How Long Should Music Promotion Be?

Com, because I saw it myself and, as a matter of fact, this article right here was inspired by a conversation I had in brandman network.Com a Few days ago, hey it was just a few people. It was like five artists and, like a manager, was chopping it up having a conversation right and this artist expressed that she didn’t like the fact that she could drop something and then just like a week or so later, people forget about it completely.

I don’t even know it existed or they’re just done. They moved on to the next thing and then I made me ask her: how long do you promo? I just thought about. Okay, how long do you push your stuff and then you know she answered and then I started to hear other people talk, and I really came to the conclusion that you know what a lot of people that I hear they don’t push. They don’t do their campaign as long enough, so how long enough is a good campaign? How long should you be working to push us your stuff? Well I’ll tell you this me personally, a lot of things, whether it’s my festivals, when I first started that when I was a little certain artists, just a lot of things, I do like three or four months, three or four months I’ll, just keep it at that Straight simple, three to four months, is how long I push things when I’m pushing out of security out of obscurity, and that means unknown to known and getting people to convert right, unknown to known and getting to people to version each of those are phases.

So you have to keep pushing because when people see something one time, that’s probably not the time that they’re really going to soak it in or check it out. I see articles by artists. They drop articles that I know, and I actually like that. I don’t even read the first time I see them when I’m like scrolling through YouTube’s, and things like that cuz. I might be on for a different reason. So you have to keep that in mind because alright, so I’m going to break a few things out.

This articles off the fly, but I want to make sure you get everything you can at least from this article in terms of doing it for three months, all right. First, the way I even learned this was like a harsh personal experience, probably like seven years ago. Now I don’t know but um I did a panel. I actually talked about this a blog, but I did a panel so I’ll keep it short. Three people who want to panel three CEOs were on the panel and yeah.

Four people showed up to the event three people in the panel and, like some legit CEOs were on the panel on within in tech industry, mostly so I’m music, but four people showed up three of those people that showed up. Quote-Unquote was me and two people who are helping me me and two people that were helping me that third one was a, I mean the fourth one was a guy will just randomly walking by. I was like yo.

What’s going on, oh snap, this is dope. I’m going to get in so why was that for me? First of all, I didn’t put enough effort into marketing that particular event. This is where I go by the 10x rule that Grant Cardone talks about so much. So it’s a great book or just hearing him talk about that concept. For y’all we don’t know, but the rule is basically most of the things like it’s not this whole inspirational thing.

Yeah you want to 10x your life, that’s cool, but the the the part that I love it. The meat of it is most of the things that you’re trying to achieve are going to likely take 10x. The effort that you think it’s going to take. Why? Because you actually don’t know how much effort is going to take so you’re planning and say I’m going to do this this and this, but you haven’t done it before so you don’t know how the effort that it actually takes all right, so kind of plan.

For that and the reason that event you know I had some successful events a couple of days before in a couple days afterwards, which was a second lesson for me personally, but because I did have some except successful events. I was actually surprised to have like one of my first huge, huge failures, but part of that was because of resources right trying. That’s what I talked about focusing in on, where you want to put people’s attention to and where I learned that personally, because I had 300 people show up to this one thing: hey 120 people show up to this other thing, and then I had four people show Up to this other thing that I would have preferred most of the people show up to that like for real for real, so, but I didn’t have the resources to market that, like, oh, okay, I didn’t have the resources to market all three well right, so you Have to be able to understand the resources that you have at the moment to to you know, determine what you’re going to direct people’s attention to that’s another thing now, when we talk about this three months situation, everybody doesn’t have the resources to do it three months, Because we need the consistent, real legitimate push happening for three months.

So if you cannot start with like three months – and this is just this is just a number of course – it will vary. I so don’t start saying hey. I did this in one month and got these results, and I did it took me really six months. Of course results may vary, but three months is really a good time if you can start thinking and planning. But if you cannot do three months, whatever you have going on right now, I mean typically going to week pushes then you need to start thinking about.

How do I do three and four week pushes all right and now let me see if I could try to extend it to two months and then continue to grow your plan. That way, because maybe you can’t wait till you have a lot of money every single time like maybe only you’re going to take you’ll only be able to do it like once a year. If that’s your situation, I don’t know what the situation is, but what I can say if a lot of artists will find themselves in better positions a lot of times, especially when you’re, like no connections you’re in your room.

You’re is really just you. You’ll find yourself in a better position. Is if you take time you strategize you build up your resources, you get your catalog, you get you all your promo together, you get like all the money. You know you save a lot of money for the budget right, you don’t just! Oh I’m going to throw out $ 50 here and throw out $ 50 here, like that. That’s cool with your testing. But when we’re talking about your campaign and trying to build to actually make sure things get like traction, then you’re better off saving all that money and then being intentional about where you spend it.

To make sure you can add that to the push to the push to the push and you keep pushing that track throughout your campaign or keep pushing whatever that content is throughout your campaign and honestly, I mean regularly it’ll still do this right, so it’s not really Just a if you don’t have a resources is really the best way to go about it: okay, you’re trying to create a groundswell and a what’s the word, a buzz there.

We go a buzz it’s because all a lot of energy in a concentrated area right is going to have a greater impact. Let’s keep it at that. So please consider lifting your campaign. I don’t care. If it just means you can only do it two more weeks and usual, and maybe that’s going to make you think differently as well. It should because now you have to get creative well. What can I do to do a little bit of this or to keep things going? If I don’t have the money to bring four or maybe I need to wait an extra two months before I even drop this project because who’s waiting on the project most likely like, especially if you’re starting from nowhere right, nobody’s waiting on the project.

It’s only Hubie Nancy about getting it out. That’s why patience right is a huge thing we hear so many people talk about patience and mindset and all that stuff and patience, patience, patience. Well, it’s a real thing. If you talk about executing correctly, because this plan and extending the plan and making sure you put the right amount of effort, energy into the plan is literally that’s that’s the part where people win.

So many people have information and right read these reading these articles and things like that, but the execution is where it’s all one at the end of the day, that’s just what it is so I’ll leave this article that once again this was on the fly. I don’t want to add too much other information and random stuff, maybe we’ll get in deeper to some of that type, some of that strategy and planning in another article but uh yeah other than that.

Once again, this article is brought to you by brain man, network.Com cuz. I signed myself if you like this article, go ahead like better, maybe like in my school shared, not subscribed, you know what to do. Get-Get subscribe,

Long Form Content and Why You Need It!

Now those of you who are new to the blog, I’m a digital marketer. I specialize in helping artists, like yourself, get their songs heard through platforms like Spotify, like Instagram, like YouTube and a bunch of others. Now what I want to talk with you guys about today, is why you? Yes, you should be incorporating long-form content into your content.

Marketing strategies now long-form content is pretty much anything. That’s about 10 minutes or longer. I like to paint because of how short people’s attention spans are today that even seven minutes plus can be considered long-form content, but outside of that, I just want to give you guys. Some examples of what that would look like why it would benefit you to think of something to add into your game plan and just what types of growth and what types of relationships you can expect to build.

Your fans, through this long-form content, but before we’re getting all of that coming, follow me on Instagram. I made sure to put my name on the screen. Come talk to me. Come engage with me. You can’t give me some article ideas, all of that good stuff. Now, with that being said, let’s get right into it now, as marketers. I know we’re always on artists about their content and their content plans. Right, like you need more content, you need other posts on your Instagram, your YouTube, your Twitter.

You need stuff to pretty much. Keep people eyes on you, and one thing I often don’t see you get taken advantage enough from rising artist, is long-form content. Now, in the form of article, that’s usually content. That’s like I said earlier about 10 minutes or longer. I consider seven minutes. The longer could be long-form content just because people’s attention spans are short but we’ll get into why I consider that long-form a little bit later now, let’s get into the.

Why right the? Why of the long-form content? Why am I making you the artist who already has a million things to do figure out 10 minute plus articles to answer that YouTube, blog or Facebook whatever and the three wise or the three reasons? I want you to focus on our opportunity for fan, engagement and relationship, building our revenue and getting these platforms to reward you. So, let’s start with the opportunity for a fan, engagement and relationship building.

Now, I’m one of the things that you guys look into as you’re going out, it’s trying to figure out how to convey a message to your fans so that you can build your brand effectively right, because that is what brand building is. It is getting your message across to your target audience over and over and over to the point of they start to know and believe it and just like they. They know you’re a brand as soon as they look at you and one of the best ways to do this is through content.

That gives you time to express this message. You can’t often get your point across in a three-minute song. You can’t always get your point across in a minute article clip on Instagram, but when you give yourself time to talk these things out or time to kind of relate these messages a little bit more fluently. That gives you a better chance of building with your audience. On top of something where they have a lot more information to deal with you off of it, for example, there’s a producer right now who I pound on the article about by the name of Kenny beets.

He has a show on his youtube blog called the cave on the cave. He brings on different rappers and has them wrap over beat that he makes in like 10 minutes now. I was out of just the cloud that he gets from these artists. What’s really cool about Kenny Beeson show is that it gives him a chance to shop his personality. I’ve been a fan of Kimmy beats for at least two years like I remember his earlier work with ki and all that stuff, and I never knew he was funny until I started reading this show as I got through reading this show.

It allowed me to connect with him on a different level as a fan so well now I feel like. I know him a little bit more as a person as opposed to just another producer, and that is where the beauty of long-form content lies. It gives you a chance to build with your audience on a different level, how you do that is going to be a little bit up to your creativity and your resources, but just the fact that you are given an opportunity to do it helps in such a Tremendous way – and we are in a point where people will read this long-form content as long as it’s interesting enough, like you, would be surprised at things that people read on YouTube and on Facebook and on Instagram just because it’s there and just because it caught their Attention and that becomes a gateway point for you to start building them and selling them, among other things, that you’re doing now.

The second point that I want you to focus on is that these platforms, these social media platforms, will reward you for your long-form content. If it’s actually keeping people around and for 2 seconds, this example we’re going to focus on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube now on Instagram alone, I think the number is about 56 % of Instagram users come to Instagram for long-form content, and it’s actually up from previous years About like 26 %, something like that, you have to look the numbers up, don’t plug me directly on it now.

What’s interesting about Facebook and Instagram, specifically is a GTV right. Instagram has got to a point where algae TV is the new brainchild. It’s their new baby and they want it to do well. So you know what they’re doing they are actively rewarding people on Instagram who use IG TV with more reach. More engagement and faster growth speeds pretty much for the people who are using it right, which means you are at a point where, if you are figuring out your lawn fawn, constant strategy, you are playing around with algae TV.

You will get in on the ground. Work of it early and take advantage of them trying to push people out who are using it way before everyone else who’s going to jump on it once it’s already lit, because I look at it this way, people would joke on IG TV, but come on Facebook’s, Not going to let their idea die down, there got to keep it alive for as long as they possibly can, like. I said by rewarding people who are actively using it who are trying to make something of it, because that’s what they want to be the forefront of their product right now.

Now, very similarly, YouTube rewards users who have long read hours on their blog by pushing their content out through their algorithm. So they pretty much go hey you! You made really interesting content and you keep people on YouTube. We, like you, so we’re going to make sure thousands and thousands of people see your content and hopefully they’ll, spread it out and keep even more people on YouTube.

That’s how you to seize it. So the best way to get longer read hours on YouTube is to give your audience more content to read which it gets pretty hard to do with three minute: music articles or four minute lyric articles. So the best way to get around this is create a long-form content series that you can actively put out, through the blog, to increase your read time, to increase that engagement, to keep people on your blog, so that YouTube will reward you, and you can also take That same content put on your ID TV work that as well so that Instagram and Facebook rewards you, and I think Facebook has its own article platform, but you won’t even give in to that for it today.

I just want you guys to start thinking about putting out long-form content and thinking about deals on what that would look like for you, and the third reason on why I want you to consider making some type of long-form content is something I think a lot of You I want to hear that’s money more specifically at revenue, so pretty much when you make articles or certain links on YouTube and on Facebook they place as within your articles.

Now I don’t know if everyone knows this, but you get paid for those ads being around me. Your articles you get paid for when they get readed um. I think the rate comes out to be about three to five dollars per every, like thousand views or something thousand abuses on your blog you get paid for that. So the more long-form content you have on Facebook. You have on YouTube, I’m sure it’s coming to Instagram.

Eventually, because it’s on Facebook as well the more opportunity for pay that you bring yourself, meaning that your long-form content essentially becomes another source of revenue, for you becomes another way for you to put money into your pocket. To do the things that you need to do. A lot for just make an entertaining ten to fifteen minute articles that keep your fans on the blog fans that you were going to try to keep on your blog anyway, at least that’s how I look at it.

That’s that’s how I see this whole thing now, of course, like everything else, making long-form content does have its disadvantages, but the way I see it is there things that you’ll have to get over anyway. So there’s no better time to start practicing than now. One of those disadvantages is that more content means more of your time that is consumed and, if you’re, an artist who’s already doing a lot of things.

You’re writing your own music and making your own articles your handle your own marketing. I do understand that this can be taxing, so it may be something where you need to seek outside help to help you make long-form content, um, even the editing alone, or you know getting someone to help you with that side. Will save you a lot of time and help make it a little bit easier, so I suggest reaching out to a friend or looking for someone on something like Fiverr or something like that.

Just someone who can help offset some of that lobe and, secondly, is you will be battling people’s attention span, meaning that if it is not interesting, if it is not good, people will not read it, and some of your work will go in vain, but that doesn’t Mean that you shouldn’t seek to make long-form content, you should just seek to get better, get more, entertaining refine your craft or find your long-form content ideal and figure out how to get people more interested and more engaged in it, so that you can do all the Things that I just talked about – and I know I can already hear some of you guys but Cory – what are some long-form kind of saying ideas I can do.

I literally can’t think of anything and the ones that come off the top of my head, and you may be better than me. You may think of something more creative and more on brand for yourself than me, but I always suggest the people to look towards one podcast, which I have a article about that I mention to put the link in the description below um. You could do skits, you could do interviews. You could do analysis on your content, like how-to articles, for some of you producers and like articlegraphers.

You could always do like deep dives into your own music from, like your perspective or your friends perspective, but one of the easiest long fun contents that I think the artist can do is a vlog. Anyone can make a vlog. You can follow yourself around with your camera. You can get your friend to follow you around with his cell phone or his phone camera, and one of the points I always get from artists is that they feel, like their lives, aren’t interesting enough.

They feel like they can’t make vlogs and some things are lit and the one piece of advice I always get the people towards vlogs is that everyone thinks that life is boring. That is exactly why they will read your life, no matter what it is on internet because they want to escape their own troubles their own day-to-day by reading what you have going on and that all goes back to what Gaby cause documenting and people like seeing you Document the things that go in your life, people like seeing every process of your life, everything that you’re doing especially your fans, so definitely take advantage of it.

Now, for those of you who are already practicing your lawn for incontinent strategies, I love to hear about what you’re doing I was working out for you. So leave that in the comment section below for me and for those of you who haven’t started yet. I love to hear about any ideas that you may have if you’re comfortable with sharing them in the comment section, do it. If not, you can always come hit me up on Instagram or something we’ll talk it out now, as always guys, if you feel like you’re learning pain today, please like and share this article hit those post notifications as well as I wouldn’t want you guys to miss Anything once again, my name is Corey and I’ll.

See you next time.

Popular But WRONG Advice To Artist Promotion (Here’s Why)

Com, because I signed myself now I got ta say something man you’re going to read who you get your advice from, and I don’t mean this in. Even a negative way, but there’s a piece of advice that I’m seeing a lot more frequently lately and by lately, I kind of mean, maybe over the last four or five, maybe six months, and I think artists have to be able to take it.

With a grain of salt here, it is, and I’m going to put it into context. What is the advice singles are better to drop then albums or EPS. Now I understand where it’s coming from. We all know that in this era of music right singles are a huge driver of streams, especially when we consider consumer behavior. The way platforms are working, yada, yada, yada, yada yada, I get it, I get it. I get it and people are telling a lot of artists that yo, so you need to drop singles and one of the huge reasons I hear people talk about doing that.

So you don’t waste music and all those things, but at the end of the day, a lot of the people who are saying that are working for labels or have some experience with labels. Where a lot of the artists that they’re working with our labels and there’s nothing wrong with that, this advice is not incorrect advice. However, there’s a lot of context that is required, because an independent artist needs to move differently dinner artist at a label that should be implied.

That should be assumed. However, we forget to consider what perspective a lot of people are coming from when they give their advice. So let me just break it down from my personal perspective. Yes, when we’re talking about hacking out of the rhythms getting the most out of one song, just for your resources and doing things when it comes to the charts, then pushing a single is extremely beneficial and there’s some more reasons I could cite.

But those are just a few of them, but when you talk about an independent artist right, I always talk about the value of time and the value of a tension. So the thing is once you get people’s attention, we always talk about that catalog. That’s that we’ll! Never like not applies once you get people’s attention, you need to be able to hold that attention for as long as possible right you have that window, it’s time to sell.

How are you going to convince them? How are you going to close the deal? How much music will they be able to consume before they say? You know what you know this person isn’t for me, and maybe you only have a couple of songs. We already know where that’s going to go and for those of you who have seen me talk about the fact that you should drop singles and I do promote dropping singles as a strategy.

Here’s the clarity on what I’m referring to. Usually when I’m talking to artists and talking about hey, you know you should drop some singles for a while. It’s always around the idea of them getting better at marketing themselves. When I say focus on one song and now you’re building your systems around that song, you’re building your experience and ability to market, because a lot of these artists right, independent artists are actually doing their own marketing.

So that gives you an opportunity to not just waste and gives you the opportunity to learn. So I’m talking more about marketing singles one at a time versus marketing a project at a time, that’s a slight difference, but we do want to make sure that you’re building a catalog relatively quickly and the more quality music that you have when one of these songs. Finally, does take off the better off you will be now, of course, you might want to actually save some songs that you feel like should be hit hits because at the end of the day, you want to make sure those get certain amount of attention.

But if you record a hundred songs, you should have a solid. You know, let’s just say twenty, I’m going to throw a number out there right. You should have a solid twenty to forty good songs that are worth putting out versus maybe the five songs or the two songs that you think might be huge songs and I’m going to wait and hold these off right. There should be other music. That should be good enough to leave start building some band and again bringing it back to the beginning.

In this whole idea of just dropping singles just dropping singles, because it works better for the streaming gear and all that kind of stuff. That has nothing to do with the general artist, the independent upcoming artists, because they don’t have the resources to actually leverage that thing right. They don’t have the resources or even the care to be thinking about charting or a gaming. The streaming system, that’s far less important to an artist.

What you need to be focusing on is building a real fan base, especially if you want to move as an independent artist, not just until you get a deal but move as an independent artist like forever right or for a very long period of time. Until you find something that makes sense, you need to be thinking a lot more about what is going to get me, the most fans for the least amount of action versus how do I game this system and get certain things popping virally? So no, it’s not a lie: it’s not horrible advice and it’s not even coming from a bad place when people say just drop singles, but a lot of these people are thinking more so from a general industry perspective when you think from an indie perspective, especially a Loan in the artist perspective, oftentimes, a lot of things are counterintuitive to what those people have to move like at the labels to become successful.

They have a lot of factors that do not apply to you and vice versa. So as always, this article is brought to you by brain man network.Com, because I saw myself if you like this article go ahead. It like button B like he might as well share it. If you’re not subscribed, you know what to do. He dares subscribe. You

Best Strategy For Artists With NO Budget

That could be platform that you personally like to use this on a daily basis that this platform that you feel like we really be beneficial for you to just like you know, learn how to master and then really dive in to study how those platforms work. Look at how they crunching out you don’t sound like how what different types of things triggered an algorithm on these platforms.

What type of content moves them up the best on these platform like as far as like natively level? What content do you make before the platform at booth 3? Well, and then look at things like whether other different factors that affect the way content spreads out right, like Instagram is half size. You see with keywords and thumbnails all this shit dive into all of that shape for the platform that you want to, go it and then just get into the game of like content creation for a consistent concentration, because that’s something that you should be figuring out anyway.

We always have the big thing with our comforting life, so we can spend like thousands of dollars on you and ad dollars, but if you’re not doing shit business, I’ve been there situation with someone that a shit ton of money spent on Adler when doing anything all Right all these people are coming back to you, but you have anything like the constant bodies so, like I’m really big on even before you start to put money into yourself, figure out that content foundation that we’re talking about anyway pick your two platforms that you’re going To go hard on the exhaust, you saw she from Tommy content for these exhaustion.

Monetarily be my little pig to now really good. I should learn a game and I should dive into it and then once she mastered the consistency part like once you go like okay cool. I know that I can comfortably put out X amount of articles a month, these entire solarium pieces of content, and I see what is reacting and not reacting even with the small audience. I feel. If you do all these things right, you will get an audience.

It’ll be slow, but you really start to get audience then, once you get that down, that’s the point when I think you should start going like who let me spend money on those a lot you’ve already laid a foundation at that point is easy. It’s just putting leniency should their brain from people into the funnel right. So that’s what I’ve been doing on too much YouTube right now, just like one article a week, every Sunday just you’re starting to build it up, I think is definitely slow right now, but no I’m definitely sure if these are going to pick up this time.

It’s triggered by the actions of audience. So when you have no audience you just really going on for like cold, whatever the fuck, you put a special youtubers one, that’s like you choose hard. Cracking YouTube, really takes a lot of a lot of like consistent person. I read something, whereas I, the algorithm, doesn’t really start to fuck with you. That means you get close to like 100 poker. So I don’t know how accurate that number is.

But I know like all these platforms, pretty much like categorize you and they look for certain things that you do to live in Miller. Okay, this is a person, that’s actively Chomp growing platform, or this is the president just like cat. So the more of the ways as we played a game on the platforms away today, once you play the more Suze, they start to do your account and then go like okay who this person wants to grow on Instagram, but this person wants to grow on YouTube.

Now, let’s see if their content measures up to whatever par – let’s put it in there put it in front of a certain Google people see how they react to it and posted with it, and I go I for the best. You push them more of their content out. So, like that’s the game, you have to get into playing. If you don’t have any money like I said, I think you should get into the game before you start spending mind yourself anyway, once you get it down, the spinning money part becomes easy, and then, by that point you own the platform’s long enough.

That you know are, who are the influences, that move shit into space on satellite word accounts that move shit into space for the people that move shit into space? What type of content works best for these? Probably because you’ve been in them so much. I, like you, you’ve, been in that shit, so my school, that’s a lot of shit. We do just as marketers in general a lot of the ideas that we give. This come from our reverse engineering shit that we saw in the platform that we like, like I’m like, oh shit.

You know I saw this. I found this artist because I saw a beam on just one account like shit. What happened if I make them leave this place on down to start my eyes, the decide to figure out how the game is played, and then I used to play it to feel what you make and then once you get it out stock, your bread or get Your budget gives it going

How To Get Famous Doing Cover Songs On YouTube [7 Tips]

Before I get started. What are my people for those who are doubting? Yes, you can blow up and become big off of cover song. I have a legitimate career. I readed people from Nicky design to Tori Kelly, Andrea Chloe and Halle. I’m talking about. I love reading these people at the beginning.

As matter of fact, I was reading Justin Bieber on YouTube before he blew up back when everybody was saying. Why are you so talented you surf the world can’t wait. Til you blow I’m going yo girl, I’m your blog to the bathroom and I realized like. Do you suck? That’s not the point. Number one choose your quality. Yes, you can reporter, covering that you can do it. Mp3 playing and kind of lip sync or you can do a live unplugged.

You can do something in the studio. You can do just a raw straightforward in front of the camera singing and that, personally is my favorite, because it has that raw feeling and connections that allow people to feel like you not start, yes, you’re, just somebody in their room that I can root for it. I’m catching you before the world knows about you. That’s the biggest advantage of that one right. There number two consistency.

There’s no fancy way to say it to get attention over time to build a fanbase. You just have to stay consistent. You might not get you the initially, but eventually you’re, building up a catalog when people start to discover you and next thing you know they say. Oh my gosh. This person is amazing, so when you’re doing colors, don’t think about necessarily the first day the first week at the innovation plan to at least dedicate eight months, so you can give it that time to blow up and really start to feed and create his own loop Of audience generation and speaking of other generations, of course, you want to engage with the people who are engaging with you all people who are appreciating you think of them.

They have a quest, go with the request. It’s helpful to help you build a relationship with your fan base and puts. I hope that I didn’t put this on the list, whether your YouTube or Instagram YouTube. You should be doing full songs, probably for may be shortened to minute urgent and then on Instagram 15 to 30. Second clips will work better than doing a full minute number four new songs that are hot while there.

I the reason, because this is when there’s hot song, people are already searching for that song and it makes you more easy to find if I’m looking for bad news next thing, you know, I see it. Girl kills bed and Gucci color on the side of my screen, I didn’t like sleep on it, ketching popular songs and something that a lot of people use. So it’s not necessarily likely not going to have competition, and it’s so faster.

You can do that and turn around a new eyes on the bed. Five same songs that people don’t expect. You saying you know that high vary for different people. You think about people like Nikki heat. You have this writer who doing a lot of track or hard writing. Music covers of songs like the weekend baby job. It might be interesting for a little kid in singing being grown and will resolves that you get a lot of tension.

I’ll necessarily recommend it. But if you’re also being interesting for a wrong woman or a teenager or grown man or whatever to be doing these new renditions of nursery rhymes or if you were doing these slow, sexy renditions of television show lean song kind of like a Jamie Foxx Bill. Brady Bunch he made that for alma mater here’s, a celery who was bringing a three very lovely girls, all of them a hair of gold like their mother er, responding like a song off the TV make it sound good enough to make love, even if the song Was bringing the free burial of the girls all of their venerable Noctem, bother seeing us Waurika number six take fast on the slow down or take slow song.

This beat them up or putting more beat and punch tool. When you change up the arrangement, it helps. You stick out more and it helps people to disassociate with this person’s are singing the song. I even sounds good, so we have a nice voice. It helps them get captured in your talent as a whole, often times just nice to people ears. That’s why a lot of times when people take the bass version of a song and slow it down and do it cool, see people.

Obviously this person so much that it it’s a thing but look. He was covered and you’ll always see that somewhere, another s7 get creative. This could be the most important of all of them, especially if you’re failing to really start getting some directions. You might have to do something really creative, create some kind of series possibly or get somebody involved. I don’t know if you get another person involved and they’re beatboxing with you or you’re, just singing songs, to your dad or with your dad there and reading his reaction or maybe you’re, going to every Starbucks Embassy and singing outside each Starbucks and create a series out Of that somebody does that I swear eventually, if there’s not like vulgar, songs or kind of corporate friendly type songs, they’ll, probably get signed or Starbucks or probably do some kind of sponsorship for because it will be getting incision for Starbucks.

All in all, you just have to look for different ways to entertain people, in addition to your views, there’s so many ways to get creative. You have to figure that out for themselves. I remember this one guy who can sing. He was kind of like a comedian too. He would do these singing reactions to stuff if I could find them I’ll put them in not whatever, but anyway, that’s it hotel bill y’all. What to do is dead, subscribe, good,

How To Get More Streams On Spotify Daily Without Paying For Ads | Music Promotion

What’s up, my name is hit play if hit play, beats calm and my goal is to help provide rappers with the knowledge they’re going to need in order to turn their dreams into their careers. So if you’re, a serious rapper make sure you go ahead and hit that subscribe button down below and you click to notification bell to get notified every time.

I release a new article, also if you like, and the beats you hear in the background of this article, I have the direct links to each of those in the description below. So the reason I’m making this article is because I remembered it was like when I first started making music and having made something that I was so proud of that you know. I just wanted to get out into the world and I wanted to share with people and not having the budget or the means to get it out there and show people what I can do so I’ve been in that position before and I know what it’s like So I just wanted to give you some tips.

You can use to actually get some plays and some results – and you know, hopefully build a fan base based off of your music, that you’re promoting through Spotify. So the first method that we’re going to talk about is actually going to be repost trading or promotion trading. So the way that I would recommend you do this is actually go to Facebook and join some Facebook groups with similar artists that make the similar style of music to you.

So as an example, you can join a trap, rap or only Facebook group and find other artists that make the same style of trap music to you right. So you can either go through there and DM those artists and try to build a connection with them and see if you can trade promotion with them. So basically saying hey I’ll, promote your song for 24 hours on my pages and all my social medias and you promote mine as well.

But the real power of this method is actually going through and finding multiple other artists and networking consistently so that you can actually build up a network of other artists that will promote your music as long as you promote their music, so a simple offer you can Make to another artist would simply be hey. I will promote your music to my fanbase for 12 or 24 hours. If you do the same for me and if you find 10 artists that have 1,000 fans right, that means that that’s 10,000 people that you can be in front of if you do this method, so the second method is actually going to be reaching out to playlist Curators and getting your song on their playlist, so an easy way to do.

This is going to be going to a website called chart, metrics calm, and you can actually go through and search for a specific song that is in your genre or that you have a song that sounds similar to and basically what you can do on chart metrics Is once you search for that specific song? It will pull up all the playlist on Spotify that that song appears in then. You just have to search through the search results and find all the ones that are made by actual people.

So the real playlist curators and not the ones that are made by Spotify a lot of times. You can click on the name of that person and you can actually find their social media and you can actually reach out and message them like through chart. Metrics it’ll. Actually link their Facebook or their Instagram or their snapchat, or something like that. So once you find the playlist curator social media, all you have to do is reach out to them and say hey.

I have a similar song to the song X and I think it would be a great fit for your playlist. Let me know if you want to check it out or you can actually send a link in that message as well, like hey check out this song. It would be great if you would add this to your playlist and then you know like love your playlist or whatever and move on. So, as you can probably imagine, not everybody’s going to answer those type of messages, because I’m sure that there’s probably hundreds, if not thousands, of artists actually messages in daily right, so the more you can do to actually stand out and be genuine, the more likely they’ll.

Actually answer to you, but this is a numbers game right, so the more that you do this and the more playlist curators you actually reach out to the more chances you actually have to be featured on these playlist once you’re in these playlists. You can actually get you know anywhere between ten twenty thirty plays a day from one of these playlists all the way up to a hundred to a thousand plays a day just from any of these smaller playlists, and so the power, and this method is actually getting Your song into multiple playlists, so that more people can see you, so that’s it for this article.

I hope you found it helpful if you did make sure you go ahead. You hit that like button down below and if you have any questions, comments, concerns or ideas for future articles go ahead and drop that in the comment section down below as well. If you need any new beats, go ahead and drop by hit play, beats comm and until next time. Guys here are some more articles.

How To Make Social Media Ads That Actually Work

Now this article was inspired because I noticed that a lot of musicians are really just wasting a lot of ad dollars by not really customizing their ad campaigns for the platforms that they’re making it in and oftentimes just taking regular content. They have like a music article and then running an ad using the entire music article, and the first thing that you want to keep in mind when you’re creating an ad is.

What is the goal that you have at the end of the day? Are you trying to drive music plays? Are you trying to drive overall awareness? What do you want the in behavior of the user to be? What do you consider a successful campaign to be so for this? I’m going to use three examples. None of these have been necessarily considered these huge viral campaigns where you might necessarily know about people in the first one I’m going to actually use an on a music example.

A few days ago, I was hit with this article on Instagram. This is also a metaphor for your car, so when you don’t put toyo tires on your car, you’re, basically doing this to choose 12 times, not spray juice. Now the first thing I actually saw scrolling down my feed was food that beautiful looking steak. You keep reading for a few seconds and then BAM. This cheese happens, obviously especially on a platform like Instagram you’re, going to catch a lot of people’s attention, using something as beautiful as a steak, some good-looking food, but this ended up being a type of commercial.

You can see that a lot of people got got when they talked about it in the comments. So why this commercial works, which is really important to remember and take note of, is the fact that, even though they had to stake in a transition to end up being entire commercial, it wasn’t like some straight spammy stuff. It made sense in the narrative of the actual story itself. The steak was ruined by cheese.

They were using it. As a metaphor to say your car is ruined. If you don’t have our tires, don’t put cheese on your car, I want to drive that point in because a lot of people call everything clickbait these days, but clickbait isn’t necessarily clickbait or at the very least, it’s not so much of an offence. If what you’re? Using or the content after, the click actually makes sense and it’s providing value at the end of the day.

But so the point is they were able to use something to capture people’s attention and then transition. When you have something as boring as tires right. A lot of you guys are working with music, or just everybody has different. These interesting brands but tires is pretty boring. How do you capture people’s attention? I never heard of toriel tires before this ad or saying this, but now I do. These type of campaigns are really to build awareness, they’re really not meant to drive some kind of specific clicks or behavior, or I personally wouldn’t use that type of AD to do that, but just getting people intrigued and captured by what it is, and maybe a lot Of people might even send it, so they can get somebody else, whether I actually end up saying it to my sister, because I know she likes food and I knew she would be thrown off by the ad your transition.

Or so so you got to pay attention to, and all these ads are the structures. You have something quick that brings in the attention and you use that somehow to lead to another narrative that makes sense for whatever you want to do, or at least want them to know and because you’re, using this type of AD to drive awareness with a lot Of people not necessarily know you already, this is one of the type of ads.

I would recommend doing like a Facebook ad campaign and actually paying for it, because it has the ability to stop people in their tracks for just enough time to get informed of you number two. The second day I was actually just an Instagram post, so I’m going to go ahead and start and say this type of ad is not to build a fanbase or bring in new followers. This is to engage and direct your fans, your current fans, to a specific action, a lot of people, just post, hay now available on Amazon or now available on Spotify, all of those types of things.

What this person did a blacksmith, he actually engaged and entertained. The fan base and even made them laugh a little bit around what he wanted them to know, and they provided a single call of action, which is basically going Amazon, Prime, if you got it and listen to the music. Once again, this type of head is not to build a fanbase, it’s to inform your current fan base and then lead them to a specific action.

Doing things like this allows you to constantly inform them when you can always have the regular post hey. This is available here on Spotify, but now I’m going to entertain you this time and then once again, let you know it’s available on Spotify and then I might do something else. So you can come up with a lot of creative ideas that are small. They don’t even have to be funny, but just something where you give them value in addition to the information itself and then hit them with the fact that you want them to know something and then direct them to the action number three.

So number three is my favorite, because not only definitely utilize influencer marketing, but it does it right – is going to think of it too much as an ad. It’s straight up or gank they’re listening to music as they get ready, which a lot of girls and just people in general do so it’s them being their natural selves and then they’re interacting with each other and they’re, interacting with the article just looking like they’re having Fun because of the song like they like this song, but they actually know this song that’s way different than a lot of these other acts.

You see, oh well, I don’t have any personal insight on the first two eggs, but I tell you from this alert. One is the song in this article is called mozzie by artist named Joanie in and then shown here had an additional fifty thousand plays in a very short period of time on that song after it was posted. Now the track has about five hundred twenty two thousand plays on soundcloud, or maybe it’s five hundred eighty-seven thousand, I can’t remember also, which is most important.

Joni Ann said about five hundred of those people will end up following him on Instagram and they really stick with them and stay active five hundred legitimate fans. It’s a nice amount coming from one Instagram post. He hasn’t even maximize the use of that particular clip or push the song really heavily. Yet a lot of people will talk about hey use, influences to reach out to influencers pay them for an ad, but it still depends on what they do when they promote your song.

With a lot of these losses, they’re going to want creative control just make sure that they’re doing something creative instead of just posting. So two quick tips, especially if you’re doing an Instagram hat. If you can make a article that actually gets people’s attention and maybe even you can make sense or be funny or intriguing or even confusing, without the sound at all, then you’re doing yourself a great service because hey a lot of times, people don’t have time to Click the sound also a lot of times, people just can’t because they’re in a certain place, but if you can get that message out and make them laugh, that could be a pretty effective article, especially for awareness and then, of course, when they turn to sound on.

Hopefully, the article is just that much better or explains what they didn’t get but got intrigued by before. Turning the sound on and then the second tip is a be testing, as you notice, I did not say, hey dude this one only do this one. I always talk about experimentation. A lot of people will tell you that articles do better on social media, then text ad. But I say you test that for yourself, because it all depends on your goals.

What a lot of people get confused by is they’ll, see a bigger reach or they’ll see bigger numbers as far as reades when it comes to the articles, but it just means people might never saw the article, but it doesn’t mean much good. They like the beatty or anything like that, so you might just want to use that as awareness just like the first article, because a lot of times what you might find in my experience with text is, you will have more clicks and better drive people to specific Behaviors, even you don’t have a good article ad and itself or even just good copy.

Where you’re writing your text ad. We can do a article about how you use language in your ads later, but for now that’s it y’all know what to do. Hey Dad subscribe button

Music Branding: The Brand Lie & The Truth Artists Should Know

What most people have wrong about branding and, lastly, the power of branding and how strong brands can cause people to lie to themselves and they kind of like it? So, let’s hop into this with two quick clips, let me introduce you my track pop out there piece by piece.

First, the melody. Okay, all right, if you don’t know the first person that was performing his name was Treme. If you’ve probably seen the article I’ve done on him and he’s basically a big deal, I’m talking a double platinum artist and he’s performing extremely popular songs in a time period where those songs were literally lighting up the charts. Now the second person is Joshua Bell, he’s essentially a classical music superstar, I’m talking about, but he doesn’t really lead a house for less than $ 75,000.

Not only that, but he was playing on a Stradivarius violin. Now one of my best friends is a classical violinist and Stradivarius violins are not cheap starting to thousands of dollars. The most expensive Stradivarius violin was sold for 16 million dollars. This alone kind of speaks to why a lot of newer artists who were just doing showcases in live performances have a hard time gaining fans from their performances alone.

Even these huge performers could barely get people’s attention, and this is what I call a branding problem. See marketing is about creating awareness, and people are aware of them because they’re walking by they see, then, actually, you know making music, but they aren’t aware of who they are. So, even if the people didn’t necessarily like that type of music, like you didn’t like classical music, if these people knew who these people were, they would at least stop for it a little bit.

There’s a lot of times. People will accept the subpar or trash performance from people that they already know and like if they go to their concert versus actually buying into it becoming a fan of somebody that they don’t know just from a random performance. Branding leads to a reputation that precedes you, and people actually rely on branding as a shortcut to how they process information. People have to be told that something is worth their time.

They have to be told. That is valuable, if not that some things don’t happen naturally, but in this world where so many things are coming at us, people are always trying to figure out how to decide what they spend their time on. They say pay attention because you’re paying in time when you give your attention to something that we all know the time is the most valuable asset right. So, no matter what trash for quality people do not get paid, what they’re worth they’re, either underpaid or overpaid, underrated or overrated.

Now, if you’re, overpaid and overrated congratulations, that means your brand is doing its job, because Brande is the reason that people overpay for things now the problem. A lot of people have especially creatives when they’re trying to create a brand is they think that branding is all about aesthetic and visual type things the logo, the name things like that? That’s really only a small piece of the pie.

So what exactly is a brand? A brand is to perception and expectations that people associate with the person or entity and to translate that into something a little bit more practical and understanding. The difference between marketing and branding marketing is about creating awareness and branding is about creating value. What you mean by that brand man if there were two cars and both of them looked exactly the same? One was a Toyota and one was a BMW which one would you choose? Bmw, you don’t need a second and think most people will choose the BMW and this example is so perfect because they both look the same once again.

Branding is not necessarily all about visual, but people have a set of expectations of what it means to have. A BMW, BMWs represent quality engineering and luxury, especially in comparison to a Toyota, and this is what I mean by creating value in one of the best ways to create value is to communicate values and attract people who value your values. This is one of the reasons that Chancellor wrapper fights off, accusations that he’s not independent Soviet merely not because being an independent rapper, really even matters that much it’s just because of the fact that he’s made it so ingrained as a part of his values and marketed That as a part of his brand, but bringing that value into question is a direct attack at his brand.

It’s like if everybody found out that Toyota’s were being built in the exact same factory by the exact same people of s, BMW with the exact same parts and engineers and all that stuff behind it. Bmws will be at risk and losing a lot of value. Even still BMWs branding has been set so deeply into people’s psychology at this point that their actions will still likely show preference towards BMW, regardless of if it was made in the same way as Toyota or not perfect example, have you ever seen those blind drink tests Where people are drinking like Pepsi at coca-cola and they don’t know which one and we all know coca-cola is like number one by far, but when they do the blind drink test, there has been instances where people will be like.

Oh no, I like the Pepsi, but they won’t know if they’re female just say that one number two. You would think that that type of experience will make a person say: oh snap and there’s another life, I’m just started drinking Pepsi for now on, but you could take that same person, never tell them that they chose Pepsi before and then put two sodas in front Of them and say that this one’s coca-cola that one’s Pepsi and then they would choose two coke.

That’s because of the branding. I’m not going to go super deep into why. But let’s just say that coca-cola has communicated the worth of their brand very well over time and don’t get me wrong. There’s people who have brand bias towards Pepsi and they would have the same kind of illogical results. That’s based on the brand versus where they how much they actually like the soda. It was like the one pair of Jordans that I had when I was a kid.

Jordans are not the best basketball shoes, but when I got him and I played in the game, I really felt like I was going to fly there right. There is 100 % brand. I know it sucks with people, but it’s not 100 % a quality conversations and everybody likes to think that they’re all about quality, but most people are usually only about quality in the areas that they choose to be experts at. But there’s too much stuff out in the world to be completely in to know about every single product and experience.

That’s why going back to those two clips of the artists I played at the beginning? It was all about branding, people were aware of them, but they didn’t know that these people were worth paying attention to once again. Marketing is about creating awareness and branding is about creating value, and you can communicate your values to create value, and once you have these values, people have a set of expectations when it comes to what the experience of your brand is like and that’s it for now.

5 ways to create a visually STRONG artist brand (part 4 of image series)

So starting off strong visual images are all about sticking out getting as much as attention as possible. In your environment, and you have to understand your environment to truly be able to do that I’ll go over that later, though, Calle West number one is being out of place when Kanye West first started hip hop was heavily a street where look right being educated.

As far as the look the preppy look College, look that Kanye West was known for the time was nowhere in sight. Kanye West was the first one. He popularized that and had the backpack. He created the backpack rapper, even the content. He was talking about that made him seem out of place. He was this different guy and then we look at him not that it was their choice to be born white, but the fact they were born white and they’re rappers, particularly in their side of rap, and brought them a lot of attention just because they were the Only white people at their time on that level, so it just made people look at it right in wonder.

Okay, who is that they easily were branded as that white person that you have two against the grain in the Western civilization, particularly with entertainers. You have women that are wearing less clothes, typically Janelle Moll day. She went the opposite direction by not only dressing down in sense of covering her body, but also having on a pence which is a little bit more of a masculine energy.

Typically, as far as what we associate a pen, so we associated with basis and power and all that kind of stuff, so brought her more attention when she did that in the first place. But then she combined it with what Jenna does also is, which is being out of time being at a time in the sense of using an old energy and oh look and also feeling your music often times which separates you from the current day.

People and they modernize it obviously, but they also really really strongly draw from and push the image of being old school like old, old school, not 90s, but you know back in the day. Y’All know talk about anyway, play up your character, so all these people have characters innocence and they play those up. But these people play into the extreme Lady Gaga Lady Gaga, particularly that one year when she was doing things like this meat, outfit and Eminem like you down here in the right like this woman is crazy.

She was really really really going to the extreme and getting maximum attention. If you remember that year, she like you, cannot turn on TV and not to hear about her or anything at least music related and then Nicki Minaj when she first came out well after a while, she came out, but she got to a certain point where she Was like, I want to get maximum attention and I want to be in the pop world and have so many people, not my name.

She started wearing these colorful outfits all this stuff, and just these bizarre things similar to Lady Gaga just to get attention and then Katy Perry did a very much so similar thing, except she did the characters and outfits kind of like Lady Gaga did, but then she Also did the colorful things with the blue wig as a theme during her California, love album and all that kind of stuff like she did very much so a similar thing, I’m sure you can recognize the similarities.

Little yachty. I did a article talking all about how he did this I’ll go check it out. You haven’t seen it, but he I go a lot deeper and number five is props right. Using props, Rory’s hat right here is a prop the way you know this is because he one has it on consistently and then he has it on. Even when he’s wearing this Jersey, this Jersey, is it necessarily a look that goes with that kind of hat typically, but he is so aware that this is his brand.

This is what make him makes him stick out, that he keeps it on no matter where he is because that creates his silhouette literally and he put a silhouette around him, but he doesn’t wear it as much this time. You would recognize Rory silhouette by itself. Regular hats, like the one kid cudi hairs on the bottom left, quit necessarily make you stick out, but the fact that this hat is something that people typically don’t typically don’t wear, at least on his side of music.

In the same way, the Hat the future wears is branded him as a strong visual. Those kind of things help out, and then you have a mean a with the bananas. I mean obviously they’re super random, but the fact that he hasn’t consistently I’m the strong visual brand. You see a banana and you’ll think of a meaning, particularly anything music related. He saw a new album cover and it had nothing but a banana now.

You would first thing you would think would be a meaning, at least if you do know him other than that is being consistent right, because all those things and everything that everybody did was all about being consistent. Only once you do it multiple times. The people start to really relate it to you. They see you do it one time and it’s just like how they’re doing some fun thing or how they’re trying to get attention, or it’s a little bizarre, that’s weird, but once you do it multiple times, people really brand it and stick to you.

I don’t learn rules to abide by them. I learned them to know when I’m breaking them, so this alludes to that sticking out thing. I said at the very beginning: you have to understand the rules of your environment to truly be able to take advantage of the rules and then break the rules to your advantage. So you get maximum attention. You have to really understand what people other people are doing to really stick out.

If you want to use a strong visual branch, so study the game and study what you see around you and that’ll help you get it done other than that. You know what to do subscribe have a great one.
