Maybe you post two or three times a day. It’s got to be consistent now the thing is, with consistency also comes this mindset of your mind. That starts playing tricks on you. It starts to tell you that what you’re doing is not it’s not good or it’s. You know go, try something else and you get sidetracked and you start working on different things that aren’t going to really help you succeed. So, if you’re, if you’re creating articles every day for the first three or four months, if you created articles, nobody’s going to read your articles, there’s going to be likely one or two people are going to read your articles.
So you have to come out the next day, knowing that nobody’s going to read your articles, but the great thing about YouTube is that your articles stay inside of YouTube forever. So people could come back and read your articles that you created two years ago. So consistency is going to help you stand out. You know. If you’re not really creating value on certain social media platforms, then you’re, not that’s, not consistency so like liking. People’s posts on Facebook is not being consistent. That’s not creating value, but if you create a post that helps somebody in a certain way, if they’ve they want to learn about marketing and you create a article on how to create marketing and you put it up there, you create value for somebody.
Now people are going to be interested in what it is that you have to offer so consistency every day. So what I want you to do is sit down with yourself and I want you to say: okay, I’m going to do something every day. Anything like that. Every day you have to do it and it has to be done. You have to step up the next day and continue to do it because, eventually, what’s going to happen, is just it’s going to start the snowball it’s going to start to eventually pick up, I used to grow up in Ohio and when we used to make snowman You have to you know you snowman, have the the big big giant you know base, but in order to get that base going, you had to pack really tight snow and then you had to you had to work it right.
You had to work it in the snow and eventually it started to roll and roll and roll and become easier and easier. But at the beginning of packing that little tiny snowball you had to pack it tight and you had to really push into that snowball and then eventually it started to go, and then you have this giant. You know this giant snowball that you’ve all you can do you just you can just like roll it and it’ll just cumulate, bigger and bigger and bigger, but to get it started, you had to really work it.
You had to work at heart. That’s what you’re going to do on a consistent daily basis, alright, so find one thing and just stick with it: just do it every day. If you want to do other things, and you want to you know, you know start one thing and stop with it. Another thing: that’s fine, but just one thing you’re going to do every day you have to be consistent with and you have to you know I used to get over and over and over again show up and you will be successful.

That book will hopefully make you money for years and years and years, even though you are not working on anymore. So the cool thing about passive income is passive income. Your hourly rate goes up every single day, okay, so let’s change it up a bit. Let’s say you make a course like we’ve made our amazon course right.
We make our amazon course and what s is a bit different though, but we make amazon course and then we now sell an online course. So, every day that was saying cause the time it took us to make the cause is becoming more and more valuable. Okay, so if it took us a month to make the course and we’ve made – let’s say a thousand pounds or ten thousand pounds from the course, the more we make the more power we are getting for that initial month of work now the reason the course isn’t, The best example is because we do a lot of work with the course even now, so it’s not really passing because we speak to students.

My strong point, that is why we can take a week off work and go and travel go to the country or do whatever and still make money that week, because we have set the business up specially with Amazon that my Amazon work mainly consists of sending a Message to my supplier, when I need new stock, and that is about it every so often we have to read our ranks and try and get out the rank, trying it try and sort that out or find your product, but that can all be handle.
If you hire someone so also in the process of hiring someone, so when we hire someone who’s going to be able to handle all of that stuff, we will literally be able to take a complete backseat on our Amazon business and then, in my mind, that will Become completely passive because it had the initial set up the initial work, which was hell and then it’s now become passive. So that’s what I try to teach.
That is what I try to instill on everyone that you should try and create businesses. Now that will make you money in the long term, so try and create passive incomes. They won’t be passive straightaway because you’ll have to a ton of work to get them to become passive, but as soon as you’ve done the whole initial setup and you are making constant money from it, you can take a back seat on the whole business, and that Is when it becomes a passive income? That is when you can sit someone? Yes, I’m earning money right now and I’m lying in bed right.
That is when it becomes passive income where you’re not working per hour, but the thing to understand is with passive income. You also, firstly, there’s no guarantee they’re going to make any money, and, secondly, the initial work to create that passive income won’t necessarily make you money, for example, the whole Amazon setup that isn’t making you any money the whole creating the course that isn’t making you any Money so there’s a lot of, I think, willpower and a motivation that is needed to create a business that is passive because you can spend months and months working on a project like a book.
You can spend months and months working on that book, not knowing if it’s going to make you any money or how much money is going to make you so there’s a lot of initial work that doesn’t make you any money on the hopes and dreams that, in The long term, it will make you a lot of money which will then become passive, so passive income is brilliant, but it is a huge risk because you’re, not you, can’t ever be a hundred percent sure how much you’re going to make and if you’re going to Be anything whereas if you have a nine-to-five job, you get paid every single hour, you are working at that job.
Obviously you get holidays and all that sort of stuff, but forget about that. The only difference is who do you want to be? You know, and that’s what you can. Let me know in the comments who do you want to be? Do you want to be the risk-taker that will put in all this crazy amount of work to hopefully have a business that will work for itself or do you want to work and get paid for every hour you work and when you eventually stop working, that is It I mean you might have a pension or you might have stocks and shares or whatever you might have, but realistically that is it.
That is your money that you are now stopping being paid because you’re stopped working. What would you, what do you want to do when you’re 65 70? 80? What do you want to do? So if we’re just just recap what I just said, passive income, I think, is where you have to have a lot of initial set up work that doesn’t actually get you paid.
Anything on the hopes and on the planning, obviously, on the under the long term, you will start to make money without you even having to do anything because of the initial set up. That is what passive income is to me, and I hope that made sense. So just about two years ago, I put out a article titled “, How to be a style, blogger.”, Definitely recommend checking it out if you’re interested in getting Into this kind of thing, So I rereaded it before doing this article and think that the advice two years later still holds up really well Now, in that article, I talk about the need for defining a reason for Wanting to do what you do And one of the many reasons That I list is to make money, so I don’t take any kind of stance on whether that’s good or bad.
In fact, I think I say that no reason is more or less noble than the other. So two years later, though, I’m going to take a little Bit different, look at it come at it from a little Bit different perspective To me the opportunity to make money doing something like this is a benefit. It’s a benefit of all the work we put in. It’s a benefit of all of the Thought that we put into it It’s a benefit that speaks to the fact that over the last seven years, we’ve created something that people have found lasting Value in that has a purpose and something that has Had a measurable impact on peoples’ lives, The coin of the realm in This space is authenticity And you cannot create a Community around something and I’m talking about a dedicated, lasting and genuinely engaged community, if you’re only doing Something to make money, People will see right through that they’ll see you for who you are And it’s a charade.
That’s Honestly impossible to keep up for any length of time, So that’s my take on it as someone who’s being doing. This for quite a while and who’s seen a lot of Things change over time And the people who have Quote unquote: “ survived” and are thriving. Are the ones who really do have something to say have something to offer? And have something of value to contribute to the conversation So little bit of a tangent Little bit of a rant And for me a necessary prelude, To the topic of this article, which is how He Spoke Style, makes money, So He Spoke Style has four Different revenue, streams, brand partnerships, advertising affiliate and the HSS Shop, And what I’m going to do next is walk you through each One and how it works Brand partnerships, So brand partnerships are Where a specific brand or a brand through Their agency reaches out to collaborate to produce content.
It could be for a specific Campaign they have going on, It could be for general awareness. In every case, though, It is a way for a brand to get in front of an Audience that you have built – and that is specific to you Different brands – look For different things and have different KPIs or Key performance indicators based on whatever their goal is So some are looking for reach. Some are looking for impressions.
Some want engagement, Some want conversion Or it could be a combination. Of all of those things, So the amount you can make On a brand partnership depends on a few things. It depends on the budget. The brand has to work with for marketing. It depends largely on the Size of your audience and, to some extent, a demonstrated history of producing impact and Results for brands in the past. So if a brand paid you X amount of dollars to do a project that was Focused on conversion and you didn’t sell a Single unit for them chances are that they’re not going to work with you in the future.
The most important part About partnering with a brand is to make sure that the Partnership makes sense for you and that it makes sense for your brand. So it’s important that you Have a specific point of view and a sense of what it Is that you stand, for, We are very selective at He Spoke Style about the kinds of Brands that we work with, For example, over the last few years, we’ve had long-term Partnerships with some fantastic read brands, including A.
Lange & Söhne, Vacheron, Constantin and Jaeger-LeCoultre. Some read brands, though let’s call them fashion. Read brands have reached out to partner with us and we have always politely Passed on those opportunities because they don’t make sense for us, It’s not something that I would personally use It’s not the level of product I’m comfortable promoting And there’s been a lot of money. We said no to in that space, But it’s more important.
To only work with brands that we truly believe In because, once again, authenticity is the coin of the realm, How on earth could you Take someone seriously that in one sponsored post or article says IWC is the best read brand ever and then in the very next Sponsored post or article says, MVMT or Daniel Wellington or NOVE is the best read brand ever That’s a rhetorical question. My point is that saying no to things may, in the short term, keep You from making a few dollars, but to me you will have much more success if you build something Around a set of values and play a longer game in that sense, Brand partnerships are currently the largest single source of Income for He Spoke Style, which is why I spent so Much time talking about it And also they are the most Creatively, satisfying way that we make money Next advertising, So He Spoke Style – makes money through ads that you see on the website as well as ads that you see here on the YouTube blog, We don’t sell the space on the website directly to advertisers ourselves.
We work with an ad management company that fills that inventory for us And then with YouTube. We just enable the Articles for monetization and Google takes care of the rest. I am not an expert in how Revenue is calculated, Though there is something Called CPM or cost per mille, that is a metric that advertisers use And then with YouTube. I believe it’s a combination, Of number of views, as well as total, read time, So we make a decent amount on ads, not as much as we do.
With brand partnerships, but it’s a really nice source of passive income that we have – And this is one of the Reasons that when I talk about building a business in this Space that I say it’s important to have a variety of options: In your portfolio out there, If you’re putting all of Your eggs in one basket you’re potentially missing Out on a revenue stream that you wouldn’t otherwise have That’s.
Why, although a Website isn’t super sexy to a brand partner. At this point, most brands are interested Mostly in YouTube or Instagram, The fact that we built and Still maintain a website that a lot of people read Opens up this opportunity that we would completely miss Out on, if we didn’t do that, Third way He Spoke Style makes money is through affiliate. Marketing Affiliate marketing is When you promote a product or give a link to a Product and when someone buys that product or clicks on The link and buys a product you get a small commission on that sale.
This can be done directly with a brand. For example, we work with Dapper Woodworks this way we work with Stubbs and Wootton this way, Or there are several services That sort of centralize everything like rewardStyle ShopStyle, so you’re not having to deal with each individual advertiser yourself. This is a smaller revenue. Stream for He Spoke Style, but again like ads. It does create this sort of passive income that continues to build On itself over time, It is more time consuming to Do to put the links together and search for everything, but I view it as a small way.
That I’m able to get a little something back for the Effort that I put into it. Finally, we have the He Spoke Style Shop, So we launched this Just over two years ago – And it was something that we wanted to do – to create a world around What we were doing and to be able to offer our readers fans, followers and viewers direct Access to some of the things that we really loved and That we really believed in E-commerce is a really tough business with the small staff that we have here, It’s been basically impossible to scale up beyond where we have it now, but again it is a nice source of income.
That we have coming in Now there are some really exciting things that are going to be happening. In the shop very soon We are going to be partnering With Michael Andrews to offer an exclusive Made to measure service and other things as well. It’s pretty awesome. It’s been years in the making and we’re very excited for the potential that it presents to us to grow. And to scale our business, So that’s it! Let’s just break down what 10,000 pounds in profit. Actually means how many items do you have to sell every single month? Well, let’s say that you are making 10 pounds profit per item – okay or you know, let’s say let’s say: you’re, making 15 pounds profit per item and you need to make ten thousand pounds. Profit right just divide that by 15 and you’ve got 666 sales every single month. Now, if we do 666 divided by 30, that’s 22 sells a day.
Now, if you have a look at these sales that just popped up on the screen, you’ll happy you’ll, see 22 sales a day is really really easy. As soon as you get going with the business from day, one 22 sales will be high, but as soon as you get into the business 22 sales day is nothing so, which means 666 is very achievable, which means 10,000 a month is very achievable. So, let’s just let’s get into the article, if you, if you have anything to say, leave a comment down below ask any questions.
If you have anything anything, you want to ask and don’t forget, to subscribe and like this article, but let’s get right into it. So first we have to know where to begin well, I’ve got my screen recording here, and I’ve got a few tabs open of all the different things we’re going to be needing, and I just want to quickly say. One thing which is quite important is, you might be thinking. Why don’t I just sell a product, that’s 30 pounds of profit, and then I don’t need as many well one thing to understand.
One thing, the one thing that’s very important is the higher profit. The item is going to be the more expensive it will be for you to source that product, which means the more money you’ll need to actually start this business. So if you’re profit per product is 30 pounds, which is will be amazing, it means you’ll need a lot more money to start up and buy the inventory. So I’m assuming you, don’t wan na spend more than maybe a thousand pounds for inventory just to get started and that’s what I’m basing this information around.
So what do we have to do? First? Well, first, we have to know how to find products and where to look and what the product criteria needs to be. So I’ve opened up this product database. Now this is on the AMC Scout website that product database tool. You don’t need to buy this, I’m not selling the product database tool here, however, I will be talking to you a bit later about the Chrome extension, because that’s actually the tool that we’re going to be using, but the pride database, I’m just showing you just so You can see what like what you need, what the criterias are.
So we’ve got the cat food. What category should be tick? Leave I’ve already checked a whole bunch of categories, and you can probably take health and household as well. You can tick. Okay, so that’s good! So you’ve got health and household Beauty, personal care, home and kitchen kitchen and dining office, products, patty, Loew and pacifiers, and sports and outdoors and then want to go for price. So remember: we wanted between 10 and 15 pounds profit that will enable us to get between 650 to 700 800 sales a month and that’s what we’ll need.
So, let’s say price would be 15 pounds. Okay, the price should be fit between 15 and 35 pounds. The rank has to be a maximum of two thousand, and I’m going to explain what these different elements are. Drooling the article, but the bestseller rank has to be maximum of two thousand otherwise. So, just not enough demand the estimated sales going to leave that going to leave the estimates, reviews sorry, this movie estimated revenue and the reviews we don’t have to be more than 350 reviews and the reason for this is because it just becomes way too competitive.
So the weight has to be about one pound, maybe I’m the 1 pound because we want, we don’t want it to cost a fortune for shipping and we don’t wan na get charged extra in Amazon. Now, that’s all that you really have to worry about in terms of product. You understand not oversized and Stata type. You only want to look at FBA, not people are not Amazon and not fulfilled by merchants. Okay and now what you could do with the participation is click apply and it will show you all different product ideas.
Now, I’m assuming you don’t want to spend money on the product database, so I’m going to show you how to actually come up with ideas yourself. Okay, so what we’re going to do is we’ve got Amazon here and I’m going to show you three different ways to come up with ideas. One of them is my favorite, but, like I didn’t think, I’d ever share this idea out of our course, but, like I said, some of this information is from our course, which is why I’m really really excited to make this article, because hopefully it will allow a Lot more people to get in and to sell it when I was on so next time with ID number one I don’t want is very basic.
It’s just having a look at the best sellers to to get some ideas. Well, obviously, you could look around where you are and just pick up some ideas, so I can see pens microphone pads. Well, I got a camera there, a whole bunch of different random things right. So that’s how you can just start getting a brain in the the frame right in the mindset of looking of thinking up product ideas. So let’s go to bestsellers and then remember the cat food.
You said so, let’s start with, let’s start with sports and outdoors, because that was one of the categories that we could potentially go into and let’s have a look at what we’ve got here, so we’ve got well. These numbers here is the rank. So remember we said under 2000 and I’m going to explain it in more detail soon, but just bear in mind. This has a rank of 2. So that’s brilliant! So we’ve got the stainless steel, water bottles.
That’s an idea, written down! We’ve got! This is all too cheap yoga mats written down, we’ve got more stainless steel, water bottles, bottles seem to be very. Very popular. We’ve got an ab roller, it’s a bit cheap, but we could probably sell a premium one for a bit more. We’ve got wrist support. It’s not bad. We’ve got compression socks. That starts at 8, 95 because up to 30 pounds, so I’ve got a foam roller.
We’ve got goggles 14 to 30 pounds, and it’s very, very good. So what this is showing us. This is just showing us different potential ideas of what we could sell, because if it’s shown up in top 100 is going to be a popular item, we want to sell popular items. However, we don’t want to sell popular items that have too many reviews and we’re going to see how it all like mold together very soon. So that’s one way of coming up with a list of product ideas.
Another way is to go to. We go back to it and Amazon bestsellers we’ve got most wished for now. I love that this most visual, because this is literally telling you what people want right. It’s not telling you what people are buying, but it’s telling what people want. So if we go to sports now to outdoor so most wish for we’ve got outdoor gloves, we’ve got the AB rollers we’ve got, we looks like a bench.
Bear that’s going to be too big. We’ve got the water bottle. We’ve got a lot of a lot of smartreades. We’ve got this thermal fleece. We have we’ve got tons of cool things right now. This is just one category. Once we go through all those different categories that we spoke about here, we’ve got home and kitchen kitchen dining read me: go through all of those categories we should be. We should have quite a large list, maybe 30 to 50 items.
Now, yes, as soon as we start looking into those items in the way that I’m going to show you and they’re going to obviously start looking like they’re a bit rubbish and we’ll start whittling. That list out, which is fine, that’s very normal, but I did say I will show you three ways so the third way – and this is going to sound, really stupid, but the third way is literally typing in by a letter at a time on your keyboard.
So you can type in like F and then you can start seeing what comes up and the things that come up in the search over here are obviously going to be the most popular items because they are the most searched for so you’ve got a foam roller. Okay, first aid kit before has that that sounds cool. Let’s put an R in there and we’ve got fridge thermometer, friendship, here’s fridge, magnets, FriXion pens, fruit, bowls frying pans.
Let’s just change up a bit: let’s go L, there’s a lot of interesting stuff, but we’ve got L, let’s put an R after that, mmm r doesn’t come off the L. What am I thinking? Let’s put an a after that we’ve got lavender essential oil laptop bag. That could be a potential laundry basket. Laptop Stan laminator lanyard lava lamp laundry bags. So in my mind this is the best way to look for products as duty.
We’ve got 12 roll. Let’s do TR, you know as a good one travel, pillow travel, mug tripod. There’s a lot of travel stuff, so in my mind, this is one of the best ways to look for products just because they’re so random, and that is what sells on Amazon the most random things. Whenever I tell anyone what our product is that they literally say to me how the hell did you come up with that idea that it’s the most rounded thing ever and I let you just said it’s, because I did the research and it doesn’t matter how random A product is if it shows potential that it can sell.
Then it doesn’t matter if you’re selling – I don’t know a lipstick holder, a wallet. I don’t know the the tips of the the pencil it’s just most does matter. It can be random, so it literally can be as random as you want now just to quickly show you if you do want to find the best sellers by just searching. You can do a minus sign and have a whole bunch of random letters. I then click enter and this will bring up all the best sellers.
Okay, when my internet loads, that is, I don’t, have the best internet. I probably should write so you can see it shows all the bestseller to bestseller bestseller bestseller. Now again, you know the reason selling any of these Amazon stuff, but the reason why this is so cool is because not only can you choose the departments you want to see the best sellers in you can choose the reviews and you can choose well, you used To be able to choose the price and then when correctly, but they don’t seem to do that anymore.
So no, you can’t choose to price anymore unless I’m missing something. So that is one quick way of just looking at what all the bestsellers are, which I kind of like. However, let’s go back to the idea of just random letters. Okay, so let’s do TX! I like travel pillow. Now, once you once, you’ve got your whole list of 50 products, you have to start whittling them down, and this is where we’re going to use the Ames.
You Scout Chrome, extension, okay, and that’s this little tab over here and when you click that this thing pops up and it gives you all of this information, it shows you the overall score. The profit demand competition, let’s exit out of that you’ve got all of this information now. This is probably looking really really confusing to you, especially if you’ve never sold on Amazon. Before, however, I’m going to explain to you the only important things you need to get yourself glowing and then we are going to whittle this product down, see if it’s very serious any good, we might even go and look at it on some websites, the sorts try And source it, but we’re probably not because this is just about finding products that can make you ten thousand a month.
Okay. So let’s just wait for this to load and once it’s finished loading I will go into it with into detail with you. It’s not a lot of information, as you can see, there’s probably why it takes mmm a minute or two to load, because it’s just loading so much information. Okay, so these are all the different. This is all the information you could possibly need, and now the reason we use a tool is because, without using a tool, what we’d have to do is about X out of this, what we’d have to do it we’d have to open each individual products on a New tab open link in new tab, open link in new tab and do that over and over again scroll wait for it to load.
Obviously, each time now you might have better internet than me, but what you’d have to do? Is you have to scroll down? You’d? Have to look at the BSR, so we can see the BS ours of it is over here 867 and we would look at the whole listing and it will just it just really really time-consuming. However, when we click the mg, scalp Chrome extension, it gives us all the information of all the products in one in one group like it’s just so much easy to look at so now.
What are we? What are we looking for here? Well, we are looking for some some of these products to tick the right boxes. Now we tend to look at the top 20 product, so here we can see. The results here are 32 results. Okay, we want at least 10 of those product to fit in our criteria and about 20 of them to not necessarily fit in the criteria, but to have an element of the criteria and remember what I said: the criteria was: the criteria was a sales price of 15 to 35 pounds the BSR to be under 2,000 and the reviews to be under 350.
Okay, that’s our main criteria. Now we could go deeper and look at estimated revenue and and and the average rating of the reviews, because if it’s all low rating, you could probably get in there with a higher rating and beat out your competition. Also, you can look at the seller so FBA, or is it Amazon? If there’s too many Amazon’s, then avoid it? This one you can see, there’s only. I can only see three Amazon’s and everyone else is FBA, which is brilliant.
That’s exactly what we want. Okay, so remember rank price and number of reviews. Now we can also go a bit deeper. Once we’ve whittled down all the products to those to those criterias, we can go even deeper and look at the FBA fees. We can like this tool, shows you everything right. So we click on this. We can see their exact FBA fee. You can see how much they’re paying for monthly storage. How much they’re picking pack fears how much there are fears.
It really shows you everything. It shows you their net margin, which is 52 %. Now you have to put that product cost in so let’s say the product cost one pound. Fifty ten net margin goes down to 30 % because they’re only telling it for 695. However, if they sold it for 1495, like we would, their net margin goes up to 59 %. Okay and their estimated monthly profit is nine thousand two hundred and forty-eight.
That is just under what we’re looking for with ten thousand okay. So let’s have a look at this tool and see now I’ve loaded a lot of a lot of products – I’m loaded 55 here which is wide still loading because I click the next 20. But let’s have a look so you’ve got the number one. Pillow has a rank of 56. Then you’ve got this amazonbasics one of ridiculous rank. That’s an anomaly! I would ignore that you’ve got a rank of 8.
6. 7. 3. 5. 3. 3. 3. 661. 844. Basically, you’ve got a cell at 1, 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 17. Products. I can just see just from this first view that have a PSR of under 2000. That is insane that shows a ridiculous demand and of those 17 you’ve got a whole handful of them under 500. So that shows a ridiculous ridiculous amount of demand and if there’s a demand for product, then you need to provide more product to them so that you can get sales right, supply and demand.
It’s just that’s basic business right right there. So the next thing we want to look at is the price, so we’ve got a whole variety of prices. We’ve got twenty five, sixteen twelve twenty, seventeen fifteen fifteen thirty! Sixteen sixteen! So the price here is also spot-on. This is excellent in terms of price. The only thing that this concerns me is, it might wave over a pound, but because it’s a pillow and it can’t be folded up and then blown up because usually they’re blown up.
I don’t see why I should win more than a panic and probably pack into a very, very small container as well to save you money on shipping, so the rank has tick box. The price ticks the box as well. Now, the next thing we have to look at that the number of reviews so remember what we said. We want about 10 to 20 that have under 350 reviews. However, you have to remember this is not an exact science.
This is adaptable if some products have high reviews and some have low BSR and there’s not if it doesn’t take the which is completely across the board, look into it a bit deeper right and see. Okay, there’s the reviews are a bit higher than I want, but the the demand is so so good that it makes up for the high number of reviews. So that’s really what you can do. So, let’s just let’s just take a look at these reviews.
We’ve got um well, the first one has one thousand two hundred and ten, so they’re, pretty solid, being the number one spot. But again we don’t have to be the number one spot. We can be the number two spot and I mean look at the third person. They have 42 reviews which is so easy to get, and they are the number three spot. That’s insane, then you’ve got 247 reviews. Yes, that’s got nearly four and a half thousand you’ve got 123 three, two five, four, twelve, twenty nine.
Ninety five. So this was full and it’s on the first page, 45 zero. So in my mind, yes, there are quite a few like this has 1210 4300 for 112, seven, oh seven, five, nine! Six! There is definitely a few that have over 350, however, the large majority of them have under 350, which which is really really good. So I wouldn’t say: that’s like a full tick box. I’ll say: that’s like half a tick box because mmm it’s it will be, the competition is there, but because there’s so much demand it.
It looks doable. Okay and now, please just remember I mean you, don’t have to believe me here, but I’ve literally. This is all on the spot here, like I didn’t, do any pre looking at products to see if I can find a good product cuz, that’s a bit fake, this literally the first product I’m looking up – and this is what I’m getting if this doesn’t prove that There is still room for you to sell on Amazon, then I don’t know what else there is because, like I said you don’t have to believe me, that’s completely fine, but this is legit legit, the on the spot, research right here and I’m already finding a ridiculously Good product, so I’m not even short going to post this article live because I might want to do this product.
No, no, I’m going to do it. Cuz! It’s really cool! It’s really cool that. I found this okay, so let’s get back into it, so you’ve got so. The reviews seem pretty good as well. Now I know that their summer views are quite high. However, if we go to the actual individual ratings of the reviews – and this is going into it – a bit deeper here now – because we really are going to go lightly deeper, because this doesn’t like a good product.
But we still have to try and see where it could go wrong, because when we sell on Amazon we really really want to make sure it’s a just. It’s going to be up when we want to it like ensure it’s going to be a winner. So the only thing concerning me in the reviews at the moment, however, if we look at the rating at four point, one four, four point: four four point: four four point: four four point: five there’s not very many five-star products out there right.
You’ve got four point, seven and four point seven. I think it’s four point. Seven: six to average out five stars. You’ve got a four point: seven again that that’s one five star here, but there’s not very many five star products, which means that’s room for you, two to get into the market with a high quality item and just keep reviews up, get good reviews. Now we could, we could look at the estimated revenue, but I hate doing this because I don’t think any company can get the estimated revenue now saying that I’ve used a variety of different tools.
I’m not going to name names. I don’t like shaming, but I’ve used a variety of tools and what I tend to do is I tend to look at our revenue search for the power product and look at what they claim our revenue to be, because, obviously I know exactly what our revenue is Going to be so, I can see how close they are and based on all the different tools I’ve used. I found that AMD Scout and helium 10 are the two closest ones: MZ scouts just a tad just I I think MZ Scout get it a slightly bit more and I know you’re, probably saying yeah but you’re selling a new Scout as an affiliate, but I’m selling All of them as an affiliate jungle Scout helium, 10 energy Scouts, it’s just another source of income.
So whatever I promote anything or whenever I talk about anything, I’m going to be an affiliate like. If I’m talking about my credit card – and I have a link in the description, it all most likely be an affiliate link, that’s just what everyone on YouTube does right, disclaimer, all that so, but in I personally think that the MZ scout does get it very. Very very close to where you are actually making, but so, if we wanted to, we could look at the estimated revenue this guy says, making fifty thousand eight thousand seven thousand.
Twenty-One thousand eight thousand thirteen thousand seventy night. We could look at that, but I wouldn’t focus on that, like I said, focus on the rank, the price, the reviews and if you worked a little bit deeper, the actual ratings of the reviews. Now I was going to look at more price after this, but I’ve seen found a ridiculously good product, so I am pretty pretty content with that. I’m going to show you two more things to determine whether or not the product could be.
It is room for you in the market. Okay, now again, I wasn’t planning on showing you these two things until about ten seconds ago, but I’m going to show them to you anyway. So what we can do is we can open up three or four. Maybe five of the products and we can go through them and we can look at their listings and see how good their listings have been made. Okay, if all the listings are made incredibly well, it’s going to be harder for us to be unique and compete right.
If everyone is selling the like, it’s just that’s just common sense. If everyone has amazing copy and amazing images, what are we going to do to stand out? We can’t stand out with amazing copying amazing images, because everyone already has that, so you have to think of something else now, if we have a look at some of these products. Yes, these images are brilliant and that’s actually a really cool pillow, but yeah.
So images, a great title is poor. Really poor bullets are really really poor. Description is non-existent. I can’t even find the description. Oh no! No I’m sorry! This is a description. Okay, it’s actually quite good. You can only get this kind of description if you feel like a special partner with Amazon, but won’t worry about that now. It’s not important, but let’s look at another one, great images as well, but quite sure that thing is really looks.
Uncomfortable push the button to inflate. Oh okay, cool right: it’s got a pretty good title. Lots of keywords here: mm bullets are basic they’re, a bit rubbish. To be honest, the description is so you’ve got this from the manufacturer, but the actual description, it’s okay. I’ve got some balls here, got some benefits, it’s okay, it could be better. So that’s another thing we would look at is actually the individual product.
Now the final thing we’d look at, and I mean because I thought I showed you. These are all the pages. I was going to have open to show you, but this is completely new. I just decided to do this. We’re going to look at the Google Keyword planner, because one thing people don’t do, is they don’t really? They don’t really focus on many keywords. They will focus on one keyword and try and get to number one for that now.
The way you are going to stand out is you are going to focus on 50 keywords. Yes, you heard that right, 50 keywords. Let’s just here, we go you’re going to focus on 50 50, 50, 50 you’re going to focus on 50 keywords and the reason you’re going to do. This is because, if you’re getting 20 cells from one keyword like people who focus on one keyword will be getting. You focus on 50 keywords, even though the keywords are longtail.
So when I say longtail I mean the main keyword will be travel pillow, but a longtail keyword will be gray, travel, pillow or soft travel, pillow or travel pillow for airlines, a travel pillow for trains. These are just things I’ve made up in my head, but they’ll get a lot fewer searches. However, all of them combined will give you those extra sales which will boost your main keywords up and allowing you to hit our goal of 600 to 800 sales a month, which is what we want to get to 10,000, because that is game it to get to 10,000 profit every single month, so what we would do is we click finding new keywords: we’d enter the main one which is travel, pillow and we’d get started now.
This will also allow us to see some demand. Okay, so not only does it give us more examples. Neck pillow travel, neck, pillow, best travel, pillow, air pay, pillow is giving us so many different keyword, ideas. Okay, so that’s just one benefit of using the Google Keyword tool which, by the way, is totally free, and it’s also telling us how good those keywords are. So travel pillow gets ten to a hundred thousand searches a month.
That is oh, my gosh. That’s amazing. That is so so good right then you’ve got these are one to ten thousand one hundred to one thousand, not so good, but again all of those added up it becomes. It becomes very. Very good. You’ve got a lot of one thousand to ten thousand okay. You can also sort by average monthly searches if you’ve got ten thousand to a hundred thousand memory. Foam pillow. Ten thousand two hundred thousand as well and you’ve got 1,000 10,000 a few of those and then a lot of a hundred to one thousands.
You could go for a hundred keywords if you want don’t have to go to fifty, and but that is the final way which I’m going to tell you about in terms of looking for a product. Now there are lots more ways. I’ve spoken about five of the criterias in our course we go over thirteen criterias because, like I said, we do not, under any circumstances want to go into a product if it is not going to be a winner, we’ve had failed products, which is why we come Out with this this, this way of researching this way of having all these different criterias, because when we, when we bring a product to market, we need to know it’s going to succeed.
That’s just the way we like to work. So in our course we’ll have all of those criterias, but again I’m not going to worry about that now. This is just this is just product research. So, let’s, let’s move on during the during this whole article, I’ve used something called the AMG Scout Chrome extension, which I told you about which shows up over here. Now. That’s your online real estate and it’s how people find you online. That’s like godaddy.Com, Or coffeeandkickflips.Com It’s how people get to you. It’s like street address right And after that you need hosting essentially think of that, as like online storage for your website, and then you need something.
To build the website Now many people aren’t web designers and they don’t want to Spend a lot of their time building a website, so there Are tons of tools out there that just help you build websites or there’s WordPress if you’re a little bit more Technically inclined, but Not me, You don’t have to go overboard. Just have a homepage Have a little bit about what you do. Maybe the services you provide Or if you’re online shop like if you’re on a Farmer’s Market – and you really wan na, bring that to life and sell your products online, then you can have a little online shop.
That’s pretty easy to Use and a contact page Yeah, so speaking of Farmer’s Market, let’s say I’m out there. You know selling some plant-based soap, Okay Or hot sauces, or both I’m in (, Emma laughs ). So once I get a domain That makes a ton of sense’cause we’re going from offline to online Then what’s next. Well, probably the next step is social and that’s kinda, where you’re the expert. Now you want to be on Your favorite platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, You also wan na – be on Business directory sites, like Yelp Google pages, Oh absolutely And claim your your listings.
Yes, Don’t let it just be open to the masses. That’s your baby right! It’s your business! Make sure you control it. Okay, so once you’re On the social media, I know that’s a big step, but it’s not where the majority Of your time is going to go, The majority of your time goes into actually creating content, so you connect with your customers right [, Justin ] Right. So can you elaborate on that The importance of engagement and connecting with potential customers Right so we’ll take the Kinda, the Farmer’s Market example that you have there.
So if I’m, what were you selling Hot sauce and what Plant-based soaps, of course Great combination. So if I — You use them after You use the hot sauce (, both laugh ), If I’m selling hot sauce and Soap at the Farmer’s Market, — Yeah – I wan na – take it online and I really wan na take it. Into social media presence, What I don’t wan na do is just Start listing off my products and saying “: Hey this Is all the cool stuff “ you can buy from me.
”? What I wan na do is basically Start opening people up to my world, the hot sauce And all natural soaps there Interesting world ( laughs ), So you do that by basically Showing what you do Like the Instagram Stories is A great way to do that, Just pop up cool I’m making a soap or I’m makin’, a hot sauce Ooh behind the scenes, Try not to get those mixed,’cause! You don’t wan na like be scrubbing with the hot sauce soap, But open up your world Talk about what you do as a Business and be relatable People buy from people, They don’t buy from companies right, [, Emma ] Yeah, And if you start to really open up who you are as a business.
Owner your day-to-day the struggles you go through, maybe just some of the cool stuff you do beyond your business itself. It really helps people connect with you and then they’re more Apt to buy it from you tell their friends about you And get a hashtag, Yes About your soap or the hot sauce. Well, my soap and my hot sauce brand # Hotsoap So that way, yeah ( laughs ). So that way, when customers Are using my products, they can use the hashtag and then –.
Yes, I can re-share that Or reTweet it right Right, over and over — And over And over And that’s helping you Create just more content, That’s called user-generated content And I know you’re an expert at this. It’s making people create posts and having your hashtag in there, and that gives you more content to post Yeah. I’m curious email Does that matter: Email marketing, Still a big thing! Should businesses do that if They’re trying to go online with their home-based business, Yes, email is super underrated and a lot of people think Of email marketing as spam, And it shouldn’t be spam, It is spam if go the same.
Approach of like saying, hey, here’s all my products, Buy buy buy, buy, buy, But you wan na really Engage the conversation Bye, bye, bye, (, Justin, laughs, ), Engage that conversation And help your people out, If you maybe say you’re Doin’, the hot sauce and all natural soap – maybe you send out recipes Of your all natural soap, Maybe try this at home with Your family or your kids Try to get different ideas and be creative about The content you give out and even if people don’t Open your actual message: that’s okay! They still see your brand each and every time they go in their inbox and that’s brand recognition Stay top of mind And it’s saying top of mind Yeah.
So with your website a great think to do to start collecting those emails. You can’t just say: hey: Sign-Up for my newsletter, Nobody cares about a newsletter. You create a lead. Generator and what that is, is just something free, That you can give them in exchange for their email address. So if I’m a hot sauce and all Natural soap, maybe I’d, say, cool sign up, enter your email. I’ll, send you 20 % discount Or enter email.
You’ll get five Recipes to do this yourself, Things like that Cool And it’s kind of an Even exchange and then because then you build that List build that list, — You’re, giving me some really good ideas. I check my email when I wake up. I check it throughout the day. I check it in the evening, So it’s — It’s with me forever Yeah. Who is helping with your digital business footprint?
That’s going to help you when you’re uploading, your articles and when you’re searching for those tags that are going to help you have more visibility with your article. It’s going to help your article be found, and those are it’s called search. Engine optimization and I have a tool that will help you as you’re uploading. It’s not something you have to do off on the side and then bring it over and the name of the tool is to buddy and to buddy.
Does oh gosh so much. I started out using it with the free version and I just wanted to see what it would do and I have gradually. You know it’s a learning curve. I’ve gradually used more and more of the features, and this is a simple feature that I’m going to show you today that every beginner needs. Now again, I’m not going to go through the entire ute buddy platform and show you every single thing it does because it gets overwhelming and then my the article ends up being an hour long.
Then you can’t even remember what you readed so we’re just going to concentrate on tags today. Now I don’t usually do this, but I’m going to bring you to the pricing list and there’s a reason that I’m doing this because a lot of times, especially when you’re new. Well, let’s say this: I did this when I was new, I would always buy like the mid account like they have the lowest account than the mid and high.
I always went for the mint think you know I might as well get it now and use everything that it does well what I found. I was buying all these tools to help me and yes, they probably were all wonderful, fantastic tools, but you only have so much time in a day and so much time and to learn. So what I always recommend is always start with a free version and then go to that lower the lowest tool, and this one does have a free version.
So let’s just scroll down – and I want you to pay attention to the first item – row – is free. Then it’s pro, but right here you will notice on the free account you’re going to very very limited the keyword, searches, tags and things like that. It comes down here even more. It’s a very limited area here it is tag list, suggested tags. That’s where we’re going over today, it’s a very limited on the pro account I the free account.
I have the pro account. I have not moved up to star, I’m still learning all the features and the more I learned them like. I said the more I’m really sold on to buddy: let’s go in and look at what it does. Okay, when you click the link below and you go to to buddy, it will take give you the option of starting with a free link or whatever you want to do. But you’re going to be put up uploading, a Chrome extension, and I want you to look up here where these three dots are and you go down here where it says more tools and then go under extensions.
That’s how you can find all the extensions that you have you can see up here along the top right under your toolbar. You can see all the extensions and sometimes it just really gets loaded, so you can go in and even turn them off see this one. Here I have a Facebook pixel helper. I just turned it off for now, because different things that I’m not using a font face ninja. This is well actually well.
You don’t need to know what it does, but anyway, we’re not talking about all that stuff, but I have it turned off. So when I go to use it, I pull it up to buddy. I use all the time and I have it turned on so I just wanted to show you because one time by accident, I don’t know how it happened. I think when I rebooted my computer to Buddy disappeared and I was like whoa what happened and of course, I’m contacting the company know that and then somebody told me we’ll check your extension fire file.
So that’s where they’re at they’re all right there, and if you have extensions you, you know, decide you’re not using anymore. Like I have the sketchpad I haven’t used in a while. I can look at it again. Do I want it and then remove it? If I don’t um a little bit of tip there all right, so let’s look at I uploaded my article and the article. I just sat there and ran it for three minutes. It’s not really a article, but I named it how to make money online and the reason I did that because that’s going to pick up some good suggested tags now.
The first thing I do is I go into my description. What I have there is already saved into YouTube, and I have a article on that. How to save all those defaults is what it’s called, and I always scroll that down and then I add stuff that had pertains to this article. So the first thing I do is put the name of the article how to make money on line, and then I go from there. If I have any links or anything like that, then I add them.
Okay, now, here right below it, it says tags, that’s the first tag that I want how to make money on line and then you just hit enter and there’s your tag now. This is where the magic happens. Okay, you scroll down and it has suggested tags notice. They have numbers next to those are relevancy numbers, the higher that number the better. That means that’s something that’s getting searched: make money from home working; look at it, lots of them nines and tens.
It’s there’s a lot, a lot of people search for making money online. Now I can do this, I can say: oh this one is the number 10. Where did it go? Make money from home I’m going to hit the plus button, it’ll put a little check and then typically, oh well, that didn’t? Okay, let me do another one! There! Oh, it’s going to make a liar out of me. Usually you’ll hit those and it keeps on bouncing up to the top okay, so they’re going to see what it just did it.
I hit it and it bounced up to the top and you’re going to come down and it’s a big pain in the ass. To be honest, so what you do instead is go right here, where it says, tag, tools and select suggested and all those tools are going to fill in and then I can just go down and and click them all at once. Okay, I hit the suggested tags and, for some reason it is not loading, but I don’t want to stop because just hit the suggested tags, and this is what it looks like when it pops up.
I found article here but see here. It has your topic of those suggested tags and we’ll go back to those. You have a list and then it’ll have the relevancy score and usually they’re in order, and then you can go in and click the ones you want. You you’re not always going to use every tag, that’s in there. Sometimes it might not have anything to do with what you’re doing and then over on this side the right side.
It’s going to have tags that you have in your blog and see if they’re relevant and it’s going to start giving you a score of hey. This tags been searched a lot and I got nothing over here at first when I was new, there was nothing. You know you can’t have any analytics unless you have some content, but it’s really exciting. When you start building up that content, you start seeing that hey. These are different tags that have been chosen, and then you can start being a little bit more strategic in what kind of articles that you make.
But in the beginning I really recommend just making how-to articles no matter what area, no matter, what niche that you’re in it could be. You know, weight loss. It could be. You know, animal care, you know if you have dogs or something if you’re into art. You know just do some how-to articles and then you’ll start building from there and you’ll just get tons of ideas all right. So let’s go back, it’s still spinning, so we’re just going to stop it there and what I hid was this suggested tab.
Now I’m going to go in and just go ahead and hit more of these see. Normally it doesn’t it might. Something must be going on because normally, when you hit these, it keeps on flying up and you have to keep coming back up and down so something you know. That’s like you know there goes it just flew up there. Alright was something I wanted to show you and you could sit here and hit the word sort. This is tag tools.
All of this is here because of two buddy. If you don’t have two buddy, you don’t have access to any of this, but go to where it says, sort and all of your tags pop up – and this is really cool look. I accidentally did a duplicate. I have a duplicate, so it says: remove duplicate and you just hit it like that. So sometimes don’t sit and stress out, you know, did I really use that? Is it going to be the same? Just hit the sort tag now, here’s another thing.
Let’s say that you started putting information in for the tags and you went crap. I forgot to put the heading. You don’t have to do that. I have readed other people, you know Rockstar article youtubers, and that was something they suggest it. You put it in the title, you put the same exact words in the description and the first tag. That’s three times, they’re all exactly the same. Now, let’s say I didn’t put it there.
I can move them here, see that it says how to make money on YouTube. Now I think mine said how to make money online. So that’s not even the right one. How to make money online is actually what my tag was and then I can move them around. I can get rid of the duplicates and then I can save it so doing the tags is really easy. Now look right here where it says 243 out of 500. I only get 500 characters, so you might want to use some of the ones that YouTube has suggested.
There are other ways to get tags. Sometimes people will look at other people’s articles, they might search something get the number-one-ranked article and then with well. Let’s try that let’s go look it up. Let me show you. This is something else that two buddy will do just a month now. What I did is, I just went to Google and I typed in how to make money online. That’s my keyword right. My longtail keyword and three hundred ninety three million people are looking this up, probably monthly, okay.
So it’s a very strongly searched tag. Now I can pick one of these first, second or third ranked article. Sometimes I like to pick the newest one, these two number one and three are from 2018, but this one’s a little bit more current make money online. This one says with YouTube ten legit ways to make money online. Let’s do that one, because that’s kind of what I’m talking about so I’m going to pull up.
It should be a article if it’s not yes, it is that’s like sometimes you’ll hit that link and it’ll be a blog and we don’t want a blog. We want a article, so I’m going to pause that real, quick now this is what two buddy has given me all of this information. This person – I don’t even know their name – I don’t even know it so it says practical wisdom is the name of the company and over here to the right.
I see that they have six million views, they have their average duration. As to the duration of this article is ten minutes and see, I get all this analytical information because of to buddy now we’re talking about tags today. So let’s focus on that right. Here are all the tags that this person used on the article now I can hit the a little link and copy them all, but I don’t recommend doing that because you don’t want yours to be exactly the same.
What I typically will do is I’ll go use. Some of the ones from two buddy and then I’ll come in here and look at the highest-ranked ones like here: passive incomes ideas. If you weren’t, sharing passive income ideas, you might not want to pick that one, but I’m working on line 21, this one’s 19. How to make passive income how to make money on the internet, so you can go in and pick some of the higher ones and add it to yours.
Sometimes I will even pick a person that I know is really big in that industry. So, for instance, if I was doing clickfunnels, I might add Russell Brunson’s name, because I know he’s really big or I might pick a couple influencers that I know of that are really big with clickfunnels. Maybe not use Russell’s name because everybody’s doing that. So I might go in and pick a couple of the influencers that I know are really big with clickfunnels and I’ll put their names there.
So I have like names for different things and that helps you as well. So you want to be a little bit strategic, but again for the sake of today’s article, I wanted to show you how easy to buddy makes it for you to find tags. You can do it here, use the suggested tags or go google, your title and then pick a article and pick tags, and you don’t have to pick one article. You could pick two or three and then just start listing them somewhere and then using them.
So hopefully that was helpful. So ideally you’re going to want to have at least twenty five or twenty thousand followers to try and get verified now. Yes, many people do not have that up with consistent content and stuff I’m going to touch on in a future article I’ll show you how to build out that viral content strategy to actually work your way to a larger following on Instagram, okay. So beyond having that significant amount of followers on Instagram, that’s not the only thing that necessarily cuts it you’re going to want to have a strong presence on other platforms outside of Instagram.
Now this could be YouTube. This could be twitch. This could be Facebook, whatever it may be. You’re also going to want to have these linked in your description and a little bit of a blurb about what you do inside of your bio, so that linking your description is very, very valuable when it comes to reassuring Instagram that you’re someone that deserves to be Verified on their platform, okay, in addition to that, something that can also help you and be in you know your corner to help you get that verification is publication or press coverage if you’re featured and on a specific website or a magazine, anything of the sort.
Your brand, being featured inside of a publication of some sort, is going to help you go ahead and get on Instagram side to go ahead and give you that blue tick. So with that, the bigger brand presence that you have overall, the easier is going to be to get verified as simple as that, the more you have in your corner, the better chances you’re going to get verified, and these are just a few general qualifications.
Another thing Instagram is typically going to look for is existing spoof or impersonating accounts of you or your brand that are already out there on the platform. So if there are people trying to take your username with maybe a period or an underscore in there and they’re trying to come off as your brand or your personal self, then instagrams going to be looking for that as well. Something that could work to your advantage is, if you actually have a copyright or trademark for your own business.
So, if someone’s trying to impersonate your business, for example, providing that and filling out this form that I’m going to show you guys on my screen right now is reporting to Instagram and having something on file that is also working or you such as you know, proof Of a trademark or proof of a copyright or concept that someone may have taken from you, so the intellectual property Instagram is not the best.
With these response rates, it is a free platform and it is not easy to go ahead and get a hold of them or going to Instagram representative. That’s going to really dive in there and do the hard work for you to make sure you’re in the right position. But having those other qualifications that we talked before such a significant amount of followers, strong presence on other platforms and even featured in publications or press coverage is going to work to your advantage.
So that’s something that you definitely want to have and if you don’t have it already start hustling and try your best to get out there as much as possible. So with that being said, entering your complaint or filing a report to Instagram is something that can also help you in either retaining a loss. Username, that’s someone maybe hacked you someones, trying to impersonate you and also something on file that will help you move in the right direction of getting verified, because it’s clear that people are trying to impersonate you or your brand or your business.
