3 Critical Metrics to Follow With Google Analytics

With the analytics In a week, I check our analytics On our site all the time, but I feel like I’m just sort of Poking around and sometimes I ’ ll – find a nugget Or things like that, but I do feel intimidated. Because it’s such a you know versus something: Like a Facebook, where you’re just guided Through creating an ad In analytics, it’s like you’re in A fighter cockpit in a way right, There’s a lot more stuff.

Going on there, So I think what people Are really interested in are sort of systems That you know “ Here’s how you do A 10-point check on your analytics.” or something like that. Can you talk a little bit? About your framework, when it comes to actually Setting up analytics and what are Some of the key metrics that people need to be focusing on If there are any Yeah sure So, first of all, what we got to do, Is make sure that Google Analytics is tracking correctly When we do install the code? We do some initial testing, we go ahead.

We visit from mobile phones from the desktop To see, does it get the country? Does it get the divide? Does it get all that kind of stuff After we enable The eCommerce tracking, which is not enabled – and I don’t really know why But you have to do that manually. There are a few things: Really really simple things that no one has to be Really intimidated by these First of all, Conversion Rate, Super important We have to know How many people, out of a hundred and because some of the people? That might read the interview, are not really tech savvy or don’t really know.

What a Conversion Rate is Conversion rate is what the amount The percentage of the people that they get to convert, What does convert mean They get to do a sale, They get to buy something From our websites and we’re talking, About the eCommerce, So is it 1 % Like 1 out of 100 people, Two out of 100, One of the simple things that you can do, If you have 1 % Conversion Rate, which is an okay Conversion Rate, It’s sort of like the industry baseline In a way right, -It’s an industry baseline, let’s say -Yeah, I know those sort of things You get.

One person Out of a hundred people, but you paid for those A hundred people to come into your store and you get 1 % Conversion Rate. What, if you look At your numbers – and you figured your website – In that way, you get a 2 %, I won’t go into 5 % or 10 % Literally with just that move the amount of money That you are getting into your revenue simply by one thing, So Conversion Rate Is super important? The other super important thing is Average Order Value or AOV So AOV.

Why? Because, if I get an average On a customer, let’s say he buys something: Which is $ 20 every customer, and even if I can give That $ 25 or $ 30 literally, I don’t have to change anything else. In my whole other strategy, I’m spending the exact same money, but I’m getting more From every customer Conversion rate, Super important Average Order Value Super important, Then there are more technical stuff that they don’t have to be.

Super intimidating, so one of them Is Bounce Rate I will stick To those three, obviously, there are way more But I don’t want to over complicate it So Conversion Rate Average Order Value and Bound Rate. So what is Bounce Rate How quickly people bounce They get off your website? As soon as they see it, The Bounce Rate is measured. By a percentage, The biggest the percentage The worse, our stores are performing An average in the industry.

Let’s say it’s 65 % to 70 %, but still it means that 70 % of the people Were just paid with Facebook Ads with Google Ads Or whatever that is, They just came to our website. And they didn’t even spend more than one second In our store, So even if you get an average Of let’s say, of 80 %, which means 80 % of Google Didn’t even see your landing page, You get it down to 75 % Even 70 % even lower, it means that you start making More more and more money for every visitor and potential customer That visits your store, It doesn’t really have to be intimidating.

If you translate everything to money. Then it becomes way easier Way: sexier And those three metrics are the key ones. That people need to be looking at. I think that’s a really valid point. I don’t know that You’re the biggest Marvel movie fan. But if you have to be an Avenger Which one might you choose? Probably I would be Doctor Strange, I like to think of myself, like The geek I am, and the nerd I am When people go out, And have fun and they party I go work.

Or read webinars or look at things: I could change in the store, somehow we can make More things, I think, I’m living Like Doctor Strange People call me The Mr. Google Analytics -Doctor Analytics -Doctor Analytics Doctor analytics, So that’s one of the things That I really really enjoy because I said Google Analytics Is not sexy but making money is, and I like making money 100 %. How Double Opt-In Emails Help Your Business

Email marketing is so Important for your business, but in order for email marketing to work, you have to get people to sign up or opt-in for your list. We actually just did a article about that which you can check out right. Here, if you’re interested – but there are two types of opt-in ways – that a customer can join your list – Single opt-in and double opt-in, so we’re going to break those down So first off a single opt-in, Is where a customer only has to sign up once So you Can have your opt-in form on your website? All they have to put in is Their name and email address, They click submit Boom they’re on the list, One and done Double.

Opt-In is Basically, what it sounds The customer has to opt in twice, so they fill out that form and then they have to Go back to their email, They’ll get a confirmation. Email just making sure hey. Do you really wan na Be a part of this list and they have to click, submit again Well now, Morgan that Seems like a lot more work than the single opt-in and I know I’ve had to do it in the past. [ Morgan, ] Yeah.

So what are some pros? And cons, maybe of that Yeah. So some of the cons of a double opt-in is that there’s higher barriers to entry right, You’re going to have people who sign up and then they say uh That’s too much work Really not that much work, but you will have people That will fall off because they don’t want to – or maybe they forget or They have too many emails, it just gets lost so you’re, actually, probably Going to have less subscribers in the double opt-in, Versus the single opt-in Now with the single opt-in, You might have a lot of subscribers that you’re Not really interested in A lot of bots A lot of spam because Really anyone can sign up and there’s not a verification.

Process that happens So you’re saying possibly with the double opt-in. You have more relevant subscribers that actually wan na hear from you You’re going to have a More engaged audience It’s going to be smaller, but it’s going to be probably more targeted and people that are Really keenly interested in you and your message, So we’ve talked about the differences between single and double opt-in, but now that we have the double opt-in, how do you make sure that They go through all the steps and actually opt in Yeah, so the first Thing that you can do is on your website when They do that first part of the opt-in.

You can Just have it redirect to a page that says: hey You’re, almost there Hey, go check out your email to finish and do the last step. That will just be a reminder to them that oh yeah, I need To go do that right now, so it doesn’t get buried and lost, And I also see that as Another verification check say, for instance, someone Just throws your email in there, my wife and you Didn’t really wan na sign up for that email list? You Have to go into your email and actually hit that last confirmation, So the next step for the double opt-in after they’ve gone into the email, they’ve clicked submit They’ve done all these steps for you.

They want your stuff. Why don’t you just thank’em? Just have a thank you page Say hey. I know this was a lot of work. Maybe you don’t have to say that directly but just say thank you. This is going to be awesome. We’re on an amazing journey. Here in my email list, A little appreciation goes a long way So with email marketing you Do wan na give your subscribers the option of unsubscribing Oh yes, However, when they Click that unsubscribe take’em to another page and give’em some options.

You can have a one click Unsubscribe, where they just like the one click opt-in, they click and boom. They’re off your list, but you might want to Give them some options, like you said where hey Instead of getting every email, maybe you’re just getting my newsletter or maybe you’re, just getting Highlights once a month, People might actually be More inclined to do that because maybe you’re Sending too many emails – or maybe they just wanted this one thing, so that gives your customers options and keeps more people on your list.

Also, you can look at that data and realize what pieces of Your content are doing better than others and then Know to focus on those All right guys. Now we know the difference. How to Use Facebook for Your Online Business

What’s up, How are ya Good, No surprise we’re going to Dive into Facebook today The book face But I also ( laughing ) The face book. It is your favorite right, It is my favorite No well, I don’t like To choose favorites So we’re talking about Facebook for your business – Maybe I just have a personal page and I’ve decided – maybe it’s Time to create a business page for my business right, What are kind of the First, steps that I need to really think about Well you’re, already, Off to a great start, You wan na go to a business page And that’s really important.

Because then, you get the ability to track metrics and analytics So absolutely business. Page over personal page And then from there You wan na make sure you set up your profile. Get that profile photo. Usually your logo works great or maybe, if it’s your personal brand use a great headshot of yourself and then take that cover photo to really showcase your Products or your services and then from there make Sure all your information is up to date And that Is really important? Your hours, your website, Your phone number 100 % And make sure that lines up with your Google And your Yelp listings too Right I went into a coffee shop recently I Was in northern California, You drink a lot of coffee, ( laughing ), It’s true And the cashier was looking At me, like I don’t know like, maybe she wanted to rush me and I’m thinking they’re Open for two more hours, what’s the deal, ( laughing ) Sure enough, they were Closing in five minutes I go, but your Facebook says and I wanted to Go into my spiel like this, but I saved it got a quick Coffee to go fortunately, but that’s the whole point.

I left with a customer experience that wasn’t as ideal And then onto probably one of the largest most impactful components: content Right, always preach Quality over quantity Yeah, so you definitely Want to make sure you vary your content, So mix it up. You know you don’t Wan na become predictable; Okay, And you also don’t want to turn into just a business always talking about yourself right. It becomes so salesy.

When it’s always about me, me me So salesy me me me: yeah, Buy this, buy that Yeah sell, sell, sell; Rather you want to Tell tell tell Exactly ( laughing ) Throw something out there. That’s entertaining I mean social media is escapism. Oh yeah, Throw in a good laugh But also educate me, So I always tell my friends: That I follow my dentist on Facebook and they look At me, like I’m crazy, Why right What And it’s because my dentist Shares really educational tips and tricks like how to whiten my teeth without spending hundreds of dollars.

I saw also my yoga studio was just giving a friendly Reminder to stretch how to maintain the zen, which Is really important in life? Absolutely Also, sharing testimonials that you’ve already Received on Yelp and Google and turning it into a Facebook post Right repurpose that content Take that review. Let’s Say it went on about your your ice cream, you’re an ice cream shop, And the review goes on about How you have the best flavors, but the ultimate flavor Is definitely rocky road, Absolutely Yeah, it’s the best Hands down.

So you have that review that the customer went on About your rocky road ice cream and then use Canva or Something and in the background of that review and select A picture of the rocky road on a nice ice cream cone. It really brings it to life. For those of you that don’t know, Canva is a free website that Has all sorts of templates and kits and graphics For literally all things that you could possibly create Like social media templates, Facebook headers all that Good stuff and it’s free – I use it pretty religiously, Also article, So I’m a huge advocate, Of article I love article Just keep it on the shorter Side, attention spans are short Seems like under two minutes: Or so under three minutes Yeah.

Definitely I would even a minute is good and also doing behind the scenes footage. That’s one of my favorite things about following local businesses is like well, I wan na know how This all comes together And showcase your staff And also repurpose anything your customers take User generated content And I think what gets A lot of people hung up on, creating article is, maybe they don’t have a production set like we do right, (, laughing ) And that’s okay.

Our smart phones are Pretty darn good right, Yeah they’re, pretty smart, Take a article with your phone and even it doesn’t have To be the best quality Go behind the scenes. People like that story like to see the other side of things, and it really helps them. Relate to who you are as a business owner You’re, not just some faceless company. So next up we have these groups. Can you tell us a little Bit about what the Facebook groups are and how I can potentially leverage It as a business owner Yeah, so definitely Encourage you to pay attention to other like-minded Businesses, but also groups to piggy back off the Engagement, you already have, I will say, content is Where you wan na spend most of your time, but Groups can be an advantage to getting your business More exposure for sure, So next up we have advertising.

What do we do with the Paid advertising aspect Yeah, so it’s no secret. Facebook has gone on Record to say organic reach is on ( whistling ) the decline Don’t give up on it. Organic content is still Alive and well and breathing, but I think Facebook posts that you boost has a lot of potential and you Can reach a targeted audience, which is one of favorite things about it? You can start off with like five bucks and you can get in front Of a specific demographic age group, zip codes and That way, you know your post is going to reach the right people And with I would kinda Look at the post that maybe have done the best And then boost those and get those that reach out.

That’s a really good point. Thank you for bringing that up. It’s usually ( laughing ) Wait you’re the expert ( laughing ) I dabble So with Facebook. It’s you wan na go ahead and let the post that you’re Doing hang out organically for a little bit, Let it chill see how it Does garner some reach Now once it garners some Reach then boost it, That’s what we found to work best While a lot of people. I Speak to think, there’s no way to track this to ROI.

That’s a total myth. You can actually go ahead and look at it’s called your insights tab and it breaks down everything. You know what your audience is liking engaging with. Are they Clicking on the links, what time of day they’re doing this, and when you look at all of that and really understand it, the insights you can truly be informed about. Where do I go from here right Like? Where do I go from When it comes to which days work best to post, what Time of day works best Does my audience prefer The entertaining posts more than the educational And on which days And from there you can truly Come up with a great strategy, What happens if I’m not Getting maybe the engagement that I want? Are there any like, like Just great pro tips or boosts that I can do to help me.

Just skyrocket and get in front of those people Yes, Contests: Okay, how so So recently, I saw this cafe that had a special music guest coming in and they encouraged their Audience on the Facebook post, which is like promoting the music, Okay, yeah Comment below and tag a friend and then they’re going to do a random drawing, and it’s like two free Tickets to the show That quick little tag, A friend now becomes just free advertisement for you and it’s costing you a couple tickets or maybe a free, drink or free burger.

Exactly Or whatever you do, You could also ask a question: What is your “ go, to” order when You come into our restaurant Or, what’s you favorite thing on the menu and your favorite person to dine with, And so it’s your customers Spreading word of mouth about what’s great to eat So on Twitter and Instagram Hashtags are super relevant, but I don’t always see It as often on Facebook Are they a thing.

Absolutely I mean here’s the thing when it comes to using hashtags Whether it’s on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook, Or if you’re just posting either way you got ta monitor it, because it’s going to be Different for each business, It doesn’t hurt to use Them just be mindful and use relevant, hashtags Perfect and probably only one or two Don’t go overboard. Just a few Yeah, you don’t need to go overboard.

$300 Per Day Email Marketing Formula

My name is Eric elegy with Eric, elegant calm, and if this is your first time coming across, my blog make sure you slap that damn subscribe button in the faith to join the family. Any questions comments concerns before I actually dive into the content drop them below. Cuz, I do read every single comment and that’s going to at least follow me on Instagram to keep track of the day to day life. So I can be here potential mentor and helping the lack of time, location and financial freedom.

Now we’re going to dive right into the concept, but before I do, if you don’t know why, I’m literally college dropout went from living a life of poverty stricken and not knowing what I wanted in life to our transition to entrepreneurship. I saw it has my freedom of my ticket to success, but I was putting literally twelve hours per day and I was like you know what this isn’t for me. What can I do that? I can have location and financial freedom and I literally stumbled across digital marketing online business.

So it had those three things right tomorrow. I’r literally fine to freakin Bali, Bali for the last 12 months of a traveling full-time for 2018 and jenos live in three months or actually, four months. I’ve taken seven countries bonds going to be my seventh country over 15 different flights over a dozen boats over a freaking 20 to 30 freaking sea, because I have no freaking idea, but I literally travel full-time her two to four hours a week, literally with my email Marketing business, so I definitely need you to pay close attention so what we’re going to be covering in this article, if you want any chance of getting results within your email marketing business unless dive in all right guys, let’s dive right into the content.

So basically, I recently took an email marketing course, and I learned some very good things, so I’m going to go ahead and get right into the content right now in this actual email, here’s the thing as far as my email ratio. What I recently learned is what you should be doing, and this is just in business in general. You should be doing. Excuse me more value that you’re doing pitch right. So I’m doing a 2:1 ratio right now and I do email every day.

Some people give you different advice. I personally hit my list every single day, just like I create YouTube articles every day, so I like to be dependable. I want people to look out for my emails right now. The more value emails that you post, if you’re, not just pitching people pitching people, pivoting people if you’re producing value over the amount of emails that you’re producing pitch emails.

People are naturally going to want to open up your emails because they know that they’re going to learn something or gain something died right. However, with that being said, um this is a pitch email and basically, what I’m doing is I’m leveraging my current life current event to to basically catch traction right. So I’m moving to Bali, which is absolutely true, literally and less than or in 24 hours, and have a flight to Bali right.

So here’s how I start out right now. Here’s the thing. The first thing that I want to mention to you guys is in all my pitch emails. I have three call to actions on my link, whatever offer you’re promoting, I like to have to recall two actions right so to increase click-through rate in the first or the second um article. Remember, you’re, going to have three type of readers right, you’re going to have one person could care less about what your actual email says.

They’re literally just going to say what is this person offering? What is this person trying to tell me? That’s number one number two you’re going to have somebody who’s going to read your a whole entire email and throughout your email. If you write a compelling story, then what the news they’ll simply go ahead and actually click your link midway through because you’ve sold them through your compelling story, number three is you’re going to have people that skip to the end.

They don’t want to see the bullcrap. The people that just write the P SS and that’s why I have a link in the PS right, so we’ll break it down right so tomorrow evening my flight leads to Bali, I’ll pay for by this business right here so congruent with my headline. Here’s a link and it’s going to bring them to my affiliate marketing article sales letter right there’s.

My first call to action very simple: the people who don’t read this I’m going to have uh percentage of people who literally click it, and it’s in my first line now my first call to action what I’m doing pitch emails I like to have either one in The first line, or in the second line, first or second line an early call to action to get people to take advantage right. The objective guys is conversions.

The way you increase your conversions is by getting clicks right, but just to be frank with you guys, what’s going to be more valuable, are these clicks in the middle? What I mean by that is because they’ve read some your copy and your actual email marketing copy compelled them to take action on your link. So they’re going to be more warmed up to your offer and they’re going to be more willing to actually buy your offer.

But I do today, convergence convergence converges if you do have a good article sales letter for whatever you’re promoting that’s why I always have one up front in the early on call to action right. So what I’m doing is guys just story telling write stories sell. So you have to be a great storyteller, simple Point, Blank period if you want any chance at marking, so let me get to the actual story tomorrow evening.

My flight leaves to Bali all paid for by this business right here. Listen, my friend life wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows flag can punch in the mouth, sometimes wait for you to get up and punch punch punch you right in the face again. I want to say again and again. The question is: are you going to stay down when you get knocked down or keep getting back up now, just to kind of? Let you guys know whenever your story telling you once your target audience to fill the pain, and you want them to resonate with your message and basically, whatever they’re going through right.

You want them to be able to literally like kind of fill this like you want to speak directly to them. So my target my target audience right. My avatar, you want to know your avatar, because you want to know who you’re writing to and not everybody’s going to understand this message, but my targeted buyer is going to resonate with this message right. My target avatar is people who are struggling in digital marketing business.

They fell before they’ve tried online business before they failed or they haven’t taken the leap yet because they don’t think it works or they’re skeptical or they’re just their own defense right. That’s my target audience. So I’m speaking directly to that person with my storytelling, the question is: are you going to stay down when you get knocked down or keep getting back up? There were so many times I felt like giving up right, so the person reading this message might resonate with this right.

They might think if they’re, actually in online business already, you might be thinking to themselves here, you’re right, I felt like giving up soup at a point. I even got a desk job for two weeks during my deepest and darkest times in my digital marketing journey. Now, the reason why I’m showing I’m put on putting myself down back to the level of basically when I just put myself in their shoes right to where these are real problems, that people go through with in this industry.

So if you’re, just like. Oh, here’s the easy way to get to make money online or get-rich-quick where it become a millionaire or whatever, whatever, whatever right, it’s not going to work, because it’s not relatable. This is authenticity. Authenticity sells when you’re actually showing yourself being a real person going through real struggles and real problems right and then eventually transitioning to that hero.

It’s called the hero’s journey, guys, I’m all successful screenwriters in Hollywood use this storytelling form that called the hero’s journey when the hero, literally like Superman, went from Clark Kent to freaking saving the world right. So that’s what I’m portraying this message and I’m and you’re you relate with the person you put yourself in their shoes showing them that you have your own hero within yourself right, meaning the same things that I went through your going to right now, and this is How you get there right? This is how you get to that hero so um after feeling like pulling the trigger meeting a gun – and this is all facts.

This is true right on the train ride home from work. I called my boss gag. I hate saying that word and told him dot dot. I’r sorry! I can’t do this. I quit. I wasn’t where I wanted to be financially so I still had to pick up a job, but I went to what I knew best sales. If I ever had to work a job ever again, I’d have to do sales. If I’m going to be a part of corporate slavery, I’m at least going to write my own paycheck.

I ended up stacking up enough money to slowly start adding a budget for my marketing business and got got it rocking again. Eventually, I started catching traction. I handed in my resignation and left two weeks later to start traveling the world working remotely from anywhere with my internet business. So here’s the pain right, you’re, talking about the pain, here’s a hero’s journey, we’re talking about where you came and where you’re going and what you used to leverage there and then what I’m literally doing is making one of my call to actions the actual thing that Set me free right, we’re just going to be way more powerful.

I promise you conversion wise. This link people click this link, we’ll convert into cells better than people who have read listening. I promise you that, but again the objective guys, if you have a great article sales letter for your offer, is to get the link clicks next, since then, in 2018 alone, this will be my seventh country, my 15 plus flight, and who knows what them city two-minute Account my point is this: when a life knocks you down, you have to get back up and keep fighting look for another approach or Avenue to get to your ending destination.

Whatever you do, just don’t lose sight of your vision. It’s not going to be easy. My friend, but looking back from now, you appreciate your efforts so again guys I’m leading with authenticity. That’s what I believe in guys. I don’t believe I do believe in using triggers and things to make people make buying decisions like where it’s like easy and quick and fast I’d like to use them at the right time.

I’r not one of those marketers who likes to sell people on the dream of this is going to be the easiest money. You’ve ever had I’m the type of person where I’m going to tell you what it’s going to take, but I’m going to go ahead and show you through my journey of like it’s going to be worse the even though it’s going to be hard. It’s going to be worth it right, so if this email can get through to one person – and I can help you get through the hump and eventually to master success, I’ve done my job.

But that being said, this is to our future success PS. If you want access to the same system, I’m leveraging where to for Apple 10 to 15-minute emails a day. So remember when I told you guys about me using cell psychology and making people using certain verbage and triggers to make people make buying decisions. And this little paragraph you can actually read that right. So if you want access to the same system, I’m leveraging to where two to four hours per week so two to four hours per week, I’m not going to lie to you guys.

Obviously – and this is true – yes – maybe 24 hours a week is spent in my emails, and I can very well work to the crowds a week and just write, emails and outsource everything in work. Two hours a week, four hours a week and um generate a ridiculous amount of money, but because of the way I’m built, I worked way more than two to four hours per week. Now again, this is what I’m talking about cell psychology.

Another thing is: writing simple. Ten to fifteen many emails now, sometimes these emails take more than ten to fifteen minutes. It just so happens that this email took fifteen minutes, but again I’m using this because I’m basically playing to that person because you have three types of people – are going to read your emails. The person who needs to be sold right through your storytelling, the person who just wants instant access and your beginning and then the person on the back end who’s not going to read this.

They just want this to get rich quick, get rich, quick person either. Today, I’m willing to get I’m willing to sell any one of them right, but you want those different type, different, three different types of approaches to sell those three types of people with those three different call to actions right and um. So 10, 15 minute emails a day like this one, making thousands of dollars in commissions traveling the world full time, so it’s very benefit rate and what I, what I want to do is you want to always put the put the benefit rich into them.

So one thing that I need to change in this email, which I will after this article, is in all these eyes. I can so or eyes I’m leveraging. You also want to add you what I mean by you. Is you want that person, even if you’re doing a weight loss, product or whatever you’re selling right you want this to be about them? You want the email to me about them, not about you, the more use you have and the more benefit rich and desire, rich, meaning, helping the person actually reading your content, get a specific goal or desire they’re going to be more inclined to actually make a purchase With your email marketing, that’s why, instead of if you so you see how I said if you want access to the same system, I’m loving to wear to the four hours a week, writing full-time, and then I want to add something like this and, more importantly, portent Li, how you can achieve the exact same results so guys that’s going to go ahead and increase conversions because I’m making it beneficial to them.

It’s not just about me click here right so just to quickly recap: I’m leveraging a moment. That’s happening in my life, which is not moving the body and um. Basically, this is right here. It’s not just pitch pitch pitch. There’s a lot of people who just do three liners who say: hey click, hey click! This link right here, your friend and your friend Eric Ellis jr. Right at the end of the day, you want people to actually buy and you want people to look forward to opening your emails.

That’s why I always have content within my emails only time. I do three liner emails like one two three lines and then call to action and then keep it moving is when, like I’m, rushing – and I don’t have time in the day to actually write an email. But I do have to get an email to my list because I commit to email my list daily. That’s the only time I’ll do a three-letter, but for the most part, usually spend ten to thirty minutes to create an email per date and get in the habit of writing daily emails to where your list, your list might be bigger mine’s, it might not be.

Who knows at the end of the day, even if you have 40 subscribers and you’re getting a 10 percent open rate, which is only for people opening your emails per day? At the end of the day, you want to build these success habits early right, um to where, when you do start to actually build a list right 80 and I and subscribe yesterday 15 today, um 8,000 people right you’re already in the habit of writing an email You’re already in the habit of writing your emails on the daily, so that way like the you’re just going to make more money, the more the more people that get on your list right.

So that’s that’s! I kind of rambling. At the end I apologize but um. That’s it guys, that’s that’s the magic formula now just some some things that I want to cover right where people are going to be asking this right. I know this is going to come up because people are asking things like this before now. The first thing that I want to go ahead and break down to you number one is value value, value, value majority of your emails that you’re emailing your list should be value based emails and an example of a value based.

Email is simply the same type of sales copy, but the axe, a link that you’re setting people to is value-based content. It’s not trying to sell them something so something that can help your person in your niche get a mute, a desired goal, meaning help them generate more leave. Whoever it is right, if you’re in the weight loss niche for a cinema tips on losing weight, send them articles blog articles, all that extra stuff.

You want to continuously provide value. That’s number one, two to one ratio to value, one to value one! That’s my shit about okay, one pitch now out of your pitch emails. There’s the RVL formula, the RVL formula is simply our four results right. This isn’t a results. Email, v4 value, l4 lifestyle now results is simply. If I’m talking about hey, I made a thousand dollars today: here’s how you break it down and I go out and pitch them saying if you want to generate a thousand dollars in a day check this out right or if you don’t have results.

Yet that’s what people are going to ask new Eric? I don’t have results. I get it. Leverage somebody else’s results talk about somebody within your company, who’s, even lost weight, and the reason why I keep a lot of weight loss because that’s one of the biggest missions in life period, right, health, wealth romance or if your niche is um. If your niches like make money online and mitt leverage people in your business right talk about a story, write a compelling story about somebody who went from rags to riches within your company and say: look they just made three thousand dollars today.

You can too right, and then you say you, you do the thing that I just explained within this email to get them to take action on your email. Number three um is lifestyle value. This is more so in the combination of both of lifestyle value. The value is me, motivating them kind of giving them picking them up when they’re down, and even if – and this is how you can tell its value. Even if somebody does not click my link did they attain value from this email? Absolutely, how did they gain value from it, because it’s motivation its uplifting them? It’s basically, if they’re already promoting a business opportunity, they’re still going to be like you know what I can do this.

This guy is doing this ba ba ba ba ba okay value. That’s how it’s right number two and his lifestyle, I’m talking about my lifestyle, I’m talking about traveling full-time, I’m talking about the way I travel full-time is by this actual offer right here within here right, so your pitch emails are going to be results, value lifestyle! Remember that results, value lifestyle and then your actual value emails to just be redirecting people to buy the concept within your niche.

Lastly, to the point of people who are saying, will air what, if I’m not living the desired lifestyle guys you can still present yourself as an authority simply by consistently presenting yourself as a leader. Somebody who leads from the front who’s always searching for valuable content and redistributing it to your following to show them and help them progress within their business and taking the Tom aside to basically leave from the front right.

People be the person that people want to follow. Right be the person who leads people, you don’t have to be living the most amazing freakin lifestyle to get results within your business, so this article is much longer than I anticipated, but I wanted to over deliver and value to basically show you that guys. This is the magic formula, and, last but not least, the point that I want to make is that when it comes to headlines, your headlines aren’t always going to be perfect, but you do want to work on and there’s different trainings.

I know it is Rachit. I know it is Anyway, I’m going to get straight to the first question, So I Know that you don’t have a background in marketing, You are an engineer by Profession and yet you choose social media marketing as a career. So what Exactly influenced you to choose it as a career or get into the field of social Media Well, first and foremost, I, like I like people I like dealing with people, And I’m very fond of technology and along the way, I think I like being Backstage working on a product or service and seeing it come to life, and I Think, somewhere along the way, you know a bridge between technology, people and Marketing got me into digital marketing.

We you Know the story about you, starting out your first gig as a social media. Marketer was when you were handling battle of the bands. Can you Tell me something about that Yeah, so I think it was. It was about six.. Six years. Ago I think it was my fourth year in college, the third or fourth year in College – I don’t remember, but I was actually made to organize an event. Called the Battle of the Bands, You know the logistics, putting it together and Also, the marketing and we were tight at tight with budgets back then right and We wanted to see how we could make do with the resources in the best possible Way – and I remember back then about six years ago, I spent like a hundred or 200 Rupees on on Facebook Ads – and you know I saw some numbers come up, so I think that Was a curious start into digital? For me, That’s really good to know, and I’m glad that you started out that Way, it’s a fun story to tell as well.

You spent a lot of time learning digital Marketing and social media marketing, so can you tell us what? How exactly did you Learn the tools and develop the skills to become a social media, marketer Well, To learn courses, there are multiple courses available online, Free and paid Depending on what you want to go for it depending, if you have a budget or not, I Think going through those courses and actually applying it and working on A portfolio because that makes a big difference.

Fortunately, for me, I reached Out to a couple of friends who were starting out their own businesses and Also people who had taken up to their family businesses So that way for me, I Got a chance to experiment and explore and try out whatever I was Learning on these different, you know these different businesses and that Became my portfolio right, It would be difficult for me to go. Get a client Because I would not have any credibility, but this way you know I was doing as Much as you know, these people got their work done at no cost or probably free It was actually a bigger favor for me to have a portfolio to present to people.

Beyond that, Let me ask you a more basic question: Because a lot of people don’t really know what a portfolio is and how Important it actually is, so if you can tell us what a portfolio is and how Exactly you built your portfolio a little more specifically, if you could Do that for us All right, so a portfolio could be very specific based On which vertical of digital marketing you want to go to because, like I said, Digital marketing is a large, you know it’s a large field, it has its own Verticals within it, You could be a person specializing in Facebook ads in Search engine optimization in affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, You Could also be building websites in general, which is your basic web Development right – and it depends where you want to showcase your, how you want to showcase your portfolio but, more importantly, where a portfolio Stands out is if you are able to showcase how you were able to present or You know showcase a growth of a business.

You associated a partner with from point A to point B during the time you are, you know you helped and worked on it. Right so that gives a better vision or sense of better standard for people. Wanting to understand what a portfolio is supposed to look like, So just to simplify, basically a portfolio, is you know your practice? It’s like a practice pitch. You create a lot Of things based on your experience and then you have it to show for your Clients in the future right Yeah best practice, because also you need to show The right kind of portfolio going forward, For example, if I have a Portfolio, for example, of of ten different kinds of businesses and if two Or three of them could be portfolios of real estate and, if I’m not too keen on Working on the real estate side, although I might have worked on it, it’s not Something I’d necessarily want to show as my portfolio, So I’ve heard that you Went to a lot of friends when you started out to get their portfolio, I mean to build your portfolio, you kind of went to them and asked if you could do Their website is that true Yeah, it worked both ways.

They said: “, hey, you’re, Doing this, your jobless, why don’t you do this?”? I said “, Yeah, great” and also I requested People, if I could try out what I was learning on their Businesses, because I was also certain that it was going to work and also it It didn’t come to all these people at a cost, so they were willing to Experiment also, So it was a win-win situation. Both ways.So portfolio is really really important when you are starting out as a social media marketer.

Yes, it goes. It holds much higher weightage than any certifications you get online. They don’t Matter: Okay, so now you’ve been in the industry for a while. Now can you tell me How long it actually takes for a freelancer to make money out of working As social media marketer as a freelance Well honestly, since I got into Digital marketing, my first three months, I think, was a lot of learning on pure Basics and it and I kept learning I I started taking projects three months.

I Mean three months into the learning phase. So if you ask me, I think I Actually started, you know making my first buck as a freelancer, probably five Months after I began my learning process, It could have begun earlier too, and This is something I would like to share you. I don’t think anyone needs to be in A hurry to earn that quick buck, because the way I look at it there are enough Businesses around us, everybody needs marketing, it’s not a big deal.

If you go Out there and actually get a client, I mean it’s really nice, but you know it’s Not too difficult What actually matters is getting the right kind of client by Showcasing the right kind of work. So if you actually end up working on yourself, Understanding tools and processes better in digital and are able to build your Portfolio well and then go and get a client that that would be a normal flow.

But if you ask me six months, I think it took me six months. I could have done it. Earlier I just chose not to That’s nice, but for people who are looking for something more specific. How much would someone with your experience make in a month just to be just to know how much that would be Sure as a freelancer, you know You can a freelancer can bill a client or a brand at you know: 20,000 Rupees a Month to 50,000 Rupees a month, even a lakh, a Month, so it depends on how much work you can handle if you can Handle two or three clients who are paying you about 40,000 Rupees a month.

Yeah, you can learn about a lakh and 40,000 Rupees a month as a freelancer, but then Again, you know, being a freelancer. Has your pros and cons, I mean you’re, a Single man team, which is going to be difficult because you can’t you know Take days off you’re going to be, you can’t handle the crisis of three Clients at the same time, so it has its pros and cons, but yeah I mean it. Depends on the individual, so anything between like say, even if you charge Three different clients: ten thousand rupees each.

You can start with at least At a thirty thousand rupees a month, So as a freelancer, you can make 30,000 a month. That’s really good! Ok, so now to get into something more Serious Now, once you developed the tools and you developed the skills to be a Social media marketer. How? And where did you find the clients? Because you know They’re not like sitting there waiting for you. How did you find your clients To be honest, with you most of my clients, I found that at a party My First client I found out at the bar quite literally and most of them, but When that that’s quite true right, I think for me personally, personal Connections has worked a lot because if you’ve done work for somebody and you Know, there’s a very and if they’re happy, there’s a very high chance that they Will refer you to their peers in their network because again, if you refer Someone good you know it’s a pat on the back as well right, because a good Referral goes a long way.

Apart from that, I did. I did use different Facebook Groups I mean everyone should be aware that every city town has some localized Facebook group or the other right where people are probably wanting something to Sell wanting a service or wanting help or whatever Every city has it a Bangalore has it Bombay, has it Bangalore, has even more localized groups for every Area like in Indranagar will have their own groups right so tapping into these Groups and not selling your products right, You want to be offering value.

People will post a question or a problem on their group. Go there help them out. Get on a call with them solve that problem. For them you never Know I mean if you manage to build a trust which I think, for me at least, has Been the biggest in a factor, because if you, if you give someone value, they are Able to trust you and they would like to work with you in the long run and then Referrals come So word of mouth is the best way to you know to get across your clients, but to make a start, you have a lot of Facebook groups that you know where People inquire and also there are there are freelance platforms: upwork.

Com Freelancer.Com are platforms, they are very competitive. You need to be, you know, Good at closing your deal to be able to get your projects on on these platforms. Because it’s a bidding, it’s a bidding way. It’s a way. You bid for a particular Project and at the same time, it is how you communicate to them to actually land Your gig, so these things matter on on platforms like this, but why I choose to Prefer, like you know, a Facebook group over and up work personally, and this is What’s worked for me is because, if I, if I establish a connection over a Facebook, Group – I don’t know it’s just that I feel there’s a friendly approach already, if Someone’s on Upwork or on freelancer.

Com, the chances of them There, on that platform for a one-time, gig is very high right On any of the Other blogs, you could look at having associating on a longer period of time. But it’s not entirely true, because you know what if I I recently did a gig on Upwork where the client said: hey, listen, I’m calling you the next time. I’r Launching this, so you know it depends on your rapport with the client Okay, so I guess, like you know, it was very interesting that you said that you Started with you know, socializing with people and that’s how you found your Clients – but I guess now, with the lockdown pandemic social distancing, that would Be impossible, So the best bet would be Facebook groups and freelancing websites & job sites, like you said, so that’s really helpful.

Thank you and The next question I have for you is, you know: a lot of people say that having a Mentor in a certain industry that you’re entering having a mentor is a Great thing, because they’ll help you, because they have experience in that Field, so do you think that having a mentor is you know, is required for Someone who’s starting out. It’s a tricky question. I can speak for myself. I don’t think it’s important to have a mentor.

I don’t think it’s important to Be confined to one person for all your advice and needs. I think it’s important To have an open mind, get your information and resources and You know advice from different people, irrespective of the kind of expertise or Industry they come from because you never know where you can find value and Pickup some information and work on it. Having said that, I do come across you.

Know I mean I’m sure we all do come across times where we, you know, we Glorify a certain personality or a person, and we are enamored by the kind Of work they do, and you know we go crazy about that. Right and it’s normal to feel that way, and I feel that too, at times with Certain people and the point is I’m aware of it, and I also choose not to be Attached to that – and I think that’s important Literally a few days ago, I was Sitting with a eight-year-old, you know helping the eight-year-old on on Something on the computer on a tool and that eight-year-old taught me a tool.

I Was really searching for on the internet for a long time right and specifically For my system requirements and I said wow thank you, you made my life a lot. Easier right, So I think anyone who can give you some kind of direction. Irrespective of who they are where they’re from they are your mentor, but Don’t restrict to one That is the best thing I have heard today. I think that we can learn Anything and everything from the people we meet from the books, we read whatever and everything and that’s really good advice.

So you know the life of a Freelancer is really glorified on social media. You know how they tell you that You know you can sit by the beach and you know you have Your laptop and you can work, and you have couples traveling the world and making Money as freelancers, so I just want to know what is the reality behind this What is your experience been like as a freelancer About working and sipping Margaritas by the beach Did you do that I have, but then you know it’s One day in your life, you’re, probably one day in your year, I mean it’s not every Day I mean you have to work, you have to be realistic.

You have to be practical, Right Yeah, there have been a few days like that and I can count the number of Days or probably 2 or 3 days in the entire yeah, but but no you know Especially the freelancer life is over-glorified on Instagram. It is I mean there are two sides: there are true and false sides to it. You have your freedom, So you can literally do what you want. Yes, but the whole flashy cars and you Know big pools the spontaneous traveling, I think a lot of it isn’t actually what It is, I do know, a couple of people who lead such lives and are very good at it.

But I also do know that a majority of people, you know, don’t actually lead Lives like that, so if you ask me, Instagram is Instagram because it’s Supposed to look good people put out their best pictures, That’s very true, okay, so now that we know what your opinion is on that, can you tell me what a day in the life of a social media marketer is a day in your life A day in My life yeah, I mean it’s, I mean just like every other job has its Own challenges and is probably hectic in its own way for us, it’s a lot of screen.

Time right I mean it’s a lot of phone times, a lot of communication and all of That, especially if you’re working on a brand where things are being launched, Posts need to be live, ads need to be live, there’s a lot of coordination and Communication right, so I begin my day by you know literally going over my tasks. Lists and things I need to be done. Normally, I have a preset set of calls. That I have scheduled for the day, which I have to Take make and that’s normally set over the weekend.

I make sure I set my calls. Ahead but then, during the rest of the time, it’s making sure things are going. All right finances are in check, clients are happy, marketing strategies are in Place coordinating with the team and every day is this probably something new A new problem to solve so there’s no definite way how the day goes. But yeah, that’s in a nutshell: that’s how it is, But you enjoy this life that you’re leading as a social media marketer I do I enjoy.

There is some method in the madness here Nice. So is there any book or you know, Resource you would recommend for someone who’s, starting out as a social media. Marketer, because I myself am very interested in the topic. And if I want to Learn usually I pick up a book or two to read about it. I am better with reading books, so is there any book or resource you would recommend You know for a person Starting out on social media and digital marketing, books are a great point to go.

For if you want to understand something in principle, the only way the only Reason is because I feel oh, and this is what I genuinely feel Digital is so dynamic, and technology updates itself so fast that if someone Has to write something down: publish a book. Go for printing, get it on the Shelves I mean that’s a lot of time. Things are redundant, they Are not updated anymore right, so I think, on the Digital side, I personally read a lot of blogs.

I read at least a minimum of 5 to 10 blogs. Every day – and I have to I read from marketing land from social media today, From social media marketing world from SEM Rush has a couple of nice blogs. Written Neil Patel writes nice stuff. Of course everyone knows These are Some of the blogs, because blogs are written more spontaneously and updated Then and there so as opposed to books Books have that principle defined.

I am But if you want to something that you want something, that’s updated, I guess Podcasts or blogs are more up-to-date. Is there any podcast that you listen to? You know religiously, I’m a person that gets bored too Quickly, I need to consume information too, and keep moving over there’s One there’s business voice is a nice podcast, but of course it’s more the business Side of things There’s an interesting podcast by Sean Ellis.

The person who Wrote who wrote the book Hacking Growth? Oh by the way you asked about the book. You asked for books right, so here’s a book called hacking growth by Sean Ellis Which is which is nice Sean has also also has a podcast, I’m not sure what It’s called, I think we can figure it out and we can put it here by But it’s it’s! So now, looking at the scenario you have had experience in this field, based on your experience and the current Scenario, what advice would you give someone who would like to start out as a Social media marketer Still a great time. There are enough businesses that are out There needing these services so yeah, it’s a great time to be getting into Social media, marketing or digital marketing any of these verticals – I don’t Think the person should look at you know making a quick buck, because there’s no Shortcut to it, Learning the tools, well, understanding them.

Experimenting, you know that that’s that’s a process. Someone needs to look Into a look into, and not look at one of these, how do you become a millionaire Overnight schemes, that’s not you, so you know, keep growing I mean, I don’t think, there’s anyone who’s an expert in this field. The industry is so dynamic, there’s so much to learn so yeah, I’m just you know. Adding this to it, what advice would you give your younger self? So when you Started out, if you know, based on whatever you have learned so far, is there Anything you would go back and tell your younger self, you know advice, you would Give your younger self basically! So it depends.

This question: are you asking me Before I did engineering after I did engineering Coz its two different answers, Say after you did Engineering After I did engineering. So after I did Engineering I applied with the two companies. Actually I applied with the Minimalist from Bombay I applied with Facebook, Singapore, Both of which I I got To quite a decent part of the interview I think, for Facebook it was the top Something thirty or something like that for the Singapore role and I think for Minimalist was the reason why I made my first trip to to Mumbai in the first Place – and we had an – I had an interview, I think, with Chirag of minimalist at that Time, I think my objective was to to find a job if I was going to be associated With companies with good visions – and you know, were here for the long run, Otherwise, I would want to choose a freelance route or an agency route that Was my objective? So if I had to do anything differently, that’s going to be Hard because I don’t think I couldn’t I would do it, I’m happy with the way we Are progressing Of course, my there are more micro level decisions.

I would have made differently. Probably I would not have signed off for signed off on certain clients. I would Not have taken on certain work because a lot of clients can slow you down. You Know and hamper your growth so that way, I think I would have avoided certain Certain clients, So now for those who are listening and reading right now, if you could give a few steps to start out as a social media marketer that would make it easy for them to transition and to get into the industry.

What would Those steps be The first first step is to learn, learn, study some courses, There enough courses, free courses online – you can put yourself through a paid Course or you could do a free course, but but then it depends on you know if you Have the bandwidth to go through a structured course and if it suits Your budget, that’s that’s a route you can take If you and soon after doing This course, or while you’re doing this course, it’s important to at least get Yourself, two clients or two prospects, or you know your uncle’s father’s friends.

Business and work on it experiment on it, so you can learn while you’re. You know, While you’re working on it, because you don’t want to be Experimenting on a person who has just given you a business and paid you and You know goof it up right If you do it well, that’s a different case, but you Know, that’s you would want to not. You would not want to get into that kind of A situation Once you finish your learning process finish your portfolio.

Building process and then decide if you want to get into a job, freelance or Start your own business, Each of them have a beautiful career path and you Know and they’re each nice in their own way. It depends if you want to work with An agency or if you want to work with a brand, if you want to freelance yourself Or if you want to build a team together and offer the same services to other People or if you have a product in mind and if you understand digital marketing, You can always sell that product using these skills right, but then you know it Again, I’m going I’m just going back to the first point of having to learn while There are so many courses paid courses out there, it’s not necessary to actually Buy a paid course there’s enough resources for free and, having said that, I mean I mean, and this is despite saying that, because we have our own course too- And and and we follow a very structured approach of how A person can learn Facebook and Instagram ads effectively and also we Teach them how and where to get clients, and you know about proposals and all of That right, So it depends what you want at the end of the day and how well you Are determined to be learning, and that would that that would be a decent start.

Saying, that your course that you launched recently in that course you’re. Basically sharing All of these things that you learnt over the years and you’re making it easy for The people who want to learn so that they can apply it very easily Yeah completely Because I didn’t know a lot of things, I didn’t work at an agency. I didn’t work. I Didn’t have a freelancer to guide me. I figured it out myself.

I compared Business models with other business models, with brands with with the Marketers, I I learned from a lot of different marketers, because one thing in Digital marketing people need to understand, is it’s okay, Learning a digital learning, digital marketing from a course from an Institute because they are teaching your basics, they’re teaching your Fundamentals, but when you learn from another marketer and I’m not just Putting myself on a pedestal, yeah, I’m just generally giving you my perspective.

If you learn from a marketer, you get a different point of view because It’s it’s at the end of the day, the job is very similar to like say a doctor. Right, If you and I have the same illness and we go to two different doctors – those Two doc doctors are going to have a different approach and give it and start And give us different prescriptions right and it’s the same thing with Marketing as well, you might have your approach and I might have my approach.

And they can be completely different and it’s okay to be completely different. But At the end of the day, you want to be learning from people who have tried. Tested those you know the and have tried, tested methods and learn from them. So Which is why I mean we are putting, in a few case, studies we’re putting in examples we’re telling people what to do, what not to do and also tell them what they can do.

Beginners guide to email marketing in Kartra – Send Kartra email, step by step – J.R. Fisher

That knows About these articles way before anybody else, because I can actually notify you When you do that super important all right, let’s jump right into this. Let’s Get into Kartra and let’s look at the way that we’re going to send emails. Inside a courtroom, I’m going to tell you I’ve been doing this since 2009. I’ve Used a lot of different pieces of software, then by far Kartra, does more For our business of anything else, when we switched over to character, we Actually cancelled eight different pieces of Software, because Kartra did all those things for us.

So if you’ve already got Kartra great, if you don’t there’s a link below you can read a article. It’s Free, you don’t need a credit card to read the article and once you’ve read The article, if you do want to get a trial of Kartra, you could actually get one for Just one dollar now before I started sending emails, I got Kartra all set up. And I’m going to tell you you want to do that. You know you want to.

You, know, set Up all your list in there, you want to establish your payment. Integrations. You Want to do all the stuff, then you need to do to set up your Kartra account. I’r Not covering that in this article we’re just covering emails, but I’m assuming That you’ve got all that done because you don’t want to send emails out if They click and they can’t go to a page and nothing works. Okay, so make sure you Get all that set up first now, once I did that, of course, I set up my pages where They could click on it and they actually goes to a page and there’s actually a Product there can they can actually buy that product, so you have to have that.

Done before you set up these emails because you’re going to have them, click and Go somewhere now now I say that, but that’s only if you built a big Kartra If you’re sending them to like a WordPress website or Magento or Shopify Then you don’t have to worry about that. You can just put that link in there and Send them to that page now you want to start with your leads. Okay, so before you Can even send an email and Kartra you need somebody to send it to somebody to Receive it, so you can upload those two Kartra and they have a little bit of A lag maybe a day or two before they’re actually going to approve them, but you can Just upload all your leads to Kartra and then don’t forget to tag them me.

They Even have different products, you have different businesses. I know I have a Couple different businesses in there, so we have those people categorized in There so the emails go out to the right people so make sure you’re setting up All your tags, you’ve tagged them properly, buyers, non-buyers people who Downloaded stuff, that’s like the thing, and you have all that set up first, that Way, you’ll have all that done.

When you go to send your email, you can send it. Based on those tags, cuz you’re going to need to do that now, if you need to Collect leads: you can also do that in Kartra, I’m not covering it in this article. I’r covered emails, but you can set up opt-in forms in Kartra and you can Actually start building your email list and once you build it and they opt-in in Kartra they automatically get put on list, so you don’t have to worry about That it’s an all maduk thing now before you send these Broadcasts before you send these emails make sure if you’re uploading, your own List then you do it at least a day or two in advance since they’re there, when You want to set it out because there is that lag before they actually go into The system now you may find this irritating and I get it, but it’s really Super important because Kartra is worried about deliverability and if they Don’t go through these lists and make sure they’re done properly.

Then your Emails aren’t going to get delivered, so we want to make sure that that is done. And they’re actually doing that for your benefit, I’m going to send a broadcast so The first thing I’m going to do is I’m going to go over to my campaign. So let’s Take a look at that real, quick, it’s on the left hand side and then you tap Campaigns at the very top of the page, and then you select broadcast below so You can see that there once on the correct page, I simply tap the green plus Button and that green plus button is going to be on every single one of your Kartra pages, when you’re starting out, so you know whether you’re building a Sales page whether you’re doing email sequences, whatever you’ll, always have That green plus button, so that’s where you want to start off there.

So then Kartra is going to take you to another page and it’s going to have your Automations, your send your schedule and all your finishes and all the things you Need to do let’s go over and take a look at that now I’m going to choose to send my Message through an actual email, you can also send it through an SMS, which means It’s going to go to people’s phones, you’re going to need to use something like Twilio Or next mo or troppo, or something like that and you’re going to have to Integrate it, if that’s what you’re going to do, the next part you’re going to come to Is the send from area? This is actually the email that they’re going to see that it Actually came from and should they respond, the laxing respond to this email.

Too, once you build your email list within Kartra, you can choose who it’s Going to go to you’re going to get this drop-down and you can choose, you know: All types of different things, if you don’t have your list really built that Much yet you want to send it to everybody in the database, then you’re Going to click and I’m going to show you on the screen here: real quick you’re going to Click where it says everybody in my database, but you can also click on, has Opened email has not opened email that type of thing now the cool thing is Kartra is actually going to tell you how many leads you selected once you did.

That so you’re going to know upfront how many people is going to go off to now. Here’s a screenshot of that it says five leads selected. Five emails filled in None of them are blocked and five total to sins. So before you send you’re going to Know how many emails going to actually go out now? The next thing you can do is A be split test, so you know you can have two different emails going out depending Upon what you want to send you know, maybe you want to test one message in One different message in the other one now will tell you when you’re, when You’re testing, you only want to test one variable, so maybe it’s the headline.

Because you’re trying to increase open rate, but the email is identical. If you If you change the headline and the email you’re not going to know, you know which Email is better if you have the same exact email in two different headlines: You’re going to know which headline got them to open it more than the other one. So make sure you do that now you can also toggle between basic and advanced Now, when you do that, that’s going to give you some different options that Don’t forget, you got ta, have links in those emails when you’re sending those Emails out the whole point is to get them to click and go somewhere and do Something whether it’s a download, whether it’s to read your blog, whether It’s to buy a product, so don’t forget to put those in every single email now, once You do about one email, then you do your other email, maybe changing the headline.

So that you can test the difference in those headlines now, if you go into the Advanced setting on these emails, you can actually change components like Templates for your emails in there in colors and backgrounds, and that type of Thing: here’s a screenshot of what that looks like and you see you have design Templates right there, you have full templates, my templates, so it gives you That added feature right there now here’s an example of one of the emails Here and some of the things that you can do with it and if you notice, you know, The font really stands out well here, because the background color is Different and you can do a lot more with it if you’re in the advanced now there Are schools of thought that say? Well, you know email should be basically should Look like every other email they get from their friends and that type of Thing we tend to use just black text on a white background and I’ll put some Images in there every now, but those seem to convert better for us.

Than anything else, these take a lot more time to build ones like this, but if That’s what you want to do. You can certainly do that in culture now, one Thing you want to be careful about, is don’t click the X or delete button, an Email editor, unlike building pages and other things, In Kartra, where you can just hit the go back button once you click, the lead is Gone, you can’t go back so you’re going to lose everything.

You worked on. I’ve Written my two e-mails: does that mean I can go ahead and send them now? No, not Quite because what we have to do now is decide what percent of these emails are? Going to go to one group versus the other group, the percent has to add up to 100 %, so you know, maybe you want 50/50 split. Maybe you’re really concerned that This one emails not going to do well, so you only want to put ten person in that Then you would put 90 percent the other one either way.

You’ve got to make that Decision at this point, what is the percentage of split now, if you’re, using Any type of dynamic variables – and what I mean by that is it changes each time an Email goes out, so I may have deer and then put it in first name right. There And it’s going to fill in John or Bob or Becky or whoever it is. When do you send Out your test, email, which you should every single time, it’s going to say, dear Test in that particular area right there, so keep that in mind now, once you play Around the park for a little bit and you see what an automation is you’re going to Understand that, but you got to get in there and kind of work with it a little Bit I know initially when I looked at it, I’m Like what the heck is that? What does that mean? But now I know it and I understand it so it just takes some time and don’t quit.

You know just keep working you’ll get this stuff. I know it seems foreign to You, but it only seems foreign to you cuz, you haven’t done it once you’ve done it. A few times it’s going to seem very commonplace, so number one I can set up. An automation to go out to people who have not opened my emails after a Hundred hours, okay, I can send them a whole different email that may make them More likely to open it, maybe I can change the subject line.

Do something Along those lines, so those automations are really helpful. For cleaning up your list and getting people to open your emails when they’re Not opening them now you can also break these into lists. So number two is: if a Lead has actually opened my email, I may add, Them to another list, because I know these people are interested in my Product or services now here’s an example right here: you don’t have to do.

This, but you probably should it’s a it’s a helpful way to further segment. Your Leads by setting up these automations, so you can see here. We’ve got a couple: Things set up early holiday, painting announcement within a hundred hours if You know the lead does not open that particular one then subscribe the lead. To the list ignored, email, okay and then we have some different emails that go Out on that, and then the second one says that lead opens email, early holiday, Painting announcement: okay, subscribe them to the list: open email, And then we can send them a different automation now, at this point, Everything’s set up, I can go ahead and get ready to send out my emails now.

The Cool thing with Kartra is: I can set it up to go out right now. I can schedule it. For another day now, keep in mind the way the time works in Kartra. It’s always Set on Eastern Standard Time, so if you’re in the West Coast like we are, we Are three hours behind them? So you know if I want to send an email at you know: 12:00 noon, I’m going to need to send it for 3:00 p.M. In the afternoon. It’s all going to be settled Eastern Time, so you can do that and the last Thing you can do is if you’re working on an email and you’re not ready to send it.

You want to do some more stuff to it. You can just save it as a draft. Now the cool Thing is once you’ve sent ten broadcast in Kartra. It will start to suggest to You the best time of day and week, a month of when to send out your emails. That’s a good overview on the emails. How to Use Facebook for Your Online Business

What’s up, How are ya Good, No surprise we’re going to Dive into Facebook today The book face But I also ( laughing ) The face book. It is your favorite right, It is my favorite No well, I don’t like To choose favorites So we’re talking about Facebook for your business – Maybe I just have a personal page and I’ve decided – maybe it’s Time to create a business page for my business right, What are kind of the First, steps that I need to really think about Well you’re, already, Off to a great start, You wan na go to a business page And that’s really important.

Because then, you get the ability to track metrics and analytics So absolutely business. Page over personal page And then from there You wan na make sure you set up your profile. Get that profile photo. Usually your logo works great or maybe, if it’s your personal brand use a great headshot of yourself and then take that cover photo to really showcase your Products or your services and then from there make Sure all your information is up to date And that Is really important? Your hours, your website, Your phone number 100 % And make sure that lines up with your Google And your Yelp listings too Right I went into a coffee shop recently I Was in northern California, You drink a lot of coffee, ( laughing ), It’s true And the cashier was looking At me, like I don’t know like, maybe she wanted to rush me and I’m thinking they’re Open for two more hours, what’s the deal, ( laughing ) Sure enough, they were Closing in five minutes I go, but your Facebook says and I wanted to Go into my spiel like this, but I saved it got a quick Coffee to go fortunately, but that’s the whole point.

I left with a customer experience that wasn’t as ideal And then onto probably one of the largest most impactful components: content Right, always preach Quality over quantity Yeah, so you definitely Want to make sure you vary your content, So mix it up. You know you don’t Wan na become predictable; Okay, And you also don’t want to turn into just a business always talking about yourself right. It becomes so salesy.

When it’s always about me, me me So salesy me me me: yeah, Buy this, buy that Yeah sell, sell, sell; Rather you want to Tell tell tell Exactly ( laughing ) Throw something out there. That’s entertaining I mean social media is escapism. Oh yeah, Throw in a good laugh But also educate me, So I always tell my friends: That I follow my dentist on Facebook and they look At me, like I’m crazy, Why right What And it’s because my dentist Shares really educational tips and tricks like how to whiten my teeth without spending hundreds of dollars.

I saw also my yoga studio was just giving a friendly Reminder to stretch how to maintain the zen, which Is really important in life? Absolutely Also, sharing testimonials that you’ve already Received on Yelp and Google and turning it into a Facebook post Right repurpose that content Take that review. Let’s Say it went on about your your ice cream, you’re an ice cream shop, And the review goes on about How you have the best flavors, but the ultimate flavor Is definitely rocky road, Absolutely Yeah, it’s the best Hands down.

So you have that review that the customer went on About your rocky road ice cream and then use Canva or Something and in the background of that review and select A picture of the rocky road on a nice ice cream cone. It really brings it to life. For those of you that don’t know, Canva is a free website that Has all sorts of templates and kits and graphics For literally all things that you could possibly create Like social media templates, Facebook headers all that Good stuff and it’s free – I use it pretty religiously, Also article, So I’m a huge advocate, Of article I love article Just keep it on the shorter Side, attention spans are short Seems like under two minutes: Or so under three minutes Yeah.

Definitely I would even a minute is good and also doing behind the scenes footage. That’s one of my favorite things about following local businesses is like well, I wan na know how This all comes together And showcase your staff And also repurpose anything your customers take User generated content And I think what gets A lot of people hung up on, creating article is, maybe they don’t have a production set like we do right, (, laughing ) And that’s okay.

Our smart phones are Pretty darn good right, Yeah they’re, pretty smart, Take a article with your phone and even it doesn’t have To be the best quality Go behind the scenes. People like that story like to see the other side of things, and it really helps them. Relate to who you are as a business owner You’re, not just some faceless company. So next up we have these groups. Can you tell us a little Bit about what the Facebook groups are and how I can potentially leverage It as a business owner Yeah, so definitely Encourage you to pay attention to other like-minded Businesses, but also groups to piggy back off the Engagement, you already have, I will say, content is Where you wan na spend most of your time, but Groups can be an advantage to getting your business More exposure for sure, So next up we have advertising.

What do we do with the Paid advertising aspect Yeah, so it’s no secret. Facebook has gone on Record to say organic reach is on ( whistling ) the decline Don’t give up on it. Organic content is still Alive and well and breathing, but I think Facebook posts that you boost has a lot of potential and you Can reach a targeted audience, which is one of favorite things about it? You can start off with like five bucks and you can get in front Of a specific demographic age group, zip codes and That way, you know your post is going to reach the right people And with I would kinda Look at the post that maybe have done the best And then boost those and get those that reach out.

That’s a really good point. Thank you for bringing that up. It’s usually ( laughing ) Wait you’re the expert ( laughing ) I dabble So with Facebook. It’s you wan na go ahead and let the post that you’re Doing hang out organically for a little bit, Let it chill see how it Does garner some reach Now once it garners some Reach then boost it, That’s what we found to work best While a lot of people. I Speak to think, there’s no way to track this to ROI.

That’s a total myth. You can actually go ahead and look at it’s called your insights tab and it breaks down everything. You know what your audience is liking engaging with. Are they Clicking on the links, what time of day they’re doing this, and when you look at all of that and really understand it, the insights you can truly be informed about. Where do I go from here right Like? Where do I go from When it comes to which days work best to post, what Time of day works best Does my audience prefer The entertaining posts more than the educational And on which days And from there you can truly Come up with a great strategy, What happens if I’m not Getting maybe the engagement that I want? Are there any like, like Just great pro tips or boosts that I can do to help me.

Just skyrocket and get in front of those people Yes, Contests: Okay, how so So recently, I saw this cafe that had a special music guest coming in and they encouraged their Audience on the Facebook post, which is like promoting the music, Okay, yeah Comment below and tag a friend and then they’re going to do a random drawing, and it’s like two free Tickets to the show That quick little tag, A friend now becomes just free advertisement for you and it’s costing you a couple tickets or maybe a free, drink or free burger.

Exactly Or whatever you do, You could also ask a question: What is your “ go, to” order when You come into our restaurant Or, what’s you favorite thing on the menu and your favorite person to dine with, And so it’s your customers Spreading word of mouth about what’s great to eat So on Twitter and Instagram Hashtags are super relevant, but I don’t always see It as often on Facebook Are they a thing.

Absolutely I mean here’s the thing when it comes to using hashtags Whether it’s on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook, Or if you’re just posting either way you got ta monitor it, because it’s going to be Different for each business, It doesn’t hurt to use Them just be mindful and use relevant, hashtags Perfect and probably only one or two Don’t go overboard. Just a few Yeah, you don’t need to go overboard.

I guess the one crazy thing is is that when you see a lot of the articles or see people coming online, you see the success they’re having it’s a very small percentage of people that are there having success with that.

There’s really one thing that they’re doing and you can and you can see it in their marketing. You can see in their business. You can see what they do online now. One thing is going to be consistency: okay, it’s what you do on a daily basis and I know you’ve probably heard of consistency before and you or maybe having before. But consistency is just doing small little things over and over again every day, no matter what and that’s what separates people that are going to have success and people that aren’t going to have success.

And if you’re wanting to have success online, you want to have a business going and you want to get it up and running. Consistency on a daily basis is going to be you’re single, most thing: it’s going to help you propel to the next level. You know how many times did we’re on Facebook, and you see somebody there promoting something and then, like two weeks later, they got something new they’re promoting and then you know a month later, they’re promoting something else and there’s just there’s no consistency with it and it Shows up, and it just looks, doesn’t look right and that’s what happens.

Is a lot of people do that and they bounce around from bounce around something a thing and they never really get anything going and I’m not even talking about consistency and one thing to your marketing: I’ve talking about consistency in your marketing in general. So, every day, there’s certain things that you you have to do and everything you have to do online. It’s going to be number one, creating value for other people.

You have to get out there and you have to create value for the people in order to people to attract to your business online, whatever it is, and your business online has a certain. You know it has a certain solution to somebody’s problem. This and this could be an affiliate marketing if you go to you know if you’re going to get into Clickbank, and you find an offer that you like that’s, going to be in the fitness niche right, that has high gravity and people are making money with it.

You want to promote that you’re solving a problem, you’re solving a problem that somebody has somebody, that’s overweight, something! That’s that’s not happy with themselves. Somebody wants to lose weight. Somebody wants to look, look better and feel better. You take that clickbank offer and you put that in front of them. That is a solution to their problem, but you have to get people to you know: you’d have to get out there and create value first in order to people to really understand what it is that your solution is that you’re trying to solve the way you can Do that is you can do it with youtube articles like this? You can do with blog posts.

You can do it with reaching out to people on Facebook. You can find people on Facebook that are that. That would be interested in your products or services reach out to them on a daily basis, but the consistency comes like this is every day you have to do things so, for me, I’d do a article every day. I’ve been doing this for the last eight months. I haven’t missed a day and I’d. Do it all the time, and you know my I was I used to not really have the discipline to do that.

I started my youtube blog way back in 2011 and I remember at that time I was going to be consistent with my articles and I there was a few times along that path. Where I jumped into YouTube articles – and I would do some and then a couple weeks later – I would be going on to the next thing and I’d used to do this for a long time. The thing about creating consistency within something that you do. It opens up a lot of other disciplines in your online business and in order to really get it going and succeed like with these articles, you have to have a lot of value out there on the internet, because there’s so many people out there that are creating Value and you have to stand out and you got to really push to the next level and get your your value out there I mean with you know: if you have an Instagram page, you got a post every day.

Maybe you post two or three times a day. It’s got to be consistent now the thing is, with consistency also comes this mindset of your mind. That starts playing tricks on you. It starts to tell you that what you’re doing is not it’s not good or it’s. You know go, try something else and you get sidetracked and you start working on different things that aren’t going to really help you succeed. So, if you’re, if you’re creating articles every day for the first three or four months, if you created articles, nobody’s going to read your articles, there’s going to be likely one or two people are going to read your articles.

So you have to come out the next day, knowing that nobody’s going to read your articles, but the great thing about YouTube is that your articles stay inside of YouTube forever. So people could come back and read your articles that you created two years ago. So consistency is going to help you stand out. I remember you know Casey nice dad he’s a huge YouTube or online and he was. He was telling a story that the first five years, I guess on his YouTube blog.

He acquired five hundred thousand subscribers, which is huge. Then he said, and he was he was posting a YouTube article, maybe once a week, maybe maybe once every two weeks, okay and he required 500,000 subscribers. He said that he started posting every day. You know a article. Every day, and then that next year after the fifth year so was six year, he acquired 500,000 more subscribers to his YouTube blog.

What did he do? He just became consistent. He came became more consistent in his articles. You can do the same thing if you’re doing a blog, it has to be consistent over and over and over again, you look at John Chow John Chow calm. His consistency with blogging was, you know, he’s making millions of dollars now, but he talks about his first. Eight months of blogging, nobody came to his blog. Nobody was there, nobody bought his.

You know nobody clicked on his affiliate links. Nobody was even there, but after eight months he started to start seeing some money coming in and now he’s. You know he’s like eight years into blogging and he makes a million dollars a year because of all those blogs that he’s created in the past and he was consistent every day and he still does it every day. So daily consistency is going to be your key to success.

Doesn’t matter what platform you’re Adam you could be on Facebook, but it has to be something that you create value to. You know if you go and – and you you know – are commenting on people’s. You know. If you’re not really creating value on certain social media platforms, then you’re, not that’s, not consistency so like liking. People’s posts on Facebook is not being consistent. That’s not creating value, but if you create a post that helps somebody in a certain way, if they’ve they want to learn about marketing and you create a article on how to create marketing and you put it up there, you create value for somebody.

Now people are going to be interested in what it is that you have to offer so consistency every day. So what I want you to do is sit down with yourself and I want you to say: okay, I’m going to do something every day. One thing: just one thing: I’m going to do every day it can be make a article, it could be create a blog post. It could be. You know, reach out to ten people on Facebook, new new people on Facebook.

Anything like that. Every day you have to do it and it has to be done. You know three months into it when nobody responded to you nobody’s reading your articles nobody’s looking at your blog nobody’s getting back to you. You have to step up the next day and continue to do it because, eventually, what’s going to happen, is just it’s going to start the snowball it’s going to start to eventually pick up, I used to grow up in Ohio and when we used to make snowman You have to you know you snowman, have the the big big giant you know base, but in order to get that base going, you had to pack really tight snow and then you had to you had to work it right.

You had to work it in the snow and eventually it started to roll and roll and roll and become easier and easier. But at the beginning of packing that little tiny snowball you had to pack it tight and you had to really push into that snowball and then eventually it started to go, and then you have this giant. You know this giant snowball that you’ve all you can do you just you can just like roll it and it’ll just cumulate, bigger and bigger and bigger, but to get it started, you had to really work it.

You had to work at heart. That’s what you’re going to do on a consistent daily basis, alright, so find one thing and just stick with it: just do it every day. If you want to do other things, and you want to you know, you know start one thing and stop with it. Another thing: that’s fine, but just one thing you’re going to do every day you have to be consistent with and you have to you know I used to get over and over and over again show up and you will be successful.

How to Select the Right Keywords I Free Google Adwords Training

So there are tools available to find appropriate keywords. There’s a lot of different tools online that you can use. Google has what’s called their keyword planner. It’s right in Google’s under tools and settings here you come over here to planning and you can use the keyword planner and you can find keyword and AD group ideas.

You can get suggested budgets and you can find you know, search volume and forecast as well. So a lot of times we’ll be searching for a specific keyword or we’ll think. Oh, look. This keywords going to generates a lot of results. It gets a lot of activity, but then later we find out like the search volume, there’s some very low. So you can get all this information using the Google Keyword, planner right under tools and settings here.

So, let’s review the four targeted keyword, matching options to control which queries trigger hats. There’s four keyword match types that are important for you to really understand. If you don’t understand the different types of keyword match types, then you will burn that budget. I’m telling you you will lose money, I’ve seen people, you know waste tens of thousands of dollars just because you know they didn’t understand the difference between broad match and exact match.

Local Google loves Google and, if you’re in business, particularly if you have a local business and you aren’t taking advantage of what Google is doing on the local level in your area, you are missing out.
