KeyWord Research Using Google’s KeyWord Planner

But enough of me, you know trying to promote my blog and begging for subscribers, let’s get into why you are reading this article and that’s because I’m assuming you want to learn how to do keyword, research using Google’s keyword, planner, so yeah anyway doing keep doing research Keyword, research when making your contents for your blog or for your website is very important, and you know luckily, for us there’s a fruit, there’s a free tool that we can use from Google.

It’s called the Keyword planner, and so I’m going to show you exactly how to use that in this article, I’m on my computer right now, and so let me get myself out of the way and we will get into it. Let me minimize myself so Google great, if you have it in order to do this, if you haven’t done so already, you need a Google Ads account in order to use the free Google Keyword planner. So if you just type in goog or I’m sure like if you type in let’s say, like Google ad account, Google Adwords even keyword planner well, let’s type in Google Keyword planner first, you need a Google ad account in order to do this.

Yeah there’s group of planner, Google Apps, Google Keyword planner, and so, if you don’t have a Google AdWords account yet then you need to set one up in order to use this. Google Keyword planner, and that is because it’s for Google Ads and so with Google eyes. They ask for your credit card information in order to pay for ads, and this is my school and let me I’m logged in to my school account. Let me log out of here whoa crap anyway.

You do need where’s that coming up on Monday MIT signed in get started, but anyway you do need a Google Ads account. They do ask for your credit card to put your credit card in to pay for the ad, but as soon as you get it set up, then you immediately need to pause the ad so, as you know, you’re not charged for it because there’s a review process. So if you pause the ad, you won’t be charged for anything but go ahead and set up an account and then once you have it set up, then you can come back and read the rest of this article.

But so let me I’m going to sign in first to mine. Let me sign in to my account. I don’t want to send it to my school and I want to sign in to I want to switch. I want to sign in to this one my I have two ones for my school, so I have a couple. Google Ads accounts yeah. This is the one I want to sign in to I consider how any ads running at the moment they get. Let it get once it gets loaded on here: okay, yeah stalking, about setting up an odd, but I don’t want you right now.

So bat. If you go under tools and settings, it will be here. It says, keyword, it says, planning and under planning. You will have keyword planner, and so once you get your Google ad account set up just go under tools and settings and planning and then keyword planner. How do we fry your keywords in just a few steps jot down? Okay, so once you are actually in – and this is kind of a walk through – I actually don’t want to go through this.

I don’t need to go through. It takes it to god, yes, go back, I’m stupid leave anyway, once you set the Google account and you get your tools and settings and then you go on through the keyword planner. You come to this page, where it has discover new keywords or get search, volume and forecasts, and some filters you’re down here. What we’re going to want to do is you want to want to click on, discover new keywords and for this example, I want to I’m just going to do like keyword, research, right, free keyword, tools, I’m going to do keyword, research, I’m looking for keyword tools, and I don’t know where to go, we’re going to pretend that’s when I’m the content, I’m trying to think about making.

So, first of all, I want to change this from Japan. I want to get rid of that and I don’t want it in Japanese and I don’t want to Japan. I’m in Japan like I said so. That’s why I comes up as a default. Let me take that off. I’m going to change this to English and not Japan or in the United States, and you can just type that in here. So this is like, if you’re trying to target certain countries – and I usually do for english-speaking countries – you need to go in here and change.

It to whatever country or language that you’re trying to target so I’m just going to put the United States of America and save it key words at and Sal. You can start with new word keywords that you type in here or you can start with a website. So let me just add a few key words now with the website. That’s like, if you do comput, if you know who your competitors are right, if you know what their website is, then what you can do is you can put the website in here and then it will show you key words that they use, which is good.

When you do competition research going to a website that can help you out a lot, but we are just going to go with they’re saying we don’t know a competition with this, so we’re just going to start with some keywords, and so I am going to use. I’m going to use keywords, I’m just going to type in here keywords and you need to put. I think you need to separate it by comma and keyword tools, and maybe you just need to hit enter.

This look for a free keyword tool and let’s look for keyword, research, because that’s what my article is going to be about all right, keyword, research, yeah, so just type it in and then hit enter and automatically for any new keywords that you want to bring up. Alright, so, and then, once you do that all you have to do now is hit, get results so instantly States, English and the results to come up soon.

Okay, so here that there they have come up. So if I was going to do a article about keyword research, I would you know getting free tools, use keyword, research, but coming here didn’t the plan. I don’t know what kind of article I want to make. What we’re going to want to do is look up. Look at this column here, the average monthly searches this competition – that’s competition for Google eggs. This ad impressions is top of page that stuff matters if you’re making a Google ad, but for just for making content it doesn’t matter.

We just want to look at like the average monthly searches, because we want to say what is being searched the most and that’s what we’re going to want to use in our title for making our content and keywords that we’re going to want to use we’re. Making. Our content so, for example, on this one, if you look under here keywords, let me make this bigger all right, so it looks like they all have about the same amount right keywords: right: 10k to 100k, a month keywords everywhere: a 10k to 100k Google Keyword, planner 10K.

200K keyword, planner, 10k, 100k. What’s that youtuber suggests 10k and 100k. I don’t know what uber suggests has anything to do with keyword, research and I’m pretty sure, there’s a way that you can filter, filter, stuff, that’s not related out with the older, and I knew how to do it. But with this new and I’m not quite sure, so I’m just going to ignore it for now and I’m just going to look at here’s some keyword, ideas that Google gives you kW finder at Google Keyword tool: that’s 1k, the 10k.

So if you, you can scroll down through here and look at these, but the main ones are these ones on top these 10k 100k – and you can tell what comes up Google Keyword, planner right keywords everywhere – is an application you suggest so anyway for the content. I want to make using this example. I would put keyword research using the Google using Google’s keyword planner because keyword, planner, keyword, planner accurate, and so that’s exactly how I made the article in doing this.

It’s that simple. We could try another one. Let’s go in here. Let’s try let’s say I want to I’m making content. Let’s say on, I don’t know chef and I want to make content about cooking French food right. So, let’s, let’s change this just get rid of all these cooking French food. Okay. So what would we put in this case if I think about cooking okay, so we’re talking about like cooking cuisine, French food, French meal, French recipe, cooking cuisine, French food, French meal? First recipe, click on the make French I’m going to make French food on my website.

That’s good enough now, let’s get results to see what comes up this’ll just take a sec for it to come up and then it’ll be done. I just want to show you. This is really easy to do now. Look at this French for toast 100k to a million recipes with chicken breasts 100k 2 million recipe for a cookies 100k to man, recipe for pork, tenderloin 100k for a million, ah sweet v-day, maybe 100 cakes a million.

My French isn’t that! Well, sorry, slow cooker recipes hundred k, 2 million beeps honey, k, 2 million. These all have a hundred and K a memo down to a black black stone griddle. So I could use these ideas. Ok, French, for toast recipes with chicken breast. So I could make a you know an article titled. You know how recipe for because, like with for for recipe for making whatever cookies or a French recipe for making chicken breast – or you know French recipe for making cookies or something like that French recipe for making pork tenderloin or how to make a recipe to make French recipe for making cookies the French way or something any of those keywords that I want to use, and I would throw in some of these.

You know that that’ll search for the most there, because that’s what’s people’s looking for and that’s what we want so my example made been stupid or but anyway, that’s how you do it. It’s very simple. Let me get out of here. Let me actually close it out. Make myself bigger, because that is the end of this article, truly easy. So, let’s get right into the business. Basically, I want to show you guys how I ranked number one within 24 hours, with two different keywords for my YouTube: article right and the importance of this. And if you stay till the end of this article right, I’m going to go ahead and give you access to my little secret hack that can literally make this process so much quicker.

Now, first and foremost, let’s take a look at the articles right and just to make sure that that this is real right: how to get free money on PayPal. Out of nine hundred and thirty seven thousand results. I’m number one number two: how to get free money? Look look at this how to get free money. Sixteen seventy million results and I’m ranked number one right and you wonder why within two weeks – and I only have four thousand subscribers, I me wonder why I have eighty two thousand views right and then just to show you that this isn’t just like a one-hit wonder For a long tail keyword how to create a Facebook ad for affiliate marketing right out of four hundred and eighty nine thousand results, I’m ranked number one here: Ariella jr, I’m also ranked number two here, I’m ranked number four and I’m ranked number five right for this.

One keyword I have would be one two three out four articles ranked so what that means said guys what I’m about to teach you works right so, and why is this even important because number one you want to build your subscribers and number two is going to Enjoy a drive, a whole bunch of traffic to your YouTube, blog and number three. If you learn the skill set up how to monetize it, it’s like what I do.

I do it for the up marketing. You notice here at the end of my article four minutes into my article. I have a call to action telling people to claim my ebook within a two-week period. Right I gain 6,000 or excuse me, 8,000 views. Imagine how many visitors I got to my website. So if you’re trying to do website traffic or if you’re, trying to do sales funnel traffic, it is crucial to learn how to do this.

Article ranking so the first step to ranking your articles is finding out a related keywords. So you want to figure out where you want to go ahead and create our excuse me where you want to go ahead and actually find or rank your article for what words. Because the thing is the reason where why people don’t rank their articles is because they just decide to create content and then distribute it, but they really don’t put any thought process behind the title, their ranking or anything of that nature.

So that way, when people actually search they’re not going to get access to your content right so example, when people search this out of 70 million, I’m number one, and when people search this out of nine hundred thirty seven thousand results. I’m number one. So when people search for ma – for that word those words that keyword you’re going to go ahead and get ranked right now, the tool I like to use for keyword research is called Google Keyword.

Planner you can go to google set up a Google AdWords account. It’s going to tell you to start a campaign. You can literally go ahead and cancel the campaign. If you notice it says new form of payment required. Your current payment methods can’t be charged yeah because I cancelled it right. I’m simply just trying to use this so that way I can use this tool for free right and you can do the same thing.

Google Keyword planner and what it does is it allows you to see search volumes right, so just to kind of give you guys an example for it. I’m going to give you guys an example for this exact article right. The article title is youtube article SEO ranking hack step-by-step. Now, if you notice it says YouTube article SEO right. So the first thing is in that title add article SEO right. So article SEO has 1k to 10k articles per month.

Right now, when you’re, just starting out with article ranking and you don’t you’re, not a large authority on YouTube, meaning you don’t have a hundred thousand subscribers. Fifty thousand subscribers right you’re not going to get that natural traction right away. So you want to compete for less competitive keywords. Now an example in this. I have YouTube article right, that’s in my title, but I wouldn’t try to compete for that because right now it’s at a hundred thousand to 1 million right the competition it says low here, but that’s a lie.

There’s a ridiculous amount of articles on YouTube for this title right, so what I did was just pretty tricky is I literally compressed a whole bunch of keywords within one title, so that way it increases my chance of ranking at three separate keywords. The first keyword is YouTube article. The second keyword is article SEO right article SEO and then the third keyword is SEO ranking right. So I literally have, I literally, have increased my chances of ranking for this article that you’re reading right now when people actually come up search.

These three keywords right: I’m trying to rank my my article for that actual ranking. Now that’s the first step right once you go ahead and create the actual YouTube article. The excuse me once you go ahead and create the keyword, the keywords that you’re going to be searching or the article title. The next step is actually creating the article right. That’s what I’m doing as we speak now what you, when you’re, actually creating the article content.

You want to go ahead and say the keywords a couple of times. That’s why I said YouTube article SEO ranking. I said article SEO, I said ranking you want to say it multiple times, because what happens is YouTube actually picks that up, so it picks up that your your content is congruent with your actual keywords. Number three: is you want to make sure that um you’re increasing the read time how you can actually increase the read time on your actual YouTube articles is by hooking people in the beginning of your actual article, which is what I did earlier right.

You simply go ahead and build people’s curiosity by the first few seconds. You have to hook them and if you hook them on the first few seconds of your article and that’s why I told you you’re going to go ahead and get access to a hack. If you read this full article, then, what’s going to happen, is literally they’re going to read till the end and it’s going to increase your read time. What YouTube shows is the larger your read time for a specific article, it’s going to show that it’s quality content because they can’t read the articles in the self, so they go based off of data, so they stop the data.

It shows that you have a large read time. That means that it’s a great article, so they’re going to go in and increase the article ranking meaning somebody goes to this. Let’s just say this article right here and only two minutes are readed, but over here five minutes are read over here. That’s why this one is ranking higher this one’s a five minute article as well, this one literally. You might only get the reason why mine might be ranked higher is because this one might only get two minutes read.

Mine’s might get five minutes read, so it’s showing that mine’s is more of a quality article and YouTube’s main objective is to literally keep people on their platform right. All these social media platforms understand that their objective is to get you addicted right now. Number two or excuse me, number four. I don’t even know stuff on one number. Five, maybe, let’s just say number five right. The step is the key tip ranking.

Your articles is within the first sentence, having your keyword right so how to get free money right. This is crucial, so many people like to put their link, I’m sorry what so many people like to put their link as the first thing at the top. No, you want to go the easiest way guys to put your keywords, is literally just by reposting the title in your description right. So if you notice here, if I go to edit article, that’s right there in this article you’ll learn how to get free money on PayPal 2018, how to get free money on PayPal 2018.

So it shows right literally when you’re searching for the keyword. I don’t know we’re just happen with YouTube, but when you’re searching for the keyword right, it’s going to show look how to get free money on PayPal, how to get free money on PayPal. So it shows you guys the keyword. It is crucial to have it within your first sentence. You can have your link within the first sentence, but you also want to make sure that in the first few lines, first, three words: you have your keyword right, that’s crucial.

Then next step is to actually have great quality content right now. A lot of these articles pertaining to free money on PayPal it’ll be bull. Crap right. If you notice they’ll, have a whole bunch of crappy engagement. I actually made sure that I really gave people 3 methods that they can get access to, so whatever your content is deliver the best content possible an example. This article that you’re reading right now I’m going to be giving you guys the best content possible, I’m showing you guys actionable steps so we’re not going to increase my read time.

It’s going to increase the actual quality of the content, which increases read time like you want to make sure that you’re producing quality content and not just throwing anything together and make sure you use. But I’m going to go ahead and show you guys the normal way of doing this right. So what you’re going to do is in your tags. Where are we so in your tags right here? If you notice guys here’s my tags, these are the tags, the article tags that I’m trying to rank my article for right how to make quick money, how to make money, how to get free money on PayPal, blah blah, blah blah blah right. The best way to find tags is by once you search for example, SEO ranking.

Then you find what else is related right, so I’ll do like, for example, for this article I would do YouTube ranking and I would get results and here’s a keyword, youtube article ranking or SEO ranking so YouTube ranking. Then I’m going to go out and find other tags related right. So an example I can do ranked YouTube, but these are extremely low. If you just starting out this would be great to start right, 10 to 100 or actually the best, if you’re, just starting as a hundred to a thousand, because you want a good search value volume.

So you might do s you might do like SEO ranking there. Might be better options so SEO ranking Google ranking? Basically you you search for ones that are congruent with your actual content and then the magic number is 100 to 1k right now. Let’s just say you have 10,000. 20,000. 30,000. 30,000. I’m just you want my batteries at 7 % futsal and reps up pretty quickly. So, let’s just say you have 30,000 subscribers.

Then you were an authority you’re going to get instant traction. You can go for like 1 to 10 K. I mean, if you have a large freaking following you, can go to 10 K to 100 km, + right. The big freaking keywords right, because you’re going to get immediate traction, then you’re going to rank pretty fast. So what you want to do is literally copy these copy and paste into your tags, and then once you go ahead and paste them, the next step is literally just going going ahead.

It and saving the article now make sure what I’ll recommend is, try to put the keyword in your thumbnail as well and just make sure it’s clicked baby. So what happens is just kind of show you from the psychology perspective somebody’s going to come across my article they’re, going to go ahead and see the actual thumbnails quick, vide they’re, going to click it once they click it. They’re going to notice that my content is congruent with the actual title, and once they read they’re, going to notice that its quality conscious living and a read to the end.

And then, what I’m looking to accomplish from this actual article is for them to actually read till the end. So that way I can market whatever I’m trying to sell. On the back of my youtube article and again this article right here, eight thousand six hundred and seventy nine views within a two-week period. I I posted it April 12th, it’s the 28th right now. So 14 is a little early two weeks ago, so literally averaging about 7,000 views a week.

So that’s about a thousand views per day. What would that do for your business if you were to be able to generate a thousand views per day on all of your YouTube articles? Right now, again, it’s not going to happen on every article, but it increases the chances of you ranking your YouTube articles. Using these SEO or these article SEO hacks, but let me go ahead and show you guys, the hack that I was talking about to rank your YouTube articles even faster.

So what I use right, which is even freaking quicker. It’s called to buddy right now, basically down below I’ll, go ahead and give you access to it. You literally click the link with to buddy. It just makes my job so much easier right now. If you look here, I’m literally logged in but buddy already and one thing that it does is it shows me if my if my articles are being ranked right, so it shows they’re ranked number one.

I didn’t know they were ranked number one until I actually be locked in to log in to the back office and then you can actually see which words are number one or which keywords are number one. And then I searched them, and I showed oh by golly. Gee, it is actually number one number two is at the bottom here. It shows you 491 out of 500, so, instead of just randomly guessing how many tags right or getting that annoying, you have too many tags.

You can literally track how much space you have left as far as tags that you need to go ahead and put in your actual, your actual articles right number two is: I want to show you guys something so in two buddy right. There’s this feature where you can literally go ahead based off of your title that you put in you, can literally go ahead and click the button look cells for most ages. It’s crucial to save I’m effort in energy right. You don’t want to spend hours upon hours. Doing this research and stuff talk a literally find a keyword that I want to rank my article for hop on to buddy, create the article content around and make sure I follow all the steps that I said in this article and then just add the tags. Really. Quick with two buddy and on the back end like I said you can actually monitor how many tags you have and you can go ahead and there’s a whole bunch of other features that I’m not going to go over.

I suggest you create a profile in ubersuggest for your website, which will Track your progress automatically, so you don’t have to keep downloading Excel. Spreadsheets and see in seconds, if your doing well or not Unfortunately, ubersuggest doesn’t track rankings for Google. My business listings In Google Maps, so it only gives you half of the picture To do this head over to a Site called localFalcon.

Com Local Falcon is a software that allows you to Track how well your Google, my business listings, ranks directly on Google Maps For a given keyword, I love this tool as it is very visual and you can instantly Get a feel of how well or badly your business is doing. Local Falcon is not a Free tool, however, you can create an account and run one free scan, which will Give you a good idea of how powerful this can be for your business.

Let me run Through an example with another dentist, called Denton dental located in Nashville USA, Once you’ve created an account click on scan on the main menu Start typing your business name in the business field. It should come up. Automatically, Please note that if you have decided to hide Your business address in your Google, my business listing you won’t be able to Run the scan Add the keyword you want to target.

In this instance, we’re going to use “ dentist Nashville” Choose the radius you want to target and then the distance Either in miles or in kilometers, Then select the grid size, Click on run, search, You will see dots showing where your business ranks and in what position. Based on your criterias, Any position beyond three means: your business is not Featured in the map pack, which really is where you want to be Clicking on the Dots will give you access to more details and check which businesses Rank above you and how far down you are on the list, Local Falcon stores all your scans, so you can easily compare them and Understand if you are making any progress over time Time to move on to our last item external links, External links, pointing To your site are one of the most important factors that will influence Your online visibility, In summary, the more quality links you have pointing to Your website, the more relevant it will appear to Google, who will reward you With higher rankings, But how strong is your link profile? To check this go back to ubersuggest.

Com once more and search for your Domain On the main screen check what your domain score is. This score is Calculated on the basis of external links pointing to your site, The lower the score, the weaker the site Run the same scan for your competitor’s Site and look at their domain scores If your score is lower than theirs is Because they have more valuable links pointing to their site than you do This Means there is a great chance you will be ranking lower than they are for the Keywords, you are targeting.

The solution. Try getting more web sites to link to Yours, If you don’t know where to start, you can spy on your competitors, links by Clicking on their domain score, This will show all the links pointing to their Site Just try to get the same links as they do. SEO for YouTube and s

I’m going to be talking to you about how to do SEO for YouTube a number two search engine and how to optimize your articles for higher rankings in that search engine. So Who am? I am stuff and Spencer, I’m the co-author of the art of SEO, co-author of social commerce and author of Google power search all published by o’reilly. I founded an SEO agency in the 90s called net concepts.

I sold it to covario in 2010. I invented an SEO technology platform called gravity stream and I have an SEO training and coaching program at science of SEO com. So that’s me, these are my books. If you don’t really care about that. You care about getting the result for yourselves and want me to share with you a little brief case study example of how you can achieve this. Even if you’re a kid my daughter and she started doing SEO and blogging when she was 14.

You can see in the screenshot here. She’s got some YouTube articles where she’s doing some screencast, showing some game, cheats and so forth for a neopets, calm website and how to earn extra lives or an extra points, and things like that, so she monetized the site using google adsense and every time people clicked On the google ads that were prominently displayed on her site, she would get paid. So if a kid can do it, so can you, but here is a one of the easiest tools of all to do.

Seo with for youtube is simply just start doing some searches or typing in some keystrokes into the youtube search engine and the search box. You’ll see search suggestions based on the keystrokes that you’ve already typed. So these are roughly an order of popularity that gives you some good brainstorming. You can also use a tool called suble, which I covered in another segment about keyword, brainstorming.

So if you go to sue volcom – and you start typing in some different keywords and see what the search suggestions are not just from youtube, but also Google and Bing and Yahoo and answers com and so forth – that’s pretty cool. You can also use google trends, but not in the way that you might be accustomed to. Let me show you specifically what I mean. So if I go to google.Com / trends and then I put in whatever like a neopets – and I want to see how that performs as a keyword in youtube well, I have to change from web search up here on the top to youtube search.

Most people don’t even know that that even exists. That option allows me to get data back on what keywords are popular in the youtube search results? Is that awesome or what so be sure to use google trends and incorporate that into your YouTube SEO a tool set? All right, so, let’s now talk about what to create in terms of article content, because if you create something, that’s not very worthy of being readed or or shared or liked, or anything like that, then it’s just going to fall flat.

It’s not going to go viral! It’s not going to get a lot of views, it’s not going to rank well because it’s just not remarkable and when I say remarkable I mean stuff codons definition of remarkable. It’s worth remark about it’s a purple cow, so you need to create something that is worth remarking about and the format of it doesn’t matter whether it’s a screen cast recording or it’s a article of you.

You know talking that sort of article or it’s a montage of different images or it’s an audio podcast with some still images added to it. So it is now in article forms and taking your audio podcast and you’ve uploaded it to YouTube could be any number of different things. But you know this unique article based content has to again be worthy of somebody wanting to share it, a link to it blog about it, etc.

So these are some different kinds of articles. This one is a explainer article. That’s one of those white board type of articles. Here’s an explainer article, that’s done as an animation. This one is a next. I guess you could call it an explainer article, but it’s just more of a viral article, really good Dollar Shave Club on the map. This thing went crazy, viral millions and millions of views. This is another type of whiteboard explainer article, but this one is, you know with the guy talking and explaining and having that.

Actually, this is not a white board as a flip chart. Here’s another whiteboard article. This is from one of my co-authors on the art of SEO, and this is a podcast, but one where they’ve taken the article of the podcasters speaking instead of using still images, they took article as well, and this is a fun science article. This is the past client of mine, steve Spangler, been on the ellen, show a bunch of times and everything doing.

I was crazy. Amazing science experiments and he has several different youtube blogs that do really well Spangler effect is one of them is also six science says another one and steve Spangler Science pocket or blog. This is a screencast which is just a screen recording and you can explain different software programs or you can go through PowerPoint decks like what I’m doing here. You can just use screen recording software, such as ScreenFlow for the mac or Camtasia for PC or Mac to record the screen, and your audio as the overlay here is a really popular example of a kind of an explainer article, but done with animation using xtranormal, where You pick the avatars and you give it the script and then the avatars speak the lines that you’ve given it.

This is a micro sites where it was live, article of a intern college intern who worked all summer long at the prophetic and melds headquarters. You know from Mentos the makers of mentos. He worked there just sitting in front of a webcam and then chatting with people who came to the mentos internal website as well as you can give them work to do I go. He can you fill out the spreadsheet for me and stuff, because what else is he going to do? Is just sit in front a computer all day in front of the webcam, so that was a fun viral live article stream websites that did really well in social media and got lots of links so just think outside the box.

Basically and then once you have this really compelling link worthy article content and you’re going to want to leverage power users to get that noticed by a larger audience and then potentially to spill over and to like go viral. Basically, and so you go get that that snowball effect happening or just keep growing, bigger and bigger and bigger, and then just kind of ticks off with a life of its own.

So you could create something that if it leverages an existing name or you create a new meme meme is a copy me instruction, backed up by threats and or promises. It’s a great definition from that’s the best definition. I’ve ever heard it’s from an expert, and professor and viral means you want to see your link worthy articles from a power user account. So you want to have power user in your back pocket that you can tap into somebody who has a big fan base.

So when they submit it, it’s going to get viewed by a number of people and then that snowball effect happens. You can also reach out to influencers and we’ll get to that little bit, reach out to influencers and offer that compelling content in a way that makes them want to share it. But it’s a lot easier, just to have a power user in your back pocket that you can just call in a favor with or or pay them some money and they seed your remarkable content.

Ok, so article content building, it’s got to be compelling, as I’ve said. You’ve got to hopefully reinforce the message of your brand around and pick the right keywords that you want to target use a watermark so that if people steal your article, your brand is still going to there’s still going to be brand impressions for you, even if they Ripped off your article and are using it elsewhere include links and references to your site like in the article description and YouTube description so forth, we’ll get to that in a minute.

So the title should be keyword rich and compelling. Should convince the user, the the YouTube user to click, to read your article. It’s one of the most compelling things. The only thing more compelling in terms of driving the clip from the youtube search results is the thumbnail. It’s important to be a concise but also keyword, rich, it’s kind of a balancing act, keep it to the 62 character or less limit and short and punchy and compelling is the key here.

The description, here’s an opportunity for you to further add more relevant keywords into the mix and to differentiate yourself from competitors and provide a unique son proposition. A really great call to action, put a link to your site high in the description. So they don’t have to click on the show more link to a button to see your your link, but it’s maybe the first line of the description tags are important as well.

So tags would be keywords that are going to and get this magic happening in the back, and you don’t see what these tags are. As a youtube user, you’d have to use you have to view source and give you the HTML source to see what those tags are in our competitors article but anyways, it’s it is used in the ranking, Doug rhythm at need you to again you want to do Your keyword, research before you identify the tags that you want to incorporate, don’t use throwaway words like and and 2 comma separate these tags and put them in order of importance to you.

So the most important most popular keywords should be the first ones in the list of tags yep. So let’s talk now about annotations. Annotations are a great way to drive, clicks and different user actions. If viewer is reading the article – and you really want them to subscribe, your blog to like the article to visit your website to whatever right you want to make those calls to action in the side of a an annotation, and these annotations can be added later.

After the article has been published and everything a lot of these things can be changed and, added to after the article has been published on YouTube, you can go back and change the title: the description, the thumbnail, the annotations and so forth. Let’s yeah: let’s ask people over location, we’ll talk now about thumbnails, because this is so so critical. This is the screenshot over. On the right hand, side comes from the blog of vat19.

Com vat19.Com you tube. They have over 440 million views across all of their YouTube articles and it’s amazing. They have some articles that have tens of millions of views, so pretty amazing and they’re all product articles. They saw all sorts of crazy stuff like 26 pound me bears, and things like that, so you can see from the screenshot that their thumbnails are compelling. They make you want to click and not just some talking head.

The worst kind of thumbnail is one: where just looks super boring. You can upload your own custom thumbnail. You just have to have a you. Just left a bit a verified youtube account, so just specify a mobile phone number. It will YouTube, will send you a text message with the verification code. Then you use that in the verification you can just type in that code into the YouTube site boom. Now your verified user and you can upload custom thumbnails.

It doesn’t even have to be a frame from the article it could be completely. Custom announced all sorts of graphics on to it, etc. All right now formats, don’t matter, could be a avi or WMV or whatever lanes of the article try to keep it short of. Like definitely less than 10 minutes, I’ve say even less than five minutes make it concise and punchy. The usability expert, Steve Krug, who wrote don’t make me think, says this write copy for your site and cut it in half and cut it in half again.

Do same thing for your your article transcripts or your article scripts, just to make it punchy short and sweet and value high value. Add, and also bear in mind as far as metrics are concerned for YouTube, is paying much more attention not to the number of views for your article, but to the percentage of your article that users read that’s a key key metric transcripts. So if you override YouTube’s auto-generated transcript with your own you’re, going to have a much higher quality transcript, because if you look at the caption of the caption text or transcript text that is auto generated by YouTube, it’s full of errors, it’s a joke! So definitely you want to upload your own version.

That’s all corrected even better. If you can also upload foreign language translations of your transcript, then people can read the version of your article in their foreign language. The audio is still the same, but it now has closed. It has subtitles, so that’s pretty awesome and then now you’re, showing up in foreign language search queries to on YouTube. You can use services to pit you pay a service to create a transcript for you, like dotsub or automatic sync, and never turn off the ability for users to like and dislike your article.

It’s a crucial part of user engagement and likes, or it’s a crucial metric that YouTube looks at right. So when you build links to your article on YouTube, also build links to a web version, that’s like embedded on your website or a microsite, and, for example, Blendtec has all these viral articles of the founder tom dixon blending, ipods, iphones action figures rake handles the golf Clubs, etc, etc.

In his blenders, that’s pretty fun to read, but if he only got links just to the YouTube articles, that would not help his SEO as much as if he also got links to his his own website and what they did was to created. A separate microsite called. Will it blend calm because Blendtec calm is all about e-commerce buying their their product, whereas will it blend? Calm is all about those viral articles.

If I’m a journalist writing about those viral articles, I’d want to link to the microsite as well as link to the YouTube blog. So that’s a great way to get some additional SEO benefit by having really popular articles. You could also consider syndicating your article onto other popular article sharing sites, like blip TV and metacafe, and so forth. You could use a tool like drop load to do that in a more automated fashion.

So you don’t have to go to each site individually. You can upload it once and then use drop load to upload it to all the different places that you specify reference. Your URL of your YouTube article and your RSS and M RSS feeds. Mrs S is multimedia or media, really simple, syndication feed for folks who are grabbing podcasts and so forth, automatically on to their into their itunes and so forth. Let’s see so those are some tips for article link building and then anchor text is going to be important when people use words like click here or check this out or read.

This, then, that’s not as helpful as, if they’re, using keyword, rich phrases, because google, the search engines in general, associate the anchor text of the underlying words in the link with the page that’s being linked to. So, of course we want diversity. We don’t want it to look overly engineered with the same keyword, rich phrase appearing all over the place. That looks not legit, but we want diversity and keyword, rich anchor text to a some degree to a limited degree.

We want to go over the top and then also just measure your success using YouTube analytics using Voot and boot looks like this. This is giving you really great insight into not just number of views, but other YouTube engagement, metrics like likes and dislikes favoriting comments. Article replies etc and it tracks your youtube search rankings too. I don’t know of any other tool that tracks your youtube search.

Rankings probably potentially may be tracking. Your search rankings in Google and Yahoo and Bing may be using to like Authority, labs or Moz calm, but what about your youtube search rankings? It’s the number two search engine. So that’s where food comes in via OT net and then turn off your article statistics in your youtube articles, because you don’t want your comment to be checking you out and looking at things like the trend over time and views and time readed and subscriptions and so Forth, that’s for your eyes only! It should be so turn that off it’s just a simple little checkbox to disable that so here’s where you do it, you just tick the box that says one tick, the box that says make these stats publicly available.

When I first started on YouTube, I had no idea how to get my article showing higher in search or getting them recommended.

This, of course, resulted in low views very few subscribers and it also felt really frustrating the good news is, though, by the end of this article you’re going to have a lot more success, ranking your articles, getting more views and turning them into subscribers. I’m going to break this down into a few easy steps, for you show you how to rank your articles on YouTube fast before I do that, though, please hit subscribe and the notification bar to join our growing community here on YouTube, let’s start with audience retention.

This is so important to youtube SEO and, what’s important to you, tube needs to be important to you audience retention is getting people to read most of your YouTube articles. This tells YouTube that whatever it is, you’re doing you’re doing it right, because if people want to read a lot of your content, then this tells YouTube that they’re spending longer on the YouTube platform, and that’s really exactly what YouTube wants to get this audience retention, though.

You’ve got to follow a few key steps. The first 15 seconds of your article is the most important I could say this a hundred times, and it still won’t be enough. My advice is to post-it note it somewhere that you always look or save it. As a reminder, so that you never forget this, when creating your article, I want you to see the difference that it makes for yourself, though, this is when I didn’t take this advice seriously, and this is when I did in the first 15 seconds.

You need to tell your audience what they will get from the article. A huge amount of tests and data have proved time and time again. If you don’t grab your audience’s attention in the first 15 seconds, then they’re gone. You want to quickly follow it off with a slightly longer intro, and this is going to tell your audience how the article will benefit them and what problem they have that you’re going to fix this means showing people that you know how to do it and you Provide proof of this in the article.

So, if I’m talking about how to rank YouTube articles, I need to show you an example of me doing this. So you’ve hooked people’s attention in the first 15 seconds, providing them with how you will benefit them from the article and how you’ll fix a problem that they currently have. Finally, you’ve provided them with the proof that you are the right person to show them what to do through credibility.

These simple steps will give you a huge increase in audience retention, and it’s easy to do so. You know how to get your audience reading your articles of a longer. Well, how do you get them to start reading them and ranking better right at the start? There’s a tool for YouTube that I highly recommend using. It’s helped me a lot in the last six months, rank my articles higher and get more views and subscribers this tool is called vid IQ.

It’s designed to improve your article SEO and a whole host of other amazing features. Vid IQ is a brilliant tool for ranking your YouTube articles. It gives you some really important information which you need when you’re actually searching for the right keywords to use in your article. So, let’s just take a quick look at this example: I’ve used a really general and generic term here, which is camera now.

You would expect this to have a high search, but if you didn’t know such things, then you can come over to the right-hand side. This is article Huw here which is built into my youtube search now, which is really hardly having it. On the right hand, side I can see the maximum views are 7.1 million. That’s huge. My average views are 1.2 9 million for this search term. Here I can also see that there’s some really not very well known, guy called Peter McKinnon, which has got three articles and he’s the top blog in the camera search term here, but in all seriousness, what this is brilliant at doing is telling you.

If this keyword is going to be any good for you to use, so if I just scroll down, I can see this overall score section here. I can see that the volume for camera is 80, which is really high, but the competition is also high, which tells me that, yes, there might be a lot of people searching it, but I probably would find it difficult to actually rank the article because there’s so Many people already have made articles around this, but let me give you a really good and successful example of how you could use it to find something good.

I use the search term Canon EOS RP. I have two US RPS and I have lots of experience with this camera so straight away. I wanted to make a article around these keywords. Now I can see that the maximum views is four hundred and ninety five thousand it’s considerably lower, but it’s still a very good reach. Now I scroll down. The first thing I wanted to see was the overall score and good news. For me, the volume is 61, which is still very high.

The competition this is the best bit is low, which means not many creators on YouTube have made articles around Canon EOS RP, so I thought, okay. This is really good. I’m going to use these keywords and create a article around it now. You can also take this a step further. You can start looking at the top related keywords to this, so you can make articles with these keywords. If they’re more successful or you can start seeing that a of people want to know about a review for the canon, eos RP, and this would be the right way to put the keywords for that.

Because he’s got 62 and that’s a good rank and a good score, but this made me start thinking about how to create the keywords. I knew that my main keywords were going to be Canon, EOS RP and that’s going to have a low competition and high search. So if you just take a quick look, I’ve managed to rank this article in the last month at number two for this really good search term. So straight away, you can see how good vid IQ is at providing you with some really good information on keyword search.

Now this program also takes it a hell of a lot further. You get so much analytics and data on your YouTube platform, which provides you with some really valuable information. The best thing about this tool is, though, it’s free. Yes, you do have paid accounts as well, but the free account for a lot of people will give you enough information and data, and you do have the overall score, and this C word this keyword search, which is on the free account.

So that’s the good news there now, if you’re wondering where to get this, what I’ll do is I’ll stick a link in the article, so you can click on that after you’ve readed this article and then you can sign up for a free account or a paid Account whatever is right for you, the last step I will show you on how to rank YouTube. Articles is read time, YouTube values read time as one of its most important ranking factors.

So if someone spends longer reading your article than your main competitors article, then this is good for you. There is a really cool way to do this, though you see you can find the competitors article, which is ranking high for the search term, that you want to use, and if you go ahead and make a article that’s a little bit longer than their article, then You have a better chance of getting more read time as long as your content in your YouTube article follows the steps you carried out in audience.

Retention having this added read time Towers YouTube that people using their platform prefer your article and read it for longer. This is a great way to get your article ranking higher than theirs. JavaScript: SEO Mythbusting

Where do these come from? How do these get into the world The myths, the legends that come through now JavaScript? I think a lot of it is people with very good intentions will try to provide the information they have available and there’s a gap in translation between the SEOs and the developers and how they think and what they consider So by going ahead and adopting is acceptance Criteria as part of my tickets, when I work with devs that lets them know very specifically, instead of being like “, and I want you to make magic for me” And you go from “.

Give me magic” to “, hey here’s, my user story,.” “. I would like to accomplish three pieces for acceptance criteria..”, You can bridge the gap, Hello and welcome to another episode of SEO. Myth busting With me today is Jamie Alberico Jamie. What do you do in your job? Thank you so much for having me here. I’M a technical SEO with Arrow Electronics. That means that I am embedded with a number of dev teams across a number of projects, And we tried to execute these initiatives, get new features available on the site in an effective and search friendly way, And that means a lot of times.

We have to have conversations about how we’re using our JavaScript Having you here is fantastic, because then we can have a conversation about pretty much everything that you want to know from the search side, as well as the web developer side. So… Any questions that you have in mind or anything like pops into your mind. Oh so many questions. I hope I get to poke at the black box of Google here And I have one.

That’S absolutely burning Is JavaScript the devil. That’S a fantastic question. It might seem that way, sometimes, especially when things are not going the way you want. You see the horror stories They’re on forums or on Twitter. Everything is gone. Yeah, that’s one thing: That’s the SEO site on the developer site is also like. Oh, it’s a language that wasn’t designed to be like super resilient, But it actually is and then often people are oh, It’s a C style type language and it’s not really.

It’S a list type language They’re, like a lot of misconceptions, coming from both worlds together and clashing here. I don’t think it is the devil. I think it has its benefits. I mean it allows us to build really cool and fantastic stuff on the web and be really responsive to what the user does and wants to do with our applications. And it has moved the web from becoming or being a document platform towards an application platform.

And I think that’s fantastic, So I think we are already pushing hard on fighting this “ JavaScript is the devil,.” And “. If you use JavaScript, we can’t be indexed at all.”. So that’s not true for for a long time, But I think now the documentation is catching up with like outlining the different Bits and pieces that you should be aware of and the features that you have to deal with that are not available.

One thing, for instance, is you probably have built single page applications right? Oh, yes, Has there been problems in terms of SEO when they rolled out, I I was pretty lucky. I had a dev team who believed in SEO. That’S good, That’s really good. That was actually my the big moment of my career when I got on the technical SEO And I came and I talked to you one of my new developers for the first time with this very specific problem I was trying to solve and he just paused and Looked up from his keyboard and went “ you’re, not snake oil”, So I think we’re making a lot of progress between SEO and devs.

That is fantastic. It’S a great story, So you might hear a few people in in the community going like ooh. Should we do a single page application? Is that risky And one of the things that a bunch of developers are not aware of, and some SEOs are not necessarily communicating all the time is that we are stateless. So that means with a single page application. You have a bit of an application state right, You know which page you are looking at and you how you transition between these pages.

However, when a search user clicks on a search result, They are not having this application. They are jumping in right to the page that we indexed, so we only index pages that can be jumped right into So a lot of the technology. Javascript technology is making assumptions of how The user navigates so the application. So like the developer as a developer. In my test, It’s okay, Here’s my application.

I click on the main navigation for this particular page and then I click on this product and then I see and everything works, But that might not do the trick because… You need that unique URL. It has to be something we can get right to Not using a hashed URL and also the server needs to be able to serve that right away. If I, if I do this journey and then basically take this URL and copy and paste it into an incognito browser Mm-hmm, I want people to see the content, Not the home page and not a 404 page.

So that’s something that we’re working on giving more guidance for lazy loading. You probably have seen a bunch of communication about that. One is probably Yes Yeah. How do we get a rich media experience out to users, but do it in a way where, if you’re on your cell phone, we keep that very small time frame? We have to get your attention Correct and you want to make sure that if you have a long list of content, You don’t bring everything into the especially on the cell phone right, Just feeling, like 100 images, What about Ajax? What about using asynchronous, JavaScript and XML? That is perfect Whoa I haven’t, I haven’t, heard Ajax being used in a while, and it’s fell out in a while.

I mean Everyone’s using it, but no one’s talking about it that much It was just like yeah. You just load data in as you go and that’s perfectly fine. We are able to do that. Also, I often get us about how that affects the crawl budget.., Let’s talk So what worries you about that? Well, if we’re using Ajax and me requests, say a product detail page and we’re using Ajax to supplement a lot of pieces of content to it.

Right, Googlebot’s requested one URL and it’s gotten back nine Yeah, because each of those Ajax calls had a unique string right. How do we handle that and does that negatively impact our crawl budget? So I wouldn’t say it negatively impacts your crawl budget, because crawl budget is much more complex than you might see this It’s one of these things that looks like super simple, but there’s more than meets the eye, We’re doing a bunch of caching right, because we expect That content doesn’t necessarily like update too much.

So Let’s say you have this product page. You make one request to the product page and then that makes nine more requests. We don’t make it. We don’t distinguish between like loading, the CSS or the JavaScript, or the images or the API calls that get you the product details. So if you have nine calls from this one page load, then that’s going to be ten in the crawl budget. Because of caching, we might have some of these in the cache already, So if we have something that is already cached, that doesn’t count towards your crawl budget.

So if we were to version our Ajax calls, yes, those could be cached as those could be cached exactly. Yes and then that’s that’s one way of working around it. If you can do that, if that’s a possibility, The other thing is, you could also consider it not just an issue for The crawl budget, but also an issue for the user right, because, if you’re on a slow network or spotty network connection, It might flake out In the middle – and you were your left foot broken content, That’s not a great user experience.

You want to probably think about, like pre-rendering or hybrid, rendering or server side, rendering Anything in between there And crawl budget is tricky generally, because we are trying to deal with the whole “ host load” situation. So what can your server actually deal with? So we are constantly adjusting that anyway, So it’s like “, oh this affected our crawl budget negatively.”, Not really because we just like had host load issues with your server, So we like adjusted it anyway, so we had balancing issues across your entire content.

So I wouldn’t say that it’s not much of a deal, But I see that it’s very important for people to understand that and unfortunately that’s not that easy. Can we demystify Googlebot a little bit Because we have this, The omnibus, the great the Googlebot, but it actually goes through a series of Actions. So we get that initial HTML parse. We find that the JavaScript and CSS that we need to go ahead and make our content then call those pieces.

We know. Since Google I/O there is actually a gap between our initial parse and our HTML rendering. But I want to know more because Googlebot follows HTML. / HTML5 protocols – Yes, There’s some nuances there. I don’t think I know I didn’t know about Where say: you’ve got an iframe in your head and you’ve got a closing head script right there That ends your head for Googlebot Yeah. All of our lovely meta content, our hreflangs and canonical’s below that have a tendency to exist.

.. That is true, there’s a bunch of things at play. So when we say Googlebot what we actually mean on the other side of the curtain is a lot of moving parts. So There’s the crawling bit that literally takes in URLs right and then caches them from the server, then so that when you are providing the content to us, we get like the raw HTML. That tells us about the CSS, the JavaScript And the images that we need to get and also the links in the initial HTML yeah, and because we have that already we have such a wealth of information already.

We can then start it like go off and fetch the JavaScript and everything that we need to render later on, But we can also already use the HTML that we’ve got and say like “. Oh look, there’s links in here that need to be crawled.”. So when you have links in your initial HTML, we can go off and basically start the same process for these URLs as well. So a lot of things happen in parallel, rather than just like one step and then the next step, and then the next step.

So this is definitely the start of it And as we get the HTML in parallel to extracting the links and then crawling these, we queue them for rendering. So we can’t index before we have rendered it, because a bunch of content needs to be to be rendered. First, In a way that better fits us, if we’ve got a single page application, We now.. Googlebot has the template. They just got to grab the content that fits within there Yeah.

So, wouldn’t that mean that Googlebot likes these JavaScript platforms, The more content you get us quickly in the first step in the crawling step, the better it is because we can then basically carry that information over rather than having to wait for the rendering to happen, But Is prerender always the best solution? That’S a tricky one. I think most of the time. It is because it has benefits for the user on top of just the crawlers, But you have to very carefully measure what you’re doing there, I think so Giving more content over is always a great thing.

That doesn’t mean that you should always give us a page with a bazillion images right away, because that’s just not going to be good for the users, Because they’re going to have to then…. If you’re on a really old phone. And I have a pretty old phone and you have a pages full of images and transitions and stuff, then you’re like.. “. I can’t use this website.”. So pre-rendering is not always a great idea.

It should be always a mix between Getting as much crucial content and as possible, but then figuring out which content you can load lazily in the end of it. So for SEOs. That would be. You know we. We know that different queries are different. Intents Informational, transactional,…, so elements critical to that intent should really be in that initial rush Exactly and you might consider if, if the intents are wildly different And the content is very, very different, consider making it into multiple pages or at least multiple views if you’re Using a single page Application so that you have an entry point for the crawler to specifically point at it when when it comes to surfacing The search results, So treat it like a hub and let the users branch out from there.

Yes, so that’s where we’d use! Maybe our CSS toggle for visibility. That is a possibility just having different URLs, is always an option, especially with the history API. You can probably in the single page application figure out which route to display and then like have the content separated between different routes or Be a little more dynamic. There.. We support parameters, So even if you use URL parameters.

. Basically expose the state that is relevant to the user in the URL. What other ways does that benefit our users, because our ultimate goal is to make them happy And that’s our ultimate goal too. So like we are, we are the same in terms of what our goal is. We both want to surface useful information to the user as quickly as possible, So The users benefits are especially if you do like hybrid rendering or the server-side, rendering that They get the content really quick.

Normally, if it’s done well, if it’s not overloading their device And they get to jump in right where the meaty bits are right. So if I’m looking for some specific thing – and you give me a URL that I can use to go to that specific thing – I’m right there and I’ll have a great time, because it’s the content that I needed So yeah. If you have performance metrics going up as well, then, even if I’m on a slow phone and a really spotty network, I still get there.

I mean our performance metrics, that’s based on a lot of pieces. We have a stack of technology. That is true. What should SEOs look for in our stack? Where should we try to identify those areas where we could have a better experience for not just Googlebot, but our humans Yeah? So I think a bit that is oftentimes overlooked, not by a SEOs But by businesses and developers, is the content part. So you want to make sure that the content is what the users need and want, and it’s written in a way that helps them.

But on the technology side,… Wait So that blurb at the top people always do where the like. Here’S my hero image and then 500 words about this thing And I’m a human who wants to buy something and there’s so much stuff in the way…. Yeah. Don’T do it At least like have two pages have like the promotional page that you want to do direct marketing towards and then, if I specifically look for your product, just give me your product.

Just let me let me give you money, So I think Talking about performance and all the different metrics, it’s a bit of a blend of all the things like Look at. When does my my content actually arrive, when does my page become responsive? So you look at First content for pain. You look at time to first buy as well less important than the first content full paint. I would say, because it’s fine, if it takes a little longer.

If, then, the content is all there Versus.. So time to first byte can take a bit of a hit Yeah If we deliver that faster first, meaningful paint Exactly because in the in the end as a user, I don’t care about. If the first byte has arrived quicker, if I’m Still looking at a blank page because javascript is executing or something is blocking a resource… If it arrives a little later, but then it’s right there, That’s fantastic right and you can get there in multiple ways.

I highly recommend testing testing testing testing. What testing tools would you recommend? So I definitely recommend lighthouse. That’S a great way. Web hint is more More broad approach as well, and you could also use PageSpeed insights or the new SEO audits in lighthouse. Mobile-Friendly test also gives you a bunch of information. Pagespeed insights is look at that full page though Mm-hmm and we had a bit of a bit of a gap.

We have almost this futurist Lighthouse, where we want that time to interactive, and then we have people adopt this methodology. That’S how we got you know so much contact via Ajax, because full page load is fast, but all that content was still coming…. I would recommend lighthouse that gives you like the Filmstrip view of when things are actually ready for the user to work with. So I would highly recommend looking at lighthouse but PageSpeed insight Gives you a good like first first view over and it integrates with lighthouse really nicely now.

Is Keywords Everywhere Free? (SEO Tool)

Thank you for coming to my blog today. I’M going to answer the question: is keywords everywhere: free we’re going to answer that question, but, along with that, I’m going to tell you what it is and what it does and how it may help you in your business and then three I’m going to kind of Show you how to work out the answer to my question and how it’s different than most other tools and the way they set up their offers.

Okay, so we’re going to go over through that and what I’m not going to do, I’m not going to try to sell you anything today, Wow is it that whole no affiliate link or anything like that? This is just a tool that I use in my business and I had that question and I went and researched it. So now I’m going to give it to you, I’m going to answer that question for you. Actually, you can go to keywords everywhere, and it is an SEO search engine, optimization tool.

It helps you find keywords. So if you’re in any kind of a business and you’re promoting your brick-and-mortar business online or you’re promoting an online business, you probably are familiar with keyword, search that that helps you find out. What are people looking for? And this is the home page for keywords everywhere, and it has changed a little bit. It used to be where they just had a great big page, and it said download this Chrome extension and you did and you got to use it.

Well, now you see this little pricing tab and I’m going to go ahead and hit that and if you’ve never used it before. Maybe this will turn you away, because you were told in some old articles that this is a free program and it was free for a very long time, but what they do is they don’t have you pay a monthly fee which is kind of cool you pay For credits now I knew that they had made this change. Probably it’s been a couple months, if not three or four months ago, it’s been a while and I just went off and tried to find something else for free, because I didn’t want to pay this, and I wasn’t really sure how that worked, because if you know Anything about keywords everywhere in their search: they bring up a ton of different options and I’m thinking well they’re, probably going to you know not that 10 bucks out really fast in one day.

So I kind of just steered away. I made my own assumptions and I did look into it and today I was reading a article actually this morning and they were talking about how keywords everywhere is free and I’m like. No, it’s not update your article while they can. But then I thought, let me go check it out again. How does that work – and this is what I found out – I’m going to answer that question first, how to use this and how to figure it out and then I’ll go into what it does.

So those of you that already know what it does read this part. If you already know what it does and all that stuff, then you can go ahead and leave after this. I won’t keep you, but your time is valuable. So let me explain this part first, because this is what my title was, but what you do is you go in and you purchase credits now before you are able to purchase credits. You have to download the the Chrome extension, so you would just go in in here and get an API key and or even just hit buy now and it’ll walk you through it.

That’S what I did. I went right here to this page I hit by now, and I already had it loaded, so I didn’t have to do that part, but then it brought me through the steps that I needed to do so. It’Ll do that for you and what a Chrome extension is. Is you go if you go in the top of your own chrome at the top? Their extensions are like real with shortcuts. Let’S call it that and you usually have a little.

Let me pull this map. I don’t know how to show it to you. Let me pull this down. Look at my top right up here, see that that’s. I have vid IQ there if I hit this. These are my extensions that are open right now and there’s the key words everywhere. It’S okay with black around in a red K, so that shows you what it looks like and you will install that and you can install it on your firefox and on your Chrome.

Now, how do these things work like? How do these little credits work? Well, let’s go ahead and I did a search and I just searched what is the best coffee? I just try to find something general and what it does it tells you how many people are searching for this every five seconds, there’s over four billion people searching and trying to get that question answered it. Can you believe that and then up here it’s going to show you about how many people, with the cost per click, is it’s about a dollar and what the competition is not very high? It’S got.

You know pretty competition now over here. Let’S say that you’re into affiliate marketing and your website is all about products and that’s what you’re promoting household household products or maybe you’re, doing a cooking show, and so you can justify looking up coffee and things like that, because that’s something you’re going to explore on Your show and within your niche so over here on the right.

This is what I was worried about. I was worried that every time I search for something they always give you related keywords and other things, people search for well, every single one of these entries would be one of my credits and I’m thinking man. You could use those up really fast well. This is why I suggest that you’d use it, because it doesn’t do that see right here. If I want to find out the the metrics on any of these.

I just hit this load metrics, and it tells me if you load this you’re going to use eight of your metrics. So if this is something important to you and you want those things, then go ahead and click it and same thing down here. There’S twenty three or forty five, more credits again, if you really want to dig in and do some research and you need the information, then click it, but what I love about it is, you don’t have to click it.

So, as of this search, I’ve only used one credit. Now I started thinking. Sometimes I’m searching for things for personal reasons and not for my business like I might want to know what the best coffee is, because I don’t like the coffee, I’m drinking and anybody that knows me don’t share what I drink. Cuz. Nobody likes my coffee, its Maxwell House, they called old lady coffee, so I guess that fits the mold right, but anyway we did move it up, we’re up to the medium now, not the light.

But if I was looking for something else, it is going to use my credit, so you’re, probably thinking well, I search for stuff for the kids and for projects and all this stuff, and it’s going to use up my money. What you need to do is: let’s go back up here, to where I showed you hit that little three dots in the top right hand corner hit your icon, the K, and it should pop up there. That’S my data on keywords everywhere, right here.

This is what I have left in credits. I just bought it this morning, so I’ve used seven. If I want it look up things person for personal purposes and I don’t need all that turn it off and then, when you’re doing some research you’re going to have to remember to turn it back on for your business. But that’s how you don’t use up. All of your credits, if you forget to turn it off and your kids are using your computer and they’re searching for things and your spouse everybody’s searching for things on the computer.

That 100,000 will go pretty fast, so make sure you turn it on and off now what, if you were searching for something for your business? Let’S do another search. How can I make money online and, as you can see, five billion people are searching for this, but it’s really huge. If I were to make a article about this in my business, I probably would get lost on page three thousand four hundred and fifty nine I mean it’s just unbelievable, so keywords everywhere is going to help me narrow that down, and it gives me this information yeah People are looking for how to make money online, but what’s a different way that they’re asking now.

I could hit this over here and use up my eight credits and find out. Let’S do it I’m going to do it for the sake of this article is to show you what happens. Let’S see, I get more data on every single one of those and I can see the cost per click and look it’s pretty high, how to make money online with Google it’s four dollars, but the search volume is is lower and that’s what I I always try To get something at two thousand or less as far as the volume but notice the lower your volume, the more the cost per click is going to go up and the competition all the way up and down it’s it’s fairly, pretty pretty much the same.

It just depends on what you’re doing with it. Are you putting a blog on your website? Are you making a YouTube article? How are you promoting this and is that information important, but the point there is. I could also, instead of clicking that, using up eight of my credits, I could have just typed in how to make money online for beginners and there you go. I already typed it in and again I don’t have to use up the related keywords on the side.

I can go in and pick and choose which ones that I want so hopefully that was helpful for you too. That was my fear. I thought. Oh, my gosh. Those a hundred thousand credits is going to go fast for ten dollars, just block out the time that you want to do your research and turn that little icon, that little chrome extension on and off and, like I said it’s very easy, go up there, where the Three dots are top right hand, corner click, that I know that has a name, but I can’t remember what it’s called hit: the little chrome extension, it’s a black circle with the red K, and then you can just turn it off, and I’m going to do that.

Right now to show you how to do that again and it just pops up, and it gives you all your information and the cool thing. Is it tells you how many you have left they’ll see it just went down, because I use those eight, but I can import keywords. I can analyze the page, all kinds of different things that I can do. I didn’t want to get into too much detail about what keywords every word does as much as answer your question: is it free it’s not free anymore, but I think I really like the way that they’re having you pay instead of paying a recurring monthly fee, because You know – and I know there’s times, that we have tools and we get all excited like just like you do with your toys you’re going to play with them and then well kids with their toys, but you play with it.

Then you put it aside and then you come back to it. So this way you’re not paying every month you’re only paying for what you use and I really like that that the way that they have it set up but they’ll, take you through the connector to your email list and have you pay through PayPal or charge card. So it was very, very, very easy to follow the steps so before you leave just make sure you give me some comments.
