If you guys have been following me on social media or you’ve, seen my past couple of articles about this, I will leave a link in the cards as we kind of go along. This was the first planner that I got in PR and I got to pick everything out which was fabulous, but then I went to go wild, oh by the way.
This is the colorful version of the hourly layout in the gold coil July through June. Okay, so that being said, I went to go wild, which was fabulous by the way and I was invited to an Erin Condren party and there was erin condren binders out, even in just like the general admission areas, and I got to looking at the binder and I was like oh, I need that too, and the color way for this I feel like is so pretty so it was torn.
So then, on launch day, I ordered this I’ll leave the article up in a cart. If you want to look at this a little bit more in detail, so I got this and I’m like. I love this too. What am I going to do so? I thought about it for awhile and I really thought about, like my planning style, like what I like and if you guys know anything about me. I am a very like neutral person in my normal daily life, but in my planner I feel like I’m a colorful person, so I decided on the colorful.
However, I didn’t decide on this one. I was a little sneaky and ordered something else. So I got this: this is the Navy binder. I wanted to see the Navy – and this is the gray binder, which I’ll show you in a second and the colorful our Lee is inside of here. So I think that this is. This is the one guys. This is the one, so let me show you what’s inside and how I set this up so hold on. Let me move this for just a second, so this planner and this planner are going to go to some friends.
I change the cover on this because I wanted to use the cover in my binder and I’ll explain why in just a moment, so this is going to be given to a friend and then this one here I started moving into this just be like completely honest And my contacts page in here is gone because I started playing with it and I’m like oh gosh. What’s in great so yeah, the contacts page has gone in here, but I will still give this a to a planner friend that I know will absolutely love it.
I want to talk about the binder for just a quick second, this really bothers me. I feel like you have to like hold everything for it to like properly closed. If that makes sense like it doesn’t I don’t know it closes, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like if you don’t kind of like push everything to the middle of the binder clip or whatever you want to call it. It just kind of hangs out hold up. Let me let me explain it a little bit more.
So if I didn’t help it, let’s move this. It would go like this. Do you see it? I’m saying like all that’s right there, okay anyway, so this needs a little like Oh needs a little help, and then this one’s good, alright. So that was the gray one which I think is beautiful as well, but I went with the Navy. I thought I wanted to see what the Navy look like and then, if I didn’t like the Navy, I could just swap the binders, but this is the Navy.
It’s gorgeous. You guys know that I don’t really like personalization, so I didn’t do that plus. I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep this. This also has whoops the gold hardware as well, which is like my favorite, and then I put these big erin condren pockets on either side of the binder. So I’m going to be keeping these in here. That’s for coffee, brick, planner and they are like little transparent, dots and I’ll.
Show you how I use those in just a moment, but I’m going to keep those are right there and then I have another one right here and you get a packet too, and the Erin Condren website will be linked below for you guys. This is one of bookmarks and I used this to cut washi mainly, and then I took my old cover off of my coil bound planner and put it in here, and the reason I did that is because of that issue I was just talking about so I Have the back cover in here as well, so I feel like when I’m ready to close this up.
I can just easily go like this and I feel like I’m not going to tear the pages if that makes sense like if there’s something like kind of hard behind it. So that’s how I am going to use that so anyway yeah. So this is what I’m going to use. I was actually talking to a co-worker of mine recently because they wanted me to bring in my planner, because some of them have decided to become Erin Condren fans as well, so she was like wow.
This is so colorful. I’m like yeah, I know she’s like I would have just never thought that you would be a really colorful person, and I said you know the only place that I’m colorful in my life is inside of my planner and that’s kind of like what threw me over The edge of like okay, I need a colorful planner, there’s just no way around it. This is very similar from last year. I track a few different things, and all of these stickers are from coffee, brick.

If I decide to track something else, I’ll put it up here with a key and then I have a bunch of different colors.
She has a ton of different colors in these little transparent dots. So anyway, this goes from july 2019 through a December 2020, and then here I’m not sure what I’m going to do last year. I ended up doing like home projects, but I’m not sure what I want to do this year, so we’re just going to like leave it for now and let it marinate you know and then July July is clearly not here. Yet I’m still in the end of May, when I’m filming this so for July, I really don’t have anything major going on.
I did decide to open up my little package of long sticky notes and put one on every single month. So if there’s like birthdays or special events that I need to remember or something like that, I have them, you know a little place to write them down. I did put in my garbage and then I do have a hair appointment on Wednesday. That day on the 24th so anyway, that is that that’s all I know what’s going on, but I absolutely love this.
I think this is so pretty. I kind of feel like with the neutral I’d kind of get sick of it. After a while, then, I feel like for me there’s more functionality in the colorful, even though I know some people are very anti. This, like color block here, but I don’t really mind it also something I decided to do, which I hope you can see on camera. It’s so hard cuz. This like viewfinder, is like teeny, tiny small.
Over here I decided to take some Christian designs, transparent stickers and put in like paydays into the current month that it shows down here. So this is July and then I have to get paid July 5th and July 19. So it’s just something to track and then also if I want to track something else or if I know if someone’s going on, I could do that as well. But I love this little thing down in the corner.
I love that change. I think that’s so nice and then I’ve got that little guy right there and then in to auto stand. Then again I did trash and stuff, but let’s go to the back and take a little gander at what’s in there, and then we have our notes pages. Oh something I should say I did not do. Is let’s see here. I put everything in here. However, not everything so I put everything in here through January.
Sorry, I’m kind of like all over the board today. So I put all my weeks up until January in here and then once February hits then I just put in the month and then, like you know, this is the back of the month and then I pushed it into the next month. So I have all of my other pieces of paper upstairs in my office, so when these months start to happen, can put them in here. I just didn’t want the binder to be totally full.
I wanted some extra room in here and not make it like. So bulky and I do have the room to store – you know the extra pages and whatnot. So that’s what I did for February through December of 2020. So but I do have you know my months out there, so I can always jot things down anyway. Now we’re into the notes section, and so we’ve got a few things that I actually did a little bit of planning before I filmed this article because I felt like if I did this on camera, it would be like hours long and I’m just like not all About that life anyway, and of course I did it at like mmm like 10:30 last night and there’s like no lighting at that point in my home, so anyway, I decided to do something really similar like I did last year, and I actually have it sitting right Off camera here, so this is my one from the previous year and then I put in like July through June, and these are just like tasks so like 2019, 2020 monthly tracking cute little house sticker there from coffee break planner.
And then I got these from Christian designs and then this washi is actually from Christian designs, but it’s available at Michael’s, only so very fun. So these are all the things that I want to achieve in the next year or so so I just want to like you know, have the task done so for me. Obviously yours is going to be a little bit different and if you have different categories like, let me know in the comments down below, maybe need to add some.
So anyway, I have a budget donations. I tend to donate something every single month or a bag of things clean out the fridge clean out the freezer clean out the pantry. That’s done sometimes weekly, but you know it’s something that I need to do at least once a month. My air filter. I don’t need to change it every single month, but it’s nice to see when I’m doing it. I think it’s about like every three months.
My color gun service is not every month, but it’s nice to see when the last time was checking smoke detectors. My bedding and blankets, organizing my files changing out my toothbrush head clean out the car, a car oil change, face, mask I’m trying to get better at that, like the whole self care thing, I don’t know it’s just like very difficult for me and I need to Just like make the time – I don’t know if you guys struggle with that too, and I’m like one to talk like I don’t have kids and I have a very like subdued life, but still it just sometimes it’s just difficult to make the time and then no Plastic bags: that’s like a big thing that I am going to try to start well, I’m actually already starting it, but I’m going to try to not use any plastic bags in the next year.
I have so many reusable bags. Those Erin Condren ones are just amazing and I love them, and I have so many of them in my car ready to go, and you know you pop into like CVS or Walgreens or the gas station or whatever, and I’m like. Why do I have this plastic bag? I should just always have a reusable bag in my bag. So that’s what I’ve been doing. It’s been working out really well and if I’m clearly like going to the grocery store I’ll put like five or six of them in my bag and if I don’t use them all great, but I would rather over pack then under pack, because they’re so lightweight anyways.
So I’m that’s like a goal of mine and I don’t know if it’s weird but that’s like something I want to do in the next year or so so anyway. Um there is my little dot grid pages and then I haven’t filled out my contacts yet because I didn’t want to be all creepy and stuff Here. I am going to put in all of my house stuff, so the name of the heating and air company. That I view is the name of the electrician.
I’ve been using my HOA contact, my mortgage company, like any like service related thing like culligan. They come over and do service in my home and, like anything house related I’d like to keep it in here, so I think that will be good and then oh over here I put in so this is January 20 January of 21 wow, that’s weird to say Through December of 21 – and I put in all of the pay days as well with those same stickers from Christian designs, those transparent circles – and then here are the sticker sheets, which I decided to put in the back here.
I might end up taking these out because a lot of times, if you guys have seen like any of my other planner articles a lot of times. I kind of forget that they’re back here and then I don’t end up using them. But if they’re in here, which is like my little Erin Condren sticker organizer, then I know that they’re here, so I might just end up putting these in here. Eventually, these are just all loose sticker sheets from Erin Condren that I love so anyway.
They’re in here for now, like I said I might, I might move them – I don’t know so yeah and then we’ve got these ones too. These are so nice very underrated, but very nice, and then I have my back cover to the coil planner, which I love that too, and then here there is that big pocket again, so you can slip something in there. I was actually going to use this. I decided I was going to put this hold on and here’s stop talking so these little flaps kind of replaced this and I already bought it, but I think I’m going to give that to someone that is going to take one of those planners.
What I did last you, which I absolutely loved, is when I was tracking this for like my cycle and stuff, I put this in here and had this little flap here and had this inside and it worked out great, but the more I thought about it. I was like you know I kind of like more streamlined like that. So anyway, this is going to go to the friend, so this kind of replaced that, but I mean everyone, just kind of needs to do what works for them.
So anyways that’s going to be it for me today. I just wanted to share with you guys what I am planning on using for the 2019 2020 year in my Erin Condren hourly. Please please. So if you don’t know what it is, google keyword planner is basically a free tool that is used to help make informed decisions about keywords. A keyword is basically anything you can type into a search box. People will call it long tail keywords and keyword, phrases and there’s a bit of semantics that go into there, but if you’re, just starting out, that’s not something that you need to worry about getting back to keyword, planner.
It was a tool that was built out by Google for advertisers, so it would be easier for them to go ahead and create campaigns on google adwords, basically letting them know information about who’s. Looking for what, at whatever time and how much money, it’s going to cost you to get that click, so you will be able to find information relevant to your audience without wasting your time and money. So if you’re, just starting out, you don’t really need to go ahead and spend hundreds of dollars every month buying new tools.
You just try this out see if you have all the information you need and once you’ve narrowed down your results, your research into a specific section, and only then will you really need to worry about more and more complex and intricate tools. So, to start off, we need to figure out what keyword research is, and why do you need it and who needs it? So if you don’t know keyword, research is basically research on keywords.
That’s pretty self-explanatory, figuring out what people are looking for, figuring out, whether your business aligns with them whether these are the right type of people being able to rank on those ads and, finally, to increase your sales and revenue. We’re basically going to be going over three things in these tutorials, using keywords for SEO, using keyword, planner to drive better results on your PPC campaigns.
That’s pay-per-click and finally, the nitty-gritty of keyword. Research will basically go ahead and look for a keyword that we use in our own agency, so you have a real life working example like we were saying, keyword planner can be used by two people. One are business owners that are trying to create campaigns and finding keywords to convert on it’s pretty much the same process. The only difference is if you’re, a business owner of your goal is to look for a very low small, complete, very low competitive keywords, so that you can spend as little money as you can and ranked number one in that specific search term.
So you can get more visitors that are looking for the ideal target, but if you’re into content, it’s a bit different because you want to rank for that highest hardest, most the keywords behind with the most money. So, if you’re into content – and if you have your own niche blog, if you’re writing about gardening in San Francisco or something it’s a bit different, because you want to rank for the highest competitive keywords.
So if your goal is to make money on your blog with google adsense or something, then you want to make sure that you’re trying to back keywords that have a lot of money behind them. So you don’t want to be the number one blog of a very obscure category with no money behind it. One thing that we found recently when we were doing some research for software is that open source key programs like open source CRMs, an open source.
Anything has very little competition because, to be honest, there is no money to be made in that people that are looking for open source software are generally not the guys that are looking to pay money. So that’s a really cool thing: if your model is generating revenue through google adsense, that’s not the niche you want to be in. So that’s one side of the spectrum. The other side of the spectrum are business owners.
Whether you want to try to create content on your own blog and rank for a specific keyword or you want to figure out which keywords have actual value and which you can afford to get a click for. Because if you want to find something like diet or weight loss, it’s going to be ridiculously competitive for you, so you can’t really sell products on that through google adwords. Well, you could but you’re not really going to make a profit unless you have insane conversion rates, because you’ll be looking at spending tens and twenty dollars per click and above so, what you’re trying to do is look for a decent keyword, which you think we’ll have Good results now, of course, this doesn’t justify everything, there’s still a ton of a/b testing that you need to do with words with URLs with designs and that’s a different topic for another day.
If you don’t have an account already go ahead and create one by going to edwards, google com – and you can just sign in with your google account if you want to the signup process, is very basic. If you’ve built a gmail account, you know how to do this, so once you create your google account, you will be locked into the dashboard of Adwords and it’ll. Show you what you’ve been doing. So if you haven’t done anything right now, it’s just going to be an empty dashboard, but on the navigation bar you’ll, see an option called tools inside tools once you click on the Tools, menu you’ll have a bunch of submenu items, go ahead and click keyword planner Inside that, and now we’re actually ready to begin so once you’re, there you’ll see four different tools in two different categories.
The first category is find new keywords and get search volume, data and the second category is for budgets and forecasts, so we’ll only be looking at the first one, really because unless you’re a very advanced user and are currently spending a lot of money on AdWords, that’s Really not something you’ll be looking into inside that you have three options: search for new keywords, using a phrase website or category second option is get search, volume, data and trends and finally, multiply keyword list to get new keywords.
The first option, the first tool so we’ll just call the tool. The first tool is perfect if you are in the lookout for ideas. Well, if you list your product or your seed keyword, your first thing it’ll basically create a bunch of derivatives of that keyword. It’ll use various amounts of data from your product, your service, and if you input your website, it will go through your landing page and it will see what you’re trying to sell the more information you give this.
Basically, the better results it’s going to give for you. So Serge viral is a digital marketing agency right. The main product that we actually sell is social media management. Let’s go ahead and use this to get some actual results on a campaign that we can use to get more businesses to pay us to manage their social media. What we’re going to do is go ahead and type social media agency, or you could say social media management.
Let’s just go ahead and do that because that is the product, not the type of business and we’ll go ahead and put Serge viral calm locations. So initially we are currently actually looking for a campaign we’re doing a bunch of ads to advertise to people in the UK, so I’m going to go ahead and have United Kingdoms United Kingdom’s as my country. So if you are in the UK, you would know that Google AdWords is expensive and that’s not really a bad thing.
As long as the market makes sense, you wouldn’t really have a problem. There is a bunch of stuff that you want to do this. The first thing is the product key words: these are what your product is, you can add more than one you can add like a bunch of stuff so like, if you have a I mean we could technically add like social media SEO, digital marketing and all of That to get results customized directly to your business, but we’re doing this on a very micro level, because we want to only sell this one product because we have capacity to handle a lot of that.
And that would be perfect for us right now because, unlike SEO, Google Keyword planner is about giving you instant results. You don’t want a plan for like two years ahead, because these things change and you will have to keep on updating these stuff. So I’m ready to sell social media management right. We have your landing page and we’ll click United Kingdom English. We can check check google and google + Partners.
I ideally search for Google because I don’t need that information right now, so negative keywords it. This is a very interesting a lot of people completely disregard that, and that’s a really bad thing to do so. What a negative keyword is is that it removes a specific. It removes a specific type of people so, for example, if you’re selling in a item that you know that someone, if it’s a very confusing item right, for example, if it’s social media management – and we can put tools as a negative keyword, because we don’t want people That are looking for social media tools.
We want people that are looking for social media agencies and it can be very confusing. So if someone is looking for social media management tool, we’re not their customer, we want people looking for social media as a service. So do we have that you can change the date range? How, since when have they taken it? What we generally do is we take it from July, and we just take it, as you know, as far back as possible, just because we could get a better understanding of that information.
We can have keyword filters based on the amount of searchers, so whether people are looking for only a hundred times or you want to avoid people under a specific amount of searches, and you can decide how the competition you want it to be. Of course, a initially. If this is your first time, I think you should avoid this, but yes, you have this information. You only show ideas that are closely related.
So what I? What we basically do is the first time we just go completely ham and then worry about this later. You can always refine and you will have to refine, but don’t worry about that right now, so we have the search traffic data, so we know that yes, it’s gone up slightly on average. Now, for that specific keyword that we’re looking for social media management – that’s pretty brutal, it has two thousand six hundred searches average per month, which is great.
The competition is medium, but the suggested bid is insane. So if I’m getting a click, they expect me to put twenty dollars well, seventeen dollars and that just doesn’t make sense right. So we need to figure out. I mean we can do a bunch of things. We can try to figure out if there’s something cheaper. Like look at this digital agency SEO, there’s 10 people looking for it and the suggested bid is madness, so we can do a bunch of things right now that we have that information.
We can. We know the trends of data you can see if people, what type of people look for this mobile has grown up. I think that I mean mobile. Tate has gone up. That’s probably just more people using mobile devices, then actually that specific search term going up. So we have this information and how exactly is it? Do we find something that we think makes sense right like social media, for dummies, this isn’t someone.
So what you need to do is go through these keywords, one by one really and go through these ad group ideas right. So ad group ideas are basically bulk keywords that, for example, if you click digital agency, it breaks down into little little keywords in that. For you to see, if there’s actually any viability, so it suggested bit if you have keywords without suggested bids. That generally means that not a lot of people are advertising on.
It could also mean that there’s very few people so that it doesn’t really show stats. So, for example, let me just check this out. You can open, add it in ad preview to see if, okay, let’s preview, this in the United Kingdom and we will see ya. So there is a ton of advertising on this particular keyword, and we really don’t want to hit that, even though it says like, even though it’s a dash it just basically doesn’t have enough data because there’s only probably like one or two searches.
So if they say ten, it’s generally between 0 to 10, so we’ve done I mean before I did this article. We went through like a bunch of keyword, ideas to find exactly what we wanted and what we’d really figured out was. You need to understand how a customer your specific customer would think right. So you would need to understand how your specific customer would think and what we did was we found out that we can go ahead and I mean a lot of agencies.
Don’t really have their pricing publicly visible. There was a ton of people that were just looking for social media management price. Even though social media management price was ridiculously expensive at ten dollars. We managed to find that there’s a good bunch of people that are searching for social medium packages. You can see that the trend is generally going up. There is about 140 people, yes, that’s not a ton of people, but you don’t need to find keywords with millions and thousands of people searching for.
Actually it’s better. If it’s a small group of people that you think are going to be your perfect audience right, we can see that is medium competition, but the suggested bid is low. There are people advertising on it, but it’s something that you can test out because for for our product in particular, you’re looking at spending 300 plus dollars per month for us to manage that. So if we get a click at three dollars and then if we convert our sale at around 20 clicks or even if we convert our sale at a hundred klicks, we still come out ahead in that campaign.
What you really need to do is understand how a keyword plays into the role of traffic to conversion to lead at finally closing that sale, but you also need to understand price is very subjective. If someone is selling a five dollar item, this doesn’t even make remote sense right. But if you are someone who is selling a large ticket item like us, then this is completely fine, because three dollars is simply a drop in the proverbial bucket.
If you’re going to find someone who is very interested in seeing the price of the product that he or she is about to purchase, so what we would generally do is find something like this, maybe even social media, marketing packages or social media services pricing, even though That is actually a bit competitive, so if we go ahead and look at the preview on how badly this is clustered, let’s just put code out UK as well, you can actually see our ad because we’re the first rank their social media marketing pricing.

You don’t need this anymore campaigns ad sets and then ads campaigns is basically what your objective is that what you want achieved you want to achieve more engagement, you wan na achieve more article views. You want to achieve traffic to a certain website or any of those type of things. There’s all these different ways how you can use different campaigns ad sets is literally the audience so, where they’re, from the interests, their age and also that includes the budget.
How much you wan na spend and also includes I’m the placement, so it’s on Facebook feed is on instagram. Feed is an interim story. There are some things in AD itself, pretty self-explanatory. What the audience actually sees. So first, we want to do. Let’s just assume that you have nothing here, so there’s no I’d say whatsoever. You want a quick click. What actual object is you wan na do imma keep this very, very traumatic. If you did not that long as you guys can crack on as quick as possible, but for artists for me anything to do music, you know stuff, I would say huge traffic engagement. Article views maybe lead generations. It depends on that to campaign, but everything else. I’ve. Never personally use for music artists. I wouldn’t this is a bit too broad brand awareness and reach, but you want to be a bit more specific recording that you actually want people to do, because Facebook has a whole lot of day and how people behave on their platform.
So on this actual campaign, I wan na use engagement, use engagement because it’s one of the cheapest objectives and also you get two for two for both, let’s say yeah teen, for once. Let’s say I am. I want, from a music article, provide the article views then Montori the people that will see it. People that overtly read articles on Facebook, engagement, the fact that they reading it and further they’re commenting and liking.

If I forget so, whatever reason turn it off and I leave on the daily Facebook isn’t going to tell me that hey your ad still on by the way so during lifetime budget is a very, very easy way to introduce yourself to just understanding how you should Budget your ads in the future, because, obviously it doesn’t matter if you’re, if you have a lot of money or if you don’t have a lot of money, you kind of s as much.
You do have a lot to invest in. You want to see how much certain amount of money it’s going to take you we’re going to do an ads, so, let’s just say, for example, clients use 200. So you later, when I want something retargeting, I had some people that actually have engaged and about you paid attention to content or pay the things to a certain page on on the website. Then I can be talking them later on people hey and they’re not going to be. This is why sometimes you might be on a website. Let’s say something I was on Airbnb couple days ago, just looking around and then that’s, where being beat add a baby definitely uses facing pixels, because this little thing kid I have on my Google Chrome, it’s called a Facebook pixel helper.
You can download it from Google Chrome store where you literally any website go on. It tells me they have a pixel, not sound. Already cool I’ve got me under there. They are so regarding back to the actual tutorial. This is something that’s a bit more advanced because basic pixel ties into custom audiences that ties into look-alike audiences and that’s a whole nother realm, but this whole article that we’ve just sat in and all she works.
This is probably the easiest way that you guys can actually gain traction and getting real viewers, real engagement, real people that actually like your music to actually read music. Apart from that, I don’t think, there’s nothing else. Oh yeah! What you want to do. It is your voice in here, because a article here today, Rena is really cool. I guess you would say illustrator mainly, but there’s a little bit of Photoshop in here to UM story today, so I guys how to make it your own, really cool. I like urban brushstrokes, sort of logo designs and my inspiration for this would be the 100. These logo – I don’t know why I’m so obsessed that logo um, but like it’s really cool right.
So here’s just so you guys can get a look of it right. So my inspiration was sort of having like really cool brushstrokes. You know accents to your lines and whatnot, so in Mexico, like it’s very like abstract, I kind of herb and kind of really just cool with, like it’s just like written out and like a really cool script. Like way, I had a client who previously approached me with this logo, and I was just like hey: is there a way we can resemble this in a certain way and I’m just like, I actually don’t know entirely how to do it, but we figured it out In the long run, and not in something I didn’t know how to do, it was just how having it perform.
It be a little bit faster and quicker, rather than just really being really minuscule, with the the way that a brushstroke would actually act rather than actually, you know kind of like doing it by hand, and you know you won’t really get that aesthetic feeling that you Know it does what you can. You have to be like a brush font and whatnot. So that’s where this comes in handy right, so we have uh.
This is our little example here I just made a C logo really quickly. Just like you know kind of script. It out, as you guys saw on the Photoshop and whatnot good ol C logo. I guess I put a little two dashes on it and we’re going to call it claw right, cuz, like a little scratch, um yeah. As you can see, this, has this really cool little feel to it and just like it just gives it a little more character to it, and I think it’s really cool for if anyone wants to you know have that you know I guess ability to go ahead And perform or like a really cool brush stroke logo.
It’s really something to have in your arsenal right and I’ll, keep in mind as well that I’m using only one fun of like literally millions of different brush fonts. You can use to help illustrate this concept. So keep that in mind as well, and I’m going to start off inside Photoshop, for you guys we’re going to move into there something quickly, just really quick, little rundowns um. That way, we kind of get that whole thing started and just running into illustrators.
Really it’s a really tedious process, but it’s so much quicker, rather than kind of like really just trying to like make your mind. Think abstract. I also trying to make a certain thing. It’s really difficult trust me and I’m going to make it seem easy for you guys, so let’s go ahead and just jump into Photoshop and let’s get this thing going. Okay, so as for my quick rundown inside Photoshop, I do have my tablet in hand by the way it’s like the the $ 70 sort of Best Buy tablet.
You guys would get it’s just. What is I forgot, what it’s called, but it so calm like in into well. How do you say hi, you guys know what I’m talking about. However right, so let me go ahead. Just show you guys really quickly how I would go about it now. I have this really cool brush. I literally cannot remember when I found this brush, because I remember it took me literally an hour to find a brush.
That kind of like, like my mindset, had it, and I had something in my mind right and it took me forever to find it starts with PAP underscore zero. I will give you guys this one I’ll make sure I reference it I’ll try to find out. I hope there’s like a direct dialing. I can like see in the dye your brush um file, but yeah. This is a brush that I use and this brush here, but you don’t really need a tablet.
However, you know just having lunch is a little more handy for you, I mean you can still kind of illustrate like this. Is me doing the see again, you know you can still kind of illustrate the same thing. If you just have like a nice state of your hand, I would say right for your um with your mouse and whatnot, so you don’t really need a tablet. You can still create some very, very cool. You know, abstract, you know, kind of fun.
Looking brush sort of you know, logos and whatnot, which is kind of like free handing it if you guys wish to, but I did do it using the actual brush that it’s located right here now. Leave that and switch for you guys to use and all that good stuff and now, like yeah, I’m just using my tablet now and you kind of just see it gets a little more smoother, it’s a little more fun you can kind of, like you know, really Work, your angles work you’re, pretty much everything when it comes to like kind of having that, like literal freedom of of that, that actual hand motion right rather than trying to do it with a mouse.
So if there’s an investment you want to have, I would think you know a tablet is definitely it there’s no way. Oh you know, you don’t know you meat, and so you don’t have a kind of thing right. So yeah, that’s pretty much like really all. I really want to go ahead and illustrate for you guys, but I already have this claw thing where I’m going to use the same exact one as before. So not the oyster, okay start time kind of make something else up on, because it’s literally just I just kind of made it up right.
So I want to go ahead and just kind of say once you kind of finish drawing it we’re just do an A and like a bee, trying to look cool right. Let’s just do a bee. This is a Navy logo. So I was like hey. I want a Navy logo and I want to uh seize now what you go ahead and just kind of make this look like a brush like thing and then, for example, 100. These also 100, these logo – or this like claw, a little logo here right.
So the way I would go about this is by the way, if you have multiple layers, if you need, because if you want to do like some little accents like I’m about to try to do for a second like just little little accent marks right here and Here and there and whatnot kind of having like little things, if you guys want to you, know, have fun with and whatnot, but if you do have multiple layers, just merge them all together right, because we’re going to be doing is I’m going to take my claw.
I’m going to press ctrl, J and then ctrl e ctrl J is going to actually duplicate the entire group for us and then ctrl he’s going to merge it all together and then all you would have to do is actually just take this claw copy, throw it Right in the illustrator, as a matter of fact, we’ll turn off this little white background, because we have a black brush I’ll turn that off the claw example as well, and let’s go ahead.
Hmm actually, is it inside this yeah. The image is inside the example. So let’s drag that out here: it’s locked, okay, relax, let’s open it and drag it in there! There we go now! So if I were to go ahead and take this and we’re going to make this a little bit bigger right cool, what you can do is image trace it. This is uh. This is one of those things that I kind of don’t do very often, but when it comes to like these kind of logos, it would help out quite a bit right if you kind of have a a quick vector of it and also kind of keep that Brush like feel to it, I’m so I’m going to just click on this image here we’re going to go to object, image trace, make it expand and immediately it just takes our is there’s a table with this right.
I forgot how to open the table. There’s a table if you have a certain color, my voice is like going for some reason. If you have a certain color that you want to kind of pick out, there is a way to, of course, like how do you say: uh different de fishery de fishery. There Fisher different de fishery if defit differences differentiate. Oh that must be it differentiate. That’s a hard word: okay, let’s go ahead, and just like okay, whatever anyway, there’s a way to uh, help yourself and pick the right color for it until then right.
This is a very, very simple it of course, kind of quickly leave that same little. Maybe if you had like a certain brush kind of, I guess, like you know, wiggle and whatnot, our brush kind of accent or whatever, like you, may have a nice little flow to it doing. This would be just very simple, very easy for you and as well just so you know, there’s a white back, I’m so behind this right, so we got to get rid of that as well.
Okay, so now that we have this part done, this is pretty much like that cool part. This actually looks pretty cool so like I’m not going to lie like that, does look pretty badass and if you kind of like look over here at the hundred things logo, if we just zoom in a little bit, you can kind of see the resemblance of the Matter of fact that they probably did use image, trace and whatnot all right, I’m not going to call out or whatever it’s just I’m just literally kind of like referencing as what I kind of see if they might have using a trace.
So I feel like going to be a good idea as well to use it as well so right. So we can’t have this looking right here right, but you’re going to say to yourself. I kind of want it to look a little bit more cooler a little bit more aesthetic error, I’m going to need some kind of really cool font. Now, of course, I told you guys in the brush pack brush the font pack we’re going to be using this beautiful font called cog font right.
It’s up here now. The reason why I chose this font cuz. I personally wanted this font and I one other client – and I was like hey – is this a nice little cuz we’re looking at the ends of the farmer, I’m looking at currently the ends of the font. You know some of the side marks here and it was like yeah. That’s perfect, that’s exactly what I’m kinda looking for. So me thinking. This would be incredibly difficult to try to illustrate and get perfectly right.
You know and make it look as abstracted and as still as clean as possible. It’s like a brush wood. That blew my mind. I was like there’s no entire way. That would be able to illustrate this. The way it should be right so using a font is not a bad deal. So, of course, if I were, if I were you if I would check up. Finally, I wasn’t haven’t already guys didn’t download in my brush pack, I’m kissing brush pack, my font pack.
However, if you guys wants you of course, going to find a common type in like brushes like brush fonts and water, you get some really cool ones as well. This is just one that apply. You know kind of applied to me and I really like this one. As well so if I were to go look at my if I were to go ahead – and I look at my logo here and I’m going to say, there’s a couple curves here that maybe if I put in a C I’ll, get something like right here, where I can kind of have that part on this right left hand side here kind of curve here, but maybe that’s not enough.
Maybe a J would work here for this little hook right. Here’s what I would say right and I were to, of course, already kind of went through and kind of know the letters that I want to go for. But you can just kind of like envision a certain amount of letters that kind of have a curve which are be looking forward. I have that applied naturally right. So, of course, an e here right to kind of have that so I’ll have these little marks here, but, except for have the same exact little uh.
How would you say, like the exact same Emaar going on over here, because how you see how C has a little bit different mark here? You see how J has a little bit of different mark here. Let’s go ahead and just type in like I forgot what I did actually, but let’s go ahead and see X. Maybe X has a different like little part. There. Maybe M does right you’ll just kind of kind of go through and let me say, L the same one as well.
You, okay, so you it seems like it has a lot more longer jokes here, but it’s definitely different than the e in the. U here right. So this is where, of course, having multiple fonts or multiple different items, and hopefully I mean. Hopefully you have multiple letters in the font itself, but you know just kind of having that be a game plan right, so go ahead and start off with the e first or Chester all for the e we’re going to make this fairly big for now right and If you guys did not know already, I was going to take it that so I can just have that always on hand and pretty much.

If you guys it, I’m already going to take a font into an actual object by just going to object, expand just like so make sure the expand object is on and the expand fill is on you, press, okay, and, as you guys didn’t see, you guys will Have now a vectorized version of the font itself, so you see some of these little floaty pieces here, I’m going to delete these for now. I don’t want to have too many floaty pieces to kind of like manage and handle right some of these little smaller ones.
Probably like not realistic to have inside your your-your-your, alright cuz, it’s not going to be able to be seen to well. Alright! So just take some of these things out, but uh just say right there, it’s pretty good! Now I’m going to go ahead and take my pen tool and I’m going to say I’m going to. We want this right-hand side of the e right, so I’m go ahead and take my pen tool kind of just kind of just make it like a little slash going down right.
This separation here is very, very common. It’s just kind of like you know hey. This indicates when I go ahead and highlight if I press a – and I highlight these two things that indicate so there’s two different shapes going on here now, because we have a slash going through with the pencil mark that we just created. So if I were to go to Windows and go ahead and go to path, finder you’ll see if I go ahead, not path, finder you’re, going to need all that stuff in a second.
But I don’t know why. I said that, but just that’s also thing you want to have, but it’s Shave shape builder tool, which is shift a manner keyboard which is located right. Here is the way to kind of help. Your illustrator, you know, cut things out that are separated right or you want to separate or, or you want to, you know, take out or apply a different object to whatever you guys understand right.
This is a plus button right here and, if you’ll hold also there’s a minus one, if I were to click, it would actually delete it. If I hold nothing – and I just click just like I’m going through right now in this right-hand side – it’ll go ahead and separate the shapes for us and there we have this right. So I want to kind of say I’ll leave all this extra extra stuff and, let’s take everything, that’s pretty much what I would probably want right, which is really all just the stuff that’s connected, that’s already vectorized and all that good stuff.
Um I’m going to go ahead now, and this is where the tricky part comes in right, so the the whole keeping and natural things going to be really hard. That’s like all right, I guess keeping the right, fonts and mine would help you know kind of lining up certain like lines were here, so it kind of like flows better. But then you have all this empty space here. Somehow that just say hey, let’s just say if we hold ctrl and then you naturally your hold shift right and like make it bigger and smaller.
But this time I’m going to kind of flirt with it around and kind of make it bigger and smaller on our own see what happens if you put it over here Ryan, I’m going to highlight this entire thing, I’m going to say we can actually cut out With a shape builder tool right, holding alt cut out some of these spots here and if you say like it’s really, you can see how this is really big. Like a bulge of you know black going on here and you want to say hey, I doesn’t really look that brush mark that we want to have highlight all again.
You can take it hold alt get inside here, delete some of the stuff that you think needs to be deleted. If you want to have a little more extra here, you want to have it flow into here. You want to have it flow into there. You just want to have certain little things float just like, so I’m like a like a paintbrush would right. You would have like certain spots it to get painted over, but then you can get something like this right and this looks way more natural weight just way.
Fun, I guess you would say uh how you say way fun all right, let’s use English, but you know just more natural and a very appealing, you know urban kind of look to an account looks really really nice right. So that’s like the one part of the e and we just kind of like expand a little bit just holding ctrl and just kind of figuring things out, and I would just do it one more time. But this is pretty much the rinse and repeat process that you guys would go with I’m going to delete this one.
We’re going to take this we’re going to tape in, let’s just say, geez, pretty cool asses black. Hmm, I think we’re just going to go with like a little bit of a C and say cut this out and kind of have that be on the the the see that we have so okay, we’re going to take a seat object, expand it cuz. I forgot to let that was going for it, but whatever we’re going to take the pen tool, split that in half, just like so again highlight it like before shift em on our keyboard for the shape ability which is located right here once again, click on it Take it out we’re going to leave all the extra flingy foggy stuff cuz, that’s not probably really illustrating, and it really just see that very well in a logo anyway.
So we’re going to take this now, I’m going to just go ahead and flip it vertically. No yes, okay, I go and see if I can, like kind of have it just a little extra some something going on at this little curve here. Alright, we’re trying to make it look a little fun kind of have expanded up a little bit more. Okay. Let’s see if we want to maybe do a little more as well alright, so I got something like this just going to overlap it, I’m going to go ahead and highlight it again with the a tool which is basically what does a tool called again.
The selection tool right, deluxe, yeah direct session tool and I’m going to press shift M, take the shape builder tool, and I just cut in some of these spots on – will delete this, and we wouldn’t want that. Maybe we want to have something like fun going on. Like they like in here, a little something going on here and here that looked pretty cool for like a seat, got rid of a lot of things. Oh jeez, that’s alright! Alright! That was my phone by the way.
Um, let’s see maybe like making you a little bit more skinnier kind of getting in here, but this is like a literal, the tedious part right. If I kind of wish I had it a little more, you know, in my mind, said I was going to go for, but this is actually not bad at all this little hard curve. He will just curve it in with the the good old. I don’t know what this tool would be called officially but, like the curve angle tool, sure we’re going to call it that or you can just like delete some points here and see if we can get.
You know a nice, something that looks disgusting. Ah yeah we’re going to go into here again take the minus tool or if I were to press minus on the keyboard and then we get so I’m a little bit better going on here. So a little bit better. You can get in here again kind of delete this kind of stuff here, let’s make more natural marks right, take this again and maybe we’ll make this little curve a little bit better.
Well, yeah, it’s a little bit too tedious from to do at the moment, but as you can see, that see looks pretty cool now, like a little backsplash curve. That’s going in here the little brush mark and you can just keep on going. You know you can keep on going out like right here would be a want to apply to up here. Art apply to as well times to stick a brush in kinda circle. Yeah like up here, I’d apply to over here.
You do some really cool things over here as well and like you, of course, probably do the same thing with the e over there, and if you want to you, see how, like the back of some of these letters, have these really fun little uh sort of Like vivid kind of patterns going on, you can definitely just apply that kind of stuff over on the you know the size of the logos, if you guys wanted to do that as well with the hairs for my example, as you can see it once again, right And it’s just really fun really cool.
It’s a really attractive way to go ahead and just go approach. Your logos and stuff like that, if you were it’s, just really cool, to have in the back of your play, if you you had a client II was just like, we can ask them that looks like this and you just not entirely sure how to do it Without you know, putting an excessive amount of time in it or just getting the exactly they might have had if they showed you a font and you’d be like hey, I could actually make a custom letter and then apply the font that he gave me and kind Of give you know that you know abstract sort of brushed, look to it and kill the game.

But how is direct response? Marketing different than that Good question, So direct response marketing is different because direct marketing You’re, just talking directly to the client like an e-mail But direct response, marketing you’re doing something to elicit a specific response from Your potential client, So what are some examples of this Say? For instance, you have a article that you put on Instagram and you’re, telling people about what you’re offering a service a product, and you tell them.
I want you to call now. Yeah They have to take a specific response in order to take part of it. Gotcha So when handled the correct Way it can be very beneficial and bring about some interesting results For one it takes out. All the intermediaries, It’s just between you and your customer – You don’t have to have the middle man. Second, it’s pretty cost effective. You don’t have to have Mass market saturation with traditional marketing methods And then the third, it’s also Measurable and trackable: Okay, You can see your ROI and then also it adheres.
To some good old-school marketing methods – and it doesn’t go with some of these trends that are flighty Gotcha so would an example, be I do an Instagram post Specifically, for let’s say a new backpack that I just came out with and then I have a link and They go and they buy that Exactly so in crafting your Direct response, marketing there’s a couple elements: That you want to have, For instance, the proposal Rather than thinking hey buy my product.
You actually want to go into some details, Especially like trial Period what the person is going to sign up for answering a lot of the questions that a person may have Gotcha so part of this proposal? Is you want to create some urgency? You want to give them all the information and kind of lead them down the funnel. Why is this important What are the details and, at the very end, maybe This is a trial period.
I see this a lot with webinars or different online courses. You know it’s a limited time offer within the next three days. This is introductory price and the price goes up right, so you’re always kind of leading Them down that funnel and giving that sense of Wow this is important. This is what I need and I can’t wait. I need to buy this now. You want that response. You want to make that person feel like they can’t miss out.

No, but that makes sense I mean people buy with their eyes right Absolutely so leveraging The power of images with your content is crucial And that’s why, if you want to really make your business stand out and be noticed, you have to leverage the power Of images with your content, So there’s a lot that goes into it and I’m not going to do. Take you through your own website and show you at home a quick demo of how to optimize your Images for web and SEO Perfect: Let’s do it Cool compromise All right Alex. So, let’s Check out some of the images on your website, so where do You go and upload your images, So I normally go to where it says: media [, Nealey, ], Okay. So let’s Check out some of the content that you’ve uploaded All right, so all burgers, I dig it [ Alex ], Nothing wrong with that.
So let’s check out one of these images Cool, so I’m noticing some good things and noticing some not so good things. Let’s dive into this little bit: Okay, Alright! So we’ll start with a good Start with the positive right. So I do see here you have Some of what’s called “ Alternative Text.” Now, when Google or other Search engines crawl, your site, it can’t actually see This delicious burger, All it sees is that it says “ image”.
It doesn’t know what to do with that. That’s where that Alternative text comes in so this one, you put awesome Burgers, which is good, it’s descriptive, shows Exactly what it is, But I don’t see you have it On any of your other images, So you definitely want to Write some type of description of what that is, that way, it Gets indexed by search engines because, like we said before, it is the second most Popular way to search Okay, so every image gets Its own alternative text Yeah, and you really Want to describe it too, The more descriptive the better.
This also helps for Visually impaired people that are on your site, That have screen readers So if they’re on your site, It’ll have delicious burger it’ll. Have this or it’ll have that versus just going and saying Image is not very helpful. You got to keep the site successful to Moving on to title Your titles aren’t bad I’ve seen worse. I’ve seen The ones that are like screenshot dash this date dash blah again, that’s not really helpful.
You want to be as descriptive as possible. [ Alex ], Okay, [ Nealey ], So this one says Beef dash blur dash bread and then some numbers. How do I make it better? So we can probably just Get rid of the numbers Again, it has to be Descriptive of what the image is all about, so beef dash blur Dash bread that one’s fine You want to have those dashes in there,’cause that’s! What’s going to Show up in the address bar [ Alex ], Okay, It’s also something that Google kind of takes a look at as well, And then WordPress saves in real time.
So as soon as I clicked Off of that, it saves So you kind of have the same trend here. Blur dash buns dash burger those numbers just get rid of the numbers All right. The next thing, You really want to look at are the captions of the image themselves. The captions are one of the Most read parts of a website so having something there again, As descriptive as possible, Now, if you got this image elsewhere, usually caption has the source Of where you got that image, These are your photos and Since you’re Alex eats food, so it’s yours there and Then description same thing As descriptive as possible: The more descriptive, the more keywords you can Add to your website’s images, the better you are going! To be in search engines, [ Alex ].
So what would be a Good example for a caption here, literally just really describe it Juicy delicious burger. I can’t type today I really can’t type today With tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, And Dijon mustard sure, So it’s a pretty solid caption and I really cannot type today, Let’s add burger in there too, Oh yeah, maybe I guess Burger there. We go Nope, not there. Let’s put it right here, I’m struggling today, I’m just hungry.
It’s about that time. [ Alex ], ( laughs, ), A mustard burger Juicy, delicious mustard, all right All right now with this, it’s not really optimizing it for SEO. But it is optimizing it for your website itself. Now what you don’t want, To do is have an image: that’s like 5000, with by 5000 height, It’s way too large. My screen, Is definitely not that big? You want to keep them condensed If they are pretty big.
You Can resize them on a computer and re upload them? You can actually resize Directly in WordPress, by going to edit image, And then right over here, there’s new dimension. You Can literally just type say I want this to be 800 width, it will automatically Constrain it down to by 533 Click scale and then It’ll shrink my image, so it’s not as large. You also use the plugin WP Smush, smush And it’ll.
Basically do What exactly what that is it’s going to smush your Images so they’re not as large, because also the faster Your website is the better search results. You’ll come up with whether it’s text based search results or image, search results, Good to know perfect. Well, thanks, so much Nealey. This is literally my second part filming this I mean a tik-tok article, we’re talking about YouTube and then we’re going to do Instagram so yeah, I’m literally making this article by the way in my head. So I hope I can say something valuable and hopefully it all sounds too stupid. So the first thing I’ve noticed about YouTube is even if you have tik-tok Instagram, I feel like YouTube is still that platform.
That’s like the most respected like, yes, you get have followers, but if you have subscribers, you immediately become like an idol and aquion. You are a legend. I feel like there’s more merit in YouTube, but you could just be someone posting articles on Tik Tok, but if you’re a youtuber, you have a lot more tangible merit and I feel like that should speak for itself. Maybe there’s something about YouTube that we don’t really know and as the algorithms changing and we have to keep up as marketers or creators.
This article isn’t explained what you need to know to simplify the YouTube algorithm. Let’s get started with the first thing you got, ta know, which is click-through rate. I have a little pun for you guys before we dive in dad. If you were a landing page, I’d give you a high click-through rate, get it well, that’s, essentially the higher to click-through rate, the more ideal and enticing you are to a viewer.
So your goal as a creator is to make sure that your thumbnails are eye-catching. I am Telling You so many people don’t understand the value of a thumbnail when you’re scrolling on YouTube training pages or you’re at the home you’re, going to see a title and a thumbnail before you even read the article you’re going to click on the thumbnail first. So, that’s why it’s super super important to have a very eye-catching thumbnail.
Now. Listen here right, maybe you’re, like hey Jade. I still don’t know how the algorithm works like. How does it like know what to push well Sally? It’s going to be okay. Listen here so say your article has to do with something about hair tutorial YouTube’s, going to share this article and push it on people’s home pages and feeds to see if people are interested in hair articles now, what’s super important is YouTube’s going to push it to 100 or 200 people right, but in order for YouTube to keep suggesting it to thousands and millions of people, you have to have a really good click-through rate right.
Cuz of YouTube sees that your click-through rate is like really low they’re, not going to keep pushing it. You haven’t proved to them that in the first 100 people say 50 people click on it right. So that’s why it’s super important to have really beautiful thumbnails, which I’ll go into in a little bit, but that’s the importance of the click-through rate. Now, if you’re asking what’s a healthy CTR, we just click the rate, I would say it’s around 15 to 20 percent.
Now I’ll be honest, it’s actually really freaking difficult. Most of my articles on my blog have around like a 5 percent click-through rate. It’s not easy. The reason why it’s actually really hard is because YouTube doesn’t know who to suggest it to in the beginning. So, for example, say you’re having a haircut article YouTube the algorithm. It’s not smart enough to push it to like hairstylist. Maybe they actively push it to gamers and because of that gamers like don’t want to click on the article.
So sometimes it’s not your fault, but sometimes it could be your fault. So one of the most important ways you can look at your thumbnail to see if it’s a clear message coming across if your thumbnail doesn’t have clear text, if you can’t see a face, YouTube is not smart enough to know where to push it so make sure You guys use keywords and your visuals are really on point so, for example, here’s a thumbnail that maybe wouldn’t do so well, because it’s not really easy to read and there’s just too much going on.
However, this thumbnail has my face really clear and a few words to tell YouTube to push it to people that maybe like hair articles right, because I have a picture of my hair for and after so it’s super important to realize. That has to have a clear, concise message and your face needs to be in it. It’s kind of weird, but I find that YouTube doesn’t like it. When there’s more than two faces like I had a article with five people in it and literally quickly rate plummeted to 5 %, which is actually really bad when you think about it, the minute I changed to two or one face, it really helped so just feel Very clear and your message and the text is super important.
I just quickly have to add the reason why I’ve learned so much about thumbnails has to be for my friend. Orion is a youtuber. He has two million subscribers, but he’s just also a such a good friend of mine that, like I love him to death, he’s super smart and strategic with thumbnails. I’ve literally seen him edit thumbnails for hours just for a single image. So you know he’s just super super detail-oriented and he knows what he’s doing added some shadow, and this is the real photo.
So I cut him out of here and made him look like he was reaching in the car. I think a recent article of his had like 7 million views in two weeks, which is insane, but I actually am happy to say that Ryan is speaking at my event called the green room. The green room is a conference in Los Angeles. This event literally means the world to me, as you can see, like Ryan has helped me also. All my friends who are speaking has helped each other and, like I really wanted to recreate this like support circle in this event.

If you haven’t already – and I can’t wait to meet you guys, let’s go back in today’s article now, once you figure out a really really eye-catching a thumbnail and really good a title, you need to make the article readable and hopefully have people stay as long as Possible so then we’re coming into what we call read time.
I’d say: click-through rate, it’s a little bit more important than wash time, because if people don’t click on your article, then they’re not going to read it but read. Time is just as crucial right, similar to what I said before. If YouTube sees that people are staying for a long amount of time, they’re most likely going to push it to more and more people. A really healthy, read time is around forty to fifty percent.
Now, I’ll be honest again, it is really hard to do that too. You have to be a really good storyteller. You have to keep people engaged if you guys would like to see a whole article about storytelling and creating and engaging a article. Let me know – and I can break it down in the future, but my main summary to make fairly high read time. Content is a really good, beginning middle and end. You want to basically make sure to throughout the article people know why I need to stay to the very end.
Is there a really big problem? You’re solving? Are you making the viewer feel like they’re part of the story right so whether you make tutorials vlogs mixture, you ask yourself like. Why are people staying to the very very end, and once you understand that, then you can create content and put footage that makes sure that it supports that story. So I’ll give you guys an example. This article right here has a read time of 25 percent and the reason why I was so bad and not a really healthy, read time was because I was literally talking for the first three minutes about something completely irrelevant people clicked off.
They didn’t give a. However, this article, that has a read time around 45 percent, was straight to the point I drove right in and I made sure I gave the audience value as soon as possible. So, honestly, you can learn anything about read time, just shut the up get straight to the point, and then you might have a better chance of having a higher beginning and end read time. So now I probably like okay J.
That seems like a lot of data. A lot of analytics, how do I get started as a beginning, youtuber now we’re starting with zero views and zero subscribers, I’m telling you none of this information will be actually helpful because you need to fail and try a lot I personally have made over. I would say, like 400 to 500 articles in my EGIS career, and I definitely had really articles, I mean first 100 articles were super super bad.
So if I can give any recommendation in my main takeaway to anyone who maybe is still confused seriously, just make a lot of articles make a hundred articles that are mediocre, not the best and then reflect and look at the data and see what you can take From it, I think too many people want to optimize too early and I’ll be honest. This article is actually not helpful at all. If you don’t even have a article, so my message to you guys is to go out there make a youtube article, it’s okay! If it sucks it’s okay, if you don’t have a good read time, you can always go back and reiterate, and I believe all success is learning from your mistakes, so don’t be afraid to fall on your face a few times and learn from that.

I didn’t even know I was supposed to talk about personal branding. No, I’m kidding, I’m teasing you so hello, everyone, I’m Brian, I’m very grateful to be here. Thank you to Kelly for organizing these amazing group of people. I basically spend all of my time thinking about branding and thinking about how we can you know. I have several different thesis, — iz, that I try to live my life by, and I do want to make this as interactive as possible, but I’ll just take him way up.
You know in terms of macro thinking, I think that we’re living in the best time to be alive as a human being, and I think that yeah we have things that are not going so well in the US and in the world. But if you think about 50 years ago or 100 years ago, the things that our great-grandparents were dealing with the Black Plague, you know starvation. I think that things are really really improving and I think that we as humans are good.
I mean we have the capacity every single day to hurt each other and at large we don’t, and so you know, my macro thesis is like. I think that we are great people and I think that we have are living in a very exciting opportunity with the technology age that we live in, and I think that creating a personal brand, if you want it, is the smartest self investment that you can make And so you know I work with.
I have a branding company I started at six years ago. We work with some of the biggest brands in the world Intel salesforce.Com, KPMG you’re, not European United Nations, as well as smaller companies startups entrepreneurs. Actually, one of my favorite clients is in the room right now Time Inc, which is a incredible biotech company traded on the Nasdaq solving Stage. Four pancreatic cancer in a non-toxic way.
And I think that you know all of us whether it’s our company or organization or our law firm or our book, or are just story of selfless giving thing. We all have a story to share, and I think that what’s exciting for me about that is you can actually monetize that now you know, and in the past it was either. You chose between working, a crappy job at the bank that you didn’t really like to make eighty five thousand dollars a year to pay for the apartment in the to kids school, and you were basically at a three or four out of ten happiness scale, because the Alternative was do what I love and don’t make any money.
I think it’s flipped, I think now it’s like you actually have a much much much better chance of making a lot of money doing what you love, because the variable that no one really thinks about is yeah. You have to the skill and the talent, but the thing that separates you and I is if we’re basically the same amount of talent and you love it you’re going to spend 18 hours a day doing it, I’m going to spend nine and you’re going to win And you should win, and so the variable is the time that we put into it right, and so that’s that’s how I think about why I care so much about branding.
Everyone has a story to tell whether you’re solving you know the most horrific disease or whether you’re you know trying to sell a pen. You know why and I’m fascinated with the why behind the story – and so I would actually be very curious since in the in the sake of interactivity, for this for this group to know if you have a personal brand, if you want a personal brand and what Kind of frustrations or questions or concerns do you have.
Maybe you want to sell more books right yeah? So what can like? How does that look? Maybe you want to get more speaking like we have a chance to just talk for a minute cuz. You know you wouldn’t stop talking to Thomas, but maybe you want to. Maybe you want more speaking engagements. Maybe you want your personal brand to be more aligned with you know, as known as an international speaker, that’s kind of that’s what I’m hoping to gather from you guys and gals like.
Where are you? What do you want, but I think it’s: how do i? How do I present myself to the world in a way that’s consistent with how I actually want to be spending my time right? If it’s, if it’s the purse, if it’s the professional brand, then it’s? How do I present myself in a way that attracts the people that I want to buy my stuff or attracts people that I want to pay attention to what I’m offering? Maybe I’m not selling anything right now? Maybe I’m offering free clinical trials for a treatment.
You know, and I want to spend, send more people there or maybe it’s the opposite. Maybe it’s listen. I have a job and kind of like you know have it. I have a job in Ernst & Young, I’m a senior executive Alva, but I would also love to do more of this stuff. I’d also love to do more speaking. I would like to do more empowering the youth. How do I do that or you know, maybe not even how do I do that, but that’s where I’m at and then what I’d love to do is kind of context that, where you’re at and then maybe offer some tips, that I’ve been able to see that, Where they work for clients and individual influencers and cultural influencers and brands, so is that helpful if tomorrow woke up and all my financial needs were like met, I’m good for the next 20 30 40 50 years? How would I spend my days? What would I be doing, Who am I you know, and so in with that you we can start to really start thinking about.
Okay, then, to your point, Howard, how can I start to spend? How can I actually, if I had all the money in the world, how would I spend my days and then that’s step, one which is easy and then step two which is hard, which is why 99 % of the world doesn’t actually do this is now it’s Time to meet for me to actually start filling my days like that, it’s a very different thing right. So why don’t we just go around the room, really quick and just kind of like tell me where you’re at with that, and then I do want to do like if you have practical questions that you’re in your mind and that can kind of shape the way That I talked about this and now can you do what you want to do, not quite love and I’ll stay with it, even when I move to another job? Okay, so it’s almost like you want to create you like the way that I’m looking this is you want to basically create a personal brand for yourself that will lead you into that next opportunity.
So you have an opportunity to create a personal brand. You can basically create your own job right now, while you have the other job quietly on the side, that’s going to look almost exactly like what you want to have next. That would be my that’s like my quick take on what you can do, which is start writing articles right now about how you see it going because here’s what will happen – and maybe this is just the easiest instead of going around and like maybe I can just Like listen, then we can make any kind of like jam, but job.

I know I know so so so I would say a couple different things for you right and, and is why don’t you start becoming a thought leader on this right now, there’s nothing holding you back from that right through articles put them on, LinkedIn put them on Medium here just going to happen, this one’s going to read one they’re going to have the job that you want they’re going to say, I want to hire her.
It’s pull marketing right. This is another kind of theme that I talk about. I guess I didn’t even really talk more, so doesn’t matter yeah. This is core it, so so pull marketing is. When people come to you. This is what happens to me. I have a man right here. His name is Mao say hide him out. Guys mouth follows me around during the day: okay and he films me and you guys, might all think Bryan you’re a narcissistic piece of great that and that’s what everybody thinks and that’s fine.
But here’s the thing that here’s the difference, what what I’m really doing right now is proving the future of personal branding. You know in a way that tests a theory on myself with my own money in my own energy. In my own time right, I actually think that what we’re doing right now and we’ll put this will make a cool article for Kelly Kelly will be happy that I’ll help her with her mastermind connect will put this on.
My YouTube page will put this on my Facebook page and, what’s going to end up happening is – and it’s happened already – I’ve closed literally tens and tens and tens of thousands of dollars of business. Because someone said, I saw your article on YouTube and I want to know if you’ll come, make a six-part article series for the department for the dry cleaning Association of America about marketing.
I have never heard of the dry cleaning Association of America. That’s pull marketing and that’s what you should do right pull marketing is, you know, push marketing is the old way it’s dead, knocking on the door, emailing, cold, emailing, cold, emailing, LinkedIn spam all day long. You know hey and then in some cases they even forget to change the word name to like your actual name. You know: hey name, you are a perfect person for my new business, I’m like yourself, you know, like you know, you didn’t change the name, Thomas bro.
You know, and so I think that you have a chance right now, start making articles start, putting up articles start thinking through start a podcast start a podcast right now, where you interview people that you think are doing it well, and this isn’t throwing your organization on The bus – this is just you simply offering another way of thinking about things. I would find the five to 10 to 15 to 20 top leaders right in your organ, your mood in your world that you respect and I would have them on your podcast they’re, going to share that podcast with all their network, which is by the way, the Right network for you to get yourself into that world, that’s what I would do! That’s how I would think about personal brand from your perspective, create your own job right now, while you still have an income, so start small, do one article and then and then real then read that article into a phone and uploaded as a podcast and then read That article on a article and upload it to a YouTube, I’m serious right start with the article start, the article, but here here’s the other thing that I think is important for everybody.
That’s thinking about this and any capacity distribute that content across all the places that people are paint like everyone says people buy from people they what they trust. But that’s not true because before I can trust you, I have to know you, people Bible do they know and people buy from people. They remember right. People buy from people, they trust I can’t buy. I trust him because I know him.
We see each other once a month for the last four years. I know him and he’s memorable, I know you and you’re memorable. I know you and you’re memorable. There are people that you know that are like what was that guy’s name again, and he did the thing what he does you, we all we’ve all been there right, you’re, never going to buy from that guy or that girl cuz. You came from more than name people buy from people, they know and are memorable, so you have to make people know you by putting your stuff out there, and you have to be memorable, your stuff being good and that’s just kind of a principle throughout all of It your story’s amazing, your story’s amazing.
Your stories like the stories are amazing, but now, where do they live? Because what happens with most of us? Is they don’t live anywhere? It’s the first time ever told this story. How long you guys on each other right? They don’t live anywhere, let them live in the world and just read what happens, pull marketing. It all comes to you. It all comes to you. It all comes to you. I don’t mark it at all.
I have so much business coming in right now. I don’t mark it at all content and we put it everywhere that makes sense for evil yeah. I can give you my best advice right now for free, so here here’s what I would think – and this is like the value. I think I think the value of why I’m here like hoping to do this for all of you right that there’s two different things that you said that we’re really interesting to me.
So I’m listening to every single word, you’re saying and my head’s going. The first thing is: maybe what you need is a Critias is a sales partner yeah, you know so there’s there. You know a lot of people struggle with this there’s art and there’s numbers, and it sounds like you’re an artist, but that doesn’t necessarily make you a saleswoman which is fine and the fact you’re identifying. That is already shows me that you’re like tapped into yourself and that you’re already one step closer to winning, because most people are naive to the fact that they suck at sales and then they so the soap.
But that’s like I don’t and, and, and you know, if you don’t want to do it, you’re not going to do it so like recognize, but there’s a couple there’s well, it depends if this is. If this is how yeah it’s self-aware, exactly if you, if you’re paying the bills with this, then yeah you suck at it like? So so you know, but here’s the thing there’s a couple different things. The first thing is find yourself, a partner that, like there are people out there, that I love to sell things.
I love it. There are people out there that love to sell things. They would be happy to sell your product if they believe in it right. That’s the first thing, but the second thing is: I think, that yours, the way that you just the energy that I got from you guys your I can tell you believe in your product. You tell me that you believe in your product. I can tell so that’s the that’s the part where 99 % of people fail, because they’re selling something they don’t actually believe in and it shocks me when I talk and I talk to senior level executives and I’m like.
What’s the deal your sales are going down and they’re, like, I don’t believe in this product and I’m like, but you make 1.8 million dollars a year to believe in this product and they’re like I don’t so you’re the money is actually not going to be enough To motivate you to sell the thing that you don’t believe in I’ve, seen it time and time again, what I will say is this you’re still in the push marketing mentality so you’re talking about you, you just gave me three ideas that I think that if you Execute a smart Facebook ad strategy you’ll make six figures in the next 12 months without selling anybody.
Here’s what you said to me. You said I want. I want to get into more corporations and I’m starting to do that for anyone. That’s trying to sell anything. A book anything trying to get your podcast in front of the right people Facebook’s ad platform right now. I don’t know how much of how much time you guys spend actually how many have ever run a Facebook ad campaign in this room, cool half of you.
How did it work? Yes, it worked. No, it’s! Okay, not really because artistic things perfect, so you haven’t sold so you haven’t been to sell. So let me tell you exactly what you should what you should do to sell your course or your conferences or you as a speaker or as a consultant. You can actually target so I I would create various pieces of content. If I were you, though, the woman that told you about the military opportunity, the veteran I would start I would.
I would do that. I would offer that I would record that I would put it up on my Facebook professional page and then I would target that same article too. So read this we’re doing this right here, this mastermind I’ll put it up. On my, I have a public page on Facebook will upload this article to that public page it’ll live there and it’ll get hundreds and hundreds of organic views, and that’s great.
Sometimes thousands and tens of thousands just depends, but I’m I’m more interested in taking control over the tools that exist. So what I could do is I could literally publish this article and boost this article. There’s a button that says boost post. That’s how you run a Facebook ad, if I’m talking in a way that you guys like what is this guy talk, it turns into response bad and I’m. I would focus it on every single military there’s a place that says interests.
I would put every single military group in the country in that interest box. Now, what’s going to happen, is you’re going to spend 21 dollars in it in front of 5 to 7,000 relevant military people in the US, and one of those 7,000 people is going to be like? Oh, I want to do that for me here. That’s number. One number two same idea with the corporation’s: you can actually target employees of the newspapers, employees of Ernst and Young you’re, going to show up in Kelley’s feed, imagine Kelly’s the Human Resources person or the person that’s in charge of bringing in outside speakers.
You can target that on Facebook and now, all of a sudden, your 30-minute corporate speech that you were going to do anyway is in front of 1,800 of the decision-makers across America in the corporate positions that you want to speak to anyway. No, I do the whole thing. I’d put the I’d put the whole thing up, so they know exactly what they’re getting no surprises. Here’s! What I do, here’s, what you’ll get do you want it or not? You’ve brought in 15 shitty speakers in a row.
Here’s the 30 minutes that you get with me right, you make. I see, people smiling like it’s really happening, that’s a huge thing for you and then the third thing is the middle school thing. You run an ad, you do the middle school thing. You do! The article take 30 minutes, 20 minutes 15 minutes up, and you run it against the principals and the teachers at every Middle School. In New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts, you will get more invitations to speak, and your call to action is message me book me and it takes them to your direct message or to your website where you sell your stuff and that my friend will help you Build an actual business without having to sell anything right now on a camera and see who that starts to attract.
You can only be yourself now. If you don’t want to be out there, then that’s a different story, then you don’t, then you know I never tell. I actually don’t think most people should do the whole like filming all day. Every day thing. I think that’s it’s a ton of work. You have to be on all the time, but like it’s, my truth like I’m. Actually, this is this, is me, and so it works for me. If that’s not your truth, don’t do it, you know, and so the branding thing is weird I mean that’s, that’s your individual opinion, which is fine, but the the branding thing is like, even if, in order for you to do what you want to do, you have To have a brand in order for you to do what you want to do so if you think that it’s I want to be behind the scenes, then why don’t you turn the grapes of the your favorite wine into the lead character of all your content? I’m serious finally find the Malbec grape.
I don’t even know I mean I don’t know anything about wine, but like find the grape of your favorite wine and let that grape be the person that it’s like the ghost of Casper Casper mattresses is there. I don’t know the CEO of Casper mattress. Is this it’s a ghost so find them. So so let it be a grape for you and let that be the the thing that drives the entire brand. You can be the brains behind it, the architect, behind it, to make sure that we’re doing right by the world and we’re not used.
I agree with you like this is terrible right, but but the alternative is like you saying this is terrible, isn’t helping anything if it’s just you saying it’s terrible at a table for people, it’s a big thing. If you say this is terrible and here’s what I’m doing about it and I’m documenting that in the process, because what I can tell you is people will attract to that and you will start to a tree.
You will start to build your tribe right and then let your try like – and it’s like – and I would also even say here, are my beliefs. I think that I think there’s a lot of things that are going wrong in the world. I think we should start creating more thoughtful brands, and I want to start with these with these grapes and this wine and I’m going to show you the process of, and then you become almost a meta brand, meaning I’m going to show you the process of how You build a brand doing good, it doesn’t matter if it’s wine or bottles of water or tea or notebooks.
It’s the theme of building a brand doing good. That becomes your brand, you know, and so that and if that’s because that’s ultimately what you have deep down inside of you, whether it’s the wine or the Russian or whatever you see, there’s a lot of that. You want to mend so use that as the driving force behind the brand and document that brand and then people sort of said, oh he’s, the guy that did that whole.
Like you know the great thing, but what was more interesting and then the great thing was how he showed us every step of the way here, our employees, here’s how we treat them. Here’s what the grapes come. Here’s the fertilizer that we don’t use, here’s the organic soil, here’s the property, here’s my family business. You know what I mean, that’s how I’d think about it see so a couple different things.
You know this is maybe obvious or maybe not obvious. When I, when I first heard a coaching practice, what I did was, I did two different lists. The first was a list of my dream team clients and I would contact them and I would do I would send them in their house like flowers, and I would stalk them on Twitter see what they cared about and send. I sent one guy like a jersey that actually worked. The second thing is find the three or four or five or seven or eight clients.
You’ve had already asked them two questions. Number one: can you refer someone else to me number two, which most people don’t do, which is what else can I help you with, because you already have that trust and what what you’re going to find is they’re like. So you help me with my day-to-day planning. Now I’m ready to do X, I don’t know how to do it. Can you help me with that, and hopefully the answer is yes right.
It’s like I’m actually ready to share my story. I want to write my bio on LinkedIn and I don’t know how to do it yeah, I’m sure, and then all the sudden, you go back to your eight of their clients and say: hey. Have you thought about writing a bio on LinkedIn yeah? But I don’t know how you have eight more new. You have eight more hours for this week and then that that momentum continues to build and then before you know it, you have.
Six years later, you have like a digital service agency. That’s exactly my story. I started out coaching people on public speaking. I was a speechwriter for Bloomberg’s administration in New York City before I left to start my own thing, and so then that seemed like a really easy transferable skill. I went to San Francisco and I started coaching executives on public speaking. That was how I started.
I was a public speaking coach six years later, this we’re doing clients all over the world, so it builds up, but just focus. Some people are trying to network and meet new people and new people, but we have 8 to 10 to 20 people right for your face. The other thing I would say – and this is something that actually I will plug if Thomas the immense amount of credit for find one or two or three or five champions – people that believe in you so much that will do anything to bring you business.
That’s what he does for me find your champions Jesse I can guarantee you have them and take them out to dinner and say listen. I need your help. I believe in this so much. I know how much I’m benefiting. This is a real issue in our society and I need you to help me find business, no one’s going to say no to that cause that you’re doing it’s not like you’re trying to like build the plastic bottle company of America.
I know Vito would probably the CEO of that company and then one more quick thing that I know I know we’re moving on, but I would do all of it. Every single piece of content that you create from now on on any social media platform should say at the end of it. When you hit 15 they’re not going to want to stop when you hit – and I used to do this up 15 min – and there was ninety two minutes later and I was like – I just lost the you know at 15 – cut it off and then say: if You want to keep going with this. I’m happy to talk about this is some of this is some of the idea of what you’ll receive working with me your best on 15, but every piece of social content says contact me for, and every single bio in every single social platform that you have booked Me for your free Pepsi collect it, connect it to a calendar or one of these.
You know automated apps, where you can update your calendar. So it’s it’s there’s, no friction. They can go in there here. The three days here: the 15 minutes boom 3:00 to 3:15. 4:40 and then all the sudden, this week you have 17 new fruit, 15 medical station, one or two of them turn into a client. There’s your nut for the next month or two and you keep and it’s just just keep being scrappy for as long as you can so a couple.
It’s a great point, there’s a couple things. I’d say the first thing is you can do one or two things you can if it sounds like, if Jesse is looking for more clients, I’m assuming you have time right. So if you have the time to do it, then do it if you’re in a place where you don’t have 15 minutes or you can’t take five hours out of your week and maybe that’s where you’re at I don’t know. I don’t know what your schedule looks like, but maybe you don’t have five hours to do that.
What you can do, then, is you can say, learn more about my services here. You send them to a page where you actually ask them to fill in information if they’re not interested, they won’t. They won’t take one second to fill out an intake form and that intake form can be. What is your biggest goal? How much are you willing to spend? You know what is your monthly investment range? What have you tried in the past that has do four or five questions that are pretty basic and if you can’t even take the time to fill that out, then I’m not going to waste, not even always 15 minutes with you.
I love your title. Your book, by the way, that’s great that’s a stanford project and I think you’re, a hundred percent right like you need to own your power. You know like don’t when I hear i’m going to go, get an MBA, i’m like oh you’re lost and then that’s my own opinion and i’m sorry. If I offend anyone here for that, but like I’m like, oh you don’t know what you want to do. That’s why I went to law.
I was like I’m going to law school like I want to be. I wanted to be the mayor of New York City and as a good seal you’re going to you go to law school. That’s why I would say last week I want to be the mayor of New York City and like didn’t. Well, I don’t let’s too many people you have to please with anyway, but I just man I just I really see, but but you go to Stanford and you say like this is my: this is my project for the year yeah, it’s the next book.
It’s the next documentary you you’re going to hire me to do this, for you and and also do your program and like, but you don’t need to destroy my insane anything. Do what you want by the distraction of the program for a year just make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons? Not because you need a break or you know, I’m saying yep, that’s cool, so if it feels good for you good, for I just don’t want you to lose momentum.
Yeah you’re, amazing, I mean we’re going to be searching for voice, saves us time. You know. Buy me more water and the water shows up in the your house to you we’re just going to be a car is going to. We see things through audio as a time saver I can. I can Joey, you can drive your kids to school and listen to your podcast. You can take a shower and listen to your podcast. You can cook or you know, smash grapes and listen to a podcast, but you can’t read a article.
That’s why podcasts are going to win every single piece of content that you produce from now on has to be like, be an early user of our app or be the first to know when our app is ready and you collect the name in the email and Then three months from now, six months from now, you already have a thousand or 2,000 or 3,000 or 5,000 people, and in the meantime, what you can do is for the next every week for the next six months.
You set you, keep the people warm, you can’t collect her name and her name of my name and all of a sudden like six months from now is the first time I hear from you like who’s Dan right so every week you should do something for them. Surprise them send them is going on around learn any language. Duolingo really also do duolingo. Not yet. Oh, it’s dueling, sorry out there getting a lot of buzz, so you can do that because I have waste and YouTube.
I have already some good. You have some yet that I could promote my app, but the only thing that’s stopping me from ever. You know. Is this somebody’s going to steal my idea? No, you don’t need the patent it I mean. You know it’s nothing to steal your idea. Here’s the thing! Here’s there’s two there’s two big problems: everyone is this, I’m so happy that you’re saying that cuz everyone is so scared of everyone’s stealing their idea.
There’s two things to think about number one. Your idea doesn’t mean anything right now, because so she could. I can steal your idea now: do I have 80 hours a week to dedicate to actually building it? No, so I can’t study it second thing: is this the reason and the only reason that people are going to download your app is because number one they want to learn about flamingo, music and guitar, but number two and much much much more important? Why not going to buy your book and not the other hundred books out there, because I, like you and I, like you and you’re, a good dude and I’ve known you for like a year now and you’re a good dude and I’m going to support you.
So if I Spade 399 on your app, even if she steals your idea, I’m still giving you three I’ll give her for you, 99 I’ll, give you three ninety-nine and I’ll use the one, that’s better. So the reason that I’m so I I believe so much in the personal brand is because the only way for someone to like you is to know you people come, we were in Guatemala. Two weeks ago I was given the conference there. I had a hundred people come up to me.
I’ve been I’ve spent five days in my entire life in Guatemala. I had 100 people come up to me and say your articles are really helping me. I’m here today to meet you and I’m like from where, like oh, I took a bus to up from two hours from here to me and I’m just like Wow. This is like that was one of the times where I was like this is real. This is like, why listen? Why do you go to concerts of people? We’re not? I can buy your music online.
Why did we go to your concert? Because I liked you and the only way I like because we you’re married and like I knew you from her but like what about the people who don’t know you know, people thought 8 billion people out there that need that. You know that’s why. I really think that all of your content should start to go out there and connect to a mailing list, and then you take the time over the next three to six months to let people get to know you here.
I miss my wife, it’s Kelly and we’re here today in Brooklyn. I do that all the time I do live calls all the time and literally it’s. What can I help you with and guess what I sell at the end of that live, call, nothing and guess what happens. It just comes to me same thing with the app you wouldn’t have to sell the app you’ll put it up, and six thousand people you’ve been communicating with for last six months will download it so guys. I got a book shelf over here in the corner with a bunch of books, and I read not as much as I used to actually in high school I hated reading.
I got out of high school. I started enjoying reading because I found like self-help books and, like actual factual books like I have philosophy books whatever enough with the books in my whatever, but like the intelligent investor right, Rich, Dad, Poor, Dad, the richest man in Babylon thinking Grow Rich. How to win friends and influence people? These books teach you things that you’re not going to get from a formal education, and this is some of the the best way to really amplify your rate of return on yourself and even buying courses like courses to learn how to trade options.

Some stocks aren’t great dividend stocks to have, they still have a dividend yield. Some of them are are great dividend stocks and they don’t have a high dividend yield, but it really doesn’t matter about the dividend yield itself, but rather more dividend growth. So if you’re, if you have a high dividend rate high, you know but you’re not growing, then I’d much rather have a lower dividend rate, but I know it’s going to grow over the next five to ten years and this is your annual dividend yield going up.
So let’s say s, phd’s dividend yield is four point, one eight seven percent. Now, let’s say you take your entire thousand dollars and invest it into s PhD. So four point one. You’ll definitely see your growth over time and and not only will you be getting money from dividends, but let’s say your stock appreciates ten percent in one year, so you’re not only getting dividends from the stuff.
You also get in capital gains from the price of the stock increasing over time, and with these two combined, you can definitely make a lot of money over time Gus. Now you own real estate, now you’re a real estate investor, but through a real estate, investment trust and the good thing about these is that they, you get a lot of them paid every month, but some of them also pay every quarter. The good thing about this is: you can pick what type of real estate you want to be in whether it be large warehouses, whether it be convenience stores, whether it be apartment, buildings, hospitals, senior, living just things.
You know there’s a bunch of different areas to get into in a lot of these focus on certain ones on certain areas of real estate, but some of these, especially Oh Realty income, focus on well, I think it’s 47 or 49 different areas of real estate, and This is a great way to fight diversify your portfolio. I actually own quite a few REITs in my portfolio. You don’t even have to stop at $ 1,000. You can start with as little as $ 100.
I think Oh right now is a little above 80 bucks per share, but definitely do your own due diligence when it comes to these stocks, especially you know anything. So the only downside with these REITs is that you can’t leverage your money out of a property so meaning that if you own a hundred thousand dollar house – and you have $ 50,000 of equity in it, usually you can pull out a certain amount of equity.
