Octavo Systems OSD32MP1x System-in-Package and Pengutronix at Embedded World 2020 show Open Source

So we have devices that we put into the system in package. Traditionally, a processor memory, power management all together in some of the smallest form factor that you will find in the industry is this: the most advanced si P in the world when it comes to the microprocessor world, it is definitely if not the most advanced one of The most advanced ones in the market, especially when it comes to size and performance, and you also have some great software.

As a matter of fact, we have some fantastic partners, and today we’re here with our partner, peg neutronics and we’re going to talk a little bit about our latest system in package, which is based on the STMicroelectronics MP one Robert yeah hello. We are doing embedded Linux development for just really MERS and for the ante one which is over there, we just took the mainline Linux kernel. We are working with and put it on the device.

As you can see here, and in this demo, we have shown how easy it is to make an embedded Linux system with it. So what you can see here is that the the display over there is just a standard, off-the-shelf components you can just buy from a catalog, and then you take the empty one and just standard Linux kernel and you all have standard components and you can make a Very easy battening system, with very good kernel support it’s all in the mainline kernel.

We have worked with a minor in kernel and put all the relevant stuff in in there, including the 3d accelerated open source at now with drivers for the 3d graphics in here as well, accelerated, graphics and that’s all they’re all open source. That’s a big deal for SD to get into Linux, to get good Linux in there. Yeah and st did a very good job in well designing the the chip in a way that all the major components are already in the mainline kernel.

In the meantime, they did a very good job in well doing a lot of work in new community, supporting all that things. So you don’t need big patch tags anymore and all the relevant things are in there yeah. The important thing is to make things easier for our customers, and I think that’s one of the things that the conjunction of the manufacturers, such as the the software that is being provided by paying atronics in combination with the hardware that has been developed by a cable Systems, I think, all coming together to make our customers life easier.

So you did you just took that stm32 mp1 and you put it in your SIV. Basically, that’s exactly what we did so it’s there. So you have a chip in the middle, as I said before, has the processor has the power management has the ddr3 memory, plus over a hundred other components that are in there in one of the smallest form factors that is actually the smallest system in package available Today, for the mp1 and having this kind of s, IP changes things also in terms of what the embedded solutions going to be at the end.

Yeah, especially, it makes it very easy for the industrial and customers to really come to to the core of the problem. Solution very quickly, you have a lot of software things of the Linux kernel, that’s all there and in order to make a solution, you need to well rich together your physical problem with the software world and the combination of these sips and the standard kernels. With all the things which are already there, that makes it very easy, especially to support things for the long term, what’s pretty important in the industry and what is showing here this screen here on the screen.

This is about automatic testing. So when we are using our men and Linux kernels, then the thing is that you can support industrial devices over 10 to 15 years and something like that and if you do that, you need to make sure that your devices work all the time. And we have something like 60,000 updates of the Linux kernel a year and you need to make sure that nothing breaks and what we are doing here is.

We have automated testing. We have an example here: here’s an abort which is being tested and all the rest is test automation which automatically flashes the Linux kernel, the bootloader, the root filesystem. Everything into the device runs a lot of tests and make sure that all the tests are green and that you that you can use any new kernel. And can you support your devices of a very long time. Sponge and one of the big deals with the embedded world is to have the long-term support so that the SI package you’re doing it’s going to be there for absolutely.

As a matter of fact, we are in conjunction with our manufacturing partners such as stmicroelectronics to ensure that the system in package is offered, at least as long as the processor itself, and the power management is offered by STMicroelectronics, and this also has a cortex m4 yeah. What can the Linux talk to that one or is just basically? Yes, Linux has infrastructure to talk to coprocessors it cannote the firmware inside.

It can talk about mailbox interfaces, for example, it can even make virtual IO blogs to the coprocessor, but that’s something we have not worked yet so far, but we in fact have brought the cortex-m port of linux into the mainline kernel. So it would even be possible to run Linux on that correct and but I don’t know if there’s any real use case, but means you will be two layers yeah. It could be possible – maybe people with linux and their largest and some Archos, and do the real-time stuff in the cortex-m which are cos.

It depends you can run free, our toes or whatever you like, as well all right and the embedded world. There’s a lot of compact devices so SIV, it makes sense exactly. I think a lot of customers are asking for miniaturization. They want the most performance that they can actually get in the smallest possible form factor and by delivering this type of solution, we’re enabling customers to be able to do that, save the hassle.

They don’t need to worry about DDR routing. They don’t need to worry about all these passive components lay down on the board, so they can reduce the amount of layers on their board. They can reduce the cost of manufacturing and they can get to market faster, which is one of the key things that is important getting to market as fast and as efficiently as possible, but isn’t exactly too small. Are there any negatives in doing so compact? Well, actually, the good news is that this assembles just like any other component, so in the regard that the customer has the ability to implement this in a very small form-factor makes it easy for them.

Also, we have a lot of reference designs to make our customers life easier. I think that’s just as important as delivering the solution delivering the resources, so customers can easily design it into their boards. So how much of the embedded world is Linux well taken from our perspective, basically everything, because all the companies who are coming to us so a linux company and Bolivians company already decided for linux these days.

But if we look around it’s in really in in all kind of industries, from airborne entertainment systems to PLC’s medical devices and any kind of things, that’s really everywhere, there’s a lot of entertainment, kind of things and touchscreen things right, but yeah, but also in real time Control system much there, yes, is growing fast yeah, definitely especially when it comes to network connectivity.

For example, we have customers doing industrial switches or heavy-duty vehicle controllers. You are like on on a tractor on any kind of heavy-duty equipment. So that’s that’s very popular. There is a Linux, the fastest, the most optimal the best voice. It’s especially the the operating system with the biggest community behind that, because thousands of engineers worldwide work work on it constantly, and the interesting thing is that they are doing it because it solves their problems.

It’s not some product, someone invented for big marketing things or something like that, but it solves really problems of the engineers and that’s why people use it and that’s why it solves the problems in such a good way.

WORK FROM HOME: 8 HIGH PAYING BUSINESS IDEAS YOU CAN START ON LOCKDOWN (WITH NO MONEY OR TRAINING)

None of these ideas – I’m going to be sharing, require a college degree and they don’t require a lot of money to get started. You can launch them in a matter of weeks or even days and, most importantly, you do not have to quit or compromise your day job. To start any of these. This is millennial money in business.

We share the tools to help. You escape your nine-to-five with confidence. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday so do me a favor hit like and subscribe. It tells the algorithm to show our article to more people, and it gets us that much closer to our goal of becoming the first woman read business blog with more than 1 million subscribers. I’r Coco: I want building businesses more than anything like how some people enjoy doing their makeup.

All the time shopping all the time I love making money, but what I’ve learned on my entrepreneurial journey is not all businesses or side hustles are created. What is going on? I’r just curious, so what’s up with this art back here my vision board, all businesses require sacrificing time after work and on weekends, but they don’t obey the same. I don’t know guys so I created this list of 8, most profitable businesses to start in 2020.

So you don’t waste any of your precious time and I’ve added a bonus tip that I know will fast-track your success in any one of these businesses number one start: a drop shipping store if you aren’t familiar drop. Shipping is a business model where you just basically act as the middleman between a product, manufacturer or distributor, and the customer, and your only job is marketing. The thing that makes this a super dope option is the fact that you don’t have to stock up on inventory.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YhL5vCZtTM8

You don’t have to deal with the manufacturing or fulfillment process. You literally just pick a product that someone is willing to drop ship for you, you mark it and advertise the product and when you get a sale, you contact your drop shipper and they ship it directly to your customer for you. If the process is working right, you don’t even physically touch or see the product at all, everything happens seamlessly.

Can we drop it two times for drop shipping, though now this is literally one of my favorite business models, because, as long as you have the order fulfillment process automated, which is way easier than it sounds, this model is totally scalable number two most profitable business. That literally, anyone can start in 2020 start a service business if you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and put in the work starting a business where you provide a manual service in real life.

That’s another great option. Our house cleaner, makes over a hundred dollars an hour what yup, while you over there. Judging because they’re focused on that bag and not worried about that judgment, they’re making more cleaning houses, then most people are getting paid using their degrees. Then babysitters out here are making sixteen twenty on average per hour plus transportation. What did you say? You spent on your babysitter on a night out ketchup, two hundred and fifty a single night.

You can be doing that. Okay, ecommerce is a great way to make money, but, as these examples have shown, it’s not the only way now the next few ideas I love, especially because they’re all about leveraging the business of you and your personal and professional experience so number three most profitable business. That literally, anyone can start in 2020 become a freelancer if you’re thinking. Well, I don’t have ask o to leverage you’re wrong.

Do you speak English? Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth? You can become a spokesperson like any of the people. You see here on your screen advertising their services on Fiverr. What do you like to do? Do you like to read or write, because someone out there that doesn’t feel is confident in those areas? Will pay you for your help? Do you like clothes? Are you willing to take the time to create some digital flat, lids and post them on your IG, so people can reach out to you to style them? Do you know how to get and keep a man? Do you have hardware, and are you willing to guide your girls to the altar? We as women don’t give ourselves enough credit, there’s value in every single story, especially yours, even if you’re still in college.

The fact that you made it there is something you can sell to parents and students trying to get there too, and this is starting to blend into the number four most profitable business to start in 2020, becoming a coach way way way way way way way. I don’t mean sport ball coach. I mean a professional guide, you’re, probably familiar with the idea of business coaches, but there are also birthing coaches, fitness, coaches, style, coaches, you two coaches, healthy eating, coaches.

I can literally pick any word put in front of coach. I bet there’s someone out there using their experience to get paid to help someone else reach that destination. Now as a business coach, full disclosure – I charge at least you ready for this. I charge you at least $ 1,000 per hour for one-on-one with me and people pay for it. You excited about becoming a coach, yet yeah, no did I subscribe, say hi in the comments number five most profitable business to start in 2020, launched an online course, which I actually prefer over one-on-one business coaching why it does require a lot more time upfront to create The course, but once you do the work it is done and as long as you’re marketing the course it’s basically passive income.

I have two courses both have links in the description. The first course I launched the green business masterclass that made over $ 12,000 in 12 hours and my hair extensions business masterclass course it’s in pre-launch and it’s already making money totally passively. I literally just get a notification on my phone saying. I just made another thousand dollars and that’s that number six most profitable business to start in 2020 launch a private community.

Now this was my first business venture that made over six figures in less than half a year off memberships alone, I charged $ 40 per month. Once inside the group, members gain access to information only shared amongst group members and they all shared a sense of community and camaraderie inside now. To do this, you got to choose a niche that you know. People are interested in and provide real, tangible value for members, and you have to be willing to invest your time into fostering a sense of community inside now.

You guys have heard me mention our private community, CEO Society, it’s only $ 5 to join and the value we offer inside your ability to connect with like-minded hustlers and share ideas and create friendships, plus monthly, live stream business coaching with yours. Truly that would otherwise cost you $ 1000. All of that value definitely outweighs the cost of joining. So it’s like a it’s like a no-brainer and that’s what you have to do for yours.

If you’re planning on monetizing a private community got ta pack that value in there number 7 most profitable business to start in 2020, he picks just playing what maybe, maybe maybe I was joking about this, but but look how it rolls in watt ride with me a Second, number seven is to start a print-on-demand store, but I guess if what you’re printing on t-shirts and mugs is feet? Pictures and people I know, went off the deep end, yep okay, so this is kind of similar to drop shipping and that you don’t have to hold any inventory or handle fulfillment.

All you have to do is design an item on a website like a spring or print a full market it and cash in when it sells you don’t even have to handle fulfillment. SEO Basics: Why Do Links Matter For SEO – Rapid Immersion #7

Why do links matter for SEO, if you’re new to the world of SEO and are exploring the topic of link, building or link acquisition, or, if you’ve been doing SEO for quite some time and are looking for a quick refresher? This article is for you to start out: let’s clarify what a link is in the context we’re talking about today, as it’s always good to review the fundamentals.

A link also commonly called a backlink inbound link or an inward link, is an incoming hyper link from one web page to another website. It’s, for example, if you have a website, your web site com, and I have a website reef, digital combo, you and I decided to place a link to your website on reef digital comdata. You for our visitors to visit. You with you, have received a link. So, generally speaking, this would be a good news for you, as your website now has extra exposure and will restart and will start receiving visitors who have been referred to you from reef beyond this, though, the presence of this link can also benefit your rankings in search Results leading to even more visitors finding your site, but why does the presence of this link impact your SEO? The best answer starts with exploring how search engines use and depend on links to function so to explain.

Let’s look at the big picture of what a search engine does. Okay, the first thing it does is: is it navigates or crawls the web to discover content? It then indexes this content. In large databases, it calculates the relevancy and the meaning of the content. It ranks the content versus other items available in the database and then finally, it serves as results in milliseconds when we request it by performing a search as the Internet is a big and ever-changing place.

Search engines need a lot of computing power mesh with smart software to do these tasks on a 24 hour a day, seven days a week basis and as the scope of the challenge is way beyond what a person or team of people could do manually. The engineers at search engines have looked to develop machine learning methods to try and keep up one way, they’ve done. This is by using algorithms an algorithm is a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations and problem-solving situations.

These algorithms are at the very heart of what makes a search engine good or bad at answering. Our queries in the early days of the web search engines used links as a primary method of discovering new content. The search engine did this by starting at one side. Let’s say, for example, the New York Times then following each link it encountered as it navigated through content the search engine software often called a bot or a spider, would travel from link to link to link finding new information to serve up for searchers back.

Then, if you had a website and wanted it to appear in search engines, you needed to be linked to from a website that a search engine already knew about or you’d risk. Your site never being found. Now for google links play a particularly important role in their story beyond using links to discover content, the founders of google made two very important observations that would go on to establish their search engine as the best in the market.

The first observation was that online some webpages have far more links than others, and the second observation, these frequently linked to pages, tend to be superior resources. This thinking was simple, but revolutionary links providing a strong signal about the value of a web page. A link from one website to another could be likened to an endorsement or a vote for that website. From an SEO perspective and as Google was already crawling the web at length to discover content, it was able to easily see which pages were the most link to so that it could then prioritize that content for a person who was searching, which is really brilliant.

So fast forward to today and search engine algorithms are now better than ever at measuring links and assigning ranking power on a case by case basis. Now one link can be worth several hundred or even several thousand times the value of another, so modern SEO. Practitioners are tasked with identifying and then earning links that search engines regard the most, which is what makes SEO as much of an art as it is a science.

Well, that about wraps up this introduction to why links matter for SEO in the next article we’ll be going into more detail about how to evaluate the SEO value of a link on a case by case basis. So you can inspect the links to your own site or to that of a competitor site and better understand why a particular web page is or isn’t ranking in the text accompanying. This post you’ll also find links to some of our favorite tools to help you conduct this analysis, so thank you very much for your time and all the best have a great day.

How To Grow a New Website to Over 50,000 Organic Visits Per Month

Now, I’m going to say this right now: it’s not easy! It’s hard you’re going to put at the time his own fucking acts, no growth. Hacks no like, if you use days all of a sudden the floodgates opening a millions of people go to your website no way. I know that shit doesn’t exist, however, going to show you a proven skillful model they can duplicate and send off to your team, rinse and repeat: look at your analytics optimized based on your analytics and grow and grow and grow and grow and scale the right way.

Okay, so this is a model in a nutshell and keep this article short as possible. The system is called a who. What where and how system in this article just been talking about the where forget about everything else, but just let you know that’s where it comes from. So if we’re looking at the whole model most businesses, they will spend a lot of time focusing on their own platform. You want to start off with a start up.

You get your beautiful website, so you have your big website over here. You spend all this kind of money, creating content inside this website right through the money sign and you go out really cool. Look at my constant of my website. You do some social media posts see all of this. You know normal stuff. What they tell you to do and guess what nothing happens? No one comes your website because no one is a shit about your company.

No one cares about your brand yeah you’re, nobody, okay. So this is what you need to do. Instead, you still, you still need to build out your website, but don’t invest that much time into it, make it aesthetically pleasing, make it mobile friendly the standard stuff? Okay, so you have your website like so and basically what I want you to do is I’m going to spend. You know enough of your time creating three amazing pillar posts and what pillar posts are are guides or articles anywhere between two thousand words thousand words.

Beautiful images and articles like you really invest your time in and kind of like become the industry leader. In that specific, you know topic they were talking about, so you have three, so three pillar posts would call them, and you know, on average, like spending over between five hundred fifty thousand on the pillar post – maybe more maybe less – I don’t know – maybe doing yourself. Nonetheless, one three of them on your website: it really be strategic, pick three topics in your industry: let’s say your e-commerce of a product, maybe if you’re selling a pen maybe talk about them like cost of business for an office, that’s one and the second one is How to reduce overhead in your office, you get it just a bit, so three different topics with inside your industry and you create these pillar post on these bullshit 500 word cheesy little dinky articles and I fucking hate okay.

So now I got three polar posts. This is where the scalability model – the hard work, comes in. Remember what I said. Nobody knows you exist. Your website is in ghost town, remember the movie Field of Dreams. If you will build it, it will come down. Comes don’t cares about your fucking baseball field, okay, so, basically, what you need to do is this: you need to drive your Google Doc sheets and you’re, going to you’re going to do this you’re going to have one section which is called a GP another section which Is called podcast and if you guys can see that on this is garbage, so force markers seen need actually a fuckin marker business.

So we’re going to have there. We go we’re going to have a desperate, better GP and podcast okay and basically, what you’re going to do with GPS for guest clothes. You can use a tool like bus sumo, so this is what I do. I go to bus to go get the pro feature. Trust me don’t Chin’s out on that free feature Pro feature: invest in proper fucking software, go to bus, sumo and type in the keywords, your business, so we’re going to still use the whole theme about the marker based going to type in the keyword startup.

I’r going to type in the word and the consumer product and type in the word, maybe design so figure out the main keywords in the ordinate of your business and one side of us to move. There is a check mark for guest posts. You check that only that nothing else, and it’s going to give you all these articles where people have guest posted holy shit. That’s a fucking goldmine. So basically, what you want to do is you want to click the button on the right? It’s going to look for the most shares, so LinkedIn shares for the shares Facebook shares and then basically go by one by one, every single one, and what I’m looking for is I’m looking for hide the main website north of 40 plus domain Authority.

A great little trick you can do, is you take the URL of that website? You can plug it into a website called similar web.Com boom and you look for monthly traffic. So what you’re looking for is anywhere between north of a hundred thousand monthly hits? You don’t want anything south of that, because it’s not worth your time. So let’s say you go through the whole process of finding websites doing more than one hundred thousand hits a month domain of 30, 40 plus 40 plus and basically you’re making a list of least at least 30 guest hosting opportunities.

So you go to your Google Docs and Google Drive and you make content okay cool now, um go is due to podcasting. So basically, podcast is a little bit easier to leave any tools at all. You can go to six-year. You can go to iTunes. You can go to Google Play or Google podcasts and basically you’re looking at least the top 40 in your needs, so, let’s type in, for example, once again with this, maybe you, entrepreneurs, startup marketing, consumer goods, etc and basically you’re.

Looking for the top 40, you rip that data out you go to a Google Doc and once again guess what name content boom. That’s your list! Okay, and this is what you do. Let’s start with the guest post, you go one by one and email them and I usually ask permission based marketing as opposed to just pitching them. Like literally this will I do subject line trying to connect or to blow the name of the person.

So let’s say to Mike from a mere: are you accepting guest post question line and a fucking story, literally more than 80 % of the time to email me back what you got? What do you have in mind? That’s privileged space marketing boom, open up the relationship and that’s when you sell them. So basically what you want to do is you know those three pillar posts that you had. So this is what you do around those topics you pitch them: a good guest post that it’s congruent with their audience, not what you want, but congruent with their audience, based on those three pillar Cosi you’re talking about – and this is where the traffic part comes in – Because if you’re looking at Google rankings, they care about backends for your website, they care about bounce rate, they care about how many other websites that people are talking about your website and anchor linking to your website, etc, etc.

So let’s say the first person accepts our guest post. You start writing a beautiful guest post on their website addressing their audience. Talking about the three color posts are roughly around the three pillar post ideas you had somewhere in that post your going to have a link to one of your pillar posts and the whole idea how we do how we do it usually is: let’s say we’re going To call this on our pillar post, one so pillar, post one is: we have a campaign for each pillar post, so pillar, post one is we’re looking for roughly and we’re between five to ten guest posting opportunities in each of these guest posting opportunities.

They have one link, so anchor text based link back to pillar post, one more or less you’re, creating an organic personal backlinking network, as opposed to paying in and controlling your own. That’s a whole different article, but this is an organic way. Different websites different website different web sites. You have now pushed their audience, you’re, building links back to your pillar post, and that’s it simple as that.

So once you’re done p1 go to p2 p3, you get they just divisible down the whole. This you get ready for rejection, sure keep on moving forward if moving forward and moving forward. The whole idea now you’re telling Google that you are a trustworthy website. The people deem you as an authority and will see you above all when you get fucking exposed to like mass amounts of audience. Like imagine getting a guest post on, like I don’t know, website doing the million hits a month and then they put in the front page.

You can’t buy that type of media. It’s too expensive. You got it for free you under community. You get it back into your website times that by five six seven, ten, twenty five twenty five guest posts – you do the math. It really does help your company. This is scalable quantifiable. You can look your Google Analytics. You can see how many people are coming from every link, every post, bounce rate, etcetera, etcetera, become very become.

You know, use Matthew advantage. You know I wasn’t number from the beginning. I realized how important numbers are so really digging deep with your analytics and see what’s happening? Is you going on and then optimized from their podcast a little bit different, so podcasts are obviously not guest hosting you’re, not ready for them. We reach out, I figure out what the angle of their audience is pitch.

Your idea pitch your story and just be you be fun. We’re in and have a good conversation, be interesting for people and usually for the most part, use podcasting. You have a spot where they link back your website. It’s not obviously to your article, but here’s a little tip on top of that. If you are in a position where you can offer something special for their audience, create a unique page for the audience.

So let’s say going back to the markers: maybe you can have like entrepreneur and partners, John Lee Dumas as a podcast and all these other people a podcast or you know, art of charm, Jordan Harbinger. You can have art of charm, comm, slash goal marker, for example. So from our to charm, Jordans page they click it. They go to market page, a special offer just for his audience. Okay, so make a unique make it personable just for their audience that that little extra goes a long way.

That’s it! You go down the list. You finish that, but I mean that’s how you get traffic to your website. It’s not you just focusing on your website. If you do outreach, you building the bonds or relationship with everybody else in your ecosystem and also you getting exposed to other people’s platforms. That’s the most important thing, your message, your brand, everything that you want to sell is now exposed on these platforms have millions and millions of readers or followers and Watchers.

That’s it I’ll leave you with that. You got a comment coming below. Let’s see you later, peace

It up in the comments or in the description below All right. The first thing: That you’re going to need to know about email marketing is That you’re going to need a good email service provider. Now what that is, it allows You to do a ton of things really and if you don’t have one, if you’re doing email Marketing you’re legit crazy, But it allows you to do a Lot of things on automation like send out bulk emails like broadcast to all of your list.

It allows you to send Out a series of emails, which is what we call an autoresponder, that you emails, that you Pre-Write in a series – and it goes out automatically to people as they subscribe to your list – It allows you to segment Your list by tagging, people and a whole bunch of other cool things that you’ll learn about, especially if you get my 24 costly email, marketing mistakes guide and access to the free course.

But for the purposes of this Article, let’s stay focused, You need an email service provider, The one that I recommend is ConvertKit. You can check’em out In the description below or the link in the description below The reason why I chose ConvertKit,’cause I’ve tried other email Service providers in the past, like Click Funnels, for example, that were very limited. And very frustrating, and it didn’t allow me to do all the things that I need to do in order to serve the people.

That are joining my list So check out ConvertKit. All my future articles will be based around if you have ConvertKit. Although a lot of this stuff will work with other ( voice, muffled ) Service providers as well, so if you already have one cool And you’ll, also get access. To more of my advanced articles, where we’re going to talk specifically About using ConvertKit Once again, that’s up in the the link is up in the description below.

So let me tell you a story, though, of how I under-utilize Using automation in my when I first started off, With email marketing, I, like many others, just was Concerned on growing my list – And I didn’t really focus On the nurturing aspect, And that’s exactly what an Autoresponder allows you to do When people are joining your list, especially if you got from on YouTube and they’re coming into contact.

With you for the first time or you’re, running Advertisements through them, They don’t really know you that well yet, And so an autoresponder series is a series that you could Walk people from their journey from when they first come. Into contact with you to getting them excited to Take the next step with you, whether that’s buying an Affiliate product from you buying one of your own products or just setting them up for Something in the future, but helping them get some Quick wins in the process.

I was under-utilizing This’Cause, I was just focused on growing it and I would just blow through and maybe like write one followup In an autoresponder Series you should have for real legit. You Should shoot to aim from 10 to 20 email, followups That you’re literally walking people through a process You’re getting them to get to know you You’re entertaining them at the same time and you’re educatin’ them in a really really rock solid way.

Write this down a really rock solid way to build that relationship. To nurture them to get people to become A raving fan of yours, or at least to keep them comin’ back to opening up your emails, is to actually help them get a specific Result that they want a desired result that they want Help them get a quick win. If you do that, people Are going to love you for it All right now that you know that you’re going to help your subscribers get quick wins in the Emails that you send them that you follow up with some other ways that you can get them engaged and excited and actually opening your emails is to actually provide an open loop or create some type of curiosity or a desire to scratch.

The Itch in your subject line The subject line is that Little thing that you can read whenever you get an email, And you read the headline: it’s called a subject line, It’s usually really short and it’s what you wan na use that for you wan na use that small Piece of real estate is to not give a summary of Exactly what your email’s about, but to kinda, be click baity in a sense, There’s nothing wrong with click bait.

As long as you deliver on the bait, So get people excited About where they read it, and it’s like oh, I have to Open this email right now And if you do that, if you get really good at creating a desire to scratch, The itch with your people and the itch is obviously To open up your emails and read what you’re talking about, then they will actually open it. So you’re opening loops. That’s how our human brain works.

If you open a loop, we have a strong desire to close that loop. That’s why a lot of soap operas shows they always leave on a cliffhanger and they keep people waitin’ around’til, the commercial’s Over to keep comin’ back Or at the end of it, they always Leave it at the cliffhanger, That’s exactly what you’re Tryin’ to go for here in your subject line All right: cool man, you’re helpin’ people, gettin’ quick, wins as soon As they join your list and your email, followups and you’re, also creating Engaging subject lines that gets people to actually open up the email in the first place.

So, let’s head to the computer, I’m going to show you what This looks like in person, and I’m also going to give You another strategy: that’s pretty legit! It’s going to help. You put some Moola in your bank account when you use it right All right here we are in ConvertKit. Now what I love most about ConvertKit is it’s really simple to use. The interface is really simplistic. You don’t have to be a tech.

Guru to understand this like infusion software example, If you’re a guy like me, that’s not really technically advanced, you can hop right in and do your thing Now, let’s dive into a sequence, This is a sequence I already built out. You literally write this One time each email Now anytime anybody opts into the list. They get all these emails in sequence And, if you wan na, add new Emails, just click add email.

If you wan na drag it around Boom, you could drag it around Super simple to use Now. First thing’s First, one of your emails that we talked about subject line so you got ta draw’em in You, got ta create that desire. For them to scratch the itch Right here: three rules: For email marketing, you should never break If you are into email. Marketing and you read that more than likely you’re going to read that and you’re going to wan na click, the email and actually see what’s inside Because it’s open in a loop on something, that’s interesting to you and you wan na know what the answer is Now the key here, man, five strategies to build your email list for quality subscribers you’re, definitely going to Click on that email, if you’re into email marketing.

The key here, though, is Where most people get wrong is that they don’t deliver on the hook on the actual subject line, And then they tell some story hit on the pain pressure points and then they link to a Product to get the solution, They don’t actually help you in the email And that’s where most people Are droppin’ the ball If you wan na win and stand out, In front of everybody else actually help your people Inside your emails, Help’em walk’em through step by step on how to achieve a process how to achieve the goals? That they already have You got people that Value their money more, which are the do-it-selfers, And if you do that, they’ll Just do it themselves cool And then you also have people That value their time more, You show’em it and they’re still going to wan na hire yo to do it And guess what even the do-it-selfers, if you help them get results.

They’re going to sing your praises to everybody else, which brings you more people in the long run So play the long game, Actually deliver on your subject lines and help people get Quick wins in your emails and you’ll build a highly engaged audience with email marketing. Finally, part of that Step-By-Step process, it could be, one of the steps might be like in this. One, for example, might be an affiliate Product that you use Like I use ConvertKit and I’r recommending ConvertKit just like I am on this Article to my audience, after I’m helping them Inside of this course get a specific result: They don’t have to get ConvertKit, It’s just the one I recommend Boom.

They click on that. I earn a commission at no Additional cost to them, Maybe you help them through A step-by-step process, and now they have a new Goal and that new goal has a problem that they Need to get through and you had the solution for that and you can link up directly To your sales page there And that’s ways that you Can monetize as well There’s literally a ton of ways Make sure you get the lead, magnet the 24 costly email marketing mistakes to get this whole entire course.

So we can go through this Step by step by step, Yo, real quick, if this Article helped you at all give it a thumbs up if you thought it was crappy. Give it a thumbs down make sure you hit subscribe to the blog, so you continue to get The number one resource that’s going to help you level up in your passive income business And if you want a more advanced guide on how to generate more leads. DNS Filtering Followup: DNSFilter Blog Post & Quad9

This is a follow up to the DNS filtering article that I did where I compared Quad. Nine DNS filter, Cisco umbrella, open DNS, which I was actually you have a follow up article on that, because Cisco reshot makes I was in the wrong control panel. So I’ll leave links to the first article, the second article and, of course this is kind of the third article, but it’s also a bit more discussion on this topic to discuss, especially the conversation with DNS filter, so before we dive into that.

Let’s first, if you like to learn more about me and my company head over to lawrence systems comm, if you’d like to hire short project, there’s a higher spun right at the top. If you want to support this blog in other ways, there’s affiliate links down below to get you deals and discounts on products and services. We talked about on this blog, including a link to our patreon. If you like become a patreon supporter, we also have a swag store where you can get shirts and other items that are for sale and that changes from time to time what’s available and what’s not so go ahead and check that out frequently and finally, our forums.

If you’d like to have a more in-depth discussion about this article, suggestions for new articles or just reach out, say hi and talk tech, our forums are a great place for that all right. Now, back to the content, we’ll start here with a response to Tom Lawrence’s, DNS mail, we’re filtering comparison, and then you’ve talked about the article what’s right, with the test, what’s wrong with the test and about how they reach higher threat feeds.

This is really important because you don’t want a bunch of false positives, especially when you’re paying for the service. So finding a good feeds is honestly harder. They are a lot out there, both paid free feeds and a lot of them are not updated anymore, as evidenced by the feat. So they went through and started digging around in the feets, which is also they reached out to sands, and this is the posts right from that sands.

This is the website what it looks like now. This is the one I used in my article, and here is the response they have about Peter, sending them a message and saying yeah. This feeds really old and long and retained. Now this is a bigger issue, because actually a lot of these lists are no longer maintained on even the ones that things like pie, hole and PF blocker. I was digging around and realizing some of these lists haven’t up and updated in a long time and when, in the context of the testing I was doing, we’ve specifically are talking about malware.

That is a huge challenge, because malware is not like blocking some type of sync hold ads where the ad sites may not. Change is often the mail where your sites are changing extremely dynamically, which is one of the reasons I chose as a test, because it’s ultimately, what we want is blocking malware and blocking malware is just not an easy task, so they break down some of the discussion. How they look at things, how they looking get rid of false positives? I think this is worth your time to go through and read this up, so I’ll leave a link to this down below I tweeted it out earlier today and, like I said they have everything on here.

So absolutely this is a good read now related to. That is people that keep looking for some absolute decisiveness on this and in terms of all the paid services out there, because we’re not a user, we’re not directly paying DNS filter and I’m not paying Cisco umbrella for services. I can’t give you a really solid overall use case, I’m still researching and still digging into other methodologies. Well, those methodologies was, I signed up for the free feeds from alienvault and they referred to them as their pulse and they have like active malware threats and indicators are compromised, and this is also a discussion ongoing in my forum and I had spot-checked a few of These with DNS filter with Cisco umbrella – and I have my comments in there short answer – is certain number of threat feeds, and I think I have one of them.

I posted I didn’t want to just fill my forms up a lot of these links, but one of my posted some sites – sinkhole them some didn’t dns filter – did sinkhole it. Quad 19 called it at that time. When I was doing the test, the Cisco umbrella and the CloudFlare filtered, neither one of those actually filtered that address that was then it’s one of those things it’s about who’s, ingesting what feeds went.

So I will say overall, though, when you’re looking at the free side, not the paid services but the free side which in narrow scope when you’re trance that those up quad 9 clearly for all the free ones out there really ahead of it. I know everyone else is going to clamor on and asked me to test their filtering system, all the codes public. I don’t have time to run all these tests, but this is why I make all the code and everything’s public it’s in the write up and you can find that in the forum link down below so take the time to read that response from DNS filter is Good, it’s concise, take your time to look at quad 9.

If you’re going, I just want a free service to drop in and set up at my mom’s house, my dad’s house or whatever friends you want just for some basic filtering for home. I’r going to save you that quad nines are probably one of the best ones out there in terms of free services, but let’s take that word free and look at it. Real quick – and I want to mention that I said free service, but they do have a donate button because they literally run a nonprofit organization that cares about privacy, which means, without selling your data.

You can’t get that free service where you’re the product. This is a run by donations, type of free service, so, as we all know, nothing’s really free. If you can take the time and I’ll throw a little money at them myself that you have a donate button up at the top for quad 9. I also want to thank them greatly for constantly posting. The forum’s they’ve been really helpful, as well as DNS filter. Both of those companies have engaged with the community, which also that shows me they care about their product a lot both the free service, quad, nine and DNS filter like DNS filter.

Having the you know, chief tech guy reach out to me and have a good conversation, while they’re cofounders great conversation, taking the time to write a nice, well-written, blog post with links and thoughts on it. That’s what I like to see this is the type of community engagement that well makes me happy and shows if you care about your product, you, you know care about your users of that product, not just from a marketing standpoint, but they actually want to make the Internet better, which is also a pretty awesome goal, so go ahead and follow.

If you want to read back up on there and the last thing I’m going to comment on, because this is both in the comments on YouTube. People who reached out to me for messages and people who posted this in my forums know you just don’t use all of them. That seems to come up where people go. Can I just use some of all of them? You get the best of all the worlds. That’s exactly the opposite, you’re only as good as your worst resolver, and let me explain why and it kind of depends on your DNS system.

But if you have more than one DNS, if one resolver fails as in let’s say, we have a website, that’s blocked and that resolver fails because it was malware and quad nine blocked it, and you have the next one down in there and it does resolve it. You didn’t block an email where, so you want to pick one that works and, like I said undecided of free services, quad nine, just a simple easy drop for nine s in there and way you go.

They’ve got easy write-ups on how to set up in a lot of different situations for the paid services, Cisco umbrella. It seems to work. I do like the interface better if you just want me to offer, at my opinion, on DNS filter and, of course you know them and having the chief tech guy. That says something reach out, and maybe we’ll have a conversation later that we’ll do a YouTube article about about their product, their products, pretty cool.

We talked about some of the technologies they use. I not at liberty to discuss all of it, not that it’s you know real secret sauce here, but it’s just you know some of the stuff they doing is pretty cool um. I would roulette. I don’t want to try to put any words in your mouth and maybe they can talk about it because most of all, you can just learn from their website I’ll talk about what they do, but as they reel some more products, I may have some more conversations Ongoing with them, because they seem to be pretty slick and very reached out there, I mean companies that take the time to write these blog posts, there’s other companies.

I’ve talked about before that. I appreciate that take the time. These are often products we end up using. So you take the time to really do some community engagement and generally get out there. So go ahead and take time to read their write-up over a Dinah’s filter, great people over there and the forums are still open with more discussion on there, and I think a lot of people are getting. It is actually what makes me really happy.

I’r kind of understanding that one it’s very challenging and two there are some solutions out there that definitely we’re checking out and if you’re, just looking for that free service that you put to all your friends and you have a few extra dollars, throw some money at Those quad nine folks because doing some good work there and without a way to monetize your existence like a lot of other companies, do or an actual chart for charge business model.

They do rely on donations, so shout out to them too thanks and thank you for making it to the end of the article. If you like this article, please give it a thumbs up. If you like, to see more content for the blog hit the subscribe button and hit the bell icon, if you like youtube to notify you, when new articles come out, if you’d like to hire us head over to lawrence systems, comm fill out our contact page and Let us know what we can help you with and what projects you like us to work together on.

If you want to carry on the discussion, hetero to forum style or insistence calm or we can carry on the discussion about this article, other articles or other tech topics and general, even suggestions for new articles, they’re accepted right there on our forums, which are free. Also, if you’d like to help the blog on other ways head over to our affiliate page, we have a lot of great tech offers for you and once again, thanks for reading and see you next time,

Modernizing .NET Desktop Applications with .NET Core

Thank you for reading this session. My name is olya garish, I’m program manager on dotnet team working on desktop, and today we will talk about modernizing your dotnet desktop applications with dotnet core 3, but first there are many different ways you can modernize or upgrade your applications. It’s not only about how your application looks. It’s also about how it works. How performant it is, what device or platform API is.

It is using. How do you do dev ops? How do you deploy and distribute your application, and this year has been truly amazing year for dotnet desktop, because we got innovations in all of those areas and we don’t talk about all new features available for your desk desktop applications throughout the old dotnet conference. In this talk, we will focus on how you can update your apps with dotnet query 3.

0 and on the day 3. You will have another session by my Cruise’s about more advanced scenarios on porting to dotnet core your WPF applications. How to make your application look modern. How to integrate your application with devices and platform, everything about some old tools and zamel islands will be covered by Dimitri in his talk tomorrow and everything related to dev ops, MSI, X, up Center, so how to capture analytics and diagnostics, how to deploy and distribute your Application you will learn from the talk by daniel and make right after this session so keep tuned, and let’s move to the agenda of this talk first, I would like to start with.

Why should you care about dotnet court for desktop and what to choose that net core or does net framework for your desktop applications? Then I will talk about how you can port your framework application to dotnet core. If you decide so and how to fix porting issues, and then I would like to show you the dotnet desktop tooling, it’s zamel and WinForms designers. So, let’s start, why should you care about the net coiffeur desktop? Well, there are many good reasons, but the most important is because dotnet core is the future of dotnet.

As you probably heard from the keynote dotnet core is a platform that will receive feature updates in the future and in the next year we will release dotnet 5 in November 2020, which will be the next iteration on dotnet court. So by porting, your application to dotnet queer now you’re preparing your app for dotnet 5 to switch from dotnet core to dotnet 5 will be as easy as upgrading it to the next version of the platform.

And if you want your application to incorporate all the new things that will come in future, you want to be on that net core. That is what you should keep in mind when you think about future, but even today there are many great donate core specific things available that are not possible for dotnet framework application. We also talked about it at keynote, so I’ll, just briefly wisdom. Here, it’s a side-by-side deployment of different versions, of.

Net core on the same machine for dotnet framework. You could have only one version and every time you want to switch to the later version of the net framework you had to update it, an application that will run on that machine will have a dependency of that update for developers developers. It usually means that you have to make a company-wide decision run by IT, department which results in delays with dotnet core.

You can update at your own pace because you can have many different versions: of.Net core on the same machine, and you can specify in your application Beach version of.Net core. You would like to target. You can go even further and you can package your dotnet core application with dotnet core platform itself, so you can distribute to your client self-contained application, which will be completely independent on the environment.

It will run on. Another great feature is a single file executable where you can package your application and dotnet core framework in just one big, zip file and a new feature of dotnet core 3 will allow you to trim out assemblies from the network that are not required for your application. So that way, your single exe file will have much smaller size and there are many other great features that you can read about and in future we will receive any moment even more.

So usually I get the question ok. Does that mean I need to port all my existing dotnet framework applications to dotnet core or how do I decide and our advice is usually starting new applications on dotnet core, but if you have a completed apps that are in maintenance mode, only all development is finished. You don’t want to touch that code again, it’s completely fine to leave it on dotnet framework.

In fact we are leaving one of our applications on dotnet framework ourselves. Maybe you have heard of Visual Studio, so doesn” t framework will be fully supported. It will receive all required and security updates. It’s totally fine to leave your apps under the framework. But if your application is an active development and you keep changing the code and you want to benefit from new features that are available on the in.

Net core, you can consider port in your app from dotnet framework to dotnet core, so evaluate how much work. That is what are benefits you will get from dotnet core that are important for your particular case and make the call next question that usually comes up tin. Might how much work is it to port from the core to.Net standard or in other words, how compatible is my app with dotnet core well to find out use pert ability, analyzer? This tool will tell you about all api’s in your code that are not supported with dotnet core 3.

If you have any of those, and it will help you to refactor to find areas that you will need to refactor it to be dotnet core compatible with that. Let me go ahead and show you that pert ability analyzer in action, but first let me show you the application, I’m going to be porting today. So this is a WPF application that it’s called Photo Store. It will allow you to make online purchases of printing goods.

Alright and let’s put this application, run portability analyzer and see if this app is compatible with dotnet cord. So I’m going to specify the path to my project and I will run I will click button analyze. What this analyzer does. It looks at the references in your assemblies and it checks if all api’s that you are using from dotnet framework are present in dotnet core. So, as a result, we will get a pert ability report where, in the first column, you have assembly names, then target framework that they are targeting right now and then how compared compatible.

They are with dotnet court, so hundred-percent compatibility means you’re good to go. If you have less than 100, it means that those assemblies have some api’s that are not fully supported in dotnet core and to learn more details. You can go to details tab and here you will see target type target member assembly where this API is used and so on, but before diving into details tab. I would encourage you to take a closer look at the first tab and actually see what assemblies are not compatible, so, in my case, the lines that have less than 100 % compatibility.

These are not actually my code. This are Newtons of JSON nougat packages that I’m using in my code, so I don’t need to update their api’s right. All that I need to do is to check that the author of the package provides the version that supports dotnet, core or dotnet standard. To do that, you can go on you, get dot, work and just see if it supports dotnet core. I know for sure that Newton solo, JSON supports, does not standard at one point.

That means it automatically support dotnet course. So I’m good to go so again. I don’t need to worry about any of this and everything else is 100 % compatible, so I can go ahead and port my application to dotnet core. Let’s talk about porting, no porting from framework to core is simply updating the value of the target framework parameter in your project file. But if you created your application on dotnet framework – and you did not touch your project file since then, it will have the old-style project file so before updating this value, you first need to migrate to the new, so called is the key style project file.

Let me show you what is old project file? Let’s go back to visual studio and I’m going to unload my project. Then I will click Edit Photo Store, and here we can see a very large XML file right and this, oh, my gosh, so big, and this XML file also has parameters like project GUI like project types, good and etc. That all tells me that this is old project file and before a port in to.Net Court, I will need to update my project file to the latest SDK style, and there are ways how you can pour it to dotnet core manually.

These are the steps how you do it first thing: you search for package, dot config in your solution. If you have this file, you will need to right click and choose migrate packages that config to package reference. Let me show that in Visual Studio I will reload the project, and here I see packages that config. That is where we used to store references to the packages for the old-style project file for the new one they are stored in the project file itself.

So to not lose them, you will need to do right. Click migrate package that config to package reference. Then next step is update. Content of your project file with the new SD key format and the easiest way to do it is to create a blank application target in dotnet core. If you are porting VIN forms of then creative informs targeting dotnet core. If you’re porting WP up then WPF open the project file copy everything from it and paste it in your current project file, but make sure you have the copy of the old project file, because you will need that as well.

It will need that you get all references and resources from your old project file to the new one, so everything related to package reference project, reference, content, resources and so on should be moved to the new project file. Well, it seems like a lot of work and we’ve been constantly asked to please try and automate at least some common steps for all API. So, of course, every application is different and it’s almost impossible to create a silver bullet that will work for everything, but at least we can try to automate most cases and we did that and we created a tool called try can work so what it will do It will try to convert your old project file to the new SDK style project file and it will update the version to the net core 3.

0 to use it. I’r going to just type in the console, try converting Z and as a parameter, I will send the path to my project file. Let’s see okay conversion complete, let’s go back to visual studio, I’m going to reload the files and now, if I right click on properties and go here, I can see that target framework is dotnet core 3. So the tool worked and we successfully converted our dotnet framework application to dotnet core in just a few clicks.

Let’s now run our application and see how that looks so it is low. It looks and feels the same, but right now it’s Runyon on top of dotnet core, instead of doesn’t framework, which means that we can benefit from all the dotnet core features. Okay, I’m going to go back to my slides and this is try convert if you got any pretty bility errors. So if, after porting to donate core, you are getting an error that some assembler is missing, but your part ability report was 100 % compatible was completely green.

That means you can easily fix those errors by just 18. You get package, Microsoft, Windows, dot, compatibility. That package has 21,000 api’s; some of them are Windows only and some of them are cross-platform, and these are areas that those api’s are related to. So with that, I would like to talk about tooling for desktop and let’s go back to my application as you remember that it’s WPF application and we just ported it to doesn’t course.

So if I open Windows, main windows, the demo, you can see the designer and this demo designer it looks very similar to the traditional dotnet framework designer. In fact, you barely can see any differences, but it runs outside of the process. It means that the surface of the designer talks to visual studio, it’s they communicate between two different processes, and it was not very easy for us to implement that so zamel designer is already available in Visual Studio and you can use it.

You can go ahead and port your applications to dotnet quark and try that amazing. As for WinForms designer, we started working on WinForms later than ensemble designer, and it was a huge technical effort for us to really tag the way. How designers surface will talk to the visual studio process so we’re in very early days and today I’m very happy to announce that we are releasing the first preview version of windows forms designer it’s available at this link.

It’s a via visix package and it’s not included in Visual Studio just yet, because it’s still very early days for it and what this first version has. It has a coverage for common controls and base operations, and we will be adding functionality. We will be released. Releasing you preview versions every month. Next one is coming early November and just to let you know, this version is our first start.

So it’s not yet ideal to port your existing applications. It will be good for prototyping and write in hello world with basic common controls. Basically, to see the progress and to give us early feedback, but for your production applications wait till the designer gets more mature and we will definitely let you know when it’s a good time to port your apps to.Net core. So please give us feedback. We’re visual studio blog and let me show you how they win forms designer look, so I’m going to close this and I will create a new VIN forms, application targeting dotnet core search for event forms here and when I click on form one dot CS.

I can see the new VIN forms designer, so when we look at the toolbox, these are the controls that are supported in the first preview version, of course, by the GA of WinForms designer. We will be at functional parity with the traditional framework designer. So all controls will be there and you will have a seamless experience of port in your apps to.Net core right now, it’s just those guys. So we have button check, box, check, clicks, etc.

We can add the controls the same way. We can interact with properties. We can change name and so on. I know that I’m not showing you guys anything new, but because you’ve seen that designer for many many years. But the amazing thing about this designer is that it runs outside of the process and it allows you to build dotnet core applications. So let me run that you, you and we visit the regular VIN forms form right, so that was everything I had for today.

Thank you very much for reading. Please give us your feedback, it’s very important for us to know that we’re developing the right thing for you and you can reach me out on Twitter. Thank you for reading.

NATO: How NATO Works

A range of international counterterrorism operations was the first time that NATO military assets have been deployed as a collective response to an external threat.

Nato is a consensus decision-making organization, so the alliance cannot act if one of its member countries objects to a course of action being considered. The invocation of article 5 after 9/11 was perhaps the most famous consensus decision made by NATO on the flip side. For example, for many years, Greece blocked a NATO decision to let in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia until it changed its name to North Macedonia, which occurred in 2018 Alliance.

Funding is based on direct and indirect contributions. Direct contributions serve the interests of all member countries and fund NATO wide commands. Each members direct contribution is proportional and formulated using a common funding principle based on each Member States, gross national income using an agreed formula. However, the largest contributions are indirect, encompassing such things as members, voluntary provision of military forces and equipment to operations and the assignment of military personnel or diplomats to work at NATO itself.

The costs lie where they fall principle. The question of burden sharing in NATO has been debated for years, both during and since the Cold War. Some member countries perceive others as not allocating a sufficient amount of their government spending on defense. Following the Russian seizure of Crimea in 2014, the NATO allies pledged at the Wales summit to move towards spending 2 percent of GDP on defense by 2024, with 20 percent of that to be spent on major equipment.

Nato comprises various formal bodies that are responsible for different aspects of decision-making and the provision of advice to decision-makers. The North Atlantic Council is the principal political decision-making body in NATO, taking final decisions as necessary on all issues. It meets at ambassadorial ministerial and head of state and government levels with weekly meetings or needed, for example, during periods of crisis.

The Secretary General of NATO is historically a European politician or diplomat and is supported by several other senior appointees, as shown in the table. All member countries maintain permanent delegations at NATO’s political headquarters in Brussels, led by an ambassador and which represent their governments in Alliance, consultation and decision-making. There are two principal committees in NATO in addition to the North Atlantic Council.

The military committee is NATO’s senior military authority and the primary source of military advice to NATO’s civilian decision-making bodies. The advice of the milchie committee is sought prior to any authorization of military action, and so it represents an essential link between the political decision-making process. On one hand and the military structures of NATO, on the other, the nuclear planning group acts as the Alliance’s scene, your body on issues related to nuclear forces.

Its discussions cover the safety, security and survivability of nuclear weapons, communications and information systems, deployment issues, nuclear arms control and proliferation. It has the same authority as the North Atlantic Council with regard to nuclear policy issues within NATO. Reporting committees are specialized agencies which provide advice to the North Atlantic Council and the nuclear planning group on specific topics.

The international staff provides advice, guidance and administrative support to the national delegations at NATO headquarters in order to help implement decisions taken at different committee levels. Dialogue councils are the institutions of cooperation, partnership and dialogue that underpin relations between NATO and other countries, later centers of excellence, our NATO accredited, independent international military organizations that train and educate leaders and specialists from NATO, member and partner countries.

Notable examples include the strategic communication center of excellence in Riga, Latvia, the NATO cooperative cyber defence centre of excellence in Tallinn, Estonia and the defence against terrorism Center of Excellence in Ankara. Turkey, NATO committee structures are reviewed periodically to keep pace with priorities and to make their lines more efficient and responsive. There have been three major committee restructures since 1949 in 1990, after the end of the Cold War in 2002, after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and, more recently in 2010, to help the Alliance respond more effectively to security challenges and to adopt more integrated, flexible working procedures.

In summary, their NATO is a consensus based decision-making organization. The North Atlantic Council is the Alliance’s principle political decision-making body and is supported by the military committee. When decisions relate to military issues. The nuclear planning group is the senior body on nuclear issues and has the same authority as the North Atlantic Council on nuclear questions. Nato is funded through both direct and indirect funding contributions.

In 2014, the member countries pledged to spend 2 percent of their GDP on defense by 2024. You

How to Use Twitter for Your Online Business

Let’s jump in. I hear a lot from different businesses that Twitter is dead. It’s irrelevant! Why? Why should we be on Twitter? Give me what are some Pros to using Twitter, So I hear that all the time too, and it’s absolutely not the case – It’s on the rise popularity is growing and Twitter is really Unique in that, the real time that it embraces is What makes it so special So should all businesses Use Twitter or should some Are there certain use cases where you probably should avoid it? I’r a big fan, I’m a huge advocate of using all three Platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram because they Work better together, Okay, But the thing about Twitter is and some view this as a Con is the algorithm So you’re not going to just see things in a chronological order.

Okay, So to keep your content Actually, coming up and being found, you wan na make sure that you have quality Content, not quantity, You don’t need to be Tweeting on steroids, Mass, producing content right. You wan na make sure that you’re giving something of value to your audience. What’s kind of the first Steps once I sign up What should I really look at So first steps. You definitely wan na start following like-minded users, Okay, And that can also help you to get in front of their followers, which will give you a really organic presence And then also go and engage.

With other users on Twitter, You know go and click retweet on something that makes sense to your business. That would also be of Value to your followers, So what about my profile? I know there’s some things that I should probably do just To make sure it’s consistent, What does that look like With your profile, you wan na Make sure that you have usually do you have a logo Yeah Yeah, so you wan na put Your logo out on your Twitter and definitely make sure Your handle is consistent, So that’s a at symbol and then the name of your business preferably Make sure that’s consistent across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

‘Cause. After all, you’re Branding yourself Right And then from there you Have a little bio description right beneath the photo and your handle Cool. So one of my just absolute favorite topics ever are hashtags Hashtag. I did it all. For the cookies right Tell us about kind of the Best practices using hashtags Like should we just go On a hashtag tangent, are there best practices What should we avoid? Give us a low down? Yes, so definitely real it in don’t need to go hashtag crazy, Okay, But I also love hashtags.

It’s a great way to get more exposure, They’re free to use, and it can help you to be found by someone who Doesn’t even know you exist Also, including an actual Caption that you’re writing it’s one of my favorite things to do when I’m traveling the country – And let’s say I did this Seminar right on social media – and I got a cool picture me – At the microphone feeling [ Justin ], I can see it now Feeling pretty cool at a trade show, and so I wan na, like get That out to my audience – and I caption it like “ Having a blast sharing # socialmediatips.

”. So then, it’s in my caption and then now, if anyone’s searching in the area or social media tips in general, [, Justin ] Right, I have a chance to be discovered, Seems more natural, Right than just having it at the very end make it Part of the conversation Exactly make it part of the caption, But do both by all means. Okay, You can get real localized with it. [ Justin, ], Really Yeah. So when I travel Like, for example, I was in Austin recently, I just wanted to know where’s a good place to Eat or get a craft beer, You know it’s a big thing in Austin, So I would just search # austineats and from there I found Out what tourists locals where they were going to get food and then that helped me make my buying decision So think about it as a Small business owner: how does this relate to you? Well, consumers are out There searching hashtags Right When they’re looking For a product, a service, a cup of Joe And then so, if you have these hashtags on your Posts you’re more likely to be found when someone’s Searching coffee, Perfect and what I would say, To you, when searching that joining in on the conversation With those hashtags that are relevant to what you’re searching and that’s what’s more Important about Twitter right Is talking to people and being social, social media for a reason, Yeah exactly it’s a two way street.

That’s the beauty of it Right, You’re, not just talking At your customers, anymore, you’re engaging with Them it’s a conversation and, at the end of the day, that’s what’s going to make your presence more powerful. If you have This two way conversation Right on. I dig it So next up, we have Really paid advertising.’Cause. I know I’ve seen Some paid promotions on Twitter every now and then Is there any relevance to that.

Should we test it out? What are your thoughts, I always say, start small and be sure you’re paying attention to the metrics, Otherwise you’re just blindly Spending money right At the end of the Month, you’re like wait: where did my money go? You’re like well Yeah, so just start small, So Emma so we’re Tweeting a lot we’re searching hashtags we’re using hashtags. How do we know if what we’re doing is Working and relevant Is there any place to go in And check what we’re doing There absolutely is a way to track Twitter.

Has this account dashboard that you can actually see even what time of day people are looking at your Tweets, which could really be informative? You know I used to work at a coffee shop and what we found is there Was certain times of the day that made sense to Tweet To get people to come in Right, Coffee, early risers, You can Tweet something at 5Am about what you have on what your drip coffee is or Your special foam on your lattes and that made sense you know And then so thinking About the time of day, looking at your Twitter Analytics to see what works best Yeah, But also the top Tweet Is really informative? What do yo mean by that? Like the Tweet, that Got the most impression, the most engagement, That’s going to help inform the Next Tweet and your strategy – Okay, Oh also the retweet.

If I’m getting a lot, Of retweets from users I know, oh they liked that you know They wan na tell their friends Yeah like I should include more photos of me skateboarding That got way more retweets and then that informs my next Tweet. So there’s two different Types of retweets, if you will There’s retweet and there’s a quote: Tweet Yeah. So while it’s fast and efficient to simply click retweet, You know back to the million Things you were doing Right.

We found it to be more beneficial. To quote, add your own caption.’Cause, then you’re, adding Your personal flair to it and you’re really explaining the relevance of that Tweet too. Why are you retweeting it Sometimes. I feel like I’m Spending all day on Twitter Is there a way for me. To not have to do that Like can. I just go and Do it just once a day’cause I have scheduled Things help me out here: I don’t wan na spend all Day on social media, I’ve got a business to run Absolutely so there Are ways to outsource [ Justin, ]? Okay, If you don’t wan na, do this Godaddy Social (, laughs, ): There are teams that can Take this off your plate, but if it’s something You wan na do on your own.

You wan na be beneficial with your time, So I strongly strongly Encourage a content calendar Okay! What’s that That what you get a Calendar a blank calendar, and you just plan out couple days of week that you wan na Tweet and Do it months in advance, so then you don’t miss piggy. Backing off of a holiday, Even unofficial, holidays, Like national hotdog day, There’s literally a random Holiday for every day, Yeah, and not all of them, are going to make sense to your business Right.

But if they do you Can really piggy back off of that with Twitter, but the Content calendar is going to be key to help you plan out in advance, So you’re not rushing And scrambling, like I haven’t, been on Twitter for a few days. I just need to go out there and Tweet. No One tool that I found. That is, pretty cool is Tweet Deck. Have you checked that out? No, I haven’t So Tweet Deck. Actually, let’s you it’s inside of Twitter Itself, but it let’s, you schedule out your own Tweets.

So that you don’t have to have to go in every day and post, You can literally take some Time or chunk out of your Monday and schedule out your content calendar, and it will just spin it for you, Yeah and I would just be Cautious with that, though, because while that’s Maybe a good way for you to manage your time. Rather, you wan na make sure that those times of day are Working for your consumers,.

‘Cause, that’s the key! You Want your Tweet to connect with your consumer at The most optimal time All right, thank you so much Emma. This has jut been a blast. I’r going to invest in Twitter now, Like it’s changed my life, so thank you. Hashtag life changing Hashtag life, changing (, laughs, ), Awesome! Well! Thank you. All so much for reading This has been The Journey. Make sure you, like Subscribe comment below, Let us know your thoughts and let us know what you wan na see next And thank you for reading.
