How to Use YouTube for Successful Digital Marketing

What’s that, On average YouTube has over 1 billion mobile views a day and on top of that 300 hours worth of article Uploaded in a minute That is incredible, sounds Like a ton of competition, but you can break through, But let’s talk about why Youtube is so important, starting with why we should use YouTube.

Video content is effective, I mean I’m sure you’ve been on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter Whatever you use you’re scrolling along You’re on YouTube right now On YouTube and you’ve caught a article and you get lost in it right. You spend two three 15. 20 Hours, whatever you’re doing The rabbit hole And you’re reading that content, So you already know article is effective, So what’s also cool about YouTube, it helps you build a community And think about it when it Comes to marketing your brand! If you get a large group behind you, that’s sustainable for more success.

Growing, more word-of-mouth! Growing, your business And another thing to keep In mind about YouTube, they are really all about the Subscribe that is key to growing your community, so, while you’re at it go ahead and subscribe to our blog By publishing quality articles really interacting with your followers, it’s really going to foster that community that you were Talking about and make them eager to Wan na share your articles with people that they know And having a loyal audience provides unlimited opportunities to grow and market your products And Emma you talked about mobile in the very beginning.

With that incredible stat YouTube is mobile-friendly. So all those articles look great on mobile And, if you’re not producing Content for that platform, you’re alienating a large population, So I know you’re Asking yourself at home: how do you make money on YouTube? Have you ever heard of the Youtube Partner Program Back in January of 2018 They changed their policy and the policy was all about how you actually can Earn revenue on YouTube Yeah and it’s important to note that you actually have to apply to be a part of this Program and be accepted, So not only is there An application for this, but there’s also a minimum with who is eligible for this as well.

So let’s go through that, Starting with ensuring that you follow the program’s guidelines that you live in a certain country and your blog has over 4,000 public read hours in the last 12 months Also have more than 1,000 subscribers and make sure your account Is linked to Google AdSense, So let’s talk about AdSense and how you can actually Earn money with it So YouTube is a subsidiary of Google and AdSense is a product of Google? That’s how it allows you To make money on YouTube, So these are the ads That pop up on your article, It’s estimated that creators can make anywhere from $ 3 to $ 10 per 1,000 viewer engagements So with some simple math.

If you have 10,000 views on your articles, you can make at least $ 300, Okay, so Nealey. What About YouTube Premium, Because they’re not being shown ads, so if they’re not being shown ads, how is anyone making money Yeah that makes sense? So YouTube actually gives a percentage to those creators based on things like read: Time and viewer engagement, So I would add the Channel Membership feature – and this is a great way to Offer incentives and rewards for people who are tuning In to your blog or becoming a monthly Viewer or subscriber Yeah, it’s just like Patreon.

Basically, So you can also sell products. From your Merchandise Shelf, So if you live in one of The approved countries and have over 10,000 subscribers you can show up to 12 products from your Teespring merch page. Also, I’d recommend enabling The Super Chat function,’cause. What it allows users to do is have their actual Comments pinned to the top, which is pretty cool, Yeah, it’s just like Twitch.

You can also produce sponsored articles Now. What this is is Another brand or company paying you to promote Them on your own article, much like a micro-celebrity Yeah totally and be sure To follow the FTC guidelines and think about your Audience keep them in mind. You don’t wan na just go promotion, crazy,,’cause! Then, if you’re just constantly promoting your content, you’re going to maybe lose That engagement with them So keep them in mind.

They’re Following you for a reason, stick with that, what is it? That they would wan na see What a lot of other Youtubers are doing now on top of all this or, if they don’t even Meet those requirements to join the program, for example, is they’ll, sell their own stuff, They may link off to their own, say, Etsy store or WordPress site or whatever they’re selling Their eCommerce items on and then just promote those So Emma.

If you had your Own YouTube, blog and you were going to sell Something what would that be Jokes, You’re, not getting any money, ( laughs, )! Well, I’m thinking about when you sell on YouTube. I have, for example, a lot of cool vintage pieces, but do you do that on YouTube? Would I showcase the Vintage pieces that I have in a YouTube article and sell it Well for a lot of people, you’re directing them.

Off to another source, Now some people will do That for affiliate marketing – maybe they have affiliates with Amazon and they say “ Cool. Here’s All the equipment I used to create this article,” and link off. Oh, that makes sense. Okay, Or here’s some cool swag of my shirt with my face on it, whatever that looks like For sale, You can use those other revenue, Streams to get that money, So speaking of making money on YouTube, I know I like to think about.

How to make more money so we’re going to talk about Branding marketing and SEO to help you make more money on YouTube Yeah, so getting into Those programs are nice, but you really wan na create a sustainable income and Revenue streams right So let’s talk through a Couple ways to do that: Let’s do it So first off you wan na think about how can you build an engaged following build your audience right And a lot of times I think of first, what’s going to make them unsubscribe just to keep in mind, don’t do That, but also how frequent you should post, I give the same advice with social media.

If you’re only posting Once every three months I’m going to unfollow you There’s nothing there. You got ta, give me something of value. You got ta, keep me tuned in And so think about the frequency and what you’re putting out there when it comes to building your audience, You will also wan na optimize. Your article and your blog, So this is everything From the logo you use that header, you use that trailer, that 30 60 basically ad spot to promote you and your business.

When someone comes to your blog, the titles, you use It’s going to take a lot of research, but it’s definitely worth it because these first impressions last Yeah and it’s so meticulous right. I mean think about how Much time we’ve spent just on the thumbnails, with our articles Too long, Too long I’d also encourage you to think about how to market your brand and your article off of YouTube so cross-promote.

One thing we do is we Take the YouTube articles and we cross-promote them Over to Facebook or Instagram Yeah, we’ll maybe get A condensed version since Instagram takes a minute and says link in the bio Right change the link Links off back to YouTube where they can see the entire article and, if they’re, not a Subscriber they can subscribe, But we would recommend not to put all your eggs in one basket.

So don’t make YouTube your only thing. Remember: MySpace and Vine They’re gone. What happens if YouTube is gone? It’s not likely, but it’s really good to Diversify your attention on all these different Platforms just in case So while these tips Have definitely taught you how to be successful on YouTube. I got ta be honest with you. We have only scratched the surface so be sure to subscribe. To take a deeper dive on YouTube and other platforms, That’s a wrap Like this article.

How to Use Facebook for Your Online Business

What’s up, How are ya Good, No surprise we’re going to Dive into Facebook today The book face But I also ( laughing ) The face book. It is your favorite right, It is my favorite No well, I don’t like To choose favorites So we’re talking about Facebook for your business – Maybe I just have a personal page and I’ve decided – maybe it’s Time to create a business page for my business right, What are kind of the First, steps that I need to really think about Well you’re, already, Off to a great start, You wan na go to a business page And that’s really important.

Because then, you get the ability to track metrics and analytics So absolutely business. Page over personal page And then from there You wan na make sure you set up your profile. Get that profile photo. Usually your logo works great or maybe, if it’s your personal brand use a great headshot of yourself and then take that cover photo to really showcase your Products or your services and then from there make Sure all your information is up to date And that Is really important? Your hours, your website, Your phone number 100 % And make sure that lines up with your Google And your Yelp listings too Right I went into a coffee shop recently I Was in northern California, You drink a lot of coffee, ( laughing ), It’s true And the cashier was looking At me, like I don’t know like, maybe she wanted to rush me and I’m thinking they’re Open for two more hours, what’s the deal, ( laughing ) Sure enough, they were Closing in five minutes I go, but your Facebook says and I wanted to Go into my spiel like this, but I saved it got a quick Coffee to go fortunately, but that’s the whole point.

I left with a customer experience that wasn’t as ideal And then onto probably one of the largest most impactful components: content Right, always preach Quality over quantity Yeah, so you definitely Want to make sure you vary your content, So mix it up. You know you don’t Wan na become predictable; Okay, And you also don’t want to turn into just a business always talking about yourself right. It becomes so salesy.

When it’s always about me, me me So salesy me me me: yeah, Buy this, buy that Yeah sell, sell, sell; Rather you want to Tell tell tell Exactly ( laughing ) Throw something out there. That’s entertaining I mean social media is escapism. Oh yeah, Throw in a good laugh But also educate me, So I always tell my friends: That I follow my dentist on Facebook and they look At me, like I’m crazy, Why right What And it’s because my dentist Shares really educational tips and tricks like how to whiten my teeth without spending hundreds of dollars.

I saw also my yoga studio was just giving a friendly Reminder to stretch how to maintain the zen, which Is really important in life? Absolutely Also, sharing testimonials that you’ve already Received on Yelp and Google and turning it into a Facebook post Right repurpose that content Take that review. Let’s Say it went on about your your ice cream, you’re an ice cream shop, And the review goes on about How you have the best flavors, but the ultimate flavor Is definitely rocky road, Absolutely Yeah, it’s the best Hands down.

So you have that review that the customer went on About your rocky road ice cream and then use Canva or Something and in the background of that review and select A picture of the rocky road on a nice ice cream cone. It really brings it to life. For those of you that don’t know, Canva is a free website that Has all sorts of templates and kits and graphics For literally all things that you could possibly create Like social media templates, Facebook headers all that Good stuff and it’s free – I use it pretty religiously, Also article, So I’m a huge advocate, Of article I love article Just keep it on the shorter Side, attention spans are short Seems like under two minutes: Or so under three minutes Yeah.

Definitely I would even a minute is good and also doing behind the scenes footage. That’s one of my favorite things about following local businesses is like well, I wan na know how This all comes together And showcase your staff And also repurpose anything your customers take User generated content And I think what gets A lot of people hung up on, creating article is, maybe they don’t have a production set like we do right, (, laughing ) And that’s okay.

Our smart phones are Pretty darn good right, Yeah they’re, pretty smart, Take a article with your phone and even it doesn’t have To be the best quality Go behind the scenes. People like that story like to see the other side of things, and it really helps them. Relate to who you are as a business owner You’re, not just some faceless company. So next up we have these groups. Can you tell us a little Bit about what the Facebook groups are and how I can potentially leverage It as a business owner Yeah, so definitely Encourage you to pay attention to other like-minded Businesses, but also groups to piggy back off the Engagement, you already have, I will say, content is Where you wan na spend most of your time, but Groups can be an advantage to getting your business More exposure for sure, So next up we have advertising.

What do we do with the Paid advertising aspect Yeah, so it’s no secret. Facebook has gone on Record to say organic reach is on ( whistling ) the decline Don’t give up on it. Organic content is still Alive and well and breathing, but I think Facebook posts that you boost has a lot of potential and you Can reach a targeted audience, which is one of favorite things about it? You can start off with like five bucks and you can get in front Of a specific demographic age group, zip codes and That way, you know your post is going to reach the right people And with I would kinda Look at the post that maybe have done the best And then boost those and get those that reach out.

That’s a really good point. Thank you for bringing that up. It’s usually ( laughing ) Wait you’re the expert ( laughing ) I dabble So with Facebook. It’s you wan na go ahead and let the post that you’re Doing hang out organically for a little bit, Let it chill see how it Does garner some reach Now once it garners some Reach then boost it, That’s what we found to work best While a lot of people. I Speak to think, there’s no way to track this to ROI.

That’s a total myth. You can actually go ahead and look at it’s called your insights tab and it breaks down everything. You know what your audience is liking engaging with. Are they Clicking on the links, what time of day they’re doing this, and when you look at all of that and really understand it, the insights you can truly be informed about. Where do I go from here right Like? Where do I go from When it comes to which days work best to post, what Time of day works best Does my audience prefer The entertaining posts more than the educational And on which days And from there you can truly Come up with a great strategy, What happens if I’m not Getting maybe the engagement that I want? Are there any like, like Just great pro tips or boosts that I can do to help me.

Just skyrocket and get in front of those people Yes, Contests: Okay, how so So recently, I saw this cafe that had a special music guest coming in and they encouraged their Audience on the Facebook post, which is like promoting the music, Okay, yeah Comment below and tag a friend and then they’re going to do a random drawing, and it’s like two free Tickets to the show That quick little tag, A friend now becomes just free advertisement for you and it’s costing you a couple tickets or maybe a free, drink or free burger.

Exactly Or whatever you do, You could also ask a question: What is your “ go, to” order when You come into our restaurant Or, what’s you favorite thing on the menu and your favorite person to dine with, And so it’s your customers Spreading word of mouth about what’s great to eat So on Twitter and Instagram Hashtags are super relevant, but I don’t always see It as often on Facebook Are they a thing.

Absolutely I mean here’s the thing when it comes to using hashtags Whether it’s on Twitter or Instagram or Facebook, Or if you’re just posting either way you got ta monitor it, because it’s going to be Different for each business, It doesn’t hurt to use Them just be mindful and use relevant, hashtags Perfect and probably only one or two Don’t go overboard. Just a few Yeah, you don’t need to go overboard.

This has been The Journey. Thank you. So much for reading Make sure to like and comment. Below subscribe to know when our next articles are coming atcha and we are signing off

Okay. Thank you. An are so I’m very glad to see you all today, thanks for being here, and so let’s get started it so the topic of today’s been is Google Analytics how to understand the data correctly. So today we are going to give you an introduction to Google Analytics. We are going to show you how to support the set up goals in Google Analytics, how to understand the principle metrics of Google Analytics and how to integrate webmaster tools and Google Analytics account.

Also, we are going to give you another view of top eight Google Analytics custom reports. These are powerful reports that will be able to give your more insight in short time and will help you on this better understand what is going on with your online business. So, first of all, why should businesses use google analytics, because Google Analytics has such a great amount of data, which shows are virtually every bit of your online marketing campaign? So, by looking at Google Analytics data data, you can find out the big place find out about week places of your online project.

Are you can improve your strategy? You can see what is working on your website and what is not, and, of course, based on this. You can make more well-grounded decisions about the future strategy, so in order to get the most of Google Analytics data, we would advise you to customize the account to your business needs. How can it be done? First of all, you may set up goals in Google Analytics. So what how does Google Analytics consider goals? A goal could be defined is a critical event for your business, which occurs during the user visit on the website, and such critical event should somehow contribute to your generate to your overall income.

Somehow it should help to generate it should help. You generate this income, so in Google Analytics all goals would be divided in four groups: its URL destination, gold diamond side, go pages per visit goal and an event go. So let’s look to them way in detail. The first type of goal is URL destination goal. So let’s take the case are, for example, we are showing you the example from promoter are, so we think that when the visitor, when the user visits the about Us page, it is critical for us, because it shows some kind of user intention to interact with our Company, so how what should we do that we copy this URL and unset and put it into the set in the goal into the goal settings? We want Google Analytics to report in conversion every time when the user visits this page.

So how should we do this? We navigate judging panel in Google Analytics account choose the profile for which you would like to create the goal, and then we in the gold tab. We click, create a goal. Here. We paste this URL. Please stay the attention that we paste. Only this part, which goes up to the delay name and then we may sit up also a value for this goal. A value is set up for non e-commerce goals and if you have any way, if you know any way how you can indirectly to calculate the value of this goal, you can set up it here.

Also, please note that you can set up one URL, exact URL and that will be option equals to you or you can choose to other options. For example, it could be begins with. It means that, after the of up to this about us URL, any other characters could be appended so more variations of URL and the most flexible variant is regular expressions with the regular expressions you can build some patterns of URLs, which could be defined as gold trigger Regular expression is the most flexible, but a little bit tricky part.

So we advise you to read google’s regular expression guide to find out hi to how to make the use of them are so so a little bit more examples of URL destination goals. You can set up as this goal any page in the URL which indicates the process completion. For example, it could be confirmation page when the user has sign up for your email newsletter, or it could be check out page indicating that the user has made has made a purchase and so on.

Now we are moving to the next type offer a goal. Is time on site goal? So let’s take the case or that you have a large content website and you are interested that the visitors stays on your website as much time as possible. Then you can tell Google Analytics to show the conversion when the user stays on the website more, where more than a definite period of time are so you set up more than in the goal, our settings, and then you can track this type of conversions.

There is another situation when this type of goal can be used. For example, it is support customer support web sites in this case website owner is interested that the user gets the answer as quickly as possible, and then he interested that the user spends the list of the top of the time on this side. In this case, he might are set up less than time period of time and track this kind of goal, the next kind of goal, the third one we just brew visit goal.

It slightly reminds us the previous one, because it also can be used to measure user engagement with your website. So, for example, you are interested that the user visits as much pages per visit as possible because in these case he might see as many banner ads boot on your website as possible and you will get more income. So our in this case you set up it. A definite number of pages viewed per visit should trigger a conversion for your website, and now we have come to the last type of goal.

It’s an event goal an event. Called different kinds of event may occur on your website. For example, ebook download it free trial account created software downloaded. In all these cases, you may ask Google Analytics to show the conversion when such event takes place, how to do that. You need to sit up or an event. You need previously to set up what you consider to be in event on your website and then feeling this fills in the goals that are sitting up and event a little bit more challenging than sitting up and other types of Google’s.

So we would advise you to go to the Google Analytics event tracking guide to find out how to do this more in detail. So now we are finished with goals and der how to wait to look for gold completion information actually goal. Completion information is shown in Lenny Lenny reports in Google Analytics, but there is also a separate section which shows specifically this information, so you’re, just on the Left panel of book of your Google Analytics account you navigate to the conversion section select over you a suit and Seal this kind of information, so you can see how many goals on which are for which pages had been completed.

You can see the source, the medial are also information for these metrics and if you click view full report, you can access this kind of information. What is great that you can see the gold value if you, if you set up a value for your goal, for example, as I shown as I showed a gold value for URL destination, and also you can choose secondary dimension, for example, which goal has been visited, Which page has been visited before this? Our goal has been completed.

Why why it is possible? Because in one goal you can set up, you can set up a set of goals, and this said one set of goal may contain several and other goals a little bit more, a little bit smaller goals. So now, when we have set up our goals for our Google Analytics, there is another way how we can customize our account. We can also set up ecommerce tracking, so white. Setting up ecommerce dragon is helpful because it allows you to allows you to track your business outcome.

Of course, you may say that you have special software accounting software, which allows you to do the same thing, but what is great about Google Analytics is that you can associate the revenue you receive with the traffic sources which contributed to this revenue. So with this information, you can answer the question: who gets the credit which sources are worth to invest more and which are not so how does the top ecommerce straighten the first step? You should enable a chemist raking in your profile settings again.

Navigate to admin panel. Choose the profile and then choose profile statuses here you just simply need to state yes and e-commerce website. The step this step number two is to embed Google Analytics tracking code to some page, which contains transaction details. For example, it could be receipt page. The code in this case will look like this. This is a model, a pattern. There are required fields and enough, and some optional fills.

If you take a real life example with real day day about transaction, are the Google Analytics code will be looking something like this? Ah, so after you have set up the e-commerce tracking, you also see the data about about these processes in your Google Analytics account navigate to the conversion section and select ecommerce there. You will be able to see sources of the traffic and revenue which they generate.

It very convenient and very useful. Also you will be able to see. For example, if you look at the products section, you will be able to see quantity sold, unique purchases, product revenue as well as average price. All of these can be again associated with the traffic sources, which is like very, very helpful for your case. Good news that if your website is non ecommerce, you still can track the seal with the help of e-commerce tricking you in this case, you will just need to make a little some little tweaks in Google Analytics code.

You can set up constant value for some required fields, which you do not have in your case and track only the purchase amount. So in this case you will be able to make the use of this fabulous future as well. So after we have customized our google analytics account, we may start to look into the reports. What are the principal metrics and how to understand them. So the first one, the first one is visits visits I used to measure traffic volume, so it is varied.

So that’s why it is a very important metric. Usually, businesses are interested in receiving as high number of target visits to the website as possible. So by measuring visits number visas. Are you can understand how successful your online marketing campaign is? You can compare traffic volume of different periods of time, and you can see which days at the most popular days, are among your site visitors and find out whether your business is seasonal.

All this information could be used for your future marketing strategy and your future marketing steps. So this is how the traffic volume is displayed in Google Analytics by number of daily wheezes pageviews. It’s another Google Analytics metric and it could be defined as an instance of a page being lauded by a browser. It is also the case when a Google Analytics tracking code is executed on your page page.

Yours are helpful. Of course. Are they help to understand how the user is engaged with your website content and how this content is relevant to the user needs very frequently when you will be looking at page views metric, you may also see a unique a geometric. The difference is that just the page geometric, it contains repeated use of a single page, while the unique page view at rukh doesn’t contain this information, only our unique pageviews, so the pitch to use information you can see, for example, in the content section on the left Panel, you navigate to site content all pages and you can see which features of your website receives the most based years, so it it may mean that these pagers give the most relevant information to the users, for example, and you may enhance them more to receive more Resist and also you can find out, which pages receive the list of page views, and probably there is some user, some usability issues on these pages and and you need to improve them more and now.

The last magic which we would like to talk about is traffic sources. Traffic sources is a very, very powerful metric because it’s what you should be looking at if you are running your online marketing campaign, for example, traffic sources is helpful to analyze, oh by comparing different traffic sources, for example um. If you compare a different traffic sources, you can see what I, what is the best performing traffic source, where you can invest more and which traffic source probably is underrated, and also you can see what is working in your marketing campaign and what is not.

So all traffic sources in Google Analytics is divided in three sections. It is direct traffic referrals and search. Are you can see the whole traffic overview in Google Analytics under the indy traffic sources section under overview here? You can see all these sources and which sources has driven the biggest number of visits, for example, and then you may proceed to. I consider the each traffic source separately because it’s very very helpful, so a direct check if it represents visitors who arrived at your website by clicking on the bookmark or by typing the URL directly into their browser.

So this is how the direct traffic report looks like in Google Analytics. It shows landing pages at which users arrived. It shows how many visits there they received as well as number of pages viewed per visit, average visit duration, new visits and bounce rate about bounce rate. Bounce rate is very poor, powerful metric, but we will cover it a little bit more in detail later. So how to type this information with the goals? Conversion simply navigate to advert panel above the chart above the graph and select any of the goals set so, for example, goals at one.

Then you will be able to see that this particular kind of for traffic source contributed to this percent of gold conversion. Then we proceed to the next type of the traffic. It is referral. Traffic referral traffic is very a large part. It may be a very large part of your website traffic, so it’s important to consider it in detail. It includes any of that sources that link to your website. It could be websites with your banner ads.

It could be links from blocks, it could be affiliate program. Links and many many other example, so why it’s useful to measure referral traffic because you can figure out what websites sent you the most traffic? Oh and what landing pages users at what landing pages users arrive when they are sent by this referral by these referrals and also you can find out how users interact with the page content that you show them.

So referrals report could be obtained also in the traffic sources. Section are under referrals, so here you can see. As in our example, you can see different sources of traffic which refer to our website, how many visits they generated and whether these visits were relevant or not. Whether the content, which we show to the user relevant or not to them, we can see with the help of bounce rate, of course, sometimes it might be not to not to see just the domain which referred to your website.

You may also want to see which beach is referred to. Your are to your website. For example, you posted a link or on some 40, and you would like to know not the domain name but exact, the exact URL, which is right to your website, which, which post worked. So it has worked. So in this case, you click on any domain name in the previous chart in the previous table, and you will be taken to so-called referral that they will be seeing on URLs, which directly refer to your website and again, all other metrics.

Witches are relevant to this information search engine traffic. So, if you are, if you are running an ACO campaign or if you are running and paid search campaign, you should be looking exactly at this. Our traffic source search engine traffic is divided in two parts: organic and paid. So if you run, both type of campaigns are be careful to distinguish them to stand, consider them separately so search engine traffic analysis helps to find what our search engines broke.

The best for your case, what keywords send you the most of traffic and also you can compare SEO campaign and ads advertisement campaign. They are effectiveness and see whether it’s what which kind of campaign it’s worth to continue in future, serve search engine traffic overview. You can see it again in the traffic sources section, and here, if you choose traffic type, you can see organic search and paid search and number of visits they generated for your case, which is helpful.

What is great is that you can also view this data by source of by traffic source, for example, Google, Yahoo, Facebook, and so on. You can also see keywords. You can also see the information by the keywords and also by campaign and other metrics just choose any one. You need and see the corresponding information. So now we navigated, we have come to organic traffic overview. Here we can see the traffic report / the keywords by the keywords and how many visits each keyword has driven in our case then pay traffic utter you.

If you would like to see these kind of to analyze this kind of traffic, you simply click on the pay traffic, and here you choose where they campaign medium source or keyword interest. And you can see that how much wizards, how many and weather and weather these visits relevant or not how many visits any of this campaign has driven for your website. So when we are done with this metric, we would like to a brought your attention to the fact that it is important, probably it’s more useful, to integrate webmaster tools account with your Google Analytics account.

So how to do that generally, if you have not set up this kind of integration, are you just you see just this kind of information if you navigate to this section search engine optimization? But if your setup integration, you will be able to see, choir is landing pages, Georgia, field summary and other information another way or another thing why it’s helpful is because you can see google analytics information from webmaster tools account as well, so it’s like very, very convenient.

So how to set up this kind of integration you, for example, you can. Actually, you can do this in two ways you can set up it being through on google in Google Analytics account or you can set up it from your dead master tools, account so i’ll show you i’m going to show you this second way you choose besides name Here your website, none here you click, manage site and select Google Analytics property.

Then you will be taken to this kind of page and you select a web property which you would like to associate with the account. And then you are a dot. Then, if you navigate your search engine, optimization section you see, choir is landing page and geographical summary and other or relevant and useful information about your online project. So now we have come to very interesting part of our presentation.

It’s set up. Eight powerful Google Analytics custom reports, so why do we need custom reports because custom reports? It is our short card which helps you get more actual inside in last time, custom reports. They are more adjusted to your business needs, so it gives you more exact information and help you answer questions which you have specifically. So the report number one is not provided report.

So what is it in a nutshell? There is such an issue with their not provided segment when the user is used when the user is cited with any of Google services and performs a search in Google, the keyword the user is has been using to perform. This church is not showed in Google Analytics. In fact, Google Analytics doesn’t show any kind of information about these users it just aggregates it’s in one segment, not provided, but since are more and more people are using google using google services, and this segment is growing.

It’s vital to understand somehow the behavior of these users, so what sir? So? What online marketers advice to do? In this case, they advise to 2-under to understand this, not provided segments with the help of landing pages. So when what if we understand at which landing pages users arrived from non provided segment, we can see our? What is the user intention when they’d satisfied with the page at which they arrived and also we can? We can suggest the keywords which could have been used by the user are to arrive at this certain page, it’s much more clearer than just have non provided segments.

So how to do this? How to hack this kind of information navigate to admin panel select the profile for which you would like to create. This are kind of filter, select filters and click new filter. Here you need to write the information, something like this. Actually, you can write it exactly how it’s written here, but if it seems to you a little bit overwhelming, we would advise you to read this econsultancy post, which talks more in detail about this kind of report.

So basically, what we are are telling here what we are asking to do here. We are asking Google Analytics to take the URLs at which the user from North provided segments arise every time he is here or he is arriving at our website. So if we are set up this kind of filter, the all the new information about not provided segment will be will be presented like this, for example, in this case, you can see at which landing at what landing pages user arrived.

What was the bounce rate average visit? Duration averaged, I’m on page and other metrics. You can also select secondary dimension and sort this information. The way you want so definitely you in this case you will be able to give mark to get much more insight. Now we are moving on to the second report report number two: it’s branded vs non branded traffic, so it is helpful when we want to receive the effectiveness of our of our promotion for non branded trip for non-branded keywords.

In this case, we want to filter somehow to exclude branded keywords, so how does to do that or just make the use of custom segments? So in this case you need to navigate to advanced segments, click, new custom segments and write the next information. So we hear us can google to include all the data or the data from organic search. We select medium, exactly mention organic, then you want to exclude the information could be not provided segment.

Let’s take this case. We write exclude keyword, exactly matching, not provided, and the last enter we we might want to do is we want to. We want to specify which keywords we are considered as a branded key as branded keywords. So in this case, we select exclude keyword and mention regular expression when we select mention regular expression, because we are using this kind of 5 / which allows us to write all the branded keywords in one rule and simplest state that if any of these keywords occurs, It should be excluded from the organic traffic.

After that we click Save segment and then, in any case or from any count within one google analytics account. You can access this kind of report and apply it. So this is the difference with which we receive when we apply this kind of segment. So, for example, we are looking we’re looking at the traffic’s at the traffic performance number of visits and think like okay, everything goes well our as SEO campaign.

Doing is doing very well okay, but after we have excluded branded keywords from the traffic, we see that, as it appears, traffic is little bit lower that we expected, because our about 30 reasons / days it was they were accounted. They accounted for branded keywords now. Well, let’s consider another report report number three: it’s is it with transactions visit with transactions report is very helpful because you can get a picture of your visitor who are triggers the conversion who buys are on your website or makes or does any a step action, which Is relevant which is critical for your business success? So how can you get this picture of the client? You can see the region from which user has come.

You can see the language which has been used by the visitor browser screen resolution and are the information also with this. With the help of this, with the with this information, you can get an idea of users behavior so, for example, where they proceed further, whether they are satisfied and engaged with your content and so on, so for how to apply this kind of report. In this case, you just need to make the use of standard default.

Google Analytics segments you navigate to advanced segments and choose visits with transactions and click apply, and that’s what you obtain. You see the pie graph, which shows the percentage of you visitors and of returning visitors. You can also see a number of visits correspond its corresponding to each type of language. You can also choose another metric to you. This kind of day data you can see.

You can choose browser operating systems of service provider screen resolution and if you want to get more figures, more data, you just click view full report and you are taken to this kind of table here. You can choose secondary dimension, for example, we we have chosen for our case country and territory, and also you can specify the way you would like to use this data. You may specify that you would like to use it as a chart as a pie graph or as a bar chart.

A report number 4, which might come handy, is most profitable sources of traffic. Most profitable sources of traffic report allows you to see which sources has driven the biggest revenue for your business and where, where is where is the highest return on investment and on which traffic sources? You should focus more in the future? So this kind of report could be set up in the following way: navigate to the traffic sources, section, select all traffic and then click ecommerce.

In this case, you will be able to see this kind of table which shows, in the show source and medium traffic source and medium and e-commerce conversion rate. You can also see the average value which has been generated by each of these traffic sources and the number of transactions select. It’s very helpful if you want to see to rate these kind of sources by any of these metrics, just simply click on the column heading and the information will be put in order, starting from the best reformed sources.

Then – and this is how you can see that if your rate by, for example, ecommerce conversion rate, the best reform source comes first in the Indus in this day, people report number 5 funnel visualization and drops off. Why is this report very useful? Because I? Firstly, let’s: let’s talk a little bit more, what final is final could be divided. Is 0 of steps is a sequence of steps which you expect your user to take on the way to the conversion.

So it’s good. It’s could be compared to little goals. We choose the tab for Google Analytics in Google Analytics and you expect the user to reach all these goals and finally, he may he should reach the final. The biggest goal are for your website. So if you set up our final result, visualization, you may not only see the data, but you can also see be a visual picture of these sir conversion process, and you can see, are these stages on on which users abandoned the conversion conversion path.

The course are, naturally, not all the users they start to convert, they start the purchase and they finish it. Probably there is a button which is not working on your website or some some another kind of usability issue and that’s why they can’t finish complete the purchase. So, with the help of this funnel visualization feature, you will be able to identify this week places so firstly to to get this picture.

You need to set up the fat to set up the funnel you navigate to admin, select the profile and click goals. Then you are set up the funnel, for example. In our case, for example, let’s take the case of promoter users. We perceive that our potential customers contact us via email, but we think that the users might visit this page contact us page before they do before they request called the contact.

So we set up that for this goal. Url destination goal email contact. There might be a step there might be a step when the user visit, then the user visits contact us page. So we write these kind of information. Please note that you can add another steps, and actually there could be a lot of lot more steps which you perceive users should take before they make the conversion before they trigger the conversion and after you have set up the funnel.

You can see these kind of information, this kind of image it could be obtained in the conversion. Section final visualization, as you can see in this example more over 900 people started the conversion, but only for hundred and fifty finished it successfully. So here you can see it and read stitches. They left this conversion process. Then you can check these pages and see whether something is going wrong with its pages report number six bounce rate.

So I have already mentioned several times this powerful metric, and now we are going to give a better overview of this important metric so bounce rate. It is the percent percentage of visits that go only one page and after visit, only one page and on after this page they just exit the site and do not proceed to any other pictures. Bounce rate is used to measure user engagement. How much the extent to which your website content is relevant to the user needs and generally and that’s why? Generally, a high bounce rate is considered as a negative sign, because the visitor is not doesn’t find your website very informative and relevant to their needs, and he just leaves after you in 11 pitch so this kind of metric.

You can see many many reports. For example, you can navigate to the content, section select all peaches, and here you can see bounce rate when you analyze bounce rate, it’s very good to make the use of this a bar chart. For example, we have selected landing pages and then we selected bar chart and what now we see the bounce rate of different pages is compared to this site average. So here we can see that this page performs really bad, and this page is not working as well.

So probably there is some usability issues on this website of these pages and we need to pay more attention to them and of them, and probably there will be the result. So bounce rate is very important metric for usability specialist and is considered very very very often so there is the case when high bounce rate R is not considered as a negative sign. For example, there are, there is a certain group of websites or for which even one hundred percent bounce rate is okay, simply because are the when the user visit decides.

He lands on the first on the page. He used this page here since information, the information they need and then he’ll. He lives completely satisfied. For example, it could be blocks, user have has read the article event lives, so in this case, or you should pay attention so before jumping into a bounce rate analysis. You should think of your website what kind of websites you have and whether high bounce rate is is indeed a negative sign are for, for your online project report number 7 mobile traffic.

Ah, today’s turn, these days when mobile usage is growing with their huger at the huge rate, it’s important to know what is going on with our mobile users, because, as a rule, they are access accessing our website, film, from devices with smaller screens with lower internet speed. So we should, we should definitely analyze this kind of traffic weather weather disk, whether these users have any kind of problems.

So, if your applied mobile traffic report, you can get a clear picture of users who are visiting your website. You can see a screen resolution operating system, browser and other metrics attributed to this source, and also you can increase mobile traffic conversion rate simply by eliminating some problems which which you might are identified during this kind of analysis, so how to set up mobile traffic report Again, navigate to advanced segments and select mobile traffic report, then click apply it’s a default segment which is provided by Google Analytics after you have applied this a report.

We advise you to navigate to the audience and overview here. You can see, for example, the data breakdown by language by country and territory, by operating system by service provider and are the metrics. In other case. We have chosen screen resolution. You want to see where the users experience any kind, any kind of problems when existing from different mobile devices. So, in order to get this kind of information, we click view full report and again we select bar chart so that to computer bounce rate with the site average.

So we see that users with these screen resolutions experience some problems, probably because the bounce rate is is high and that’s why our after we have done this analyst analysis, we might go to our website and test it all on the devices with these resolutions. In order to see whether whether they have any kind of problems – okay and now we have come to the last report for today, this is report number 8, 40.

All errors why we should why we should apply and make the use of these kind of report, because um 404 arrows are bad for your website for two for two main reasons. Firstly, because our users, when they run into the error pages, they they might be, are unsettling, might experience negative, they might receive negative experience and they might leave the site if you don’t, if you don’t present any navigation and hints on how what on what to do Further they they might just leave the website and not come there anymore, and the second reason why it’s bad, because, if you’re, if the number of error pages steadily grows on your website, it is, it is a sign for google and it may decrease the Rankine’s of Your website, because of this technical problem, so to apply this kind of report we are, we advise to make a short card and just make the use of advanced filter.

We are going to apply this filter with the help of the page title, so we need to apply this filter. We need to know the page title we go to the page, arrow page gold find the title copy it and then proceed to the content section here, which is all pagers, and here we select page title so there we receive the breakdown of pages with different page Titles – and this is the die when we are apply the advanced filter.

Here we write that we would like to include information about the pages with the beach title, which contains this this information, and after that we click apply. What do we receive? We receive a report showing us the number of of error pages. We see the dynamic of this. The trend of these pages, as well as we can see the bounce rate, and if we are select secondary dimension, we can see whether the user proceeds to any other pages, for example.

Also, you can see which pictures generated which URLs generated this arrow page in this case, you just need to click on this and you will be able to see all the pictures which the user, typed or clicked on and to received error notice. So this kind of information you can see here with this with the help of this report so now or we have finished with the custom reports, and actually this is all which we would like to tell you today.

One point more, which I would like to notice is that to note is that there is a very powerful tool provided by google these days. It’s reporting solutions from google solution gallery. How to Check Mobile Traffic Using Google Analytics

This is an important number to know in general, but especially now with Google getting ready to roll out an update on April first. That will affect how easy it is for websites that are not mobile, friendly to turn up highly in the search results.

You really want to know if your website is not mobile friendly much. This update is going to affect you so from your Google Analytics dashboard over here: click on the audience, tab and then click on the oval tab and then click overview that will bring up the screen. We’re looking at right now see it shows you the device category of a desktop mobile tablet, so these are the devices people are using to visit your website.

This is the stats from my website for about the last month and a half, you can see that I’ve gotten in da triz it’s from people using mobile devices, which presents just under ten percent of my total traffic volume. So, as a percentage of total traffic volume, I’m not doing much traffic on mobile devices, the higher this percentage is on your website. The more you will be adversely affected on april twenty first, if your website is not using a responsive or mobile friendly design.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9Up92MMFEO8

So that’s the number you want to check if this number is say you know, between thirty to fifty percent, you’re, probably going to be significantly adversely affected on april twenty first and you’ll stand to lose a lot of site traffic. Another number that you want to pay attention to is this number right here: if your website is not mobile friendly, this number will probably be pretty high. This is the bounce rate, in other words the people who come to your website and leave immediately without viewing more than one page.

Most websites that do not have mobile-friendly designs will have a high bounce rate from people who visit the website using their mobile device. Now, let’s take a look at how changing your website, design to a responsive design affect this number here, so I recently installed a design on my site that was mobile response over x via a responsive design. So i’m going to change the date range we’re looking at here.

We can see that instead of fifty-four percent, that bumps rate for people using mobile devices dropped to zero percent means every single person who has visited my website using a mobile device after I changed it to a responsive design has viewed more than one page. In fact, they have viewed an average of 2.69 pages per session, so that’s the impact that having a mobile friendly design for your site can have on your website traffic that right.

There is a great reason to get a responsive design website and the update coming from google on april 21st is another great reason if you currently don’t have a mobile-friendly website and want to address that issue. That is something that I can help you with learn more about my services visit, redpoint, archit and consultants, com and click on the website, design tab out to learn more about my website design services.

Thanks for reading hope, you found the article helpful and have a great day.

R. Fisher. All You have to do, is click the link and read it no credit card required. Now I Want to hear, have you done any email marketing already put your comments. Below I want to hear what you’ve done, where you’ve done it, the results are Gotten, and also, if you have any questions, feel free to put those Questions in there I’ll be happy to answer them.

Alright, let’s get started. First thing you wouldn’t do if you’re brand new here is to subscribe to my Blog, ok, that’s super-important! You know if you haven’t subscribed yet You’re going to miss out on some really good stuff, so go down there hit that Subscribe button now, next to it, there’s a little bell: you want to click on it. We Rang the bell, and once you do, that, you want to turn on all notifications that Way, you become part of my family, the Fisher family, the VIP group.

That knows About these articles way before anybody else, because I can actually notify you When you do that super important all right, let’s jump right into this. Let’s Get into Kartra and let’s look at the way that we’re going to send emails. Inside a courtroom, I’m going to tell you I’ve been doing this since 2009. I’ve Used a lot of different pieces of software, then by far Kartra, does more For our business of anything else, when we switched over to character, we Actually cancelled eight different pieces of Software, because Kartra did all those things for us.

So if you’ve already got Kartra great, if you don’t there’s a link below you can read a article. It’s Free, you don’t need a credit card to read the article and once you’ve read The article, if you do want to get a trial of Kartra, you could actually get one for Just one dollar now before I started sending emails, I got Kartra all set up. And I’m going to tell you you want to do that. You know you want to.

You, know, set Up all your list in there, you want to establish your payment. Integrations. You Want to do all the stuff, then you need to do to set up your Kartra account. I’r Not covering that in this article we’re just covering emails, but I’m assuming That you’ve got all that done because you don’t want to send emails out if They click and they can’t go to a page and nothing works. Okay, so make sure you Get all that set up first now, once I did that, of course, I set up my pages where They could click on it and they actually goes to a page and there’s actually a Product there can they can actually buy that product, so you have to have that.

Done before you set up these emails because you’re going to have them, click and Go somewhere now now I say that, but that’s only if you built a big Kartra If you’re sending them to like a WordPress website or Magento or Shopify Then you don’t have to worry about that. You can just put that link in there and Send them to that page now you want to start with your leads. Okay, so before you Can even send an email and Kartra you need somebody to send it to somebody to Receive it, so you can upload those two Kartra and they have a little bit of A lag maybe a day or two before they’re actually going to approve them, but you can Just upload all your leads to Kartra and then don’t forget to tag them me.

They Even have different products, you have different businesses. I know I have a Couple different businesses in there, so we have those people categorized in There so the emails go out to the right people so make sure you’re setting up All your tags, you’ve tagged them properly, buyers, non-buyers people who Downloaded stuff, that’s like the thing, and you have all that set up first, that Way, you’ll have all that done.

When you go to send your email, you can send it. Based on those tags, cuz you’re going to need to do that now, if you need to Collect leads: you can also do that in Kartra, I’m not covering it in this article. I’r covered emails, but you can set up opt-in forms in Kartra and you can Actually start building your email list and once you build it and they opt-in in Kartra they automatically get put on list, so you don’t have to worry about That it’s an all maduk thing now before you send these Broadcasts before you send these emails make sure if you’re uploading, your own List then you do it at least a day or two in advance since they’re there, when You want to set it out because there is that lag before they actually go into The system now you may find this irritating and I get it, but it’s really Super important because Kartra is worried about deliverability and if they Don’t go through these lists and make sure they’re done properly.

Then your Emails aren’t going to get delivered, so we want to make sure that that is done. And they’re actually doing that for your benefit, I’m going to send a broadcast so The first thing I’m going to do is I’m going to go over to my campaign. So let’s Take a look at that real, quick, it’s on the left hand side and then you tap Campaigns at the very top of the page, and then you select broadcast below so You can see that there once on the correct page, I simply tap the green plus Button and that green plus button is going to be on every single one of your Kartra pages, when you’re starting out, so you know whether you’re building a Sales page whether you’re doing email sequences, whatever you’ll, always have That green plus button, so that’s where you want to start off there.

So then Kartra is going to take you to another page and it’s going to have your Automations, your send your schedule and all your finishes and all the things you Need to do let’s go over and take a look at that now I’m going to choose to send my Message through an actual email, you can also send it through an SMS, which means It’s going to go to people’s phones, you’re going to need to use something like Twilio Or next mo or troppo, or something like that and you’re going to have to Integrate it, if that’s what you’re going to do, the next part you’re going to come to Is the send from area? This is actually the email that they’re going to see that it Actually came from and should they respond, the laxing respond to this email.

Too, once you build your email list within Kartra, you can choose who it’s Going to go to you’re going to get this drop-down and you can choose, you know: All types of different things, if you don’t have your list really built that Much yet you want to send it to everybody in the database, then you’re Going to click and I’m going to show you on the screen here: real quick you’re going to Click where it says everybody in my database, but you can also click on, has Opened email has not opened email that type of thing now the cool thing is Kartra is actually going to tell you how many leads you selected once you did.

That so you’re going to know upfront how many people is going to go off to now. Here’s a screenshot of that it says five leads selected. Five emails filled in None of them are blocked and five total to sins. So before you send you’re going to Know how many emails going to actually go out now? The next thing you can do is A be split test, so you know you can have two different emails going out depending Upon what you want to send you know, maybe you want to test one message in One different message in the other one now will tell you when you’re, when You’re testing, you only want to test one variable, so maybe it’s the headline.

Because you’re trying to increase open rate, but the email is identical. If you If you change the headline and the email you’re not going to know, you know which Email is better if you have the same exact email in two different headlines: You’re going to know which headline got them to open it more than the other one. So make sure you do that now you can also toggle between basic and advanced Now, when you do that, that’s going to give you some different options that Don’t forget, you got ta, have links in those emails when you’re sending those Emails out the whole point is to get them to click and go somewhere and do Something whether it’s a download, whether it’s to read your blog, whether It’s to buy a product, so don’t forget to put those in every single email now, once You do about one email, then you do your other email, maybe changing the headline.

So that you can test the difference in those headlines now, if you go into the Advanced setting on these emails, you can actually change components like Templates for your emails in there in colors and backgrounds, and that type of Thing: here’s a screenshot of what that looks like and you see you have design Templates right there, you have full templates, my templates, so it gives you That added feature right there now here’s an example of one of the emails Here and some of the things that you can do with it and if you notice, you know, The font really stands out well here, because the background color is Different and you can do a lot more with it if you’re in the advanced now there Are schools of thought that say? Well, you know email should be basically should Look like every other email they get from their friends and that type of Thing we tend to use just black text on a white background and I’ll put some Images in there every now, but those seem to convert better for us.

Than anything else, these take a lot more time to build ones like this, but if That’s what you want to do. You can certainly do that in culture now, one Thing you want to be careful about, is don’t click the X or delete button, an Email editor, unlike building pages and other things, In Kartra, where you can just hit the go back button once you click, the lead is Gone, you can’t go back so you’re going to lose everything.

You worked on. I’ve Written my two e-mails: does that mean I can go ahead and send them now? No, not Quite because what we have to do now is decide what percent of these emails are? Going to go to one group versus the other group, the percent has to add up to 100 %, so you know, maybe you want 50/50 split. Maybe you’re really concerned that This one emails not going to do well, so you only want to put ten person in that Then you would put 90 percent the other one either way.

You’ve got to make that Decision at this point, what is the percentage of split now, if you’re, using Any type of dynamic variables – and what I mean by that is it changes each time an Email goes out, so I may have deer and then put it in first name right. There And it’s going to fill in John or Bob or Becky or whoever it is. When do you send Out your test, email, which you should every single time, it’s going to say, dear Test in that particular area right there, so keep that in mind now, once you play Around the park for a little bit and you see what an automation is you’re going to Understand that, but you got to get in there and kind of work with it a little Bit I know initially when I looked at it, I’m Like what the heck is that? What does that mean? But now I know it and I understand it so it just takes some time and don’t quit.

You know just keep working you’ll get this stuff. I know it seems foreign to You, but it only seems foreign to you cuz, you haven’t done it once you’ve done it. A few times it’s going to seem very commonplace, so number one I can set up. An automation to go out to people who have not opened my emails after a Hundred hours, okay, I can send them a whole different email that may make them More likely to open it, maybe I can change the subject line.

Do something Along those lines, so those automations are really helpful. For cleaning up your list and getting people to open your emails when they’re Not opening them now you can also break these into lists. So number two is: if a Lead has actually opened my email, I may add, Them to another list, because I know these people are interested in my Product or services now here’s an example right here: you don’t have to do.

This, but you probably should it’s a it’s a helpful way to further segment. Your Leads by setting up these automations, so you can see here. We’ve got a couple: Things set up early holiday, painting announcement within a hundred hours if You know the lead does not open that particular one then subscribe the lead. To the list ignored, email, okay and then we have some different emails that go Out on that, and then the second one says that lead opens email, early holiday, Painting announcement: okay, subscribe them to the list: open email, And then we can send them a different automation now, at this point, Everything’s set up, I can go ahead and get ready to send out my emails now.

The Cool thing with Kartra is: I can set it up to go out right now. I can schedule it. For another day now, keep in mind the way the time works in Kartra. It’s always Set on Eastern Standard Time, so if you’re in the West Coast like we are, we Are three hours behind them? So you know if I want to send an email at you know: 12:00 noon, I’m going to need to send it for 3:00 p.M. In the afternoon. It’s all going to be settled Eastern Time, so you can do that and the last Thing you can do is if you’re working on an email and you’re not ready to send it.

You want to do some more stuff to it. You can just save it as a draft. Now the cool Thing is once you’ve sent ten broadcast in Kartra. It will start to suggest to You the best time of day and week, a month of when to send out your emails. That’s a good overview on the emails. I will tell you there’s a lot more to Learn in Kartra, I have a lot of articles on this blog that are going to teach You those things, but that’s a good starter right.

Best Tools to Grow an Online Business in 2020

So in this article here today, that’s what I’m going to be sharing with you make sure to hit that thumbs up and all of these tools are really easy to use, because I’m not going to lie.

I’r actually a bit of a technophobe, the first and most under utilized tool. It’s going to be something that you may be like whoa Lauren hold up here. I thought that was just for professionals. They were looking to connect with other professionals or to find jobs and to have people spam me with their jobs. You do know it’s the easiest and a free way to find your dream customers. You can literally type in a job, title or type of person and I’ll pop up.

So just think what is my dream customer do professionally and then you can find them just through searching like this, have conversations with decision makers and three get in front of people who have the income to pay. You y’all over 45 percent of LinkedIn users make more than 75 a grand per year and you don’t even need the paid version for any of that right now. It’s kind of a golden age just like Facebook about ten years ago, so you are able to grow real fast.

So what should you post on there? But I think I’m going to do an entire article on it. But for now make sure that you’re on LinkedIn make sure that you’re posting at least every other day and that you’re connecting with people and that your profile is optimized and so usually dinh and realize that there’s a lot of opportunities there. So yeah. I, like LinkedIn, for building relationships. My company, we call it permission based relationship marketing, but maybe I’ll do a article on that in the future.

So drop a comment: if you want it, I over 10,000 followers on there right now and we’re getting a lot of our clients from LinkedIn. Now, in fact, half of our plans now coming from LinkedIn, whereas before it used to be like 1 % – and I was only a few months ago, so there are some sorts of tools that you can use in order to generate. You lead using LinkedIn and if you want to know what they are just send me, a direct message on LinkedIn saying, lift in leads and then I’ll make sure that I know what that means.

So I can tell you about it sneekly, but you can connect with absolutely anyone and pro tip when you connecting with you, make sure that unknown, like I’m doing right here with these people and offer your services to them in a really non family. My second necessary tool is Google Drive. You would be shocked about how many will don’t know that this is a thing you get to use. Google Docs, which is literally just Microsoft, Word, but it’s so much better here.

Let me show you why. So when you create a new document, it will pretty much just open up and your entire team can be working on it all at once and it automatically updates. So while you’re typing something in someone else can be too so. Google Docs is great, but then there’s also Google sheets, Google, slides and even more so we use Google Forms to our business. So this is the way that you can collect data from clients.

All of these different things that I personally don’t use, but it just keeps everything organized and so simple, so we make slideshows all the time for our clients and then with regards to our sheets. We mainly just use this to keep on track of our clients and various different things that we’re doing, and if you look at this here, this may look really ugly, but these responses are from a Google Form that we had and we set up an integration so That we don’t even have to fill out this spreadsheet, it happens all automatically and it’s just such a nice way for our whole team just to have all of this information all in one.

But even if you just want to use it for personal, it’s great because it means you don’t need to download anything, it all happens and stays in the cloud which means that it doesn’t take up any space. Your computer and Google also has Google Calendar now I’ve taken these three off because there’s a lot of personal stuff there, but these three calendars, my whole team – shares them. So we all get to see when payments are due in on a calendar and it means that we’re organized and on top of things, which means that we’re being productive and not having to go ahead and check everything which allows you maximize your effectiveness and your efficiency.

So how do you know what you’re doing each day you can have your Google Calendar dictate it and you can set it up so that people can meetings with you for that specific thing on this is a big. Take then for a more user friendly project management tool. Monday dot-com is absolutely awesome. It’s super collaborative and everything inside just makes it really simple. So this is the inside of Oz and how we use it, and so there’s various different reporting’s that we do that we can keep track of in order to ensure that we’re both on top of our business and then we also have client trackers for our clients.

Inside of our programs, so I definitely recommend this I’ll leave a link below which gets you a free trial. So you can give it a go and a taster, because it’s something that just allows virtual teams to stay on top of that tasks in a really effective way, and the nice thing is, you can set deadlines, add tick boxes just so that everyone knows where everything Is and you can even have conversations about different things, which then people get notified about? It’s really really cool second to learn I like, for that is acuity, and I actually think I have a lane they’re supposed to be only for my clients to get a free month trial, but I’ll leave it down below, so that you can get it as well, And it’s where people can actually book a time to speak to you and so, if you’re, a coach or consultant or a service provider and you’re, not taking sales schools.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jT8yfF1W2yY

Well, you definitely should be, and people are going to be able to book a pool with you using this. You can also have questions on the cool booking form, which are essentially application question. So when you go on the pool with them, they can have already partially convinced themselves. They already need your help, so this is a whole nother different topic about human psychology and everything. But basically, you see, will calendar and allow people to book kinds of you using acuity scheduling all these every single tool links down below.

So by now you know an awesome platform which is totally free. You know how to dictate your time and how to optimize the people booking cause with you, and you know that you should be doing sales calls, and so next up, I want to talk about. Okay, once you have leads once you have a way for these leads to book time on your calendar, how do you actually get the money in your bank? Well, a little bit.

We use PayPal, PayPal, scoop people’s good, but there’s actually something called transfer wise and I like this cuz. The fees are really really really low so again I’ll leave it down below, but it allows people from all around the world to pay you, and so you need it invoice them out, and so you can just use a website like invoice generator literally, you can go On google and type in generate invoice online and you’ll find invoice generator invoice home all these things you can just use them for free, that’s what I do and it will allow you to actually take payment from people, businesses who are generating under a hundred day by Month, transferwise is a really good option if you’re taking payment over the phone, which I do recommend you off, then you stripe, if you’re under a hundred kpop months.

If you’re over that, send me a DM and I’ll. Tell you about another option: that’s maybe better! For you at that stage, but I’m around a pay per month, transfer wise as well as stripe, are going to be really good option to get the money in the bank. And so now, if you have a, there are a couple of things that you should be using if you’re not doing so ready or if you have plans, okay, so the first is slack slack is awesome, it’s kind of like what’s out for business, it’s a virtual Offense, so you can have different team members come into your slack.

You can also have different clients come into your slack and then you can have blogs and blogs are essentially an office room where people can come in, they can go, but the cool thing is as they come and go they’re able to see all the previous messages That happen before, and so you can send files in there. You can send messages in that. Oh, my gosh, it’s if you have a team and you’re not using it.

You are crazy if you have a lot of individual clients and you’re, not communicating to them on that. Then you’re losing a lot of time, because it’s just such an effective way to communicate, and then it’s definitely another tool for teams. I really really like is loom. So I’ll do it again all of these link down below luminacai, it’s essentially a Chrome extension and you can void your screen record.

The audio show your face if you want to and just do articles, and so it means that when you communicating with plans when you’re communicating with your team you’d have to type things out, you just have absolutely everything in article format, which makes it so much easier To explain, I can’t believe I wasn’t using this up until about three months ago, because I used to have to try and say to a client know this part of the sales school isn’t very good.

Here’s what you need to improve and don’t explain. I was so confusing, whereas now I can have them submit allude to me they speak. I pose what they’re saying I speak with the feedback. I play what they’re saying the PMP or you can have a document and instead of having to go through the document, highlight and then write your comment. You can go through the documents and just say here’s my feedback on this part, the villa and read through it.

Just like you were something that next, but it is so good. It saves you so much time just allows you to communicate less and going back and forth less and then the next thing when it comes to actually training your team, you can record a bunch of balloons, download them and then upload them to a training hub and A training portal, so I like to thank you for that again. I think I have a free trial flat so leave that down below.

This is the same platform that we use to deliver courses to our clients, and so it’s really cool effect, they’re really efficient and will allow you to train your client and train your team in the best way possible. So they’re my favorite tools that I like to use for my business. There are other smaller things that I use, such as Volker sir, with some clients, which is like a what’s up type of thing: I’m not really too much of a fan of it, but the first things that I’ve listed out here hasn’t one I find better ones.

I will be sure to update you and let you know, but right now, they’re my faves first thing doctor where and when it comes to document and everything I drove use. Microsoft, Word everything: Google Drive. I love Google Drive, I let you pay like ten bucks a month and get so much storage. This is immutable and yeah first place to start. If I were, you is just make sure your Google is all optimized and organized then after that, make sure that you are on LinkedIn that you’re posting content from that.

What I would ensure that you’re doing it’s just really making sure that when you’re actually having but close of you you’re sending them your acuity link and then you can keep going to get it and absolutely crush it. I hope this helpful hit not subscribe. Make sure that you turn on the notification Seletar future articles, I’m going to definitely do one on LinkedIn and all the other stuff I mentioned.

I do wan na I’ll, see you in the next article

The BEST low cost MARKETING STRATEGY for Small Business (2020)

Don’t do that. I thought this was a dancing article, so I opened it up, but it says I spend zero time proving myself to anybody. It’s not why you are posting any article of your dancing. Welcome back to the podcast /youtube show the six bigger sign. Hustle muse goddess asks: what are some low budget high return marketing techniques that we can follow? Well funny.

You should ask that, because I talked about one all the time. It’s literally just posting on Instagram. How low-budget is it if you already have a phone and you already have Internet service and it’s literally free, your Instagram account is free. You taking and repurposing photos is free. If you want to take out the little @ symbol out of the repost symbol, then you just pay like a dollar a month.

So that’s one dollar and all you need to do is invest your actual time into finding photos to re post. I do a whole article about how you can build out your Instagram page when you don’t have any original content. What we have done with one of my business with the no label extensions page also is create an inspiration page as a whole cell hair company owner. I cannot rely on any of my clients, posting tagging us as their source, because that would expose their plug and then everyone that they sell to would know to just come to us and get it at half price.

So that’s the last thing that we’re going to do. That’s the last thing. They’re going to do so, knowing that we weren’t going to have that feedback, knowing we weren’t going to have that user-generated content, we decided to make an inspiration page that provides value to stylists value, to models, because we always try and tag the stylist and the model And our audience is growing at like a thousand followers a week.

I think faster than that, because we’re almost a twenty one. Twenty two thousand – and we started this at the start of the year – and this is with very little user-generated content. I’d say less than 5 % of our posts are actually of like photos that we’ve taken ourselves so posting on Instagram. As long as you are consistent as long as you are smart about your posts, then you are going to grow as long as you are using your hashtags and following all of the advice that I always drop, then like search look through my articles on my blog There are so many articles where I talk about Instagram strategies, so we won’t get into all of them, but that is one free way.

Another free way. It’s what we’re doing right here right now. Yes, you guys know. I have upgraded my just down here. You guys know I love me. A glueless wig got to keep that down. Had all the puffs destroyed okay, so, yes, I did upgrade my camera quality, but when I started off recording content like the articles that have some of the highest views on them on my youtube blog were shot on my iPhone on my iPhone.

That’s it! If you want to go ahead and invest in more lights, if you want to go ahead and vest in more lights, I got the ring light up. There got some spots lights, I have so many lights. I have so many microphones, but I’ve been creating content like as my job. I was a jerk broadcast journalist. I worked in the news. I’ve been a content creator for over a decade. This is just kind of what I do, but you don’t need all of this equipment.

I recorded articles on my cell phone to specifically show you that you could do it too, that you don’t need all of this fancy equipment, especially when you’re not just getting started or when you’re just getting started. That, I feel, is an excuse that people make. Oh, I don’t have the right camera or I’m going to wait until I can afford to the lights. Get next to a window go out in the Sun. That is the ultimate light source and start recording on your cell phone show people what you’re working with when it comes to this hair.

This no label extension I have to show up, and I have to show you what I’m working with. Otherwise, you don’t know that you have the opportunity to buy it. That is what you can do. Low budget high return, marketing techniques, pull out your cameras, start recording articles. Let me see muse goddess is selling you of all people should invest in a little weeks here. Let me show you this: I got it on Amazon, I take it with me everywhere.

I know it looks like a fun toy. Ladies this play, but this extends – and you know what fits in it perfectly my cell phone and then guess what there’s a little tripod thing at the bottom – invest $ 20 into this stand. Every time you are practicing, you should be recording yourself. Go live a couple of times a week, make sure that you’re rolling on this doing popular dances to to popular songs and all that stuff.

In your version, your iteration people love reading and consuming tons of content on the same subject when something is going viral, it’s not just about who’s going to tell me about it first, it’s me wanting to see how you are interpreting this information. What are you going to say about this when it comes to you as a choreographer? You should be listening to like the trending things, see what challenges are going around there and show us how you are interpreting that through your artistry, Instagram was literally created for you and then, of course, YouTube is a wonderful visual, medium but Instagram says that’s where the Attention is that in people I’m people and people, I love reading people dance on Instagram.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sFuF_IUdtXM

It brings me joy. I need to get back dancing and so so to see another person doing that it’s you are providing value. You are giving people like me joy, because you’re dancing for us to something popular in trendy and we think and it’s just dope. So I think that is what you should be focused on making sure that you’re putting out constant content showing what you can do and I promise you will see a return on it.

You have no dancing. What is going on here. Don’t do that. I thought this was a dancing article, so I opened it up, but it says I spend zero time proving myself to anybody. It’s not why you are posting a article of your dancing, oh and the focus isn’t going to let it do that. It’s not! I just don’t understand snow dancing on here, girl hashtags go ahead and look up the articles that I’ve done on hashtags daily anytime, you’re dancing.

You should just be recording it. I can’t girl. No, ah, no, that’s it! That’s the end of this Q & A cuz cuz. You don’t even read my other articles. I can tell by your content. I don’t mean to like go in on you, but I’m so hungry. So I really don’t coaching call thank you guys for sitting in on this Q & A session with me, charlo Brea, CEO of new level extensions. We help women start hair extensions companies launch their six-figure side hustles in the hair extensions industry, with our hair biz.

In a box program make sure that you check that out and no label extensions com, great Charlo, Greene

How to Grow Your Business with YouTube (Best Marketing Strategy)

So, who is this article for this article is for anybody that wants to be an entrepreneur and start a business online so that other people can see that product that you have to give it’s all it can be for new businesses.

Maybe you’ve never done anything or maybe you’re already established. Maybe you already have an established business on your Facebook, blog or Facebook group, or maybe on Instagram and you’re ready to do something different. This is for you one more thing. I it’s only for people who want to take it seriously if you just want to play around you’re, not really sure you can’t come on here and make a article here and there and think it’s going to take off.

So, if you’re ready to make a commitment and you’re ready to really provide some content to grow your business, then you’re in the right place. Let me ask you a question: what, if you could get thousands or millions of people in front of your business? What would that do for your business, thousands or millions? You can do that on YouTube. You have seen some blogs that have literally 1 2 million followers.

Now imagine getting your content out there and have that many people reading you and seeing the content that you’re providing that has to go with your business. It is a numbers game if you’ve already been around. You know that so the more people, the more traffic that you have, the more people that have their eyes on you, the more growth that you’ll have and the more chances that you will have and being successful and selling through your blog, and that happens through the Links below we’re not going to talk exactly how to monetize YouTube in this one, but I’m going to tell you why you want to use YouTube to grow your business now before we start, I wouldn’t tell you explain to you how YouTube is different than other forms Of marketing, basically there’s two forms of marketing: one is called interrupt, based marketing, and then you have search based, think of interrupt based when you are reading TV and you’re reading your favorite show and then all of a sudden all these commercials come flying at you.

Ok and you’re, like I didn’t ask for that, I don’t really care about Gillette. I don’t shave my beard and I don’t really care, but there’s all kinds of commercials popping on. I didn’t ask for them to be there. They were there. They were interrupting. What I was doing it happens on Facebook, it happens in Instagram, you’re scrolling down going through your newsfeed and Facebook and all of a sudden, all these commercials and ads or ads are popping up, and you didn’t ask for those, and you probably prefer them not to Be there and isn’t it uncanny how they’re usually ads the things that you’ve been searching for, so there is no privacy on Facebook or online if you hadn’t known that, so how is YouTube different? Well, YouTube people are searching for you, they’re saying you know what I want to learn more about health, and fitness and vanessa has a blog she’s, providing recipes every day that that are healthy and nutritious, and I want to follow her and that’s what how people find You they come to you, you don’t come to them.

Now, it’s a little bit more complicated than that. You have to have certain ste search words and things like that. So write this down, that you want to do a little bit of cert research and search engine. Optimization but for today we’re not going to talk in detail about that, but that you definitely need to know a few things like that. But let’s just talk about why you want to be on this platform, all right so number one is: it will help your business grow.

I mean it’s that simple, but you have to be very consistent when you start making YouTube articles you want to make them on a consistent basis and honestly, in the beginning, the more you make the better because you’re just telling YouTube that you know I’m really serious About growing my blog and if you do want a week in the beginning, it’s just going to take that much longer for them to see that you’re serious, because if you did one a week in a year, that’s only 52.

If you do one every day in a year, that’s 365, you have to decide what your goal is. My personal goal has been to make 400 articles in a row and then I’m going to back it down, but I want YouTube to see that I am serious about growing my business and that has been my goal and I think I’m pushing 200 something. As of this article, but I still have a ways to go, but that’s my goal and I know I need to be consistent.

You also need to learn about engine optimization. You might say I’ve got this really good idea about making articles. Maybe you want to teach people how to paint. I would think that would be a good article or a good series, but I don’t know I don’t paint I’m not in that field, but maybe you want to start selling art lessons or something in a digital course, and so your articles have to do with tips And things about art, but maybe there aren’t a lot of people out there that want to learn that and maybe you’re finding that that’s not something that that’s going to be popular.

There are ways: there’s software out there, there’s tools out there that will help. You take your idea and research it and, before you start making articles and building a business from the ground up make sure it’s something that people are searching for. That’s the secret. You don’t tell people what they want, they tell you what they want and then you go. Ah lots of people want to learn how to train dogs.

I’r going to start making articles about that because that’s something that’s being searched. Okay and then maybe you’ll start a Shopify store, selling dog equipment, bowls and leashes, and things like that. Those are just ideas, I’m throwing out there and you want to provide content. Okay, when you’re making the articles you’re just not making willy-nilly different articles, they all have to be cohesive and about the niche that you’ve chosen all right.

So you’re letting YouTube know that you’re, serious and once YouTube knows that you’re serious. They will reward you they want. You to be successful because they can start putting ads on your articles once you’re able to monetize. There are certain mile markers you have to meet before you can monetize anymore and I’m not going to share those because I’m sure they’ll change over time. But if you can monetize and you’re providing content, then you’re providing YouTube a platform where they can put ads it’s a win-win situation for everybody, all right number: two: why do you want to use YouTube? It builds trust with your audience.

If they see you and see your face every single day or four times a week, they get to know you. You know yourself how many stars or people do you read on TV or do you read on YouTube and you feel like you know them, because you get to see them all the time, so you building trust and you’re there consistently in front of them. Now you might say: well, okay, I’m sold I’m going to do it, but I’m afraid I’m really afraid of making a article.

I’r afraid I’m going to look stupid. I don’t know how to do it, everybody’s afraid. In the beginning, everybody, we probably all look kind of silly in the beginning, because we’re not really sure what we’re doing and, as the time goes on, you just keep getting better and better and better. And I think the neat thing is about having your sucky articles. In the beginning is eventually I’ve seen people do it that have been around for 10 years and they’ll go and you look at them and you go man they’re out there on the stage and all kinds of things and then they’ll show you a article of when They first start and you’re like oh my gosh, I’m not that bad.

So just know everybody starts from nothing. My first article I made I made it on Facebook. I was scared to death and what I did just to practice get in front of the camera, and you might do this at first maybe get on Facebook, and I did a how-to article cuz. It’s easy to show people how to do something that you already know how to do and what I did actually now that I look back. It was really fun, but I did a how-to article on how to make fire starters and what we do is we take egg cartons.

We fill them up with sawdust my husband’s in construction, and then you melt wax my mom loves to go to yard sale. She, and I said just go, find me some old candles, so that’s one of her little things that she does and I just melt them down, and I did it right there on the article and I was surprised how many people enjoyed it and I had a Lot of views now that wasn’t so bad, but then I was in a group a course that I was taken and one of the challenges was to be personal.

To share a personal story. Well, I thought I was going to die sharing the story because it’s just when you have to start talking about yourself. It is a little bit different and my heart was racing out of my chest. I had everything written down word for word. Actually, I had it right on my computer and what I do now is just make bullet points, because I don’t want you to see me reading. That’s not what this is all about, but in that particular day that it was my first time I had everything written down, I’m sitting there scrolling and reading and before I sat down I’m just going to be honest with you, I had to go.

Take a drink, a shot of whiskey i-i. Don’t typically do that very often, but I was like I think it was like two o’clock in the afternoon, but I was like oh my gosh and, and I I just I could not get through it, but once I did it, this is the key once I Did it – and I saw that nobody sent me bad things, a lot of my friends who loved me. You know they’re going to say everything. Nice anyway said you did such a great job and the funny thing that happened.

I started doing articles after that and again it just became easier and easier and easier, and it’s funny my mother’s in her 80s and she has a cell phone, and you know how, when you read one article from someone, if you don’t know how to get out Of that article off that person’s page, every article they make will keep coming up. Well, I think about this time I had made that role and they’re on Facebook.

My mom calls me she goes. I had my phone on today and you just kept popping up one after another. She goes all day long and I’m thinking, oh, my gosh, so my I think it’s kind of funny, so my mother became my best fan, so it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, and you know what people love you they love you just the Way they are, and and if somebody’s going to be mean and tell you you suck, then you don’t really need them to be your friend.

After all, do you so it just keeps getting better. It really does, and it just keeps getting easier and and today you’re reading this and two years from now, you’re going to go man that article is bad, so it just you just keep getting better. It’s like anything that you do another thing number three: why do you need to put your business on YouTube? Is you can build your fanbase you’re, actually building numbers you want to get hundreds and hundreds of thousands.

I am have an influencer that I follow and I’m saying just less than a year ago I was following her and she was around oh, my gosh, maybe three hundred thousand followers and already she’s up to like a million. I mean it just it just tripled and she said the funny thing is once you get a momentum going you you just keep getting more and more subscribers in the beginning, it is like pulling teeth. It’s really hard because you’re brand new, nobody knows who you are YouTube is reading.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SLYKeXWuY3Y

They want to make sure you’re serious, so they’re not going to throw to you out there too much. So it takes time in the beginning, but once you build that fanbase people will start clicking your links down there in the description. That’s where sales happen down in there or you take them to a landing page in those descriptions or you’re, giving them free things to get their email address. So there’s a whole process, like I said through there, okay, so number four.

I want to emphasize to you that making a YouTube blog and providing content in your youtubes, nothing bad is going to happen. There isn’t anything bad that can happen. Think about it. Usually, when I start out on a new endeavor, I always think. What’s the worst thing, that’s going to happen, I do that. Even I remember when I was younger. Even if I was going to speak, I would think. Okay, what’s the worst thing, that’s going to happen well, you’re going to get a ticket and I’d say: okay, I’m willing to pay a ticket cuz, I’m really not hurry to get to where I’m going and I’m willing to pay the price.

So with YouTube, though, there is no price to pay. The only thing you’re going to lose is some time but you’ve in that time. This is the thing you’re not really losing anything, because your communication skills will get better. Even if you stop the blog and you decide this isn’t for you, you have grown as a person you’re better in front of an audience. You have better communication skills, you’ve learned how to make articles, and maybe you started getting fancy and adding things in there.

So you’re only going to get better, there’s, nothing, bad, that’s going to happen and the process of making a article is actually simple, but the longevity of it is hard. So I want to explain that in this way, what if you were to run a marathon running step by step right is not hard. It’s a simple process just to run now, whether or not your body can last very long. That’s different same thing with the article.

It’s not hard to make a article. I actually have a little camera on my laptop. I think I paid $ 60 for it, I’m not using the internal camera because it wasn’t that good of quality, and I have a microphone that I bought Yeti. So there you go, I think that was a hundred, so maybe one hundred and fifty dollars. I have two pieces of equipment and that’s it a lot of people just use their their phone. I don’t have a high quality phone.

I have an iPhone, but I’ve got an older one, but there are times that I’ve used it. I might be outside or something and I’ll just do a article like that. But the point is that part’s easy, that’s the easy part. The process what’s hard is the persistence and the consistent consistency and hanging in there. There are days that you might say why am I doing this? There’s I’m not getting that many subscribers, I’m I’m not getting that many views.

I just want to sit down and cry. I mean there’s days that you feel like that, like you, you feel like it’s um, just no results and that’s where a lot of people will quit and that’s why you don’t see that many people that are successful, because when you start doing it you’ll see it’s. It’s time, there’s things that you have to do to build your business. You’ve got to build that foundation, especially in passive income.

You’ve got to put those systems in place. That will be there forever. That can keep making you money, and one of them is articles. Youtube articles are evergreen, they never disappear. So that’s a little tag in there for passive income. They don’t go away. I could make a article ten years ago and if, if the right keywords are in there and somebody searches for and it pops up, then it’s still there where, if you’re on Facebook or Instagram they disappear, they’re gone.

So that’s the difference there forever or gone okay. So those are the reasons that you want to stick with YouTube. And again I want to emphasize to you that’s staying consistent with your content and with your articles is what helps your success YouTube wants you to be successful because YouTube benefits. Remember YouTube is selling ads to people. You know there’s little ads that you always want to skip at the beginning of the article.

Even if somebody just clicks it they get money for that and it probably not a lot. I’r not monetized. Yet I will be, but they the longer people read those articles, they get more money and and people get very strategic and where they put those ads those little article ads and they the a person advertised benefits because they get to put their ad in front of Millions of people, if you have a huge audience, YouTube benefits because they’re getting that money and you’re providing the platform they don’t have to even provide one and all the people out there, making articles and blogs that’s where they put those ads.

So that’s a win-win-win situation and you get a little bit of money from YouTube for monetizing, so everybody wins, but you have to let YouTube know that you’re serious and by being consistent and sticking it out and providing that content lets them know. So what I suggest for you is get started on your blog. I have this in a article, a series, YouTube growth and I will continue to put YouTube articles articles in there that will help you with your growth, so be sure to click that link and again, if there’s not a lot in there, when you click it just Go back and keep looking because I will consistently keep putting articles in the playlist until then I’ll see you on the next article and thank you for reading.

Give me a thumbs up if this was helpful or if you have any questions. Ask because that’s what I’m here for I’m more than happy to help you

Documentary – New Kings: The Power of Online Influencers (Influencer Marketing)

Communication between two people and then we go to a broadcast communication. Style for the last one hundred hundred and fifty years once the public was Allowed to communicate back with us and this two-way dialogue was reestablished.

I think it was a game changer for not just a journalism industry, but PR Marketing across every industry and all sectors and category Wizards involved in Kind of the digital aspects, of virtually everything that they do so I mean, if There’s any one change: it’s just the going from the unusual to the ubiquity Of digital and its impact, not just on communications but on business overall If we look at these social media influencers and their ability to publish And amplify content to large audience segments.

This is a paradigm shift in how We do business today, social media influencers are the new royalty. Influencer has always been an important Tool for brands because it is more powerful when someone else is talking. About you or your product, in a positive way than when you are, it, gives you this Third-Party credibility of sort of an endorsement it used to be that are the Main influences we dealt with in public relations or media.

The conversation used To be about 5, 10 years ago, what magazine covers? Do you have what Magazine covers do happen. That was the thing people don’t even talk about. Magazines anymore between Twitter and Instagram and Facebook reddit, I mean That’s the place where you can see where the cultural conversation is going so We’ve had to adapt to that people are reading about entertainment, almost less Looking for factual information as looking for recommendations or looking At what’s hot or what people are talking about, because not only do they want to Have their time sort of mitigated by only paying attention to the things that That are hot or people are talking about.

They also want to be part of the Conversation so those people, friends, family people they may follow, like Influences that you’re talking about sort of sift through the madness and say Out of the 300 things that are in front of you right now, these are the five that You should pay attention to. We just used to have radio, television and print and Now you have dozens of social blogs for there ways to reach people and also Have conversations with them? That’s changed the whole dynamic of our Business, I remember it was novel that a brand would say.

Oh my gosh people are Talking about us on Twitter, what do they say and they would freak out about every Little criticism that really grew and awareness of the power of it on a Slightly negative standpoint, but then there was a growing awareness that oh, we Can influence that conversation or we can learn from those valid criticisms? And improve our products and build a better relationship by being good Listeners and hearing from our customers, companies in the last several years, have Seen an opportunity to become much more aggressive about self-publishing So companies are much we’re in the business of content.

Creation and syndication, the attitude is, if we don’t tell our story, who will Technology, social blogs platforms and so forth kind of provide a way in which They can do that. So you know, virtually every company today sees themselves as a Publisher of one sort or another, it’s interesting! What some of these large Brands are doing now around content marketing. If you look at Marriott and Their creation of their content, studio, they’re, putting a flag in the ground and Saying look: we are a media company.

Having said that, the impact of that Publishing and the impact of that syndication is still directly linked to How effective they are at getting influencers to embrace that content and Share that content, you know about 85 percent of consumers, want more of a Humanized two-way communication type of relationship with their companies on Social and digital, but only about 20 percent, believe that that’s actually Happening the way they used to create content was in a vacuum, one-way.

Communications, they used to think about. What’s the new product, what’s B, Initiative that we really need to get there, let’s create a one picture or one Article and we’ll put it out across Facebook, Twitter Instagram YouTube now. Each platform has a different type of person that follows that those are Different types of content and different types of people, consumers are very savvy. Right, especially younger as you get to the Millennials Millennials with savvy They understand what you’re trying to you know.

Don’t try to sell me this and Try to push me this, and I can immediately see to see that and when This connection is non-organic. You immediately switch the blog. You Immediately press stop on your browser player because you understand them is Not honest, the challenge is to find these content pieces that are one Obviously, connected to a certain extent, to the band, but also connected to the Consumer in an emotional level, in order to do that, you need to really work with People who are part of that group bringing in what we call now influencers I would say the first time I really noticed the power of influencers rising Was when I was working at Google and I was helping launch Google+ and at first Our primary focus was to identify celebrities as we’re working with Celebrities we actually realized that there were these other communities of People who had followings that were just as big, if not bigger, and maybe their Numbers when it’s big with the engagement was a lot bigger, so the power That those influencers had in a lot of ways is actually more impactful than the Power we saw this the celebrities having how to Gumrah a spirit if you’re on the Internet and you want to find out something we all pretty much go to.

Google, so I’m going to do inspired by my girlfriend, Google myself, so I’m going to Type is PewDiePie, and then there are people who exist outside of that. Traditional power structure and traditional ways of getting their voice. Across so maybe they blogs but they’re, not a journalist but still have a Significant following and a significant number of people that are listening to Them we’ve been influencing behavior one person to another forever, but digital And social media have allowed for that to scale at scale is unprecedented.

That An individual who may or may not be of a postive authority or you know, be famous Or have their television show or be a big personality of some kind? They can to Earn an audience over time and and be an influencer from their living room from Their computer, you know people often ask me why don’t I Reply to negative comments, that’s because I only have two sides. I really See influencers as the sort of real embodiment of the social media, Revolution for social media we’ve seen tremendous changes from 2000 through 2017: first in the late 1990s and early 2000s The introduction of blogging platforms we move from there to sites like YouTube, That came along in 2005, which was very transformative in how we publish and Consume article content: after 2005, we saw Facebook opening to the public, it was no Longer only for university students that became open to the public in 2006 that Was the same year that Twitter also launched it was a sort of odd little Platform that had 140 characters on it, 2010 Instagram launched itself.

2011 was The beginning of snapchat that came along Facebook then bought Instagram in 2012 Twitter bought a vine platform in 2012. Tremendous changes in growth here, If I had told you in 2004-2005 that your MySpace page or fabulously bedazzled Myspace page was no longer going to exist in a couple years. Most people want To believe me, but the fact of the matter is social media. The social web has Changed from Mendeley in the last 15 years, it’s dynamic and changing it.

Doesn’t stand still social media in general and YouTube Specifically and really all the platforms that have become famous at This point really didn’t start as Commerce based society and today we’re Bringing you the winners who, according to Forbes, are making Bank this year. Youtube started in 2005 just to tackle a technological problem at that time, which Was the difficulties in transfer article? It had no intention to become a article Destination, it had no intention to become an entertainment destination.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you: About that bloodline, 100, 100 days of me recording my life. There was a point in Time and and I’m very happy to say that I that I was part of it and it was Around 2010 2011, when once we figured it out the intellectual property protection, System and we made pieces with everyone that produces intellectual property, That’s when we started to understand that we had people at the platform Creating content and aggregating a very large audience around their content.

Those audiences were going from these intimate crowds that they could no One-To-One into crowds that they were really performing for that you know Indirectly – and you really went from a friend network to an audience – and I Think a lot of those creators realized that and started to started to refine What they were doing, I am your host Corey, Vidal and you’re reading my show I’r trying to figure out what would make people come back to my articles and and What can keep people’s attention for more than five minutes, because people’s People lose attention really quickly already.

This is probably getting too Long so I’m going to cut right here. I’ve been posting on YouTube for two Years all kinds of articles of me sharing some of my random talents that I have I dance I play guitar or I sing kind of the main three. I also do some acting Here and there um and some of the articles, I’ve posted, have gotten a lot of hits. And in turn I ended up with a lot of subscribers, so YouTube ended up actually Making me a partner nobody ever considered.

This would make The money it was just, how do we get people to read our stuff? I’r not quite Sure how you have this plan, I don’t. Okay, that’s the beauty of Youtube oh shut up. I hate that intro, I’m a filmmaker and a producer. It’s why I Moved to LA to do originally, and I met a bunch of people who were like YouTube’s Really cool or making stuff – and I was like oh I’m a I make some stuff, so we Started to work together and make things together and try and figure out how this Youtube thing was working and we were like.

Oh if you upload at 2:00 p.M. On a Tuesday, it does better than if you upload at 9:00 a.M. On a Wednesday So everybody like okay I’ll, do that too, and then we figured out thumbnails if You make them look this way, it’ll get more clicks, so we were kind of figuring Out how the whole thing worked, and so I became part of that community that I Added slowly, it started to grow and that initial group of people became the first Youtube millionaires, I think most of them are still around.

It happened. Because we were the very first platform that empowered people for the very very First time we’re giving people the ability to draw together themselves, Hey Look at this Shayla, we love what we’re not back, we’re not picking the winners. The audience is picking the winners, so I think, because we were the very first Platform to empower people, we got this massive amount of young storytellers Many of them extremely knowledgeable, extremely talented, telling their stories To the world, I tried to put up a song of my daughter, night singing and by Accident is all by accident, ended up going viral on YouTube.

I started getting restyled by a bunch of people a lot of a lot of media attention. To the past three years and to this day, action and I decided to To to go even deeper, so you know singing songs with my daughter was fun and stuff Like that, and I realized I was given an idea of like blogging, what is hockey you Know and I and I realized that I’ve been blogging, my whole life recording my kids Memories and doing and talking to myself in the counter I was crazy, but on I Wasn’t crazy, I was blogging so then a light bulb hit.

You know, I’m getting Ready to apply for Law School for graduate school, and I decided to do this – Instead, I started to become a youtuber and share my life to the world, focusing On family, community, art and music, and and really talking about things that Matter to me, like immigration and everything I was Serving and things that I care about, I really do really care about this and I Really want to share this world, so I started to do a head of fun and, like Really inspire people to think about it like influence or you know, influence was One point: oh right: the reason why is it’s really challenging to make good Article content, the level of complexity, is higher than an image.

It’s tough to find People who are really passionate about editing article and creating that content So your pool of influencers are potential. Influencers is much smaller. You look at a platform like Instagram or a lot of these mobile social platforms. Their image phase, so you don’t need to edit it. You don’t have to have any sort. Of knowledge on how to create the content, you can just You know plug and fight, and so we saw a much larger pool of potential Influencers and we saw much lower barrier to entry to creating good Content, so you put those together and rather than seeing a handful of Influences emerge we’re seeing tens of thousands as social media itself evolves.

And as we see new platforms, there’s going to be the people who get it first, there’s a whole different breed of Influencers on snapchat that didn’t pick up YouTube and put it on snapchat They understood snapchat is something inherently different. They understood That this whole concept of writing on the article is new and so you’ve got People like geo snap and my ology, and these and shonduras people who weren’t Influencers on other blogs, but latched onto this thing so quickly and So natively it was unbelievably creative and then you, you see other people copy Them you see, bring a copy of them and follow them staying relevant.

It’s a lot. Of work, there’s new apps all the time and you don’t know which ones are going. To take off in which wall, yes, you have to get on them. All musically is blowing Up right now, I don’t know why you know and if you didn’t get on early enough, You’re out, I’ve grown as technologies grown so right now, a really big thing: That we have in the world of technology is livestream, so I was on livestream Very early on ATS back then we had meerkat and I was One of the top near catters and then we had periscope when I found out that now, Periscope was coming out and you could save it on your phone.

I was like yes, the Tech gods could like kissed down on me and my my Effort so I dug into a periscope very quickly and very deeply I’m proud to say on the top latina Periscope are continue to be, I’m actually nominated for a shorty award. This year, for periscope of the year for me, I’ve always had a natural inclination. For technology so being able to really combine that and, more importantly, being Able to use it as a pipeline for me to share what I go through with the hopes.

Of inspiring them to pursue their dreams and their passions is really what my Overall community theme is which is love bug nation. In the interviews I’ve done. I Often find that the the viral sensation has to do a lot of work to sustain those Those connections and you’ll see that sometimes you’ll see somebody who goes Viral and becomes sort of culturally famous for a moment in digital space. Either through a newscast that ends up on on YouTube and blows up or one Picture that everybody starts sharing all over the place and and then we find Out who that person really is in the world and they become influential and That was buzzing wondering just who this cashier Beauty might be.

I went from a Hundred and fourteen followers on Twitter to three hundred and fifty Thousand and one night 24 hours ago, no one’s just like a normal cashier at Target and then some girl took a picture of me and I never saw her take a picture. Of me, but there was a group of girls that would come in and take pictures of Me every once in a while they I would notice it sometimes, but this one I Didn’t my manager came up to me one day.

It was on a Sunday. I remember she came Out to me – and she was like hi she’s pushy – has like 20 thousand retweets on Twitter I was like no, I thought it was fake right and then bad picture. Yeah Uh-Huh and then about an hour later Ellen reached out to me a couple days: After that, I went on suffer Ellen. That was terrifying. Because I was just like kid that worked at Target, I had no like experience in That whole realm and I just kind of went from there – I got up to like 750 thousand Followers on Twitter, in, like a couple weeks, two million on Instagram And a couple weeks is the rollercoaster.

I think the other way to look at this Are normal people? I mean people really who never intended to be entertainers or Influencers in the first place, who were just having conversations about Something they really cared about, whether it was a specific passion like Gaming or sports or makeup fashion, there’s so many different fields in Which this has happened? They just talk about them because they really want to Connect with people about you know some aspect of their of their interest.

I created the look at the first moment. Yes, that’s a passion, just like a hobby, For the weekend, so I’d used to take pictures with my mom in the garden of my House and just I share the pictures only the weekend – Saturdays and Sundays, but This is a hobby like because I always have liked fashion. I like clothes, how to Combine different styles, I, like fashion when I was little, I was always looking The magazine’s with my month I create the blog and then Facebook Instagram was My life media like two years ago, but it has grown very fast.

I think, because of The the feeling with my followers, I’m always trying to answer them all the Questions that they have the thing that the most important thing for me is that They look at me like very natural. I can be like this with makeup, but I can also Show them with a bony one here, mine with my hair and a mask at night, or when I Wake up like good morning this is my morning face, so people want to know that Not like more to feel you like, more clothes, not like a model or I’m not Perfect – and I know pretend to be – I don’t like it I’r just Martin and I try to serve in my daily life site.

It was my only passion. When I was kid I was plates okay and then, when I was 18 a doctor told me like You need to stop because you, you have a problem, a genetic problem underneath and It was a big shock for me because it was the only thing besides Studied I was doing in my life and I select how I’m going to do that and then a Door open and say like if you restraint, you work out your legs in the gym with Certain exercise, you may recover your knee and you may keep track the future.

For soccer for everything, so I hung out with Adam, I met many people who helped Me out to understand this amazing world, like Fitness, how it better, how train Harder, I would exercise a million dollar, so that became my my my passion. So when I move here to Los Angeles, any Exercise I was doing I posted anything. I didn’t trust at all in Salem. I just did It because this girl she became my friend she told me, like you – need to do It that’s like okay, she knows better than me.

How is working Los Angeles, so I’r going to do it, but in few times I saw the people respond. The people answered To all the tips, all the questions I posted in Instagram all the stuffs, I Select, oh, this is working. You know this is truly working and I was connecting With people from all around the world, which is fantastic and that in that Point is when I discovered the the potential of insulin, so I took it.

Serious and I’m posting like very regularly like three four times a week: About tips of nutrition exercise, training, lifestyle – I think a lot of them. Had to come to realize that they had an influence that actually could be Commercialized some way, I did it like a step by step and when I was about 50,000 Or 60,000 on Instagram, that was the moment the malls in the top, when I Started like asking for money, of course, because I said I have these followers And I think that this has to be like I went to wind while that was happening.

More and more companies, especially some you know, really forward-looking. Companies started to realize that this was an opportunity to talk to a Demographic, they were having a hard time reaching. What do you think of em as Millennials people who are sort of on the cutting edge of digital technology, They were harder to contact through those traditional media, and so they Needed to figure out new ways to to contact them in ways that felt authentic.

So what we try to do is learn from influencers and learn from people who Are online and finding audiences online and take whatever bit of authenticity or Whatever piece of shareable that they’ve star To the flourishing to create, how do we incorporate that into a brand message in A way that now we make one a piece of content for a brand. It doesn’t feel like A commercial it feels like a piece of entertainment that I really enjoy add Value to my life – and I want to share it with my friends – The traditional model has moved away from what it is.

The old-school Commercial! Thirty, second, to a more you know, digital based advertising, which is What we now call branded content, it has moved from trying to push in a 30-second Spot a product to like, let me talk to you because, as a brand, we understand What you are into and when the content creates this more of a lifestyle content, That is presented by a brand more so than hey. Look at the brand.

But what’s Interesting is that a great social media campaign influencer campaign, if it Generates enough conversation, it then becomes newsworthy and then the earned Media blogs will pick it up. I was brought in initially to manage digital Content specifically for one of our clients, which is Lexus at that time, the Idea was to create a portal for the Hispanic and the American market that Would speak to that consumer beyond just buy this car, or this is our brand? We Really wanted to connect to that consumer.

This is a luxury brand, so at a High level or a lifestyle level, to give you an example, one of the pillars is Lexus called them it’s music right now. Hispanics were very passionate about Music and through people here at the agency, I was lucky to be introduced to Gillian Tia, who was the creator and host Olivia Lexus % stepfather Chris? This is The music show that you know day in the life of a up-and-coming alternative.

Artist and I find when I saw that that the concept was was really organic. You know: pili went from one place to another, one in the vehicle to me. Specifically thinking about Lexus, this is a perfect integration. She is music Lover and she talks to music lovers and there’s a very direct connection. Even Though she’s not a musician, she is a curator, a connoisseur of what’s coming. Up and so her audience trusts her I’ve been very lucky to work with really high friends, Heineken Starbucks Lexus And I’ve been very lucky to work with them, because I think that there are Brands and my brand being la vida really go well together and that’s why it works.

You know: that’s why it’s like. Okay, these are successful campaign manifest you can Have the USA momentum? My content is: very, it’s really like my life, so it’s very Comes are very genuine place. It comes from really connecting with my followers. And showing them what my life is like when it comes to a brand, I really sit. Down with a brand and listen to what their purpose is and what the goal of That contain is, and then through that information, then obviously the concept That, without their will, relate to them as well.

Actually, I think influencers who Are now being mentioned, as you know, the new kings of media and promotion, I think That I agree with it. I think that in the last couple years we’ve seen how Influencers are very important to marketing. However, the one thing that I Will say is that when you look at an influencer, you got to look beyond his Numbers beyond how many people he reaches you know I can have millions of Followers, but if these are not, followers are actually interested in his message.

Sometimes it’s tough to gauge that right and there’s tools that we use in other Production companies that you can see the top influencers and see the numbers And that’s one thing: do you need to meet them, one for personality and two to make Sure that these are actually talking to these audiences, so when we’re advising Clients or when we’re doing research anything we’re finding. Now everyone is Talking about you’ve got to engage people with smaller followings, meaning That they’re trying to find their tribe.

This is me finding the person who I Absolutely 100 % relate to, and I am inspired by and therefore I’m more Likely to make a purchase from them, then this person who’s got a bigger following So, instead of there being the one celebrity or the one youtuber that Everybody knows sure they still exist right. You’re PewDiePie, Michelle Phan Like they’re still out there but what’s more interesting to me and I think more Indicative of what’s new about about influencers and online spaces, In general is that within certain niche communities in leash interests, you have Those kings, you have the person who is not, you know, gods to everyone, but to This particular group of people who love this kind of music or love this kind of Art or think this particular brand of humor is funny.

They dominate advertisers. And marketers feeling, as if an influence or activation, is pulling the wool over The eyes of anyone is delusional. Like the viewers know, this is a partnership. They know this is a brand thing, so I think using the word authenticity People often think like: oh, it doesn’t look like an ad. No consumers know that They’re being paid for this or they’re getting something from it, the FCC Requirements have made it extremely clear that you have to basically beat People over the head with the fact that this is the partnership, the language That the FCC uses that requires influencers to disclose that there have A relationship of some kind with a brand they’re talking about it, has to be clear.

And conspicuous the rule is basically that if your grandma in Iowa can’t tell That this is an ad. You need to be more obvious about it, like it’s, a very low Standard, so when we think about authenticity, it’s not about fooling the Customer, the consumer, it’s about its feeling, like there’s still validity and What the influencer are the same, it’s kind of twofold number one is the Content, they are producing their point of view on life.

You know what is their Personal story is this a product they would or brand. They would actually use. Or be open to, or if not is there a damn good super creative reason? Why and we’re Intentionally disrupting it, you should never try to deceive the consumer. What We see is there’s nothing wrong with partnering with a brand right people. Understand the same way, a television network has commercials right or a TV Show has product placement, it’s the same thing, but the way I like To look at it, it’s almost like, through the analogy of a professional surfer, you Never look at a professional surfer and say: oh you’re, being sponsored by Red Bull, that’s so bad right or you’re being sponsored by Channel Island.

That’s so Bad, you always look at it and say like wow. That’s awesome! You’re partnering with a brand that you really like that you’re associating Yourself with, and so it’s often a win-win cause, I’m very true to who I am And very true to that message: most brands know when they reach out to me. It Definitely has to be not just to win for them, but for me the thing that I’m Always thinking about is how is this one going to be a win for my community? If I Take care of my community and I also take care of the client.

I know it’ll be A win for me yet and if it’s a great match, as I said, and it really meets a Certain amount of criteria, then I’m in discovering that I could make money on All this in, like really Wow it was insane. It wasn’t like you really. You Could just be yourself and get paid for it all right, that’s cool! So I decided to Keep going, keep going, keep going and being myself and trying to be myself and Finally, I came to these past six years.

Seven years, I really learned to discover Me as a person as an entertainer as a father as a youtuber as a fan as a Influence or power Latino, I started attending conferences. I started to pick I started speaking at school. I started getting to know other people. I started You know doing more on Facebook, on Instagram and on Twitter and really Connecting with people and trying my best to really inspire families, kids Fathers mothers to remember that it’s okay B, that it’s okay to have fun! It’s Okay, to be yourself and to not follow trends, to not do what others do, but do You you know so and a lot of brands that I’ve worked with early on understood.

That and I really tried mine to say my ground and to be honest with myself and Try to be real with people 20 comments from the article that I made For my wife, the one that is about about her about International Women’s Day and Her voice being my voice, and I a lot of you a lot of you were writing that I Don’t know if it’s new people, I don’t know if it’s people that have been I Think the primary reason for success for influencers is trust.

They build these Communities in which they’re in the center people subscribe to them and Connect to them and follow their lives in a way that we’ve never been able to Follow people’s lives before even celebrities in movies were playing Somebody else you know the athlete on a field is taking on a role, but but the Connection that you get through something like YouTube or Instagram or Facebook is really banned themselves and so there’s there’s this trusting.

Connection that comes from this sort of mass friendship that they build together. I think we live in a trust deficit now, so we have so much information. We don’t Know how to process it, and so what we look for is trust and what we trust is People and so we look at reviews to decide what movies we’re going to Download we look at reviews to decide what restaurants we’re going to eat at We look at recommendations for which cars we’re going to buy, so we we really Look to people to make almost every decision in our life and so influences Are just one part of that influencers have the level of engagement, they have With their audience, because there’s a sense of friendship, how’s it going Everyone pewdiepie here and bang, welcome to my very first non-game oftentimes Influencers start out just like anybody where they’re just A kid putting a camera on in their bedroom and just giving it a shot, and I Think people really relate to that because they feel like oh, that could be Me that could be my best friend I could be my neighbor.

The power of influencers Is that they have this direct connection with their fans, the fans have been Reading them, who knows for how long, I trust what they say and they follow what Their suggestions are, they have to be a little careful with that power where We’re always looking for what’s happening next and in trying to be aware. Of that and we partner with lots of outside companies to help us be on the Cutting edge coal companies have grown up in this space now, who are Intermediaries between brands and influences I’m 26 years old.

I think I Made it to the fourth splurt under 30 list, just because a lot of attraction, We’re getting in the space we have a few awards and accolades from previous work. We’ve done, and I think as well. The influencer marketing space is a very Young space and has a lot of opportunity for young entrepreneurs to step up Influencers by one of the most talked about words and marketing today, it Started at a really low price point in 2010 and it’s been increasingly growing.

Due to you know, marketers and brands just seeing the value in it and it’s Becoming more analytical in today’s day and age, to where brands are a little bit, More savvy and influencers are also just as savvy as well, because they’re Receiving deals left and right from different types of brands. I think in Terms of, if there’s a bubble, I wouldn’t consider it a bubble. I think I think the Market will always will always work itself out and there’ll always be a need.

For influencers, I think eventually, there’s going to be a point. Where is There’s more of a standard protocol, instead of it being the wild wild west. At this point, there’s no exact science to it. You
