Does Email Marketing Work? – How YOU Can Make Money With Email Marketing in 2018

I know a lot of people bash on email, marketing, sex and there are some things that suck about it.

When it’s just boring, you know people, I tend to gloss over emails all the time. Unless I get somebody who I’ve like looked at their stuff before – and I know it’s going to be valuable – I tend to just scroll right by and maybe you’re in the same boat. But if we’re in affiliate marketing, we want people to open that email. We want people to click the offers that we have in those emails, so it’s important that we make sure to do this alright.

So how can we do that right? Well, that’s what we’re going to do in this article! So, looking over my notes here and one of the most important things that you can do with affiliate marketing and email marketing – and I just on Google here we’re going to we’re going to Google email marketing we’re going to we’re going to figure this out right now. Okay, it’s going to be a ten hour, article ten hour course email marketing.

I hope you guys brought your popcorn we’re just going to go right into it. I’r just messing with you guys we’re actually going to abandon this. I just open Google just for fun. So what we’re going to do here is I’ve got you know what does this get response open here and I blanked this out just because you know whatever privacy and I wanted to show you guys this one is really cool. I know if you’re using MailChimp, you don’t get this if you’re using Aweber, you don’t necessarily get this.

This is very powerful. I like get response for this reason. You can create sequences and automation, automation, sequences and you can also create flows. So it’s very good. It’s very useful, I’m a visual person, so I like being able to see everything. So it’s super important now the key is to look at this from a big scale right. You look at something like this. Your your your user, your buyer, whoever’s on your list, looks at this and they go I’m bored right and that’s totally fine, totally understandable in this day and age, we’re very visual.

We need, we need stimulus. We need something right in words. Just they don’t do you? Justice sometimes so the first thing number one step number one rule number one don’t talk about rule number one, but the first rule is going to be. We want to diversify the content in the emails and what I mean is essentially we don’t want to just send text emails cuz that gets boring they’re, going to see your name they’re, going to see our email and they’re going to be like yeah, yeah nah.

Don’t care and then your stuff doesn’t get read. You know the first one. The gas is like a huge opening, writes and then it just steadily declines because people get bored and that’s fine. So here’s what we’re going to do we’re going to diversify the content and what that means is pretty much we’re going to switch it up. We’re going to have some. You know the Welcome, that’s just text sure and then, let’s see number two.

Let’s say you know: email number, two, whatever. Maybe we waited a switch it up by day two. Maybe we do let’s say a article. We linked out to a article on YouTube. We go ahead, you know stoked to have you learn whatever you trying to think. Let’s get specific, let’s get specific on a niche. Okay, let’s say we’re doing. You know birthday party supplies right like house, you know that was a terrible niche.

I can’t even think of anything. Oh man, okay, let’s say we go into loan advice like like. Oh you great to have you, you know, checking out loan. Alright, I’m going to quit, be asking you guys, I’m I I do have some in law of attraction. So I’m just going to talk about what I know. I think this will work better for all of us here, so a lot of attraction. For example. What I do is you know the first one that welcome, and then I lead them with a little bit of bait at the bottom, and I go, you know so excited to have you.

You know start your journey. You know be on the lookout for for the upcoming emails for our upcoming. You know, updates on tips or whatever. It is just kind of something something to get them to consider the possibility that we’re going to send them more emails. So that opens the door you want to have the door open, because if you shut the door on that first email and you go – you know great to have you here thanks for signing up, but you don’t do anything with it.

They’re like okay – and they forget about you, but if you, oh hey, you know be on the lookout for our upcoming emails or we’re going to be sending you even more tips this week and they’ll. Don’t know to expect you and that’s very important so make sure they keep that in mind. Now, with the variety let’s say, we send them to a article. We go. We go hey on on your journey on your journey to self-discovery, and your journey of you know, starting to attract more things into your life, more positive things into your life.

I found this article that I wanted to share with you that has to do with the law of attraction. Let’s say, and then they you know it’s it, one it’s relevant and two we make it sound exciting. We go. You know a lot of a lot of our a lot of our friends, a lot of a lot of my clients. A lot of my customers have been raving about this article and and how it totally shifted their perspective. You know change their lives like we kind of want to.

You know up up the up the excitement up the the enthusiasm a little bit, because we want these people to be excited to read our emails and to click our links and, if we’re just boring, why would they click your link? Why would they Hey click this article? It’s really cool, you know have a great day like garbage. We we want top tier. If we’re going to do this, we might as well do it right if we’re going to spend the time to do the emails, we got to do them right.

So it’s very important that we won’t switch it up. Do it do a article amp it up, get it get the person excited to click on the article? Why should they click on it? Give them a reason to now step number three. We can link them out to articles and as a as a two tier kind of thing, we can link them to articles that may be on your website. Let’s say you have a very specific niche website and you have an article and then at the bottom of the article.

Let’s say you have a link, you know click here to learn more and let’s say that link goes to your affiliate sales page or something like that. You know the article page even better. We want these things to link together and become very cohesive, so where everything is just running correctly, so we can do articles, we get new articles, we can do images, we can just do like. What do you call those like an imager, imager, folder kind of thing? You know hey check out these really cool, inspiring images or check out the images that we that we added to our Facebook page.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9-Kcxs45Oqg

That’s what I do you know go, give them a reason to interact with different parts of your brand. Even if it’s not your actual brand, if it’s like your Shopify brand or if it’s you’re, sorry, if it’s your affiliate marketing brand, you know – and you have a Facebook page for them – send them to that Facebook page but make it clear what the context is so Make sure that you’re saying, oh, be sure to check out our Facebook page where we just add: it’s really awesome images, you know and then give them a reason to click but switch it up.

That’s what I’m saying the whole thing is just to really give some some variety. So let’s say you send one two three right, and maybe you wait a day and then maybe you go here and and and on this one you’ll you’ll pitch them. You know your! You do value value and then let’s say let’s say we throw them a picture right and we go hey. You know. I hope you like the article from yesterday on like today today.

I wanted to share this really awesome program with you. It’s how it’s changed. It’s changed the game for so many of my clients, and you know so many clients thanked me for sharing this with them like. Have you ever felt like there’s something you’re missing out on her? You know if you’re doing a tool you can be like you ever feel. Like you just can’t figure, you know, email marketing out, you ever feel like you can’t figure out how to grow your Instagram account.

You ever feel like you’re, just missing out on on a hidden secret. Well, you’re, not alone data data, dot it up, and you you just you entice them. You make it so they want to click that link that they, by the end of the thing that they’re just like I got ta click this link. I can’t I can’t afford not to so you you, the goal here, you guys, don’t notice. Is you get better at it? As you start getting used to a niche, you get better understanding what that person on the other side wants, and that’s super key.

So you know that’s going to be the overall first tip, and I know that was super extensive and hopefully you got some notes taking on that one, because there were some nuggets in there if you didn’t, if you didn’t catch them. So I’m looking over my notes here now. The second thing, I’m going to say we’re going to say, step number: two: is you guys you guys don’t want to nuke your list and what I mean by that is, I know a lot of people who get somebody on a list and they’re like.

Oh, I didn’t sell them the first time so day, 0 welcome sure here’s your opted day, 1 pitch day 2 pitch day 3 pitch today for pitch day 5 pitch pitch pitch pitch to the point where the person that you know has his email account has either One already unsubscribed or two they’re, just not even going to bother opening your emails, are going directly to spam. So it’s very, very important that you don’t nuke your list, it’s in the pitch after pitch after pitch, because that is going to get you nowhere.

It’s going to absolutely nuke destroy, make your list or thoughts. Don’t do this or do but heat my warning, because that’s what’s going to happen now, step 3. What we’re going to go with is just a little there’s going to be a short bit you’re going to want to leave what I call little interest sprinkles at the end of each email and what I mean by that is you’re going to want to lure them. In to the next email you’re going to want to wrap up that email and be like you know, for example, if you’re doing something like meditation or just the whole law of attraction, thing you’ll end it with something like PS.

If you, if you’ve ever been one wanting to start meditating you’re, going to want to see our neck you’re going to want to check you’re going to want to be on the lookout for our next email because we’re including a surprise gift for you, you know something Like that something that gets an idea like like, oh like what could it be, you know and and then they’re going to see your email, oh the gift, you know and they it’ll it’ll kind of tie, everything together and then at the very end you know you Can be like, like Oh heads up, you know tomorrow tomorrow, going to be sharing with you this article with a really cool secret that you may not have known about blank that you may not have known about.

You know attracting wealth that you may not have known about growing your account that you may not have known about um. You know getting banned on Instagram whatever it is. You know you just figure out what that curiosity sprinkle is with that interest sprinkle and add it to the bottom, so it ties it in and they’re like you know, it’s like when you read a good show and they end on a cliffhanger and you’re, just like You’re reading you’re reading you’re reading and then it’s almost over and you’re like huh and then something happens and you’re just you’re on the edge of your seat and then all of a sudden.

It’s just credits in your sleep, no they’re really going to end it like that. Damn you know and you get all excited because you’re like dude, I got ta catch. The next episode. Like I’m, I’m invested. You know I’m curious as to what the heck they’re going to do in the next episode and you’re just you’re ready because you’re like dude. I can’t wait for this to come out. You know after after Wednesday’s episode like what’s going to happen, you know, and you you want your emails to kind of be like that.

Actually, in this book called calm secrets, Russell Brunson talks about that. You know he talks about it kind of like the the email, soap opera series or the daily Seinfeld series, I think, is what it’s called. You know it’s right here in like secret: six to eight, the or sorry seven, eight, the soap opera sequence in the daily Seinfeld sequence. Is it’s very much showing up and and the soap opera sequences is kind of like the show, and you connect your emails a bit by bit.

So if you guys want to learn a little bit more about that, I highly recommend, if you’re doing marketing check out this book very very valuable, like you won’t get everything out of the first read you’re going to want to read this and have it with you. It’s like a Bible. It’s really good, so highly recommend that if you guys haven’t tried clickfunnels I’ll leave I’ll leave a trial in the description below and you guys can go check it out if you want to but yeah guys.

This is we’re going to leave this off so overall switch. It up have some variety in your emails step. Two is going to be: don’t nuke your list step. Three is going to be, have some some interest or some curiosity sprinkles at the bottom of every email. So it keeps it leading in and you’ll keep your list engaged and that’s what’s super important, so you guys got some value out of this be sure to subscribe it that red button, if you have already subscribed you talking to you you’re awesome, and I appreciate you And you can just smash that like button and both of you guys can go ahead and leave comments below and let me know what you guys want to see more of because we are taking the affiliate marketing world by storm.

$10K A month Email Marketing Secrets For Shopify Part 1 – The Strategy

So for those of you that don’t know what email marketing is basically is when you collected email and start marketing products to it, that’s essentially the the basics of it and it accounts for about 30 %, maybe even 35 % on on the higher months of my Business sales, so, if you’re not taking advantage of this, you definitely should be taking advantage of it, and I’m going to show you how right now, if you haven’t already go ahead and hit that subscribe button, because we’re about to drop some dope content that you guys Are going to get tons of value out of and if you’re not subscribed, you’re going to start missing out on the you know the articles we do in the future.

So definitely do that and yeah, let’s jump in so email marketing, there’s, basically three different types of email, marketing that I can kind of or that I use at least there are other types like subcategories of these, but these are the three main ones that I use. So the first one is called abandoned, cart, so I’m sure tons of you guys have heard about abandoned cart, emails and email series, there’s bunches of different softwares that send them out automate automatically we’ll go over how to set all these up in a future article, and You know one of the next parts, but abandoned cart is essentially when somebody adds something to their cart, but they don’t actually purchase it, but you still have their email, so you can start emailing them later.

Okay, so we’ll go over the strategy here. The next one is newsletter: okay, newsletter are people that sign up to your newsletter or sign up for a discount or something like that. They are basically your general base level subscribers that haven’t shown necessarily any interest in purchasing, but they are at least interested enough to start receiving marketing emails from you, so these would be considered cold leads, these would be considered warm leads and then I’ll show you another One, the other category, which is considered a hot lead, which means that they’re very likely to purchase – and that is your customer list.

Okay, so these are the three different types of email that you can go into and there’s a little bit different strategy that you should approach when it comes to these different different groups of people. So, like I said this, one is definitely the brings me the most profit and the most income is the new customer list, a customer list in general, then next to that, would probably be this one, and then this one so and the only reason is because these People have bought some things, so they’re more likely to buy stuff.

You know in the future because they’ve already purchased. So that being said, let’s go into the strategy on how you should actually go about doing these. So if we’re abandoned cart, I basically set up for emails. So I’ll just do one two three and four: hopefully you can see all these. I think you can so yeah so for you now some people will do three. I just like doing four. I think it makes kind of more sense, but you know you can do whatever, but the first email is.

It’s just going to be a reminder: email, okay, so you’re, basically just going to remind the person, the customer that they have something in their car that they can go check out, just making sure that they didn’t get distracted. Maybe they had to take the dog out. You know whatever it is just send them a reminder that there’s still stuff in their cart that they can go purchase, and I usually send this after about four hours.

Four hours, okay, usually send that about after four hours, I’ve tested with two hours tested with 60 minutes tested with six hours. For me, this one works the best, but you know I would recommend testing it out and seeing okay number two is going to be a reminder: email, okay, but we’re going to add urgency. So what I mean by this is that you’re going to remind the customer, hey, you got something in your cart but we’re going to add urgency by saying: hey, listen, you know this deal or we’re only going to save your cart for the next 12 hours in The next 24 hours, whatever you want to make it.

So if you you know, if you wait longer than that, then your cart will expire and you won’t get the deal which usually, when I’m running you know different. Usually, when I’m at running advertisements to things I run deals so I’ll do like a 25 % off 50 % off whatever it is, so people understand that they’re getting a deal. So if I say that you know your car’s going to expire, you might lose the deal then they might be more likely to buy okay.

So I usually do this after a whole day, then the third email is going to be a coupon of some sort and it could be a coupon incentive. Maybe buy one get one free whatever you want to make it to get people to to be more incentivize to purchase. You can do whatever you want here, but the reason I don’t do it on the second or first email is because I don’t want to just like come out swinging and give people money off.

That probably would have purchased anyways with these two emails here. I would rather go through these to have everybody buy from these. That was going to and then come in with the coupon later say yeah. So the coupon, like I said, could be anything then the last one is a coupon plus urgency. Okay, oh wait! I didn’t put okay, so the coupon. I usually do after day two and then this one I do after day three.

So it’s just like you know. One day in between, but the coupon flex urgency. Essentially what that is. Is you know you give them the coupon, so say it’s 50 % off you give them that coupon. But you say hey. It only lasts for the next 12 hours so go ahead and purchase. Now so you can redeem the coupon something like that, because this will make people more incentivized to go actually make the purchase.

So these are the four emails that I use. I will I actually do have sort of templates that I use that you can build off of, or you can use for yourself that I’ve linked down in the description below. So, if you do want to check those out, you can check them out. I probably will make templates for all these different ones that you can go ahead and check out if you so desire. But that being said go ahead and screenshot this, because I’m about to erase it so three two one.

So that was abandoned. Cart now we’re going to go into newsletter and customer emails which are kind of similar. I treat them sort of similar, but there are a few key differences that I’ll talk about. So I like to think of it as a time line. So I’m just going to draw out a will time line here so well and you could do it for any amount of time. I usually do it for two weeks. You could do it for three weeks.

You could do it for a month. You could do it for six months, like some people have six month. Email list doesn’t really matter in the beginning. Just get something going so I’d recommend like the two weeks. It would probably be good. So let’s say this is day zero. So this is the day that they signed up. We consider that day, zero in day 14, so this after two weeks of them being on your email list and the entire goal here, if they’re on the newsletter, is obviously to get them to buy something if they’re a new customer.

Obviously, you know keep retaining them as a customer and buy more stuff so day 0 we’re going to do okay, so Daisy our we’re going to do the welcome and incentive. So what do I mean by this if you’re on a newsletter? Basically, we’re going to say welcome to the newsletter here’s what you can expect, here’s, how often we email you. You know what kind of information that you can get you want. You want to establish right out the gate.

What kind of value they’re going to be getting from being on your newsletter, but most importantly, is if they’re on your newsletter is you have to give them the incentive that they signed up for so most the time when you have a newsletter, people are signing up For either a coupon, maybe a free ebook, maybe some sort of free item giveaway percentage off whatever it might be, that you’re giving them to sign up to your newsletter.

You want to make sure that you give them that incentive right off the bat, because that’s why they signed up in the first place right so for the newsletter definitely makes sure that that’s the case for the new customers you’re going to welcome to them. Tell them how long shipping time takes how they can contact you when I was how they can track their package stuff like that, and I’m also in the new customer email going to give them another incentive, which would be maybe like 20 % off your next purchase.

Something like that and honestly guys like I said this is my most profitable by far campaign, so many people buy from that new customer email that I give them like 20 % off. So definitely a good thing to do, and I leave a that link. I’ll have a template, email for that weather. You can check out so welcome inside then after I went to wait a day so day. Two. Let me actually spread this out a little bit so okay day, two, I’m going to give them some sort of value.

Okay, so what do I mean by that? So, let’s say we’re in like with fishing niche. What kind of value would those people be looking for? What kind of information would they be searching for? I think they might be interested in, like you know, top 10 fishing, lures or catfishing, or maybe something like the best new fishing boat or the best time to catch. A certain kind of you know the best techniques to use things like that.

You want to include either blog articles to other blogs, or preferably you’d like to send them back to your website, so you can actually start a blog on your own website and just do like top 10 tips top seven tips. Those are like really really good, both for quick thing and, for you know, people like list of things, so I would give them value they’re also on day four. I would give them value now. I’r going to show you guys how to set all this up in future articles.

So we can yeah, you know so don’t worry, but so two values in a row. Then we’re going to do this, we’re going to on day six we’re going to do a pitch. Let me write that so 100 me back pitch, basically you’re going to sell them, something that is some people call it a tripwire. Some people call it like a bait product, but essentially what you’re going to do is is pitch something. That’s sort of low cost so like seven to fifteen dollars, preferably under ten, actually does best.

In my experience, but you know something: that’s a little bit cheaper that somebody can be like out of seven bucks, all right, I’ll drop, seven bucks like no big deal and then, if you haven’t already seen the upsell article I’ll link it somewhere on here. So you can go ahead and check out the you know how to actually upsell people and make money off of that. So if you haven’t checked that out, definitely read it so we’re going to pitch them they’re on some sort of trip wire product and then on day seven.

So I’m not going to wait a day here, I’m just going to go straight to day seven we’re going to do a pitch we’re going to do a pitch plus urgency. So, just like with the abandoned cart emails, we’re going to say, hey this offer only last. You know the 50 % offer the you know. Usually I like to make this some sort of some sort of deal, but the pitch or the offer only lasts for the next 12 hours, the next 24 hours, whatever you want to make it so we’re going to add urgency and hopefully get people to buy if They don’t that’s fine.

We still have more. You know things that are in our newsletter, so I’ll wait another day we’ll go day, nine we’re going to give them more value. Okay, so another value piece preferably make it on your own blog, maybe funny meme, something like that. You know because the reason why is because we just pitched them twice right, so we want to make sure that we’re not constantly pitching we’re actually providing value in this email list as well, so we’re going to give them value there, then, on day 11, we’re again Going to give them value on day 11, then day 13 we’re going to do another pitch.

So it’s going to be a different product. You could either do something a little bit higher tier, maybe in the 20 to 30 dollar range, or you could stick with something in this tier. It really just depends on what you want to do. It’s you know, you might get better results with the the smaller price, but you know you can try out both do whatever you want, we’re going to pitch and that day 14 again we’re going to continue here and we’re going to do pitch plus urgency.

So this is actually how I would set up a two week, new customer or newsletter type of feel, and obviously you can just continue on with the process. You can switch it up a little bit if you want to. You know do whatever works best for you, but this is kind of the layout that I used myself and, like I said it accounts for about 30 % of of the revenue that I actually made from my store. So hopefully, this article was valuable for you guys if it was go ahead and hit that like button and also hit the subscribe, let me know that you liked it and you appreciate it and want me to continue doing it on a daily basis.

Like I said, I’m going to provide some templates that you can go off of for these emails if you like, and in the next article, because this is a series in the next article we’re going to be talking about how to actually set this stuff up. In the real world on the computer so stay stoked, because it’s going to be awesome midnight, oh, don’t mind a little up in the air, but not this side.

It up in the comments or in the description below All right. The first thing: That you’re going to need to know about email marketing is That you’re going to need a good email service provider. Now what that is, it allows You to do a ton of things really and if you don’t have one, if you’re doing email Marketing you’re legit crazy, But it allows you to do a Lot of things on automation like send out bulk emails like broadcast to all of your list.

It allows you to send Out a series of emails, which is what we call an autoresponder, that you emails, that you Pre-Write in a series – and it goes out automatically to people as they subscribe to your list – It allows you to segment Your list by tagging, people and a whole bunch of other cool things that you’ll learn about, especially if you get my 24 costly email, marketing mistakes guide and access to the free course.

But for the purposes of this Article, let’s stay focused, You need an email service provider, The one that I recommend is ConvertKit. You can check’em out In the description below or the link in the description below The reason why I chose ConvertKit,’cause I’ve tried other email Service providers in the past, like Click Funnels, for example, that were very limited. And very frustrating, and it didn’t allow me to do all the things that I need to do in order to serve the people.

That are joining my list So check out ConvertKit. All my future articles will be based around if you have ConvertKit. So let me tell you a story, though, of how I under-utilize Using automation in my when I first started off, With email marketing, I, like many others, just was Concerned on growing my list – And I didn’t really focus On the nurturing aspect, And that’s exactly what an Autoresponder allows you to do When people are joining your list, especially if you got from on YouTube and they’re coming into contact.

With you for the first time or you’re, running Advertisements through them, They don’t really know you that well yet, And so an autoresponder series is a series that you could Walk people from their journey from when they first come. Into contact with you to getting them excited to Take the next step with you, whether that’s buying an Affiliate product from you buying one of your own products or just setting them up for Something in the future, but helping them get some Quick wins in the process.

I was under-utilizing This’Cause, I was just focused on growing it and I would just blow through and maybe like write one followup In an autoresponder Series you should have for real legit. You Should shoot to aim from 10 to 20 email, followups That you’re literally walking people through a process You’re getting them to get to know you You’re entertaining them at the same time and you’re educatin’ them in a really really rock solid way.

Write this down a really rock solid way to build that relationship. Email Marketing System (Automate)

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in, but it’s the most important system that you can put into place for your business. I remember when I first started and I heard about email marketing I kept thinking. I don’t want to write letters to people and I don’t want to take time to do that and I don’t want to blog and all this stuff and in as I went on my journey in in creating my company and building it.

I realized that that is the most important aspect. Actually, that’s where all the sales take place, because in that email sequence that you have sent out to your customers, you have built a relationship and they have grown to like you know you and trust you, and that is why it’s more effective. Did you know that 34 percent of people worldwide have used email and that’s like 2.5 billion people? Think about it? Do you know anybody that doesn’t have an email account? There aren’t very many people, while the the rate of using email is going up in the business industry as its declining for personal use.

People are still using it for business, so people are still looking for those sales that they get from different stores or for content and information on different companies that they’ve subscribed to. So they expect to see those types of emails in their inbox and they’re looking for them. They have the option to unsubscribe. So if you’re providing something that they’re not interested in, then they can unsubscribe.

So that’s what makes it pretty cool you don’t have to harass or spam people, and I’m going to give you seven reasons why you need to get an email account setup. First of all, you own it, you own, the customers that are on your email list. Now what I mean by this, let’s use an example of Facebook groups versus an email marketing system – that’s put into place in your email or Facebook group. You could have 10,000 20,000 30,000 followers, which is phenomenal, and maybe your have built your business to the point where you can just offer something and talk about it, maybe you’re doing affiliate marketing and right away.

You make $ 25,000 in sales. I’ve seen people do that and that that’s why Facebook groups are so awesome, but Facebook can also come along and take that group away from you. They can shut you down for any reason they want. You can try to fight it, but you have no power. You have no control and getting that back. You have no list of names when you do an email list, you have collected emails from all of your potential customers and, you might say yeah there with an autoresponder like activecampaign or Aweber, or something like that.

How am I supposed to own it? Well, you can export that list of names and then have a backup system where you put them on a Google Drive or something like that. So if that company, that software company, the autoresponder shuts down, you still have those names and you can go off and start using a different autoresponder and import those same names right into the list. I also recommend, if you understand what email marketing is to keep a list of your sequence, the emails that you’ve created, don’t only put them in the autoresponder, but keep a keep a copy of everything.

Just in case something happens and you’ve got it all that work. You don’t want to lose it all right, so you own that list. You can take it with you now you might be in multi-level marketing and you have a business built up with your company. That company can shut down for various reasons, maybe things that are beyond their control. You who have built an email Act was at lists on the side. Can once that company shuts down, you can go back to your customers and share your story and tell them that this multi-level marketing company has shut down.

You know, but we have other options and I’ve done some research, and this is something I found instead, maybe you’re in the health care industry and you everybody loves the shakes that that company provided – and you found another company that is equal or better and hey guys, Follow me here and they will, because they they’ve learned to know you like you and trust you, so you can bring that those people with you wherever you go or maybe you just decide to get into a different business.

It’s amazing how that list is yours and will stay with you now number two, it’s more effective than social media for customer acquisition, people who use emails and build that relationship with people through that email sequence are more likely to build that person into a customer than If they only use a Facebook group – and I’m not saying Facebook groups are bad at all, I know people are very very successful.

They’ve got lucrative businesses there, but think about this. Facebook again has control with all the posts that you make not every single one of your twenty thousand followers are going to see what you’re posting, when you send an email out to twenty thousand people, that the percentage of people are actually going to read it or Higher because you have a little bit more control, you’re, sending it directly to their email account and hopefully most of them go into the inbox, and there are different strategies you can use, which is another training on trying to make sure that they go into the inbox.

Where they’re supposed to go all right number three is economic and cost effective. It is very cost effective to use email. Think of the other strategies you can use to acquire customers. You can use snail mail, you can send out bulk mail in you know you at the United States Post Office the old-fashioned way you can run ads and magazines. You can run ads on Facebook. You can put something in a newspaper.

You could have telemarketing. All of those other ways are going to cost you more money than if you just hit a button and send it to your entire list. It’s so much more cost effective. So much more, it’s easier and it’s actually automated and once you put somebody into a sequence, they just keep getting the emails that you have built. That system that you have put into place. They just keep getting them and you sit back and let the system do the work.

So it’s actually a lot easier as well number, four, its personable personable, personal and customizable, and what I mean by personal. You have the ability to actually put a person’s name on that letter. I know that in the email world email marketing world, we call a newsletter, but you don’t really want it to be like a newsletter, the old way that you would think of it like a little newspaper ad.

You want it to be more of a letter to that person, and so you can be more personal in that letter. You can tell stories about yourself and why. You know how you came to the conclusion that what you’re offering them works and why it’s better than such-and-such you may offer to embed articles that you have made so that they can get more information. You can also tag them according to their interest or according to a purchases they’ve made.

So here I have a sequence that I’ve started. Everybody goes in it once adorned throughout this same sequence, but then I can tag them. Let’s say somebody purchases a course that I made well, I’m not going to keep telling them about my course. So they’re going to go off onto another sequence and I’ll start talking about something else. Okay, they’ve got the course that I’ve offered now they can start building their business and looking at such-and-such.

Instead, maybe I have I know about different interests that my different customers in my list have. Some of them want to are interested in affiliate marketing. Some of them are only listed interested in email marketing. Well, I’m not going to talk about affiliate marketing with people that aren’t interested in it. If that makes sense, even though the affiliate marketers need the email marketing, it doesn’t work the same the other way.

So I can really customize my list and my message to my clients and you just get better at it. You start out with just general lists, but then the more you grow your list and the more you take the time to get to know them. The more you can be customized that list to their interest and to what they’ve purchased number five its action-oriented you can trigger your list, like. I just said that if somebody purchases something you can trigger that person to go off onto another list that you’ve made, you can go in later and do special campaigns.

Let’s say: you’ve got everybody running through your sequence and you’ve got all your tags in there and things like that, but maybe down the road. Maybe a year after you’ve started your email sequencing system. Maybe you created a course on Facebook Ads. Maybe you started really researching something like that and you’ve grown in your skills, and maybe you created a course that you’re selling you could do a campaign and only talk about that course and then only send it to people that you think would benefit from it.

A brand new person who’s, just getting their feet wet, probably doesn’t have to need to hear a lot about Facebook ads and and everything that goes into it because it can get overwhelming. So you have the ability to do that. It’s proven that action-oriented emails are much more effective than a simple newsletter, so you always ask them to do something, and it could be as simple as like. Hey comment below you know which one of these three different autoresponders do you like best or you could do a polling or you could do a little survey and things like that within your emails, which is kind of cool number, six, I’m losing my track.

There number six, it’s measurable. If you sent out emails or mail in bulk mail, like US Postal Service, you don’t have any way to measure what happened to that those letters or even if you do a Facebook ad there’s you have some analytics, but not like you. Do in an email sequence you can run analytics. You can get statistics on how many people opened your email. You can get statistics on how many people actually clicked the link inside and did the action that you asked them to do, and you can also find out how many people unsubscribe.

If you have a high rate of unsubscribers from one particular email, you might go back and look at that and say whoa did. I say something in that email that offended people – or maybe I didn’t give enough content or something like that or maybe you’re noticing. Halfway down a lot of people stopped clicking, there’s just different things that you can see. You can measure your business and measure what’s happening in the emails and last but not least, you can do a B splitting you could send the exact same email out with two different subject lines and see which one works better.

Sometimes it’s not the content. It’s the fact that they didn’t click in and read it because the subject line wasn’t catchy enough and didn’t pique their curiosity where they wanted to go in. But you have the ability to do that and see which one works better. So those are seven reasons, or that was six and there’s seven. That was seven reasons I want to give you one more actually a little bonus, one most people when they look at their emails are sitting on a mobile device.

This is just a big huge benefit. Think of yourself, when you’re sitting in the doctor’s office or you’re sitting waiting for your kids game or something like that, most people go right to their device that they’re holding right in their hand their phone and those emails are popping in on that device. So you’re you’ve got that benefit as well. If you did all those other things that I talked about, they’re not going to be right there in right in front of them all the time like emails are so that’s another benefit of using email.

Marketing is the device of the way that we can send it to people all right. So that’s seven different reasons, plus a bonus of why email marketing is important and why you need it for your business and I’m my personal opinion is number one was the most important reason you own your customers. I can’t stress that enough because, like I said I just readed a couple that had been making six figures a month in their business, their Facebook account got shut down.

Now that this particular couple had different revenues of income set up, they didn’t rely on just one. So it didn’t shut their business down, but they definitely lost a huge avenue of income by that Facebook group being shut down, so you own it and that’s what’s important about it. I have a free course that I put together e-mail marketing one on one. If you’ve never done email marketing before and you’re curious about how it works, it’s free doesn’t cost you a dime, go ahead and click the link below and you’re more than welcome to go through it.

If you see things as you go through the course that may be questions, I didn’t answer or different areas that you would like more information them. Definitely contact me and let me know – and I can I will keep going back in there and tweaking it and making it better, so click the link and get in there and dig in and get your email system put into place. It does take some time, but I promise you. It will be well worth it.

3 Email Marketing Tips For Beginners

So in this article it’s going to be a very concise and simple way to approach email so that you’re able to sell more and get way more return on investment.

For from an email list that you’ve built up hi there, my name is brandon brashears and I create daily marketing articles here. So, if you’re looking to grow your brand or your business with digital marketing, I really suggest that you subscribe here. I do everything from Facebook Ads to pay-per-click to SEO to basically every topic related to digital marketing. So if you’re looking to grow your business with digital marketing be sure to hit that subscribe, button and bells for notifications and if you enjoy this article, be sure to give it a thumbs up and comment below.

And let me know what you think. So, let’s talk about email, marketing, email marketing so often, and I work with lots of clients and they have a hard time figuring out exactly how to use email to sell, and it’s actually very, very simple. So, typically, when we’re starting to send out an email, we need to first have one overarching goal that we’re trying to achieve so sending out email for just for the sake of sending out.

Email is not helpful, and so there’s a few things. People ask well: how often should I be sending emails and how often should I keep in touch and all kinds of other questions like that and they get really complicated, but it’s actually pretty simple. So first I suggest, as a rule, for almost every business out there that you’re sending an email once a week. If you can now, I say if you can, because hopefully you’re creating content and doing other things like that.

But if you’re not sure what to sell then sell engagement right, we typically have three levels of funnel, so typically an email will be targeting whatever you know, stage of the funnel or the segment that you’re that you’re trying to reach, and with that you need to Have an appropriate goal so, for example, if you have somebody who signs up for your newsletter, it may not be the right time to send an offer.

That’s hey sign up for my highest level, coaching program so, depending on the relationship that you have with this segment and kind of what your end goal is you’re going to have to really figure out. What is the best objective, based on the funnel stage that we have right now, a lot of times, people don’t segment their email lists and so, as a result, they’re just sending to everybody their best customers and people that are brand-new in their funnel.

So make sure that you’re segmenting your list, because it’s very very important to be communicating properly with different groups of your list. Now, if you have analysts list, that’s just awareness, it’s good to send people to awareness content, to drive them further into your funnel and to build a better relationship with them. So, for example, with that kind of an email, you could send them. Two additional articles to Facebook pages to Instagram profiles, ask them to connect and take the further step in your relationship and it’ll help you to build and diversify your traffic as well so they’re going to be able to see offers there if it’s evaluation a lot of Times it’s good to start with a medium range or a small range product.

So if they’ve know about you, maybe they’ve been on a webinar. Now I’m sending them offers and things like that is a great way to engage them. And then, if they are current customers – and they know – you know your best kind of customers – that you have send them higher priced ticket offers and get them to buy more from you, because when you can get someone to buy more their average lifetime value goes up And if you’re able to increase the average lifetime value of client, then you can spend more to acquire customers, which is great, actually created a article if you click on this card up here, to check that out, but with the email figuring out.

What that end objective is first, is most important and there’s really only three steps after you figure it out what the objective is to get people to take action. So the first thing that you have to do is you have to get the email open. There’s really. Four types of emails that I like to send out and I use them over and over in different variations. I don’t tend to send these every single time, though, because people will start to get worn out from them, so the first type of email is a blind curiosity, and this is like the BuzzFeed clickbait article right, you’ll, never believe what we’re up to this week, or I couldn’t believe that he actually did this or you know something like that right, you’re like what could it be and it makes you want to open it and see what the rest of the story is.

People want to be included in the story and so having a headline like that is helps to get opens. The next is direct benefit. So if you want to say something like this, will clean your carpets better than anything, you’ve ever used right, we’re using a little bit of curiosity, but we’re also giving a direct benefit. People will say: hey. I have a dirty carpet. I need to clean my carpets. Awesome, I’m going to open this email, the Latin next one is urgency or scarcity.

So if you have a product that is you truly have urgency or scarcity? Maybe you have a special. You could say this offer ends tomorrow at midnight. Then people will say. Oh man, I don’t miss out and they’ll open your email and then the last one that I like to use. A lot is proof or specific results, and with that I say like you know, let’s say you have a business opportunity or something right. He made five thousand two hundred twelve dollars in six minutes.

It’s really specific and it’s results, and so people that are interested in making money would be interested in opening that email. So again getting the open of the email is the very first step. If people don’t open your email, they’re not going to be able to read what’s inside of it, and that brings us to step two so step two is to get them to read. What’s inside and then click so doing both of those things.

There’s a few things that I like to do to increase the clicks on emails number one. Is I like to use a variety of links inside of it now it’s important that you don’t put only links in there because you can get flagged for spam, but typically I’ll do a variety of both buttons and also text links. That say, you know click here. So, instead of having a button, it’ll say the actual word I like to be testing those just to see what the audience clicks more and it’s good to have both visual call-outs that are there buttons that are different from everything.

So people can see, but in general people are viewing emails on their mobile phones a lot more than they are on desktop, and so, if you create an email, it needs to be very easy to read on mobile and the button needs to be there. That’s easy to click, but again the whole purpose of the email is to sell the click to take the next action so figuring out. Just that one specific action that you’re looking for them to take and then selling that click is, is very very important and it’ll help you to get more traffic to your your web page.

Now there are some exceptions to this rule. I think that if you’re trying to get somebody to respond to you having them like right, write back and respond is actually a good tactic. A lot of times. If you have the ability to respond, dracs people so asking them to use email like a medium that they use it with their friends and family, that’s a cool thing. So if you’re not going for the click, ask for the reply, so in general you don’t need to sell everything once they’re on the page.

So the the email body that you’re writing and creating all that you’re trying to do is to sell the click to the landing page. You don’t need to do too much. You can again use the four elements that I spoke of in the email headlines on how to get people over to your your web page. So it’s the Curiosity, direct benefits, urgency or scarcity and then proof and results. So you can use all of those elements to drive people to your landing page as well, and then once they’re at the landing page, they’ve made a decision right.

So they’ve already done an open they’ve done a click and now they’re at the landing page. Let the landing page do this sell and you can use tools like articles and a lot more long-form content and there you can really do the heavy lifting of selling and have all of the elements that help to make an effective sales page or landing page and Really at that point, it’s it’s time to take. You know that that uses the additional tools that you have inside of a web page instead of trying to do everything inside of the email.

So one thing, though, is that emails that are boring never get opened and if they do get opened, they end up actually harming your brand, so make sure that you’re not selling sending boring emails, but also don’t be too high, P or clickbait T that you’re not Actually, providing what you’re talking about so it’s a very, very fine balance, I’d, say being useful, being educational being entertaining are sure ways to get your emails opened and to have people trained to use your email.

So I hope that this was helpful. If you have any questions or need help with email, please comment below I’m happy to help and if you enjoyed this article like the like the article and please if you enjoy digital marketing or if you want to grow your business with, did your marking consider subscribing? I again make daily marketing articles here and I run a digital marketing agency so have a great day, and I will see on the next article have a good one.

Email Marketing – 12 Best Practices

I’r going to assume you know what email marketing is and you’re frustrated. You’ve been sending out sequences and you’re just not sure why people are not opening up your emails, and these are 12 different practices, check them off, make sure you’re doing these 12 and then you should see your email open rates go up if not double number one Is make sure you keep your list cleaned out if you keep sending emails to people who are not opening them, it kind of goes it’s kind of like an algorithm, and the autoresponder is picking up on that, so that they’re, just assuming that what you’re sending isn’t Going to get opened so you’re kind of hurting yourself by continuously sending the people that aren’t interested in what you have and you know not.

Everybody wants the information. You have that’s just a fact of life and by keeping them on your list. Another problem is you’re paying for those emails that are going out after you start getting into the thousands, and your numbers keep getting bigger your fee for the autoresponder goes up according to how much you use it, and if you’re sending out thousands of emails that nobody’s Opening then it’s really just waste of money as well, so you really want to have them removed completely and clean it up now.

One way you can do that in active campaign is active campaign actually will track the emails that don’t open up and it will actually remove them. If you ask it to so, that’s another feature of active campaign that it will automatically do it. Some Auto casado responders require you to go in and take them out by hand and it’s much more cumbersome and time-consuming. So that is a nice feature in the tracking part of active campaign.

Now, let’s look at number two. You want to make sure you don’t over. Deliver and what I mean by that is some people in email marketing say: oh, you should get yourself in front of everybody every single day and you know keep on emailing every single day. If you do, that, think of yourself there’s been people, I’m sure that if he mailed you every single day, you really get tired of seeing their name pop-up.

I had one person that was emailing me and I actually enjoyed their content. I was opening it, but then it was every single day, so it wasn’t a treat anymore. It was like another email. So if you just send two to three times a week and and be a little bit inconsistent, then people go oh there’s an email. I was looking for one I’d really enjoy their content. I pretty much have mine set up to where every 10 days I send roughly four.

So it is probably two to three week. It comes out that way, five every two weeks so, but I’m not consistent in and how many days I skip, I kind of mix it up a little bit, but just stay in front of them, but don’t be in front of them so much that they start Ignoring you and they feel like you’re annoying and number three again do not send the email every day, so I just talked about being in front of them every day and now you want to be consistent, so you want to send emails, but not every day.

Alright number four do not email on weekends. If you start tracking and looking at the algorithms and and your analytics of your emails, you’re going to notice that most people do not open them on the weekends Friday Saturday, Sunday pretty much skip those three days and only send between 11:30 to about 2:30 Monday through Thursday you’ll find that those are the best times that people will open up their emails and, if you think about it, that’s when people are usually at work and they’re, you know they’ve got the work done: they’re sittin there, maybe they’re getting ready to go to lunch And they’ll start checking their emails and there you are don’t sell in every mean email.

This is number five out of 12. If you sell something in every single email again, I’ve had people. I’ve enjoyed their content, but then it was like okay. What are you trying to sell me and if people you know spread that out, there’s the 80/20 rule if 80 percent of the time you’re just sending content good, valuable content, 20 % of the time you’re trying to offer them a tool or sell them. Something then you’ll find that that’s a good balance number six make sure you segment and tag your emails.

And what do I mean by this, even though you might not understand how to use it or how it’s going to benefit you right I’ll, do it anyway and down the road it’s going to help you. So let’s say I send out a lead, magnet and in that lead magnet I am in health and fitness and maybe in this particular lead magnet. I started talking about lifting weights. Maybe it was something I hadn’t been talking about.

I was into nutrition and shakes and maybe just getting out and exercising and moving well all of a sudden, I started talking about weight, lifts or not weight lifting but lifting weights as part of the routine, and so I sent out a free lead, magnet on how To gradually increase the level of your weights – and here are some simple, routine workouts to do – and people got the free lead, magnet they. They were added to my list.

Well, I can tag them weights and later maybe I come across something else. Maybe I want to pull those people that were interested in the weights and send them just specific information like a campaign and not part of the continuous email sequence and campaigns are more like special groups of emails. That are more specific and I can pull them really fast. These are all the people that liked to talk about weights and here’s a new workout program that I actually found that I could offer to them and sell to them as an affiliate program, so tag them segment them based on interests based on why they’re getting on Your list, so, even though everybody on my list might be interested in starting a business, not every single person per se might want to start an affiliate marketing business.

Maybe some of them are interested in my email, marketing and and maybe some other things that all businesses need, but I can tag them the people that specifically want affiliate marketing. I can cater to them a little bit in more depth than the people that wanted. Some of the other information – if that makes sense, alright number 7, ask questions so that you get responses in your email. It actually increases deliverability.

So if I ask people specific questions and they respond, that’s kind of like having engagement on social media, if you think about it, when you post on Facebook and people respond – and you have all that engagement, your ratings kind of go up. Well, it works’we an email when you’re responding and engaging that kind of puts you up a little bit and you’ll get those emails. We’ll definitely go, have more deliverability rates in into the email boxes.

All right number, eight use stories and the reason you want to use stories is you want people to get to know you and your stories and how they relate to different, analogies and things that you’re telling people don’t always want to just be talked to, and you Know if I, if I wrote an email to you and said, oh, I love these weights and this is a routine I started doing you got to try it as opposed to telling the story of how you know.

I got tired of just walking every day. I wanted to up it a little bit and I felt like I was too old, but I started out with two pounds and I even sat in my chair and you know tell a funny story. I mean: could you imagine someone sitting in a chair with two pound weights? It’s it’s kind of a visual, that’s ridiculous, because two pounds are not much, but it happens, and actually I did do that but um and then how I built all the way up to twelve pounds and I feel so much stronger.

And it took me this much time, but you can tell that story and and tell these success that went with it and then people were like wow. If she can do that, and she wasn’t embarrassed to start with two pounds and sitting in a chair, then that’s something I can do so tell a story and it just makes it more relatable number nine and you will hope that one day you will have this Problem but warm up the IP, and what does that mean? If you have a list of emails like a hundred thousand, you cannot send all hundred thousand emails at once.

It’ll, look like spam and autoresponders do not like them. So one of the things you can do is send out your emails in 5000 increments, so you might send them out every so many minutes or every so much time in between and just kind of warm it up, and then that way it doesn’t look like spam. Now I know some people when they start getting those huge numbers, they will actually go out and use two different autoresponders just in case one shuts down.

They always have the other one that will keep working, because the the bread-and-butter of your business is you in a list. I just got an email from somebody that an influencer I’m on their email list, and they just mentioned how they just lost their account on Facebook. It was shut down, 25,000 people were following them on there and it just got shut down out of the blue, but they have an email list.

So you have to make sure you build this email list now you might say well what if the autoresponder gets shut down? Well, it can, but you can also export those email names. Every so often make sure you export your list and you keep that in a safe place and if it does get shut down, you have that list. You can import it into another autoresponder and that’s how you own it number 10 make sure people can unsubscribe to your list and what and I know legally, you have to do that.

But have you ever tried to unsubscribe to somebody’s list only to find out they’re still sending you emails? I can name somebody right now. I know I’m on their list like four times I’ve readed them I’ve. It’s an influencer. I’ve signed up for a couple things and I noticed every single time. I click a button icon the list new again, even though I keep using the same email address. So I’m sure if I unsubscribe I’m going to have to unsubscribe two or three more times so make sure your button works and make sure that people aren’t getting duplicated into your list.

My list I have it set up where they can only come in once under one email and the system will pick it up if it’s a duplicate so that they won’t be on several lists all right number. Eleven, we have two left make sure you always have a call to action. Now you might say: well, you just told me not to sell something. Every time will call to action doesn’t mean to always sell something. Your call to action can be hey click, this link.

If you would like to try this autoresponder, which I do have a link below so there’s your call to action. I could also be promoting my new Facebook group click. The link call to action I could promote. I could ask a question and ask you to respond to something: that’s a call to action, so see how the call to action does not have to be selling something, but I’m asking you to do something. I could just simply ask you: hey, give me a thumbs up if this was helpful or make a comment in the chat, the the comments below and let me know what you think those are call to actions subscribe to.

My blog, that’s a call to action. I hope you heard all of those I just gave you about six call to actions pick one at least alright number 12. This is the last one, and this is what is really important, especially if you’re new don’t use swipe files now. What does that mean? If you signed up to become an affiliate marketer when you go to clickbank, and you find that item that you want to sell, they give you all their files like swipe files and emails like that.

You can just take them and copy and paste them in and it sounds enticing and it sounds wonderful when you’re new because you’re like I don’t know what to do. But if you use exactly what they give you it’s called a swipe file. Then so is everybody else and it’s going to be picked up as spam, because a lot of people are using that same one and even if it doesn’t get picked up, it doesn’t really say who you are.

So, let’s say you did five emails. We call the soap opera sequence when you’re introducing yourself and warming up to your audience, those first few emails and then all of a sudden. You have a swipe file and it totally does not represent who you are they’re, not using the same language, they’re, not using the same vocabulary or anything, and it just really throws things off. What I suggest you do is look at that file.

Take it and edit it, you can still take that information, use it as a guide and make it become you put yourself in there. You could even start it out with a story and that really warms up your audience and lets them see that you’re consistent in your emails, so I just gave you 12 different ways that you could best practices for your email. Hopefully, one of those will be something you weren’t doing and you can start using that back best practice and get those emails to get open.

You already heard all of my call to actions give me the thumbs up the subscribe all that stuff, but um. You know how it works I do have. This is my real collection. I do have some playlists about email, marketing and I’ve got the link below if you’re, really digging in and trying to get your email marketing up and running. I have some articles that I made, and I put them together in an ending list.

Playlist and the link is below so definitely check that out. So that’ll help you with them with your email list.

How to Buy Emails for Your Email List ✉

How do you do that? One way that a lot of articles out there will tell you to do it is to go. Ask your family and your friends to join your list. That’s fine! If that’s the way you want to do it, but most of the time they will be on your list just to make you feel good about numbers.

How would you like to put emails on your list with potential prospects, so I’m going to show you how to do that today? Yes, it is a way of purchasing them, but it’s not just purchasing a list of names. There is these people will opt in to your email list according to what you have to offer and I’ll show you that today, first of all, before we get started, my name is Vanessa D Brule, and on my blog I will help you to earn money.

Save time and find balance in the process today, we’re going to talk about buying email addresses, so you can start building your email list and start making some money first before we start with that, I want to go over the email list just to make sure you Understand what it is and why it’s so important – and I keep on emphasizing this because I heard about email lists when I first started my business and I was one of those people that sat back and said I don’t need that.

I don’t need to do that. I don’t want to send emails to people I just don’t want to, and it wasn’t until I was probably too long before I start at my list and realized. That was a big mistake not to do even though I kept hearing how important it was. So I’m going to tell you again how important this is: it’s probably the most important part of your business. Let’s go over how you build it and then we’ll talk about why it’s so important and then I’ll show you how you can build it by buying some addresses all right.

First of all, you have a free thing that you’re going to offer a lot of times. People will offer a checklist or a PDF or an e-book a course. I think courses are one of the best things that you can offer that I notice I get most of my results from offering free courses, so the bigger that free thing is the better, and this is why it needs to be bigger, because the online marketing industry Is becoming more competitive and I’m not saying don’t do it, but you got ta out, give everybody else so think of it.

That way, what can I give that’s better than what so-and-so is giving so people will click my link instead, when you offer that free thing you’re offering it on your platform, my platform is youtube. That’s my number one platform, so I usually offer my free thing in my links on my YouTube chat: YouTube articles not every time, but probably a good percentage of the time if you’re using Facebook Instagram whatever that other platform is that you’re using that’s how you bring Traffic into the free thing now you’re going to have them land on a landing page, I use clickfunnels for my landing page.

I always have my link below if you ever want to check that out and on that landing page before they get the free thing. They have to give me their email address and their name when they click it. It triggers a little a little trigger on there. That tells them to go to my autoresponder and I send them an email and give them the free thing. Now. What is the autoresponder? An autoresponder is like your mailman and mine is active campaign and I have that trigger that.

It tells it to put it onto my email list, put it into active campaign, and then there is a sequence of emails that I’ve already built. That will go out to that person. This is where sales are made. I don’t know if you’ve already tried to spam. Most people have in the beginning, they’re so excited about their product and their new business that they start telling everybody on Facebook and on Instagram hey.

You know I’ve got this great shake, that’s going to help you lose weight and you’re so excited about it, and you know it works, but just putting it out there and telling people they’re not going to buy it they’re going to go. That’s annoying. Why are you putting this on Facebook? That’s not why I’m here, I’m here to communicate and have relationships with my friends not to be sold things and that’s why that doesn’t work and that’s why that’s called spamming.

I think we all have done that in the beginning, especially because we were so excited not because we were trying to spam, but the right way to do it is to give something for free. So if you have health and fitness, you could give a checklist of some ways to help improve your list. Maybe ways to change your mindset. Maybe you wrote a little ebook that you wanted to give them and get them on through your autoresponder onto that email list, and this is where the money is made.

You are warming them up and getting them to know you and then every once in a while. You’ll offer something and they get to know you they’re opening up your emails and they’ll say you know what I really like this person I’ve connected with them, I’m going to try that shape that she was talking about now. Look, it took a lot longer to get there, but that’s how it works. Now, how am I going to get email addresses on my email list? I’r brand new and it’s so frustrating all right.

Now, I’m going to show you this. Is you and you have your new autoresponder set up and you’ve got your sequence in there and you’ve been giving away the free thing, and maybe you’ve got about five people on it? Maybe a fifty maybe of a hundred, but you know you’re, just starting. It’s new – and here is we’re just going to say Joe over here Joe – can be a girl’s name or a boy’s name right, Joe how’s.

That and Joe has been at this for a very very long time and Joe has a huge list. Joe has been very successful in his or her business. Joe has over two hundred thousand emails, maybe five hundred thousand. Who knows how many but Joe decided I have been selling through my email list, but now my list is so big. I’r going to start sharing my lists so that other people can take advantage of the names that I have on there, but I’m going to charge them a fee.

So joe says I’ll tell you what I will sell you for every click that you get. I will charge you fifty five cents and these prices are usually roughly forty cents to like 80 cents. I’ve seen right now, but Joe’s going to charge you fifty five cents for every person that clicks. You were email now, you’re saying thinking. What do you mean? Okay? So you’re going to tell Joe here I have here’s my website or here’s my product or here’s my funnel page, here’s the free thing, I’m giving away.

Will you please run my ad, I’m going to say ad or my email through your list and I’m going to buy a hundred clicks from you, so that would be fifty five dollars and Joe’s takes your fifty five dollars. Joe runs your ad or your email lit a little email, whatever it is through his list or her list and once there’s a hundred clicks, because you paid four hundred the run will stop and then right away.

I did this the first time I did this. Oh, my gosh, it was back within 20 minutes. It was that fast. It was extremely fast. I thought it was going to take two or three days and boom. It came right back in so out of those hundred clicks. A good average is about thirty percent. If 30 percent of those people now that’s good, I’m just giving you numbers every list is different. If you can get thirty percent of those people to opt-in to your list and then you’ve done well, if you get 20 percent fine, you might say well I’ll.

Try! Somebody else maybe joe’s list isn’t working for me. So I’m going to go to somebody else. Maybe you find somebody where you’re getting 40 percent and go hey and now I’m going to buy 500. Will you do it again, so you have to go in I’m going to give you a link below it says, buy email, lists below, there’s a link and you go into that site and you can find different people that are selling ads on their big long list And you can go in there and find the right person for you pay attention.

Some of them might say. I specialize in health and fitness, or I specialize or in online marketing they’re, going to tell you what kind of list they have. Some of them are called tier 1, the, where they’re, basically from European nations and from the United States and Australia, and some so pay attention to the details, there’s a link below, but that how you buy emails for your email list. As far as do I recommend it or do I not it’s really up to you, you will go in and you will see articles that say absolutely do not do that and other people say you know what it’s a great way to build your list.

So you really have to decide for yourself. Yes, I did. I have done it to help build my list when it was small and I got anywhere from 20 % to 40 % opt-ins on my lists. But I will say that when it is more encouraging to send emails out to 200 people than it is to five people – and it just makes you feel like you’re, reaching more people, it honestly is up to you, but I wanted to show you how to do It why people do it and there you go the mechanics if this was helpful, give me a thumbs up and if you have any questions, go ahead and put them in the comments and in the meantime I will see you on the next article thanks for reading.

Today,

5 Email Marketing Examples

I’ve already made a article, a couple articles about what email marketing is and I’ll put those at the end as a reference. If you’d like to look at them, if you’re not sure – and I’ve also have a free course that you can hit below on how to set up your email marketing automated system now, what I’m going to do right now is review. What email marketing is very quickly before I give you five examples.

Basically, email marketing is a system, that’s automated. This is where passive income can happen and that’s what most people are looking for when they’re looking for online business, not everybody is looking for that, but this part of your business would definitely be passive income once you set it up, it keeps working when you’re doing Something else and that for me, that’s what I’m looking for now.

What is email marketing email marketing is, when you use your platform, your social media platform that you’ve decided to build up, whether it be YouTube or Instagram LinkedIn. Instead, Instagram didn’t I Facebook, okay, Twitter, all those different social media platforms. What you’re doing is you’re offering people on those platforms, something for free or maybe you’re running ads, and you said: hey I’ve got this small cookie book that I made of recipes that will help you lose weight.

If you follow these recipes for one week or thirty days, whatever it is, you could lose ten pounds and most people are going to say: hey she’s got all the recipes written out, I’m going to go ahead and and give her my email address. For that I mean that’s a no-brainer, it’s free, and what do I get out of it? I could lose ten pounds and I’m looking to lose 10 pounds see how that works. It has to be something that’s going to solve a problem for people and that they want to give you that email address.

Now. What do you do with the email address? Big whoop right, I got an email address. I didn’t sell anything. What does it do? You then set up an automated sequence of emails where you introduce yourself, you start warming up to people, get them to know like and trust you and then you can link some little sales things in there. So you might, you know, get that. Give them that ebook with the recipes and then you can keep talking about you know, introduce yourself and then start talking about other recipes that could be helpful or different nutritional foods that you want them to keep eating, and then you might say hey.

This is a shape that I use. That has been very helpful. I get all my nutrition and boom there you go. You try to sell that shake as you’re talking about the same content. So that’s how email marketing works. Let’s turn that off. Okay – sorry about that. Anyway, and then you have it all automated, I have a free course below where I show you how to set that up, but sometimes you want to do what they call a campaign you might might want to come in and use different styles and things of emails.

That’s what I’m going to show you today different things that you can do you don’t want to just keep blah blah blah doing the same thing you want to start putting in some different styles of emails. Now, why do we use email marketing? It’s proven that email marketing helps to improve, increase, subscriber engagement. Now, why do you want that engagement again, people buy from you after they get to know you like you and trust you and they might have to have seven or eight what I call touches or contacts from you before they’ll, even start to feel that way.

Think of yourself, I know a lot of people compared email marketing to dating when you date someone you don’t right away on that. First date fall madly in love. Maybe some people do they think they do, but in general most people need seven or eight different contacts. You need to go out with them and get to know them, and it takes a few days it takes. It may be a month. It takes some people longer than that, but the more you are in contact with someone, the more you either like them or you don’t right.

It’s a friendship works. The same way hey I like that person. I want to spend more time with them and that’s how email marketing is so. It really is a wonderful way to build relationships and get people to know you like you and trust you and then they’ll buy from you now here’s example number one. I call it after the free thing, so let’s say you gave them something for free. Maybe you gave them some workout exercises to do totally free.

Maybe you made a PDF with 30 different yoga exercises or weightlifting whatever you’re into okay, but now you’re going to say to them. Hmm see that maybe you’re starting to hurt – maybe you weren’t in in shape, so doesn’t feel too good. Does it? Are you experiencing sore muscles because you’ve been out of shape and yeah? Of course they probably are, and so then you can offer them a foam roller which adds to helping them still exercise, but the foam roller will have different, stretching exercises and things they can do and they can buy that foam roller from you.

That’s just an example. Now this person probably happens to sell all kinds of exercise equipment, but maybe you’re in the exercise or healthcare industry and you’re, not really selling products. You can always go to Amazon sign up as an Amazon associate and offer that foam roller to kind of complement. The business that you have, if that makes sense, and then you can make seven to nine percent off of each sale that you make so pretty cool.

So after you give somebody that free thing, what can you follow up with with something that you could maybe sell them that still helps solve a problem? Now this next one is from Rent the Runway and I couldn’t copy it because it’s kind of scrolling. So if you want to read it as I talk, but basically in this one they’re telling people don’t go, buy a dress and that’s I catching to me. What do you mean? Don’t go, buy a dress, I need a wedding dress or I need a dress to go to that wedding.

You tell me not to buy one well, this company, rents, dresses and what they’re saying is they use some of the catchy phrases? As do you want to be like the 27 dresses girl in that movie, you could rent a dress for the wedding for the rehearsal for the you know, for the bridal shower and you could rent three dresses cheaper than you could buy one. So that’s what they’re trying to sell is renting, but it’s kind of like reverse psychology, that headline because most people think oh, I have to buy and we’re in that mentality we’re not used to renting things like dresses.

So I thought this one was pretty catchy and I wanted you to see how they even had it scrolling, but that’s something you could do with your own business. Maybe say you know you don’t need to do such-and-such. You could do this and said um so kind of use some reverse psychology, especially in the healthcare industry. You know everybody thinks that they have to do heavy, lift with late weightlifting or cardiovascular exercise when you can still lose weight and still get in shape without jumping around.

If you eat right and move see what I’m saying you don’t have to jump around and do all those hard exercises, which is really why a lot of people won’t do it, they don’t want to jump around and have to do that kind of exercise. So I call that one reverse psychology tell them they don’t have to do something and then tell them what they could do instead. Now number three is share your pain. I thought this one was pretty good.

This person wrote this out again, you can stop the article and read it, I’m not going to read it to you, but share your pain on your journey on on on why you are where you’re at instead of trying to sell an item say this is where I was, and these were all the things that I did wrong to get to where I’m at today and you’re, sharing all the things you did wrong and somebody reading it might say. Well, what did you do right and that’s kind of where the catchy tagline is at the bottom after they hear about everything you did wrong, maybe in the next email the third email could be.

You know this is what I did to solve the problem. So the person that wrote this probably has a good 3 to 5 email sequences that they can write to finally get you where what is it that you did that worked because this person keeps sharing. I think it’s Paul Paul’s story. I know Daniel okay, so Daniel is it’s making them want more right at the end and he’s going to keep pulling you and hooking you along until you finally found out what did Paul Daniel do to finally solve his problem.

So that’s a kind of a short sequence of emails within your bigger sequence, or you could run it that way as a campaign now number four is using an email that requires a double opt-in. Here’s just an example from Chipotle. Of course yours would be different, but a lot of people there’s a lot of mixed messages on this I hear some people say: don’t do double opt-in because then you’re going to lose a huge amount of people.

Other people say they prefer double opt because then you really know that people want to be in your email list. So that’s just a decision you have to make, but the advantages of double opt-in are one. You know people really want to be there. It really cuts down on spam because those people opt it in twice to say. Yes, I want these emails and then three there are some countries in some regions of the world that require double opt-in, so you’re kind of losing those people.

If you don’t do it, but again it’s up to you if you want to do a double opt-in or a regular opt-in. It’s up to you. I would think that, as your list gets really huge, you could start doing double opt-in, because then you can afford to be picky about who comes on your list, especially if you’re new getting fifty people is exciting right and when you’re new or a 500 or when You hit that thousand, but when you start hitting 1520 thousand, I would say then double opt-ins, probably not a big deal so anyway, that’s another the fourth email and now share the fifth.

Now I found this one it again: it’s somebody that sells things, but maybe your email list isn’t about selling a product, maybe you’re into affiliate marketing or something like that, but you can still use this for any market. Show appreciation tell your customers that I really appreciate you, you know being on my newsletter and it’s been a year since I started this, and I really appreciate it know that now the person here said we’re going to donate three million pairs of of a product.

Okay, to show our appreciation and you’re like wow – that’s a lot, but how could you use it even if you’re a small company, you could have a an organization that you send ten percent of your profits to, and you could say for this particular email, everybody that Clicks through because you can see that click-through rate I’m going to donate $ 1 to this organization. That’s nonprofit, because I really appreciate you hanging in there with me and – and you know, becoming my friend blah blah blah and everybody that clicks through on this email.

I’ll donate an extra dollar, so that’s just a way of showing appreciation and then showing them that you’re the type of person that likes to give as well. So, hopefully, those five different emails will start making. You think outside the box and not just sending sequences and and kind of being the same, all the time change it up a little bit, do something different and make it a little bit more exciting.
