How to Learn DIGITAL MARKETING for LESS THAN $100 [read THESE]

In this article, I’m going to be sharing with you, these six books that I think are most reached for any digital marketer or for anyone trying to get into the digital marking space, whether you’re, trying to build an agency, whether you already have one, whether you even Go into the freelancing way or really, whatever you’re doing in the digital marketing space, even if you’re doing copywriting, for example.

These are six books that I personally think are incredible, and these are six books that have had a really profound impact on my life and my skill set as well as my craft in the digital marketing space. Now, for those of you who don’t know me and are new to the blog first of all, welcome a bit about me. I’ve been in the space for around two years. I decided to go down the agency route, so I built my social media marketing agency and I scaled.

That agency passes six figures in nine months. Really my passion is building brands online and that’s really what my agency mode will see it. Does it hopes ecommerce brands? Go to a 7 and 8-figure online, but that’s a bit about myself. Now, let’s get right into the books before I do. I just want to give a little note on reading. I personally think that brilliance just one of those habits that if I don’t have in place in my life, everything just sorts of crumble, there’s it’s just funny how it happens.

But when I make we didn’t happen, everything just falls into place. All my personal development habits, even my wavelength of thoughts, are, is just much better. It’s just more calm, I’m able to think much more clearly and so to say that wind has had a profound effect on my life. It would be probably an understatement, but without further ado, let’s get right into it. Now. The first book that I personally recommend is growth hacker marketing by Ryan holiday.

This book will give you a little insight into how virality works and really Ryan holiday goes on to really explain what good hacking even means and the just insane power of online advertising that the fact that you can track everything and really just reveal some really cool Hacks that you can use to grow a business online so especially if you’re new to the space. I really recommend this book. It’s really just a great entry point into cool fact in an online advertising, and it makes it very clear why online advertising is just so much more powerful than billboards or magazines or just the traditional marketing mediums.

So we recommend this book, not the next books or classics. If you haven’t read them, obviously you know it’s an absolute must and I personally love this guy. His name is Russell Brunson and the book is calm secrets, and so I recommend that you pick up. First, Stockholm sequence, then the second one is expert secrets and the third book which self actually order. Just today, it’s actually traffic secrets and so ya.

Wan na see this list books are great. It talks to you about how to drive traffic to offerings. It talks to you about how to actually get people excited about something right: how to build a tribe online and how to get people to buy your products and not just buy a product but buy into a brand right. And so I really like the 360 approach that this book’s give you and honestly, if you’re, really confused about this digital marketing thing, you want to get started.

These two books are amazing right, I’m actually down below in the description. I will leave a link to this two books, so you can actually claim a free copy. All you have to do spaceship and honestly, it’s just an incredible book, and I personally really really recommend it. Russell Branson is, is a really really cool. Guy and honestly, I’ve got so much respect for word from what is built and really what what is doing for the digital marketing community so really like this books definitely must read now the next book, I would say it’s more for agency owners, and that is the Emf we visited okay, so this is a great book for agency owners and the reason why I say that is because this book is really what popularized the concept of working on the business instead of working in the business, and so this book, really, you know, gives You an insight into what it actually takes to work on the business and not in the business right how to actually think in systems how to remove yourself from the equation and how to actually duplicate yourself and not be enslaved to plants.

Okay, and so, though. It’s not for agencies specifically gives you a bunch of examples like, for example, bakery, etc, etc. It’s really a great book for entrepreneurs and, if you’re, not in the agency space, it’s still an amazing book. But if you build an agency, this book will give you an insight into what we don’t want to do everything ourselves and what we want to delegate certain tasks. Do we have that you know time location, freedom to an extent, but not only that but actually be able to scale our agency much faster.

So this is a pretty old book. But honestly, I it’s really just one of those books that have they’re they’re, very powerful, and it’s also a book that not many people know about. It says here that if only I sold 150,000 copies, which isn’t too great – and I guess I think this book sold like 300,000 copies just give me an idea, and this book is relatively new and so yeah. I wan na see an amazing book and I could not recommend it more and so yeah if you really struggling because you don’t have enough time, you feel like you are.

You know slaving away for your clients, maybe you’re doing a kind of like a freelancing game with article marketing. This book is certainly for you and I will really you know, teach you how to think in systems and how to build a scalable model. So that is that the next book is will go beyond advertising now, for those of you who don’t know who or goofy is here’s a picture of the guy unarguably, he is one of the best marketers and advertisers and agencies owners in the past decade or two, Even he has built one of the most successful agencies in the world named after him, okay, we and in this book – and we can sleep into the best advertising practices andrey, has a very data-centric approach and that this book is particularly good for learning.

How to write very good coffee, okay, so this book, if you are looking to write better coffee, if you’re, looking to just pick the brain of someone who’s built an incredibly successful agency like go giveaway. If I’m not mistaken the revenues around 300 million a year, which is quite a lot and so he’s built, an incredibly successful you can see – has worked with some of the biggest clients in the space, and yet this work I mean it, gives you even illustrations about The as that he is wrong and that he is very data-driven and that’s really one of things.

I’r really makes me passionate about the online marketing space and the fact that it can be so data-driven and okay.We. I definitely am one of the one of those advertisers that will teach you a ton, and so definitely I go ahead and pick this up, and the final book is scientific advertising by Claude Hopkins. You could say that Claude Hopkins is in the same class, as will Gilby they’re, both incredibly good advertisers and I’m pretty sure, they’re from the same era, and so these two books are not related to the remark.

The great thing with this books is that it will teach you a lot of marketing principles that are incredibly powerful. Okay, and the thing about that is that Diller marketing is not this new hacks or this new principles. It’s just marketing principles that have been around for a very long time. The only difference is just that the medium is different and also the fact that we can actually track much more, and so it will be much more data driven, and so that is why reading old-school books like these will teach you a ton about telemarketing, simply because You can transfer the marketing principles that have been around for the longest time and that the top marketers in the space have used, and you can put them in practice into digital marketing.

In fact, I would say that a lot of the more the old marketing principles work tremendously well in digital marketing, for example, long from coffee, for example, advertorials right. A lot of people in the digital marketing sphere think that, just because you’re running facebook, that people don’t want to read long term copy or they don’t want to see like a very raw organic picture. I will just tell you to ask yourself: what do people want to do when they jump on Facebook or they log into Instagram? They are there to check out their friends right, their pets, their grandparents, whatever it is, and to read stories.

So that is why long-term copy, which tells the story which addresses pain, points which trigger emotions and has a very opinion, call to action to an advertorial looking landing page, and that is why that performs so much better than something that really looks like an app right. Why? Because people have put up massive walls around anything that looks like an app right, and so whenever they see an ad, they will just you know, automatically scroll right past it because they’ve put up massive walls, so we need to penetrate those walls unintended and the way You do that is by writing long term copy by making an advertorial type ads, and these these books are amazing on on those topics, and so yeah highlight recommend these two books, and that is pretty much it for this article guys hope you guys enjoyed this article.

How To Close A Social Media Marketing Client With Cold Calling

I’r going to open up the lead seem like I’m just well at my selling there is she and your pipedrive no well. I look like I don’t know if she knows, but she isn’t mine and on that note guys this is my sales guy, I’m ashamed to say navigate. This is so guys. This is my sales guy Esteban. Now we’ve got really cool article. I brought him over to the crib, because I wanted to talk about the topic of cold calling of sales.

What not, because I’m going to have very, very happy to announce that end of January they’re about I’ll, be releasing my social media marketing course. So so so many fucking people have asked about it, because I have a very interesting approach to my marketing agency. You know I talk a lot about like the systems. I’ve built to literally just get clients like through the door consistently and I’ve never done a sale.

A cold call in my life ever but you know who has my sales guy and, as I said, that’s why I thought I would bring him on here to talk about sales and whatnot. So I guess just to introduce yourself yeah okay, so my name is Esteban and I’ve had a past in sales for the last couple of years. Never really know. I never really went deep into cells until I opened up my own marketing agency on months back and I realized how big of an issue is.

Cells are especially for start-up businesses in the marketing industry. Businesses, like I’m sure you guys, are running so I started getting really passionate about actually how to solve that problem and yeah. That got me what took me deep into the rabbit hole, and Here I am now doing sales for mr. Demon yeah. So the way we actually connected is he came to my event here in London like two and a half three months ago and followed up with me, he did very well to actually land a meeting with me.

After yeah, we went for a quick coffee and he basically proposed the idea of cold calling, and you know coming on board as my sales guy I’ll be honest. I was skeptical as fuck when he first brought it up, because in my head and cold calling doesn’t work right and that’s actually the topic of this article, like the limiting beliefs around sales and how you’re limiting beliefs are holding you back right, because you know it Was unknown territory? For me, I had gone a completely different route in terms of my customer acquisition, so yeah, I brought him on board.

I said: look if you can land me like two meetings like like you know, let’s roll with it. Let’s do this. I think in the space of two weeks he got me six fucking meetings, all super solid, leads and actually went on to assign a few of those. So look, I thought I would bring him on and first of all, just ask him like. Obviously I had a bunch of limiting beliefs. What do you think as someone getting new into social media marketing like what are some of the new limiting beliefs that are holding people back and how did you initially face them sure? Well, the main limiting beliefs, guys is that cold calling doesn’t work.

Unfortunately, there’s a lot of gurus out there. There push this belief out there that cold calling is not the way to do things. As I told you, I had a marketing agency myself, so I experimented with all the while all the methods now on but did cold emailing networking references of which I mean references are the highest. They got the highest conversion, radio, but in terms of getting a client really quickly from zero cold.

Calling is the way to go. You know, as when you’re starting a business, you want to get cash as quickly as possible, so the best way to go from zero to 100 is to start getting on the phones. Visiting businesses is, I know something that you guys do a lot as well, but the the bad thing about going to businesses is the amount of time that you waste on the phone. On the other hand, you can instead of going one day only visiting five to six locations.

You can ring up 20 in one hour, so I mean you: can you can put things together and see how cold calling can be soupier yeah? So um? Look. You know when you go down your sales process and we’re taught like obviously, everyone starts somewhere and a lot of people on the other side of the screen are literally at like Ground Zero like what did you do to train yourself within the realm of sales, with, Like getting comfortable with all this stuff, you know okay, so the number one thing you have to do when, when you start selling something is you have to believe in what you’re selling okay so get comfortable? Believing in what you got? Bro start believing in your service.

It works just be comfortable with the fact that you’ll be able to do it, especially with this guy’s help. You will get the right information and you will get the right strategies to pull through once you got that belief. You just have to pick up the fucking phone and do it and also built yourself a little script just so you can have that extra comfort behind you, that extra confidence and to actually happen to have some sort of strategy to actually get where you want to Go because without a strategy you just won’t be able to close any deals: okay, yeah and now that script that he talked about.

That’s big because I have been studying, that’s kind of like my new big thing is sales over the past. Like a few weeks because, literally like two weeks ago, I closed seven and a half thousand on the phone, which is roughly ten thousand dollars in. Like five days right, but these are all warm leads or hot leads, like people were going to buy anyways so um. But you know last week like I had like, I think, like four calls.

I’d only closed like to Kate on the phone last week and you know like the results weren’t as solid, and you know I like, I didn’t feel as good and, like you know, things went off the sales process and whatnot. You know if you could look at like Durham Buffett’s like straight line. Persuasion, I’m you know I’ve studied that one know like, and so obviously I brought you in because you’re a master at sales like I just really really respect what you’ve done within that room, and you know all the help that you’ve given me and I you know Obviously I brought you into the crib last week and I’m like you know like do.

I need a sales script like how important is the sales script and obviously you were like well fuck yeah, like you, you can’t like yeah. Can you ever heal anything yeah? 100 %, you can’t just go in there and fucking wing it like if he again, if you don’t, have some sort of strategy, you’re never going to get to your end goal and that’s the most important thing number two you’re not going to get you’re not going To feel as confident on what you want, you have it to say: number til! You won’t see what you’re getting wrong every time you make a phone call because there’s some objections that are very common, so you can actually write those down right.

How you’re going to resolve those objections and then the next time they appear? You can actually feel more comfortable with dealing with them now. Another very important thing that I really want to put touch on is follow-up. Follow-Up is probably the biggest and most important thing when you’re trying to sell something when you’re trying to sell yourself when you’re trying to sell a product with anything, okay selling involves a lot of rejection, so a lot of the cells you won’t make them on the First phone call: that’s just the nature of cells, but if you follow up, you can turn a hundred phone calls into 400.

Obviously, because you got you got a hundred people that you can, you can talk to and with follow-up. That means you can call each guy five to twelve times, so you automatically made yourself have all the higher chance of actually closing a cell, if that makes any sense, but this is a really important fact that I want you guys to remember and when one comes, When it comes to follow-up, it takes usually around five to twelve times to close a deal.

Okay, so you have to call the same guy five to twelve times to close that deal on average. Once you got that in mind, and once you start actually following up on those leads, that’s when you’re actually going to see the real real big results, all right, yeah and that that’s big, like he always presses me on the follow-up. I’r just because, as I said, I guess I’ve been very lucky because I put I have like I’ve put such incredible systems in place.

I put such incredible email follow-ups in place. I’ve put such incredible follows in place. So such incredible social funnels, where socially, like I’m, building all these systems so that people are funneling to me they’re, like you know, I I never really had to follow up like the in like people, came to me with the interest. So that was something he pressed hard on guys. This is his first time on YouTube, so, like most people shoot themselves in front of camera, but it would be fun if we just did a like a little a little roleplay of a phone call.

So whatever I’m a I’m a local gym, let’s say, for example, so yeah, alright, okay, so obviously it might come across as I’m actually just winging it. But remember I’ve done this so many times that there’s always some sort of structure behind what I’m actually saying. So if I’m going to ring up – let’s say a gym and let’s put this in the let’s put this in perspective – let’s say I get the the decision maker on the phone call straightaway.

Alright, so I’m going to be up like hey hello good afternoon. My name is Julian: can I speak to the business owner and he’s going to be like yeah? That’s me, it’s Eamon and, like ok, great great. Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you now. The reason for my call is that I actually came across your business online and I saw that we could massively help you get more customers every month using social media marketing and advertising.

Now I don’t know if you do anything like this. Where have you done anything like this before yeah? I have someone in-house handling it. Ok, that’s perfectly fine. Actually, a quick fun fact is that most of the businesses, I call today actually they’re working with somebody else already and the reason for my phone call right now. It’s actually not to sell you my service. I merely want to have 15 more minutes of your time, just so that you can maybe consider and see how we can actually make your business better, because one of the main reasons why I created this agency was because all of the other agencies out there, they Cannot deliver results, they just don’t.

Do the word grill pretty much now. Well again. All I need is 50 minutes of your time. I know you’re a busy guy. When can we do a meet-up, so you said you found my business online. Why did you decide to call me after looking at my business? Is it did you find something wrong or well I mean, then there is a lot of stuff that I have to point out. I mean there’s, there’s obviously stuff that you could do better again.

I’r not here, I’m not trying to I’m not trying to give you a phone call just to dis your business. I know your business down there and I respect you for that, but there’s obviously a lot of things that I’d like to show you this point by the way, guys like there’s a checklist that he goes to so, for example, close check stuff like is their Facebook Pixel installed on the upside and there’s no Facebook pixel install like 90 % of time, they’re not doing Facebook advertising or if they are, and they don’t even have a pixel install on their website.

That’s that’s an immediate like a towel that you should be calling me. So this one enjoy, I mean I said I put I’ve completely put him on the spot, guys like they just remember it’s first time on YouTube for a second for a camera King. But like look as I said that he would no, you know he tracks the analytics of their website. He tracks stuff, like their Facebook pixel, he tracks stuff. He looks at their social media, their engagement, you know their overall branding stuff like that, and he has you know through tools that we’ll talk about in the social media marketing course like.

He has a lot of actual info on the business before he even calls. So when I asked something like that, like you know like why, why did you decide to call me he can actually point out that info with it yeah yeah and also something that’s very important, the more you know about the business once you get and just once You get on the phone with the decision maker. You can pre-plan the objections that he’s going to have.

Obviously you can tell as a marker when they already working with a with a marketing agency, so you already know what to expect from that. Okay, now do prepare for a lot of objections pretty much. What we did right now is objection handling, but yeah the more you know about their business they’re, more capable you’re going to sell on the phone, the more comfortable you’re going to be, and the more they’re going to notice that you actually care about their business.

One of the things I always notice with you is you never you never block an objection which I find super like he never like, and I you know guys I have like so many coaches, so many mentors – and I have friends like he’s literally like he sorry Office my sales guy, like now one of my closest friends like like I like study and I learn from these people and one of these one of the things I always notice.

Is you never go like? If I, if I go, you know my audience, isn’t on Facebook like you, you would never go. No actually robot, you always know just kind of like loop around it. Well, yeah, you got ta, you got ta, you got ta, take the customers perspective right, like whenever you’re arguing with somebody. Whenever you got you a discussion, you’re not going to get anywhere just by saying that the other guy is wrong.

The other guy only cares about what you just said. So as long as you acknowledge it and then find a way to deal with that objection by offering some more information, the guy’s going to be cool with it again remember most of the objections you’re getting are just complaints. So as long as you have that in mind, okay, really good question: what’s the difference between an objection and seriously like fuck off like no well, I mean you can tell straight away like if you’re opposed to girl of the club and you grab her by the Arm and she almost tries to slap you or she tells you like – a solid.

No I’m not interesting on being with you, then you’re like okay whoa, like I shouldn’t just like, go ahead and try to go for the kiss now. Okay, she’s, actually he’s actually objecting a complaint, on the other hand must be like you come up. You come acquit, you come across. You talk to go and they’re like. Oh, no. I don’t have time with my friends, Olivia they’re, just complaining dude they just they just trying to see what your ration will be is like.

When you talk to somebody on the phone, it’s what’s known as a shit test yeah, it’s like a shit test, dude like if you go up the street and some guy just stops. You hey, what’s up man, your natural response, you don’t even know anything about this. Guy he might be about to offer you a million bucks. Your first response is going to be all no dude. I don’t have time. Okay, I’m not a jack thing, because if he told me he’s got he’s going to give me a million bucks.

I’d stop straight on my ass and give me a my give me money, but uh I just have a natural. I just have a natural tendency. Humans have a natural tendency to just create complaints, and that’s that’s what sells that’s what people do when you’re selling to them they’re going to complain, all the time doesn’t mean they’re, not interested, doesn’t mean they don’t want by your service, doesn’t mean that you’re fucking up.

It’s just what Nash does is just a natural, a natural thing for humans to do yeah and guys just remember they’re going to test like, and I even look, even like cold coal or know. If I’m at a meeting, there’s like they still give me shit tons of shit tests because they need to see how long can I keep up like my character for, like anyone can play a character or have an amazing seal script for for X amount of time? But then they’re going to throw these shit tests at hue, these difficult questions which you should have a sales script to prepare for.

You should know your objections, the more and more like he knows how to handle every objection under the Sun, but they’re going to do that kind of like test your character cuz. You know perfect analogy like if someone some random person on the street is about to give you a million like you need like, like what they’re going to give you something incredible in the same way, you were about to give your clients something incredible.

They just don’t know it yet and they need a nessam. You know they need some like they need it settled in their heart that, like you, like, you actually are who you say you are like. They need to sense that congruence and that’s that’s what we need that belief, though, because if you don’t have that belief, you’re not going to be able to push through the objections pushed through the sales process, because you know that you don’t actually believe you’re offering the Guy, a million bucks wish you bar guess.

I mean the guests. You’ve worked on your business enough that you think you are even if you’re, not it’s just if you know what you’re doing yeah and once again I said: that’s something we’re going to go over like hard on the course is the fact that, like most of you Guys are underpricing yourself, you don’t even realize the value that you’re bringing to these businesses and like that’s something, we’re really diving deep into in the course so that when it comes to picking up the phone well you’re about to give them the fucking world, like a Fuck, it’s not hard to sell this stuff, but um yeah.

Is there any like last closing, closing points yeah for sure, because I know it’s a lot of information and sales is something that is usually something that you guys don’t go deep into. So I don’t want to overwhelm you with all this. The main thing that you guys should walk with from this chat is that cold calling works, number one get out start getting on the fucking phones, no matter what your excuses and number two just do it.

Okay, sales at the end of the day is always a numbers game. You can you can you? Can you can race your closing ratios, depending on how much you know about your product about how to handle objections, but as long as you tomorrow start getting on the phone, even though, if you don’t know what you’re doing as long as you got a good attitude, You know what you’re talking about you know your product and you get in front of enough people you’re going to make sales period period so stop doing whatever the fuck you’re doing, stop sending those emails that get no response whatsoever and start getting on the phone to Do something different, your main issue is obscurity.

Best Outreach Methods For SMMA in 2020

I should had already tell from the title and the introduction today we’re going to be talking about outreach for your social media agency.

Now, for those of you do not know who, I am, I am Joshua Tango George, I own a social media agency called brand pannier here in the Netherlands, and they also have a coaching business where I basically help you guys. You know start and scale your own marketing businesses and, like it’s literally one of the most common questions I get from those who are just starting out with the coaching, but also from you guys, you’re just reading the articles and follow me on Instagram or are in The the free Facebook community is what is the best method of outreach and, like there are so many lists, I googled it obviously and to see what other people are saying on this topic.

The reason for that was obviously for keyword, ranking, etc, and there are so many articles, alright, the best method for outreach do this to get your face, clients immediately. This is the only method that you need like this is the golden method and all the other methods are like worthless and also like that, but it there is no real. Like no golden method. There is no like, like one method, that that soars like it better than every other method, and there is no best method of outreach.

You know for this year or you know last year you know it’s it’s it’s not the method itself, but it’s the person who you are okay and what I mean by that is. It depends on who you are as a person or you introvert. It’s all you extroverted, do you like being in front of the camera? Are you good, like you know, with like, let’s like on the phone, you know, are you someone who is really good with writing? You know closing copy.

Are you so on that write? Really good emails, are you someone that is reaching out to english-speaking countries or clients when that is not your native language? How fluent are you in English? You know, are you reaching out to people in your own language and so on and so forth? There are so many factors that play a role in this that it’s you can’t really say like this is the be-all end-all method for our reach, for your social media agency.

Okay, now there are like I said there are so many different ways of reaching out to all the agents or the clients and businesses, and just like off the top. My head, like I said, loom article outreach, you got emails, you’ve got cold, Facebook, outreach, you’ve, got cold, call and you’ve got an Instagram. You’ve got LinkedIn, you’ve got inbound beats where they come to your way, like you have like a case study funnel or you.

I post contents on social media like LinkedIn articles or blog articles, you post in facebook groups, and they come to you. They schedule a free discovery. Call this profile funnels as LinkedIn photos. There’s a freelancer websites. There are so many ways of reaching out to potential clients, and what you just need to figure out for yourself is what type of person are you are you introverts or extroverts? Are you good with, I said, are you good filming yourself? Are you good with cold calling, you know, are you showing that likes to pick up the phone and bring like a hundred numbers a day, or would you rather like sit behind your laptop and send out emails? Would you, rather, you know, engage with all the people that, like my other people, or help people out in Facebook groups, so they come to you? Would you rather like build up a case, so the answer shock a bunch of money at it and you know like listen, I have to pay traffic, you know, get you inbound leads, etc.

Okay, so all depends on who you are as a person and where you are, you know in your in your agency life. You know. Obviously, if you have the cash flow and you can leverage your cash, where you know, as opposed to your time, you can actually run ads and run as to a case study or a so. It’s like a mini webinar to get your inbound leads, or you can just list your own straight of legion ads for your own agency.

You know if you come if you are promoting lead generation as a service that why not just run leads for yourself. The Royal Legion ads for yourself get leads for your agency and in closing now, if you spend let’s say four or five hundred on lead ads for your agency, you get X, amount of discovery, calls X amount of leads and you close a client for the thousand. A month, you’ve already ran a profit and you’ve got profitable ads.

You know your campaign was profitable. Okay, but if you haven’t got the time the money, it’s a leverage, you will need to leverage your time, which means that you will need to do manual outreach or you know, I’m seeking get creative and get like appointment. Sensors that you know like basically get Commission on every appointment that they set and stuff like that, lay the draw ways around it. Obviously, but you know you need to just figure out that if you can’t leverage your money, you need to leverage your time or vice versa.

If you haven’t got the time where you’ve got the money, you obviously need to leverage your money rather than your time and then, like I said you know, there is no golden method. There is no be-all end-all method to do outreach or to get clients. Every method is effective. If you do it, you know, if you do it enough times, if you know basically crunch up those numbers, if you do like, let’s say you doing, Facebook outreach, angle, 2 and one method.

Thank you. One message every day like that is literally like 30 messages a month. That’s not going to add up. You know, you’re not going to get a high conversion rate with that, but if you, you know, send out, let’s say 80 or hundred messages a day. You know chances are that one of those messages will be with a client potential client that is actually interested in what you have to offer. Okay, so this all comes down to your numbers.

Okay, so if you let’s say you need ten Scully calls to close one clients, that is a conversion rate of 10 percent, and then you need to figure out okay. How, if that is, if those are your numbers, how many clients or potential clients do you need to reach out to to actually get those tennis chronicles that might be 300 messages or if you are really good with yours with your appointments, then you might only need, Like 20 messages to get those 10 meetings to get that one clients, okay or you – might only need 2 meetings to get one client.

You know if you have a conversion rate of 50 %, a closing rate of 50 %, and then you know you only need to discovery, calls to get that one clients, and you know for two incoming calls. You only need to send out, let’s say or whom, the message! Okay, so you need to know those numbers and then from there you need to just figure out for yourself what type of person are you? What method of Irish do you like, then? You just need to go all in on that and be consistent with it.

Okay, not just once a day like listen, you need to do it or whom good times a day, if you you know, if you’re just on outside, you really want to face clients, you can’t leverage your cash flow. You will need to do manual. Outreach. Does YouTube really work for Business Marketing? The #WeAreSlam Show Episode 5

Today, I’r with Michael T, Johnson chief creative here at slam and we have a Pretty fun topic today we’re talking about YouTube, yeah and I think the fun Thing about YouTube is every time you get a camera out.

If there’s a kid Anywhere around they’re going to ask: is this going on YouTube? So that’s that’s been. My experience is not only that, but everybody wants to be A YouTube star right, it’s true, I you know they. We already know that YouTube. Is the number two most visited site just right behind Google? You know it’s the Second, behind Google again most visited search engine, but if anyone’s like well You know YouTube’s not necessarily relevant for my business.

Maybe it is Maybe it isn’t, but if you have kids, you know that they’re reading YouTube and So YouTube is going to be around for a long time. Yeah it’s it’s definitely not going. Anywhere and even like some of the big players in the social space, like Facebook Instagram, which is Facebook they’re, always still trying to catch up. To what YouTube’s doing on article as far as getting a user and keeping them for a Long time but uh but like you’re, saying the business case, if you’re a brand or a Business I mean you’re not going to be a YouTube star for the most part, unless You know you’re, you were some really really hard.

Have a great natural Charisma and you put a lot of money into it – right, Yeah, right but uh, but what you Can leverage is kind of like the SEO benefits being discoverable and kind of Boosting up your brand in some certain ways, so you know, I think, the way that Most businesses use YouTube is just as a place to host their articles, but with a Couple tweaks: you can take that hosting to make it work for you better with, like Some search engine stuff and things like that yeah, you know I find myself more Often than not, if it’s something that I, if it’s something that I’m trying to Figure out, you know I’d rather read a article than read yeah, that’s just the way.

My brain works, and so even if I don’t go to youtube To make that search, which sometimes I don’t I do it in Google, but that I just Clicked articles, yeah and so with Michael’s talking about Being discoverable, that’s what we’re talking about like creating article Content that people can discover what they’re searching for a solution to Whatever problem they’re, having that your brand can address yeah and I think The other huge benefit of YouTube like apart from that discoverability as There’s a whole ad platform behind YouTube that, like you said, like my kids, Are addicted to YouTube, they will binge read and binge read and binge read.

And that’s, usually the behavior people on YouTube is they’re not there to just Scroll through, like Facebook they’re there to read a lot of content and That’s an opportunity to serve some ads that are incredibly relevant to that Person, you know, because there’s so many people of all ages on YouTube, just Consuming and kind of just binging on content, it’s important as a brand to be There, like in pre-roll, you know, and so we know the average attention span – is 7 To 8 seconds right, yeah and so YouTube geniusly Right they they they did something pretty amazing.

They introduced Six-Second pre-roll ads, so it kind of fits right within that attention span. You know universe, and so what those ads allow you to do is when the person’s Getting ready, you know to read whatever it is: they’re getting ready to read. Like you can just hit them really quickly with something that’s super Exciting super engaging it’s six seconds just long enough to get some awareness.

And over time like, if you’re advertising, these six second articles to your your Ideal target market then they’re going to see these six second ads over and over And over again, and what’s going to happen, is that brand awareness is just going to Increase and so that’s a great way that we’ve seen to like introduce new Products new brands to kind of reinforce some of this brand recognition. You know With your target audience yeah and it works really well and especially works.

Really well because this is how I hear about the lol surprise, that toys for my Daughter, because every every uh every article she reades every few articles she Gets a she gets an advertisement for some new toy, so in a day and age when People don’t read commercials or really read a lot. Tv, this is like a great way to get awareness for your product. I don’t know How my kids find the toys they do, but apparently it’s just on YouTube.

This is True so the next thing to talk about with YouTube is you know, early on Besides the ads, we talked about this idea of creating good content that helps You get discovered and there’s been a big change to the YouTube YouTube. Algorithm and in the last year, so I mean this may not be super familiar to a lot. To a lot of people, but we put out fairly regular content on YouTube and for a While what YouTube was favoring was daily uploads and if, if you’re uploading, Content consistently daily, then like there was a greater chance of you being Seen but they’ve kind of flipped that so we’ve seen a change on the algorithm Where what YouTube favors is kind of this longtail keyword, so when you think About longtail keywords: this is what you’re, putting in a Google search when You’re trying to find something not only that but they’re favoring, older catalogs Of content, so if you can consistently put out things that have to do with your Brand that people are searching for you’re going to get found and it’s going to Not just help you on YouTube, but like help you on your website as well, yeah And you know if, if you want to dig into the SEO reasons, why they’re doing that It’s probably because, like people figured out how to gain the system, Yeah and post stuff really quickly like new blogs, yeah and it’s spammy stuff, Right and so now, favoring my assumption.

It’s favoring, the older catalogs, the Ones that haven’t been banned from YouTube, there’s kind of this built-in Credibility and yeah – and you know so that’s what Google or YouTube once so You know we’re not really going to dig into the SEO like do’s and don’ts for YouTube. Or just in general, we’re probably to do SEO in a different show yeah, but this Longtail idea is just in a nutshell: you know if you’re trying to rank in your Youtube search results for like red widgets everyone and their brother is Probably trying to rank for that too, so it’s really very difficult.

That’s what’s! Called like a short it’s a short word, so it’s a short phrase: a longtail keyword, Is something that red ridge widgets that I can use in my Buick? You know that’s a Longer phrase it’s probably not searched very often, but if that’s something that Your brand then optimize for that phrase, yeah and You’ll, be you know in the top five yeah, not only that, but you’ll be more Relevant to the viewer, that’s searching for that which is really important.

Because one of the things that we’ve seen in the back into YouTube this year, Is that if you’re not super familiar with YouTube back in, they used to just Show you like how many views your article got, which is good information, but what They change this here. Is they show you how many impressions your article got and How many people clicked on that article? So if you do what you’re talking about not Red widgets, but whatever it was red widgets for Buick and and that’s Incredibly relevant to that person, that’s searching that then that article is Going to get a higher percentage of click-through on the topic and when it Gets a higher percentage of click-through, it’s shown to more people.

So it just kind of compounds on itself. You, you use this information to to give Things that are more relevant to the person searching and that always works Good for you in the long run, but if the article is relevant to what they clicked. On and they read it, which that’s, how YouTube is going to determine whether it’s Relevant or not, then it’s going to get shown to more and more people, so yeah Yeah, it’s simple, so I think the other interesting thing about this is so we’re.

Talking about creating like longtail keywords and creating relevant content, But the one thing that you have to do is make sure you get the attention of People and that they actually click on it to begin with, so you could make some Great content, but if nobody is able to find it or nobody sees it, it doesn’t do Any good for you so so there’s two very important things. One of those is making A clickable title for your article, so we talked about this like keywords, but if You get really spammy with a ton of keywords.

You got to remember a human Being is going to look at that title, not a computer yeah! That’s a good point. Because when a lot of people think about optimizing to show up higher and their Search results like on a YouTube they’re thinking about like how many keywords: Kind of stuff into the title and think about just the way that you’ve engaged With YouTube you’re not going to click on a title; That has a million keywords in it: you’re going to kick click on a title that answers The question that you’re asking and does so in a way that prove That it’s relevant, it’s authentic, a human has written it.

So don’t try to Keyword stuff, it’s not worth it yeah so and then the other part of getting People to click on your article is the thumbnail, and this is like arguably, the Most important part to get someone to want to click on your article so like if You’re looking, if I’m doing a search on Google, I’m probably looking on the words Like what the title is, but if I’m on YouTube that that thumbnail is what’s Going to entice me to click, I came across some really interesting information.

About like how the machine learning and AI and everything behind Google and Youtube’s algorithm on those on those thumbnails is and honestly it’s kind of Creepy and it’s weird, but it’s also fascinating so so Google has this thing: Called cloud vision – and this is like this – is the machine learning AI behind Like photos in Google, so if you have a let’s say I have a picture of a person. In a photo – and let’s assume this photo has no words on it at all.

Like I didn’t Put the title: it’s just a picture of a person, maybe they’re doing something or Holding something so what cloud vision does? Is it takes that article? It analyzes The emotion of the person’s face, so it knows the emotion for one it creates a Tag list for what’s happening in that photo, so we talked about keywords and Like longtail keywords, it creates its own list of keywords and tags based on What’s in that photo, it finds the person it pulls their identity from online and It finds all the websites where that person is or all the websites that are Associated with that, so it also creates all these matches for, where related Contents found on the web and for one that just tells you how important those Thumbnails are but also to me it’s just like kind of geeky, fascinating yeah.

You Know like as you’re going through all the things that it does it. You know they Say and the reason why I say they say is because there is no list of what Google Or YouTube actually does anywhere right like this is all just based on Experience and based on like people running tests over and over and over Again to see what works and what doesn’t like you search, and so we look at these Findings and then we’re able to determine you know what some of the best Practices that we should be doing, and so when you talk about like how they Analyze the photo to determine who it is, and then they go out to the web and find Out, where else that person is then it? I immediately am thinking about social Yeah, because we know, especially on the Google side, that social plays a major Role in SEO value, and so the more interaction, the more engagement you have.

On your social pages, it’s going to tie back to your website and boost your website. And so that’s how they’re doing it like they’re, drawing these connections and so If you’re an influencer and you’ve never been on it YouTube before, but you’re You’re known everywhere, I bet you’re going to get a bigger bump. Yeah just Because of the sheer volume of stuff that you have out there yeah, so that’s Pretty cool yeah: it is it’s pretty crazy how everything is connected.

You actually want to go into some details, Especially like trial Period what the person is going to sign up for answering a lot of the questions that a person may have Gotcha so part of this proposal? Is you want to create some urgency? You want to give them all the information and kind of lead them down the funnel. Why is this important What are the details and, at the very end, maybe This is a trial period.

I see this a lot with webinars or different online courses. You know it’s a limited time offer within the next three days. This is introductory price and the price goes up right, so you’re always kind of leading Them down that funnel and giving that sense of Wow this is important. This is what I need and I can’t wait. I need to buy this now. You want that response. You want to make that person feel like they can’t miss out.

Let’s say you are at the point, your business, that you’ve master two or three social media accounts and you are posting okay again, if you’re brand new, you need to focus on one get to know it and then expand, but here you can post on Facebook.

You are, if you’re doing Facebook for ads Twitter now Instagram isn’t here yet, but they will send you a notification, reminder and say: hey you posted every place else, make sure you get your Instagram. There is a little note here that they’re working on it. That’s usually a big one: everybody wants to make sure they can post on their Instagram. So you know if you get on there now and you know that they’ll at least notify you that step is there.

They also can post on Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google, my business. So we’re I’m going to have just to connect to a couple: let’s do Pinterest and Twitter now, each time I hit one of these, it’s going to actually search for my account and then connect. So I’m just going to do Twitter and Pinterest right now. Just for the sake of time, so we’re going to connect to those and then we’ll I’ll show you how you can set up your account.

Okay, I changed it to Facebook. When I was trying to get into my Twitter account, it wasn’t taking my password and it would take me a while to go. Look in my Google Docs to find the update at 1:00 and all that stuff. So anyway, I am in Facebook, and I just put it on my business page and Pinterest. I just picked a couple things so with that make sure as you’re setting up you have access to all of your accounts and all of your passwords.

It will take you a few minutes to get that all connected. What happened was it just connects, but then you’ll have to know your username and password. Alright, let’s go to the next step. Now this one, if you have a team working for you or maybe you just hired someone in your family, maybe there’s maybe one of your kids. Your teenage kids could help you with this. Okay, you have different three different workflows that you can choose from.

So this is one thing I do love about this one. You can have more than one collaborator in charge. So if you have somebody helping you, but then there’s going to be some different steps, draft pending approval requires edits, approved, scheduled and publish, so your post is going to be in one of those pockets. If you don’t need all that, it’s just you, nobody else is working with you. Then you want to come down here, possibly look at the light, workflow one collaborator, but you still may have some things in draft pen.

Approval requires edit schedule published you’re still thinking. Well, I don’t really set up drafts. I just get right in and I do it. Then you want to go down here. Zero work through no approval steps. Three post states you’re going to have a draft scheduled published so you’re not going to go in and edit and things like. Let let’s just go with the light one and select that for today now, if you’re, someone that runs out of ideas and maybe sometimes you’re sitting down you’re like oh my gosh, you know I just need like ten more ideas and because I’m posting for the whole Month and that can be cumbersome right here, you can ask gloomily to grab your RSS feed URL.

So maybe you have feeds coming in to those different platforms. They can pull them in and say: hey here are some things you might want to repost or you might want to edit it and post it. If you don’t want them there then don’t add it. Okay, I’m going to skip that for now and we’re going to go forward, but a pretty cool idea because, like I said, it’ll help you with ideas here you can invite people to approve, couldn’t contribute or view your post on your calendar.

So maybe you want someone like that first step to come and be a collaborator collaborator and say that really fast, three times collaborator but put their email in and whatever their role is and the role could be an editor, a client, a contributor, a viewer or just A custom role, so maybe you just want someone to look them over, even maybe you’re, in a position where you know you’ve got somebody you’re working with and they you know you have them, come in and get their ideas.

So you have these options. You do not have to choose them all right now, we’re going to finish and get to the fun part. I just wanted you to see how easy it is to set up, because sometimes we see these different tools for our business and just trying to learn the tool can be overwhelming, and then you get stuck and you’re more overwhelmed. But if you just take the time schedule the time and say I’m just going to sit down, take a whole day, maybe take two whole days block everything out and get it done.

And then you have a whole month where you can have stuff already post it, and you don’t have to worry about it. Am I in teaching, as a teacher, I have I’m a teacher and I homeschooled, but one of the things that I would do, especially with children that have trouble doing lots of things at once. Is we called it block, scheduling or block teaching well, even with business? I recommend to people when they get overwhelmed.

I have too many tasks to do. I tell them to think of all your tasks in blocks and maybe in one day only do two things, but do a lot of it. Does that make sense so you’re blocking it? Instead of doing five different things every day, you might do just two things, just like with YouTube articles. You know get all your articles done in one day and then it’s done when you’re posting for social media get it all done in one day and again, if you’re new and still coming up with ideas, maybe half a day to half a days would work.

But you have to figure out what works for you without getting overwhelmed and without losing that focus, because sometimes, if you’re all over the place, you get distracted and then you never finish it. And then this tool is useless because you’re not using it and that’s what a lot of people do. I have seen so many people start their business and they buy all these wonderful tools and they’re, putting out monthly fees and then they don’t use it.

And in my heart I hate to see that I hate to see people waste their money like that, but I don’t think people do it on purpose as much as they just get overwhelmed. So I’m giving you that little tip right now take the time sit down and again I as a brand new person. I would take two days just block them out and get it done and then move on to something else. Okay, so let’s move on here just to get started to understand how the system works.

Lumely gives you ideas like there’s funny Friday, you can get a quote and they’ll give you different ideas, so you can even pull from their library. If you, if you you know per say alright, so now we’re going to pull something. When am I scheduling it today is the 27th, let’s say 11:30 a.M. This is only for my reference, so I might say it’s a quote. Maybe every day I’d like to post a quote: okay and I’m going to label it inspiration, okay and then we’re going to go next.

Where do you want to post it? I want to post it on my Pinterest and which board do I want to post it on great quotes? I have a board called quotes right there, alright, and I want to put it on my Facebook page and it’s also called quotes. Okay. So, let’s go to the next button thing. I just want you to see that you can post it two places at once. Now this is a place where I can say something I can put the quote or the hashtags.

You have to be careful on whatever platforms. You’re on make sure whatever you’re doing that they all take it. For instance, if I was putting a really long passage for Facebook, I can’t put that on Pinterest and I can’t put that on Twitter. So since I’m just putting a quote, it’s going to be fine for both. So keep that in mind, especially if you’d like to put lengthy posts in your Facebook page. I say I just put a corny quote: the early bird gets the worm.

I put three hashtags: both of them will work with Pinterest and it will work with my Facebook page. If you want to put a URL in there like like right down here, you can put a picture. You can put a article and anything like that that you want I’m going to leave those alone for right now for the sake of time, and we will continue now one thing before I go right here where it says: hashtag you, if you have certain hashtags, that You use all the time like if you use hashtag, and I use my name – let’s say: okay, I use my own name as a hashtag.

A lot I can. I can save it. Okay and then here’s another one. Hashtag start your own business goodness and then up here I didn’t hit the inner. Oh that’s the name of the collection, okay, alright, so you can, you can save your hashtags and then you can go in and grab them whenever you want them. Okay, now, once I hit next, it says fine tune. It is there anything that you want to do. Here’s where you can add content, media specific to each blog, so on Pinterest I could put a link to my YouTube, blog or a YouTube article.

I could do the same thing with Facebook actually, but I’m not going to add anything. But this is where each one of your platforms, you can customize it and make sure it fits. Maybe you did have a big paragraph that you wanted to add to Facebook to go with that quote. Maybe you wanted to explain how it’s touched your life and tell a story. This is where you can add it. Okay, so I’m just going to hit, got it and then they’re going to give you some tips about you know was that the best time this is Facebook, it’s telling me simple status posts are not recommended.

Why don’t you try and share a link or an image or a article, so they’re saying you’re, just putting a post? You need to add some more to it. So they’re going to give you some ideas, what’s going to make it better than what it is, alright, which is awesome for each one of your individual posts. So then you can fine-tune each one from now. I’ve never seen on a social media management platform where you can actually pick your audience.

Okay, so you can say these are the preferred audience that I want to see what I’m posting. So, if you’re you’ve already started your business, you have a target audience. You can target your audience here, we’re just going to go in and pick. I don’t really masters, I’m just picking some things interest. You can type them in and locations. You can type them in okay. So let’s go next all right now I can save it.

I can schedule it or I can post it. So if I’m not sure if I’m finished, I can go ahead and save it. I could schedule it right now or I can publish it right away. So I’m going to schedule it just so you can see, because this is a scheduler. Now Pinterest wants a picture you’re not allowed to post anything on Pinterest without a picture. So the whole system stopped me and said: you can’t schedule it until you have a post.

So up here the picture the little photo icon was in green, so all’s I have to do is hit that and then I can go ahead and pull up a picture from my browser. So I’m going to do that right now now. Basically, it brought me back to step 3 where it said, define what you want to put on each page. So just a hint when you get do any Pinterest, you want to make sure you have some pictures. Now I have some chickens as I went into my folder and I grabbed it real quick.

It happened to be on my desktop again. I would not post this. I just want you to see the steps and how easy it is to follow. So there’s my chicken with their head sticking out, it goes kind of with the the quote. Early bird gets the worm right that all works, all right, so let’s hit next and now we’re going to post to our Facebook and to Pinterest. So that is an old picture. I don’t have that horse trailer anymore, that’s an old one, all right again, it tells me the different things that I need to do, do and prove it, and then I hit next after my improvements and now we are going to look at our audience.

It’s already been picked, let’s go next and now I’m going to schedule and that’s what we’ve been waiting for. How do you schedule again? It takes time and thought, but remember you’re, doing it all in one block in a day or two and you’ve got you can schedule out for the entire month. I have another tip for you before this is over about scheduling that I learned from somebody else. That is ahead of me, okay, so we are going to put this on Facebook and we’re going to schedule it.

It says scheduled and then we’re going to schedule it. I scheduled it for today at 11:30 and it’s been scheduled to both places and it’s ready to go so I can have everything. Go it’ll publish to all my accounts that I wanted to go to and it’s done so. If you publish like three times a day or twice a day or even once a day on various accounts, everything will go out at the same time and I’ve just done the work once I don’t have to go into each of those accounts and you’re going to Get better at it as you go, you might, even during the month as you have ideas, start a folder get a Dropbox or a google doc, I’m folder and just start throwing things in there.

If you have some images or some quotes that you like to start throwing them in there and then when it’s time to sit down and do the next month, you have all your stuff. Now here’s my tip to end the day after just come up with three really good months, like 90 days of posts, okay, three good months, maybe even four and then after you use them, recycle them go back in and you can recycle them and use them all Over again, so you don’t have to keep recreating them over and over now once in a while, especially on Facebook, you might have something personal that you want to add or something that you really want to share.

That’s lengthy! You can go into paint Facebook on your own and just post stuff like that, the current stuff, but that stuff that you want to post. You know some quotes some inspirations. Some you might teach some things about the business that you’re in to help people maybe you’re into oils, and you have different products that you want to share like what they do, how they help improve their life.

Things like that, you will just post it and it’ll be on its own rotation. So there’s my tip so you’re doing a lot of work in the beginning. You get that system in place and then you don’t have to keep touching it, except when you go in to reschedule them to recycle them. Okay, so one day a month, it’s going to turn into maybe a half a day, or maybe two two hours after you recycle and you just saved yourself a heck of a lot of time.

3 Social Media Marketing Tips For Beginners In 2018

Alright, now, the reason why I Kind of like came up with this idea to shoot this article is because I’ve had a number of friends. Actually, personally, text me reached Out to me – and so I kind of wanted to maybe make this as like a little help for them As they’re going through and growing their business they’re all in different businesses.

So this could work if you know you’re real estate. You know on a marketing agency – Oh my god, Friends got want to start a Golf Channel, Another friend, that’s in network marketing. There’s there’s all these different things and it all is pretty consistent when you’re going through and building up your business on social media right now. Now, I’m just so you guys, if you guys, are brand new to the blog.

My name is Jason Wardrop And I use these exact strategies yesterday, mated twenty thousand dollars in just one day, I’ll, actually I’ll, throw a little Screenshot right here. Something like that. So you guys can actually believe me see that it’s real There’s, no exact strategies that I’ve gone through and used, And the cool thing is. I was just talking with a friend the other day actually, and we were talking about how, Like I started, diving into this stuff less than two years ago.

Okay, so it’s not like it takes you a whole lifetime. Let you go if you’re a doctor you’re going to go and get to spend eight to ten years in school, And then you kind of like hit a cap of what you can really go through and make, whereas with social media. Since you can reach so many people, you there’s not really a cap on your income or learning, And you could do it fairly quickly. Alright, But there’s a few core things that you need to know as we go through and break this down so step number one guys I’ll try to write it fairly big, so you guys can see this and excuse my my terrible handwriting here, but number one is Gain a Skill okay, so let me just hit this really quick guys, So many people – this is bugs me and I know it bugs a lot of people They go.

They try to be the fake expert because, like being an expert, is Big nowadays, because it’s like oh you’re, the expert go launch a course and make all this money. Well, if you don’t have any credibility or authority No-one’s going to go trust you and you’re going to make like Pennies compared to like what you really could make now, if you think about it, If you guys are familiar with Gary Vaynerchuk, which I’m sure so you Guys are, he is a big-time businessman.

He’s got millions of followers on all the different social media platforms, But the interesting thing is: if you guys go, look at the beginning of his career And when he first started out, he started out with a company called Wine Library, or it was called a Wine Library, TV Right, he start out with a YouTube blog and would shoot a article every single day to go through and propel His wine business.

He was selling wine out of his dad’s little shop And he went through it, took him to the Internet And then I think they sold that company for like 60 million dollars right. So You got ta gain a skill and ideally that skill is something that you’re passionate about right like so when my friends, He just texts me yesterday is like hey man. I want to start an Instagram page on our Instagram profile on golf he’s, a big-time golfer He’s super good at golf.

He’s in all these big-time tournaments He’s, like you know, how would I go through and do this, and so that’s the nice thing he’s got a skill, Whereas I’ve got other friends who they want to go through. They want to create the big social media following, But there’s no one, there’s no backstory to them like I’ve got another friend. He is called the bucket list. Family They’ve got, I think, close to million followers.

Now He’s got a cool story, He went started an app and sold a snapchat anyway, We were in the same business school together and we were having a few classes together, But what he did instead of going through and getting like that, necessarily like that skill, He Built a story around his profile right where it’s like: hey He’s taking his family, He sold everything all their belongings And then they’re traveling, all around the world and now they’re getting sponsorships and cool deals and stuff like that.

So he’s got a story behind it, whereas most people you’re going to need to have some type of skill set like You know, Gary Vee he went in and he started just like going through and Evaluating wines right or you need to go through, learn Facebook Ads. If you want to start a marketing agency Or you’ve got to get some, I got an another friend. He sells courses on Amazon, okay Or he sells stuff on Amazon.

He build a course around that and now his personal brands blown up. So We got to gain a skill guys that that’s number one, If not then you’re going to be kind of built on like a deck of cards. Okay, go on deck of cards, alright, So the second thing is going through, and this is this part number two is really what I think you guys here for is building a personal brand Okay, so I started about a year and a half ago marking two real Estate agents right and I’ve kind of become the known as The guy okay he’s the the real estate Legion marketing guy and all that stuff.

So I’ve worked with now a few thousand real estate agents, helping them generate leads Market. The business go and I’ll grow. That and now I’m kind of starting to help other people Create their own marketing agency right. So I’ve gone through and I’ve kind of built that personal brand – and it didn’t happen overnight and like with Gary Vaynerchuk, Didn’t happen overnight. He was for years doing that that daily show and just working – And he wasn’t like necessarily just like in the branding kind of comes with it right.

So when you’re going through and you’re building your personal brand, It’s key to pick the right platform. Where you know your users are going to be okay, so Bit my bigger, if like, if you guys, are reading this on YouTube, Which you are cuz, I’m shooting it for my youtube blog. You see, I probably have like a thousand subscribers, which is pretty miniscule Right. That’s not not that big on Facebook, I have about 30,000 followers.

Okay, which is you know it’s getting up there. It’s not like a huge falling, But it’s a decent size And the reason why I build it up on on Facebook is because there’s a lot of real estate agents. A lot of mortgage brokers a lot of real estate brokers on Facebook, more so than are on YouTube. Okay, and so I went through – and I built my personal brand on Facebook, But then, like my buddy, he wants to go through and build his.

He wants to build his Instagram account right so, depending on your business, You got to know your target market and know where they hang out, like, for example, And one friend I was telling you about who’s got. He sells on Amazon, well, Amazon, crypto Shopify, all that stuff. That’s super Hot, on YouTube right! So, if you’re going to go through and connect with other people, you got to make sure you’re using the right Platform where you know like snapchat.

It’s going to be a different following Instagram different following, whereas like Facebook, now You used to be all like kind of the younger generation and now none of the younger. I got some of the younger brothers and none of them are ever on Facebook. It’s kind of like: oh, that’s, not cool anymore. That’s for old people right, so you got to pick your right Platform is you’re going through a building and guys Like I could go through and we could hit different strategies on how to build on Instagram YouTube.

Facebook. All these different platforms, But there’s like there’s a million other articles out there on how to do each one of those specifically and there’s guys that, like they Specialize in that one platform, all right, so we’re not going to hit that in today’s article. I just want to cover a few these key concepts so that you can have a kind of core basic Understanding of some things that you should probably put in place When you’re going through and building up your social media following alright, then the third thing is Okay.

This is key to you: got ta have some type of product product to Sell. Okay. Now this obviously the whole idea behind all of this is that you can go through and make money For your business or make money just for life in general right. So You know some people might be starting to be like well Jase, I’m not in for the money. Well, Let’s get real at the end of day. At some point you are going to be right, you’re not going to want to spend all your time.

Game is skill, build a personal brand and then make no money whatsoever, okay, so the Products this could be a number of different things, so it could be a digital online course. Okay, It could be a software, it could be a physical good, Okay like, for example, Logan Paul. He sells like his maverick merges his t-shirts awesome. I don’t know how much she’s going to be selling now that that u2 is basically banning him or doing some crazy stuff there.

But you got to have a product to sell or like, for example, You know my buddy that wants to start the Instagram account for a golf okay. He can maybe have a training on how to go through and improve your putt or your chip shot Or you drive whatever it is. I don’t I don’t golf something all the different terms, or he could do some type of affiliate deals With links to Amazon. Where he’s saying hey, I recommend this driver.

This driver is awesome, It’s great to use, and then he get a little affiliate cut where you don’t have to manage any of the product, the shipping any of that stuff and That super beneficial, where you’re probably not going to make as much money. If it’s you just going to feel They attack the product, if you have your own products, you’re going to make a lot more money, But that’s another way to kind of like have that hands-free business more of the lifestyle type of business right.

So This is he right here guys because, yes, you can go through and make money from YouTube ad revenue. Yes, you can go make money from like brands and sponsorships and all that stuff, But honestly that type of money that you can make is like Pennies compared to. If you have your own product right. So I know people that they’ve got tens of thousands of followers. They’ve got hundreds of thousands of followers and They don’t make a ton of money because they don’t have this core back end product nailed down completely Okay.

So you got to think about Okay, If you have 10,000 followers or 30,000 or 100,000. What? What kind of like that niche right like what? What is that following based on and what would be something that they’d all be interested in? Maybe you could make like you know some t-shirts, like a community type t-shirt like Logan Paul at the Maverick brand like a. I mention a little bit earlier Or you know Gary Vaynerchuk.

He had the wine that he was going through and selling, so He went through gain a skill set. He was really knowledgeable up about wines: Okay, Build a personal brand around wine initially, And then he had the product to sell on the back end. Okay, now one core thing guys! I want you guys. I really want to stress this big-time gaining this skill. Okay, if you do not have a skill right now, No worries, okay, like so that’s kind of where I found myself about two years ago I was, I was doing a startup And I was like can’t.

I know I know some digital marketing stuff and all that stuff. But let’s say my startup completely tanked and everything just went to crap and I had to start over completely from scratch Or, let’s say even worse, like I had actually get a job right like happy for me, That would be like the worst thing on the planet. So what I thought was like man, You know I’m pretty good at like some of the social media mark and stuff, But kind of just been dabbling like I know SEO a little bit.

I know a little bit of the YouTube stuff. I know a little bit of all these things. I was like if I really knew how to go, sell on webinars buy really new Facebook Ads buy really new email marketing like I’d. Had these core skill sets that It served not only me, but you know every like a lot of other businesses. Okay, So I went through and I spent probably the next. I don’t know six and nine months going through and hammering that down really learning that skillset guys.

Believe me, It wasn’t easy but, as I mentioned guys, yesterday made twenty thousand dollars in just one day. So if you think about that, that was like less than two years ago that I took a step back was like man. I need a skill set. Okay, So if I can tell you, hey, go get a skill set nail it down and then in two years You could potentially be making five grand a day or ten grand a day or twenty grand a day Or I’ve got some buddies that are doing.

Like fifty to sixty grand a day, Okay, which is insane like I want, I want to get to that level like that’s crazy right, so anyway, guys. These are some kind of basic tips as far as how to get started With social media for beginners. If you really wanted to build a business around it, I highly Recommend gaining some type of skill set right Like get something where you either know a lot about a topic like whether it could be.

You know wine like Gary Vaynerchuk. It could be accounting finance marketing. Whatever it might be like or you know, tan or J Fox Talked a little bit about him on the blog before he knows how to sell on Amazon, right Or other guys to know how to sell on Shopify or, like my skill set was. I knew how to generate leads For real estate agents really well and now you know mortgage brokers and kind of like branch, that off from off that okay, Then I went through and after I kind of got that core base of like okay, these guys, I’m generating These form having great crazy success stories.

This is awesome. I can now go build my personal brand around it, and Now I’ve got a product to sell where we bill out of software. I have trainings, I have coaching’s all that stuff And then there’s easy, even things like little fingers of pieces that I can build off of that where it’s like now. I’ve got my core training teaching Real stages. How to generate leads on our software, and now I got a whole different training Teaching mortgage brokers.

How to generate leads on the software, because they’re so closely related right and now I’ve got a third training of teaching digital marketers right, like maybe you might be a digital, marketer or marketing agency right and teaching them. They go, get real estate, Clients and mortgage clients. Now I’m just I just started that a month ago, because a year year and a half ago, Yes, I was getting clients, But I wasn’t like getting him on a super consider how to go through, and I had to gain that skillset.

First, I had to like make a get a better foundation on that, And so once I built that solve foundation – and you know I think today so yesterday we did twenty thousand, and I think today, We’ve already had like 50 to 60 new signups or something like That on our software, So it’s like, I feel like I’ve – got that skill set got that nailed down where I Feel confident where it’s not like the blind leading the blind.

I know how to lead people to be able to say: hey, you want to generate real estate, leads and And go get real estate, clients and market for them and get paid a monthly commission for your marketing services. On that, Here’s exactly how to do that! Here’s like the légion campaigns, Here’s how to go through get more people organically. So anyway, It’s kind of a proven process. But, as I mentioned it’s taken time, so what I would suggest, if you’re completely starting from scratch Right now, you don’t have a skill set.

Take the next six months, KS January 2018 January 11th, I think, or twelve things, twelve Okay, so January 12 2018. Take it till set it to the goal. Okay, say by June You’re going to Have a solid skill set, whether it’s you know hey, you know how to generate leads or Forfor. Like you know, some type of business owner real stay Insurance whatever or you Know how to like golf or you know how to you’re really knowledgeable about wine or some topic and then once you do that, Go through And you’re helping people right, you’re getting some excuse.

Some testimonials experience, basically that credibility. That authority Then go start building your personal brand around it on the platform that that complements whatever niche You’re going after and then create some type of product to sell to the masses, And that’s the beauty about social media right like instead of back in the day When you could only reach your local real estate Agents like we’ve, got agents all across the United States and Canada And we’ve now, I think they were pretty close to 3,000 agents that have been on our platform and using our Training and all stuff which, which is Crazy right, like I, would have never been able to do that probably 20-30 years ago, But now I can do that because we’ve got social media.

The basic premise is this: there are three Main factors in all decisions – and you can only have two of them – let’s explore The triple constraint shall we, you can build a marketing campaign that is fast And cheap, but it probably won’t be very good quality or you can build a Marketing campaign that is cheap and of great quality, but it’s not going to be Fast or you can build a marketing campaign that is executed quickly and is A high quality, but it’s going to cost you a lot of money when defining a Project or series of work tasks there are boundaries and values that we need.

To work with them for me at the beginning of any major project, I need to Understand what the key priorities are given a situation, what does the Stakeholder of the project champion value the most. Is it time quality or Cost problems are going to occur, compromises will need to be made in Under these situations, what comes first, is it time, quality or cost? We don’t sometimes We have more resources, sometimes we don’t. Quality is often difficult to Measure what’s good quality, what’s poor quality, often quality is in The eye of the beholder the bottom line for me regarding quality is fitness for Purpose, for example, is a cheap cup of coffee quality.
