then the only like leakage affected would be. Would you remain in companion yeah, but at that point, like you, really need to have more explicit configuration and communication around that to begin with, like companion and desktop, would have to have a much stronger and negotiated like communication at that point, so that the user, using Companion knows that they are protected in that way, so I feel like you’re, going to solve that problem in the UX explicitly in that case, no matter what yeah.

So I think you are right at this stage how how transports and how our likely provider announced like announcing everything you have locally to the HD. If we recover from local gateway, we effectively do not leak anything more than I give us no leaks right now. Yeah. I think way to describe it. Is we don’t leak anymore than we would have? Ipfs is working optimally as designed yeah, and that does there there are that design.

We know is a known problem that we need to fix yep, it makes sense and if there, if we added this like privacy mode at some point in the future, we then would like disable this behavior detect that yep all right. I think that’s enough for that. Let’s move to the next one, I try to make this even shorter, so we are publishing our browser extension to both Mozilla and Google stores, so every chromium based web browser is basically installing a sign package from Chrome Web Store and the Google is in the process Of like introducing a new set of web extension, API switch significantly change the capabilities of extensions and those new IP eyes are not even published yet nor we know what to really expect.

There is no nightly chromium built which enables us to play with it. Yet. However, Chrome Web Store already started, making life more difficult if your web extension is using those powerful API eyes. So it’s very unfortunate for us, because we we have both better and stable blog on Chrome Web Store and right now, due to the fact that we use those powerful api’s every new every release, both beta and stable, goes into this in-depth review, which means, instead of Like being published within one hour, it may take now, multiple days or weeks before the published version is available to the public that also impacts brake integration, because that toggle and brave is using chrome, webstore sin means of distributing design package.

So that’s that’s unfortunate, especially for the better blog, because I released a new better today and the problem is it’s not on the Chrome Web Store, I believe at least it was not before this code, so I released it two hours ago and maybe it is nope. It’s still in the review, so that’s that’s the problem like on Firefox it’s available immediately because we are self hosted on Chrome. We use Chrome Web Store for our distribution of the better blog, and I think we are not able to do anything about this.

Maybe we could switch to self hosted beta. This is the most mostly a PSA in case someone wants to try the latest batons or stable or C’s there’s a new companion version, but it’s not available for Chrome. That’s why it might take a week or more to be published and we’re still trying to figure out how to mitigate that. I think that’s it from me. It’s only going to get harder yeah. It’s like this is the beginning, yeah, it’s! I understand changes of api’s and things like that, but it’s like bit frustrating that we are being like vanished, but we are not provided with api’s.

That’s replaced those IPS that are being deprecated. So it’s like yeah, it’s a it’s. The classic google classic google move, which is to deprecate the old product before the new one, has been, but at the API level, but in this case, like you know, by design, they want to eradicate that permission like they they’ve made it pretty clear. They don’t want ad blockers to exist and that permission allows you to do like it’s a pretty broad permission.

So I kind of understand that you know it’s a very it’s always we know when we were building Firefox, it’s the most risky permission. I could give an add-on view into every bite that crosses the network from there from there for people who are not familiar. We are talking about web request api’s, especially like the blocking version which lets you both like inspect every request. That goes and every response that goes back so you can check like headers companion, is using that to tell oh, this is a request for ipfs resource and I will redirect it to local gateway and that’s why we need this permission on every web site.

So every web site can use content addressing and it will be supported. Out-Of-The-Box yeah we’ll see what time, what will I’m waiting for manifest version free at least to land, to this nightly build of chromium? So we at least can see what we are able to re-implement and what functionality of companion will be lost because right now we are not even able to participate in discussion curve because there’s like no API draft, not even like a document with example of API.

So we are not even able to like on the piece of paper just to prototype nothing yeah Huck. Do you want to talk about idea, Scott cohost? Yes, I just readed PR to make ipfs co-host compatible with the spec, so that I was wondering if we should release the 2.0 version for pesco hosts or address some issues. First, such as testing or the lingo of GSI PFS yeah. I have thoughts on that. So my thoughts on that, if we release it as 2.

0 right now, it will spawn and by jacek, if s and we’ll still include it as a dependency right, yeah. Yes, so then, where? If we decide to do like convert this to a proper library which is not bundling, then we need to like release 3.00 again right yeah, that’s true! Let me just check, which is the introduced version like if it we could, if it’s 1.0 yeah it is, we could do with 1.1 because there’s no breaking changes.

We only made additions and I know we remove the flag, mmm, there’s a breaking change. Now I think it’s like switched to 2.0. Is it’s a good, a better idea? Cuz, we effect if you change the entire back and how those websites are hosted. Yeah yeah, I I think I feel if we wait for like this decision or like refactoring Jessica’s out it maybe take more more time to be released, so maybe just released 2.

0 and then, if we decide to convert it to library, find them it’s like 3.0. Just a number right you all right and then we could add it to co-hosting spec like repo, okay, the green, so people can like actually play with the spec without, like so there’s a value in releasing it. You give a more polished implementation of co-hosting spec and we could start playing with it in companion and desktop yeah, because it’s is it a problem that, like is the problem for developer.

It takes more space like node modules. Take small space but, like I just combined, depends on Jase ipfs anyway. Ip first desktop may add support to JSA. Give us anyway at some point so for our projects it does not matter and for other projects, PRS welcome. That would be my approach. I think ok I’ll get is really stay. Thank you. Dietrich. Do you want to tell us about browser vendor design, guidelines yeah? Well, if, when I’m able to find that tab, it’s the word well sure.

So a quick discussion about the introduction into a project that we’ll be doing over the next few months with a designer will be joining us temporarily to work on this. This. The idea is that when we talk to browser vendors, they have existing web standards and design teams and security teams that, at that intersection of security and user interface, design, iconography and visual communication patterns for the things that we see in the browser relative to thinks.

We should be concerned about so is your connection secure or not the padlock very familiar with everybody, but whether they understand it or not? It’s a whole different question, but either way a lot of thought. A lot of practice, a lot of experience and a lot of care goes into the treatments and the visual treatments of how things are communicated when a navigation event happens in the browser. So the idea here is that, for ipfs we have a set of use.

Cases about what ipfs provides in the browser is an well articulated threat model around the things that it needs to communicate, suggestions for UX patterns and interaction, design patterns and recommendations and experiments in iconographic treatments for what types of icons should actually be in the URL bar. When my professors present in a way that that communicates the things that users may or may not need to be concerned about when loading cryptographically, verifiable yet can come from anywhere a p2p content and a browser for the first time, that’s really ever happened in a in A meaningful way we can use this materials when we’re talking to browser vendors and when we’re talking to standards bodies when we engage that w3c in the IETF to communicate, have something tangible to communicate and open a discussion about so far.

You know we’ve seen several. You know interactions where you know standards Fridays or I got ta, that’s just what you guys are just doing. It’s crazy when you just ask them to come to your world, so this is more of a let’s bring the mountain to them and very clearly state the problems that we’re trying to solve and a set of recommend provide a set of recommendations almost like I said, Of instruction manual for them to follow or a design kit that speaks the language of the of the design teams that would be implementing this in browsers sort of their very least reviewing it so they’re aiming to start hope.

Hopefully, there’s a couple of weeks on this work and will definitely be present to get here. The I prevents desktop and ipfs companion applications are the the user facing. Are you know, artifacts of the office project for the most part, so in or at least for the internal work that we do so we’ll probably be using those as guinea pigs to test out some of this material and up experiment with applying it to how we’re Implementing user interface related I professed, but it should be, should be pretty fun and useful and something we’ll hopefully be able to leverage all through next year.

In our conversations with other partners, I just wanted to give you a sneak peak in heads up about that work. That we’ll be starting to see yeah, it’s super, exciting and especially like in Firefox. I see how companion could be like a vessel for look like implementing it and look at how it would look like because, like in interesting facts in chrome, you are not able to add both page action and browser action.

So browser action. Is this button icon in the toolbar and the page? Action is also an icon, but it’s on the right side of location bar address bar sorry. It’s address because we are not location addressed anymore. Those days like like small new small nuances like that are, are really important, because that change that change in language does signify a pretty major or significant yeah a protocol where the command the content comes from.

How many people are hosting kids? Can I co-host it? Should there be an interface for co-hosting the right there, things like that so yeah, it’s exciting brave, maybe perhaps yeah so we talked about it browser week was we identified the set of changes that we need to be made in order to be able to call the Brave integration, a 1.0: what is what has done mean for that first set of work, so I figured this meeting is probably the right place.

Definitely, this is about the right time since we’re now one third through the quarter, and we had a goal of shipping that by the end of the quarter, so this is probably good time to do it. A quick review of where we are with regards to that work and what needs to happen next, so you know meeting with brave and talking about either, like you know, joints blog posts where we announce the you know, ready, ready, ready for use launch as well as You know we talked a little bit before too about maybe do a deeper technical post that identifies the unique and innovative work.

That’s been done to be able to make that happen. Yep, I can look, give a quick, very short overview and then we can discuss so there’s a project called brave in ipfs, companion, repo, which gives you sort of like an overview of related tasks and what’s ongoing and what’s done. However, there is this progress. This is the big meta meta issue, which has some challenges already tackled. Some are not.

I need to go over this list again because I’ve been not looking at this most like working here and update this this project, but long story short things that really remained to be implemented. Our local discovery for browser nodes so right now, embedded JS ipfs is able to detect, go IP affairs in local network, but it’s not able to announce itself. There’s this open problem of DNS its coverage service being already taken, like the port being already taken.

That may be the problem with polyfills, or it may be just a problem with Chrome OS API. So it’s something I need to look at. What reminds him to be done is to see if it can be addressed. If not, we probably need to add additional discovery method, just for like Chrome, OS notes, running in Chrome, OS, environment. Basically all were browser notes such as select brave. They would have additional discovery method on top of all the standard ones.

So it’s not like, we are introducing something custom to replace the generic one. The generic one will still be there. We, when the note he discovers other notes, it runs all discovery methods in parallel and he gets all the results from all of them. I feel that’s. That’s the plan for addressing this, and we should plant this, and apart from that, that’s like the only liquor, miss missing feature on our end.

The rest is mostly performance improvements, so there are like quirks buts, like there are multiple issues related to performance improvements, but honestly, most of them fall under the problem with extensive use of preload or delegate nodes. So I introduced this throttling when you we don’t send more than four parallel requests. However, there are like there are additional limits in chromium, not this one gosh.

Where is it brave, Great Wave? Yes, I believe this one yeah, so it’s like we are, we are triggering anti-ddos protection at both preload nodes now and as well. There is a separate, I believe yes, so this one is our preload nodes throttling us, and this one is chrome itself is saying: oh, this extension is not naughty and it blocks outgoing requests before they leave your machine because turns out.

There is like a built-in anti-ddos protection, so if you have an extension which starts behaving badly and there’s like a terroristic here, so if you get multiple HTTP errors in some time window, your extension is blacklisted and it’s not able to send requests. And basically the problem is our api’s are returning HTTP error 500, if, like DNS link, is not present, which is like not very HTTP semantics.

It’s like a technical depth from the time when HTTP API was used only from by the command-line client of the go ipfs, but now it has unexpected consequences like this. So but you can see it’s mostly like related to the fact that when we start when your bra nodes start browsing, let’s say Wikipedia because all those errors, I just show you those errors, come from the fact that I love that Wikipedia page – and there are multiple Pictures and then each picture is one or more blocks and all those blocks are requested using like delegated the engage, the queries delegate that concentrating computing and that’s like a lot of requests to the rubber preload nodes.

So long story short do something we need to figure out. Something are about this either add a better limit or like remove limits at our preload interrogate nodes. Try to add a wholistic on our end to be below this threshold of chromium. So that’s a mitigation long-term solution is to remove delegated routing and replace that with native DHT, but that won’t happen this quarter. This quarter is basically focused on a secrete factor and if we are able to do that in jail and that’s very good quarter, so we probably it will be at least six months before we have tested and highly functional DHT in Jas.

So until that happens, we will probably need to solve the problem on the problem with delegate delegate its requests. The the the chrome limitation heuristic probably should be implemented deep in the core anyway, right like there is, there is no circumstance under which we do not, but that we want to surpass that we want to hit that limit right thing yeah. So that’s the problem like I understand the one of fixes would be make our API to stop returning invalid error code, make it like 404.

Maybe that seems like a that seems like a much much more aligned with the intent and purpose of the problem is like. That’s requires change to go ipfs and release of corrective s, and then it requires change that release to be installed on our gateways, so it may be faster to address it temporarily at the level of our delegated routing modules cause to me. That seems like we want to make that go change as early as possible.

It’s going to take. If it’s something we know we need to do either way and it’s going to take a while. Then it seems like. Maybe we should get that we should get that requested to go to prioritize that fix, but that’s the problem yeah, that’s this like HTTP 500, is a problem. It’s a big problem across entire API, because it’s not just this one endpoint, the entire API behaves that way and all the HTTP clients expect that behavior.

So you can see how fast we balloon the scope of this change. That’s why I again it I address. I had fully understand it should be fixed, but I am also realistic that before this gets fixed in go and our gateways and our libraries, we will have the HD in Jas and will no longer need to solve this problem. So that’s me just being pragmatic right. All right – and I understand so – I have another question which is less about the contents of these things.

Then maybe we it then then reframing. What 1.0 means we’ve kind of assumed that so far, that embedded note is part of 1.0. Even though embedded note is clearly marked experimental and actually not necessarily recommended for for production use, so I I wonder if we are able to just maybe if for one of the options that we have to be able to kind of make sure that we close up This work, it also kind of aligns with how opera is approaching it to which is just gateway, is their initial release.

What if we pushed on the local network, discovery bit for 1.0 and made that part of 2.0, when we have kind of better understanding of what embedded node capabilities are going to be anyway and better understanding of the performance and – and I can resource consumption of that And instead fix some of these performance issues and then all that call that at one point oh yeah, because it’s not like just to clarify it’s not like without this discovery to break browsers, are not able to discover each other and to exchange like that.

The problem is, these discovery is facilitated by a centralized, signaling server. So that’s, which is how everything else works today, yep our bootstraps now nodes are basically the same thing right very true and JIT. Fs does not remember peers between rest arts and all that just so yeah. I agree, there’s something I hope too land in v1, but now after we broaden the scope of this like browser design guidelines which will be created, I believe it’s not.

We will also probably discover this address bar from the v1 – that’s probably for the next next iteration. Hopefully we will. If we have guidelines, we will provide those guidelines to brave and then pray for you implement. I, like sort of like started this discussion, like maybe not that this started discussion just like, showed the problem and a different direction in which we’ll probably move right like when you remove local gateway from the picture.

How do you present that in address bar that the green padlock is go away? What replaces it’s things like that? I feel that will be the part for the design work you describe, so I feel yep that probably also will be discovered from this yeah. I think I think that makes sense and well, I think, maybe what we should do is kind of like it is in very coarse blocks. We can think of like v1 of integration as things like companion by default local gateway access.

These types of things you know the v2 of browser integration that next major step would be deeper, deeper levels of integration, either in the UI or embedded node, and then like that final third layer, and I kind of lead this out in the browsers post as well. Now final third layer is when we have a native implementation, that middle one is more, that deeper integration level is where things like a protocol handler would be or a node so like in.

If you chop it up into those course, three stages kind of makes sense. Oh yeah and in the v1 we still have like amber that node, but it’s still clearly labeled as an experiment, opt-in, experiment, yep. Actually, basically, it’s like solving the problem with delegate and preload requests: yeah yep, okay. So I think I think that means then so that these days, a couple of performance issues are going to be the priority for brave for this the quarter and then in our next meet up with them.

We can talk about what may be a unified like. Let them know about this phased plan and then talk about when we want to when we would expect Chavez performance issues ready when they would and when they would be ready for a kind of like a joint announcement. I will I will. I will try to get up early yeah call status yeah. This was actually just an it that I had about, and you know that we have the project operations meeting and then we have the now a weekly cross-functional meeting, where it’s like all of the different working groups and project finishes and efforts share a status, and you Know I look at I look at this meeting notes and there’s a lot usually a lot of stuff, but one of the asks that I had for you all is when you note things here, maybe just put like a check mark or something for something that you Would like to be highlighted in that weekly status, so there’s always a bunch of different things landing and it it’s hard to keep up with all of that stuff.

But one thing that would make sure that we’re providing the whole project with a view into the work that you are doing on desktop and on companion and even stuff, where you’re contributing to other parts of the project is to make sure to mark those and list. Those here and then that’ll make it easier for us to be able to broadcast those wins and those achievements that you have made to the brother project so that everybody knows how amazing and awesome you both are.

I was trying throughout the section and now my hot bath is offline. Oh now, it’s online, I think in the past, like when it was with the GUI working group. We had like a highlight section, so maybe we could like replace this, like team updates with highlights and basically have drug or just copy specific links there yeah exactly it just copied up there, because I think it’s really nice to be able to see what you, the Log of things that you both thought were important enough to do and your individual work stream as well.

I think that’s, that’s totally cool, so if there are specific things that you’re like people should know about this, then maybe yep but pop them up on the top. Is that’s a correct work? I vulcanize for this meeting. Look, I know it’s just so: booked Earth’s, an email out or slack miss or something like that about a system he came up with for using crypt pad and like Auto meeting notes generator for it, and I owe you my talk.

I I know I was looking for the link to before this medium like it’s. I can’t remember where he posted it, but I just thought I’d bring it up with something we could look at to reduce the the overhead of of doing the the new generation. I would love for all of our they’d give us meetings, I’m like when unified system that takes the manual aspect out of it is so manual just to post notes right now. I think it was the new I’m sorry.

I think it was an email to shift yeah. I found it. Do you want me to share it or send email ID? I don’t see any link. Okay, it’s published. I will send you the link, alright yeah. I don’t think we need to make a decision or anything today, but I thought it’d be worth bringing up and looking at and ask him a question. Maybe we should decide evaluate it. Oh yeah, I think like I – can try use it like this week for this call and maybe give feedback how it went yeah.

So I remember this: it’s basically creating a peer out. It’s automating all those manual steps. We usually, I need to do to publish this idea. First, team management, people yep it’s right there is it when why do work, when we can use robots all right? Also, my TFS policy. I believe it’s a follow-up for last week’s discussion. Yeah and I forgot to edit first yeah, so I don’t like feet just to remind it’s like we have this.

Also, my PFS, our website, like different projects, articles data set services built or using EFS and it’s backed by a repo and problem is the repo has a lot of PR so pans and we don’t have a written policy. What is considered awesome or not awesome? What’s the threshold for including something into this website, we did not. I did not look at it nor road and it thoughts on this policy. Did you like have time to think about this? What would that be, or should we like? Take it? I think just create an issue in in awesome, ipfs repo, sir I’m trying to find it there already is an issue about the resilience already from Victor from some years ago.

I think yeah, if you can like, find it and add it to agenda it, will at least be like an action item to drop some thoughts on that issue. Yeah, okay, I just did and it’s yeah. This is something that would be what it would be worth talking about in and when one of the things we should put at the top of the agenda because take some time – and I think that’s what we said last week – yeah, I think we after this call – I probably put it at the very top for the next week.

Yes, yeah just do that and dedicate 30 minutes to it. Yeah and everyone will have time to basically get familiar with historical look outlook because yeah we need to like just spend time and and tackle this and publish it. So we can include more people in okay. Apparently, why? When I picture this updates, it is supposed to connect it up check the latest start. Yml file checker serves the new release and download it, which is normal.

This is HTTP, but this is a partisan RCE system I didn’t know about. I don’t know what that is, but apparently, for some reason, I professor stop disconnecting now trying to download load and using git for some weird reason. I don’t know how to check if that’s really happening like this, that specific image is not wrong. It should connect a good app through HTTP or the binary, so it stands, but it’s part and the node part that’s something I don’t know about, because electron has nodes built in so I think it might be node itself checking if there are updates for nodes.

I don’t know if that can be the reason I searched about it. I couldn’t find anything about it, but it might be. I don’t know if node itself checks for new releases yeah, it’s it’s something we probably could look deeper with like Wireshark or TCP dump. Like start recipe Affairs, is it like on Windows, or is it yeah let’s make apparently, but I don’t know what RC is, but it’s some system run exploit right.

No, it’s like remote code execution, execute a yeah yeah. It’s like it’s like useful tool and I I agree. A lot of people may have this type of software running and it may raise some eyebrows why ipfs is trying to connect amazing yeah, but I mean some make sense because not on that specific screenshot, but the github binaries are store stored on Amazon. So then, I don’t know why not that’s not bad yeah.

That’s also like, I think we are using github, which is like centralized service for publishing our artifacts, instead of like using our gateway, might be right, because if you, if the domain here was IDF Sao, I don’t think he. This issue would be here or the discussion around this issue would be different. The problem is, you have github here which is like owned by Microsoft, and then you who is really concerned about this and then you have AWS, which is owned by Amazon.

And then you got and both are used by a TFS which is like sort of like trying to replace an AWS s3 and I’m like yeah. I agree why why it could raise some eyebrows, but I don’t know if we are able to solve this, assuming it’s like our upgrade mechanism, which is like checking this URL around it. It’s supposed to be yeah, I’m not sure if we are able to easily replace this, because it’s like out of the box solution, we are using for publishing binaries, for I believe, windows and chrome right, which are dates also snap and up image.

I think no yeah yeah yeah yeah, but I yeah I, these auto-update mechanism letters choose between either been trained or a custom HTTP website so far like we could use this type FS. The real perpetual there’s an issue about about that when I business system yeah. If so, if we are able to like the lee, replace that, with our like self hosted solution, we do that just to remove like those HTTP requests to github and amazin.

The quick could run have like a dedicated subdomain for that, like like updates, ipfs io or something so in those tools. It’s like self, descriptive, hostname. That removes like. Oh, why this software is. We could call it like out updates ipfs ago or something and there’s a valuing dad’s like all like. If you’re running tour node, you want to like have a specific host name that says: tour exit node, something something so when, like network security, people are inspecting stuff or incorporate environments, they are like aggregating logs and then in different city country person is looking at aggregated Logs and looks at the host names that are repeated, those self-describing host names are super useful.

Okay, could we use just reuse dist? We only have adjusted. I profess that I ship updates. The problem is like this electron update mechanism. It’s probably like requiring custom manifests to be published right yeah, so we we either need to do a PR to the district or we need like a separate domain. I think that that’s not a topic for this call. We can like take this a sink and decide, but, like personally, I I see it like a way to address.

This is to basically move to a self-hosted solution, because I fully understand why people get comfy. With this all right, I like the idea that we’re dogfooding, as well as the fact that we will never stop fighting those battles. As long as the mission of our organization is to allow people self agency in owning their own data and be able to communicate. Without is specifically that list of software companies, I think that no, we will always be fighting that battle for as long as that, we are really really using them.

As apart from apart from like like security, the fact that you are sending to a third party requested a third party, it’s also like pretty by the optics. It’s also. It also could be just bad for that person as well yeah like not just optics, but it could be. It could be a threat to that person here in the US. That’s a that’s a clear and present danger, yeah. That person could be targeted. The like certificate for the trap, or something could be in theory, replaced by some countries and the green padlock – will still be there right.

Yep. I think, like the gist of this discussion, is we need to look what’s needed to switch to self hosted solution. So if you remember, if you remember in Italy, please write down, if not, we probably need to make this research and, OH anything, we need from like infra team. If we, if it’s like a static content, then it’s much easier because we then basically just publish it to ipfs, create a DNS link to some host name.

If it’s like a dynamic website that you need to run some software, then we need to work with infra team, but it’s still something we need to self host cause like more and more people will be using a different desktop and they will be relying on auto-update Mechanism and that mechanism should be like if it’s supposed to ask third power like third party, it should be like protocol ops server, not like someone else right, I’m checking the electron midsection.

They say they support out of the box. It releases Amazon, digital oceans, entry and generic HTTP servers. Here’s the idea, so perhaps perhaps is an opportunity to create a provider at IKEA first provider for electron, build to like publish releases to ipfs, somehow just just an idea, because if there’s this needs to be sort of like a plug-in system, if they support github and Something else something else right: yeah there is a sudden.

I see me IP NS will be fast really soon so any moment now, and that will honestly. That would be probably the best case if we remove reliance on DNS for updates, but even if not going with DNS link would be better than going through github. Alright guys, I feel that’s more or less a conclusion for sad and also like for agenda anything left. We go to two and half minutes now: the another action-packed high high high value stream, Lee productive 57 minutes.

It’s incredible how we always manage to feel entire hour, no matter how many agenda items we have, but if you change the meeting to half an hour when we get the same amount, I think we’ve awesome things done. It still takes one hour yeah if it were to change it in the chamber in the calendar. I it was a good hour, though I guess was my point. That was our well spent. I see how it is like making agenda for the next week, so I think we should end this week’s one and you are just adding awesome eyepieces.

Oh, I know we don’t forget.

Marketing & Branding in 2019 For Insurance Agents!

Today, I am in my hotel room in Phoenix Arizona, just finished the retreat just coming off. The retreat had an amazing time, and today I want to talk a few minutes about promotion, branding and advertising, and that’s something that we went through a lot of on this retreat like SEO like how to promote yourself right how to brand yourself how to advertise yourself In 2019, how to get leads, how to get customers all of those things are things that we went through high level deep dive, all of it for several days.

So one of the things that you need to know when you’re reading insurance agent training today alive is we talked about one thing: everyone always talks about how everything I wear just about is branded. I’m telling you, if you’re not doing this, if you’re not branding yourself right, number one and if you’re not always wearing and promoting your brand, then what are you doing now? I’m not talking about just always throw it in people’s faces right, the hey! I sell insurance house Hill insurance, hey, I sell insurance right, I’m not always throwing in people’s faces.

Hey I trained agent say I trained agent, say I trained agents right or hey, I’m market for agents or hey. We build sites for agents right or hey. You know we generate leads for agents right or hey. I coach, insurance agents we’re not always or hey. We threw a conference for agents, we’re not always putting that out there and throw it in people’s face. So you guys see me do it through article. You see me do it through swag right even on my Apple, read a CA logo, all of it right.

So you guys see me, but also through Instagram stories. Facebook stories random articles right, personal page, I’m not always throwing in people’s faces that hey you need to buy stuff from me. I am focused on educating and providing value. It’s one of the things that we talked about at this retreat. This weekend pay attention now. This is good people do business with people that educate them, who educates you better than anyone else.

The insurance industry and a lot of you do business with us, because we focus on educating you and bringing value to you. Instead of I’m going to shift to give you a little little better lighting here, instead of simply just always preaching, instead of always selling, instead of always pitching instead of telling you’d always buy stuff from me. Instead, I’m telling you the content approach, the marketing approach for 2019 and Beyond is a value first approach, and, if you’re not doing that with the branding of yourself, with with the with with all your social media, with everything that you do, you need to be.

It’s a value, first approach: it’s an educate, first approach and it’s a sell last right. It’s it’s all about! Nowadays, it’s all about how much can I give away for free so that when someone thinks about that topic, they think about me. Most people are backwards like the old way we talk about this a lot at the retreat. The old way is hey, keep everything close to the chest. Don’t tell anybody your secrets, don’t think about everything.

Don’t tell everybody too much right. That’s the old way: the new way is hey. Here’s all that I’m going to provide for free like we do. These shows constantly in articles constantly everything we do. We see how much we can give away and in turn I give so much value so much content that a couple things happen and you can do the same thing in your business and we talk about this a lot at the retreat and if you missed it, I’m telling you I get another one in June you got to be there see, that’s a soft sell in the middle of providing value and that’s okay.

The way you got to approach this today is how much can I give away right? Am I putting emphasis on educating people along the way? Do I provide and bring enough value so that they care and when they think of the services I offer? Will they think of me now they’ll only think of you, if you’re educating them in the right way and providing more value than anyone else in your space, like I feel like, and that’s why we had life insurance agents, Medicare agency owners, P & C agency owners Carriers etc, pay to be on a retreat with us, because we provide the most value from a content and training perspective as much as anybody in the industry.

I give away so much stuff for free because I enjoy it, and I understand that marketing in 2019 that that’s part of it and because of those things, guess what the first in educates them is the person that they think of that they think about training them To think about, buying leads from they think about doing business with. So are you putting the right structures in place? This is insurance agent training.

This is live training on the spot. Are you right now thinking about educating, first, providing value and giving away as much as you can for free? If you look at the course of the 1,200 articles that we’ve put out to the general public to the insurance world over the last three and a half years, no one else has done that. Find me someone. That’s provided more free content to insurance agents, agency owners, IMO’s carriers call centers etc than we do.

But when you that’s, why you? But that’s how you need to think? What do you think about growing your business when you think about when you think about putting your message out there to the world so that when they think about something you have to offer, they think of you think about that approach? How how can you give away so much content, so much value and so consistently, then, when they think about life insurance, Medicare, joining an agency right, recruiting, building a call center right when they think about buying home and auto insurance car insurance when they think about you Know purchasing an annuity when they think about in testing when they think about you, know: ni UL, whatever college funding college planning in any of it when they think about any of these things, who do they think about? Who do you think about who comes to mind? First, when you think about when you think about Medicare and selling Medicare supplements, who comes to your mind first well, what are they doing so that they come to your mind first, and how can you also do those exact same things that they are but better more Value spend more money, pump it out more and do it more consistently so that when someone thinks about Medicare’s subtly Medicare supplements, they don’t think about them.

They think about you. So today I want I want you. I want this to be a thought-provoking episode of insurance agent training that gets you thinking about. How do you advertise market brand and promote in 2019 so that later on, in the later on in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2020 to 2023, 2030, 2040, 2050, even 2060? They think of you right so that that’s the message for today hope you receive it. Well hope you have an incredible rest of it hope you have a dominating week think about the things that you can do to be top of mind and help a lot of people, and the first way is to get around people that inspire you.

That motivates you that challenge you, that you can learn from pay to learn the things that you need to know. That’s one big takeaway, big secret. I that I put out to the world all the time, because I paid to learn the things that I needed to know to scale my business. That’s why this retreat! That’s why the five people that paid to be on this retreat took away so much value. They were blown away so think about how you can implement this in your business right now and forever, so that you dominate your niche of this industry for many years to come.

Thanks for reading interest into training, I hope you have an incredibly an awesome day. We’ll see you tomorrow for phone phenom appreciate you guys,

Episode 16: Where to Start with a Blog Content Strategy | Tuesday Tips

I also thought it’d be really appropriate to shoot from my son’s room as he’s building a Lego set, you know, creating a blog, creating a blog strategy is really like building Legos. Every piece of the strategy has a purpose and if you’re missing certain pieces, you know the end result is not going to be as good.

So when you’re, considering this type of marketing number one make sure that the writer understands the voice of the company and really the direction and what’s valuable to your brand. Secondly, make sure that they understand SEO and how to analyze, where your customers are and really how to speak to them in a certain way, instead of just the only voice, they know a lot of people hire writers that only know how to speak in their voice.

Number three be able to break down that blog, that form of content into multiple pieces. You can promote over a long period of time, purposeful with everything you do.

Content is King! Bloggers are the best! Add more content to your digital world!

An interview with Yannis Larios, Business Development Director of Viva Wallet

It’s about, pin and glass. It’s how a small terminal can change the way you accept cards, it’s small, its light, it’s very cheap, and this change is what we knew up to now on how your accept cards we’ve a wallet of our seat across Europe. We’ve our wallet is offering European merchants a bank in a box which means we are offering card acceptance, an Iban account and the debit business card, all at your own country, which means, if you are a Belgian merchant.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jpMdAS8UWv0

You get a Belgian Ivan if you’re a few gamers and you get the UK, I won. Everything is customized to each and every European country. That’s what we offer across Europe. Viva bullet has built its own infrastructure from end to end, so it relies on nor third parties, it’s doing everything by by itself, so it is able to provide European merchants services like eibon’s card acquiring and card issuing, based on its own infrastructure.

The unique thing about with a wallet is that it does that on upon European level, but it customizes the service at each and every country as it goes. There are new trends in financial industry. One of them is going lighter and cheaper with the card terminals. The other is to harness all this data about payments, and the other thing is to combine acquiring an issuing. There are not different services, you have to combine them.

You have to provide new things to the merchants. This is what we are doing.

Starting a business is not easy! Think about who will be working on your digital image. Hiring a good webmaster will help!
