How to use Google Analytics by Aferdita Pacrami CEO 90 Digital

So a huge part of what we do is just analytics so having data there to kind of explain what we do to see if it works to pretty much come up with strategies and everything is led by date. Everything is led by research or ohm, analytics dates, and things like that, so this is cool.

What we’re going to talk about today, specifically focusing on google analytics. It’s widely used analytics platform. It’s pretty, and I guess that’s what you guys are learn who this semester first thing: I’m not really going to go through how to add the tracking code and stuff, like that. That’s that’s kind of basics and Google Analytics itself as well, just really good guides for how to do this, but these a more kind of tips that maybe they might not really tell you about so first thing when you first set up with google analytics account.

You’ve got your account, your property and your main view as a default. You’ve got the all the website date of you now. Something to bear in mind with google analytics. Is that as soon as you set it up, that’s when it starts recording data. So it’s not historic its immediate and, if you add any filters to refuses, then who are likely to that tells good want to let it how to track so it completely changes what it’s trucking.

So so you have a filter soon ignore any visits from the UK. For whatever reason it literally will ignore them. So let’s say today you set up your google analytics tomorrow. You apply this filter, you leave it there for a week, then after week, you’ve removed it. That means that you’ve got a hold of completely different data, and you can see the issues with this because then you’ve got inconsistencies in your data.

So something to remember is whenever you set up, google analytics make sure that you’ve got one completely unfiltered view. This is one where you don’t apply any filters, don’t change anything and it’s their kind of as a backup, because if you make any mistakes with your filters or if you just want some clean data which is really valuable, you want to make sure that’s there and Then you can have your main here with them.

You know if you can filter IP addresses or whatever and then also set up a test where you would test out new filters before you apply because, like I said it’s, it’s immediate. So if you get that wrong, then you’ve got on the clean data so make sure always to have a test view. It’s really the core of using should have or the minimum or through it. You can have up to 25 and you can set it up. However, you want it always the three important ones.

Are your unfiltered view, your main you, where you apply some coracle, turns your document and also test view where you can test out any additional filters. Yes, so the main filter that I would first of all set up his IP filters, um. Yes, whatever business, you have you, you don’t want to track your own visits, because I could end up being misleading if everyone, your team, has come something on your site.

You know dates up, might look really impressive when in reality could be. You know half of the traffic that you’re getting any other filters depend on kind of what you’re. After so, for example, you might want to set up separate these four different other folders on your site, so you can set up these four. So they’re, pretty easy to add you um analytics, already gives you kind of predefined filters that are the most common ones that you use and again one of the main ones that everyone uses an IP address filter and it’s just excluding your IP address and just a Note on IP addresses – I don’t know if everyone knows this, but a personal internet providers have a dynamic IP addresses. So, for example, if you’ve got whatever intimate you’ve got at home, your IP address will likely change every few months.

Family business providers really offer static. Ip addresses so that’s something to bear in mind when it folks bring our IP addresses. If, for example, you want to build throw your University access are not so sorry tropic, then you can set that up. You can just find out with your IP addresses for your uni and it ignores all traffic on between you guys. But if you want to filter out your home activity, you your best of doing that, maybe with location looking at other ways doing that instead of IP address, because after a few months, you’re going to have a different IP address and best case scenario.

Is you just have to update these filters every few months, which I don’t really recommend because it’s a lot of admin work worst case scenario, these IP addresses get reused by your internet providers, so somebody else subscribe to that entering our package will get your old IP Address now it’s pretty unlikely, but they might end up being a user on your website, so you unknowingly, filtered they’re out there relevant traffic.

If you have any kind of search functionality site, is to set up site search on there. It’s really valuable information because it gives you an insight into what people are looking for when they come onto your site, especially the reason one people would you say, searches, because they haven’t immediately found what they’re looking for and by seeing the keywords after entering – and you Know exactly what they’re interested in and maybe how to make the process easier for them how to make the presence of fondant that page easier for them.

So again, it’s in your main um preferences. That’s what is you just switch on the site, search, tracking, German, beautiful? So in Google this would be your profit ur q and it’s kind of the most used one in a lot of search functionality. Anything after search Q equals Tesco. This is the keyword, research for tesco stores. Some sites have additional filters, so, for example, they’ve got the main search box and then categories, and you can set that up as well, so that you can look at which categories people are selected.

For example, update you select your parameter queues and everything after this parameter is the site search. You can strip that openurl, so you don’t see it in your pointing, and you can also set up a category parameters for the counterpoise. It’s always before an equal sign. Is there another thing to make sure to switch on when you’re studying google analytics of this on the demographics reports? So this is typically used for a remarketing data, but it’s also really useful for getting additional data analytics reports again this this future can be found in your few dates on these settings and what it does is when we go into your audience with points you can Actually see the different demographics of users that are coming onto your site and that’s really useful data I mean, in the long term, maybe want to do some surveys with the customers to find out where they are what they’re interested in.

But this is a great start about, because once you have this kind of information, you can really target your website to. You know that you know mainly 25 to 34 year olds, physiol website them and the majority of them are male. Then you have some ideas of how to target them. You also get interests as well. So you can see what else are interested in the way that Google Analytics take statements just by seeing what else are searching for a new database when they go to your site.

So because so many people use google analytics and they also have all the data from search. They could give you this information, but we need to enable um demographics in your setup. So I’m going to go through just some different types of conversions and how you can set up goals. So, first of all, goals are in your view as well are just in your viewing kollam. You can see Bulls there, and this is kind of how it looks like against you.

Some template, wolves and you can use or you can set up your own custom goals. These templates are quite good, but they fit specific purposes. So if you don’t have an e-commerce site, then you may just want to set up your own goal. So I’m going to talk a bit about micro, conversions and before I go into well. How does that are, for you have two different kinds of conversions and your micro, conversions and macro conversions.

A macro conversion is kind of your of the main conversion. It’s your answer. So, if you’re an e-commerce site, it’s the point where somebody ads as an item to the basket and makes approaches they bought a pair of shoes over something that is a macro conversion. Micro conversions are smaller conversions that lead to user to making a purchase. So it could be something like subscribing to your newsletter.

It could be spending more time on your site, so reading descriptions of the shoes reading, reviews um things like this, so things that would lead somebody to making a macro conversion your site and or you can set up with tons of conversions in Google Analytics. And it’s just in a goal set up. Okay, so a an example of a micro conversion would be time on sites. I am assuming that the more time people spend on the side the more the more interest that they are in the content, so the more they’re reading about the products, the services that I’m offer.

So I would look at the average duration on the site and see typically how long people take before they converts before the odds of basket or hook complete a form or whatever. And then I would take an average of kind of how long who was fun before making that macro conversion and I’d set that up visible. So in this case I’m saying if somebody spends five minutes for more on my site, then that’s a goal.

You can also add about you to these goals for monetary value. Um. If you have an e-commerce store, you know kind of you can add some how much each micro and macro go on what the monetary value is there. So, for example, you’ve got different products. You can add a monetary value of exactly how much each product costs curr macro go. So you know this conversion made X amount of money and at the end, just um.

You can select verify the school just to make sure that it works and say that part of a broader topic, but really before you kind of decide on what conversions. What what successes on your site! You need to really identify your business objectives. So if you say you’re a small business with an informational site, what what’s the point of the site, why are you online? What are you trying to accomplish? Are you a lead generator um? Are you a service provider? What is the point of even one? It’s kind of a really big question, so if you’re, if you’re just a blog um, then again I mean maybe you could answer in hypotheticals here, but if you’ve set up a business blog, what do you want to achieve with them? There are loads of different ID butters and links are still very important, though they’re not the most important things.

So if all you’re relying on is getting links for one blog, then it will help a fraction a bit, but not that much, because if you’re constantly getting links from one root domain than those links are less valuable and also it depends on how trust working. What the quality is of the blog, that’s linking out your business site. So if it’s kind of just a wordpress blog, then it adds very little value, whereas if it’s a really strong blog with the consistent following on constantly getting red and those links, you know it’s constantly ranking for its you post them.

That adds a lot more about. You so it’s all, contextual um! Really if you do have a link building campaign kind of wan na um, you want to variety. You don’t want to keep sending links just one place because then it kind of looks like you might have a partnership with this blog. So give you some hypotheticals if you have a business and you’re just adding a block, see that business then some reasons why you might want to do that in some, your blog could potentially help you learn: corn, um long till key phrases.

The way that your business site might not be able to because they’re bit limited in the type of content and they’re, not really targeting informational searches or mainly targeting transaction assertions, a blog is really good for that. So hypothetical ball in that case is just counting number of unique visitors, because the assumption there is that if you are constantly ranking on informational searches on long till key phrases, then you are more likely to get more visitors through to the blog.

But that would be a micro conversion and that would lead to potentially been sending this traffic on your business life by having strong calls to action on the blog. Sometimes the reporting you’ll be highlighting the number of visitors. The blog is generated for your main sites. That’s a new that’d be a good metric yeah. So again, a difference here would be blogs typically have a high bounce rate, because if you’ve got a consistent leadership, then they really just go read your latest post enemy.

They don’t do research, they don’t check out. Other pages um, but what we want to do it if you have a blog on your business site, is trying to move those readers to your business. I to make a transaction or whatever it is. You want them to do if it is spreading awareness for your business again, then you want to kind of measure things off site, um measure, how many people are talking about you in social medias.

There are several social monitoring tools out there um measure, how many people are talking about you, an external site, so not necessarily links but brand mentions. So all kind of awareness, conversions awareness balls would be mainly off your site, another hypothetical for why you might set up a blog is so again what we already talked about. This is to pass conversions to your main site. Um. There isn’t really a blueprint for this.

It’s always depend on what what you want to get out of it. So what your end result is, and once you know your end results you can come up with well, you know you’ve got your macro conversion, which is your end result, and then you can figure out different micro, conversions that lead to user to that end result. So if you do have forms and surveys I mean this – is this: this lie that I’m on now is it could example how to track that um.

I just set up a destination goal so that you get the thank you page of your survey. If there they’ve got a forum, if they’re signing up to an email newsletter or a survey by dealing when you set that up, you want to make sure at the end you send them to a unique URL. Sorry not unique hero, but thank you well so that you can track who has the medicine submitted this and then digging deeper into this? If your survey has several papers you can set up funnels, I think I yep and what funnels do is.

Let’s say your survey has five different pages: um, you know. First page is just kind of finding out about them like seeing if they can onto your survey. If you’ve got a really good survey, then yeah the first page is qualifying them and if they don’t qualify, then you send them to a page. Sir. You know sorry thank you for participating. They don’t follow by check out our other surveys here and you track that as a goalless walks.

You want to see me specifically how many users are coming to site and completing that survey. Arms polyphony, then you’ll get an idea of kind of your user group and when page one is, do you qualify page two is basic questions bundler, but your interest whatever paged me whatever? It is your surveys about so you’ve got five different pages. You set up fun ways in your goal destination, so your and route your destination is the thank you page, the funnels to the destination or each of the pages that lead to the end goal.

When you set this up – and you know if it’s a linear park – PPP they’re all required, if any, are skipped depending on what the user answers them, you know you, some of them won’t be required for then in your reporting. Once this is set up, you can see exactly where your users have dropped off. So if you’ve got a hundred people starting the survey and only 30 people go to the thing to your page, then you can look up.

You know first, how many people qualify for the survey and then at what point did they drop off Anna Vissi? Maybe page three had a very high dropout rate, then um. This is a good application of. Maybe you need to fix them. Maybe the questions are too hard. Maybe you know you know the user, don’t really understand. Maybe your surveys too long and beginning to really only need three pages. Whatever is like that’s the point to test, but yeah, if you do have a servant, you’re collecting that kind of dates are then set a destination ball with funnels when looking at your data, some of the stuff that you might want to do is compare a month On one year on year and stuff, like that, gurgaon alerts – and it’s this really easy from here – you can set date, ranges either manually or on using one of their presets compared to previous periods.

You compared to previous one previous year, whatever something that I would kind of recommend you’re, looking at monthly dates, i’ll break it down by day, you’re looking out yearly data, your best breaking it down by month, because sometimes you can get kind of a normal. These very things you know things change daily, but if they’re comparing year on year on year, what you want to do is to see if there are any seasonal trends for high light.

Anomaly is sometimes, if you get huge spikes or hear excerpts for August, let’s say whereas August in previous years, the so when is kind of roughly the same, and then you can get deep into that investigate, but yeah comparing times is really useful. Just for you know, seeing any improvement or seen seasonality, which is huge monolithic, sometimes you’ll get our traffic going down over the winter, and you know, rankings are still the same.

Everything else is still the same, but yet you’re getting less visitors on your site and instead of freaking out I’m thinking, I need to change my whole strategy. Something’s going wrong. You just compare a year on year and see. Is this normal to do? I get this visits during the winter. Do I get more visits during the autumn on same kind of thing? If your topic is increasing over the summer, you think oh yeah, this is working.

Let’s throw more budget, he thinks it’s working so well, but Chuck first see what patterns are on your data um, because the other thurs you usually do get concert. I’r going to be doing. Please look into that. So you’ve got a huge spike in June. The spike in traffic look at what kind of activity that was what you want. Maybe at some point is that way cause of traffic is that coming from. Is that the right traffic is that brand searches? Is it referrals what’s happening there? That’s where you dig deep and that’s when you can break it down in two days, um being hinter a lot of stuff with just kind of twine of your analytics data.

Something else you can do is use Google’s URL builder for me, and Google Analytics will naturally break down things into different campaign mediums and source and the reason when you would use even all builders if you’ve got a specific company. So it’s saying your university is doing any kind of winter term. Company we’ve got some new voices coming up and being able to promote them, so maybe you’re committing to buy an email by a various social other sites.

Referrals things like that. The best way to do that to kind of break it up from normal traffic, when your site is to use the URL builder going to create a unique whirl um. That looks something like this one here below that has a UTM source and it’s got all the campaign data. Now this overrides: let’s move one of the tips so, like I said, Google Analytics will already give you the source and medium, but once you set this up this world, it will wonder why puff.

So it is important that you enter this information correctly. You do understand the difference between source and this kind of stuff, because if you get it wrong, then you might get messy dates off so to go through this, but source is actually where this visit is coming from. That could be Facebook that could be google. I could be email, um does our gmail. That could be the actual site. The medium is the type of a visit, so it could be a referral.

It could be a search, organic PPC, email on. Does that make sense, some medium is the type and source is the actual place coming from campaign term is mainly used for paid keywords. Now, there’s no point of setting up your UTM tracking, if you’re doing, if you’re using AdWords, because it’s a lot better, but you can just link up your AdWords account. There is enough Google Analytics. However, if you using any other platforms that aren’t supporting with Google Analytics um the necessary, so that of like maybe um – I’m not a BBC expert, but maybe you’ve got some sort of um search platform.

Um this on social or something you’ve got and they’re finding your ad space in simpler words, that’s what you would amputated, not open on lyrics, just ignore out where it’s just sort of those two up campaign content. Hmm! This is, if you’re doing a split test, um landing page, so if you’ve got so, this is the pager tracking, sulfur, um, AC and papered / business, but you’ve got two different iterations of that page, one that highlights all the modules in the winter.

We are the one that highlights all the activities on the extra connectivities in the winter and you’re tracking, with this particular components who want to campaign sources Facebook’s its referral. But you want to see which one is more popular, the one that talks about the studies or the one that told us about the extracurricular stuff and that’s where you’d under the campaign content here. So here, for example, I would put in um studies.

So that it struct one traffic comes in through these lengths, then you can see it in your acquisitions section on google analytics. So this URL is what you get when you fill in this form and then let’s say you want to share this on Facebook, let’s just um. Actually, I won’t do it so mess up your analytics, but that’s the page against you with the additional stuff on my url. So all this stuff, UTM source facebook for all campaign winds, return um.

If you share that URL on stop, then anyone that clicks on that link from facebook and lands on this page, you will see it in Google Analytics under the acquisition. Their income pays. Well, anyone could set it up and come I mean you do see some thumb. Let’s set up like this um but yeah. I don’t want to run this exercise if everyone, if your data person knows if this is happening, but if you all click on this link and go to that page, then, when you check out the google analytics, you can see that as a campaign there and see How many visitors that page is sound, but i’ve seen some really interesting examples of spam using this technique to set up segments so um as a default on any report that you’ve got.

You see kind of all sessions that you want to compare it so similar to what I showed you with dates. Comparing month or month or year, you can compare um, for example, all sessions and mobile traffic or um. We can compare all sessions with them, only ones that converted and then you can kind of get um a more in-depth view of your data on segmenting your data like well, and then you can find on any report.

It’s just at the top here. You click on. Choose segments and um there’s a lot here. You can create ring segments as well and you can compare up to four segments, so you can have four different things up here and same with dashboards. If you find there’s a lot of information, Google Analytics, if you find that you’re only interested in some of the information – and you don’t want to keep scrolling here to get those separate reports – you can create dashboards.

If you create multiple dashboards and name them, you know whatever to serve your own age in dashboard, for any kind of referral, dates that you can have the hall here. Really good ones are from really good analysts and you can just add them to your own. Google analytics or modify them and then you can get into you can get them to understand about customizing a lot more by looking at what these other people are doing and kind of Highland customize things, and we have decided a list of good resources on just Google Analytics and analytics and measuring generally um, these top workloads are really good.

A really good analyst is written several books on um analytics platforms that are really useful, but a lot of the important content of his books is in his blog. Kissmetrics is the platform and they’ve got a really strong load as well. Buna metrics um also analytics has some sorry tips. Google analytics is different courses on how to use on google analytics and other platforms.

EASY Way To Create A Website For Your Salon Using WIx.com

Com, and I want to show you guys how easy it is to create a website for your salon. I use a company for my salon website called Wix, I’m not really affiliated with Wix in any way. I just think it’s a very simple website builder for anybody. Anybody can do this, so I’m going to go ahead and I’m going to show you guys so, let’s switch over here alright.

So let’s get started in this way. So this is basically the Wix website builder. It looks exactly like a website, that’s what makes it very convenient a lot of you don’t know, but most of the time websites are built with something that they call code and code is basically a bunch of letters that somebody that went to school for a long Time learned to write – and you know most people cannot do that.

So this is so simple, and what I like about Wix is. Let me just show you. This is our front page of our website, so my salon is gratitude, salon, education. This is definitely not if you’re a website builder already. This is not the article for you. This is just me, showing you salon owners out there that it’s easy and you can create your own site very simple, so this is the basic menu. We have our social media stuff up here, so you could click that that’s easy to set up.

So the cool thing about Wix is it’s just as easy as clicking it? Let’s say I don’t like that there and I want to put it over here. I can do that and I just drop it, but let’s I want to keep it right there. So we have that up there and then I have my main menu here. All of this is connected to each page that I have developed for our website. So if I want to shrink that down a little bit, so we have our home menu, which is this, then we have our salon like about the salon and what? What the salons all about so the bio of the salon.

Then we have our menu for the salon. We have a portfolio with some pictures of hair that we’ve done and then a contact page and then the salon professional page is the free salon, education, komm page, which you can also click this image here. So, let’s just start with the basics over here is how you create pages. So if I click that it opens up, it shows you all of the different pages that are connected to our website.

So if you wanted to, let’s just start with the salon page so I’ll click – that this will show you what the salon page looks like it shows a picture of our salon very simple, and this is a slideshow. So it’s many different pictures put together. We have basically the description of our salon, what our salons all about, then there’s drop-down menus from that. So if actually let me open up, let’s open a new tab and let me go to salon gratitude comm, so this is our actual page and how it works.

So if you go to the salon, you can see this drop down menu here you can see that the slideshow is working here, showing some of the staff and everything so to create these drop-down menus. Let’s go back to our editor. I have my main salon page. Then you can see how these pages are offset. So now each of these pages, this one is the salon. Then we have owners so a picture of me and Christina and Hayden, and it just talks about us being owners and what that’s all about.

Then you go to our team and it has the BIOS of our whole team in here kind of breaks down everything. It’s really simple to do. So if I want to create the main salon page here and then have drop down menus from it right here, you can see these are a little offset. So if I want to actually show up in the menu I drag, let’s see I could take this page drag it over and now you can see team shows up here.

So if I want it to be in a drop down menu from the salon page here, then I just drag it over. So it’s really really simple. Anything I want to do if I want to change this picture. I’ll have to do is double click it once. I double click that picture see here. It’ll bring up this editor and you can upload there’s some of our friends in there. This is also connected to the free salon, education, comm page, but any picture I want to add in there let’s throw Josh XO a bone.

Let’s say I want to become Josh Excel, so let’s change the image and boom it puts it right there. You can change the size if you want, and then that becomes your bio. So let me go back to let’s change it back to me. I don’t have to be Josh, so, let’s see here and there we go. So it’s back to me. So it’s just that simple to change the pages and whatever you want it to be. Now we’ll go back to our pages here we have our menu.

That brings up the same thing. If you want to click an image, you can add images, you can change your pricing, you can write whatever you want. So let’s say I want to edit this text. I double click it I can highlight. I can write whatever I want, so I can come in here and type in and then you click out of it and you’re good to go. Let me just take that away here, so it’s just really simple: to create a website on Wix and the cool thing about Wix.

Is that it’s free for you to start so you just create the page and then the maximum amount that you’re probably going to pay, is $ 10 a month to be able to have a website. You can create your own domain and everything, and as soon as you have your page, the exact way that you want it, you save it up here so once you save it you’re good, then you hit publish and whatever is already done on your website.

Once you hit publish its going to go live so you can do all your editing and then, as soon as you have it the way you want it, then you publish it and it’s it’s ready to go so again up here. You can change your your logo and everything, and this is something that you want to get into it. Try it out and you’ll you’ll discover different things. This isn’t a full tutorial on it, but this is just showing you how easy it is to create a website.

Nowadays, now the other cool thing and let’s go back to our home page here, creating a slideshow is simple, so you can see all these images that I have added in here. So that’s going to rotate through. You can add your titles, whatever you can link them to other things, so that’s kind of a cool function as well. So if you have something, maybe you’re running a special in the salon – and you want to link it to that – I also we gift cards in the salon and we use millennium a gift, so they’re online gift certificates.

So what I did was I created an image and then this don’t do that. I linked it to our Millennium a gift. So now, if you go to our salon website and you’re like oh, I want to order a gift certificate. You click that it takes you to our page on millennium, for them to purchase a gift card which is really cool as well. We there we go so has our logo here they pick a design whatever they want. They buy the gift card to emails it to someone which is another cool thing that you can do, but you can click and add everything to whatever you want.

How We Make YouTube s: The Gear, Process, Kdenlive, Gimp, OBS & Other Open Source Software

So this is how I make youtube articles. I’ve actually gone through a lot of iterations, but because this is the first one I think I’ve documented top to bottom we’re going to call it version 1.0. When, technically, I have lost track of versioning, but for purposes of YouTube here and when I go back and say: okay, what did I change? I can make version, you know one point whatever or when I do a lot of changes.

Maybe a version to X, we’ll figure out like all projects that are open-source and you try to figure out what you’re going to do for versioning numbers and that can be the complicated part. Occasionally at least for me, because I think gives us a big change. An incremental change, but let’s get started. What we have here is, and I’m going to swap between the cameras and then I’m going to show how I actually put this article together on the editing side, and the reason I have to do both is because my youtube blog is obviously a lot of tutorials And some articles like this, so there’s a mix of things I do and I want to kind of show all of them.

So this part is the filming part is freely called filming. Nothing is film, it’s all digital, but this is the part where we do things in the studio and how we edit it together up. Here I have a GoPro just out of frame. Then we have two lights. I have my Aston microphone in shotgun mode, which is currently the audio source and I’m trying to figure out how to get the audio when I do behind here. I guess I’ll just be oh, so I have my aperture light and my cheap softbox from I well.

I think I got it either for me, I was on or ebay I’ll find an Amazon link for you. This is not an expensive one at all. That’s a little bit more money, but not excuse me that one’s a little bit more money, but I still really like it because it works really. Well, it’s an LED light. It’s portable. It’s got batteries on it, but now that we’re doing more studio stuff, I’m leaving these set up more often anyways.

So when we’re doing a product review, for example, I got a couple of products here. I got my pixel phone, which I’m getting get ready to do a review on. I currently have my GoPro mounted to a boom stand over here, and this boom stand works really good to hold a camera. Now I’ve Marvin’s camera’s, not here right now, I’ve been borrowing his 70d until I can decide whether or not a one of I another, seventy which I think I have a deal on a line on one right now, but that’s primary.

What we’re shooting with over there is the Canon 70d. I’m really happy to the camera everyone’s like. Oh, it doesn’t do 4k or doesn’t do this. I’m like. I don’t think my tutorials would be any better in 4k if they not adding any value, then yeah. Why even add it to there? Also we for the TV hookup, so we can see what we’re doing we have a wire going from that. So this is what I see over here. So kcci do glance over there.

Try never to look, but when we’re setting up this is an easy way for me to see. What’s going on is to look, we just plug it into the TV. I understand everything is going on with the camera and you know gives me a good idea of things on there now with the magic lantern software, it’s nice, because it gives me the audio level. So I can make sure the audio is good on this, and this asked a microphone I’ll leave a link to below I’m really happy with this purchase.

Now everyone’s, like. Oh rode, mic Pro this that I tried the rode mic I had the road might go. I liked it, but I liked the audio quality better on the Aston and it does stereo. So when we did that group setting where we had all of us here doing hot sauce, the acid microphone didn’t phenomenal job. We have it. This is also on a boom. Stand but I will show you that these lights here and the couple poles it’s all – I really need to get a lot of this done.

I am, though, prop maybe today I’ll do this. I didn’t like it I’m kind of getting sick of the orange behind us because I think it detracts from some of the colors, so we’re going to switch to just a gray background. We want to do maybe some color splashes that’ll be like a version 1.1. Changing the background is hardly a major change, but what’s important is the workflow and how this gets done and how the articles get produced.

So this is filming. That’s filming I’m going to splice in a little bit of filming off of this, so I can pull the whole project together and show you what’s going on, but I switch the camera on here right now or maybe I should do the GoPro I’ll do the GoPro. It’s got a better audio because I can put a microphone on the GoPro and I’ll walk around and kind of show you from the other side what this looks like.

So this is the aperture light. I know it’s kind of rigged in here that’s unfortunate, but we’re going to we’re going to put that inner right. That’s like! Shall we to do list? It’s got screw, it’s really solid, isn’t going where this is battery-powered. This is the aperture al5 tu es. So we can dial in if we need to do this, it’s on a tilts, it’s keep it plugged in. But if I unplug it like, I said it’s on battery, so you loses no brightness works really well.

This is the less expensive and hopefully the microphone doesn’t pick up too much noise shrimp. If I don’t get you close, this mic on the GoPro picks up a hum just generic cheap soft box from Amazon with for us and tubes in it, which is why it causes problems with this microphone. This I really like I’ll leave a link to this. This is the boom stand that we use for holding the camera up works really well, and this is one thing that’s really cool about this boom stand.

Let me break it down real quick and it drops down simple as that. Now it’s locked in place and then those legs fold up, so we can make it nice and small same with this. We hang the ear kind of up here when I’m not using it. That way, when we need more chairs and more places, which we keep the chairs all nice and neat kind of on the wall here. This is where all the extra gear ends up. So these are lots of connectors doodads.

There’s all our podcasting equipment, different ball heads. I really like these Joby heads they’re great, for holding things on this little case is where we put things like the GoPro and the other cameras. That’s how we do our time. Louses charging drone stuff the drones actually up there in shelf and when it’s all done, everything goes in here. We lock it that way when we have like get-togethers with random people coming in and out all the gear and all the little doodads.

No, I don’t want to be touching them. It is less I’m worried about people stealing it it’s much more, that people pick things up and touch it and lenses are super expensive, speaking of which that also brings me to this. This is my lenses, the Sigma 10 to 20, so this is for the real wide-angle shots. I really like this lens. I’ve had it for like ten years this, they call the Canon nifty 50. 50 millimeter.

It is a F 1.8. You can pick this lens up for like really cheap. It’s super inexpensive. I definitely like it quite a bit, but some of the other gears just miscellaneous stuff. You know lens cleaner stuff, like that. Maybe I’ll do a separate gear article. I do have a lapel mic in here and that’s what this is. I just don’t use it that often it’s kind of nice when you want to walk around and I get the microphone, but I don’t do that as much when I do.

These are the audio technica Pro 8 8 w RS pick these up for dirt cheap on eBay. I just dislike the fact that they use a 9-volt battery and they create a little bit of a history in the background so anytime I use it. I have to edit that out – and it annoys me, the Canon 70d itself is got the kit lens the 18 to 135, with the Image Stabilizer. We leave it off because it actually uses a little bit of battery when it’s on the tripod, but I use it.

Of course, if I’m trying to your free hand, which is pretty rare, free handing the camera unless you’re a really good camera man – which I am not that needed, so I try to tripod as much as I can. Even this has some shake now. This is just using HDMI out that goes up there. There’s your HDMI in the wall goes through. The ceiling comes back down behind the TV and it’s hard to see, but back there behind the TV is where all the lines come through to get that signal from over here to over there.

That’s simple effective though, and I like it here, is I dislike wires along the floor. If you didn’t notice, even these wires go plug in underneath and over here, so there’s nothing across our path. The only thing that kind of goes across the path is the audio cable. When I plug it into the Canon, but that’s life you’ve got a. I haven’t really found an easy solution, but that’s why we run it on this tall or boom stand from the Aston microphone up over back to the camera.

It’s easy enough for people to walk right under it, and this is that as tuned microphone, that has both the stereo and mono features low-pass filters. Some boosting the auto mode is my favorite because it automatically turns on when the camera turns on and it turns back off. So let’s turn all these things off and get to editing’s. That’s how we see where the open source comes into play and how holla’d all actually happens in case you’re wondering my GoPro setup, pretty simple: it’s a GoPro with one of them metal cages, a little hot shoe mount and the road might go and the stupid $ 50 GoPro adapter that you need to have to make this all work.

I have no idea. This is a cheap tripod that I bought all this off, Craigslist a guy who was just dumping it for really cheap – or at least this metal case. And this thing, so I don’t know what brand is some off-brand x-series, but it gets the job done for well doing what I just did with it. So it’s definitely handy for that. So for those of you see my desk before you know, I have a three desk layout, I’m going to jump to the other camera here and show you I zoom back out against the wall.

These are the three monitors, so everything’s kind of spread across all these screens, and now I’m going to insert that article into the article of me making the article now. This is actually could be showing me how to screw up making a article, because I added at the end of it and did a bunch of editing on how I did the editing and I don’t like the any of the ending of it. So I’m going back and re editing and Reese, placing just the ending of it.

I realized that I was a little bit too zoomed out trying to show three screens it’s how I edit and that didn’t portray well at all on YouTube. You just couldn’t see what I was doing, so I’m going back to dragging everything. So this is the three screen layout with well there’s different layouts here. This is a three screen layout. This is how my layout actually looks when it’s in process and then working.

This is a preview window on one side, but obviously this is really hard for you guys to see. What’s going on, I realized after I recorded me editing, but the article is edited, so I’m just going to cut out the end and redo that part. I tried it like this, and this is also hard to see what I’m doing so, we’re just going to drink everything to the middle screen and get rid of the webcam, so you can see what I’m doing for the editing parks this.

This is the hard part to show because there’s a lot that goes into editing, so I showed some of how I copied files and things like that, and that’s I thought maybe the interesting but maybe not imposed so I do is I’m done. I kind of proof most of my articles I try to prove from, but we’ll just bring over here and show you what I do so here is the editing part that I didn’t like this is going to get deleted.

Here’s all the stuff that came off of all the cameras I use so I had my GoPro. I had my screen capture, which I’m doing again right now, which was called. Finally, I just named it that you know my naming schema. That’s whatever makes it work for you, but what I will talk about is a couple little things, so one of them is – and I’ve talked about before I use sync thing: singing is backing up my article folder continuously, as I drop things in here.

I’ve did a whole article on that and whatever your workflow is making sure you have a solid backup. I like automated backups, specifically using the syncing tool and it backs up to my FreeNAS continuously, so it’s on my hard drive it’s backing up over to there. So that’s getting copied over then we just drag all these files, which I’m not going to direct them again, but you just drag them all in a kdenlive and then we drag them all to the tracks and I’m holding the ctrl key zooming in and out.

I got a tutorial on how to use Kate and live, and you know putting all this together now I started the intro of this article with a little classic 8-bit song. Let me see if I can change the view here so there’s my little preview that I dragged right there, so you can see going through editing the normally I edit on the other, monitor but, like I said, there’s not an easy way to 40-percent a dual monitor Layout it just unless you have a 4k and I export this at 4k.

You wouldn’t be able to read all this, but this is me cutting between all of them. You line up the audio, you get it all say: okay, here’s the audio! This is the GoPro article. This is the main camera article and it’s how I cut between them for the overhead shots and then I’m using OBS at the end, which I’ll drag my OBS screen over here, which it just goes to infinity, because it’s recording, OBS, recording, recording, OBS, recording and makes Kind of a cool effect in the background – and it OBS, is how I do my voiceover, so I got my setups here and this is what it looks like back on a three screen layout.

So let’s do this view. This is actually how it looks. I’ve Shrunk the screens over here, just going to give you guys an idea and a view, and all the voiceovers are recorded on a Yeti microphone in my little office with soundproofing here and very important soundproofing on the other side, because your voice goes this way. It reflects back so the back is to get rid of sound reflection at the back and the front and get rid of the sound reflection in front to kind of keep a dead area for the voice-over work.

But you know these tools are all free and open source and wonderful. Kdenlive is great OBS great cobia, cisco cross-platform, and someone will ask this kdenlive. I know they are working on a Windows version. Sorry, I’ve tried it that doesn’t work very well, it’s once it’s all done we’re going to render in process and then we jump over to GIMP and I have a template saved here in GIMP. That’s got the little black bar at the bottom and then I just go on the web and literally like the Canon 70d I typed in Canon 70d transparent there.

It is there I typed in Kaden, and these are just google image search while she this one didn’t need to be. I went to their website and it’s part of that’s their logo. Author header, I just grabbed it and you can actually just go copy image. Edit paste new layer – and you can get things added on there just like that and GIMP GIMP – is not as easy to use as Photoshop. It’s been a struggle because I’m a Photoshop guy, so I started learning it.

But if you started out, we get there’s some great tutorials you can find on it. I’m not good enough to make a tutorial on it, but I will tell you: I’ve been doing my thumbnails and everything for quite a while and editing the basics like what you’re seeing here in camp, and it’s worked out really well for me. So it definitely definitely can be done and once it’s all done, cuz GIMP saves in its own special format.

We file we export this and I called it how we make youtube articles, the gear and the process and the open source software and, like I said like going in-depth on the software, I have a tutorial on kdenlive already. I don’t really have one on OBS, but it’s maybe I’ll do one at some point. Obs feels almost self-explanatory. You just keep adding the different scenes like the webcam and then that’s what all these are.

Some are just microphones middle screen, webcam just left screen right screen. All my screens with me at the bottom and then you can just go here and if I want to put myself in the middle for this, but this is well technically. This is where I sit, because this is the the layout you’re seeing above is my three screen layout. That’s in here, so hopefully this was helpful kind of give you an idea how we do this.

I will leave links below to the tutorials. I have on how to use kdenlive how to get started with kdenlive in editing article. That’s probably the part break people find the most challenging recording stuff with OBS load it it’s pretty straightforward. Maybe I’ll do a specific tutorial on there, but OBS is a great way to do screen capture. I might do a specific review on a 7, but there’s a lot of mouths to die.

Cameras been around since 2013. So that’s it’s a I’m still happy with it’s a really great camera. I don’t really people like oh go, mirrorless yeah cool. Maybe I have the 70d. I don’t plan to replace it until it breaks. So, for now it’s a great camera and it’s not about the camera. It’s about coming up with teaching someone something the story, and the narrative is much more important. The tutorial the knowledge sharing is important.

1080 seems good enough for knowledge sharing, at least for me. For now, if my thought, my knowledge would look better in 4k great, I don’t have a 4k monitor and statistically most people don’t either. I know it supposed to be future thinking, but especially tech stuff. I have to keep producing because all this is completely irrelevant. Privation. That’s generally how it works. Hopefully, you found some of this helpful.

Oh, this is a viking barbarian who is a 75202 stable fire way driver. It is at 173 to 175, and I love this thing I didn’t. I don’t think I ever threw it back in, but I flicked with it a couple times. It holds any line you put on it. It feels really good, just like the rest of it took a lot of beating abuse, and you know you don’t see nothing on this thing, so Viking guys so even while they got it going up with some good discs, great reviews today, barbarian barbarian.

It’s really really good. This really feels dependable, pretty much the same you’re, getting the same, throw out of every time. You can get some pretty good distance on it for a fairway driver. I would definitely better, no doubt definitely baby. I love this plastic. I love the way all the Viking discs feel, but this one definitely will go my bag. It’s my barbarian from Viking disks. It’s a great, stable driver.

It’s 173, very consistent plastic is awesome. Barbarian um, it’s good disc! I, like it’s very stable boy, it’s very stable. For me, I mean it’s 7-7 speed. It reminds me of an escape from dynamic. That’s the same to me, but great plastic, like we’ve, talked about in other discs, this disc, because maybe one little issue, but it’s a great disc. I love the way it feels even when wet so anyway. Here’s my review of the barbarian from Viking discs.

This is the storm plastic, it’s kind of like a champion style plastic. As you can see it’s transparent there. You can see through it very durable plastic, just like all the other plastics a little bit domi, but not too much it’s a good fairway. It’s got a lot of glad. I was able to get this thing out far some of my distance drivers – and I was really surprised by that. So a lot of glide on it it’s over stable.

I would compare it to maybe something like a VP crave or axiom crave or MVP vote. Just a good oversample fairway driver very versatile, disc, so great disc, from backings get yourself one. How & Where To Find Diversified Investments For Long Term Passive Income & Capital Growth

In this article I talked about the importance of buying and investing in two dimensional assets. If you want to build long-term passive income streams, the reason why I recommend that you buy assets that have capital growth elements or characteristics and income characteristics is because you want your passive income to grow year after year.

You want it to keep up with the cost of living, with inflation or just general increasing in quality of living expenses. And ideally, you want to be earning more passive income than what you spend so that you continuously grow your investment base and continue on earning more money and being even more financially free. Anyway, you guys loved the article and you loved the example that I use, where I compared a term deposit with a diversified share portfolio of industrial stocks and which actually also has a little bit nervous that publishing this, because it was quite a complicated article.

But you guys got your head around it and I was really relieved and really proud of the questions you guys asked and a lot of the questions were about okay. Well great. I we obviously want to build up a share portfolio of industrial shares, but how do we know what stocks to pick? How do we know what industries to look at? How do we know when to buy these stocks? How do we know what to look like? He things look within a company within the reports within the share price, and I want to put all those worries at bay, because people who do this for a little bit being about analyst stockbrokers and professional traders.

Now my blog is designed for everyday people, no matter where you are in the world and from all from levels of experience of financial education. So the good news is you: don’t actually have to do that? If you don’t want to, you, don’t have to pick your own stocks and to be honest for most people. One may simply do not have time to be analyzing different company reports and looking at the share market – and you know talking to people – and you know, rummaging through five different newspapers a day.

There are plenty, as in hundreds of thousands, of different investment options and products available to everyone that they can use to help, build and buy long-term passive income streams that have this two dimensional element of long-term capital, growth opportunities and long-term passive income versus passive income opportunities. Ideally through dividends, and so this is what this article is all about.

So before I launch straight into this, I want to remind you guys: building wealth is not a full-time job. I want you to be every day working or every week working on a little bit of your financial plan, but I want you to be enjoying life. I want you to be spending time with people that you love. I want you to be focusing on building your health and fitness and your you know emotional, mental and spiritual allottee.

I want you to be. You know, spending time progressing on your own career, so building up wealth is not a full-time job. It’s not something you have to completely and utterly like dedicate yourself every single spare minute or hour of the day doing this is something where a slow and steady wins. The race, making wise informed, educated decisions is the way to go. So I’m going to share with you three different investment products that are available to you that match this requirement for long term income and capital growth net assets so option number one is a management, so typically most manage funds are like a retail products.

You buy them directly from a fund manager and their job is to pull everyone’s money together and go out and work out what investments they want in the portfolio, what the goals are of the portfolio. And what is you know, the mix of assets, and it is a great way of build a diversified investment base, particularly with a small amount of money. But again, an ETF is a great way of accessing. You know with one unit a whole range of different shares that you may not be able to get access to, or a gaming client can’t quite hit that level up with the diversification again just like manage funds.

There are so many different types of ETFs, and every day there are more and more ETFs appearing on the market. You can get the fixed interest based ETF. You can get bonds, you can get Australian share based ETF’s. You can get commodity based ETFs. It really is it like a huge smorgasbord of ETFs that have in Australia, building and already established overseas. So there really is a wide portfolio selection for you to choose from so make sure you do your research and then the third option for building a diversified investment portfolio where you can outsource all those complicated or overwhelming stressful investment decisions is a listed investment company.

Growing Passive Income for Wealth: INVESTING in shares/stocks || SugarMamma.TV

Deposit account by 2016 that hundred thousand dollars would still only be worth a hundred thousand dollars, but it actually would have eroded away because that hundred thousand dollars could not buy me.

What it can today is what it could have done in 1979 and I would still be earning a passive income of two thousand five hundred dollars per year. That’s it, however, if I put that 100 thousand dollars into a diversified share portfolio of Australian shares, again just taking that passive income through the dividend, yields and spending it, adding nothing to it and not reinvesting any of my dividends that share portfolio would now be worth One point one: two million dollars and the passive income that I’d be receiving from that one point: one two million dollar share portfolio would be worth over fifty one thousand dollars every year.

Now, I’m pretty sure you would rather be receiving a passive income stream at 51 thousand dollars a year versus two thousand five hundred dollars a year. So you’re probably wondering how is this possible? How is the same amount of money invested in two different asset classes with SIPP, not too dissimilar yields over the long run so incredibly different? Well, it comes down to the fact that shares are two-dimensional assets.

They not only do they produce income, they also produce growth and that income grows with the capital value with shares. When a company raises profits, they reinvest some of those profits back into the business for future, compounding growth and to expand them, prove the value of the business, and then they pay a dividend on that and that dividend grows every year as long as the company grows. Now a lot of people say well, fine can investing in shares is incredibly volatile and comes a lot of risk.

And, yes, you are correct, you do when you invest in shares. There is a lot of high to medium term volatility over the short term medium term. I want to show you this other chart. This will really change your perception of really how safe term deposits are. If we look at the yield on term deposits and compare them against shares and even commercial property, in fact, it’s actually the toh deposits, which are a lot more volatile over that 17 year period, so that perception of term deposits being safe.

And you can sleep well at night versus shares being risky and dangerous isn’t actually quite true. So what this boils down to you? If you’re trying to build up a passive income stream, you’ve really got to look at the underlying assets in your portfolio. You do not want to forego long-term growth for stability. You need to make sure that your passive income and your investment portfolio is sustainable.

Is going to provide you with that passive income. That’s going to grow over time and ensure that you remain financially independent. Do not fall into the trap of just going in investing purely for yield with no capital worth. This will come with a lot of regret, further down the track and if you’re going to build up an investment portfolio where you’re going to incorporate more of these growth style, investments such as international and Australian shares and even some property make sure you diversify.

You do not need to go all or nothing most. People have a diversified share portfolio where they may have some commercial property, some residential property.
